After the guardian beasts' playful antics in Chapter 83 of the "Storm of the Wind and Clouds" arc

, I finally remembered the heavy responsibility I bore. According to the map, the location of the Water of Life should be right here. However, there wasn't a single mountain here, nor even a trace of the towering fountain—the Water of Life. Could the map be faulty? Or perhaps the map was old, and the terrain had changed beyond recognition? I carefully examined my surroundings, but nothing caught my eye. Could the map really be wrong?

Suddenly, I noticed a strange phenomenon: beside a rather small, multicolored lake, a dozen or so small magical beasts joyfully leaped into the air and vanished into thin air. The disappearance of these small magical beasts should have alerted the adult ones, but they continued strolling leisurely. Weren't they worried? Several more small magical beasts disappeared, but they remained unmoved. This made me suspicious. Had this happened frequently, and they become accustomed to it? Just then, I suddenly noticed that the group of smaller magical beasts seemed to have appeared out of thin air again, reappearing beside the adult magical beasts. Their spiritual energy seemed even stronger than before, and a lively atmosphere enveloped them. Were there some strange things happening there, with these smaller magical beasts appearing and disappearing? I extended a wisp of my divine sense towards that direction and, sure enough, felt a magical fluctuation emanating from the five-colored lake. Half a meter above the lake was a transparent pentagram teleportation array; the smaller magical beasts had used that array to transport themselves to another location. Thinking of this, I teleported with Kelly to the pentagram teleportation array. Seeing two humanoid monsters suddenly appear before them, the magical beasts scattered in fright.

"Honey, it's so nice watching them from afar! Why did you have to disturb them!" Kelly tugged at my sleeve, complaining.

"Don't talk, I've discovered an interesting place!" I chuckled softly.

"Oh, what place?" Kelly asked curiously.

"Come with me!" I pulled Kelly into the pentagram magic circle in the void. The scenery changed, and we found ourselves beside a forest laden with fruit. One by one, plump fruits hung heavily on the branches, their tempting fullness bending the branches low. Some unknown magical beasts gazed at the delicious food, their mouths watering, their eyes filled with undisguised desire. To avoid disturbing them, Kelly and I concealed ourselves, observing our surroundings. As the desire in their eyes intensified, a pang of pity stirred within me. With a flick of my finger, a fiery red, oval fruit fell into the mouth of a strangely shaped magical beast. After swallowing the fruit, the beast snorted, and flames erupted from its body. In the blink of an eye, its body swelled considerably; it had leveled up! If it was level six before, it was now undoubtedly level seven. I tried feeding a light blue fruit to the beasts, and the same thing happened again.

"These fruits are good stuff, let's get some for them!" I waved my hand, and a whole bunch of colorful fruits were stored in my dimensional space. To the horde of phantom beasts, these delicious treats seemed to have sprouted wings and flown away—it was utterly unbelievable.

"Oh, who is it that has disrupted the balance of this Forest of Life, bestowing power upon them without permission!" A deep voice rang in our ears, tinged with anger.

Oh no, I got too excited! How could I forget that such a spiritually vibrant forest wouldn't be without guardian beasts! I stopped collecting, secretly alarmed.

Suddenly, the earth trembled, and a vast, intense, and world-destroying aura filled the entire forest. Suddenly, a body over a hundred feet long appeared in the sky above the forest. Silver scales enveloped its massive form, and two pairs of shimmering, silver wings fluttered gently. A crown-like growth on its enormous head, within which a faint silver light could be seen, clung to it. Its two barrel-sized eyes glared at us with fury, and its scarlet forked tongue occasionally released wisps of silver poisonous mist. However, this seemingly potent poisonous mist seeped into the forest unharmed; not even one of the magical beasts had fallen. I then turned to look at the group of magical beasts. They remained quietly waiting for their meal, completely oblivious to the changes in the sky and the powerful aura emanating from it. Suddenly, I detected a magical fluctuation in the air. I cautiously extended my divine sense and immediately understood. It turned out that when the guardian beast discovered us, it had already isolated us from the forest and the other phantom beasts. The tremor we had just witnessed was merely an illusion created by this guardian beast. However, the fact that it could create such a powerful illusion, almost fooling even me, meant that this guardian beast was no ordinary creature.

The Silver-Winged Python coiled its hundred-foot-long body, its head facing us, and spoke in human language: "Ignorant humans, why have you disrupted the balance of this Forest of Life? And why did you step into this forest forbidden to humans?"

Faced with the Silver-Winged Python's questions, we were speechless for a moment. However, it was true that we had entered the forest; we were guests in this forest. To find the Water of Life, we were willing to use force to seize it, but as guests, we should first treat humans with courtesy, and I, in turn, treated the beast with courtesy.

I bowed slightly to the silver-winged python in the sky and said respectfully, "Guardian Beast, we've come here only to ask for some Water of Life to save a hundred dormant phantom beasts, as a war is about to break out and we urgently need their help!"

"Oh, then how do you explain destroying this forest?" A hint of anger flashed in the silver-winged python's eyes as it spoke.

"Oh, you mean this fruit in my hand?" I asked with a smile, holding the fiery red, fist-sized fruit in my hand.

"Indeed, this 'Fruit of Life' is a miraculous food for magical beasts, but not every magical beast can eat it. It has the effect of repairing the tissues inside a magical beast's body and increasing its spiritual power. An ordinary level 5 magical beast can skip one level and become a level 6 magical beast after eating it. If it eats two more, it can directly become a level 8 magical beast. However, at this point, eating more will have no effect whatsoever, at most it can only provide for the consumption of its spiritual power. Therefore, if these 'Fruit of Life' were to fall into the wrong hands, it would cause a huge uproar. Look how many you have picked! This will plunge our Magical Beast Forest into a desperate situation!" The Silver-Winged Python explained the advantages and disadvantages of the "Fruit of Life" to me with great concern.

Looking at the bare forest, I chuckled dryly and quickly explained, "Well, Guardian Beast, you didn't tell me beforehand, but I thought these 'Fruits of Life' were quite good, so I accidentally took some! If you want them back, I'll return them to you right now!" Suddenly, a small mountain of various fruits appeared before me.

"Is this all?" the Silver-Winged Python suddenly asked, its expression shifting to a hint of doubt.

"This is all. You saw how many phantom beasts I rewarded earlier. This is all I have." Actually, there were many more "Fruits of Life" in my dimensional space, but hearing the Silver-Winged Python's words, I quickly realized what I was doing and feigned a dejected expression, forcing a bitter smile.

"Insolence! Do you think I'm blind? You rewarded so many phantom beasts with 'Fruits of Life,' they're probably all in your pocket now!" the Silver-Winged Python sneered.

