It all started with a beautiful mistake. Miao Ri Chen Jun and Zi Sha Xian Zi were falsely accused of having an affair and banished to the mortal realm. But becoming mortal means enduring the cycle of reincarnation!

Although he was always surrounded by beauties, his obese and sluggish body was a constant burden… Will Miao Ri Chen Jun, determined to lose weight, succeed? … Meanwhile, Zi Sha Xian Zi, also banished to the mortal realm, has disappeared without a trace. Will the two ever meet again…?

Chapter 1: The Heaven of Separation and Sorrow

The story in this book begins in the heavens. This heaven is all-encompassing; it contains all things in the world, but in essence, it can be summarized by the concepts of Yin and Yang. Daytime is Yang, nighttime is Yin; warmth and vitality are Yang, cold and murderous are Yin. Therefore, the gods in heaven are divided into two factions: Yang gods and Yin gods.

The Yang gods advocate creating the earth and nurturing all things, paying particular attention to human happiness and safety. The Yin gods advocate destroying the earth and annihilating all things, especially hating humanity and determined to exterminate them. These two factions, due to their differing viewpoints, are absolutely incompatible, like water and fire, ice and charcoal, constantly clashing—a conflict that has never ceased since the beginning of time.

The supreme Jade Emperor can only waver between the two factions. Although his inclination leans towards the Yang gods, because the heavenly order cannot exist without Yin, the human world cannot exist without day and night, living beings cannot exist without death, and all things cannot exist without destruction, he is powerless against the Yin gods.

Therefore, since the beginning of human history, periods of order and chaos have always been intertwined. The Yang God faction, gaining power, dispatched many benevolent deities to the mortal realm, bringing peace and order. The Yin God faction, enraged, sent their demonic gods to wreak havoc, causing widespread chaos and death. The

Yang God faction, unable to tolerate this, sent even more powerful deities to govern the world. This cycle repeated itself endlessly, resulting in a constant alternation between order and chaos, unity and division. Thus, humanity is filled with joys and sorrows, triumphs and tribulations. Are the celestial beings without suffering? Indeed, they are. Heaven is shrouded in celestial mists, with jade palaces and pavilions, offering everything imaginable—it's incredibly wonderful.

However, even celestial beings have ranks; the so-called nine grades of immortals represent this very concept. Aside from the Jade Emperor, the Primordial Heavenly Lord, and the Supreme Lord Laozi—highly powerful and disciplined immortals—all other deities must constantly cultivate, maintaining their immortal and Daoist hearts in order to advance to higher ranks. They must also guard against losing their immortal hearts due to laxity, lest they fall back into the mortal world and experience the joys and sorrows, the cycle of birth and death.

However, this is easier said than done. For lower-ranking immortals, the celestial environment is far too ideal, making it incredibly difficult to maintain purity and a diligent Daoist heart. How wonderful is celestial? It defies description in human terms. In Buddhism, the West refers to celestial. Buddhist scriptures describe it as a place of shimmering clouds, golden splendor, and fragrant aromas—truly wonderful. Therefore, despite the many wise and virtuous individuals in the mortal realm who cultivate to become immortals, the number of immortals in celestial realms remains constant, rather than increasing.

As the saying goes, "It's easier to conquer a country than to govern it."

This saying is particularly apt when applied to deities. Although the circumstances differ, the principle remains the same. Because of their excessive happiness, some celestial beings gradually become complacent and neglect their cultivation. As a result, some of them develop greed, anger, and lust. Their spiritual cultivation has diminished, and they can no longer remain in heaven, so they are forced to descend to the mortal realm. However, because they are deities, even though they lose their magical powers and memories on earth, their exceptional innate qualities allow them to become influential figures who shape and influence human history. Thus, human society and heaven are inextricably linked.

The story begins in an unknown season. One day, a celestial being from a small star in the heavens, named Miao Ri Chen Jun, opened his eyes. He hadn't woken up for an unknown amount of time, but he hadn't been asleep either. He had spent tens of thousands of years in a state between wakefulness and wakefulness, cultivating his immortal arts. He was the lowest-ranking immortal. Although his name contained the character for "sun," he dared not compare himself to the Sun God, a great deity. He was merely a small star, or, to be precise, just a luminous stone. Upon

waking, he felt his magical power had increased considerably, but after testing it, he found it wasn't that great. His transformation technique had only increased by one, allowing him to transform six times a day. However, compared to ordinary immortals who could transform twelve times a day, he was still half as powerful. He felt listless; after so much cultivation, he hadn't made much progress. It seemed that it would be a long time before he could shed the title of a low-ranking immortal.

He had been in a daze since waking up, staring at the Milky Way before him, its silvery light shimmering brilliantly. But he was already used to it and found it uninteresting. He got up and wandered around. There were many places to visit in the heavens, but he didn't know whether they were good or bad. He just looked and that was it, without any particular thought in his mind. This was the advantage of being a god—no worries, but also no joys. In that state of emptiness, everything seemed illusory.

The Lord of the Vast Sun wandered aimlessly. Tens of thousands of years had passed, and the heavens hadn't changed much. Some gods were playing chess there, a game that had been going on for who knows how long. He watched, seeing their slow, unhurried, and uninteresting game, and finding it rather dull, he grew bored and walked away. Suddenly, he remembered a small star, Sesame Star Lord, who was also a low-ranking immortal on the other side of the Milky Way. They had chatted before, and perhaps because of their similar circumstances, they got along quite well. He wondered how Sesame Star Lord was doing now. Why not go and see him?

Miao Richenjun thought of it and left. When he arrived at the home of Sesame Star Lord, he found everything completely different. The place was empty, with nothing at all. He couldn't help but wonder, "Could I have remembered wrong?"

He searched around, but all he saw were large stars, the abodes of gods of higher rank than himself. Where was there a small star? He couldn't find one, so he mustered his courage and asked a large star. The god sneered and said, "You mean him? That tiny little star? He broke the heavenly rules and was banished to the mortal realm."

After saying that, he closed his eyes and ignored him.

Losing interest in the conversation, Miao Richen sighed and headed home, thinking to himself, "Sesame Star Lord is truly pitiful. Although he's a low-ranking immortal in heaven, he's still an immortal! He doesn't experience the joys and sorrows, the pains of birth, old age, sickness, and death. This time, he's been banished to the mortal realm to suffer the torments of reincarnation. It's so unfair and tragic. There are too many evils in the mortal world to list. In short, he's had

a terrible stroke of bad luck." Lost in thought, Miao Richen flew home, but in his distraction, he took the wrong path. When he realized where he was, he had no idea. A sense of panic crept in. As a low-ranking immortal, he knew there were rules in heaven, and someone of his status couldn't just wander around aimlessly. Just then, he heard a captivating song coming from afar. The song was ethereal and beautiful, drawing him involuntarily to follow its sound.

Amidst the swirling clouds and mist, a stunningly beautiful fairy bathed in the Milky Way. Her skin, white as snow, shone above the water, dazzling even the Sun God. Her flowing hair, dripping with water, added to the breathtaking scene. But what truly captivated him was the fairy's song. The melody was melodious, gentle, and enchanting, truly enchanting and making his soul wander. The song went: "The sky is clear, the earth is vast and boundless, all things return to their origin, the vast sky stretches endlessly, I ride a raft lightly beside the sun, where shall I go to the ends of the earth, my heart knows no boundless joy."

Miao Ri Chen Jun stared at the fairy, mesmerized. Though the view was blurry, he couldn't make out the details, but he felt her beauty was unparalleled, and he couldn't bear to look away. Her shapely figure possessed a captivating power, and Miao Ri Chen Jun's heart pounded.

He knew that peeping at a fairy bathing was a violation of heavenly rules, but a desire rose within him, making it impossible to leave even a step! He involuntarily moved forward a few steps.

Filled with fear and excitement, Miao Ri Chen Jun watched. The fairy's skin was fair and delicate, her face exquisite. Miao Ri Chen Jun had never seen anything like it before, and he was completely mesmerized. Just

as he was lost in his reverie, he suddenly saw the fairy quickly put on her clothes and then shout, "Who's there? Come out now, or I'll cast a spell!"

Miao Ri Chen Jun was terrified, his soul nearly leaving his body, and he was about to leave. Then a deity emerged from the pile of stones ahead, laughing heartily, and said, "Purple Gauze Fairy, it's me, the Fiery God!"

The Purple Gauze Fairy angrily shouted, "How dare you come here to peep at me bathing! You've violated the celestial rules, and I'll report you to the Jade Emperor!"

The Fiery God grinned and said, "Why are you angry, Fairy? I was cultivating here, and who knew you'd not even look before taking off your clothes? Did you take a fancy to me and try to seduce me so we could get intimate? Haha!"

The Purple Gauze Fairy cursed him as shameless and flew away.

The Fiery God quickly stopped her, saying, "Where are you going?"

The Purple-Veil Fairy's beautiful eyes widened, and she said, "Naturally, I'm going to the Jade Emperor to complain about you! You've violated the Heavenly Laws, and the Jade Emperor will banish you to the mortal realm. Let's see if you're still so arrogant then!"

The Fiery God's expression suddenly changed, and he shouted, "You wretched woman, it's your good fortune that I've taken a liking to you, yet you dare to refuse and even complain about me. Let's see how you go about it!"

With that, a burst of flame erupted from his palm and burned towards the Purple-Veil Fairy.

The Purple-Veil Fairy hadn't expected the Fiery God to be so unscrupulous. She had only intended to intimidate him and make him kowtow and admit his mistake, but who would have thought he would be so audacious as to attack her so rudely?

The Purple-Veil Fairy quickly dodged, but the flame circled around and flew back to attack her.

The Purple-Veil Fairy had no choice but to remove a jade bracelet from her right hand, muttering something softly. Suddenly, the bracelet enlarged, and the flames flew into it and disappeared.

The Fiery God sneered, "Look at your delicate appearance, I didn't expect you to have some skills. Let's see how you withstand this!"

With that, he spewed out a ball of raging fire, which swelled rapidly in the wind, burning towards the Purple-Clad Fairy from all directions.

The Purple-Clad Fairy paled and hurriedly tried to fly away, but the fire was incredibly fast, chasing after her and getting closer and closer. Just as it was about to reach her, the Purple-Clad Fairy quickly threw out her jade bracelet. The bracelet suddenly grew larger and began to absorb the fire, but there was too much fire, and suddenly, with a bang, the jade bracelet was burned in two. The fire continued its relentless onslaught.

The Purple-Clad Fairy was so frightened that she fell from the sky and landed in the river. As soon as her head emerged from the water, she saw the Fiery God standing on the surface, smiling at her.

The Purple-Clad Fairy screamed in terror, as if she had seen a demon from the ninth level of hell. The Fiery God grabbed her hair and lifted her up. The Purple-Veil Fairy twisted her body, crying and cursing, "You demon, let me go!"

She had no intention of using her divine power to resist. She usually cultivated without ever thinking of using divine magic in combat, and for a moment, she couldn't recall the many spells and magical treasures she possessed for killing enemies.

The Fiery God's face was ferocious. He placed the Purple-Veil Fairy by the riverbank, and seeing her pale, wet fairy robes clinging to her snow-white skin, revealing her curves, he was

overcome with lust. With a roar, he pounced on the Purple-Veil Fairy, simultaneously tearing at her clothes with his right hand. The Purple-Veil Fairy was terrified, screaming and flailing her arms and legs, but the Fiery God was incredibly strong and powerful; her punches were like tickles to him.

The Fiery God, his eyes bloodshot, sneered, "Once you taste the good flavor, you'll like it. You might even become inseparable from me, haha. My beauty, you'd better behave!"

Just then, a thunderclap boomed, and a bolt of lightning struck the Fiery God, sending him tumbling into the water. At the same time, the Purple-Veil Fairy was pulled up by the arm and lifted into the air. She heard someone say, "Fairy, don't cry! Let's fly quickly! That villain will be here soon!"

The Purple-Veil Fairy saw a lowly deity in gray clothes pulling her through the air. Although still terrified, the thought of escape instantly snapped her back to reality. She immediately used her magic to fly, soon leaving the lowly deity behind. Suddenly, she heard a booming sound behind her and turned to see the lowly deity and the Fiery God fighting, each unleashing their magic.

The Purple-Veil Fairy paused for a moment, then hurriedly flew back to pull the little immortal back. He exclaimed, "Fairy, quickly use heavenly lightning to blast him! Your magic power is far greater than mine, why aren't you using it?"

The Purple-Veil Fairy then cried out in surprise, realizing what he meant, and immediately unleashed her magic power, indiscriminately bombarding the Fiery God with heavenly lightning.

The Purple-Veil Fairy and the Fiery God were both third-rank immortals with roughly equal magical power. With this chaotic barrage, the Fiery God was immediately sent flying backward.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, the Purple-Veil Fairy and the little immortal quickly fled.

In the distance, a place shrouded in mist revealed a tall and solemn gatehouse. The little fairy whispered, "Fairy, let's hurry there! That's the residence of Laozi—the Palace of Separation from Sorrow. We're saved!"

The two fairies flew into the Palace of Separation from Sorrow. In the midst of the chaos, the Purple-Gauze Fairy saw an old Taoist priest with white hair and beard and rushed towards him, crying, "Laozi, save me! A demon is trying to insult me! Please, do justice!"

The little fairy also said, "Yes! He's almost here! Immortal

, please save us!" Laozi said, "Such a demon should be dealt with by the Jade Emperor! Please come with me. Hide quickly, and we can punish that demon before the storm passes."

Saying this, he pulled the two fairies to the alchemy furnace, pointed to one, and told them to go inside.

The Purple-Gauze Fairy and the little fairy squeezed inside. The furnace was small, and the two of them were so close together that there wasn't even room to put their hands. The Purple-Veil Fairy naturally reached out and placed her hand on the little fairy's arm. The little fairy was stunned to see that her jade-like hands were like solidified cream and that there was a faint fragrance in them.

Suddenly, the Purple-Veil Fairy asked, "May I ask which deity you are?"

The little deity replied, "I am Miao Ri Chen Jun, a lowly immortal of the ninth rank, not worth mentioning."

The Purple-Veil Fairy smiled and said, "Thank you for saving me."

Miao Ri Chen Jun was captivated by her smile, which exuded charm and grace. Her long, flowing hair flowed smoothly, and she possessed an indescribable elegance and nobility. He stammered, "You are the most beautiful woman in the Heavenly Realm."

The Purple-Veil Fairy was taken aback by his impolite words, but she was not angry. Just as she was wondering how to respond, she heard a noise outside and quickly said, "Shh, don't speak!"

It turned out that the Fiery God had seen the Purple-Veil Fairy and the little deity rush into a palace. From afar, he saw the three large characters "Li Hen Gong" (Palace of Parting Sorrow) on the plaque above. He knew it was the palace of the Supreme Lord Laozi. He secretly groaned, but now that there was no way out, he gritted his teeth and forced his way in.

The Fiery God found nothing elsewhere, finally arriving at the incense-filled alchemy furnace. There sat an old Taoist priest with white hair, eyebrows, and beard, sitting on a futon with his eyes closed. The priest said, "Fiery God, what brings you to this old Taoist's place?"

The Fiery God replied, "Immortal, two celestial beings, a man and a woman, have violated the heavenly rules and are having an affair. I came to capture them, but they escaped. I saw them flee into your palace, so I came to apprehend them. If you see them, please enlighten me."

The Supreme Lord Laozi said, "I did not see them. No other immortals have been here for tens of thousands of years."

The Fiery God said, "Perhaps Laozi didn't see it! I'll look for it myself!"

Before Laozi could reply, he looked around.

The Purple-Veil Fairy, inside the alchemy furnace, heard everything clearly and inwardly groaned. Suddenly, her lips tightened; the Sun God's large mouth loomed over her. The Purple-Veil Fairy tried to dodge, but there was nowhere to go! With a powerful enemy nearby, she dared not make a sound, and was instantly kissed. At first, she was somewhat unwilling, but after a while, she became immersed in the sensation, thinking, "So this is what it feels like!"

She had completely forgotten about being pursued.

The two immortals, deeply in love and inseparable, suddenly heard someone outside calling, "Come out quickly! He's gone!"

The two immortals then snapped out of their reverie, their faces flushed, and emerged one after the other. Having tasted the sweetness of love for the first time, both were deeply moved, exchanging smiles, their eyes revealing a lingering affection.

Laozi said, "Let's go! I'll take you to the Jade Emperor to lodge a complaint."

Miao Ri Chen Jun said, "Then please, Immortal, you must uphold justice for us! Don't listen to that demon's slander."

Laozi laughed, "Don't worry. I'm an old acquaintance of Fairy Zi Sha, so I naturally know her nature."

After saying this, he led Fairy Zi Sha and Miao Ri Chen Jun to see the Jade Emperor.

Upon arriving at the Jade Emperor's palace, they saw the Fiery God already kneeling in the main hall. Miao Ri Chen Jun and Fairy Zi Sha were furious. Kneeling down, they recounted the events, denouncing the Fiery God's crimes and begging the Jade Emperor to punish this demon.

The Jade Emperor said, "You have this claim, but the Fiery God says you two are having an affair. What's the truth? Laozi, since you were involved, you should judge this matter!"

Laozi replied, "Well… I wasn't there at the time. I only saw the Fiery God chasing the two immortals. Well then, regardless of who's right or wrong, it's all a karmic debt of love and resentment. Since we don't know the truth and there was no fourth party present, Jade Emperor, you should judge them all as having violated heavenly rules and punish them by sending them to the mortal realm!"

The Jade Emperor said, "Very well, let's do as Laozi says. Come! Immediately send the three of them to the mortal realm. Whether they can return to the celestial realm is up to their fate."

A group of heavenly soldiers came and bound the three.

The Purple-Veil Fairy cried, "Jade Emperor, I don't care how you punish me, but Lord Miao Ri Chen is truly innocent."

The Jade Emperor said, "Seeing your deep affection, I don't think you've been wronged at all."

With a wave of his hand, heavenly soldiers dragged the three of them away.

Upon arriving at the Descending Immortal Platform in Heaven, Laozi came to Lord Miao Ri Chen's side. Miao Ri Chen Jun roared, "You old Taoist priest, why did you harm us? Harming me is one thing, but Fairy Zi Sha is an old acquaintance of yours, and she's pure and kind. Why did you harm her?"

Tai Shang Lao Jun chuckled, "Who said I harmed you? The mortal world is a wonderful place, incredibly prosperous. You went there to enjoy yourself."

Miao Ri Chen Jun said, "Nonsense! The mortal world has joys and sorrows, birth, old age, sickness, and death. It's the most painful and difficult thing. How can it compare to the carefree life of immortals?"

Tai Shang Lao Jun smiled, "Can immortals have lovers? Can they enjoy the pleasures of love between men and women? Don't you want to be with Fairy Zi Sha?"

Miao Ri Chen Jun was stunned, realizing he had hit the nail on the head.

Laozi handed him a pill, saying, "Hold it in your mouth and bite down hard. This way, you can retain some memories and magical power in your reincarnations. Don't let go and speak."

Before Miao Ri Chen Jun could ask about the Purple Silk Fairy, two heavenly soldiers approached and shouted, "The time has come, Miao Ri Chen Jun. It's time for you to go to the mortal realm."

They stepped forward to take him away. Miao Ri Chen Jun quickly put the pill in his mouth, but before he could say anything, he was suddenly thrown off the celestial realm.

Chapter Two: Entering the Crimson Gate by

Mistake Miao Ri Chen Jun felt as if he were floating on clouds, his body spinning, his head growing increasingly dizzy. But he remembered Laozi's words and tightly bit down on the pill. However, the pill shrank smaller and smaller until it disappeared completely, and Miao Ri Chen Jun fainted.

He didn't know how much time had passed—perhaps several hours, years, or even thousands of years—when Miao Ri Chen Jun suddenly regained consciousness. He felt a pain in his right ear and snapped awake. At the same time, he heard a clear voice calling in his ear, "You fat pig, get up now! If you don't get up, I'll twist your ear off!"

When Miao Ri Chen Jun opened his eyes, he saw a pretty face, both happy and annoyed, appear before him. It was a stunningly beautiful fairy. Miao Ri Chen Jun exclaimed in surprise, "Zi Sha, is that you? Where are we?"

The fairy chuckled, "You pig-headed fool, spouting nonsense again! What Zi Sha, Lan Sha? It's rare that you, usually so muddle-headed, can always come up with some strange and wonderful things." Only

then did Miao Ri Chen Jun see clearly that the fairy before him had eyes like pools of water, and delicate willow-leaf eyebrows that slanted slightly upwards, possessing an indescribable charm, quite different from the Zi Sha fairy. Miao Richenjun hurriedly said, "I'm sorry, I misread it. May I ask what your name is, fairy sister? Where is this place?"

The fairy was stunned for a moment, then giggled and turned around, calling out, "Sister Nuanyu, come quickly! Listen to what this fool is calling me."

He laughed and called out, but couldn't catch his breath and coughed, clutching his chest.

At this moment, a woman walked in. She had an apricot-shaped face, was gentle and sweet, and extremely beautiful. She said, "Xiaoyu, can't you just obediently dress the young master and get him out of bed? It's always like this. How long will this go on?"

Xiaoyu said, "Sister, you know when he's ever willing to get up. Every time, I have to coax and scold him to get him to eat. Getting him to walk even a few steps is harder than killing him. He's already fatter than a pig. If this continues, I think he'll really turn into a pig, worthy of his surname!"

Miao Richenjun didn't know who this fairy named Xiaoyu was talking about and was very puzzled. Turning around, he saw a spacious and bright room, lavishly furnished, and wondered where he was.

He heard Nuanyun frown and say, "You brat, you're getting more and more outrageous! How dare you utter such treasonous words? Luckily, I heard you. If someone else had heard and reported it to Madam, would you even want to live?"

Xiaoyu quickly stood up with a smile and said, "There are no outsiders here! I treat you like my own sister, what's wrong with saying a few nonsense words?"

Nuanyun said, "You're still not allowed to say that. How can we maids do as we please?"

The two spoke sweetly, making Miaori Chenjun quite... Confused, he found an opening and asked, "Two fairy sisters, may I ask where this place is? Could you tell me first?"

Xiao Yu chuckled and said, "Sister, look at this idiot..."

Nuan Yun smiled slightly, then said to Xiao Yu, "Don't laugh." She then

went to Miao Ri Chen Jun and said softly, "Young master, is this your home? Have you forgotten again?"

Miao Ri Chen Jun was startled and looked down to find himself lying on the bed, covered with a thin, gauze-like, but exceptionally warm blanket.

Miao Ri Chen Jun struggled to get up, saying, "What do you mean, my home? Where do I have a home? I am Miao Ri Chen Jun, I am a god! Isn't this the celestial realm?"

But his body felt as heavy as a thousand pounds, and he couldn't move.

Nuan Yun saw this and quickly helped him sit up slowly. Seeing Xiao Yu still chuckling, she scolded, "Why aren't you going to pour water for the young master? What are you gloating about?"

Xiao Yu stuck out his tongue and went away.

Nuanyun said softly, "Young Master! Have you forgotten who you are again! Your surname is Zhu, your given name is Chuanzong, and your courtesy name is Jiedai. Your nickname is Bao'er. We servants usually call you Young Master Bao. Do you remember that? If you forget it and Madam asks about it later, she will not only punish you but also Nuanyun. So please remember, okay?"

