[Fantasy] A Eunuch Breaks into the Inner Palace (Complete) - Part 2

In the third chapter of the first episode

, the Emperor's remaining days were spent working during the day and cultivating immortal arts at night. The book contained not only methods for cultivating immortal arts but also techniques for using true energy in combat. Li Xiaomin chose some basic methods to practice, and he felt his strength gradually increasing and his martial arts becoming more refined, enough to protect himself.
Meanwhile, Lan'er, experiencing love for the first time, couldn't resist Li Xiaomin's allure and often ran to his room at night to kiss him passionately, embrace him, and caress him. Although he couldn't achieve true ecstasy, it excited and sweetened this inexperienced young girl.
Li Xiaomin wasn't idle either, taking advantage of her body quite a bit. He was practically more familiar with Lan'er's body than his own. The developing girl's body, with its smooth, jade-like skin, fully satisfied Li Xiaomin's curiosity about women, a man who had been a virgin in his previous life. Aside from a slight regret about his own physical condition, he felt that he was doing quite well for a time.
Late that night, Li Xiaomin first practiced dual cultivation with Lan'er for a while, then coaxed her to sleep. He then took You'er and quietly slipped away, arriving at a grove of trees.
Palace rules dictated that one could not move about freely. Although Li Xiaomin's strength and speed had greatly increased recently through cultivation, he still dared not easily challenge the palace guards, nor dared to venture too far at night. He could only come to this relatively secluded place to cultivate, absorbing the essence of heaven and earth.
He sat cross-legged on the ground, surrounded by darkness. Li Xiaomin silently guided his true energy through his meridians, and after a while, he stopped and stood up.
Suddenly, a mournful cry echoed in the air. Li Xiaomin turned his head and saw a snow-white figure floating towards him.
Suppressing his horror, Li Xiaomin stared intently. He saw a woman dressed in white, her hair disheveled, a white ribbon wrapped around her neck, and her tongue lolling out—a woman resembling a hanged ghost. She was quite beautiful, but her deathly pale face and bright red tongue sent chills down his spine.
Like the wind, the female ghost drifted over from afar. Several will-o'-the-wisps floated in the air, illuminating her pale face. Her eyes were fixed on Li Xiaomin, and she smiled sinisterly, "Finally, someone dares to come here. I can finally find a substitute and be reincarnated!"
Li Xiaomin's lips were pale, but he forced a calm smile and said, "You've killed people and are now desperately seeking a substitute. Aren't you afraid of divine retribution?"
The female ghost shook her head and smiled bitterly, "I've been here so long; I should have been reincarnated long ago, but I'm bound by this deathly place and can't leave. I've had enough of this! As for divine retribution..." "Those who forced me to my death live comfortably for a lifetime, enjoying wealth and glory. Why don't they suffer divine retribution?"
Li Xiaomin knew that in every dynasty, there were always wronged ghosts in the palace, so he said no more. He pointed at the female ghost and shouted, "Hmph! I have the protection of the Supreme Immortal Law, all evils retreat! Get out of here at once!"
The female ghost trembled, then chuckled, "Trying to bluff me with empty words? You'd better show me some real skills first!"
She suddenly pounced, faster than lightning, her ten sharp fingers aimed straight for Li Xiaomin's throat.
Li Xiaomin gritted his teeth and sneered. His right hand rapidly drew a talisman in the air, and with a flick of his finger, the talisman emitted a golden light that shot forward and struck the female ghost with a loud crack. Caught off guard, the female ghost screamed in agony as she crashed to the ground, her body convulsing.
Li Xiaomin walked over and launched a flying kick, but missed completely, his foot passing through her body and landing in mid-air.
Unfazed, Li Xiaomin sneered smugly, "You wanted to kill me? Well, here I am, come on!"
The female ghost convulsed on the ground for a moment, then raised her head, glaring at Li Xiaomin. The places on her body where the talismans had struck her shimmered with golden light.
After a while, the golden light gradually faded, as the talismans had lost their power. The female ghost suddenly leaped up, her long, sharp nails swiftly piercing towards Li Xiaomin's eyes.
Li Xiaomin had already prepared two talismans. He stretched forward with both hands and unleashed a sharp "thud!" The two shimmering golden talismans struck the female ghost, causing her to scream in pain and fly back, rolling on the ground.
After a long while, she struggled to her feet, glancing at Li Xiaomin with fear. Knowing she wouldn't get away with it tonight, she turned and flew away, intending to soar into the dark night sky.
Li Xiaomin shouted, "Where do you think you're going!" He brandished a magical artifact he'd obtained at the same time as the Heavenly Book—a small crystal bottle. He peeled off the talisman from the bottle's opening and cried out, "Supreme Lord Laozi, swiftly as the law commands! Demons and ghosts have nowhere to hide! Swiftly!"
Golden light burst forth from the bottle's opening, as if taking form, shooting through the air and enveloping the fleeing female ghost.
The female ghost screamed in agony, twisting and struggling desperately, but unable to escape. She was dragged step by step by the golden light towards the crystal bottle.
Her body shrank little by little, until she was only the size of a finger at the bottle's opening. Li Xiaomin shouted again, "Capture!"
The female ghost shot into the bottle with a whoosh. Li Xiaomin hurriedly stuck the talisman back onto the bottle's opening, his hands and feet cold with exhaustion, his body trembling slightly. The previous struggle had depleted most of his immortal power; if he couldn't capture the female ghost soon, he would be completely exhausted.
He raised his hand to wipe the sweat from his brow, secretly pleased: "This magic really works! According to the book, it really can deal with ghosts! It's just that the talismans drawn in the air don't last long enough. It seems I still need to cultivate diligently. Once my magic power is strong enough, I won't be afraid of any ghosts!"
Looking at the white-clad female ghost, she was now imprisoned in a crystal bottle, her body the size of a fingernail. She desperately flew around, searching for a way out, but whenever she got close to the bottle's opening, she was struck by the golden light emitted from the talisman, screaming and falling to the ground.
You'er appeared out of nowhere, floating
to Li Xiaomin's side, looking at him with eyes full of admiration, trembling as she said, "Young Master is so amazing! You subdued a ghost that's been around for hundreds of years in an instant!" Being looked at with such admiration by this beautiful girl, Li Xiaomin felt immensely proud, but humbly smiled and said, "This is nothing! I'll teach you a few magic techniques later, so you can deal with ordinary ghosts too, and avoid being bullied!"
