[Urban] Hidden Sins (Complete) - 4-6

Chapter Twenty-Three: Afraid of Men

The rain continued to fall, and as time passed, the scene inside the room became indistinct.

Xue Jin lifted the thin blanket and got out of bed, looking down at his lower body—his enormous member was slowly shrinking, the surrounding hair smeared with red blood and some unknown liquid.

Xue Jin frowned. He was a clean person, and this was the first time he had been so disheveled. How many times had he done it? Three times, four times, or five times? Xue

Jin was so excited that he couldn't quite remember, but he was certain that he had been busy since late at night, with almost no rest. He slightly curled his lips, a smug and arrogant smile on his face.

When was the last time he had been so unrestrained!? He

took a few steps forward, bent down to pick up the clothes he had carelessly discarded on the floor yesterday, and slowly put them on, his hands touching the buttonholes, one by one, fastening the buttons on his chest.

At the same time, he looked up at the window—the red curtains blocked some of the light, and with the rain, it was hard to tell what time it was. Thinking this, Xue Jin went to the table, picked up his watch, and looked at it.

It was six in the morning. Xue Jin was startled.

How careless of him! He hadn't realized it was already this late. If he went out now, he'd definitely run into early risers. What should he do?

Xue Jin's original plan was to leave quietly before dawn, but the little girl's taste was so delicious that he'd become addicted and had only stopped now, satisfied.

Xue Jin steadied himself and looked up at the double-decker iron bed against the wall—it was haphazardly piled in the corner, the wrinkled sheets revealing two slender, beautiful legs spread wide apart, the small crevice in the middle exuding the fragrance of flesh.

Xue Jin's pupils suddenly contracted several sizes. His eyesight was excellent; he could even clearly see the liquid congealed between the little girl's delicate petals.

His throat was dry, as if he were thirsty. Xue Jin suppressed the desire in his groin and turned to go to the outer room.

Xue Jin picked up the basin, poured some water, and quietly began to clean himself. A few minutes later, he took a towel and wiped the water off his face before going into the inner room.

Xue Jin had worn a trench coat yesterday. He rummaged through the pockets and found a wet wipe, a gift from the restaurant where he had lunch the previous day. He

had only found one towel in the outer room, which he had used to wipe his face, but his lower body was still wet. As he walked, the large garment swayed and dripped water droplets down his thighs to his groin.

Xue Jin unfolded the wet wipe, carefully wiped his lower body, and then discarded it.

After doing all this, Xue Jin put on his pants, skillfully fastened his belt, and then saw the comb on the table. He picked it up and casually combed his hair a few times.

Xue Jin had tormented the girl half to death yesterday and was certain she wouldn't wake up so quickly, so he moved around the room comfortably. He first looked at the rice container; it was almost empty, and he couldn't help but purse his lips.

He easily found a bundle of noodles in the cupboard, but there was nothing else there—he had exerted himself a lot yesterday, and his stomach was growling with hunger.

Xue Jin, unwilling to give up, searched the entire outer room, only to find two hard steamed buns, which infuriated him.

Although Xue Jin wasn't a picky eater, he was used to having three large meals a day, and how could he possibly swallow this coarse food? Now he understood why Lian Yu was so thin.

He stared at the food in his hand for a moment, and after his stomach cramped in protest, he had no choice but to make do. Noodles it is, Xue Jin smiled bitterly, added two ladles of water to the pot, and then turned on the gas.

As the saying goes, when you're hungry, anything tastes good. After the noodles were cooked, Xue Jin wolfed them down, wiping his mouth before remembering that Lian Yu was still waiting there!

Xue Jin boiled water, added some cold water, and a little salt—he knew the girl's lower body was definitely injured, so he wanted to disinfect it with salt water.

He carried the basin to the bedside. Lian Yu was still lying there naked, with several claw marks on her chest, and her fair private parts were red and swollen from Xue Jin's impact to her lower abdomen during their passionate encounter last night. As for her crotch…

upon closer inspection, Xue Jin realized he had been too rough last night.

He washed a towel in the water, wrung it out, and applied the damp towel to the girl's private parts, along with her inner thighs, wiping them clean.

The room was still dimly lit, and her skin looked like bluish-white porcelain, with a unique delicacy. Xue Jin's large member unconsciously swelled again.

He couldn't help but recall the events of last night, stroking his penis a couple of times, feeling increasingly pleasured, but amidst the ecstasy, he also felt a sense of unease.

"What kind of bewitching me? Why am I so sexually frustrated?" Xue Jin shook his head, picked up the basin of water, and turned to leave.

On this drizzly afternoon, Lian Yu woke up.

She struggled to open her heavy eyelids, and the first thing she saw was Xue Jin's concerned face, which startled her. In her dazed state, she gradually recalled the nightmare of the previous night.

"Ah..." she screamed, seemingly about to jump up, her shrill voice almost deafening Xue Jin.

"Xiao Yu, calm down! Don't move!" Xue Jin was prepared. He leaned down and used his upper body to subdue the restless girl.

"No, no, let me go." Lian Yu's whole body ached; every movement felt like her bones would fall apart, yet she still struggled self-destructively.

"Xiao Yu, listen, listen to me, it's all over." Xue Jin gently comforted her.

"No, no..." Lian Yu sobbed loudly, her neck stiff. She didn't want to hear anything now, and looking at the man beside her, she was terrified.

Although Xue Jin appeared gentle, the girl was instinctively terrified of men.

"Child, don't make a fuss. Listen to your uncle, calm down. With your uncle here, no one can hurt you anymore." Xue Jin looked pained, seemingly heartbroken, even tears glistening in his eyes.

"No, let me go, I don't want to..." Lian Yu's mind flashed back to the blurry black shadow of the night, her heart breaking, her voice hoarse.

The little girl's face was pale, her expression somewhat dazed, her swollen, tear-streaked face filled with despair. After crying for a while, she weakly closed her eyes, letting the tears flow freely.

Xue Jin stood up only after she calmed down.

"Xiao Yu, your uncle was on business this morning and happened to pass by here. I wanted to come in and see you, but I didn't expect this to happen..." Xue Jin explained to himself, trying to absolve himself of any wrongdoing.

"Waaah..." The little girl, who had been silent, burst into tears again, her cries heart-wrenching.

"Don't cry. What if you ruin your health by crying like this? Your brother is still in the hospital. He'll be very worried if he knows you're sick," Xue Jin 'kindly' reminded her.

"No, Uncle Xue, please don't tell my brother!" Lian Yu suddenly opened her eyes, unconsciously twisting the blanket in her hands into a pretzel.

This shameful thing absolutely couldn't be known by her brother, no! It couldn't be known by anyone. Just pretend it never happened, Lian Yu tried to hypnotize herself in extreme fear.

But she immediately realized it was too difficult. The throbbing pain in her lower body constantly reminded her of the nightmare she had experienced. The man whose face she couldn't see was a devil, and no matter how much she begged him, he didn't stop violating her.

Just thinking about that hard object constantly forcing its way into her body in the pitch black made her head feel like it was going to explode.

"Ah...no, why, why is it me...Uncle!" Lian Yu broke down again instantly, still unable to accept what had happened.

Xue Jin saw the purest sadness, bewilderment, helplessness, and confusion in his eyes.

"Xiao Yu, Uncle won't tell anyone about today's events. You can trust me." Xue Jin felt this was the girl's most vulnerable moment, and he wanted to seize the opportunity to gain her trust.

"What's done is done, don't think about it too much. Get some rest. You must be hungry, Uncle will buy you something to eat." Xue Jin said, pouring her a glass of water.

Lian Yu looked pale and glanced at the glass reluctantly, seemingly unwilling to accept it. Seeing Xue Jin's encouraging gaze, she reluctantly reached out.

But before she even touched the glass, a striking red mark around her wrist pierced her heart, and she quickly withdrew her hand.

Xue Jin knew how it had happened, but he feigned anger and shouted, "It's so cruel! How could someone be like that?"

Seeing the girl sob softly, he added, "Xiaoyu, did you see who it was? If you do, tell your uncle, and your uncle will stand up for you!"

"No, no, don't say it... I don't want to talk about it anymore!" Lian Yu said, turning her head away heartbrokenly. Chapter

Twenty-Three: Afraid of Men.

Xue Jin hadn't slept all night but felt refreshed. He went out, got into his car, and drove a short distance before stopping in front of a vegetable market. He got out and went inside.

Xue Jin had originally planned to go to a restaurant to order something, but the little girl's condition was bad; she couldn't get out of bed and couldn't take care of herself completely, needing someone to stay by her side.

It would take at least several days, and he couldn't eat takeout every meal. Thinking of this, his mind started working; he might as well cook for himself. Taste aside, at least it would be hygienic.

Ten minutes later, Xue Jin carried two plastic bags of groceries into the outer room.

Lian Yu cried herself to sleep, exhausted. When Xue Jin brought in the food, he saw the little girl curled up against the wall, looking like a shrimp.

Xue Jin wiped his hands with a towel, then sat on the edge of the bed and gently nudged her.

"Xiao Yu!" Seeing no response, he nudged her harder. "Xiao Yu, get up, eat your food before you sleep!"

Without warning, Lian Yu suddenly let out a sharp scream, as if stung by a scorpion. She almost jumped up, turned around, and only quieted down when she saw Xue Jin out of the corner of her eye.

Xue Jin was also startled by her sudden action, but he immediately realized that the previous stimulation might have been too intense, making the girl even more sensitive. "What's wrong? Did Uncle scare you?"

Lian Yu shook her head, her face filled with fear, and remained silent.

Xue Jin sat on the edge of the bed, watching her—her eyes were red and swollen, half her face was puffed up like a steamed bun, and her brow was filled with endless sorrow.

He glanced at her hair again; it was a messy, matted mess, as if she'd just crawled out of a haystack.

"Eat first, then wash up before you sleep!" Xue Jin couldn't stand people being slovenly. He was a clean person himself, so the girl's appearance was truly unbearable for him, even eliciting a hint of disgust—despite being the culprit, he was clearly oblivious.

Xue Jin made vegetable porridge, eggs with garlic sprouts, shredded pork with garlic sauce, and boiled shrimp in water.

After he moved the table to the bedside, Lian Yu was already half-sitting up, wiping her hands with a towel, then staring at the tempting food, hesitant to eat.

"Why aren't you eating?" Xue Jin picked up the bowl, watching her stare blankly.

"Uncle, did you make all this?" Lian Yu was depressed and had no appetite, but the aroma of the food suddenly made her hungry.

"Yes, who else could it be but me? Is your brother the only man in the world who can cook?" Xue Jin teased with a smile.

Although Xue Jin had a nanny, his son was a picky eater, always insisting that his father's cooking was the best. So, when he wasn't busy, he was happy to cook for his little one at home.

Lian Yu quickly shook her head, indicating that she didn't mean it that way.

Xue Jin chuckled, not wanting to tease her any further: "I know, you don't need to explain. Hurry up and eat, the food won't taste good if it gets cold!"

As he spoke, Xue Jin placed a piece of scrambled egg in her bowl.

"Thank you, Uncle, I can do it myself!" Lian Yu held the rice bowl, feeling as if it weighed a ton. She realized she should say something, and hesitated while taking small bites of rice.

After thinking for a while, she felt that nothing she said could express her gratitude, and she couldn't help but feel a little frustrated.

"What's wrong, Xiao Yu? Eat up!" Noticing her unusual expression, Xue Jin smiled gently and put the peeled shrimp into her bowl.

"Uncle, you eat yours, don't worry about me, I'm fine, I just feel..." Lian Yu looked at the bright red prawns, each about 8 or 9 centimeters long, and wondered how much they cost!

"...Hmm?" Xue Jin hummed softly.

"I think you're so kind...you're so kind to me and my brother, I don't know what to say, thank you, Uncle Xue!" Lian Yu looked up, her eyes filled with sincere gratitude.

"Silly child, talking nonsense again." Xue Jin put down his bowl, stretched out his arm and placed it on the girl's head, gently patting it twice: "Don't thank me, maybe Uncle will need your help in the future?"

A strange smile flashed across Xue Jin's face, but it quickly turned into a smooth and kind expression.

Lian Yu instinctively shrank back, her heart pounding: she barely managed to suppress the urge to run away, fine beads of cold sweat appearing on her nose.

Xue Jin narrowed his eyes, silently observing her slightly trembling body, and withdrew his arm at the opportune moment.

Then he picked up his chopsticks, his expression becoming inscrutable—he stared at the little girl's pale face, thinking, "She seems to be afraid of men!"

Chapter Twenty-Four: Overnight

Stay After dinner, night fell.

Xue Jin wandered around outside but couldn't find a toilet. Just as he was at his wit's end, he happened to run into the landlady carrying a bucket of water.

Although there was a light inside the house, it couldn't illuminate the entire yard. In the dim light, she didn't pay much attention at first to the large man standing there. Later, as he got closer, she thought he was a guest, but upon closer inspection, he seemed unfamiliar.

This made the landlady wonder, "What is this man doing so late at night?"

She stopped in her tracks as they brushed past each other. Xue Jin noticed her presence, turned to look at her, and politely greeted her, "Hello!"

Aunt Zhang was a typical rural woman. She had moved here with her daughter only because her husband owned a small factory nearby, hoping for a comfortable life. However, she hadn't expected her husband to go astray once he had some money, disappearing for days on end.

From her initial grief and outbursts, crying and screaming, to her current calm acceptance of reality, it had only been two years. She had come to understand that if a man's heart had changed, even death wouldn't change his mind.

So now her life was quite comfortable. She received alimony each month, spent her free time playing mahjong, traveling occasionally, or visiting her daughter at school—a rather carefree and leisurely life.

At that moment, Aunt Zhang paused, and in the dim light, she could barely make out the stranger's appearance—he was indeed very handsome, with a dignified and gentle demeanor, and a pleasant, resonant voice.

"Who are you?" Aunt Zhang usually hangs out with those card players, the air is thick with smoke, and none of the men are clean and tidy. But the man in front of her is quite different.

Wearing a trench coat, a white shirt, and tailored suit trousers—though the exact colors were unclear—he looked very gentlemanly.

Unconsciously, Aunt Zhang felt a surge of goodwill towards him, a slight smile appearing on her dark, square face.

"My surname is Xue, I'm Lian Yu's uncle. I just arrived from out of town today and will probably be staying here for a while," Xue Jin introduced himself simply. Seeing Aunt Zhang nod slightly, he continued, "You're the landlady, right? Lian Yu mentioned you to me."

Even at this hour, the woman was dressed casually—a large cloth jacket, brightly colored floral shorts—and carrying a bucket of dirty water as she came out of the main house, presumably to take out the trash.

Xue Jin suddenly remembered the girl mentioning something.

"Really? I didn't expect Lian Yu to mention me, haha." Aunt Zhang's smile was a little unnatural. She felt it was somewhat impolite for a handsome man to see her like this, so she quickly said, "It's rare for Xiao Yu to have relatives visiting her, you should spend more time with her."

"I'm going to get some water now, see you later!" Aunt Zhang said, about to walk away, but was immediately stopped by the man.

"I'd like to trouble you, could you tell me if there's a restroom nearby?" Xue Jin had drunk porridge that evening, so it was normal to need to use the restroom. However, what wasn't normal was not being able to find a convenient place.

He had already thought that if all else failed, he would just find a secluded corner to relieve himself.

"Restroom?" He immediately realized and pointed to the back of the main house, saying, "Look over there, go in from this side, it's just a few steps away."

Xue Jin smiled wryly, thinking that it was no wonder he couldn't find it if it was so hidden: "Thank you!"

With that, Xue Jin strode confidently toward the main house, following the path paved with blue bricks for several dozen steps, finally arriving at a small house.

As Xue Jin approached, he was immediately hit by a pungent odor. He unconsciously fanned his face with his hand. "

Is this toilet even usable?" A wave of nausea washed over him. He turned and went to the eaves on the side of the main house, spread his legs, unbuckled his belt, and pulled down his underwear.

His long penis was semi-erect, and a stream of warm urine gushed out.

As Xue Jin urinated, he thought, "This place is really inconvenient. Is this even fit for human habitation?" If he stayed here for a few days, he'd likely encounter even more inconveniences. Then he thought of Lian Yu.

The little girl was bedridden because of him, and going to the toilet was a problem. Most importantly, he had to go to work on Monday, and this constant running back and forth wasn't going to be efficient. Xue Jin fastened his belt while deep in thought.

Xue Jin lifted the curtain and entered the room. Lian Yu, who had been staring blankly at the bed with her large, watery eyes, turned around at the sound and looked at him.

"Xiaoyu, it's getting late. Uncle's going back now. You should get some rest too, okay?" Xue Jin had been busy all night, his eyes were dark, and now that night had fallen, he felt sleepy.

"Ah..." Lian Yu's heart skipped a beat when she heard this.

Seeing that she didn't speak, Xue Jin looked at her expression and saw that she seemed a little scared. His eyes held a hint of pity.

"What's wrong?" Xue Jin moved closer, his tall figure standing by the bed. The girl's vision went dark—the man was blocking the light.

"Uncle, could you... could you not leave yet?" The little girl said, tears welling up in her eyes.

Hearing her say this, Xue Jin sat down firmly on the edge of the bed. The low bed was already small, and now the space felt even more cramped.

"You're scared? Okay, Uncle won't leave. Uncle will stay and keep you company for a while longer." Xue Jin really wanted to refuse, because he was so sleepy and his nerves were severely fatigued.

But he couldn't help it; the little beauty needed him, and he had to pretend to be very enthusiastic and understanding.

"How are you feeling?" Xue Jin tucked the blanket around the girl, his handsome face full of concern.

