My Policewoman Lover [Complete] - Chapter 30 (End)

Chapter Six: Willing to Be Your Concubine

The autumn morning was breezy, a light chill blending with the sky. The city exuded a misty tranquility, made transparent by the wind.

Shen Meng, dressed in light makeup, stood by the roadside, a small red suitcase at her feet. The air around her ruffled her clothes. She lightly brushed the wind-blown strands of hair from her forehead, her slightly indifferent gaze revealing two dark eyes like starlight on a prairie night. Even in the chill of autumn, her unique charm remained undiminished.

Liu Jing saw Shen Meng from afar and slowly brought the car to a stop as he approached.

"You're here. Thank you for your help," Shen Meng smiled faintly, picking up the suitcase and stepping forward.

Liu Jing nodded, took the suitcase, and walked to the back of the car, but couldn't help glancing back as he turned. Shen Meng wore a light blue long dress, the hem embroidered with a cartoon girl in a deliberately yet subtly placed position. The cartoon patch didn't quite match the elegance of the dress, but the girl's melancholy and longing eyes created a powerful visual impact, as if the surrounding scenery itself flowed within her eyes.

Shen Meng's attire was incongruous yet impeccable, just like her aloof eyes, which, combined with her overall demeanor, made her seem approachable. Liu Jing was surprised, but never doubted her uniqueness and beauty; even a simple smile could make one believe in the existence of an angel.

Shen Meng stood quietly by the passenger door, waiting for him to put his things away before opening the door.

"Big sister, what meeting are you going to?" Liu Jing asked as they got in and started the engine. Yesterday, he was enjoying a sweet time with his new wife, Xiao Tiantian, when Shen Meng called to say she was going to the US for a medical conference and asked him to take her to the airport this morning, hence his question.

"A medical conference."

"Oh." Liu Jing didn't ask further, giving her a strange glance. Would an ordinary emergency room doctor be qualified to attend a medical conference in the US? It must be because of Professor Zheng's connections. That's what he thought.

Shen Meng, of course, understood what he meant. She blushed slightly and said, "Our hospital director is an old friend of my dad's, and my dad is also going to the conference. He mainly wanted me to spend a few days with my dad, as a favor." Shen Meng finished speaking. She rolled her eyes, as if to say, "Isn't that what you meant? Are you satisfied now?"

Liu Jing was satisfied and smiled, saying, "America is nice, we should get together." Shen Meng averted her gaze and turned her head to look out the window. Liu Jing paused, then looked at her and said, "Um, sister, Mom should be going too, right?"

"What, is something wrong again?" Shen Meng tilted her head. Her eyes became wary and unfriendly.

"Well, nothing much, it's just..." First Xu Yan, then Guo Guo, both had spoken to Chen Lin through this sister-in-law. Liu Jing was incredibly embarrassed, but she forced herself to confess about Tian Yu's situation, and then said, "Sister, I didn't want this to happen either, but I really had no choice. Fang Xi has already agreed, could you talk to Mom for me again, and I'll call her later to apologize?"

Shen Meng's eyes were cold. Shen Meng's expression grew increasingly cold. After he finished speaking, she said, "Are you ever going to stop? Fangxi is your wife, what do you take her for? What do you take my family for? What do you take me for?"

Liu Jing was utterly ashamed, incredibly embarrassed. "But...but who knew I could get pregnant like this? It's all an accident!"

"An accident?" Shen Meng's tone was chilling, showing no mercy. "One is an accident. Two are accidents. Three are accidents? Why didn't these accidents happen to me?"

Her words were intriguing. Liu Jing's face flushed red, and he remained silent, pouting.

Shen Meng realized her words were inappropriate. She felt she had been too harsh and said gently, "Forget it, I'm too lazy to talk to you anymore."

"Thank you, Big Sister." Liu Jing looked pitiful, like a child who had made a mistake, but sincere and grateful. Shen Meng had lacked affection since childhood, and she cared for him and Little Tiger with tenderness and protection. Though seemingly harsh, she genuinely doted on them. Coupled with the indelible first impression she had made, she felt a close, almost fearful friendship towards Liu Jing. Liu Jing was grateful, but also deeply gratified.

Shen Meng ignored him, lowered her head and straightened her skirt, the patched girl swaying with it. Liu Jing looked at her profile, the delicate curve of her nose highlighting her sensuality, and said again, "Big sister, let me tell you the truth, I really..."

"You don't need to say anymore!" Shen Meng interrupted him impatiently with a finger, "Don't blame yourself anymore, don't feel ashamed anymore, and don't talk about your difficulties." Shen Meng turned her head and looked at him calmly, "I've heard enough of that, and it's not a reason at all. With the first Captain Qin, I could say you were a pushover, but now, I can't find any adjectives to describe you."

Shen Meng's tone was filled with deep regret and disappointment, even harder to accept than her previous harsh words. Liu Jing's cheeks burned, feeling incredibly shameless, unable to lift his head.

As the car entered the suburbs, the cool autumn air filled the air. Liu Jing looked ahead and said sincerely, "Dr. Shen, you misunderstood. I know I have no reason to ask. I just wanted to thank you again as a friend."

The words "Dr. Shen" and "friend" softened Shen Meng's icy expression, and a hint of joy appeared in her eyes. She said with a touch of reproach, "You still remember me as a friend?"

"Of course!" Shen Meng's icy demeanor thawed, and Liu Jing's embarrassment eased slightly. He smiled and said, "It's not easy to have a friend who constantly reminds you of things. Although I haven't done well, I won't forget this."

"Isn't that just empty talk?" Shen Meng's joy turned to relief, and she sighed at him, "You've had five wives in total. Putting everything else aside, can your body handle it?"

They had only exchanged a few serious words when this sister-in-law appeared again. Liu Jing deliberately said, "Your medical skills are superb. Could you get me some miracle medicine?"

Shen Meng shook her head, glanced at him, and said, "One against five is beyond the power of medicine to save you, unless..."

"Unless what?" Liu Jing asked in surprise. He was just joking, but Shen Meng took it so seriously. Could there really be a way? No man could refuse such a good thing, so he took it seriously.

Shen Meng looked him straight in the eye and said, "Unless you get a vasectomy."

"Vessel…" Shen Meng's words were shocking. Liu Jing's hand slipped, and the car almost crashed into the highway guardrail. "My dear sister, you're too ruthless! Me, a grown man, getting a vasectomy? That's practically like being a pig!"

Shen Meng's reasonable suggestion was ignored, and she said with a straight face, "What's wrong with being a grown man? A vasectomy isn't the same as sexual cessation. They all have children now, it'll only benefit you."

"That still won't work!" Liu Jing said without even thinking.

Shen Meng leaned forward and patiently explained, "Liu Jing, men's reluctance to get a vasectomy is an old-fashioned idea. Actually, it's just a minor surgery, no stitches needed, and you can be back to normal in two hours. You only need to abstain from sex for three to five days, and you can always reverse the procedure if you want children later. Another benefit of vasectomy is that excess sperm is absorbed, which accelerates metabolism and slows down aging." "

Mmm-hmm-hmm!" Liu Jing shook his head vigorously. Although Shen Meng described vasectomy in glowing terms, it was a matter of dignity, not science.

"Then it's up to you. I'm just suggesting." Shen Meng knew he most likely wouldn't agree, so she shook her head and didn't say anything more.

Although the issue was serious, it still felt a bit excessive, so Liu Jing changed the subject, "By the way, sister, where in America are you going for a conference?"

"Los Angeles."

"Los Angeles!" Liu Jing suddenly turned his head. "Fang Xi and I just went there a few months ago!"

"I know, so what?" Shen Meng was puzzled, not thinking it was anything to be surprised about.

Liu Jing said, “Fang Xi and I know a Chinese girl, actually, she’s Guo Guo’s friend, and we get along quite well. Her name is Gong Xiaoyan, she’s also from S City, and she runs a Chinese restaurant under the ‘Hollywood’ sign. You’ll definitely have a chance to go there. Her boyfriend is a policeman, and a government official at that. You’re unfamiliar with the area, so if you need help, asking her will definitely be more convenient than going to the consulate.”

“Oh, okay, I’ll pay her a visit,” Shen Meng agreed.

“Go ahead, just mention our names,” Liu Jing smiled.

Outside the window, the rice paddies were nearly ripe, the wind carried a sweet fragrance, grasshoppers hopped, and dragonflies fluttered. The two women, their expressions quick and their conversation light, soon arrived at the airport. After completing all the formalities, they said goodbye, and Liu Jing embarked on his journey home, the plane rumbling into the sky.

After seeing Shen Meng off, Liu Jing headed straight for the auto repair shop, intending to continue his part-time job as a mechanic. Half an hour later, as he approached the shop, Liu Jing saw the bright yellow car shimmering in the sunlight. "Why is she here again?" Liu Jing frowned, unconsciously shaking his head; it was Dongfang Jin's car.

