[Wuxia] The Duan Family Women Generals (Complete) - 39

Chapter Thirty-Two – The Government Army Launches a Strong Attack on Bajiao Ridge, and the Female Generals

Face Dire Straits Before the Great Round Tower
. Last time, we recounted how the Wu tribe attacked Nanling from behind, forcing He Li into the Great Round Tower. With the Wu tribe's support, Shi Yunqing and his men stormed into Nanling from the western ravines, passing Bajiao Ridge, and then heading towards Jiudaogou. By this time, He Li's orders had already reached Jiudaogou. The five female generals, including Feng Juan, were all virgins, and this was no time to worry about appearances. Following the previously established rules, and at the strong request of the barbarian women, they disbanded the female cavalry composed of young girls, and each fled into the mountains. The remaining female infantry, composed of widows, each led by their female leaders, defended the passes and provided cover for the young girls.
When Shi Yunqing arrived at Jiudaogou, Wu Halong's leaders, Wu Habao and Wu Habiao, leading four thousand Wu tribe warriors, had already breached two ravines and were attacking the seventh.
Inside and outside the villages at the passes of Jiudaogou and Badaogou, lay countless corpses of barbarian women, their skirts lifted, exposing their genitals.
Hundreds more were bound, kneeling by the roadside, mouths in the mud, some heads severed, others with bamboo sticks inserted into their genitals, their private parts stained and filthy—clearly, they had been raped and then murdered.
Shi Yunqing shouted, "Officers, quickly advance to Toudaogou to support the Marshal's army as they enter the mountains. There are tens of thousands of barbarian women there; whoever captures one is theirs!"
Hearing that there were female captives to satisfy their lust, the soldiers fought bravely, charging towards the Qidaogou pass. Just then, Feng Xiaoyu dispatched his deputy Cao Yu with 20,000 troops, bypassing the western mountain gullies, to Qidaogou to await Shi Yunqing's command. This time, the barbarian women suffered greatly. They now numbered only five or six thousand, scattered across various passes in Erdaogou and Qidaogou. They were no match for the tens of thousands of government troops, especially with the addition of four thousand warriors from the Wu tribe. Although outnumbered, these warriors were highly skilled in mountain warfare and became formidable enemies for the barbarian women.
Jiudaogou was destroyed, and in just two days, Shi Yunqing reached Erdaogou to support Feng Xiaoyu's army.
Of the thousands of barbarian women, fifty percent perished in battle, and the remaining half were captured and immediately subjected to a virginity test. Those who had already lost their virginity were gang-raped; some were raped for days until they died, while others, though not raped to death, were hacked to death with knives and clubs. Those who had not yet lost their virginity were forced into a life of widowhood and were also impaled on bamboo poles by the government troops and Wu tribesmen.
Feng Xiaoyu sent men to search the bodies of the thousands of barbarian women, but found not a single barbarian female general. Hearing from the shaman that He Li had sent word for the virgins to escape, presumably hiding in the surrounding mountains and forests, Feng Xiaoyu couldn't concern himself with them at this time. He left men to guard the passes in the various ravines and led his army towards Bajiaoling.
The army reached Bajiaoling, the largest plain in the Southern Mountains, which could comfortably accommodate nearly 100,000 troops.
Feng Xiaoyu ordered a day's rest and sent a messenger with a final message to the Great Round Tower. The messenger returned immediately, saying that He Li had refused to surrender and demanded that Feng Xiaoyu attack.
The next day, Feng Xiaoyu unleashed his entire army, demanding that He Li send men out to fight.
Standing on the third floor, He Li looked down and laughed loudly, "Feng Xiaoyu, you rely on the power of the imperial court to bully the weak. You have many men and great strength, what glory is there in challenging my Nanling? I will not come out; if you want to fight, then come and fight!"
Helpless, Feng Xiaoyu had no choice but to order a full-scale attack.
In an instant, dozens of stone cannons hurled stones at once, which landed on the large round building, injuring many old and young people inside and damaging several roof beams, but they were helpless against the large round building.
Seeing that this tactic was not working, they sent soldiers to ram the door with large logs and to attack with ladders. The barbarians were prepared and had already reinforced the door from the inside with huge stones, making it impossible to ram. Arrows rained down from the upper floor, and the government troops were killed and wounded in droves, but they could not shake the large round building in the slightest.
Feng Xiaoyu was anxious, but Tao Xiuying said, "Marshal, there's no need to be so hasty. Although that round tower is sturdy, tens of thousands of old and weak people live inside. Where will they get their food and water? Where will they get their arrows? As long as we keep attacking, the supplies and weapons inside will eventually run out. Then it will be easy to capture them."
Feng Xiaoyu thought it made sense, so he ordered an attack day and night.
After three more days of fighting, there was still no sign of the weapons inside running out, but the government troops had already lost seven or eight thousand men.
Feng Xiaoyu was anxious again, but Tao Xiuying said, "Marshal, don't be impatient. We can try a fire attack."
Feng Xiaoyu thought it made sense. Although the bottom of the round tower was made of stone, the upper three floors were made of wood. If a fire were lit, it wouldn't be able to withstand the attack. But then he thought it was inappropriate; that way, they wouldn't be able to capture the chief villain of Nanling alive.
After much hesitation, he decided that victory was the most important thing, so he ordered his soldiers to prepare all kinds of fire-starting materials to burn down the round tower.
A few days later, preparations for the fire attack were complete. Before dawn, Feng Xiaoyu gave the order, and dozens of stone cannons hurled fireballs at the large round tower. Powerful bows and crossbows were also used, firing upwards in unison.
He Li and the elderly and weak, watching from inside, were anxious, knowing that the battle at Nanling was truly over.
A female general, Feng Axue, entered and said, "Master, I'll lead the sisters out of the tower to attack the government troops' stone cannons and prevent them from setting fires."
"No! The main gate is sealed now. You can only descend from the third floor, and once you go out, you won't be able to come back," He Li said.
"I know, staying here is a death sentence sooner or later. Rather than being burned to death, we'd rather take advantage of the government troops' unpreparedness and have a good fight,"
He Li agreed, having no other choice.
Feng Axue went to the main hall below and explained the decision she and He Li had discussed. Except for the elderly, the weak, and the children, all the female soldiers were in complete agreement.
Before dawn, Feng Axue led several hundred people to quietly descend the stairs. They crept to the stone cannons in the dark, shouted battle cries, and charged, causing the government troops to scream in terror. Then, they set fire to the wooden stone cannons, burning them all, before rushing towards the crossbow positions.
Caught off guard, the government troops were thrown into chaos. Feng Axue and her women seized the opportunity to destroy the crossbows as well, then attacked the government army's central camp. They knew they had no way to return; they had come to die in battle.
Because of the darkness, Feng Xiaoyu and the others only understood what was happening when they saw Feng Axue arrive.
Enraged, Feng Xiaoyu personally charged at Feng Axue with her phoenix shovel.
Another chaotic battle ensued. The government troops, with their superior numbers, and the barbarian women, mostly middle-aged women in their thirties, whose strength and training were inferior to the government troops, quickly turned the battlefield into a scene of carnage.
Feng Axue ignored the fallen sisters lying in pools of blood, her mind solely focused on killing; each kill was a bonus. One by one, the soldiers were smashed in the head and broken in the spine by her copper club, dying unjustly. When she met Feng Xiaoyu, she didn't even speak, but
instead slammed her club into the horse's head. Feng Xiaoyu had intended to exchange a few polite words with Feng Axue before attacking, but the other woman, standing on the ground, had her view blocked by the horse's head. The horse, struck dead by Feng Axue's club, threw Feng Xiaoyu off.
Upon seeing this, Feng Axue rushed forward and swung her club.
Fortunately for Feng Xiaoyu, who could move both on and off horseback, she somersaulted in mid-air without falling.
Seeing Feng Axue rush in, her phoenix shovel still on the ground, she could only retreat hastily.
Wang Ke and Shi Yunqing, seeing this, turned pale with fright and quickly spurred their horses to block Feng Axue.
Feng Axue was no match for the combined attack of Generals Wang Ke and Shi Yunqing. Shi Yunqing pinned her copper staff down with a single blow, while Wang Ke, riding a ponies, caught up, grabbed her, dragged her onto his horse, snatched her copper staff, and threw her to the ground. Soldiers on both sides rushed forward and held her down tightly, binding her securely with ropes.
Feng Xiaoyu now knew what it meant to be utterly humiliated. This was the only time she had fought an enemy officer during this campaign, and to be knocked off her horse was a disgrace she couldn't bear. Seeing Feng Axue bound by the soldiers, her anger flared. She ordered, "Where are the two vanguard officers?"
"Your subordinates are here!" Wang Ke and Shi Yunqing hurriedly replied, clasping their hands.
"Drag this wretched woman under the Great Round Tower and let the soldiers torture her to death!"
"Understood!"
Upon hearing this, the two vanguards were overjoyed and hurriedly accepted the order, ordering their soldiers to escort Feng Axue towards the Grand Round Building.
Feng Axue, upon hearing Feng Xiaoyu's command, was speechless with astonishment and cursed, "Feng Xiaoyu, you call yourself a woman! Utterly shameless!"
Hearing the curse, Feng Xiaoyu, though still filled with hatred, also felt uneasy. After all, she was a woman; how could she issue such an order? She feared becoming a laughingstock. But the order had already been given and couldn't be retracted. However, she felt that others would secretly laugh at her, which was one of the reasons she harbored resentment towards Tao Xiuying, Wang Ke, Shi Yunqing, and everyone else who knew the truth, and thus plotted to harm them.

