This was a place I had never been before; every brick and every piece of cloth felt new and exciting.

Seeing that I didn't move, she took a pair of slippers from a nearby cabinet and placed them beside my feet. She squatted down
in front of me, looked up, and said, "Liangliang, quickly change into your slippers and go rest on the sofa."

Watching her unbutton my sandals, I stammered, "I... I can do it myself."

feet, took my handbag, and placed it on the floor. The moment our hands touched, I