Lian Yu knew what he was asking, but shyly lowered her head.

"If you're not feeling well, tell Uncle, and Uncle will take you to the hospital." Xue Jin pretended to care about her health, but in reality, he knew that the little girl, concerned about her reputation, wouldn't want to go to such a place for examination and treatment.

Besides, there was the issue of money! Looking at the almost bare walls of their home, Xue Jin knew that Lian Yu didn't have extra money for medical treatment and wouldn't accept his help, so even if it was difficult, the little girl would grit her teeth and get through it.

"No need, Uncle, I'm fine. I took the medicine you bought, and I'm much better now," Lian Yu murmured, feeling a warmth in her heart.

If Uncle Xue hadn't been there, she would definitely be even more upset. But then she thought about how he knew about her humiliation, and she couldn't help but feel awkward.

She was tainted; would he have some negative thoughts or opinions about her?

Lian Yu thought anxiously, feeling ashamed of herself, her face growing paler. Seeing her cold expression and silent tears, Xue Jin knew she was heartbroken again because of last night's events.

"Xiao Yu, don't be sad. You'll be fine in a few days. Don't put too much pressure on yourself; it will affect your studies. Be strong, okay?" Xue Jin played the good Samaritan again.

Lian Yu nodded, sniffling and choking back tears. "Uncle, I'm fine."

"That's a good girl!" Seeing she seemed less dejected, Xue Jin smiled and patted her hand, but after only a brief touch, her slender white hand quickly pulled away.

Xue Jin's gaze was cold; he really wanted to grab that escaping hand and knead it wantonly.

Lian Yu also felt a little embarrassed. She glanced at the man's expression; he seemed somewhat displeased. She couldn't help but secretly blame herself. Uncle is a good person; he just wanted to comfort you. Why were you afraid?

But she couldn't control her instinctive reaction. The man's hands were large and hot, and looked very strong, reminding her of the stranger who had assaulted her.

His hands were like that too, almost breaking her wrist. Thinking of this, Lian Yu unconsciously touched her own swollen wrist.

Xue Jin softened his expression and changed the subject: "It's Saturday today, and you have to go back to school the day after tomorrow. Is this okay?"

"..." Lian Yu lowered her head and thought for a moment, then gently shifted her body. Immediately, an indescribable pain came from her lower body, and she shook her head helplessly.

"Uncle will ask you for a day off on Monday!" After the girl nodded, Xue Jin continued, "Xiao Yu, Uncle also has to go to work on Mondays. And you live so far away from me, it might be inconvenient to keep going back and forth, so how about..."

Seeing the little girl raise her big eyes and stare at him intently, seemingly very concerned about what he was about to say.

“Why don’t you move to XX Road? Uncle has an apartment there. It’s close to my home and not far from my workplace, so it’ll be more convenient for Uncle to visit at noon and in the evening.”

Xue Jin had been considering this earlier. The conditions here were terrible, and the surrounding area was chaotic, unlike the privacy of an apartment building. More importantly, it would save him time. If he kept coming here, coming home late every day, his wife might become suspicious, and that would be troublesome.

Lian Yu hesitated, feeling it was too abrupt, and said, “Is this...is this okay? Isn’t Uncle too much trouble? I’ll be fine in a few days.”

“Xiao Yu, listen to Uncle. It’s not safe for you to stay here alone. What if something happens again?” As soon as he said this, he saw the fear in the little girl’s eyes, and Xue Jin understood.

He smiled amiably: "Uncle bought that house a few years ago. It's a one-bedroom apartment. It's been empty ever since we moved into the new house. Since it's just sitting there, why don't you go live there? It's very safe there. The security door has three locks. Even the most skilled thief can't pry it open."

Lian Yu was very tempted. She was truly terrified; she didn't want to experience that nightmare a second time. She blinked her big eyes and smiled gratefully, "Thank you, Uncle!"

Chapter Twenty-Four: Overnight Stay.

Xue Jin spent some more time with Lian Yu, talking about his university days. The little girl found it fascinating, listening intently without blinking.

An hour passed, and Xue Jin's eyes became bloodshot.

He unconsciously yawned, rubbing his sore eyes, looking somewhat listless. Lian Yu noticed his sleepiness but didn't say anything.

Finally, Xue Jin couldn't stay awake any longer and almost dozed off. He smiled apologetically at the girl, "Xiao Yu, Uncle is really tired today. It's only a few o'clock, and I'm already this sleepy."

Lian Yu just smiled and looked at him.

"It's 8:30. Uncle should go! It's too late; my family will worry." Xue Jin not only wanted to sleep but also wanted to take a hot bath.

He was very clean; if he didn't shower for a day, his body would itch.

Seeing him stand up, the little girl didn't speak, only staring at him expectantly, like a small animal about to be abandoned, indescribably pitiful.

Xue Jin patted his pants and stood there motionless.

"Xiaoyu, Uncle has to go, I'll come see you again tomorrow!"

Lian Yu still didn't speak, her big eyes blinking incessantly, unconsciously revealing a pleading look.

Xue Jin licked his lips. The girl's snow-white face, though still swollen, looked very fragile in her big eyes; any man would feel pity for her.

"Don't you want me to leave?"

Lian Yu was silent for several seconds, then nodded gently: "I'm afraid to stay here alone. I don't want you to leave, Uncle, but you want to go home?!"

Thinking about being alone in this dark room, Lian Yu was terrified.

Was she depending on him? At least there was some trust now. Xue Jin pretended to frown, feigning difficulty, then sighed softly, "Alright then, Uncle won't leave."

Lian Yu's face lit up at his words, her heart feeling much more at ease.

"Really? Uncle?"

Xue Jin chuckled and nodded. "But I need to call home."

Xue Jin went out briefly and soon returned.

"It's all settled. I'll go boil some hot water, we'll wash up and go to sleep." Xue Jin's words carried a hint of ambiguity, but Lian Yu was too busy being happy to notice.

Xue Jin didn't turn on the light in the outer room. Using the little light streaming from the inner room, he stripped himself completely naked and wiped himself thoroughly, especially his groin area.

After he finished washing, Lian Yu's face was fair and delicate, glistening with moisture, looking incredibly moisturized.

Xue Jin moved the washbasin by her bedside to the outer room, then carried the chamber pot he had bumped into yesterday into the room, thinking to himself, "I've never taken care of my son like this before!"

However, he didn't feel wronged, because today's effort meant tomorrow's reward.

"Xiaoyu..." He looked up and saw the girl with her head down, her face flushed and pale. He was startled, then suddenly realized something. Xue Jin was wearing a cotton vest on his upper body, but his lower body was wearing loose boxer shorts.

His large penis was restlessly trying to peek out.

Damn! A surge of unease ran through Xue Jin's lower abdomen. Without saying a word, he hurriedly jumped onto the upper bunk of the bunk bed. As soon as he lay down, looking at the glaring light, he realized something was wrong.

The light wasn't off yet...

Reluctantly, Xue Jin got out of bed again, quickly went to the light switch, and gently pressed it. The room immediately plunged into darkness, so dark you couldn't see your hand in front of your face. Xue Jin groped his way forward and finally touched the bedpost.

After the iron bed shook a few times, the room fell silent.

Half a minute passed, and Xue Jin turned over. A minute passed, and Xue Jin turned over again. Then he started lying on his stomach or back, but he was restless. He had been very sleepy, but now he couldn't fall asleep.

As for Lian Yu? She was also secretly wide-eyed. The scene just now had left her shaken. After all, she was just a little girl. Although she had been raped, she was not psychologically or physiologically mature.

So she was traumatized. Although she hadn't seen what her uncle's thing looked like, she felt fear...

After an unknown amount of time, Xue Jin vaguely heard a sound from the outer room, a very faint sound of running water, the flow was very even, as if it was intentionally controlled.

Xue Jin shuddered and suddenly woke up: it was the little girl urinating!

Thinking of Lian Yu squatting there, her white vulva exposed, her delicate slit slightly open… Xue Jin's heart pounded, and he listened intently, almost obsessively…

He found the sound so beautiful, more melodious than any music.

Finally, the sound stopped, and the little girl staggered back into the darkness, got into bed, and carefully lay down.

Xue Jin opened his eyes wide, realizing that staying was a mistake… He seemed to be having trouble sleeping again.

Chapter Twenty-Five: Falling into the Trap

The next day, Xue Jin, sporting dark circles under his eyes, drove to Lian Yu's middle school and, posing as a relative, requested a sick leave for her. The homeroom teacher didn't have a strong impression of this student, given her less-than-stellar academic performance.

However, seeing Xue Jin's handsome appearance and eloquence, the teacher didn't make things difficult, only asking him to write a leave slip, then adding, "The final exams are coming up; I hope she recovers quickly and doesn't miss the exams."

This was an entrance exam; Lian Yu was about to enter the second year of middle school, and her grades affected her class placement.

Xue Jin nodded repeatedly, "Don't worry, teacher, I'll urge her to study hard."

The man thanked him again, drove back, and stopped at a store to buy some things—bedding, daily necessities, and some cooking utensils and ingredients.

Xue Jin's old house was empty; besides a bed, a coffee table, and a few chairs, there was nothing else. He really needed to buy some necessities to make it habitable.

Xue Jin drove fast, thinking about how he could soon have a mistress, and a sense of triumphant joy welled up inside him.

Rich men often kept mistresses for fun, and now he was following the trend!

Actually, Xue Jin always felt he was doing quite well. He had several million in savings, and three or five mistresses—just right. Too many, and he wouldn't have time to deal with them; too few, and he'd get bored.

But he had never even considered keeping a mistress. Why? Perhaps it was excessive caution. After all, he was a public servant, and having a scandal wouldn't be good. Most importantly, he couldn't let his wife hear anything, otherwise, his future would be in jeopardy. And now, he had unwittingly ended up with a young girl by his side.

But he wasn't averse to it; in fact, he felt a bit smug. As the saying goes, men are about maturity, women about youth. Men display their wisdom through maturity, and women display their freshness through youth.

This mature and successful man had indeed taken a young girl who was so tender she seemed to be able to squeeze water out of her. The scene of him ruthlessly conquering Lian Yu that night resurfaced in his mind, and a wicked smile quietly bloomed on his lips.

Lian Yu lay on the bed quietly reading a book. After a while, her eyes became a little tired, so she changed her position, half-lying, half-sitting, leaning against the wall, with her Chinese textbook spread out on her lap.

When Xue Jin walked in, Lian Yu was just about to get up to get an algebra book from her bag.

"Xiaoyu, what do you need? Uncle will get it for you." Seeing her legs dangling by the bedside as she put on her shoes, Xue Jin put his car keys in his large pocket and hurried over.

"Uncle Xue, you're back! Could you get me an algebra book? Thank you!" Lian Yu's lower body still ached; she hadn't been too embarrassed to apply ointment last night, and Xue Jin had forgotten about it.

Following her finger, Xue Jin saw the faded yellow schoolbag.

"Okay, right away." He opened the girl's schoolbag; there weren't many textbooks inside, and he easily found the book Lian Yu wanted.

The book wasn't covered, and the words on the cover were neat and beautiful, very pleasing to the eye.

"Is this the one?" Xue Jin turned and held the book up so the girl could see it more clearly. After she nodded, he held the book in his palm and presented it to her.

"Xiaoyu's handwriting is really good!" Xue Jin sincerely praised her. Now he considered the little girl one of his own, and he was somewhat pleased with her 'advantage'.

Two rosy clouds flew across Lian Yu's little face. No one but her brother had ever praised her like that before, and she felt a little embarrassed yet incredibly happy.

In her heart, Xue Jin was a "high-ranking official," a capable man driving a large car. Receiving his praise made her feel genuinely pleased.

The little girl's innocent appearance was utterly adorable. Seeing her joyful expression, he knew she had grown even more fond of him, so he moved closer and plopped down on the edge of the bed.

He watched Lian Yu turn the pages of her book, seemingly engrossed in the words, and leaned even closer, immediately catching a whiff of the faint scent of soap on her.

It was a light, clean fragrance that gave a very comfortable feeling. Xue Jin's heart stirred instantly. He pretended to read with her, but his eyes were constantly darting towards the little girl's slightly fuller chest and her fair neck.

Lian Yu felt very uncomfortable. First, the man was too close to her; she could almost hear his breathing, which instinctively frightened her. She felt that if he opened his arms, he could pounce on her onto the bed. Second, she wasn't used to being watched so closely while studying; it made her nervous and difficult to concentrate.

She forced herself to be serious, turned to a page in her book, picked up her scratch paper, and began calculating the equations in the exercises.

For a moment, the room fell silent, broken only by the scratching of a pen on paper.

Xue Jin watched for a while, a burning desire rising within him, making him restless. He feared he might do something foolish if this continued, so he quickly shifted his attention.

"This is one mistake!" He often tutored his son at home, and now he wanted to correct any mistakes he saw.

"..." Lian Yu checked again and realized she had indeed been careless. She immediately corrected herself, then suddenly remembered something: "Uncle, did you ask the school for leave for me?"

Xue Jin immediately responded to her question: "Yes, the teacher agreed."

"However, you have exams in half a month. The teacher hopes you can recover quickly and go back to study as soon as possible." Xue Jin said, noticing that the little girl's expression was somewhat dejected.

"What's wrong?"

Lian Yu looked up and answered without thinking: "I'm not confident about the final exams."

Everyone else is studying at school, and it's no use for me to work hard at home. After all, the teacher's explanations aren't as thorough, and my grades will definitely fall behind the other students.

Xue Jin smiled amiably, took her algebra book, and flipped through a few pages: "These concepts are very simple. If you trust your uncle, I can help you review, okay?"

Lian Yu's eyes widened, and she exclaimed excitedly, "Really? Uncle!" Then, she immediately thought of something: "Isn't that a bit inappropriate? You're very busy."

"I am very busy, but even so, I still have this much time." As he spoke, Xue Jin smiled generously under Lian Yu's grateful gaze.

At noon, the two ate boiled noodles with tomato and egg. Xue Jin's white shirt had accidentally gotten some stains, which annoyed him greatly, but there was nothing he could do. He had been so busy with errands that morning that he hadn't gone to the hotel to get a clean set of clothes.

He could only wet the stain with water and rub it carefully dozens of times until it wasn't so noticeable anymore, which made him feel a little relieved.

After lunch, Xue Jin helped the girl pack her clothes, including a few pieces of underwear, which were quite cute and seemed to have cartoon patterns.

He glanced at the little girl's uneasy expression but didn't dare look closely.

"Just these few items?" Xue Jin noticed the bundle was quite empty.

"That's all. I won't be staying long. Okay, I'll move back." Lian Yu was a little embarrassed; she didn't have many clothes to begin with, so there wasn't much left to bring.

Xue Jin didn't speak, secretly thinking: Won't be staying long? That's probably up to me.

Chapter Twenty-Five: Falling into the Trap

. But how many clothes she had didn't matter; she could always buy more! He subtly observed the little girl; her thin body was draped in an ill-fitting t-shirt. Xue Jin curled his lip.

After everything was settled, Lian Yu intended to walk out the door by herself, but unexpectedly, Xue Jin swept his long arm and scooped her up in his arms without warning.

This startled her, and her body began to tremble uncontrollably.

Seeing the little girl's mouth half-open, as if she wanted to scream but dared not, Xue Jin gave her a reassuring smile: "Xiaoyu, don't be afraid, Uncle isn't a bad person."

As they reached the courtyard gate, they happened to meet the landlady, who looked at them in surprise: "Oh dear, Xiaoyu, where are you going?"

A faint blush appeared on the little girl's pale face. She was about to speak when Xue Jin interrupted, "Landlady, Xiaoyu hurt his leg. I'm taking him to see a doctor."

Hearing this, Aunt Zhang immediately focused her gaze on the girl's legs: "Really? How did this happen? Is it serious?"

"It's just a child falling while walking and jumping. A little medicine will do the trick."

"Hmm, look at that! She really wasn't careful. Now she's suffering. She'll have to be careful in the future! Alright, you two go ahead!" Aunt Zhang, hearing this, didn't suspect anything and even sighed kindly.

After the two got into the car, Lian Yu asked in surprise, "Uncle, when did you and Aunt Zhang meet?"

Xue Jin had just called Aunt Zhang "landlady," which meant they had met before!

"Last night when I went out, I happened to run into her getting water outside, and we chatted for a bit!" Xue Jin explained casually.

"Really?" The little girl gave a perfunctory reply.

"I told her I'm your uncle, so she doesn't need to worry about anything." As if reading her mind, Xue Jin added.

Lian Yu stiffened, lowering her eyes shyly, thinking: Uncle is so amazing, he knows everything I'm thinking!

The car hadn't gone far when it entered a tree-lined avenue, with lush green crops on both sides. This scene reminded Lian Yu of her small village back home and the kind-hearted villagers there.

Before they knew it, they were in the city again. After driving for about ten minutes, the car turned into an alley.

"We're here!" Xue Jin said, getting out of the car and opening the other door to lift Lian Yu out. Just then, two young men passed by, glancing at them intentionally or unintentionally.

A chill ran down Lian Yu's spine; she felt incredibly embarrassed and lowered her head even further.

Xue Jin's house was quite old; the exterior had weathered beyond recognition, leaving only exposed blue bricks exposed to the sun.

The girl was light and flexible, making her comfortable to carry. After reaching the third floor, Xue Jin reluctantly put her down, then took out a bunch of keys, selected one, and deftly opened the door.

Despite the old building and hallway, the interior was bright and spacious.

Entering, there was a small living room with a large red coffee table in the center. Several worn-out chairs folded up against the wall in one corner, and an old-fashioned ceiling light directly above the coffee table.