Chapter 33 of Imperial Decree 033 – He Li Commits Self-Immolation

at the Grand Round Tower, and the Soldiers of Nanling Town Receive Rewards. It is said that Wang Ke and Shi Yunqing, having received orders that Feng Xiaoyu had raped and murdered He Axue, led their soldiers to drag He Axue, whose hands were bound behind her back, towards the Grand Round Tower. Later, soldiers bound seven or eight captured barbarian women and also brought them to the open space in front of the tower.
By this time, it was already dawn. Looking at the barbarian women, although most were around thirty, they were already past their prime. Looking at He Axue, she was only twenty-five or twenty-six, with a slender figure and beautiful face.
Wang Ke ordered his soldiers to shout to the Grand Round Tower, calling for He Li to come out and see He Axue's fate.
The soldiers pushed several grain carts forward, placing each female captive on one cart, unbuttoning her short blouse, removing her barbarian boots, and tearing off her tube skirt, revealing her jade-like body.
Wang Ke ordered his soldiers to spread He Axue's legs, revealing her hairy vulva. He personally parted her labia to examine her closely, confirming she had been defiled before he was relieved.
He Axue's eyes were filled with tears, yet she refused to submit, glaring angrily at Wang Ke.
Seeing that look, Wang Ke thought of Xu Xiaoyang and her sister, and Zhang Ping, before Xu Youliang was captured, and felt a pang of pity. However, since Feng Xiaoyu had given the order, he could not disobey.
Wang Ke stepped back and said to Shi Yunqing, "Vanguard Shi, please!" Shi Yunqing, though also fond of heroes, was unlike Wang Ke. He did not refuse, walked to the carriage, removed his robe, revealed his penis, and began thrusting it into He Axue's vagina.
Wang Ke allowed them to gang rape her, then mounted his horse and retreated to the side to keep watch.
On the large round tower, He Li and the elderly, women, and children cursed the government troops for their shamelessness, but the troops ignored them.
While raping the female captive, Wang Ke sent men to launch a fierce attack.
The barbarians upstairs were united in their resolve, vowing never to surrender.
For days and nights, they relentlessly attacked. Poor He Axue, daughter of a noble family from the Southern Mountains, suffered this calamity, brutally raped until she bled profusely, dying before the eyes of her fellow villagers. The barbarian female soldiers were also raped to death, and the assault still failed.
Feng Xiaoyu ordered the attack to continue while simultaneously hastening the forging of stone cannons in preparation for another fire attack.
Only two or three cannons were completed when a change occurred: the arrows from the large round tower stopped firing, and instead, stones, bricks, and tables and chairs were thrown down.
Feng Xiaoyu was overjoyed, knowing that the barbarians inside had lost their defensive equipment, and final victory was imminent. He rode to the tower and ordered the barbarians to come out and surrender.
A short while later, He Li appeared at the third-floor window, looking at Feng Xiaoyu and saying, "Feng Xiaoyu, you wretched woman, listen to me. Though my tribe is weak, we are not to be bullied. Now I'll show you the backbone of the Nanling people." Feng Xiaoyu was puzzled when suddenly a soldier shouted, "Marshal, look! The building is on fire!"
Feng Xiaoyu looked in the direction he was pointing and indeed saw thick smoke billowing from the lower windows of the large round building. In the blink of an eye, flames were leaping from the arrow slits, realizing the barbarians intended to immolate themselves.
While Feng Xiaoyu was relieved that she had finally completed her mission to annihilate the Nanling, she also felt utterly defeated.
A short while later, the fire had reached the third floor, igniting the upper wooden frame.
He Li had already reached the sixth floor and was laughing loudly from the window: "Feng Xiaoyu, go back and tell Feng Qing that although you have broken through Bajiaoling today, the Nanling barbarians cannot be wiped out. Sooner or later, his world will belong to us Nanling people. Let him remember that!"
The fire at the Great Round Tower burned for seven days and seven nights. When the government troops entered the ruins of the Great Round Tower, everyone inside had been reduced to ashes, and it was unknown how many people had died.
At this time, Feng Xiaoyu transferred the troops attacking the Great Round Tower back to Jiudaogou to search for the hidden barbarian girls. However, a few days earlier, three barbarian female generals had led more than a hundred barbarian girls out of the Toudaogou Pass and disappeared.
Guided by the shaman, the government troops spent more than two months searching every gully and ridge of Jiudaogou, every blade of grass and tree, and finally found all the hidden barbarian girls.
Once exposed, the barbarian women fought back fiercely. Some forced the government troops to kill them, while others, unable to withstand the overwhelming force, were captured.
The search of the mountains yielded over three thousand barbarian women; two thousand were killed on the spot for their fierce resistance, and over a thousand were captured. The last two of the twelve female generals of Nanling, Feng Juan and He Lizhen, were finally found in the last grove of trees.
Naturally unwilling to be captured, the two women charged at the government troops on horseback, trying to fight their way out of the mountains.
They were found at Jiudaogou, and knowing it was difficult to traverse, they detoured to the western gully.
They fought desperately and finally broke through the gully, only to be blocked by the government troops' camp outside.
By this time, all the female soldiers led by the two women had been killed or captured, leaving only the two of them. Having broken through the government camp, they could have hidden in the more expansive Huanglongdong forest. However, there they encountered a formidable opponent.
Wang Ke and Shi Yunqing were extremely cautious. Having received news that the two female generals were heading this way, they had already made preparations. To prevent themselves from committing suicide, they deliberately dressed as soldiers and mingled among them as they approached.
By this time, the government troops had acquired many ponies in Nanling, so those surrounding them were all cavalry.
Seeing that the enemy consisted mostly of soldiers, with only a junior officer and no other officers, the two female generals thought they had escaped with their lives and lowered their guard, charging towards the enemy.
They broke through one blockade, cutting down seven or eight government soldiers, then broke through another, cutting down several more. As the road drew closer, they had no time to think.
However, at that moment, two soldiers attacked them almost simultaneously from the side.
The weapons came incredibly fast. Knowing they were in trouble, they hurriedly tried to parry, only to realize their mistake: they no longer had time to gather their strength. Their
light weapons met the heavy weapons of their opponents and flew away instantly. The two female warriors, unarmed and before they even understood what was happening, were each grabbed by a strong arm and dragged onto the other's horse.
Upon seeing Wang Ke and Shi Yunqing's faces, the two girls simultaneously shed tears of regret.
Having captured Feng Juan and He Lizhen, Feng Xiaoyu knew the internal conflict at Jiudaogou was over. She handed Jiudaogou and Bajiaoling over to Wu Halong, leaving only a thousand men to continue searching for the Nanling tribesmen. She also ordered the construction of checkpoints along the main road to capture any fleeing barbarian women. Only then did she withdraw her army from the Nanling Mountains to await orders at the Nanling military town.
Over the past few dozen days, they had captured over 11,000 barbarian women. Although their genitals were skinned in preparation for reporting their achievements in the capital, there was still nowhere to dispose of their corpses. The Wu tribesmen, fearing their vengeful spirits, carried them on donkeys to the main road outside Jiudaogou and dumped them in a deep ditch, totaling over nine thousand bodies. In the height of summer, the female corpse in the ditch rotted, emitting a foul stench that lingered for months. For more than a decade afterward, one could still see the stark white bones in the ditch standing by the roadside. Later, the place was renamed Wannügou (Ten Thousand Women's Ditch).
The captured barbarian women were all shackled and taken out of the mountains, imprisoned in the Nanling military town. Among them were the female generals He Azhen and Kan Meitong, both young women. The government troops later discovered that the "Yin-Severing and Yang-Severing Powder" was ineffective on women, so the officers and soldiers of all ranks frequently visited and gang-raped the two women.
In fact, all the female prisoners, whether soldiers or generals, were virgins. The officers and soldiers dared not rape them directly, but they were also unwilling to let them go easily. Every day, they were led to the open space in front of the camp with flails, their legs spread apart, and their private parts examined for pleasure.
After ten days or so, Wu Halong finished settling affairs in his tribe and led two thousand meritorious warriors, escorting pigs, sheep, chickens, and ducks, to the military prison, while also awaiting the imperial court's rewards.
Long before He Li's self-immolation at the Great Round Tower, Feng Xiaoyu had sent a battle report to the capital to report his achievements. Now, nearly three months later, the emperor finally dispatched an official as an imperial envoy to Nanling to deliver an imperial decree.
The imperial edict essentially stated: 1. The campaign to pacify Nanling was a great victory. Princess Feng Xiaoyu was promoted to the rank of General Who Pacifies the South. Tao Xiuying, who served in the army, was promoted one rank and enfeoffed as Duke of the State. Wang Ke and Shi Yunqing were each granted the title of Marquis. Each soldier was rewarded with one hundred taels of silver. All officers, regardless of rank, were promoted one rank. Those who had rendered meritorious service would receive additional rewards. 2. The Wu tribe assisted in the conquest of Nanling and was awarded the title of King of Nanling. Wu Halong was granted the title of King of Nanling and was bestowed with gold, silver, and colored silk. Warriors of the tribe below the rank of Marquis were permitted to appoint themselves. 3. The chief culprits of the captured barbarians were to be brought to the capital for trial. The rest were to be executed on the spot without delay. 4. Deputy General Ma Yuanbiao was promoted to General Who Guards the South and appointed garrison commander of Zhennan Pass. He was to remain at Zhennan Pass to continue the pursuit of the remaining Nanling rebels. 5. Except for Ma Yuanbiao, all officers of the rank of general and above, along with two thousand men of the Central Army, were to withdraw from Zhennan Pass within ten days and return to the capital. The remaining officers and soldiers were to return to their original posts within a specified period.
Upon receiving the imperial edict, all the officers and soldiers looked up and expressed their gratitude. Wu Halong specially wrote a letter of thanks and entrusted Feng Xiaoyu to deliver it to the court.
The captured female prisoners were separated. Five female generals—Feng Juan, He Lizhen, Huang Mingfeng, He Azhen, and Kan Meitong—were transported in separate flails and carts, while the remaining female prisoners were executed on the spot.
Hearing that the female prisoners were to be executed, Wu Halong immediately became interested and hurriedly said to Feng Xiaoyu, "Marshal Feng, my tribe and the barbarians are sworn enemies. Could you entrust the task of killing the rebellious women of Nanling to me?"
Feng Xiaoyu, hearing this, thought that avenging a sworn enemy was a perfectly respectable reason, and replied, "What difficulty is there? Please, Your Excellency Wu, handle it as you see fit. Just be extremely careful, and don't let a single one escape."
"Of course."
How Wu Halong would take revenge remains to be seen; we shall find out in the next chapter.

Chapter 34 of Imperial Decree 034 – Wu Halong's Rampage at Thousand Maidens Slope, Five Women Suffer

