[Fantasy] Gods and Demons Among Flowers (Complete) - 29

Chapter 162 Alice's Arrival (Part 2) "

Hey, what are you doing? You dragged someone to this godforsaken place without even telling them! How boring!" Alice shoved my hand away, yelling impatiently. So that's why Alice reacted so strongly – I teleported the two girls to the top of the mountain behind the academy. "And

you're one to talk! You almost got me into a hopeless situation. Look at your fans, they all want to tear me apart! Did you think I'd just stand there and wait to die?!" I said irritably, hearing Alice's complaining. "

Serves you right for bringing them to this godforsaken place." Alice ignored me and spoke sarcastically. "

Oh, so you're saying I shouldn't have done it? Fine, I'll send you back now, is that alright?" "You're really biting the hand that feeds you!" I said, annoyed by Alice's slightly sarcastic words. After I finished speaking, a flash of white light appeared between my hands, and a magnificent teleportation portal appeared before us.

Uh… Alice was startled by the sudden appearance of the magical portal, but when she saw me about to push her through, she panicked, clinging to my arm and crying, “No…no, I don’t want to go back! I finally got a chance to come see you, please don’t leave me, sob sob…” As she spoke, a few tears slid from the corners of her eyes, dripping onto the back of my hand, warm and damp.

Just then, Sila, whom I had pulled along, began to scold me: “Husband, why are you doing this? Alice is so devoted to you, how can you bear to send her back?!” “Sila, don’t fall for her tricks! She’s the Grand Marshal of the Hawk Empire, the Goddess of a Hundred Battles, Alice! She’s resourceful and intelligent; don’t let her words bewitch you.” I said, pulling Alice forcefully towards the portal while trying to persuade Sila.

"And she calls herself resourceful? You showed up and utterly defeated her, leaving her no choice but to submit. Where's your chivalry?" Alice stared at me with mournful eyes and said resentfully. "

Husband, Alice has already said so much, just let her go, let her stay here!" Seeing Alice's hurt expression, Sila couldn't help but plead with me.

"Oh, Sila, why won't you listen to me? This brat is so cunning, don't be fooled by her appearance." Hearing Sila's advice, I said impatiently. "It's

a misunderstanding, sister! You have to stop him for me! If I go back, I'll be annoyed to death by all those young men and women! I finally got some fresh air, I don't want this to end so soon, sister..." Alice said to Sila with pleading eyes.

Hearing Alice's confession, Silva, who had been standing idly by, suddenly took action. She ran over and grabbed my arm, pulling it back repeatedly to stop me from pushing Alice into the portal.

"Silva, what are you doing? Stop!" I quickly stopped her. But as I saw the portal fading into the distance, I knew my attempt was doomed. Helpless, I had no choice but to withdraw my hands, leaving Alice by my side.

Seeing the portal disappear, Silva gave Alice a victory sign, and Alice, who had been teary-eyed, burst into laughter. However, a hint of something in that laughter made me frown, but I couldn't do anything about it.

After the crying and fuss, it was time to go home. I took Silva's little hand and defiantly challenged Alice, but my overly enthusiastic wife, Silva, quietly placed Alice's little hand in mine, while she clung to my arm, following me closely.

Back home, as soon as I entered the yard, several wives rushed out of the house, looking at our trio with amused smiles. It turned out our trio was quite an eyesore; Silas was clinging to me like a koala, while Alice was pulling along behind me, though Alice was blushing shyly and dared not look up at the women. "

Honey, what a clever trick! You even managed to snag a girl while visiting your father-in-law! Impressive!" Vivian, who always loved to tease me, started bombarding my ears again.

Faced with Vivian's nagging, I could only sigh, pat Silas's shapely bottom, and whisper in her ear, "Silly girl, wake up! All the sisters are watching!" "Hmm… a little longer… ah… all the sisters are watching! You idiot, you didn't even tell me!" Silas quickly jumped off me, her face flushed, and pounded my chest, crying out.

Hehe… Sisi’s coquettish behavior towards me in front of all the women caused them to burst into laughter. Even Alice, who was standing behind me with her head down, couldn’t help but tremble, seemingly trying hard to suppress her laughter.

Seeing the women laughing at her, Sisi’s face flushed red, and she whispered, “I’m ignoring you all!” Then she covered her face and ran back to her room.

The women exchanged knowing smiles as Sisi ran back to her room, their understanding unspoken.

After teasing Sisi, the women turned their attention to Alice, especially the mischievous Vivian, who went up to Alice, circled her a few times, and finally couldn’t help but exclaim, “Xie Yun is so lucky! I wonder where he’s found this naive beauty.” “Girl, I feel so sorry for you! You like a womanizer like him? It’s like a beautiful flower stuck in cow dung!” “Wife, are you insulting me or praising me?” I said with a wry smile.

"Hmph, everyone knows your character, everyone knows your nature. I wouldn't even deign to praise you. You're always eating what's in your bowl while eyeing what's in the pot, a real thieving cat." Vivian's sarcastic skills are getting better and better; she can insult people without using a single swear word.

...Seeing my depressed expression, the women couldn't help but cover their mouths and laugh. "

Look at you, you still won't let go of her hand, are you afraid she'll run away?" Vivian suddenly had a wooden stick in her hand, and she whistled it towards my wrist.

"Uh..." Hearing the whistling sound, I quickly let go of her hand and said hastily, "My ladies, I have some urgent business to attend to, so I'll take my leave first." I can't care about Alice's life or death now, I'll get out of here first. Besides, the ladies won't make things difficult for her.

"Xie Yun..." Alice panicked when she heard I was leaving and couldn't help but call out to me.

Almost simultaneously, several women shouted: "Stop!" I had to stop in my tracks, because I knew that if I disobeyed my wives' orders, my future would be bleak. "

My dear wives, I really have urgent business, please let me go!" I pleaded. "

Hmph, every time we question you, you always find a chance to sneak away. Are you even a man?!" Vivian huffed.

"Hehe..." I chuckled foolishly, scratching my head, ignoring Vivian's question.

Just as the women were feeling helpless towards me, a cheer came from behind them: "Isn't this Sister Alice? What are you doing here?!" Although the Fire Dance Duchy and the Hawk Empire were enemies in the past, Alice's ability to hold a place on the male-dominated continent made women, regardless of nationality or hostility, truly happy. Meeting Alice here today truly excited and delighted Lia. "Alice?

Who is Alice?!" the women couldn't help but ask in confusion.

"Sister Alice is the Goddess of a Hundred Battles of the Hawk Empire! I heard she was coming to the academy, but I never expected my husband to bring her!" Lia said, suppressing her excitement.

