My Policewoman Lover [Complete] - Part 2

Chapter Seven: Super Match-Up

"Hmph!" The policewoman snorted, beckoned to the waiter, and casually ordered a few dishes.

"What drinks would you two like?" the waiter asked politely after taking notes.

"Four bottles of Snow Beer."

"Okay, please wait a moment."

"Hey, and a large bottle of Coke too." Liu Jing stopped the waiter, then explained, "I don't drink, I remember telling you."

"You said you don't smoke!" The policewoman turned her face away disdainfully. Liu Jing looked at the cigarette in his hand, and said helplessly and cautiously, "Alright then, I'll have a drink with you, just one, absolutely no more!"

The policewoman smiled, the neon lights outside the window making her look beautiful. Liu Jing felt much better and asked, "By the way, you saw my driver's license yesterday, so you know my name. I still don't know how to address you."

The policewoman picked up her handbag and tossed him her ID card. She was fair; Liu Jing glanced at her and took it: Qin Yuxia. Looking at her birthdate, wow, she was already twenty-nine, which didn't look like it at all.

“You’re six years older than me, so I’ll call you Sister Qin from now on,” Liu Jing said, handing back his ID card. Qin Yuxia lowered her eyes and waved her hand, saying, “Just call me by my name, it’s more familiar to me.”

“Okay,” Liu Jing didn’t insist.

The two chatted casually for a while. It had been five months, and this was their first formal meeting, yet the atmosphere felt awkward, as if the only purpose of their conversation was to avoid an awkward silence.

Soon, the food and drinks were served. Qin Yuxia poured him a drink while asking, “You were so cheerful yesterday, what’s wrong today? What’s making you so upset?”

“Nothing much, let’s not talk about it.” Liu Jing took a sip of his drink and lit another cigarette. Mr. Zhao’s big thing had become an inescapable nightmare for him; the feeling was too unpleasant.

Qin Yuxia didn’t continue, picking up a piece of fish head and chewing it, casually asking, “Hey, I say, you really don’t have a girlfriend?”

Liu Jing hesitated without speaking, picking up a fried shrimp and placing it in his bowl. He didn’t know what to say.

"Is there even a need to think about it? Don't you know whether you have a girlfriend or not?" Qin Yuxia was quite dissatisfied, putting down her chopsticks. "Never mind if you want to say, I was just asking casually."

"You misunderstood, I was just thinking." Liu Jing straightened up, paused, and said, "Strictly speaking, I guess I don't have one." They had chatted for so long, and although they had never met, they had been very sincere. He didn't want to lie.

"Oh." Qin Yuxia seemed to understand, looking him over and saying, "From what you're saying, you have someone in mind? Or rather, you have a potential girlfriend?"

"You could say that." Liu Jing felt a surge of excitement, quite a sense of accomplishment. Potential girlfriend, Qin Yuxia's description was accurate, neither exaggerated nor inaccurate, and it perfectly described his current relationship with Little Tiger, which he liked.

Liu Jing was smug, and Qin Yuxia felt uneasy. She didn't want to, but she couldn't help it, so she raised her hand, downed a glass, and then asked casually, "What does she do?"

"She... never mind her, let's talk about you?" Liu Jing politely poured Qin Yuxia a drink. He didn't want to say much, especially since he knew nothing about her except her name and profession.

"What can I say? You haven't finished yet. Let's continue talking about yourself and see if I can give you some advice." Qin Yuxia placed a piece of food on his plate and then pretended to listen attentively.

Qin Yuxia clearly wanted to hide something, but Liu Jing glanced at her, dissatisfied. "What do you mean you haven't said anything? For example, do you have a boyfriend? Are you married? Do you have children? Can't you tell me these things?" Qin Yuxia lowered

her head, sipping her drink as if considering her options.

Liu Jing glanced at her but didn't press further, turning his gaze to the window. Life is similar yet different; everyone has secrets they don't share, perhaps different kinds of sadness. He had no reason to force her. A

brief silence fell between them, broken only by the constant chatter of the other diners. Outside, lights flickered, people came and went, and an Audi parked on the other side of the entrance. A man and a woman got out and, led by a waiter, walked towards the door.

Qin Yuxia took a deep breath, looked up at him, and said, "You really want to know?"

"It's alright, you don't have to tell me if you don't want to." Liu Jing was somewhat absent-minded, yet he eagerly looked up again. The couple looked somewhat familiar; he hadn't recognized them clearly just now.

"Alright, I'll tell you, I..."

Qin Yuxia was shocked to see Liu Jing staring at the front hall, his face changing drastically, looking pained and unwilling. She turned around and saw a man leading a girl inside, politely ushering them in.

The couple was none other than Zhao Tonghai and Zheng Fangxi. Liu Jing's heart churned with unimaginable speed, his chest swelling instantly, feeling extremely suffocated, depressed, and bitter—it was utterly unbearable.

Qin Yuxia turned around, looking at him with a hint of pity: "Hey, are you alright?"

Before Liu Jing could speak, President Zhao had already seen him, his cheerful voice coming from the doorway: "Oh! What a coincidence, isn't this Xiao Liu? Having dinner with your girlfriend?"

Liu Jing's expression was blank, his body stiff, and he nodded from afar, his eyes revealing an indescribable pain. Why? Why her? Why did I have to see her? In an instant, that ugly thing of President Zhao crawled into his brain again. Perhaps this didn't mean anything, but he just couldn't stand it, it was too damn painful!

Zheng Fangxi was also stunned, and after a brief moment of astonishment, her eyes immediately blazed with anger. That scoundrel, he was sweet-talking me this morning, and he's already exposed himself in less than a day! She glared at him from afar, then turned her head away, snorting through her nose.

The little tiger is angry? Good for him! Almost a day had passed, and Liu Jing finally showed a knowing smile. At this moment, he desperately needed Fangxi's anger to calm his frustration. He was still a little embarrassed, and subconsciously tried to get up.

"No need to stand up, Xiao Liu, no need to stand up, you eat, I'll go in!" Zhao Tonghai nodded enthusiastically, then pointed inside, "Come on, Xiao Fang, let's go sit down."

Damn! Xiao Fang? That address... is so damn tacky! Liu Jing cursed inwardly, feeling even more annoyed, his eyes filled with endless sorrow as he stared at the little tiger in the distance.

Zheng Fangxi raised her chin, giving him a cold look, and as she sat down, she quickly turned around and spat.

Qin Yuxia was looking at her, and the two met face to face. The little tiger had only seen her back, but now that he saw her face, he felt inexplicably more at ease, because of her age.

"What does it matter to me who that scoundrel associates with?" Fangxi thought for a moment, then sat down proudly.

Liu Jing smiled bitterly, picked up his glass and drank it all in one gulp, then grabbed the wine bottle next to him and poured himself some more wine. He was really depressed!

Qin Yuxia had been looking back and forth for a while before finally managing to ask, "Who's that girl? Your fiancée?"

Liu Jing, his emotions complicated, slammed down his wine bottle, paused, and said, "The man is my company's CEO."

His answer was irrelevant, but Qin Yuxia understood. She glanced at him bitterly, then looked away. The neon lights outside the window danced softly in her eyes, reflecting her melancholic and alluring expression.

Five months—a full five months. Although they had never met, across an invisible internet connection, Liu Jing had been there for her through the most lost and helpless five months of her life. It might be hard to believe, but it was true. Yet, she hadn't expected that at this moment, she would feel an uncontrollable jealousy. She finally understood that in those five months of endless communication, she had unknowingly poured too much dependence into this young man.

The two fell silent. Liu Jing smoked, occasionally drinking in silence, his eyes never leaving that straightforward figure. On the other side, Fang Xi never glanced at him, while Zhao Tonghai was all smiles, pouring wine and serving food, chatting and laughing.

Liu Jing grew increasingly depressed and unbearable as he looked. Although it was only a brief encounter, Little Tiger had completely filled his heart, which had been empty for many years. The joy of their first meeting and the pain of seeing each other again tormented him throughout the day.

He couldn't understand whether it was fate's arrangement that was too bizarre or destiny's cruel joke. He had pursued a dream for many years, finally meeting someone he liked, then meeting someone he met online for the first time, and now. He didn't really care that Little Tiger saw him with Qin Yuxia, but why did President Zhao have to be there too?

He wasn't a petty person, nor did he care about President Zhao, but that big guy was just too disgusting! This feeling wasn't anger or jealousy, it was just depression, so incredibly depression! His intuition told him that Little Tiger and President Zhao were nothing, but seeing that kind of mess, and then seeing the protagonist of that mess with the woman he loved, was unbearable

. Qin Yuxia sat opposite him, glancing at him every now and then, her expression complex and filled with heartache.

"I'm aboveboard, what's there to be afraid of!" Liu Jing, unable to bear it any longer, decided to investigate thoroughly. He had to find out. He didn't want much; just to prove that Little Tiger and President Zhao weren't what Xu Yan said, he could at least feel at ease.

Liu Jing downed his drink in one gulp, refilled it, took a deep drag on his cigarette, threw it down, the embers slid through the air and fell freely. He stomped it out, steadily picked up his glass, and stood up.

"You little man!" Qin Yuxia turned her head away in anguish, suddenly cursing him.

"What did you say?" Liu Jing asked, his tone imposing.

"Go if you want, pretend I didn't say anything." Qin Yuxia's face was so sour it was unbearable to look at.

This woman had changed so much! Liu Jing had no time for her. He puffed out his chest and strode away, displaying the heroic spirit of the ancient knight-errant of Jingzhou.

Alcohol emboldens heroes, that's true, but there's a question of quantity. Liu Jing was better off not drinking; one glass was enough, two glasses were barely enough. Tonight he'd had about three or four glasses, already quite drunk.

Chapter Eight: Testing

the Waters Night fell, the city was quiet and beautiful. The Causeway Bay restaurants were brightly lit and bustling with people. Diners relaxed, enjoying delicious food after a long day. The high speed of modern cities had made tranquility a luxury.

Liu Jing and Yu Xia, General Manager Zhao and Fang Xi, two couples who unexpectedly met, sat not far apart. Their different moods allowed them to experience different feelings, not just about food.

Zhao Tonghai glanced at them from afar, then placed a crab on Fang Xi's plate: "That's Xiao Liu from our joint sales department. He's the one who signed your municipal youth league contract. You should have met him today, right?"

"Yes," Fang Xi replied, a vague feeling rising in her heart as she lowered her head and gripped her wine glass.

Zhao Tonghai lit a cigarette and glanced at Liu Jing again: "Xiao Fang, why do I feel like the way he looks at you is a bit off? Like he's avoiding my gaze. What's going on between you two? Did you bully him again?"

"I bully... he bullies me more!" Fang Xi, who was stuffing something into her mouth, quickly spat it out, "When he came today, I was drinking water, and he showed up without a word, scaring me half to death! I even sprayed water up my nose! He also spouted a bunch of nonsense. Anyway, it was really infuriating. You guys get bonuses for signing contracts, so I... don't want to sign for him."

"Hehe, that's how it is in sales." General Manager Zhao shook his head with a smile, then pointed at her, "But Xiao Fang, you're too much of a troublemaker. I heard you fired one of our salespeople yesterday. Isn't that disrespecting Brother Hai?"

"How could that be? Anyway, I'm signing, so I have to pick someone I like." Fang Xi unconsciously glanced at him. She had been thoroughly defeated at their first meeting, and she couldn't even understand her own feelings. Upon seeing Liu Jing with another woman, she was not only angry but also quite awkward.

Zhao Tonghai, with a cigarette dangling from his lips, looked helpless. The little tiger turned around and glared fiercely: "I've been ripped off, I'll make him pay sooner or later!"

"Don't be silly!" Boss Zhao glanced at him from afar, then smiled and said, "Xiao Fang, actually, our Xiao Liu is quite nice. If he didn't have a girlfriend, I'd like to introduce you to him."

"He—!" The little tiger's mouth dropped open, slightly embarrassed. "Please spare me, he... he's a scoundrel."

"Hehe, is that so?" Zhao Tonghai didn't continue, but asked with concern, "Xiao Fang, it's been a few months since you broke up with Yuan Kai, are you still in contact?"

