Rebirth of Cihang Jingzhai through Fragrance [Complete] - 1

The first chapter is hilarious

! He died again. I don't know what the author was thinking. Does hitting a wall, getting struck by lightning, or falling into a toilet really send the protagonist to another world or back to the past? If that's the case, then who knows how many brothers would die in ancient times or another world every day? A chubby, student-looking guy was muttering to himself as he read the beginning of a novel on his computer. Why do I say he was a student ?

Just look at his thick glasses, his slightly bluish lips, the nascent soft mustache, and his youthful face—he looked about 18 or 19.

"Damn, Boss Huang is amazing! Look at this book!" The chubby guy picked up a book from beside the computer. If you looked at the cover, you'd see the title: "The Legend of the Twin Dragons of the Tang Dynasty." He slammed the book down on the desk, but unfortunately, he knocked the keyboard to the floor. With a bang, the keyboard shattered.

The guy froze for a moment, then screamed, "God, what happened?! Do you want me to die?! I just got a new keyboard! My allowance! My wallet is going to bleed again!" He squatted down, holding the irreparably damaged keyboard.

"Ah! Oh my god!" "How could this happen? I don't want to end up like those gang leaders, electrocuted and transported to some other world or timeline! God, have mercy…" The voice abruptly stopped. Besides the still-sparkling keyboard, the only other thing in the room was a charred, human-shaped corpse.

It turned out that our chubby classmate hadn't noticed the keyboard was leaking electricity when he picked it up. The result? A gang leader who could have been a future big shot had been electrocuted and turned into that unsightly charred corpse on the ground.

The next day, a short news item reported this incident in a corner of a gossip magazine. The reporter who published it was probably a novice. He wrote at the end: "We urge teenagers addicted to the internet to be careful. This incident shows that the internet is not safe." "I don't know what this person was thinking. It seems our protagonist's death has nothing to do with the internet. If we have to say something, we can only say that the protagonist shouldn't have gotten so excited that he smashed the book, resulting in his own demise. (So, the author hereby reminds readers of this book not to get so excited that they smash things! Otherwise, you won't have the author's protection like the protagonist, and you won't have any scandalous encounters!) Since Pangu separated heaven and earth, gods and demons roamed the land, marking the beginning of the mythological era. During that time, heroes emerged, and great gods who were celebrated by later generations appeared, such as Kuafu, Houyi, Nuwa, and the Nine Heavens Mystic Maiden. At that time, the gods were focused on cultivation, attempting to reach the realm of their father, Pangu. Thus, various divine techniques were created by the geniuses of the Yellow River region. It can be said that that period was the most glorious in the eastern Yellow River basin." During this period,

however, to the disappointment of the gods, millions of years passed, and still no great god could reach the divine power and realm of their father, Pangu. Gradually, some gods ceased pursuing what they considered an illusory realm, turning their attention to humanity on earth.

In the eyes of these great gods, the fragile bodies of newly born humans were insignificant compared to their innate immense divine power and ability to manipulate nature. Therefore, they used their divine powers before humanity in its primitive age. Humans, envious of their ability to effortlessly slay ferocious beasts and move mountains and seas, regarded these gods as the protectors of their tribes and worshipped them.

Some great gods passed on their developed divine techniques to the weak humans, naturally the most equitable... Humans, though lacking innate supernatural powers, were born with the potential for cultivation.

Over thousands of years, many powerful beings emerged among humanity, some possessing strength comparable to gods, and they called themselves immortals.

With these powers, humanity's inherent weaknesses surfaced, leading to constant conflict and the formation of two opposing factions. As the conflict escalated, many gods became involved, resulting in the legendary war between the Yellow Emperor and Chi You. Even

many previously uninvolved gods were forced to intervene. This century-long war of the gods ended with the Yellow Emperor's victory.

Perhaps none of the gods could have foreseen that this very war would usher in the twilight of the divine race. An ancient struggle between the water god and the fire god led to the... The most powerful beings perished, and Nuwa, having exhausted her divine power mending the heavens, died at Mount Huashen. Countless gods and humans perished in battle, while human cultivators rose to prominence, becoming the masters of the earth.

The gods, their power greatly diminished, left Earth; some explored outer space, while others retreated to the spatial rifts created during the great war, leading to a flourishing of immortality.

In the following millennia, for some reason, the immortals collectively migrated to a vast space—the later Immortal Realm. However, there was no organization to manage them. The immortals traveled between the mortal and immortal realms, and many brought those without supernatural powers to the Immortal Realm, leaving behind many legends.

Some immortals also intervened in human conflicts, and under the guidance of the Primordial Celestial Venerable, they used the Shang Dynasty as a pretext... During the transition of dynasties, the celestial realm was reorganized, the Investiture of the Gods was held, the five directions of heaven and earth were established, and all immortals were assigned their duties. With this, heaven and earth were stabilized, and the four realms of gods, demons, monsters, and the underworld were formed.

Although the immortals ascended to the celestial realm, many left behind their lineages, leading to a proliferation of Taoist cultivators in the mortal world. They disregarded worldly affairs, focusing solely on the pursuit of the Dao, making the Heavenly Dao their lifelong goal.

After Qin Shi Huang unified the world, to consolidate his rule, he ordered the burning of books and burying of scholars alive. In reality, Qin Shi Huang wanted to achieve immortality himself, so he ordered his three thousand sorcerers to seize the secret manuals and treasures of various sects. He then ordered them to build his mausoleum to house the looted treasures. It can be said that Qin Shi Huang's plan was half successful; in this upheaval, ninety percent of the sects in the mortal realm and the Taoist world perished. Only a very few sects survived, but they also lost many of their secret manuals and treasures. From then on, very few cultivators in the mortal realm could achieve immortality.

What the Qin Emperor didn't expect was that on his way back to Xianyang from his secret treasure vault, he was assassinated by two reclusive masters. A fierce battle ensued, and all the hundreds of sorcerers accompanying him perished in the battle with the two masters. Surprisingly, the Qin Emperor himself was a peerless master, his supernatural powers only slightly weaker than those of ordinary gods, making him virtually invincible in the mortal realm.

No wonder he dared to be so arrogant, ordering the Qin army to disrespect heaven and earth and ghosts and gods. But these two masters were not to be trifled with, and in the end, all three perished together. The emperor returned to the earth, and with the death of the Qin Emperor… The whereabouts of Qin Shi Huang's treasure remained unknown. However, everyone knew that whoever obtained the treasure could ascend to the celestial realm, leading countless cultivators to search for it for millennia.

Chapter Two: The Chaos of Immortality.

The decline of cultivation was foreseeable. The remaining sects were all long-established lineages, mostly descended from the divine cultivation tradition. They sought not the immortal path but the Heavenly Dao, thus using the chaos to seal off their mountains in quiet cultivation, hoping to glimpse the Heavenly Dao through their arduous practice. Over generations, through research and improvement, the preserved cultivation methods were summarized into techniques most suitable for human cultivation. These techniques were passed down and, through further development, became the widely circulated internal energy cultivation methods. Among them, the most famous is the renowned "Four Great Divine Skills," one of the most famous in the world... The four extraordinary books , *The Heavenly Demon Strategy*, *The Heart Sword*, *The War God's Record*, and *The Heaven-Mending Technique*,

are remarkable because they are the four most complete cultivation methods preserved throughout history. If one can fully comprehend the mysteries within, one can shatter the void and attain enlightenment. This is because they all begin with the cultivation of the physical body; if one attains enlightenment, it means physical ascension, making one a powerful figure even in the immortal realm.

*The Heavenly Demon Strategy* is the treasure of the Demonic Sect, a sect composed of disciples of the ancient Mohist School, and cannot be taught to those outside the Demonic Sect. *The Heart Sword* is the cultivation method of the ancient Xuanmen Cihang Jingzhai. *The Heaven-Mending Technique* is a cultivation method passed down through the Daoist lineage, always held by the Heaven-Mending Pavilion, the representative of Daoism in Central China, and a major force in China's resistance against foreign invasions.

The *War God's Record* is the most mysterious of these four extraordinary books. It cannot be considered a book; legend has it that it was a magical artifact created by the Yellow Emperor during his ascension, containing all his knowledge, woven into forty-nine murals. Even the Yellow Emperor's state of mind when he shattered the void can be sensed in the last mural. It is not something anyone can possess; everything depends on fate.

Besides these four extraordinary books, some other cultivation texts have survived, though many are incomplete. Some of these texts are held by sects, while others are preserved by families, thus forming aristocratic clans.

As time passed, although the legends of immortals continued, no one was ever heard of ascending to heaven again. Gradually, people regarded them merely as legends.

Meanwhile, martial arts practitioners who emerged at the end of the Sui Dynasty, deeply believing in the Dao of Heaven through their practice of wondrous Chinese martial arts, pursued the Dao through martial arts, seeking to reach the state of shattering the void. For millennia, Chinese martial arts and Daoist practices have been passed down through generations on the land of China. However, they gradually faded into the shadows, rarely known to the world.

"Your Majesty, you go first. I'll hold them off for a while. I never imagined the Jade Emperor would be so despicable, actually joining forces with that bald-headed Buddha. What's even more hateful is that the Jade Sword Fairy actually revealed Your Majesty's weakness to that villain, preventing you from fully unleashing your divine powers. Otherwise, how could those two be a match for Your Majesty?" Amidst the rolling white clouds, a young man dressed as a general supported a middle-aged man in a purple robe. The middle-aged man had a handsome face, though etched with the marks of time and weariness. Even so, his seemingly innate noble bearing constantly reminded people of his extraordinary status.

The middle-aged man, addressed as Emperor, stood up and said, "Qingyi, you've been with me for many years now. Alas, I never imagined that I, a supreme being, would fall to such a state. You should leave quickly before they catch up; they want to kill me..."

"Emperor, please don't say anymore. Qingyi will not abandon you. You raised me since I was a child, and in my heart, you are like my father. Now that a formidable enemy is at hand, how can you let me leave? You should hide for a while before they find us. I will hold them off for a while."

"No, I will not run away. As the number one expert in the Three Realms, how could I hide like a tortoise? Don't mention this again," the Purple-Clad Emperor said with great authority. "But..." The Green-Clad Man wanted to say something, but was grabbed by the Purple-Clad Man and his primordial spirit was sealed. The Purple-Clad Man looked at the disbelieving Green-Clad Man and laughed, "Foolish child, even if I am incompetent, I still have this much ability. I have temporarily sealed your primordial spirit. Now I will send you to the mortal realm. I believe that with your abilities, as long as you are careful, you will not be discovered by them. As for me, I cannot back down." Moreover, my supernatural powers are now nearing perfection. Just one more step and I can reach the level of the Great God Pangu. Although I've only recovered 60% of my power, I still have the ability to fight them. "Foolish child, from now on, you're on your own. Remember, if you hear of my misfortune, never seek revenge for me, for you are no match for them." After saying this, the purple-robed man looked deeply at the tear-streaked green-robed man, then with a wave of his hand, he placed a seal on the green-robed man, concealing his aura. The green-robed man then plummeted towards the mortal realm.

After the green-robed man disappeared into the sea of clouds, the purple-robed man straightened his clothes, stood with his hands behind his back on the cloud peak, and quietly watched the sea of clouds.

Suddenly, rays of light emanated from the depths of the white clouds, accompanied by the sound of chanting. Meanwhile, the sound of war drums grew closer. When the two groups reached the purple-robed man's vicinity, the chanting and the war drums suddenly stopped. The purple-robed man turned around to look at the approaching Buddha and Jade Emperor. The purple-robed man glanced at Buddha and said to the Jade Emperor, "Jade Emperor, I don't know why you and the bald man are targeting me. I have never wronged you."

"To be honest, Your Majesty, I didn't want to deal with you either, but you are the number one expert in the Three Realms. No matter what you think, you are still a threat to us, aren't you?"

"Amitabha, Venerable Xiaoyao, as an emperor, haven't you heard of the saying 'too much merit overshadows one's lord'? Moreover, as an immortal, you have violated heavenly rules by seducing the Jade Sword Fairy..."

