[Fantasy] Gods and Demons Among Flowers (Complete) - 16

Chapter 77 of the Chronicles

of the Mystic Beast Forest: The trees in the Mystic Beast Forest grew tall and lush, so dense that sunlight couldn't penetrate them. Walking through it was impossible for those with poor eyesight. The air was thick with the smell of decay, and each step made a crunching sound. It seemed the ground was covered with a thick layer of fallen leaves, as I sometimes accidentally stepped into the mushy, leaf-strewn ground. Luckily, I had prepared by wearing tall boots.

According to the map, only after passing through this mystical forest could I officially enter the outer edge of the Mystic Beast Forest. However, looking at this dark and endless place, I couldn't help but wonder when I would ever escape. Suddenly, I heard sparse footsteps behind me. They walked when I walked, stopped when I stopped, and then I saw a figure behind me. Thinking it was some wild beast in the forest playing a trick on me, I walked on, then stealthily leaped up, and before the footsteps could react, a sharp sword was already in my hand, ready to strike.

Just as the blade was about to slice into the monster's neck, it suddenly spoke, "Young Master, it's me!" Her words immediately made my sword pause, and the faint glint of cold light on the blade finally revealed the newcomer's face. A pretty face, both reproachful and delighted, revealed it to be my newly subdued underworld princess—Kalis.

"Kalis, what are you doing here? Didn't I tell you it's dangerous here? Go back now!" I removed the sword from her neck, somewhat annoyed.

"I was just curious. How did I know this place was so mysterious?" Kalis stuck out her tongue, made a face, and laughed.

"Don't you know curiosity is the easiest way to get hurt? Go back now!" I said irritably.

"No, I'm already here, I just want to see the mysteries of this Beast Forest!" Kelly said gently.

"Hmm, can you be a little more sensible? This isn't a place for fun. No wonder your older brother says you're like a little girl who hasn't grown up, always doing things based on your own interests!" I sighed inwardly.

"Do I look like a little girl who hasn't grown up? I remember the other day you said that my thing was so big!" Kelly blushed and muttered softly, lowering her head. If it weren't for the extremely dim light in the forest, I would have seen Kelly's blushing face and her charmingly biting teeth, enough to captivate a large number of people.

"Uh..." Caught off guard by her slip of the tongue, I was immediately speechless with embarrassment.

At this moment, a shrill scream came from the darkness, startling Kelly, who screamed and threw herself into my arms.

"What was that screaming thing? It scared me to death," Kelly murmured, nestled in my arms.

"That's just a night owl, nothing to be afraid of!" I patted her shoulder, comforting her.

"If I'm scared, don't chase me away!" As she spoke, her slender arms wrapped around my waist, hugging me tightly as if afraid I'd run away.

I would never believe that the little princess of the Underworld would be afraid of the hooting of a night owl. But thinking that even if I coaxed her away, she would still sneak back, I decided to indulge her this once. Feeling the two soft mounds against my chest, my heart fluttered, and I almost couldn't help myself. I couldn't help but smile wryly and say, "I promise you, but could you please not hug me like that?"

"Hmm, this position is really not good, let's change it." Kelly hooked her arms around my neck, rested her head on my shoulder, and nestled her whole body against my chest, laughing.

Are women in the Underworld really this open? This is indeed something I can't fathom! It's just a pity that this girl is now sleeping soundly on me, leaving me both amused and exasperated. The road must go on, the water of life is a must, but I can't abandon this koala on my back. Bearing the weight of two on my own two feet, I hacked my way forward, watching the koala nearly fall off because of my violent shaking. I had to free my hand to support her shapely bottom, preventing her from slipping off my body.

Touching her bottom, the smoothness and fullness through the thin veil made me marvel at her beauty. My other hand unconsciously wandered over her bottom, gently caressing it, as if cherishing something. Feeling her heavy breathing against her neck, I knew she must have been pretending to sleep. Now, being secretly groped, she couldn't say a word, only blushing and panting. After teasing the little girl, I focused entirely on scouting the path. After all this commotion, we had covered about half the distance of this enchanted forest.

As I walked, thinking I'd soon escaped the enchanted forest, I suddenly sensed something was wrong. The crooked tree I'd seen earlier now appeared again, both identically crooked and equally lush. I'd also noticed a fist-sized hole in the crooked tree earlier, and now, looking up, I saw another one. Was this just a coincidence? No two trees are ever the same, even the leaves on the same tree are quite different. This could only mean we were lost. I tried walking the same path again, and looking up, it was the same tree again. It seemed we really were lost.

Well, whatever. Paths are made by people walking on them. There were no paths to begin with, but as more people walked, they became paths. To avoid repeating the same mistake, I deliberately left a trace with my energy blade where I'd walked. However, we didn't notice that after we'd walked a distance, a pool of green liquid flowed from the cut, and the tree that had been cut actually came back to life. After walking for most of the time, just as I was relieved that I hadn't gotten lost again, I suddenly froze. It was that crooked tree again! Where were all the marks I had made? I searched carefully, but found nothing. Each tree had a layer of bark covering the marks, and the bark looked fresh, as if it had just grown. Wait a minute, fresh bark... I touched the marks on other trees; the bark was just as fresh. Suddenly, I had a plan.

"Penetrating all evil, restoring your true nature, the light of purification!" Suddenly, tiny wisps of holy light scattered through the dark forest, drifting and scattering, landing sparsely on the leaves and trunks. After this "light snow," we realized that those trees were no longer just bitter trees; they were alive, they were all phantom tree beasts. In the very center of the tree trunk, two long, moss-covered eyebrows and a pair of pale green eyes shone with a gentle light. A large mouth opened and closed, seemingly muttering something. The tree branches reaching for the sky trembled slightly; without careful observation, it was indeed difficult to spot.

I felt no hostility towards this phantom tree beast. After all, we were intruders, we had trespassed into their habitat, and it was best not to disturb them. However, things rarely go as planned. A long whip flew out, shattering this harmony. The whip lashed towards my body, and the whistling wind would likely tear my flesh apart. Just as the whip was about to strike, a flash of cold light appeared in my hand, and the whip, spraying green liquid, snapped in two. Although I had severed this attacking whip, I knew that many more whips awaited us in this dangerous forest. Sure enough, vines sprouted from the air, the ground, and the gaps in the leaves, shooting towards us all at once. The forest was filled with these waving vines, and no matter how hard I slashed, I couldn't cut them all down. Kelly, who had been sleeping and clinging to me, also woke up and helped me fend off the monsters' attacks.

"Yun, what kind of monster is this? I cut off one tentacle, and so many more sprouted!" Kelly exclaimed.

"These are whip beasts unique to this Enchanted Forest, close relatives of the Illusion Tree Beast. The Illusion Tree Beast prefers peace, while the whip beast prefers slaughter. That's what the person who delivered the map told me!" I answered her as I slashed.

As I slashed, I vaguely recalled the scenes of slaying the vine beasts in the Magic and Martial Arts Tournament. Everything was so similar. The same fierceness, the same unpredictability—suddenly, I remembered the time I cleverly defeated the wooden vine beast. A flash of inspiration struck me, and I called out to Kelly, who was leaning against me, "Kelly, hold your breath, close your pores, and give it a try!"

Hearing my suggestion, Kelly immediately did as I said. Sure enough, the vine whip lashed out and then retracted. Watching the whip quietly retreat, Kelly and I breathed a sigh of relief. Suddenly, just as we relaxed, more vine whips flew out of the forest and wrapped us up, quickly turning us into big dumplings.

"Damn it, this trick is useless against whip beasts!" But I couldn't afford to be discouraged. A platinum-gold light emanated from my body, instantly causing the vine whips to hiss and retract. Landing steadily on the ground, I looked up and saw Kelly bound hand and foot by the vine whips, each limb pulled by a whip. The occasional cold sweat on her face seemed to tell me she was enduring immense pain.