"Xiaoyu, see this? I used to play mahjong with my friends here all the time!" Xue Jin smiled, pointing to the coffee table, reminiscing about those 'difficult' years with a mix of emotions.

Back then, his father-in-law disapproved of his marriage. Because he lacked connections, the apartment he received was in a less desirable location and had a less desirable layout. His wife often complained about this, but he persevered, climbing the ladder step by step. In less than two years, his father-in-law's opinion of him had changed.

His career path became increasingly smooth, and through his intelligence and opportunities, he secretly amassed a considerable fortune. Life is truly full of ups and downs. He came from a single-parent family; his father died early, and his mother later fell seriously ill. He sold his house to pay for her treatment, spending all his money, but still couldn't save her life.

Then, penniless, he seized an opportunity and got together with Bai Sisi, changing his fate forever. It must be said, he had foresight and was intelligent.

Xue Jin then pointed to two spaces on the right—the kitchen and the bathroom, both small, about three square meters.

He then considerately supported the little girl's arm and pushed open the door to the left bedroom.

In the northwest corner against the wall was a Simmons mattress, an early type of double spring bed. Next to the bed was a white bedside table, and right next to the bedside table was a large, yellowish sofa, its surface cracked, revealing a fuzzy white substance underneath.

Further ahead, in the southeast corner of the wall, was a simple TV cabinet.

"This house is a bit old, and not very big, but it has great natural light," Xue Jin said, looking at the somewhat grayish-white walls and the dusty floor.

Lian Yu, however, thought it was quite nice, much better than her own small bungalow. It had a floor, a large bed, a bathroom, and a bright kitchen.

She looked at everything with delight: "Uncle, it's nice, the house is nice, I like it."

"Really? If you really like it, how about I give it to you after we've spent more time together?" Xue Jin said, half-jokingly and half-seriously.

Lian Yu shook her head, instinctively knowing it was a joke: "Uncle, what are you saying? I can't accept that."

Seeing her reserved look, Xue Jin just smiled and didn't say anything more. Then, Xue Jin went downstairs and carried up the things he had bought, along with the little girl's clothes. Then, he rolled up his sleeves and began cleaning the room, while Lian Yu helped him wash the rags. In a short while, the whole room was sparkling clean, even the air felt fresh.

The two smiled at each other, and Lian Yu said, "Uncle, take a rest. You're all sweaty."

Xue Jin took the tissue she offered and nodded with a smile.

Twenty minutes later, Lian Yu had made the bed, and Xue Jin had already put the ingredients in the kitchen. Then he took out clean towels and toothbrushes, all in even numbers.

Lian Yu watched him put these things in the bathroom, feeling a little strange, but she didn't say anything.

Chapter Twenty-Six: Sharing the Bed

The fire on the stove was burning brightly, and the small kitchen was filled with smoke.

It was already dark, and Xue Jin closed the windows early to prevent mosquitoes from coming in and making it difficult to sleep peacefully at night. There was no range hood in the kitchen, so it was extremely stuffy and unbearable.

After coughing twice, Xue Jin gently shook his arm, tossing the large ladle around. In a short while, a fresh stir-fried vegetable dish was ready.

This was the last dish, and Xue Jin carried it inside and placed it on the bedside table.

"Xiaoyu, stop reading and it's time to eat." He chuckled, speaking with a doting tone, as if he were talking to his own child. The little girl, lying on the bed, was engrossed in her book.

Hearing the man call her, Lianyu looked up from her book and glanced at the dishes beside her.

"Uncle, you made so much again?" Lianyu clicked her tongue in surprise. The man was incredibly kind to her, which made her feel even more guilty.

"You're a patient now, you need to get enough nutrition to recover quickly." Xue Jin finished speaking and went out again, then handed her a clean towel.

"Wipe your hands!"

"Uncle, this is wasteful. How can we finish so much?" Lianyu took the towel and carefully rubbed her little hands.

"Can't finish it? I can eat a lot!" Xue Jin raised an eyebrow. These dishes were all very common, and he usually lived like this too. He understood the girl's thoughts, after all, their living standards were quite different.

"..." Lian Yu remained silent, but in her heart, she was certain that this was a special favor from her uncle.

"Thank you!" Xue Jin served her rice and placed it in front of her.

"Don't be so polite, eat up!" Xue Jin said, picking up his bowl and starting to eat as well. He was a grown man and didn't care much for formalities, practically wolfing down

his food. Soon, he had another bowl; he was truly hungry, and it had been years since he'd exerted himself like this.

Lian Yu was still somewhat reserved, eating in small bites, being especially careful when picking up food, always choosing the blandest dishes. She genuinely didn't want to take advantage of him.

She knew she was broke; this meal would cost her half a month's food expenses, and she couldn't repay it, but she owed him a favor. She couldn't keep owing him like this forever; once her brother got out of prison, they would definitely thank him properly.

As Lian Yu was lost in thought, she suddenly felt a hand reach out, and she froze.

Xue Jin casually brushed the rice grains from the girl's mouth: "How can you eat like this? You're eating outside! Eat slowly, no one's going to take it from you!"

The little girl's face flushed, and her lips, touched by his hand, felt numb.

Xue Jin saw her lower her head uncomfortably, her long eyelashes fluttering incessantly. He didn't know what she was thinking, but she was definitely shy.

So innocent? Just a touch on the face and she's like this!

Xue Jin's eyes became hazy as he stared at the little girl—her fair collarbone, her slightly perky breasts, and her flower-like face!

The more he looked, the more beautiful she became. This flower bud was about to bloom, so tender and fresh, he wanted to devour her whole.

Lian Yu was unaware of the man's lewd thoughts. Besides blushing, she also felt a sense of disgust; after all, not just anyone could touch her face.

Although she felt that her uncle probably didn't mean any harm, she instinctively resisted his touch, feeling offended.

After dinner, Xue Jin checked his watch—8 o'clock.

"Xiaoyu, Uncle's going out for a bit. I'll be back later. Lock the door for me," Xue Jin said, picking up his trench coat from the back of the sofa.

The little girl nodded and followed the man to the door.

Xue Jin first demonstrated how to lock the door, then turned to the girl: "Did you understand?" After she nodded affirmatively, he continued, "I'm leaving. Lock the door. If anyone knocks, ask who it is first. If it's not me, don't open the door."

Lian Yu responded, and Xue Jin pushed open the door and went out.

After going downstairs, Xue Jin went straight to the car parked not far away, opened the door, got in, started the engine, and drove the car out of the alley.

Outside, the lights were bright, and the traffic was bustling; it was quite lively.

As Xue Jin drove, he took out his phone and dialed home. A moment later, a woman's voice answered.

"Sisi?" Xue Jin was startled; he hadn't expected his wife to be home so early. Usually, only his son was home at this time, but he didn't show any sign of surprise.

"It's me. What time are you coming home tomorrow?"

Xue Jin's mind raced, and he almost immediately replied, "My flight is at noon, I'll arrive this afternoon, but I can't go home right away. I have to go to work first."

"Oh!" Bai Sisi replied absentmindedly, seemingly somewhat dissatisfied.

"Is something wrong?" Xue Jin was quick-witted; he knew there was more to it than met the eye.

"Nothing much, just Grandpa's birthday the day after tomorrow," Bai Sisi said casually—she was always willful, and although she loved them, she expressed it subtly.

"That's nothing!" Xue Jin straightened his back, standing up straight. "Thank you for reminding me. Missing it would be a serious offense." The person Xue Jin couldn't afford to offend most right now was his father-in-law.

"..." Bai Sisi remained silent.

Xue Jin sensed that she wasn't in a good mood today, so he took on the role of a husband and coaxed her, "Honey, have you missed me?"

"Tch, no!" The woman said she hadn't missed him, but her tone was tinged with amusement.

"Really no? I've missed you terribly. When I get back, I'll pamper you!" Xue Jin's tone was flirtatious, deliberately emphasizing the word "pamper."

"Go away, stop being so serious. I'm not talking to you anymore. Come home early tonight!" Bai Sisi laughed in a good mood, clearly pleased with his words.

"Okay! You strip naked and wait for me in bed." Xue Jin's words became even more explicit; he always had a way with women.

"Alright, I can't be bothered with you. Do you have anything else to say? If not, I'm hanging up." Bai Sisi said casually, but secretly she was delighted; everyone likes to be flattered. "

Okay, keep an eye on our son while he does his homework, don't let him slack off." Xue Jin turned the steering wheel and drove into the Gome parking lot.

"Okay, no problem. Is there anything else you need to tell me?"

"No, honey, go to sleep early. I miss you." Xue Jin's face was expressionless, just a faint twitch of his lips, saying these insincere words without batting an eye.

"I miss you too, honey. Let's talk when you get back. Bye!" Bai Sisi was in a bad mood today. The business license issue hadn't been resolved, and it seemed the additional items would have to wait.

When would that be? She felt like she was watching a large sum of money fly away, how could she not be angry? She'd been slept with by Lao Song, but the business was still stalled. She really wanted to kick him.

She'd called several times, but he always said he didn't have time to meet. She didn't know if he was intentionally making excuses or genuinely busy.

Feeling annoyed, Bai Sisi didn't want to stay in the shop anymore, so she went home early. Just then, she received a call from her husband. Needing comfort, Xue Jin said a few nice words at the right time, which really cheered her up.

After hanging up the phone, humming a little tune, she swayed her slender waist and staggered into the bathroom. Amidst the rushing water, Bai Sisi stroked her firm breasts, fantasizing about a man's caresses.

No matter how many men she had been with, Xue Jin was always the best. In her heart, she clearly distinguished between love and sex. She enjoyed the physical pleasure other men brought her, but family was always the most important.

Xue Jin entered the mall and went straight to the home appliance section. He

first bought a 29-inch large-screen TV, and then went to the water heater section. With the salesperson's enthusiastic introduction, he chose an instant water heater.

Just as he went to the counter to pay, he suddenly felt a weight on his shoulder, and a hand landed on him. Turning around, he was somewhat surprised.

"Xue Jin, it really is you! I thought I was seeing things!" The man smiled.

"Oh, isn't this Lao Song? Long time no see." Xue Jin turned around, extended his hand, and shook hands lightly with the other man.

"Yes, it's been a while. What did you come to buy? Are you alone? Where's Sisi?" Old Song smiled, looking around as if searching for someone.

"Sisi is at home taking care of the kids. I came by myself and bought a few small things." Xue Jin smiled, almost neurotically.

In his heart, he coldly cursed: "You two are such a scoundrel!

" "Is that so?" Old Song sighed. "You're really lucky to have such a beautiful wife. So many people envy you. Why don't you bring her out for a meal sometime?"

"You're too kind. We'll treat you next time!" His relationship with Old Song was just average, but it was also unusual, given his ambiguous relationship with his wife.

The two exchanged a few more pleasantries and then went about their business. Old Song didn't take the meeting to heart, but Xue Jin was different.

He was worried that Old Song would mention today's events to Bai Sisi, and how would he explain himself then?

When Xue Jin carried the color TV into the room, Lian Yu was quite surprised.

"Uncle, did you just buy this?" The cardboard box was still unopened, clearly brand new. Lian Yu followed him into the bedroom, staring blankly as he placed the TV on the floor.

"Yeah, and a water heater too. It'll be delivered tomorrow." Xue Jin breathed a sigh of relief, took out his key from his pocket, and easily opened the packaging by making a sharp cut on it.

The mall movers had all gone home for the night, so the delivery wouldn't be until tomorrow. Xue Jin figured the TV wasn't too heavy, and he had a car, so he'd take it home today, and they could watch TV tonight.

"Why did you buy all this?" Lian Yu asked curiously.

"The TV is for watching, and the water heater is for showering." Xue Jin placed the TV on the TV stand, then plugged it in and turned on the remote.

"You...you didn't buy this just for me, did you?" Lian Yu whispered, feeling uneasy.

"No." Xue Jin looked away from the TV screen and turned to her. "After this house is finished, I'll buy some more appliances so it'll be easier to rent out later."

The little girl breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this.

"Hmm, renting it out can make money."

Hearing her say that, Xue Jin smiled, thinking: Make money? How much money? Not even enough for a meal I can treat someone to! This was bought entirely for us.

Xue Jin treated this place like his own little golden house, and the little girl was his little sparrow. He wanted to take care of her and not let her live too shabbily; he had to provide her with everything she needed.

"What do you want to watch? Choose for yourself!" Xue Jin said, handing her the remote control. Seeing the little girl shake her head hesitantly, he quickly shoved the remote into her hand.

"There aren't many channels. Tomorrow I'll pay the cable TV fee, and then you can watch more than 50 channels." Xue Jin turned and hung up his trench coat.

"Really? So many!" Even at Lian Yu's old home, the TV could only receive a few channels.

"Xiao Yu, Uncle has to go home tomorrow. Are you sure you'll dare to stay here alone then?" Xue Jin walked to the sofa and sat down.

"..." Lian Yu looked out the window—the protective iron bars were very sturdy; unless someone had a cutting tool to saw them through, it would be difficult to enter the room.

The door lock was also very secure, with three locks in total.

"It should be fine."

"That's good, Uncle was worried about you." Xue Jin said gently, looking directly at her figure. Her small body stood in front of the television, looking delicate and heart-wrenching.

"I, I'm fine now." Lian Yu's voice was very soft, almost weak.

"It's alright. Come on, sit on the bed and watch. Don't stand, it's tiring." Xue Jin reminded her, knowing her injury hadn't healed and standing for too long would be uncomfortable.

Hearing this, Lian Yu turned and sat at the foot of the bed.

The room quieted down, with only the sound of the television audible. Although Lian Yu's eyes were fixed on the screen, she wasn't completely engrossed, because there was another person in the room.

----------------------------------------------------

When Xue Jin carried the television into the room, Lian Yu was quite surprised.

"Uncle, did you just buy this?" The cardboard box was still unopened, clearly brand new. Lian Yu followed him into the bedroom, staring blankly as he placed the television on the floor.

"Yes, and the water heater too, it can be delivered tomorrow." Xue Jin breathed a sigh of relief, took out his key from his pocket, slashed the outer packaging, and easily opened it.

The mall movers had all gone home for the night, so the delivery wouldn't be until tomorrow. Xue Jin thought the television wasn't too heavy, and he had a car, so he'd take it home today and watch TV tonight.

"Why did you buy all this?" Lian Yu asked curiously.

"The TV is for watching TV, and the water heater is for showering." Xue Jin placed the TV on the TV stand, then plugged it in and turned on the remote.

"You...you didn't buy this specifically for me, did you?" Lian Yu whispered, feeling uneasy.

"No." Xue Jin looked up from the TV screen and turned to her: "After this house is renovated, we'll buy some more appliances so it'll be easier to rent out later."

The little girl breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this.

"Yeah, renting it out will make money."

Hearing her say this, Xue Jin smiled, thinking: Make money? How much money? Not even enough for a meal I can treat someone to! This is all for us.

Xue Jin treated this place like his own little golden house, and the little girl was his little sparrow. He wanted to take care of her and couldn't let her live too shabbily; he had to provide everything she needed.

"Choose whatever you want to watch!" Xue Jin said, handing her the remote. Seeing the little girl shake her head hesitantly, he quickly shoved the remote into her hand.

"There aren't many channels. I'll pay the cable TV fee tomorrow, and then you can watch more than 50 channels." Xue Jin turned and hung up his trench coat.

"Really? So many!" Lian Yu's old home TV could only receive a few channels.

"Xiao Yu, Uncle has to go home tomorrow. Are you sure you'll be safe here by yourself?" Xue Jin walked to the sofa and sat down.

"..." Lian Yu looked out the window—the protective iron bars were very sturdy; unless someone used cutting tools to saw them through, it would be difficult to get inside.

The door lock was also very secure, with three locks.

"It should be fine." "

That's good. Uncle was worried about you." Xue Jin said gently, looking directly at her figure. Her small body stood in front of the TV, delicate and heart-wrenching.

"I... I'm fine now." Lian Yu's voice was very soft, almost weak.

"It's good that you're alright. Come on, sit on the bed and watch. Don't stand, it's tiring," Xue Jin reminded her. Her injury wasn't healed yet, and standing for too long would definitely be uncomfortable.

Hearing him say that, Lian Yu turned around and sat at the foot of the bed.

The room quieted down, with only the sound of the television audible. Although Lian Yu's eyes were fixed on the screen, she wasn't completely engrossed, because there was another person in the room.

Xue Jin just sat there, watching Lian Yu watch TV, while he watched Lian Yu. At 9:15, Xue Jin got up and went to the kitchen to boil water.

After washing up, Lian Yu turned off the TV. Xue Jin casually asked, "Aren't you going to watch anymore?"

Lian Yu shook her head: "No." Then, she pulled back the covers and crawled under the covers. Her mind was in turmoil—there was only one double bed, and no one else could sleep anywhere else.

If she slept on the bed, where would her uncle sleep? Then a chilling thought appeared in her mind, and she couldn't help but shudder!

Xue Jin sat on the sofa, rubbing his feet, glancing sideways at the little girl on the bed—her porcelain-white face, translucent and delicate, with two faint shadows beneath her long eyelashes, and her pink lips slightly pursed, tempting one to taste her fragrance.

He really wanted to rush over…

Calming himself, Xue Jin got up, poured out the foot bath water, and then turned back to the bedroom. He went to the bedside and said softly, “Xiaoyu, are you asleep?”

The little girl’s long eyelashes fluttered restlessly, then she opened her eyes, her gray-blue eyes clear and captivating.

“Uncle?”

