My wife wants to have a second child.

A couple of days ago, I was chatting with my wife, and she said that we might have to postpone having a child. We had originally planned to have our own child after our son grew up, since we've been married for so many years and both sets of parents want us to have a child. During New Year's Day, my wife and her husband went back to their hometown to see their son, and her mother-in-law encouraged her to have another child, saying that one child can be lonely and she wanted a girl. Her husband felt the same way. My wife was quite hesitant. However, she didn't stop taking birth control pills, and finally said she'd let nature take its course.
My wife hasn't used an IUD since we got married, mainly because I was worried about the impact it would have on her health. I always use withdrawal. After marriage, my wife cheated on me and never used condoms. At first, she was worried and scared, but later she didn't care anymore. I reminded her many times, but when she was happy, she didn't care, resulting in several unplanned pregnancies and miscarriages. It was quite harmful to her health, so she started taking long-term birth control pills. In recent years, my wife and her husband have been living together, and I haven't had sex with my wife much. When she occasionally comes back, she usually doesn't stay overnight, and even when she does, we don't necessarily have sex. My wife manages to coordinate the relationships between our two families very well; she handles the relationships between our parents' families and our uncle's parents' families quite well. My wife has two men who love her and two families.