You'er obediently knelt on the ground, thanking him.
Inside the crystal bottle, the white-clad female ghost, upon seeing You'er, ceased her struggles and knelt down, pleading, "Immortal Master, spare my life! I had no choice but to resort to this tactic. Please, Immortal Master, have mercy and spare my soul!"
Li Xiaomin looked down and saw that the female ghost had lost her frightening appearance. Her pale face, flowing white robes, and striking beauty made her appear quite captivating.
Li Xiaomin coughed lightly, adopting a haughty demeanor, and coldly said, "You demon, how dare you be disrespectful to this Immortal Master! You deserve to be beaten! Quickly tell me your origins, without any concealment!"
The white-clad female ghost hurriedly kowtowed and recounted her life story.
Her name was Yue Niang. She was originally a palace maid in the Tang Dynasty palace a hundred years ago. Because she accidentally offended a noble concubine, the concubine ordered her to be beaten and instructed the palace's chief eunuch to keep a close watch on her and not let her live such an easy life.
The palace eunuchs, always opportunistic, now saw that Yue Niang had offended the Imperial Concubine and all rushed to bully and abuse her, hoping to curry favor with the Concubine. Unable to endure the bullying, Yue Niang finally ran to the woods and hanged herself, dying at the young age of twenty-something.
Because she was a hanged ghost, she could not be reincarnated and was forced to suffer in the forest. For a hundred years, though she longed to be reincarnated, she could not bear to kill, and thus endured her torment in the forest for a century.
The palace eunuchs and maids all knew that the palace was haunted, and no one dared to go to secluded places at night. Until tonight, Yue Niang saw a young eunuch come alone to the forest. Remembering how she had been bullied to death by those eunuchs years ago, anger welled up within her, and thus she made a cruel decision to take Li Xiaomin's life as her scapegoat.
Beside her, You'er was already in tears, sobbing, "How pitiful!"
Li Xiaomin also felt a pang of sympathy, scratching his head, unsure what to do with her. After
a moment's thought, he bowed to the kneeling, weeping Yue Niang in the bottle and scolded, "You wanted to harm this immortal master, but this immortal master is magnanimous and will not pursue the matter. However, staying here is not a good end for you. Why don't you come with me? In the future, when I master immortal techniques, you will have a chance to rise above your circumstances!"
Yue Niang originally didn't know his background. Although she was unwilling, she knew that her life was in someone else's hands. Being taken away by him might be better than being cooped up in this lonely forest all day. Therefore, she had no choice but to agree, prostrating herself in the bottle and acknowledging Li Xiaomin as her master.
Li Xiaomin tucked the crystal bottle into his pocket and walked back triumphantly, thinking to himself, "I'm still the best! I caught a beautiful female ghost on my first try!"
He took Yue Niang back to his room, released her, and then took out a soul-collecting jade from the treasure box. Using the immortal techniques described in the book, he collected Yue Niang's soul into the jade, wore the jade pendant on his body, and carefully concealed it with his clothes.
Yue Niang and You'er had different innate characteristics and could not appear during the day. With this jade as a vessel, Yue Niang could stay by his side at any time.
To prevent Yue Niang from getting bored and causing trouble, Li Xiaomin selected several immortal techniques suitable for ghosts to cultivate from the book and gave them to her and You'er to cultivate separately, so that they would have two more helpers in future battles.
After doing all this, Li Xiaomin was also a little sleepy. He walked to the bedside, saw that Lan'er was still sleeping soundly on the bed, climbed into bed, took off his clothes, hugged Lan'er's soft and fragrant body, and fell into a deep sleep.
After years of waiting, Consort Yun's palace finally welcomed the Emperor's arrival.
Li Xiaomin sat high on the roof beam, cautiously peering down, eager to see what the Emperor looked like.
Consort Yun, upon hearing the news from the head eunuch, was initially incredulous at the Emperor's unexpected arrival, then overjoyed. For
reasons unknown, her first thought was to send Li Xiaomin away, giving him a few taels of silver and telling him to go to another palace and not stay there.
The more she tried to stop him, the more determined Li Xiaomin became to stay and see for himself. Therefore, this audacious young eunuch, using his exceptional skills, quietly climbed onto the roof beam, patiently waiting to see the Emperor's face.
In this way, he was sitting high above the Emperor. In the deep palace, he was the only one who dared to commit such a treasonous act.
Li Xiaomin knew the danger of this, so he held his breath, lying prone on the high roof beam, afraid to make a sound.
After waiting for a long time, he heard a man's laughter. Then, a man in a bright yellow dragon robe walked up, with Yun Fei following closely behind, her face full of joy and fawning.
Li Xiaomin felt extremely displeased at the sight of this, and cursed inwardly, "You wretched woman, you usually beat and scold me, but now you follow this stinking man like a dog, what a shameless person!"
As he cursed inwardly, he stole glances at the man in the yellow robe. He saw that the man was about forty years old, of medium build, somewhat thin, and quite handsome. Although he was middle-aged, his refined and elegant demeanor was something Li Xiaomin had never seen before.
Li Xiaomin was displeased. He scrutinized the emperor closely, thinking to himself, "This old emperor is so thin, with puffy eye bags. He must be a womanizer, his body ruined by wine and women! Judging by his appearance, I wonder how
long he'll live." Having been here for a while, he had heard from others that the emperor's surname was Li, given name Yu, and that he was fond of women. To satisfy this hobby, he frequently held imperial selections of beautiful concubines and palace maids, filling the palace with them. There was also a man of the same clan, supposedly a famous contemporary lyricist, who loved writing erotic poems. Some sycophants lavishly praised him, calling him the greatest lyricist of all time, claiming no one could rival him. He wondered if that was truly true.
The Emperor, seated at the head of the table, smiled at Consort Yun and sighed softly, "I've been busy with state affairs and have neglected my beloved consort. Do you resent me?"
Consort Yun knew perfectly well that he was indeed busy with state affairs, but he was probably busy chasing women. However, she dared not show it in the slightest, only bowing down and thanking the Emperor for taking time out of his busy schedule to visit her—a truly boundless favor.
Li Xiaomin, too lazy to listen to such nonsense, thought to himself, "If I jump down now and strike that old emperor on the neck, I wonder if I could break his neck and change the dynasty?"