The other women gasped. The Goddess of a Hundred Battles' reputation was known throughout the entire Magic and Martial Continent; how could they not know her? Upon hearing that the shy woman before them was Alice, the women swarmed around her, bombarding her with questions.

"Hey, where's Xie Yun? Why did he run away again?" one of the women exclaimed. "I took advantage of the women's swarm to escape.

Forget about that jerk; we'll settle the score with him tonight," Vivian said through gritted teeth.

Volumes 163-164 of the "Storm of Wind and Cloud" series: My Wife's in Trouble.

Although I don't know how Alice won the favor of all the women, I do know that my leisurely days are over. With this little devil now, my future days will be much more difficult. Surprisingly, the usually forthright and lively Alice became shy and timid after the women's chatter, especially after seeing me. Her face would blush every now and then, revealing a cute side to her mischievousness. However, I, the genius, strongly believe that something is wrong with her, something that even a doctor can't fix. I wonder what the women said to her that she shouldn't have, or perhaps... Let me test her first.

"Alice, I'm thirsty. Could you make me a cup of tea?" I said gently to Alice, who was busy in the lobby.

Hearing me call her name, Alice blushed again, the blush spreading across her face, making her look incredibly beautiful. If it were before, asking her to make me a cup of tea would have been a nightmare, if not death. I still remember when she lost a bet with me after a defeat, she served me for a month, and asking her to make me a cup of tea almost scalded me to death. Now, things were completely different. As soon as she heard I was thirsty, she quickly made a cup of tea and handed it to me, saying in a voice barely above a whisper, "Xie...Yun, I've made the tea you wanted." Then she looked at me with hopeful eyes, clearly wanting me to drink this cup of tea she had personally brewed.

Seeing her hopeful gaze, I couldn't bear to disappoint her, so I picked up the teacup, took a small sip, praised her profusely, and, pleased with her expression, gestured for her to sit down.

Perhaps because she was still too shy, when I asked her to sit down, she actually sat up straight, her hands on her knees, her eyes fixed straight ahead, not even daring to look me in the eye. I was so angry I was speechless. But you have your clever plans, and I have mine. Since you're too shy to take the initiative, then I, as a man, will surely take the initiative.

In a moment of inattention, my hands suddenly grasped Alice's hands on her knees and pulled them up. Caught off guard, Alice suddenly felt her hands being pulled and knew it was her beloved's doing, but overwhelmed by the shyness typical of girls, she couldn't help but cry out in panic: "Xie Yun, what are you doing? Let me go! It'll be so embarrassing if all the sisters see!" "Hehe, I can let you go, but you have to agree to one condition!" Taking advantage of Alice's inability to break free from my grasp, my left hand wrapped around her slender waist, pressing her tightly against my body, and I said with a wicked smile. "

What condition?" Alice, thrown off balance by my sudden attack, couldn't help but ask in a trembling voice

, "My condition isn't unreasonable . How about you kiss me?" Having never tasted the fragrant lips of this imperial flower before, I was determined to try and see what made her different from other beauties. That's why I made this unreasonable request.

"Um…can we change the condition?" Alice bit her red lips and whispered.

I tightened my grip, a defiant gesture telling her that this explanation wouldn't make me let go. I held her tightly, pulling her closer.

Smelling my strong, masculine scent, Alice completely lost her ability to argue, letting out a soft moan as she collapsed into my arms. Looking at her fragrant red lips, I felt an urge to kiss them. Finally managing to resist the temptation, I shook my head vigorously, secretly admiring her as a truly alluring little enchantress. To get her to agree to my request quickly, my hands became restless, roaming over her body, naturally not missing any of her sensitive spots, using every trick in the book to arouse her. One hand had already slipped under her back, caressing her high, firm breasts.

The moment my hand touched her breasts, I clearly felt her body tremble, her breathing quicken. Feeling a tingling sensation as her breasts were violated, she couldn't help but languidly say, "No...don't do this, I...I promise you." "Okay, you said it!" I smiled slyly and replied. But to Alice's embarrassment, my mischievous hand didn't leave her breasts despite her compromise.

Alice saw a sly glint in my eyes; she knew she'd been tricked, but being able to offer her beloved a kiss filled with love already brought her immense satisfaction. "Still using your hands? Seeing the burning gaze of her beloved, Alice suddenly felt a sense of retreat. She said shyly, "You...you close your eyes, okay?" Looking at Alice's face, almost flushed red, I complied and slowly closed my eyes, projecting my senses to anticipate Alice's next move. Suddenly, I felt Alice's breathing become rapid. Her breath, warm and intoxicating, sprayed onto my face. The hot air drew closer and closer; I could feel her red lips getting closer and closer—ten centimeters, eight centimeters, six centimeters, four centimeters, two centimeters... Our lips were slowly approaching.

Alice saw that I obediently closed my eyes, and her heart began to pound. She cast aside her shyness, gently tiptoed, and wrapped her hands around my neck. Suppressing her embarrassment, she closed her eyes and slowly moved towards my lips—ten centimeters, eight centimeters, six centimeters, four centimeters, two centimeters… Closer, closer. We could both feel the warmth of each other's lips. In that instant, we would truly be kissing.

But just then, footsteps sounded outside. Those peaceful footsteps instantly shattered the sensual scene. Alice, already flustered from her first attempt, was now overwhelmed with shyness at the sound of footsteps. She dared not continue. In her panic, she pushed away my hands that were around her waist, straightened her disheveled clothes to avoid giving herself away, and I, having failed to kiss her, could only offer a helpless, bitter smile. I finally got a chance today, but now it's all gone. I'm so frustrated; I'll never have such a good opportunity again.

When Leah returned home with the women, she sensed something was off, especially when she saw the wry smile that kept creeping onto my lips and Alice's blushing face. She knew perfectly well she had ruined her husband's plans. The other women were also quick to notice the strange atmosphere in the hall. Although the two women tried to hide it well, there were still some obvious flaws. However, the women all accepted Alice as one of their sisters, so they didn't blame her. But the strange atmosphere in the hall desperately needed someone to break it. "

Sisters, it seems we came back at the wrong time!" Although Vivian kept telling herself that Alice was now one of the women, she couldn't shake off her jealousy and couldn't bring herself to say anything sarcastic.

"Hehe, if we sisters had come back any later, I think that lecherous cat would have really eaten me alive!" Lia, always a lively person, had finally caught me slipping up, so of course she wasn't going to let it go. However, the implied meaning in her words made Alice, sitting to the side, quite embarrassed. Her face, which had just faded, flushed red again, and she almost buried her head in her chest.