Boss Zhao brushed past Liu Jing, then suddenly turned to Yuan Kai. Fang Xi was clearly unprepared, and after a slight surprise, shook her head and said, "Not for a long time. I didn't like him at all. If it weren't for the fact that he came all the way to S City to pursue me, and I felt a little sorry for him, I would never have dated him!"

"It's good that you're not in contact." Zhao Tonghai nodded, seemingly relieved, then sighed deeply, "But after all, he was your first love, I'm worried you might do something rash!"

"No way! We just have a normal relationship, we've only met a few times." Fang Xi wrinkled her nose, twirling her wine glass in her hand. "But I'm quite upset, he came all this way, and then left after just a few days. I've inexplicably gotten the reputation of being dumped, it's so unfair!"

"Hehe, it's your own fault too. Who told you to not bring back a boyfriend during your four years of college?" President Zhao had a cigarette between his fingers, a friendly smile on his face, exuding the air of a successful man.

Fang Xi tilted her head and sighed, "It's not that I don't want to, but my classmates are all scattered all over the country. Even if I find someone suitable, we'll most likely have to part ways after graduation. Rather than making things difficult, it's better to be free and independent!"

"Well said, being able to think like that shows you've grown up!" Zhao Tonghai praised her, then sighed, "Wow, so many years have passed in the blink of an eye! I didn't expect our little Fang to have grown up so much! Come on, Fang, let me toast you to your growth!"

"Thank you, Brother Hai."

After the two finished drinking, Zhao Tonghai, with a cigarette in his mouth, was diligently pouring more wine when he suddenly noticed Liu Jing carrying a wine glass, swaying slightly as he walked over. He smiled and quickly filled his own glass. Fang Xi also turned around, a rare occurrence, and gave a loud snort.

Liu Jing swayed to the table where the two were sitting, quickly glanced at the little tiger, and raised his hand, saying, "President Zhao, what a coincidence today, it's the first time! Let me toast you!" This kid has this ability; no matter how drunk he is, as long as he can still speak, he won't stutter. Of course, the main problem was that he couldn't drink enough; he definitely didn't have enough.

Seeing that he could still speak fluently, General Manager Zhao politely stood up, clinked his glass with his own, and said, "Good! Good! Come on, Xiao Liu, bottoms up!"

The two drank it all in one gulp, and General Manager Zhao showed the bottom of his glass before sitting down. Liu Jing let out a burp, his hand on the table: "General Manager Zhao,

you're so free today, you have time to come for a drink?" This guy was starting to probe. Zheng Fangxi held her wine glass, her pretty face tense, not even looking at him. General Manager Zhao glanced at her and explained, "Didn't you sign the contract with the Municipal Youth League Committee today? I specially invited Xiao Fangxi to dinner to express my gratitude."

"Oh." Liu Jing nodded. Fangxi finally rolled her eyes at him.

General Manager Zhao glanced at the two of them and said cheerfully, "Xiao Fang, you and Xiao Liu have already met today, let me introduce you again. Liu Jing, a Party member, a very good comrade, a very promising young man in our company."

Liu Jing's hazy eyes suddenly brightened, thinking, "Go on, go on, go on, what's your relationship?"

General Manager Zhao paused after speaking, looking intently at Fang Xi, as if waiting for her to say something. Liu Jing was impatient and blurted out, "General Manager Zhao, so Officer Zheng... is your sister-in-law?"

Liu Jing's words were startling. Little Tiger flinched, his hand trembled, almost knocking over his wine glass, and he immediately glared at him.

Mr. Zhao was also taken aback, then laughed and cried at the same time: "Where did you get that idea? I've been looking at her for ages, do you think it's true? Xiao Fang is my younger sister, our families have been friends for generations!"

"Oh...I see!" Liu Jing felt a weight lifted from her heart, overjoyed, almost bursting into laughter.

"That's right, you can't just call her that like that anymore!" Mr. Zhao explained generously, his tone tinged with reproach.

"Don't worry, it definitely won't happen again." Liu Jing nodded with a smile, then looked at Fang Xi.

The little tiger, head down, was panting heavily, gritting his teeth in anger, almost crushing his wine glass. That scoundrel, he was just testing me! How dare he… not believe me!

General Manager Zhao glanced at him, then stood up, still holding the wine bottle: "Little Liu, I heard you offended my sister today. Quickly offer her a toast and apologize properly. Here, let me pour you some!"

Liu Jing was startled; his remaining rationality told him he couldn't drink anymore, or he'd lose face. So he quickly stepped aside: "General Manager Zhao, I don't drink, I usually don't drink. I really can't drink anymore today."

The little tiger's eyes suddenly lit up, and he abruptly raised his head, as if he'd discovered a new continent.

"That won't do!" General Manager Zhao sized him up, then stopped, shifting his gaze to Fang Xi, signaling her to make a statement. He was a seasoned drinker and already understood his subordinate's state.

The little tiger was thrilled, standing up with a grin.

Liu Jing inwardly groaned, then grinned and said, "Officer Zheng, I know I offended you today, but I usually only drink one drink at most. Really, how about another day, after I get my bonus, I'll properly apologize to you."

General Manager Zhao also gave Fang Xi a look, indicating that he really couldn't handle it.

"How can that be!" Little Tiger exclaimed excitedly, his eyes sizing up prey. "Liu Jing, you've helped me so much today, I should at least have a drink with you. Come on, I'll drink first!"

"Hey, Fang!" Zhao Tonghai tried to stop him, but Little Tiger had already finished his drink and was smugly swirling the bottom of his glass.

Liu Jing immediately collapsed: "Little... Officer Zheng, what do you mean? I've done so much work for you today, I've done my part, and I already said I'd apologize to you when I get my bonus. Forget the drink, just give me an answer!"

"You want an answer?" Fang Xi couldn't help but cover her mouth and laugh. "Okay, drink one with me first, and I'll give you an answer."

The two of them exchanged words, playing a game of cat and mouse.

Liu Jing, with a mournful face, unconsciously glanced at Zhao Tonghai. General Manager Zhao then advised, "Xiao Fang, Liu really can't drink anymore, let it go. Spitting isn't a big deal, he didn't mean it!"

"Never mind!" Little Tiger grabbed the bottle, raising his chin. "I've already warned you, are you going to drink or not?"

"I...I'll drink!" Liu Jing gritted his teeth and held out his glass.

"Hmph!" Little Tiger glared at him resentfully, secretly pleased with himself, slowly filling the glass, not even letting it foam.

Liu Jing looked at the person in front of him, raised his glass with a flourish, and drank it all in one gulp. Then he showed the bottom of the glass: "I drank it."

"Good, you finished it. Have another one!" Little Tiger was about to pour more wine.

"Drink again? If you drink again, I'll..." Liu Jing quickly moved the glass away, his eyes full of pleading.

General Manager Zhao grabbed Fang Xi's sleeve: "Xiao Fang, just one drink is enough, stop it! His girlfriend is waiting!"

"No way!" Little Tiger pushed him away, shaking the bottle with a cold smile, "Liu Jing, I'll remind you one more time, good things come in pairs. Whether you drink or not is up to you. I'm not forcing you!"

Chapter Nine: A Drunken Night for a Beauty

Liu Jing looked deeply at the person in front of him and calmly nodded: "Good things come in pairs, I'll drink."

The glass was filled again, the bubbles rising continuously, clear like Liu Jing's slightly melancholy eyes. He took a deep breath and slowly brought it to his lips, the glass reflecting Fang Xi's beautiful face.

General Manager Zhao, watching from the side, felt a little sorry for her, shaking his head repeatedly, his heart filled with emotion. What a great salesman, so promising, truly promising!

After the second glass, the alcohol churned, causing a wave of nausea. "Ugh!" Liu Jing gripped the table with one hand and covered his mouth with the other, forcing the cough back down. He then coughed violently, tears streaming down his face.

Zhao Tonghai chuckled and waved his hand: "Alright, Xiao Liu, go back to your girlfriend. Remember to come to my office tomorrow."

"Thank you, Mr. Zhao." Liu Jing didn't even look at Fang Xi, only staring intently at her. "Officer Zheng, may I go back now?"

The little tiger remained silent, staring coldly at him.

Qin Yuxia, who had been watching for a while, couldn't hold back any longer and rushed over to support him: "I told you not to go, but you wouldn't listen! And you're still drinking like this!" She glared at Fang Xi with intense resentment.

Liu Jing glanced at Fang Xi, then staggered away with Yuxia.

Mr. Zhao sighed and scolded, "Fang Xi, you're too reckless!"

"Serves you right!" Zheng Fang Xi glanced at him, pouting as she sat down. Qin Yuxia's gaze made her very uncomfortable.

The two couples sat down, and the hotel returned to normal.

Liu Jing leaned back in his chair, panting heavily. Qin Yuxia poured him a cup of tea, complaining, "You, you clearly can't drink but you're showing off. It's obvious you two aren't that kind of couple, why did you have to go and ask? You're such a jerk and you don't even like it!"

Liu Jing shook his head with a wry smile, "Don't talk nonsense if you don't know the situation. I can't feel at ease without asking."

Qin Yuxia was both angry and jealous, rolling her eyes, but she held back and said, "Fine, don't tell me then. Hurry up and drink some tea to sober up. I just had the waiter refill it; it's still warm."

"Thank you, Yuxia," Liu Jing said sincerely.

Hearing Liu Jing call her name for the first time, a melting light appeared in Qin Yuxia's eyes, like a calm sea, gazing deeply. She sighed softly and said quietly, "If it weren't for the fact that you're so young, do you think I'd be willing to help you?"

Liu Jing didn't pay much attention to this, and was busy sipping his tea.

Once Liu Jing's complexion improved slightly, Yu Xia asked, "Are you feeling better? If you are, let's settle the bill and go."

"Okay." Liu Jing nodded, reluctantly turning his head to look back, only to be surprised to find Little Tiger holding a cup in one hand and a bottle in the other, walking towards him provocatively. His head buzzed, and he almost fell to the ground.

Fang Xi walked up to him, glanced at Yu Xia contemptuously, and then looked at him with a smile.

Liu Jing said bitterly, "Little Tiger, why are you here again? Aren't we all in pairs?" Fang Xi chuckled and raised her chin, saying, "You toasted me just now, now it's my turn to toast you, it's a matter of reciprocity!"

Liu Jing was helpless and pleaded, "I really can't drink anymore, please don't force me!" Fang Xi sneered, "Now you know what it feels like to be forced? How did you force me! But don't worry, I'm not as shameless as you, whether you drink or not is up to you."

"This..." Liu Jing looked at Yu Xia for help.

Qin Yuxia stared at him, heartbroken, without uttering a word.

Fang Xi glared at her, then brought her face close to Liu Jing's, saying each word clearly, "You shameless scoundrel, you bullied me like that, and now you want to escape? Not so easy! Let me tell you, if you drink, I'll consider it, you still have a fifty percent chance. If you don't drink, you... you're zero percent!"

Liu Jing looked at her melancholy. After drinking, Fang Xi's eyes were like pools of water, seemingly both angry and reproachful. Under the lamplight, her red lips and white teeth shimmered, like peach blossoms in spring, full of charm and allure, truly captivating.

Fang Xi was still glaring at him, but Liu Jing felt a sense of peace and nodded, saying, "Okay, I'll drink."

"Hmph!" Fang Xi stared at Yuxia and gulped down the wine.

Qin Yuxia turned her head away, gazing at the night outside the window.

The wine was poured, and Liu Jing closed his eyes, drank it in one gulp, and gently put it down: "Pour some more."

"Fine, I'll pour!" The little tiger was a bit flustered, but still resolutely poured it down.

Qin Yuxia turned back, watching the beer foam rise and expand, sighed, and turned away again. The bright lights outside the window reflected in her eyes, like countless flames of helplessness flickering within.

Liu Jing steadily picked up his glass, looking at her without regret: "Fangxi, I'll drink as much as you want today, as long as it makes your heart flutter, makes your heart ache."

"You..." Little Tiger hesitated, somewhat at a loss.

Liu Jing brought the glass to his lips, and Fangxi watched the beer disappear from the glass, the glass clear and bright.

After downing that glass of beer, Liu Jing was truly doomed; his stomach churned, and he quickly covered his mouth. Fangxi stood nervously to the side, clearly seeing vomit spilling from between his fingers, her heart pounding.