The "Duoduo Auto Repair" sign was bright and welcoming. Liu Jing parked his car under the sign. Shu Chi stepped out from the side, pointed to the office, and shrugged in a helpless gesture. Liu Jing nodded, got out of the car, and walked towards the office.

Dongfang Jin, holding a water glass, was looking around the room with interest. Liu Jing pushed open the door and entered. Dongfang Jin turned around, her eyes suddenly lighting up: "You're back?" "

Why are you here again?" Liu Jing frowned, asking instead of answering.

Dongfang Jin raised her eyebrows slightly and said unhurriedly, "I was cheated by a shady merchant, suffered losses, is it wrong to come to him?"

Liu Jing ignored her, took a glass of water, and sat down on the sofa dejectedly. Dongfang Jin slowly walked over to him, plopped down on the coffee table, and teased, "The boss is the boss, so composed, unlike your repairmen who just pretend to be stupid."

"What exactly do you want?" Liu Jing, not in the mood to listen to her rambling, sighed and asked.

Dongfang Jin's bright eyes sparkled, and she smiled sweetly, "Have you forgotten? I said I'd come up with a good idea to put your mind at ease."

"What idea?"

Dongfang Jin put down her water glass and leaned close to his face, saying, "It's simple, to put your mind at ease, I'll become your concubine..."

"Pfft!" This idea was shocking, even more outrageous than Shen Meng's tubal ligation, and Liu Jing sprayed a mouthful of water all over Dongfang Jin's face.

"Ouch!" Dongfang Jin was sprayed from head to toe, her shirt soaked and clinging to her body.

"I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry!" Liu Jing scrambled to his feet, almost trying to wipe her face with his hands.

Dongfang Jin smeared water on her face, exasperated, "Can't you just let me finish what I'm saying?"

Chapter Seven: Liu Jing, one of the Seven Fairy Beauties

, was born by the sea and was an excellent swimmer with exceptional lung capacity. Her spittle sprayed with tremendous force. Dongfang Jin's face and head were soaked, her gauze shirt completely drenched, revealing glimpses of her snow-white skin and her prominent breasts beneath her white bra.

Liu Jing found a towel and handed it to her, suppressing a laugh, "Jin'er, you want to be my concubine. While your intentions are good and you seem sincere, what's the big deal? I have five wives. Do you think you can just become my concubine so easily?"

"Pah! Who wants to be your concubine? Dream on!" Liu Jing was still arrogant. Dongfang Jin blushed and angrily snatched the towel away.

Liu Jing smiled and sat down to continue drinking water. After wiping herself, Dongfang Jin glared at him irritably, sat down beside him, and said, "I said I wanted to be your concubine, although it's not really true, but I really want to experience it, because..."

"Are you crazy? Why not experience this?" Liu Jing interrupted, puzzled.

"You're the one who's crazy!" Dongfang Jin's almond-shaped eyes glared at him. "Didn't I tell you it's for writing a report?" "

Becoming a concubine for writing a report? You're too dedicated!" Liu Jing still didn't understand. Dongfang Jin patiently explained, "To tell you the truth, this report is very important to me. If I write it well, I might get into Xinhua News Agency."

"What kind of report is so important?" Liu Jing was somewhat convinced and poured her another glass of water.

Dongfang Jin took a sip, smoothed her wet hair, and said, "This report is a project for the Press and Publication Bureau. I studied law and used to work for an entertainment magazine in Beijing. It was a lot of work to get this. If I write it well, not only can I get into Xinhua News Agency, but I might even be nominated for the World Press Photo Award?"

"Does anyone get the World Press Photo Award? Especially Chinese media?" Dongfang Jin became increasingly boastful. Liu Jing scoffed.

Dongfang Jin said, "That's why I chose the unusual subject of polygamy."

"How did you come up with this subject?" Liu Jing looked at her, a hint of admiration in his eyes. There was once a French female writer who, to write about polygamy, personally spent two years as a concubine in an African tribe, enduring hardship and humiliation from the older black women. Now, Dongfang Jin was also going to be a concubine to write a report; he couldn't understand this behavior, but he couldn't help but admire this spirit.

Dongfang Jin hesitated, lowering her head to drink water, and said, "Because I once knew such a person."

"Then why didn't you go to him?" Liu Jing was still puzzled.

Dongfang Jin's eyes flashed as she said, "Because I had some feelings for him, and I was afraid of getting caught up in it."

What kind of talk was that? Liu Jing was annoyed, glaring at him resentfully: "So you mean, pretending to be that guy's mistress makes you afraid of getting caught up in it, but pretending to be my mistress makes you not afraid of getting caught up in it, and you're telling me you're pretending to be his husband again? Actually, you're nothing to me?"

"Heh, you..." Dongfang Jin looked Liu Jing up and down, her eyes filled with pity and reluctance, "Of course, you're not bad either, young and energetic, good-looking, and fairly wealthy, but with him... actually, you don't need to be so self-conscious. I think you're very clear-headed, really. Although we haven't had much contact, I think your greatest strength is that you can recognize yourself and know your place."

Recognize yourself. Knowing your place—that was indeed Liu Jing's strength, but hearing it from Dongfang Jin's mouth made it sound even worse. Liu Jing was indignant and about to retort when his phone suddenly rang. It was his new wife, Tian Yu.

Liu Jing suppressed his emotions. He nodded apologetically to Dongfang Jin. He answered the phone: "Tian Yu, what's up?"

"Um..." The young policewoman seemed a little embarrassed. He paused for a moment before saying, "Liu Jing, I'd like to invite Lele to dinner tonight. I've already told her. Why don't you come with me?"

Invite Dong Le to dinner?! Last night, this girl flattered him, saying Dong Le had a crush on him, and now she wants to invite him to dinner. What does this mean? Liu Jing asked cautiously, "Why the sudden dinner invitation?"

Tian Yu said shyly, "Lele is my best friend. I followed you without discussing it with her. She was angry last night, and I want to make up with her!"

"Okay, whatever you say." Liu Jing couldn't help but chuckle. "How about this, I'll call Yu Xia, and we'll invite her together."

"No, no! You're not allowed to call Captain Qin!" Tian Yu protested. "I'm your wife now. I want you to invite me alone to show my status. If you call Captain Qin, I won't be the mistress anymore. How can I show my status then?"

This little girl, less than twenty-four hours into the relationship, already wants to show her status. She's really quite adorable. Liu Jing laughed again: "Alright, then let's have a private dinner just for the two of us, so you can really enjoy being the hostess!"

"Come on!" Tian Yu said coquettishly, "I'm the youngest and the last one, if you don't treat me well, I won't have any status! I promise you, I definitely won't make any excessive demands in the future, and you have to promise me too, you have to do whatever I want, or I won't listen!"

"Okay, okay, I promise." Dongfang Jin was still standing to the side, Liu Jing glanced at her and said, "So, where should we have the dinner?"

"I don't know, you're a man, you decide."

Liu Jing thought for a moment and said, "How about the Causeway Bay Seafood?" This was the place Yu Xia had first invited him to, and also the place where he and Yu Xia, the little tiger, first met. Dong Le was also a traffic policeman, so Liu Jing naturally thought of this place.

"Okay." Tian Yu was satisfied and earnestly instructed, "You come pick us up after work, don't be late, and don't forget."

"Don't worry, I won't forget, and I won't be late." Liu Jing smiled and promised, his heart full of sweetness. Although it hadn't been a day yet, Xiao Tiantian was incredibly obedient and adorable, like a porcelain doll. He was absolutely smitten, to the core.

Dongfang Jin, standing nearby, listened intently, her eyes darting around when she heard about Causeway Bay seafood.

After a conversation with Xiao Tiantian, Liu Jing was overjoyed and oblivious to Dongfang Jin's disdain. He hung up and said, "Jin'er, since you don't like me anyway, I don't want to humiliate myself. How about this, you don't have to pretend to be my concubine. We're friends, so whatever you want to know, I'll tell you. Consider it my way of helping you win the World Press Photo Award. If you win, it'll be my contribution to the honor of my country."

Dongfang Jin glanced at him, amused, and said, "Oh, who's got such a powerful phone call? Enough to make a shrewd businessman like you so generous?"

Liu Jing replied confidently, "Never mind that, I agree. Remember, from 9 AM to 3 PM, I'll be repairing cars at the shop, and after work I have to go home to my wife. I can only accept your interview at other times; you can decide for yourself."

"No problem." Dongfang Jin checked the time. "It's past 9 PM now. I'm leaving now, I'll contact you later." With a sly smile, he tiptoed out.

Dongfang Jin left without hesitation, quite decisively. Liu Jing shook his head, changed into his work clothes, and went to work. Liu Jing repaired cars at the shop as usual. After 3 PM, he went to the company for a quick look, then called Yu Xia, and went to the traffic police station to pick up Tian Yu and Dong Le.