Silly girl, couldn't you have formed an energy shield around yourself? I shook my head inwardly.

As Kelly, enduring the excruciating pain of being torn apart, saw me standing there calmly shaking my head, she couldn't help but yell, "Xie Yun, you damned bastard, why aren't you saving me?!"

I had no choice but to helplessly extend a finger, shooting out several sword energies to lower her. Unfortunately, the girl seemed to have no strength left from being bound by the whip, screaming as she fell to the ground. Luckily, I reacted quickly, catching her in my arms and preventing her from making intimate contact with the ground. However, instead of being grateful, the girl complained, "You scared me to death! Why didn't you save me when I was untied?!"

I was speechless.

I secretly checked the girl's aura; her internal energy was chaotic. She possessed great cultivation but didn't know how to use it—a typical case of yin-yang imbalance. Her cultivation level had reached a certain height, but her realm remained at the level of a Dark Underworld General. It seemed the Underworld Emperor had put a lot of effort into her.

The whip beast's attacks hadn't stopped; another wave of attacks came. I immediately transformed myself into a sword, unleashing bursts of sword energy that shattered the attacking vines. Seeing the girl struggling to parry the attacks with brute force, I shouted, "Kalis, use your Dark Netherfire!"

Fire and wood seemed to be natural enemies. Upon hearing my suggestion, a black flame erupted from Kalis's body. The vines, upon touching the Netherfire, seemed terrified, hissing and retracting their tentacles. Some vines, unable to retract in time, were instantly incinerated. In

that instant, as if nothing had happened in the forest, the vines vanished without a trace. If it weren't for the broken whips scattered on the ground, no one would have guessed we had just fought a fierce battle. After dealing with the whip beasts in the Enchanted Forest, leaving the forest became much easier.

As we finally stepped out of the enchanting forest, we were immediately captivated by the breathtaking scenery before us. Even Kelly, like a child, exclaimed, "So beautiful!" (The following text appears to be unrelated and possibly spam: "Still relying on your hands? How can that be satisfying? Forum reputation guaranteed! Really, it is indeed beautiful!") The first thing we saw upon exiting the forest was a lush green meadow. The endless green grass, and the small animals running on it, was truly refreshing. Taking a deep breath, the freshness of the green grass permeated our hearts, mixed with a hint of floral fragrance. I looked up and saw, not far from us, adjacent to the meadow, a sea of flowers. A riot of colors bloomed here, red, yellow, white, purple—all kinds of flowers vying for attention, opening their most beautiful smiles to welcome newcomers. Butterflies fluttered among the flowers, bees gathered nectar, and birds circled and chased each other. A delicate fragrance wafted through the air, and every now and then, a tiny, adorable white rabbit would peek out from the blossoms, making the beautiful young woman, Kelly, so happy that she wanted to hold it in her arms. Unfortunately, the rabbit was afraid of strangers and disappeared into the flowers before she could get close.

Strolling through this sea of flowers, a slightly damp breeze blew against my face, carrying the fragrance of a hundred flowers to my nostrils. The further I walked towards the end of the flower field, the more humid and stronger the wind felt, but it also made the flowers appear more vibrant and fresh. A rumbling sound came from not far away, making us quicken our pace and walk towards the source of the sound. A strong gust of damp wind immediately soaked us from head to toe, and Kelly's exquisite figure was fully revealed. Unfortunately, I, who always had the desire and the courage, did not look at her exposed spring scenery, but was simply awestruck by the magnificent sight of nature.

A colossal waterfall came into view, many times larger than the one I had seen at the academy. The surging river cascaded down, creating layers of mist. The water roared forth, crashing against a precarious rock in mid-air, sending up sprays of water. The river was enraged; how dare a small rock defy its invincible flow! The water gathered all its strength and struck the rock again. "Bang! Bang! Bang!" The water gave up. No matter how it struck, the rock remained unyielding, indifferent to the water's attacks, calmly accepting everything.

The river, like a wild horse unleashed, leaped into the air with a roar before plunging into the deep pool, creating countless splashes and layers of mist that spread across its surface. The boundless breath of nature, carried by a slightly salty river breeze, rushed towards us. The water, swirling in the wind, released its passion, repeatedly saturating the flowers and grasses, making them vibrant and dazzling. Where the rushing river plunged, a naturally formed pool absorbed its force. The water softened in that pool, and the clear streams converged, flowing outwards in all directions. Beside the pool grew lush forests. In the distance, I could see birds or animals occasionally emerging from the forest to frolic and drink at the pool's edge—everything seemed so beautiful, so harmonious. I was captivated by this beauty, unable to tear myself away. I opened my arms, welcoming the damp wind that rushed towards me, to feel the eternal mystery of nature.

Chapter Seventy-Eight: The Golden and Silver Thunder Python (Part 1)

Whenever I was immersed in an indescribable beauty, a discordant voice would always interrupt it, only this time the owner of the voice had changed.

"Wow, so beautiful! Wow, such cool stream water! I've decided to take a nice bath here, but you're not allowed to peek!" Kelly broke the harmony, her charming words carrying a hint of threat.

"Really, why bring up bathing all of a sudden!" I muttered. Glancing over, I realized that the mist had already soaked her delicate body. The layers of thin gauze clung tightly to her skin, highlighting her exquisite curves. Her full breasts tore through the layers of gauze, and the two rosy peaks added a touch of enchanting spring to the scene.

"I've been walking in the woods all day, I'm all dirty, of course I need to wash! Ugh... ah... where are you looking!" Kelly complained. When she noticed my eyes fixed on a certain part of her body, she instinctively looked down, gasped, covered her ample bosom, blushed, and said angrily,

"..."

"You're still looking? I'll gouge your eyes out!" Kelly threatened, feigning a fierce look.

"Uh..." Helpless, I could only angrily look away, pretending to admire the scenery.

"Remember, no peeking, or I won't let you off the hook when we get back!" Kelly's threatening voice came from the woods by the pool not far away. Fine, I wo

n't look. What's so strange about that? I don't want another tigress in the house! I snorted and turned to walk away.

After running into the forest, Kelly removed her annoying, clinging clothes and walked naked towards the pool. She tested the water with her feet, a blissful smile spreading across her face, before gently leaping into the pool. The clear, cool water flowed over her body, expelling the fatigue and heat of her journey. The comfortable feeling made her groan softly, and she scooped up the clear water with her hands, splashing it over herself. She rested her head gently on a rock by the pool, enjoying this rare moment of cool comfort. At that moment, she was completely unaware that the animals that had been drinking and playing by the pool had vanished in panic into the forest. A dark shadow swam across the clear bottom of the pool; its long body suggested the enormous size of this unknown creature. When the dark shadow spotted a white prey at the edge of the pool, it twisted its body and swam towards where Kelly was lying. With the massive creature's attack, the pool's surface surged, a sound that, of course, couldn't escape the keen senses of Kelly. Seeing the dark shadow rushing towards her and the currents stirring beneath the surface, the quick-witted Kelly immediately leaped out of the water and ran towards the pool's edge.

In her run, she forgot she was still naked; fear of the unfamiliar is always a woman's strength, and at this moment, her man was her best support. She ran and cried out, "Xie Yun, help! Something is attacking me!"

"Hmm, what is it? Let me see!" I, who had been admiring the scenery in the distance, heard her cries for help and teleported to her side. Before I could even see what it was, a fragrant breeze carrying a hint of moisture wafted into my arms. Kelly, being a girl after all, was overcome with fear of the unknown and forgot her own identity, involuntarily thinking of me. When I actually appeared before her, she forgot all about shyness and trembled in my arms.

"It's alright, the monster didn't chase after us!" I comforted her. I patted her shoulder lightly with my left hand, but to my surprise, the spot I touched was slippery. I looked down and almost drooled. This little girl hadn't been wearing any clothes while running. Her slightly pale face, her long, shiny black hair still glistening with water droplets, her breasts pressed tightly against my chest, and I could see her deep cleavage, her shapely buttocks, and her long, slender, fair legs. Ah, so beautiful. Unconsciously, two streams of blood flowed from my nose, and my lower body reacted, pressing hard against her abdomen.