on the Road to the Capital. Last time, we recounted how the imperial court issued an edict ordering the execution of all female prisoners before the army's return. Upon hearing this, Wu Halong hurriedly asked Feng Xiaoyu for the task of killing the prisoners.
Because of the long-standing feud between the Wu tribe and the barbarian tribes, Feng Xiaoyu granted Wu Halong's request.
Wu Halong returned to his tribe's camp and immediately summoned his followers and warriors to explain the matter. Everyone was extremely excited.
Just as dawn broke, the people residing in the southern three passes and the military town had already gathered at a small hill in the southwest of the town to witness the execution. When
the sun was high in the sky, Wu Halong and his Wu tribe warriors finally led the female prisoners slowly to the foot of the hill.
Why so slow? The female prisoners were all wearing flails, so they couldn't walk fast.
On the south side of the hill was a slope a mile long. Wu Halong had already ordered his men to cut down the trees on the slope, leaving a path three zhang wide from top to bottom.
The group led the barbarian women to the top of the slope.
Witch warriors had already set out a bamboo chair for Wu Halong at the top of the slope, and held up a bamboo umbrella for him to sit under.
Having enjoyed his moment in the limelight, Wu Halong then gave the order: "Execute them!"
After the order was given, witch warriors brought over a flail, to which ten barbarian women were nailed.
Wu Halong looked at the women; although their faces were haggard from long imprisonment, their youth and beauty remained undiminished.
Wu Halong let the flail slowly pass before him, and then, one by one, he personally unbuttoned each woman's short blouse, exposing her breasts for his fondling, then loosened her skirts, letting them slide to the ground, and then carefully touched her buttocks and pubic hair.
The women's private parts had already been seen and played with countless times by the guards; now they forgot their shame, only glaring hatefully at Wu Halong, defiant to the death.
The undressed women were dragged to the top of the slope and laid down. Bound by the flail, they were restrained by each other and unable to resist.
Many warriors had already arrived, untied the barbarian women from their flails, and held
them down one by one, stripping them of their clothes, shoes, and socks. Some grabbed the women's legs to prevent them from moving, while others lifted one of their legs and tucked it under their armpits, rendering them completely immobile. A shaman from the witch tribe stood nearby, holding a sharp knife and chanting incantations. Then, he made a horizontal cut two inches deep from the top of the pubic hair, and then cut from the base of the legs backward to the buttocks, where the cut met behind the anus. Then, starting from the front, he peeled off the pubic skin piece by piece.
Of all the ancient tortures, skinning was the most painful. The ten barbarian women screamed agonizingly, but ultimately, they could not escape having their pubic skin peeled off, blood flowing freely. Then, bamboo tips were used to pierce through the bloody flesh from the groin into the abdomen, and then they were dragged up and pushed down the slope.
Most of the barbarian women were already dead. Some rolled down the slope like logs, some somersaulted upright, and some, midway through their rolls, suddenly rose headfirst, spinning like tops, their jade-like legs spread wide.
By dusk, only half had been killed.
Wu Halong ordered his camp to be re-established on the mountainside for a temporary encampment.
The next morning, the executions resumed.
It wasn't until after late afternoon that all the more than a thousand female captives were killed. The corpses piled up from the bottom of the slope to the middle, overlapping each other. The gleaming flesh and dripping blood were a truly gruesome sight.
The barbarian women either screamed and cursed or wept, but not one of them yielded or begged for mercy. It was a pity
that more than a thousand young girls in the prime of their lives had vanished like a dream, a truly heartbreaking tragedy.
After slaughtering all the female prisoners, Wu Halong moved his camp back. The men who had overseen the executions rushed to see the young women's bodies. Some, oblivious to the danger, used bamboo poles and wooden sticks to fondle the corpses' buttocks and breasts, venting their lust.
Because a thousand barbarian women were killed on this hillside, later generations named the place Thousand Women's Slope. Along with Ten Thousand Women's Gully outside Jiudao Gully, Thousand Women's Gully outside Huanglong Cave, and the ruins of the Great Round Tower at Bajiaoling, these places later became sites of seasonal sacrifices for the Nanling barbarians.
Meanwhile, Wu Halong sent men to tan the more than one thousand pieces of genital skin in a jar and delivered the order to Feng Xiaoyu.
Feng Xiaoyu ordered the genital skin to be loaded onto the grain carts in the rear camp, and on an auspicious day, the army would return to the capital.
Hearing that the government army had annihilated the Nanling and was returning home, the people along the way all went to the main road to watch.
A procession marched ahead, clearing the way with the sound of gongs, followed by a hundred flag bearers. Behind them rode Princess Feng Xiaoyu, riding a tall horse, displaying her power and prestige. Following her were Tao Xiuying, Wang Ke, Shi Yunqing, and their officers.
Wang Ke and Shi Yunqing, who had initially been dismissive, now held Feng Xiaoyu in high esteem, unaware that her achievements were all Tao Xiuying's.
Behind the generals were another hundred flag bearers, followed by two hundred cavalry and two hundred infantry. After the infantry came the supply corps.
First came the treasures presented to the court by various factions of Zhennanguan, then the carts escorting prisoners of war.
At the very front were two carts connected by a long wooden plank, each three zhang long. Each cart had a thick wooden post supporting it, and on top of the posts rested specially made flails. On these flails, five young and beautiful barbarian women were shackled, spaced five feet apart.
The women, the oldest no more than twenty and the youngest no more than sixteen or seventeen, were slender and beautiful as flowers. Each wore a short, embroidered vest, unbuttoned at the front, revealing ten vibrant breasts—the larger ones as firm as jade bells, the smaller ones as pointed as mountains. Each wore a wooden plaque with her name on it.
The five barbarian women wore short tube skirts, the hems tied to flails with thin ropes, exposing their shapely buttocks and exposed pubic areas.
Their barbarian boots were long gone, leaving their small, delicate feet bare. The wooden post was too high, forcing them to stand on tiptoe, leaving them exhausted.
Further back, there were two carts linked together, but instead of flails, they were supported by a round beam about four inches thick. On the beam were four female corpses, all with their hands and feet bound together in front of them, hanging from the beam. Bamboo sticks were inserted between their plump, beautiful buttocks, swaying and lifeless.
Further back were a dozen or so large carts, each with nine thin bamboo poles supporting it, and hanging from each pole a string of hairy things—clearly the genitals of barbarian women.
Behind them were the provisions and supplies, followed by four hundred infantrymen and a lieutenant.
Although there were only a thousand government troops, the procession was imposing and menacing.
The common people, loyal only to the emperor, cared nothing for right or wrong. Seeing the princess's dignified face, they felt honored; seeing the five half-naked female captives, they launched into a barrage of insults, doing everything in their power to humiliate them.
The five women, including Feng Juan, were always put on prison carts during marches. The flails were so high that they had to stand on tiptoe; after several miles, they were drenched in sweat.
After finally entering the camp and being unloaded from the prison carts, the five women were immediately surrounded by lewd soldiers who groped their breasts and buttocks, or spread their legs to watch their erotic scenes. He Azhen and Kan Meitong were even subjected to gang rape.
The five poor women suffered this torment for the sake of protecting the survival of their barbarian tribe.
They endured their suffering, hoping to reach the capital soon to be executed and end their misery.
They traveled for over a month, stopping frequently, before finally seeing the city walls of Yecheng.
What kind of torture would the five barbarian women endure in the capital? Find out in the next chapter.

Chapter Thirty-Five of Imperial Decree 035 – Feng Xiaoyu Presents Captives in Yecheng, Barbarian Women Humiliated in Prison .

It is said that after more than a month of travel, the army finally arrived in the capital.
Feng Qing dispatched officials of the fourth rank and below from the capital to greet them at the Ten-Mile Pavilion, and officials of the second rank and below to the Five-Mile Pavilion. He himself led
high-ranking officials of the second rank and above to welcome the soldiers at the Anding Gate. Along the way, the soldiers were in high spirits, eating meat and drinking wine. However, the five female generals on the prison cart suffered greatly. Each time they were transported, countless officials would come to inspect them, inevitably pinching their breasts and buttocks, but they were not allowed to dismount. They stood on tiptoe for half a day, more tired than on the road.
Only when they reached the city gate and saw the Emperor, did Feng Qing, being the Emperor, have to feign concern upon seeing the five female captives' unsightly state, saying, "This is an unseemly sight; quickly send them to prison."
Only then were the five female generals relieved.
The female generals were imprisoned in the Imperial Prison, and since they no longer had to walk, their flails were removed, leaving them only in shackles.
For those who had already endured so much torture, there was no point in resisting or seeking death; besides, the conditions here were indeed much better than on the road.
However, since entering the prison, they had stopped wearing any clothes, for sooner or later, they would only die naked on the execution ground.
Sure enough, Feng Qing was busy rewarding the three armies, bestowing titles upon meritorious generals, and then ordering them back to their posts. After more than half a month of this, he finally remembered the five barbarian female generals in the prison.
There were more than a hundred strings of barbarian female genitalia, which had been hung at various intersections in the capital for half a month before being collected and sold to lustful wealthy merchants; the heads of the four female generals who had been preserved were also cut off, and their bodies were split in the middle and hung at the city gates for public display, and later, some people bought them.
Now only the five captured female generals remained undecided.
Remembering this, Feng Qing ordered his warriors to bring the five women from the prison to the palace to inquire about the situation in the Southern Ridge, as he was still very worried about the Southern Ridge.
A great fire burned down the large round building, but how many people were inside? Who were they? No one knew.
Were these few female soldiers and generals truly the only ones left among the Nanling people? No one knew either, so Feng Qing tried to extract some information from the five female prisoners.
But the result was very disappointing, because it seemed that everything He Li had done was so secretive that even these five barbarian female generals didn't know. What's worse, Feng Qing was also scolded by the five female generals, and they only criticized his shortcomings, which made him furious.
After taking the five women away, Feng Qing immediately issued an edict to the Ministry of Justice, ordering them to supervise the execution of the five barbarian rebels by slow slicing.
As soon as the edict arrived, the Ministry of Justice immediately sent someone to notify the prison and prepare everything.
The head of the Ministry of Justice arrived at the prison early to arrange everything.
After seeing Feng Qing, the five women knew that their death was imminent and that all their suffering would soon be over, so they felt very relaxed. As soon as
the head of the Ministry of Justice arrived, he immediately ordered the five female prisoners to be taken to the front hall for execution.
Five large wooden frames shaped like the Chinese character "大" (da, meaning "large" or "tall") were prepared in the hall. The five women, freed from their shackles, were bound to these frames. He Azhen and Kan Meitong were raped first, and then each of the five women was bathed and cleansed.
The five girls believed they had truly reached the end of their ordeal, and smiles appeared on their faces.
After the bathing, the foreman, acting on orders from above, wanted to let the five female prisoners know the pain they would suffer on the execution ground the next day, so that they would endure even more torment.
The foreman approached and gently pinched Feng Ling's pointed nipple, saying, "I've been ordered to tell you the details of tomorrow's execution. Listen carefully, and cooperate well tomorrow."
"At four in the morning, I will bring men again to tie you all up, stick scabbards on your backs, and wait for the Ministry of Justice to send soldiers to take you away." After five o'clock, the Ministry of Justice personnel will arrive, and after the handover is complete, you will be escorted out of the prison. By then, the streets outside the prison will be packed with people, all waiting to see your bodies: "There are five wooden donkeys on the street, each with a wooden stick on its back, about seven inches high and the thickness of a small teacup. When the time comes, the soldiers will lift you up, displaying your genitals to the crowd, and then push you onto the wooden donkeys. The wooden sticks will be inserted into your genitals, and as the donkeys are pushed, the sticks will move up and down, thrusting into your anuses, making you moan and cry out in lust, displaying your shameful behavior." You will be paraded through the five streets and three... "Finally, they'll be taken to the execution ground, where there's a high platform. They'll lift you onto it and place you on five wooden tables to display your genitals. Wooden pestles will be used to plug your anus and genitals to await punishment. This isn't the end. The executioner will verify your identity, and then the execution will begin at noon. By imperial decree, we'll first push you onto the wooden frames, nail your hands and feet together, then whip your chests ten times and your genitals ten times—enough to split your vulvas in two. Then we'll skin you alive, cut off your breasts, and then meticulously cut you from your legs and arms for three days and three nights. If you still don't die, we'll disembowel you, removing your internal organs piece by piece. Finally, we'll cut off your heads and dismember your bodies to display to the public."
The executioner gestured as he spoke, mimicking the torture on Feng Juan's body.
Feng Juan listened and thought, her fear growing ever stronger. She twisted her body, screaming incessantly.
At first, the other four managed to hold back, but later, influenced by Feng Juan, they too began to scream.
The head constable, seeing his goal achieved, led the others away.
The five barbarian women, finding themselves alone, finally had a chance to say goodbye, fearing they wouldn't be able to speak again in the agony of the next day.
This was their last night, and the five women seemed to want to say everything they had to say in their lives. Inevitably, the topic of their execution came up, which horrified them, so they changed the subject.
Just after the fourth watch, footsteps sounded outside the hall.
The five women looked at each other and said goodbye.
A short while later, constables entered, saying, "Gentlemen, it's time to go. We are under orders and have no choice. If you offend anyone, don't accuse the wrong person before the King of Hell."
With that, five large mats were laid out on the ground.
Feng Juan was taken down from the rack and laid face down on one of the mats.
One constable held her legs together, a second held her waist, a third stood in front of her and held her arms, and a fourth took ropes to tie her up.
Feng Juan had no intention of resisting, lying quietly as he bound her.
Soon, she was completely tied up, and a death warrant was taken and inserted behind her back. A short rope was then used to bind her ankles.
Then the remaining four women were bound in turn. After they were bound, they were all ordered to lie stiffly on the mat, awaiting the arrival of the Ministry of Justice officials.
He had no choice but to squat down beside her again, using his fingers to part her buttocks, revealing her vulva and anus from behind her legs. A crowd gathered to watch; although it wasn't the first time, it was the last, so they watched carefully and with great interest.
Before dawn, the streets were already bustling with noise, knowing the people were waiting to witness the execution.
Just then, the fifth watch drum sounded, and a minor official from the Ministry of Justice led ten soldiers in, who, along with the head constable, handed over the five female prisoners one by one. The soldiers, too, examined the prisoners' private parts before carrying them out of the prison.
Feng Juan was in front; as soon as she stepped out, she heard thunderous cheers. The five women were different now than when they entered the city. Back then, they were covered in dust and looked haggard; this time, they were clean, revealing their beautiful, peach-blossom faces, which naturally drew cheers.
The five women were carried, their feet dangling in the air, looking at the sea of people on the street, and in the middle of the road, the five wooden donkeys.
Look at that wooden donkey, with its enormous wooden pestle standing there stiffly. Thinking of their virginity, lost for over ten years, on that very pestle, the five women were filled with fear and twisted their bodies in agony.
The soldiers ignored their struggles. Several more soldiers stepped forward, grabbed their legs, lifted them high, exposing their private parts to the crowd, and then walked towards the wooden donkey.
The three virgin prisoners were terrified and struggled violently, while the two young women remained expressionless, letting them do as they pleased.
What happens next? Stay tuned for the next chapter.