The autumn evening breeze was gentle, and the scent of chrysanthemums and osmanthus wafted through the city. Early fallen leaves danced in the air along the streets. Liu Jing recalled a poem he had written years ago: "Trees watch the falling leaves / and can't help but feel sorrow / Farmers tread on the fallen leaves / hurrying to the autumn harvest." He wasn't rushing to the autumn harvest, but he felt no sorrow; he dared not say women were the harvest, but he had the heart of one.

In front of the traffic police station, under the swaying willow trees, Tian Yu stood gracefully, her beautiful face radiating happiness; Dong Le, hand on her handbag, seemed nonchalant, but her eyes were full of resentment

. "Liu Jing!" Before the car had even stopped, the young policewoman waved and called out cheerfully. Liu Jing smiled knowingly and nodded to Dong Le

. "Lele. Get in the car!" Tian Yu's smile was radiant, urging Dong Le with eager shyness. Dong Le glanced at Liu Jing and reluctantly got in. Tian Yu stuck out her tongue. She followed, and the car set off.

On the way, Tian Yu was like a happy kitten, greeting everyone, sometimes joyfully trying to please Dong Le, sometimes tenderly accommodating Liu Jing. Liu Jing was both amused and exasperated. Dong Le was helpless and indifferent. They arrived at the Causeway Bay restaurant. This place held great significance.

Different seasons, similar scenery. There were two other women there. Liu Jing was filled with emotion, shaking his head as the waiter led him to park the car. The three entered, and Liu Jing found a window seat, the same spot where he and Yu Xia had sat facing each other. Dong Le sat alone, while Tian Yu nestled close to Liu Jing, sitting gracefully opposite him. When

the waiter came to take their order, Tian Yu glanced sweetly at him and pushed the menu towards Dong Le: "Lele, today Liu Jing and I are treating you. Order whatever you like."

"It doesn't matter, I'm just giving you face. You two can order whatever you want," Dong Le said, raising her eyebrows slightly and pushing the menu back.

The two exchanged a glance. Tian Yu pouted and said, "Lele, why are you like this? You're my best friend. I have a husband now. Aren't you happy for me?"

"Happy? Humph!" Dong Le glared at Liu Jing. "What kind of person is he? Everyone else might not know, but you know perfectly well. Only you, willingly falling so low, still treat him like a treasure!"

Liu Jing frowned, about to say something with a wry smile, but Tian Yu quickly stopped him, looked at the waiter beside her, and said seriously, "How can you say that? You admire Captain Qin the most. Now Captain Qin and I... are the same. What's wrong with that?"

"You..." The waiter was still standing to the side. Dong Le swallowed her words and waved her hand, saying, "Forget it, forget it. It's your mutual consent. What's the use of me saying anything? Hurry up and order."

"Okay, I'll order what you like." Tian Yu smiled and looked at Liu Jing as she opened the menu.

Dong Le secretly shook her head and sighed repeatedly. Liu Jing's heart was surging as she looked deeply at the person beside her. Polygamy is so abnormal, yet Tian Yu accepted it so quickly and naturally, without the slightest reluctance. He truly liked it and was genuinely moved.

Tian Yu was ordering food when a yellow car slowly pulled up outside the window. It was a very familiar yellow car, and Liu Jing's eyes widened in surprise. The car stopped, and Dongfang Jin led a tall armed police captain out, winking smugly at him through the window.

This Jin'er must have been eavesdropping on his phone call to join in the fun—how shameless! However, Liu Jing didn't care, because he saw something else that surprised him. The armed police captain glanced at him, his face immediately turning angry, and he shifted his gaze to the person beside him.

Liu Jing turned his head and saw something even more astonishing. Tian Yu stopped ordering, his face flushed, and he lowered his head in fear; Dong Le was also extremely awkward, his eyes darting around. He understood somewhat and asked the two, "Who is this guy? He looks like a Kuomintang prisoner."

The glorious People's Armed Police being described as a Kuomintang prisoner made Dong Le retort irritably, "You're the one who looks like a Kuomintang prisoner!" Liu Jing ignored her, still looking at the person beside him. Tian Yu weakly said, "He...he's the guy Lele introduced me to."

Sure enough, it was true, life is full of unexpected encounters. Not long ago, he and Yu Xia had run into Little Tiger and Zhao Tonghai, and now they'd met another pair. It wasn't a big deal, but from Yu Xia's deceased husband to the American PhD, and now this Armed Police captain, everyone was taller and more handsome than him, making Liu Jing a little depressed.

"It's okay, it's all in the past, don't think too much about it." Liu Jing glanced out the window and considerately took his new wife's hand. Tian Yu was deeply grateful, gazing at him intently, and unconsciously leaned closer to him.

The armed police captain was seething with resentment, but Dongfang Jin was oblivious. She cheerfully pulled him inside, calling out from afar, "Hey, Liu Jing, what a coincidence! Officer Tian, we meet again!"

Liu Jing was both amused and exasperated, waving to the waiter to leave. Dong Le looked embarrassed and remained silent. Fortunately, Tian Yu raised an eyelid and nodded timidly.

The waiter bowed slightly, then looked away with a strange expression. Dongfang Jin, overly excited, stepped forward with a playful smile, saying, "Liu Jing, Officer Tian, let me introduce you. This is my boyfriend, Ji Dushan, the head of the finance section of the armed police detachment."

Tian Yu was incredibly embarrassed, nodding again with an awkward smile and moving closer to Liu Jing. Liu Jing nodded politely, squeezing Tian Yu's hand under the table, but inwardly chuckled. Ji Dushan, Monte Cristo, what a ridiculous name! He might as well call him Alexandre Dumas! Speechless!

Dongfang Jin turned around and said, "Dushan, this is Officer Tian from the Women's Mounted Police Team; this is Liu Jing, the owner of Duoduo Auto Repair Shop, hehe, or..."

"Or the hero of the Ideal Case, am I right?" Ji Dushan suddenly interrupted.

"Yes, yes, that's him!" Dongfang Jin exclaimed in surprise, "You know him too?"

"I know more than I know, I know quite a lot!" Ji Dushan smiled coldly and walked behind Dong Le, "As far as I know, this hero has four wives, but now—" Ji Dushan glanced around and finally landed on Liu Jing's face, "Now I know I was wrong, he should have seven wives."

"Seven?" Dongfang Jin didn't understand and stared blankly at Liu Jing.

"That's right!" Ji Dushan said contemptuously, "He originally had four, plus the three of you, isn't that exactly seven?"

It was still early, and there weren't many diners in the restaurant, but they all watched with surprise and suspicion. Liu Jing calmly looked at the three women, patiently remaining silent; Tian Yu nervously shrank to Liu Jing's side, looking at Dong Le with difficulty. Dong Le turned her face away and sighed impatiently.

Dongfang Jin was just beginning to understand when she suddenly realized she was being dragged into it too. She immediately exclaimed, "Dushan, are you crazy? What nonsense are you spouting?"

"Calm down!" Ji Dushan chuckled, pointing at Dong Le. "Jin'er, you don't know this lady, do you? Let me introduce you. Her name is Dong Le, captain of the women's mounted police team, daughter of our branch's political commissar, Xun. To be honest, I pursued her, but she didn't agree. She even kindly introduced me to Officer Tian." Ji Dushan seemed nonchalant, then walked over to Tian Yu.

Tian Yu quickly shifted his position, leaning against Liu Jing. Liu Jing sighed inwardly, reaching out to put his arm around Tian Yu's shoulder. They were both men, and this was a situation like this. He could understand Ji's feelings, but he hadn't done anything wrong, nor had he wronged him.

Ji Dushan waved his arm and continued, "When I met Officer Tian, things were going well. I even treated them both to dinner at the Marriott. But on our first date, she said it wasn't right and dumped me. I was wondering why things changed so quickly. Now I understand why Dong Le rejected me, why the branch office rented a garage with so little money, why Tian Yu broke up with me, and you, Jin'er, you—you…" Ji Dushan pointed at the three women, his voice filled with jealousy and indignation, "So all three of you were his concubines!"

"Wow!" The surrounding diners gasped in surprise, then fell silent.

Tian Yu's face flushed crimson, her head bowed, nestled tightly in Liu Jing's arms. Dong Le frowned, a hint of disgust and resentment in her eyes. Just as she was about to say something, Dongfang Jin said angrily, "Ji Dushan, have you lost your mind? He and I are just ordinary friends!"

"Ordinary friends? How dare you say that!" Ji Dushan abruptly turned around. "We haven't known each other for long, but every time we meet, you make excuses. Today, you took the initiative to come find me, dragging me here without even letting me change my clothes. Can you say it wasn't for him?" He then pointed at Liu Jing.

"I...I was..." Dongfang Jin stammered. She really had dragged Liu Jing along as a third wheel, but it was only for an interview.