Xue Jin wanted to say, “Let Uncle hold you while you sleep,” but he couldn’t.

“You should sleep inside; you might fall off if you’re on the side.” Hearing him say this, the little girl leaned closer, almost pressing her body against the wall.

Xue Jin didn’t say anything, then turned off the light, returned to the bedside by the moonlight, lifted a corner of the blanket, and gently draped it over her stomach.

Lian Yu felt the blanket move slightly, her body stiffening as she leaned against the wall, wishing she could escape. She covered her mouth with her hand, afraid she would scream.

There was a large gap between them, almost like the Pacific Ocean, but they were

, after all, on the same bed. Xue Jin, his head resting on his arm, could almost hear his own heartbeat. His lower body was hard and a little sore, but he couldn't reach out to soothe it. He sensed Lian Yu's fear, but ignored it. One day, they would sleep together, and besides, he didn't want to wrong himself.

Time slowly passed, and Lian Yu gradually relaxed from her initial tension and stiffness—there was no sound from the other side, not even a slight movement, which made her feel somewhat better.

Unconsciously, Lian Yu's consciousness began to blur.

And as she drifted into a sweet dream, a hand silently reached out…

Chapter Twenty-Seven:

Xue Jin lay flat on the bed, his fingertips touching the little girl's back.

Lian Yu was sleeping on her side facing the wall, so Xue Jin could only reach her back. The rough fabric felt bland to the touch, and the distance restricted his movements.

Xue Jin withdrew his hand, gently moved further in, and then, in the clear moonlight, slowly pulled the girl's large t-shirt up from her thighs, covering her buttocks, continuing upwards. Sometimes the fabric would press against the bed and prevent him from pulling it further, so Xue Jin would slightly prop her body up and continue, until he reached her collarbone below her shoulder.

The little girl's small, round buttocks were completely covered by pink panties, and she wore a half-bra. Xue Jin swallowed, then felt the smooth, delicate skin of her skin, moving from her waist to her chest.

Slipping through the thin fabric, Xue Jin eagerly caressed the little girl's breasts.

They were soft there. Xue Jin used his thumb and forefinger to pinch and rub the hard clitoris up and down, initially very carefully. Seeing that her breathing was steady and she didn't react much, he pinched her nipples.

Stimulated, the little thing gradually hardened. Xue Jin knew it was pink, tiny, almost too small to fit in his mouth, which only fueled his growing thirst.

He propped himself up, pushing up the little girl's bra.

A black head peered down, its long tongue pressing against the nipple, gently rubbing it, then lightly pulling it upwards with its teeth. The tiny bud was repeatedly teased and played with at Xue Jin's lips, growing larger in no time.

Xue Jin felt both stimulated and forbidden. The little girl was so small, almost old enough to be his daughter, yet what was he doing? Sucking her nipple.

Thinking about it, he seemed to become even more frenzied, sucking hard on the delicious food in his mouth. His other hand reached for the little girl's lower body. Her vulva felt very soft and warm, with something sticky about it, like ointment. This somewhat affected the sensation there, and reminded the man that it was still injured, and he absolutely couldn't penetrate her. So he could only touch around her vulva.

Even if it were intact, today wasn't the right time to take her.

Xue Jin wanted to possess her, but it seemed difficult to get the little thing to willingly accept him now. He had to take it slow. She was already on his turf; what was there to fear about her running away?

The man's caresses made the girl subconsciously aware of something. In her sleep, she couldn't distinguish between dream and reality; in any case, she felt like she was being violated.

The hand groping up and down terrified her. She wanted to scream but couldn't make a sound.

In desperation, she struggled and finally woke up from the nightmare. She opened her eyes abruptly and saw a figure sitting up beside her.

"Ah...ah..."

A piercing scream made Xue Jin frown. "Xiaoyu, it's me, don't be afraid! Quiet! It's Uncle."

After the little girl stopped screaming, he asked with concern, "What's wrong? Did you have a nightmare? You kept screaming."

"..." Lian Yu trembled all over, rolled over and sat up, curling her small body in the corner.

Although he couldn't see her expression, Xue Jin knew she was definitely scared. "Xiaoyu, don't be afraid, Uncle will get you a glass of water." Saying that, Xue Jin got up, turned on the light, and then brought in a glass of water from the kitchen.

"Drink!"

"..." Lian Yu hesitated for a moment, took the glass of water, tilted her head slightly, and drank most of the water in one gulp.

"Don't rush, drink slowly!" Xue Jin was a little afraid that she would choke if she drank too fast.

"..." Lian Yu gasped for breath, looking fearfully out the dark window, trembling. "Uncle, I... I just dreamt... someone came in."

Xue Jin raised an eyebrow. "That was just a dream. With Uncle here, you're safe."

"..." Lian Yu's watery eyes shimmered, and perhaps in the blink of an eye, those glistening tears would silently slip down.

"Don't think too much. Lie down quickly, what if you get cold?" Xue Jin reached out and pulled over the blankets piled to the side, waiting for the girl to obediently comply.

"..." Lian Yu slowly lay down, her eyes fixed on Xue Jin, as if afraid he would disappear at any moment.

Xue Jin gave her a reassuring smile, then covered her with the blanket and carefully tucked it in. "Xiaoyu, you just had a nightmare. It's safe here. No one can come in. Uncle will stay by your side, so just sleep peacefully."

He then turned off the light, returned to the bed, and moved closer to her.

"If you're really scared, you can come closer to Uncle!" As soon as the words left his mouth, Xue Jin regretted it; he had almost blurted out his true feelings.

The little girl was sensitive and shy; would saying this offend her?

The room was quiet. After a long silence, a slight vibration finally came through the air: "No, I'm fine!"

The next morning, the water heater installer came to the door. Because the bathroom was small, it took some effort to install the appliance.

After they left, Xue Jin tidied up the bathroom and then heated up the food.

"Xiaoyu, Uncle has an urgent matter at work this afternoon, so I won't be able to have lunch with you. There's everything in the kitchen tonight, so make yourself something and don't go hungry!" Xue Jin carefully instructed her as he was leaving.

Lian Yu nodded, watching him turn to leave, then seemed to remember something and turned back.

"Be careful at home tonight. If anything happens, you can call Uncle, okay?" Xue Jin had two cell phones, one public and one private.

The public one was used for normal social interactions—a number known to work colleagues, relatives, friends, and family. The other phone had a special purpose.

Only his lovers knew about this phone. Usually, it was switched off when he called, so most of the time, women would only send him text messages.

They would say sweet nothings, express their longing, or ask to meet. As for what would happen after they met, it was self-evident.

Lian Yu was his 'little lover,' and in principle, he should be more considerate, but Xue Jin thought the girl was still young, and even if something happened, it wouldn't cause any major trouble.

To express his affection—the little girl was different from other lovers—Xue Jin allowed her to call his usual cell phone.

"Okay!" Seeing her agree, Xue Jin left in a cheerful mood.

Chapter Twenty-Seven: A Perfunctory Approach

Xue Jin received a call that morning; his superior wanted to see him and asked him to prepare a detailed recent work report—this was a big deal!

Normally there were no rumors, but this summons right after the selection of outstanding young cadres meant it was most likely for a promotion.

Xue Jin had just returned to his office and sat down when he heard a knock on the door.

"Come in!" Xue Jin sat up straight and saw a girl walk in, holding a folder. She was pretty, with fair skin, and looked to be around 22 or 23 years old.

Xue Jin immediately realized this was his new clerk. He narrowed his eyes slightly, discreetly observing the young woman before him—she wore a well-fitting light pink suit, the fabric was fine, and it looked high-end; she must have bought it specifically for work.

"Director, this is the article you asked me to revise last time. It's finished, and I've brought it to you. If there's anything wrong, I can revise it again!" Before Xue Jin could finish reviewing it, he heard the girl's clear and melodious voice.

"Put it on the table!" Xue Jin saw a pair of soft, smooth, slender white hands wave in front of him and then withdraw.

"What's your name?"

"Yan Tingting!" Colleagues all said that the director was very strict, and today it seemed that was indeed the case. His face was indifferent and expressionless, looking somewhat cold.

"..." Xue Jin didn't say anything and reached out to pick up the manuscript on the table.

The girl glanced at the man, feeling slightly uneasy.

"Well revised, keep up the good work!" After reviewing it, Xue Jin gave a fair comment, and then said, "Xiao Yan, I have something else for you to do!"

He then told her about the report, with the following specific requirements: concise and practical, well-organized, highlighting achievements, and able to grasp the essence of the problem.

Yan Tingting's heart pounded after hearing this. She was nervous but also relieved. After all, it was an honor for her, a newly appointed woman, to be entrusted with such an important task.

"Okay, I understand," the girl nodded as she listened.

Having finished discussing business, Xue Jin had some free time to admire the beauty before him.

Seeing that he hadn't spoken for a while, the girl slightly raised her head, their eyes meeting. She quickly and flusteredly lowered her head, her heart fluttering and her face flushing.

Xue Jin was mature and handsome. Although he rarely smiled, his aura as a superior was captivating. His gaze made Yan Tingting's heart flutter. She thought: Does the director like me?

Then other thoughts crossed her mind: He's married. So what if he likes me? A sense of unease crept in.

Many affairs begin with wishful thinking. So many people, knowing it's impossible, are willing to be like moths to a flame, one after another, stepping into the whirlpool of intoxicating emotions.

Xue Jin raised an eyebrow, knowing the girl had feelings for him. He smiled casually, a slight smirk playing on his lips. "Xiao Yan, this needs to be handled quickly!"

"Yes, Chief!" The girl's eyes remained half-closed, like a schoolchild caught doing something wrong. "If there's nothing else, I'll go back to work."

Xue Jin nodded, then watched her turn and leave. He couldn't help but smirk. He was principled; he wasn't interested in just any woman, in fact, he was quite picky.

This girl was nice, but he didn't want to mess with someone so close. If something happened, he wouldn't be able to handle it, especially since he already had someone better.

Thinking of this, the man drifted off into a daze…

Before leaving work, Xue Jin called Bai Sisi and arranged to have dinner together.

Around 5 pm, during rush hour, Xue Jin's car hadn't gone far on the main road when it got stuck in traffic. Bored, he sat in the car, occasionally glancing at the long line of cars ahead.

A few more minutes passed before the car barely moved a few steps, which made him both irritable and somewhat helpless. He absentmindedly lit a cigarette between his fingers.

Suddenly, his phone rang in his pocket. He took it out and saw it was his wife calling.

"Hello!"

"Where are you? Why aren't you here yet!" Bai Sisi said unhappily. She had been busy all day and was starving, but her man was nowhere to be seen.

"I might have to wait a while. There's a traffic jam on the road. Unless the car grows wings, it won't get through anytime soon." Xue Jin said, turning off the car engine, leaning back in his seat, and focusing on the phone call.

"Why didn't you come out earlier? I'm starving!" Bai Sisi pouted, rubbing her stomach. "We haven't had a date in ages. You finally remembered, and now you've made me wait. It's ruining my good mood!"

"Don't we always eat together at home? We're an old married couple. Why are you complaining about such a small thing?" Xue Jin smiled faintly, unconcerned.

"..." Bai Sisi rolled her eyes: "You're not romantic at all. I really don't know where all that passion went. People say the seven-year itch, and we've been together for ten years. Are you having some kind of flirtatious thoughts?"

It was meant as a joke, but it took a lot of weight from Xue Jin's ears.

He sat up straight immediately: "Wife, what nonsense are you talking about? Don't you know what kind of person I am? I rarely go out except for work and home."

"Haha...haha...I was just teasing you, look how anxious you are!" Bai Sisi laughed non-stop.

Xue Jin breathed a sigh of relief and laughed along: "Teasing me? You'd better not tease me like that, or I'll be sad. A husband as good as me is hard to find even with a lantern."

"You're just being cheeky!" Bai Sisi muttered softly, then asked: "Still blocking your eyes?"

"Hmm!" Xue Jin exhaled a puff of smoke from his nostrils and gave a muffled reply.

"Hurry up, we still need to go to the mall to pick out a gift for Grandpa after dinner!" Bai Sisi grumbled.

"Hehe, okay, I know, but Sisi, could you change your way of addressing him? What 'Grandpa,' you should call him Dad!" Xue Jin corrected her somewhat ingratiatingly.

"Grandpa and Dad are the same! They're both the same person!" Bai Sisi said nonchalantly.

"Okay, okay, I won't argue with you anymore, I'll hang up now, the car's about to move." Xue Jin saw the line of cars seem to be swaying and quickly flicked away his cigarette butt.

"Hang up, bye!"

Xue Jin reeled in the phone, stepped on the gas, and started to follow the convoy, driving smoothly all the way.

It had been half an hour since Xue Jin arrived at Bai Sisi's shop. When he pushed open the door, a saleswoman by the door immediately lit up.

But Xue Jin didn't look at her; instead, he headed straight for Bai Sisi.

"Sorry to keep you waiting, honey. You can go now." Bai Sisi glared at him playfully, then tied her scarf, picked up her LV handbag, and stood up.

Xue Jin stood by, smiling obsequiously, looking every bit the good husband. But he had only taken a few steps when he heard a sweet voice calling out, "Isn't this Brother Xue? Long time no see!"

A very pretty girl walked past him.

Xue Jin looked at her without batting an eye, a smile playing on his lips. "Little Lan, here she is, isn't she?"

Xue Jin had unintentionally hooked up with this girl. He hadn't intended to, but the girl was persistent, and before he knew it, he'd succumbed.

But after just one time, Xue Jin regretted it. He knew this could be a big deal or a small one. While he was enjoying himself, things were fine, but if things came to light, he'd be in trouble.

So after that, the girl repeatedly asked him out, and he always made excuses to avoid her.

Finally, she wisely stopped bothering him, but upon seeing him, she remained enthusiastic, clearly still harboring feelings for Xue Jin.

"Are you going to eat?" Xiao Lan casually asked again.

"Yeah, eating. Why don't we all come together and have some fun!" Xue Jin said, glancing at the surrounding shop assistants.

Everyone shook their heads; without the proprietress's permission, who dared to join in? After they left, Bai Sisi's face darkened.

"You're really generous, treating them to dinner?" she said, slamming the car door shut and tilting her head.

"I was just saying!" Xue Jin smiled and shook his head, starting the car, thinking to himself, women are so stingy.

Xue Jin chose a clean and stylish Western restaurant, ordering two set meals. The two chatted as they went, Xue Jin telling her about his recent good fortune, while Bai Sisi complained about the business license.

During the conversation, Old Song was mentioned. Xue Jin listened calmly, and finally remarked, "He grew up in the same compound, but his character is terrible, he's a real scoundrel!"

Hearing this, Bai Sisi fell silent, lowering her head to slowly swallow the food in her mouth.

After dinner, they went to a gold shop, carefully selecting gold jewelry with the help of the sales clerk—gold prices had soared this year, making it a very elegant gift.

Since the elderly person was born in the Year of the Tiger, they ultimately chose a 20k pure gold piece in that zodiac animal as a birthday gift, exactly 20k, which would be about 50,000 RMB.

Watching the sales clerk wrap the gift, Bai Sisi said sourly, "When will you buy me a decent gift? I'll be content for the rest of my life."

Xue Jin smiled faintly and said sweetly, "Wife, what do you like? I'll buy it for you today, okay?"

Hearing him say this, Bai Sisi's mood immediately brightened, and she unceremoniously picked out a large diamond ring, slipped it onto her middle finger, and praised, "This is nice, what do you think, husband?"

Xue Jin glanced at the price, and although he was dissatisfied, he still wore a generous smile on his face: "If you like it, that's good. I'll go swipe the card!"

Chapter Twenty-Eight: An Opportunity After

Xue Jin left, Lian Yu lay in bed watching TV.

Back in their rural hometown, they had an old TV—it was given to them by their neighbor after they got a new large color TV.

But, being able to watch TV was enough for Lian Yu. Every day after school, he would quickly finish his homework and then sit in front of the TV waiting for the cartoons to start.

Grandma cooked in the outer kitchen and never let her help. Occasionally, when she was too busy, Lianyu would go and add some firewood. When it was time to eat, it was often cartoon time. Lianyu would watch and forget to eat, her eyes fixed on the TV, until Grandma reminded her and she came back to her senses.

Now, alone in her room, she lay comfortably on her bed, casually choosing programs that interested her, feeling quite content.

From noon until evening, Lian Yu barely left her bed. It wasn't until the cartoon ended that she realized she was hungry. She glanced out the window; it was already dark.

She rubbed her flat stomach and got out of bed to get something to eat.

In the kitchen, Lian Yu picked and chose among the pile of ingredients, touching this and that, unsure what to make—mainly because her cooking skills were limited, and she didn't want to experiment with food. What if what she made was terrible?

After all, Uncle Xue had paid for it; it wouldn't be good to waste food.

A rumbling stomach gave way, and without further thought, Lian Yu decided to quickly finish her dinner.

So she took out a bundle of noodles and placed it on the stove, then selected a small bunch of vibrant green spinach and an egg to go with it.

She turned on the gas, filled the tap with water, poured it into the pot, added the leftover half-bowl of vegetables from breakfast, and then put the lid on. Lian Yu then ran back inside to continue watching TV.

Lost in thought, she watched until her stomach growled again, suddenly remembering the water boiling in the kitchen. She rushed there, but as soon as she took a step, a sharp pain shot through her lower body, making her heart tremble.

Lian Yu's injury wasn't too painful unless she moved too much, but even slight exertion was unbearable. So, the little girl carefully supported herself against the wall, took a few steps, and when she felt less pain, she let go of the support and slowly walked towards the kitchen.