Miao Richenjun sat up and looked at his arms, which were as thick as stone pillars in the celestial realm, three times thicker than his original arms. Miao Richenjun hurriedly lifted the quilt, only to see that his thighs were even thicker, as if... Like two large buckets, he suddenly remembered what happened in the Heavenly Realm and realized what had happened. With a sob in his voice, he said, "Could this be the mortal world? Have I been reincarnated? But why am I so unlucky to have turned into a fat pig?"

He struggled to get out of bed and came to a mirror. He saw that the person in the mirror had small eyes, only a slit was visible, and the rest of his face was full of fat. Although he was not short, he was round like a bucket and looked like he weighed two or three hundred pounds. This ugly appearance made Miao Ri Chen Jun feel ashamed to death.

Miao Richenjun sat down on the ground, crying, "How did I become like this? Why am I so fat? I look awful!"

At this moment, Xiao Yu arrived and said, "Strange, when did you stop looking like this? Hmm, at least you're ashamed today. You're finally somewhat sensible."

Nuan Yun said, "Xiao Yu, didn't you see that Young Master is different today? Can't you say less?"

Nuan Yun said to Miao Richenjun, "Come on, Young Master, get up! The ground is cold. What's wrong with being a little fat? No matter how fat you are, you're still our Young Master. Master, Madam, and Grandmother still love you." Miao Richenjun

also came to his senses at this moment. Although he was angry about being born into a fat pig, it was irreversible, so he could only accept his fate. Fortunately, he had a beautiful and gentle maidservant by his side to comfort him, which was a stroke of luck. He said, "You say no one dislikes me? I'm not so desperate that no one cares about me and I'm about to starve to death?"

Xiao Yu giggled and said, "Starve to death?"

Nuan Yun rolled her eyes at Xiao Yu and said, "No, we have so many maidservants to serve you! You can have whatever you want to eat. Get up and eat! Are you hungry?"

Miao Ri Chen Jun then realized that his stomach was rumbling and said, "Yes, my stomach hurts."

Nuan Yun said, "Alright, be a good girl and get dressed, then we'll go eat."

Xiao Yu came over to help, and the two women used all their strength to help him up and get dressed. At this time, a maidservant brought in the food, and Miao Ri Chen Jun wolfed it down.

Miao Ri Chen Jun ate two pounds of meat pies, a bucket of porridge, a pound of beef, and countless vegetables before he was done.

After finishing his meal, Miao Richen felt a wave of weariness wash over him. "I'm so tired, I want to sleep," he said.

Xiao Yu said, "Look at you, I told you you were being good today! You've already shown your true colors. Don't sleep, let's go for a walk."

Nuan Yun said, "Young Master, go play with Xiao Yu and the others. You can't sleep right after eating, or your health will collapse."

Miao Richen then remembered, thinking, "No wonder I'm so fat, so that's why."

But even though he thought this, his body was extremely tired. He thought, "I only became a human today, I must not be used to it yet. I'll be used to it by tomorrow, I should rest for a while today."

So he said, "I was only reincarnated today, let me rest for a few days, then I'll be fine. I'm a reincarnated deity, I'll definitely be able to turn back into my original form later. " "Although I, Little Immortal, am not exactly handsome, I am still quite dashing!"

Xiao Yu laughed, "This fool, he's actually boasting. But you're making excuses again, you always have a reason! Will you only listen if I use the Great Southern Kingdom to beat you?"

Nuan Yun also said, "Young Master Bao, be good, this matter is not my concern. If you don't listen to Xiao Yu, I can't help you when she beats you."

Miao Ri Chen Jun said, "I'm not lying, I really only reincarnated today! Of course I'm not used to your mortal body."

Xiao Yu laughed, "This fool always uses strange and bizarre words, I don't know who taught him. It seems you won't move unless I use the Great Southern Kingdom."

After saying that, she took a big stick and hit Miao Ri Chen Jun on the back.

Miao Ri Chen Jun felt the pain and quickly stood up. Xiao Yu pushed and dragged him out of the room. Miao Ri Chen Jun came outside and saw pavilions, terraces, small bridges and rockeries, a beautiful scene. It was quite different from the scenery in the sky.

Miao Richenjun gazed at the sky for a while, then looked up at the heavens. The sky stretched endlessly, a vast expanse of blue, and he was momentarily lost in thought.

Suddenly, a chattering sound arose, and four little maids appeared out of nowhere. Though not as beautiful as Nuanyun and Xiaoyu, each possessed her own unique charm and was equally beautiful.

They greeted Xiaoyu, "Greetings, elder sister,"

and then, laughing, began to nudge Miao Richenjun.

Unable to resist, Miao Richen was pushed forward by them, his body swaying precariously. Frightened, he cried out, "Four sisters, what are you doing?"

The four maids laughed, "Oh, young master, you're so sweet-talking! We're your maids, not sisters. If you want to find your sisters, go to Suyu Tower!"

Miao Richen said, "Then where are you taking me? Stop pushing me, can't I walk myself?"

One maid said, "Let's go play in the garden! You're so fat, if you don't exercise, you'll get sick. Then everything will be in chaos."

Xiao Yu said from behind, "Chunfeng, what are you babbling about, you little brat? Don't waste time talking to this fat pig."

Chunfeng pouted, indeed not daring to speak. It seemed Xiao Yu held immense power; the four women all listened to her.

Arriving at the garden, it was springtime. Many trees were budding, and some flowers were blooming. The air was filled with the fragrance of some unknown flower, very pleasant.

The four women released Miao Richen and then playfully teased and frolicked in the garden.

Miao Ri Chen Jun had walked a long way and was exhausted. He leaned against a tree, panting. Xiao Yu walked up to him and said, "You fat pig, go catch them and play with them!"

Miao Ri Chen Jun retorted, "Who are you calling a fat pig? I'm not a fat pig, I'm a god!"

Xiao Yu was taken aback and said, "You idiot, you actually dare to talk back. If you're not a fat pig, then why are you so fat?"

Miao Ri Chen Jun was speechless for a moment. Xiao Yu said smugly, "You fat pig, you dare to talk back! Next time I won't give you any food, let's see if you dare to disobey me again."

Miao Ri Chen Jun said, "Fine, I won't eat. I'm not afraid. We gods can go tens of thousands of years without eating."

Xiao Yu then giggled, her expression extremely charming. Miao Ri Chen Jun was stunned by her beautiful face, forgetting her slander and disdain for him, and only thought she was truly beautiful.

After laughing, Xiao Yu said, "Alright, you're a deity. So, deity, what's your name?"

Miao Ri Chen Jun replied, "I am Miao Ri Chen Jun."

Xiao Yu was stunned, not expecting this idiot to actually come up with a name. A thought struck her, and she smiled, "Since you're a deity, you must be very powerful! Go and catch Si Ji and the others. If you catch one, I'll consider you a deity, and from then on, I'll worship you. You'll be my master, and I'll never hit or scold you again, and I'll listen to everything you say."

Miao Ri Chen Jun said, "Alright! Hmph, let me show you my power. Si Ji are them?"

He pointed to four maids.

Xiao Yu said, "How many times have I told you? You never remember. They're the maids in your room, named Chun Feng, Xia Yu, Qiu Yue, and Dong Xue. Aren't they the four seasons? You were so naive when you named them! Now you don't remember anything?"

Upon hearing this, Miao Ri Chen Jun seemed to realize that it was true, and said, "I understand. Watch me use my magic to catch them."

He then flicked his finger and muttered an incantation.

Xiao Yu shouted, "Si Ji, Young Master is going to catch you. Slow down, don't be so boring."

Si Ji immediately burst into laughter.

Miao Ri Chen Jun gestured and muttered for a long time, but no magic power came out, and he was drenched in sweat. At this moment, Xiao Yu kicked him in the butt and said, "Why don't you hurry up and catch them? Are you slacking off here?"

Miao Ri Chen Jun was furious when he saw that his magic power was ineffective. He thought, "Even if I don't use my magic power, can't I catch you?"

He moved his huge body and pounced on Si Ji. Although he wanted to fly, his legs were weak. He couldn't even run, let alone fly. His fat jiggled, and after running a few steps, he was panting heavily and stopped to squat and catch his breath.

Xiao Yu whispered in his ear, "You fat pig, why are you slacking off again? You're such a waste!"

Miao Richenjun turned his head and saw her contemptuous gaze, his heart aching. He roared, "I'm not a waste!"

With that, he stood up with all his might and pounced on Siji, who was laughing nearby.

With a scream, Siji quickly dodged. Miao Richenjun grabbed here and there, chasing after her, but couldn't catch a glimpse of her. He was exhausted and squatted down to rest for a while, thinking, "I'll focus on one and catch her, I'm sure I can."

Miao Richenjun "suddenly" stood up and "suddenly" pounced on Chunfeng, who was closest to him and still joking. Of course, this "suddenly" and "suddenly" were only relative to him. By the time he reached Chunfeng, she was just a step away from him, but he just couldn't catch her.

Miao Richenjun was furious. He wouldn't give up. He chased after Chunfeng with all his might, but he was always just a body length away from her, and Chunfeng just couldn't catch him. In a moment of desperation, Miao Ri Chen Jun leaped forward, thinking, "Now you think you can escape?"

A deafening sound followed by the screams of the women. Miao Ri Chen Jun crashed into the ground with a thud. The women were shocked and hurriedly helped him up, leaving a huge, human-shaped crater in the ground.

Xiao Yu was initially terrified, but when Miao Ri Chen Jun said with a livid face, "You're all bullying me! You're taking advantage of me while I'm powerless. I'm not playing with you anymore. I'll get my revenge when I regain my power."

Seeing the flower petals and dirt on his face, Xiao Yu suppressed a laugh and wiped them off with her small hands, saying, "Well, what do you mean, you're so clumsy, you can't do anything right, all you do is sleep. Now you know you're no good, right?"

Qiu Yue said, "Young Master has worked very hard today, he's already done very well. He's injured, let's go back and rest!"

Xiao Yu glared at her and said, "Shut up! Don't I know my place?"

Miao Ri Chen Jun saw that Si Ji was very concerned about him after he fell, but Xiao Yu remained so... Bo, indignant, said, "Why are you being so fierce? If I had magic powers, I'd teach you a lesson and show you how arrogant you are."

Xiao Yu said, "I'm powerful, so naturally I can teach people a lesson. You know nothing, you can't do anything, you're a stupid and clumsy idiot, so naturally you can only be taught a lesson."

Miao Ri Chen Jun said, "Nonsense, I'm not that stupid! I... I do have one thing I'm better at than you." He

then became discouraged. He remembered how fat he was, making it difficult for him to even walk. Now his back and legs ached, and all he wanted to do was sleep. The four girls had clearly been teasing him on purpose. If they were serious, he wouldn't even be able to get close, let alone touch their shadows. He only regretted being born into such a stupid pig body. It seemed he had no choice but to endure it.

Sure enough, Xiao Yu sneered, "You think you can beat me in anything? Dream on! You're not even as good as these four little girls, and you still want to compete with me? Dongxue, recite a poem for him."

Dongxue blushed slightly and said, "This... isn't that inappropriate?"

Xiao Yu retorted angrily, "What's inappropriate about it? You always recite them happily when no one's around, don't you? Just recite your favorite one. If you don't listen, you'll get a beating!"

Xia Yu laughed, "Dongxue, don't be shy, hurry up and recite it. Didn't you see how fierce Sister Xiao Yu is with Grandma?" "Have you already said it? If you're still shy, she'll really give you a hard time."

Dongxue blushed and slowly recited: "Fallen petals and crimson blossoms each wound their own, the misty rain of the brothel makes it hard to forget each other. Before flying, they dance in the returning wind, already fallen, they still retain half a face of makeup. The traveler from the vast sea returns with pearls and tears, the woman from the brothel leaves behind fragrance. Perhaps unintentionally, they conveyed the message to two butterflies, giving their hearts to the honeycomb."

Miao Richenjun was dumbfounded. Even if it were a book of celestial knowledge, he could understand a little bit, but what Dongxue was reciting was just babbling and he didn't understand a word she said.

Miao Richenjun said in bewilderment, "Your voice is very pleasant!"

The women all burst into laughter. Xiao Yu said, "That's like casting pearls before swine! Alright, let Qiuyue paint a picture for you. This isn't the study; we need to get brushes and ink. Qiuyue, you can paint a picture with a twig!"

Qiuyue agreed. She always had a smile on her face, but when she picked up the twig and started painting, her expression became solemn. In no time, with just a few strokes, she finished a picture of mandarin ducks playing in the water, lifelike and vivid. The women all clapped and cheered, saying, "Qiuyue's skills have improved again."

Miao Richenjun sighed, "These two birds really do look real."

Suddenly, an idea struck him, and he said, "I just wonder what they taste like!"

As soon as he finished speaking, the women all changed color.

Although Miao Richenjun was new to the mortal realm and didn't understand many things, seeing the women's drastic change in expression, he knew he had made a serious mistake. However, he couldn't pinpoint what was wrong. Suddenly, he thought, "Oh no, why did I only think about food! They must be looking down on me."

Xiao Yu sneered, "You, sometimes you're clever, sometimes you're incredibly stupid. It's one thing to not study properly, but all you do is eat, eat and sleep like a madman. When you're awake, you're acting crazy. What kind of future do you have? You even want to eat mandarin ducks, what a spoilsport! You look like a fat pig. How do Madam and Grandma treat you? They're afraid you'll melt in their mouths. What a waste of their hearts."

Siji's expression wasn't much better; it was full of contempt.

Miao Ri Chen Jun had never suffered such humiliation before. He was furious and shouted, "Don't look down on me! You've all misjudged me! I'm much better than you! I'm better than you in every way!"

Xiao Yu said, "Fine! Let's see what you have that can compare to us! Tell us!"

Si Ji said to each other, "Young Master is talking nonsense again. When he's not crazy, he's like a fool, listening to everything we say. That's not so annoying. It's just that he seems to be sober but doesn't listen to us. That's the most annoying thing." The more

Miao Ri Chen Jun thought about it, the angrier he became. He was a dignified celestial being, even if he was only a lowly ninth-rank immortal. He was still a proper immortal, but he never expected that after being reborn as a mortal, his fate would be so miserable. He was even worse off than a lowly mortal girl, and he couldn't compare to them in anything.

Miao Richenjun grew increasingly frustrated. Just then, he felt a sudden urge to urinate. A sudden inspiration struck him, and he shouted, "My skill is better than yours!"

He unzipped his pants and began to urinate, saying, "Let's see who can pee the farthest! I refuse to believe you can beat me!"

Siji and Xiaoyu never expected Miao Richenjun to do such a thing. They were stunned as they watched him finish urinating right in front of them, the urine traveling a great distance. When they finally came to their senses, they screamed, and the women scattered in all directions. It was a long time before they returned, laughing.

The women had all served the previously mentally challenged Miao Richenjun during his baths and were used to such things, but seeing him so unrestrained for the first time, they blushed and teased each other.

Although Miao Richenjun felt ashamed, he didn't care about such things in order to vent his anger. He said smugly, "How about that? Am I better than you?"

The maids all blushed and said, "Young Master is indeed amazing!"

Then Qiuyue laughed, "Chunfeng, I've noticed you usually take a while to go to the toilet. Why don't you compare yourself to the young master?"

Chunfeng laughed, "I can't do it, neither can we. I think we'll have to trouble Sister Xiaoyu to step in."

Xiaoyu glared at her and said, "Are you four little hussies itching for a beating?"

Seeing that the four girls dared not joke anymore, she chuckled and said, "I don't know what's wrong with the young master today. He's suddenly become very cunning. I don't know what's gotten into him."

Dongxue said, "Sister, is it true that the young master's illness is cured? The fortune teller said that the young master's madness would be cured when he was fifteen." "He's exactly fifteen this year."

Xiao Yu scoffed, "You believe fortune tellers? They're just after our family's money. How many imperial physicians have we consulted? They all say there's no cure."

Siji didn't dare say more, bowing their heads and replying, "Yes."

Miao Richenjun, standing nearby, asked in surprise, "Who said I'm crazy? I'm clearly not crazy!"

Just then, a little maid rushed over, saying, "The old lady wants to see Young Master Bao, you must go quickly."

The goddesses looked anxious and hurriedly dragged Miao Richenjun away, saying, "Hurry up and change your clothes. If the old lady sees the young master like this, we'll be in real trouble."

Chapter Three When the wealthy

young master returned to his room, Nuanyun, who had already prepared his clothes, scolded him, "You lot are always so naughty! How come the young master's face is bruised again? I'm not blaming you, I'm just doing this for your own good. Look, now the old lady wants to see the young master, what are you going to do?"

Siji pleaded, "Please, sister, help us cover for us! We'll always remember your kindness."

Xiaoyu, however, put on a stern face and sneered, "Punish him however you want! At worst, we'll kick her out of this house. Does she think she'll starve to death outside? Those who do more work will be sent on business trips, and those who do nothing will naturally be..." "There's not a single mistake, and you can still point fingers."

Nuanyun said angrily while helping Miao Richenjun change his clothes, "Are you talking about me, Miss? I was just trying to help you, that's why I said that. If you don't like it, then even if I said that, I won't care about your affairs anymore."

Xiaoyu sneered, "If you won't care, then you won't care. Does anyone think they can't live without someone else? You think you're so great."

Nuanyun's face turned pale with anger, and Siji pleaded, "Please stop talking, ladies. The old lady is waiting! We can talk about it when we get back."

With a flurry of hands, Miao Richenjun put on his new clothes, and then the women applied some powder to his face to cover up his abrasions. Then they escorted him out.

The group passed through several doors, walked through a covered corridor, turned past a screen, and arrived at a small three-room hall. Behind the hall was the main courtyard. The main building had five rooms, with carved beams and painted rafters, and was extremely magnificent. Nuanyun said to Miaorichenjun, "When you see the old lady later, don't forget what I taught you. Don't say anything carelessly, or we'll be in trouble. Do you remember?"

Miaorichenjun had no idea what to say, but at this moment he could only nod and say, "I know."

Siji stayed outside the door, and Xiaoyu and Nuanyun helped Miaorichenjun inside.

Inside the room, some maids and old women stood serving, and even Xiaoyu became solemn, not daring to breathe loudly. Miaorichenjun was also frightened when he saw them.

A group of people surrounded an old lady in her seventies, with two people supporting her. The old lady's hair was completely white, but her eyes were very bright. Miaorichenjun stood there, not knowing what to do. Nuanyun whispered, "Aren't you going to greet your grandmother?"

Miaorichenjun had no idea about etiquette, and with a subtle push from Nuanyun, he only took two steps forward. The old lady stretched out her hand and said, "My darling, no need for formalities. Quickly, give Bao'er a seat."

The two old women replied, "Yes."

A maid helped Miao Richenjun to a chair brought by the two old women. The chair was placed in front of the old lady, who stroked Miao Richenjun's hair and said, "My darling, how have you been lately? Are you eating well?"

Miao Richenjun was confused and could only say, "I'm eating well. Are you eating well too?"

The old lady became happy, her wrinkles smoothing out as she smiled, and said, "I'm doing very well too. This child has grown up! He even knows to ask if I'm doing well!"

Nuanyun, afraid that Miao Richenjun would make another mistake, quickly said with a smile, "Grandma, thanks to your good fortune, young master Bao is doing very well lately, with a good appetite, and he's become much more sensible. I think in a few years, when he's older, he might even be able to recite poetry for you!"

The old lady was even happier to hear this, repeatedly saying yes, looking at Miao Richenjun with affection, and stroking him. He nodded, then turned to a woman in her forties beside him and said, “Madam, what a fine child you have! I don’t know what kind of demon befell him at birth, that he turned out like this. I don’t expect him to be literate or bring honor to the family. I just hope he can live a peaceful life, marry a few wives, have a few children, and not let our Zhu family line die out. That would be enough, thank God.”

The woman was Madam Zhu, Zhu Chuanzong’s mother. She said, “You’re right, Madam. I see this child is becoming more and more promising, and he will surely live up to your expectations. The name you gave him, Chuanzong, means ‘passing on the family line.’ You have great fortune in your life, Madam, and you will surely bless this child to have a family and many descendants.”

After saying this, she looked at Miao Richenjun with eyes full of tenderness and love.

The other women and maids around him also showered him with compliments. Some brought fruit and served him fragrant tea, taking meticulous care of him.

Miao Richenjun, suddenly showered with so much affection, was overwhelmed with gratitude and stammered, "Why...why are you all so kind to me? Don't you mind that I'm fat and stupid?"

Everyone laughed. The old lady laughed even harder, saying, "Listen to this child, he's having another bout of foolishness. This is your mother, what mother in the world would dislike her son for being ugly! I am your grandmother, your father is my son, you are my descendant, we love you too much to ask! How could we dislike you?"

Miao Richenjun stammered, "But I'm too fat..."

The old lady said, "Ah, being fat is a sign of good fortune!"

Madam Zhu hugged Miao Richenjun tightly, saying, "My silly son, what's wrong with you today? You're talking nonsense again."

Miao Richenjun was quite plump, but his head was nestled in her arms.

Madam Zhu asked, "Nuanyun, how is Young Master Bao doing lately? Is there anything unusual? What's wrong? Has he suffered some grievance?"

Nuanyun smiled and said, "Madam, Young Master is doing very well lately. He's much smarter than before and very well-behaved. With so many of us maids taking care of him, who would wrong him? Don't worry!"

Seeing Xiaoyu's solemn expression, not daring to speak, Miao Richenjun suddenly mustered his courage and stuck his head out, saying, "Madam, someone is bullying me. Will you help me?"

Madam Zhu touched his chubby face and said with heartache, "My child, who would dare to wrong you! Let alone bully you. If you have any grievances, tell your mother. Even if your mother can't stand up for you, there's still your great-grandmother!"

Nuanyun quickly smiled and said, "Young Master Bao, you're joking with Madam! Don't scare us. Even if I sometimes accidentally do something wrong, please forgive me for serving you so diligently!"

At the same time, she winked at him.

Miao Richen said, "It's not your fault, it's someone else who bullied me."

Madam Zhu's expression changed, and she said, "Nuanyun, I know you're a good girl. But the young master is very kind-hearted and only cares about one thing. If he hadn't been bullied so badly, he would never have complained to us. Let him speak."

Nuanyun was extremely anxious, thinking, "I don't know what's wrong with this silly young master today. He's suddenly changed his ways and is complaining like a tattletale. I wonder what those girls did to offend him today!"

Her heart was in turmoil, filled with worry.

Seeing that someone was backing him up, Miao Richenjun became even bolder and said, "Sister Nuanyun, you've been very good to me. You didn't bully me. This has nothing to do with you. It was Xiaoyu who bullied me."

Nuanyun was so frightened that her face changed color. She forced a smile and said, "Young Master, please don't joke around. Xiaoyu is always so good to you! Although she can be a bit temperamental at times, she's always been the most devoted to you! Madam, Young Master might not have eaten enough today. Please forgive him!"

Madam Zhu's face had already darkened. She said, "My son may be a little simple-minded, but he never talks nonsense or wrongs an innocent person. It must be that girl who's always bullying me." "Son, he was really bullied so badly that he finally told on me. Xiao Yu, you little hussy, you've wasted all my trust in you. So you're one of my servants too. I assigned you to take care of the young master because you're usually so clever and careful. And yet you've abused him! Tell me, what did you do to make him so angry?"