Lia, adept at reading people, naturally saw Alice's actions and knew that if this wasn't handled well, it could easily cause discord among the sisters. While she was filled with worry, a plan suddenly formed in her mind. She walked up to Alice and said, "Come on, sister, let's go somewhere else to talk." "Okay," Alice looked at Lia gratefully and replied softly. So the two women joined hands and gracefully left, leaving the other women to bombard my ears with questions.

Just then, enduring the barrage of beauties' advances, I suddenly felt a tremor in my left ring finger.

I quickly calculated something, and a startled look appeared on my face. What had I calculated that caused such a sudden change in my expression? And what was it related to? All of this will be revealed in the next chapter.

Volume 2, Chapter 164: My Wife's in Trouble... "Honey, what's wrong?!" Vivian, who was bombarding me with questions, suddenly noticed my drastic change in expression and assumed I was about to lose my temper again, so she asked cautiously. The other women also obediently shut their mouths; they didn't want to provoke me at this moment, as it would be detrimental to both of them. If I did something that backfired, it would break my heart and the women's hearts.

"Davids's in trouble! I have to go save her right away!" I said hastily, a hint of panic flashing in my eyes.

"Davids?! Who's Davids?" The wives who hadn't gone to the Magic and Martial Arts Tournament with me immediately recognized the name and couldn't help but ask jealously.

"Davids is the top beauty of the Liwu Academy. She lost to my husband in the last Magic and Martial Arts Tournament, but later formed an inseparable bond with him. She's one of my sisters!" Vivian said irritably. She was also very unhappy about her husband's philandering, but who could control him? The ten women in the academy were already enough to keep him busy, but his lecherous hands had even reached out to more remote places. It seems my ability to attract women is quite extraordinary. "

When will my husband bring her to meet us?" Sisi asked innocently. However, when she saw the green lines appearing on everyone's foreheads, she knew things were going to get bad and said embarrassedly, "I meant when will my husband introduce her to us?" I didn't care at all about the women's jealous behavior. No wonder, you see and think about these things every day, you'd probably do the same. Feeling the increasing fluctuations of the love ring in my hand, my unease grew stronger. "

Go about your business!" With that, a white light flashed around me, and when the light dissipated, my figure had disappeared from the women's sight.

Rewinding to a few days ago, while we were still frolicking, a rebellion broke out in the small, remote southwestern kingdom of Liwu. The cause was the general's dissatisfaction with the king's cowardly and incompetent behavior, leading to a rebellion and an attempt to overthrow the kingdom. Some might ask, if it's about overthrowing, then so be it; who does Liwu Academy, where David is located, have to do with it? Actually, no. The founder of Liwu Academy has intricate connections with the Liwu royal family; one could say the academy was essentially established by the royal family. Furthermore, the current academy's principal, Archmage Hark, has close ties with the duchy's ruler, supplying the country with a large number of talented individuals every year. Therefore, the rebel general's first target wasn't the duchy's capital, but rather Liwu Academy, which borders the capital. By cutting off the academy's supply lines to the duchy, the overthrow of Liwu was only a matter of time.

Some might ask, what was the Principal of Liwu Academy, Archmage Hark, doing? Why wasn't he guarding the academy to prevent the rebel attack? But some things can't be explained with words alone. In fact, the rebel general was quite capable. A graduate of Liwu Academy, he understood its importance, so while attacking, he sent troops to constantly harass the capital. The weak and incompetent ruler was naturally terrified by this harassment, so he recalled Archmage Hark to his side, hoping for a peaceful night's sleep. However, this action played right into the rebel general's hands. Removing the Principal of Liwu Academy dealt a heavy blow to the academy and gave the rebels an opportunity. Although

a strong barrier protected the entire Liwu Academy, it was bound to be breached eventually. Moreover, even the best academies have their share of talented individuals, and the presence of certain rebels with unclear motives only added to the drama of the battle. Due to a traitor's betrayal, the barrier around Liwu Academy was prematurely removed, giving the rebels an opportunity. A large number of rebels swarmed in, frantically slaughtering those in the academy who opposed them. Although the academy had many skilled magic and martial arts practitioners, they were a drop in the ocean compared to the rebels' numbers. As the saying goes, two fists can't fight four hands; these enemies had more than four hands—ten hands, twenty hands! Could one person withstand such an attack? Thus, the academy's students were either killed, wounded, or at least permanently crippled—they were eliminating all threats. In the end, only a dozen or so experts remained, excluding David. These experts ultimately couldn't escape the rebels' judgment, as they were completely surrounded, with no way to escape. The reason the rebels surrounded them without attacking was because of David.

A commotion arose behind the rebels surrounding David, and a path automatically parted, allowing a young general to strode confidently into the center of the arena with several guards. The general appeared young, about the same age as Davies. His handsome face, clad in armor, gave him a rather imposing presence, but the sinister aura emanating from him made everyone wary. This young man's achievements were entirely due to his father's promotion; as the son of a rebel general, how could he possibly tolerate a mere soldier? "

Davies, the Liwu Academy has fulfilled its mission. Why are you still clinging to it? Why not marry me and become my queen? Once my father ascends the throne, the world will be mine. What do you think?" the young general said with a wicked grin. "

Dream on, Nott! Someone as wicked as you will die a horrible death!" Davies cursed through gritted teeth. Nott, that was the name of the young general. Back at the Liwu Academy, he frequently pursued Davis. Pursuit itself wasn't the problem, but his methods were too ruthless. Anyone who dared to pursue her either had their legs broken by Nott or was left permanently crippled, unable to care for themselves. This deterred anyone from pursuing Davis afterward. His vicious behavior also deeply disgusted Davis. If it weren't for her high magical and martial arts skills, she would have long since fallen into Nott's arms. Every time Nott tried to harass Davis, he was beaten black and blue, so much so that he could only admire her from afar. Today, he'd caught his chance, and he wouldn't rest until he had Davis in his house. "

Heh, may they die a horrible death? I'm still alive and well, who dares to curse me to death!" "Heh, my dearest Davis, if you're willing to marry me, I'll grant you any request. Even if you want the stars in the sky, I'll pluck them from the sky for you without hesitation!" Nott had put a lot of thought into Davies, but unfortunately, she was unmoved by his affections, and not to mention Nott's terrible character, making it difficult for Davies to fall for him. Especially after hearing Nott's words, Davies not only got goosebumps but also felt nauseous, almost vomiting. "

Hmph, want me to marry you? That's a pipe dream! Don't even think about it! Look at how ugly you are!" Davies deeply despised Nott and naturally wouldn't give him a friendly look. "

I hate it when people say I'm ugly! Guards, bring him here!" Hearing his beloved call him ugly, he roared furiously.