After consuming the elixir and practicing immortal arts, Li Xiaomin was quite confident in his skills, but he had never actually fought anyone. Currently, only Li Yu, Consort Yun, and the serving eunuchs and maids were in the room; the guards remained outside, afraid to enter. Li Xiaomin jumping down would give him a good chance of a successful strike.
However, he wouldn't do something without benefit. Although he could kill the emperor and cause a sensation, he would most likely not be able to break through the heavy encirclement of the imperial guards and would lose his life here.
Lost in thought, he suddenly saw Lan'er carrying a tea tray, trembling as she entered. She knelt before Li Yu, her voice trembling, and said, "Your Majesty, please have some tea!"
Li Yu grunted, took the teacup, and glanced at her casually, but his eyes lit up: the girl before him, though only fourteen or fifteen years old, was naturally beautiful, exquisitely pretty, with a pair of large, watery eyes that could almost steal one's soul.
Logically, at her age, she shouldn't be fully developed, but in Li Yu's eyes, her breasts were quite large, swaying gently on her chest, making Li Yu's heart itch. He was secretly amazed and almost disregarded his status to reach out and touch them.
In truth, this was all thanks to Li Xiaomin. Although material conditions prevented him from engaging in a real sexual encounter, he had spent the past two months sleeping with Lan'er every night. His favorite thing to do was to caress her breasts. Stimulated by his fingers and lips, Lan'er's development had accelerated considerably. While not yet reaching the voluptuous figure of Consort Yun, her breasts were still quite impressive, far more alluring than girls her age.
Li Yu's lustful eyes lingered on this beautiful girl, growing more and more attracted with each glance. Many girls her age were already married; even some of Li Yu's concubines were two or three years younger than her when they entered the palace to serve the emperor. It was only because Li Yu hadn't visited Consort Yun's palace in recent years that he hadn't noticed this budding flower; otherwise,
he would have already plucked her. Li Yu stared lustfully at Lan'er, while Lan'er trembled with fear and trepidation, instinctively sensing something frightening in the emperor's eyes.
Inside the room, two other people also paled.
Consort Yun was both shocked and regretful, hating herself for her lack of foresight. She had only thought of sending that annoying little eunuch far away to prevent the Emperor from suspecting any romantic involvement between her and the handsome young eunuch. Who would have thought the girl would develop so quickly? Before she even noticed, she had already grown into a graceful young woman, and now the Emperor had taken a liking to her! She was filled with remorse.
On the roof beam, Li Xiaomin was also filled with shock and anger, gripping the beam tightly, struggling to suppress the urge to jump down and kick the lecherous old man over.
In his heart, he cursed inwardly, "You old lecher! How old are you? You still dare to peep at my Lan'er! Peeping is one thing, but you old pervert dare to stare so openly and endlessly! Do you
think I'm easy to bully?" Even so, he knew this old bastard held the reins of power, able to kill, do, and bully whomever he pleased. He gritted his teeth, thinking to himself, "Being an emperor is fucking great! I'll get one myself someday, and see who dares to covet my women!"
Below, Li Yu had recovered from the initial shock of seeing Lan'er and chuckled, "This little palace maid is quite beautiful. What's her name?"
Lan'er was too frightened to speak. Consort Yun hurriedly replied from the side, "This is my maid in the palace, named Lan'er. She's always been clumsy, but she's quite pretty."
Li Yu laughed, "Good, good, tonight, let Lan'er serve me in bed."
Consort Yun and Li Xiaomin on the beam both changed their expressions drastically, almost screaming with hatred.
Consort Yun bit her lip hard, but said in a sweet voice, "Your Majesty, what does this little girl know? How could she possibly serve Your Majesty? Let me go back and train her properly. When Your Majesty comes again, she can serve you. Is that alright, Your Majesty?"
Li Yu raised his head and looked at her. Seeing her beautiful face and alluring figure, even more tempting than Lan'er, he couldn't bear to give up this pretty and charming little maid. He chuckled and said, "Why bother teaching her later? I'll stay in your palace today and watch you train her on the spot. Wouldn't that be perfect?"
Seeing that the Emperor was determined to favor this little palace maid, Consort Yun was helpless. She could only sigh inwardly that what should have been her favor was now being shared with this little girl. While Li Yu was enjoying
a perfect solution, Li Xiaomin on the beam was so angry that he almost vomited blood. Although he wanted to smash the old lecher's head with a single blow, there were many guards outside. If he really did that, he feared neither he nor Lan'er would survive.
He gritted his teeth and thought to himself, "You are unjust, so I will be unjust too. The day I become emperor, I will definitely sleep with all your wives to avenge what happened today! If I spare even one of your wives, I will change my surname to yours!"
The future was still far away, and Li Xiaomin could no longer bear to have his beloved girl taken away today. He gritted his teeth, took out the Soul-Gathering Jade from his pocket, and silently recited the incantation. After a while, he saw Yue Niang's image float out from the jade, gradually growing larger, dancing in the air, her white clothes fluttering. Although there was a somewhat eerie quality to it, she was still a beautiful woman with simple makeup, a jade-like face, and an aura of quiet elegance.
Li Xiaomin no longer had the mood to appreciate Yue Niang's beauty. He secretly activated the telepathic technique and told Yue Niang his thoughts.
A few days ago, he had used the method recorded in the Heavenly Book to make a contract with Yue Niang, taking her as his ghost slave. This allowed him to transmit his thoughts to her without speaking. Although Yue Niang was unwilling, her life was in his hands, so she had no choice but to reluctantly and tearfully sign the contract, becoming his slave for life.
At this moment, suddenly hearing Li Xiaomin's command, Yue Niang was terrified, staring blankly at Li Xiaomin, wondering if he was joking.
Li Xiaomin's face darkened with anger, glaring fiercely at Yue Niang, and he mentally commanded her to go down and use the vicious magic she had just learned to attack Li Yu!
Yue Niang had spent her entire life as a palace maid, and although she feared the emperor's authority, she dared not disobey Li Xiaomin's command. She could only wave her sleeves and fly downwards, her ten sharp fingers stabbing forward.
Li Xiaomin, perched on the roof beam, gritted his teeth and looked down. Within the palace, snow-white sleeves fluttered, and a beautiful woman in white flew through the air, her graceful figure creating a myriad of shadows. Her long sleeves danced with an eerie, ghostly aura that permeated the entire room.