Under my gaze, a blush gradually crept onto Kelly's snow-white skin. When a hot object pressed against her abdomen, she let out a soft moan and couldn't help but push me away, disappearing from my sight in a flash. When she reappeared, she was dressed in a pink dress. When she saw two streams of blood flowing from my nostrils, she couldn't help but ask in a coquettish voice, "Yun, what's wrong? Why are you suddenly bleeding from your nose?" Her concerned expression only made my nose bleed even more profusely.

It's all because you seduced me! Of course, I dared not say that. I awkwardly wiped away the blood and chuckled dryly, "N-nothing... I often get nosebleeds for no reason!"

"Oh, is that so?"

At this moment, the previously rippling surface of the pool became turbulent, but despite the turbulence, the water still flowed in a very regular pattern. A small whirlpool suddenly formed, breaking the calm of the pool. The small whirlpool spun rapidly, and as the water flow accelerated, it expanded significantly, eventually covering the entire surface of the pool. Then, a hissing sound emanated from the whirlpool's opening. From its center rose a colossal creature. It was over ten zhang long, with a body as thick as a water bucket, a flat snake head, and a scarlet forked tongue protruding from its mouth. Strangely, a single, gold and silver horn grew from its forehead. The horn was conical, its tip slightly curved forward. A ring of gold and silver lines extended from the horn, running parallel along the snake's back, all the way to its tail. About a third of the way down its back, a pair of wings, less than half a meter long, gently flapped. The transparent membranes were covered with crisscrossing energy veins, and one could faintly see the rapidly flowing energy within these veins as the wings flapped.

"Golden and Silver Thunder Dragon Python? A level nine phantom beast? I never expected to see such a rare species in this Phantom Beast Forest. This trip was truly worthwhile!" I exclaimed in surprise.

"A level nine phantom beast, the Golden and Silver Thunder Dragon Python? What is that?" Kelly asked, puzzled, upon hearing my muttering.

"Legend has it that the Golden and Silver Thunder Dragon Python is a hybrid created from the mating of a thunder dragon from the sky and a level nine phantom beast, the Silver Winged Python. It inherits half the bloodline of both the thunder dragon and the silver winged python, making it even stronger than ordinary level nine phantom beasts. I've heard it excels at thunder magic, but its other abilities are unknown," I explained confidently.

"A thunder dragon? What kind of dragon is that?" Kelly, driven by her curiosity, couldn't help but ask again.

"The thunder dragon is said to be a descendant of the Golden Sacred Dragon, possessing incredible power. Overturning rivers and seas, swallowing clouds and spitting mist, are just commonplace for it!"

"Ah, so powerful?!" Kelly exclaimed in surprise. Although she hadn't heard of the power of the Golden Sacred Dragon, she had witnessed the might of her father's Nether Dragon King. Even that Nether Dragon King, which had once been unable to defeat a rebellious Golden Sacred Dragon, had been defeated only by other powerful figures.

At this moment, the Golden-Silver Thunder Python had broken free of the water and soared into the sky. With a flick of its tail, it spewed a ball of blue light from its mouth, hurtling towards us.

"Be careful, that's a lightning ball!" I warned her from the side.

"A lightning ball is nothing special, behold my Nether Lightning!" As if to show off her power, Kelly rapidly gathered black energy in her left hand. As she swung her fist, the condensed Nether Lightning met the lightning ball head-on. Both belonged to the electric element, but compared to the lightning ball, the Nether Lightning that Kelly unleashed was utterly ineffective. When the Nether Lightning struck the lightning ball, the ball actually melted it away, and even grew slightly larger before shooting towards Kelly with lightning speed.

"Oh no, I'm doomed!" Kelly, who hadn't expected this outcome, couldn't help but cry out as the lightning ball hurtled towards her face.

Just as Kelly closed her eyes and awaited her death, a golden shield enveloped her. The lightning ball, upon striking it, was deflected and struck a giant tree in the nearby jungle. With a deafening "boom," the tree, about a hundred meters tall, was blasted to pieces. At the base of the tree, there was a deep hole with a diameter of ten meters. Kelly, protected within the "Golden Primal Shield," stared in disbelief at all this, unable to believe that it was all caused by a lightning ball about half a meter in diameter spewed from the mouth of the Golden-Silver Thunder Dragon Python.

Although I had already imagined the extraordinary power of these lightning balls, I was still astonished when I actually witnessed their power. It seems the descendants of the Thunder Dragon are indeed extraordinary.

The Golden-Silver Thunder Dragon Python, seeing its proud attack easily neutralized by a golden protective shield, flew into a rage, spitting out lightning balls one after another, raining down upon us. One was already enough for us to handle, but with so many added, it was practically a death sentence. Seeing the lightning balls swarming towards us, and Kailis remaining unmoved, I quickly pulled her into my protective circle. However, my "Golden Chaos Shield" could only hold out for a while, not forever. Seeing the lightning balls relentlessly colliding with the "Golden Chaos Shield," I panicked. A black dragon-shaped mark gradually appeared on my forehead, and then, with a flick of my left hand, a miniature flying dragon appeared before me without my summons. This miniature dragon is the one that popped out of the crystal core after I defeated Amendo that day. The little dragon seemed very excited when it appeared in front of us, flapping its little fleshy wings and shouting, "Daddy...eat...Daddy...eat...!" Then, to my astonishment, it darted straight out of the incredibly sturdy "Golden Chaos Shield," opened its huge mouth wide at the lightning ball that was rushing towards it, and swallowed the lightning ball whole.

After swallowing the lightning ball, the little dragon seemed unsatisfied. It licked its lips with its tongue, drooling, and exclaimed, "Good...good...delicious! I want more!" Before it finished speaking, it flew towards another lightning ball, snatched it up, and it disappeared into its belly. After swallowing the second lightning ball, the little dragon seemed to change slightly. Two small bumps appeared on its forehead, its body grew a little taller, and its wings thickened.

Two lightning balls still didn't seem to satisfy its appetite. It rapidly flapped its wings, chasing after the lightning balls in the air, swallowing them one by one. Its belly seemed bottomless; in the end, there were no more lightning balls around us, because they had all gone into the little dragon's mouth. Our hero, flapping his fleshy wings and exhaling dragon breath, excitedly somersaulted in the air. In his excitement, he couldn't help but hiss softly, his imposing aura seemingly startling the golden-silver thunder dragon python hovering in the air. Startled, it spat out a ball of lightning that struck the pool. With a deafening boom, a massive column of water rose from the pool, reaching over ten meters before receding. The lightning ball, imbued with thunderous energy, instantly stunned the fish and shrimp in the pool, causing the small fish to float belly-up on the surface.

When the golden-silver thunder dragon python finally realized that the source of the sound was the small, winged dragon before it, it felt its authority had been threatened. It turned its head, glaring angrily at the tiny creature it considered insignificant. Under such scrutiny, the little dragon remained fearless, even licking its front paws without a care. Its leisurely attitude infuriated the Golden-Silver Thunder Python, which opened its blood-red maw and spewed air at the little dragon. Just when we thought the little dragon would bravely confront the Golden-Silver Thunder Python, it made an unexpected move: stretching out its paws and flicking its tail, it actually darted back into the "Golden Chaos Shield," hiding behind me.

"Daddy, I'm scared...I'm scared..." the little dragon cried, clinging to my shoulders with its two front paws.

"I never thought you were such a cowardly dragon!" I lightly tapped its head and said with a wry smile.