From the parted path, two soldiers were escorting an elderly man with white hair and beard, pale-faced and panting heavily, clearly a chronically ill old man. Upon seeing the old man, the sword in Davies's hand clattered to the ground, and his face turned ashen.

"Grandpa, Grandpa, are you alright? How did you get captured by this scoundrel!" Davis cried out urgently. "

Good granddaughter, dear granddaughter, cough cough... I'm fine!" The old man's voice was hoarse as he looked lovingly at his only granddaughter. "

You two are quite a touching sight, Davis. I'll ask you one more time, will you marry me?!" Nott asked sternly. "

Dear granddaughter, don't agree to him! He's a complete scoundrel, and now his father has committed treason! You can't talk to him!" The old man was a reasonable man; he knew Nott wanted to use him to blackmail his granddaughter, so he quickly advised her. "

Old man, this is none of your business! Get out of here!" Nott kicked the old man in the chest, shouting urgently. The old man flew more than a meter away after being kicked, spitting out a mouthful of blood.

"Grandpa..." Davis wanted to rush over to help her grandfather up, but her companion behind her reached out and pulled her back, signaling her not to act impulsively. "

Have you thought it through?" Nott squinted and chuckled wickedly. "

My dear...my dear granddaughter, don't...don't agree to him." The old man, prostrate on the ground, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth, stubbornly said.

Seeing Davies's hesitant gaze, Nott was furious. A malicious intent rose within him towards the old man who had ruined his plans. He grinned sinisterly, "Davies, if you don't agree, I won't be polite." He counted to three, one…two…three… When Nott reached three, he drew his sword and thrust it towards the old man's chest with lightning speed.

What would become of the old man? What choice would Davies make? All will be revealed in the next chapter.

Chapter 165: Husband Comes to the Rescue.

Seeing the lightning-fast sword about to pierce the old man's chest, Davies cried out, tears welling in her eyes, "No!" At that moment, a strange thing happened. Davies saw the sword pierce her grandfather's chest, but for some reason, Nott appeared to be in great pain, while her grandfather was completely unharmed. "

Which hero is blocking my good time? Get out here right now!" Facing the unknown power, Nott, completely unaware of his opponent's strength, continued to shout. This is understandable. With his father wielding immense power, he naturally acts with impunity and without restraint in his own little world. He can kill or live whomever he wants. This extreme expansion of power has fostered his arrogant personality. How could he know the saying, "There are always people more powerful than you"? "

I might not say anything if you block my way, but I'll speak up if you ruin mine." Suddenly, golden raindrops began to fall from the sky. Amidst this golden expanse, a majestic figure slowly descended. Although the figure descended slowly, everyone was immersed in the golden joy, and no one noticed this.

David, who was constantly concerned about her grandfather's life and death, was initially delighted upon hearing the voice from the sky, but then felt disgusted. She thought it was another lecherous man, because the man's tone was somewhat lewd. However, the man's entrance was a bit too grand! But then she was startled, because she felt her waist tighten. The man, without giving her a chance to explain, pulled her into his arms. Sensing the man's distinctive scent, a familiar yet strange feeling welled up within her. Sure enough, in her ear, the man spoke softly: "Baby, I won't let anyone hurt you!" His gentle tone held a hidden strength, a resolute determination to protect her!

Davis suddenly felt incredibly happy, for after months, she heard that familiar voice again. Touching that familiar figure, her joy was indescribable. But remembering her grandfather was still in the hands of that villain, Davis's seemingly strong heart finally crumbled. At this moment, she was more like a wife pleading with her lover. "

Xie Yun, Grandpa… Grandpa… please save my grandpa!" Davis cried, tears streaming down her face, pleading with me. "

Silly girl, you are my dearest, dearest darling. Isn't your grandfather my grandfather too? How could I not save him!" I kissed away the tears from her eyes and gently stroked her hair.

The golden light slowly dissipated into the air, and everyone was astonished to find their goddess in the arms of a strange man. Her delicate appearance instantly evoked feelings of pity. Surprisingly, they couldn't bring themselves to hate the stranger. He had stolen their goddess, but in their hearts, they were the most perfectly matched couple—handsome and dashing, gentle and lovely—a truly golden pair!

Despite this shared sentiment, one person present disagreed: Nott, the son of the rebel general. He was burning with jealousy. He had finally seized an opportunity to coerce Davis into his arms, but some random man had dared to steal the spotlight and win her heart and soul. He was furious. "

Hey, where did this pretty boy come from, daring to ruin my good time? You're asking for it!" Nott roared, his anger barely contained.

Upon hearing the words "pretty boy," a cold glint flashed in my eyes, and I said in a deep voice, "I hate being called a pretty boy more than anything. Anyone who dares to say that will die a horrible death. Want to know what happened to those who called me a pretty boy? They've all been sent to hell by me." Hearing my arrogant tone, Nott thought to himself, "I thought I was arrogant enough, but now someone even more arrogant has appeared. Arrogant people never die a good death." Thinking this, a cold glint flashed in Nott's eyes, and suddenly an idea formed in his mind. He slowly took two steps forward and called out without restraint, "Davids, didn't you want to save your grandfather's life? Today I'll give you a choice: do you want your grandfather, or do you want to throw yourself into the arms of a pretty boy? Choose one. If you choose the former, then you'd better kill that pretty boy. If you choose the latter, then I'll kill your grandfather. How about that? Not a bad idea, right?" I…I…Davis suddenly pushed me away, took a few steps back with difficulty, looked at me, then at her grandfather not far away, and suddenly felt an excruciating headache. She clutched her head, half-squatted on the ground, and screamed: Why…why make me make such a difficult choice? On one side is her family, on the other is her lover; choosing one will inevitably hurt the other. She suddenly felt overwhelmed by the indecision, suddenly felt so weak, and tears streamed down her face.

At that moment, a pair of gentle hands touched her shoulders, and my tender words rang in her ears.

"Darling, you don't need to be so devastated. You don't have to choose either option, because there's a third option!" I said lovingly, gently wiping away her tears. "

A third option? Where did this third option come from?" Davis looked up at her tear-streaked face and murmured. "

Grandpa and I don't have to die, isn't that a third option?" I whispered in her ear. "

You and Grandpa…haha…neither of you will die!" Davis suddenly perked up, her beaming smile leaving me speechless.

"You idiot, hurry up and save Grandpa!" Davis cried out, her face flushed.