Chapter 36 of Imperial Chapter 036 – The Carefree Hero Saves a Criminal in the Street, the Evil Official and the Market Scoundrels Pierce a Woman's Corpse.

Last time, we said that the five barbarian women were bound naked and about to be pushed onto the wooden donkey when suddenly two dark figures, like giant eagles, swooped down from mid-air, landing between the women and the donkey.
The two men, their faces covered with black cloths, remained silent. The one in front snatched Feng Juan from the soldiers and tucked her under his left arm. He then pointed at the soldiers who were about to resist He Lizhen, pinning them in place. He snatched He Lizhen under his right arm, leaped several meters into the air, and landed on the roof opposite the prison.
The man behind snatched Huang Mingfeng, also tucking her under his arm, and then leaped onto the roof.
This action was sudden and unexpected. By the time the clerk from the Ministry of Justice realized what was happening and hurriedly ordered arrows to be fired, the attackers had already vanished like hawks in a few leaps.
Fearing further losses, the clerk quickly ordered the remaining two female prisoners to be protected. Upon closer inspection, He Azhen and Kan Meitong each had a sword wound on their throat, neither deep nor shallow, just enough to kill them without causing much bleeding.
Everyone was shocked. The clerk from the Ministry of Justice hurriedly sent someone to report to the executioner.
The execution was overseen by Ma Hongru, the Minister of Justice. Upon hearing this, he immediately ordered the city gates closed and rushed to the prison to ascertain the situation. He then sent a messenger to report to the palace.
Feng Qing was shocked. He ordered the execution of the minor official in the Ministry of Justice and the soldiers responsible for escorting the prisoners. He also ordered the Nine Gates Commander to arrest those who had stormed the execution ground and ordered He Azhen and Kan Meitong to be dismembered according to the law.
Ma Hongru, having received the imperial edict, ordered increased security and extreme caution to avoid any further mistakes. He then ordered the two female prisoners' corpses to be dragged onto wooden donkeys, with people standing on the carts to support them. They dared not parade the bodies through the streets and markets any longer. The two corpses were hastily taken to the execution ground, nailed to wooden frames, and subjected to the same whipping, genital-stripping, breast-cutting, and evisceration as if they were still alive. However, the spectacle was lost, especially after the execution attempt. The people were terrified and fled home, rendering the dismemberment of the corpses pointless and merely a formality. The two female generals, however, died quickly and without much suffering.
As for Feng Juan and the other two, carried under their arms, they heard only the rushing wind around them and seemed to be flying through the air. Aside from knowing they had been rescued, they knew nothing else, as if in a fog.
Before long, they reached the city walls. Instead of using the gates, they leaped over the walls and, before the guards could react, were far away.
After walking another four or five li, they circled the city, eventually heading towards the mountains.
This journey lasted nearly an hour, until they reached a secluded grove deep in the mountains. There, the two masked men stopped, laid the three girls on the ground, and untied them.
Once untied, the three girls immediately knelt on the ground and said, "We are eternally grateful to the two chivalrous gentlemen for saving us. May we ask your honorable names? We will inform you later."
The two men, a man and a woman, didn't help them up, but instead pulled down their black veils. Both were middle-aged; the man was handsome, and the woman was stunningly beautiful.
"You've suffered. Forget the formalities, get up quickly," the man said.
Upon seeing him, Feng Juan was so shocked she couldn't close her mouth: "You are...you are the Cave Master?" It turned out Feng Juan was the cousin of the Fengyi sisters, so she had seen Xu Youliang since childhood.
"It is indeed Xu Youliang."
"Cave Master, am I dreaming?" Feng Juan said, remaining kneeling on the ground, but instead grabbing Xu Youliang's leg and bursting into tears.
The other two girls were also taken aback when they heard that he was Xu Youliang, the former leader of the cave. Reunited with family, they disregarded their nakedness and crawled over, hugging Youliang's legs and weeping. Between sobs, they recounted to Youliang the story of their entire Nanling clan's sacrifice.
"I'm too late, I'm too late," Youliang murmured, stroking the three girls' black hair. Duan Lingfeng, standing nearby, also shed tears.
It turned out that Xu Youliang and Duan Lingfeng had gone into seclusion in White Horse Mountain, diligently practicing martial arts as their master had instructed. They had achieved mastery in three years, and Duan Lingfeng had borne Xu Youliang a son. They only left the mountain when their son turned three.
Because they hadn't had any contact with the outside world during those three years, they were completely unaware of what was happening in the Central Plains.
On this day, Xu Youliang emerged from seclusion and summoned Guan Yuqing.
Guan Yuqing, under the guidance of Xu Youliang and Duan Lingfeng, had also mastered considerable martial arts and had been guarding the mountain for Guan Yuqing.
Xu Youliang said, "Yuqing, Lingfeng and I have completed our martial arts training as instructed by our master and are going to the Central Plains. We'll leave the affairs of the household to you and your wife."
"Won't you need a bodyguard for this trip, my lord?"
"No need. With our current martial arts skills, who could be our bodyguard?"
"You should have someone to serve you."
"No need. It's more convenient for us to travel on our own."
"That's fine. My lord and wife, please go first. In a few days, I'll make arrangements in the mountains and then go to the Central Plains to catch up with you."
"No need."
"It's not just about catching up with my lord; we also need to contact our former subordinates in the Central Plains. If my lord needs them, they might be able to help."
"Very well, it's up to you."
Early the next morning, Xu Youliang and Duan Lingfeng entrusted their son to Bai Yushuang's care and then set off down the mountain.
Their current lightness skills were vastly different from three years ago; their speed was incredible, and they arrived at Xuanwu Pass in a single day.
They found an inn to stay at. After dinner, everyone finished their meditation and practice. When Youliang opened his eyes, he was startled to find another person in the room.
This person, with an air of otherworldly wisdom, sat with his back to Youliang in a chair at the table, slowly sipping tea.
Youliang initially thought he was going into a state of demonic possession, but upon closer inspection, he realized it wasn't an illusion.
Just as Youliang was about to speak, the person said, "Nephew, you're awake?"
Youliang was startled and hurriedly asked, "Has Uncle arrived?"
"Indeed." This person was none other than Youliang's uncle, Zhang Gui.
"Uncle, I never imagined I'd actually meet you in this lifetime." Youliang quickly rose, went around to the front, and knelt to pay his respects.
Zhang Gui quickly reached out to help him up, saying, "Get up, get up, dear nephew, family doesn't need such formalities."
At this moment, Duan Lingfeng also finished her training. Hearing that it was Uncle Youliang, she hurriedly came over to pay her respects.
After exchanging pleasantries, Youliang said, "Uncle, what brings you here to see your nephew today?"
"I know you have completed your training in three years and are about to return to the Central Plains, so I waited here specifically to give you some advice."
"Please speak, Uncle."
"When you enter the Central Plains this time, everything has changed. Don't be attached to anything. Also, all misfortunes are the will of Heaven. You should take advantage of the situation, act chivalrously, and not commit any more killings."
"Yes."
"Remember what I said back then: the imperial aura of the Xu family is destined for its descendants. Don't be greedy for merit and act hastily."
"Yes."
"On this journey, you should first enter the capital. If you encounter an execution ground, rescue the first three women, and let the last two die a quick death so they don't suffer any more pain." "
What?"
"Just go, and you'll know when the time comes."
"Yes."
Youliang knew that his uncle was already a sage, and what he said made sense, so he kept every word in mind.
The two men entered Xuanwu Pass, passed Beigucheng Pass, and headed straight for Yecheng. They first lodged at their usual spot in the mountains north of Yecheng, then traveled under cover of night to the gates of the capital, intending to enter the city at dawn. When they arrived at the city gates, the fourth drumbeat had already sounded, and they saw countless people surging into the city, which puzzled them greatly. Upon inquiring, they learned that five female prisoners from Nanling were to be executed.
Hearing that they were Nanling prisoners, Youliang was alarmed. Further inquiry revealed that his hometown had been captured by Feng Qing's troops, and now only five female prisoners remained, to be executed that day.
Youliang then understood why Zhang Gui had urged him to rush to the capital to rescue them. He hurriedly discussed the matter with Duan Lingfeng, but having no better option, they decided to abduct them in the street.
This is the story of Xu Youliang's rescue.
When Feng Juan and the other two female warriors saw You Liang, they were as if they had seen a relative, tearfully recounting their past. How could You Liang not be furious? He immediately swore, "If my Xu family ever gains power, we will surely rise again in Nanling and exterminate the witches!"
The three female warriors clung to You Liang's legs, weeping for an hour before finally stopping. You Liang persuaded them to calm down, then introduced them to Duan Lingfeng, and said, "This is not the place to talk. Let's go back to our lodgings first."
The three girls agreed and got up, only then realizing that they were completely naked. They felt ashamed and covered their genitals with their hands, their faces flushed.
The two women had not known about this matter when they came out and had not brought any clothes. They had to remove their black veils and have He Lizhen and Huang Mingfeng cover their lower bodies, leaving their breasts and buttocks exposed.
You Liang then took off his own tight-fitting upper garment and gave it to Feng Juan to wear. It was long and covered her knees, similar to a tube skirt.
The barbarian women, long accustomed to the mountains, traversed peaks and valleys as easily as flat ground. Most barbarian women, having grown barefoot since childhood, possessed calluses on their soles, preventing them from being pierced by stones when they fell. However, these three women, originally from noble families, had never been barefoot and thus could not walk.
Helpless, Youliang and Duan Lingfeng continued to carry them under their arms, heading
deeper into the mountains. After entering the mountains for several miles, they came upon a steep cliff.
Youliang said, "Don't be afraid," and leaped off.
What happens next remains to be seen; please read the next chapter.