“I’m a very honest person. I took it when I said I would, and I returned it when I said I would. I didn’t embezzle anything. If you don’t believe me, come and search me!” I said calmly.

"You're courting death!" The Silver-Winged Python roared in fury, its coiled body unfurling as it soared through the air, spewing a cloud of silvery poisonous mist from its mouth towards us. At that moment, I also assumed a fighting stance, ready to meet its first attack. Suddenly, my right arm began to tremble violently, and Little Golden, sealed within, scurried restlessly inside. Actually, from the moment I entered this Forest of Life, it had become uneasy, constantly trying to get me to release its seal. I thought it was just playing around, so I ignored it. But seeing its increased unease, I knew things were bad, and reluctantly, I released its seal. A high-pitched dragon roar echoed through the forest, and a golden light burst forth from my right arm. A miniature golden dragon flew out of the light, instantly growing to over a hundred meters tall. Seeing the silvery poisonous mist, it spat out a stream of saliva, dissolving it completely.

When the Silverwing Python heard the high-pitched dragon roar, it sensed things were getting complicated. When it finally saw the hundred-meter-long golden dragon soaring in the air, it cried out, "Divine Dragon!"

Hearing the Silverwing Python call it that, Little Gold felt a pang of sadness. Did its father really not recognize it? Or was it because its drastic change had aroused its father's awe? Regardless, it still had to acknowledge its father as its son! So, Little Gold wagged its tail and excitedly cried out, "Father, don't you recognize me? I'm your Little Gold, the proud Silverwing Python King's child!"

"Little Gold? The Silverwing Python King's child? Little Gold, is it really you?" The Silverwing Python murmured, its lips trembling. Facing this small but several-level-higher sacred dragon, it felt a surge of affection. But when it left, its Little Gold was a lower level than itself. Even with hundreds of years of relentless cultivation, it couldn't possibly have become a divine dragon. So where did this affection come from?

"Father, don't you really recognize me? Look at my forehead again, the golden and silver horns that signify my identity are still there!" Little Golden lowered its head, allowing the Silver-Winged Python to clearly see its silver horns and recognize its identity.

"Golden and Silver Horns, Golden and Silver Horns, you really are my child, Little Golden! My child, my poor child!" The Silver-Winged Python cried out, tears glistening in its eyes.

"Father!" Little Golden cried out to the Silver-Winged Python, its eyes gleaming with tears.

"Child!"

"Father!"

The two giant bodies intertwined, rising and dancing in the air. From the sky came Little Golden's childlike laughter and the Silver-Winged Python's hearty laughter. The harmonious father-son relationship deeply moved me, and Kelly was so moved that she cried uncontrollably, throwing herself into my arms. Even my clothes were soaked with her tears. No wonder women are made of water; once they start crying, it never ends. Even I was a little scared.

After a mix of joy and sorrow, the Silver-Winged Python, carrying Little Gold, flew to me. It nodded its head and thanked me, saying, "Thank you for your attention, God, allowing my son to directly advance to the rank of Divine Dragon. I thank you so much!"

"No need to thank me, no need to thank me. Helping others is my joy, no, no, helping dragons is my joy, it's the source of my happiness! Besides, this is all thanks to Little Gold's hard work, otherwise he wouldn't have advanced so quickly!" I quickly waved my hand modestly.

"God, I was very rude earlier, I'm truly sorry. I don't have anything good here, please take back that pile of 'Fruits of Life.' Didn't you need 'Water of Life' to save your life? I'll take you to get it right away!" Knowing the whole story, the Silver-Winged Python was very respectful. Knowing it didn't have anything worth my attention, seeing how much I liked the 'Fruits of Life,' it quickly offered them to me as a favor.

"Since that's the case, then I won't stand on ceremony!" I rubbed my hands together, glanced at it, and with a flick of my left hand, the small mountain-shaped "Fruits of Life" was stored back in my dimensional space.

Chapter 84 of the Wind and Cloud Chronicle: A Call from the Heart

"Hey, where's the Water of Life? I haven't seen a trace of it yet!" I complained.

"God, don't worry, we'll be there soon," the silver-winged python, flying in the air, replied with a smile, its eyes narrowed.

After walking for a while, the silver-winged python suddenly stopped moving. Just as I was wondering what was going on, it uttered a long and difficult incantation, and soon a barrier resembling a glass door opened to both sides. The silver-winged python was the first to slip through the wide gate, followed by Little Gold. Seeing them go in, we followed suit, and then the automatic barrier closed.

After stepping through the gate, we found ourselves inside a huge mountain. Even the silver-winged python's body, over a hundred feet long, didn't seem crowded here. Inside this enormous mountain, in the very center of this stone hall, lies a circular pool. A jet of water, a hundred meters high, shoots forth from the pool, its milky white liquid splashing down and landing in the pool, which is about a hundred meters in diameter. This is perhaps the legendary "Water of Life." Yet, a powerful voice within me calls to me, urging me to slowly move forward. What comes into view are countless small holes, each about half a meter square, dotted the rock face. Within these holes shimmer various colors: pale yellow represents earth-elemental phantom beast eggs; light blue glows indicate lightning-elemental phantom beast eggs; and azure shimmers signifies water-elemental phantom beast eggs. These diverse colors represent phantom beast eggs of various elements, and this vibrant light brings a touch of life-giving joy to this barren and desolate mountainside.

Before me stood a stepped altar, its path blocked by various magical beast eggs, adding a touch of color to the pure white. As I curiously took my first step, the inner call grew stronger, urging me forward, forward, and forward still. The closer I got, the stronger the call became, almost bursting from my heart. I climbed step by step, until finally I saw that thing, both familiar and strange. A pillar of light, about a meter in diameter, descended from the sky. A transparent membrane allowed me to see everything inside. There was nothing strange inside the cylindrical transparent enclosure, except for an oval-shaped white egg, about half a meter in diameter. The egg was covered with all sorts of strange symbols and ancient characters. Even I, an expert in ancient languages, couldn't decipher them. I could only deduce that the characters on the white egg were extremely ancient, seemingly from a bygone era. The white egg hovered silently in mid-air, the powerful call emanating from within it. The pulsating, resonant sound was like a heartbeat—yes, a heartbeat indeed! This white egg was alive; had it been trying to communicate with me? I thought with overwhelming joy.

Just then, I felt a slight movement in my left arm. That wretched little dragon, without my summons, had escaped from the seal. I was utterly helpless against its disregard for the barrier's seal. Sure enough, it had caused me trouble the moment it emerged.

"Father, look! This is the guy who swallowed all the lightning balls I spat out! I can't believe his stomach could hold over a dozen of my lightning balls!" Little Gold hissed at the little dragon, complaining to the Silver Winged Python.