But only Li Xiaomin could see all this. The others, though instinctively feeling a chill, were bewildered, attributing it to the sudden change in weather or their own intimidation by the emperor's majesty.
The Moon Maiden, circling and dancing in the air, finally dared not disobey Li Xiaomin's increasingly forceful command. With a soft cry, she shot downwards like lightning, her ten fingers pressed together like knives, aiming fiercely at Li Yu!
Suddenly, countless rays of light burst forth from Li Yu's body, dazzling and multicolored. Just as the Moon Maiden was about to pounce on Li Yu, she was suddenly struck by this tidal wave of light, screaming in agony as she was sent flying backwards. Had Li Xiaomin not used his magic to protect her spirit, she would likely have been annihilated.
The Moon Goddess's body instantly became transparent, almost vanishing. She could only muster her last bit of strength to barely fly back into the sky, clinging to the roof beam in front of Li Xiaomin, panting and groaning. Her image grew fainter and fainter, on the verge of disappearing completely.
This radiant glow was visible only to Li Xiaomin inside the house. Upon witnessing this strange sight, Li Xiaomin was greatly alarmed, thinking, "How could this be! Could it be that the Emperor truly possesses some kind of protective radiance?"
Thinking this, he felt utterly hopeless: "He is the Emperor, and I am but a lowly eunuch. Now even my magic is useless; what can I do to fight him?"
But looking down, he saw Li Yu lecherously chuckling, his lustful eyes lingering on Lan'er, already reaching out to touch her face.
Li Xiaomin was furious, thinking to himself, "If even Lan'er is taken by him, what's the point of my life? I'm going to die sooner or later anyway, and I've had enough of this eunuch life!"
With that thought, he raised his index finger, bit it hard, and spat it onto Yue Niang in front of him with a "poof."
Yue Niang was already powerless, lying there waiting for her soul to dissipate, her heart filled with bitterness. She had already endured a hundred years of misery in the forest, which was unbearable; then she was subdued by a child and forced to be his ghost slave, which only made her feel more humiliated; now, forced by him to attack the emperor, she was struck by the protective aura of the True Dragon Emperor, and seeing that her soul was about to dissipate, she was filled with despair, tears falling drop by drop onto the roof beams.
Suddenly, a surge of heat sprayed onto her body, causing Yue Niang's spirit to tremble. She felt her entire body burning hot, and her spiritual power increased dramatically. In disbelief, she looked up and saw Li Xiaomin sitting cross-legged on the beam, his face flushed and his eyes blazing with fire. His imposing appearance resembled that of a golden-armored god, and his body was also bursting with thousands of rays of light and auspicious energy, swirling around him. She was extremely surprised and stared blankly at Li Xiaomin, her mind in turmoil, unable to believe what she was seeing.
Li Xiaomin didn't see the strange sight around him. Having desperately used his immortal magic, spitting out a mouthful of blood, he felt greatly exhausted. He barely managed to raise his hand, pointing downwards, and said in a hoarse voice, "Go!"
Yue Niang gracefully rose from the roof beam, floating in the air, looking at her master with awe. Looking down at the emperor, whose auspicious aura had been suppressed by Li Xiaomin's radiant light, and who appeared to be weakening, Yue Niang was filled with mixed joy and surprise. Sensing that Li Xiaomin was urging her on, she dared not hesitate any longer. With a flick of her sleeves, her entire spirit body shot downwards like an arrow released from a bow!
At this moment, the white-clad beauty's face was filled with determination. Her ten fingers were sharp and clenched like knives as her spirit body flew down, the white ribbons fluttering throughout the room seemingly enveloping the entire building!
The spiritual energy surrounding her was concentrated at her fingertips. Yue Niang's palm strike, like an arrow, shot straight into the groin of the aging emperor. Her spirit body, like an arrow, shot through the air, pierced the ground, and disappeared into the earth.
At this moment, Li Yu's hand had already reached out, ignoring Lan'er's panicked dodges, about to caress her fair and delicate cheek. Suddenly, he felt a chill, his hand involuntarily stopping in mid-air, a strange expression appearing on his face.
He sat there blankly, his hand still suspended in mid-air, his face full of oddities, silently motionless.
Lan'er was already terrified, looking at the emperor with tears in her eyes, knowing that her virginity would inevitably be taken by him. Although this was a dream come true for every palace maid, in her heart, the handsome face of her young brother, Xiao Minzi, appeared, causing her heart to ache as if cut by a knife. Tears streamed down her face like broken pearls, falling to the ground.
Consort Yun was also stunned. She didn't know what was wrong with His Majesty, but he suddenly stopped moving, sitting there like a wooden figure, his eyes unmoving.
She stared blankly at Li Yu for a long time, finally unable to bear it any longer, and boldly called out, "Your Majesty, Your Majesty!" [China Mobile eBook Network]
After calling several times, Li Yu finally came to his senses, blankly withdrawing his hand, only to feel waves of tightness and coldness in his lower body, but he didn't know what was happening, and was too embarrassed to take off his pants to check in front of so many eunuchs and palace maids, his face turning pale and then red, quite uncomfortable.
At this moment, Li Xiaomin was even more distressed than him. Just now, he had exhausted his energy to spit out that mouthful of blood to replenish Yue Niang's strength. Now, he felt completely powerless and could only lie on the roof beam, not daring to move. He knew that if the guards discovered him, he wouldn't even have the strength to escape. He would most likely be beaten to death by the palace eunuchs as punishment for his great disrespect.
Li Yu sat blankly for a while, then stood up with difficulty. He felt sore back and had no desire for pleasure anymore. He coldly said, "Prepare the carriage, to Chongming Palace!"
Consort Yun was shocked and stammered, "Isn't Your Majesty going to stay for a meal?"
Li Yu ignored her completely, walked out with heavy steps, and, with the help of the eunuchs, sat in the carriage. With a wave of his hand, he led his large entourage away in a cloud of dust.
Consort Yun, leading her maids, knelt before the palace gates to see off the departing carriage. Reflecting on her years of waiting, only to be met with such an end, she collapsed to the ground, weeping uncontrollably, her heart filled with resentment and sorrow.
Li Yu returned to his usual chambers and secretly examined himself. Soon after, he summoned the imperial physicians for a diagnosis. When they emerged, their faces ashen, each bore injuries—inflicted by the emperor in his rage.