Chapter 79 of the Storm Riders series (Part 2):

Seeing the little flying dragon slip into the protective shield, the Golden and Silver Thunder Dragon Python missed its bite and, unable to stop its momentum, immediately crashed into the "Golden Primordial Shield." With a "bang," the "Golden Primordial Shield" instantly shattered, and the Golden and Silver Thunder Dragon Python was also bounced back just as the "Golden Primordial Shield" was about to break. It tumbled several times in mid-air before stabilizing its position.

The Golden and Silver Thunder Dragon Python seemed to have suffered a great humiliation from such a counterattack. It spat out balls of lightning from its mouth, but unlike before, these lightning balls did not rush towards us. Instead, they rotated in a circular trajectory directly in front of it, and at the very center of that circle was a lightning ball slightly larger than the others, rotating on its own axis. After spitting out the nineteen lightning balls, the Golden and Silver Thunder Dragon Python roared to the sky, its majestic aura surging. The nineteen spinning lightning balls flew rapidly towards us, and to our astonishment, they suddenly stopped in mid-air directly above us. Then, the nineteen lightning balls did something else that surprised us: the one in the very center began to rotate from left to right, while the other eighteen rotating around it did so in the opposite direction.

Seeing the spinning, shimmering blue lightning balls above, Kelly's eyes sparkled, and she uttered a devastating statement: "So cute~!"

Cute? Can't you feel the energy contained within those nineteen lightning balls? I thought with a wry smile.

At the same time, the eighteen lightning balls began to spin rapidly at a speed invisible to ordinary people, and then a sky-blue dome with a diameter of two meters descended from the sky, enveloping us within it. Kelly looked curiously at the sky-blue transparent shield, reaching out her slender hand to touch it. Seeing this, I was immediately alarmed and grabbed her.

"Are you crazy? Touching that energy shield like that? Do you want to die?" I scolded.

"I'm just curious! The energy shield hasn't done anything to us, so I wanted to take a look!" Kelly pouted, looking aggrieved.

"You want to see, don't you? I'll show you!" I picked up a small pebble from the ground and threw it at the energy shield. Just as the pebble was about to touch the shield, a flash of blue light appeared, and a blue lightning bolt, about the thickness of a little finger, shot out from the shield, striking the pebble and shattering it into pieces.

"Now you know curiosity kills!" I dusted off my hands, seeing Kelly's visibly trembling body, and said coldly.

"So...so scary!" Kelly no longer found the sky-blue energy shield beautiful, because beneath this beautiful thing lay potential danger.

As we were talking, none of us noticed that each of the eighteen rotating lightning balls extended a blue electric thread, connecting to the central lightning ball. Then, the lightning ball suddenly swelled, and a bolt of lightning as thick as a child's arm shot down, striking towards where we were standing. Because none of us had noticed the change above, we were completely unaware when the lightning struck. However, the little dragon perched on my shoulder noticed and excitedly stretched its neck, opened its mouth wide, and flapped its fleshy wings to meet it. This seemingly insignificant lightning bolt was different from the lightning balls it had swallowed earlier; it actually shocked the little dragon, causing it to cry out and plummet downwards. Fortunately, I noticed it in time and caught it in my hand. However, it also benefited from this misfortune, as its pair of dragon horns were now faintly visible.

"Daddy, Daddy, that thing bit me!" the little dragon scratched its head, stretched out its short forelimbs, and pointed upwards.

I looked up and saw another wave of lightning striking us. If I were hit, I'd be badly injured, if not killed. I quickly grabbed Kelly and raised the "Golden Primal Chaos Shield." But the energy shield seemed to sense the threat. It flashed with streaks of blue light, and bolts of lightning shot towards the descending lightning, merging with it. As a result, the lightning bolt, as thick as a child's arm, rapidly grew to the thickness of a thigh and struck the "Golden Primal Chaos Shield." With a "boom," the thigh-thick lightning bolt and the barrier I had just set up vanished simultaneously. My heart, still connected to the barrier, felt like it had been struck by lightning. A sweet taste rose in my throat, and I almost spat out a mouthful of blood. Thankfully, I swallowed it back in time, preventing a complete embarrassment.

I didn't even have time to wipe the blood from my mouth. The lightning ball above my head swelled again, and a bolt of lightning was about to split off. In a flash, I roared, and a golden light flew from my fist, striking the swollen lightning ball. The light rapidly expanded, quickly enveloping the swollen ball. Sensing the impending danger, the lightning ball stopped splitting, its surface crackling with electricity as it resisted the pressure from the light. Unfortunately, this low-level lightning was no match for my divine power unleashed in fury. Slowly, under the compression of the light, the lightning ball was finally dissolved, and my golden light took over. The other eighteen lightning balls continued to supply the blue energy, but this time their target was no longer us, but the unfortunate Golden-Silver Lightning Python.

The sky-blue energy shield was retrieved by the eighteen lightning orbs, and then, under the command of the light orb, flew above the golden and silver lightning python and began to attack its mastermind. The golden light orb, acting as the attacker, did not burst under the energy supply of the eighteen lightning orbs; instead, it simply split off a golden bolt of lightning from its body, striking the python's body. A golden bolt of lightning struck, and the golden-silver thunder dragon python let out a mournful cry. Blood rained down from the sky, and a palm-sized scale was knocked off. This lightning was no longer the same as before; it was divine lightning from the divine realm, far superior to the lightning balls spat out by the golden-silver thunder dragon python. It was no longer a tickle to the python. The golden-silver thunder dragon python flew through the air, desperately trying to dodge the divine lightning bolts. However, the eighteen lightning balls seemed to have a target-locking function. No matter where the golden-silver thunder dragon python hid, the divine lightning always accurately hit its target. As a result, every time it was hit, it would be showered with blood and lose a scale. If this continued, it would eventually be reduced to ashes by the divine lightning.

However, I still couldn't believe that this descendant of the Thunder Dragon would be so incompetent, unable to withstand even the divine lightning of the divine realm. Thunder Dragons, after all, were considered second only to the Golden Sacred Dragon in the divine realm, possessing immense offensive power and having made great contributions to the war between gods and demons. Sure enough, the Golden and Silver Thunder Dragon Python, its dragon nature awakened by the divine lightning, suddenly underwent a transformation. A blue light enveloped it completely, rendering it impervious to the bombardment of divine lightning. And when the blue light faded, the Golden and Silver Thunder Dragon Python reappeared, drastically changed, and moved even closer to the Thunder Dragon. The bizarre snake head had transformed into a majestic dragon head, its two horns gleaming with a brilliant blue light. The golden and silver horn in the center of its forehead remained, and the wings on its back had vanished. Four dragon feet had sprouted from its belly, their powerful, twisted claws possessing the strength to tear through gold and shatter stone. Its body, once about ten zhang long, had grown even larger, reaching fifteen or sixteen zhang in length. Its entire body was covered in dragon scales the size of washbasins, and its tail, freed from the shackles of a snake's tail, swayed gently in the air.

The divine lightning strikes now had no effect on it, though their occasional attacks were a considerable annoyance to the newly evolved creature. Suddenly, a black and white beam of light shot out from its golden and silver horn, striking the golden halo above. With a deafening boom, the two energies merged and exploded violently. Without the restraint of the golden halo, the other eighteen lightning orbs vanished into thin air.

The Thunder Dragon's two whiskers swayed gently in the air. Suddenly, it opened its mouth and said, "Ignorant human, why have you come to this forbidden land of humans!"

"Uh...you can talk?!" Kelly exclaimed in surprise.

The Thunder Dragon opened its dragon eyes and asked suspiciously, "I can sense a strong dark aura emanating from you. Are you a member of the Underworld Clan?"

Hearing the Thunder Dragon reveal her identity in one sentence, Kelly couldn't help but proudly say, "That's right, I am the 108th Dark God of the Underworld, the only daughter of the Underworld Emperor!" Upon hearing the Thunder Dragon's question, Kelly couldn't help but reveal all her secrets.