Xiao Yu knelt down and cried, "Madam, please understand! I've always done my best and haven't let the young master suffer the slightest grievance!"

Nuan Yun also hurriedly knelt down and said, "Madam, you're a wise woman. Xiao Yu really didn't make things difficult for the young master. I think it's just that sometimes the young master is naughty, and Xiao Yu didn't know her own limitations, which made him unhappy. " That might be true. But if she really wanted to bully the young master, even if she dared, would Nuanyun let her do

as she pleased? Madam Zhu's expression softened upon hearing this, and the Old Madam added, "Alright! I think these maids wouldn't dare bully the young master. My precious daughter must not understand their good intentions and has misunderstood them. However, you must be careful in the future. The young master is already quite old; don't always interfere with him. Let him play!"

Nuanyun and Xiaoyu wiped away their sweat and tears, saying, "Yes."

Seeing that things were about to pass, Miao Richenjun felt a surge of anxiety, remembering something, and hurriedly said... "Nuanyun is kind-hearted; she deliberately helped Xiaoyu! If she hadn't bullied me, where would you see these bruises on my face? It was because she bullied me that I fell!"

These words immediately changed the atmosphere. Before Madam Zhu could act, the Old Madam pulled him aside, carefully examining the bruises on his face, wiping away the makeup, and then angrily said, "You wretched girl! How dare you bully my darling like this! If my precious darling weren't a little smarter, you would have killed him! We old fools have been kept in the dark!" Madam

Zhu also came closer to look, her face turning pale with anger, unable to speak.

The old matriarch roared, "We dare not keep you here any longer! From this moment on, you shall leave the Zhu family! A heartless vixen like you, even a family like ours dares not keep you."

Xiao Yu was already sobbing uncontrollably, whimpering, "I can't say anything. No one knows my heart. Only death can..."

With that, she suddenly rammed her head against a large pillar. Fortunately, the old woman beside her was quick and grabbed her, but the momentum was too great, and she still crashed into it, immediately bleeding profusely.

The incident happened suddenly. Miao Richen hadn't expected that Xiao Yu, who usually didn't care about anything, would contemplate suicide upon hearing she was being kicked out of the house. Only then did he realize the gravity of the situation. Seeing Nuan Yun crying her eyes out and rushing to help, he quickly said, "Madam, Grandmother, it's all my fault. I was lying. I hurt myself in the fall."

Suddenly, a thought struck him, and he said, "Xiao Yu wouldn't give me chicken today, so I deliberately teased her."

Madam Zhu and the Old Madam laughed upon hearing this, "This child, she's actually lying. She's certainly become smarter than before."

Then they had someone help Xiao Yu, whose wound had been bandaged, over. The Old Madam said, "Child, it was this old woman... " "I misunderstood you. You should continue serving the young master! Since he loves chicken, let him eat his fill. Can't we afford it?"

The maids and servants nearby laughed, "Don't even mention chicken, we wouldn't care if it were phoenix."

Xiao Yu said, "It's all my fault, Old Madam is right. I was just worried the young master was too fat and wouldn't be able to move around easily, so..."

Madam Zhu said, "Alright! You meant well. Just be more careful next time. He's stubborn and single-minded, so don't blame him. Next month, you and Nuanyun will each receive an extra two taels of silver in your monthly allowance. Thank you for your help."

Xiao Yu thanked her and was helped away by the maids to rest.

A while later, it was time for dinner. Miao Richenjun, Madam Zhu, and the Old Madam ate together before returning home with Nuanyun and Siji.

Because of his worries about what had just happened, Miao Richenjun initially couldn't eat, but the food was so delicious. Dishes like rock sugar lotus seeds, braised fish with broad bean paste, eight-treasure scallops in their shells, dry-fried shrimp, spinach and scrambled eggs, and pan-fried purple rice lotus root sandwiches... all tasted delicious, and in the end, we ate a huge meal.

On the way, Nuanyun and Siji started to criticize him. Siji didn't dare to say anything to his face, but they whispered among themselves that he had suddenly become cunning, but all of it was crooked, and he couldn't distinguish between good and bad people.

Nuanyun said to him, "Young Master, have you forgotten how good Xiaoyu is to you? Look at the robe you're wearing; she sewed it for you stitch by stitch. Afraid that the tailors outside wouldn't be skilled enough, she worked from dawn till dusk, spending half a month to finish it. And last year, during the heavy snow, you insisted on building a snowman, and she stayed with you. Seeing you having fun and not needing to sleep all the time, which would allow you to exercise more and lose weight, she played with you. Siji and I were exhausted, but she still played with you, and ended up being seriously ill for seven or eight days. Don't you remember any of this?"

Upon hearing her words, Miaori Chenjun suddenly remembered and murmured, "I have forgotten!"

Nuanyun She sighed, "You don't remember all the good she's done for you. You need to coax her and make her happy later. She's heartbroken; she's so pitiful!"

Miao Richenjun finally understood Xiao Yu's good intentions, thinking, "She speaks so harshly. I only regained my senses today; how could I understand her? It must have been Laozi who made me mute and turn me into a fool to preserve my spiritual energy in heaven. But now my physical body is like this, and I have no magic power at all. It seems Laozi's elixir isn't very useful! I wonder where Fairy Zisha is now? Where she was reincarnated, and what her luck is like? Even if I meet her, will she like this fat pig like me?"

Thinking of this, he felt very dejected.

Seeing his dejected state, Nuanyun said, "Don't be sad. Go apologize to Xiaoyu, and she won't be so heartbroken."

Miao Richenjun said, "I know she meant well, so naturally I'll comfort her and treat her well."

Nuanyun was taken aback, thinking, "This fool seems like a normal person today, but who knows how confused he'll be again in a couple of days!"

The group returned to Zhu Chuanzong's residence—Yong'an Pavilion. The name was given by the Old Madam, hoping that Zhu Chuanzong would grow up safely.

Miao Richenjun was listless. He entered the room and collapsed onto the bed. Nuanyun said, "Aren't you going to comfort Xiaoyu? Don't blame me for not reminding you. When you need her help in the future, don't blame me for not telling you beforehand."

Although Miao Richenjun was exhausted and only wanted to sleep, he forced himself to stand up and said, "She suffered because of me. Even if I don't need her in the future, I should apologize to her now!" Nuanyun

was greatly surprised to find that what he said made sense.

Miao Richenjun said, "Where is she? Take me there!"

Nuanyun said, "I thought you'd really gotten smarter! But you're still the same. She's in the outer room. We take turns serving you in the inner room every three days. She hasn't been with you these past few days, so she's naturally in the outer room!"

Nuanyun helped Miao Richenjun to the outer room.

Nuanyun knocked on the door and said, "Xiaoyu, the young master has come to see you."

Then she left.

Miao Richenjun went in and saw Xiaoyu lying on the bed, her face turned inwards in a huff. He sat down on the edge of the bed, nudged her, and said, "It's my fault. I didn't know you meant well, and I didn't know things would escalate like this. I'll never dare to joke around like that again. Please don't be angry anymore, okay?"

Xiao Yu didn't turn her head and said, "My dear young master, I wouldn't dare to be angry with you. From now on, you can do whatever you want. I won't interfere in your affairs anymore."

Miao Richen laughed, "So you're still angry. How can you ignore me? I've become smarter now, and I won't make you angry anymore. Please forgive me this once! If you forgive me, I'll agree to anything you want."

Xiao Yu sat up and said, "Really? Why are you so eloquent today? Every time you're naughty, you become smart for a few days. Wait for me... " "When I'm nice to you, I get confused again. It's so frustrating!"

Miao Richenjun said, "I really am a celestial being from heaven, and today I've finally regained my senses. Believe me, I won't forget anything you tell me from now on."

Xiao Yu took out her slender, white hand and tapped Miao Richenjun's forehead with one finger, saying, "Alright, since you're awake, I'll tell you. You're not a celestial being; your name is Zhu Chuanzong. Don't forget that."

Miao Richenjun was stunned, thinking, "Although I am a celestial being descended to earth, after falling to the mortal realm..." " I'm just a mortal now. It seems I'll only be called Zhu Chuanzong from now on, that awful name. I'm extremely obese, slow-moving, even worse than an ordinary person—truly a dragon trapped in shallow waters!"

After a moment of stunned silence, he said, "I know my name now. What's my father's name? Where am I? Right, what era is this?"

Xiao Yu was taken aback and said, "You idiot, seeing you like this, you're truly pitiful. I won't hate you anymore. I've told you so many times, but you never remember."

Zhu Chuanzong hurriedly said, "The last time... " "I won't ask again. I told you I was a god, that's how I regained my memories!"

Xiao Yu said. "Look at you! I just told you not to mention you're a god again. You're just Zhu Chuanzong, the eldest young master of the Zhu family, understand?"

Zhu Chuanzong sighed, "I understand."

Xiao Yu said, "Your father's name is Zhu Youji, and your grandfather's name is Zhu Conghu. You don't need to tell outsiders these names; that's impolite. Just remember them in your heart. We are now in the 26th year of the reign of Emperor Shenwu Mingzong of the Great Liang Kingdom."

Zhu Chuanzong listened and wrote it down, repeating it softly.

Xiao Yu listened and said, "You'd better remember this now, and don't forget it later! You're so clever one minute and a fool the next; you're such a blockhead."

She got angrier and angrier, saying, "With all this lazy fat and your pig brain, it's impossible to do anything with you. I didn't get killed by you this time, but who knows what tricks you'll pull next time. It's infuriating!"

She poked Zhu Chuanzong's forehead with her finger.

Seeing the white veil wrapped around her head, and her slight anger and reproach, Zhu Chuanzong exuded an indescribable charm. Far from feeling uncomfortable, he found it quite amusing, and said with a grin, "Sister, I know you're worried about me."

He then reached for Xiao Yu's hand, but she flung it away, saying, "You fool, always so muddle-headed! Now you've gotten me into this state, and you're a little more clear-headed, but it's too late. Get out! I need to rest; you'll drive me crazy sooner or later."

Zhu Chuanzong, seeing her every smile and gesture so captivating, felt reluctant to leave, but knowing she was asking him to go, he knew to leave.

Back in the room, Nuanyun saw him looking dejected, having collapsed onto the bed as soon as he entered. She sat down beside him and chuckled, "You got a scolding, didn't you? Who told you not to learn your lesson? Next time, you better not be naughty again. Sigh, I know it's pointless to talk to you. You're so lucky to be born into this scholarly family! You should have been well-versed in history and accomplished something great, to be worthy of your ancestors. What a pity!"

Zhu Chuanzong, seeing her gentle charm and dignified demeanor, leaned closer and asked, "What kind of family do I come from? I only know my father's name is Zhu Youji."

Nuanyun, seeing his sudden interest in this, excitedly exclaimed, "You! You know nothing! Your father is the current Minister of Works, a first-rank official!"

Zhu Chuanzong replied blankly, "First-rank official ..." "How high is 'pinpin'?"

Nuanyun asked patiently. "The prime minister is a first-rank official, followed by the ministers of the six ministries! Of course, the Three Dukes and the Three Grand Secretaries are also very high-ranking officials, but they are very few people. In short, your father is a very, very high-ranking official. He can see the emperor every day."

Zhu Chuanzong said, "I know the emperor. He's like the Jade Emperor in heaven."

Nuanyun chuckled, "Your analogy is very accurate. You've really made something of yourself!"

Zhu Chuanzong said, "Indeed, my father is very powerful. He can see the emperor every day! In heaven, if you can see the Jade Emperor every day, you must be a celestial being. I am a ninth-rank official..."

Suddenly remembering his promise to Xiaoyu, and knowing that if he told them he was a celestial being descended to earth, they would just think he was talking nonsense and no one would believe him, he stopped talking.

Nuanyun, her eyebrows dancing with excitement, said, "While Master is indeed formidable, the Great-Grandfather is actually the most powerful; he's the one who built this family."

Zhu Chuanzong asked, "How powerful was he?"

Nuanyun smiled and said, "The Great-Grandfather was a servant in the household of the late Emperor Taizong, and later he helped the late Emperor conquer the world. His greatest achievement was rescuing the late Emperor from a pile of corpses. After the establishment of the Great Liang Kingdom, he was appointed Grand Tutor by the late Emperor, a first-rank official, and he even served as the Crown Prince's teacher—the current Emperor Mingzong! Look at our family..." "With such great achievements, you should inherit them! It's a pity you're a born fool, you don't understand anything. As long as you can carry on the family line and prevent the Zhu family from dying out, I'll be grateful."

Zhu Chuanzong retorted angrily, "You look down on people too?"

Nuanyun smiled gently and said, "Alright, alright! You're tired, go to sleep! If you're as sensible as you are today tomorrow, I'll thank God!"

Zhu Chuanzong heard about sleeping and was indeed sleepy, saying, "Okay, I'll argue with you tomorrow."

He then fell asleep.

05-15
Chapter 4: Mortal Life

Zhu Chuanzong woke up suddenly in the middle of the night. He opened his eyes and felt that his mind was clearer than ever before. He remembered some things that happened in heaven. He recited a spell and instantly returned to his original appearance. He gently got out of bed and went to the large mirror in the room. He saw that although the person in the mirror was not exceptionally handsome, he was still quite good-looking.

Zhu Chuanzong stared at the mirror for a while, then his expression changed again. A large, fat man appeared in the mirror, looking both foolish and clumsy. He muttered, "So, only in the dead of night can I transform back into my true form."

He recited other incantations, but to no avail. He thought, "So, I can only transform back into my true form, but my magic power hasn't returned."

He was lost in thought.

Zhu Chuanzong gently pushed aside the curtain and saw Nuanyun sleeping on the couch in the outer room, separated from him only by the curtain. If he needed anything at night, she could come immediately with a single call. Seeing her deep in a sweet dream, her beauty breathtaking, he was somewhat mesmerized.

Zhu Chuanzong gently returned to bed, but after a while, his body felt heavy, and he could no longer transform back into his original form.

Zhu Chuanzong began to worry. With this sluggish physical body, let alone achieving great things, even making a living like an ordinary person would be difficult. He thought, "Luckily, I was born into this family with plenty to eat, otherwise..."

Suddenly, he became angry with himself. How could he be so useless? How could he think like this? Remembering the mocking looks from Siji and Xiaoyu, she sighed, "Although Nuanyun is gentle and considerate to me, she may not really respect me!"

Lost in thought, Zhu Chuanzong gradually fell asleep. He was dreaming of meeting Laozi, who restored his magical powers. Just as he was feeling happy, someone suddenly called his name. He felt a sharp pain in his ear and woke up instantly. Opening his eyes, he saw Xiaoyu shouting, "You rascal! You were all set yesterday, and now you're sleeping in again! If I didn't wake you, you'd be sleeping until the afternoon! Get up quickly, let's go play outside!"

Although Zhu Chuanzong remembered to get up, he was still very tired and wanted to sleep a little longer. He understood why he was so fat and said, "Okay, don't rush me, I'll get up. I need to exercise more, and I'll gradually lose weight."

Xiao Yu was a little surprised and said, "You finally remembered what I said. You seem to be in great spirits today!"

Zhu Chuanzong said, "Xiao Yu, I've become smarter. Starting today, I'll start losing weight, okay?"

Xiao Yu exclaimed in surprise, "Sister Nuanyun, listen to what this idiot is saying! This fat pig is going to change his ways!"

Nuanyun came over, also very happy.

Zhu Chuanzong said, "Please don't call me a fat pig anymore, it sounds awful!"

Xiao Yu said, "I'll call you that anyway, I've called you that for over ten years, how can you just stop now?"

Zhu Chuanzong gritted his teeth and said, "Fine, fine. Call me that! I'll definitely become incredibly handsome, so you'll never be able to say it again."

Xiao Yu and Nuanyun looked at each other, both surprised and very happy.

Breakfast was served, and Zhu Chuanzong, seeing the food, was overjoyed, as if seeing his own mother. The two women said, "You said you wanted to lose weight! Judging from the way you eat, you must be a reincarnated starving ghost."

Zhu Chuanzong said, "I'm clearly a god..."

but couldn't finish his sentence. He simply pushed the food away, though his stomach wasn't full and he was extremely unwilling, but being looked down upon by two beauties was a big deal.

Xiao Yu was very happy and said, "Good job, eat this little from now on. We'll go out and play today, and you're not allowed to sleep. This way you'll slowly lose weight!"

Zhu Chuanzong nodded quickly.

Siji and Xiao Yu took Zhu Chuanzong to play in the garden. The Zhu family was a wealthy family, and the entire estate was very large, with many beautiful places.

Zhu Chuanzong walked and looked around, engrossed in the scenery, forgetting that he was walking and not feeling tired. The group came to a bamboo house, and Zhu Chuanzong, seeing its novelty, wanted to go up and play. This two-story bamboo house, built of bamboo, is located by the woods, offering scenic views and a place to rest.

Siji and Xiaoyu accompanied Zhu Chuanzong upstairs to play. After playing for an unknown amount of time, Xiaoyu saw Nuanyun approaching from afar, carrying a basket, and went downstairs to greet her.

The two met at the edge of the woods. Nuanyun smiled and said, "It's been so long since you've returned. I brought some food; the young master must be hungry."

Xiaoyu said, "He's been acting strangely today, not particularly greedy for food. No matter how I try to persuade him, it's no use. If he's hungry and can't eat, that would be terrible. But today he seems like a wise man. Are you worried he'll starve?"

Nuanyun smiled and said, "If you want him to lose weight, you have to take it slowly! If he starves, it'll be hard to explain to Madam."

Xiaoyu said, "Missing a meal and he'll starve? You're clearly spoiling him, sister. You're such a doting person."

Nuanyun smiled and said, "I don't know if I'm a doting person or not, I only know I have to take good care of the young master."

Xiaoyu pouted and said, "So, sister, are you saying I'm not taking good care of the young master?"

Nuanyun said, "I didn't say..."

Before she could finish, a loud crash was heard. With a "boom," the two looked up and saw a two-story house in the distance collapse.

Nuanyun asked, "What happened?"

Xiaoyu replied, "It's nothing, Young Master is on the bamboo building. He must have accidentally fallen."

Nuanyun exclaimed, "Young Master?"

Realizing what had happened, the two rushed over. Arriving at the bamboo building, they heard groans. The four maids, Siji, were all lying on the ground, rubbing their bodies and groaning. Zhu Chuanzong lay silently on the ground, surrounded by broken bamboo.

Xiaoyu, who hadn't paid much attention at first, turned pale with fright. She and Nuanyun hurried to his side and helped him up. Seeing his wide-open eyes, they cried out, "Young Master, wake up! Speak! What happened to you?"

Zhu Chuanzong sighed, "I just... I just fell, and it had such power! This is far more powerful than any magic! I'm so ashamed!"

The two relaxed. Xiaoyu laughed, "It's nothing. Things like this have happened before; we're used to it!"

Nuanyun asked, "Young Master, where do you feel unwell? Are you hurt?" ?

Zhu Chuanzong stood up slowly with the support of the two women and said, "It's nothing. The bamboo broke slowly, but I wasn't hurt." How are they doing in the Four Seasons? "

Siji slowly came over and checked it out. They were all minor injuries. Qiuyue said: "Sister Xiaoyu was still smart and found an opportunity to slip away. The four of us are stupid and deserve bad luck!

Xiaoyu smiled and said, "I am lucky!" Don't be jealous.

Xia Yu smiled and said, "If you had been lucky, you would have been reborn long ago." That's why we're jealous. "

Xiao Yu's face suddenly changed. Xia Yu felt that it was inappropriate to say what he said. He had always known that Xiao Yu was powerful, so he was scared and his face changed with fear.

Nuanyun saw him and hurriedly came to the rescue and said: "You girls are chewing your tongue, come and take care of the young master. He chattered all day long, with no serious eyes on anything! "

Siji hurriedly helped Zhu Chuanzong.

Everyone returned to Yong'an Pavilion, and Zhu Chuanzong fell down after all. Although he was full of fat and had no injuries, he walked a lot and had fun. At this time, he was tired, so he went to bed to sleep.

Zhu Chuanzong was only woken up for dinner. Seeing the table laden with food, his appetite was whetted, and he immediately began to devour the food.

Nuanyun and Xiaoyu both said, "Eat slowly, eat less!"

But Zhu Chuanzong wouldn't stop, and only after finishing everything did he wipe his mouth, burp contentedly, and put his hands down.

Xiaoyu scolded, "You're still so stubborn! You said you were going to lose weight!"

Zhu Chuanzong then realized that he had only thought about dieting after he was full. But he insisted, "I'm injured today! Once I'm healed, I won't eat so much!"

Nuanyun smiled and said, "I think we should just leave him be. If he could eat less, Madam and the Old Madam wouldn't let him do as he pleases. No matter how much they scolded, beat, or threatened him before, he wouldn't listen. Madam and the Old Madam, seeing his pain, simply let him eat whatever he wanted."

Xiaoyu said, "Madam and the others have given up on the young master. They only want him to carry on the Zhu family line. But look, the young master is somewhat sober now. Hopefully, he will change for the better!"

Zhu Chuanzong felt sad when he heard them say this, thinking, "So that's how they see me."

He angrily said, "Fine, I won't be greedy anymore, but you'll still look down on me!"

He regretted it as soon as he said it. He had never tasted so many delicacies in heaven. How could he give them up?

The two women were very happy to hear this, but Nuanyun said, "Sigh, I know you're just trying to appease us, but I'm still very happy to hear you say that."

The next day, Zhu Chuanzong remembered what he had said the day before and tried his best to control his appetite, eating much less. But after a while, he was hungry again.

Zhu Chuanzong stared at the bananas and other fruits on the table in the room. Unable to resist, he went over and took a banana to eat. Nuanyun, who was knitting clothes for him, laughed and said, "Eating one is fine, but you mustn't eat them all."

Zhu Chuanzong said proudly, "Eat everything? I'm only eating one! Don't think of me as so despicable; I'm not that greedy."

However, the bananas tasted so good that after he finished one, he wanted to eat more. After a while, he couldn't resist and thought, "I need to find a plausible reason."

He murmured, "Banana, oh banana, I'm a kind person. You'll be lonely and miserable going alone. I won't be so heartless. Your partner will be here soon."

He then ate another banana.

Nuanyun, seeing him muttering to himself, was puzzled and asked Zhu Chuanzong, "What are you doing?"

Zhu Chuanzong replied calmly, "I'm performing a ritual to help the banana couple pass on. I ate a banana, and it sacrificed itself to help me. It will definitely go to heaven, but in heaven, a banana is so lonely! So I have to eat two." Nuanyun

chuckled inwardly and deliberately turned to ask, "Should we also perform a ritual to help the orange next to it pass on?"

Zhu Chuanzong said seriously, "Do you think my stomach is heaven? Besides, they're a perfectly good couple; how could I arrange for another rival?"

Nuanyun smiled. "What other rivals do you know?"

Zhu Chuanzong sighed. "I was ruined by that wicked rival, and that's why I was sent to earth to be your young master. Now I'm so fat, it's truly pathetic!"

Nuanyun put down her needlework and asked curiously, "Are you telling the truth? Are you really a celestial being descended to earth?"