Given all the twists and turns, the armed police captain's outburst was understandable. Liu Jing moved Tian Yu aside, stood up, and said, "Section Chief Ji, it's true that Captain Dong helped me rent your garage, and I admit that Tian Yu is now my wife. But Captain Xun and I are just ordinary friends. As for Reporter Dongfang, I was just one of his interviewees. You've really misunderstood."

"Misunderstood? I'm not blind. Seeing it with my own eyes, how could I misunderstand?" Ji Dushan's eyes gleamed with rage, growing even more furious. "You, surnamed Liu, you're really something, shameless! What the hell did I do to you? You have four wives and you're still not satisfied? I only like these three women. You've fooled them all. You're worthless!" Before he finished speaking, a punch slammed towards Liu Jing.

Damn! How could he just hit me like that?

Ji Dushan's fist, as big as a bowl, arrived in an instant. Liu Jing was shocked and quickly sat back, raising his leg to kick over the table to block. Ji Dushan suddenly raised his right leg, pressing it firmly against the table, his left and right fists unchanged, striking with a gust of wind.

The People's Armed Police are the People's Armed Police. They are far superior to Kuomintang prisoners!

"Ah!" The three women were slightly taken aback. They all exclaimed in surprise. Tian Yu twisted her body and pounced on Liu Jing to shield him; Dong Le and Dongfang Jin rushed forward to block her from the left and right.

Ji Dushan was exceptionally skilled. Without changing his posture, he swayed his shoulders to the left and right, knocking Dong Le and Dongfang Jin aside. He slightly gathered his right fist, and his left hand struck first, grabbing Tian Yu's shoulder. How could Liu Jing let Tian Yu suffer for him? He quickly grabbed her and turned around. In that instant, Ji Dushan's iron fist was already in front of him.

"Ah—pop!" Seeing that Lu Zhishen was about to punch Zheng Guanxi, and that the red, black, and crimson colors were about to burst forth, inevitably making a sound like a chime or a bowl, Liu Jing, in a moment of quick thinking, spat a mouthful of saliva directly at Ji Dushan's fist. This was the signature move of the great swordsman Jin Shiyi, and Liu Jing used it now.

Jin Yong's move was ruthless; it was neither easy to block nor to intercept. Not wanting to be spitting out Liu Jing's disgusting saliva, Ji Dushan instinctively retreated to his original position before Dong Le and Dongfang Jin could charge forward a second time, also regaining his composure.

"Wow! Impressive skill!" The onlookers gave him a thumbs up, unsure whether they were praising Count de Montesquieu or Liu Jing.

In just a few seconds, the situation returned to normal, as if nothing had happened. Liu Jing and the three women caught their breath, but before they could speak, Ji Dushan said, "See? See? I figured it out immediately! What do you scoundrels have to say now?"

"Wow! So it was a test, didn't I?" The diners suddenly realized.

Liu Jing and the others, who had just breathed a sigh of relief, almost slipped under the table upon hearing Count de Montesquieu's words. Dongfang Jin glanced at Liu Jing and the others, then stepped forward and grabbed Ji Dushan's arm: "Dushan, there's really nothing between him and me. Let's go first, and I'll explain to you slowly."

"You don't need to explain, we're finished!" Ji Dushan arrogantly pushed Dongfang Jin away, disdainfully saying, "If you're willing to debase yourself, then go be their concubine. I'm not worthy of a promiscuous woman like you!"

"You..." Dongfang Jin was furious.

"Bang!" Dong Le slammed her hand on the table and stood up, "So what if we're concubines? We'll be them, and we're happy to be them. Is it any of your business? If you're so capable, go find one yourself! You're a grown man, acting so arrogantly and rudely in public. Aren't you ashamed? I'm embarrassed for you! No wonder you can't even find a girlfriend! Who would want to be with a good-for-nothing like you?"

Acting Captain Dong, who always took Yu Xia as her role model, now showed her true colors as a woman.

Monte Cristo trembled with rage, his handsome face shifting rapidly. He stammered, pointing for a long time before finally saying, "Fine, you're all tough. We'll see. If I don't make you regret this, I'm not a member of the Ji family!" With that, he turned and left.

"Dushan..." It was all a misunderstanding, and Dongfang Jin still felt a pang of pity.

"Don't worry about him, just let him go!" Dong Le, still furious, grabbed Dongfang Jin, blocking Ji Dushan's retreating figure. Dong Le had gone too far again. Dongfang Jin looked at everyone blankly, at a loss; Liu Jing and Tian Yu exchanged wry smiles.

Ji Dushan huffed and puffed as he left the restaurant and got into the yellow Renault. Liu Jing pointed out the window, reminding her, "Jin'er, your car." Dongfang Jin sighed, gently smoothing her hair as she sat down next to Dong Le: "That car was borrowed for me; I should drive it away."

The yellow Renault sped off. Liu Jing said apologetically, "Jin'er, I'm so sorry, because I made you..."

"It doesn't matter," Dongfang Jin smiled self-deprecatingly. “I’ve only known him for a few days, there’s no real feeling between us, I just wanted some company when I had free time.”

Liu Jing didn’t speak, but she didn’t quite agree with this view on relationships. Dong Le interjected, “Dongfang, this kind of person is so suspicious and petty. You’re a reporter, you’ll be dealing with men a lot in the future, being with him will lead to disaster, you’ll be finished sooner or later!”

“Thank you, Captain Dong.” Dongfang Jin smiled. Then she said to everyone, “I’m really sorry, it’s all my fault for wanting to interview Liu Jing, causing this whole mess and making you all suffer.”

Dong Le and Tian Yu looked at her questioningly, puzzled. Dongfang Jin smiled awkwardly, looked at Liu Jing, and explained the purpose of the interview. The two then understood. Dong Le glanced at Liu Jing but didn’t comment; Tian Yu smiled shyly. Instead, she felt a little proud.

The excitement subsided, things returned to normal, and the waiters, who had been trembling with fear for a while, came forward again. Dong Le, in a burst of enthusiasm, ordered a bunch of food and drinks without any hesitation. Liu Jing tentatively asked, "Dong Le, Section Chief Ji works at your dad's workplace. Won't she go back and talk nonsense?" Dong Le had openly declared her willingness to be his concubine, and Ji Dushan was clearly provoked; he couldn't help but worry.

"Who does he think he is? If he dares to spread rumors, I'll make sure he's dead!" Dong Le waved her hand dismissively. "You do what you need to do. Don't worry about me. Just make sure Sister Qin and Tian Yu don't suffer."

Liu Jing nodded without saying a word. Tian Yu secretly smiled and winked at Liu Jing. Dongfang Jin seemed to sense something. She looked at Dong Le in surprise, then glanced at Liu Jing.

Soon, the food and drinks were served, and the group, having shaken off their earlier unpleasantness, began to eat and drink amidst the gazes of the other diners. Liu Jing, a man of few words, continued to drink his beverage as usual; Tian Yu, like a kitten, clung to him, frequently urging him to drink and eat, indulging in her role as the hostess; Dong Le was the most forthright, often raising a glass with Dongfang Jin, exchanging pleasantries; Dongfang Jin, too, opened up, chatting enthusiastically with everyone while eating, gaining a wealth of firsthand information. The meal lasted until dark, ending in a very pleasant atmosphere.

After dinner, Liu Jing, based on the distance to their addresses, drove Dong Le, Tian Yu, and Dongfang Jin home, before heading home himself. Facing the bustling city night, Liu Jing felt a little dizzy. He hadn't wronged Ji Dushan in any way, but he had unintentionally hurt someone; he could be indifferent, but he couldn't help feeling a little guilty; he desperately wanted to find an answer to his feelings, but couldn't find a foothold. In the modern city, the only rule of the game is no rule; he suddenly wanted to know how Dongfang Jin's report would be analyzed.

The next day, Liu Jing went to the shop to repair his car as usual, taking breaks in his office to drink water. Yu Xia suddenly rushed in. Liu Jing greeted her, "Yu Xia, what brings you here?"

"You still have the nerve to ask? Look at the mess you've made!" Yu Xia was furious and threw a newspaper at him.

It was the latest issue of *Our Common People*, a well-known leisure newspaper in S City, mostly about trivial matters. Liu Jing glanced at it, then unfolded the newspaper with a puzzled look. The headline on the second page caught his attention: "Heroes and Women, Strange and Unusual, Seven Beautiful Women Appear in the City!" The subtitle was: "The Modern-Day Wei Xiaobao's Womanizing Stories."

Liu Jing quickly looked for the author's name and found it in parentheses at the end of the article: "Correspondent Ji Dushan." Holy crap! This Monte Cristo has transformed into a jealous mountain, exposing all his family's dirty laundry!