"Enough! You old bald man, if you want to accuse me, you can always find a pretext. I have no grand ambitions, no interest in becoming king or conqueror, yet I still find myself framed by you. Now I have nothing more to say. The victor is king, the loser is villain. Come on, I want to see what progress you've made over the years."

After speaking, the purple-robed man released the Misty Rain Sword hidden within his body. The Jade Emperor and Buddha immediately released their most powerful protective magic weapons to resist, the Misty Rain Sword's chilling aura...

The purple-robed man took the Misty Rain Sword in his hand and unleashed a powerful strike at Tathagata. Though the swordplay was simple, this single move instilled a deep-seated fear in Tathagata. At their level, even simple techniques flowed effortlessly, as if executed with the power of nature itself. Tathagata, recognizing its power, quickly clasped his hands together and cried out, "The Buddha's Dharma is boundless!" A beam of light shot from Tathagata's hands, striking the incoming Misty Rain Sword. The sword's momentum was halted, forcing the purple-robed man to redirect his attack, parrying the Jade Emperor's Jade Shield. However, the attack caused ripples in Tathagata's Buddhist light, indicating that his cultivation was still somewhat inferior to that of the Carefree Celestial Venerable. He

silently chanted Amitabha, and seeing the Jade Emperor and the Carefree Celestial Venerable locked in combat, he quickly joined the fray. The three fought a fierce battle, escalating from the Thirty-Third Heaven to the Southern Gate of the Eighteenth Heaven.

Unbeknownst to them, the three had been fighting for three days and three nights. The Carefree Celestial felt he had exhausted all his magical power, only managing to fight the two gods with sheer willpower. Meanwhile, the Jade Emperor and Buddha were also nearing their end, but since they were fighting together, and their strength was comparable to the Carefree Celestial who hadn't fully recovered his powers, the Carefree Celestial gradually fell into a disadvantageous position. His hair was disheveled, and his python robe was torn in many places.

Just as the Carefree Celestial was too weak to continue fighting, a voice called out from afar, "Your Majesty!" The Carefree Celestial was momentarily distracted and struck in the chest by Buddha and the Jade Emperor. He coughed up blood and flew several meters backward, only to be caught in the arms of the Jade Sword Fairy who rushed over.

Chapter Three: Martial Arts.

Lying in the arms of the Jade Sword Fairy, the Carefree Celestial Venerable forced a weak smile and said, "You... how did you get here?" The Jade Sword Fairy looked at the man who had collapsed weakly in her arms. He used to be so strong; in her memory, nothing seemed to be able to defeat him. But today, he was so fragile, as if a gust of wind could blow him away.

The Jade Sword Fairy could no longer hold back and hugged the Carefree Celestial Venerable, who was coughing up blood, saying, "I'm sorry, Carefree, it was all my fault for accidentally revealing the flaws in your cultivation technique. Otherwise, you wouldn't have ended up like this today. It's all my fault."

The Carefree Celestial Venerable said, "Fool, why are you crying? I've never blamed you. Blame Heaven. Heaven didn't want a second Pangu to appear, so it had to eliminate me. So don't be sad. My divine will has been broken, and in a little while, I will vanish into nothingness. Don't speak; just let me die in your arms." "Carefree..." The Jade Sword Fairy sobbed uncontrollably, holding the Carefree Celestial Venerable's gradually disappearing body and spirit as she watched the Jade Emperor and Tathagata depart.

Just as Buddha and the Jade Emperor had flown a short distance, they heard a mournful cry from behind: "Xiaoyao..." The sound was like the mournful cry of a cuckoo. Buddha and the Jade Emperor turned and saw a scene they would never forget: the Jade Sword Fairy, bathed in sunlight, stood there, her hands draped in a purple robe, her once black hair now turned snow-white. A sorrowful aura made her exquisite face appear utterly desolate.

Upon seeing this, the Jade Emperor and Buddha knew that Xiaoyao Tianzun had vanished from the world. They disregarded the Jade Sword Fairy's grief and hurriedly flew back to their own abode to heal their wounds. After all, Xiaoyao Tianzun was no ordinary person, and both of them had suffered injuries of varying degrees.

Not to mention that the Jade Sword Fairy's hair instantly turned white, and after standing there for a long time, she took Xiaoyao Tianzun's belongings and went into seclusion. From that moment on, the most beautiful woman in the Three Realms disappeared from everyone's sight.

Let's look back at the Carefree Celestial Venerable, but the Carefree Celestial Venerable of today is no longer the same. Just as his primordial spirit was about to dissipate, the Carefree Celestial Venerable let go of everything, his heart filled with peace, devoid of love or hate, calmly welcoming his passing. But the world is so wondrous; just when people have given up hope, it often brings surprises.

The Carefree Celestial Venerable only felt that the realm he had been unable to break through had broken through in that instant. Unfortunately, his physical body had already turned to ashes in the world; otherwise, with that instant of enlightenment, he could have repaired his physical body and become the first person in history to reach the realm of the Great God Pangu. At this moment, the Carefree Celestial Venerable only felt his primordial spirit gradually recovering and breaking through his original realm.

With only the primordial spirit and no physical body, he could not use all his supernatural powers. However, he could not use the method of possession to forcibly take over a physical body like an ordinary immortal, because with the current strength of his primordial spirit, the physical body would probably shatter before he could fully merge with the powerful primordial spirit. After much deliberation, he realized that his only option was to reincarnate and rely on the powerful cosmic force, using the wonders of the Six Paths of Reincarnation to reshape his physical body. He reasoned that with the strength of his original spirit, the erosive power of the Six Paths' reincarnation vortex would allow him to preserve his memories and possess a powerful divine consciousness after birth. He even thought he could choose which family he would be reborn into, like Nezha.

Thinking this, the Carefree Celestial Venerable condensed his original spirit, gathering it into a single mass. The degree of condensation was so great that the originally formless spirit gradually began to take on a vague, indistinct form. The Carefree Celestial Venerable glanced deeply at the jade sword clutching his clothes, then steeled his heart and descended to the mortal realm.

Even the Buddha and the Jade Emperor present were surprised that the Carefree Celestial Venerable had not only not dissipated his original spirit but had even cultivated it to the Great Perfection realm. Throughout history, the Primordial Spirit has been shrouded in mystery. No one knows that it can survive outside the physical body; it can be considered the essence of a person's being. It differs from the Nascent Soul consciousness of immortals, because the Nascent Soul consciousness is a combination of consciousness and energy, while the Primordial Spirit is simply pure consciousness. Therefore, even a great supernatural being like Buddha, who specialized in cultivating consciousness, could not sense the Primordial Spirit of the Carefree Celestial Venerable. He only sensed the Carefree Celestial Venerable's passing, thus confirming his demise.

Meanwhile, in the lower realm, it was the reign of Emperor Zhenzong of Song, Zhao Heng. Emperor Zhenzong succeeded his father Zhao Guangyi and his uncle Zhao Kuangyin as the third emperor of the Song Dynasty. Although the Song Dynasty was prosperous domestically, its borders were constantly threatened by the Liao Dynasty, leading to continuous border wars. At the same time, numerous small states existed in the surrounding area, such as Tibet, Dali, and Western Xia, which sometimes allied with the Song Dynasty and sometimes with the Liao Dynasty. It was a time of continuous warfare and countless deaths.

The court was rife with treacherous officials. If it weren't for the presence of Prime Minister Kou Zhun within the court and the Yang family of Tianbo Mansion guarding the borders without, the Song Dynasty would likely not have been so stable.

Since ancient times, the martial arts world has been rife with conflict, seemingly a daily spectacle of bloody struggles for fame and fortune. Numerous sects exist, and the current martial arts world is teeming with masters. The most famous are four masters surpassing the Heavenly level. Legend has it that the youngest of the four is only in his thirties, while the others are over sixty. For the past thirty years, apart from the rise of the Sword Saint, no one has seen the other three in action, yet no one doubts their strength.

The four are Dao Ancestor Yu Qingzi, who cultivates the "Mending Heaven Technique" from the Four Great Classical Novels, possessing extraordinary abilities comparable to a first-rate Earth Immortal. He is only one step away from comprehending the universe and transcending the void. Lu Qingyi, a swordsman who entered the ranks of top-tier masters in his thirties, was considered a god in the hearts of all young people. Three years ago, he suddenly appeared in Hangzhou, Jiangnan, and because he couldn't stand the Liao people's atrocities against innocent people on Song territory, he taught a lesson to Yelü Qingfeng, a Liao envoy who happened to be on a mission to the Song Dynasty. This incurred the revenge of Yelü Hong, a second-rank top-tier master from Liao, and the two agreed to fight at Huichan Temple near Baihe Peak on Daci Mountain.

The incident spread throughout the land, and Mengdao Fu Qianqiu, who was already a first-rank top-tier master at the time, went to watch the fight. Many martial arts masters from Jiangnan also went to watch, which led to the legendary "Qingyi's Ruthless Sword - Three Swords Break the Universe.

" As for the Demonic Sect, which had been fighting with the Taoists for thousands of years, it was naturally not without top-tier masters. Feng Wuji, the first Holy Venerable of the Demonic Sect, was no less skilled than the Taoist Ancestor. He mastered all eighteen volumes of the "Heavenly Demon Manual" with his exceptional talent. He became the third person in the Demonic Sect to reach the Great Demon God realm, following the Great Demon God Chi You and the first Holy Emperor of the Demonic Sect.

Dao Ancestor Yu Qingzi, Sword Saint Lu Qingyi, Holy Venerable Feng Wuji, and Dream Blade Fu Qianqiu are renowned in the martial arts world for their transcendence of the Heavenly Dao level.

Of course, this doesn't mean there are no other masters besides these four. The world is vast, and no one can say for sure how many extraordinary individuals there are. At least one mysterious sect known to all martial artists—Cihang Jingzhai—possesses at least one person comparable to the four Heavenly Dao masters.

As a sect with a thousand-year history, Cihang Jingzhai has always been an adversary of the Demonic Sect. Since their struggle against the Demonic Sect's leader, Qin Shi Huang, a thousand years ago, Cihang Jingzhai never expected the Demonic Sect to extend its reach into the royal family. As a result, the Demonic Sect's power grew, forcing Cihang Jingzhai to close its doors for a century. Only later, by secretly supporting Liu Bang, did they win the struggle against Xiang Yu, who was supported by the Demonic Sect. After Ying Zheng became emperor, he persecuted the disciples of the Demonic Sect, causing the sect to support others. This led to the story of Xiang Yu, another leader of the Demonic Sect, overthrowing the Qin Dynasty and vying for power with Liu Bang. However, due to the significant decline of Cihang Jingzhai's influence during Ying Zheng's reign, Liu Bang was initially at a disadvantage in his struggle against Xiang Yu. To counter this, Cihang Jingzhai sent its most outstanding disciple, disguised as Yu Ji, to sow discord between Xiang Yu and his subordinates. As a result, even brilliant strategists like Han Xin left Xiang Yu. Simultaneously, Cihang Jingzhai received assistance from the Guigu School, sending its disciple Zhang Liang to help Liu Bang achieve his goal. Finally, Xiang Yu committed suicide at the Wujiang River, and Yu Ji escaped by feigning death. For a long time, the Demonic Sect and Cihang Jingzhai were locked in a continuous struggle. This conflict continued into the Song Dynasty. Currently, the Song Dynasty is supported by righteous individuals, represented by Cihang Jingzhai, while the Demonic Sect has infiltrated the Liao Dynasty's royal court. Empress Xiao of Liao was an elder of the Yin Gui branch of the Demonic Sect. The Song-Liao conflict thus became a struggle between Cihang Jingzhai and the Demonic Sect.

Chapter Four describes how Cihang Jingzhai's

Heavenly Rank masters are divided into several levels, with three grades, the highest being the Upper Heavenly Rank. Below the Heavenly Rank are Earthly Rank and Human Rank. The Middle Earthly Rank already places them among the Innate Realm masters, equivalent to the Qi Gathering stage of a Daoist cultivator. The Upper Earthly Rank possesses destructive power comparable to a Daoist cultivator in the Nascent Soul stage.