"Good, good, good! I never thought I would have the honor of meeting the princess of the Underworld Clan today!" the Thunder Dragon laughed wildly. Then, it suddenly spat out a ball of deep blue lightning from its mouth, attacking the smug Kelly.

Meanwhile, Kelly was completely unaware of the approaching danger. But I, standing nearby, had been watching our surroundings intently ever since Thunder Dragon spoke. Seeing the millstone-sized ball of lightning hurtling towards her, I shouted "Watch out!" and then, grabbing the excited Kelly, teleported away. A deafening boom echoed as the earth trembled. Looking back, I saw a mushroom cloud rising from the ground where it had been struck. When the dust settled, a crater a hundred meters in diameter appeared before us; the hundred-meter-wide sea of flowers had been destroyed by a single lightning ball from Thunder Dragon.

"What do you mean? We were talking perfectly fine, why did you suddenly ambush me!" Kelly yelled, her eyebrows furrowed, completely disregarding her ladylike image.

"Hmph, what do you mean by 'ambush'? Your father, Hadas, killed my mother shortly after giving birth to me! This murder of my mother is an irreconcilable hatred between us. Today, you've conveniently delivered yourself to my doorstep, so I'll kill you first to avenge my mother! Go, Black-White-Bombardment-Wave!" the Thunder Dragon roared. A black and a white halo shot out from its golden and silver horns, respectively. Almost simultaneously, the two halos rapidly merged in the air, quickly forming a sphere shaped like an octagonal symbol. The white halo represented Yang rain, and the black halo represented Yin rain; Yin contained Yang, and Yang accumulated Yin, Yin and Yang intersected.

After the octagonal sphere merged, it quickly flew towards us. As it flew, the Yin-Yang rain began to rotate, and a columnar wind circle enveloped Kailis, rendering her immobile and leaving her to await death. Although Kailis possessed great skill, trapped by this powerful wind circle, her limbs were unable to move. Even if she wanted to resist, she was powerless, watching helplessly as the Bagua ball approached. Although Kelly was helpless, it didn't mean I stood idly by. It seemed that after I concealed my strength, Lei Long couldn't see my identity, treating me as a mere human. It was impossible for a human's strongest power to destroy its own ultimate attack. Unfortunately, she misjudged; I am a god, not a human, and that alone was enough to thwart Lei Long's attack.

I teleported into the circle of wind, pulled Kelly to safety, and the Bagua ball, having lost its target, slammed into the ground, leaving only a two-meter-diameter crater. A mere two-meter crater—the power was too weak. Just as we were wondering, the ground trembled, and from the two-meter-wide crater, soil and rocks flew everywhere, and the ground churned so fast that even a giant tree five hundred meters away was blasted away. When we looked closely, we realized that an area a mile in diameter had been blasted into a deep crater, its edges piled high with rubble and dirt. Since we didn't know the range of the "Black and White Bombardment Wave," I and Kelly only teleported halfway, landing right on a protruding rock in the crater. The tremors from the ground forced us to scramble to regain our footing.

"Damn it, the Black and White Bombardment Wave missed! Try again!" The majestic dragon's voice suddenly turned into a child's murmur, and another Bagua ball shot from the golden and silver horns towards us, who were still unsteady on our feet.

Facing the Bagua ball hurtling towards us from above, were we really facing a desperate situation?

Chapter 80 of the Stormy Era: Golden and Silver Thunder Dragon Python (Part 2)

Seeing the rapidly approaching Bagua ball, I couldn't help but sigh, "Hey, here it comes again, it's really persistent!" Without further ado, I leaped into the air, regaining my footing as a wisp of wind brushed past my feet. Then, I drew a line in the air with both hands, and a yin-yang symbol, one black and one white, formed before me. I then switched the position of my hands, and a long-lost sense of familiarity welled up inside me. The "Eight Trigrams Circle" was unleashed from my grasp, meeting the incoming Bagua ball.

With a deafening roar, the two incredibly powerful energies collided, creating a violent explosion. Fortunately, the explosion occurred in the air, but the aftershocks still sent the ground flying more than three feet deep, scattering withered flowers and grass, adding a discordant element to the otherwise beautiful scene. The aftershocks were so powerful that even I was pushed into the ground and buried. However, thanks to my protection, Kelly was completely unharmed, except for a few specks of dust on her beautiful clothes. In the instant the dust rose, she saw a figure shot back and disappear into the earth.

When Kelly saw that I was buried in the mud, she cried out in panic, "Yun, where are you? Answer me!"

"Hmph, little girl, your cries are useless. This day next year will be your death anniversary!" Lei Long sneered.

Just then, not far from where Kelly was standing, a hand reached out from the ground, and then a cloud of mud flew up, and I leaped out of the dirt. As soon as I jumped out, I spat out the mud in my mouth and said to myself with a laugh, "Well, before I just ate mud, now I smell the soil and taste it!"

"Yun, you're not dead! I was so worried about you, waaaah!" Kelly cried and threw herself into my arms.

"You survived such a strong shockwave. You must be quite something!" Lei Long's dragon eyes flashed, and he scoffed.

"Alright, don't cry. Look, I'm perfectly fine." I gently stroked her long, soft hair and said kindly. When I heard Lei Long's words, my eyes turned cold, and I said coldly, "Did I say I was dead?"

"Hahaha, even if you don't die now, you'll still lose your life in my next attack! You can still regret it now. Either disappear from my sight immediately, leaving this little girl behind, or protect her and be her guardian. But no matter what you do, she can't escape the fate of being killed by me!" Lei Long chuckled, speaking disdainfully.

"Hmph, let's see if you have the ability!" I snorted, dismissing Lei Long's words.

"You're courting death!" Even the Thunder Dragon had its moments of anger. A blue beam of light shot out from its golden and silver horns, but it only reached upwards and quickly vanished without a trace. Sensing the Thunder Dragon's strange behavior—it wouldn't emit a useless beam of light for no reason—my aura surged, enveloping me in billowing platinum flames. Even Kelly, whom I was holding in my arms, was pushed aside by my sudden surge of power. I composed myself and scanned my surroundings with my divine sense, but there was no movement. Suddenly, a ripple came from beside me. I opened my eyes and saw Kelly involuntarily retreating. Seeing her terrified expression and her desperate attempts to hit the invisible barrier in front of her, my heart ached for no reason. I touched my chest and asked myself: Had I really fallen for her? Why did my heart pound with anxiety when I saw her in such a pitiful state?

After calming myself down, I tried to sense my surroundings and discovered that Kailis was enveloped in an elongated bubble-like structure. The slender end of the bubble connected to the Thunder Dragon's golden and silver horns. The pale blue, almost colorless, transparent membrane seemed quite different from the blue beam of light the Thunder Dragon had emitted earlier. Was it an illusion? Perhaps. The blue beam of light emitted by the Thunder Dragon was simply to attract my attention, then, once my attention was completely drawn, he would secretly release this "Binding Membrane," thus eliminating the daughter of his mother's killer without anyone noticing. However, he hadn't anticipated my keen senses; I discovered him as he quietly retracted the "Binding Membrane." Unfortunately, I was too late. Under the "Binding Membrane," even the supposedly strongest human power was merely a tickle, unable to damage its foundation.

"Haha, you've fallen for it!" the Thunder Dragon couldn't help but laugh wildly.

"Hmph, don't be so absolute!" I secretly channeled my divine power, simulating a giant pair of scissors to cut at the neck of the spherical membrane.

"Hmph, what do you think you can cut with that? Ah! My Binding Membrane was actually cut by the scissors conjured by this ignorant human! What happened?!" Thunder Dragon looked at Kelly, whom I was holding in my arms, in astonishment.