Liu Jing quickly skimmed through the contents. This guy hadn't used his real name, but he'd used surnames—Liu, Qin, Dong, Dongfang, etc. What was even more infuriating was that he not only mentioned Qin and Dong as two former captains of a certain police force, and Guo as the daughter of a certain leader, but also specifically mentioned that "Liu" was a hero in a commercial corruption case a year ago. Anyone familiar with the Ideal Case could guess it was Liu Jing.

Yu Xia glanced at him, amused, and said, "Young Master Liu, you're quite the ladies' man, even the Seven Fairies have come out. How do you explain this to me?" She then grabbed his crotch.

"This…" Liu Jing wiggled his buttocks, innocently saying, "Yu Xia, this is all fabrication, you know that, right?" "

Whether it's fabricated or not, the impact is already there!" Yu Xia pouted, aggrieved, "I just got to work today and the political commissar called me in for a talk, telling me to be careful about the impact, and even said that if it really didn't work out, I should find someone to marry. I'm too ashamed to face anyone now!"

"What do you say?" Public opinion is a powerful force, not to be ignored. Liu Jing hugged Yu Xia and sat her on the sofa.

Yu Xia, seething with resentment, gritted her teeth and said, "What else can I say? I offered my resignation right then and there, but he wouldn't agree. He told me to take a break and come back to work when things calm down."

Liu Jing nodded without speaking, frowning in thought. Yu Xia looked at him and said, "Why are you so gloomy? So what if it's been exposed? It's just a small matter, what's the big deal?"

"Of course it's nothing, but..." Liu Jing hadn't finished speaking when his phone suddenly rang loudly. Liu Jing took it out and smiled wryly, gesturing to Yu Xia, "Look, trouble's here?"

Yu Xia peeked out and smiled, "Fine, you're going to get a scolding."

Damn Ji Dushan, Liu Jing shook his head and answered the phone.

"Little Liu, what's wrong with you? You've made a huge fuss, my family is too ashamed to show our faces!" As soon as the call connected, the dissatisfied voice of Guo Jun, the deputy mayor and finance bureau chief, came through.

Liu Jing, sweating profusely, said, "Brother, let me explain, this isn't my fault..."

"If it's not your fault, who is?" Vice Mayor Guo said angrily, "If you hadn't been involved with so many women, would this have happened? What's wrong with Yangyang? You're even the Seventh Fairy..."

"B-Brother!" Liu Jing was extremely embarrassed and quickly interrupted, "Well, I know I was wrong, but the rest isn't true. I know you must have a solution, please help me think of something, I'll listen to you, okay?"

At this point, further words were useless. Guo Jun sighed, "I've spoken to the Armed Police and had them transfer that kid to guard the prison in the mountains. The newspapers have also been recalled, but the impact won't subside anytime soon. Don't stay in the city, go and keep Yangyang company, and come back after things have calmed down."

"Okay, okay, I'll arrange it, I'll leave in the next couple of days." Liu Jing nodded repeatedly.

"Having such a spendthrift brother-in-law is really damn unlucky!" Vice Mayor Guo cursed angrily and hung up the phone.

Yu Xia listened intently to the phone, finally bursting into laughter: "Honey, I'm so unlucky to have such a spendthrift husband like you!" The public opinion

surrounding the "Four Beauties Under One Roof" incident

is both terrifying and not terrifying. Those who are carefree and natural aren't afraid of public opinion, but such people often crave a peaceful and free life, and public opinion can disrupt that peace. Therefore, public opinion is also terrifying, at least causing annoyance.

Despite Guo Jun's strong support, the consequences of the news exposure were still severe. Not to mention the whispers and pointing fingers behind their backs, the small media reporters who would shoot and then move on were enough to annoy them. From Duoduo Auto Repair to Dongxing Company, from the female police team to the traffic police brigade, and even Liu Jing's several homes, paparazzi were constantly on the move. The lives of Liu Jing's family, including Dong Le's, were completely disrupted.

The exposure disrupted Liu Jing's life but brought huge advertising effects to the auto repair shop. Three of the "Seven Fairies" were traffic police, including the captain and squad leader—what kind of power was that? Duoduo Auto Repair's business skyrocketed. Car washes, repairs, and even routine checks made the repair shop bustling with customers, more lively than the car market itself. The car owners all wanted to get to know the three policewomen, hoping to build relationships and avoid getting points deducted.

All three of Liu Jing's escape routes were being targeted by the paparazzi, but luckily he had a fourth: his new wife Tian Yu's little house. At this moment, the three of them were hiding in this house, indulging in sweet lewdness, three naked worms writhing and thrashing on

the bed. "Ah!...Ahhh!...Ahhh!" Yu Xia's expression was blissful, letting out a blissful cheer, her naked body covered in sweat, wildly thrusting her large buttocks against Liu Jing, her long hair flowing passionately behind her head, her large breasts bouncing vividly.

Liu Jing leaned against the headboard, his hands gripping Yu Xia's buttocks tightly for support; Tian Yu, though not yet ready, was also stripped naked, her naked body circling the two like a little lamb, sometimes sweetly kissing Liu Jing, sometimes giggling as she sucked on Yu Xia's nipples.

This was the young policewoman Tian Yu's first threesome, but it was very natural, without the slightest affectation. It wasn't that she was inherently promiscuous, but rather that she was too obedient and compliant. As long as Liu Jing was happy, she would genuinely reciprocate and enjoy the pleasure—it was that simple.

Tian Yu, though not promiscuous, reacted instinctively. The young policewoman circled twice, finally unable to bear the loneliness any longer. She raised her white, plump buttocks and crouched behind him to observe their union. Liu Jing's thick penis moved in and out of Yu Xia's secret place, Yu Xia's wet lower body and opening and closing anus. And there were the wanton moans in her ears. Tian Yu's face flushed red, and she couldn't help but swallow hard. A drop of vaginal fluid splashed onto her face. Tian Yu licked her lips and kissed their joined genitals.

"Ah! Tian Yu, don't, don't lick, sister... I'll go crazy!" Yu Xia's mature body trembled, her moans instantly rising in intensity, sounding like a cry.

Tian Yu smiled slyly, suddenly opening her mouth wide and kissing even more passionately.

"Ahhh!...Ahhh! I can't take it anymore. It's coming!" Stimulated by Tian Yu, Yu Xia's cries of pleasure intensified, and her movements suddenly became more intense. She twisted her waist wildly, her large buttocks slamming violently, the crisp slapping sounds of their collision echoing throughout the room. Both policewomen were too wanton, and Liu Jing couldn't resist any longer. He tightened his grip, his ten fingers digging into Yu Xia's buttocks. He thrust deep into the woman's deepest part.

One ejaculated. The other contracted. A large amount of mixed fluid flowed from Yu Xia's secret place, and Tian Yu panted heavily. He lightly licked and sucked, taking it all in.

Yu Xia lay panting on Liu Jing, ignoring her lack of strength, and brushed her sweaty hair aside to look back. The little policewoman was still a virgin, and her first time in such a lewd act was so vivid and engaging. It surprised her greatly; such pure and natural lewdness made her feel ashamed of herself.

Tian Yu, her innocent eyes sparkling, smacked her lips, savoring the taste of their mixed fluids. Seeing this, she asked, "Sister Qin, why are you looking at me?"

Liu Jing chuckled. Yu Xia and Liu Jing exchanged a glance, both amused and exasperated. "You still have the nerve to ask? You're usually like a little kitten, but you're such a flirt at heart! I really misjudged you!"

"Who's flirtatious? It's just that my husband likes it!" Tian Yu said coquettishly, shrinking closer to Liu Jing.

"Yes, our little Tian Tian is the best, the most obedient." Liu Jing was overjoyed, hugging the young policewoman and kissing her.

Yu Xia gave her a sour glance, shaking her head as she detached herself from Liu Jing and nestled to the other side. Although the young policewoman had only been with them for two days, and despite the novelty, she had to admit that she had quickly won Liu Jing's heart, and Yu Xia was genuinely a little jealous.

Liu Jing, of course, understood Yu Xia's feelings. He turned around, hugged her, and kissed the young lady again, then said, "Yu Xia, let's go home tomorrow. If we don't leave soon, everyone will be unhappy."

"Okay, I have no objection." Yu Xia raised an eyebrow, then said sourly, "You're bringing another wife; your mother will be happy now."

Liu Jing smiled but didn't speak. Tian Yu asked timidly, "Liu Jing, will Mom and Dad and Sister Zheng not like me?"

"How could they?" Liu Jing laughed. "You're so well-behaved and beautiful; Mom and Dad are overjoyed. As for Fang Xi and the others, Yu Xia has already explained things to us; they're all waiting for you to come." Liu Jing seized the opportunity to speak well of Yu Xia, but it was indeed the truth.

"Thank you, Sister Qin," Tian Yu said sweetly.