Seeing Nuanyun's great interest, Zhu Chuanzong was also very happy and said, "Of course it's true. If you don't believe me, tonight I can transform back into my true form and let you see. Hehe, I'm still very handsome. You'll definitely like it to death when you see me."

A blush spread across Nuanyun's face, and she bent over and laughed. Zhu Chuanzong said, "What are you laughing at?"

Nuanyun pursed her lips and shook her head, her eyes smiling, but she didn't speak.

Finally, lunchtime arrived. Zhu Chuanzong had sent many rivals to the banana couple, but fruit didn't keep him full. He had a big stomach and had been hungry for a long time, so he started eating as soon as he arrived.

Xiao Yu pouted and said, "I think it's better to let him eat a full breakfast. Eating like this will not only ruin his stomach, but he'll also get fatter."

Nuan Yun said, "I told you there wasn't one, but you wouldn't believe me, would you?"

Zhu Chuanzong's mouth was full of food as he mumbled, "Your method is wrong. If I don't eat, I'll starve! You have to find another way for me to lose weight."

Xiao Yu suddenly laughed and said, "I've got it! Horse riding to lose weight. Young Master will start practicing horse riding this afternoon. This is a great

idea." She finished speaking with great pride.

The Zhu family was bustling with activity that day, everyone was beaming with joy, and the mansion was decorated with lanterns and colorful streamers, creating a festive atmosphere. Zhu Chuanzong went to the horse farm to practice horse riding every day and was extremely tired. Seeing that everyone in the mansion was different that day, he asked Xiao Yu.

Xiao Yu laughed, "Silly boy, your sister and sister-in-law are back from outside, everyone's busy welcoming them, it's naturally very festive. Only you know nothing, yet you say you've become smarter and understand everything!"

Zhu Chuanzong asked in surprise, "My sister? Sister-in-law? Do I have a brother? Is that sister my biological sister? Didn't you say I'm the only descendant of the Zhu family?"

Xiao Yu scolded, "You're acting silly again, haven't you been better for a few days? Go away, I hate seeing you, you big idiot."

Zhu Chuanzong left dejectedly, thinking, "Don't let Xiao Yu's good looks fool you, she has such a bad temper ." "Nuanyun is still the gentlest."

Nuanyun was resting in her room when Zhu Chuanzong walked to her bedside, gently shaking her fragrant shoulder, and said, "Sister Nuanyun, talk to me! Only you are good to me!"

Nuanyun, still sleepy, got up and said, "Isn't Xiaoyu here with you? Why did you make her angry again? You too, last night you insisted on saying you'd transform me, making a fuss and refusing to sleep. Now look at you, you've become clever, but how did you learn to play tricks on people? And what about some fairy! Where did you transform? You tricked me into staying up half the night, and I'm still sleepy now!"

Zhu Chuanzong said, "Yesterday it might have been because I..." "I'm too tired, so I don't have enough energy, and I didn't become..."

Nuanyun laughed, "Alright! Stop lying, I don't believe you. What happened between you and Xiaoyu?"

Zhu Chuanzong said, "She said my sister and sister-in-law came home, and everyone was celebrating. I asked her who my sister and sister-in-law were, and she got angry. Tell me, and I'll remember this time and won't ask next time."

Nuanyun smiled and said, "Silly boy, you don't even remember them? Will you forget me in the future?"

Zhu Chuanzong said, "How could I? You've been so good to me..."

Nuanyun said, "Your sister..." "Your sister and madam treat you even better! You've forgotten all that."

Zhu Chuanzong was stunned and asked curiously, "How so? What are their names?"

Nuanyun said, "Your sister's name is Zhu Shuiyue. Her grandfather fought alongside your grandfather, and her father served in the same court as your father. They had a good relationship, but unfortunately, she was imprisoned for a crime, so they entrusted Miss Shuiyue to your family. Madam saw that she was pitiful and took her in as an adopted daughter. Although she is an adopted daughter, Madam has no daughters of her own, so she treats her like her own! She treats you extremely well."

Zhu Chuanzong said, "I see. And what about my sister-in-law?" "Who is my brother? Where is he? I've never seen him before!"

Nuanyun sighed and said, "As for the eldest young master, I might have seen him when I was little, but I was too young to remember. I heard he was extremely talented and handsome, and he passed the imperial examination to become a Hanlin Academician! His teacher was the eldest mistress's father, Hanlin Academician Hua. Hua greatly admired the eldest young master, which is why he betrothed his daughter—the eldest mistress—to him. Unfortunately, the eldest young master contracted a strange illness. The master originally wanted to annul the engagement, but the eldest mistress insisted on marrying him to bring him good fortune." "But the eldest young master is still gone. What a pity!"

Zhu Chuanzong said blankly, "My brother is dead! No wonder I was so favored! He was such a smart man, why was his life so unfortunate? Why do people always have to die? The pain of separation and death is so great!"

Nuanyun said in surprise, "Young Master Bao, you've really become normal! You're lamenting like this. I haven't seen you get confused at all these days! I thought you were just getting better and worse every day! I... I'll go tell Madam, the whole family will be overjoyed. They'll be even happier than when Miss and the eldest young mistress came back!"

Zhu Chuanzong saw a face full of... Excited, Nuanyun was about to run out the door when she hurriedly called out, "Wait! I don't want to see Madam and the Old Madam. I... I'm a little afraid to see them!"

Nuanyun smiled and said, "They're so good to you! You're still afraid? But you've always been afraid of Madam, so it's alright. Although Madam seems a bit fierce, she's actually the kindest person. If she knew you'd recovered and become smarter, she would definitely love you even more. You'd be even more pampered then, wouldn't you be happy?"

Zhu Chuanzong said, "No, if you tell Madam, I'll pretend I don't understand anything right now." "Let me get used to this place first. Besides, I'm so fat, it's hard for me to move around. Helping me lose weight will make Madam and the Old Madam even happier."

Nuanyun smiled and said, "Okay, I'll do whatever you say, young master. Yes, we'll make you thin. You'll be smarter, and that will surprise them."

From then on, Nuanyun and Xiaoyu worked even harder to help Zhu Chuanzong lose weight. However, Zhu Chuanzong's greedy nature was hard to change. Although he had reduced his food intake considerably, he used to eat too much. Now he ate less than before, but still much more than a normal person, so there was no obvious sign of weight loss.

Meanwhile, Zhu Chuanzong's sister, Zhu Shuiyue, and her sister-in-law, Hua Caiyun, returned home from their family's shop in another city. Zhu Shuiyue rested for a day before going to visit Zhu Chuanzong.

Zhu Shuiyue brought many gifts, which were carried by her two personal maids, and went straight to Yong'an Pavilion. On the way, she happened to meet Xiaoyu.

Xiao Yu smiled and said, "Miss is back! Everyone has been waiting for you for so long!"

Zhu Shuiyue smiled and said, "Thank you for thinking of me. How is Bao-di? Has he been naughty? What has he been doing lately?"

Xiao Yu said, "Young Master has been doing very well lately. He seems much smarter! But I didn't dare tell Madam yet. It's good that Miss is back. Let's see if he's smarter than before, and then I'll tell Madam. Young Master has been trying to lose weight these days, so he's been riding horses every day! He's at the horse farm now!"

Zhu Shuiyue was very surprised and asked happily, "Was it your idea? He's willing to lose weight? How did it go? Take me to see him quickly."

She gestured to her two maids to deliver the gifts to Yong'an Pavilion, and then she went to the horse farm with Xiao Yu.

As they walked and talked, Xiao Yu laughed, "It's very effective! The horse has lost several pounds in just a few days!"

Zhu Shuiyue laughed upon hearing this, "You little devil, I was asking about a person, and you're talking about a horse!"

Xiao Yu stuck out her tongue and said, "Young Master has done his best! Even the horse has gotten thinner from all the effort. But he hasn't lost much weight. Isn't riding a horse supposed to make you lose weight? Why isn't it working?"

Zhu Shuiyue said, "We'll talk about weight loss later. You just said that Bao Didi has become smarter?"

Xiao Yu said, "Yes. There's something that's hilarious."

As she spoke, she blushed.

Seeing Xiao Yu blush, Zhu Shuiyue became even more curious and said, "What's there to be shy about with me? Tell me quickly."

Seeing that Xiao Yu was still shy, she smiled and said, "Madam put you and Nuanyun in Bao Di's room so that you could serve him. Even if something happens, there's nothing to be shy about. What can't you say? Tell me, and I'll make the decision for you. After you become my sister-in-law, don't forget that I'm your matchmaker."

Xiao Yu said angrily, "Miss, don't tease me. You masters are always so frivolous, making fun of us servants. What kind of behavior is that?"

Zhu Shuiyue said, "You are beautiful, clever, and skilled in needlework, but your background is not good. I have never treated you as a servant." Xiao Yu sighed

, "A bad background is the most important thing! If Miss teases me again, do you still want to hear it?"

Zhu Shuiyue said, "Sister-in-law, you can tell me, and I won't make fun of you."

Xiao Yu's face hardened, and she immediately walked forward quickly. Seeing that Xiao Yu was really angry, Zhu Shuiyue caught up and apologized.

Xiao Yu dared not truly be angry with her young mistress. After Zhu Shuiyue said a few words, she could only say, "Alright! I'll tell you!"

She secretly whispered in Zhu Shuiyue's ear about Zhu Chuanzong's competition with them,

including the incident where he urinated and raced them to see who could run the furthest. Zhu Shuiyue blushed and giggled, "That fool has actually become so clever. But while he's clever, he's not refined at all. He's more like a little hooligan, lacking any of the Zhu family's manners."

Xiao Yu laughed, "Miss, go see him! He's become quite interesting. He wants to lose weight, but he also wants to eat. He finds excuses to eat every day. It's so funny!"

The two girls chatted and laughed, and before they knew it, they had arrived at the horse farm.

Chapter Five: Caiyun Shuiyue

Today, Nuanyun and Siji accompanied Zhu Chuanzong riding horses at the horse farm. The servants at the horse farm were exhausted. One of them led the horse at a slow trot, while the other two followed on either side of the horse to prevent Zhu Chuanzong from falling off.

After the ride, although Zhu Chuanzong was exhausted on horseback, the servants were even more tired. Seeing them drenched in sweat, Zhu Chuanzong felt bad and said, "Don't worry about me. Even if I fall, I'm thick-skinned, I won't get hurt."

The servants were terrified and said, "How can we do that? If you fall, and Madam finds out, what will we do with our skin? Young Master, just ride your horse, we're not tired, don't worry."

Zhu Chuanzong had no choice but to let them be. After a few days, Zhu Chuanzong had completely mastered riding, but the servants still wouldn't let go. The horse couldn't run fast, and Zhu Chuanzong wasn't enjoying the ride. The servants were exhausted, truly suffering from both ends.

Zhu Chuanzong rode once and then stopped. Nuanyun said to the servants, "You've worked hard. Here are a few strings of cash, a reward from the young master for you to drink."

The servants beamed and thanked Zhu Chuanzong.

Zhu Chuanzong asked Nuanyun, "What are those things? Why are they so happy?"

Siji laughed. Nuanyun said, "Young Master, that's money!"

Zhu Chuanzong asked, "What's money used for?"

Nuanyun said, "It can be used to buy things. Everything you eat and wear is bought with money. For example, the horse you ride is worth about ten taels of silver. The best horse in our manor costs a thousand taels of silver." Zhu Chuanzong asked,

"You can buy a horse, but can you buy people?"

Nuanyun paused, then said sadly, "Yes, you can! Siji and the other maids were each bought for two taels of silver." "I paid ten taels of silver to your family."

Zhu Chuanzong asked curiously, "Then how many taels did I pay to buy you?"

Nuanyun and Siji were stunned for a moment, then burst into laughter. After laughing, Nuanyun said, "Young master, you are priceless and cannot be bought or sold. Our family's vast fortune will all be yours in the future. Our Zhu family is one of the most prominent families in the capital. If we don't count the royal family, our family is almost the richest in the world. Only you can buy from others, how can you let others buy from you?"

Just then, Xiaoyu and Zhu Shuiyue walked over from afar.

Siji exclaimed, "Miss is here!"

Nuanyun said, "The one next to Xiaoyu is your sister, go and greet her!"

Zhu Chuanzong saw that Xiaoyu had a graceful figure and a unique bone structure, with two slanted eyebrows that were particularly charming, but the woman beside her was even more elegant and graceful. She had spring flowers on her cheeks and autumn water in her eyes. She moved gracefully like a willow swaying in the wind, as light as if her clothes could not support her. Zhu Chuanzong was stunned by her beauty.

The woman lowered her head and smiled, parting her lips slightly as she spoke in a melodious voice, "Little brother, your sister is here. I heard you've become quite clever these days, is that true?"

Zhu Chuanzong stammered, "You're so beautiful! I thought the fairies in heaven were the most beautiful! I didn't expect you to be no less beautiful than them. If I wanted to buy you, I'd pay any price."

Zhu Shuiyue chuckled and said, "Fool, after hearing your first words, I was about to praise you for being clever and good at flattering people! But after hearing your last words, I realize you're still not cured." "Xiao Yu, is this what you meant by the young master being cured?"

Nuan Yun hurriedly said to Zhu Chuanzong, "Young master, we maids are all lower-class people, only we can be bought with money. You and Miss are upper-class people, you can't say you can be bought with money. This is for your sister, if you say it to other young ladies, they will be angry."

Zhu Chuanzong said, "But if you can be valuable, why can't we be?"

Xiao Yu sneered, "This is the unfairness of society! Do you think this is a good thing?"

Nuan Yun warned him, "No, you and Miss are noble..."

Zhu Shuiyue said gently, "My brother is indeed smart, he's starting to investigate these things. Actually, the principle is very simple. If our family has money, we can have food, clothes, shelter, and entertainment. We don't need money to sell ourselves, understand?"

Zhu Chuanzong said, "Sister is right, I understand a little."

Zhu Shuiyue sighed again, "Actually, every parent treats their children as treasures, treasures that cannot be sold for any amount of money. But only when they can't eat, when they are about to die from illness or starvation, will they have the heart to sell their children. " "Ah! I...aren't I just as pitiful?"

Seeing her become saddened by her past, Nuanyun and Xiaoyu quickly said, "Miss, don't be sad. Master and Madam love you so much now, treating you like their own daughter. What is there to be sad about?"

Zhu Shuiyue smiled through her tears and said, "Yes! I can never repay Master and Madam's kindness. I will do my best to be filial to them. Good brother, you must strive to be better, don't be so foolish anymore. If you become like a normal person, I would die content."

Zhu Chuanzong hurriedly said, "You're so beautiful, please don't die! I'm already smart. But there are many things I don't understand, but once you teach me, I understand! For example, money can buy things, and the things we eat are all bought. If you tell me this, I'll know. You're my sister, and look, Nuanyun told me, and I know too."

Zhu Shuiyue happily stroked Zhu Chuanzong's big head and said, "Little brother really knows how to talk now. If you have any difficulties, just tell your sister, and she will definitely help you."

Xiaoyu said, "Then, young master has become smarter, should we inform Madam?"

Zhu Shuiyue said, "No need yet, let me discuss it with Madam first."

Xiaoyu and Nuanyun nodded in agreement.

Seeing Zhu Shuiyue's kindness towards him, and being such a beautiful woman, Zhu Chuanzong felt a surge of affection for her. He reached out and pulled her aside, saying, "Sister, since you're not an outsider and treat me so well, I have a question for you."

Zhu Shuiyue said with satisfaction, "Little brother, it seems you've really become clever! You know your sister is your family. Tell me, and I'll definitely help you, even if it means sacrificing myself."

Zhu Chuanzong said happily, "Sister is so good, she's truly my sister! But you don't need to sacrifice yourself, I couldn't bear to. I just want to ask you..."

He leaned close to Zhu Shuiyue's ear and said, "That girl Dongxue can chant incantations. I don't understand them, but I've memorized them. Tell me what incantation it is." He continued

, "Falling white and turning red, each wounded; in the misty rain of the brothel, how can we forget each other..."

Zhu Shuiyue paused for a moment, then giggled and went to the other women, saying, "Listen to what your young master is asking me. He's asking what incantation Dongxue is chanting?"

She recited a few lines of the poem. The women burst into laughter, some laughing until tears streamed down their faces, others laughing until they were breathless.

Zhu Chuanzong was bewildered and furious. He said, "Sister, really! I'm not going to be friends with you anymore. It's fine if you don't help me, but why did you tell them and then make fun of me?" He

stormed off home.

Seeing that Zhu Chuanzong was truly angry, the women quickly stopped laughing and chased after him. Zhu Shuiyue said, "Good brother, that's a poem, not a curse. It's a poem called 'Falling Flowers' written by an ancient poet named Song Qi."

Zhu Chuanzong remained angry and silent. Zhu Shuiyue said, "I can teach you, as long as you don't get angry."

Although Zhu Chuanzong was still a little angry, he couldn't bear to part with such a beautiful sister, so he said, "Okay, but if poetry isn't a spell, what kind of magic is it, and what can I do with it?"

Zhu Shuiyue found his speech strange, but when Zhu Chuanzong was mentally challenged, he spoke even stranger, so she was used to it.

She said, "You can pass the imperial examinations to become a scholar, a provincial graduate, and then become an official." Zhu Chuanzong asked, "What do I do as an official?"

Zhu Shuiyue was taken aback, knowing that he wouldn't understand if she told him something complicated, so she said, "You can make money!"

Zhu Chuanzong was overjoyed and said, "Then with the money, I can buy Xiaoyu, Nuanyun, and Siji, right?"

Zhu Shuiyue said, "A real man..." "Men, for fame, fortune, and women, really are like that,"

Xiao Yu said. "Men, they're shameless . Once they have money, they're fickle and easily bored."

Zhu Chuanzong, seeing their displeasure, asked curiously, "I'm afraid you'll be bought by others, so I'm making money so that I can buy you back after you're sold! I can't bear to part with you, it's not that I'm fickle."

The women laughed and said, "What a fool! Do you think we're merchandise?"

They all returned to Yong'an Pavilion. The gifts Zhu Shuiyue's two maids had brought were there. Zhu Shuiyue had them separate Zhu Chuanzong's maids and then took out gifts for him. Zhu Chuanzong didn't care about his clothes or accessories, but when he saw the desserts, he didn't hesitate and immediately started eating them.

Upon seeing this, Zhu Shuiyue sighed, "Still the same old glutton, incorrigible."

Xiao Yu said, "That's much better than before! Although he hasn't lost weight these days, Young Master hasn't gained any more."

Zhu Shuiyue asked about Zhu Chuanzong's weight loss efforts, then said, "This haphazard dieting isn't a solution. I'll ask my sister-in-law for help, and get some imperial physicians from the Imperial Hospital to prescribe some medicine! Your young master used to absolutely refuse to follow instructions, but now he seems to understand a bit, so perhaps he can manage."

Zhu Shuiyue then gave Zhu Chuanzong some instructions, telling him to be obedient and not to be naughty, before leaving.

She went straight to find her sister-in-law, Hua Caiyun. Hua Caiyun, who lived in Guanyun Courtyard, saw Zhu Shuiyue enter with a beaming smile and said, "You saw your little brother Bao? Did you get some good luck? You seem so happy!"

Zhu Shuiyue smiled and said, "Sister-in-law, guess!"

Hua Caiyun said, "I don't have time for that! I saw Madam this morning and carefully explained all the accounts we collected to her. My mouth is still dry!"

Zhu Shuiyue said, "Madam is focused on Buddhist practice and doesn't pay attention to household affairs. Why do you have to work so hard? You don't need to report everything to Madam. There's so much to manage at home. Luckily, we have you, sister-in-law, otherwise, I don't know what to do!"

Hua Caiyun sighed, "That's true, but we're still considered outsiders. Your elder brother is gone. If he were still here, I would have someone to rely on and wouldn't have to worry about everything. Although Madam and Master treat us like their own children, we still can't let our guard down!"

Zhu Shuiyue smiled and said, "Who could doubt your heart, sister-in-law? You're overthinking it. I have some good news for you. Maybe we won't have to worry anymore." It’s over!

Hua Caiyun said: "What's going on?" The Zhu family has a great business, but unfortunately there is no successor. How can we not worry?

Zhu Shuiyue said with a smile: "Brother Bao seems to have woken up and become smarter." Is this a happy event?

Hua Caiyun was serving tea. When his hand shook, he almost dropped the water glass. He was so surprised that he almost shed tears in his eyes. He said, "There is still hope for this child. It's really not in vain that I have been treating him for so many years!" I'm just going to take a look.

Zhu Shuiyue said: "If it is true, what is my sister-in-law so anxious about?" It's better to invite him here. If he is really smart, he won't be able to change back. I was afraid that he was temporary, so I asked my sister-in-law to take a closer look at him. Sister-in-law, please don't get excited, take your time and take a look before talking.

Hua Caiyun calmed down and said, "That's right." If you are tired from the journey, go and rest! This is not a matter of urgency. If he continues to be confused, he will be like a fool, and it will be our fate, and we can't force it. "

Zhu Shuiyue said goodbye. In the evening, after dinner, Hua Caiyun sent someone to invite Zhu Chuanzong.

Xiao Yu and Nuan Yun brought Zhu Chuanzong over. Nuan Yun said to him, "Young Master, Madam treated you very well. Do you still remember her?"

Zhu Chuanzong shook his head and said, "I don't remember."

Xiao Yu said, "You're so heartless! Over the years, she took meticulous care of you, more attentive than any of us your personal maids. You were sometimes very close to her. How could you forget everything?"

Nuan Yun smiled and said, "Don't worry, just call that most beautiful and noble lady 'sister-in-law,' and you won't go wrong. Speak nicely to her later and make her happy, and you'll be fine. " "There will definitely be benefits for you."

Zhu Chuanzong said, "Will there be anything good to eat?"

Xiao Yu said, "All you ever think about is food, you're incorrigible."

Nuanyun smiled and said, "You're right. There really is something good to eat. Everything we eat, wear, use, and play with in our mansion is managed by the eldest young mistress, so do you think there are any benefits?"

Zhu Chuanzong smiled and said, "I remember."

They arrived at Guanyun Courtyard, entered a room, and a maid came out. She first greeted Zhu Chuanzong, then chatted and laughed with Xiao Yu and Nuanyun for a few moments before leading Zhu Chuanzong into the room, while Xiao Yu and Nuanyun stayed outside.

The maid was no less beautiful than Nuanyun, and was also pretty and charming. Zhu Chuanzong said, "What's your name? Is my sister-in-law prettier than you? Isn't she like a fairy?"

The maid smiled and said, "Second Master is really strange today, actually saying such things. Do you know what beauty and ugliness are? Hmm, you seem to have matured a bit, but you still don't remember me. My name is Ying'er. I've known you for so many years, and you still don't remember my name, yet you say I'm pretty! The two maids in your room are much prettier! But it's a pity, you only know how to waste such talent."

Zhu Chuanzong was a little confused. At this moment, they reached the door, and Ying'er called out, "Young Mistress, Second Master is here."

She pushed Zhu Chuanzong into the room and closed the door behind her.

The room was filled with smoke, and the lamplight obscured his vision.

Suddenly, a sweet voice said, "Take off your clothes and come in!"