However, martial artists cultivate the physical body but not the spiritual realm, and lacking cultivation techniques, they cannot unleash spells like Daoists. Martial artists' cultivation seems to be a branch of spiritual cultivation, focusing solely on the physical body. Therefore, an Earthly Rank master can fight a Nascent Soul stage master to a standstill without using spells. However

, those who surpass the Heavenly Rank possess earth-shattering power, capable of splitting mountains and shattering rocks with a wave of their hand. They can leap over a hundred feet in a single bound. In close combat, even immortals would be no match for them, as Heavenly Rank masters emphasize merging with heaven and earth, utilizing the power of nature. Therefore, those martial arts practitioners might not realize that the Heavenly Dao pursued by Heavenly Rank masters is the same Heavenly Dao pursued by the gods in the past, the era of the gods—to become an existence surpassing immortals simply by breaking through the void. However, how many throughout history have truly reached such a level?

Ye Xin, the current head of Cihang Jingzhai, is known in the martial arts world as the Jade Fairy. Ye Xin began studying the *Heart Sword* under her master at the age of four and entered the lower Heavenly Rank at fifteen, becoming the first prodigy since the sect's founding patriarch to reach the Heavenly Rank before the age of eighteen. Her master even predicted that Ye Xin would be the first disciple since the patriarch to have a chance of breaking through the void. Thus, the sect devoted all its resources to helping her cultivate the more profound mental techniques within the *Heart Sword*. Ye Xin did not disappoint; at the age of twenty-three, she finally stepped into a realm surpassing the upper Heavenly Rank, just one step away from breaking through the void. However, although she was so close to that true Heavenly Dao, only those who reached Ye Xin's level could truly understand how difficult it was to take that seemingly simple step. He is like a mirage, seemingly so close yet unattainable. Throughout history, countless extraordinary individuals have been stopped short of this hurdle.

On September 9th, the Cihang Jingzhai, nestled deep in the mountains, was unusually lively, a departure from its usual tranquility. Many disciples who performed their daily prayers were told to cease their practice. This was because today marked the day Ye Xin officially became the twenty-eighth abbot of Cihang Jingzhai.

Within Tianyi Liangzhai, a hundred or so disciples gathered in a lush bamboo grove. A clearing of about five or six acres had been cleared in the center, upon which stood several simple, elegant bamboo houses, seemingly an integral part of the vibrant bamboo forest. This demonstrated that the builders of these bamboo houses had reached a level of mastery over nature, integrating with and even transforming local features. Such skill alone was comparable to that of the four grandmaster-level experts.

When a clear bell rang, the somewhat noisy bamboo grove immediately quieted down. The hundred or so female disciples gazed at Ye Xin, standing atop a bamboo house, dressed in simple white linen. Her beauty was otherworldly, and she stood against the wind, like a deity descending to earth. Even these female disciples, renowned for their spiritual cultivation, were captivated by Ye Xin's unparalleled elegance. To describe her beauty as graceful as a startled swan would be no exaggeration.

Ye Xin's master, Ning Keyu, the current head of Jingzhai, coughed lightly. The disciples felt as if a thunderclap had exploded in their ears, jolting them from their reverie of Ye Xin's graceful figure. They realized their minds had been clouded and hurriedly recited calming mantras to quell their turbulent thoughts, lest their cultivation levels plummet.

Ning Keyu saw her disciples stabilizing their cultivation, with some even breaking through their bottlenecks and entering higher levels of martial arts. Thinking of how her disciples had surpassed her and would succeed her as head of Jingzhai, a smile involuntarily appeared on her face. The disciples had never seen their head of the sect smile before, and were almost captivated by her beautiful smile. Fortunately, they had learned from past mistakes, and after a brief moment of surprise, they all recovered.

"Disciples," Ning Keyu said, "I have gathered you all here today to announce a very important matter. As you may all know, your senior sister's cultivation has surpassed mine, making her the strongest in our sect. Furthermore, I have led the Jingzhai sect for nearly twenty years. Since taking over the leadership from the previous sect leader, I have devoted myself wholeheartedly to managing its affairs. Fortunately, with the support of several elders, we have avoided any major incidents. Today, I will pass the position of sect leader to Ye Xin. I hope that all of you will lead the Jingzhai sect to greater heights under the new leader's guidance." Ning Keyu turned to Ye Xin, who was standing behind her, and said, "Xin'er, come here."

Ye Xin stepped forward and stood before Ning Keyu.

Ning Keyu nodded to the elders standing to the side and said to Ye Xin, "Disciple Ye Xin of Jingzhai, kneel down to receive the sect leader's token."

Upon hearing this, Ye Xin knelt down. Ning Keyu took a few steps back, removed the phoenix-shaped jade pendant from her waist, and handed it to the approaching elder. A middle-aged woman of about twenty gently accepted the pendant and walked to Ye Xin, who was kneeling on the ground. She said, "From this day forward, Ye Xin, a disciple of Jingzhai, is the twenty-eighth head of Jingzhai. From now on, you must prioritize the interests of Jingzhai and shoulder the heavy responsibility of fighting against the Demonic Sect."

"Disciple understands," Ye Xin replied, accepting the pendant and fastening it to her waist. Standing up, Ye Xin knelt before Ning Keyu, saying, "Disciple thanks Master for your years of guidance." Ning Keyu accepted the bow with peace of mind. Although Ye Xin now possessed the head's token, she had not yet accepted the kowtows of other disciples. Therefore, Ye Xin's kowtow was merely in her capacity as a disciple and did not violate etiquette. Ning Keyu helped her up and gently patted her shoulder. Then, she took a few steps back and knelt on the ground with several elders, saying in unison, "Greetings, Head of the Sect!" The other disciples also simultaneously knelt down to pay their respects to the new head of the sect. Ye Xin accepted the bow and then told everyone to rise. [Disciples of Cihang Jingzhai never kneel before anyone except their own masters; they neither kneel to heaven nor to earth. The only time they collectively pay homage to the new head of the sect is when the head changes. Normally, they merely nod when they see the head.] After everyone rose, Ye Xin officially became the twenty-eighth head of Cihang Jingzhai. She then dismissed everyone, and the disciples left the bamboo forest in twos and threes.

Ning Keyu, who had stepped down, became an elder and entered the bamboo building with the other elders. Soon, only Ye Xin remained in the bamboo forest. Although she was over twenty years old, since she entered the Innate Realm at fifteen, her appearance would remain forever as it was when she entered the Innate Realm, unless her cultivation dissipated. Although she was only fifteen years old at the time, as the eldest disciple of the sect leader, the education she received from childhood made her not at all immature. Well-read, she did not seem like a peerless master, but rather like an elegant lady from a noble family. Coupled with her celestial appearance, especially her clear and unworldly eyes, and the white dress that concealed her body formed from the spiritual energy of heaven and earth, it was precisely this that made her otherworldly temperament stand out even more.

Chapter Five: A Fortuitous Encounter

At this moment, the Primordial Spirit of the Carefree Celestial Venerable was struggling within the whirlwind of the Six Paths of Reincarnation. The power of nature is boundless. The Carefree Celestial Venerable, with his Primordial Spirit having reached the Great Perfection realm, resisted the corrosive force of the reincarnation whirlwind, yet he felt his divine consciousness being peeled away layer by layer. The Carefree Celestial Venerable enveloped his divine consciousness within his Primordial Spirit; only in this way could he retain his memories after reincarnation. Only in this way could he ensure he wouldn't fall into reincarnation and forget his past. Moreover, only by preserving his complete divine consciousness could he better cultivate after reincarnation, even disregarding the most crucial factor limiting cultivation advancement—the so-called Great Perfection realm. In this way, as long as he could maintain the integrity of his divine consciousness, his cultivation would be a hundred times faster than others. Perhaps in less than a hundred years, he could reach his ten-thousand-year cultivation level, or even surpass it.

Of course, these were merely the thoughts of the Carefree Celestial Venerable. Just as he was now, he hadn't anticipated that the power of reincarnation was so strong. Even with his most powerful primordial spirit in the world, he couldn't withstand its erosion. Seeing his primordial spirit growing weaker and weaker, his divine consciousness about to be exposed, the Carefree Celestial Venerable sadly thought that he would still perish from the world. Just as he was about to give up, suddenly the pressure vanished. A radiant object appeared before him. The power of reincarnation seemed powerless against that radiance. The Carefree Celestial Venerable's weakened primordial spirit dared not linger any longer and hurriedly threw his severely damaged primordial spirit into that radiance.

Upon entering the ball of light, the Carefree Celestial Venerable was astonished to find a tiny Primordial Spirit within. This Primordial Spirit appeared extremely weak, yet the radiance emanating from it posed a threat to the Carefree Celestial Venerable. It seemed the closer he got to the light, the more his Primordial Spirit was drawn to it, almost merging into it. The Carefree Celestial Venerable was naturally alarmed; he hadn't expected to fall into such a bizarre place after escaping danger.

He carefully examined the seemingly sleeping Primordial Spirit and discovered it was a chubby little creature. Because it was a Primordial Spirit, its features were not clearly visible. Seeing that the Primordial Spirit didn't react, the Carefree Celestial Venerable began to recover his own Primordial Spirit. What he saw next shocked him greatly. He hadn't expected to suffer such severe damage. The power of reincarnation truly lived up to its reputation as the most dangerous force in the Three Realms; even his powerful Primordial Spirit had been destroyed to the point of near complete dissipation.

The Carefree Celestial looked at his own condition with disappointment. He could no longer reincarnate; his weakened primordial spirit could no longer withstand the power of reincarnation. In other words, he couldn't be reborn through the reincarnation tunnel. At this moment, the Carefree Celestial, who had once held boundless hope, seemed to have lost his purpose in life, standing there blankly.

As for the sleeping primordial spirit, you've probably already guessed it—it's our chubby classmate. The moment he was electrocuted, he was thrown into the reincarnation tunnel. Without a miracle, a soul like his would have its consciousness scattered by the power of reincarnation the instant it entered the tunnel, becoming a consciousnessless being entering reincarnation to begin another life.

However, our friend, who desperately didn't want this to happen, was fortunate enough to have his primordial spirit strangely strengthened by the electricity that had turned him to charcoal. A bizarre mutation occurred, and it began to emit a ball of light that protected the still-sleeping chubby classmate.

"Huh! What's wrong with me? I'm not..." The primordial spirit woke up and first noticed its situation, then realized that it seemed to be dead, and extremely unwilling to die. "Could this be the underworld? But how come I'm in a ball of light?" The chubby classmate murmured, looking at the ball of light surrounding it.

Suddenly, the carefree Celestial Venerable felt himself being pulled by a gravitational force to the side of that Primordial God. His own Primordial God gradually weakened, as if all the essence in his body was being transferred to that Primordial God. The carefree Celestial Venerable struggled several times but couldn't break free. Looking at the Primordial God who was staring at him with curiosity, the carefree Celestial Venerable instantly made a decision.

Our chubby classmate took a few steps in the ball of light when suddenly an object appeared beside him, and a force flowed into his body. He was surprised to find that the object was actually a person, and a very charming man at that. The man seemed to be looking at him, with an emotion in his eyes that he couldn't understand. He suddenly shivered. Heavens, could he have encountered a male-loving ghost after he died? A scream escaped his lips (it could be said that his current Primordial God body was still a person): "You... who are you? Tell me... what are you up to?" The chubby classmate hugged his hands like a little girl, looking at the man who was staring at him like a lecherous wolf, almost sticking to him.

The carefree Celestial Venerable was startled by the little fellow's scream. Looking at the little fellow's gaze, his heart, which had remained unmoved for millennia, stirred. He hadn't expected to encounter such an interesting little fellow before his disappearance. The Carefree Celestial Venerable felt his power fading; he knew his time was running out. So he said, "Little fellow, don't be surprised. I have something to tell you. Just listen; don't waste time. My time is running out. Understand?"