“Little Jin, don’t underestimate this little flying dragon. I still haven’t figured out its true strength. And its entire body is black. Even I, your father, have traveled all over the country and never seen one like it. It’s very unusual, very unusual!” the Silver-Winged Python exclaimed.

At this moment, a change occurred on the altar. The little black dragon (let’s name this little flying dragon after itself for now, because soon another little white one will be born, hehe!) flapped its fleshy wings and circled the transparent cylindrical shield once, then suddenly crashed into the transparent beam of light.

"No! Stop!" the Silverwing Python roared. This transparent cylindrical shield wasn't as "gentle" as it appeared. Once, a level nine Emperor Beast had inadvertently wandered in and was pulverized by it, leaving not even its crystal core behind. What a powerful force that was! Even the Steel-Copper-Toothed Beast (the level nine Emperor Beast) was utterly helpless against it. The Silverwing Python might have tested it out of curiosity before, but after that incident, it dared not act rashly. Now, seeing the little flying dragon charging towards the transparent cylindrical shield, it finally couldn't help but roar anxiously, hoping to stop it. Still relying on your bare hands? The roar of the silver-winged python was like a dragon's cry, deafening me. Strangely, such a loud roar couldn't move the mountainside at all; not even a speck of earth fell, demonstrating its sturdiness. Little Black, however, seemed oblivious, and under the gaze of everyone and the two dragons, directly passed through the cylindrical transparent shield, pouncing towards the suspended white egg.

"How could this be? How could this be!" the silver-winged python muttered to itself. It couldn't believe that the gentle yet ferocious cylindrical transparent shield would allow a low-ranking flying dragon to enter; it was an astonishing thing. Standing on the altar, I was also astonished. Hearing the Silver-Winged Python's urgent roar, I sensed something was wrong. I was about to call Xiao Hei back, but it was incredibly fast and rushed inside before I could even call it.

Xiao Hei, inside the cylindrical transparent enclosure, didn't seem to think much of it. Seeing the white egg was like seeing a familiar family member, stroking and petting it. The sight of such a large body embracing a white egg bigger than itself was comically ridiculous. But our laughter quickly faded, because as Xiao Hei embraced the white egg, the cylindrical transparent enclosure vanished into thin air, and the white egg, carrying Xiao Hei, slowly descended towards the center of the altar. Once the white egg landed smoothly on the altar, the previously unremarkable white jade altar suddenly emitted a soft white light. Within this light, I clearly saw the white egg change. The moment the white egg touched the altar, the strangely shaped symbols seemed to come alive, surging towards the point of contact between the altar and the egg, then towards the altar itself. The altar, seemingly imbued with a mysterious power, remained a mystery to me. When the symbols met this power, a miracle occurred. The symbols previously imprinted on the egg gradually appeared around the cylindrical white jade altar, and four jade dragons slowly extended from the four cardinal directions, their lifelike forms shimmering with a powerful flow of energy. Beneath the white egg, an ancient, miniature four-pointed star magic circle appeared, barely enveloping both the egg and Little Black. Seeing this four-pointed star magic circle, my expression changed drastically. This four-pointed star magic circle was far more ancient and complex than the five-pointed star magic circle, and its appearance always caused turmoil and a reshuffling of the Three Realms. Ten thousand years had passed since the last appearance of the four-pointed star magic circle. I dared not think about what kind of test this appearance would bring to the Three Realms. I only wanted to live a carefree life in the human world, indulging in pleasures. I didn't want to concern myself with these complicated matters. I would just pretend I had never seen it.

Unfortunately, the gears of fate had already begun to turn. Some things even we gods cannot refuse, much less remain uninvolved in. And I was the poor victim. I had seen what I shouldn't have seen. Was I supposed to bear this heavy responsibility? But what made me worthy of this responsibility? Was it because of my great power? But doing things requires wisdom. Those who only know how to conquer with strength are merely brutes, ultimately destined for defeat.

"Daddy, Daddy, little brother, little brother," Xiao Hei's voice suddenly rang in my ears, waking me from my reverie.

"Little brother, little brother, when did it get a little brother again?" I wondered.

Seemingly sensing my confusion, Little Black flapped its wings, circling around me, then took my hand and tried to stroke the white egg. But when I saw the flashing four-pointed star magic circle, my heart skipped a beat, and I immediately pulled my hand back as if touching a pot of boiling oil. Little Black was also thrown away by me.

After being flung away, Little Black flapped its fleshy wings, glanced at me, and then flew straight into Kelly's arms. In Kelly's arms, with tears welling up in its eyes, it cried out, "Mommy, Mommy, I want a little brother, I want a little brother!"

Being called "Mommy" by a cute little dragon at first, Kelly was quite uncomfortable, but after spending so much time together, her maternal instincts overflowed, and she actually began to treat Little Black as her own child. Now, upon hearing that Xiao Hei wanted a little brother, and recalling Xiao Hei's unusual behavior earlier, as well as the intermittent life force emanating from the white egg, she seemed to grasp a glimmer of inspiration. Seeing me still standing blankly by the altar, she hurriedly ran up to me, scolding me, "Honey, Xiao Hei just wants a little brother, why are you so fixated on it!"

Fixated? Yes, why should I be so fixated? Let it come as it will, why should I stop it! Let everything take its natural course, play what you should play, do what you should do. After I opened my heart, a long-lost smile appeared on my face, and that familiar call from the depths of my heart began to resonate again.

"Honey, what's wrong? You look strange, are you sick?" Kelly said, reaching out her slender hand to touch my forehead.

"Oh, nothing!" I grabbed her hand and said with a smile.

“Didn’t Little Black say he wanted a little brother? Now let me see what his future little brother looks like!” With that, I squeezed a thick drop of blood from my finger and dripped it onto the white egg.

The blood was quickly absorbed by the egg, but it didn’t react at all. Just then, Little Black, hiding in Kelly’s arms, cried out, “Daddy, Daddy, not enough, not enough!”

Ah, this isn’t enough. Looks like I’ll have to bleed a lot today. I smiled bitterly, bit my middle finger, and smeared the blood onto the white egg, finally covering it completely with golden blood. My face turned pale, and I almost collapsed to the ground. Luckily, Kelly was there to support me, preventing me from making a fool of myself.

At this moment, the white egg—no, it should be the golden egg—finally began to change. The entire egg emitted a soft white light, and the golden blood on its surface seeped into its body. The ancient characters on the shell suddenly began to dance, swirling around the egg before disappearing inside with a "whoosh." Simultaneously, the altar also changed. The four closed dragon mouths suddenly opened, shooting out four beams of white light, injecting pure energy into the four corners of the four-pointed star.