Only then did Zhu Chuanzong see clearly that a beautiful woman was lying in a large bathtub, but her face was not clearly visible. Zhu Chuanzong was startled and quickly turned around, saying, "Who are you? I didn't know you were taking a bath! I'll go out first!"

The beautiful woman laughed, "Silly boy, trying to slack off again. You're always like this. I tell you to take a bath, but you refuse. Once you're in the bath, you play around and don't want to come out."

Saying this, she stepped out of the bath and grabbed Zhu Chuanzong.

Zhu Chuanzong had never seen anything like this before and was frightened, saying, "There's a difference between men and women! What are you doing?"

The beautiful woman laughed and said, "I don't know if you're really smart or just pretending. Why are you acting like a common man! I'm your sister-in-law. What's wrong with me bathing you? It's not the first or second time. I know exactly how many hairs you have on your body. And now you're telling me this?"

Without waiting for a reply, she began to undress him.

Zhu Chuanzong saw that she was wearing a very thin floral silk short shirt and light red trousers. Her skin was snow-white, and her features were exquisite. She was truly a stunning beauty, and her words carried an undeniable authority. Before Zhu Chuanzong knew it, she had stripped him naked.

Zhu Chuanzong was frightened and dared not move. He vaguely remembered being here before. The beauty took his large hand and led him into the pool, smiling, "We've been apart for so long, have you missed me?"

Zhu Chuanzong was unsure how to answer her intimate words. He remembered how he had been wronged and banished to the celestial realm in heaven because he had happened to see the Purple Silk Fairy bathing. Now, seeing another beauty bathing, what would his fate be? He was filled with unease.

Hua Caiyun said, "Why aren't you saying anything?"

Zhu Chuanzong said, "I'm scared. If someone finds out I'm bathing with a woman, will I be beheaded?"

Hua Caiyun said sternly, "You've already bathed with me many times, what's your punishment?"

Zhu Chuanzong hurriedly said, "I didn't know before! Don't blame me, you're the one pulling me now. I'll go out now..."

Hua Caiyun pulled his arm hard to stop Zhu Chuanzong, and laughed, "Silly boy, an elder sister-in-law is like a mother to you. I'm like a mother to you, and you're like a child. What's there to be afraid of in helping you bathe? Do you think you've grown up and don't care about me anymore? Sigh, I used to treat you so well..." "You've forgotten all that's good."

Zhu Chuanzong saw her angelic face, now tinged with sorrow, and felt a sudden pang of heartache. He suddenly remembered Nuanyun's words and quickly said, "Good sister-in-law, I remember you. You've been the best to me, and I'll be the best to you too."

Hua Caiyun exclaimed happily, "Really? Then you'll become smarter in the future, and not be so clueless, okay?"

Seeing her radiant joy, as bright and beautiful as a hundred flowers in bloom, Zhu Chuanzong couldn't help but say, "Of course! I'm incredibly smart! I'll make you both happy."

Hua Caiyun never imagined that the former simpleton would say such sweet words. She was even happier, her face beaming with joy.

Seeing her happy, Zhu Chuanzong forgot his fear, only feeling the fragrant scent in his nose, and was intoxicated. Seeing Hua Caiyun before him, with her fair skin, beautiful hair, and red lips, he was utterly captivated and lost in his infatuation.

Hua Caiyun saw that Zhu Chuanzong was indeed more articulate than before, and his eyes were bright and alert, unlike his previous dull and dazed appearance. He seemed to have truly become a normal person. Seeing him staring at her blankly, her heart suddenly pounded.

She had always treated Zhu Chuanzong like a child, like a mindless fool. Now, seeing his entranced expression, being looked at like that by a man, she couldn't help but feel a strange sensation.

She was initially at a loss, but soon calmed down and slowly began to wash herself. She carefully washed each toe of her snow-white, tender feet, and then washed her delicate face, which was as white as a silver basin. Her face was rosy, like two peach blossoms, and Zhu Chuanzong was mesmerized.

Zhu Chuanzong saw that Hua Caiyun's features were clear and bright, her hair thick and black, combed smoothly, highlighting her fair cheeks and snow-white neck, making her very pretty and lovely! Her clothes clung tightly to her chest, but her cleavage was faintly visible, plump and lovely. Zhu Chuanzong was amazed by the wonder of nature, thinking, "Heaven truly knows how to create people; there are such beauties in the world! They are truly beautiful!"

Hua Caiyun saw him staring in a daze and was secretly pleased, but deliberately scolded, "Silly boy, what are you looking at? Why aren't you washing?"

Zhu Chuanzong then came to his senses, quickly turned his gaze away, and began to wash himself. Seeing that the water was full of fresh flowers, emitting various refreshing scents, he said, "Sister-in-law, why are these flowers in the pool?" "?"

Hua Caiyun said, "This is a flower bath for beauty. Legend has it that in the previous dynasty, there was a famous beauty named Yang Guifei. Every time she bathed in the Huaqing Pool of her palace, she liked to use fresh flowers to line the pool, and over time, she developed skin as smooth as jade."

Zhu Chuanzong's eyes gleamed as he said, "No wonder your skin is so good, sister-in-law, so that's how it is."

Hua Caiyun smiled and said, "Is my skin good? If you want to touch it, you can."

Zhu Chuanzong happily said, "May I? Then I won't be polite."

He gently stroked Hua Caiyun's arm.

Seeing his cautiousness, only touching her fragrant arm and not daring to be presumptuous, Hua Caiyun chuckled inwardly and said, "This flower bath method usually uses fresh flowers such as chrysanthemum and honeysuckle, supplemented with Chinese herbs with beautifying effects such as ginseng, lingzhi, angelica, angelica dahurica, motherwort, and pearl. In this way, during the bath, it can treat some diseases and at the same time make the skin moist and smooth. You've been bathing with me for many years. Hehe, maybe you're not so silly now because of this flower bath!"

Zhu Chuanzong's face turned red as he stared at Hua Caiyun's chest, touching her jade-like arm that was as smooth as a snow lotus root. Seeing her smooth skin and fragrant bones, and her round, full buttocks that were faintly visible in the water, and her skin as white as powder and snow, Zhu Chuanzong couldn't help but feel his heart pounding. As for the wonderful place below Hua Caiyun's belly, although Zhu Chuanzong secretly wanted to see it, he was afraid and dared not even think about it.

Seeing Zhu Chuanzong's lecherous expression, Hua Caiyun thought, "This fool has finally become a normal person; he can actually look at women now."

She laughed, "Is my sister-in-law pretty?"

Zhu Chuanzong nodded blankly.

Hua Caiyun said, "Then do you want to see here?"

pointing to her breasts.

Zhu Chuanzong seemed uneasy, but he really wanted to see them, and like a madman, he only glared at her with longing.

Hua Caiyun found it amusing and gently unhooked her bra, revealing a pair of large, beautiful, and flawless breasts before Zhu Chuanzong's eyes. Even

when Zhu Chuanzong was in heaven, peeping at the Purple Silk Fairy bathing, he had never seen such a thing. Now, seeing it, a surge of heat rushed to his head, and his joy was beyond measure. Suddenly, he felt a warm flow on his chin; he touched it and found it sticky. He heard Hua Caiyun exclaim, "My dear brother, why is your nose bleeding! Quick, someone come! Ying'er, come quick!"

Chapter Six: Rebirth

After the nosebleed incident, Hua Caiyun realized that Zhu Chuanzong had indeed become more shrewd. Although she still found him somewhat strange, she was pleased to see that he was quite articulate and understood what she said. Moreover, he seemed to have the same thoughts as a normal person, even appreciating women.

She initially intended to inform her parents, but feared that it would be too rash and make the whole household aware of the matter. If Zhu Chuanzong reverted to his old, muddle-headed ways, it would be difficult to handle the situation. Therefore, after much thought, she invited Zhu Shuiyue over and said, "Sister, I think Bao'er has indeed become smarter, but to be on the safe side, let's wait a few more days. Please take care of him and keep an eye on him these days. If he needs anything, just let me know." Zhu Shuiyue

smiled and said, "Sister-in-law, you're too kind. It's our own business, why be so polite? Brother Bao has been transformed, hasn't he? Amitabha! Our Zhu family will have an heir now." Hua

Caiyun was also radiant and repeatedly agreed.

Zhu Shuiyue said, "Sister-in-law, Bao-di'er isn't stupid anymore. I heard from his two personal maids that he's on a diet! Letting him try whatever methods he wants might not be effective. Why don't we invite a doctor from the Imperial Hospital to prescribe some medicine for him?"

Hua Caiyun was overjoyed and said, "That's wonderful! If Madam sees Bao-er become smarter and more handsome again in a few days, wouldn't she be overjoyed? Let's do it that way! I'll send someone to invite Doctor Zhang immediately."

Doctor Zhang's name was Zhang Chaozhong, a renowned doctor in the Imperial Hospital, one of the five top physicians diagnosing patients for the palace. He had always maintained a close relationship with the Zhu family; otherwise, even for a high-ranking official, it would be difficult to get a royal physician like him. Doctor

Zhang was invited to the Zhu family. Hua Caiyun, having just returned home and having many matters to attend to, only met with Doctor Zhang briefly before taking her leave, leaving Zhu Shuiyue to handle the matter.

Doctor Zhang was an old acquaintance of the Zhu family. He had put in a great deal of effort to treat Zhu Chuanzong's dementia, but ultimately gave up with regret, believing that Zhu Chuanzong was born disabled and his dementia was incurable unless a miracle occurred.

When Doctor Zhang heard that he had been invited because of Zhu Chuanzong's weight loss, he shook his head and said, "Young Master Bao's illness is in his brain, not elsewhere. Even if I prescribe medicine, if he continues to eat and sleep recklessly, he will still gain weight. I cannot cure this disease."

Zhu Shuiyue quickly grabbed him, saying, "You old man, I haven't finished speaking, and you're already in a hurry to leave. Are you afraid I'll eat you?" Doctor Zhang laughed

, "Miss, what are you saying? Why would I be afraid of you? I have patients waiting for me, that's why I have to leave. Saving lives is like putting out a fire!"

Zhu Shuiyue retorted, "Come on, I know you too well. You're afraid I'll learn your medical skills... " Yicai avoided me. Don't worry! Last time you promised me to let me learn medical skills from you, but then you didn't come to visit me for several months. I knew you were always coaxing me, and I had long given up the idea of learning medical skills from you.

Doctor Zhang stroked his beard and said with a smile: "That's good, that's good." You are a wealthy lady, but you can't afford those hardships. Learning medical skills is no joke. What else do you want?

Zhu Shuiyue said: "Your medical skills are too poor. Even if you ask me to learn from you, I won't learn from you."

Dr. Zhang blew his beard and said, "My medical skills are poor. How can this be justified?"

Zhu Shuiyue said: "It's not bad. My brother's illness is cured!" Who said it was hopeless?

Doctor Zhang kept saying it was impossible.

Zhu Shuiyue said: "If he is not good, why would he ask you to help him lose weight?" Let's go! Make you convinced. "

When he came to Yong'an Pavilion, when he saw Zhu Chuanzong, Doctor Zhang asked him some questions. Seeing that Zhu Chuanzong answered fluently, not like a fool, he said curiously: "Impossible, impossible." "

Checking the pulse of Zhu Chuanzong's eyes, he exclaimed again and again.

Seeing that Doctor Zhang also felt Zhu Chuanzong was cured and no longer senile, Zhu Shuiyue was pleased and said, "You quack! We invited you to help him lose weight, what are you doing?"

Doctor Zhang sighed and said, "Things in this world are indeed unpredictable! No matter how skilled I am, I can still misjudge. Heaven is truly amazing."

Then he asked Zhu Chuanzong, "Second Young Master, how did you get better?"

Zhu Chuanzong said, "This... I don't know, I just got better inexplicably."

He was originally a celestial being, banished to the mortal realm. He should have forgotten his past life, but Laozi gave him an elixir, causing him to be born senile, but retaining some of his divine essence. When the time was right, he recovered and remembered some things from his time in heaven, and also retained some of his magical powers. However, because he was too fat, he couldn't use his magical powers. Sometimes, only in the middle of the night when no one was around could he occasionally transform back into his true form, but how could he tell outsiders about this?

Fortunately, Doctor Zhang said, "I'm so stupid, how could you know this! Let me study it slowly and then I'll give you some advice! If you want to lose weight, just listen to the old man's instructions, and you'll be able to."

Zhu Chuanzong said, "Thank you very much."

Doctor Zhang said, "You should drink more tea. I'll prescribe a formula that's very effective: lotus leaf slimming tea."

He instructed Zhu Chuanzong's maids, Nuanyun and Xiaoyu, "Take fresh lotus leaves, cut them into pieces, dry them in the sun, and steep them in boiling water to drink as tea. One month is one course of treatment. Stop for ten days before drinking again. You'll see noticeable results after three courses of treatment."

After saying this, Doctor Zhang looked at another slimming formula called: Hawthorn and Job's Tears Water.

The formula is as follows: Function: Diuretic, eliminates stagnation, slimming.

Ingredients: 2 ounces of hawthorn, 3 ounces of raw Job's tears, 2 pieces of dried tangerine peel.

Method: Wash all ingredients thoroughly, soak them in 10 bowls of cold water, boil for two hours, and add a little rock sugar to taste before turning off the heat. (Note: Rock sugar should not be cooked for too long, otherwise it will turn sour.) Notes: Raw Job's tears promote urination and help eliminate excess water from the body; hawthorn is excellent for digesting meat and helps break down accumulated fat in the intestines.

Contraindications: Not suitable for those with a sweet tooth, otherwise the more they eat, the more their appetite will increase, and their waistline will increase instead of decreasing. Not suitable for those with excessive stomach acid, otherwise taking antacids will be ineffective.

After writing the prescription, Dr. Zhang said, "These are all medicines, and you also need to change your lifestyle habits to help you lose weight. You should exercise more and sleep less."

Zhu Chuanzong said, "I only sleep eight hours a day now, and I spend most of my time exercising. Otherwise, those girls will start talking about me."

Dr. Zhang was overjoyed and said, "Good, you really have willpower. If you eat one steamed bun at each meal, I'm sure you'll lose weight immediately."

Zhu Chuanzong happily said, "That's great! That's too easy. But, should I eat it before or after meals?"

Dr. Zhang was dumbfounded and said, "Only one steamed bun at each meal... " "No, you can't eat!"

Zhu Chuanzong said dejectedly, "Won't I starve to death?"

Doctor Zhang said, "If you're hungry, you can eat fruit! At first, you can eat a little rice, but you have to reduce the amount each day until you can only eat one steamed bun per meal. Of course, it's okay to eat more vegetables."

Zhu Chuanzong sighed, "Aren't you just asking them to kill me? I can't do that."

Zhu Shuiyue said, "It's alright, take it slow, just do your best. If it really doesn't work, there's nothing we can do."

Zhu Chuanzong said happily, "Sister is so kind."

Doctor Zhang finished writing the prescription and took his leave.

Zhu Chuanzong saw that there wasn't a single word he recognized on the prescription written by Doctor Zhang, and said, "Is this some kind of heavenly book? Why can't I read it?"

Zhu Shuiyue replied, "It's because you can't read. If you learn to write, you'll naturally recognize it."

Zhu Chuanzong saw that Zhu Shuiyue was very beautiful with her bright eyes and white teeth, and said with a grin, "If you teach me, I'll learn."

Zhu Shuiyue said happily, "Really? That's wonderful. Okay, I'll start teaching you today."

Zhu Chuanzong and Zhu Shuiyue arrived at Zhu Chuanzong's study. Apart from the cleaning maids and servants, no one had been there for years. After Nuanyun and Xiaoyu brought tea, they left, allowing the two to study in peace.

Zhu Shuiyue smiled, "I never thought you'd be in a study one day."

Zhu Chuanzong replied, "What's wrong with being in a study? It's not hell. Why can't I come?"

Zhu Shuiyue said, "You can. Well, being fifteen isn't too late. Great talents mature late! But you'll have to work hard. Most people start studying at four or five!"

Zhu Shuiyue began teaching him the easiest texts, like the *Three Character Classic* and the *Hundred Family Surnames*.

Zhu Chuanzong retained the wisdom of an immortal, possessing a photographic memory. Although his new physical body and pig-like obesity obscured much of his intelligence, he was still many times smarter than the average person. He could remember any character Zhu Shuiyue taught him even once.

At first, Zhu Shuiyue wasn't surprised, thinking he might forget it soon. At the end of the day, she was astonished to see that he recognized all the characters in the *Three Character Classic* and *Hundred Family Surnames*, and could recite them flawlessly.

The next day, Zhu Chuanzong, while taking diet pills, also studied and practiced with Zhu Shuiyue.

On the first day, Zhu Chuanzong was focused and learned a great deal. On the second day, having become more familiar with Zhu Shuiyue, he became unruly. Finding her voice pleasant, he deliberately didn't understand and asked her to read the texts several times.

Zhu Shuiyue didn't suspect anything, assuming he wasn't as clever as the day before, which was normal, and she was relieved.

Zhu Chuanzong learned what Zhu Shuiyue taught him after just one reading and began to play around, saying, "Sister, your hands are so warm and fragrant, what powder did you put on?"

He picked up her delicate hands and smelled them.

Zhu Shuiyue laughed, "Little brother, I know you're naive, I don't blame you. But if you do this with other women, you'll be scolded. Men and women shouldn't touch each other, do you know that?"

Zhu Chuanzong certainly knew that men and women shouldn't be intimate, even in heaven, where the rules were much stricter than on earth. But Zhu Chuanzong pretended not to know.

Zhu Shuiyue then began to tell him about the Confucian and Mencian doctrines of the Great Liang Kingdom, its customs, traditions, and laws.

Listening, Zhu Chuanzong gradually understood some of the customs and traditions of the Great Liang Kingdom.

Two hours later, Nuanyun brought some fruit. Zhu Chuanzong complained that he was hungry and wanted some dessert. Nuanyun said, "Have you forgotten the doctor's instructions?"

Then she invited Zhu Chuanzong to go for a walk.

Seeing that Zhu Shuiyue wouldn't help him, Zhu Chuanzong had no choice but to go out with Xiaoyu, Siji, and the other maids. Upon reaching a rockery, Zhu Chuanzong sat down on a stone bench, claiming he was tired. No matter how much Xiao Yu and the others pleaded, he refused to get up, saying, "I'm starving, and I'm too weak to move."

Xiao Yu got angry, but it didn't work. Finally, she pleaded, "Good young master, I beg you, just get up and play with us. What do you want in return?"

Zhu Chuanzong was simply too lazy to move. He had studied for two hours, eaten only two apples, and hadn't had a full breakfast. He really didn't want to move at all. Seeing Xiao Yu's eagerness, a thought suddenly struck him. Staring at the girls' bright red lips, he said, "I won't move unless you let me kiss your lips."

Siji blushed with embarrassment, saying, "When did Young Master become so shameless? A rogue!"

Xiao Yu's eyes darted around, and she laughed, "Alright then! Whichever of these girls you catch, you can kiss them."

Zhu Chuanzong exclaimed happily, "Really?"

Staring at Xiao Yu's beautiful lips, he asked, "What if I catch you?"

Xiao Yu raised an eyebrow, saying, "You fat pig, are you asking for a beating? Aren't four girls enough for you?"

Zhu Chuanzong was somewhat afraid of her and dared not say anything more. He yelled and pounced on Siji.

Even though Zhu Chuanzong, a fat man weighing over 300 pounds, was more agile than before, how could he possibly catch four nimble little girls? After a while, he was drenched in sweat but hadn't touched a single hair on the four maids' heads.

Exhausted, Zhu Chuanzong collapsed to the ground, yelling, "I'm not playing anymore! You're bullying me!"

Siji chuckled and approached him, saying, "Young Master's giving up, starting to cheat!"

Zhu Chuanzong retorted, "There are four of you, and I'm all alone. It's not fair. I'm ignoring you all! You're all mean, ganging up on me!"

He then began rolling around on the ground.

Chunfeng, unable to bear it any longer, rushed to help him, saying, "Young Master, please don't do this! Look how dirty your clothes are!"

But Zhu Chuanzong rolled over, grabbed her, and laughed, "Haha, I've caught someone!"

He pulled Chunfeng into his arms and thrust his lips into hers, kissing her deeply.

Chunfeng cried out in alarm, "Help..." before

her mouth was sealed shut.

The women were all stunned. Catching her breath, Chunfeng cried out, "Young Master's gone mad! Aren't you coming to help?"

Before she could finish, her mouth was sealed shut again.

The remaining three seasons were stunned. It took them a while to recover, and they rushed over to pull Zhu Chuanzong away, crying, "Alright! Young Master, one kiss is enough!"

But Zhu Chuanzong laughed heartily, released Chunfeng, and grabbed Dongxue, who was on his right, and kissed her.

Dongxue's small mouth went limp from the kiss, and she fainted.

Zhu Chuanzong kissed her a few more times, and seeing her body go limp, realized something was wrong and quickly released Dongxue, only then realizing she had fainted.

Xiao Yu, who had been watching the commotion from the sidelines, hurried over and checked Dongxue's breathing. She breathed a sigh of relief and laughed, "It's alright, she just fainted. She'll wake up soon."

Sanji laughed, and Xia Yu teased, "Chunfeng, look how shameless you are! Look at Dongxue, she fainted from shyness after just one kiss from the young master!"

Chunfeng blushed and said, "No way! It must be the young master's bad breath that made Dongxue faint. I'm from a poor family, I'm not that delicate! That's why I didn't faint. If you're not convinced, you can try it yourself."

Seeing that Dongxue was alright, and that the women didn't blame him, Zhu Chuanzong became happy and laughed, "Alright! Alright! Everyone give her a kiss, let's see who's still shy."

The women all said, "You wish!" A little while later, Dongxue woke up, extremely shy. Knowing she was always shy, the women dared not tease her further, fearing she would lose face, and went back to Yong'an Pavilion together.

Upon arriving home, Siji took her leave and went outside to wait for a summons. Xiaoyu twisted Zhu Chuanzong's ear and said, "You fat pig, you've become so lecherous! Don't all normal men have lustful thoughts?"

Zhu Chuanzong begged for mercy, saying, "You girls are so beautiful and lovely, it's harmless for me to joke around!"

Xiaoyu exclaimed in surprise, "Miss didn't teach you for nothing! You've even learned to use words now."

Seeing that Xiaoyu seemed somewhat pleased, Zhu Chuanzong said, "Xiaoyu, you won't let me kiss you, is it because I'm too ugly? Let go of my ear, and I'll tell you a secret." Seeing Zhu Chuanzong's

mysterious look, Xiaoyu said, "I'll let go, but if you're lying to me and don't have a secret to tell me, I won't let you off easily."

Saying this, she let go of his ear.

Zhu Chuanzong whispered in Xiao Yu's ear, "Xiao Yu, actually I'm a celestial being descended to earth. I'm not that ugly at all! If I became beautiful, would you like me? Would you let me kiss you?"

Xiao Yu looked at Zhu Chuanzong helplessly and said, "You idiot, now you're not only lecherous, but you also lie and deceive people!"

Zhu Chuanzong hurriedly said, "Really! I'm not lying to you. Aren't you sleeping in my room tonight? I'll show you."

Seeing that Zhu Chuanzong was serious and didn't seem to be joking, Xiao Yu said, "Okay, I'll see what tricks you play tonight. If you're lying to me, hmph, you'll be in big trouble."