The small space was filled with a thin layer of steam, and there was a faint smell of burning. Lian Yu lifted the lid and was stunned. Most of the pot of water had boiled down to just a small puddle at the bottom.

She unconsciously stuck out her tongue, thinking: "What's the point of cooking noodles? It's not even enough for me to have a few sips of water. Luckily, the pot didn't burn out, otherwise how would I explain to my uncle!"

Lian Yu added some more water, this time not daring to be careless. She checked on the water every one or two minutes, and as soon as the water started to foam, she immediately put in the vegetables and eggs, and finally the noodles.

Soon, the food in the pot was ready, and Lian Yu filled one or two bowls!

Smiling, she lowered her head to smell it; the aroma was wonderful. Lian Yu didn't know what kind of noodles Xue Jin had bought, but they looked very fine and tasted delicious. They

were completely different from the ones she bought at the market.

Sitting on the edge of the bed, Lian Yu held her bowl and ate a few bites here and there…

Time passed quickly. When the clock appeared on the TV screen, Lian Yu couldn't help but rub her eyes and look closely—it was exactly 11 PM.

Looking outside, it was pitch black. The only sound from the television inside was eerily quiet. Lian Yu pulled the blanket aside, shook it, smoothed it out, and crawled inside.

Time to sleep! Lian Yu wanted to wash her face in the bathroom, but the thought of the pitch-black outer room filled her with fear. She thought of Xue Jin; if only her uncle were here!

Suddenly, Lian Yu remembered what the man had said before he left—to lock the door.

The little girl scrambled to her feet, slipped on her shoes, went to the door, pressed the light switch for the outer room, and then quickly fiddled with the door a few times.

Then, she hurriedly went back to the bedroom, jumped onto the bed, pulled back the covers, and snuggled back inside.

Lian Yu hugged herself tightly, curling up like a shrimp in the pitch-black blankets, her ears pounding with the rapid beating of her heart—she had been terrified when she arrived at the door.

As the saying goes, fear can be deadly, and often it's just self-inflicted fear. After being assaulted that night, the little girl had become very sensitive to the dark.

Thinking about this apartment, all alone, she wondered when a bad guy lurking in the shadows might pounce on her…

It took a while for Lian Yu to calm down. She slowly peeked her head out from under the covers; the light outside made her feel much more at ease.

She let out a long breath, stretched her head out, lay on her side, and started watching TV again without blinking. After some time, her vision began to blur.

Since arriving in City A, Lian Yu hadn't watched TV, and now her eyes, overworked, were protesting.

The little girl rubbed her eyes, yawned, and although she was sleepy, she didn't want to sleep. She glanced at the incandescent light bulb above her.

Bright and dazzling, it was an expensive appliance.

Lian Yu was afraid of the dark but didn't want to waste electricity. After a series of internal struggles, she got out of bed and turned off the lights—the outer room and the bedroom.

Almost instantly, a cool breeze swept up the little girl's back.

Lian Yu's mind went blank. She rushed to the bed and hid under the covers again, not daring to come out that night.

The next day was a bright morning, the air filled with the heat of summer.

Lian Yu was woken up by the suffocating heat. Before she was fully conscious, she kicked off the covers, and the blinding sunlight made her frown.

Her brow twitched. The announcer's pleasant voice reached her ears. Lian Yu turned over, licked her lips, and felt incredibly relieved—it was finally daytime.

Bai Sisi had been smiling the whole way.

After entering the room, she tossed her bag onto the sofa, pushed open the door to her son's room, and found the little guy pretending to read. Upon seeing his mother's beaming smile, he unconsciously lowered one eyebrow.

"Look, look, this is the ring your dad bought me. Isn't it pretty?" Bai Sisi beamed, extending her slender right hand, her fingers slightly parted, naturally revealing the diamond ring on her middle finger.

"Pretty, very sparkly!" The little guy wasn't particularly interested in the ring, but still expressed his admiration—this had happened countless times at home.

At first, Bai Sisi would show off any nice things she got to Xue Jin, but the man would usually just glance at it indifferently before turning away to do his own thing.

After a few times, Bai Sisi was quite frustrated. Everyone loves beauty, and every wife would be happy to receive praise from her lover.

But Xue Jin seemed to lack common sense, stingy with even a kind word.

Coincidentally, her son couldn't stand it anymore and went over, staring wide-eyed with surprise: "Mom, your outfit is really nice. You'd look even better with a different hairstyle."

Bai Sisi was overjoyed and hugged her son, showering him with kisses. From then on, the little guy became her confidant.

Xue Jin opened the door and heard Bai Sisi talking excitedly.

The son visibly relaxed upon seeing his father, interrupting his mother, "Mom, Dad's going to check my homework. I'll listen to you later!"

Bai Sisi turned around, looked at Xue Jin, and said, "Okay, I'll go out now."

Xue Jin sat down at the desk with a serious expression, picked up his son's notebook, and began to flip through it. He wasn't in a good mood today—that diamond ring was quite expensive.

Thinking about his wife's infidelity, he felt the money he had spent was completely wasted!

After quickly glancing over the paper and finding no obvious mistakes, Xue Jin patted his son's head and said, "Not bad!" He then picked up

a workbook and found a relatively easy test paper: "Finish this, I'll grade it later!"

His son glanced at the electronic alarm clock on the table and muttered discontentedly, "Dad, it's already 10 o'clock, are you making me stay up all night?"

Xue Jin raised an eyebrow: "Don't stay up too long, you have 45 minutes to finish."

Without looking at his son's slumped face, he walked to his single bed, slumped down, took out a cigarette from his pocket, and lit it.

In the swirling smoke, Xue Jin's face was somewhat blurred, his eyes unfathomably dark, lost in thought.

Suddenly, the door opened, and Bai Sisi, wearing a bathrobe, peeked out from the crack: "Honey, I'm done washing up, hurry up, I'm waiting for you!"

Xue Jin gave a slight, dismissive nod.

The moment the door closed, the man narrowed his eyes slightly, exhaling a long smoke ring: making his son do the test was just an excuse, a way to delay going back to the bedroom.

He didn't want to touch Bai Sisi today. He used to be perfunctory, but today he had no desire.

In his heart, the rift between them was already so deep. Peace was fine when things were peaceful, but when it came to things he cared about, like money, Xue Jin thought of breaking free.

Who is he? Bai Sisi puts on an act in front of him, living a dissolute life outside

. Does she think he's a fool? Men care most about face and dignity. If she cheats on him, it's only a matter of time before he dumps her. His father-in-law's birthday is an opportunity—an opportunity to make a fortune.

The old man doesn't have much time left in office. The government operates on a blanket policy; once you reach a certain age, you can step down, or you can leave even if you don't want to. Once

you're gone, the respect fades. As the saying goes, power unused expires.

The old man was originally quite conservative, but after receiving a few favors, he's become more savvy. Tomorrow, along with the gold, Xue Jin plans to give the old man a large red envelope. He'll definitely

sign long-term cooperation agreements with the military and related units. Once everything is settled, what will he have to fear? He'll just wait for the money to roll in…

and then, he'll slowly settle accounts with Bai Sisi!

Thinking of the cunning glint in Xue Jin's eyes, like a predatory beast about to hunt, sending chills down one's spine, he nodded slightly, deciding to fight to the death.

Success would be a major turnaround; failure? No real loss, he could reconsider!

Chapter Twenty-Eight: Opportunity

When Xue Jin emerged from the bathroom, it was nearly midnight. He figured his wife hadn't made a sound and was probably asleep, so he tiptoed back to the bedroom.

The bedside lamp was on, and Bai Sisi lay on her side with her eyes closed, breathing evenly, seemingly asleep.

Xue Jin tiptoed into bed, checked his phone—no incoming calls, no new messages—and couldn't help but purse his lips.

He was conflicted; he wanted to hear the little girl's voice, yet he feared a call from her, which meant something had happened.

"Honey, why aren't you asleep yet?" Bai Sisi turned over, mumbling incoherently, then half-opened her eyes to look at him.

"I'll go to sleep right away!" Xue Jin casually turned off his phone and placed it on the bedside table.

"What were you looking at just now?" Bai Sisi asked, a little puzzled. Why was her man staring blankly at his phone in the middle of the night?

"Nothing! Just looking around." Xue Jin replied casually, then pulled the covers over himself and lay down. He wasn't worried that she would find out anything!

They didn't check each other's phones, perhaps out of trust, perhaps out of respect, but more likely out of a tacit understanding.

They had both developed this habit, which was perfectly fine for Bai Sisi. Her social life was complicated, and receiving occasionally suggestive or ambiguous text messages was quite normal. If discovered, it could potentially cause a family crisis.

As for Xue Jin, he had always behaved perfectly, so she felt at ease.

"Goodnight, wife!" Xue Jin reached out and turned off the bedside lamp. In the darkness, he heard Bai Sisi mumble the same thing as him as she turned over.

The next evening, Xue Jin drove his wife and child into the military compound. The gatekeeper, seeing that everyone in the car was a familiar face, made a quick note and let them through.

The commander lived in a small villa. There were about 20 or 30 villas in the compound, and the old man's house had the best location, in the center of the compound. Directly opposite the house was an artificial lake, shaded by weeping willows, filled with the sounds of insects and birds, and teeming with fish—a vibrant scene.

Whenever he had free time, the old man liked to take a small stool and sit quietly by the lake to fish, finding great joy in these moments.

Xue Jin had also enjoyed this rather relaxing pastime. And indeed, quietly experiencing the charm of nature, he felt a sense of transcendence, forgetting all his worries.

At this moment, twinkling lights twinkled in front of the villa by the lake. Special days are all about celebration and liveliness, so several colorful lights hung on the gate. Although not very bright, their red glow was a good omen.

Xue Jin immediately noticed several cars parked under the shade of trees not far away; they all looked very high-end, presumably there to celebrate his father-in-law's birthday.

As soon as he entered the living room, his mother-in-law came out to greet him. His son skipped over and hugged his grandmother, saying, "Grandma, I missed you!"

The old lady beamed and took the boy's hand, saying, "I missed you too. Hurry up and go to Grandpa's; there's something good to eat." Before she finished speaking, the boy leaped up and ran off.

Xue Jin and his wife exchanged a glance and shook their heads in unison.

"Mom, these are things I bought for Dad and you!" Xue Jin carried a large gift box, beautifully wrapped in a square shape—inside were gold jewelry and 200,000 yuan.

"Alright, go on over, dinner's about to start." The old lady smiled and took the chair, then pointed to the sofa in the living room—where several people were sitting.

Bai Sisi glanced over and, seeing they were all men, decided not to join the fun and went with her mother.

Xue Jin walked forward confidently, subtly scanning the room, his gaze lingering on one of the middle-aged men for a few minutes. He was slightly surprised: he hadn't expected Provincial Party Secretary Lin Hao to be here too!

"Dad, happy birthday! I wish you good health and all the best!" Xue Jin smiled and bowed to his father-in-law.

"Good, good, come on... let me introduce you all, this is my son-in-law, Xue Jin!" Bai Qi was happy today; it was a great honor that his old friend had come.

After the introductions, there was a brief exchange of pleasantries. Lin Hao, seeing Xue Jin's handsome appearance, gentle manners, and composed demeanor, felt an immediate liking for him. Turning to the old man, he said, "Your son-in-law is a talented individual, an outstanding young cadre, worthy of cultivation!"

Upon hearing this, Bai Qi immediately perked up and humbly replied, "I'm still young and need more experience. I hope the leadership will give me more opportunities in the future."

"Of course, hehe..." Lin Hao nodded repeatedly, his eyes filled with admiration as he looked at Xue Jin.

Xue Jin, listening to their conversation, was overjoyed: "Secretary Lin, you are so busy with your affairs, it's really too tiring. I will have to trouble you with your guidance in the future."

"Of course, of course!" Lin Hao laughed heartily.

Chapter Twenty-Nine: Uncle Has Money .

If a man finds a woman pleasing to the eye, everything is fine; if he doesn't, even the slightest mistake will be magnified infinitely. Take Xue Jin's relationship with Bai Sisi, for example.

It was just a diamond ring; how much could it cost? A few tens of thousands of yuan! For Xue Jin now, it was a trivial matter, so why would he have the thought of abandoning her? Ultimately, it was because he had lost feelings for this woman, casually labeling her as greedy and vain, and coldly despising her with sidelong glances...

However, the thought of divorce did not linger in his mind for long. This birthday banquet of his father-in-law was very fruitful, and he would probably rely on the old man more in the future. For the sake of long-term interests, Xue Jin secretly suppressed the stirring thoughts in his heart.

Life went on, and for now, things had to stay the same…

Because he was too busy, Xue Jin hadn't had time to visit Lian Yu, but he called the little girl every day. After three days, Xue Jin finally had some free time.

The midday sun was shining brightly. He pushed aside the documents on his desk, looked up, shook his stiff neck, took a deep breath, and stood up.

The report to his boss was finally finalized. After this 'big event,' he had time to think about the little girl again. That sweet, gentle girl, 'locked' in his house—just thinking about it made his blood boil; he wished he could grow wings and fly over immediately.

Xue Jin acted on his impulse, grabbed his coat, and strode towards the door.

Lian Yu had been recovering well these past few days; her lower body wasn't hurting as much, and she walked more lightly. However, her mood hadn't improved much; after all, final exams were approaching, and she was bound to be nervous to some extent.

She wanted to study, but found it difficult to concentrate for long periods. Her eyes would frequently wander to the television in her room, followed by a quick check of the time – was it time for cartoons? Were there any good TV programs available?

With her mind wandering, her study efficiency plummeted. Three days had passed, and she hadn't had time to review the material, nor had she even completed many practice tests.

A sense of frustration crept in. Although she knew she needed to work harder and eliminate distractions, the comfortable environment still stirred up many inexplicable thoughts within her.

At that moment, the little girl was doing her homework on her bed when she suddenly heard a knock at the door. She instinctively looked up at the living room, followed by another series of rapid knocks.

Who could it be? It had been so quiet these past few days; even the water and electricity bill collectors hadn't come!

Lian Yu jumped out of bed, slipped on her slippers, and tiptoed to the living room, staring blankly at the security door.

"Xiaoyu, it's Uncle, open the door quickly." Xue Jin knocked a few times, but there was no response from inside

. He couldn't help but feel a little impatient, but his voice remained calm. Just as he was about to knock again, the door creaked open from the inside.

"Uncle, it's you! I thought it was someone else. I'm sorry to have kept you waiting." Lian Yu stepped aside, making room for the tall man to enter.

"Being cautious is the right thing to do." Xue Jin smiled slightly, the corners of his mouth curving upwards. His eyes held a deep, unspoken meaning—the little girl seemed to have grown even more beautiful in the few days since he last saw her. Her fair face, under the bright sunlight, was flawless, her skin crystal clear. Just touching it would seem like it would release a drop of moisture.

Seeing him standing there motionless, Lian Yu couldn't help but glance at him, and was immediately startled by his undisguised enthusiasm.

"Uncle, I, I'll get you your slippers." The little girl tried to escape, but as soon as she turned around, her arm caught in hers. Lian Yu was terrified, and even his breathing became heavy.

Lian Yu was wearing a sleeveless dress that reached just to her knees, a gift from her landlady, Aunt Zhang. When Xue Jin pulled her up, his large, hot hand pressed against the little girl's arm, silently conveying a subtle intimacy.

Xue Jin didn't treat her like an outsider, but Lian Yu didn't see it that way. The burning heat made her scalp tingle, and she suppressed the urge to break free, simply standing there trembling.

"Oh, sorry!" Xue Jin suddenly realized his lapse and quickly withdrew his hand, then said nonchalantly, "I can do it myself."

He then strode over, bent down to pick up the slippers by the wall, slipped them on, and confidently walked into the bedroom.

Lian Yu stood there, frozen, her hands clasped together, her eyes fixed on her toes, almost wringing her hands out—she was indignant, and along with that, somewhat helpless.

Every time a man touched her, her heart would race. Deep down, she felt a deep aversion to physical contact. Was this only with Uncle Xue, or did she feel this way about all men?

Lian Yu was confused. She didn't know what was wrong with her; perhaps she really was sick.

Xue Jin casually took off his coat and placed it on the sofa. Then, he tilted his head and lay down on the bed. At midday, people are prone to drowsiness. The man found this bed very comfortable, much better than the one at home.

After a minute, Xue Jin felt something was amiss. Why hadn't the little girl come inside?

"Xiao Yu, what are you doing?" Xue Jin asked softly, listening carefully to the sounds outside. A moment later, there was a reply: "Uncle, I'm getting you a glass of water."

Hearing this, Xue Jin smiled slightly, his face expressionless. He then leaned against the headboard, his eyes darting around as he surveyed his surroundings.

The windows were spotless, the floor gleamed, and the household items were immaculate. He nodded in approval, secretly praising the little girl: "She's really diligent."

He then thought of his wife, who hardly did any housework. An hourly cleaner did the cleaning, and she rarely even stepped into the kitchen—he could count the number of times she entered the kitchen on his fingers.

Thinking this, Xue Jin felt a surge of affection for the little girl, and at the same time, a great deal of pride!

Lian Yu brought in water, her mind now calm. Seeing Xue Jin looking through her homework, she blushed slightly. Distracted, she kept making mistakes, revising her answers repeatedly.

"Uncle, have some water!" Lian Yu carefully handed her the cup.

"Thank you!" Xue Jin didn't even lift his eyelids. "Put it aside for now!"

After a moment, the man looked at her sternly and said, "Xiaoyu, you were too careless with this question. You made mistakes you shouldn't have, and two questions were left blank. Don't you have any ideas? You definitely won't get good grades on the final exam!"

