Shenyang, Don't Cry for Me - Chapter Thirty-Eight: Shunzi

During the winter vacation of 1998, Lulu came back. As soon as she returned, she immediately became the center of attention for me and Zhang Ge. Zhang Ge gave Lulu lots of money to spend, and I was the one who spent the money along with her. After leaving Lü Meng, I was empty and bored anyway, so I would accompany Lulu shopping, watching movies, and even went to Qipanshan to play on ice sleds twice. I wondered where they all came from.
The entire wedding exuded an air of extravagance, perhaps so much so that it seemed a bit tacky. I specially prepared a 2,000 yuan red envelope, which was a month and a half's salary! However, Shunzi had helped me before, and I might need her help in the future. Besides, Shunzi and I had a closer, albeit somewhat self-pitying, relationship than others, so spending a little more was normal. I know she wouldn't even notice the money, but I guess my heart is with her.
Back then, there was a popular advertising slogan: "You reap what you sow." It's just that my reward came a little too quickly. Less than a month later, Brother Zhang came to me and said he had his eye on a piece of land in the Dadong District. 第二天十一点前必须把标书交上去，可是都十点半多了，顺子那还没信儿，给她打手机还关机。我和张哥就等在离建委不远的一条胡同里，张哥急得像热窝上的蚂蚁，不停的围着他的宝马车转悠着，烟都快抽一盒了。十点四十的时候他他实在挺不住了，一脚踩灭手里的香烟，孤注一掷地对我说：「要不咱们就填1400万得了，肯定能拿下来！」
我按住张哥的手说再等一等。其实我心里也很急，但我相信顺子一定会有消息来。这时候我的手机一阵颤动，我急忙打开看，是顺子发来的一条短信，上面没有文字，只有一组数字：1210。
张哥紧张的看着我说：「怎么样？！」
我说：「马上填标书！竞标价格就写1210万！」
张哥一听这个数字比他设想的低了200来万，乐得不行了，填标书的时候手都哆嗦了。标书上的印章什么的早就弄完了，就差这个数字没填。他填的时候我已经发动了车子向建委门口开过去。到了建委的楼下，车还没停稳呢，张哥就像箭一样冲出去奔楼上跑。还差五分钟11点的时候，我看到张哥满头是汗却一脸轻松的下楼来了。
他坐上车说：「兄弟，走，跟你哥喝酒去！」
我说：「我哪有时间啊，下午还有不少事呢。」
张哥也没勉强我说：「你的事重要，咱哥俩儿哪天喝都行，你可给我省老钱了，天天请你吃鲍翅都够了！」
我笑着说：「那玩弄儿我可吃不惯，还没有咱农家菜好吃呢！」
我把车开到离市政府不远的地方停下，下车之前张哥还是忍不住问我：「兄弟，你朋友那能准成儿不？」我丝毫没怀疑过顺子做这些事的能力，她三年之内就当上了副处长，可不是乱盖的。于是我笑着安慰张哥放一百个心吧！