"Ah...uh...I know." Hearing Davis's complaint, I stood up from my half-squatting position, my tone turning cold. "Your name is Nott, right? I hate being threatened. I'll give you two choices: either come here yourself to apologize to me and Davis, and bring Grandpa here, or you atone with your death to show your sincerity." "Heh heh, what a joke! You think I'll surrender? No way!" "Guards! Chop this old man to death!" Nott chuckled sinisterly. Four burly men wielding large swords stepped out from behind him, ready to strike at Davis's grandfather lying on the ground. "

Xie Yun, save my grandfather!" Davis cried out anxiously, seeing the four swords aimed at her grandfather. Although she had complete faith in my abilities, seeing her grandfather in such dire straits, how could she not worry?

"Don't worry, darling, your grandfather will be alright!" I gently patted her shoulder, reassuring her.

"Hey ha!" the four burly men shouted in unison, as if showing off their strength, and swung their large knives at Grandpa. Seeing the kind old man about to be torn to pieces, everyone involuntarily closed their eyes. But after a long while, there was still no sound. Some curious people couldn't help but open their eyes, and what they saw shocked them. The old man was nowhere to be seen on the ground, and there wasn't a drop of blood, meaning someone had rescued him. Looking at the four burly men, they stood there blankly, holding broken knife hilts, with shards of broken blade scattered at their feet.

What had happened? Not only was the old man gone, but even the four men's knives were broken. Could there really be a powerful figure here who not only rescued the old man but also shattered the knives of four men? Actually, that wasn't the case. Just as the four burly men were about to strike the old man, a flash of white light suddenly appeared. The large sword shattered upon impact, and after the light faded, the old man had vanished, leaving only the four men standing there dumbfounded, holding half a sword hilt. "

Xie Yun, where's my grandfather?" Seeing that her grandfather hadn't been killed, David finally felt a little relieved, but seeing him disappear into thin air still worried her greatly.

"Don't worry, darling, I've put your grandfather in a very safe place," I said with a smile, gently stroking her nose.

"Thank you, Xie Yun!" Hearing that Grandpa was alright, Davis gratefully kissed me on the cheek. But seeing the surprised looks from everyone, she couldn't bear the lewd stares and whimpered, hiding in my arms. "

What a shameless adulterous couple!" Nott cursed through gritted teeth. "Brothers, kill that adulterous couple!" Hearing Nott's command, the rebels slowly compressed their formation, spears, swords, and arrows raining down on us in the center. "

Xie Yun, quickly think of a way to escape this annoying formation!" Davis cried out in terror at the incoming arrows and the spears and swords aimed at her. "

Baby, don't be afraid, watch me." After assuring her, I muttered to myself, "It's time to let Little Gold out for some fresh air." With a deafening roar, seemingly rising from the ground, a golden light emanated from me, spreading outwards. The intense light blinded the rebels, who forgot all about attacking. Gradually, a miniature golden dragon emerged from my left arm. After emerging, it slowly ascended, its body gradually expanding until a two-hundred-meter-long golden dragon appeared above them, its powerful aura suffocating the rebels. "A dragon! It

's a legendary dragon!" some exclaimed, gazing up at the golden dragon in the sky. "

How did this dragon appear here? Was it summoned?" some history buffs murmured.

Knowing the inside story, I naturally wouldn't reveal the secret. I secretly ordered the golden dragon to eliminate the rebels surrounding me.

What will be the fate of the rebels next? The exciting story continues.

Chapter 166 of the Storm Chronicles: Suppressing the Rebellion

"Ignorant humans! For your own selfish desires, you indiscriminately slaughter your own kind! This is unforgivable by Heaven!" Upon hearing my command, Xiao Jin raised its head, radiating a powerful aura, and addressed the panicked rebels below.

"Oh my god! This golden holy dragon can talk!" someone exclaimed.

"What's so strange about that? When the Fire Dance Duchy and the Hawk Empire were at war, wasn't there a talking dragon too? And that dragon was the mount of the Dragon God General!" someone scoffed. "

The Dragon God General? Could it be another dragon knight here?" someone exclaimed excitedly. "

I don't think so. This golden holy dragon is much larger than the one I saw in that war, but its appearance hasn't changed at all. Could it be that the Dragon God General has personally descended?!" someone cast a probing gaze upon me, and upon hearing this, the others also stared at me with a sense of realization, as if trying to see through me.

Nott, listening to the crowd's discussion, was also startled. If what they said was true, and he was indeed the Dragon God General, then his purpose in coming here was far from simple. He might even be here to help the Duchy quell the rebellion, which would surely bring disaster upon the son of the rebel general. Although the Dragon God General's reputation was at its zenith, it was impossible for him to change the situation alone. However, given his skills, killing him and his father might quell the rebellion.

Thinking of this, Nott felt resentful. He and his father had painstakingly built up this opportunity over the years; how could they simply hand it over? Eliminating him while he was still alone would be a great achievement for him. Even if he had three heads and six arms, as the saying goes, many ants can kill an elephant; with so many of them, they could easily torment him!

The thought of victory beckoning him made Nott somewhat giddy. He had completely forgotten about threatening Davy, and was now only thinking about how to kill him and achieve a great feat for himself. However, there were some things he couldn't understand. The little gold on his head was what caused his carelessness, and having never seen my strength, how could he know its extent? Doing so would only lead him to utter ruin. "

Warriors, form your ranks! Let the enemy see our power! Archers, step forward, prepare to obey my commands!" Nott had never been so happy. No wonder, such a great military achievement falling upon him was bound to please him. However, he hadn't considered the consequences. "

Xie Yun, be careful! They want to kill you with arrows!" Seeing Nott deploying his troops to kill me, Davis, although knowing my personal combat abilities were strong, couldn't help but worry. "

Honey, now you're concerned about your husband? Don't worry, this little thing doesn't bother me." I smiled and playfully pinched her nose, replying. "

You're so annoying!" Davis protested, seeing my jovial expression.

Seeing the two flirting despite their perilous situation, Nott was consumed by jealousy. He gritted his teeth and shouted, "Fire! Fire! Fire as many arrows as you can! Shoot these adulterers to death!" Upon hearing the command, the rebel ranks moved with tense but orderly precision. Two rows of archers advanced, the front row half-bowed on the ground, the rear row following closely behind, nocking their bows and arrows. Swish, swish, swish… arrows rained down on me, heading straight for my heart. After this volley, the two rows of archers immediately returned to their ranks, and another two rows took turns firing, determined to kill me.

Seeing the hail of arrows raining down on me, I laughed heartily. A transparent light shield, centered on me, enveloped the wounded experts, preserving the last vestige of life for the Liwu Academy. *Clang! Clang! Clang!* That was the sound of arrows striking the invisible shield; *Bang! Bang! Bang!* That was the sound of javelins striking the shield. It turned out that Nott, seeing the arrows were ineffective, had ordered the javelin throwers to attack. These javelin throwers were all strong, burly men, each carrying ten javelins on their backs. Their javelins were incredibly powerful and far-reaching, a force not to be underestimated.