(Chapter 37 of Imperial Chapter 037—Deep in the Mountains, Youliang Takes Three Concubines, Dwells in a Cave, Fengjuan Tells the Truth)

It is said that Youliang jumped off the cliff, and Duan Lingfeng followed suit, terrifying the three women.
After falling thirty or forty feet, Youliang and Duan Lingfeng used the bushes on the cliff to slow their speed, finally landing at the bottom of the valley.
When the three girls were placed on the ground, they found themselves in a mountain stream with a clear, babbling brook. About ten feet from the bottom, on the rock face, were two small caves.
Xu Youliang said, "This is where we'll stay. Your martial arts are still shallow; I'll teach you lightness skills first. Practice for ten days to half a month until you can climb to the top of the cliff on your own, then you can come out with us." "
Yes," the three women replied, increasingly obsequious after witnessing the incredible skill of Xu Youliang and his wife.
Duan Lingfeng had already retrieved a small bundle from one of the caves, taking out three sets of women's martial arts attire for the three girls to wear. However, there weren't enough shoes, so two of the girls had to wear them first, leaving Fengjuan barefoot.
The three women, accustomed to wearing sarongs in the Southern Mountains, found themselves quite uncomfortable in the long robes and trousers of the Central Plains.
Youliang said, "From now on, we'll be active in the Central Plains. Wearing the Nanling attire will be inconvenient for you, but you'll get used to it."
"Yes."
Lingfeng added, "The two caves up there can each hold seven or eight people. Your cave master and I will stay in the left cave, and the three of you will stay in the right one."
"Yes, Madam."
"Don't call me Madam anymore. We're not officials or nobles now, so we don't have any Madams. Fengjuan is Youliang's cousin-in-law, so just call me Sister."
"Yes."
The five of them tidied up a bit in the valley and then started a fire to cook.
Regardless of their social status, the barbarian women all knew how to do housework. Fengjuan, who had no shoes, sat there blowing on the fire, while the other two vied to wash the rice and vegetables.
Youliang watched from the side, thinking that in the vast Nanling region, only these three girls remained, and his nose tingled, almost bringing tears to his eyes.
After lunch, the five of them sat on the rocks by the stream chatting. Youliang, afraid that he might actually cry, tried to avoid serious topics.
As they spoke, Lingfeng noticed the three girls exchanging glances and blushing, which puzzled her. She said, "My three sisters, please speak freely. Why are you being so hesitant? I've heard that women from Nanling are always generous and open; they shouldn't be so coy." The
three girls pushed and shoved each other, finally kneeling before Lingfeng, their faces flushed.
"Oh dear, what are you doing?" Lingfeng exclaimed in surprise.
"We three sisters have a request for you, Madam."
"What is it?"
Before she could speak, the three women blushed again. Then Feng Juan said, "When the imperial court was about to attack Nanling, Chief Huang and the chiefs of the eighty-one caves of the Nine Gully devised a plan to preserve the clan's roots. They first sent each of the men who had been wounded in battle over the years, though unable to fight, but still able to care for themselves, to marry one or two young wives from within the clan. Before the imperial army arrived, they were to sneak out of the mountains to preserve Nanling's roots. They also ordered the unmarried women of the clan to form a group, but specifically instructed them that when Nanling was wiped out, they must find a way to escape with their lives, go out of the mountains to find the men of Nanling, and if they found them, become their wives or concubines, to bear children for Nanling, in order to hope for its revival."
"That's only right," Ling Feng said. "At times like these, the greater good should be the priority."
"And they specifically instructed us…"
"What?"
"If we see Master Xu, as long as we haven't lost our virginity, we will ask him for a son or daughter to continue the lineage of Nanling. Although we three sisters have suffered as captives, we are fortunate to have not lost our virginity, so we beg you, Madam, to allow us to ask the Master for a child. We three sisters dare not harbor any improper thoughts; as long as we can conceive the Master's children, it will be our greatest fortune in this life. We would never dare to ask for any title or recognition." After saying this, she turned from shame to sorrow and began to cry softly.
This put Duan Lingfeng in a very difficult position. In her heart, no woman wants to share her love with another. However, Xu Youliang is Xu Youliang, unlike ordinary men. The responsibilities he bears are far beyond what ordinary men can bear. And Duan Lingfeng is Duan Lingfeng, certainly not like ordinary women.
After hesitating for a long time, she reached out to pull the three girls up: "Get up, get up. We cannot accept your kneeling."
"Please, Madam, grant our request before we get up."
"Get up, get up, we promise you."
"Thank you, Madam."
"However, while I agree, I cannot allow you to have any illicit relations with the Cave Master."
Youliang, who was listening nearby, thought to himself, "Without illicit relations, how can he leave behind offspring?"
The three girls also misunderstood and hurriedly asked, "What does Madam mean?"
"He is your Cave Master. As the Cave Master, he should act with propriety and propriety. How can he have children out of wedlock? Since the three of you are willing, leaving offspring for Nanling is also a great matter. So, let my sister persuade him to take the three of you as concubines, to be together for life. This is in accordance with propriety."
The three girls then understood and kowtowed together, their voices choked with emotion, "Thank you, Madam."
Youliang then understood and couldn't help but praise, "Madam is truly a saint among women."
Lingfeng thought to herself, "What saint? If I let you taste the flesh, you'll definitely be a saint!"
Immediately, Lingfeng took charge and had the three girls and Youliang bow to heaven and earth. The three girls were all grateful and repaying, and Lingfeng was magnanimous. From then on, they served Youliang and Duan Lingfeng wholeheartedly and showed even more respect to Lingfeng.
After the ceremony, the four women recognized each other as sisters sharing the same bed. That night, they escorted Youliang and Fengjuan to the left cave for their wedding night, while Duan Lingfeng and the other two women rested in the right cave.
Youliang and Fengjuan sat side by side on the floor, Fengjuan trembling slightly like a frightened rabbit.
Youliang reached out and embraced Fengjuan, gently kissing her lips. As their intimacy deepened, just as he was about to undress her, Feng Juan hurriedly said, "Master, wait! I'm poisoned."
You Liang was startled and stopped, asking, "What poison?"
"It's the poison that severs yin and yang."
You Liang had lived in Nanling for many years and knew of this poison. Moreover, from Feng Juan's account during the day, he knew that Cao Yunlong and Pang Qi had died from it. He quickly asked, "You used poison?"
"To help us preserve our virginity, all the unmarried sisters among us twelve used poison."
"Ah? Isn't this poison incurable?"
"There is no incurable poison in the world, it's just a matter of knowing or not knowing. This poison is a protective treasure of Nanling women, so it cannot be easily passed on. Actually, this poison is also effective against married women, otherwise how would they deal with unfaithful men?"
"Then how were those widows raped by the sorcerers?"
“The ingredients for this poison are extremely rare, and the process is complex and very difficult to prepare. How could everyone have it? The chief of Heli Cave was afraid that the unmarried sisters would lose their virginity after being captured, so he deliberately revealed that it was only effective on virgins, so that those widowed sisters-in-law would sacrifice themselves to protect us.”
“I see.”
“Although the poison has the same name, each family has its own unique method. It is passed down from mother to daughter, and men do not know it. Among the four major surnames in Nanling, there are four different ways of using it. However, nowadays, people of different surnames intermarry, so only the person using which family’s poison knows.”
“How do you know if it is poisonous or not?”
“Our family’s poison is not ingested, but rather dipped in a fine needle and inserted under the skin. A red dot is left at the pricked spot. The color does not change until the poison is neutralized.”
As she spoke, Feng Juan raised her left foot so that You Liang could see the sole of her foot. Sure enough, there was a tiny needle mark.
"How can this poison be cured?"
"Actually, it's not difficult. Only two things are needed."
"What?"
"A man's saliva enters the vagina, and his semen is ingested internally. Both must be from the same person. After taking the medicine, the poison will dissipate, and the redness at the poisoned area will disappear."
"I see."
"Juan'er has a secret, which can only be told to the cave master."
"What is it?"
"The cave master's eldest son is not dead."
"Oh?" Youliang was startled. He wondered where his eldest son, Xu Xia, was now. To be continued...

Imperial Chapter 38—Xu Youliang Takes a Beautiful Concubine in the Cave, Guan Yuqing Welcomes the Lord at Liu Family Village.