Liu Jing couldn't hold it in any longer and staggered towards the bathroom.

"Are you satisfied now!" Qin Yuxia tossed out a sentence, quickly helping him to the bathroom.

Fangxi stared blankly at the two of them, her heart filled with indescribable emotions. Zhao Tonghai rushed over, glanced at her, and said, "Xiao Fang, it's not that I'm criticizing you, but you went too far. How could you do that in front of someone's girlfriend..."

Fang Xi followed blankly, not hearing anything.

"Ugh—!" Liu Jing, with astonishing willpower, made it to the bathroom, bent over, and vomited uncontrollably.

Qin Yuxia patted his back, angrily saying, "You, what kind of woman could you like? Why embarrass yourself in front of so many people? Was it worth it?"

"I told you, you don't know the situation? It's not her fault, it's...it's my fault! Ugh—!"

"Just keep being stubborn, see if someone plays you to death one day!"

The bathroom light was dim, and being at the intersection of two lights, the chaotic noise occasionally drifted in, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere. Fang Xi watched from afar, her expression blank, then suddenly lowered her head and hurriedly returned to her seat.

Liu Jing's vomiting was so intense it was like the world had turned upside down; he almost threw up his entire stomach. Finally, he finished vomiting. Dizzy and disoriented, he leaned against Yu Xia, his vision blurry, tears and snot streaming down his face, gasping for breath.

Qin Yu Xia wanted Liu Jing to rinse his mouth, but he was clearly too weak to do so. She hastily wiped his mouth a couple of times and dragged him back to his seat like a dead dog.

Liu Jing slumped in the chair, arms outstretched, drool dripping from the corner of his mouth. Yu Xia looked at him with pity and sighed, "Hang in there, I'll go pay the bill."

Liu Jing's head was throbbing, buzzing wildly. He tilted his head in agreement.

Yu Xia hurried away. Liu Jing struggled to lift his head, trying to see the little tiger in the distance, but the scene before him was distorted, with many figures swirling in his mind. He shook his head and finally found the figure.

General Manager Zhao waved his hand, as if saying something to him. Fang Xi lowered her head, motionless, looking as if in great pain, whether regretting her actions or realizing her mistake was unclear. He felt a sharp pain in his heart. The dizziness, the nausea in his stomach, the bitterness in his mouth—none of it compared to this agonizing chill.

He tried to struggle to his feet, to tell her not to do this, but he was powerless; even the vibrant colors before his eyes were slowly fading.

When Yu Xia returned, Liu Jing was almost unconscious. She didn't say anything more, slung her bag over her shoulder, hoisted one arm over her shoulder, and dragged him out with difficulty.

President Zhao bowed slightly, seemingly hesitant to offer help. Fang Xi looked up, her tiger-like eyes shining brightly, and quickly ran forward, mimicking Yu Xia's actions, hoisting Liu Jing's other arm over her shoulder.

Qin Yu Xia glanced at her but didn't speak. The two women silently dragged him out.

Outside, the night sky was brilliant, the stars twinkling gently. A night breeze swept in, and Liu Jing seemed to regain some clarity. He looked hazily at the person beside him, his intuition telling him he wasn't mistaken. Fang Xi lowered her head, her breathing rapid, her slightly flushed face tense, lost in thought.

Yu Xia recognized Liu Jing's car and offered to lead the way, the two of them helping Liu Jing into the car.

"Help me," Yu Xia instructed.

Fang Xi reached under Liu Jing's armpits and hugged him tightly. Yu Xia found the car keys, and the two of them tucked Liu Jing into the back seat. Yu Xia took a breath and looked at the person beside her. Fang Xi suddenly realized something and said softly, "I'll go get it."

Fang Xi turned around, and President Zhao had appeared at some point, standing smiling at the door, holding Liu Jing's small bag. She went forward and took it, her face flushing slightly.

Fang Xi silently turned back and handed the bag to Yu Xia.

Yu Xia casually took the car, glancing at her twice: "He and I are just online friends, we've known each other for five months, and today... is just our first meeting. You don't need to overthink it. I think he's pretty good in every way. If you're really interested, consider it carefully. If not, find an opportunity to talk things out with him. Men aren't meant to be tormented."

Fang Xi's face was tense, biting her lip, saying nothing, her heart pounding.

Yu Xia slammed the car door shut, the car sped onto the highway, breaking through the wind, and drove off. Fang Xi looked up, watching the car disappear into the distance, leaving only the long lines of streetlights on both sides.

Fang Xi stomped her foot, finally bursting into tears of grievance: "Ugh, forcing me to drink! If I can't drink, I shouldn't drink! Why!"

Chapter Ten: The Beautiful Young Widow

The night was enchanting, stirring the soul, even the stars seemed intoxicated.

Qin Yu Xia drove skillfully, the wind blowing through her hair, the streetlights flashing past, illuminating her sexy face. Liu Jing lay asleep in the back like a corpse, his hand on his stomach, a faint smile still lingering on his face.

Qin Yuxia wanted to laugh; fate had once again mocked her for this meeting. Emotions were complex, like the glittering world outside the window. She didn't know what awaited her after this meeting, when the sun rose again tomorrow—warmth or sorrow.

The gatepost of the residential complex stood alone in the night wind. Qin Yuxia turned in, her car moving faster than the wind itself. Amidst the myriad lights of the buildings ahead, one was dark—her home.

Yuxia parked the car and dragged Liu Jing out. Taking a deep breath, she gritted her teeth, whirled around, and hoisted Liu Jing onto her back. It might not be difficult for a man to carry or hold a woman, but the reverse is entirely different, even if she was strong, even if she was a policewoman, a super policewoman. Fortunately, she didn't live on a high floor, only on the second floor.

Qin Yuxia opened the door, went inside, and threw him directly onto the bed. After the bumpy ride, Liu Jing seemed to regain some consciousness, uttering muffled sounds as if in a dream. Yu Xia, utterly exhausted, sat slumped on the bed, panting heavily.

The room was dark, only the faint starlight filtering in from the window. She gazed quietly at the face before her, a slightly melancholic yet handsome face, tinged with innocent naivety. She smiled, a smile she hadn't shown in a long time, reaching out her slender hand to gently stroke it with the back of her fingers. For five months, she had been grateful to this young man, but upon meeting him, she realized it wasn't gratitude, but a need. Her outward strength couldn't conceal her inner vulnerability; she was a woman, forever dependent on someone.

Suddenly, Liu Jing smiled in his sleep, a ray of sunlight trailing at the corner of his mouth. Yu Xia withdrew her hand, a bitter feeling welling up inside her. She knew that smile wasn't for her.

She sighed and got up, taking off her outer clothes to change into her nightgown. As her bra came off, her full, firm breasts bounced out. She paused, then smiled, admiring her proud body. Starlight bathed her snow-white skin, making both the bright and shadowy glows exquisitely beautiful; she loosened her long hair, the ends teasingly brushing against her healthy, mature body.

Beside her, the soft, large bed held her past dreams. A single woman's double bed, yet she could no longer find the familiar scent of sweat, nor could she return to those mornings when she went to work with satisfaction and confidence.

The young man on the bed was still fast asleep. Yu Xia shrugged, making a self-deprecating expression, changed into her pajamas, and went to the bathroom to fill a basin with warm water. Returning to the room, she sat on the edge of the bed, dampened a towel, and carefully wiped his face. The water was lukewarm, just the right temperature. It felt wonderful; Liu Jing slowly relaxed his skin.

Seeing this, Yu Xia chuckled and scolded softly, "Little man."

"Cough! Cough cough!" The end of the towel irritated his nose, and Liu Jing suddenly coughed, spitting out vomit from his mouth and nose. Though not much, it stained his clothes. Yu Xia quickly helped him up, gently patting his back with her slender hand, and bent down to pick up the basin.

Liu Jing had nothing more to vomit. Yu Xia put down the basin, placed her hand on his shoulder, and wiped his face again. Liu Jing, dazed, suddenly murmured, "Little tiger, don't be sad, I don't blame you, really... I don't blame you."

Yu Xia's heart ached instantly, filled with bitterness.

Losing his support, Liu Jing buried his face in her arms. Yu Xia composed herself and held him firmly.

Perhaps it was the beauty, perhaps the suffocation, or perhaps the feeling was too distant, Liu Jing opened his hazy eyes. The sight before him made his breathing quicken, and a certain consciousness told him that it was a pair of enormous breasts.

That night was somewhat chaotic, somewhat ambiguous, and somewhat restless.

Time flowed silently. Liu Jing drifted along, seeing many beautiful scenes, some far away, some near, yet all so clear.

He saw a beautiful summer, the sunlight gentle, cicadas chirping overhead, and him sitting under a large tree. Armand wept, embracing the dying Marguerite, and he wept for him, tears that have flowed to this day, never drying. He saw a cold spring, a quiet night, a girl nestled tenderly beside him. Edward and Vivian kissed happily, his chest heaving with emotion. Then, under the vast, still night sky, he stood silently, lost in thought; on the snow-covered path, she silently departed. He wanted to ask why, but he didn't. He didn't care about the person, but he cared about the sacrifice; he had even forgotten the person, yet he couldn't help but cherish his brief and pitiful first love.

(Author's note: Armand and Marguerite are the protagonists of the French novel *La Dame aux Camélias*; édouard and Vivian are the protagonists of the American film *Pretty Woman*, a 1990 Hollywood production starring Richard Gere and Julia Roberts.)

Another spring has arrived, a spring where the sun is as gentle as the moon. He found the person he had been searching for so long. He could never forget that moment of terror, never. That girl, somewhat vibrant, somewhat frank, somewhat beautiful, somewhat fiery, somewhat unique; that girl who could spray water, swear, care, drink, and throw things around. That night was so gentle, yet so cool. He saw her head bowed in fear, and his heart ached. He longed to look at her, hold her, comfort her, stay with her, protect her—for a lifetime, a lifetime as long as eternity.

Where is she? Where is she? What night is it? Who is beside her? To whom does that suffocating desire belong? Who? Touched her breasts? No, absolutely not, this isn't her, no, this isn't real! It can't be!

"No!" Liu Jing shouted, sitting up abruptly, his body swaying as he clutched his throbbing head. "Snap!" The light came on. Liu Jing blinked laboriously; beside him stood a beautiful, sexy woman.

"You're awake? Have some water." Yu Xia handed him a steaming cup of tea.

Liu Jing took it, looking at her and asking, "What time is it? Where am I?" Yu Xia sat up, smoothing her disheveled hair, and leaned against the headboard. "It's a little past two. You're at my place."

"Your place?" Liu Jing, drunk and forgetful, was a little worried.

"Yes, my place." Yu Xia's eyes were suggestive, her sexy lips moving slightly. "You're completely drunk, and I don't know your place. I can't exactly take you to a hotel."

"Oh." Liu Jing's heart pounded. He lowered his head to drink, only to be shocked to find himself wearing only shorts.

After a few sips, he felt much better and slowly turned his head. Qin Yuxia wore a silk nightgown as thin as a silkworm's wing, its neckline plunging low, revealing a pair of voluptuous breasts.

Liu Jing felt his throat go dry, nervously probing, "Did I...do something?"

"You don't know what you did?" Yuxia looked at him with bright eyes, her tone nonchalant.

Liu Jing's heart leaped, his hair standing on end, and he asked again, "Really?"

"It's okay, you can pretend you didn't do anything." Yuxia's tone was indifferent, her beautiful face calm and expressionless.

Liu Jing turned around, staring intently at her, and asked again, "Tell the truth, did I really do it?"

Yuxia chuckled, beautifully, "Since you say so, then I didn't."

"Oh dear!" Liu Jing handed her the cup, painfully rubbing his forehead, utterly dejected. Fate had played another cruel joke on him. After so many years of waiting, this was the result. He didn't even know what to feel, just like his damned first love. And Little Tiger, he felt so sorry for her. He didn't even know how he would face her after dawn!

Seeing his expression, Yu Xia chuckled, "Hey, do you really need to be like this?" Liu Jing sighed, gazing at the darkness outside the window, and said weakly, "I'm fine. I'm sorry."

"Why are you under so much pressure? Didn't I tell you? You can pretend you didn't do it." Yu Xia's voice was filled with a smile, her beautiful face beaming.