Just as we were observing everything on the altar, with a scream of surprise from Kelly, Little Black suddenly broke free from Kelly's embrace and rushed towards the white egg on the altar. It was too late for us to stop them. As Little Black pounced on the white egg, the entire jade altar suddenly shook. The altar, which had displayed strange symbols, burst into a blinding light. The cylindrical transparent shield returned, but this time it was covered with strange characters—the same strange characters that had appeared on the jade altar. The shield rapidly contracted, enveloping Little Black and the glowing white egg. The strange characters began to swirl around the dragon and the egg again. Then, amidst our screams, the characters suddenly slammed into Little Black's body. They quickly shrank, covering Little Black's entire body. Without the expected struggle, Little Black waved its short forelimbs at us, seemingly trying to reassure us.

Almost simultaneously, fine lines appeared on the white egg, and faint white light radiated from within. With a soft "bang," a shimmering white ball of light emerged from the egg. The blinding light made it impossible to discern what kind of creature was inside. Little Black, however, waved its forelimbs, calling out, "Brother, brother!" before lunging forward and embracing the ball of light. The ball of light seemed excited as well, emitting an even stronger glow that enveloped Little Black as well. The ball of light floated silently in the air. Suddenly, two high-pitched, powerful dragon roars erupted from within it. Even the eight-clawed golden dragons, Xia'ejin and the Silver-Winged Python King, trembled in the air before collapsing to the ground, heads bowed, for they had discovered within their very bones that their ancestor had been born, right there within that suspended ball of light! Then the ball of light rapidly expanded, and a beam of light many times brighter than before burst forth from it, blinding us. After the flash, the ball of light split into two, one black and one white, shooting towards me. To my astonishment, the two balls of light rotated and intertwined rhythmically, transforming into two shooting stars that flowed past my left hand. As they reached my shoulder, the two balls of light gradually began to expand, then began to rotate in a circle around me. During the rotation, I could vaguely see the black and white balls still slowly growing, until finally, when the two balls of light reached a diameter of about one meter, they stopped in front of me. (

Chapter 85, The Water of Life)

After the color shield on the black ball of light disappeared, a miniature dragon appeared before me. Its body, about a meter long, was covered entirely in tiny, jet-black scales. Four tiny dragon feet extended from its belly; perhaps due to the black mist, I couldn't discern how many claws each foot had. Although the two small mounds on its forehead told us it was just a young dragon, the majesty of a sacred dragon, seemingly even higher than the eight-clawed golden dragon, forbade other races from showing it any disrespect. Its somewhat frail body possessed the majesty of an ancient divine dragon, every movement exuding a kingly aura.

After the shading on the white halo disappeared, another miniature dragon appeared before me, only its scales were replaced by bright white. Also just a young dragon, yet before it, the golden dragon and the silver-winged python felt no contempt, their eyes filled with reverence—reverence for a high-ranking dragon. Unlike the black dragon, which carried a hint of murderous kingly aura, the faint white light emanating from it revealed it as a wise sage who saved all living beings. A sense of peace mingled with wisdom, and though he was weak now, his wisdom remained undiminished.

To my astonishment, I felt a tightening in my left arm, a chilling sensation spreading through it. The little black dragon, about a meter long, was coiled around my arm, its head extended, breathing out dragon breath, blinking its familiar dragon eyes, and calling out, "Daddy, Daddy, hug, hug..."

Hearing these familiar words, my heart warmed. I reached out my right hand to stroke the dragon's head, calling out, "Little Black, is that you?"

The dragon's head closed its eyes in apparent enjoyment, letting out a soft hum, and uttering a single word, "Mmm," as if acknowledging me.

Suddenly, a sharp pain shot through Xiao Hei's brain. I had lightly flicked his forehead, and I grumbled, "Xiao Hei, do you know how worried your mom and dad were? Your mom almost cried when she saw you rush into that beam of light!"

At that moment, Xiao Hei detached from my arm, circled a few times in the air, then arched his back and nodded sharply to me and Kelly beside me, calling out, "Little brother, little brother, these are Mom and Dad, come here!"

Just as we were wondering who he was calling, the little white dragon that had been hovering in the air suddenly appeared beside Xiao Hei. Xiao Hei affectionately nuzzled the little white dragon, and the little white dragon then hesitantly called out, "Dad, Mom!"

"Good, very good!" Kelly and I smiled at each other, clasped hands, and said happily.

"You don't have a name yet, do you?" I asked the little white dragon.

"Thank you, Mom and Dad, for giving me a name!" So young and already understanding such etiquette; I wonder what kind of divine dragon he'll become when he grows up.

“Your brother is called Little Black because he’s all black, so you’ll be called Little White! Black and white complement each other perfectly!” I said with a smile.

“Thank you, Dad!”

“Little brother, come with me to a nice place!” Little Black winked mischievously at Little White and called out.

At this moment, the voice of the Silver-Winged Python came from behind us: “Greetings, Holy Dragon Lord! Welcome back, Holy Dragon Lord!”

Hmm, Holy Dragon Lord? Who is the Holy Dragon Lord?! Kelly and I looked at each other, not knowing what to do.

The Silver-Winged Python seemed to understand our feelings and quickly explained: “God, your two children, Little Black and Little White, are the Dragon Gods of the Dragon Clan!”

“Ah?!” Although I had doubted Little Black’s identity before, I was shocked when I learned the true identities of Little Black and Little White from the Silver-Winged Python.

When Little Black and Little White saw us looking at them with strange eyes, they seemed to sense that something was wrong. The two dragons twisted their bodies and actually tore through the void and ran away.

"I was hoping to pull them over for a closer look, but they ran away so quickly!" I chuckled helplessly, rubbing my chin. To be honest, I was quite interested in the Dragon Gods of the Dragon Clan. They were beings on par with the Creator Gods, but why they were my summoned beasts was a mystery. But looking at those two little dragons fleeing, was this the behavior expected of Dragon Gods?

The Silver-Winged Python seemed to sense my confusion and quickly said, "My Lord, the two Dragon Gods simply haven't regained their memories, so their escape is perfectly normal."

"Oh... right, that's right, I came here to retrieve this 'Water of Life'!" I exclaimed, suddenly realizing.

"My Lord, the 'Water of Life' pool is right behind you!" the Silver-Winged Python said from the side.

I turned around and finally saw the true existence of the "Water of Life." Before, due to the strong inner calling, I hadn't noticed the wonder before me. Now, seeing this hundred-meter-long milky-white column of water, I was truly moved by the marvels of nature. The hundred-meter-long water column suddenly emitted a layer of mist as it reached its peak, rising gently upwards. Upon reaching the top of the mountainside, the mist began to swirl slowly. To our astonishment, the seven stone pillars that abruptly protruded from the mountaintop suddenly opened a small opening. Then, the mist's color gradually changed—fiery red, aquamarine… a spectrum of colors gradually emerged. The colors then systematically flowed into one of the openings. Once the seven colors were absorbed into the seven stone pillars, the ends of the inverted pillars returned to normal.

