I never understood why people would fall for telecom scams. It's such an obvious scam, yet people still keep falling for it. It wasn't until I was scammed myself that I understood.
As a male college student in my early twenties, I was bound to have moments when my hormones got the better of me. Unsurprisingly, when I first encountered Elon Musk's X, I fell victim to a nude chat scam. The process was simple: a blogger I knew accepted an offer, and I was guided to download an app and watch videos. Then, a virus accessed my contacts, and the person on the other end recorded a video of me. Luckily, I had almost no one in my contacts, and I'm poor, so it was eventually dropped.
A fall into a pit, a gain in your wit. This experience has also made me understand why some people believe in making money through online order boosting, why some elderly people believe health supplements can prolong life, and why PTP platforms offer low risk and high returns. It's simply because we only want to believe what we want to believe, succumbing to our desires.
Furthermore, when we encounter bizarre and interesting stories, we often express disdain for the inexplicable actions of those involved. We can't help but wonder if they can't even understand such a simple principle. I suspect that they might be bound by what they possess and unwilling to relinquish it, leading to ridiculous results. I think even if I were in the same position, with the same conditions, I probably wouldn't have done any better than them.