Liu Jing shook his head, frowning as he asked, "You didn't resist?"

"I'm exhausted from getting you home, how could I have the strength to resist?" Yu Xia rolled her eyes at him, saying calmly, "Besides, you were so drunk, so unreasonable and domineering, what was the point of me resisting? I'd just suffer!"

Liu Jing was still not satisfied and asked again, "But...but aren't you a policeman?"

"I'm a traffic cop, not an armed policeman," Yu Xia slowly brought her face closer to him, staring at him, "And I didn't even intend to resist, so you should be relieved now, little man?"

Liu Jing smiled bitterly, glancing at her with annoyance, but then noticed something on the bedside table. His heart leaped again, and he asked with trembling hands, "What...what is that?"

Yu Xia grabbed it and handed it to him. Liu Jing glanced at her, then carefully took it. It was a small portrait frame with two policemen on it. Yu Xia was nestled against one of them, her smile beautiful and happy; the other was a male policeman, tall and handsome, his eyes seemingly sparkling with hope. Of course, this was just a feeling; he should be at least a few years older, because in the photo, Yu Xia was just a young girl with a rank (referring to her police rank), while the male policeman was already a high-ranking officer.

Sweat broke out on Liu Jing's face as he nervously asked, "Who is this person?"

"My husband."

Liu Jing's head buzzed, and he threw the portrait frame away, clutching his head with both hands. "God! What have I done?"

Yu Xia giggled, put the portrait frame in the drawer, and hugged him from behind. "Don't be afraid! Little man, he's dead."

"What did you say?" Liu Jing asked, his brows furrowed.

Yu Xia smiled calmly: "I said he's dead, I'm a widow, a pretty little widow, are you satisfied now?"

Chapter Eleven You Are My Man

"Qin Yu Xia is actually a little widow! And she even asked him if he was satisfied?"

Liu Jing was not only frustrated and disheartened, but also felt it was utterly absurd and unbelievable! He had kept himself pure for so many years, even abstaining from masturbation, just looking forward to that exciting moment. Now that he had met Little Tiger, hope was right in front of him, but not only was his reputation ruined, but he also couldn't remember what it felt like. The other party not only... but also... God! How cruel you are!

Liu Jing regretted it so much that he wanted to bang his head against the wall! Let the donkey kick him! Let the door slam him!

Seeing his extremely frustrated appearance, Yu Xia laughed incessantly, almost choking on her own laughter! Liu Jing clearly felt her amazingly large breasts wriggling against his bare back through the thin nightgown.

Liu Jing sighed, but still asked politely, "How did he die?" Yu Xia stopped laughing, a hint of sorrow in her eyes, and a bitter smile appeared on her lips: "He was a criminal police officer. He died in the line of duty."

"How long ago?"

"Six months." Yu Xia unconsciously hugged him tighter and buried her head on his shoulder.

Liu Jing's heart skipped a beat. He slowly turned his head, looking at the woman on his shoulder, as if finally realizing something. Qin Yuxia's husband had been dead for six months, and the two of them had talked for five months—five of the most desolate months of her life, especially because of his poem: "Do not say that life is always like a dream, what is there to worry about with a husband?" He understood Qin Yuxia's feelings somewhat. In just one night, those occasional jealousies, her protection of him, her heartfelt care, and the courage she showed—the only reason was that, unknowingly, he had grown from a boy into a man, Yuxia's man, even without that one night.

Liu Jing was moved and grateful, but a heavy weight and worry weighed on his heart.

As if knowing what he was thinking, Yuxia whispered in his ear, "Don't worry, I won't bother you. Go find your Little Tiger. She has fallen in love with you; I can tell."

"Thank you." Mentioning Little Tiger, Liu Jing felt another wave of regret. What a wonderful girl! After so many years, he had finally met her, just one step away, only one step, yet he had done this.

Liu Jing hung his head dejectedly, sighing repeatedly, and even said "thank you." Yu Xia felt a pang of bitterness and unease in her heart. She understood that although he hadn't said it aloud, this young man was probably filled with resentment towards her.

Yu Xia perked up and leaned closer, asking, "Hey, this isn't your first time, is it?"

Liu Jing said indifferently, "If I said yes, would you believe me?"

"I believe you were my first time yesterday," Yu Xia smiled.

Liu Jing glanced at her but didn't speak. Yu Xia looked him over, disbelievingly saying, "College students these days are so open-minded. You've been to university for four years, I don't believe you've never had a girlfriend? Never been with anyone?"

Liu Jing said weakly, "I'm different from them. I never mess around, I'm still a virgin."

"You have a virginity complex?" Yu Xia asked seriously.

"Not really, but I can't say I don't."

"Then I don't understand?" Yu Xia leaned closer, trying to read something from his face. Liu Jing sighed, "I just want to find someone I like and experience our first time together. I think that kind of love is more ideal."

Yu Xia was even more puzzled, "That's not strange, but why are you so insistent?"

"Everyone has ideals, and this is mine. What's so strange about it?" Liu Jing forced a smile, removing her arm from his neck. "Never mind, let's not talk about it anymore. Where are my clothes?"

Yu Xia knelt on the bed, looking at him and asking, "Your clothes were soiled by your vomit, so I washed them. What are you going to do with them?" Liu Jing sighed again, finally saying, "Do you have any other rooms in your house?"

"You've already done it, why are you still so concerned!" Yu Xia rolled her eyes at him, both dissatisfied and disdainful.

"I've already made a mistake once, I don't want to make another one." Liu Jing got up and got out of bed.

"Come back!" Yu Xia suddenly pulled him back, plopping down in his lap.

"Yu Xia, you..." Liu Jing looked troubled and terrified.

Yu Xia hugged his neck, smiling sadly, "You're leaving tomorrow, you probably won't see me again, right?" Liu Jing smiled awkwardly. Although he hadn't thought about it that way, he knew he would do it, he definitely would.

Yu Xia was helpless and bitter, but calm: "I've only had two men in my life. One is dead, and you're my second man, also leaving. There are still a few hours until dawn. Let me lean on you for a while. I won't let you make a mistake."

Liu Jing nodded, his movements small but without hesitation. He wasn't sure if this was right or wrong, but he knew he couldn't refuse, because he had no right to hurt anyone.

Yu Xia's eyes were a little moist, and she happily nestled into his arms; Liu Jing stretched out his arms and gently embraced the first woman in his life. In this deep night, on the eve of parting, there was no need for passion, no need for bitterness, just a gentle embrace—what was wrong with that?

"Do you need to go to the bathroom?" Yu Xia asked.

"No."

"Then lie down."

Yu Xia gently pushed him, crawled over to turn off the light, then pulled the blanket and slid into his arms, as happy as a child.

The night wind blew outside the window, all was silent, and inside, the gauze curtains were lightly drawn, so quiet that only the starlight remained. A very subtle feeling suddenly welled up in Liu Jing's heart; he felt that the woman in his arms was truly beautiful, truly wonderful.

Yu Xia was as docile as a kitten, her slender hands stroking his face incessantly, a peculiar sensation washing over her. Yu Xia looked up, her eyes wide, staring at him. "By the way, Liu Jing, this scar of yours is so hideous, so terrifying! How did you get it? I was startled when I first saw it, it was so horrible!"

"Hideous and terrifying? Can't you talk? That's called cool!" Liu Jing's chest immediately filled with excitement, and he smiled. "Actually, it's nothing much, just a mark of one of my most heroic and fearless deeds."

"Heh! Look how smug you are! Tell me, what happened?" Yu Xia's tone was teasing, but she couldn't hide the excitement in her eyes.

"Never mind, let's not talk about it." Liu Jing felt embarrassed.

"Ugh! Just tell me! Don't keep me in suspense!" Yu Xia sat up and grabbed him.

Liu Jing looked down at her scar, smiled, and said, "Actually, it's nothing. I got it during my university internship. It was an accident, but it was quite dangerous. I guess I escaped with my life."

"Really? Tell me clearly, what exactly happened?"

"Hmm..." Liu Jing hesitated for a moment, seemingly relieved for himself while also carefully choosing his words: "Before graduating from university, I interned at a machinery factory in Northwest China. One day, a cutting machine malfunctioned, and a wheel flew off. It was a machine for cutting steel ingots, with an astonishing rotation speed; it could slice a person through the skin. I happened to be nearby installing a grinding wheel on another machine, and in a moment of panic, I used my own grinding wheel to block the wheel. It was a one-inch grinding wheel, quite thick, but it was still cut in two. Fortunately, most of the force was absorbed, leaving this scar on my right chest. I was bedridden for a month, so you could say I escaped with my life."

Liu Jing spoke calmly, but Yu Xia was horrified. Cutting machines typically rotate at speeds exceeding 6,000 revolutions per minute, with even the most common ones reaching 3,600 revolutions per minute. Although the speed would decrease significantly after the wheel flew off, the danger was far beyond what could be described in a few words.

Yu Xia breathed heavily, her slender hand trembling as she touched his right chest. The scar was twenty centimeters long, a gaping wound, and judging from the surgical sutures, it was probably nearly an inch deep. She was both horrified and heartbroken.

"I didn't expect you to be so quick-witted, not scared enough to fall off. That's quite brave." Yu Xia looked at him and smiled with satisfaction. "Alright, I, Qin Yu Xia, am glad to have you as my little man. I accept it, no regrets."

Liu Jing didn't know whether to laugh or cry, and said embarrassedly, "You're exaggerating. Actually... it was just an unconscious act. To be honest, when I was recovering later, I was... still scared."

Yu Xia smiled, her eyes flickered, and suddenly she leaned down and gently licked his scars with her fragrant tongue, her huge breasts caressing his abdomen through his pajamas.

"Hey, Yu Xia..."

"Don't make a fuss! I'm healing your wounds!"

Yu Xia was initially moved, but now she was mostly half-joking and half-playful, but Liu Jing was very touched, truly touched, and couldn't describe the feeling in his heart. A slight tingling sensation spread through his chest. Liu Jing frowned and said, "Hey, I told you to heal your wounds, so why are you touching my nipples? Do you think you can just touch them like that?"

Yu Xia giggled, "Tonight you're my man. You won't let me use you, but you won't let me touch you either!"

Chapter Twelve Holding You While Sleeping

Liu Jing also laughed, but the feeling was more complicated. They wouldn't be able to see each other again after dawn. Thinking of how she had protected and cared for him last night, he felt quite guilty, and his arms tightened their embrace unconsciously.

Yu Xia's slender hand moved down, grasping his erect penis inside his shorts. It had been hard ever since he lay down. Liu Jing said anxiously, "What are you doing? Yu Xia, didn't we agree not to use it? You're breaking the rules!" Yu Xia planted a sweet kiss on his cheek and chuckled, "I didn't say I was going to use it. I was just surprised. I didn't expect you to be so clever for your age!"

Liu Jing tilted his head and stared at her, puzzled, "Didn't you use it all last night? You didn't just realize it now, did you?"

"You were drunk last night, so I didn't have a chance to praise you!" Yu Xia raised her eyebrows, showing no intention of letting go, sometimes gently stroking it, sometimes lightly stroking it, she seemed to love it. Liu Jing was quite uncomfortable: "Yu Xia, that's enough, let's go to sleep?"

Yu Xia stopped and looked at him seriously: "You really can't let me use it just once?"

"No." Liu Jing shook his head.

Yu Xia was somewhat disappointed, but then raised her beautiful face again: "Then kiss me?"

"I've never kissed anyone, and I want to keep it." Liu Jing shook his head again .

Yu Xia continued, "Then I'll take off my clothes, and you can look at me and touch me?"

"I'm sorry, I want to keep my eyes and hands." Liu Jing shook his head like a rattle-drum.

Yu Xia finally couldn't help but laugh, reluctantly pulling her hand back: "Sigh, meeting a rare animal like you, your little tiger can have a good meal, it's just a pity for me, I helped her for nothing."

"Can we not talk about her?" Liu Jing started to feel uncomfortable again.

Yu Xia ignored her completely, and chuckled: "Tell me, if she finds out that I beat you to it, how will she feel?" Liu Jing sat up abruptly, nervously saying: "Let me tell you, I finally met her, you can't do anything reckless!"

