"You're back. We've decided to take Yu Yan shopping today." When I returned to Qin Yan's house with a mix of trepidation and excitement, Lina opened the door for me and excitedly told me this.
"Uh... shopping? No way!" My already somewhat depressed mood worsened upon hearing this news, and I felt even more depressed.
"They made the decision. I don't know anything about it. What am I supposed to do with whatever they decide?" Yu Yan couldn't help but laugh when she saw my distressed expression. Strangely, she didn't show the 'fierce' look I had expected, but instead wore a natural smile. But her smile only made me more uneasy. I was increasingly confused about this girl; what was she thinking?
"What's wrong? You don't want to? We have a plan. We'll show your cousin around first, and then we'll go sightseeing in a few days," Yingying said, pouting unhappily.

"Tch. Go to hell. You're so annoying." The three girls blushed with embarrassment after hearing my words. But what girl doesn't like compliments? They were still happy that I could say something complimentary. The atmosphere lightened considerably with my joke, and the three girls walked out of the house with joyful faces.
Shopping. Just hearing that word probably sends chills down a man's spine, right? It's not that men hate shopping in general; what they can't stand is shopping with women. That endless, aimless wandering around, looking left and right, going into every store that's open—that kind of tiresome walking is truly torture for a man.
Although I had made ample preparations and had put myself in the role of a porter, I still felt like crying when I started wandering the shopping street lined with shops behind the three girls. The scorching sun and the crowded streets meant that you would be sweating profusely even if you just stood still in the shade, let alone walked in the sunlight.
I followed behind three enthusiastic girls, watching them walk ahead with great excitement, and I felt incredibly annoyed. They were holding hands and carrying parasols, and the more I watched, the more frustrated I became. Why didn't I think of bringing an umbrella? I thought to myself as I walked, feeling incredibly frustrated. I was certain that Lina wasn't the one who came up with the idea to make things difficult for me, but I wasn't sure if it was Yingying or Yuyan.
Actually, there were drink stalls everywhere on the shopping street, but I walked a little further away to buy mine, wanting to get out of their sight for a while. 'You're all thirsty for a bit. I'll have my fill first.' At a small drink stall, I bought a bottle and chugged it down in one go. 'You've been making things difficult for me. I'll make you suffer for a bit too.' I thought fiercely as I drank. But I couldn't stay thirsty for too long, so after finishing my drink, I bought three more and headed back.
"Where did you go to buy it? There's one right across the street. Hurry up and bring it to me. I'm so thirsty." As soon as I returned to them, Lina started complaining. Looking at that girl's pouting face, I really wanted to slap her.
"Hehe. Didn't see it, didn't see it. Drink up! It's cold." I apologized with a forced smile and bowing, but my eyes were glaring fiercely at Lina. What made me even more annoyed was that Lina didn't even look at me. She grabbed the drink and chugged it down. My glare was completely in vain.

"Hehe. It's nothing, it's nothing. Did you really get sand in your eyes?" Yu Yan understood what I meant, but she held back her laughter and didn't tell the two girls.
"There's no wind here! Are your eyes big? There's no way sand could get in them!" Lina reached out to pry open my eyes, looking confused, while Yingying also had a strange expression on her face.
"Okay, okay. That's all, that's all." I was so angry! I don't know what's wrong with Lina, why she's acting so stupid, even trying to gouge out my eyes, damn it. I can't stand it.

"Okay. I'll follow!" I smiled wryly and followed behind them. Even after we left, I could still feel countless eyes watching our backs. A sudden worry crept into my heart. I was afraid that some bored people might actually be following us around; I'd be terrified. There are so many bored people like that in this society.
Although the mall had a nice breeze, it was completely useless for someone like me who hates the heat. I followed silently behind the three girls, my heart pounding with anxiety. My eyes darted around constantly, like a bodyguard in a movie—I was practically armed with a gun. This was the important task I was tasked with. After leaving the mall, the three girls were still basking in the excitement. Yingying and Lina were even teasing each other, it seemed girls really weren't immune to gold and jewelry. Having experienced that awkward moment, I was much more careful. Whenever they were engrossed in something, I kept a distance to avoid any unnecessary misunderstandings. That feeling of being misunderstood is truly unpleasant. It wasn't that they misunderstood me as their boyfriend, but rather that they misunderstood me as not having enough money to buy what they liked.
We wandered around the shopping street for a full half day. Although they didn't actually buy anything, I ended up with several bags full of things. They only stopped shopping when they got hungry. By then, I was drenched in sweat, my legs were weak, and I was completely exhausted. When they said they were hungry and wanted to eat, I readily agreed, at least I could rest while they ate. I looked at my watch and it was almost noon. I couldn't believe we'd been walking for nearly three hours since nine in the morning! When have I ever walked for so long?!