Chapter Twenty-Nine: Uncle Has Money.

Xue Jin's son attends a key primary school with a good environment and strong teaching staff. Of course, the tuition is also high, but it's all worth it. His son is doing quite well in his studies now. He doesn't have any major problems, and he can correct minor mistakes by gently pointing them out.

But Lian Yu attends a private middle school with poor conditions in all aspects, so her grades naturally don't improve.

"...I, there are some things I don't know how to do!" Lian Yu was a little nervous after being scolded like this, but she felt more aggrieved. She had only transferred from the countryside not long ago, so it was normal for her to fall behind. Besides, she didn't think she was really that bad; she was just average.

Seeing her standing there blankly, her little face expressionless, Xue Jin wondered if he had gone too far. This child wasn't even his own; what was wrong with her grades? Why was he getting angry?

Calming himself, Xue Jin patted the spot beside him: "Xiao Yu, if you don't know how, take your time. Uncle will help you, okay?"

Xue Jin had always kept his tutoring in mind. He wanted to be honest with the little girl, and he had to start with small things; keeping his word was essential.

Hearing this, Lian Yu half-raised her eyes, glancing at him cautiously. Seeing his calm expression and warm gaze, she relaxed.

She nodded, took off her shoes, and got into bed.

At first, the little girl knew to keep her distance from men, but Xue Jin's voice was very magnetic, and the knowledge he shared was easy to absorb. Gradually, Lian Yu became engrossed.

Before she knew it, she was half-lying on the man's lap, her little mouth still chattering away.

Xue Jin lowered his head, pretending to be very serious, occasionally chiming in with a few words. However, most of the time, he was spying—the young girl was inexperienced and hadn't had much contact with men, unaware that some seemingly respectable people were actually engaged in lewd activities.

Lian Yu's skirt, originally a college student's size, was far too loose, and on her, it looked like a sack, revealing her entire cleavage from top to bottom!

Two slightly bulging mounds of flesh lay quietly inside the loosely fitted bra, their pink nipples, perhaps sensing the man's flirtatious gaze, actually standing erect.

Xue Jin's mouth went dry; the nipples rubbed against his clothes, growing harder, and his own erection stirred.

He simply couldn't resist. The little girl was right beside him, and how could he remain unmoved? So he reached out an arm and subtly pulled Lian Yu into his embrace.

Because of their cross-legged position, his erection found shelter, growing stronger under the cover of the books on his lap.

Unconsciously, Xue Jin tightened his hold on the girl until, after the tutoring session, her waist and abdomen were pressed tightly against his strong thighs, half her body enveloped in his embrace.

While tidying up the books, Lian Yu belatedly noticed the change, her face turning ashen. She struggled frantically, easily breaking free from the man's grasp.

"Are you alright, Xiaoyu?" Xue Jin spread his hands, looking somewhat embarrassed.

The little girl didn't even look at him, just panting heavily in the corner. Xue Jin couldn't help but find it amusing, but he concealed it well, his tone becoming even more sincere: "I'm sorry, Uncle, I didn't mean to."

Lian Yu remained silent for a while before glancing over. Seeing Xue Jin's natural and upright expression, and knowing he was a high-ranking official, she figured he wasn't the type to do anything dishonest.

"It's alright!" the little girl said softly, then grabbed her schoolbag and carefully packed her textbooks.

"It's getting late, Uncle should go home now!" Seeing that she seemed somewhat hesitant, Xue Jin got out of bed, grabbing his coat from the sofa as he spoke.

"Uncle, please stay for dinner!" The little girl felt the man was very open and honest, a true gentleman, and couldn't help but regret her earlier rudeness.

Xue Jin paused in his dressing, then remembered something!

"Do you still have any vegetables at home?" Xue Jin's last purchase of ingredients seemed to be insufficient; it would probably last three days without any leftovers.

Lian Yu thought for a moment, "There are still some greens; we can make porridge!"

Xue Jin frowned, seemingly displeased, "You didn't even call your uncle when you ran out of vegetables? If I hadn't come today, what would you have eaten tomorrow?"

The little girl thought seriously for a moment, then replied, "There are still noodles; that should last for a few meals!"

Xue Jin feigned disdain, then curled his lips, "How can we eat that? It'll have no flavor at all. Come on, let's go to the market; you can help me carry some things then."

After browsing the supermarket, Xue Jin took the girl to a large department store, where he selected some refreshing skincare products. Lian Yu was initially embarrassed to accept these purchases, but the man showed her the prices: a bottle of Dabao was only a little over 6 yuan, and Meijiajing shower gel was less than 10 yuan.

"It's cheap, it won't cost much!" After saying that, Xue Jin casually tossed the items into the shopping cart, not even glancing at the little girl beside him, and pushed the cart forward.

Lian Yu bit her lip helplessly and followed.

Xue Jin then practically became a shopping machine: notebooks, pens, hair ties, pajamas, underwear, bras, casual wear… basically anything he thought Lian Yu might need, he threw into the cart without a second thought.

The little girl watched in alarm, trying to stop him several times, but to no avail. In the end, she could only silently follow him, letting him do as he pleased. It

was completely dark when Xue Jin finally drove the girl home. They went up and down the stairs four or five times to move things. The man hadn't allowed the little girl to help, but she insisted, and Xue Jin couldn't do anything about it. Finally,

they finished moving everything, and half of the small living room was covered in stuff.

Xue Jin not only bought things for Lian Yu, but also a lot of daily necessities, such as a rosewood teapot and teacups, a brand-new ashtray, curtains, tablecloths...

In short, he bought almost everything small and essential for daily life.

Then, Xue Jin and Lian Yu divided the work: the little girl did the easy tasks, while Xue Jin did the strenuous climbing. Two hours later, the whole house was transformed.

Pale pink curtains, two cartoon-shaped cups, a clean white tablecloth, and a pale yellow rug on the floor beside the bed... everything exuded warmth.

Xue Jin was in a great mood, secretly sighing, "This is what home feels like!"

Then, smiling, he turned around, half-closing his eyes and saying ingratiatingly, "You have nowhere to put your clothes. I'll buy you a wardrobe tomorrow; it'll be perfect over there."

As he spoke, the man pointed to a corner of the wall.

Lian Yu shook her head so hard it felt like it would break, waving her hands repeatedly, "Uncle, no need, you've already spent so much money and bought me so many things, please, don't spend any more money on me."

What was the price of a wardrobe? She knew a little about it; in her rural hometown, who wouldn't buy a wardrobe when getting married? It could cost thousands of RMB, just thinking about it made the little girl's scalp tingle.

"Money is not a problem, Uncle has money..." Xue Jin's eyes shone brightly, staring intently at the little girl. June 4th, Chapter 30: Drunkenness

. It was a weekend, the morning sun was warm and gentle, shining on her face and body with immense comfort.

Bai Sisi got up late, quickly washed up, and hurriedly went to work with a piece of bread in her mouth—every weekend, beauty salons were very busy, usually from morning until around 10 PM.

Xue Jin finished the last mouthful of porridge, wiped his mouth with a napkin, and looked up at his son. "Dad, I'm busy today. You'll have to take care of lunch and dinner yourself, okay?"

The little guy, chewing on half a sausage, nodded expressionlessly. "Okay, Dad, don't worry, I won't go hungry. I'm used to it. You and Mom are both busy!"

Xue Jin heard the complaint in his son's voice and couldn't help but reach out and pat his head, saying warmly, "Sweetie, adults have a lot to do. You have to understand. Tomorrow! Dad will take you tomorrow, okay? We'll go to the zoo to see the tigers and lions?"

Hearing this, the little guy reacted slightly, raising his eyebrows gently in agreement.

Xue Jin sat in his chair, watching him eat, and couldn't help but be a little lost in thought. His son looked more like him, with a clear face at such a young age; he would definitely be a handsome young man.

A father's pride is his son's pride, and Xue Jin felt a surge of pride.

"I'm full!" The little guy gently pushed his bowl away, then lazily leaned back in his chair, rubbing his slightly round belly with a satisfied expression.

Xue Jin chuckled and shook his head—the little guy was at the age where he was growing and had a good appetite.

"Go study after you're full. The exams are coming up soon, so you can't slack off. If you can get into the top three, how about Dad takes you on a trip?"

The little guy immediately looked confident and leaned forward energetically: "Dad, the top three should be ranked, right? The difference between first, second, and third place is small, but the significance is very different!"

Xue Jin smiled slightly, looking at his son with interest.

Ten minutes later, the two finally reached an agreement: if the little guy got first place, Xue Jin would take him to Hong Kong; if he got second place, they would go to Hainan; and as for third place… well, they would go to a rural farm stay to experience rural life.

Watching his son cheer and dash into his room to study, Xue Jin smiled happily as he cleared the dishes—his son knew how to bargain with him now; the little guy had made progress.

Regardless of Xue Jin's status in his wife's eyes, in his son's mind, his father was the absolute authority; his son rarely disobeyed him and almost always obeyed his orders.

This made the father-son relationship more serious and harsh, less warm. Xue Jin didn't want it to be this way, but his little guy had always lived under his 'cold gaze' since childhood, and it was difficult to change the situation in a short time.

Xue Jin couldn't help but think that he was still too young. As a first-time father, many of his actions were immature. If he had children in the future, he would definitely have to use a combination of gentle persuasion and firmness.

Xue Jin parked his car in front of the Fuyu Fitness Center, slammed the car door shut, turned around and opened the side door of the Jeep, taking out a sports bag with the eye-catching 'adidas' logo printed on it.

Just as he was about to go inside, he suddenly heard a familiar greeting from behind. He turned around and saw that it was Ding Bu.

Ding Bu leaned out of the car window, saw Xue Jin stop, quickly parked his bright red BMW in the parking space, and then jumped out of the car.

"Hey, nice new bag, you know how to use brand names now!" Ding Bu teased Xue Jin as he took things out of the car.

"It's alright, I'll get a BMW in a few years!" Every man likes cars, especially high-end ones. Driving them is comfortable and stylish, giving you a feeling of being rich.

Ding Bu had only owned this bright red BMW for a few months, but Xue Jin had already borrowed it several times. Even if he couldn't buy it, it would be nice to experience it.

"Tch..." Ding Bu tossed his backpack over his shoulder, dismissively saying, "You think you'd spend that money? Unless you quit your job, I don't believe you have the guts to get yourself a BMW!"

Xue Jin chuckled, "Hehe, I can't buy it, driving yours is fine too. You're not that stingy, I know!" He patted Ding Bu's shoulder like a friend.

Ding Bu wasn't short, at least among southerners, he was considered tall, but still slightly shorter than Xue Jin. He was a little overweight, with a gold chain around his neck, giving him a nouveau riche air.

He rolled his eyes helplessly and gritted his teeth, saying, "Are you trying to borrow my car again?"

His car was his prized possession. After becoming successful, he'd been thinking about getting a high-end one. After much deliberation, he bought a BMW. As the saying goes, "Sit in a Mercedes, drive a BMW. "

He felt his BMW was a great deal; what beautiful woman wouldn't want to ride in such a stylish car?

"I don't plan on that right now. I'll let you know when I want to use it," Ding Bu replied, surprised by the answer. He knew that Xue Jin would always drive his car to meet any woman he was hooking up with.

Why? Because it was flashy, and Xue Jin's own car was too conspicuous—the license plate "00xxx" clearly indicated it was a government vehicle.

"It seems like you haven't had any new stock for two months!" After Ding Bu and Xue Jin became familiar, Xue Jin's wicked side was fully revealed. When it came to eating, drinking, and picking up women, he was absolutely ruthless.

Xue Jin turned to look at him, his smile enigmatic: "Who said I haven't gotten any new stock?"

Ding Bu, seeing his expression, knew something was definitely up and couldn't help but become interested: "Really? What kind? Tell me! If you have time, bring them out for a meal!"

Xue Jin stroked his chin, remaining enigmatic, his smile growing even more mysterious.

Seeing his reaction, Ding Bu became even more curious, rolling his eyes. "I said, you haven't even made a move yet, have you?"

Xue Jin slightly curled his lip. "Do you think I'm like you, chasing a woman for half a year and not even holding her hand? Too innocent, aren't you a coward?"

The other's face flushed slightly, and he glared at him fiercely. "Hey, hey, let's talk about your own business now, why are you dragging me into this!"

Seeing his friend's face change from embarrassment, he didn't press him any further. He pursed his lips slightly, still with that faint smile. "Maybe there'll be a chance. I'll bring her out for you to see, I guarantee you'll be amazed!"

Ding Bu's eyes lit up. "How old is she? Is she very pretty?..."

As they talked, the two of them entered the men's locker room, changed into casual clothes, and slowly strolled towards the fitness area.

"The two bosses are here!" As soon as they entered, a beautiful woman rushed over, nodding and smiling in greeting.

Ding Bu greeted her with a smile, grabbing the girl's hand and staring intently at her scantily clad figure—a small, tight-fitting top revealing half her pink waist, and super-short athletic shorts just covering her shapely buttocks.

"Little Mei, what's wrong? Missed me? Look at you, dressed so lightly, what if you get cold?" Ding Bu's gaze lingered on the girl's small belly button, practically mesmerized.

The beauty smiled gently, subtly withdrawing her hand: "Boss, you still remember me? That's rare, it's been so long!" She gave him a flirtatious wink.

Xue Jin glanced at them listlessly, then strolled inside.

Most men are attracted to women. Ding Bu was relatively well-behaved when he was poor, but once he had money, he loved to flirt. And now, he'd struck up a conversation with a beauty he'd only met a few times.

The girl initially seemed interested in him, but after a few exchanges, Xue Jin lost interest, because the girl was quite shrewd, subtly inquiring about his situation!

After hesitating for a while, Xue Jin decided it was best to leave, as it might cause serious trouble. Seeing that his friend seemed to admire the girl, he subtly spoke well of Ding Bu in front of her.

"I'm just joining in the fun with my buddy. He's paying for everything. He's a big boss; we ordinary folks are really envious!" The girl understood what he meant immediately.

The beautiful woman smiled and moved closer: "Really? What does he do? Is he married?"

Ding Bu was the type to accept anyone, and at home, he was the boss; even his wife couldn't control him, so he wasn't afraid of getting into any trouble. Xue Jin went along with it and briefly introduced Ding Bu's situation.

From then on, whenever the two came to the gym, the beautiful woman's eyes would shift to him…

After Xue Jin had run on the treadmill for five minutes, Ding Bu finally wobbled over, tilting his head and smiling broadly, making Xue Jin frown.

"How about it? Pretty, right? I'll get her tonight!" Ding Bu pressed the start button on the treadmill and stepped onto the moving conveyor belt.

"So-so, as long as she's not all show and no substance!" Xue Jin couldn't help but tease him.

"Come on, can't you say anything good? Didn't you see her figure? A typical S-shape, just looking at her is a feast for the eyes!" He said, becoming self-absorbed, his eyes glazed over.

"Be careful, bring an umbrella, I think this girl's got some wild side!" Xue Jin laughed as he ran.

"Damn! I don't need you to remind me, I have to!" Ding Bu reached out and patted his shoulder: "You say my girl's so-so, but I wonder what kind of goddess your new 'good-for-nothing' is?"

"You won't let me tell the truth, huh? My new 'good-for-nothing' can't compare to your 'old 'good-for-nothing'!" Xue Jin's words became increasingly outrageous, making Ding Bu's teeth itch with anger.

"Don't just talk the talk, walk the walk. I'm waiting to see your new 'good-for-nothing'!" Ding Bu retorted defiantly.

Hearing this, Xue Jin took even bigger steps, further whetting his appetite. He thought, "I said there's no comparison, and there really is. If I brought him out, he'd definitely be shocked."

Chapter Thirty: After running

, the two of them went to work out on the weights. An hour later, they went swimming. After several sets of exercises, it was past noon, time for lunch. After showering and changing, they left the gym one after the other.

Xue Jin sat in his car waiting for Ding Bu. That kid was still inside cuddling with the pretty girl, and wouldn't come out for at least ten minutes. He smoked while thinking about what to have for lunch!

After a while, Ding Bu finally came out, walked to his car window, and grinned lewdly.

"Damn it, don't look at me like that. It's giving me the creeps. Are you trying to kill me at lunchtime?" Xue Jin scolded him irritably.

"You are... jealous, aren't you!" Ding Bu winked, completely ignoring his words.

"Jealous? Jealous of what? I'm not without women either, jealous of you, you idiot!" Xue Jin exhaled a puff of smoke, aimed directly at Ding Bu's square, round, wealthy face.

"Cough, cough..." Ding Bu, without realizing how much nicotine he had inhaled, pretended to be poisoned, bending over and coughing exaggeratedly, as if his lungs were about to burst out of his mouth! Xue Jin was

at his wit's end with this friend, and said coolly, "Are you going to the hospital? Or to a restaurant?"

Before he finished speaking, Ding Bu quickly straightened up, put his fist to his mouth, and cleared his throat, saying, "Let's go to a restaurant, have you decided what you want to eat?"

Eating hot pot on such a hot day was really not suitable, but when the two of them came out of the restaurant, their cheeks were flushed, and they looked very satisfied. They then drove to a health center.

The foot bath and massage were very professional. After relaxing their muscles and bones, the two went to the tea room to sit for a while and talk about some business matters. Just then, a phone call came in.

"Is something wrong?" Xue Jin's small teacup was so small that he could drink the tea in one sip.

"It's a client who wants to get together with us!" Ding Bu looked at Xue Jin and smiled helplessly. Even on the weekend, he couldn't get a proper rest.

"Who?" Xue Jin raised an eyebrow!