The student, seeing that the man didn't seem to be what he expected, nodded, but still looked at the smiling Carefree Celestial Venerable with suspicion. The Carefree Celestial Venerable had no time to dwell on such things, so he began to explain his identity and his predicament. The student stared, mouth agape, looking utterly shocked, before finally managing to stammer, "You...you say you're a god?"

The Carefree Celestial nodded and asked, "Little fellow, tell me your name. I have some matters to entrust to you."

Upholding the Chinese virtues of respecting the elderly and caring for the young, the chubby student replied, "My name is Ye Tianqi...that's it. I don't know why I came to this place." Ye Tianqi poured out his frustration.

The Carefree Celestial was even more frustrated. What was this all about? A mere mortal had unknowingly arrived here and possessed such strange abilities, while he, a supreme being of a realm, was on the verge of extinction. Perhaps this was fate; he couldn't escape this fate. In any case, he had enjoyed everything in his life except women, and had nothing left to cherish. He might as well grant this young man's wish.

After carefully examining the boy who called himself Ye Tianqi, aside from being a bit chubby (Wow, even in Genshin Impact he's chubby! What's going on with the author? I'm dizzy, I need to ask someone else, don't ask me, how would I know?), he was quite a handsome young man. If the Carefree Celestial Venerable knew that handsomeness existed in the mortal realm, then in his eyes, Ye Tianqi would be exceptionally dashing.

Seeing the middle-aged man who claimed to be a deity scrutinizing him after hearing his words, Ye Tianqi couldn't help but let his imagination run wild again. Just as Ye Tianqi was lost in thought, he heard the Carefree Celestial Venerable say, "Ye Tianqi, is that right? I have something to entrust to you now. If you agree, I will tell you how to leave this place."

Chapter Six: Finally Reincarnated.

Ye Tianqi looked at the cramped space. Of course, he hoped to gain freedom, but he didn't know what situation he was in. Seeing the Carefree Celestial Venerable say this, he quickly said, "Immortal Uncle, please tell me. As long as I can do it, I will definitely agree."

The Carefree Celestial Venerable was very happy to see Ye Tianqi's answer. Even if he disappeared like this, as long as the person in front of him could complete the task he was entrusted with, he would be free of any worries.

So he said, "We are currently in the Reincarnation Tunnel. Thanks to the protection of the light you emitted, we are temporarily safe. However, if we don't leave here, we will always be in danger."

Ye Tianqi quickly said, "Then let's leave quickly!" Hearing that even an immortal said it was a dangerous place, Ye Tianqi immediately replied.

"No need to rush. It seems the light emanating from you is quite good; it can protect us. Besides, I have something to entrust to you, and it won't take long. You just learned my identity, right? I was harmed by Buddha and the Jade Emperor. I can merge everything I have into your original spirit, so you can possess all my memories and experiences. I don't ask you to avenge me or anything like that. I only hope that after reincarnation, you can help me take care of Jade Sword Fairy and Lu Qingyi to the best of your ability. However, you might not even encounter them, so this isn't a problem for you. I wonder if you can agree?"

When Ye Tianqi heard the Carefree Celestial Venerable transfer his memories and experiences to him, based on the many fantasy novels he had read, it seemed like he had struck it lucky. Possessing the memories and experiences of a deity meant that he might also become a deity?

Just as he was indulging in his daydreams, he heard the Carefree Celestial Venerable ask him if he would agree. Without hesitation, he immediately replied, "I agree!" Where else could he find such a good deal? If he didn't agree, he would wonder if he had been electrocuted and gone mad.

The Carefree Celestial Venerable nodded upon hearing Ye Tianqi's words. Although he didn't know what kind of person Ye Tianqi was, he had no choice, as he felt he was nearing the end of his life. He said, "Boy, remember your promise." After saying this, the Carefree Celestial Venerable gave up resisting the attraction emanating from Ye Tianqi and actively merged with him. Ye Tianqi only saw the carefree Celestial Venerable fading further and further away, while his mind began to conjure up many scenes he had never experienced before: war scenes from the primordial era, the glorious status of the Celestial Realm… But the clearest image was a face as beautiful as a goddess. Combining this with the information he had received from the carefree Celestial Venerable, Ye Tianqi immediately knew that this woman who had stunned him at first sight was the Jade Sword Fairy, whom the carefree Celestial Venerable had instructed him to take care of if he had the chance. Next was the face of a handsome man, whom he also knew was Lu Qingyi, the carefree Celestial Venerable's only follower.

Finally, Ye Tianqi heard a voice in his mind shout, "Boy, remember your promise to me. Now I'll send you to be reincarnated…"

Ye Tianqi first felt as if his mind had exploded, countless pieces of information flooding into his brain, and then he fainted. However, before passing out, Ye Tianqi muttered, "Damn, I didn't expect to end up on that old-fashioned reincarnation path that many authors fantasize about."

Given the carefree Celestial Venerable's personality, he would naturally want to be reincarnated into a powerful female body. In the instant of his disappearance, the Carefree Celestial Venerable transferred all his life experiences and wisdom into Ye Tianqi's primordial spirit. He then used the last vestige of clear consciousness he had merged with Ye Tianqi's primordial spirit to drive the light surrounding Ye Tianqi's spirit through the cycle of reincarnation, following the powerful aura he sensed, and projecting it into the lower realm. In that instant, the Carefree Celestial Venerable's consciousness also merged into Ye Tianqi's mind. It could be said that the Carefree Celestial Venerable vanished from the Three Realms from that moment on.

Ye Xin happened to be standing in a mountain filled with spiritual energy, and given her unparalleled strength, she naturally caught the attention of the Carefree Celestial Venerable.

When Ye Tianqi's unconscious primordial spirit was projected towards Ye Xin, Ye Xin, having specialized in spiritual power, naturally sensed a strange aura entering her body with her near-demigod-like spiritual strength. She quickly circulated her vast internal energy to check, but found nothing and didn't pay much attention, dismissing it as her imagination. She then composed herself and returned to her quiet room to meditate as she did every day.

But when she entered a state of selflessness, merging herself with heaven and earth, she discovered that the spiritual energy of the world was surging into her body at an unprecedented speed. It was surging, not the kind of energy she usually needed to collect.

However, to her surprise, the immense spiritual energy entering her body didn't merge into her dantian; instead, it vanished without a trace. Based on her past experience in meditation, she hadn't been able to get up for at least three days, yet the surging spiritual energy showed no signs of slowing down, and her body seemed to be beyond her control.

When Ye Xin felt that half a month had passed, the surging spiritual energy suddenly stopped. It was as if she had regained control of her body in an instant.

Anyway, so many days had already passed, what difference would a little more make? Ye Xin quickly examined her internal body. She was surprised to find that her body seemed to have undergone a complete transformation; her bones were like beautiful jade, crystalline and radiant.

But what surprised her most was that there was a life force within her body. She quickly followed that life force and found that it originated from her uterus. Through her powerful divine sense, Ye Xin discovered that a small life had been growing in her uterus without her noticing.

How could this be? She was clearly a virgin, so why did she inexplicably have a baby in her body after just one meditation session?

Of course, what she didn't expect was that the culprit was none other than the Carefree Celestial Venerable. But now it should be Ye Tianqi. When Ye Tianqi entered Ye Xin's body, he was sucked into Ye Xin's uterus by a mysterious suction force.

When Ye Tianqi awoke from his coma, he was astonished to discover that the mother body chosen for him by the Carefree Celestial Venerable was a virgin. He felt a mixture of amusement and frustration. He wanted to leave, but he was reluctant to part with such an excellent mother body

. Moreover, since being absorbed into the womb, he felt as if he were bound within it, unable to leave. Left with no other choice, he had to use Ye Xin as his mother body. While Ye Xin was in meditation, Ye Tianqi unconsciously followed the information left by the Carefree Celestial Venerable within his primordial spirit, finding a way to use his powerful divine sense to communicate with nature and draw upon the spiritual energy of heaven and earth to reshape and regenerate himself.

It turned out that the Carefree Celestial Venerable, worried that Ye Tianqi wouldn't know how to create a new body, had explicitly sealed the method in Ye Tianqi's mind, along with his own life's experience. The Carefree Celestial Venerable knew that while Ye Tianqi's primordial spirit was stronger than ordinary people, it couldn't immediately fully integrate his vast amount of information. He hoped that through cultivation, Ye Tianqi could gradually unlock the seal and integrate his experience.

If one day Ye Tianqi could completely integrate the information within his original spirit, the Carefree Celestial Venerable believed that Ye Tianqi would become the true number one expert in the Three Realms. Of course, Ye Tianqi had found all of this within his own mind. He was extremely grateful to the Carefree Celestial Venerable, with whom he hadn't spent much time, knowing that without him, he wouldn't be waiting for rebirth in a woman's body as he was now.

Chapter Seven: The Fairy is Pregnant

. Thus, Ye Xin uncontrollably meditated for over half a month. During this time, Ye Tianqi, drawing upon the immense vitality and spiritual energy of heaven and earth, finally sculpted his perfect body. Although it was still in an infant state, it still filled him with immense excitement.

After completing all this, Ye Tianqi merged his exhausted divine sense into the infant's body. Instantly, the infant burst forth with powerful vitality, and Ye Tianqi felt a connection to this body, a bond of flesh and blood. After experiencing the feeling of being reborn, he fell into a deep sleep.

Meanwhile, many people outside had already been alerted. The elders inside the temple noticed the anomaly when Ye Xin gathered powerful spiritual energy. After the first day, the elders felt that the speed of spiritual energy gathering had not changed at all, so they all came to Ye Xin's meditation room.

They discovered that Ye Xin's whole body seemed to be bathed in white light. It turned out that this was a phenomenon caused by the gathered spiritual energy being unable to enter his body for the time being. Through the white light, the elders saw that Ye Xin's complexion was rosy, and impurities were being expelled from his body from time to time. He did not seem to have gone into qi deviation at all, but rather seemed to be undergoing a transformation.

They could not help him, but seeing the huge and dense spiritual energy around Ye Xin, they all sat down to meditate and practice. With their knowledge, they knew that under such a heaven-sent opportunity, the gains from a day of meditation would be no less than the results of a year of hard work.

The Grand Elder even specially summoned all the disciples in the temple, except those who were required to take turns guarding the mountain gate, to meditate outside the meditation room. In the past half month, the elders had made great progress, and several of them even finally broke through to the upper level of the Heaven Rank and entered a realm comparable to the four Grandmasters.

The disciples within the temple also gained much, collectively advancing their strength to a higher level. Half a month passed, and just as Ye Xin suddenly regained control of her body, she stopped absorbing spiritual energy. The spiritual energy abruptly dissipated, and the elders, knowing this unprecedented opportunity had passed, rose to await Ye Xin's awakening,

hoping she could answer their questions. The Grand Elder instructed the disciples who had reaped significant gains to return and properly digest their achievements. Only after the disciples dispersed did he return to the meditation room to await Ye Xin's awakening.

Therefore, when Ye Xin opened her eyes, she saw the elders and her master looking at her with concern. Ye Xin knew that after nearly half a month of sitting, these elders would naturally come to check on her.

Upon seeing Ye Xin awake, her master, Ning Keyu, stepped forward and asked, "Master, do you know what happened to your body? Why did such a vast and pure amount of heaven and earth energy suddenly gather around you in the past half month?"

Thinking of the young life within her, a bitter smile appeared on Ye Xin's usually serene and beautiful face, and she said nothing. She simply placed her delicate, jade-like hand in Ning Keyu's, indicating that she should take her pulse.

Ning Keyu didn't know Ye Xin's intention, but she still placed her hand on Ye Xin's pulse and carefully examined it. But in an instant, Ning Keyu's expression became extremely strange, seemingly incredulous yet also angry and disappointed. But then, as if she had thought of something, she suddenly rolled up Ye Xin's sleeve, revealing an arm more beautiful than jade, a spot of virginity-red like vermilion on the smooth, jade-like arm. It not only accentuated her elegance and nobility but also proclaimed to the world her purity and innocence.