In Jinling City, a strange rumor circulated: the Tang emperor, old and frail, was unable to satisfy his sexual desires and was searching far and wide for renowned doctors to cure his impotence.
Hearing this, doctors from all over rushed to Jinling, offering their secret remedies and pills, hoping to cure the emperor's ailment and receive a generous reward.
However, Li Yu's illness was quite strange, coming on quickly and going slowly. No matter how many famous doctors came to treat him, they were all helpless, and there was no improvement in his condition.
From then on, there was not a single real man in the palace!

Chapter 4 of the first episode: Assassination.

Li Xiaomin felt no regret or guilt for using ghost slaves and eliminating the emperor's sexual ability. Since he had raised so many eunuchs and then poisoned them by cutting off their genitals, he should pay some price!
However, he was still a little worried. Li Xiaomin knew that this matter was too big. If it were exposed, even the extermination of ten generations of his family would not be enough to atone for his crime. Although he was alone, he did not want to be executed by slow slicing. Therefore, he had to find another way out, so as not to be left with no way out but to wait for death.
With the help of You'er and Yue Niang, he secretly dug in a secluded corner of the palace and found a lot of jewelry, gold and silver hidden underground by palace maids and eunuchs from various dynasties. Although there were not many, and nothing of great value, it was a considerable sum of money for a lowly eunuch like him.
His severely depleted essence and blood had gradually recovered through his cultivation of immortal techniques. According to the records in the Heavenly Book, his martial arts training was also progressing smoothly. That night, Li Xiaomin quietly slipped out of the palace to familiarize himself with the terrain of Jinling City, so he would know which direction to flee if things went wrong.
None of the palace guards could see through his ghostly movements. Under the cover of darkness, Li Xiaomin, like the wind, swiftly flew over the high palace walls and disappeared into the dark night sky.
Having finally escaped the palace, Li Xiaomin secretly breathed a sigh of relief, but was also quite pleased with his incredible speed.
He was still wearing eunuch's clothes, a major giveaway. Therefore, the first thing Li Xiaomin did was find a wealthy family, go inside, and get a new set of clothes to wear, so as not to reveal his identity.
He didn't know which family was wealthy; he simply looked at the houses along the streets of Jinling City, noting which ones were taller and more ornate. He randomly chose one, climbed over the wall, and ransacked the place. He quickly found a white scholar's robe. Following Yue Niang's suggestion, he also retrieved the gold and silver hidden in the house's cupboard. He silently apologized to the homeowner, carried the bag of gold and silver, climbed over the wall, and left.
Next, he inquired around and rented a house, hiding his belongings there—a kind of "three burrows" for a future escape from the palace.
That night, Li Xiaomin wandered the streets, not daring to linger. Wearing newly bought, well-fitting clothes, he climbed over the wall and sneaked into the palace.
Back in his room, he found someone sleeping on the bed. Without even looking, Li Xiaomin knew it was his beloved Lan'er. He grinned lewdly and reached for the bed.
Because he was generous with his money, giving some of the jewelry he dug up from the ground to the older palace maids, everyone in Consort Yun's palace liked him. Even though Lan'er slept in his room all night, the maids pretended not to know about their affairs, keeping it a secret from Consort Yun.
Lan'er was fast asleep when Li Xiaomin returned from playing outside, in high spirits. He quietly undressed her, gazing at her fair and delicate naked body, and lowered his head to gently lick and suckle her high, firm breasts.
Lan'er moaned softly a few times, opened her beautiful eyes, and seeing him return, smiled, embraced his head, her phoenix eyes slightly narrowed, her face flushed, enjoying the excitement her brother Xiaomin brought her.
Under Li Xiaomin's tutelage, she no longer questioned his actions. Although she felt her brother Xiaomin was somewhat mysterious, she dared not ask too many questions out of respect for him. Therefore, even if Li Xiaomin was practicing his immortal arts in the dense forest outside and didn't return all night, Lan'er would obediently sleep in his room all night, waiting for him to come back.
That night, Li Xiaomin used his nimble fingers and tongue to bring Lan'er to orgasm several times before embracing her and falling asleep together.
Before falling asleep, he gently kissed the beautiful girl in his arms, thinking hazily, "We're quite like husband and wife like this... It's just a pity... Alas!"
He sighed inwardly and thought, "My lower body has been feeling hot and itchy lately, and it gets even hotter after practicing immortal arts. Could it be that I'm really close to achieving my goal?"
The next night, Li Xiaomin sneaked out of the palace again.
In his rented room, he changed into a white scholar's robe and looked at himself in the mirror. He saw a handsome young man in the mirror and was overjoyed. He was proud and dashing, unmatched in the world. Indeed, he was a refined and outstanding eunuch.
Yue Niang and You'er stood in the room, watching him in his scholar's robes, looking smug. They covered their mouths and laughed, but couldn't help admiring his exceptional handsomeness; even among the princes of past dynasties, none could match him.
Li Xiaomin had recently noticed that his appearance was constantly changing, basically becoming more and more like his past self, like when he was a teenager. Yet, there were subtle differences, making him infinitely more handsome than before. Perhaps the difference between handsome and ugly appearances lies only in these subtle details.
He paced back and forth in the room, pondering, "You'er, Yue Niang, where do you think we should go play now?"
The two women had been in the palace for too long and were unfamiliar with the outside world. Although they were excited and wanted to see this bustling world, they could only look at each other, unsure where to go first.
Li Xiaomin took out a folding fan, snapped it open, and fanned himself lightly twice, striking a pose of dashing elegance. He smiled and said, "Since you don't know, then I'll tell you—let's go to the Qinhuai River and stroll along the pleasure boats!"
You'er was stunned for a moment, then blushed deeply, covering her face and scolding, "Young master, you're so lecherous! Isn't that where prostitutes hang out?"
Li Xiaomin nodded and smiled, "That's right, I'm going there to observe the people's conditions. Maybe I'll even run into some powerful people and learn about the current situation in the court
." Yue Niang chimed in, "Master is right. Master is a dragon among men; he can't stay in the palace for long. It's better to understand the political situation as soon as possible before deciding on his future path."
Li Xiaomin was pleased by her flattery, his eyes crinkling with laughter. He nodded repeatedly, then led the bewildered You'er and the hopeful Yue Niang out the door, heading towards the Qinhuai River.