Yu Xia snorted, glancing away, finally finding some balance. Tian Yu thought for a moment, then suddenly said worriedly, "Honey, what will happen to Lele if we leave?"

Liu Jing frowned and remained silent. The exposure of the incident also caused Dong Le great distress. Not only was she also suspended from her duties, but her squadron leader order was also temporarily suspended. More seriously, Dong Le's father was furious and gave his daughter a severe scolding. Now, Dong Le has fallen out with her family and is living alone in the dormitory.

Tian Yu glanced at Yu Xia, then tugged at Liu Jing's arm, saying, "Honey, Lele is so pitiful, and she's my best friend. Should we...should we bring her home too?"

This suggestion was utterly absurd. Liu Jing was stunned, and before he could speak, Yu Xia interrupted, "Tian Yu, what are you saying? You've only been here a few days and you're already acting like a spoiled brat. Do you even have the right to speak?"

Tian Yu blushed and weakly said, "Sister Qin, why are you talking to her like that? At work, you're the boss, but this is home. Everyone should be equal. Why can't I speak?"

"Hey, you little brat, you've already learned to be arrogant!" Yu Xia was annoyed, sitting up abruptly. "Who gave you the guts? Who gave you the right? Who let you bring women home like that? Did you even get my permission before making this decision?"

Yu Xia's imposing aura made the young policewoman a little intimidated, but she still stubbornly retorted, "I just let her go for a walk, I didn't say she had to be like us. Besides, Lele is your friend too. You wouldn't even know Liu Jing without Lele, so why are you being so selfish now?"

"Heh, you dare challenge me? You've gone too far!" Yu Xia said fiercely. She jumped up, her large buttocks thrusting, ready to pounce on Tian Yu.

Tian Yu cried out and buried her head in Liu Jing's arms.

"Hey, Yu Xia!" Liu Jing quickly stopped her. Yu Xia ignored her, swatting her away and crawling over, her massive buttocks raised high, to deliver a hard slap to Tian Yu's bare bottom. "Ah!" Tian Yu screamed in pain, her little bottom instantly turning bright red, leaving a large handprint.

The young policewoman pitifully looked up: "Honey, look! She's bullying me!" Liu Jing was both amused and exasperated. He could only say a few token words to Yu Xia. Yu Xia, unfazed, proudly crawled back to Liu Jing's other side, her large breasts swaying arrogantly.

After a brief interlude in their private conversation, Liu Jing patiently said, "Tian Yu, I know you care about Dong Le, but Yu Xia is right, we can't bring her home. Our family situation is already special, and now there are rumors flying everywhere. Bringing her home would just add fuel to the fire. If Dong Le's father finds out, he might not only scold her, but he might even sever their father-daughter relationship!"

Liu Jing's words made sense, and Tian Yu pouted and lowered her head again, her face full of reluctance. Polygamy is certainly abnormal, but the taste of family and love is too sweet. The young policewoman sincerely wanted her best friend to be with her, even if it meant sharing a husband.

The three of them lay naked for a while when Liu Jing's phone suddenly rang. It was Little Tiger, far away in their hometown. He answered, "Fang Xi. I was just about to call you. We'll be..."

"Honey! Something terrible has happened!" Fang Xi interrupted anxiously, "My mom called and said that Sister Meng killed someone in America!"

"What? Murder!" Liu Jing sat up abruptly.

Before he could process what was happening, Guo Guo's voice came through the phone: "Honey, it's like this, didn't you send her to Hollywood to see Sister Gong? She went, and on her way back, she killed a Japanese man, and someone even took pictures. Stanley says there's plenty of evidence, and she'll be sentenced soon!"

Shen Meng killed someone? This is unbelievable! She's only been in America for two days, how could she have killed someone, especially a Japanese man? Liu Jing couldn't understand it and was still in a daze.

"Honey, don't panic!" Xu Yan's voice came through the phone again, "We'll take a taxi back right away. You go find Brother Xiao for help; he'll definitely have a way. We'll go to America together, and we'll definitely be able to get Sister Meng out!" At

this critical moment, Xu Yan remained calm as always. Liu Jing snapped out of his reverie and said, "Do as you say. I'll go find Brother Xiao right away. Have Fangxi call Mom and Dad and tell them not to worry, that Sister will be alright. Also, have Guo Guo call Gong Xiaoyan and ask her to ask Sheriff Stanley to help look after her. We can't let Sister suffer any losses."

"I understand. Don't worry."

Liu Jing hung up the phone and looked at Yu Xia with concern. The two women were also visibly shaken after hearing the conversation. Yu Xia comforted them, "Don't worry, we'll go find Xiao Shi right away. As long as Shen Meng is innocent, with Xiao Shi around, she'll definitely be fine." "

Okay." Liu Jing nodded, feeling much relieved. He was completely confident that with Attorney Xiao's terrifying legal genius, he could definitely clear Shen Meng's name.

The two then dressed and prepared to leave. Tian Yu remained naked on the bed, lost in thought. Yu Xia said, "Tian Yu, what are you doing sitting there like an idiot without any clothes on?"

Tian Yu glanced at her, then grabbed Liu Jing's arm, "Honey, since we're not going home to America, why don't we let Lele go with us? The situation is so bad right now, and Lele has never been abroad before. Let her go and clear her head, okay?"

Liu Jing frowned and looked at Yu Xia again. Yu Xia sighed, "Forget it, forget it. If you want to look for her, go ahead. If you can persuade her, let her go with us!"

"I'm sure I can persuade her," Tian Yu laughed.

Yu Xia glared at her and said irritably, "Hurry up and get dressed, look at you, you lewd thing!"

Tian Yu playfully stuck out her tongue and pulled at her underwear. Liu Jing and Yu Xia got dressed, and Yu Xia said again, "We're leaving. Don't forget to pick up the child after you've found Dong Le!"

"I know, I won't!" the young policewoman said with a smile.

The three of them set off in two separate groups. Leaving aside Tian Yu, let's talk about Liu Jing and Yu Xia. Yu Xia first called Chang Mei to confirm that Xiao Shi was home. Liu Jing then drove straight to Rose Garden and arrived at the Ling family villa.

The Ling family villa stood majestically, and Liu Si, the head of the Ling family's bodyguards, was leading his men to patrol the perimeter of the villa, seemingly on guard. Liu Jing and Yu Xia exchanged surprised glances, both puzzled.

In front of the villa, Liu Jing slowly parked the car. Liu Si stepped forward and bowed slightly, saying, "Brother Liu. Captain Qin, you've arrived. Lawyer Xiao is waiting for you." "

Hello, Fourth Brother," Liu Jing returned the greeting. Yu Xia said, "What are you doing? What happened? You look like you're facing a major crisis?"

Liu Si looked at the two of them. He smiled wryly and said, "You should go in first. You'll understand once you're inside." The two didn't ask any more questions and got out of the car, full of unanswered questions. Xiao Shi's family was all there, and Fang Yu Ruo came out to welcome them inside.

"Oh, Sister Qin, you've finally arrived! You almost drove us crazy!" As soon as Liu Jing and Yu Xia entered, the petite Chang Mei greeted them with a full-on complaint.

The two were taken aback. Yu Xia said, "We... tricked you? What are you talking about? What happened?"

"You'll see when you read this." Ling Yueru smiled and handed Liu Jing a newspaper.

Liu Jing unfolded it suspiciously. Yu Xia leaned closer. There was a report in the newspaper: "Neighbors live together in harmony, and besides the Seven Fairies, there are four beauties living under one roof—a great lawyer." The two suddenly realized that Liu Jing and the others had hidden at Tian Yu's house. The puppies couldn't find them anywhere and dug up Xiao Shi's family. Liu Si had led people to keep watch outside, obviously to drive away the puppies that tried to get close.

Liu Jing smiled bitterly, "I'm sorry to have implicated you."

"It's nothing, don't listen to Chang Mei's nonsense." Xiao Shi smiled and said, "Come in and sit down, tell me what happened."

Chang Mei pouted and glared at her lover. She took Yu Xia's arm and went inside. Ling Xiao and Chang Zheng were playing in the living room, and Yang Luo had coaxed the two little ones upstairs to watch TV. Everyone sat down. Xiao Shi lit a cigarette. Yang Luo brewed tea and sat down beside her husband.

Liu Jing explained the situation, then said, "I don't know the specifics. But Brother Xiao, my sister-in-law is a very good doctor, incredibly kind-hearted, she definitely wouldn't kill anyone. Please make the trip, you must come with us to America to rescue her."

Xiao Shi said gently, "Don't worry, Brother Liu. Our two families are friends. And this concerns Chinese people. I have a duty to help, and this case shouldn't be too difficult. I will clear your sister-in-law's name."

Liu Jing was both surprised and delighted that he said it wouldn't be difficult without even knowing the details: "How do you know?"