"Heh! You're getting tough now?" Yu Xia retorted sharply, also sitting up, "Now you know you're sorry to her, what were you thinking when you raped me last night?"

"I..." Liu Jing was speechless.

"Alright, lie down." Yu Xia impatiently pushed him down and snuggled closer.

The night continued its gentle embrace.

They lay down again, Liu Jing listless and silent, even his lower body was limp. Yu Xia slapped his chest, displeased, "I'm reminding you, tonight you belong to me, you're not allowed to think about her."

Liu Jing retorted, "How can you blame me? You brought it up first!"

"Just because I brought it up doesn't mean you can think about her?" Yu Xia glared, her eyes like a shimmering lake in the darkness.

Liu Jing said helplessly, "Fine, I'll try not to." Yu Xia rolled over and climbed on top of him, "Liu Jing, you don't need to be so upset. You and she are nothing now, you haven't wronged her!"

"But I'll pretend you are." Liu Jing was stubborn, but he spoke from the heart. Yu Xia frowned, annoyed. "Can't I even reason with you? You raped me, and I didn't say anything, but you feel guilty? Should I take responsibility too?"

"Why are you bringing this up again?" Liu Jing pretended to get up again.

"Alright, alright!" Yu Xia pushed him back. "At worst, I'll consider it seduction, rape, and drugging. The responsibility is all mine. You're a gentleman, is that alright?" Liu Jing was both

amused and exasperated, and could only remain silent. Yu Xia suddenly laughed again, clutching her chest and looking at him. "Speaking of which, I really have to thank her. If she hadn't gotten you drunk, I really wouldn't have had a chance. If she had known it would end like this, even if time could turn back ten thousand times, I believe she wouldn't have chosen this one."

Liu Jing deflated again and didn't say anything.

His manhood was still limp. Yu Xia felt uncomfortable, shrank back, spread her legs, and twisted her groin.

Liu Jing was helpless. "Yu Xia, what are you doing now?"

"Nothing, just trying to get you hard." Yu Xia said not only honestly but also seriously. "It's almost dawn, and you're still so soft. It's uncomfortable talking to you, like something's missing,"

Liu Jing said irritably. "I'm not a saint. As long as you stop mentioning her, I'll naturally get hard."

"Okay! I won't mention her, you said it!" Yu Xia suddenly slid into the covers, pulled down his shorts, and took him in her mouth.

"Oh! Yu Xia, no! I need this too..." Liu Jing groaned, his lower body already inside an incredibly soft place. He struggled to sit up and pulled her close.

"Ugh, you're so annoying!" Yu Xia buried her face in his chest, writhing wildly, her voice trembling with tears. "You little man, you always have to hold onto everything! I'm so uncomfortable!"

Yu Xia's playful squirming made Liu Jing hold her tighter. "I'm sorry, Yu Xia, if you're really uncomfortable, why don't you go to sleep? You won't feel uncomfortable if you're asleep." Yu Xia looked at him with a wronged expression. "Sleeping is fine, but I'm your first woman, you have to give me something, right?"

Liu Jing said awkwardly, "Didn't I give you my first time?" Yu Xia protested, glancing at him sideways. "How can that count? You didn't mean to..." "I know. Besides, what you did was rape, it's called possession."

Liu Jing looked at her stunning face and said sincerely, "Yu Xia, to be honest, I really think you're wonderful, wonderful in every way—your figure, your looks, and your personality. If I hadn't met Little Tiger yesterday, if we had this night together, I would have married you without hesitation. Now, you want me to... keep what I can keep. I've had this ideal for so many years, and even with some flaws, I want to achieve it, just like your name, it can't hide your beauty and purity."

Yu Xia's breathing became rapid, her eyes moistened, and she lowered her head to rest on his shoulder. Liu Jing reached out his other arm and hugged her tightly.

After a long while, Yu Xia raised her head and looked at him, saying, "Alright then, I don't want anything. You just have to promise me one thing, something that has nothing to do with any first time." "

What is it?"

"I'll tell you tomorrow morning." "

Okay, as long as I can do it.

" "You definitely can." Yu Xia smiled, her smile gentle and gratified. "You won't lose anything, and you'll even benefit."

"I promise you." Liu Jing didn't press further; he trusted her.

"Okay, I'm going to sleep." Yu Xia kissed his cheek and was about to lie down when she suddenly remembered something. "By the way, you just said you met Little Tiger yesterday. You didn't just meet her yesterday, did you?"

"That's right, I met her yesterday, yesterday morning."

"Wow! For your perverted ideals, you really have guts, you almost got it all done in one day!" Yu Xia looked at him incredulously, then thought for a moment and said, "So, when we first met, you didn't even know her. You were really aiming to find a girlfriend?"

"Yes, you could say that." Liu Jing readily admitted.

Yu Xia felt a little disappointed and asked unwillingly, "Tell me, what did you feel when you first saw me?" Liu Jing laughed, "I didn't feel anything. You were going to fine me, but I was worried about you."

"You stingy guy," Yu Xia cursed, then sat up again. "I don't believe you wouldn't feel anything, even though I'm a bit older."

"Hey, I did. I only noticed when you left. I thought you were a stunner."

"Before that? You really didn't feel anything at all?" Yu Xia was still not satisfied, determined to persist. Liu Jing thought for a moment and smiled, "Before that, I thought your chest was particularly magnificent, super big."

"You little pervert!" Yu Xia leaned down contentedly, pressing her super big breasts against his chest.

Perhaps because of some tacit understanding, the two fell into a brief silence. Fate often plays tricks, especially on marriage. If the two had recognized each other at their first meeting and then had that one night of passion, would the outcome have been different? Time cannot be reversed, and there are always too many missed opportunities in this world.

Yu Xia sighed softly, then perked up: "Liu Jing, you have good taste. That girl is quite bold; she knew she was wrong after getting you drunk and helped me support you without hesitation. She's got guts, like a little tiger. I think she's pretty good too."

"Of course," Liu Jing said proudly again.

"Go away! Don't praise her in front of me!" Yu Xia slapped him.

"You praised her first, didn't you?" Liu Jing protested.

"I can praise her, but you can't."

Liu Jing sighed helplessly and said, "Weren't you going to sleep? Why aren't you asleep yet?"

"I'm going to sleep now, really going to sleep." Yu Xia reached down with her slender hand and closed her eyes.

"If you're going to sleep, then sleep. Why are you holding me?"

"I haven't had a man in my bed for a long time, and I might not have one again. Let me hold you."

Liu Jing was speechless, utterly speechless.

Qin Yu Xia was asleep, truly asleep, beautifully, holding him.

Chapter Thirteen: Unmarried Father

The early morning sunlight streamed through the window curtains, softly bathing the room in warmth and ambiguity, like a beautiful dream. Liu Jing opened his eyes and found Yu Xia already awake, gazing at him intently beside him. The morning glow illuminated her face, making her look beautiful.

"You're awake. Did you sleep well?" Liu Jing asked.

"Who's like you? You little sleepyhead!" Yu Xia gave him a playful scolding, a blush rising to her beautiful face.

"Well, you can't blame me!" Liu Jing smiled awkwardly. "With you holding that thing, who could sleep?"

Yu Xia chuckled, her beautiful face blooming like a flower, her large breasts trembling slightly. Liu Jing swallowed, his eyes also fixed on her. At this moment, Yu Xia was lying on her side, her hair disheveled, her breasts half-covered, her entire body displaying an alluring curve.

"Yu Xia, you have a really good figure," Liu Jing said sincerely, his eyes fixed on her. A blush crept across Yu Xia's face, and she said sourly, "What's the use? Everyone says big breasts mean no brains, especially when you're such a heartless little man!"

Liu Jing chuckled, sat up, and said, "Who said that? Scientific research has proven that fuller-figured women are smarter because they contain more type III fatty acids, which are particularly helpful for brain cell growth. Fuller-figured women not only have higher IQs, but they are also more talented in childbirth and cooking."

Yu Xia smiled, ignoring his nonsense, and stepped forward to look at him, saying, "You're leaving now, can you hug me one more time?"

Liu Jing nodded. He nodded, opened his arms, and embraced the woman tightly. Yu Xia wrapped her arms around his neck, closed her eyes, and rested her head on his shoulder, savoring what might be her last moment of tenderness.

Liu Jing felt a pang of bitterness, but he had no choice; this was the only outcome. A one-night stand might be something he could easily walk away from, but he couldn't. Even without those five months, just yesterday night, this first woman in his life had given him so much.

As they parted, Liu Jing said emotionally, "Yu Xia, I'm so sorry, but I'll never forget you."

Yu Xia smiled, staring directly into his eyes: "Why are you saying this, like it's a matter of life and death? Don't forget, you promised me one thing and haven't done it yet."

"What thing?" Liu Jing suddenly had a bad feeling; women could be terrifying when they became cunning.

Yu Xia smiled beautifully: "Don't worry, let's get dressed and eat first, then I'll tell you." After saying this

, the two washed up separately. Liu Jing put on his shirt and trousers, and Yu Xia found a suit jacket and handed it to him: "Your clothes aren't dry yet, this is my husband's. You two are about the same size, so

if you don't mind, you can wear it for now." "Okay." Liu Jing accepted it readily; refusing at this moment would undoubtedly be hurtful. After

Liu Jing finished dressing, Yu Xia stared at him blankly, then suddenly threw herself into his arms: "Oh dear, you damn little man, you've made such a mess of me, what am I going to do now?"

Liu Jing looked troubled and could only say: "Yu Xia, didn't you have another condition? Can you tell me now?"

"What's the rush? I'll tell you when the time comes!" Yu Xia pushed him away, turned around, and took off her pajamas, changing right in front of him. Her slender waist, high hips, and trembling breasts shimmered with sensuality and sexiness with every move.

Liu Jing stared blankly for a moment, then quickly swallowed and left. In the living room, Liu Jing found a plastic bag and packed his still-damp clothes. This departure should be a complete break; he didn't want to come back for his clothes, nor did he want to leave any excuses, even though he had taken someone else's suit.

After changing, Yu Xia went to the kitchen and made some breakfast: rice, fried eggs, stir-fried cucumber slices, and a sausage. Although simple, it was quite substantial for breakfast, especially since Yu Xia's cooking skills were as superb as her figure. Yu Xia's

house was spacious and luxuriously decorated. Liu Jing ate while saying, "Everyone says traffic police have the best benefits of all police departments. After seeing your house, I can't help but believe it."

Yu Xia smiled without answering, instead sighing, "Even if it's good, it's useless. Our area is going to be demolished; I won't be able to live in this house for more than a few days."

"Have you found a new place?" “

It’s not that easy.” Yu Xia sighed, shaking her head. “With this relocation, rent and sales prices have skyrocketed. To find a floor, location, and price that suits you, you have to look at them one by one. I’m quite busy with work and don’t like the hassle. I’m really worried about it.”

Liu Jing thought for a moment and said, “I have a friend at the real estate center. Do you want me to give him your number so he can contact you?” Yu Xia smiled faintly, seemingly annoyed but also slightly reproachful: “Sure, then I’ll trouble you.”

“It’s nothing, don’t mention it.” Liu Jing was a little embarrassed because he didn’t want any further involvement between them, so he didn’t offer to help her personally.

After breakfast, the two went downstairs. Outside, the morning breeze was gentle, and the sun was shining brightly. Yu Xia’s figure was graceful and elegant, standing tall and beautiful in the morning sun. Liu Jing couldn’t believe that the incredibly seductive Yu Xia in bed would immediately revert to her fiery and flamboyant nature once she stepped outside. Coupled with her culinary skills, this woman was truly exceptional.

“Do you want me to take you home?” "Liu Jing asked politely.

"Of course you have to take me, but you still have a condition you haven't agreed to!" Yu Xia rolled her eyes at him and sat down in the passenger seat.

Liu Jing got in the car, a wave of suspicion washing over him: "What condition is it?"

"Drive, you'll find out in a bit." Yu Xia smiled and looked him over, nodding repeatedly. As

the car left the residential area, Liu Jing was surprised to find that his home was only a few hundred meters away: "So you live here? My home is just ahead."

"Really? That's great!" Yu Xia was not only surprised but also excited.

"What's so great about that! What does she mean?" Liu Jing muttered to himself, not daring to say anything more.

