My wife's past

Friends, I've been using this website for a long time and have read many articles posted by others. I wanted to write down my own experience.
That was over twenty years ago, a few years after we got married, my wife got pregnant and gave birth to our child. Because her family opened a shop in the south, we went there with her since the child was young. Perhaps because we weren't used to the environment and the child was still small, we went back to our hometown. We were young then, so we definitely had physical needs. Sometimes we would go out to take a bath or get a massage to satisfy our needs. My wife stayed at home and took care of the child. Since the child was young, her desires weren't very strong, and we lived peacefully for a few years. My wife probably knew that I couldn't control myself. Back then, there was no WeChat, only QQ. Sometimes we would video chat. My wife would tell me not to mess around, and if I really couldn't hold back, I could find a way to release my pent-up desires. My wife was very understanding. I had talked to my wife about this before. Then something happened. Later, I went back to my hometown and found that my wife wouldn't let me log into her QQ account. That's when I discovered the problem. One night, her phone wasn't locked and she received a message around midnight asking if I was asleep. I didn't think much of it, assuming it was from a friend. I opened it and saw our previous chat history. Since I'd been back for over six months, the message asked why we hadn't been in touch for so long. I scrolled through the chat history, and it was all about things like "I miss you" and "darling," which made me suspicious. I had previously told my wife that I could find someone if I needed to, but I had to tell her. I had been open with her about this. After a small argument, I asked her who that person was and how far things had progressed. I said it was fine if we slept together, but she had to tell me because we both had needs. We had a cold war for over a month. I said if it didn't work out, we should get a divorce. She swore that it hadn't come to that point and that we'd only been talking for less than a year (before I came back). I didn't really believe her. I reiterated that she could find someone but had to tell me. We both understood that it didn't seem like we lived close by and it would be convenient for her to come home. She just wouldn't admit it. And that's how things have been for the past few years.