"Human strength isn't something you can just casually conclude. Never underestimate your opponent, especially those who seem weak!" Although I am a god, I prefer to see myself as a human. All things have a spirit, and humans are the most spiritual animals. Their wisdom even we gods have to admire. Perhaps this is why the gods and demons sent people down to learn military tactics. "Hahaha, I don't care what you say! You must die in my territory! Shadow Illusion Demon Slayer, Entangle!" After saying that, Thunder Dragon's body swayed gently, and suddenly it split apart, with a golden and a silver thunder dragon and a silver-winged python circling around us in mid-air. Immediately afterward, the two bodies bent halfway to form a semicircle, then bit each other head to tail, finally encircling us in a complete circle. Having witnessed the unpredictable behavior of the Thunder Dragon earlier, I constantly scanned my surroundings with my divine sense, focusing primarily on the dragon circle swirling around us in mid-air. From the initial splitting of the Thunder Dragon to its current biting, its presence was undeniable to my senses. Could this golden Thunder Dragon and the Silver Winged Dragon be truly real? Regardless, an oppressive pressure emanated from all around us, immediately triggering a reaction in my body. Platinum battle aura surged forth, mixed with a trace of black—the dark energy released by Kelly. The two merged, working together to resist the pressure from all sides. However, our efforts only slowed the contraction of the invisible circle. And just as this invisible circle contracted, we were startled to find another invisible circle enveloping us. This doubled pressure made it difficult for Kelly and me to hold on, but at least we could still stand. But when the power boost reached three times, Kailis couldn't hold on any longer. Her breathing became labored, her face pale, and the stifling air seemed to transport her back to the dark, sunless days of the underworld. Then, a sweet taste rose in her throat, her chest tightened, and she spat out a mouthful of blood onto me. At that moment, she fainted. Helplessly, I held her in my arms, using my own strength to resist the triple boost. But even I couldn't withstand the prolonged power drain, and the fourth boost left me feeling utterly powerless.

This four-fold boost wasn't a simple one plus one multiplier anymore; it had become a one multiplier of two. So, this four-fold boost was equivalent to eight times the pressure I had felt before. How powerful was this eight times the pressure? It was comparable to the eight-winged angels of the divine realm. Was this the power of the offspring of the Thunder Dragon and the Silver-Winged Python? It was terrifying! Actually, that's not the case. This Golden-Silver Thunder Dragon Python is no ordinary divine creature. Its parents are the Thunder Dragon King and the Silver-Winged Python King, so it's in no way inferior to those powerful thunder dragons. After fighting me, its breakthrough has reached a level that its parents couldn't even dream of. However, being born in this Illusionary Beast Forest, it couldn't bear to destroy the peace and harmony of this forest, so it has always controlled its power. The only technique it can fully utilize is probably this "Shadow Illusion Demon Strike."

Another five-fold boost! This Golden-Silver Thunder Dragon Python really surprises me all the time. I'm a little dazed now, feeling tightness in my chest and shortness of breath. I vaguely see the ancient boulder behind the Divine Demon Palace, my favorite place to sleep in late. I also remember the comfort of lying on that luxurious brocade bed when I first entered the human realm. My eyelids are getting heavier and heavier, but my thoughts keep telling me not to sleep, not to sleep, because if I sleep, I'll never wake up again. My thoughts and actions are fighting each other, and the increasingly heavy fatigue makes me want to let go of everything. However, at that moment, my dormant consciousness suddenly emitted a soft light. Under this pressure, my power awakened without my need to unseal it.

My body also changed; a soft white light enveloped me, repelling the fivefold bonus. Then, my black hair danced in the air within the white light, and a pair of wings with white tips and golden tips quietly unfolded, slowly flapping. The radiant divine aura immediately forced the fivefold bonus back a few centimeters. Immediately afterward, another pair of identical wings slowly unfolded from my back, the outward surging divine aura further pushing back the fivefold bonus. Then came the third pair, the fourth pair, the fifth pair, the sixth pair. By the time the sixth pair of wings opened, the fivefold bonus posed no threat to me whatsoever.

At this moment, even the Golden and Silver Thunder Dragon Python was stunned by my powerful aura. I was just a hair's breadth away from disappearing from this world forever. But unexpectedly, an angelic aura suddenly erupted from me, startling its divine sense. It was astonished to see my transformation from a human into a twelve-winged angel. No wonder such powerful beings existed among humans; I was transformed from an angel from the upper realm. It had heard that twelve-winged angels represented the kings of the divine race, but this angel's twelve wings, while radiating a sacred aura, were golden with white wings, unlike the pure white wings of angels from the upper realm. It had never heard of an angel with such wings. It even sensed that this angel was several times more powerful than the god-king its father had spoken of. Was the Three Realms about to be reshuffled again? Never mind all that. My existence was solely for avenging my mother, and the woman in this angel's arms was its target. It decided to go all in, unleashing a sixth-powerful attack, determined to kill me and Kailis.

Chapter 81 of the Wind and Cloud Chronicles:

The power of the Mind Contract is back! It feels so good! Of course, only half of the incomplete power has been unsealed, but compared to the suppressed energy before, it still feels great. After silently sending Kelly away, I shook my head, waved, and smiled excitedly. At that moment, another ripple appeared in the air. The Golden and Silver Thunder Dragon Python had actually unleashed a sixth-fold attack boost, attempting a desperate attack. Unfortunately, my power was no longer what it used to be. Despite the six-fold boost, before the Thunder Dragon could react, beams of white light emanated from the tips of the twelve wings on my back, shooting towards my hand. Bathed in the white light, a broadsword about two meters long and half a meter wide formed in my hand.

With a roar, the tip of my lightsaber unleashed a hundred-meter-long sword aura, slashing towards the lightning dragon, the avatar of the golden and silver lightning dragon suspended in the air. This indestructible aura cleaved the lightning dragon in two with a piercing scream, while the sword aura continued its trajectory, extending further through the air until it finally struck the forest beside the pool. "Boom! Boom! Boom!" The earth trembled, the pool water churned and surged, and groves of trees were reduced to ashes by the lightsaber's destruction. Wild magical beasts that inhabited those forests screamed and fled in panic, while flocks of birds flew out of the forest and scattered in all directions, as if the place had fallen into a great crisis. When everything was over, the water vapor evaporated, and I realized that my sword strike had actually cleaved a two-thousand-meter-long river. The surging pool water seemed to have found an outlet, using its boundless power to conquer this two-thousand-meter-long area. My sword strike cleaved a forest in two, causing a dramatic change in the species within it over the years—something I, the perpetrator, could never have foreseen.

The thunder dragon I had severed didn't perish; instead, its severed body reconnected in a golden light. However, its golden body was now dull and lifeless, clearly suffering severe internal injuries from my strike. Sensing the thunder dragon's distress, the silver-winged python released its grip and lunged at it. A flash of eerie blue light, and the golden-silver thunder dragon python reappeared before me, now devoid of its former power, its eyes dim, a large wound on its abdomen oozing blood—clearly where my lightsaber had struck.

I had no personal grudge against this golden-silver thunder dragon python; I had only fought it to the death to protect Kelly's life. Seeing its dim and slightly fearful eyes, I suddenly felt a pang of pity and slowly moved closer to it.

"What...what are you doing?" the Golden-Silver Thunder Dragon Python uttered in a childlike voice, its eyes filled with despair as it looked at me.

"So you're still just a child! Why pretend to be mature? Is it just for revenge? Everything has a cause, everything has an effect. Cause and effect, retribution, are predetermined by fate. Why deliberately seek out the outcome?" I smiled slightly and said.

"I'm not reconciled! I'm not reconciled! My mother was killed by her father, and I want her blood to atone for my mother's death!" The Golden-Silver Thunder Dragon Python's body shrank rapidly, finally stopping when it was only about ten meters long—its true form.

"These are all things of the previous generation. Why build such suffering upon yourself? A cycle of revenge, when will it ever end?" I sighed.

"I don't want to forget, I can't forget! I will definitely seek revenge when I am strong enough!" From its childlike voice, I heard the weight of time and confusion. It was small, yet it carried far too many burdens. The road ahead was fraught with peril, filled with crossroads in its life. It hesitated, it wavered, unsure of which path to choose, unsure which one to take.