Walking through the bustling streets, observing the throngs of people, Li Xiaomin couldn't help but admire Jinling. It truly was an ancient city, so prosperous even in this era. He wondered what other capitals were like, but perhaps none could compare.
Reaching the Qinhuai River, he found it heavily guarded, with dozens of soldiers in gleaming armor carefully protecting the banks.
Li Xiaomin, feeling uneasy, feared they were there to arrest him. He quickly hid to the side, climbing onto a rooftop on the riverbank and peering out from the shadows.
He saw that the Qinhuai River was dotted with ornately decorated pleasure boats. He could vaguely see beautiful women moving about on the boats, their graceful figures stirring a desire within him, yet he dared not approach.
After waiting for a long time, he finally saw two people appear on the largest pleasure boat and disembark.
Nearby soldiers surrounded them, their faces wary, loyally protecting the two. Li Xiaomin understood that these soldiers weren't there to arrest him, but rather to guard these two.
He looked into the distance and saw that the two were very young, appearing to be fifteen or sixteen years old, dressed in luxurious clothes, clearly sons of wealthy families.
The one in front had delicate features, skin like jade, and a touch of heroic spirit in his brows, yet was also extremely handsome; if he were a woman, he would surely be a beauty that could topple kingdoms.
The boy behind him seemed younger, with a frail appearance, but a wry smile on his face, secretly glancing at the boy in front, as if worried about something.
The two disembarked from the boat, and soldiers brought them fine horses to ride. As they mounted and were about to leave, they suddenly saw a dozen or so fine horses galloping towards the pleasure boats on the Qinhuai River.
A group of soldiers immediately became alert, their hands on their sword hilts, surrounding the two boys.
A dozen or so fine horses galloped closer, and a young man spurred his horse forward, rushing to the two men. He
cupped his hands in greeting and smiled, "Your Highness, what a coincidence to meet you here!" The slightly younger boy returned the greeting with a wry smile, "Your Highness, Prince Liang, what a coincidence! Are you also here for a visit?"
Li Xiaomin was surprised to hear this, never expecting to encounter the crown princes of two different countries here.
Although he had never met them before, he could guess that the one called "Crown Prince" was clearly Li Zhao, the Crown Prince of the Tang Dynasty, fifteen years old. His mother was originally the Empress, and he had been made Crown Prince three years ago, residing in the Crown Prince's Palace outside the main palace. He was said to be weak-willed, but due to the power of his maternal clan, his position as Crown Prince was relatively secure.
The young man riding up on horseback appeared to be eighteen or nineteen years old, exuding a fierce and imposing aura, yet his face carried a hint of frivolity. He was likely the envoy sent by the Northern Zhao Kingdom, and Zhao Guang, the younger brother of the Northern Zhao emperor. Since his elder brother had no heir, he was the first in line to the throne. Moreover, he was quite skilled in martial arts, and although the Northern Zhao royal family was prosperous and numerous, no one could challenge his position as crown prince.
According to what Li Xiaomin had recently heard in the palace, Zhao Guang was originally sent by the Northern Zhao emperor to negotiate peace. The Tang Dynasty treated him as an honored guest, but because Northern Zhao had already occupied the northern Central Plains and was powerful, and had formed an alliance with the neighboring Chen Kingdom, the Tang Dynasty would certainly be unable to withstand an attack from both countries. Therefore, the Tang Dynasty was very enthusiastic about the alliance and treated Zhao Guang with great hospitality, fearing that he might anger him and invite a large-scale Northern Zhao invasion.
Zhao Guang exchanged a few pleasantries with the Crown Prince, then looked up at the young man beside the Crown Prince, cupped his hands, and smiled, "Brother, may I ask your name?"
The young man looked up at the sky, coldly snorted, and displayed an arrogant demeanor.
Zhao Guang's expression changed, and the Crown Prince hurriedly cupped his hands, saying, "This is my cousin Li... Li Zhen. He rarely goes out and therefore doesn't talk much to people. Please forgive him, Your Highness!"
He hurriedly said a few words, then took his leave, pulling Li Zhen along the main road, heading straight for the imperial city.
After the procession had gone several dozen steps, they suddenly heard the sound of hooves. A cavalry unit charged from the side, heading straight for the Crown Prince's carriage.
Li Xiaomin looked back and saw that each knight in the cavalry unit was masked in black cloth, clad in armor, and brandishing gleaming steel swords, galloping wildly, their murderous aura filling the long street and chilling the heart.
The prince's guards paled and immediately assumed defensive stances, shouting, "Protect the prince! Protect the prince!"
Dozens of knights spurred their horses and charged forward, instantly shattering the guards' defenses. With each swing of their steel blades, blood splattered, and screams echoed through the air. More than ten guards lay dead on the spot, their bodies ripped from the ground.
Prince Li Zhao, terrified, turned and fled. Dozens of guards protected him as they fought their way back towards the pleasure boat.
The young man who had come with him was also pale with fright, and he spurred his horse to flee, but in his panic, he managed to escape into a narrow alley.
Only a dozen or so guards remained with him, also protecting him as they retreated.
The masked knights immediately split into two groups: a large majority pursued the prince, while a smaller group chased the young man, brandishing their swords and shouting, "Kill Li Zhao! Kill Zhenping!" Their fierce and chilling aura was palpable.
On the rooftop, Yue Niang stood beside Li Xiaomin and exclaimed, "It's Princess Zhenping!"
Li Xiaomin was also startled. He had heard of Princess Zhenping before; she was said to be the Empress's eldest daughter, a year older than Li Zhao, and likely Li Zhao's full sister. She was said to be sixteen years old, exceptionally beautiful, and deeply favored by her parents, enjoying immense privilege. She had little contact with the disgraced Consort Yun, so he, a mere eunuch, naturally had no chance to meet her.
Hearing that it was Princess Zhenping, Li Xiaomin hurriedly looked up and indeed saw the young woman with fair skin and a beautiful face, clearly a woman disguised as a man. He thought to himself, "The Crown Prince is dead, but such a beautiful princess—it would be such a pity if she were killed by an assassin!"
With that thought, he strode forward, running swiftly across the rooftops, leaping over ridges, and in a flash, reached the alley where Princess Zhenping had fled, running rapidly across the walls.
After days of training, aided by immortal techniques, his lightness skill had surpassed that of ordinary contemporary warriors; at full speed, he could even outrun a galloping horse. Both sides, witnessing his swift movement across the wall, were astonished, unsure whether he was friend or foe, and secretly worried.