The car hadn't gone far when they came to an intersection, and Yu Xia said: "Turn left here!"

Liu Jing asked curiously: "Aren't you going to the traffic police station? Why turn left?"

"You'll find out when we get there." Yu Xia was languid, her beautiful face displaying a half-smile.

Liu Jing followed her instructions, his doubts deepening.

About a hundred meters to the left, a huge sign appeared: Bowang Bilingual Kindergarten. Liu Jing exclaimed, "Yu Xia, you have a child?"

"Is that not allowed?" Yu Xia glared at him, a hint of resentment in her voice. "If I didn't have a child, do you think I'd let you off so easily?"

Liu Jing frowned, parking the car. "Why did you bring me here?" He had a feeling she wasn't just looking at the child; it might be related to that condition.

"You'll find out when you get out," Yu Xia glanced at him, slammed the car door, and got out.

Why the sudden arrogance? I didn't offend her, did I? Liu Jing followed silently.

"Mommy!" A little girl ran out happily as the two entered the gate.

Yu Xia quickly went to greet her and picked her up. "Duo Duo, how was your day? Did you finish your homework?"

"Yes, I got four little red flowers yesterday! I put all my homework on the wall, but Lu Yukang didn't get any!" The little girl was innocent and cute, her expression exaggeratedly serious.

"Really? Duo Duo is so good!" Yu Xia kissed her daughter on the cheek. A young woman smiled and stepped forward. "Captain Qin is here. Duo Duo did very well, eating and sleeping well. Several teachers praised her!"

Yu Xia said politely, "Thank you, Teacher Li. I'm so sorry to have troubled you again yesterday." As she spoke, her eyes drifted to Liu Jing, a hint of shyness appearing on her beautiful face in the sunlight. Liu Jing was surprised. He never dreamed that Yu Xia was actually the captain! He had even volunteered to help people find housing; he had really overestimated himself.

"You're busy with work, it's nothing." Teacher Li looked him over generously and tactfully withdrew.

Duo Duo blinked her big eyes and asked, "Mommy, who is this uncle?" Yu Xia glanced at Liu Jing and winked mischievously, "Duo Duo, don't you want a daddy? How about this uncle be your daddy?" Liu

Jing was shocked and was about to speak when the child beat him to it. "Yes, yes! Duo Duo has a daddy again!" The little girl clapped her hands happily, then suddenly stopped, her face tense, and asked, "Mommy, will this daddy die?"

"Don't talk nonsense!" Yu Xia's beautiful face hardened, a hint of bitterness flashing across her eyes. "Duo Duo, this daddy won't die, he'll always be your daddy."

Duo Duo was relieved, her big eyes fixed intently on her new father. Liu Jing sighed and stepped forward to grab her, saying, "Yu Xia, what are you doing? Didn't we agree..."

"Why are you so nervous? I didn't say I'd marry you." Yu Xia put her daughter down and patiently explained, "My daughter is always closer to her father and keeps asking for him. I've said everything I can, but she's still young and doesn't understand anything. I'm worried about affecting her development, especially her mental well-being. You can be her godfather or adoptive father, and take her out to play a couple of times when you have time."

"But..." Liu Jing was troubled, filled with worries, "Yu Xia, I still don't think it's appropriate. What do you think I should do?"

"Hey! What do you mean?" Yu Xia snapped, her voice sharp, "You already agreed, are you going to go back on your word? I didn't ask for your first time. I just want you to spend time with the child. Will being a godfather kill you?"

As soon as Yu Xia said it, she immediately regretted it. She paused, turned her head away, and her expression was extremely bitter. China is a traditional country. When a woman loses her husband, she is always the subject of gossip, especially when those words come from her mouth.

Mom and her new dad started arguing. Duo Duo was scared and timidly huddled against her mother's leg, looking around pitifully.

Yu Xia stroked her daughter's head, her face sour, and said, "Give me an answer. If it's okay, great; if not, forget it. Nobody's forcing you!"

Chapter Fourteen: I'm a Virgin.

Liu Jing looked at Duo Duo, feeling very conflicted. A one-night stand like this was bound to cause problems in the long run. He had originally intended to end things there, never to see her again, but becoming her godfather meant they would inevitably continue their entanglement, which completely contradicted his original intentions. Besides, this wasn't a good situation.

Parents continued to bring their children past. One father carried his daughter affectionately into the building. Duo Duo bit her tongue, tilted her head, and followed longingly into the building. This was a common expression of longing in a child, but at this moment, Liu Jing saw only heartache.

He sighed, squatted down, and pulled the girl to his side. Duo Duo looked back at her mother, looking at him cautiously. Liu Jing smiled and asked, "Duo Duo, do you really want Uncle to be your dad?"

The girl stared at him, nodding eagerly.

Liu Jing smiled, "Okay, from now on Uncle will be your godfather, you can call Uncle Godfather."

Duo Duo seemed reluctant, looking up at her mother, "Mommy, what's a godfather?"

"A godfather is like a dad." Yu Xia glared at him, annoyed.

Duo Duo was satisfied, turning back to ask weakly, "Can I call you Dad instead of Godfather?"

"Hmm, that's fine too." Liu Jing reluctantly agreed. He felt that calling her Dad would be easily misunderstood.

Duo Duo's eyes lit up, and she asked again, "Then can you take me to kindergarten?"

"Hmm, this... I'm afraid not, because I live far away, taking you to kindergarten will make you late, and the teacher will scold you, Mommy will take you, Mommy won't be late." Liu Jing smiled wryly at Yu Xia.

Yu Xia was both annoyed and amused. This little man, making up lies to coax the child, and he does it so well.

Duo Duo was a little dejected, but still unwilling to give up: "Then can you take me to the park to ride the electric horse?"

"Sure, but only on Sunday."

Duo Duo was overjoyed, raising his head and saying, "Mommy, Daddy's taking me to the park to ride the electric horse!" Yu Xia was extremely pleased, smoothing her hair and giving him a grateful look: "Okay, Duo Duo, you must be good when you're with Daddy!"

"Mmm." Duo Duo looked at his new father and nodded excitedly and firmly.

The two looked at each other and smiled.

Duo Duo pouted unhappily again: "Mommy, why does this Daddy live so far away? Didn't you sleep with Daddy before? Why doesn't this Daddy sleep with you?"

The two looked at each other again, their faces flushed.

Saying goodbye to the flower of the motherland, the two got back into the car, carrying Duo Duo's joy. Liu Jing, reluctantly playing the role of godfather, couldn't help but ask, "Yu Xia, perhaps I shouldn't say this, but with such good qualities, why don't you find someone else?"

"How could it be so easy? Can you men treat children who aren't your own good?" Yu Xia was still resentful, glaring at him hatefully. "Look at how you were just now! If my daughter hadn't been there, I would have slapped you across the face!"

Liu Jing was embarrassed for a moment: "Actually, that's not what I meant, it's just that..."

"That's not what you meant? You're just afraid I'll cling to you, aren't you? Do you know how heartbroken I feel? I feel so cheap! It's just because you took advantage of me. If I could control my own heart, do you think I'd want to be with a little man like you?" Yu Xia became angrier and more aggrieved as she spoke.

Liu Jing felt both uncomfortable and had a headache. He pulled the car over to the side of the road. "Yu Xia, what are you thinking? I didn't mean any disrespect. I like Duo Duo too, it's just..."

"You're just afraid I'll interfere with your pursuit of a girlfriend, aren't you?" Yu Xia brought her face close to his, looking into his eyes. "Liu Jing, we hugged for most of last night. I had plenty of opportunities. Did I rape you? What are you worried about!"

"I'm sorry." Unable to get through to him, Liu Jing could only apologize.

"Alright, drive your car."

The car started again, the atmosphere a little heavy. Liu Jing started a conversation: "By the way, you used to chat with me after nine o'clock, were you putting Duo Duo to sleep?"

"Yes." Yu Xia nodded, her beautiful face somewhat forlorn. "I usually pick her up every day, but sometimes when I'm on duty or something happens, I leave her at kindergarten, like yesterday."

It's not easy for a woman to raise a child alone, and Liu Jing was deeply moved: "Doesn't the child have grandparents?" Yu Xia smiled sadly, as if mocking herself: "My husband's family is in Henan, my in-laws live with my brother-in-law, I can't very well go with them, can I?"

"What about your family, her maternal grandparents?"

"My family is in T city, the education there is much worse than in S city. Duo Duo is four years old, she'll be starting school in two years, I don't want to go back." Yu Xia shifted her gaze forward and sighed, "It's all for the child now, you want me to find someone else, Duo Duo is so young, how can I find someone? I'll have to wait until she goes to university."

Yu Xia's words embodied the greatness and strength of motherhood, but Liu Jing didn't know what to say. A woman sacrificed herself because her husband died; perhaps people would praise her, but was it really fair?

A brief silence fell in the car, then Liu Jing started a new topic: "There are so many men in your traffic police team, and your family situation is what it is. Why don't your superiors take care of you? Why do they always make you work shifts?" He had asked this because Qin Yu Xia was absent one or two days a week during their conversation.

Yu Xia smiled: "I don't have a superior, because I am the superior."

Liu Jing was taken aback, remembering the scene at the kindergarten: "By the way, that teacher just called you captain. What kind of captain are you?"

Yu Xia tilted her head, smiling at him: "Have you forgotten the first time we met?"

Liu Jing thought for a moment, then suddenly realized: "You mean... the women's mounted police team? You're the squadron leader?" Yu

Xia glanced at him with her beautiful eyes, and said smugly: "What did you think!"

Wow! This is incredible! After the TV series "Women's Special Police Team" aired, many cities followed suit. S City, imitating D City, established a female mounted police unit. While D City innovatively used horses, S City continued with motorcycles. The mayor explained that they wanted to reflect not only S City's image but also a pragmatic spirit. This was huge news at the time, widely publicized by the media. The first captain, Qin Yuxia, was naturally the focus of the publicity—

she was incredibly impressive! His first woman was the top policewoman in both the city's public security and traffic police systems! Liu Jing was so excited he couldn't speak, looking at the people around him. Men, so damn despicable!

Yuxia leaned close to his face, teasingly asking, "Aren't you very proud of yourself now? Feeling a great sense of accomplishment?"

"What…what are you saying?" Liu Jing was embarrassed, his thoughts exposed.

"Am I wrong?" Yu Xia smiled faintly, her beautiful eyes darting around. "Aren't all you men like this? You like famous, high-ranking women to satisfy your desires. That Dong Xihua, she's like a gas cylinder, Lai Xixing treats her like a treasure. I'm so beautiful, I'm also famous, and I'm a traffic police captain. If you raped me, wouldn't you feel a sense of conquest?"

Liu Jing scoffed, changing the subject: "Actually, Yu Xia, I even saw you in the newspaper back then, how come... how come I didn't remember at all? Really!"

"You didn't not remember, you didn't dare to think about it! You know that, you little man?" Yu Xia gritted her teeth, even pinching his crotch twice.

"What are you doing? Mind your manners!" Liu Jing dodged, his face beaming with a smile.

Yu Xia sat up straight, her head held high, and said arrogantly, "You brat, listen to me. Rape carries a minimum sentence of seven or eight years. You raped me, so you'll get at least fifteen. From now on, you'd better listen to me obediently, or else... hmph! I still have that pair of underwear with your incriminating evidence. You'd better prepare to go to jail!"

"Hey, how could I? How could you... bear to part with me?"

Yu Xia blushed slightly, giving him a deep, affectionate glance. The car drove merrily forward, with wildflowers and trees lining both sides, a picture of blissful happiness.

They arrived at the traffic police station. Yu Xia got out of the car and walked to the door, staring intently at him.

Liu Jing asked curiously, "Why don't you go inside?"

Yu Xia, holding onto the car body, slowly bent down. "Liu

Jing, tell me the truth, you've really never done this before?" "Of course!" Liu Jing complained, his face contorted with embarrassment. "Although you're great in every way, and famous, I'm a genuine virgin, a domestic product. I can't remember any feeling now, I've lost everything!"

Yu Xia chuckled. "Alright, little virgin, let me ask you, do you masturbate?"

"No." Liu Jing shook his head, but it was clear he wasn't lying.

Yu Xia was surprised, nodded, and said, "That's right. So, my virtuous little virgin, let me ask you again, do you have wet dreams?"

