A wonderful trip to Chongqing

I met this guy from Chongqing, G, through a friend's recommendation. We chatted for about a month, and G seemed like a multi-talented, experienced man who understood women well and had a straightforward personality. We got along really well, and since I hadn't been to Chongqing for over a year—my girlfriend lives there, and if I didn't go soon, she'd probably be staying there forever— G arranged a big drinking session that very night, along with my Chongqing friends and their spouses. At the dinner, G went on and on about all sorts of amazing stories, which were actually based on real events. It made me think he was quite a character.
Because we drank so much, it was past 11 pm when we finished. My girlfriend went back to her hotel, exhausted, and went home to rest. I slept alone at the hotel. The next morning, G came to my hotel, went on another long, rambling story, and then we started discussing what to do next.