Unfortunately for them, they had met me. I wasn't just strong; I was monstrous. No matter how hard the archers and javelin throwers tried, they couldn't budge me an inch. Nott, seeing this, was extremely anxious. His father had taken all the mages to deal with the Archmage Hark, and he should have been certain of victory. But now… alas, it was difficult.

Nott looked anxious, while I looked helpless. These small fry were simply not interesting enough for me, so I just passed this troublesome task to Little Jin.

"Little Jin, teach them a lesson, but don't harm the innocent!" I transmitted my voice to Little Jin above my head. "

Understood, Young Master." I heard Little Jin's steady voice in my mind. It seems that after all these changes, Little Jin has matured a lot.

The rebels who were attacking me suddenly felt a darkness above their heads. The golden holy dragon coiled above their heads finally moved, its thick tail whipping towards them with a whistling sound. The strong wind had already blown them about, and seeing the huge dragon tail sweeping towards them, they were terrified out of their wits. They no longer cared about attacking me. Despite the rebels' swift retreat, they were no match for the dragon's tail. With a resounding thud, the massive tail swept them off their feet, sending them hurtling through the air in parabolic arcs. Most of the rebels were sent flying more than half a meter, groans echoing across the ground. Luckily, the golden tail had shown mercy, only inflicting minor injuries. However, some unfortunate souls were truly unlucky, their fragile heads colliding with hard rocks – death was almost inevitable. Nott,

seeing the long-dormant golden dragon suddenly extend its tail and lash out, was terrified, nearly wetting himself. Before the dragon's might, he was nothing more than an insect. Whether it was the golden dragon's oversight or its deliberate act, Nott, who was expecting to die, found the tail skipping over him and sweeping towards the rebels behind him. Despite its enormous tail, which should have shattered them upon impact, the golden dragon seemed powerless, merely sweeping the rebels half a meter away without inflicting much damage. Nott, having escaped this calamity, was overjoyed to see that his subordinates hadn't suffered much damage. He believed their survival was due to the golden dragon. In his view, the dragon was still young and immature; otherwise, its tail would have surely killed them. Since it was still young, what did they have to fear? He could attack the dragon directly and then finish it off with his sword, becoming the dragon slayer. Then he could have whatever he wanted—money, beauties, power… Wow, just thinking about it made his mouth water. Lost in his fantasies, he failed to consider another reason: Little Gold was merely toying with them.

Nott's drooling, dazed expression puzzled Little Gold. What would it think if it knew this tiny human wanted to kill it and become the dragon slayer?

Nott snapped out of his reverie. He knew that to make his dream come true, he had to turn theory into reality. So, while the rebels stared at Little Gold with bated breath, he issued an order he would regret for the rest of his life. Unfortunately, he could never regret it, not only because there's no going back, but also because he was now invited to the underworld. "

Warriors, take up your arrows and spears and unleash them upon this golden dragon! For we are dragon slayers!" Nott shouted, raising his arms. Little Gold looked at this tiny human with disdain, secretly laughing to himself.

He thought to himself, "He's not even qualified to be a dragon slayer." But what about the others? Dragon slayer—what an honorable title! To possess such an honor would be worth dying for. So, upon hearing Nott's shout, everyone roared in unison, throwing their arrows and spears with all their might, creating an opportunity to shoot down the dragon. And so, arrows and spears, whistling through the air, shot towards the massive golden dragon in the sky.

Dragon scales, arguably the most defensive thing in the world, were far beyond the reach of these tiny creatures. However, these annoying little flies were incredibly irritating, impossible to shake off. Despite its discomfort, the golden dragon dared not act rashly without its young master's command.

Seeing the golden dragon in mid-air ignoring their attacks, the crowd cheered, believing they would surely kill the dragon and claim the tempting title. What fools! Didn't they see that the golden dragon wasn't attacking them simply out of disdain, and that I was also intervening?

These fools continued to unleash their weapons, and I, understanding the golden dragon's intent, sensed its restlessness—simply because the swarm of annoying flies was driving it mad.

After pondering for a long time, I finally gave my instructions: "Little Gold, don't try to make you obey me. Just do what you think is right!" Hearing my words, the dormant Little Gold finally erupted. With a roar, to everyone's shock, Little Gold opened its mouth, spewing out extremely hot dragon flames that poured onto the group of foolish people. Even in death, those people didn't understand what had caused the Golden Sacred Dragon to erupt in full force.

"Ugh..." Davies exclaimed, looking at Little Gold in disbelief. She never expected that Little Gold's single burst of dragon flames would wipe out the entire rebel army, including Enoch. What a terrifying power this was!

I didn't offer much explanation for Davies's surprise. What she saw was the truth. Did I need to explain further?

Chapter 167 of the Storm Riders: The Coup

"Evil... Evil Cloud, is this your mount?" Davies asked in surprise, seeing Little Gold's two-hundred-meter-long body.

“Hehe, baby, you’ve got it wrong. Little Gold isn’t my mount, it’s my friend, you know?” I said with a laugh.

“Little Gold, Little Gold, that’s the name you gave it, right?” Davids pointed at Little Gold and laughed.

“Yes, what’s wrong? Is the name bad?” Seeing Davids’s smiling face, I asked a little embarrassedly.

“No…no, I think the name is quite simple.” Davids quickly denied it, but the hint of a smile in the corner of her eyes betrayed her secret.

“Alright, you brat, you dare to mess with your husband, see how I deal with you!” My lustful hands began to attack her sensitive areas.

“No…no…no…hehe…haha…I’m begging for mercy, okay…ouch…” Davids’s pleas for mercy only stimulated my desire to conquer her. In the midst of the playful fight, when one of my lustful hands climbed up her breasts, Davids could no longer hold back her lustful desire and fell into my arms with a blush on her face.

Gently embracing her slender waist, inhaling her unique, youthful fragrance and the occasional breath she exhaled onto my face, I was completely intoxicated. I looked at Davids's red lips and couldn't resist lowering my head to kiss them. However, just as I was less than a fraction of a second away from her lips, a sharp pain shot through my waist, instantly extinguishing my desire to kiss her. Looking back, I saw it was her hand that had caused the commotion.

"Ouch, honey, don't be so heartless. It's just a kiss!" I said innocently.

"Hmph, don't you know where we are? Everyone's watching!" Davids had initially scolded me loudly, but her voice grew softer and softer with embarrassment.

"Oh, really?" I had been so focused on the joy of seeing Davids that I was startled when I looked back. Everyone was drooling, looking at us with envy.

"Oh my god, are they all infatuated?" I muttered to myself, startled. Turning back to Davis, I said, "Honey, how about we go somewhere else to be intimate?"