When she saw that the bright red spot was still there, Ning Keyu breathed a sigh of relief. However, she looked at Ye Xin with doubt, as if asking if her guess was correct. Seeing her master looking at her with a doubtful expression, full of disbelief, Ye Xin still nodded.

Ye Xin could easily imagine the turmoil in her master's heart at that moment, just as when she herself suddenly discovered this matter, her heart, which had remained calm for over ten years, was suddenly stirred, and it took a long time to regain its composure.

The expressions on Ye Xin and Ning Keyu's faces, of course, did not escape the notice of the elders who were constantly watching them. Seeing the rich expressions on Ning Keyu's face, who could remain unmoved even when Mount Tai collapsed, the elders couldn't help but become curious about the changes in the two.

The First Elder broke the silence first, saying, "Junior Sister Ning, Abbot, what has caused you to lose your composure like this?"

"Senior Sister, you are knowledgeable; please take a look at this strange matter," Ye Xin said, making way for the First Elder to take Ye Xin's pulse. Although the First Elder was somewhat puzzled that the two hadn't answered him, he still placed his hand on Ye Xin's pulse.

To the First Elder's surprise, Ye Xin's pulse was clearly that of someone pregnant, what people called a "pregnancy pulse." The crimson mark on Ye Xin's fair and rosy skin told the Grand Elder that their mistress was indeed a virgin. Only then did the Grand Elder understand why Ning Keyu's expression had been so strange; he figured his own expression wouldn't be much better.

Seeing the almost identical facial expressions of the Grand Elder and Ning Keyu, the other elders stared at them with puzzled eyes. The Grand Elder exchanged a glance, then pointed to the crimson mark on Ye Xin's arm and said, "Regarding the mistress's virginity, does anyone have any objections?"

Although the elders didn't know why the Grand Elder brought up the mistress's virginity, they nodded. With their experienced eyesight, they could easily confirm that it was indeed a genuine mark, symbolizing a woman's chastity and purity; they wouldn't be mistaken.

Seeing the elders nod, the First Elder suddenly uttered something that made everyone feel as if they were listening to a fairy tale in a dream: "Don't you all think that my and Junior Sister Ning's expressions are very strange? [Several elders nodded in agreement] But what I have to say is that the Sect Leader is pregnant."

Seeing the elders' faces showing a variety of expressions after being shocked by his words, he continued, "Don't you find it hard to believe?" One of the elders, who did not have a direct disciple and was usually very kind to Ye Xin, said, "But, this... how is this possible?"

Seeing everyone's expressions, Ye Xin knew they couldn't explain why this had happened to them either. So she broke the argument, saying, "To be honest, I don't believe such a thing could happen to me, but the facts clearly remind me that it's all true."

The Grand Elder thought for a moment, calmed himself, and asked, "Master, could you tell me when you discovered this?"

Ye Xin thought for a moment and said, "Before, I never noticed anything unusual when I meditated. On the day I took over as Master, I returned and meditated as usual. Suddenly, my true energy seemed to start circulating uncontrollably, followed by a massive influx of primordial energy into my body. I sat like this for half a month. When I could control my true energy, I used my divine sense to examine my body to find out where the massive influx of primordial energy had gone. That's when I discovered a powerful life force within me. Upon closer inspection, I found that a tiny life was gestating inside me without my knowledge."

“So, that life form was born within the last half month. Add to that the immense spiritual energy you attracted during your meditation—enough to kill even us martial artists after just an hour—yet you were unharmed after being infused with nearly fifteen days' worth of spiritual energy. Perhaps we can speculate that this life form was born from that accumulated energy?”

Hearing the Grand Elder's deduction, although somewhat unbelievable, it seemed the only explanation for the strange occurrences in Ye Xin. Thus, everyone accepted this explanation. In fact, what they considered an unbelievable conjecture was almost the truth. If Ye Tianqi hadn't exhausted his energy and fallen into a deep sleep, he probably would have loudly praised the Grand Elder's guess.

Having temporarily resolved the origin of the child in Ye Xin's womb, everyone calmly began to consider whether to allow this child of strange origin to be born. Finally, the elders decided to allow the child to be born and agreed that regardless of gender, the child would definitely be a disciple of Jingzhai.

Chapter Eight: Virgin Childbirth

Hearing that her unborn child could be safely born and approved by her sect, Ye Xin felt a sense of relief. The anxiety that had gripped her since learning of her pregnancy seemed to have vanished instantly. Ye Xin herself hadn't realized that she had unknowingly come to regard this mysterious child as a part of her own life. Her heart was no longer calm; normally, such mental instability would have caused Ye Xin to feel a decline in her cultivation level. But now, she felt no unease, instead happily stroking her lower abdomen, feeling the pulse of the little life within.

The elders had never seen such a gentle side of Ye Xin, who was usually so composed. Without disturbing her contemplation, they all withdrew.

Perhaps Ye Xin hadn't considered why the elders had agreed to the child's birth; although she was the head of the sect, this matter, if leaked, would damage the reputation of the Jingzhai sect. However, Ye Xin, being intelligent, understood perfectly well that, on one hand, as the head of the temple, they had to consider her feelings; on the other hand, and arguably the main factor, was their strong interest in this newborn baby. Perhaps they were already planning how to nurture this genius who had been taken into the temple even before birth?

Although Ye Xin had considered these things, she didn't care too much. After all, as an orphan who had grown up in the temple, she considered it her home. And it was only natural for her child to join the temple. Since

the future of the baby in Ye Xin's womb had been decided, the elders helped Ye Xin quickly familiarize herself with the temple's affairs. In fact, as the head of the temple, she didn't need to devote much attention to those mundane matters. The temple's methods, developed over thousands of years, were already quite comprehensive. What she really needed to handle were the matters selected by the temple's external affairs elders, which required the head of the temple's approval before implementation. Therefore, in just two months, Ye Xin was already fully capable of handling the temple's affairs independently.

Of course, during these two months, besides familiarizing herself with the temple's main tasks, she spent the rest of her time meditating alone in her quiet room and reading books about things pregnant women needed to be careful about. As time flew by, more than nine months passed.

Ye Xin was now heavily pregnant and about to give birth. Several months earlier, when her belly was just beginning to swell, Ye Xin had entrusted the affairs of the sect to Ning Keyu under the pretext of needing to go into seclusion for cultivation. With the tacit approval of the elders, she secluded herself in a bamboo hut deep in the bamboo forest.

This bamboo hut was the place of seclusion for the successive leaders of the sect, extremely quiet. Without the leader's permission, no disciple was allowed to enter within a hundred feet of the hut. Thus, for the past six months, Ye Xin had put everything aside to focus on the changes in the baby in her womb. As time went on, Ye Xin became more and more integrated into the role of mother, forgetting that she was the leader of the Jingzhai sect and forgetting her martial arts training. Every day, she simply ignored everything and felt the warmth, peace, and contentment that the life in her womb brought her in the mountains.

Before she knew it, the time for her child's birth was fast approaching. Ye Xin always used her divine sense to observe and sense the child's growth and life fluctuations. In the past few days, she had clearly felt a sharp fluctuation in the usually calm life force, a feeling that it was about to burst forth. Combining this with knowledge she had gained from books, Ye Xin was certain the child was about to be born.

Just in case, Ye Xin specially invited two elders to assist her, in case of any unforeseen circumstances, and also brought the best midwife from the foot of the mountain. Although the less known this matter was, the better. After all, if word got out that the head of Cihang Jingzhai, a sacred place in the hearts of martial arts practitioners, had suddenly given birth, it would cause a great uproar, potentially ruining the Jingzhai's millennia-old reputation.

However, for Ye Xin, who had completely embraced motherhood, nothing else mattered. What mattered was the safe delivery of her unborn child.

Therefore, in the past few days, under the care of the two elders and the guidance of the midwife secretly brought up the mountain, Ye Xin calmly awaited the birth of this infant with a mysterious origin.

One day, while Ye Xin was discussing martial arts with two elders, she suddenly felt a sharp pain in her protruding lower abdomen. Ye Xin was covered in cold sweat. Seeing her expression, the two elders dared not neglect her. One helped Ye Xin to bed, while the other rushed out to fetch the midwife. Since being blindfolded and brought there, the midwife had been taking care of the woman she regarded as a celestial being. She had fed and drunk her fill, believing Ye Xin to be a lovelorn young woman who had eloped with her lover, forced apart from her beloved by her family and now imprisoned in this bamboo forest.

If Ye Xin knew that in the midwife's eyes she had become a woman who had eloped with her lover, one wonders what she would think. Just as the midwife was indulging in her imagination and lamenting Ye Xin's 'tragic fate,' she was startled awake by the rushing elders.

Upon arriving at Ye Xin's bedside, the panicked midwife calmed herself and immediately took on her role, instructing the elders to boil water. She then began to clean her hands, preparing for the upcoming delivery.

However, a surprising phenomenon occurred. Lying on the bed, her body drenched in sweat from the pain, her beautiful skin was partially obscured, especially her swollen, lustrous belly, which was as translucent as jade.

Just as the midwife was marveling at Ye Xin's beauty, a soft halo emanated from her delicately rounded belly. The halo swirled above her abdomen, with wisps of light occasionally escaping from the rotation. The elder and the midwife were so captivated by Ye Xin's appearance within the halo that they failed to notice the escaping light seeping into their bodies, and gradually, they collapsed to the ground.

Of course, Ye Xin, immersed in a wondrous state, was completely unaware of all this. If an outsider had entered at this moment, they would have been astonished by what they saw.

The vortex of light above Ye Xin's belly had actually created a transparent channel on her smooth, alabaster-like abdomen, and a delicate-featured infant crawled out from the channel. As soon as the infant touched the ground, a bright red bib materialized on its body, making it look like a miniature version of the Golden Boy. After the baby was born, the passage formed by the halo suddenly disappeared, leaving only a nearly ten-centimeter-long wound on Ye Xin's abdomen, with a trace of blood at the opening.

Upon seeing this, the infant gently touched the wound with its tiny hand, and the wound vanished without a trace, as if it had never existed.

The newborn's chubby little hand stroked Ye Xin's abdomen, and the scratch disappeared, as if by magic. In fact, this infant was Ye Tianqi, who had been reincarnated. Because he had forcibly gathered powerful天地元气 (heaven and earth energy) to shape his physical body after initially entering Ye Xin's body, he had fallen into a deep sleep until recently.

After waking, Ye Tianqi began to observe the world using the divine sense he had skillfully employed when shaping his body. After all, since entering Ye Xin's body, he had no idea where he had been reincarnated. Even the part of the consciousness of the Carefree Celestial Venerable that had merged into his mind, which hadn't been sealed away, had no memory of this. It should be noted that the Carefree Celestial Venerable had ascended to the Immortal Realm ten thousand years ago and had never descended to the mortal world again; it could be said that he now knew nothing about this world.

"Sigh, I wonder which dimension this Carefree Celestial Venerable has transported me to. Perhaps I've ended up in another world or gone back to the past, just like the protagonists in those novels I've read. But I won't give up. Even so, I'll still make something of myself."

Thinking this, the Carefree Celestial Venerable waved his chubby little hand, his face resolute. If such an expression appeared on an adult's face, people would admire their resilience, but on the face of a cute, pink baby, everyone would just find it funny.

Chapter Nine: Analyzing the Situation .

However, when Ye Tianqi waved his hand, it touched the inner wall of the uterus, causing Ye Xin to experience a sharp pain in her abdomen, making her rub her high belly and mutter to herself. Only then did Ye Tianqi, who had just regained consciousness, remember that he was already an infant. So he abandoned those unrealistic fantasies and decided to first understand his current situation.

Remembering how the Carefree Celestial Venerable had hastily chosen one of the most powerful women in the mortal realm as his mother, Ye Tianqi only discovered upon entering her body that she was still a virgin. How could a virgin suddenly become pregnant? Ye Tianqi couldn't help but curse the Carefree Celestial Venerable. However, thinking that the Carefree Celestial Venerable was now a part of him, cursing him would be like cursing himself. He tried to escape,

but was sucked into the woman's body and couldn't break free. He had to use a method that greatly depleted his vital energy to gather powerful天地元气 (heaven and earth energy) to reshape his physical body, resulting in him being unconscious for several months until he awoke.