Xiao Shi took a drag of his cigarette and chuckled, "That's not surprising. Americans are like that; if there's no profit to be made, they're always careless. Besides, when Chinese kill Japanese, they're eager to close the case quickly, so there must be loopholes in the investigation."

Xiao Shi was right. Uncle Sam was always careless; otherwise, Ironbottom Sound wouldn't have been attacked after Pearl Harbor. Liu Jing nodded and said gratefully, "Then I

'll trouble you, Brother Xiao." "It's my pleasure," Liu Jing said politely, then turned to Fang Yuruo and said, "Xiaoruo, you go apply for your visa tomorrow. After Brother Liu sets a date, we'll set off together."

"Okay," Fang Yuruo nodded and smiled.

Chang Mei and Yu Xia sat together, looking at their husbands, and said, "Xiao Shi, I can't stand idly by regarding Sister Qin's family's affairs. Besides, I've never been to America; I want to go too."

Before Xiao Shi could speak, Yang Luo glanced at her husband. Xiao Shi saw this and understood, then looked at Ling Yueruo. Ling Yueru sighed inwardly, glanced at Yang Luo, and said, "How about this? Anyway, there's all this gossip going on, and staying at home is just causing trouble. Let's all go. After we finish the case, we can have some fun in America with Captain Qin and his family."

"That's great!" Fang Yuru looked at Liu Jing and Yu Xia, smiled, and said, "My parents have always wanted to see my sisters and their children. They'll be so happy to know we're going."

Chang Mei didn't say anything, but gave Yang Luo a disapproving look. Xiao Shi shook his head inwardly, looking at his wife with a hint of reproach, as if to say, "You naughty girl, are you satisfied now? You're such a troublemaker." Yang Luo smiled smugly, giving her husband a nonchalant wink.

The Xiao family had reached a consensus. Yu Xia nodded to Liu Jing, stood up, and said, "Then thank you all for your hard work. Without further ado, let's get our visas sorted out, and then our two families can set off together and have a good get-together in America."

With the discussion settled, Liu Jing and Yu Xia took their leave, and Xiao Shi and his four wives saw them off.

Through the iron fence to the side, downstairs in Liu Jing's large house, a woman was holding a phone and looking up. Yang Luo, with her sharp eyes, saw her and suddenly ran over excitedly: "Jin'er, is that you?"

Liu Jing, Yu Xia, and Xiao Shi's whole family turned around.

"Sister Yang, it's you?" Dongfang Jin turned her head and suddenly froze. She had gotten into trouble for Liu Jing and wanted to apologize, but unexpectedly found the two families together.

Yang Luo quickly walked through the iron gate and looked her over: "Jin'er, it's been so long, how have you been?"

"Oh, I..."

Dongfang Jin had just started to speak when Chang Mei suddenly rushed up angrily: "You persistent ghost, I've finally caught you! Hmph, do you still recognize me?" Ever since the jealous battle in Cannes, the little woman had been holding back her anger.

Dongfang Jin's face darkened, she looked at Xiao Shi and then turned her gaze to Liu Jing: "I'm sorry, I don't know you, and I've never seen you before. I'm here to see him." She then pointed at Liu Jing.

The little woman was stunned and unconsciously turned around.

Liu Jing coughed and stepped forward, saying, "That's right, she's here to see me."

In the ninth chapter, "Flying to the

Other Shore," as soon as Dongfang Jin appeared, Yang Luo and Chang Mei immediately showed different attitudes. Liu Jing suddenly realized that the polygamous man Dongfang Jin had a crush on was Xiao Shi. He had initially thought Dongfang Jin was from Beijing when she said she worked for a magazine, but it turned out she was his neighbor. However, he admitted defeat; he was indeed not as outstanding as the great lawyer Xiao.

Seeing the little woman's outburst, Yang Luo stepped in front of Dongfang Jin without hesitation, raising his chin to meet Chang Mei's gaze. The little woman was furious and wanted to say something, but Xiao Shi quickly stepped forward and pulled her away. He looked at Liu Jing and said to Dongfang Jin, "Jin'er, long time no see. So you two know each other?"

Dongfang Jin's expression softened slightly, and she nodded to Xiao Shi. Liu Jing didn't know what grudge Chang Yang and Dongfang Jin had, but judging from their demeanor, they knew their circumstances were different. He quickly tried to smooth things over,

saying, "Brother Xiao, and Sister Yang and Sister Chang, it turns out you all know Jin'er! What a coincidence! I'm also quite familiar with Jin'er." "Who cares about knowing her!" Chang Mei retorted, glaring. Yang Luo, with her beautiful eyes, glanced sideways and said, "Whether you know her or not is irrelevant. I know Xiao Shi anyway. Jin'er helped us a lot; we'll never forget it!"

"You…say that again?" Yang Luo's words struck a nerve with Chang Mei, and the young woman was furious.

"What's there to be afraid of saying?" Yang Luo's eyes flashed. "Gratitude is gratitude, and forgetting is forgetting. We're not like some people who do things they shouldn't and then pretend not to remember!"

"You, Yang Luo!" The young woman's hair stood on end; she was about to charge forward.

"Chang Mei, stop it!" Xiao Shi frowned deeply and quickly pulled Chang Mei back. He then hurriedly gave Yang Luo a look. Yang Luo turned his head away, ignoring her.

"What are you doing?" Ling Yueru said angrily, rushing forward. "This happened so many years ago. Why are you still bringing it up? Aren't you afraid of being laughed at by outsiders?" She glared at Yang Luo as she spoke. Although Changmei was rude, it was just her nature; she was even more annoyed with Yang Luo.

Changmei had returned after enduring immense injustice, and was usually very obedient, exceeding her usual efforts, which Ling Yueru appreciated. She could understand Yang Luo's tendency to be pampered and vie for favor, both inside and outside the company. What she resented was Yang Luo taking advantage of her situation and then constantly bringing up old grievances. He did it so often, and now he was doing it again in front of outsiders—how could she not be angry?

Seeing guests off at the door, yet fighting in front of outsiders, was indeed undignified. Both women quieted down, remaining silent. Changmei was deeply aggrieved, glaring coldly; Yang Luo was nonchalant and indifferent.

The situation eased somewhat under Ling Yueru's intimidation. Fang Yuru stepped forward and said, "Sister Chang, so much time has passed, let it go. Reporter Dongfang meant well back then. Besides, she's a guest of Captain Qin's family today; you can't make things difficult for Sister Qin."

The two Xiao women suddenly started arguing, leaving Yuxia and Liu Jing speechless and unable to speak. Yuxia seized the opportunity to persuade them, "Yes, Sister Chang. It's been hundreds of lifetimes. We're sisters. Why are you arguing? If you don't think about others, don't you think about your own son? You're a mother now. How can you be such a role model for your son?"

Mentioning her son, Sister Chang calmed down considerably, regained her pride, and finally slowly withdrew her gaze.

With the situation restored, Xiao Shi let out a long sigh, nodded awkwardly and gratefully to Yuxia, and then looked at Dongfang Jin apologetically. Ling Yueru sighed inwardly, glanced at Yang Luo, and said to Dongfang Jin, "Reporter Dongfang, I'm so sorry, you must have found this amusing."

"How could I? I also had my faults." Dongfang Jin was aware of the enormous upheaval he had caused to Chang and Yang's fates, and felt somewhat guilty. He then said to Chang's sister, "Miss Chang, I didn't mean it back then, but I admit I hurt you. However, I still believe it's your family's destiny. I was just a coincidence; I can't replace the feelings you've built together. Even without me, you would eventually come together for various reasons and form a large family." Ultimately,

everything in this world revolves around the concept of "power and influence." Dongfang Jin's words, though seemingly abstract, were not without reason, and everyone felt the same way. Ling Yueru, Xiao Fang, and Qin Yuxia had only heard of Dongfang Jin before; this was their first meeting, and they couldn't help but scrutinize him closely.

Liu Jing finally had a moment to speak, "Jin'er, what brings you here?"

"Nothing much," Dongfang Jin chuckled awkwardly, glancing at everyone. "I feel terrible for causing so much trouble for both of your families. I came to apologize and also to say goodbye."

"Goodbye?" Liu Jing was taken aback. "Where are you going?"

Dongfang Jin, slightly embarrassed, smoothed her hair and said, "After this incident, I can't stay at the newspaper anymore. I'm planning to go back to Beijing."

"What about your report?" Although the whole thing started because of Dongfang Jin, Liu Jing still felt sorry for her.

Dongfang Jin sighed, saying sadly, "I chose this report topic myself. I still have enough time; I can always change the subject."

"Oh," Liu Jing didn't say much, but he felt sorry for her.

Yang Luo, who hadn't spoken for a while, suddenly asked, "Jin'er, what kind of report are you writing?"

Dongfang Jin looked at everyone, moved her lips but didn't speak. Liu Jing hesitated for a moment, then explained, "Jin'er wants to write a survey report on contemporary social emotions. It's supposedly a project for the Press and Publication Bureau. She wants to write about polygamy, that's how we met."