In the alley, more than ten masked knights wielding steel blades clashed with a dozen guards. These masked knights were clearly far more skilled than the guards, quickly slaughtering them. In the guards' desperate counterattack, the masked assassins also suffered heavy casualties, leaving only three or five remaining. They surrounded Princess Zhenping, chuckling coldly, their eyes flashing with murderous intent.
Princess Zhenping looked around at her enemies, her eyes filled with terror.
This trip out of the palace was something she had forced her younger brother to do, and she had even fantasized about visiting a pleasure boat and seeing the famous courtesans. She never expected to encounter assassins, and this made her regret her actions.
"Kill her! Without her slander, the Prince of Luling can defeat Li Zhao and ascend the throne!" A deep, fierce voice came from beneath the black veil. The lead assassin raised his steel blade and brought it down with a vicious slash.
With a clang, a flash of cold light tore through the night, striking the blade and deflecting it.
A dark figure leaped from the wall, flying like lightning onto Princess Zhenping's horse. He snatched the whip from the terrified princess's hand, struck the horse's rump sharply, and instantly broke through the enemy's encirclement, galloping away down the alley.
The masked assassin stared, only to see that what had deflected his blade was a small silver ingot. He was secretly alarmed, but unwilling to abandon Princess Zhenping, he led his men, spurring their horses and galloping after the fleeing figures.
Li Xiaomin, carrying Princess Zhenping, rode alongside her, desperately urging their horses to escape. Li Xiaomin placed his hand on Princess Zhenping's lower abdomen, feeling its softness and fragrant aroma. He felt a surge of excitement and thought to himself, "She really is a girl. It feels so good!"
This was the second woman he had embraced, and he was just about to take advantage of the situation to grope her a bit more when he suddenly heard shouts of battle behind him. Turning around, he saw several dark figures on horseback chasing after him, gradually closing in, and he was greatly alarmed.
Although rescuing a damsel in distress and taking advantage of the situation was indeed very satisfying, being chased was not so pleasant. After mastering martial arts, Li Xiaomin had never actually fought anyone with swords and spears, and he was still somewhat flustered. He thought of using a hidden weapon to kill the assassins behind him, just like before.
He casually pulled out a silver ingot from his pocket, threw it backward with all his might, and heard a scream. The silver ingot flew like lightning, hitting one of the assassins squarely in the shoulder, knocking him off his horse and causing him to struggle on the ground.
Li Xiaomin thought to himself, "What a pity! I hit the wrong person!"
He had originally intended to hit the nearest enemy, but in his fear, he lost his aim and knocked down another assassin instead, which could be considered a lucky accident.
He pulled out another silver ingot, aimed at the enemy behind him, and threw it with all his might. With a loud crack, it struck the enemy squarely in the face, sending him sprawling backward from his horse. His steel blade flew far away, landing on the ground with a clanging sound.
Li Xiaomin was secretly delighted and was about to repeat the same move, but after searching his body, he found nothing but his few magical artifacts that could be used as a hidden weapon.
In desperation, he reached out and groped Princess Zhenping, hoping to find something to use as ammunition.
Princess Zhenping, her initial shock subsiding, realized she was being tightly embraced by a young man. Feeling embarrassed, she suddenly felt his hands groping her, especially on sensitive areas. Thinking he was suddenly lustful, she was filled with shame and anger, and struggled violently.
Li Xiaomin held her hands down, casually tearing a waist token from her waist. Just as he was about to throw it behind her to injure the enemy, he turned around and saw the assassins, carrying their wounded comrades, fleeing for their lives.
Li Xiaomin laughed heartily, feeling like a peerless hero who had single-handedly repelled a large number of martial arts masters. Just as he was about to boast, he heard a sharp slap and felt a sharp pain on his face.
He had been slapped hard across the face by the enraged Princess Zhenping. Li Xiaomin was stunned, covering his face and staring at Princess Zhenping in surprise, stammering, "Why, why did you hit me?"
Princess Zhenping pushed him away forcefully, not wanting any further physical contact, and said angrily, "You scoundrel, how dare you defy me, bully, bully me!"
Li Xiaomin, having kindly tried to help, had been slapped instead, and was filled with anger, glaring at her furiously.
Princess Zhenping was not to be outdone, glaring back at him. Looking at his handsome face, a thought suddenly struck her: "This lad is quite handsome, much more handsome than my brothers!"
Under the moonlight, a man and a woman rode together on the same horse, glaring angrily at each other.
By the moonlight, Li Xiaomin could clearly see that the girl before him was about sixteen or seventeen years old, two or three years older than he looked now. Dressed in men's clothing, she possessed a unique, spirited air, yet her breathtaking beauty couldn't be concealed. He was both annoyed and irresistibly drawn to her.
After glaring at her for a while, Li Xiaomin suddenly grabbed her, lowered his head, and fiercely kissed her cherry lips.
Princess Zhenping was caught off guard, letting out only a cry before her soft lips sealed her mouth. She was both ashamed and angry, struggling fiercely, but Li Xiaomin held her tightly, her arms unable to move. She could only writhe like a mermaid, her fragrant shoulders pushing against his chest, but she couldn't push him away.
Li Xiaomin's tongue plunged into her mouth, teasing her sweet tongue. His kissing skills, honed through countless practice sessions with Lan'er, were already highly refined. After several rounds of teasing, Princess Zhenping was panting heavily, her body weak and limp, leaning against him, utterly powerless to resist his advances.
Taking advantage of this opportunity, Li Xiaomin's hand slipped inside Princess Zhenping's clothes, caressing her jade-like skin, reaching her chest to touch her small, delicate breasts. He kneaded them while laughing, "So small! Truly 'Princess Zhenping'!"
To be fair, Princess Zhenping's breasts weren't small; in this era, they were slightly larger than those of girls her age. However, Li Xiaomin was used to touching Lan'er's well-developed breasts and hadn't touched other girls, so Princess Zhenping's appeared smaller in comparison.
Princess Zhenping, already panting and weak, resigned to his actions, was immediately filled with shame and indignation upon hearing these words. She bit his lip hard, causing Li Xiaomin to cry out in pain. He then pinched her nipple forcefully with his right hand, making her scream and almost fall off her horse.