During the period between his awakening and birth, Ye Tianqi, with his still weak but recovered spiritual sense, gleaned and summarized some useful information from Ye Xin's daily life and behavior. The most useful thing for him was confirming that he had indeed returned to ancient times, and to a strange world at that. This world was clearly the Song Dynasty in Chinese history, but Ye Tianqi discovered that it didn't seem to be as historically recorded. He found that martial arts were extremely prevalent in this era.

Before meeting the immortal Xiaoyao Tianzun, before Ye Tianqi died, although he enjoyed reading martial arts and fantasy novels, he never believed they were real. While Chinese martial arts had a long history, in his view they were just fighting techniques; achieving the leaps and bounds described in novels was simply impossible.

However, after experiencing such a miraculous encounter, he naturally had a certain ability to adapt to everything. Combining this with some of Xiaoyao Tianzun's memories, he discovered that

there were very few cultivators left in the mortal realm. Even those few masters of cultivation, compared to the newly emerging, almost godlike methods of self-cultivation based on traditional cultivation techniques, required a long period of practice to achieve the same level of mastery as someone who had practiced internal martial arts for decades.

It's not that the methods of cultivating immortality are inferior to the martial arts cultivation that are widely practiced in the mortal realm today; it's just that the methods of cultivating immortality require far too much time. Only those who reach a certain level in cultivating immortality can compete with those who reach the Heavenly Rank in just a few decades. Of course, it's not to say that there are no true masters among cultivators. After all, those masters who can move mountains and seas with a wave of their hand, approaching immortality, can only be matched by figures like the Four Grandmasters of the martial arts world. After all, only demigods like the Four Grandmasters can contend with immortals who are no longer ordinary people.

This is one point. In short, cultivating immortality has begun to decline, and a new generation pursuing the unity of heaven and man to achieve the Void Shattering Realm has become the mainstream.

Secondly, the strength of the mother body named Ye Xin chosen by the Carefree Celestial Venerable is actually one-tenth of the Carefree Celestial Venerable's strength at his peak. Don't underestimate her just because she's only one-tenth the power of the Carefree Celestial Venerable. The Carefree Celestial Venerable was a renowned ancient immortal even in the primordial era, a representative figure among those who achieved great immortality during the age of gods and

demons. Otherwise, the Jade Emperor and Buddha wouldn't have been so wary of him, going to great lengths to eliminate him. After all, his contemporaries, such as the Queen Mother of the West and the Three Pure Ones, had secluded themselves beyond the Thirty-Three Heavens after the Investiture of the Gods. Therefore, even facing such extraordinary figures as the Three Pure Ones, the Carefree Celestial Venerable wouldn't flinch. In terms of strength, those who could rival him in the Three Realms could be counted on one hand. So, it's no wonder Ye Tianqi was astonished that Ye Xin, at only twenty-something years old, possessed power equivalent to one-tenth of the Carefree Celestial Venerable's ten thousand years of cultivation.

For over a month, Ye Tianqi carefully observed Ye Xin's teachers, but unfortunately, only a few visited her occasionally. He didn't learn much about the events of his own era. To Ye Tianqi's surprise, he discovered that he had been reincarnated into the body of the head of the Cihang Jingzhai sect. This discovery greatly excited him, as his most admired fantasy novel was "The Legend of the Twin Dragons of the Tang Dynasty." The Cihang Jingzhai sect, with its otherworldly grandeur, had left a deep impression on him.

Ye Tianqi immediately thought of the stunningly beautiful Shi Xianzi, wondering if the woman carrying him was as Huang Da described. Even before his birth, Ye Tianqi was already speculating about the appearance of his "birth mother."

Besides this, Ye Tianqi also considered his future. He had been chosen by the Carefree Celestial Venerable to be a virgin, his extraordinary origins already predetermined before birth. It was easy to imagine the attention he would receive after his birth. Would he remain an ordinary person or make a name for himself in this era?

In Ye Tianqi's mind, he knew that while the Celestial Venerable Xiaoyao wasn't particularly interested in power struggles and disliked the cutthroat world of intrigue, being an ordinary person didn't suit his lively nature. Otherwise, he wouldn't have held the title of Emperor in the Heavenly Realm. If he had known he would suffer this calamity, and had the choice again, he probably still wouldn't have chosen to live that monotonous life outside the Thirty-Three Heavens like the Three Pure Ones. Therefore, his personality destined him to be someone who couldn't tolerate a mediocre life. Similarly, Ye Tianqi's personality determined that he couldn't simply live a mundane existence.

Now that he had a clear understanding of his future, Ye Tianqi needed to plan for it. Because of the Celestial Venerable Xiaoyao, he might one day face figures like Buddha and the Jade Emperor, along with their vast power bases. Therefore, he needed to gather his own strength; otherwise, how could he possibly kill them among millions of immortals and Buddhas alone? He might end up following in the footsteps of the Celestial Venerable Xiaoyao.

Thinking this way, Ye Tianqi thought of Ye Xin's sect. He could imagine that a sect capable of cultivating such exceptional talent, beauty, and strength could not be a weak force. It seemed he would have to use some means to bring such a powerful force under his control.

As for the methods to use, Ye Tianqi hadn't considered them. After all, Ye Tianqi was still just a young student. Although he had already integrated a portion of the consciousness of the Carefree Celestial Venerable, his true nature remained his own. The additional consciousness of the Carefree Celestial Venerable was like having a book in Ye Tianqi's mind that he could consult at any time, but he hadn't fully understood or internalized it yet. Furthermore, he didn't quite understand whether this sect was truly the same as the Cihang Jingzhai he knew. Therefore, he would have to wait until after his birth to observe.

A few days later, which was today, Ye Tianqi, already tired of being inside Ye Xin's womb, calculated the days and felt that he would be born in the next few days. Unable to bear it any longer, he kicked and scratched inside Ye Xin's womb, announcing to the outside world that he was about to be born. Thus, all the events described above occurred.

Chapter Ten: The Yang Family Generals.

Ye Tianqi emerged through a slit opened in Ye Xin's abdomen. Furthermore, the initial vortex of light above Ye Xin's abdomen was merely a distraction for the elder and the midwife. Once their attention was focused on the light, Ye Tianqi subtly and unconsciously knocked them unconscious. He then gathered the limited magical power he had inherited from the Carefree Celestial Venerable and released it from Ye Xin's abdomen. The reason for this was that a normal birth would inevitably cause Ye Xin immense pain, and she might not even be a virgin anymore.

For a member of the Cihang Jingzhai sect, known for its purity and integrity, this was a significant matter, especially for the sect leader. If she lost her high reputation because of this, it would be a considerable blow to him, as his goal was to subdue Cihang Jingzhai and make her his loyal allies. To achieve all this, he needed the help of Ye Xin, the person he had the deepest affection for within the Zhai. In the eyes of the world, he was Ye Xin's child, born after ten months of pregnancy. Regardless, this nominal mother was the person he could rely on most in the mortal realm, even though they had no blood relation. Ye Tianqi could never see Ye Xin as his mother; at most, he considered her his closest person at present. (I wonder if you, my fellow readers, are satisfied with this setting. After all, seeing the strong suggestions in the book reviews, the author still has to consider it, right? Who says writing is a one-person job? Sometimes, readers can also decide the fate of the characters in the book, can't they?) Similarly, another reason Ye Tianqi did that was that he wanted to see if he could really unleash magic. When Ye Tianqi used magic for the first time, the excitement he felt was indescribable. Although it exhausted his already limited magical power, he didn't care at all. He was simply immersed in that excitement.

Let's talk about Ye Xin lying in bed, quietly awaiting the birth of her child. Gradually, she felt her eyelids tremble, and a strong drowsiness washed over her. Although she tried her best to resist, she was still overcome by the drowsiness. When Ye Xin woke up, she found a baby, as delicate as a porcelain doll, lying beside her. Seeing the chubby little fingers in its mouth, the baby's adorable appearance stirred Ye Xin's strong maternal instincts. Without thinking, Ye Xin leaned down and kissed the baby's fair face. The baby seemed to sense something, its little hand in its mouth flailing wildly before falling into a deep sleep again.

It turned out that Ye Tianqi had exhausted his magic to dispel the spell on the three after coming out, and could no longer hold on, feeling an intense weariness. After all, he had used up his magic power at birth, and now he was a newborn infant. So, subconsciously, he lay down and fell asleep beside Ye Xin.

When Ye Xin's attention shifted from the infant beside her, she noticed the elder and the midwife lying on the ground. Ye Xin was puzzled, wondering why the two had fainted. She called out to the elder, "Uncle Mu, Uncle Mu!" The elder, a Heavenly Rank expert, immediately woke up upon hearing her voice.

Elder Mu, bewildered by the midwife's presence, said, "Eh? Why is Aunt Liu lying on the ground? Why didn't she get up to deliver the baby?" It turned out that Elder Mu hadn't noticed the infant in Ye Xin's arms and thought the child hadn't been born yet.

Ye Xin said, "Uncle Mu, no need to call. Aunt Liu must be tired. Why is she lying on the ground? Uncle, please help her to the outer room to rest. The baby has already been born."

Hearing that the baby had been born, Elder Mu assumed that Aunt Liu had delivered the baby after his strange fainting spell. He helped Aunt Liu out, and soon Elder Mu returned with the elder who had gone to boil water. Looking at the adorable baby sleeping soundly in Ye Xin's arms, the two elders couldn't help but say, "Master, he's so cute! Is it a boy or a girl?"

"Ah, look at me, I forgot to check if this little one is a boy or a girl. Let me see." As she spoke, Ye Xin lifted a corner of the blanket covering the baby before peeking out and saying, "So it's a boy." Ye Xin frowned slightly, after all, no male disciple had appeared in the sect for over a thousand years. Should they make an exception for this child today?

Seeing Ye Xin's expression, the two elders said, "Master, don't worry. After all, the sect rules don't explicitly forbid accepting male disciples. It's just that our sect hasn't accepted male disciples for a long time, leading outsiders to believe we don't accept male disciples. Leaving aside the child's miraculous origins, just looking at his adorable appearance, I'm sure the other elders will agree. Besides, everyone agreed a few months ago that no matter if the child is a boy or a girl, he must join the sect, so Master, you don't need to worry about that." Hearing the two elders say this, Ye Xin felt relieved.

The two elders looked at the adorable child again. Elder Mu seemed to suddenly remember something and said, "Oh dear, how could I forget to inform the elders? They're waiting for news of this child. Senior Sister, you stay here to look after the Abbot. I'll go inform the elders and also take Aunt Liu down the mountain." With that, she turned and left.

Ye Xin smiled at Elder Mu's appearance and said to Elder Liu, who was sitting by the bed, "Master was absolutely right. Uncle Mu is still the same as ever, still so quick-tempered."

"Yes, Junior Sister Mu is still the same after all these years, even more impatient than when she was young. I wonder where all those years of cultivation have gone." As the two were talking, they heard hurried footsteps outside, showing how urgent the person was.

Hearing the chaotic footsteps outside, Ye Xin thought to herself: It seems that the child will definitely stay at the Jingzhai without any problem. Just from the sound of the footsteps, Ye Xin could tell that the usually calm and collected elders were walking with hurried footsteps, showing how important the infant was to them. Just as Ye Xin was lost in thought, several elders filed in, the first being the Grand Elder.

After entering, the Grand Elder and the others bowed to Ye Xin on the bed. Ye Xin, not daring to be negligent, quickly sat up and returned the bow. The Grand Elder hurried forward to the bedside, looking at the somewhat weary Ye Xin with a smile, and said, "Is the Master's health alright? You need to rest well for the next few days. Although you have a foundation built from childhood cultivation, and your cultivation level has reached a very high realm, childbirth is still the most draining thing for a woman's vitality, understand?"