He generally didn't appear in company matters unless it was a particularly big case requiring difficult negotiations. Judging from Ding Bu's tone, the client was definitely not simple.

"Lü Ren!" Ding Bu finished speaking, and Xue Jin nodded involuntarily.

Who was Lü Ren? A deputy manager of a construction company. They had met through a large project. One built buildings, the other did interior design—they seemed like a perfect match.

"Does he have any other cases on his plate?" Xue Jin raised his eyes, his gaze shining, exuding the shrewdness characteristic of a businessman.

“Yes! We’ll take this opportunity to have a good talk with him!” Ding Bu also became cautious.

“Okay, let’s go then!”

The two had just finished eating and were now back at the dinner table, feeling helpless. Money was king, and they couldn’t afford to offend the second master who controlled the purse strings.

The meal lasted for more than two hours. When they came out of the hotel, Xue Jin was still relatively sober, but his legs were starting to feel unsteady. He and Ding Bu helped each other to the parking lot.

“Are you alright?” Ding Bu had a better alcohol tolerance than Xue Jin, after all, he handled most of the company’s dinners.

“No, I’m fine.” Xue Jin shook his head and grinned at him, looking a bit silly.

“Are you drunk? Why don’t you find a hotel to rest? I’m worried about you driving like this!” Ding Bu watched Xue Jin get into the car, insert the key, and start the engine, which took him two tries!

“It’s okay, I’m leaving now, I have something to do!” Xue Jin waved at him, then stepped on the gas and sped away.

Driving, Xue Jin forced himself to stay alert and tried to see the road ahead. He finally arrived at the building where Lian Yu lived, took out his phone, and made a call.

"Xiao Yu, Uncle's here. Come downstairs!" Xue Jin leaned back in the back seat, squinting weakly as he spoke—today was the day to take the little girl to visit her brother. Lian Yu hadn't been able to go last time because she wasn't feeling well, and he couldn't miss it today!

Chapter Thirty-One: Outdoor High H

Xue Jin had drunk too much and felt unwell, so he didn't go to the ward with Lian Yu. Instead, he stayed downstairs in the inpatient building, dozing off in the car.

As soon as Lian Yu entered, she saw her brother reading at the table. Hearing the door open, she turned around, her eyes lighting up, and she happily stood up.

"Brother, you can get out of bed now!" Lian Yu beamed, and the two siblings held hands affectionately.

"Yes, brother will get better soon." Lian Jun said this without much joy. Once he recovered, he would be discharged and return to prison, and the thought of that dark and terrifying place gave him a headache.

"..." Lian Yu seemed to realize this as well: "If you go back, I won't be able to see you as often."

Seeing his sister's downturned lips, clearly upset, Lian Jun gently squeezed her small hand and comforted her, "Don't be like that. You can come to see your brother every month, right? Besides, I'll be out in a year, and then you can see me every day."

Hearing this, the little girl's expression softened considerably, and she nodded gently at her brother with endless longing.

Lian Jun smiled and pulled his sister to a chair, gently placing his hand on her thin shoulder, gesturing for her to sit down. Then he smiled and looked at her intently: "Xiao Yu, are you better?"

His sister's face was rounder, her skin glowing, and she looked very healthy.

"Yes, I'm better. It was just a cold." Lian Yu thought to himself! A sudden jolt ran through her, and she instinctively lowered her eyes, a sharp pain shooting through her. She was shocked and humiliated, and felt a surge of grievance that made her want to cry.

If she hadn't been without family by her side, how could this have happened? Remembering that pitch-black night and the small warehouse in the wind and rain, Lian Yu shivered, her face instantly turning deathly pale

. "What's wrong? Are you cold?" Outside the window, the wind

and clouds were thick with darkness, almost unsettling. "A little...it looks like it's going to rain." Lian Yu turned her head away to check the weather forecast. In the dim light, the branches swayed wildly, and she could almost hear the howling wind.

"Yeah, it's definitely going to rain!" Lian Jun looked up slightly, watching the dark clouds gather and churn menacingly before him.

The more Lian Jun looked, the more alarmed he became, his heart filled with worry.

"Xiaoyu, you should go back now. It might rain heavily later, and then you won't be able to leave." Seeing that his sister was alright, he was relieved. If it poured down, it might delay their return home. It was alright for his sister, but what about the director? So Lian Jun thought it was better to leave early, preferably before the rain got too heavy.

Hearing him say this, the little girl, although reluctant to part with her brother, also felt it wasn't appropriate to stay any longer.

"Brother, should I go back first?" Lian Yu had only come to visit and didn't want to reveal a word about her nightmare. Now that she had seen him and her brother was recovering well, she didn't worry about it anymore.

"Okay, go ahead!" Lian Jun nodded with a smile.

"Then I'm leaving." Lian Yu looked at him, her eyes full of tenderness. After taking a few steps, she turned back to look at him again...

Xue Jin was awakened by the knocking on the window. He frowned, looking out the window with an annoyed expression. Only after seeing that it was Lian Yu did his brow relax.

He pressed the electronic key, and then the little girl pulled open the car door and sat in the passenger seat.

"Out so fast?" Xue Jin felt like he had just fallen asleep when he was woken up. He glanced at his watch; although he wasn't sure how long he had dozed off, it certainly hadn't been long.

"Yeah, my brother said he was worried about rain and delays!" A gust of wind blew, and Lian Yu felt a chill on her face, instinctively wiping it with her hand.

"Now it's starting to rain!" Xue Jin looked up at the sky outside the window and sighed.

"Roll up the windows." Xue Jin pressed a manual button next to him, and his window slowly rolled up. Lian Yu followed suit and quickly found the controller on his side.

The space became sealed off. Xue Jin turned the key and started the engine, and the Jeep glided steadily out.

Lian Yu felt a moment of suffocation. It was fine with the windows open; the smell of alcohol on the man dissipated with the wind. But now the entire car was sealed off, and a pungent, acrid smell hit him, impossible to escape.

Lian Yu, who doesn't drink alcohol, is very sensitive to the smell. Her first instinct is to cover her mouth and nose, but

she feels embarrassed, as that would be somewhat rude. Xue Jin smokes often and smells of smoke on him, but it's very faint, and she gets used to it after a while. But the smell of alcohol is unbearable; it makes her feel nauseous.

Unconsciously, the little girl presses her hand to her churning chest, seemingly trying to soothe her aching stomach.

Xue Jin's brief nap hasn't made him feel much better. He doesn't notice the girl's unusual behavior. As he drives, he becomes drowsy. The wind is blowing harder and harder, the rain is pouring down in torrents, and visibility is so low that nothing can be seen within a meter.

Lian Yu was terrified by the chaotic scene of the sky darkening and the torrential rain, her hands and feet turning cold. She glanced at Xue Jin, who seemed relatively calm, but having been drinking, her heart leaped into her throat. Her eyes widened, trying to make out the scenery ahead—her mind raced with terrible thoughts: What if they crashed? What if they overturned into a ditch?

Amidst the little girl's wild imaginings, the car suddenly stopped!

"What's wrong, Uncle?" Lian Yu swayed, somewhat bewildered, frantically looking around. Rows of poplars stood, and the crops could be vaguely seen swaying wildly in the wind and rain.

"I...I don't know either. I'll go check." Xue Jin's speech was slurred; the alcohol was taking effect, his head was spinning, and he desperately wanted to sleep.

He got out of the car, bald, braving the heavy rain, laboriously lifted the hood, leaned over, carefully inspected the damage, and then returned to the car, quite dejected.

Lian Yu stared at him wide-eyed: "Uncle, is the car broken?"

"I don't know, it seems fine!" Xue Jin shook his head, finding it unbelievable. All the machine parts seemed normal, yet the car wouldn't move.

He then inserted the key, trying to start the car again, but after a few clicks, the engine automatically shut off. Xue Jin was extremely frustrated, clenching his fist and slamming it hard on the steering wheel.

"Damn it!" Amidst the curses, he suddenly glanced at the dashboard in front of the car, a thought struck him, and he looked down more closely.

"..." The man's lips twitched twice, his face turning pale: "No, no gas!"

Lian Yu looked at him in disbelief, not knowing what to say. No gas? How could the car still move? It was raining so hard outside, there were hardly any cars on the road, and this place was in the middle of nowhere, with no houses. Who could they ask for help?

Xue Jin tapped his head in frustration. He had remembered to refuel his car when he arrived at the hospital, but he had completely forgotten!

What to do? He looked around and vaguely saw a small house in the distance. Suddenly, he remembered that it looked like a melon patch, and he had seen people living there when he passed by. It

was getting colder and colder. With the heater on while the car was running, it wasn't too bad, but once it stopped, the car was like an icebox. He glanced at the little girl beside him; she was wearing a little dress and was curled up in a ball, shivering from the cold.

Xue Jin looked up at the sky again. The dark clouds stretched as far as the eye could see. It seemed the rain wouldn't stop anytime soon, and there were very few people on this road. He decided to get out and try his luck.

Thinking it over, Xue Jin said to the girl, "Xiaoyu, Uncle is going out for a bit, I'll be right back."

Then he turned around, pushed open the car door, and rushed back into the gray rain without looking back...

A moment later, Xue Jin returned to the car, soaking wet. The rain had driven away most of his drunkenness, and he looked much more energetic. "Let's get out, don't stay in the car. There's a small house over there, it'll be warmer, and we can rest our feet!"

As he spoke, Xue Jin took his sports backpack, pulled out a short-sleeved sweatshirt, and draped it over the little girl. After getting out of the car, he carefully held her to his chest. They waded through a babbling 'stream,' passed through the woods, and then waded through muddy ground, one step deep and one step shallow. Lian Yu's sandals were of poor quality to begin with, and when they stepped into the mud, they sank in and couldn't get out. Raindrops pounded on both of them like tiny fists, making it unbearable. In desperation, Xue Jin didn't care about anything else, bent down, picked up the little girl, and hurriedly ran towards the small house.

As the door closed behind them, Xue Jin reluctantly put the little girl down. For a moment, the world fell silent. In the dim light, the disheveled figures gasped for breath.

With a "pop," a small flame leaped out, flashing a reddish-brown light.

By the light's reach, Lian Yu could see everything in the room—a kang (heated brick bed), barely larger than a single bed, with two quilts haphazardly piled on a straw mat, and a pillow casually draped over it; next to the kang was a pot with an oversized, mismatched lid, clearly not the original, but a replacement; to the right of the stove were several bundles of corn stalks and a small earthenware jar; further on, in the corner of the small brick room, was a cabinet; on top of the cabinet were several bundles of noodles and a candlestick.

Xue Jin walked to the cabinet and lit the half-burnt candle on the candlestick. The flame, starting as a tiny bean, gradually grew stronger, slowly radiating warmth.

"Xiaoyu, come sit down!" Xue Jin said, lifting the candlestick and placing it on the stove, which was closer to the kang (heated brick bed).

"This must be occupied!" Lian Yu, barefoot, walked over awkwardly. The moment her bottom touched the kang, a chill ran down her spine. The overcast sky and the chilly room made her bottom feel cold.

The small house was indeed occupied. When the melons and fruits in the field in front of the house ripened, the owner built a small shack for temporary lodging and guarding the area to prevent theft.

Now that the garden was about to close, the owner wasn't watching as closely. With the heavy rain today, what fool would steal melons from the field?

So the owner had been relaxed all day and hadn't come over!

Xue Jin felt as if he were immersed in ice water, shivering from the cold. He reached for his shirt and, as he unbuckled his belt, couldn't help but think of Lian Yu—the little girl had turned her head, seemingly looking out the window.

Xue Jin let out a long breath, put his hand down, and said, "Xiao Yu, let me start the fire first. Your clothes are soaked through, you must be cold. Take them off and cover yourself with the blanket, don't catch a cold!"

Saying this, Xue Jin turned around, grabbed a few pieces of firewood, and started adding them to the stove.

Although he had never lived in the countryside, Xue Jin still knew basic survival skills. During his time in the army, field training was tough, and he had accumulated a lot of wilderness survival skills.

Lian Yu looked at him, then at the thin blanket behind her. After all, it wasn't hers, and a feeling of disgust welled up inside her. But she was too cold; if she stayed like this, she would catch a cold.

After hesitating for a moment, Lian Yu still pulled the blanket over and carefully took off her little skirt. Underneath, she wore a waist-length vest and shorts that just covered her bottom.

She put the skirt on the edge of the kang (heated brick bed) to dry, and subconsciously looked down at herself—her vest was wet, and the shape of her nipples was faintly visible.

The little girl's face flushed. How could she face anyone like this? She quickly pulled the blanket over her chest.

In Chapter Thirty-Two, in the wilderness,

Xue Jin scooped water from the water vat and poured it into the pot. Water droplets dripped continuously from his dark, short hair; his white tank top had darkened; and his pants were soaking wet.

Lian Yu knew he must be feeling very uncomfortable too, but she was a girl and didn't want to ask him to change his clothes. If her uncle was really only wearing his underwear... it seemed even more inappropriate for them to be together like this.

In an unfamiliar place, in a confined space, people seemed more sensitive. Xue Jin didn't look at the little girl, but his blood was churning. The sound of rain and wind, the natural forces that isolated the secret realm, seemed to give people a sense of unbridled freedom...

A handsome man in a suit and trousers was squatting by the stove, fiddling with a dirty stalk, which was quite eye-catching no matter how you looked at it.

Quietly hiding behind the covers, Lian Yu couldn't help but feel touched.

After a while, the water boiled. Xue Jin found a basin somewhere, opened the door, washed it with rainwater in front of the room, and then filled it with hot water, bringing it to the little girl.

Lian Yu washed her hands and feet, and Xue Jin, not minding the muddy water, washed his feet with the slightly warm water and then splashed cold water on his face.

There was a dry towel in the room, but neither of them used it for fear of it being unclean, instead waiting for the moisture to evaporate naturally.

After everything was settled, the rain outside was still pouring down, showing no signs of letting up.

"I don't think this rain will stop today. Why don't we just make do here for the night? Uncle is sleepy too!" Xue Jin was seventy percent sober now, and although he was sleepy, he wasn't as tired.

Lian Yu licked her lips. Although she was reluctant, she had no choice. The two of them, each with a quilt, lay down on the same bed. The kang (a heated

brick bed) was small, and the little girl slept close to the wall. She felt a little nervous, but not too scared, since it wasn't the first time she had slept with Xue Jin. "Is the kang cold?" The earthen kang was very cold on rainy days.

"Mmm!" Lian Yu lay flat on her back, her shoulders numb from the cold, and she couldn't fall asleep.

Xue Jin sat up and spread his quilt on the kang. In the dim light, his face was somewhat blurry: "Xiao Yu, come and sleep here. If we sleep together, we won't be cold!"

Lian Yu turned her head to look at him in surprise, somewhat confused. Sleep together? What did that mean?

Before she could react, Xue Jin dragged her from the other end of the kang like a chick and forced her onto his quilt.

Lian Yu was momentarily stunned, letting him do as he pleased. Suddenly, he felt a huge shadow loom over him, the man's scarlet eyes gleaming like a vampire in the night.

"Ah..." Lian Yu stared wide-eyed at the body pressing down on him, frantically pushing him away, "Uncle, what are you doing? Go away, go away!"

Chapter Thirty-Two: Wilderness High H

The rain that night was incessant and relentless.

The next day, the crops, the trees, and the dirty little house were much cleaner. Lian Yu huddled in the corner, listening to the raindrops pattering on the asbestos roof tiles—the sound used to be cheerful, but now it was a mournful drizzle. Xue

Jin stood in the middle of the room, holding half-dry trousers, putting them on. After putting on the trousers, he put on his shirt, and only turned around when he was completely clean and tidy.

He first looked out through the glass. It was still raining, but only a light drizzle, and the dark clouds had dispersed, leaving only a few scattered, insignificant wisps of cloud.

It seemed the rain would soon stop.

Xue Jin felt a surge of pleasure. Yesterday, he'd been working himself to the bone, leaving the little girl completely exhausted, utterly helpless, like a lump of dough to be kneaded and flattened. She'd

fainted several times, only to be woken up by himself, crying and pleading. Her innocent, beautiful voice had completely stirred his wicked desires, and he'd spent almost the entire night doing what pleased him.

Now, the little thing looked pitiful, wrapped in a thin blanket, her hair disheveled, curled up in a corner, sobbing softly and sadly.

Xue Jin raised an eyebrow, deciding to have a proper talk with her later.

He reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone—a Philips candybar phone, mediocre in performance, but with a long battery life, so he didn't need to charge it often.

He pressed the power button, and the screen lit up.

He didn't know what time it was last night, but when the phone rang, he was enjoying himself on top of a little girl. There was no time to answer the call, but the ringing wouldn't stop. Finally, frustrated, Xue Jin got off the bed, grabbed the phone, and turned it off.

Although he hadn't looked closely, the caller ID was familiar—Bai Sisi's number.

Xue Jin checked the number, then pursed his lips, looked up at the gray sky, and stared blankly for a while before finally snapping out of it.

He dialed a number, waited a minute, and no one answered. He dialed again, and this time it rang many times. Just as Xue Jin was about to curse, there was finally a response.

"Hello, who is it?" Ding Bu's voice was sleepy and hoarse, with a hint of displeasure, as if he hadn't slept enough.

"Me? Who did you say?!" Xue Jin crossed his arms and shifted his gaze from the sky to the little girl—the little thing was still in the same position, motionless, only her small shoulders under the blanket twitching occasionally.

"Ah..." Ding Bu heard Xue Jin's voice, rubbed his eyes, and sat up in bed: "You, so early, what's up?"