"Poor child!" I gathered a ball of white light in my hand and placed it on its forehead. It didn't resist, for at that moment it saw me as a wise man, my insightful gaze instilling a sense of trust in me. The white light spread from its forehead to its entire body, then gathered on the wound. The holy light element quickly healed it. The flesh writhed, and under the white light, the wound completely healed, merging with its surroundings, making it impossible to tell that it had ever suffered such severe injury.

"Alright, go!" I removed my hand from its forehead and said with a smile.

It swung its dragon body, dancing in the air. Its childlike nature finally surfaced. It breathed in clouds and mist, it commanded lightning, it thrashed about in the deep pool. When it had swum to its heart's content, it happily flew back to my side. It nuzzled my arm with its dragon head, its eyes pleading, and said, "Big brother, take me away! I don't want to stay in this boring place. I want to soar beyond the nine heavens, I want to become stronger, I want revenge! Big brother, take me away!" Its childlike voice was full of longing, yearning for the outside world.

Faced with its pleas, I couldn't utter a single word of refusal. But how could I contain its enormous body? My dimensional space was large enough to hold its body, but there wasn't enough air for it to breathe. I feared it would suffocate inside before I could even release it.

Seeing the hesitant look on my face, it hurriedly asked cautiously, "Big brother, can I...can I be your summoned beast?"

"How can I? In my eyes, you are equal to me. Although I long for a summoned beast of my own, I don't want to build my happiness on your suffering," I quickly refused.

"Big brother, what is happiness? What is suffering? In my heart, being your summoned beast makes me extremely happy. Your strength and wisdom are unmatched by ordinary people; even the God King of the God Realm pales in comparison. Let me be your summoned beast, okay?" It looked at me with stars in its dragon eyes, full of adoration.

"Strong? I dare not claim that. Wise? Forget about it. Why do you insist on being my summoned beast? Isn't it better to roam freely in this Phantom Beast Forest?" I said with a wry smile.

"Because I believe that following you, big brother, I will gain immense power, and then I can avenge my mother!" it said sincerely.

"Why can't you shake off this resentment?" I sighed helplessly.

"So, big brother, you're letting me be your summoned beast!" it exclaimed excitedly, its big, curious eyes wide.

"Very well." I gently bit my left middle finger, and as a drop of golden blood flowed out, I drew a six-pointed star on its forehead with the blood, softly chanting, "With blood as the medium, with my heart as the conduit, I use my long life force to establish a life-sharing contract with you."

"Big brother, why are you making a heart-to-heart contract with me! I only want to be your summoned beast, a master-servant contract!" it cried out hastily upon hearing the contract I was chanting.

"Didn't I just say that you and I are equal beings? In my eyes, there is no distinction of rank! Heart-to-heart contract, made!" A golden light flashed in my hand, shooting into the six-pointed star pattern.

"Big brother, you—" Before it could react, suddenly, the six-pointed star on its forehead lit up, its golden light radiating outwards. Soon, just as it was about to lose its sight, a massive six-pointed star magic circle in the void, flashing a dazzling white light, enveloped the Golden-Silver Thunder Dragon Python. A thick cocoon of light enveloped it, and I could feel the light elements of heaven and earth constantly pouring into the cocoon. The cocoon, like a bottomless pit, frantically absorbed the light elements, and even I couldn't resist its frenzied pull, being drawn several steps closer. Just as I was about to use my inner energy to resist, the suction suddenly disappeared. Due to the excessive force, I tumbled towards the ground. Luckily, I reacted in time, and just before I was about to hit the earth, my six pairs of wings flapped wildly, finally pulling me back into the air after kicking up a cloud of dust.

After stabilizing myself in the air, I waited quietly, waiting for the cocoon of light to break. At this moment, the cocoon of light cracked open with a series of small fissures, and wisps of golden light shone through. A resounding dragon's roar echoed from within the cocoon, and a golden figure emerged, leaping into the air. The shimmering golden light illuminated the earth, painting it with a golden hue.

A majestic dragon came into view, its body over a hundred meters long, with four short but sharp claws, each foot bearing eight toes. The two thick, forked horns on its enormous head further emphasized its power and majesty. Those imposing dragon eyes, though not angry, were enough to terrify the timid and frightened. The scorching dragon breath spewing from its massive nostrils was enough to kill a mortal a thousand times over. Its sharp teeth gleamed with an alluring light; anyone bitten by it would be torn to shreds. Only the two whiskers fluttering in the wind at the corners of its mouth added to its majestic and powerful appearance. And it was the cone-shaped gold and silver horn on its forehead that gave me a sense of familiarity.

"An eight-clawed golden dragon? You...you're that golden-silver thunder python from before?" I asked tentatively, surprised.

"Big brother, don't you remember me?" A voice, both strange and familiar, came from the huge dragon's mouth. After all this, it seemed to have grown up and matured, but its slightly childish words betrayed its true nature.

"Hehe, you've changed a lot. If I hadn't seen that you were the only one in the six-pointed star magic circle, I wouldn't have recognized you at first!" I scratched my head and laughed.

"Big brother, I'm really grateful for the great power you bestowed upon me. I now feel that my power is enough to rival those legendary golden holy dragons!" It opened its dragon mouth and chuckled.

"Little Jin, you don't mind me calling you that, do you? Your strength is still far inferior to those ancient creatures. At least in terms of combat experience, you can't match them. Pointless battles only lead to pointless sacrifices. Wait until you're strong enough and experienced enough before challenging them. That's the best choice!" Seeing Little Jin's smugness, I quickly scooped up a ladle of water and poured it over him, extinguishing his arrogant flames.

"Oh!" Little Jin replied, looking somewhat dejected.

"Alright, didn't you want to see the sky outside? Big brother has made a mental contract with you. You can now live on my right arm!" I immediately pulled out bait to ease his dejected mood.

"Okay!" Little Jin's body shrank rapidly, transforming into a golden light that imprinted itself on my right arm. Instantly, the unique golden dragon head appeared on my arm.

"Big brother, I heard you exclaim in surprise, 'Eight-clawed Golden Dragon,' what's that?" Clearly, Little Jin didn't understand the changes in himself, only knowing that his power had increased after making the contract with me.

Xiao Jin's voice echoed in my heart. Hearing his question, my expression changed, and I awkwardly replied, "Oh, the Eight-Clawed Golden Dragon is the strongest warrior among the Golden Sacred Dragons. You will reach that power through continuous training!" Actually, there were some things I was still hiding from him. The Eight-Clawed Golden Dragon could be considered the king of the dragon race. The current patriarch of the dragon race was only a five-clawed golden dragon. The Eight-Clawed Golden Dragon perished in the thousand-year war between gods and demons. If I told him the truth, he would definitely turn the entire dragon race upside down.

"Oh, is that so? Then I will become even stronger in the future!" Xiao Jin's excited voice was filled with joy.

"Alright, Xiao Jin, you should rest more in my arms. After all, you have just gained power and do not yet know how to use it. This could easily bring shame to the dragon race!" I said to Xiao Jin.

"Okay," soon, Xiao Jin's consciousness withdrew from my heart and fell asleep in my right arm.

Chapter 82 of the Storm Riders Chronicles: Kelly's "Transformation"

"Have you watched enough?" I folded my wings and stood beside Kelly, who was lying prostrate on the ground, talking to myself.

"Ugh, my head hurts so much, Cloud. What happened? How did such a beautiful place become like this!" Kelly got up from the ground, shook her head, and asked in confusion.

"If you don't want people to know, don't do it in the first place. Does someone want me to erase her memory?" I raised an eyebrow, saying with interest.

"Ah, Cloud, what are you talking about? Are there other people here? Did someone see me naked when I was bathing earlier?" Kelly was startled, but her expression remained unchanged as she uttered strange words.