Last time, we talked about Youliang and Feng Juan consummating their marriage. Feng Juan told him a secret: the son Xu Youliang had with Feng Yi was not dead.
"This is one of the biggest secrets of Nanling, known only to the cave masters. Among the female generals, Sister Kan Meiyun, being a cave master, and myself being a member of the Feng family, also know this. The other sisters are unaware of it. At that time, Cave Master Huang discussed with the other cave masters that each of the eighty-one caves in the nine valleys should select twenty strong boys aged ten to fifteen and forty strong girls aged eight to fifteen. They should also select several skilled craftsmen proficient in the seventy-two caves of Nanling, as well as several martial arts masters, and secretly send them to the Great Round Tower. The pretext was that they would train there, ostensibly to protect the Nanling army, but in reality, they would temporarily reside in the Great Round Tower. If Nanling were to face an emergency, this..." Five thousand people, led by a young cave chief, escorted the eldest son from behind the building into the deep mountains to practice martial arts, preparing to return to Nanling to avenge their family. After these boys reached adulthood, they were married to girls, with each man marrying two women to ensure many children. He Li and the other cave chiefs had agreed that in times of crisis, they would rather their entire clan perish than compromise this great secret. I believe that the reason He Li and his people burned themselves at the Great Round Tower was to erase all traces of the boys and girls entering the mountains and to protect this secret.”
Upon hearing this, You Liang was overjoyed and embraced Feng Juan, kissing her intimately.
After a while, the two became excited and removed Feng Juan's clothes, undressing themselves completely. They lay side-by-side facing each other, and You Liang lifted Feng Juan's jade-like legs and placed them on his body, revealing her beautiful private parts.
Feng Juan was only sixteen years old at the time, not yet fully developed. She had very little pubic hair between her legs, only at the tip of her labia. Her vulva was pink and tender, her anus a light brown, and her two plump, firm buttocks were incredibly alluring. You Liang, captivated, quickly grabbed her thighs, brought his face close, and gently inserted his tongue between her labia.
Feng Juan moaned softly, a surge of heat rushing down her body as her love juices gushed out. She couldn't help but open her mouth, taking You Liang's erect member into her mouth and sucking wildly.
Although You Liang had had six wives and concubines, this was his first time experiencing this, and he couldn't withstand it. After only two or three hundred strokes, he let out a low growl and ejaculated wildly.
Feng Juan first smelled a musky scent, then felt a surge of heat in her throat, knowing it was semen. She quickly swallowed it, while You Liang licked her vulva clean with his saliva.
After they had each released their pent-up desires, Youliang hurriedly grabbed her delicate feet to examine them. Sure enough, the bloodstains were gone, and he was overjoyed.
He turned Fengjuan around, held her naked in his arms, and they fell into a deep sleep.
He awoke in the middle of the night, feeling the soft, warm fragrance of the woman in his arms. Indulging in his desire, he rolled over and covered her beneath him, thrusting into her.
Fengjuan awoke, knowing that Youliang had deflowered her, and wrapped her arms around his neck, pressing her body against his. He thrust into her, making her moan softly, and she enjoyed a moment of pleasure.
The next morning, Duan Lingfeng brought her two younger sisters to congratulate Youliang and Fengjuan. Then Duan Lingfeng went down the mountain to buy clothes and shoes for her three newly adopted sisters, while Youliang taught them light-body skills.
Actually, in terms of martial arts foundation, the three barbarian women were not bad, but they were far inferior to Xu Youliang. It would be difficult to master light-body skills in just over ten days. So why did Youliang say it would only take over ten days? Firstly, Xu Youliang was in a hurry to reach Nanling to see if he could save a few more of his tribesmen. Secondly, these three barbarian women were skilled climbers, and he could use their skills to improve his abilities. Once they got out of this mountain ravine, no city wall could stop them, and they would be safe.
That night, Xu Youliang consummated his marriage with He Lizhen. The poison Lizhen used was also injected with a needle, inserted into the fold of skin below her left breast. If no one knew beforehand, no one would notice. The third day, it was Huang Mingfeng who used poison, but in the depression below her tailbone.
These two methods of detoxification differed from Mingfeng's, but they shared one common antidote: male semen. After three nights of this, Youliang finally understood. To consume male semen, oral sex was necessary, which was considered extremely lewd at the time. Women would never do it unless they truly loved the man. And unless a man was completely trusting and open with women, he wouldn't dare ask her to perform oral sex. For example, even if Cao Yunlong knew the antidote required male semen, would he dare put his penis in Kan Meiyun's mouth?
On the fourth day, Youliang asked Lingfeng to accompany him, praising her profusely and performing oral sex on her as before.
Duan Lingfeng didn't know there was such a method and was initially embarrassed, but after trying it, she found it novel and wonderful, and her resentment disappeared.
Ten days later, the three concubines, using a fraction of their lightness skill and full climbing ability, successfully climbed the cliff edge of the ravine. After several more days of practice, they could move up and down with incredible speed. Actually, when they were escorted from Zhennan Pass to the capital, the five barbarian women spent several hours each day on tiptoe, which honed their skills and strengthened their ankles, greatly benefiting their practice of light-body techniques.
Youliang was delighted and decided to take them out of the mountains the next day.
The three concubines were overjoyed, and Duan Lingfeng was also very happy. After lunch, under the blazing sun, the four women went to a gentle stream upstream to bathe.
The three young barbarian women were in their teens or twenties, in the prime of their youth, but when they saw Duan Lingfeng, although over thirty, she was radiant, with fair and delicate skin, no less than the three young women. Looking at her figure, tall and slender, with curves in all the right places, her two breasts full and firm, and her pubic hair as black as ink, they all felt inferior. It seemed the title of the most beautiful woman in the world was well-deserved.
The three concubines couldn't help but praise Lingfeng, making her happy and dispelling her previous jealousy.
Women love water, and the three concubines, delighted, began to playfully fight. Lingfeng, watching with a tingling desire, joined in, and water splashed everywhere.
After a while, they turned around and saw Xu Youliang sitting on a rock by the stream, smiling, watching the spectacle.
Although the four women had all been intimate with Youliang, they had never been seen like this in broad daylight, and they covered their private parts, their faces flushed.
Youliang, seeing their expressions, was pleased, waved his hand, and stood up and left. The four women, both ashamed and delighted, laughed and played again, occasionally glancing back to see if Youliang was peeking.
That night, Youliang had all four wives and concubines sleep in his cave. He rolled around among their bodies, embracing one and kissing the other, enjoying the bliss of having multiple wives.
The next day, the five of them left the mountain stream and headed west.
They had no particular purpose for their journey, so there was no need to rush. Disguised as wealthy merchants, they traveled by day and rested by night, slowly making their way west. In no time, they arrived at Feng County. Following the main road south, they passed through Tongzhen and then Zhuque Pass. At each stop, Xu Youliang recounted his past battles to his four wives and concubines.
In Zhuo County, seeing the two cities where he had been besieged years before, and hearing the story of Wang Bing framing Xu Youliang, only to be released out of righteousness, Duan Lingfeng was deeply moved. In front of her three sisters, she threw
herself into Youliang's arms. They continued their journey, sightseeing and reflection, until they reached the Panlong River ferry. Remembering how Zhao Fengzhu had kissed herself into the river to cover his escape, and then been impaled and displayed to the public, the image of Fengzhu's naked body pierced by a spear flashed before his eyes, and he couldn't help but weep. That was also the first time Duan Lingfeng had rescued him.
After crossing the ferry, they found a small inn nearby, and the five of them entered.
Halfway through the meal, the waiter approached and said, "Esteemed guest, my master invites you."
"I have no acquaintance with your family, why are you inviting me?"
"My master says that we are old acquaintances, you will know as soon as you arrive."
"In that case, please lead the way."
Youliang and his five companions followed the waiter to the back of the house, then exited through the back door, and walked more than two miles along a hidden path before finally seeing a manor, seemingly a very wealthy household, with the words "Liu Family Manor" written on the gate.
The waiter led Youliang into the courtyard and then into the main room. Suddenly, someone came out to greet them, kneeling and bowing: "Greetings, My Lord and My Lady."
Youliang recognized him as Guan Yuqing and understood. He asked, "Yuqing, what are you doing here?"
"After settling things at home, I came out to catch up with My Lord. When I arrived in the capital, I heard rumors that a man and a woman, two chivalrous heroes, had stormed the execution ground. I knew it was My Lord. I searched for several days near the capital without any news. Just when I was getting anxious, I met an old man with a sage-like appearance. He told me to wait here, saying that My Lord would arrive sooner or later. My Lord, can you guess who that old man was?" Yuqing said mysteriously.
"He is my uncle, Zhang Gui."
"Ah! So you knew!"
"I knew long ago that he hadn't died but had become an immortal. I just didn't know he would come looking for you."
Yuqing led Youliang into the house and introduced him to Liu Zhimin, the owner of the manor. It turned out that Liu Zhimin was also one of Youliang's former subordinates, having served as a clerk under Zheng Mingde.
Yu Qing then introduced his three newly acquired concubines to everyone, saying, "So the three ladies were rescued by our lord."
Feng Juan, who had already heard of Guan Yu Qing, hurriedly returned the greeting, saying, "General Guan, please don't say that. How could we dare to be called ladies?"
After the greetings, Liu Zhimin's servants prepared a banquet to welcome You Liang and his wife.
Speaking of future affairs, You Liang said, "Now that the world is unified and people yearn for stability, and we are outnumbered and outmatched, we should be patient, raise more children, and diligently practice our skills, rather than seeking immediate gratification."
Liu Zhimin said, "What our lord says is truly wise advice. General Guan has already told us this before. As the saying goes, a gentleman's revenge is never too late, even after ten years, let alone the revenge of a nation. If it doesn't work this year, we can try next year; if we fail, we can wait for our children and grandchildren. Sooner or later, we will succeed."
"That's exactly right,"
You Liang said, discussing the affairs of the world with Liu Zhimin and the others. After staying for a few days, Youliang wanted to leave. Liu Zhimin said, "Why is my lord in such a hurry to leave?"
Youliang said, "I want to go to Nanling to see if there are any remaining members of my clan hiding there. If I can save even one more, I will."
Liu Zhimin said, "That is indeed a matter of great importance. I heard from passing merchants that the South Three Passes are still closed. It is said that some remnants of the Nanling tribe have managed to escape, so they are being trapped outside the pass.
" Huang Mingfeng said, "As far as I know, among our twelve female generals, Kan Caijiao and my two elder sisters have not been captured. When I was imprisoned in the military town, I heard the government troops say that more than a month before we were captured, they led more than a hundred people out of Jiudaogou, and their whereabouts are still unknown."
"In that case, we should go and save them."
Yuqing said, "I will accompany my lord."
Liu Zhimin said, "I will go too."
Yuqing said, "Master Liu, you can leave. You don't have the skills to keep up with us." “
In that case, if my lord rescues them, they can be hidden in my manor; they will be safe.”
“That’s settled then.”
A day later, Youliang told the three Fengjuan sisters to stay at Liu Zhimin’s manor, while he, Duan Lingfeng, and Guan Yuqing headed towards Zhennan Pass.
Along the way, they heard nothing but news of killings at Zhennan Pass, supposedly twenty or thirty people had already been killed, all remnants of the Nanling tribes discovered during the search. Youliang and the others were anxious and used their lightness skills to hurry towards Zhennan Pass.
When they were almost at Zhennan Pass, they heard that the pass had been opened and people were allowed to pass, which meant that the remaining Nanling tribesmen had been captured, which was not good news.
It is unknown whether the surviving members of the Nanling tribesmen have been wiped out; we shall find out in the next chapter.

Chapter 39 of Imperial Closure: Ma Yuanbiao Sets a Trap to Capture the Female General, Captures the Garrison Commander, and Rescues the People.