“Xin’er understands, thank you for your concern, Elder. I will recuperate for a while, but I will need your help with the affairs of the temple. I have heard that the Song court is in great chaos. Ever since General Yang Ye passed away, the border wars have been kept under the command of his sixth son, Yang Yanzhao, to ensure the stability of our Great Song. It is a pity that the Yang family has suffered such a loss. The Seven Wolves and Eight Tigers were once so powerful in suppressing the Liaodong rebellion, but now only Yang Yanzhao remains. We must say that our sect also bears some responsibility.”

Hearing Ye Xin’s words, the First Elder couldn’t help but sigh, “Yes, back then, our master personally went to the commander’s camp to persuade the surrender in order to unify the world as soon as possible.” Yang Ye. However, no matter what they did, they couldn't persuade him to surrender. In the end, they failed; he remained steadfastly loyal to the Later Han. Even after Liu Jiyuan, the ruler of Northern Han, surrendered, he continued fighting until Emperor Taizong of Song sent Liu Jiyuan to personally persuade him to surrender. Only then did Liu Jiyuan weep and lay down his arms to surrender. At that time, his master, valuing his loyalty and righteousness, told Emperor Taizu: "The Yang family is the pillar of the nation." Emperor Taizu himself greatly admired Yang Ye's loyalty and bravery. After his surrender, he heavily relied on Yang Ye, thus giving rise to the Yang family's tragic legacy. If the Yang family is in such a state today, we certainly bear some responsibility, but more importantly, it is the persecution by the Six Demonic Sects.

Chapter Eleven: The Overbearing Name

All the elders, except Ning Keyu, showed surprise. Elder Mu, the most impatient of them all, asked, "Really? Could the Yang family's current situation be related to Jingzhai? I've never heard of this!"

The First Elder looked at Elder Mu and said, "Actually, only I and the later head of the sect know about this. You were all young then, and only I accompanied our master. Of course, you wouldn't know… Alright, head of the sect, you should focus on recovering your health first. These things can't be resolved quickly, after all, we are on par with the Demonic Sect..." The struggle has lasted for so long, and the Qingliu faction still holds the upper hand in the court. As long as the Eighth Prince and Lord Kou remain safe, along with Yang Liulang on the border, although the Liao people, supported by the Demonic Sect, have repeatedly resorted to trickery, they cannot break the current situation in a short time. Alright, let's not worry about that for now. Let's see that miraculous infant.”

Hearing the elder's words, Ye Xin felt relieved. After all, she rarely paid attention to worldly affairs except for cultivation. Since being chosen by her master as the new head of Jingzhai, she had begun to care about such matters. She had read about the connection between the Yang family and Jingzhai in the notes of the twenty-sixth head of the sect. Recalling the recent intelligence regarding the current situation between Liao and Song, she had asked the eldest elder of the sect for his opinion. Since the eldest elder had spoken, Ye Xin didn't dwell on the matter. After all, Ye Xin knew she didn't possess the eldest elder's worldly wisdom and long-term vision, as these required rich life experience.

Understanding this, Ye Xin understood the direction she needed to strive for as the head of Jingzhai. Taking advantage of the elder's question, she turned slightly to reveal the infant in her arms. The elders, all unmarried, were overwhelmed by the powerful maternal love suppressed within them upon seeing the sleeping baby's adorable, childlike face. Each of them looked at the child in Ye Xin's arms with tender affection.

Several elders wanted to hold the cute baby, but seeing the baby's peaceful sleep and the smile on its lips, none of them wanted to wake the child. The elder, seeing their expressions, understood why; even with his years of solitary cultivation, he hadn't been able to resist the allure of the baby's smile. The elder coughed lightly, rousing the distracted crowd, and said, "Everyone has seen it, hasn't they? This child, so young, possesses a magical attraction, coupled with his physique seemingly born for martial arts cultivation. With proper guidance, he will undoubtedly become a Heavenly Dao master no less than any of you within twenty years. However, our Jingzhai has never accepted a male disciple for a long time."

Hearing the elder's words, Ye Xin quickly looked at him. "Master, there's no need to rush. Although we can't accept him into our ranks, he is your flesh and blood, and thus a member of the Jingzhai sect—it's just a title. Besides, not accepting him is for his own good. On one hand, we won't have to worry about breaking long-standing Jingzhai traditions; on the other hand, the child will have a certain degree of freedom when he grows up, free from the constraints of Jingzhai's rules. Furthermore, if he achieves success in martial arts, his status as someone who is not a Jingzhai disciple but is equivalent to one could help him break free from the deadlock that has existed between Jingzhai and the Demonic Sect for thousands of years in the struggle against them. Perhaps the breakthrough in the future struggle against the Demonic Sect lies in this little one?"

Ye Xin, seeing how thoughtful the Grand Elder was, and how this would greatly benefit his child—allowing him to learn Jingzhai's unique skills without being bound by sect rules—naturally agreed.

Everyone else also agreed.

"By the way, have you named the child yet?" one of the elders suddenly asked.

"Not yet, it hasn't been that long. Since the Grand Elder is here, let him name the child." Ye Xin only realized after the elder spoke that she hadn't thought of a name for her child during her long pregnancy. Seeing the Grand Elder here, she spoke to him.

"It's best if you, the Elder, name the child. Since this child's origins are mysterious, and she came into this world through your body, you can be considered her mother. Naming the child is both a parent's right and obligation. How can I choose for her?"

Seeing everyone nod in agreement with the Elder's suggestion, Ye Xin nodded, thought for a moment, and said, "In that case, I'll call him Tianqi, taking my surname, Ye Tianqi. What do you all think?"

The Elder nodded and said, "Although the name is a bit domineering, the little guy deserves it. Alright, let's call him Ye Tianqi."

Poor Ye Tianqi, now in his infant form, never imagined that while he slept, he would have a name in this world, and even more coincidentally, it was the same name he had in his previous life. If he were awake, he would probably marvel at the wonders of the world. Ye Tianqi, a resounding name. Now, no one could imagine that these three characters, along with the name's owner's philandering and defying-the-heaven deeds, would be resounding throughout the Three Realms and Six Paths. But right now, this little guy is still fast asleep.

After examining the infant, the elders all took their leave, except for Ning Keyu, who stayed to care for Ye Xin.

Chapter Twelve: Mother is a Fairy

. Ye Tianqi opened his eyes at dusk (by which time Ning Keyu had already left). A delicate fragrance wafted towards him. Although he had never experienced the pleasures of love, Ye Tianqi was certain that this fragrance was that of his "mother," faint as an orchid. Moving his tiny body, Ye Tianqi saw the beautiful woman again—Ye Xin. This was his "mother"! He wondered what kind of good fortune he had accumulated over countless lifetimes to be able to lie in the arms of such a beautiful woman, enjoying her care.

When Ye Tianqi was first born, his first glance was eagerly fixed on Ye Xin on the bed, and he was immediately stunned by her charm. She murmured, "Even Huang Da might not be able to describe the beauty of this woman. Calling her a fairy would be too vulgar. It's a transcendence of worldly wisdom, a compassionate love for all people, her face radiating a holy light." Her eyes were closed, and Ye Tianqi had somehow fallen asleep beside Ye Xin.

This was the second time Ye Tianqi had seen Ye Xin. Having experienced it once before, Ye Tianqi didn't lose his composure, behaving like a newborn infant. Ye Xin felt the baby in her arms move, and opened her eyes to see Ye Tianqi's dark, pure, and unfathomable eyes. Ye Xin's heart almost sank in, but given her cultivation level, she quickly looked away. She reached out and held the porcelain-doll-like Ye Tianqi in her arms, stroking his delicate little mouth with one hand, murmuring, "Little darling, are you hungry? Come, Mommy will feed you." If the young heroes of the martial arts world, who were madly infatuated with and worshipped her, saw Ye Xin's expression at this moment, they would be utterly astonished.

Ye Tianqi, stunned, was held in Ye Xin's arms, listening to her loving voice. His mind went blank. Ye Tianqi suddenly remembered his unexpected arrival in this world, and the possibility that he might never see his parents again. Thinking that he could no longer repay their kindness in raising him, Ye Tianqi felt a pang of sadness, and tears welled in his eyes.

Ye Xin, unaware of the real reason for Ye Tianqi's tears, thought he was truly hungry. She quickly unbuttoned her undergarment and gently loosened the ribbon of her bodice, revealing a glimpse of... The red nipple stood out so clearly on the firm, snow-white mound. Without the slightest hesitation, Ye Xin placed her nipple against Ye Tianqi's tear-streaked mouth, saying, "Good boy, don't cry, Mother will feed you." She then squeezed her nipple, never before revealed to anyone, into Ye Tianqi's mouth.

At this moment, Ye Tianqi had completely forgotten his sorrows; his mind was only filled with the awe-inspiring sight of Ye Xin's glistening breast and the rosy hue that had captivated him. Feeling the soft nipple enter his mouth, Ye Tianqi instinctively licked it with his tongue. Ye Xin's body trembled violently, an indescribable sensation spreading throughout her body from her nipple.

At first, Ye Tianqi only sucked subconsciously, but he didn't find any milk flowing into his mouth. He sucked several more times, but still no milk. "Oh no, am I going to starve to death here?" Already feeling hungry, Ye Tianqi realized he was only using a space within Ye Xin's body to create his physical form, which was why Ye Xin was pregnant. But it wasn't true childbirth; Ye Xin's body was still that of a young girl. How could a girl who hadn't given birth produce milk? Ye Tianqi smiled bitterly to himself. It seemed he would have to worry about his own hunger.

Even so, Ye Tianqi continued to suckle at the nipple in his mouth with his tongue, occasionally gently rubbing the nipple with his toothless gums. Ye Xin knew absolutely nothing about these things. Although she was well-read, she was completely ignorant on these matters. Seeing the infant in her arms constantly suckling at her breast, she thought it was just the baby drinking milk, though it seemed a little strange. She watched with a loving smile as Ye Tianqi's little hands gently grasped her full breasts.

While this allowed him to enjoy the beauty's perfect breasts, it didn't solve his own feeding problem. Ye Tianqi began to worry; he was a newborn, and although his body was much stronger, he couldn't go without food for several days! Ye Tianqi thought and thought, and suddenly remembered the ancient immortals who supposedly ate only dew and wind. Plus, he could use some techniques left to him by the Carefree Celestial Venerable. Wouldn't that allow him to live on the spiritual energy of heaven and earth? Thinking of this, Ye Tianqi was thrilled. Now that he had no more worries, he resumed enjoying Ye Xin's care.

After a while, Ye Tianqi felt very hungry, so he spat out the nipple he had been suckling. Ye Xin tried several times, but Ye Tianqi refused each time. Ye Xin naturally assumed that Ye Tianqi was already full, so she lowered her head and kissed Ye Tianqi's forehead, placed him beside her, and took a thin blanket to cover him. Ye Tianqi watched as Ye Xin tucked her beautiful breasts under her bodice, and the beauty adjusted her undergarments and lay down beside him, gently patting his body with one hand.

Ye Tianqi closed his eyes and slowly began to circulate the mental cultivation method left to him by the Carefree Celestial Venerable. Wisps of spiritual energy entered his body with the circulation of his cultivation method, and slowly his hunger disappeared. Seeing that he had achieved his goal, Ye Tianqi stopped the cultivation method and gradually fell asleep in Ye Xin's arms. After all, he was still an infant, and he needed a certain amount of sleep every day.

When Ye Tianqi woke up again, it was already the next day. He was awakened by a sound. Before Ye Tianqi even opened his eyes, he heard a clear voice say, "Senior Sister, is this your baby? He's so cute! Can Suqing hold him?" "

It's Suqing's good fortune to like him. Hold him if you want; this child isn't shy around strangers," Ye Xin said. Then Ye Tianqi felt himself being lifted up. He smelled a fragrance different from his "mother," Ye Xin. Ye Xin's fragrance was a faint, refreshing scent, easily missed if one didn't look closely—a calming aroma.

The woman holding him, however, had a stronger fragrance. Ye Tianqi was certain it was a type of incense.