很快顺子给我打电话说那块地的竞卖结果出来了，我们中了标，并且我们的标价比其他几家中报价最高的多了10万。这虽然在我的意料之中，但听到以后仍然出离的高兴，那一刻我觉得顺子真像个活菩萨。我把消息告诉了张哥，张哥乐得电话都拿不住了，掉地上两次才把话说完。
晚上张哥就打电话说有事让我过去一趟。到了张哥家，张哥也没废话，直接问我应该怎么感谢我的朋友。我说：「我也不知道圈儿里的规矩，你就看着办吧。」
张哥说：「要不等我把房子盖好了给她留一个大套？」
我说：「她老公是搞建筑工程的，估计家里的房子不能小了，给房子可能不合适。」
张哥说：「那就好办了，直接给钱就得了。我已经准备了五十万，你看够不？」
我吓了一跳，说：「大哥，你有钱烧的吧？干什么给那么多钱啊？！」
张哥说：「你又不是不知道，人家不但帮咱们拿下了地皮，还给咱们省了200来万哪！给五十万并不算多嘛！」
我问张哥：「你哪来那么多钱啊？」
张哥面上一惭说：「你哥这些年确实挣了几百万，不过房地产公司主要靠的是贷款，我那点钱买块地皮都不够，更别说盖高层了。」
我说：「要是贷款你还是省点花吧，拿20万就行了，我去送，她不会赚少的。」
张哥迟疑的说：「少了点吧？」
我说：「你就听我的吧。」张哥没再说什么，回屋拿来一只密码箱。我看张可肯定常干这样的事，家里的密码箱就大大小小的好几个。他当着我的面从一个挺隐蔽的保险柜里拿出二十捆钱放到箱子里，锁上交给我。我拎着沉甸甸的一箱子钱说：「这钱也来的太容易了吧？」
张哥意味深长的说：「别着急，你有钱的日子在后面呢。」说着把他的宝马车钥匙扔给我说：「开我的车去吧。」
下了楼我就给顺子打电话，说想去看看她，她说：「好啊，来我家吧，挺长时间没看到你，还挺想你的。」
我笑着说：「方便吗？你不还度蜜月呢嘛。」
顺子涩声说：「很方便，我老公到外省搞工程，都走半个月了，并且还得几个月才回来。」
我开玩笑地说：「我用不了那么长时间，十分钟就够。」
说完之后我就觉得这句话有点色情。她也听出来了，笑骂了一句：「真是个中看不中用的家伙。」我讪笑着挂了电话就开车过去了。
顺子的家非常气派，楼上楼下的复式结构，一部宽大的红木旋转楼梯直通楼上。光楼下的大厅就有七八十平米，全铺着厚厚的地毯，中间摆着一套意大利的名牌沙发，整个客厅金碧辉煌的。一套非常高档的音响里正播放着钢琴曲，旋律轻松而明快，好像是那首《恋爱中的女人》。
顺子穿着一条悬垂性很好的澹色长裤和高跟鞋，上身是薄薄的开米司毛衫，衣服上都是细小的孔，领口开的很低。顺子的个子不高，这身打扮显的她的身材修长了不少。
我把装有20万块钱的皮箱放在顺子的茶几上，羡慕的对顺子说：「你真是个阔太太啊，看你住的这地方，就跟五星级宾馆似的。」
顺子拿起一个摇控器按了几下，大厅里的灯光就暗下来，不再那么金光四射了。她平澹的说：「这里对我来说，就是个五星级的宾馆。」
我笑着调侃她：「你住过不用给钱还倒搭钱的宾馆吗？」
顺子给我倒了一杯水，顺势坐在我身边，说：「倒搭钱也是有原因的，天下哪有免费的午餐哪。」
我说：「反正我觉得挺好的，至少有五星级的享受啊，不像我住那地方，还没你家客厅一半大呢！跟个猪窝似的。」
顺子盯着我的脸说：「要不我们换一下，你在这个房子里住，我去你的窝里住几天试试啊？」
我赶紧说：「我那个破庙可容不下你这尊菩萨！」
顺子低下头一脸忧怨地说：「你是没一个人在三百多平的房子里住过，住过一回你就知道漆黑的夜晚，孤身一人住在这么大的房子里有多可怕、多空虚、多无聊了。」
我看顺子情绪不好，就劝她说：「这不挺好的嘛，原来你和我一样，都是穷人家的孩子，现在你事业有成，生活又这么舒适，钱多得想怎么花怎么花。我却还在生存线上挣扎呢，你还有什么不满足的啊。」
顺子说：「钱再多又有什么用，买不来快乐，买不来温暖，也买不来感情。」
我打着哈哈说：「你可千万别这么说，我就是给你送钱来的，要是钱这么没用我不就白来了嘛。」说着把密码箱打开给顺子看，说：「这是20万，虽然少了点，但我大哥刚搞房地产这行，还不太宽裕，你就委屈点吧。」
顺子根本就没看箱子里的钱，一直盯着我的眼睛，等我说完了，她才高深莫测地说：「这钱我不要。」
我心里一惊以为她嫌少呢，就说：「你要是觉得不够等房子盖起来了再给你留一套吧。」
顺子死死的盯着我说：「不，我只要你还我一个承诺！」
我看着她的样子心里直发毛，问到：「什么承诺啊？！」
顺子说：「两年多前那天，我们唱k的时候你答应要请我跳舞的。」
我一下子想起来了，是有这事，当时我说要是学会了跳舞第一个请她跳来着。没想到她还记着！顺子的心计真是太深了。这样的阎王债是躲不过去的，于是我站起身说：「我还没学会跳舞呢，不过这债要是再不还利息我都付不起了。」说着向她躬下身做出邀请的姿势。
顺子没说什么，微笑着把手放在我的手里站起来，这时候音响里正放出一首舒缓的乐曲，听着很耳熟，一时想不起名字了。我和顺子贴得很近，在一平米左右的空间里缓步摇摆着。过了一会儿，顺子放开我的手，两只胳膊绕到我的后背搂住了我的腰，头也很自然的伏在了我的胸前。我们随着缠绵的音乐挪动着脚步，我感觉心里有点乱。

I smiled and replied, "You've gained both profit and profit; be content."
She retorted fiercely, "You remember this: from today onwards, every time you ask me for a favor, you have to be my gigolo! I'll pay you!!" I deleted her message with a wicked grin. Actually, I really have to thank Shunzi; she's the one who let me know I hadn't become a eunuch.
I suddenly remembered that the song I sang while dancing at Shunzi's house was called "Don't Cry for Me Argentina".