"What…what's going on? What's the purpose of those seven stone pillars?" I wondered, looking up at the pillars at the top.

"God, the Forest of Life outside is irrigated by this 'Water of Life'!" the Silver-Winged Python's voice echoed in my ears.

"Oh, so that explains why the spiritual energy outside is so dense. It's because of this 'Water of Life.' It seems this 'Water of Life' is truly magical!" I murmured to myself.

"Sigh, never mind that. Let's get enough Water of Life for a hundred or so people first!" I shook my head, stepped down the white jade steps, and said.

"Huh, what happened? It disappeared as soon as I put it in this water bag. How strange!" I said dejectedly, clutching the water bag in my hand.

"God, this 'Water of Life' is extremely cold. You must find a cold vessel to hold it!" The silver-winged python behind me reminded me.

"This one should be fine!" A vase carved with strange beasts flew out from my dimensional space. The jade vase spun in my hand, and the temperature inside the mountain instantly dropped a bit due to the ten-thousand-year-old coldness of the vase.

"That's enough, that's enough. This ten-thousand-year-old cold jade vase is perfect for holding the 'Water of Life'." The silver-winged python expelled the coldness from its body and said happily.

"Since you put it that way, then I won't stand on ceremony." The ten-thousand-year-old jade bottle flew from my hand, sliced through the air, and landed in the pool. Soon, the bottle, filled with life-giving water emitting white mist, landed in my hand.

After sealing the life-giving water in the dimensional space, I clapped my hands and said with relief, "Alright, everything's settled!" Then I calculated with my fingers; almost two days had passed since I left, and I had to hurry back, otherwise those phantom beasts wouldn't survive.

"Little Jin, time is of the essence. You should catch up with your father; we'll have to leave soon!" I said to Little Jin beside me.

"Why?" Little Jin wanted to spend more time with his father; after all, father and son hadn't seen each other for hundreds of years, and now he had to leave his father's side in a short time, which made him very reluctant.

"A group of phantom beasts outside are in critical condition; we must hurry back!" I explained.

"Father!" Little Jin's mother cried out, tears welling in her eyes.

"Go! Your father is very happy to have such an excellent child as you!" The Silver-Winged Python said softly, its eyes shining with kindness.

"Father, I will come back to see you!" Little Gold's body gradually shrank, turning into a golden light and disappearing into my right arm.

"Child, take care!" The Silver-Winged Python cried out, tears welling in its eyes.

"Kalis, let's go!" I gestured to Kalis.

"Oh, God, I was so busy talking to Little Gold that I forgot to tell you something important. Only one drop of the 'Water of Life' is needed to awaken a phantom beast; using more will have no effect!" The Silver-Winged Python said with a smile through its tears.

"Thank you!" I thanked it.

"Husband, where did Little Black and Little White go? They haven't shown up yet!" Kalis said worriedly.

"Don't worry, those two naughty little dragons will come back!" I smiled mysteriously at her, reassuring her.

Sure enough, as soon as we stepped out of the Forest of Life, Little Black and Little White suddenly appeared in front of us. Judging from their disheveled appearance, they must have encountered some "trouble." Sure enough, the roar of the Silver-Winged Python echoed from the Forest of Life, startling the surrounding birds and beasts into scattering in panic.

"Who stole my Jade Python Pearl and those precious magical beast eggs!"

Kelly and I exchanged bewildered glances. Who dared to sneak up right under our noses and steal those magical beast eggs?! As if on cue, Kelly and I both turned our gazes to the two little dragons, Black and White, hovering in the air. Under our watchful eyes, the two little dragons immediately became uneasy, ultimately succumbing to our gaze and stammering, "Mommy, Daddy, we...we know we were wrong." A whole bunch of magical beast eggs appeared before us, except for one fist-sized, white-glowing pearl, which Black held comically in its paw. It seemed these two little dragons couldn't shake their dragon-like fondness for shiny things.

"You know you were wrong and can correct it; you're both good children!" Kelly gently patted the two little ones' heads, beaming with joy.

Then, holding the ninth-tier imperial beast eggs, Kelly said, "Honey, shouldn't we send these precious beast eggs back?"

"Silly wife, wouldn't it be a waste to refuse such good things offered to us! Hehe..." I chuckled mischievously.

"But..." Kelly hesitated, a hint of worry flashing in her eyes.

"No buts, just consider it a contribution to the two Dragon Gods!" I excitedly put the beast eggs into my dimensional space.

At this moment, Kelly and the two little dragons all had the same thought: So my husband (dad) can be so mischievous!

Chapter 86 of the Stormy Chapter: Jealousy Rises

After more than a day and night of travel, Kelly and I finally appeared outside the Beast Forest, looking exhausted. At this moment, the Lia and Lina sisters, who had been anxiously waiting for me at the Beast Arena for many days, excitedly came to greet us after receiving a report from the scouts. When the two women saw the little black and white dragons circling above my head and realized I was unharmed, they rushed over without offering a word of comfort, immediately starting to chatter about them.

"What adorable little dragons! One black, one white! Honey, where did you get these two magical beasts?" Lina exclaimed, her eyes gleaming with longing.

"Yeah, they're so cute! Honey, can you get me one too?" Liya also looked at me with longing. Good heavens! These little black and white dragons aren't so easy to come by. I obtained them by sheer chance. Leaving aside whether they're dragon gods or not, just based on their level, what other dragon race in the world can compare?

"One of them is someone you know!" I said with a mysterious smile.

"Huh?! You mean one of these little dragons is someone we know?" Lina asked, her big, curious eyes wide with surprise.

"Hmm... haha!" I replied.

"But we've never seen them before, and one of them is someone we recognize!" Lina asked suspiciously.

"Think carefully again, what's missing? It's always chattering around me." I coaxed.

"What's missing? What's lacking... Let me think carefully... Ah... Oh... Where did that naughty little dragon go? Little Black, you get out here right now!" Lina first tapped her head, slowly recalling, then, as if grasping something, she slapped her head with her slender hand, then put her hands on her hips and shouted.

"Mommy, Mommy, I'm here, I'm here!" Little Black suddenly appeared in front of Lina, excitedly shouting.

"You...you're Little Black!?" Lina looked suspiciously at the half-meter-long black dragon flying before her and asked.

"Mommy, it's me! Look how beautiful I've become!" Little Black turned around, showing off to Lina. We, who were standing nearby, stared wide-eyed at Little Black's incredibly human-like words, looking at him in disbelief.