"No need to hide anymore. Do you really want me to erase your memory?" I bluntly stated the matter, speaking to her with a hidden meaning.

"Cloud, I...I didn't mean to!" Kelly's face turned deathly pale as she stammered.

"What can I say to you? You saw everything you shouldn't have. It's not that I don't trust you, it's just that I'm afraid if you let slip, my identity will be completely exposed!" My left hand was covered in a layer of white light, and I was about to press it against her head.

"Yun, no, no! I promise I won't tell anyone this secret. If I lie, may I die a horrible death under the curse of the Creator God, never to be reincarnated. Waaah, Yun, please let me go!" As she spoke, tears streamed down Kailis's face as she sobbed and pleaded. She knelt on the ground, hugging my legs with both hands, her face pressed against my knees as she sobbed.

"Kailis, how can I believe you!" I wasn't unmoved by her cries, but if my identity were exposed, the consequences would be far beyond what she could bear alone. So, I had no choice but to painfully erase her memories.

"Fine, since you don't believe me, I'll show you!" Kelly's expression hardened. With lightning speed, she grabbed my right hand, bit my middle finger, and after a drop of golden blood flowed out, she smeared it onto her forehead.

"What are you doing? You can't do this!" I saw she was about to form a master-servant contract with me and quickly shook off her hands, shouting to stop her.

But as we argued, the drop of blood on my hand steadily flew towards her forehead. If there were no obstruction, this drop of blood would turn her into my servant. This was not what I wanted. My expression changed. It was too late to stop her now. The only way was to form another contract. Although the Mind Contract was the highest level of contract, it had no effect on her or me; it was only for magical beasts. The master-servant contract was what I wanted to change. There was also a special contract, but once formed, she could never leave me—it was a marriage contract. Countless thoughts raced through my mind, but now the only way was to form a marriage contract with her, because time was of the essence!

"With hearts united, even metal can be broken. With hearts as our spirit and love as our bond, I, along with Kelly, hereby enter into a sacred covenant—the Marriage Covenant!" I chanted softly, and a beam of white light shot from my forehead, arriving just in time to envelop the drop of blood before it merged with hers. Then, a golden heart-shaped pattern appeared on her forehead, disappearing as the light faded.

"Are you finally satisfied?" I sighed helplessly.

"Thank you, husband!" Kelly leaped up from the ground, lightly pecked me on the cheek, and said happily.

"What did you call me?" I asked in surprise.

"I called you husband, of course. I'm your wife now!" Kelly, unlike her previous spoiled self, clutched the hem of her dress and said shyly.

"Ah, it seems her personality has changed since we entered into the Marriage Covenant," I muttered softly.

"Husband, what are you muttering about?" Kelly asked gently.

"Uh, it's nothing, it's nothing!" I thought for a moment and tentatively commanded, "Wife, give me a kiss!"

*Pop* A bright red lipstick mark appeared on my right cheek.

"One more!"

*Pop* A bright red lipstick mark appeared on my left cheek as well, while Kelly looked at me with a tender, affectionate gaze, her shy expression like that of a newlywed wife.

Unfortunately, I didn't notice this, because I was inwardly cheering for my successful experiment. The thought of having such a "virtuous" wife serving me every day almost made me burst with joy, and a sly smile appeared on my face.

"Honey, what are you thinking about?" Just then, my clothes were gently tugged. I turned around and saw Kelly gazing at me with the tenderness of a happy young wife, her deep affection almost melting my heart. I was almost ready to take her right there and then, but then I thought, dangers lurk in this Beast Forest all the time. Who knows, a beast even more powerful than Little Gold might suddenly appear and spoil our fun while we're enjoying ourselves? So I just shook my head and smiled at her, "Oh, it's nothing, let's keep going!"

I took her small hand and walked deeper into the forest, holding her slender hand—smooth, smooth, soft, and tender—that's how I felt about her. Imagining the days to come walking through the forest, with such a beautiful woman at my mercy, the sense of accomplishment in my heart made me burst into laughter, startling the birds in the forest into flight.

"Honey, why did you suddenly laugh? Did you find it?" Kelly asked softly, still in her usual manner.

"Yes, almost there!" I kissed her lips, then suddenly picked her up amidst her exclamation and strode forward.

According to the map, we would reach our destination after crossing this forest. However, the map indicated that this forest was inhabited by many ferocious and bloodthirsty magical beasts, but I hadn't seen a single one yet. Had these magical beasts migrated? Or perhaps they had gone to their magical beast festival? Of course, this was all just my imagination, without any factual basis.

In truth, the fierce and bloodthirsty magical beasts had already spotted us when we entered this jungle. However, the majestic aura of a divine dragon emanating from me unsettled them, making them hesitant to attack us rashly, lest they incur the wrath of the dragon god.

After such a long and arduous journey, a dazzling white light suddenly stung our eyes, which had been strained by the darkness of the forest. After our eyes adjusted, we opened them and were immediately captivated by the idyllic paradise before us. Numerous lakes, large and small, dotted the landscape in the distance. Rays of sunlight shimmered on their surfaces, and a gentle breeze carried a refreshing scent past our ears and into our nostrils. Beside the lakes, patches of lush green grass grew vibrantly, and countless magical beasts lay, stretched, leaped, ran, bounded, and frolicked on the grass, creating a harmonious atmosphere that perfectly suited the place. In the distance, the sky was dotted with tiny black shadows. Various kinds of birds and magical beasts soared through the air, swooping down, soaring upwards, flapping their wings, or dancing slowly. Some cried out in the sky, and occasionally two birds would playfully fight, dropping a few feathers that swayed gently in the breeze. This would then provoke the small magical beasts on the grass to leap up and nudge the feathers, tossing them around like balls. Unfortunately, the feathers were too light and easily stuck to their bodies. So, once a feather stuck to a small magical beast, it would frantically shake its head and tail, kicking and struggling to get rid of it. Once the feather was freed, another round of fighting would begin. Meanwhile, in the numerous lakes scattered across the landscape, small fish would occasionally leap out of the water, breathing in the freshest air, while predators would also ambush them. As a small fish leaped joyfully out of the water, a sharp claw suddenly pierced its belly. The fish struggled desperately, a trickle of blood seeping from the wound and flowing down its body. With the claw's contraction and retraction, a delicious fish was finally delivered into the predator's mouth. The predators soaring through the air also had their unique hunting methods. They circled low above the lake, and as soon as a small fish leaped out of the water to breathe fresh air, they would transform into a bolt of lightning, extending their sharp claws to pierce the prey's soft belly and snatch it in their mouths.

"This place is so beautiful!" Kelly exclaimed, taking a deep breath.

"Wife, let's live here in seclusion from now on, okay?" I whispered in her ear, holding her slender waist.

"Mmm," Kelly murmured softly, her neck flushed.

"Okay, then let's have a bunch of kids, a harmonious marriage, a happy family, wouldn't that make everyone envious!" I gently stretched out my arms and pulled her into my embrace, wrapping my arms around her delicate body, and chuckled.

"You idiot! Who said I was going to have a bunch of kids for you!" Kelly pushed away from my chest, her

jade-like face flushed as she scolded. "How could you say that? You're my wife, how can you not give me a few chubby, fair-skinned babies!" I reached out to pull her into my arms again, but she cleverly twisted my arm, and I missed.

"I don't care, I just don't want to have kids for you!" Kelly's adorable pout captivated me.

"Fine, don't have kids then, come here, give your husband a kiss!" I pounced on her like a bear.

"You're so annoying!" Kelly bent down, dodging my pounce, and said coquettishly with a smile.

"Don't run away, I'll catch you!" I chased after Kelly's distant figure.

"Hehehe," came the silvery laughter as I chased after Kelly, tickling her armpits.

"See if you'll still laugh at me!" I wrapped my arms around her waist and launched an attack on her sensitive areas, instantly filling the entire fairyland with even more laughter, adding even more charm to the fairyland.