Xiao Yu was a clever and observant person. She hadn't slept and waited until midnight before waking Zhu Chuanzong up, saying, "Young Master, didn't you say you could transform?"

Zhu Chuanzong, still sleepy, said, "Why aren't you sleeping? Waiting! I said I'd wake you! Alright, I'll show you first, so you won't look down on me. Hehe, if I transform into a handsome man, you'll all love me to bits."

Seeing his confidence, Xiao Yu stopped arguing and said, "Then hurry up and transform."

Zhu Chuanzong muttered, "Heavenly spirits, earthly spirits, Lord of the Sun, quickly reveal yourself."

After he finished, there was no reaction.

Seeing Xiao Yu's mocking expression, Zhu Chuanzong quickly said, "Don't rush, this takes time."

He recalled how, when he tried to transform Nuanyun, he had been anxious and his mind was unsettled, resulting in no transformation. He cleared his mind, took a deep breath, and slowly began chanting the incantation.

However, no matter what he did, Zhu Chuanzong failed.

Xiao Yu clapped her hands and laughed, "Heavenly spirits, earthly spirits, my young master reveals his true form—a big fat pig!"

After her interference, Zhu Chuanzong was even less able to transform, and after being ridiculed by Xiao Yu, he went to sleep sullenly.

The next day, Zhu Chuanzong studied with his beautiful older sister, Zhu Shuiyue. Zhu Shuiyue already knew about his romantic escapades and teased Zhu Chuanzong about kissing Dongxue unconscious the day before. Zhu Chuanzong, quick-witted, said, "Sister, I made Dongxue faint, I feel really bad. How can I make her happy? Will you teach me to recite poetry?"

Zhu Shuiyue was surprised, thinking, "Bao'er is indeed a normal man now."

On one hand, she was happy for him, but on the other hand, as a woman, she felt some resentment towards him for being too lecherous. But Zhu Shuiyue was, after all, Zhu Chuanzong's sister, and helping her brother was only natural, so she said, "Brother is indeed clever. Okay, I'll teach you a poem. Dongxue likes to read alone in the right corner of the garden while everyone else is taking a nap. When you recite the poem then, she will definitely be happy and will like you."

Zhu Chuanzong was overjoyed and immediately begged Zhu Shuiyue to teach him quickly. Zhu Shuiyue first explained some basic knowledge of poetry and prose to him, then recited a poem for him: "A hundred turns, a thousand sounds, moving at will, mountain flowers red and purple, trees high and low. Only now do I realize that listening to it locked in a golden cage is not as good as its free song in the forest."

Zhu Shuiyue said, "This poem is called 'The Thrush,' written by the ancient poet Ouyang Xiu. On the surface, it's about a thrush, but it's actually a metaphor for a person. A beautiful woman, though beautiful and talented, is confined to a large, secluded mansion, unable to be free, merely a toy for others to admire—how distressing that is! Recite this poem to Dongxue." She must regard you as her confidant.

Zhu Chuanzong frowned and sighed: "Yes, I am also a thrush." In this big garden, I have never been out, and I have no idea what the outside world is like.

Zhu Shuiyue was stunned, staring at Zhu Chuanzong for a long time, and then said: "Brother, not only are you not stupid anymore, you are also very smart!" My sister is really happy. Don't worry, when my sister-in-law tells the wife and the old lady, knowing that you are smart now, they will allow you to leave the house and see the world outside. "

Zhu Chuanzong grabbed Zhu Shuiyue's little hand and said happily: "Really? Great. At that time I took my sister out to play.

Zhu Shuiyue broke free from his big hand and said: "We girls can't show our faces easily." How many times have I told you not to do anything? I am your sister, not like those girls.

Zhu Chuanzong smiled and said, "What's the difference?" You are not my biological sister.

Zhu Shuiyue made a sound and said, "Do you understand this?" Who taught you that? But my brother still doesn’t understand the rules. Although we are not related by blood, in secular terms "Legally, I am your older sister. Remember, you're not allowed to touch your sister again."

Zhu Chuanzong said matter-of-factly, "Then how did you touch me before? Nuanyun and the others said you used to bathe me."

Zhu Shuiyue was speechless for a moment, and after a long while, she said, "Aren't you all grown up now?"

Zhu Chuanzong said with a grin, "Even if you're grown up, you still have to be good to me. I'll still let you bathe me in the future."

Zhu Shuiyue blushed at first, and then suddenly retorted, "Okay! If your nose bleeds and you need someone to treat you, don't blame me."

Now it was Zhu Chuanzong's turn to feel ashamed.

05-15
Chapter Seven: Triumph in

the Capital At noon, Zhu Shuiyue helped Zhu Chuanzong sneak out of the room so that Nuanyun and the others wouldn't see him. Zhu Chuanzong saw Dongxue sitting on a stone chair, staring blankly at the blooming flowers.

Zhu Chuanzong walked to a tree next to her, hid himself, and slowly recited the poem he had just learned. Hearing the sound, Dongxue stood up in surprise and went to the tree. Looking at Zhu Chuanzong, her eyes were filled with joy and excitement, but slowly her expression dimmed.

Dongxue bit her lip and whispered, "It's a pity Young Master is too fat, otherwise..."

After thinking for a moment, she smiled and said, "Young Master, I know you did this for me, thank you."

Zhu Chuanzong didn't answer, but slowly said, "I will definitely lose weight."

He then turned and left.

Dongxue quickly chased after him, but no matter how she tried to cheer him up, he remained silent. When they reached the other women, Dongxue dared not speak to Zhu Chuanzong again.

That evening, Zhu Chuanzong claimed he wasn't hungry and wouldn't eat. Xiaoyu and Nuanyun didn't believe him and asked curiously, "Young Master, are you really not hungry? Or do you want something to eat? Do you want us to make it for you?"

Zhu Chuanzong angrily retorted, "Do you think I'm a pig? All I know is eating? Will I starve to death if I skip a few meals?"

The two women, seeing that he really wouldn't eat, were surprised but also happy. However, Xiao Yu whispered to Nuan Yun, "Sister, I think the young master will definitely be hungry by midnight. You should prepare some food early to avoid trouble tonight."

Nuan Yun said, "You're right."

But that night, Zhu Chuanzong slept soundly and didn't get up all night. Nuan Yun was worried and got up several times, but he was sleeping soundly each time.

The next morning, Nuan Yun specially asked the kitchen to prepare many of Zhu Chuanzong's favorite dishes, thinking he would definitely have a big meal. But Zhu Chuanzong got up and said, "I'm not eating."

Nuan Yun and Xiao Yu looked at each other and said, "What's wrong with him? Is it because we didn't take good care of him?"

Zhu Chuanzong said, "It's none of your business. Who told me to be so fat like a pig? I hate eating. It's all because of these damn delicacies."

Seeing that Zhu Chuanzong was angry and wouldn't eat, Nuan Yun and Xiao Yu tried to persuade him for a while, but seeing his firm attitude, they had no choice but to have Siji remove the table.

By noon, Zhu Chuanzong still hadn't eaten. Xiao Yu grew anxious and went to his side, fidgeting with her clothes, her face slightly flushed. She said, "Young Master, I didn't mean to call you 'fat pig' when I called you that. I did it for your own good, to keep you healthy!"

Zhu Chuanzong replied, "I know, that's why I'm trying to lose weight! I'm determined to lose weight, even if I starve to death, I won't eat."

Xiao Yu said quietly, "So you're blaming me? Can't I even apologize?"

Zhu Chuanzong asked curiously, "What does it have to do with you! I'm not angry with you. You don't need to persuade me, I'm not hungry."

Xiao Yu said, "Then eat a little, and I'll know you're not angry with me."

Zhu Chuanzong said, "Whether I eat or not is my own business. You can leave now! I want to sleep."

Xiao Yu had no choice but to leave and ask Nuanyun to try and persuade him, but Zhu Chuanzong covered his head with the blanket and ignored them.

That evening, Zhu Chuanzong still refused to eat, and no amount of persuasion from the women could dissuade him. Zhu Chuanzong thought of his former status as a celestial being, now fallen to earth, as fat as a pig, slow-moving, and clumsy as an old man, mocked by some beautiful women—how could he bear it? Enraged, he resolved to starve himself to lose weight.

The next day, Xiao Yu and Nuan Yun saw that Zhu Chuanzong still refused to eat, too weak to even speak, and were both distressed and frightened. They rushed to Guanyun Courtyard to report to the eldest mistress, Hua Caiyun.

Hua Caiyun, who had important business to attend to, was immediately alarmed upon hearing the two maids' words. She rushed to Yong'an Pavilion, summoned all the maids, and shouted, "Why isn't the young master eating? You are all always by his side, doesn't one of you know? If you speak out now, even if you make a mistake, I won't punish you. Otherwise… hmph, the servant Agui will suffer the same fate."

The servant Agui had been beaten to death, and the women fell silent in fear.

After a while, Dongxue came out with tears in her eyes and said, "Reporting to Grandmother, I don't know if it's because of me that Young Master is like this."

Hua Caiyun said with a stern face, "Tell me."

Dongxue said, "Young Master recited a poem for me, and I accidentally said he was fat. He got a little angry, so I don't know if it's because of me..."

Hua Caiyun breathed a sigh of relief and laughed and scolded, "This stupid fool, so it's because of a woman."

Then she said coldly, "Dongxue, how dare you insult your master? Although it's not entirely your fault, you know Young Master is a fool, that's all. Why don't you know how to be careful? This matter is yours to handle. Make sure he eats, otherwise, don't blame me for acting according to the family rules."

After saying that, Hua Caiyun flicked her sleeves and left with the maids who had come with her.

After Hua Caiyun left, Xiao Yu glared at Dong Xue, poked her forehead with her finger, and said angrily, "You! You're just a maid like me, yet you try to act like a young lady, spouting romantic nonsense. Now look what's happened, you've made that idiot like this. Go and coax him to eat, or if we're all going to die, we'll use you as a cushion first."

Dong Xue was already crying her eyes out. Nuan Yun laughed, "Alright, Xiao Yu, look at your sharp tongue, saying such hurtful things! Now that we know the reason, the young master's matter isn't difficult to handle. Why are you still blaming Dong Xue?"

Xiao Yu retorted angrily, "I'm angry that she didn't say it sooner. She only said it shamelessly after the eldest mistress came in person. If that's the case, where were you before?"

The other women comforted her while telling Dong Xue to take a plate of food to persuade Zhu Chuanzong to eat.

Dong Xue arrived at Zhu Chuanzong's bedside with tears in her eyes.

Zhu Chuanzong opened his eyes and saw Dongxue. He asked in surprise, "Where are they? Why did you come alone? Have you been crying?"

Dongxue said, "Young Master, please forgive Dongxue! If you don't eat, I'll have no choice but to throw myself into the well to atone for my sins."

Zhu Chuanzong said, "What happened? Is it that serious?"

Dongxue said, "The eldest young mistress came by and found out you weren't eating because I said something about you... that's why... I'm finished this time. If you don't eat, I don't know what will happen!" She finished

speaking and tears streamed down her face.

Zhu Chuanzong felt sorry for her and said, "Alright! I'll eat. But I really want to lose weight!"

Dongxue said, "You can eat a little, but you can't not eat! Actually, I'm not saying anything bad about you, Young Master, it's just that if you were a little more... normal, that would be better."

Zhu Chuanzong smiled and said, "Don't worry, I'll definitely lose weight in the future."

Dongxue scolded, "Why are you still taking my words to heart? You're being nice to me, Young Master, that's already a sign of respect for me. Don't do anything foolish again!" She

took the plate and fed Zhu Chuanzong some porridge. Zhu Chuanzong looked at her small, delicate hands and couldn't help but admire them.

Dongxue said, "As long as you're willing to eat, I'll feed you every day."

Zhu Chuanzong was overjoyed.

Zhu Shuiyue went out for a few days and returned from offering incense. Upon hearing about Zhu Chuanzong's hunger strike, she mocked him for half a day, saying, "You're so young, and you already know how to flirt. When you're older, won't you cause chaos?"

Zhu Chuanzong, unable to argue with his sister, could only chuckle and say, "The books say, 'A hero's anger for a woman is his true nature!' Am I wrong?"

Zhu Shuiyue's bright eyes sparkled, and she exclaimed in surprise, "You've memorized the words I taught you so quickly? You can read by yourself? That's amazing!"

Zhu Chuanzong laughed heartily and said, "I've finally been praised by my sister. I'm not a good-for-nothing, am I?"

He was beaming with pride, and Zhu Shuiyue was happy too.

Zhu Chuanzong ate less, exercised more, and took diet pills, gradually losing weight. But losing weight is no easy task. He still weighed 200 pounds, much heavier than the average person.

That night, Zhu Chuanzong lay in bed, sighing. Nuanyun smiled and said, "My young master, what's wrong? Has someone upset you again?"

Zhu Chuanzong said, "No one has upset me. You all treat me very well. I just hate myself for being so stupid and still so fat. It really makes me sad."

Nuanyun smiled and said, "Young master, you're just making trouble for yourself. You're always cooped up at home and haven't seen anyone outside. Actually, many people outside are fat, but they're just as happy! Besides, many officials in the court are fat! But they're all very successful. Who dares to look down on them?"

Zhu Chuanzong said, "Really? But why are you all so thin?"

Nuanyun chuckled and said, "You're such a fool. We're girls! Of course we have to be thin. We're afraid that you'll continue to sleep too much and not exercise, and over time, your body will..." "Your body will collapse! That's why we made you lose weight. But if you listen to us, it's okay if you stay this fat. As long as you're healthy, it's fine!"

Zhu Chuanzong said, "Then, even though I'm so fat, do you still like me?"

Nuanyun said, "You're our young master, of course I like you!"

Zhu Chuanzong said disappointedly, "If I weren't your young master, you wouldn't like me."

Nuanyun smiled and said, "I like you the same way! Whether you're fat or thin, rich or poor, I like you the same way. Is that alright now?"

Zhu Chuanzong was overjoyed, "leaped" up, grabbed Nuanyun's hand, and said, "Really? You're not lying to me?"

Nuanyun said, "If I lied to you, I'd die a horrible death. Young master is smart now, I like him very much!"

Zhu Chuanzong said, "You're so good to me."

After saying that, he put his arm around Nuanyun and held her in his arms.

Nuanyun couldn't break free, so she had to let him.

Zhu Chuanzong gently kissed her rosy lips, and Nuanyun let him. The two were lost in the moment, unable to extricate themselves.

After a while, Zhu Chuanzong reached out to unbutton Nuanyun's clothes. Nuanyun groaned, "Young Master, this won't do."

Zhu Chuanzong said matter-of-factly, "Haven't you been helping me bathe all this time? Why can you look at me but I can't look at you?"

Nuanyun said, "That's different. That was me serving you! Now it's different. In short, you can't look."

Zhu Chuanzong said, "Even my sister-in-law lets me look, why can't you?"

Nuanyun had heard about Zhu Chuanzong's nosebleeds, and hearing this now, a blush rose to her face. She dared not speak carelessly about Hua Caiyun's affairs, so after thinking for a moment, she smiled playfully, "I'm afraid you'll bleed again."

Zhu Chuanzong said, "It won't."

He forcefully tried to pull off Nuanyun's clothes. Nuanyun was always docile, so she half-heartedly gave in.

Seeing Nuanyun's radiant appearance, Zhu Chuanzong, though not yet having engaged in any improper relationship, became increasingly affectionate. Their relationship naturally became more than ordinary, and Zhu Chuanzong treated Nuanyun differently from other maids.

Zhu Chuanzong gradually lost weight; although he still weighed around 170-180 pounds, his physique was quite pleasing to the eye. Moreover, at this point, losing any further weight would be extremely difficult.

Zhu Chuanzong secretly dieted, and several times when his wife and the matriarch wanted to see him, Hua Caiyun found excuses to prevent them from doing so. Now, Zhu Chuanzong had lost a considerable amount of weight, looked normal again, and had even read a lot more books—it was truly astonishing. Hua Caiyun and Zhu Shuiyue wanted to find a good opportunity to inform his wife and the matriarch, and then tell his husband, Zhu Youji, to give them a big surprise. Wouldn't that be the happiest thing for the whole family to celebrate?

Hua Caiyun and Zhu Shuiyue pondered the appropriate time to announce this joyous news, but coincidentally, a major event occurred that day.

That day, a message came from Nuanyun's home saying that her mother was seriously ill and asking her to return home. Although Zhu Chuanzong was reluctant to let her go, he couldn't force her to stay because of her family's troubles, so he instructed her, "Go and come back as soon as possible. If the old lady needs any medicine, just tell me and I'll have someone buy it."

Nuanyun was sent there by the Zhu family's carriage, and they were to pick her up in the evening. However, after half a day, Zhu Chuanzong couldn't wait any longer and said to Xiaoyu, "Let's go out and see how your sister Nuanyun is doing."

Xiaoyu thought for a while. Zhu Chuanzong seemed to have recovered, and it wouldn't hurt to let him see the world, so she agreed. Still worried, Xiaoyu disguised herself as a servant and went out with Zhu Chuanzong.

After traveling for a while, they saw a group of people gathered in the middle of the street. When they got closer, the carriage stopped, and the servant Erxi said, "Young master, two carriages have collided up ahead. The street is blocked now, and it will probably be a while before we can get through."

Zhu Chuanzong and Xiaoyu got out of the carriage. Zhu Chuanzong had never seen anything like this before, so he hurriedly squeezed through to see what was going on. Upon reaching the crowd, Xiao Yu, with her sharp eyes, exclaimed, "Young Master, isn't that Sister Nuanyun?"

Zhu Chuanzong also spotted her and hurriedly squeezed through.

A wealthy-looking young master, accompanied by several servants, was reprimanding a man in his twenties and Nuanyun.

Zhu Chuanzong, accompanied by two servants, Erxi and Xiaoqing, saw Nuanyun being scolded and quickly stepped forward, saying, "What are you doing? How dare you speak to our Sister Nuanyun like that? Are you tired of living? Do you know who we are?"

The young master retorted, "I don't care who you are! You've damaged my carriage, can you lowly people afford to pay for it?"

It turned out that Nuanyun had returned home only to find out that her mother wasn't sick. It was just that her elder brother, Wang Dazhu, wanted to find a wife, but the family demanded a large dowry, and they were short several tens of taels of silver. So they invited Nuanyun home to discuss the matter and asked for her help.

Nuanyun, with tears streaming down her face, said, "When I was little, our family was poor, and you cruelly sold me. Luckily, I entered the Zhu family, where the servants were kind. Now that we're short of money, they've remembered their daughter."

Her elder brother and mother hurriedly apologized. Her mother said, "It's all my fault, but you only have this one brother. Now the family is finally doing well, and this marriage is good. Can you bear to see your brother unable to find a satisfactory wife because he's short of money? Besides, if our family is better off, you'll share in the glory! Don't worry, your brother will definitely pay you back."

Wang Dazhu also hurriedly swore he would repay the money.

Nuanyun said, "You know I'm usually frugal and have some money. If I don't lend it to you, you'll scold me for being heartless. I don't expect anything from you, just remember my kindness in the future."

After Nuanyun said this, her mother and brother thanked her profusely. Her mother, with tears streaming down her face, talked about how poor they used to be, regretted selling Nuanyun, and apologized to her, among other things.

Nuanyun told them to stop talking, and seeing that there was nothing else, she prepared to return to her residence. Since it wasn't yet time for the Zhu family to pick her up, her eldest brother personally drove the carriage to take her back to the Zhu family.

Little did they know that at a bend in the street, a carriage coming from the opposite direction was moving too fast, and the carriage accidentally scraped against it. That carriage was extremely luxurious, pulled by six horses, and was only driven by officials and nobles.

Wang Dazhu hurriedly got out of the carriage, but before he could even apologize, he was brutally beaten by a young nobleman who got out of the carriage. Nuanyun didn't want to show her face in public, but she had no choice but to get out of the carriage and said, "Stop! Young master, our two families had a car accident. Who's to blame and how to compensate are matters for the officials to handle. How dare you hit someone?"

The young nobleman saw that Nuanyun spoke with grace and poise, and her appearance was dignified and elegant, unlike ordinary women. He was initially intimidated, but when he saw that she was dressed as a maid, although her clothes were very nice and she looked like a maid from a wealthy family, her status was still not high. He laughed and said, "Little girl, whose servant are you? Why don't you come with me! I won't make you pay for the car accident."

After saying that, he reached out and touched Nuanyun's pretty face.

Nuanyun was filled with shame and indignation, pushed him away and cursed, "You dog, you're not even worthy to be my master's dog, and you want me to serve you? Dream on!"

The young nobleman was furious and he and his servants cursed Nuanyun for being ungrateful. Just then, Zhu Chuanzong and his entourage arrived.

The young nobleman was initially worried upon seeing Nuanyun's mistress arrive with two servants, but relaxed after noticing Zhu Chuanzong's attire and lack of official rank.

However, he was unaware that Zhu Chuanzong's mother and grandmother were both first-rank ladies, and Zhu Chuanzong had been the emperor's wet nurse. From birth, Zhu Chuanzong was granted the hereditary title of seventh-rank bodyguard, and upon reaching adulthood, he would be promoted to sixth-rank, with further promotions each year. Because Zhu Chuanzong spent most of his time at home, he was rather dull-witted and rarely went out, so his clothing and accessories did not reflect his official rank.

The young nobleman laughed loudly, "You've come at the perfect time! Your servant damaged your young master's carriage; you'd better pay for it quickly. If you don't have money, you can use this girl as payment!" He

then joined his servants in a burst of wild laughter.

Zhu Chuanzong first whispered to Nuanyun, "Are you alright?"

Nuanyun replied, "I'm fine. Young master, he touched my face... He deserves to die, you must avenge me."

Zhu Chuanzong was furious and said to the nobleman, "Paying compensation is easy, but may I ask your name? How much should I pay?"

The nobleman said, "I am Fei Guoxuan, a dignified ninth-rank official, and my father is a seventh-rank clerk in the Ministry of Personnel. This carriage is an official carriage. If you can please me, then so be it. Otherwise, I will charge you with the crime of ramming an official carriage."

Zhu Chuanzong said, "You're quite something! It seems I'll have to pay quite a bit? How much is your carriage? I'll buy it, how much silver? Tell me quickly!"

Fei Guoxuan said, "This carriage is worth at least a thousand taels of silver. I'm very merciful, I'll only ask for eight hundred taels of silver."

Fei Guoxuan's carriage was damaged, at most a few taels of silver would be enough to compensate, but he was asking for an exorbitant price for the entire carriage. Moreover, even if his six horses were good horses, they weren't rare thoroughbreds. How could they be worth so much silver? It sounded like extortion.

The onlookers, hearing this, erupted in a clamor, whispering curses against Fei Guoxuan's shamelessness and warnings that the young master who had come was in for trouble. But even in their anger, the people dared not intervene, for fear of a terrible fate.

Zhu Chuanzong, however, didn't care. He said, "Fine, I'll pay."

He kicked Erxi in the backside, saying, "Go home and get the silver!"

Erxi, his face contorted with grief, asked, "Who can I tell?"

He only knew this young master was a fool; how could he listen to him? He looked at Xiaoyu.