"Wow, you really are Xiao Hei! Tsk tsk tsk, you look much more handsome and beautiful than before!" Lina circled around Xiao Hei, praising him.

"Thank you, Mom! This is a gift from Xiao Hei on behalf of my little brother Xiao Bai!" Xiao Hei was beaming with pride, and out of nowhere, a fiery red phantom beast egg appeared in front of Lina, slowly landing in her hand.

"So beautiful! Thank you, Xiao Hei! Oh, you said this was a gift from your little brother Xiao Bai, what about him?" Lina's eyes sparkled as she giggled. She had always dreamed of owning a phantom beast, but only the Phantom Beast Knights could possess them throughout the entire country. Now, seeing that Xiao Hei had given her a ninth-tier Emperor-level phantom beast, her joy was overflowing, and she even wanted to thank Xiao Hei's little brother, Xiao Bai.

We, who had been watching with wide eyes, were even more incredulous to see Xiao Hei actually delivering a favor on behalf of his younger brother. I muttered to myself, "Good lad, so young and already knows how to pull strings, use connections, and even keep some for himself. It seems that spending time with us these past few days has taught him to read people and speak human language to human beings, and beast language to beasts!"

Just as Lina asked where Xiao Bai was, Xiao Bai, like Xiao Hei, suddenly appeared in front of Lina, shyly calling out, "Mommy!"

"Ah, good boy!" Lina excitedly hugged the two dragons and kissed each of them on the forehead.

Having received a gift from Lina, Xiao Hei couldn't be too lenient and naturally gave Liya a gift as well. Xiao Hei then presented Liya with a ninth-tier water-type Emperor-level phantom beast egg. From then on, the two girls and two dragons became very close, leaving me and Kelly standing to the side.

Just then, I suddenly felt my clothes being tugged. Looking down, I saw Kelly with her face downcast and her eyebrows slightly furrowed. She said, "Honey, after walking in the forest for a few days, I feel quite uncomfortable. I'd like to go back and take a shower, okay?"

Although Kelly's voice was soft, Lia and Lina were not easily intimidated. Before I could even speak, the air around us suddenly felt cold. The two sisters, who had been chatting happily with Little Black and Little White, now stared at us silently, their faces grim. The two dragons, unaware of what had happened, saw the two women's expressions suddenly change and hurriedly called out "Mommy!" around them. But the two women, consumed by jealousy, paid no heed to the dragons' calls. This alarmed the two dragons, who thought they had offended their mothers and hastily begged for forgiveness.

Kelly, who had made a pact with me, paid no attention to any of this. In her heart, there was only me. I was the shoulder she could lean on, the sanctuary for her soul, and the destination of her lifelong happiness. Whatever I asked her to do, she would do it willingly, because I was her husband.

Already sensing trouble, I didn't want Kelly to get involved in this unnecessary turmoil. Actually, ever since I left this forest, I'd been thinking about how to handle the relationship between the three women; if I mishandled it, I'd suffer in silence. Hearing that Kelly was going to bathe and change, I was secretly pleased. Taking advantage of this opportunity, I could confront the other two women and still have room to maneuver. So I readily agreed, "Go ahead, Kelly. You've been tired these past few days. Take a relaxing bath and get some sleep!"

"Okay," Kelly softly replied, and left with light, quick steps.

Seeing Kelly's figure disappear from my sight, I turned to the two women, their faces ashen, and quickly forced a smile, "My two wives, let me explain!"

"What's there to explain? You two are so in love, a perfect match made in heaven! How can we two ordinary women compare to this vibrant, beautiful rose?" Lina said jealously.

"Wife, things aren't as you think. Let me explain slowly, then you can be jealous!" So, I recounted everything I'd seen and heard in the Beast Forest. Anyway, Little Black and Little White were currently very close with the two women, so it wouldn't be difficult for them to get information out of them. I just omitted some details.

"So we've wronged you! Then why didn't you make a master-servant contract with her, instead of this husband-wife contract?" After hearing my explanation, although her jealousy subsided, Lina still felt a lingering resentment.

"Didn't you consider the power behind her? One wrong move, and it could bring you devastating disaster!" I said earnestly.

"Oh, so that's why you made a husband-wife contract with her? Wouldn't you have helped her retrieve that drop of contract blood?" Lina couldn't let go of her worries and exclaimed.

"How can you say that? The situation was urgent; how could I have intervened in time?" I was truly helpless against Lina's stubbornness.

"I don't think so. I suspect you have something to hide. You're just using this opportunity to make a contract with her and take her into your household, right?" Lina persisted, relentlessly pursuing me.

"How can I convince you? I admit I'm powerless against beautiful women, I fall in love with every one I see, but I'm not heartless. I don't want any woman who loves me to get hurt, do you understand?!" I said with a wry smile.

"Look, look, look, you said it yourself. So you've been harboring ill intentions towards her for a long time, and this is the perfect opportunity to win her heart!" I finally understood Lina's stubborn nature; I couldn't reason with her, which was my frustration.

"Speechless now! Little Black, come here!" Lina called out to Little Black like a victorious general.

"What is it, Lina, Mom?" Little Black darted to Lina's side, excitedly asking. In his eyes, offending either mother would mean trouble from his father, so he tried to emulate humans by offering lavish gifts and pulling strings. This gamble paid off; as the saying goes, "He who eats another's food is bound to do his bidding," and with this connection, he wasn't worried about his and his brother's future. So, when Little Black heard Lina's call, he assumed she had instructions and rushed over.

"Tell her everything about your father and Mother Kelly," Lina said sternly.

I was in trouble. Why hadn't I thought of this? It was too late to recall Little Black now. I tried to signal him repeatedly with my eyes, but Lina blocked my way. Suddenly, I remembered he was my summoned beast; surely a telepathic summon would work! So, I tried saying in his mind, "Little Black, don't tell Lina's mom. If you do well, Daddy will reward you!"

"Okay!" Just as he was about to tell the truth, he heard my voice from his mind and quickly changed his words, "I can't tell, I can't tell! Daddy said if I tell Lina's mom, I won't get a reward!"

Oh dear, Little Black, you're too honest! You actually quoted my exact words! Aren't you pushing me into a fire pit? I'd better get out of here first. I quietly moved my feet to leave.

"Stop!" Lina's sharp voice came from behind. My legs trembled, and I shrank back, standing still.

"My two wives, I have some urgent business to attend to, so I'll have to leave now!" I said with a smile.

"Xie Yun, you think you can run away so easily? If you don't explain yourself clearly today, don't even think about touching us again!" Lina shouted and threatened.

"Wife, let's leave these things for tomorrow. I'll take care of other things first and then come back to apologize, okay?" I said in a low voice.