Upon arriving at the pass, they saw a row of twenty or thirty flagpoles on the city wall, each carrying a female corpse. Judging from their figures and appearances, the corpses were all young girls. Each was hung upside down on a bamboo pole arranged in a "fire" shape, with a thick bamboo stick inserted through their vagina and out through their mouth, clearly indicating they had suffered the gruesome torture of piercing. Their abdomens had been cut open, their internal organs gone, leaving only a dozen or so empty shells. Judging from the color of their skin and flesh, they had all been thoroughly salted before being hung up.
You Liang, Ling Feng, and Yu Xin entered the pass. Although the soldiers on both sides stood with halberds, everything seemed normal. However,
strict checks were still being conducted at the south gate. Some people with a travel permit could enter, while others were subjected to body searches.
However, while men were searched openly on the street, women were searched indoors. First, their hands were tied to the ends of a thick bamboo pole on the street before being taken inside for a midwife to search them. Anyone found carrying knives or swords was immediately arrested.
Youliang inquired further and learned that since the gates opened, although many young women had been arrested, they were all eventually released, and no one had been killed. It seemed that no women from the tribe had passed through here.
The three stayed overnight at an inn, preparing to continue their journey the next day to explore the mountains and perhaps find some more Nanling tribespeople.
As soon as the gates opened in the morning, they left and headed south towards Nanling.
Arriving at the Nanling military town, they found a shop to rest and heard a commotion outside, people wanting to go to the town's south gate to witness a killing.
Youliang and the others were startled and quickly asked someone who knew the story. The person explained, and Youliang thought, "This trip will not have been in vain."
The killing that day began with Feng Xiaoyu's triumphant return. At that time, Feng Qing issued an imperial edict ordering Ma Yuanbiao to serve as a garrison commander at Zhennan Pass,
tasked with searching for the remaining rebels of the Nanling Mountains. Ma Yuanbiao then ordered the three passes to be closed to prevent passage and escape of the Nanling people. He then sent troops to search the mountains daily, finding twenty or thirty female soldiers, whom he had impaled and killed on the main street of Zhennan Pass. For a long time afterward, there were no further discoveries.
Ma Yuanbiao was anxious and consulted his advisor, Feng Qiyuan.
Feng Qiyuan said, "The garrison commander's strategy of closing the gate to catch the dog is good, but the house is too big. She's jumping around inside, so how can you catch her?"
"That's true." "
Now that the battle is over, the troops at Zhennan Pass can't search the mountains. It's like two people trying to catch a mouse in a big courtyard; even with the doors and windows tightly closed, they can't catch it. In my opinion, if she doesn't come to the door to die, the garrison commander won't be able to catch her." "
Yes."
"If you don't open the gate, how will she come to the door?"
"You mean..."
"Open Zhennan Pass and allow trade between the two sides. Those barbarians have been trapped for a long time. When they hear the gate is open, they will have to take the opportunity to escape. The garrison commander can then set a trap and capture them."
"But what if they leave?"
"Let the other barbarian women go. As long as you capture those three barbarian female generals, you can report your merit to the court."
"The Emperor has strictly ordered that not a single one be released."
"Commander, you've been too naive. There are orders from above and orders from below. The Emperor's orders? Does he know how many barbarians haven't been captured? He only knows the three with names. Just capture those three, and the rest are at her mercy."
Ma Yuanbiao, believing it to be Feng Qiyuan's plan, opened Zhennan Pass. He then sent soldiers who had participated in the Nanling battle and knew the three female generals to hide near the city gate and identify them one by one.
For the first few days, there was no movement. On the fifth day, although several barbarian women disguised as Han Chinese were captured, they were released after realizing they weren't the three female generals.
A few days later, several more barbarian women were seen crossing the pass. They weren't carrying weapons, so how could they be identified as barbarians? It turned out that during the body search, the midwives would carefully examine their shoulders and thighs. Han women wore long robes, covering their limbs, while barbarian women usually wore short robes, so in the sun, their skin showed a difference in color between the inside and outside of their clothing. But to avoid alerting the three female generals, they were all released.
The next day, the very day Xu Youliang and his group arrived, a group of a dozen or so barbarian women also managed to slip through the pass.
Ma Yuanbiao knew the big fish was about to take the bait.
Xu Youliang and his group were unaware of this, so as soon as the pass opened in the morning, they headed south, just missing Kan Caijiao, Huang Mingzhu, and Huang Mingyu, who were heading north.
This time, Huang Mingzhu and her group had brought all their resources—a total of forty-odd barbarian soldiers, divided into five groups. The first group of eight passed through smoothly; the third group of eight also passed through smoothly, so they began their own group. Kan Caijiao mingled with the third group of barbarian women, Huang Mingzhu with the fourth, and Huang Mingyu with the fifth.
In fact, Ma Yuanbiao had already recognized them. He had a foolproof plan: if the three of them had passed through in the same group, it would have saved a lot of trouble. Now that they were separated, he had to use a simpler method.
He had already deployed a large number of government troops, including cavalry, within two miles of the gate. Each soldier was equipped with ropes, and thick bamboo poles were laid out on the roadside. The women crossing the pass used these established passageways.
This group of nine barbarian women, along with a few ordinary women, were stopped as soon as they reached the gate. A group of government soldiers, armed with ropes, bound them one by one.
The government troops' binding and searching of people was not very regular; sometimes they bound five at a time, sometimes ten, but this time they bound twenty.
Kan Caijiao knew this was the standard procedure for searching; the sisters who had already crossed the pass had also been bound, so she did not resist and was bound as well.
At this moment, Ma Yuanbiao waved his command flag on the city wall. The government troops outside the pass, having received their orders, drew their swords and spears, pointing them at the women waiting to cross the pass.
The women were bewildered and even more frightened, their faces turning pale.
"The garrison commander has ordered that all those crossing the pass today be bound and searched one by one," a junior officer rode up on horseback and said.
Huang Mingzhu and Huang Mingyu were now trapped inside, unable to escape. Unarmed, they could only place their hopes on fate.
Ma Yuanbiao, on the city wall, saw that the three female generals were bound. He then gestured, and the soldiers shoved the bound Huang Mingyu and Huang Mingzhu to the city gate, where they stood with Kan Caijiao. He then descended the city wall, grinning maliciously before them: "Three female generals, what a stroke of luck! We've searched high and low, only to have them fall into our laps!"
"What did you say, sir?" Kan Caijiao feigned ignorance.
"Stop pretending. We've fought on the battlefield, who doesn't recognize whom? This garrison commander has been waiting for you for a long time."
"Sir, which one do you recognize? Don't mistake me for someone else." "
You're right, you're Kan Caijiao, you're Huang Mingyu, you're Huang Mingzhu, right?"
"My name is Chuntao, not Kan Caijiao."
"You'll know soon enough." Ma Yuanbiao ordered, "Quickly take the rest of the women into the house and search them. Search all the remaining Nanling barbarians and bring them here to see me." He also ordered, "Bring back all the barbarians who have already passed through!"
Before long, the female barbarian soldiers were dragged out of the house one by one, all of them stripped naked, standing in the street, their white skin glistening. The twenty barbarian women who had been released earlier had been spying nearby, unaware that they were being watched. As soon as the three female generals were captured, government troops appeared behind these barbarian women, twisted their arms, stripped them of their clothes, and then tied them up.
"Your name is Chun Tao, right? Not Kan Caijiao?" Seeing that everyone was present, Ma Yuanbiao withdrew his soldiers back into the city and ordered the gates closed. Then, he deliberately asked Kan Caijiao,
"My name is Chun Tao."
"Are you a barbarian or a Han Chinese?"
“I am Han Chinese.”
“What do Han Chinese wear?”
“Isn’t this what I’m wearing?”
“Then I’d like to see if you’re wearing a skirt or a tube skirt!”
Before Ma Yuanbiao finished speaking, he had already grabbed Kan Caijiao by the collar and was pulling at her belt with his other hand.
Kan Caijiao panicked and struggled while cursing, “You filthy scoundrel! I am a respectable woman, how can you do such a lewd thing in the street? Is there no law?”
But Ma Yuanbiao held her tightly, and two more soldiers came from behind, grabbed the ends of the thick bamboo pole, and forced her to raise her hands as if to surrender.
Without giving her a chance to speak, Ma Yuanbiao forcibly ripped open her belt and, with a “whoosh,” ripped her pants off in the street, revealing the sun marks from her tube skirt on her thighs.
“Well? What else do you have to say?” Ma Yuanbiao lewdly groped Kan Caijiao’s crotch.
The three female generals had no way to explain themselves at this point, and could only turn their heads to look at the sky, letting the soldiers strip them naked and tie them up in the street.
Ma Yuanbiao ordered a two-foot-long, two-inch-wide bamboo plank to be brought, and then ordered a wide bench to be placed in the street. He commanded two soldiers to drag Kan Caijiao onto the bench, making her lie face down, one holding her head and the other her feet, leaving only her buttocks exposed.
Ma Yuanbiao approached, raised the bamboo plank, and struck her buttocks. Kan Caijiao screamed in agony, her body twisting several times. Ma Yuanbiao ignored her, continuing to beat her indiscriminately. The sound of slapping echoed continuously, until she cried out in pain, her snow-white skin convulsing. After twenty strokes, her snow-white buttocks felt like they were on fire. Ma Yuanbiao
ordered Kan Caijiao to be dragged aside, and then Huang Mingyu was forced onto the bench and beaten as well.
Huang Mingyu was unwilling to be tortured easily and struggled with all her might, refusing to lie face down on the bench. Ma Yuanbiao became angry and ordered Huang Mingyu to be grabbed by the legs and lifted up, exposing her private parts. He then replaced the cane with a thin rattan one and began to beat Huang Mingyu in the groin.
Huang Mingzhu, struck by the blow, was in excruciating pain, screaming like a pig being slaughtered. After only ten blows, she was breathless from the agony and finally
stopped. Hearing that barbarian women had been captured in Guanzhong, Xu Youliang and his two companions rushed back.
Ma Yuanbiao was overjoyed but also extremely cautious. He already knew about the kidnapping of prisoners in the capital and didn't want the same thing to happen here. So, as soon as he captured the women, he ordered the city gates closed and the women taken to the small training ground in the city for execution.
Seeing the city gates closed, Xu Youliang was frantic. He quickly used his lightness skill to leap onto the city wall, jumped into the city, and inquired about the execution ground, which was located in the small training ground. He
then approached the small training ground from the rooftops. The small training ground was already heavily guarded, with hundreds of soldiers surrounding it in layers. The civilians watching the executions could only stand outside.
In the middle of the training ground, there were more than forty large benches, and more than forty female prisoners lay face down on them.
"Bring wooden plugs!"
"Yes, sir!" The soldiers responded, each bringing two round wooden sticks, each an inch in diameter and half a foot long. Everyone's attention was focused on the female prisoners' buttocks; no one noticed Ma Yuanbiao.
The soldiers spread the female prisoners' legs, ordering them to straddle the wooden benches, exposing their anuses and vulvas from behind. They parted the buttocks and inserted the wooden sticks into their anuses.
"Bring bamboo tips!"
The female prisoners, seeing the soldiers standing beside them with bamboo tips, and some having their labia parted to reveal their vulvas, were terrified and screamed incessantly.
Just as the soldiers took the bamboo tips and were about to insert them into the female prisoners' vulvas, Ma Yuanbiao cried out in alarm, "Stop!"
When everyone looked again, they saw Ma Yuanbiao sitting there, with three masked men standing beside him. Although they could tell there were two men and one woman, they couldn't recognize them.
A gleaming sword was pressed against Ma Yuanbiao's neck, terrifying him so much that he dared not move an inch.
"Untie the ropes quickly!" Ma Yuanbiao commanded.
Who dared disobey Ma Yuanbiao's orders? He was the commander of Zhennan Pass. So, the forty-odd girls were untied and helped up.
Once free, they immediately removed the wooden plugs from their anuses, then looked at the people on the platform from afar, unaware of what was happening.
"Quickly get them clothes to wear!"
A lieutenant general tried to ambush the man who had pressed his sword against Ma Yuanbiao's neck, but the woman turned and glared at him. The sharpness of that gaze was something the lieutenant general had never seen before; just that one glance terrified him, and he dared not move again.
Xu Youliang, holding Ma Yuanbiao captive, ordered him to prepare forty-odd warhorses. The three of them and the women each rode one, while Ma Yuanbiao walked the rest of the way.
After entering Zhennan Pass and walking twenty li, he said to Ma Yuanbiao, "General Ma, I had no choice but to do this to save my people. I apologize for the offense. If you return now, I'm afraid Feng Qing won't forgive you either. Why don't you just escape?"
"Alas! I've fought in the east and west, just to earn a living, but I never expected that after twenty years of hard work, I would have to return home to suffer poverty!" Ma Yuanbiao said angrily.
"When two countries are at war, each serves its own master. This is not my fault. Please leave."
After saying this, he led the women and galloped north.
What happens next? Let's find out in the next chapter.