Li Xiaomin licked his lips; they tasted salty, indicating she had bitten him. Angered, he was about to pinch her nipple a few times in return when he suddenly heard shouts of a large army behind them, including cries of "Protect the Crown Prince!" Clearly, the city garrison had arrived to disperse the assassins and protect Li Zhao and Princess Zhenping.
Li Xiaomin knew that if he didn't leave now, he would never be able to. Though reluctant, he could only lower his head and kiss Princess Zhenping fiercely, leaving two deep red finger marks on her small, jade-like breasts before releasing her. He then kicked his horse hard, leaping onto the roof, turning back to smile slightly at Princess Zhenping, and blowing her a kiss.
Princess Zhenping was clutching her chest, tears streaming down her face, when she suddenly saw the lecherous thief making strange movements on the wall. Overwhelmed with shame and anger, she turned and shouted to the approaching city guards, "Catch that thief!"
Li Xiaomin dared not stay there to wait for them. He strode forward, clearing the rooftop in a few strides, ignoring the soldiers' shouts behind him, his figure disappearing into the night.
He ran quickly, until he reached the other side of Jinling City, before stopping to catch his breath, knowing that the city guards would never catch up.
Suddenly, the sounds of fighting came from ahead, startling Li Xiaomin.
He hurried over, peered down from the rooftop, and breathed a slight sigh of relief: the fighters weren't city guards, but civilian warriors dressed in various colors.
One burly man raised his hand and shouted, "The territory of the East City belongs to our Green Bamboo Gang! No one can take it away! Brothers, beat them up!"
On the other side, a bearded man also raised his arm and shouted, "Kings and generals aren't born into their positions! The East City territory belongs to us! Brothers, if we take this territory, we'll all live a life of luxury!"
The civilian warriors on both sides roared and began to fight fiercely. Gripping axes and clubs, they slashed everywhere, and people fell to the ground, screaming in agony.
Li Xiaomin watched from the rooftop for a long time, noticing that their movements were as slow as snails, completely incomparable to his own. He nodded secretly, feeling gratified: clearly, he had far surpassed ordinary warriors. Although he didn't know what the masters of this era looked like, ordinary warriors were no match for him.
This gang fight was nothing new; the citizens of Jinling were used to it. They fought fiercely, and the patrolling soldiers occasionally passed by, ignoring them. At most, one or two patrol captains would shout a few words, telling them not to accidentally harm civilians, before leading their teams away, ignoring their disputes.
Li Xiaomin watched for a long time, his hands itching to fight. Seeing no soldiers nearby, he leaped down, plunged into the crowd, reached out, snatched an axe from a warrior, and casually tossed it to the ground.
The warrior was raising his axe, ready to strike the enemy in front of him, when suddenly everything went blurry, like a gentle breeze. He felt his hand go light, and the axe fell to the ground. Before he could even see what had happened, he stood there stunned.
Li Xiaomin, like a butterfly flitting among flowers, swiftly weaved through the crowd, snatching knives, axes, and clubs from their hands and tossing them away. A clattering sound followed, and dozens of gang members stood there dumbfounded, their weapons lying on the ground.
Li Xiaomin, his fighting spirit ignited, strode over to the Green Bamboo Gang leader and lunged to snatch the ghost-headed saber from his hand.
The man, however, was far stronger than his men. Seeing a hand reach out from the darkness to snatch the knife, he hastily
took a step back and swung his own blade. Li Xiaomin missed, letting out a soft "Eh!" Seeing the blade coming at him, he dodged, using the Seven Star Step to instantly circle around to the Green Bamboo Gang leader's side. He extended his fingers, gently placing them on the leader's elbow, and with a slight exertion, the man cried out in pain, his arm bone feeling as if it were about to crack. With a clatter, he dropped the ghost-headed knife to the ground.
Li Xiaomin laughed loudly, then leaped back, running backwards for over ten steps, kicking away several loyal henchmen. His right hand swung backward, landing on another gang leader's throat. With a gentle squeeze, the man felt utterly powerless, his blood clotted, and he nearly fainted.
Li Xiaomin released his grip, swayed, and stepped aside. He put his hands behind his back, looked up to the sky, and chanted, "My heroes, you are all outstanding figures of the Tang Dynasty. Why fight to the death over such a small territory?"
The leader of the Green Bamboo Gang rubbed his elbow. Looking from afar, he saw Li Xiaomin's handsome features, flowing robes, and elegant bearing as he stood proudly under the moonlight, exuding an indescribable air of freedom. He was filled
with suspicion and shouted, "Who are you? Why are you meddling in our affairs?" Another gang leader, also filled with suspicion, was about to question him when he suddenly noticed a waist token on the ground, which the young man had accidentally dropped as he stepped aside.
He was a discerning man and recognized the token's unusual nature. He hurriedly picked it up, examined it in the moonlight, and cried out, prostrating himself before bowing and kowtowing, saying, "This humble one, Du Guang, pays his respects to Your Excellency!"
Everyone was startled by his kneeling. Li Xiaomin was even more puzzled, wondering where this address of "Your Excellency" came from.
Du Guang crawled forward on his knees, holding the waist token in both hands, and presented it with trembling hands. His face showed a mixture of surprise and joy, but also a hint of fear.
Li Xiaomin knew the problem lay in this waist token. He took it and examined it in the moonlight. He saw that the token was made of gold, with four large characters engraved on it:
"As if the Emperor were present!"
Li Xiaomin suddenly understood. This waist token had been taken from Princess Zhenping earlier. He had originally intended to use it as a hidden weapon to attack the masked assassins, but the assassins had escaped quickly, and the gold token had been left on him. As to whether this gold token was a gift from the Emperor or something she had extorted from her brother Li Zhao, that remained unknown.
Now that the gold token had fallen out of his possession and been seen by Du Guang, it was no wonder that Du Guang mistook him for someone from the court. Li Xiaomin, a sudden inspiration struck him. He raised the gold medal, displaying it to the crowd, and shouted, "Since you've already recognized my identity, kneel down before me!"
Chen Lin, the leader of the Green Bamboo Gang, possessed superb internal strength and sharper eyesight than others. He vaguely saw the words on the medal and was greatly alarmed. He
immediately knelt down, repeatedly apologizing, "Please forgive me, sir! Please forgive me!" With the two gang leaders kneeling, the remaining members naturally dared not stand. In an instant, the sounds of thuds filled the air as members of both gangs knelt, filling the ground, leaving only the short, stocky boy visible among them.