"Well, drive over to xx Road now and bring a small can of 93-octane gasoline, my car is out of gas!"

"Out of gas?" Ding Bu was surprised. xx Road was a gravel road, rarely used, mostly surrounded by crops. What was he going there for?

"What happened? That's not close, what were you doing there so early?" Ding Bu perked up. Xiao Mei, who was beside him, had also been woken up and pouted at him in dissatisfaction.

"Stop talking nonsense, I told you to come over, so come over. I'm still freezing here!" Xue Jin complained, but he didn't feel wronged at all.

Ding Bu stroked his chin, rolled his eyes, and gave his lover a wink—who observantly took a cigarette from the pack on the bedside table and lit it for him.

Ding Bu took a savored puff, but something felt off, so he started acting like a rogue: "It's Sunday, and you're disturbing my sleep so early. You're so mean, making me travel so far. Do you know how tired I am…"

As he spoke, Ding Bu noticed Xiao Mei's expression was off and knew she was a little angry. He immediately pulled her into his arms, his large hands unceremoniously kneading her shoulders.

"Come on, were you too exhausted yesterday to get up?" Xue Jin wasn't buying it.

"Hehe!" Ding Bu chuckled dryly, "You're just jealous of me, aren't you? I'm still in bed with my little darling right now!" Before he finished speaking, Xue Jin heard a faint female voice on the other end, "Don't mention me, you're so annoying!"

Xue Jin felt like he was in a real crisis, and that old guy was still flirting with him.

"Damn it, stop joking around, hurry up and come over, I have a lot of things to do, I'll tell you slowly when you get here." Xue Jin realized that if he didn't give him some excuse, that guy would probably keep arguing with him.

"Okay, okay, I'll wash up and come right away!" Ding Bu was just teasing him, but he still had to go.

"How long will it take?" Xue Jin asked impatiently.

"..." There was a moment of silence on the other end: "An hour, an hour should be about right."

"Hurry up!" Xue Jin knew it wasn't a short distance, so he gave a final instruction and hung up the phone.

Chapter Thirty-Three: Changing Face

He checked the time, 6 a.m., how many hours had they slept?

Xue Jin put away his phone, walked to the edge of the kang (a heated brick bed), sat down, glanced at the little girl, and then moved to the corner of the wall. Lian Yu heard the noise, looked up, and saw him approaching.

"Waaah, don't come any closer, don't come any closer... ah..." Lian Yu was in tears, as if she had seen a demon. Her face was pale, her lips were ashen, and several conspicuous bite marks oozed bright red blood.

After a scream, the thin blanket covering her was ripped off by the man without warning.

The little girl's cotton vest was ripped open from the chest, revealing one of her small, bright red nipples, which was swollen and raw from being sucked. Her lower body was bare, exposing half of her round, plump buttocks and her long, slender, white legs, smooth and delicate, slightly bent.

"No...go away, go away..." Lian Yu felt a chill run down her spine from his burning gaze, hugging herself tightly and curling up like a shrimp.

Xue Jin didn't take her words seriously, his gaze roaming unabashedly over her young and beautiful skin. Despite the little girl's fear and unease, he didn't pounce on her.

After a moment, Xue Jin withdrew his gaze: "Don't cry, what's the use of crying? I've already fucked you."

Xue Jin used a very obscene and direct word. In his mind, he had already defined the little girl as his little woman, his bed warmer. He had taken a liking to her, and now that he had tasted her, how could he let go?

The little girl was filled with shame and indignation. Her eyes, peeking out from behind her bangs, were filled with hatred. For a fleeting moment, Lian Yu really wanted to rush up and kill him.

But it was only for a moment, because reality was cruel. The stinging pain in her lower body tormented her constantly, a constant reminder of how strong and evil men were.

A brief moment of harmony made her feel like a worthless slut. When she

was little, when others insulted her, she would retort with curses like "fuck you," "fuck you." When her grandmother found out, she would always turn cold and scold her, telling her that her words were the dirtiest and most shameful, and that she should never curse like that again. As she grew older, she vaguely understood some things, but not thoroughly. Yesterday, when the man mentioned "x hole," she suddenly understood something.

She had been violated by her uncle. She was finished, she was ruined. She had been defiled by two men. Her vagina should have been reserved for her brother Cheng, but now her body was full of her uncle's things. It was so dirty. Instantly, helplessness and humiliation filled her entire heart.

“I want to go home, go home…” Lian Yu felt utterly desolate; she never wanted to see this devil again.

“Go home? Go to which home?” Xue Jin’s hawk-like eyes were fixed on her, shattering her illusions. “If you go back to that little house, aren’t you afraid someone will sneak in and bully you again? If you want to move? Where can you go? Do you have money?”

Lian Yu’s mind was numb from crying. She slowly analyzed the man’s words, finding some truth in them. But no matter what, she had to leave; she didn’t want to be violated by him again.

“No, I want to go home, I want to go home, go home…” The little girl was agitated, shouting loudly.

Xue Jin was annoyed by her shouting. Her voice was hoarse, as if sanded, coming straight from her throat—it was terribly unpleasant to hear.

“Shut up!” Xue Jin looked at her coldly, and then the little house fell silent, with only the sound of raindrops outside.

"You have no choice. Why don't you come with me? Isn't your uncle's house nice? It has a TV, a water heater, carpet, and a security door. With me by your side, no one will bully you." Xue Jin's face softened, his tone gentle, carrying a hint of seductive charm.

"No, no, let me go home..." Lian Yu was startled by his shout and didn't dare to wail anymore, only sobbing softly.

She could tell right from wrong; men were man-eating devils. She hated him! She loathed him!

Seeing her refusal, Xue Jin continued to coax her, "Uncle knows you've had a hard time, and school costs a lot of money. Don't you want to go to university? If you agree to be with me, Uncle will support you through your studies and even give you that house, how about that?"

Xue Jin spoke these words almost without thinking; he said whatever came to mind. Subconsciously, he didn't want to take any responsibility for his words because he didn't believe he could be with her for that long. There were still eight or nine years until the girl graduated from university, and by then he would probably be bored and dump her, so why would he fulfill his promise of the house?

Furthermore, there was the issue of the property rights. Bai Sisi had paid for most of the house, and the property certificate was in both their names. If he really wanted to give it away, both of them would probably have to agree.

In short, Xue Jin's promises about graduating from university and the house were completely unfounded.

Fortunately, his despicable intentions didn't have any real effect. The girl still shook her head, shaking it like a rattle-drum, as if to say, "You're trash, and everything you say is nonsense."

Xue Jin narrowed his eyes, his heart filled with resentment. "Is that not allowed? I've taken a liking to you, a country bumpkin, and I've already slept with you, and you still won't submit?"

This man, experienced in his own right, had never met his match before. It didn't hurt, but he felt incredibly humiliated, entirely due to his pride and self-esteem.

Yesterday's events were entirely accidental, yet inevitable. Sooner or later, he would openly take her, but right now, he'd rushed things, and this girl was still raw inside.

Lian Yu raised her eyes, seeing his ashen face, her expression dark and brooding. She swallowed hard and said, "Uncle, please let me go. Let's pretend we never met, okay?"

Hearing this, Xue Jin's face grew even uglier—let you go? All the things in my house were for you. If you leave, I'll be at a huge loss.

At this moment, the man's mind was racing, calculating every possible move. He quickly realized his mistake and decided to calm her down first.

“Xiaoyu, what you’re saying really hurts me. I like you, I really like you, otherwise I wouldn’t…” The man sighed at this point, then continued, “My family isn’t happy. Your aunt is a busy woman, and besides work, I’m mostly lonely. These days with you have been the happiest days for me.” As he spoke

, Xue Jin, a grown man, actually feigned melancholy: “Originally, I liked you and wanted to keep it in my heart, but yesterday… yesterday I drank too much, so I couldn’t help myself…”

At this point, Xue Jin regretfully slapped his head and sighed, “I… I deserve to die. How could I treat you like that? Xiaoyu, hit me…”

As he spoke, Xue Jin leaned forward, grabbed the little girl’s wrist, and pretended to hit himself: “Hit me, it’s all my fault. As long as you can forgive me, I’ll even kill you.”

Lian Yu was stunned by this sudden turn of events. She tried to pull her arm back, but the man held on tightly, and her little hand ended up hitting the solid wall, causing a dull pain.

"Ah... Waaah... Let go... Uncle, let go..." Lian Yu's hands were cramping from the pain.

"I won't let go. If you don't forgive your uncle, he'll let you hit him!" Xue Jin said, showing no mercy to his own hands, which made things very difficult for Lian Yu.

"Waaah... I forgive you, please stop hitting me, please stop hitting me..." As soon as the words left her mouth, the man's face lit up with joy: "Really? You really forgive your uncle?"

Lian Yu nodded, still in shock.

"Then will you still move out?" Xue Jin looked incredibly grateful.

"Uh... just, as long as you don't bully me anymore, I forgive you." Lian Yu said insincerely, completely just going through the motions.

The noble image of Xue Jin in her heart had completely collapsed. At this moment, in her eyes, her uncle was a villain.

"Really? Okay, Uncle promises not to bully you anymore. Xiaoyu is such a good girl. Uncle can't live without you. Uncle will make it up to you."

While Xue Jin was spouting nonsense, Lian Yu could only nod passively. Xue Jin

, however, was still harboring ulterior motives. Less than a day had passed, and he was already plotting how to get his hands on the little thing next time. That blissful feeling was unlike anything he'd experienced with other women. However, today was also a novel experience for Xue Jin: he had played both the good cop and the bad cop for a 14-year-old girl

.

After receiving the girl's forgiveness, Xue Jin became attentive again.

"Xiao Yu, are you feeling unwell? Let me boil some water for you to wash up!" The man turned and went to the stove.

Lian Yu looked at him listlessly, finding him utterly annoying. If looks could kill, Xue Jin would have been chopped into mincemeat by the glares behind her.

Xue Jin peered into the water tank; it was almost empty. What to do? He glanced at the rain outside—it was barely audible, and he could vaguely see thin white streaks.

"There's no water left. The rain isn't too heavy either; it won't collect much. I'll get you a clean, damp cloth to wipe you down." Xue Jin looked around.

The house was small, only a few square meters; one glance was enough to see everything inside. In the end, Xue Jin was disappointed.

"Xiao Yu, would that towel be okay?" He wasn't sure if it was clean, but it would be usable.

"No, it's too dirty." The little girl shook her head. She felt terrible down there—dry, sore, and filthy. Despite this, she refused to use anything of unknown origin.

Seeing her refusal, Xue Jin had to think of another way. He looked down at his clothes—a fine shirt and neat suit trousers.

This outfit was definitely not fit for a rag. Maybe he should take off his cotton vest and give it to her.

With that thought, Xue Jin began to undress.

"You, what are you doing?" Lian Yu didn't want to move. She barely had the strength to lift her eyelids. In her dazed state, she saw the man's horrifying behavior.

He was unbuttoning his shirt!? A bad thought immediately surfaced in her mind.

"Don't be afraid, Uncle..." Just as she was about to say something, she looked up and saw the little girl's slightly exposed shoulder—a small white armband clinging to it.

"Xiao Yu, since you think the towel is dirty, just use your vest. It's ruined anyway." Xue Jin's heart raced at his own words.

Hearing his words, the little girl bit her lip and remained silent for a long time. "Or, you can use

mine!" Xue Jin had only unbuttoned the third button of his shirt, and was about to unbutton the fourth as he spoke.

"No, don't! Use mine." Lian Yu didn't want to touch anything related to him, even though she was now covered in his masculine musk scent.

"Okay." Saying this, Xue Jin wisely turned his back.

Lian Yu's heart pounded. She stared at the man's back for a moment until he impatiently urged, "Are you done yet? I'm turning around!"

Xue Jin didn't have eyes in the back of his head, but he heard no movement in the room and knew that the little girl was still hesitating, so he couldn't help but threaten her.

"Not, not yet, almost done." Lian Yu gently pulled open the blanket tightly wrapped around her body, not fully unfolding it, but moving around inside for a while.

The two soft breasts on her chest were swollen like small steamed buns, and even more eye-catchingly red. Just one look made Lian Yu feel both ashamed and angry.

"I won't forgive you, I won't..." She almost burst into tears of grievance, but in the end, she forced back her tears.

She just pursed her lips, swallowed the sob that rolled in her throat, and then forced it back down.

"That's enough." The vest in Lian Yu's hand had been torn open by the man, making it unwearable. What else could it be used for but as a rag?

Xue Jin took it, went to the door, opened it, and began to wash the rag in his hands with the rainwater dripping from the eaves.

As Xue Jin washed, he thought to himself that he had never done this kind of work at home, but unexpectedly, serving a little girl was like an addiction. He wondered what kind of blessing she had accumulated in her past lives.

However, this couldn't go on forever. Every time he slept with her, it was like he was in postpartum confinement, needing to rest for several days. When would this end?

Thinking this, Xue Jin pursed his lips: She's still so young, she can't take it easy.

A light drizzle was falling outside. Xue Jin squatted by the door for a long time. Finally, the cloth was soaked through. He stood up, twisted it slightly with both hands in opposite directions, then gently shook it out, flattened it, and carefully folded it into thirds.

Despite being a man, Xue Jin, though with a refined appearance, moved with a masculine air, far from effeminate. He

handed the neatly folded square of cloth forward. The little girl took it cautiously, afraid that if she wasn't careful, it might not be pulled up properly and certain parts of her body would be seen by the man.

Seeing her frightened state, Xue Jin considerately turned his back to her.

Lian Yu was very nervous. She now distrusted him to the extreme. People say that once bitten by a snake, twice shy; she was afraid she would be afraid for life.

The cloth was wet and cold. As soon as it touched her lower body, Lian Yu felt a chill run through her body, accompanied by obvious pain. She couldn't help but shiver. Even so, she slowly rubbed her private parts.

It was so dirty—she rubbed the cloth against her own vulva, moving down to her buttocks, then her inner thighs. After wiping once, she turned the cloth over and continued wiping.

When she was almost done cleaning, she took out the cloth and saw that the white congealed substance on it was tinged with blood, a glaring sight, and there was a strong, fishy stench.

Lian Yu couldn't hold back and gagged a few times, her eyes becoming increasingly red, tears welling up in them.

Xue Jin turned around, intending to check on her, but the scene he saw made him somewhat angry—was his stuff really that dirty? She was about to vomit.

"Are you alright?"

After the gagging, there was coughing; the little girl's chest heaved, her face turning from white to red, but her lips remained bloodless.

Lian Yu felt terrible; she felt like she was coughing up her lungs. The smell from before was so strong; it entered through her nasal cavity, traveled to her brain, and made her feel nauseous all the way to her heart.

The little girl was still innocent, her mind and body immature, so she couldn't appreciate a man's unique charm—his masculine scent. Just like she hated Xue Jin's large penis; it was big and thick, drilling into her with all its might, causing her pain, then a strange pleasure, but ultimately leaving her exhausted, feeling like she was dying.

Xue Jin couldn't bear to watch any longer, so he climbed onto the bed and gently patted her back.

When Lian Yu saw him approach, she almost choked and fainted, but thankfully, her human instincts saved her; she still knew to breathe at the crucial moment.

This fright, however, also had a silver lining—she stopped coughing.

Lian Yu took a few deep breaths, her breathing becoming much more even, and gently moved to the side: "Uncle, I'm fine, it's okay."

The little girl wiped the drool from her mouth and swallowed.

Xue Jin understood her meaning perfectly well, but said nothing. He got off the kang (heated brick bed) expressionlessly, then went to the water vat and used a ladle to scoop up the meager amount of water. He almost broke the bottom of the vat before he could barely get a large mouthful.

Xue Jin held the ladle to her lips: "Drink some water, it'll make you feel better."

Lian Yu glanced at him, then silently took the ladle and drank it all in one gulp. She was indeed thirsty. She

had cried for a long time yesterday and screamed most of the night; her throat was very sore.

Xue Jin turned around and placed the ladle on the stove. Lian Yu stared blankly at him, her heart aching with sorrow: Uncle was perfectly fine before, how could he suddenly change? Even now, she didn't want to believe what had happened last night.

It was betrayal by someone she trusted; the feeling was helpless, bewildered, and utterly hopeless.

Xue Jin checked the time; it was almost 7 o'clock. He estimated that Ding Bu would arrive soon.

“Xiaoyu, Uncle’s friend is coming over soon…” Before he could finish, the little girl shook her head nervously, “I, I don’t want to see anyone.”

“I didn’t say you had to see him. He’s coming, and I have to go out for a while. You stay here and wait for me, okay?”

Lian Yu looked at him suspiciously, then nodded gently.

“That’s a good girl. After Uncle fills up the car with gas, we’ll go back.” As he spoke, Xue Jin subconsciously raised his hand, wanting to tuck the little girl’s bangs, which were covering half her face, behind her ear.

Lian Yu’s eyes were beautiful, gray-blue, radiating a mesmerizing light.

Before his hand even touched her hair, Lian Yu reflexively turned her head away, and Xue Jin only touched air, his hand cold and frozen in mid-air.

For a moment, everything around them froze; Lian Yu could almost feel the chill emanating from the man.

Looking at his awkwardly large hand, Xue Jin really wanted to grab her hair and make her cry, but the next moment, the man suppressed his anger and smiled faintly.

"Xiao Yu, Uncle will go out and take a look first, wait for me!" Saying this, Xue Jin lifted his bottom from the edge of the kang (heated brick bed) and turned around—in an instant, the man's expression changed.

His eyes darkened: You really don't know what's good for you. Just wait, it won't be long before you behave yourself. Do you think I can't handle a little brat like you? Then I'm not Xue!