Sandalwood is a key ingredient in cultivation aids; burning sandalwood during cultivation greatly reduces the risk of demonic possession. Ye Tianqi wondered why this woman emitted the sandalwood scent typically only found on highly accomplished monks. (This will be explained later; the strong sandalwood scent on this woman is largely due to her constitution.) Ye Tianqi felt a warm breath approaching his face. He immediately opened his eyes and saw a face more beautiful than any celestial being, a perfect face like a fairy stepping out of a painting. Compared to Ye Xin's beauty, the two women each possessed their own unique charm, like spring orchids and autumn chrysanthemums, each with their own strengths.

Ye Tianqi never imagined he had stumbled into a land of beauties. He had thought there were no beauties besides Ye Xin, but it seemed he hadn't seen enough. This junior sister was so beautiful; he was incredibly lucky. If he had the ability, could he perhaps take a few beauties as wives in the Quiet Abode? At this moment, Ye Tianqi completely believed the descriptions in Huang Laoda's book: all Cihang disciples were absolutely celestial beauties, possessing top-notch martial arts, charm, appearance, and talent—any one of them would be absolutely first-rate in the martial arts world.

As Ye Tianqi was lost in thought, his face flushed. The woman's glistening red lips had landed on his cheek.

An Suqing had heard from her master that her senior sister had given birth, so she immediately came to see. In the Jingzhai, she and Ye Xin were the closest, and she had often stayed by Ye Xin's side during her pregnancy. Later, because she had to go into seclusion for a period of cultivation, she heard from her master that her senior sister had given birth as soon as she emerged, so she immediately rushed over to visit.

An Suqing looked into Ye Tianqi's crystal-clear eyes and noticed the little guy looking at her with his eyes rolling. An Suqing found the child incredibly cute and said to Ye Xin, who was lying on the bed smiling at her, "Senior Sister, this child is so adorable! Have you named him yet?"

Ye Xin smiled and said, "We already did yesterday, his name is Ye Tianqi."

Chapter Thirteen: The Infant Speaks.

"Little Tianqi, what a lovely name!" An Suqing's hand slid across Ye Tianqi's smooth little face. Although Ye Tianqi thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful woman's caress, he still waved his little hand away, trying to push An Suqing's hand aside. Although he was just a child, his mind was that of a nearly twenty-year-old boy. He didn't want anyone stroking his face, even if it was someone incredibly beautiful like a fairy.

An Suqing hadn't expected the little guy's hand to be pushing hers away. Instead, she grabbed his chubby hand. Because Ye Tianqi was an infant, the strength in his hand was negligible to An Suqing. She assumed the little guy had reached out his hand, and then, to Ye Tianqi's dismay, his little hand was grabbed.

Although An Suqing's skin was as smooth and tender as Ye Tianqi's newborn baby's, she seemed quite interested in the soft little hand in hers, stroking it incessantly. Ye Tianqi tried to pull away several times without success, and was extremely frustrated. How could he escape this beautiful woman's grasp?

An Suqing, who was talking to Ye Xin, probably had no idea that the little one she was holding was thinking about how to escape from her grasp.

Ye Tianqi thought for a while, but couldn't seem to come up with a good idea. Just as he was frowning in thought, Ye Tianqi felt like he needed to urinate. Everyone knows that babies usually do this: eat, sleep, wake up, poop, and then go back to sleep.

The two women, engrossed in their conversation, failed to notice the sly smile that flickered across Ye Tianqi's lips (let's call it sly for now, because if they had seen it, no one would have associated it with that word).

Suddenly, An Suqing felt a warmth on her legs, as if a stream of water was flowing between the legs of the doll she was holding. An Suqing cried out, "Ah!" and jumped to her feet, still holding Ye Tianqi in her arms.

"What's wrong, Junior Sister?" Ye Xin, who had been talking to An Suqing, asked quickly upon seeing her suddenly stand up and cry out.

"Senior sister, it looks like Tianqi peed! Look how wet my clothes are!" An Suqing said, showing Ye Xin her soaked clothes.

Ye Xin saw that An Suqing's clothes were indeed wet and laughed, "It seems you and Qi'er are really destined for each other. This is the first time he's ever done this. I, as a mother, have never received such treatment, but you, junior sister, have to experience it. Don't you think so?" Ye Xin couldn't help but giggle as she spoke.

"Senior sister, you're laughing at me! This brat dared to get my clothes dirty! Just wait and see how I deal with him!" She glared at Ye Tianqi, but her fierce expression didn't last long before she burst into laughter. She handed Ye Tianqi to Ye Xin, saying, "Senior sister, here! Your precious baby. I need to change; it's so uncomfortable being all wet."

Taking Ye Tianqi's outstretched arms, Ye Xin kissed him on the cheek, saying, "How could you, little rascal, get your Aunt Qing's clothes dirty?"

"Never mind, I don't think this little guy understands what you're saying, senior sister. After all, I'm his aunt, aren't I, little guy?" An Suqing reached out and patted Ye Tianqi's face again before turning and leaving. A voice came from outside the door: "Senior Sister, I'll come see you later!"

Watching An Suqing walk away, Ye Tianqi was quite smug, thinking to himself, "Hmph, look at you still stroking my face like that. It feels nice, but who am I to let a man touch my face like that?" (The author is sweating profusely! Damn, you look like a man, don't you?) Although Ye Tianqi escaped from An Suqing's grasp that day, he didn't expect that An Suqing seemed to have developed an interest in him, coming to see him every day without fail.

Moreover, every time An Suqing "snatched" Ye Tianqi from Ye Xin's arms and held him in her arms, her jade-like little hands would always stroke her smooth little face, muttering, "Hmm, thankfully as smooth as before. It seems my hands haven't changed! I need to continue taking care of them, otherwise, if this little guy's skin surpasses mine, that would be terrible."

Little did An Suqing know that Ye Tianqi, whom she was using as a testing tool, rolled his eyes and almost fainted upon hearing her words. Ye Tianqi almost spoke. It turned out that after a day of practice and familiarization with his body after birth, Ye Tianqi was finally able to speak. However, he didn't speak immediately because, although he knew he was already a special presence in Jingzhai, he still hoped not to attract too much attention. But things seem to change. Would everything really develop as Ye Tianqi wished?

Although Ye Tianqi temporarily suppressed the urge to respond to An Suqing's words, the next sentence immediately rendered all his efforts futile.

An Suqing whispered in Ye Tianqi's ear, "Little guy, you said you dirtied Auntie's clothes a few days ago. Shouldn't Auntie punish you, you little devil?"

Ye Tianqi was incredibly annoyed. He thought An Suqing had forgotten about it. Hearing An Suqing's words, and feeling her hand seemingly resting on his little bottom, as if she were about to pinch his flesh,

Ye Tianqi forgot to hide the fact that he could speak and immediately cried out, "Mother, help me!" His voice was extremely clear, though a little unclear since it was his first time speaking, but even so, it startled both women. An

Suqing

's hand trembled so much she almost threw Ye Tianqi to the ground. Ye Xin, who was sitting on the bed making clothes for Ye Tianqi, heard Ye Tianqi's voice and her hand trembled again. She pricked her delicate finger, and a small bead of bright red blood immediately appeared on her finger.

Ye Xin seemed oblivious, watching Ye Tianqi being held in An Suqing's arms.

Ye Tianqi regretted speaking as soon as he did; wasn't he just asking for trouble? Seeing the two women's reactions, Ye Tianqi decided to play dumb. So he reached out his little hand and tugged at Ye Xin, mumbling, "Mother, hug me!"

Ye Xin was startled awake by Ye Tianqi's cry. Realizing she had been stunned by him, and considering his extraordinary background, she shouldn't be so surprised by anything that happened to him. Having figured this out, she was no longer surprised that Ye Tianqi could speak only a few days after birth. Reaching out to take Ye Tianqi from the still-stunned An Suqing, Ye Xin kissed his forehead and said, "Qi'er is indeed a natural genius. He can speak in just a few days; he will surely achieve extraordinary things in the future."

Ye Tianqi had been worried that Ye Xin would question why he could speak so early, but hearing her words, he felt relieved. He couldn't help but think, "Luckily, my mother is quite perceptive. It seems my unusual birth has already made her see me as an extraordinary child. It looks like if I make any mistakes in the future, I can use my background as leverage." Thinking this, a smile spread across Ye Tianqi's lips—a sly, conspiratorial grin, but to Ye Xin, it appeared as a happy smile of Ye Tianqi wanting to be held in her arms.

"Senior Sister, he…he can talk?" An Suqing, regaining her senses, pointed at Ye Tianqi in surprise and said haltingly.

"Yes! What's wrong?" Ye Xin had never seen her junior sister with such an expression before, so she suppressed a laugh.

"Senior Sister, why are you still laughing? Look at this little guy!" An Suqing exclaimed, seeing that Ye Xin seemed completely unsurprised.

"Do you know how this child came to be?" Ye Xin asked. "Wasn't it my senior sister who carried him for ten months and gave birth to him? How else could he have come to be? Don't think I don't know, but I still know this basic common sense," An Suqing replied. "I gave birth to him, but he suddenly appeared inside my body. That is to say, I shouldn't have been able to give birth, but this child appeared miraculously, you could say he was born that way. So, I'm not surprised if anything strange happens to him. Besides, he can just talk. Aren't there many child prodigies in history who could talk only a few months after birth? This shows that our baby is just smarter than those children." As she spoke, Ye Xin kissed Ye Tianqi's little face again, speaking with deep affection.

An Suqing seemed to only then realize Ye Tianqi's origin and nodded, watching Ye Xin teach Ye Tianqi to talk.

Ye Tianqi was happy to pretend to talk, following Ye Xin's clear and melodious voice in a very awkward tone.

That night, although Ye Tianqi resisted very much, An Suqing took him away from Ye Xin. Although Ye Xin was very reluctant, she didn't keep Ye Tianqi. An Suqing insisted on developing a relationship with the little guy, having threatened him during the day to make the barely-talking Ye Tianqi acknowledge her as his aunt. Ye Tianqi, frightened by An Suqing's underhanded tactics, reluctantly called her "aunt." However, Ye Tianqi secretly vowed to himself that he would eventually win this woman over and make her his wife, then he would see how he would "take revenge."

Ye Tianqi struggled for a long time when An Suqing carried him away, but unfortunately, he was too small and weak. In the end, his eyes were filled with tears (of course, Ye Tianqi deliberately shed them to gain Ye Xin's sympathy), looking at Ye Xin with such a pitiful expression that Ye Xin almost refused to let An Suqing take Ye Tianqi away.

Seeing this, An Suqing dared not let the mother and son look at each other any longer, otherwise the opportunity she had begged her senior sister to allow her to "develop a relationship" with Ye Tianqi would be lost. He hurriedly called out to Ye Xin, "Senior Sister, Qi'er and I are going back first!" Before he could finish speaking, he had vanished without a trace, even using his superb lightness skill.

Held in An Suqing's arms, Ye Tianqi felt the ethereal lightness of her using her lightness skill. An Suqing was like a fairy in the wind, the verdant bamboo leaves swaying in the breeze, her white robes making her look like a fairy descending to earth. At this moment, Ye Tianqi paid no attention to An Suqing's aloof and otherworldly aura; he was simply immersed in his martial arts dreams.

Today could be said to be the first time Ye Tianqi had seen someone demonstrate martial arts in front of him. In fact, after Ye Tianqi merged with a portion of the consciousness of the Carefree Celestial Venerable, he knew that spells and martial arts that only appeared in mythology did exist. He had used spells himself before, but regarding Chinese martial arts, which he had been skeptical of in his previous life, although he knew they existed, this was the first time he had truly witnessed them.

Ye Tianqi was now determined to learn martial arts. He had such excellent prerequisites! He had a "mother" who had reached the advanced stage of martial arts cultivation, capable of teaching him the most profound techniques. Moreover, his physique was like an unpolished gem; if he cultivated diligently, he could realize his deepest desire—to become a martial arts master, ideally a peerless figure like Pang Ban or Lang Fanyun from another of Huang Da's books. However, what he truly wanted to be was the lucky boy like Han Bai, who ultimately obtained the red pill from the Fairy Qin.