"No! Xiao Hei, tell me the truth!" Lina twisted my ear and commanded.

Xiao Hei seemed to sense that his father was afraid of this Lina mother, and in order to curry favor, he immediately poured out everything that had happened between me and Kelly like beans spilling from a bamboo tube. Listening to this, I cursed Xiao Hei inwardly for being heartless and ungrateful. Not to mention that we had given them good food and drink along the way, he had even forgotten Kelly's caring words every day. Just wait and see how I deal with him later.

Seemingly feeling a chill on his neck, Xiao Hei shrank back and grinned foolishly, "Lina mother, that's all Xiao Hei knows. As for whether there's anything else, Xiao Hei doesn't know."

"Xie Yun, you've done—a—good—deed!" Lina spat out each word from her cherry lips.

"Ah... Help... Lina, my wife... let go... Ouch... It hurts... Please spare me! I... I'll change... No... Don't do this... I won't do it again..." My screams echoed from not far away, sending chills down the spines of the guards outside the Beast Arena. A cold wind blew past, making them tremble with fear.

Chapter 87 of the Storm Riders: The Demon Swordsman Oscar

finally... finally endured the two women's countless pinching fingers. With a miserable expression, I finally gained their approval and officially took Kailis into my room. However, I paid a heavy price, gaining panda eyes and bruises all over my body. Originally, the two women wanted a three-way interrogation, but understanding that the country needed me to rescue them and there could be no further delay, they had no choice but to let me go to rescue the Beast Knights.

Rushing to the resting place of the Beast Knights, I disregarded my exhaustion and grabbed the Ten-Thousand-Year Cold Jade Bottle, releasing about a hundred drops of "Water of Life" which I sprayed onto the sleeping beasts. This "Water of Life" was indeed quite effective. In a short while, Feng Bo's level eight beast, the Violent Bear, awoke first, followed by the Beast Knights' leader, Shekdo's beloved beast—the Elf Fox. A group of beasts gradually awoke, and seemingly sensing the increase in power, the bears, tigers, leopards, lions… roared, venting their excitement. Then, various lights flashed in the room, and all the beasts attached themselves to their masters. From then on, the Beast Knights were back to normal, ready to deliver a crushing blow to the Hawk Empire's ferocious army.

"It's over, it's over, my mission is complete." With a relaxed expression, I hummed a little tune, leisurely strolling through the palace.

Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned. Before I could even finish resting, a servant rushed in, conveying the Queen's decree: "I had intended to let you rest for a few days because of your merit in obtaining the 'Water of Life,' but the situation at the front is urgent. Therefore, I have no choice but to invite you to discuss the matter of repelling the enemy. Don't delay, don't delay!" Since Queen Aite had given the decree, refusing would be disobeying an imperial

order. After all, I am her son-in-law, and I must give her this much face. "Your Highness, this way please!" The servant respectfully led me through the halls and pavilions, finally arriving at the side hall. The servant was about to step forward to report, but I waved him away, indicating I would go in myself. As soon as I approached the door, I heard the Queen arguing with her ministers, especially the Right Chancellor, Solot.

"My esteemed ministers," Queen Aite inquired, her voice trembling with worry, "Our scouts have recently reported that General Mink of the Hawk Empire, leading an vanguard of 100,000 men, is advancing menacingly towards our Duchy's fortress, Brester. They will soon reach Willow Grove, just ten miles away. Should we attack or defend? Let us share our thoughts!"

"Your Majesty," the Left Prime Minister declared, "we must meet them head-on! The recent frequent troop movements of the Hawk Empire have caused turmoil and widespread panic in the capital. If we remain closed off, the only outcome will be the destruction of our Duchy!"

"Prime Minister, you're exaggerating! Your Majesty, I agree that defense is paramount. The Grand Fortress of the Duchy of Bress is more than capable of withstanding an attack by a legion. A mere 100,000 troops have you cowards terrified. If an army of 400,000 or 500,000 came, you'd probably flee with your families. What patriotism would you have then?" Prime Minister Solot first mocked the Prime Minister, then changed the subject, vehemently criticizing the Prime Minister and his group of high-ranking officials as cowards, as if he were a great hero saving the country from peril.

"Prime Minister, don't make a mountain out of a molehill. I should be saying this to you. No matter what I say, you always contradict me. What are you up to?" The Prime Minister, his face fierce, stared directly at Solot and said coldly.

Ignoring the sharp gaze from the Left Prime Minister, Solot chuckled lightly, "I have no ulterior motives; I'm merely acting in the best interests of the nation!"

"You call this acting in the best interests of the nation? Clearly, you intend to plunge the Duchy into ruin. I noticed your unusual behavior long ago. Could you be a spy sent by the Hawk Empire?" the Left Prime Minister sneered.

"You…you're slandering me! Your Majesty, I beg you to punish the Left Prime Minister! His actions have completely insulted my character and tarnished my image in Your Majesty's eyes. I hope Your Majesty will severely punish him!" Solot was furious and pleaded with Queen Aite to severely punish the Left Prime Minister.

"Uh…" Faced with Solot's accusations, Queen Aite looked around, unable to make a decision.

"Your Majesty, if you don't issue a decree soon, I will act on your behalf," Solot said, a sharp glint in his eyes, his words carrying a hint of threat.

"Uh..." Faced with Solot's blatant threat, Queen Aite was momentarily at a loss for words. After all, he controlled most of the duchy's military power, and a misstep could lead to his rebellion, undoubtedly adding insult to injury for the duchy. Aite had considered stripping him of his military power before, as she had discovered Solot's ambition and constant desire to overthrow the country. Unfortunately, Solot was very shrewd, and Aite hadn't been able to find any fault with him. On the contrary, she was often pressured by him. Now, the old trick was repeating itself, and Aite was truly in a dilemma.

"How dare you!" The Left Prime Minister's beard bristled as he shouted angrily. As a veteran of three reigns, his prestige was arguably the highest in the country. Now, a mere Right Prime Minister dared to overstep his bounds and exercise the sovereignty of another, which greatly angered him.

"Guards..." Just as Queen Aite was helplessly ordering the Left Prime Minister to be taken away, a slight ripple in the air came from behind her. A person dressed like a Nightwalker whispered a few words in her ear, instantly easing her furrowed brows and bringing a joyful smile to her pretty face. After delivering the words, the person disappeared into thin air again.

Seeing the appearance of the Duchy's shadow ninja, Solot seemed to sense that something was amiss. Sure enough, Queen Aite's expression hardened, and she ordered, "Guards, handcuff Solot!"

"Your Majesty, what's going on? Why aren't you handcuffing the Left Prime Minister, but instead you're handcuffing me!" Solot, caught off guard, struggled as several warriors chained him.