"This..." Liu Jing blushed, speechless. He didn't masturbate, and his wet dreams were frequent.

"Virgin? Hmph, I spit on you!" Yu Xia spat in his face, gave him a disdainful look, and walked away with an air of elegance.

Chapter Fifteen: I'm Still a Virgin.

Liu Jing left, and Yu Xia felt a little lost. She silently went into the building. People greeted her along the way, and she smiled and responded, seemingly no different from usual, but her face was clearly burning. When familiar scenery no longer felt familiar, she just wanted to quickly find a place where no one was around.

She couldn't understand whether she had fallen in love, or had been celibate for too long, or was simply lonely. She couldn't believe that she had shared a bed with a man she had just met. Her husband had only been gone for six months, and the man was six years younger than her, still a young boy. How could she have done this?

The more Yu Xia thought about it, the more ashamed she became. She finally escaped to her office and hurriedly made herself a cup of tea to calm herself down.

Why was this happening? Was it because he had been there for her during her most difficult time? She clearly remembered her husband's vow: "Xia, no matter what difficulties you encounter in the future, I will be with you." But in the seven years they had been together, she hadn't encountered any difficulties because he had always been there; now that he was gone, she faced the greatest difficulties of her life because he was no longer there.

The devastating news came so suddenly; she simply couldn't believe it. Her sunny and gentle husband, her optimistic and brave husband, the husband who couldn't be harmed even by the gunfire in Vietnam, was gone so easily. She was heartbroken and grieving, but what was truly unbearable was the loneliness and desolation without him, the helplessness and confusion of being alone.

With him, she was always smiling; she didn't have to think or do anything. Her husband was eight years older than her; all she needed to do was be spoiled, pout, and get angry, remaining a child who never grew up. Then their daughter was born, and her husband seemed to possess the whole world. She was angry and jealous, naming their daughter Duoduo, saying the daughter was superfluous, that she had stolen her husband. He was so strong; he held both their daughter and her in his arms, laughing and saying there were two children in the family now.

Yes, two children, but now there were only two children left. She had to grow up, because she was still a mother. Going to work, on duty, taking care of the children, managing the household—she was busy all day, and the days passed, but every night, while Duoduo slept sweetly, she couldn't fall asleep. The night was so long. How could a night that was originally so short have become so long? She didn't understand. She got up at the crack of dawn every day because no one would hold her nose and wake her up anymore.

A friend advised her to talk to a stranger. She hesitated, but tried, until she saw that line of poetry: "Do not say that life is always like a dream; what can a husband worry about?" She thought the poem was so carefree, so optimistic, so sunny, just like her husband, even though he was just a twenty-three-year-old man. She added him, several times, until he became impatient and asked why she was bothering him. She smiled, the first smile she had made in a month since her husband left.

Life became brighter from then on. Every night, after her daughter fell asleep, she would eagerly sit in front of the computer, waiting for him to come online, waiting for him to appear. Listening to his endless, rambling conversations, she would keep smiling. Just like that, they grew closer. The verdant mountains, the lively eyes, the beautiful blush—all of them had unknowingly returned. She didn't know what she was searching for or waiting for, but at least she was no longer lonely. Even without him, staring at the screen gave her something to reminisce about.

She was grateful and happy. He said he wanted to meet. She panicked, ran away, but agreed because she couldn't refuse. She was so conflicted, so afraid—afraid that if she refused, he wouldn't spend time with her anymore; afraid that if they met, he wouldn't talk to her anymore because she was a widow; and even more afraid that she had fallen in love and would be betraying her dead husband—what a sin!

She went, parking a short distance away. The young man did the same, sneaking around in his car. She smiled; it was so funny. Then she went up to him, pretending to pay a fine, and talked to him. She was so happy, much happier than just staring at the screen. He panicked, stammered, and lied, saying he was going to see his girlfriend. She felt so sweet inside, like she was in love. Then she left, so proud.

The next time they met was on the second night, when they encountered another couple. He was filled with jealousy and resentment, insecure and inexplicably jealous. She felt terrible, so jealous, that she felt like she was going crazy. That little tiger ignited not only him, but also her. She no longer doubted; she loved him, even feeling she couldn't live without him. He got drunk, and she taught that little tiger a lesson, then took him home. It was a chaotic night. She learned a lot about him, especially the story of that scar, and then, like she used to do with her husband, she clung to him all night, for a long time.

She took him to see her daughter, forcing him to become a new father, not only for her daughter but also for herself. She didn't think too much; she just wanted to keep him, because her man should be the father of her daughter, it was that simple.

"I'm sorry, husband," Yu Xia sighed softly, ending her morning's mental turmoil.

...

Spitting in Yu Xia's face, Liu Jing drove away, excited and thrilled, because Yu Xia had helped him untangle a big knot in his heart regarding nocturnal emission. If you don't have a wet dream, then it's not a matter of being a virgin; you're not even a man.

He figured it out. Virginity is a physiological concept, while male virginity is a behavioral concept, marked by the first sexual experience. Although he had his first time, he was drunk and had no sensation or memory of it, meaning he had no experience and was still a virgin.

Yes, I'm still a virgin; my ideal can still be fulfilled.

Clearly, Liu Jing is a mixture of idealism and realistic perfectionism. Whenever his ideals are not achieved, he always finds perfection within the existing conditions, or rather, finds a perfect explanation. These kinds of people are the happiest people on earth; they can always live happily, and Liu Jing is fortunate enough to be one of them.

The spring sun is warm, and Liu Jing is driving happily. Tender willows stand obediently on both sides of the road like little maids, and the early morning crowds are bustling. A female traffic policewoman brushes past him, and he glances at her unconsciously, his chest swelling again.

Yu Xia is actually the captain of the mounted police, a beautiful policewoman! It's unbelievable! And I raped her! This is too fucking outrageous. How could something like this happen to me? " Hmm, looks like I should buy a lottery ticket."

"Ugh, what am I thinking? That's disgusting!" Liu Jing, excited for a while, suddenly realized he felt no guilt whatsoever and couldn't help but feel a little self-deprecating.

After regaining his composure and thinking things through, Liu Jing decided to sever all ties with Yu Xia and focus on cherishing Little Tiger. This was the best outcome, though he felt a little sorry for Duo Duo. Thinking of that poor girl, Liu Jing couldn't hide his guilt.

"Old Li, good morning!" Liu Jing entered the office with a beaming smile, tossing his car keys to Li Desheng.

"Looks good. Looks like you really enjoyed yourself last night?" Li Desheng paused his game, looking at him with surprise.

Liu Jing puffed out his chest, smiling but not answering.

"Wow, you're really something! You've kept your virginity?"

"Of course, absolutely a brand-name virgin." Liu Jing patted his chest loudly.

"Really?" Li Desheng was skeptical. He turned his chair around and said, "Come on, tell me properly, what's that girl like? Is she pretty? What's her figure like? Where does she work? What did you two do last night?"

Li Desheng asked a string of questions. Liu Jing thought for a moment and said seriously, "Old Li, to be honest, don't ask anymore. I don't want to lie to you, but the problem is you won't believe me even if I tell you."

"Enough with the nonsense, just tell me!" Li Desheng lit a cigarette, eager to hear the story.

"Hmm—!" Liu Jing hesitated for a moment and replied truthfully, "You know the women's mounted police team, right? She's the captain, the city's number one policewoman, the one who was in the newspaper before. I remember you even complimented her figure to me."

Li Desheng looked at him calmly, then suddenly turned his chair back: "Fine, Xiao Liu, you're something else. See if I can borrow your car again!"

Chapter Sixteen: Conversation with General Manager Zhao

It was time for work, and Liu Jing started making phone calls. Tomorrow, the municipal committee's switchboard was to be installed. He needed to contact the technicians and pick up goods from the warehouse. Dongxing Electronics' customer service department only handles out-of-town customers. Local business operates on a personal responsibility system, meaning the initial salesperson is responsible for contacting, signing contracts, assembling, and subsequent maintenance and repairs.

After half an hour of phone calls, everything was finally settled. Thinking about the four-day installation process, Liu Jing was incredibly excited. Four days wasn't a short time; he had to get the little tiger completely done. Hey, May Day was almost here; if he brought it home, his mother would definitely love it and be happy.

The phone rang, interrupting his daydreaming. He picked it up and put it to his ear: "Hello, Dongxing Electronics, Liu Jing."

"Hehe, Xiao Liu, it's me." Zhao's cheerful voice came from the other end of the line. "Aren't you busy? Come over here."

"Yes, Mr. Zhao, I'll be right there."

Hanging up, Liu Jing went straight to the top floor. Only Bai Ge was in the secretary's office. He stood by the door and said, "Hello, Secretary Bai, is Mr. Zhao in?"

"Yes, Mr. Zhao is waiting for you. Go ahead." Bai Ge's pretty face was flushed, her eyes darting around, as if she was still embarrassed about yesterday's events.

"Thank you, Secretary Bai, I'm going now." Liu Jing nodded with a smile.

Bai Ge smiled shyly, truly captivating. Liu Jing chuckled inwardly and turned to leave. He had always had a good impression of Bai Ge. He didn't think much of what happened yesterday. Office sex was a trend, even though it was embarrassing to be seen, and others might make a big deal out of it, but he wouldn't. He felt that such things had nothing to do with character. Knowing she liked President Zhao, Liu Jing secretly wished her well, hoping that all lovers in the world would be united—that was also his good wish.

"Hello, President Zhao, you wanted to see me?" Liu Jing knocked on the door and entered.

"Come, come, Xiao Liu, have a seat here." President Zhao came out from behind his large desk and warmly invited him to sit on the sofa.

After they sat down, President Zhao offered him a cigarette. Liu Jing hesitated slightly but didn't refuse. He had smoked quite a bit at dinner last night, and President Zhao had seen it all; this wasn't the time to pretend.

After they finished lighting each other's cigarettes, Boss Zhao patted Liu Jing on the knee and said admiringly, "Little Liu, you're quite capable! What tricks did you use to win over my sister in just one day?" Liu Jing was slightly embarrassed and asked in surprise, "Boss Zhao, you... you already know?"

"Hehe, you two were playing dumb in front of me, thinking you could fool me?" Boss Zhao, with a cigarette between his fingers, leaned closer to him. "You were completely drunk last night, and Xiao Fang was so worried she cried!"

"Really?!" Liu Jing was both surprised and delighted.

"Of course." General Manager Zhao patted his shoulder, speaking earnestly, "Little Liu, you're very lucky. My sister isn't someone most people would consider. Cherish her. If you mistreat her, I won't forgive you." "

How could I? I'll definitely treat her well." Liu Jing was overjoyed. "Actually, Fang Xi hasn't agreed to be with me yet; she just said she'd consider it." "

No problem, it's only a matter of time." General Manager Zhao waved his hand casually, then added warmly, "Should I formally introduce you two?"

"Thank you, General Manager Zhao, but no need." Liu Jing said frankly, "To be honest, from the first moment I saw Fang Xi, I considered her the most important thing in my life. I want to win her over through my own efforts. Please understand."

"Good! Good! Young man, you have ambition, quite like me when I was young." General Manager Zhao paused for a moment, then showered him with praise. Many Chinese leaders are accustomed to praising their subordinates in this way, subtly boasting about how awesome they were in their youth.

"You flatter me, Mr. Zhao."

After a pause, Mr. Zhao began in a formal tone: "Xiao Liu, since joining our company, you have performed exceptionally well. The company's Party Committee has a very high opinion of you and fully recognizes your abilities and achievements. Personally, I think you are young, energetic, and especially dedicated. Your current position doesn't fully allow you to demonstrate your abilities, and you still have a lot of room for improvement. So, what are your further plans?"

"Wow! His ability aside, his performance is only so-so; he's still a ways off from being fired." Liu Jing wasn't blinded by his success. He bowed slightly and said, "You overestimate me. Well, I just want to work diligently and be an honest person. I'll follow the organization's arrangements and won't be picky." Working in a state-owned enterprise or government agency, one always picks up these kinds of phrases quickly.

"Hehe, don't be modest!" General Manager Zhao smiled, then pondered, "Well… Sun Xi has been transferred to Workshop Two. Would you be interested in being my secretary? It would be a favor to me, wouldn't it?"