A soft "smack" rang out, and a bright red handprint appeared on my arm—Davis was the culprit. She said, "You idiot! I've never seen anyone more lustful than you!"

"So you're agreeing!" I exclaimed excitedly, overjoyed.

"No...no, who's in the mood for intimacy right now? My mentor is in trouble; I have to go save him!" Davis refused.

"Oh, who's your mentor? It's not Archmage Hark, is it?" I asked, surprised.

"Looks like you're not so stupid after all!" Davis rolled her eyes at me, saying irritably.

"Heh heh, don't you even know what your husband does!" I boasted.

"Alright, stop bragging. Let's save my mentor first!" Davis pretended to vomit, saying irritably.

"The Archmage needs me to save him? Seriously?!" I feigned surprise.

"Are you going or not?!" David pinched the soft flesh of my waist, threatening me.

"Okay, okay, okay, I'll go, I'll go!" Seeing David's fierce look, I gave in, casually recalling Little Gold to my left arm, and teleported with David to the place with the strongest magical fluctuations.

After we teleported there, in order not to leave any openings, I suppressed my magical power, cast an invisibility spell, and watched from the side of the hall. David was probably angry that I didn't help her mentor, because her slender hands were pinching and twisting the soft flesh of my waist, making me grimace, but I didn't dare to cry out loud.

"Wife, please forgive me. Actually, I had a reason for doing this. If I suddenly appeared before them, it would definitely arouse suspicion from both sides, and I would be the one who suffers. Besides, there are great advantages to us staying hidden here. As a Grand Magus, your mentor Hark's magical power is indeed unmatched, but don't forget, he is facing two hundred mages. Since ancient times, two fists can't beat four hands. No matter how capable your mentor is, there will always be a time when his magical power is exhausted, and then he can only surrender. But we are different. The enemy is in the open, and we are in the dark. If necessary, we can help him. Wouldn't that be a surprising and unexpected move? Wouldn't that show a little more respect for your mentor?!" I pressed down on Davis's hands that were playing tricks on my waist and spoke eloquently.

"Hmph, you're the most reasonable one!" Davis was obviously moved by my words, withdrew her slender hands, and snorted.

After we concealed ourselves in the main hall, the rebel general and his troops finally stormed into the palace. The remaining royal guards escorted the panicked ruler back into the depths of the hall. Meanwhile, the guardian mage, Hark, remained calmly by the ruler's side, guarding against any potential ambush.

The rebel general, who had long held considerable power, naturally commanded a force far superior to that of the extravagantly wealthy ruler. The rebels quickly cornered the royal guards in a corner of the hall. Despite the presence of Archmage Hark, defeat was inevitable. The members of the royal guard were traditionally composed of direct or collateral members of the royal family, their loyalty deeply ingrained and unwavering. After all, their fates were intertwined; the royal guards were bound by shared destiny. Why wouldn't they fight to the death?

Seeing that the rebels had cornered them, and that further advance would mean certain death, Archmage Hark waved his sleeve, creating a hemispherical, transparent magical shield that enveloped the remaining members of the royal guard, preventing unnecessary casualties.

After cornering the royal guard and their ruler, the rebels didn't rush in. Instead, they parted to create a path, and General Felix, clad in golden armor and with a sword at his waist, led two hundred mages to the front of the column. Behind them, three thousand archers, bows drawn, vigilantly watched the royal guard. Any rash move by the royal guard would be met with a hail of arrows.

"Hahaha, Hagrid, I never thought you'd end up like this! Even now you're cowering behind others. No wonder the people's hearts are with me, hahaha..." Felix laughed wildly, looking contemptuously at the ruler, Hagrid, hiding behind Hark.

"Your Majesty!" Hark couldn't help but interject upon seeing his friend's timid expression. He and Hagoriths had known each other since childhood and knew Hagoriths's temperament well. As his friend, becoming the ruler of the duchy was not Hagoriths's wish; he lacked the talent to govern. However, as the sole heir to the royal family, he had to shoulder this heavy responsibility. Unfortunately, he was simply not cut out for governing, and the decentralization of power left him with only the title, unable to wield real authority, which led to today's disaster. Hagoriths's greatest wish was to be a wandering bard, traveling the continent, experiencing the customs and cultures of different countries, and composing his own magnificent poems. After becoming the ruler of the duchy, this desire intensified. He always felt that the palace was a prison confining his freedom, and whenever he felt troubled, he would express his thoughts in his poems. If Heaven could give him another chance, he would surely relinquish the throne and choose freedom. But there's no going back; once this opportunity is missed, it will forever be lost.

Seeing his friend's encouraging gaze, Hagoriths mustered his courage and roared, "Felix, you dare to be so arrogant! In the people's hearts, you will always be a rebel, while the Haitai royal family will always be the people's royalty!"

"Hahaha… Hagoriths, this is the biggest joke I've ever heard! I'm a rebel, and what are you? The Haitai royal family? Heh heh, look at how the people now hate your royal family more than they like you! You still dare to say the Haitai royal family will always be the people's royalty? Humph!" Felix laughed loudly, his words dripping with sarcasm.

"You…" Hagoriths' face flushed with anger. He had never done anything to harm the people of the duchy, yet the people's hearts were not with him, which deeply saddened him. The reason things turned out this way is because he didn't know how to care for his people, and his lack of political achievements had broken their hearts.

"Hmph, Felix, don't be so smug. Do you think I don't know your little schemes? Bullying the people, forging imperial edicts—is this what you, Felix, have done? The people's hearts are with you? Hmph, just a little trick to fool them. Once your betrayal succeeds, you'll definitely exploit them even more. I will absolutely not let your evil scheme succeed!" Harker grabbed his friend and sneered.

"You… Hmph, Harker, don't you dare slander me! I, Felix, am upright and honest; you can't slander me with just a few words!" Felix was startled when Harker revealed his true thoughts, but his face didn't show anger; he calmly replied.

"Hmph, Felix, stop pretending! Swear to God if you dare!" Seeing Felix's calm demeanor, Harker inwardly sighed at his cunning and snorted.

"I... Hmph, Hack, don't be so smug. Your Liwu Academy has probably disappeared from the continent by now, hahaha..." Felix laughed with a meaningful expression.

"You... What did you say? Liwu Academy disappeared? Felix, you're so ruthless! What a clever diversionary tactic!" Upon hearing that his academy had been breached by Felix, Hack's hatred nearly caused him to bleed to death.

Chapter 168 of the Stormy Era

: Unending Desire. Hmph, as the art of war says, "All warfare is based on deception." I'm just applying what I've learned. I never expected to be able to control you all here today. It seems that years of corrupt living have corrupted the Haitai royal family, hahaha... A cold glint flashed in Felix's eyes as he laughed loudly.