"Hmph, should I call you Lord Solot, or Lord Oscar, the Demon Swordsman of the Hawk Empire?" Queen Aite sneered.

Hearing Queen Aite's words, Solot was startled. Queen Aite was indeed astute, figuring out his identity so quickly. However, discovering his identity now was far too late. Therefore, he couldn't help but sneer, "Truly a ruler of a nation, only now realizing my identity. A truly 'enlightened' monarch!"

"You… Austin, you dare to argue even when you're about to die!" Queen Aite screamed in fury.

"Has Your Majesty forgotten my identity? I am Austin, the most famous magic swordsman of the Hawk Empire!" Austin said, enunciating each word clearly. Then, a longsword gleaming with fiery red appeared out of thin air before him. Before the warriors could react, the sword, radiating red light, slashed at the chains held by the warriors. "Clang, clang, clang!" The chains attached to Austin were sliced through like tofu by the sharp sword, leaving a group of warriors dumbfounded, holding the severed chains.

Austin shook off the chains binding him, tore off the human skin mask covering his face, revealing a sinister and handsome face. He said in a chilling voice, "Wearing this human skin mask, I'm already tired of it. If I don't kill you, woman, today, I'm not Austin!" With that, he gripped the "Roar of Vulcan" that was hovering in the air and accelerated towards the stunned Queen Aite.

"Protect Her Majesty! Protect Her Majesty..." The Left Prime Minister, who had regained his senses, saw Austin attacking Her Majesty and hurriedly shouted.

At his shout, the warriors immediately snapped to attention. Three warriors reacted quickly, brandishing their chains and transforming them into bolts of lightning, striking Austin from behind. While the three warriors transformed into three bolts of lightning, the other warriors summoned their beloved swords, leaped into the air, and their swords, carrying them in a streak of light, shot towards Austin.

Feeling the annoying buzzing of "flies" behind him, Oscar was thoroughly annoyed. He turned around and wielded his "Roar of the Vulcan," the rapidly swirling longsword transforming into streaks of fiery red sword energy that formed a funnel, narrow at the front and wide at the back. As the warriors attacked him, the funnel suddenly widened, meeting the onrushing warriors head-on. There was no expected clanging sound of clashing weapons; instead, the warriors engulfed in the funnel felt enveloped in a fiery red aura, the intense heat threatening to burn them alive. This torment was excruciating. When they remembered they still had a sword at their disposal, they raised it, only to be horrified to see it melting from the tip, quickly turning into a pool of molten iron. Then the melting happened to their bodies. First, the hand holding the sword began to slowly melt away, then their legs, and then their torsos. They struggled in horror, but everything went black, and time and space returned to calm.

The onlookers, however, had no such experience. They only saw the fiery funnel envelop their bodies and then disappear. The warriors who had attacked Osker suddenly froze in mid-air. The gleaming sword and several chains instantly turned into pools of molten iron and fell to the ground. A gentle breeze blew by, and the warriors' bodies turned into a layer of ashes, which were carried away by the breeze and merged into the air.

With a mocking look, Oscar gazed at the group of ministers trembling in the corner and said, "No wonder the Fire Dance Duchy, despite guarding its small territory, is invaded by other countries. With these cowardly ministers, thinking they can stop our invasion is simply a pipe dream. Once I take this woman's head, this country will be leaderless and collapse without a fight. I will have completed my mission, hahaha..."

"Help...help! Seize him!" Queen Aite cried out, trembling. When she saw the numerous warriors inexplicably dissipate into molecules into the air, the fear gripped her, making her feel as if her life was in grave danger.

"Hahaha...you old hag, no one will care about you now, prepare to die!" A flame erupted from the "Roar of Vulcan" in Austin's hand, a sharp beam of fire shooting towards Queen Aite's chest. If struck, Queen Aite might suffer the same fate as the warriors. However, just as the sword was about to pierce her chest, a whooshing sound struck the blade, the sharp force deflecting its aim, and Queen Aite narrowly escaped.

"What...what's that sneaking around like that? Show yourself!" Austin exclaimed in surprise, withdrawing the "Roar of Vulcan" and holding it in front of him.

"What do you mean by sneaky? I'm no match for you!" I sneered as I strode in from outside the hall.

Seeing it was me, Oscar was startled. He dared not be careless towards this legendary Saint Seiya; no one wanted to lose their head so easily. So, he forced a smile and said, "Oh, who is it? It's Your Highness!"

"Looks like I've come at the wrong time, but please continue, please continue..." I said with a smile.

Continue my foot! Everyone knows you're Queen Aite's son-in-law! Daring to kill your mother-in-law in front of you is like wielding a tiger's whiskers—looking for trouble! Thinking this, Oscar feigned respect and asked, "What business does Your Highness have with me?"

"Oh, how did you know I wanted to see you? You're truly a genius! No wonder you've been able to infiltrate the Fire Dance Kingdom for so long. You knew I had something to ask you as soon as I arrived. You truly deserve to be the chief magic swordsman of the Hawk Empire!" I said, half-praising, half-criticizing.

"I didn't expect Your Highness to be so sharp-tongued! I, Auster, am utterly defeated!" Auster retorted.

"Compared to Your Highness, I'm far inferior! Enough with the nonsense, I just want to ask you one thing!"

"I never thought even a Saint Seiya would have a day when he needs to ask for help!" Auster said self-deprecatingly.

"The Hawk Empire sent people to attack me on the Wild Wolf Plains, you were the one who leaked that information, weren't you?" I said coldly.

"Heh, so what if I did? We're on different paths, we can't work together. We each serve our own masters, so let's not talk about leaking information!" Auster chuckled and said.

"Indeed, as a spy for the Hawk Empire, how could I, as a prince, not bring you to justice!" I narrowed my eyes, the corners of my mouth slightly turned up, and smiled.

"If I had known you would say that, I would have unleashed whatever ruthless tricks I had up my sleeve!" Auster shouted fiercely.

"As a guest, I'll let you have your way first!" I stood there quietly, my body slightly bowed, my left hand gesturing outwards, striking a gentlemanly pose, and said.

"Your Highness's kindness is too much to refuse!" The instant Austin spoke, the "Roar of the Vulcan" in his hand transformed into a streak of red light, slashing towards the back of my neck.

Knowing he would do this, I didn't dodge, letting the red light graz my neck. The scene of blood splattering and a head rolling on the ground didn't occur, because Austin knew that killing me, the legendary Saint, with just one strike would be far too easy. He immediately sheathed his sword, closely watching his surroundings. Because when his sword grazed my neck, my figure, touched by the sword light, suddenly vanished, leaving only the empty hall, the trembling ministers hiding in the corner, and the seemingly strong Queen Ete.