Chapter 40 of Imperial Chapter 040 - An Zhong's Women Duan Lingfeng Acts as Matchmaker Again, Xu Youliang Teaches Martial Arts and Leaves a Root

It is said that Xu Youliang, Duan Lingfeng, and Guan Yuqing rescued more than forty barbarian women from Nanling. They rode north together and fled for over a hundred li before finding a crossroads to dismount. They drove the horses due north, while they led the women west into Pingling Mountain. Although the authorities found the warhorses, they couldn't find the whereabouts of the barbarian women.
Once inside the mountains, Xu Youliang and his group revealed their identities. The barbarian women were naturally filled with mixed emotions of sorrow and joy, bowing to their cave master and thanking him for saving their lives.
Duan Lingfeng knew that these barbarian women would definitely bring up the matter of keeping offspring with Xu Youliang. What would happen to them if Xu Youliang took all forty-odd girls? Therefore, she decided to make arrangements for them herself.
Thinking this, Duan Lingfeng said before anyone could speak, "Your cave masters already know about the plan to keep offspring established by the other cave masters of Nanling. Rest assured, sisters, you can rest assured about your lifelong happiness. Once you arrive and settle down, I will take care of everything." Hearing this, the barbarian women stopped mentioning it, still hoping to receive the cave master's favor.
Although Xu Youliang had acted without hesitation when saving them, he now had to consider the matter. While the women of Nanling were all beautiful, how could he possibly manage to take all forty-odd girls at once? Xu Youliang was by no means a man of cowardice.
The group traveled north along a narrow path in the mountains, neither venturing outside the mountains nor straying too far from them. Each day, they spent half a day being taught lightness skills and martial arts by Duan Lingfeng, and the other half practicing their lightness skills for an hour or two each way.
Seeing Duan Lingfeng's martial arts prowess, the women were filled with admiration. They learned and practiced as they walked, progressing even faster than when simply practicing.
After more than ten days, their lightness skills improved, and their pace quickened. Although they only walked for an hour a day, they could cover forty or fifty li (approximately 20-25 kilometers), reaching Nanyang Pass in the blink of an eye.
Remembering his promise to Liu Zhimin, Xu Youliang didn't want to enter the pass. So, under cover of night, he led the women across the main road in front of the pass and into the mountains east of Nanyang Pass.
This was very close to the Panlong River ferry; after a couple of days' walk, they arrived at Liu Family Village.
Upon seeing that Xu Youliang had rescued so many barbarian women, Liu Zhimin repeatedly expressed his admiration.
Fengjuan and her two sisters came out to pay their respects to Xu Youliang and Duan Lingfeng. They were overjoyed to see Kan Caijiao and the other two, asking them how they were doing and shedding tears of happiness.
Liu Family Village was a large village, and even a thousand or so people wouldn't be a big deal, let alone forty or so. They immediately settled the sisters in and then held a banquet to entertain them.
After all the mundane affairs were completed, Duan Lingfeng invited Xu Youliang, Guan Yuqing, Liu Zhimin, and the other barbarian women to the front hall. She then spoke, "Lingfeng has invited you all here today to fulfill a promise I made to my sisters. I learned from Sister Fengjuan that Nanling has devised various grand plans to preserve the entire clan. Now that you sisters have escaped the tiger's den, bearing children for Nanling is of paramount importance. Therefore, I have invited you all here today to discuss this matter."
Upon hearing this, the women blushed deeply and lowered their heads in silence. Guan Yuqing and Liu Zhimin, unaware of the reason, simply stared in disbelief.
Youliang hurriedly explained the grand plan devised by the various cave masters to everyone, then said, "Madam, you must already have a draft in mind. Please speak it aloud so we can all consider it."
Lingfeng said, "I think it's inappropriate to have so many sisters and have Cave Master Xu produce offspring for them all. Now that Xiaoyao has already taken three sisters—Fengjuan, Lizhen, and Mingfeng—three of the four major surnames of Nanling are already taken. Today, I will act as a matchmaker
for Xiaoyao and take General Caijiao as his fifth wife. In this way, the four surnames of Nanling will be complete. I wonder what Xiaoyao and General Caijiao think?" Youliang thought it was suitable. Kan Caijiao was overjoyed upon hearing this and burst into tears.
The other women felt a chill; it seemed their chances of becoming a cave master's concubine were over.
Lingfeng continued, "Since you two find it feasible, the marriage is settled. I also wish to act as matchmaker for General Guan and Master Liu, but there is a condition."
The two were taken aback: "Your Majesty wants to act as matchmaker for us? What is the condition?"
"General Guan already has Lady Bai Yushuang in his household, and she has borne you children. I wish to act as matchmaker for you and General Huang Mingzhu, but if she has a son in the future, the eldest son must bear the surname Huang to inherit the Nanling family line. Are you willing?"
"My lord and empress have shown me immense kindness, and I would give my life for them. I would go through fire and water for them, let alone for such a good opportunity. I wonder if General Huang would be willing to take a lower seat?"
Huang Mingzhu had personally witnessed Guan Yuqing's abilities and found him to be a dashing and debonair man. Although he and Xu Youliang were master and servant, he was still a man of exceptional talent. She hurriedly stood up and said, "I will leave it to you, Madam."
Duan Lingfeng then arranged for Huang Mingyu to be introduced to Liu Zhimin. Liu Zhimin, whose wife had recently passed away, was very pleased that Huang Mingyu would become the first wife upon entering the household.
Xu Youliang then asked, "The matters concerning the other sisters are still unresolved. What are your plans, Madam?"
"I have two options for you sisters to choose from. One is to stay with Master Liu. Most of the servants and guards here are former members of the Xiaoyao clan. The other is to come with us back to Xuanwu Pass. General Guan has also gathered many former members of the Xiaoyao clan there. Whichever one you choose, come to me, and I will act as matchmaker. Following the example of General Guan and Master Liu, when they give birth, one of their two sons will take the mother's surname. What do you all think?"
Youliang said, "That's a good idea. Most of those who escaped from Nanling already have a wife and concubine. They probably can't handle taking more wives and concubines. The servants here and the men in our mountains are all brave and valiant men, and there are quite a few single men. As long as they give birth to a son or daughter for Nanling and can inherit the Nanling lineage, that's enough. Why bother if they are Nanling clan members or not?"
"Exactly. Since our lord is the master of Nanling Cave, as long as they are former members of our lord, it's fine for them to be Nanling clan members." Yuqing chimed in.
The barbarian women, upon hearing this, thought it was a good idea. Being a first wife was better than being a concubine, especially since their own chieftain was making the decision, which didn't violate their initial agreement. So they all agreed.
The next day, Duan Lingfeng took charge of the arrangements for the three couples. She had the barbarian women help decorate the bridal chambers and asked Liu Zhimin to call out the single servants to help, giving them the opportunity to get to know each other. They quickly matched over a dozen couples, eliminating the need for a separate date. Taking advantage of Xu Youliang's and his two companions' joyous occasion, they also set up their own bridal chambers and married on the same day.
It was an auspicious day, and the village was filled with merriment. Xu Youliang and Kan Caijiao bowed to heaven and earth in the front hall. Afterwards, Caijiao was escorted to her bridal chamber. Then, Xu Youliang and Duan Lingfeng sat high in the front hall, watching Guan Yuqing, Liu Zhimin, and the dozen or so couples bow to heaven and earth.
Because Huang Mingzhu, Huang Mingyu, and Huang Mingfeng were sisters, Xu Youliang became brothers-in-law with Guan Yuqing and Liu Zhimin, further strengthening their relationship.
The whole village was filled with joy. After the wedding feast, each couple went to their respective bridal chambers.
Duan Lingfeng first led Feng Juan and her two sisters to offer their congratulations. After watching Liang and Kan Caijiao perform the nuptial ceremony, Kan Caijiao paid her respects to her four elder sisters (in matters of marriage, first impressions are always paramount, regardless of age; although Feng Juan was only sixteen and Kan Caijiao was already seventeen, she still had to address Feng Juan as elder sister. Feng Juan was the youngest of the four sisters, yet she was ranked second, mainly because of her relationship with the Fengyi sisters and their different statuses—but that's another story). Everyone laughed and joked for a while. Before leaving, Feng Juan whispered something in Cai Jiao's ear. Cai Jiao blushed deeply and feigned anger, saying, "Second Sister, you're so naughty."
Xu Youliang closed the door, took a lamp, and returned to the bedside. Kan Cai Jiao said shyly, "Master, there's no need for the lamp. I am of humble birth and dare not presume to be seen by you."
Youliang didn't care about such things. He held the lamp and looked at her. Although she was still not as beautiful as Duan Lingfeng, she was not far from being as beautiful as Feng Juan and the other two. She was young, beautiful, and full of spring.
Youliang was delighted. He put the lamp aside, sat on the bed, and embraced Kan Cai Jiao, kissing her gently until she was weak and limp on him. He then gently removed her wedding dress, took off her bodice, and pulled down her lower garment, revealing her exquisitely sculpted body.
You Liang asked, "Where did you apply the poison?"
Kan Caijiao was about to speak when she heard You Liang's question. She wasn't surprised and buried her head in You Liang's chest, whimpering, "Here." As she spoke, she took You Liang's hand and lowered it between her legs.
You Liang asked, "You didn't apply it inside, did you?"
"No, it's on the perineum."
You Liang then placed her on the bed. Caijiao, blushing, turned over and knelt on the bed, raising her beautiful buttocks.
Upon closer inspection, You Liang saw a pink chrysanthemum-like opening and two white labia between her buttocks. Sure enough, between the chrysanthemum and the perineum, there was a red dot, like the tip of a needle.
You Liang asked, "How do you cure this poison?"
"For men, use saliva externally on the whole body, and take the yang essence internally."
You Liang only knew that the yang essence had to be taken internally, but this time, the saliva was used externally on the whole body.
Without any hesitation, he immediately embraced her snow-white body and began licking it. After licking her limbs, he licked her torso, finally holding her lower half, burying his head between her jade legs, and gently licking her beautiful cave. He felt a clear spring slowly flowing from that cave, and her jade body trembled slightly.
When Kan Caijiao saw that he had finished licking, she hurriedly got up and said, "Master, please sit down. Let me serve you." After saying that, she was about to get off the bed, but Youliang hurriedly said, "No need to get off the bed." Saying that, he lay down on his back, his penis standing straight up. When
Caijiao saw this, she was both attracted and afraid. She knelt on Youliang's body and bent down to suckle his treasure.
When Youliang saw that her beautiful private parts were right in front of him, he reached down with one hand to touch her jade breasts and gently knocked on her entrance with the other, enjoying the ultimate pleasure in the world.
The wonderful details are not described in detail. You, the readers, can guess for yourselves. In short, in the dozen or so bridal chambers, all kinds of wonderful techniques were performed at the same time. Unfortunately, only the families themselves knew the secrets of each family's skills.
From then on, Xu Youliang had one wife and four concubines, enjoying the pleasures of having multiple wives. Guan Yuqing also gained Bai Yushuang and Huang Mingzhu as companions.
A few days later, Youliang and Duan Lingfeng set off northwards, with Guan Yuqing and Huang Mingzhu following to protect them. More than twenty barbarian women who were willing to go to Baima Mountain with Youliang bid farewell to Liu Zhimin and embarked on their journey home.
The journey was uneventful, and they had already passed Beigucheng Pass. Further ahead was Xuanwu Pass.
On this day, they continued northwards, passing a village that Youliang had passed through before and knew was called Yu Family Village. The once large village was now reduced to rubble. In a large pit beside the village, countless corpses floated, including men, women, and children. The men were all headless, and the women were naked, their bodies swollen and stinking.
Xu Youliang said, "This must be the work of an enemy. But who has the ability to slaughter an entire village? They are too ruthless. Now that I have encountered them, I will not let them go easily." He
then told Lingfeng to lead the women to rest and wait in the roadside woods, while he and Guan Yuqing went to investigate the situation nearby.
An hour later, the two returned, their faces ashen, their anger still burning. Lingfeng and the others rushed over to inquire.
What caused Xu Youliang's anger? We'll find out in the next chapter.