Zhu Chuanzong angrily said, "Go find the young mistress and tell her I had a car accident and owes eight hundred taels of silver. Be back in half an hour, do you hear me?"

Xiaoyu said, "Just listen to the young master. What are you standing there for?"

Erxi scrambled away.

Zhu Chuanzong said, "I've sent someone to fetch the silver. Can we go and treat this injured man first?"

Fei Guoxuan waved for them to leave, and Xiao Qing helped Wang Dazhu away.

Fei Guoxuan said smugly, "You're smart enough, kid. If the silver arrives, fine. Otherwise, you'll be facing a lawsuit at the yamen!"

Zhu Chuanzong said, "Silver? My family has plenty. Not to mention a few thousand taels, even tens of thousands are no problem."

Nuanyun whispered in Zhu Chuanzong's ear, "Young master, your official rank is higher than this kid's. If we go to court, we're not afraid of him. We don't need to pay him any money."

Zhu Chuanzong said, "I know. Don't worry."

After a while, a group of soldiers rode over, clearing a path through the crowd. They dismounted and lined up neatly, but didn't come any closer.

Fei Guoxuan said, "Look, it must be the guards from the capital. My father works in the Ministry of Personnel, and he's an old acquaintance of theirs. I'll wait a little longer. If your servants don't come, I'll have them arrest you first."

Xiao Yu laughed, "I think you're the fool. Who they'll arrest is still uncertain!"

Fei Guoxuan was stunned by Xiao Yu's handsome features and charming voice, thinking, "This servant is so delicate, like a woman."

He forgot to refute Xiao Yu's words.

At this moment, a line of carriages arrived, and Erxi, with a group of servants, carried several large boxes. When opened, they were full of gleaming silver, at least 100,000 taels.

Erxi said angrily, "The mistress said that if we hit someone's carriage, we should just pay compensation. If this silver isn't enough, there's more! It'll be delivered soon."

Fei Guoxuan was already terrified.

Zhu Chuanzong laughed heartily and said, "Alright, go ahead!"

Then he said to Fei Guoxuan, "Young master, the money is here, why don't you count it quickly?"

Fei Guoxuan trembled and said, "No...no need. It's just a small matter..."

Zhu Chuanzong said sternly, "Hurry up and count the money, do you think I'm talking nonsense?"

Fei Guoxuan had no choice but to say to his servants, "You guys count it quickly."

Zhu Chuanzong said, "Since I've compensated you with money, this carriage is mine, right?"

Ignoring Fei Guoxuan, he waved his hand and said, "Burn this carriage."

Erxi and the servants stepped forward, released the horses, and set the carriage on fire.

Zhu Chuanzong said, "I originally wanted to burn these horses too, but they are animals after all, so I can't blame them. Release them! I don't want these horses anymore, whoever takes them home can keep them."

He took a whip and struck one of the horses on the back. The horse, in pain, reared up and ran away.

The servants also chased away the remaining horses. Upon seeing this, the onlookers erupted in a commotion and all rushed to chase after the horse. If they caught one, they would be rich, earning at least several years' worth of income.

The crowd was in an uproar, and Fei Guoxuan was even more frightened and at a loss. He saw that the soldiers were watching coldly, seemingly not there to help him.

Fei Guoxuan managed to squeeze out a few words, saying, "Since everything's alright, I'll be leaving..."

Zhu Chuanzong said, "Wait! I'll compensate you for your carriage. But you hit my people! And my precious little girl, you even dared to touch her! You've got some nerve!"

Seeing the situation, Fei Guoxuan knelt down abruptly, saying, "Young master, please spare me! Whose son are you? I was blind and didn't recognize you..."

Xiao Yu said, "My young master is the Minister of Works, the son of the first-rank official Master Zhu. Since birth, he has inherited the seventh-rank bodyguard position, serving in the palace. You dare to contradict your superior, insult and beat people! This is a capital offense."

Xiao Yu didn't actually know what the crime was, but just said whatever was most serious, scaring Fei Guoxuan half to death.

Fei Guoxuan hurriedly begged for mercy, saying, "I deserve to die. My lord, I'll pay whatever it

takes to pay you, just spare my life." Zhu Chuanzong said, "My family has plenty of silver. What's your little bit of silver compared to that? Which hand did you use to touch my precious darling?"

Nuanyun immediately blushed.

Fei Guoxuan trembled and said, "Right...right hand."

Zhu Chuanzong beckoned, and the leader of the troop of soldiers came over, saying, "Shen Sanshi, a seventh-rank official and deputy lieutenant of the Shengjing nomads, greets young master."

Zhu Chuanzong said, "Lend me your sword."

Shen Sanshi was taken aback, unfastened his sword, and said softly, "Young master, he is, after all, an official. We can't kill him!"

Although the Zhu family was very powerful, killing an official in the street would shake the court and the public. Even if the matter was eventually settled, Shen Sanshi's future would be ruined.

Zhu Chuanzong turned around and said, "Give me your hand. I'll chop it off and spare your life."

Upon hearing this, Fei Guoxuan turned and ran, but was caught by Erxi and several other servants of the Zhu family and brought before Zhu Chuanzong. Nuanyun, feeling sorry for him, said, "Young Master, don't chop off his hand! It's terrifying."

Zhu Chuanzong said, "Since a beauty pleaded for him, I naturally have to be lenient. Alright, I'll just chop off one finger."

With that, he chopped down the finger, and Fei Guoxuan screamed and fainted.

Zhu Chuanzong said, "Bah, what a coward! He's already like this, I don't even know if his finger was chopped off."

Then he led Nuanyun and the others away.

The Nomadic Deputy Lieutenant Shen Sanshi ordered his soldiers to escort Fei Guoxuan and the servants back to the yamen to handle the case.

Chapter Eight:

When the naturally born eunuch Hua Caiyun arrived at the street where the incident had occurred, he witnessed Zhu Chuanzong handling the matter firsthand. He was overjoyed to see that Zhu Chuanzong was not only brave and decisive but also handled the situation appropriately, without going too far. Upon returning home, he and Zhu Shuiyue reported the matter to Madam Zhu and the Old Madam.

Madam Zhu and the Old Madam were both surprised and delighted. Madam Zhu, with tears in her eyes, said, "I didn't expect this child to be outstanding; I just wanted him to be like a normal person. As for him being as outstanding as you say, that's truly a blessing from heaven."

The Old Madam, though experienced and knowledgeable, was also deeply moved, saying tremulously, "I haven't spoiled this child in vain; he has the same demeanor as his grandfather!"

The story of Zhu Chuanzong publicly displaying his power and disciplining the arrogant and dissolute Fei Guoxuan had not only spread among the common people but had also reached some officials in the court.

Upon learning of this, the officials rushed to report the good news to Zhu Youji, the Minister of Works. Zhu Youji was at a loss, saying, "Are you sure you're not mistaken? My son never goes out, and besides, how could he be as capable as you claim!"

But seeing the officials' unwavering insistence, they sent someone to ask Madam Zhu what had happened.

Although the Old Madam and Madam Zhu believed that Hua Caiyun and Zhu Shuiyue wouldn't lie, they were still somewhat incredulous and immediately summoned Zhu Chuanzong. Zhu Chuanzong and the maids, including Nuanyun, were already waiting outside.

As soon as Zhu Chuanzong entered, he knelt and kowtowed, saying, "Madam, Grandmother, you have worked so hard for me all these years."

The Old Madam and Madam Zhu noticed that Zhu Chuanzong had lost a lot of weight and was practically a different person. Even if he hadn't lost weight, as long as he was intelligent, it would have been a great joy. They hadn't expected him to change like this, and upon hearing Zhu Chuanzong's words, they were moved to tears.

Hua Caiyun smiled and said, "Madam, Madam, please don't cry yet. We haven't answered Master's question yet!"

The old lady said, "If you invite him over, you'll know everything."

A servant went to fetch Zhu Youji. When Zhu Youji arrived, he was overjoyed yet somewhat sentimental upon seeing how much Zhu Chuanzong had changed. However, as a high-ranking official, he had to maintain his composure and dignity. Besides, as a father, he also wanted to encourage his son. So he said to Zhu Chuanzong, "My child! Now that you are sensible, you must study hard, strive for excellence, and bring honor to the Zhu family."

Zhu Chuanzong could only nod obediently, feeling somewhat frightened.

That evening, many officials arrived at the Zhu family's residence to congratulate them on this joyous occasion. The Zhu family held a grand banquet, and Zhu Chuanzong was surrounded by people, receiving praise from the officials. Several officials repeatedly stuffed things into his arms, all of them rare and precious treasures.

At the banquet, Lu Bobing, a senior official in the Ministry of Works, raised his wine cup, swaying his head and laughing, "I've also drunkenly whipped famous horses, but I fear too much passion will ruin a beauty's life. Lord Zhu's beloved son is so dashing and refined, far more dashing and heroic than us old fogies. I think the future of the empire belongs to people like him!"

Everyone praised him repeatedly, commending Zhu Chuanzong for his romantic charm and limitless potential.

The Zhu family's banquet lasted for three days before finally ending, and the Zhu family received countless gold and silver treasures.

The only son of Zhu Youji, the Minister of Works, had originally been mentally challenged, but after news spread that he had been cured, some officials who received the news late came one after another. Zhu Youji sent people to invite Zhu Chuanzong to meet some important officials. At first, Zhu Chuanzong was somewhat interested, but later he grew tired of it and simply pretended to be sick and refused to go.

When the old lady learned of this, she summoned Zhu Youji and gave him a good scolding, saying, "You're so old, and a high-ranking official of the first rank. As your mother, I shouldn't be nagging you anymore, but why are you so oblivious? Bao'er's head has only just recovered, and you're already letting him see guests every day? Do you think I don't know your cronies? They're just trying to curry favor with you, get some projects, and make some money. Do you think there's some extraordinary person who wants our Bao'er to see? If you ruin my precious son's health, I won't forgive you."

Zhu Youji hurriedly smiled apologetically and admitted his mistake, saying, "I was just trying to show off to outsiders because Bao'er suddenly recovered, and I forgot he was sick. Mother, don't worry, I won't bother him anymore. We can talk about it again when he's fully recovered."

Zhu Chuanzong, who was originally somewhat afraid of his father Zhu Youji, now had the old lady's protection and no one to control him, so he became even more reckless.

Because Zhu Chuanzong had recovered, he could freely enter and leave the Zhu residence. He witnessed the prosperity of the outside world and often went out for excursions, living a carefree life.

As the son of the Minister of Works, a high-ranking official, many sons of officials flocked to him, seeking his company. Initially, Zhu Chuanzong heeded Nuanyun and others' advice not to go out with them, but later, unable to resist the constant temptations, he too began to go out. What fun wouldn't those young masters have? They indulged in debauchery and extravagance, and Zhu Chuanzong gradually became addicted. Because of his constant playfulness, he rarely returned home, sometimes eating irregularly, and his body gradually became thin.

Nuanyun, usually gentle, only offered a few words of advice, but Xiaoyu resorted to beating and scolding. Seeing no effect, she complained to Zhu Shuiyue and Hua Caiyun.

Zhu Shuiyue and Hua Caiyun together reprimanded Zhu Chuanzong, and only then did he become obedient, studying with Zhu Shuiyue every day and no longer going out to play.

Seeing that this situation couldn't continue, Zhu Shuiyue and Hua Caiyun hired a highly respected teacher. To their surprise, Zhu Chuanzong pretended to be a fool upon seeing the old man, unable to do anything. The two had no choice but to let Zhu Shuiyue continue teaching him.

As Zhu Chuanzong gradually lost weight and adapted to life in the human world, his magical powers increased, and he could freely change his body at night. He could revert to his original, plump form, but changing into other shapes was still beyond his capabilities.

However, seeing that Nuanyun and Xiaoyu didn't believe in immortals and were very nervous when he claimed to be a deity descended to earth, thinking he was possessed by some ghost and needing to consult a celestial master for exorcism, Zhu Chuanzong simply stopped telling anyone and never mentioned it again.

Two months passed in this way, and Zhu Chuanzong became quite clever, having already read through the books in the study. Although he didn't understand everything, he had a general grasp of the subject.

Gradually, Zhu Shuiyue's knowledge became insufficient to teach Zhu Chuanzong, and when they asked for other teachers, Zhu Chuanzong refused to learn. Thus, Zhu Chuanzong's playful nature returned.

Coincidentally, there was a separate courtyard in the Zhu family compound where Zhu Wannian and his wife, the only distant relatives of the Zhu family, lived. They had a son named Zhu Dalong, who was twenty-five years old this year. Originally, Zhu Dalong thought that since the Zhu family had no other descendants, only their son Zhu Chuanzong, who was also mentally challenged, he could take over the family business and seize the Zhu family's property when Zhu Youji grew old and weak. Therefore, he had

always been very arrogant in the Zhu family. However, he never expected that Zhu Chuanzong would recover his normal state and become very intelligent, which made him furious. He tried every means to get close to Zhu Chuanzong, but unfortunately, the maids under his command kept a close watch on him, and he could not get close to him for a while. One day, he happened to see Zhu Chuanzong sneaking out of the garden alone, so he followed him.

Zhu Chuanzong hailed a carriage and was about to get in when Zhu Dalong hurriedly said, "Brother Bao'er, where are you going?"

Zhu Chuanzong turned around and saw Zhu Dalong, recognizing him as his only fellow disciple. Although Nuanyun and others had warned him that Zhu Dalong's character wasn't good and to ignore him, he had finally gained an elder brother, so how could he ignore him? He smiled and said, "I'm going to find Young Master Zhao to play."

Young Master Zhao was Zhao Shusheng, the second son of Zhao Xianjin, the Minister of Rites.

Zhu Dalong quickly laughed and said, "Brother, what's the fun in going to play with them? If you want to go somewhere new, come with me."

Zhu Chuanzong was overjoyed. He had been studying for two months and was incredibly bored. Hearing about some interesting places, he naturally wanted to see them.

Zhu Chuanzong followed Zhu Dalong, abandoning his own carriage, and quietly slipped out the door.

Zhu Dalong accompanied Zhu Chuanzong, first to the most famous Tianjie Street in the capital, Shengjing. Tianjie was the most famous place in Shengjing, filled with many novel entertainments, such as various acrobatics and performances.

Zhu Chuanzong had never seen anything like it before. He saw people playing with monkeys, performing with spears and sticks, and all sorts of other entertainment. Tianjie also had many famous snacks, and Zhu Chuanzong ate and watched, not wanting to go home even as night fell.

Seeing that Zhu Chuanzong didn't want to leave, Zhu Dalong said, "Brother, there are even more fun places than here. It gets more lively as the night goes on. Do you want to go?"

Zhu Chuanzong was eager to go and said, "Of course I'll go! But don't say I'm being playful when I get home. Just say I stayed at the Zhao family's house because they were worried about something happening in the dark. I'll have Zhao Shusheng cover for me."

Zhu Dalong chuckled inwardly. The two arrived at Zheliu Lane, which stretched for miles and was known as a red-light district, hence the name "Red-Light District."

Every house in Zheliu Lane was decorated with lanterns and colorful decorations, bustling with people and vehicles, as if it were a festival. Zhu Chuanzong had never imagined such a scene and was completely stunned.

Zhu Dalong laughed, "Brother, what's so interesting outside? The real spectacle is inside!"

The two entered Yin Feng Lou together, a brothel Zhu Dalong frequented.

The madam, seeing Zhu Dalong, a regular customer, immediately greeted him warmly. Zhu Dalong said, "Don't bother with me, my brother is the most important person."

Seeing Zhu Chuanzong's attire and his attentive attitude, the madam understood immediately and greeted him with a smile, inviting the brothel's most popular girls to entertain the guest.

Soon, Zhu Chuanzong was surrounded by the sounds of women singing sweetly, creating a lively atmosphere. Although Zhu Chuanzong was surrounded by beautiful women, none could compare to the charm here. These women spoke softly and sweetly, exuding charm, making Zhu Chuanzong feel as if he were bathed in a spring breeze, completely forgetting where he was.

Seeing Zhu Chuanzong's beaming face, Zhu Dalong was smug and instructed the girls to treat Zhu Chuanzong well, making sure he was comfortable.

Zhu Dalong bribed Zhu Chuanzong with a large sum of money, ordering the four most popular girls from Yinfeng Tower to serve him. They leaned against each other intimately at the banquet, feeding Zhu Chuanzong wine with their small mouths. Zhu Chuanzong was overjoyed and became ecstatic.

At midnight, the four women helped Zhu Chuanzong to bed. Although Zhu Chuanzong was dissolute, he was a celestial being descended to earth, incredibly intelligent. How could he not know who these women were? Seeing that although their looks were no less than Nuanyun and Xiaoyu, they lacked some of their innocence and charm. Wouldn't it be a waste to share a bed with them? Therefore, he drank more wine, pretended to be drunk, and ignored them.

Seeing that he didn't get up and only wanted to sleep, the women giggled and said, "My dear Master Zhu, you've come today, how can you be so unromantic! Very well, let us serve you!"

They tried their best to provoke Zhu Chuanzong, but to their surprise, he didn't react at all. Zhu Chuanzong chuckled inwardly, thinking, "Although I am no longer a celestial being, I can still maintain a calm and undisturbed mind. My vital essence can cure diseases and prolong life; why would I easily give it to you women?"

He simply let them fool around and fell asleep.

The four girls had never seen anything like it before. Initially, they were indignant, chattering amongst themselves, saying, "What haven't we seen? I don't believe anyone can escape my methods!"

They took turns trying everything, but Zhu Chuanzong's lower body remained as still as a dead fish, showing no reaction whatsoever.

Undeterred, the four girls continued to manipulate him with various parts of their bodies throughout the night before finally giving up, saying, "So this young master is a born eunuch!"

At dawn, Zhu Chuanzong and Zhu Dalong went home together. Zhu Dalong was woken up early by the four girls, who told him about discovering Zhu Chuanzong's eunuch status the previous night. Therefore, Zhu Dalong asked Zhu Chuanzong, "Brother, did you sleep well last night?"

Zhu Chuanzong laughed, "Great, very good! It was really fun. I'll definitely come back here again."

He rewarded the girls with a lot of silver, and amidst their pity, he went home with Zhu Dalong.

Once home, Zhu Chuanzong lied and said he had gone to the Zhao family, but Hua Caiyun would never believe him. A servant had already seen Zhu Chuanzong leave with Zhu Dalong, so Hua Caiyun interrogated Zhu Dalong.

As soon as Zhu Dalong entered, before he could even speak, Hua Caiyun sneered, "I say, Uncle Zhu, where did you take Brother Bao to play last night? If you tell the truth, I'll put in a good word for you with Madam. But if you lied to me too, you'll be in big trouble."

Upon hearing this, Zhu Dalong immediately knelt down with a thud, saying, "My dear sister-in-law, please forgive me! I truly deserve to die. I took Brother Bao to Zheliu Lane."

Hua Caiyun stood up abruptly and said sternly, "You, Zhu Dalong, actually took your brother to such a place! You've harassed me in the past, but I've spared you from being kicked out of the house because we're from the same clan. But you can't blame me for what you've done today."

Zhu Dalong hurriedly said, "Sister-in-law, please calm down. Although I was wrong, there's something important I want to tell you."

Hua Caiyun said impatiently, "Speak quickly."

She was already considering how to deal with Zhu Dalong.

Zhu Dalong said, "This matter is very important. If my sister-in-law finds out, she will definitely forgive me."

Then he whispered, "Sister-in-law, I heard from the girls in the restaurant that Brother Bao was born a... eunuch."

Hua Caiyun was shocked, and the teacup she was holding fell to the ground and broke in two.

Zhu Dalong feigned concern, saying, "Sister-in-law, don't worry. I was wondering why Brother Bao suddenly seemed so well! It turns out he wasn't completely recovered yet, which is understandable. Don't take it too seriously."

Hua Caiyun felt an indescribable disgust at Zhu Dalong's demeanor and said, "Get out, you go out first."

Zhu Dalong was about to say something more, but seeing Hua Caiyun's face darken, he dared not provoke her. He thought to himself, "You filthy bitch, Zhu Chuanzong is a eunuch. In the future, the Zhu family's property will fall into my hands. I'll see how I deal with you then."

After Zhu Dalong left, Hua Caiyun wanted to burst into tears, but being clever and capable, she was a heroine among women. She thought, "Don't be sad yet. Let's see if that bastard Zhu Dalong is lying."

Recalling when she bathed Zhu Chuanzong, she didn't seem to have noticed anything unusual about him.

Hua Caiyun thought for a long time without finding a solution, so she asked Zhu Chuanzong's personal maids, Nuanyun and Xiaoyu, to come over.

Hua Caiyun asked the two maids if Zhu Chuanzong's body was abnormal, but the two maids couldn't answer and blushed with embarrassment. Hua Caiyun finally snapped, "I'm asking you, is there any lewd stuff on Young Master Bao's trousers? Now you should know, right?"

Xiao Yu replied, "It's perfectly clean, there's nothing else."

Hua Caiyun was a young woman who had married into the Zhu family to bring good fortune to Zhu Chuanzong's elder brother, but unfortunately, they hadn't consummated their marriage before the brother died. Even though Hua Caiyun was knowledgeable, her understanding was limited. Seeing that the two maids seemed confused, she invited two midwives from the household to come in.

That evening, after Zhu Chuanzong fell asleep, Hua Caiyun and the two midwives entered the room.

With the help of Xiao Yu and Nuanyun, Hua Caiyun and the two midwives began to manipulate Zhu Chuanzong. Sure enough, there was no reaction at all. At first, Xiao Yu and Nuanyun blushed and dared not look, but when they saw Hua Caiyun's face growing increasingly pale, they became anxious.

After a while, the two old women shook their heads at Hua Caiyun, their voices trembling with tears, and said, "Madam, I'm afraid the young master really is impotent!"

Hua Caiyun's tears streamed down her face. Xiao Yu and Nuanyun hurriedly comforted her, but their tears also flowed uncontrollably.

They were all deeply saddened, unaware that Zhu Chuanzong retained some divine wisdom. He practiced a Taoist method of refining essence into qi, preventing the loss of vital energy, keeping his mind clear, and maintaining good health. Hua Caiyun and the others, not knowing this, all assumed Zhu Chuanzong was a born eunuch.

Hua Caiyun felt this matter was of great importance and reported it to Madam Zhu the next day. Madam Zhu immediately sent someone to fetch Doctor Zhang Chaozhong from the Imperial Hospital. He had always maintained a very close relationship with the Zhu family.

Doctor Zhang dared not delay and immediately dropped everything to rush to the Zhu family.

Zhu Chuanzong had just gotten up and was still unaware of what was happening when a group of people squeezed into the room. Seeing Madam Zhu among them, he hurriedly said, "Mother is here!"

He was about to kneel when Madam Zhu stopped him, saying, "Get up quickly. You're a patient; don't move around."

She had a maid help Zhu Chuanzong onto the bed.

Doctor Zhang quickly came over to take his pulse.

Zhu Chuanzong asked in surprise, "Mother, I've lost weight, but I can eat and sleep well. What illness do I have? Who said I'm sick? I'm perfectly fine!"

Hua Caiyun said, "Silly brother, just lie down and wait for Doctor Zhang to finish examining you."

After a while, Doctor Zhang dismissed everyone, leaving only Madam Zhu and a few maids.