Felix, you're really cunning! A two-pronged attack, what a vicious tactic! As the principal of Liwu Academy, Hack suppressed his grief and said through gritted teeth.

"Heh, to uproot the power of the Haitai royal family has been my greatest wish for many years, and now it's almost come true." Hehe… Felix squinted, looking at the last bastion of the royal family's struggle, and laughed. "

You…you…Felix, I've admired you for so many years, never imagining you had such ambition. It seems I misjudged you." Hagibis tried to persuade Felix with past favors, hoping to change his mind. "

If only you had known this earlier!" Hagibis, "The victor is king, the loser is a bandit. Don't make any more futile struggles." Felix not only disregarded past favors but also demanded that Hagibis lay down his weapons and surrender. "

No way! I will not let the Haitai royal family be destroyed by my hand!" Hagibis shouted, emboldened by some unknown source. "

Since that's the case, then I have nothing more to say. Mage Corps, prepare!" Felix said with a cold laugh.

As the chanting filled the air, Felix had already concealed himself behind the rebel ranks, watching the group surrounded by magical shields with a cold smile. "

I'll fight you to the death!" Suddenly, a member of the Royal Guard, seemingly unable to endure the torment any longer, grabbed his longsword and charged towards the rebels. It all happened so fast; no one had anticipated this turn of events. Even Hark didn't have time to cast a protective shield on him before he brazenly charged towards the chanting mage.

"What an overconfident fool!" Felix scoffed from the rear of the ranks.

The team member had meticulously planned to sacrifice his life to disrupt the magicians' chanting, but the two hundred magicians seemed unmoved. His longsword was about to pierce one of them; he would be content if he could simply disrupt their plans. But fate seemed to have other plans. A whooshing sound rushed towards him, and he looked closely—it was an arrow. He had calculated everything, but overlooked one crucial detail, and that one detail cost him his life. The arrow hurtled towards his chest, and with his rapid forward movement, dodging was impossible. Was he really going to let that arrow pierce his heart? No, of course not. Although years of extravagance had made him somewhat wealthy, he hadn't forgotten his past bravery. Just as the arrow was about to strike his heart, he subtly pulled back with superhuman speed. The arrow missed his heart and instead struck his left shoulder. Struck by the arrow, he paused for a fleeting moment, his speed undiminished. He swung his longsword, thrusting towards the nearest target. Half a meter, twenty centimeters, ten centimeters, ten centimeters… As the target drew closer, a satisfied smile spread across his face. But his smile froze, for a series of whooshing sounds filled the air as countless arrows hurtled towards him. Two centimeters, one centimeter… the target drew even closer. Now, he saw not the arrows hurtling towards him, but only the distance between them. Half a centimeter more, the man was about to be struck, success within his grasp. But then, a sharp pain in his chest brought him to a halt. He looked down and saw a bright green arrow piercing his chest. Excessive blood loss had slowed his steps, and in that instant, several more arrows struck him.

A target so close, yet he lacked even the strength to raise his sword—how tragic! He kept muttering, "Why, why..." Then he slowly turned towards Hercules. His previously vacant eyes suddenly lit up, and he cried out, "I can no longer follow Your Majesty! Farewell!" With a spurt of blood, a mouthful of blood spurted from his mouth, and his body began to swell. "

Oh no, this kid actually chose to self-destruct!" Felix muttered, a flicker of panic in his eyes. But he quickly regained his composure, because in his view, this level of self-destruction wouldn't harm many people. Sure enough, with a bang, everyone's vision turned crimson as a cloud of blood mist rushed towards the group of chanting mages. Unfortunately, did the mage really not have a protective shield? Of course not. A series of blue lights flashed, and the blood mist vanished into thin air. In the end, he still failed to achieve his wish. "Alas, fate is cruel!"

Arno thought. Hagrid, tears welling in his eyes, trembled as he whispered, "Go in peace. In my lifetime, I will avenge you!" The other members of the Royal Guard also wept, sobbing softly. Their ranks had lost a good warrior, a good comrade.

At that moment, the mages' incantation was complete. Arno's sacrifice had not stopped the nightmare from descending. The combined spell, Meteor Shower, cast by two hundred mages, was finished. As everyone channeled their magic power, a nebula-like vortex suddenly appeared above Hark's protective shield. Realizing something was wrong and understanding danger approaching, Hark gathered his magic power and finally unleashed his strongest defensive barrier—Ultimate Defense. In this battle between combined magic and Ultimate Defense, who would be the true victor?

Great Creator God, with your fervor and unwavering strength, break free from the shackles of darkness! Meteor Shower! The sheer scale and power of the chanting of two hundred mages in unison was breathtaking; the composite magic they summoned must have been extraordinary.

As previously mentioned, a nebula-like vortex materialized before them, its layers of shimmering starlight creating a mesmerizing spectacle. But who could have imagined the deadly danger lurking behind this beauty? The nebula continued its slow rotation, but at its center, a bottomless black hole was rapidly expanding, soon occupying half of the nebula. Logically, a black hole with such a powerful devouring force should continue to expand, but strangely, it didn't expand; instead, it transformed.

As if in a fairytale, countless scorching hot meteorites shot out from the enormous black hole, crashing into Hark's ultimate defense. These rocks were enormous, averaging the size of a human fist. This was the first wave of attacks, perhaps the smallest; who knows what the later waves might be? Archmage Hark was no ordinary man. Even before the black cloud appeared, he had already set up eighteen layers of barriers, with the innermost layer being the ultimate defense—the final barrier. It seemed these extraterrestrial meteorites wouldn't be able to defeat him.

The first wave of attack arrived; the meteorites, carrying a scorching heat like a shower of stars, crashed into the barriers. After breaking through both the water and earth elemental barriers, the meteorites finally shattered into ordinary pieces and fell to the ground. Was it all over? Of course not. Even Archmage Hark believed this composite magic was extraordinary. And who knew that a second wave of attack was brewing within the black hole?

Not long after the first attack, the enormous black hole began to slowly rotate. This subtle change took even us two observers a while to notice. Like a cough, the second wave of attack officially began as the black hole began to inhale and exhale.

Then, meteorites, each about half a meter in diameter and trailing clusters of red flames, emerged from the black hole. They left faint traces in the air as they hurtled towards the barrier set up by Hark. As if charging into an uninhabited land, the red meteorites broke through seven layers of the barrier before stopping at the tenth, losing their effectiveness. Our Archmage Hark, after the repeated resistance, felt a tightness in his chest, a discomfort that was truly unbearable to suppress.
