Hearing this, Su Ye's eyes dimmed slightly, and she shook her head, saying, "No, let's not."

Upon seeing this, Su Ye's mind went blank, as if it had exploded. She stared at the message, her heart pounding. She

didn't know how much time had passed when she thought she heard the sound of the water in the bathroom stop. Startled, she quickly turned off her phone and tossed it aside like a hot potato.

A moment later, Du Heng came out. Seeing Su Ye's body flushed a deep red, like a steamed shrimp, he frowned in confusion. "What's wrong? Are you sick?" He sat by the bed, his body reeking of lavender bath fragrance—a scent Su Ye had chosen for herself.

Su Ye shook her head, muttering, "No… I'm just tired." She buried her head under the covers like a snail, knowing Du Heng wasn't stupid and would definitely notice her unusual condition.

Du Heng, however, was only worried that she was sick. He reached out and pulled back the covers, his large hand checking the temperature of her forehead.

Du Heng was already dressed. Seeing Su Ye wake up, he picked up her clothes and helped her put them on. Su Ye struggled to get up, wanting to dress herself, so Du Heng had no choice but to let her.

As Su Ye dressed, Du Heng explained, "You have a high fever. Let's go home now. I've already called Dr. Mo and asked him to come over."
