Friends who often walk along the river may want to take a look

I often see friends experiencing noticeable physical and psychological abnormalities after having sex with unfamiliar people. I'd like to offer a brief overview of some common concerns, hoping everyone will prioritize safety, health, and harmony. If you have any health issues, concerns, or unusual symptoms, please seek medical attention promptly and don't believe rumors. Generally, we define high-risk sex as unprotected sex or having a complex or unknown sexual history; these individuals are considered high-risk. If you experience any unusual symptoms or concerns, you can compare them to the time of your high-risk behavior; some can be ruled out. Below are some common examples; sometimes, using the process of elimination can help avoid unnecessary panic.
First, the most common is gonorrhea, whose incubation period is 1-14 days, usually 2-5 days, meaning symptoms appear two to five days after high-risk exposure. Symptoms include frequent urination, urgency, painful urination, and purulent discharge from the urethra. Non-gonococcal urethritis has an incubation period of 7-21 days; symptoms include clear discharge from the urethra, painful urination, a crawling sensation at the urethral opening, and slight redness at the urethral opening. If someone is unlucky enough to have it, they should go to the hospital as soon as possible. However, don't worry, these two are relatively mild sexually transmitted diseases, can be diagnosed through tests of secretions, and are completely curable.
The incubation period for genital herpes is 1-45 days, with an average of 6 days; it manifests as painful small blisters on the genitals. The term "average" represents the time it takes for most people to develop the disease, as this varies depending on individual immunity. Herpes is quite painful. Be wary of the appearance of painful blisters shortly after high-risk exposure.
The incubation period for syphilis is 9-90 days, with an average of 3 weeks. It also progresses through three stages; the earlier the treatment, the better.
The incubation period for genital warts is 1-6 months, with an average of 3 weeks; cauliflower-like growths appear on the genitals.
Herpes, syphilis, and genital warts can all be diagnosed through blood tests, but only after the incubation period. Several friends' personal experiences have told me that if you suspect something, you must get a blood test during or after the incubation period for confirmation. It's extremely unprofessional, unscientific, and irresponsible for any doctor to confirm a diagnosis based solely on visual inspection or so-called experience. As for other non-professionals, it goes without saying that everyone should respect science. However, if you don't trust the test results, you can go to two different hospitals. Panic can sometimes trigger such thoughts.
Of course, there's also AIDS, which goes without saying; everyone should be quite familiar with it.
The trouble with these diseases lies in the fact that once the virus is in the bloodstream, given the current level of global medical advancements, it will remain in the body for life, like a time bomb. It also significantly increases the risk of cancer. At best, proper treatment and care can temporarily clear the virus. Therefore, I can confidently tell you that any advertisements guaranteeing a cure for a specific gender are completely false; don't even think about them. However, those suffering from these diseases shouldn't lose hope. With current medical technology and proper guidance from a reputable tertiary hospital, you can still live a good life, and marriage and children are not impossible.
Finally, let me briefly address a topic many friends are concerned about: can oral sex transmit sexually transmitted diseases (STIs)? The answer is yes, but I can also responsibly tell you that, for example, cases where a man contracts HIV solely through oral sex because the woman has HIV are extremely rare. Similarly, the percentage of people who contract STIs simply through oral sex is relatively small. Of course, this is not to encourage complacency; better safe than sorry. Even kissing can lead to hepatitis if you're not careful. What could be more important than your own health?
I welcome any corrections or suggestions.