"Ah, secretary?" Liu Jing was taken aback, surprised, but also felt a chill creep down his spine.

Workshop Two was the electro-melting workshop, mainly producing and welding electro-melting products. The loss rate was alarming, often reaching 20%. Even worse, the electro-melting process produced toxic gases, so nobody wanted to go to Workshop Two. He and Sun Xi had a conflict, but only yesterday; there was no real tension. Hearing this news still made him uneasy.

Furthermore, Liu Jing disliked being a secretary. Sitting in an office all day, the income wasn't as good as a salesperson's; the only advantage was proximity to leadership and a relatively better future, provided he didn't offend the boss. Besides, being a secretary meant spending all his time with Bai Ge; it would be strange if President Zhao wasn't wary of him.

Liu Jing pondered how to refuse, his gaze inadvertently falling on President Zhao's desk, and yesterday's pornographic film replayed in his mind.

Upon seeing this, General Manager Zhao sighed and said, "Xiao Liu, I know what you're thinking. To be honest, it's not that I'm heartless towards Sun Xi, but he's liked Bai Ge for a long time. What have I done to him? Liking someone isn't wrong, but you can't pin the blame on me! Bai Ge is my woman, after all. We're both men. If you were in my shoes, would you be indifferent?"

Liu Jing felt awkward that General Manager Zhao was discussing such a private matter. "General Manager Zhao, you misunderstand. I... I just feel that I'm too inexperienced. Becoming a secretary so soon might cause gossip, and I know nothing about secretarial work. I'm afraid I won't be able to handle it, so perhaps..."

"That's not a big problem. You can learn if you don't know how. Nobody's born knowing everything," General Manager Zhao interrupted, lighting a cigarette. "Gossip is a problem, though. Oh, I'm not talking about anything else. Although our company doesn't have a probationary period, in principle, new employees aren't transferred within a year. That's how state-owned enterprises are. But you'll be here soon anyway. Use this time to prepare, what do you think?"

"Thank you, Mr. Zhao." Liu Jing didn't want to go anywhere else; he just wanted to be a salesman. He quickly took the opportunity to get up and say goodbye.

"Alright, that's settled then." Mr. Zhao stood up and pinched his shoulder. "Xiao Liu, keep up the good work with Xiao Fang. I'll be waiting for your good news."

"I will." Liu Jing nodded and walked towards the door.

"Xiao Liu."

"Is there anything else?" Liu Jing turned back.

Mr. Zhao walked up to him with a friendly smile: "Your female online friend is quite nice. I initially thought she was your girlfriend."

Ugh, what does this mean? Liu Jing quickly said, "Mr. Zhao, you've misunderstood. She..."

"Hehe, don't be nervous. That's not what I meant." Mr. Zhao interrupted him with a smile, saying tactfully, "Actually, it's nothing. We're all men, and you're young. It's normal to have some fun. But Xiao Fang has a good temper. Just don't let her misunderstand."

"No, don't worry."

"Alright, then you can go ahead and get busy."

Liu Jing left the room under Mr. Zhao's smiling gaze and breathed a sigh of relief. This was his first time having close contact with a company-level leader. It wasn't nervousness, but rather Zhao's enthusiasm that put him in a difficult position. He'd rather be fired than become his secretary. Fortunately, there were still a few months left; he could simply refuse outright. He also found it amusing that after only one day, while the "little tiger" was still considering it, nepotism was already taking effect! Relationships in China are complex, seemingly simple yet difficult to manage.

With light steps, Liu Jing went downstairs, full of confidence. His virginity issue was resolved, and his worries were gone. Time to call and ask her out—this crybaby little tiger!

Chapter Seventeen: Fang Xi's Outburst

The office door was open. Fang Xi sat blankly at her desk, staring at the flowers on the windowsill in the corridor. The morning sun couldn't reach them; the flowers bloomed lonely, lonely yet beautiful.

Since returning home last night, her heart had been in turmoil, unsure whether it was sadness or heartache. Liu Jing's relentless pursuit had only caused her panic and helplessness, but last night's drunkenness had melted away all her resistance like an iceberg. She hadn't slept well all night. Every time she closed her eyes, Liu Jing's melancholy gaze filled her mind. His words, "Drink until your heart flutters, drink until your heart aches," echoed incessantly in her ears.

She wanted to call or text to apologize, but she couldn't bring herself

to do it. And then there was Yu Xia's resentful gaze; just thinking about it made her feel incredibly awkward. She'd even lectured her, saying men weren't meant to be tormented. She'd never felt so wronged, not even to the point of despair. She desperately wanted to tell her, "You've known her for five months, and I've only known her for one day!" But she couldn't bring herself to say it.

"By the way, he was so drunk yesterday, where did that woman take him? What will they do?" Fang Xi's mind was in turmoil. After much thought, another question arose in her mind.

"Hmph!" Fang Xi's resentment turned to jealousy and anger. She grabbed the notepad on the table and tore it apart with gritted teeth.

The phone rang. It was him. Fang Xi grabbed it angrily, "What do you want now?"

Liu Jing's excitement was immediately dampened. He paused for a moment and said, "Fang Xi, I know you must be very upset right now, and you must be angry with me. Let's meet right away, and I'll explain everything to you."

"I... what do I have to be angry about?" The little tiger's tone softened considerably.

"Yes, it's that woman." Liu Jing paused, then said sincerely, "Fangxi, I know you got me drunk last night, mainly because I made you angry during the day, but that woman must have played a part too. I have to explain this to you."

"You...you better not!" Fangxi became inexplicably angry. "Who you eat with is none of my business!"

Liu Jing laughed, "Don't be like that. You're still considering me. To avoid affecting your consideration of me, and more importantly, for our lifelong happiness, this explanation is absolutely necessary."

"Tch, you're just..." Someone passed by in the corridor, and Fangxi quickly went forward to close the door tightly, her back pressed against the doorway. "Liu Jing, I don't even know what to say to you? You...you're just good at vain!"

"You're right." Liu Jing chuckled. "We'll talk later. Find a place for us to meet."

Fangxi thought for a moment, "Well...okay then. There's a Firefly Cafe near my workplace, across the main entrance on the east side. I'll wait for you there at 12:30."

"Okay, 12:30, see you there."

"Oh." Fangxi paused, finally realizing something was wrong. How did it become me asking him out? "Hey, listen..."

"We'll talk when we meet." Liu Jing quickly interrupted, then said gently, "Little Tiger, thank you for crying for me yesterday."

"You're talking nonsense..."

The call ended. "You're so annoying!" Fangxi said ruefully, angrily turning off her phone.

Sitting back down, Fangxi picked up her water glass and slowly calmed down. Things had come to this point; she should really think it over carefully. But this love had come so suddenly; she couldn't believe it, as if it weren't real. The thought of being defeated in just one day made her feel incredibly awkward.

"Meeting him would be good. I have to get to the bottom of that woman's matter." Fangxi frowned, deep in thought.

A coffee shop is a minimalist style, but far from simple. Compared to the glamour of hotels and the noise of bars, this deliberately created leisure and comfort, in the fast-paced urban jungle, is like a harbor where you can find anything you need: tranquility, serenity, ambiguity, or romance.

At 12:15, Liu Jing rushed to the meeting place. Noon was clearly not coffee time; in the entire coffee shop, only Fang Xi sat alone, two steaming cups of coffee in front of her.

The coffee shop had couple's seating, the kind that looks like hard seats on a train. Without thinking, Liu Jing plopped down next to Fang Xi, gazing at her intently. Fang Xi was clearly in low spirits, holding her coffee and awkwardly shifting to the side: "Why are you looking at me like that?"

"I missed you," Liu Jing said.

Fang Xi's expression changed several times, then she lowered her head and remained silent. Liu Jing leaned closer: "Little Tiger, I'm not lying to you. Last night you were sad, and it broke my heart. I wanted to talk to you, but I drank too much."

Fang Xi tightened her pretty face and stammered, "Well, I'm sorry about last night. Who told you to drink when you shouldn't?"

"Why should I apologize? I should be the one apologizing." Liu Jing chuckled; so she wanted to apologize but couldn't bring herself to do it.

Fang Xi's tiger-like eyes softened, and she smiled faintly, her guilt instantly vanishing.

Liu Jing leaned over and said, "Fang Xi, to be honest, I'm sorry. I overheard you and President Zhao talking yesterday, and then I saw you with him last night. I felt so bad that I drank so much. It's all my fault. I shouldn't have been so petty, shouldn't have trusted those silly people, and especially shouldn't have distrusted you, and especially shouldn't have tested you that way. Don't be angry, and don't blame yourself. I promise I won't do it again."

After saying that, he waited for the little tiger to throw a little tantrum to liven up the atmosphere again, but Fang Xi not only didn't, but turned to face him, staring at him expressionlessly, her gaze making him feel cold.

Liu Jing suddenly understood and awkwardly said, "Oh, right, there's that woman too. She's an online friend of mine. Yesterday was our first official meeting. I didn't really want to go, but we made plans the day before yesterday, so I had no choice but to go. Yeah, she's so old, I think you can tell just by looking at her. But now that we're dating, I definitely won't have any more contact with her."

He deliberately used the word "dating," hoping Little Tiger would object, but Fang Xi didn't. She just stared straight at him, clearly pressuring him to continue.

Liu Jing panicked a little. Of course, he knew what Little Tiger was waiting for, but how could he say it? If he directly said that he raped her, held her all night, let someone touch his entire body, and, well, let someone hold him while he slept, Little Tiger would definitely kick him out. Fang Xi's

breathing became heavier, her chest heaving slightly, and her tiger eyes were almost radiating coldness.

"Okay, okay, I'll tell you the truth, I admit it, last night... I stayed at her house last night, but I..." Liu Jing couldn't hold back any longer. Suddenly, he saw Fang Xi's eyes well up with tears, her lips trembling slightly, looking so heartbroken and wronged.

"Fang Xi, please stop!" Liu Jing panicked and grabbed her small hand. "Let me finish..."

"Don't touch me!" Fang Xi abruptly pulled her hand back, and as she turned away, the tears in her eyes finally streamed down her face.

Liu Jing stared blankly, feeling both heartache and gratitude, his heart filled with regret and guilt. If he had known that Little Tiger would be so heartbroken, he would have... Alas, given last night's situation, it seemed he had no choice! Fang Xi

closed her eyes tightly, trying to turn her head away, tears streaming down her face uncontrollably, her emotions erupting uncontrollably. Why was she like this? She couldn't explain it herself, but she just couldn't bear it, couldn't bear it, couldn't control it. That woman's resentful eyes, her cold lecture, the scene of her being forced to drink last night—these images kept replaying in her mind. What's even more infuriating is that she herself got him drunk and then even helped him get into the car; she had no one to confide in about her grievances.

Liu Jing was frantic and at a loss: "Little Tiger, don't cry, listen to me. Think about it, I was so drunk last night, I was completely unconscious. She didn't know where I lived, so what could she do but take me home? Actually, she... she has a four-year-old child, I really... how about this, I swear to you, I'm still a virgin!" He really didn't know how to explain those things, so he resorted to his virginity theory.

"You... who asked you that, you shameless bastard!" Fang Xi was both ashamed and embarrassed, finally breaking into a smile through her tears.

"You're not angry anymore?" Liu Jing was overjoyed.

"Don't get too cocky!" Fangxi wiped her tears with the back of her hand, full of resentment. "Let me tell you, if it weren't for the fact that you were drunk yesterday, and I was the one who got you drunk, do you think I would be meeting you today?"

"That's right, that's right, hey, I knew... you'd be understanding." Liu Jing was excited, wiping his sweat, and couldn't help but grab her small hand.

Fangxi glared at him with teary eyes, her face flushed, and said, "Hey, what are you doing? I haven't thought it through yet, who gave you permission to touch me like that?"

"I'm sorry." Liu Jing looked down and reluctantly let go. "Little Tiger, I just like you so much, and I'm so happy, I couldn't control myself. But don't worry, even if you think it through later, I'll respect your decision."

Fangxi, of course, knew what she meant by "disagreement," and said angrily, "You, you're just... I really don't know what to say to you. I just gave you a little kindness, and you haven't even thought it through yet! And you... you're thinking too far ahead!"