Doctor Zhang unzipped Zhu Chuanzong's pants and began to manipulate his lower body. Zhu Chuanzong thought, "This fellow isn't a good person either; so this is what he came for. I'm a celestial being descended to earth; my willpower is immense. It's impossible for him to drain my essence."

He simply ignored him and let him do as he pleased.

Doctor Zhang grew increasingly serious. After a while, he left the room and said to Madam Zhu, "Madam, I have never seen such a strange illness before. Young Master is congenitally castrated! It is incurable."

These words shattered all of Madam Zhu's hopes, and she fainted. Doctor Zhang had a maid pinch her philtrum, and only after she regained consciousness did he sigh and leave.

Madam Zhu threw herself into Hua Caiyun's arms and wept bitterly. Zhu Shuiyue, having received the news, also rushed over. The mother and daughter embraced and wept bitterly. Madam Zhu cried, "Our Zhu family line is now extinct! Why is my life so bitter! What sins did I commit in my past life!"

Hua Caiyun said, "Madam, you don't need to be sad. Our family is wealthy and powerful. No matter how much money it costs, we will definitely cure Bao'er's illness."

Madam Zhu sighed, "It's all fate! We can't force it. Look at him, he used to be a fool, how many medicines did he take, and none of them worked? Then, for some unknown reason, he stopped being foolish, but he was left with this illness. It's all fate! Our Zhu family deserves to die out."

Seeing Madam Zhu so heartbroken, Hua Caiyun asked Zhu Shuiyue to accompany her back to her room to rest.

Hua Caiyun was usually strong, but Zhu Chuanzong had just brought joy to the family, only to be struck by this devastating blow. Hua Caiyun thought and thought, remembering the Zhu family

's power and wealth, the saying, "The rich feast while the poor feast," referring to their immense riches, yet their family was small. Their only heir had finally recovered from his idiocy, but now he was impotent. It's true, the moon has its phases, and no one is perfect.

Hua Caiyun pondered for a long time, finally gritting her teeth and saying, "Is my life so unlucky? I must cure Bao'er's illness. He was mentally challenged before, but he recovered. Maybe if I find some folk remedies, I can cure him!"

Thinking of this, Hua Caiyun regained her spirits. She was determined to cure Zhu Chuanzong's illness no matter what.

Chapter Nine: Sacrificing Oneself for Righteousness

Zhu Chuanzong had been confined to his quarters these past few days, and everyone treated him like a patient. They took meticulous care of him, but having someone always lend a hand was quite tedious. Seeing Nuanyun and Xiaoyu looking at him with pity, he was puzzled. When he asked them what was wrong, they wouldn't say. Zhu Chuanzong was perplexed and increasingly frustrated.

Meanwhile, Hua Caiyun, determined to cure Zhu Chuanzong's illness, secretly began arranging for her servants to find a doctor who could cure this infertility. After making the arrangements, a question suddenly occurred to her, and she pondered it silently. Finally, she thought, "Could it be that other women aren't attractive enough? If it were me, dressed up beautifully, I don't believe Bao'er wouldn't be tempted. Last time he bathed, he was lecherous. That's right, it must be that other women are too ugly, making my Bao'er lose interest, which is why he can't have sex."

Thinking this, Hua Caiyun feared that her daughter might not understand something and might make things worse, so she gritted her teeth and sent someone to the brothel to invite a madam, secretly bringing her to her room.

Hua Caiyun learned many techniques from the madam, gave her a thousand taels of silver, and asked her to keep it a secret.

The madam beamed and said obsequiously, "Don't worry, Madam. The skills I'll teach you will guarantee you can hold onto the young master's heart. No matter what other women he has outside, with your beauty and the skills I'll teach you to please men, you'll make sure he can never leave you."

The madam went on to explain many more techniques for pleasing men. Hua Caiyun sighed, thinking, "I wonder if Bao'er can become a man. If that doesn't work, I really don't know what to do."

After seeing the madam off, Hua Caiyun bathed, changed her clothes, scented the incense, and prepared the bedding. Once everything was ready, she sent her maid Ying'er to invite Zhu Chuanzong.

Zhu Chuanzong was overjoyed and came immediately, thinking, "Is he going to give me a bath?"

His mind raced, and thinking of Hua Caiyun's allure, he felt a surge of desire.

Along the way, seeing Ying'er's lithe and graceful figure, he couldn't help but laugh, "Sister Ying'er, you have such a great figure, no wonder you're called Ying'er."

Ying'er laughed, "Does having a good figure mean you have to be called Ying'er?"

Zhu Chuanzong said, "Of course! You're so lithe, that's why you're called Ying'er! I used to be as fat as a pig, everyone called me 'dead fat pig.'"

Ying'er giggled, "Who would dare call you that! I don't believe it."

Zhu Chuanzong said, "It's true. If you don't believe me, let's make a bet. If you lose, you have to let me kiss your little mouth."

Ying'er blushed and laughed, "I heard from your maid that you've become naughty, and it's true."

Seeing that she wasn't angry, Zhu Chuanzong shamelessly leaned forward and said, "Good sister, your lips are so red, let me kiss them!"

Ying'er had no idea that Zhu Chuanzong was a eunuch. This matter had already been spread throughout the capital by Zhu Dalong. Almost everyone in the Zhu family knew about it. Only high-class maids like Ying'er, who were always by Hua Caiyun's side, remained unaware because Hua Caiyun didn't mention it. Master Zhu, too, was unaware unless someone informed him.

Ying'er was quite fond of Zhu Chuanzong, noting his newfound thinness and handsome appearance. The stark contrast between his former and current appearance made his current look even more striking. Ying'er, young and infatuated, didn't resist.

Seeing her shyly bowing her head, Zhu Chuanzong, in a secluded path, seized her and kissed her passionately. He

indulged in the pleasure of her lips, driving her to a frenzy of desire before finally stopping.

Satisfied, Zhu Chuanzong then went with Ying'er to see Hua Caiyun.

After Zhu Chuanzong entered, Ying'er exchanged flirtatious glances with him, closed the door, and then left.

Seeing Zhu Chuanzong's beaming face, Hua Caiyun sighed inwardly, "He still doesn't know sorrow."

Forcing a smile, she asked, "Bao'er, why are you so happy?"

Zhu Chuanzong blushed slightly and replied, "Well... seeing my beautiful sister-in-law makes me happy."

Hua Caiyun chuckled, "You're quite the smooth talker! What a pity... what a pity."

Zhu Chuanzong asked curiously, "What's a pity?"

Hua Caiyun couldn't be direct, and after a long pause, she said, "What a pity, a silver-plated spearhead."

This meant he was all show and no substance. Although Hua Caiyun knew Zhu Chuanzong was clever, she thought he might not understand such a statement. Little did she know that Zhu Chuanzong, having read all the books in his study, was no longer the naive boy he once was.

Zhu Chuanzong said, "That old geezer tried to seduce me yesterday, of course I ignored him. Only a beautiful woman, hehe, would make me want to unleash my full power."

Hua Caiyun was both surprised and delighted, forgetting her embarrassment, she said, "You...you did it on purpose?"

She was actually quite naive; most ordinary men, under the stimulation of a woman or something else, would find it difficult to remain unmoved, even if they wanted to.

Zhu Chuanzong chuckled, "My essence is very precious, how could I easily let it flow out! Of course, it was intentional." He

stared lustfully at Hua Caiyun's bulging breasts, saying, "If it were you, sister-in-law, I wouldn't hesitate."

Hua Caiyun, seeing Zhu Chuanzong's clear words, was truly incredulous, stunned, her face flushed with embarrassment, unsure what to do.

Hua Caiyun was dressed exceptionally beautifully, her black hair flowing freely, her cleavage revealed, half-hidden, half-revealed, most alluring in its hazy beauty. A jade-like arm, as white as a snow lotus root, was exposed, exuding a fragrant aroma. Originally, she only wanted to attract Zhu Chuanzong, but now that he was so obvious, she was at a loss.

Hua Caiyun was always formidable, and although she treated Zhu Chuanzong very well, he never dared to be presumptuous. But now, seeing Hua Caiyun's radiant beauty and captivating charm, he could no longer resist. He pounced on her, grabbed her delicate hand, and said, "Sister-in-law, you smell so good!"

Hua Caiyun whispered like a mosquito, "Really? Then smell me!"

Zhu Chuanzong, as if hearing a heavenly voice, sniffed her like a pig.

He buried his head in Hua Caiyun's chest, sniffing her all over. Hua Caiyun was tickled and laughed, saying, "What are you doing! It tickles!"

Hearing Hua Caiyun's playful complaint, which wasn't really her fault, Zhu Chuanzong became even more unrestrained, unbuttoning her bra and shamelessly exploring her two round, warm, and smooth mounds. The two gradually became passionate, and involuntarily, they embraced and fell onto the bed.

Hua Caiyun gently stroked Zhu Chuanzong with her jade-like hand. Seeing that he seemed to be making some movement, she remembered the methods the madam had taught her. She gritted her teeth, disregarded her shame, and for the sake of the Zhu family's important affairs, she ruthlessly used them without any sense of shame.

Zhu Chuanzong fell asleep in the brothel. He had never experienced anything like it before. Seeing Hua Caiyun's beautiful face, her captivating charm, and her alluring presence, he could no longer resist, and his resolve crumbled.

Hua Caiyun, seeing the effect, was overjoyed. The two shared their first passionate encounter, their love indescribable.

Zhu Chuanzong was satisfied and fell asleep in Hua Caiyun's arms. That evening, Hua Caiyun had Ying'er escort Zhu Chuanzong home.

Because it was getting dark, Ying'er took two maids with her, so Zhu Chuanzong didn't have a chance to be intimate with Ying'er. Upon arriving at Yong'an Pavilion, Nuanyun said, "Miss sent someone to invite you over this afternoon. Knowing you're with the eldest mistress, that's fine. Would you like to go see Miss now?"

Zhu Chuanzong, remembering Zhu Shuiyue's beautiful appearance, said, "Yes, I'll go now. Perhaps Sister has something important to discuss!"

Nuanyun and Siji then escorted Zhu Chuanzong to Zhu Shuiyue's Suyu Tower.

Zhu Shuiyue, who had been looking worried, smiled and asked Zhu Chuanzong about his well-being as he entered.

Zhu Chuanzong, experiencing love for the first time, was captivated by Zhu Shuiyue's beauty, her allure surpassing even the fragrance of peach blossoms and the brilliance of plum blossoms. He stared

at her, thinking, "Sister, you are so beautiful. If I could love you just once, I would die happy." Zhu Shuiyue, seeing Zhu Chuanzong's distracted and absent-minded gaze, clearly mesmerized by her beauty, sighed inwardly, "He is so pitiful. Is he truly incapable of having children forever? What will he do when he grows up and finds out? Perhaps he doesn't like other women. Only I can help him! My adoptive parents have been so kind to me; I cannot forget their kindness." Remembering

the advice given to her by the experienced old woman she had invited, her face flushed.

Zhu Chuanzong, seeing Zhu Shuiyue's delicate eyebrows and rosy cheeks, was even more captivated, murmuring, "Sister, you're so beautiful! Whoever marries you will be truly blessed."

Zhu Shuiyue whispered, "Really? But... little brother, do you know what marriage is...?"

Zhu Chuanzong proudly replied, "Of course I know. If you don't, I can teach you."

Zhu Shuiyue was stunned, saying, "What?"

Zhu Chuanzong, having read many books, knew that such teasing between siblings was inappropriate in the Great Liang Kingdom. Although they weren't blood siblings, their relationship was now officially recognized, and they could no longer have any connection. Seeing Zhu Shuiyue suddenly raise her voice, seemingly annoyed, Zhu Chuanzong sighed inwardly, thinking, "It's over. I've wasted my life. Why is such a beautiful woman like you my godmother? Otherwise..."

Zhu Chuanzong said dejectedly, "I was just joking. Don't be angry, sister."

Seeing Zhu Chuanzong's strange words, Zhu Shuiyue remembered the kindness the Zhu family had shown her and her family. For the sake of the Zhu family's descendants, Zhu Shuiyue hardened her heart and forced a smile, saying, "I was afraid you didn't understand anything, so I wanted to teach you! Why are you going to teach me instead?"

Zhu Chuanzong was delighted. "Really? What else can you do, sister? I really didn't know. Could it be that you have an even more amazing method? That would be wonderful!"

Zhu Shuiyue had made up her mind and no longer hesitated. Seeing Zhu Chuanzong's elegant demeanor and extraordinary appearance, although he still had a touch of childishness, his brows revealed a heroic spirit. The more she looked at him, the more she liked him. She gently took Zhu Chuanzong's hand and said, "Come with me, sister will teach you what a man should do. The Zhu family has put in so much effort for you! Your name is Chuanzong, and your courtesy name is Jiedai. How can you let us down?"

The two led each other to the bed. Zhu Shuiyue was gentle and graceful, while Zhu Chuanzong was both surprised and delighted. However, Zhu Shuiyue was inexperienced, and Zhu Chuanzong gradually guided her enthusiastically, which led to their happy union. It was truly a case of: "There must be a seed of longing in the world, which gives rise to a heart full of affection."

The next day, Hua Caiyun pondered all night, weighed the pros and cons, and finally decided to report Zhu Chuanzong's matter to Madam Zhu.

Hua Caiyun immediately went to find Zhu Chuanzong's mother. As soon as Hua Caiyun entered, before she could even bow, Madam Zhu embraced her tightly, weeping, "My child, you've finally come! I'm so heartbroken! How could we, mother and daughter-in-law, be so unlucky! We were so close to having someone to rely on for life, but now we have nothing. Our Zhu family line is about to end. How can we face our ancestors? How can we face Old Master Zhu?"

Seeing Madam Zhu's sorrow, Hua Caiyun said, "Madam, please don't cry. Caiyun has something to tell you."

Madam Zhu, with tears streaming down her face, said, "If there's anything to report, that's fine. This house will sooner or later no longer belong to the Zhu family. If there are any important matters, do what you can decide! I have no heart to interfere anymore. I can only chant Buddhist prayers and eat vegetarian food every day, hoping to atone for my sins."

Hua Caiyun said, "Madam, Heaven knows your heart and will certainly not blame you. Your good deeds will be rewarded; our Zhu family will not end."

Madam Zhu said, "Silly child, now that we're here... " "At that time, you still came to comfort me. I know you are filial, but this is all fate, and we can't force it. Our family has countless riches and honors, but we have never had many children. I am not a jealous woman. I let my husband take six or seven concubines, but none of them are worthy. Don't you think this is fate?"

Hua Caiyun blushed and said, "Madam, please don't be sad. I have something to say to you, but I am shameless and have ruined the reputation of the Zhu family. Please don't be sad if you hear it. Even if I am executed by slow slicing, as long as you are not too sad, I will be satisfied. You have always treated me like your own daughter. For the sake of the Zhu family, I would not hesitate to sacrifice myself."

Madam Zhu heard the hidden meaning in her words and calmed down immediately. She said, "Good child, please speak your mind. My poor son passed away only two days after you married into the family. I have wronged you. If you cannot stay, even if you leave, I cannot keep you. It is all because of the misfortune of our family!"

After saying this, she burst into tears again.

Seeing that Madam Zhu had misunderstood, Hua Caiyun realized she had to speak up. She said, "Madam, it's not like that. I'll tell you! Actually… actually, Bao'er isn't a eunuch."

She blushed and lowered her head, speechless with embarrassment.

Madam Zhu was stunned. Seeing Hua Caiyun's expression, she immediately guessed most of what was going on. Having seen it all in her life, she laughed, "Really? Amitabha! This is a great joy!"

She clasped her hands together and chanted Buddhist prayers for a while before smiling at Hua Caiyun, "My good daughter-in-law, don't be alarmed. I've lived half my life; what haven't I seen? Look at those princes and ministers, which family doesn't have a little romantic escapade? Your husband is gone, and having some dealings with your brother-in-law isn't a big deal. Look at Prince Kang's family… well, I won't go into that." " You've married into our family and devoted yourself wholeheartedly to the Zhu family. You've worked incredibly hard. Even if you did make some mistakes, I would still protect you."

Hua Caiyun said, "But... after all, my wife is somewhat immoral."

Madam Zhu chuckled and said, "Don't be fooled by your usual outspokenness, your efficient management of the household, and your seemingly manly manners. You're still too naive and kind-hearted. Those customs and traditions are only for ordinary people. Look at the wealthy families of today, which one cares about these things?"

Hua Caiyun lowered her head shyly and repeatedly agreed.

Madam Zhu, still feeling a bit unsatisfied, said, "You are the eldest daughter-in-law of the Zhu family, but our eldest son is gone. Even if you marry Bao'er, it wouldn't be unreasonable. However, to avoid gossip, we'll skip the ceremonies. If you have children in the future, just say they were adopted. Everyone in the family knows the truth. As long as my husband and I acknowledge it, they can still inherit our family property. Don't worry, you've devoted yourself to the Zhu family, and I won't mistreat you. When the opportunity arises, I'll talk to my husband about this, so you can rest assured. The matriarch loves you the most; if I don't help you, she won't forgive me."

Hua Caiyun felt relieved and hurriedly knelt down to kowtow, but Madam Zhu stopped her. From then on, Hua Caiyun devoted herself even more wholeheartedly to the Zhu family.

Seeing that the matter was settled, Hua Caiyun prepared to take her leave. Madam Zhu gave her a final instruction: "Bao'er is a target of gossip. I think it's best to keep this a secret. Just tell everyone that Bao'er was born a eunuch. The rumors have already spread, and even if you wanted to clear things up, you wouldn't be able to."

Hua Caiyun's eyes lit up. "Madam is brilliant! I think it's best if someone tries to scheme against Young Master Bao. It will prevent others from doing

so. As for the maids in the house, I'll give the order that anyone who leaks the news will have their legs broken and be kicked out." Madam Zhu smiled and said, "Go ahead and do it! I'll

take care of everything for you." Hua Caiyun felt relieved and her worries were gone. Returning to her room, she saw Zhu Shuiyue waiting for her with tear-streaked face, clearly having cried.

Hua Caiyun was actually somewhat impatient, but because she was exceptionally intelligent, she understood the principle of not speaking lightly and planning carefully before acting. Therefore, she always listened to what others said before deciding what to do. But facing Zhu Shuiyue, a family member with whom she had no need to be wary, she spoke frankly and said with a smile, "Sister, you don't need to be sad. Our ancestors have accumulated good karma! This is truly a joyous occasion!"

Zhu Shuiyue was stunned and said, "You know?"

Her face immediately turned red, thinking that some maid must have found out about what happened between her and Zhu Chuanzong last night and had already reported it to Hua Caiyun. She was truly ashamed and indignant.

Seeing Zhu Shuiyue's reaction, Hua Caiyun realized her smugness and felt deeply ashamed. She blushed and said, "Bao'er is still a normal person, which is a blessing for our Zhu family. Sister-in-law, you did this for the sake of the Zhu family. Sister, you don't think I'm a shameless adulteress, do you? I've already told Madam about this. Madam is truly wise; she didn't blame me and even understood my good intentions. She'll even stand up for me in the future! I had no choice; I hope you can understand."

Hua Caiyun was an exceptionally intelligent woman. She knew this couldn't be kept secret, so she simply told Zhu Shuiyue first. They were close, and besides, for the sake of the Zhu family, Zhu Shuiyue would understand. However, she didn't know that Zhu Shuiyue had done the same thing as her.

Zhu Shuiyue was struck dumb by Hua Caiyun's words, her mind reeling. She stood there blankly, mechanically replying, "Sister-in-law is

right! How could I look down on you? I'm feeling a little unwell, I'll be going now." Seeing Zhu Shuiyue's pale face, Hua Caiyun assumed she was from a wealthy family and had strong moral principles; she must be feeling down after hearing about this, and would be fine in a few days. She saw her out.

Zhu Shuiyue walked out of Guanyun Courtyard. It was the height of summer, and the garden was bursting with vibrant flowers. The sun was warm, and the laughter of maids and the chirping of cicadas drifted from the shade of the trees—everything seemed full of life. But Zhu Shuiyue's heart felt as gloomy as if it were winter.

Zhu Shuiyue wandered aimlessly, thinking, "It turns out everything I did was in vain. I thought it was for the Zhu family, to repay the kindness of Madam and Master, but who knew it would all be for nothing! How can I stay in the Zhu family after others find out? How can I face anyone?"

The more Zhu Shuiyue thought about it, the sadder she became. Some maids saw her and greeted her, but she ignored them.

Zhu Shuiyue came to a secluded garden and saw a well. Suddenly, a thought struck her. She slowly walked over, thinking, "This is my final resting place. I understand."

She plunged into the well.

Suddenly, she heard a shout behind her: "No!"

She felt a lightness in her body and found herself in someone's arms.

It turned out that Zhu Chuanzong had been going to see his sister-in-law, Hua Caiyun, that morning, but seeing Zhu Shuiyue coming out of Guanyun Courtyard looking distraught, he secretly followed her, intending to play a joke on her. Seeing her about to jump into the well, he appeared in time to save her.

Upon seeing that it was Zhu Chuanzong who had saved her, Zhu Shuiyue cried out, "You want me to die? Why did you save me? I've ruined the Zhu family's reputation, just let me die!"

Zhu Chuanzong said urgently, "You haven't done anything wrong! Why do you want me to die? Don't you love me anymore?"

Zhu Shuiyue stared at Zhu Chuanzong, gave a desolate smile, and said, "What good is it if I love you? You're my brother, I can never marry you. How can I live with myself if others find out?"

Zhu Chuanzong said, "You're wrong, we're not siblings at all! Do you care what others think?"

Zhu Shuiyue said, "Don't lie to me, how can we not be siblings? Since Madam has recognized me as her goddaughter, that can't be changed." Zhu Chuanzong

gritted his teeth and said, "Fine, now I can only tell you. Actually, I'm not a member of the Zhu family, I'm a deity descended to earth."

Zhu Shuiyue stared at Zhu Chuanzong as if she were seeing a monster. Zhu Chuanzong said, "If you don't believe me, I'll show you."

After saying that, he chanted a spell in his mind, and in the blink of an eye, a large fat man appeared before Zhu Shuiyue, looking exactly like the former Zhu Chuanzong.

Zhu Shuiyue exclaimed, "You...who are you? You killed Zhu Chuanzong?"

Zhu Chuanzong transformed back and said, "No. I am the Heavenly Lord Miao Ri Chen. I was reborn into the Zhu family, but my initial spiritual energy was hidden to prevent Heaven from knowing I still possessed spiritual energy and violating the Heavenly Rules, thus punishing me. So at first I was very mentally challenged, but now I can finally regain my original form. Why do you want to die? You didn't do anything wrong."

Zhu Shuiyue asked blankly, "Then what should I do?"

Zhu Chuanzong had a sudden inspiration and said, "You should help me. I was reborn to ensure the continuation of the Zhu family line, to repay the good deeds they did in their previous life. Also, Heaven has bestowed a great responsibility upon me; you must help me make a contribution to the world."

Zhu Shuiyue was persuaded by Zhu Chuanzong and nodded repeatedly, saying, "How can I help you?"

Zhu Chuanzong laughed, "First, help me relieve my lust."

Zhu Shuiyue then came to her senses and said, "Pah, so you're a lustful immortal."