"Polygamy?" Everyone looked at each other, surprised by Dongfang Jin's bold idea.

Yang Luo rolled his eyes and said to Dongfang Jin, "Jin'er, this angle is so good, why change it? Let me tell you, our two families are planning to go to America together. Why don't you come with us? Once you get to know each other better, you'll definitely be able to write this report well?"

"Is...is that convenient?" Two large families with polygamous relationships traveling together was indeed a rare opportunity. Dongfang Jin was tempted, glancing weakly at everyone, especially Chang Mei.

"What's wrong with that? We're all friends, right?" Yang Luo was overjoyed, pulling Dongfang Jin's hand and looking back at everyone.

Fang Yuruo's expression remained unchanged, neither speaking nor uttering a sound. The little woman was unhappy, wanting to say something but holding back. Ling Yueru understood Yang Luo's intentions, sighed inwardly but didn't express her opinion.

Yang Luo's invitation to Dongfang Jin to accompany him was partly out of gratitude, but also for another purpose. Of the four women in the family, Ling Yueru and Chang Mei were on one side, while Fang Yuruo remained completely neutral. She was fighting two against one, only managing a draw thanks to her husband's doting affection. Dongfang Jin had feelings for Xiao Shi, and

Yang Luo wanted to use this opportunity to bring Dongfang Jin closer, both to repay a past favor and to gain another ally. Ling Yueru and Xiao Fang remained noncommittal, and Yang Luo then turned his gaze to Yu Xia.

Yu Xia glanced at Liu Jing, her eyes flashing, and said, "Yes, since everyone is so familiar with each other, let Jin'er go along." Yu Xia also saw through Yang Luo's intentions, but felt even more sorry for her husband. Public opinion had already been created, and Dongfang Jin might actually join her family. Rather than that, it was better to let her join Xiao Shi's family, so she decided to help Yang Luo at the last minute.

Chang Mei's eyes widened immediately at Yu Xia's help to Yang Luo, looking at her with a mixture of confusion and dissatisfaction.

Yu Xia, sweating slightly, said, "Changmei, don't misunderstand. I think we should help Jin'er write this report. Think about it, there are plenty of men who keep mistresses these days. Our two families live together, which is much better than those men, yet we're seen as monsters. Take this exposure, for example; it's caused us so much trouble. If Jin'er's report is well-written, maybe it will make the whole society take our situation seriously, and we won't be afraid if anyone causes trouble again!"

"Yes, yes, yes!" Before Changmei could reply, Yang Luo said excitedly, "That's what I think too. Husband, Sister Ling, Xiao Ruo, what do you think?"

Yang Luo asked Xiao Shi, Ling Yueru, and Xiao Fang, but his eyes kept glancing at Changmei. Dongfang Jin also looked excited, with a pleading yet expectant expression.

Ling Yueru, feeling helpless, could only ask the young woman, "Changmei, what do you think?"

Changmei stared at Dongfang Jin and reluctantly said, "Whatever, I don't care anyway."

The young woman agreed. Ling Yueru glanced at Yang Luo, then said to Xiao Shi, "And you? Speak up, don't act like nothing's wrong!"

"Oh, I... I have no objection either, but..." Xiao Shi trailed off, glancing at the young woman, then pleadingly looking at Liu Jing. Ling Yueru and Qin Yuxia could see Yang Luo's intentions, so how could he not? He just didn't want to, and it was inconvenient for him to say it.

Therefore, everyone's attention was focused on Liu Jing, with Dongfang Jin's eyes filled with even more eagerness. Liu Jing scratched his head and stammered, "Everyone has no objection, and I have no objection either, it's just right..." Liu Jing shifted his gaze to Yuxia's face, "What I mean is, Jin'er and Dong Le are quite familiar. If Tian Yu can persuade Dong Le, they can have company..."

Having been asked for a favor, Liu Jing reluctantly accepted Xiao Shi's heavy burden. Yuxia was furious, glaring at him resentfully before falling silent.

Liu Jing's final decision allowed Dongfang Jin to travel, and the Xiao family was also at peace.

"Hehe, thank you all then. I'll go get my visa right away. Don't worry, I won't interfere with your families' normal lives." Dongfang Jin was overjoyed.

Dongfang Jin traveled with the team, while Tian Yu successfully persuaded Dong Le.

A week later, the three groups met at the airport. Except for Guo Guo's young son, who was left in the care of his mother-in-law Ding Hua, the sixteen adults and children boarded the plane to the other side of the ocean in a lively and grand manner.

Chapter Ten: Reunion of Wives and Concubines

Ten days before the Liu and Xiao families flew to Los Angeles, in Babbitt, the capital of Tahiti, a French overseas department of Polynesia.

It was nearing evening, and a gentle sea breeze was blowing. A flock of seabirds played in the shallow waves by the water. In the distance, the setting sun cast thousands of rays of light, and the shimmering blue of the sea and sky reflected the sun, dazzling and captivating. The tropical charm of the South Pacific was enchanting and alluring.

Under the coconut trees by the sea, a five-year-old girl was leading her three younger siblings to build a sandcastle. Two little ones, a boy and a girl, were diligently building their sand bridge, while a slightly older boy was extremely mischievous, sometimes throwing sand at the sun, sometimes flying stones at birds.

The younger boy had barely dug a hole when he eagerly piled on pebbles, causing the sand tunnel to collapse. The little boy looked up pitifully at his older sister, almost crying. The older girl quickly came over: "Little Yu, don't cry. You dug too shallow. You need to dig deeper. Come, let me teach you."

Comforted, the little boy nodded earnestly and clumsily began to learn, hand in hand.

On the other side, the younger girl knelt on the beach, ignoring the sea breeze ruffling her short hair, and finally built a clumsy sand bridge, excitedly shouting, "Sister, I'm done... Oops!" Before the little girl could even rejoice, the sand bridge was accidentally trampled down by the older boy who was running around. The little girl's lips trembled, and tears immediately welled up in her eyes—a cute, wronged look.

The older girl stood up and said, "Xiao Dong, you're bullying Xiao Ying again!" The slightly older boy was clearly afraid of his sister. He rubbed his sand-covered hands on his bottom and backed down, saying, "I didn't mean to!"

Tears streamed down the little girl's face as she tried to wipe them with the back of her hand. The older girl jumped over and

stopped her, saying, "Xiao Ying, don't wipe! Sand in your eyes will hurt!" The little girl looked at her sister, but couldn't stop the tears from welling up. The older girl grabbed her clothes and carefully wiped her sister's face, saying, "Xiao Ying, don't cry. Let Xiao Dong help you make a bigger one, okay?"

"Okay," the little girl nodded. She then turned to look at the slightly older boy. The older girl said again, "Xiao Dong, you ruined Xiao Ying's face, you have to make her a better one!"

The slightly older boy was reluctant, but still walked over hesitantly. The little girl stopped crying and started making the beanbag with her older brother. The older girl looked very pleased, smiling sweetly, and then turned back to help the slightly older boy.

The older girl was pleased, and a couple not far away were even more pleased. The couple, reclining in their chairs, watched their children and smiled happily. The woman tilted her head, resting it on the man's shoulder, and he embraced her with a triumphant air. The setting sun illuminated their embracing figures.

This couple was Cheng Dong and Wang Yao, with four children. The eldest was Qian Hui's daughter, Cheng Shuang, and the slightly older boy was Wang Yao's son, Cheng Xiaodong. The two youngest, just a year and a half old, were twins born to Li Xiaoru. Because Qin Yu and Xie Zhuying decided not to have more children, Cheng Dong named the boy Cheng Yu and the girl Cheng Ying, as a way of giving them a place in their hearts. Like Xiaodong, Cheng Yu and Cheng Ying were easily confused when called. And that wasn't all. None of the four children were Chinese citizens. Cheng Shuang was born in Paris and lived with Qian Hui in Quebec for several years, holding dual French and Canadian citizenship; Cheng Xiaodong, Cheng Yu, and Cheng Ying were born in Tahiti and were citizens of a French overseas department, requiring them to register regularly at the police station every time they returned home. However, compared to the family's happy life, these were clearly insignificant.

"What are you thinking about? Thinking about where to travel again?" Wang Yao asked with interest. Over the years, Cheng Dong had traveled extensively, exploring much of the world. He had even self-published two books of travel essays, which Xie Zhuying translated into English and French and published overseas. He was already a well-known traveler.

"You want to go too?" Cheng Dong asked, pleasantly surprised. He doted on his wife and had always wanted to take her, but Wang Yao, focused on managing the company, had always refused.

"No," Wang Yao shook her head, "I just find it strange that you've been here for over half a year now, why haven't you left yet?"

Cheng Dong was puzzled, looking her over and asking, "What do you mean? It seems like you're looking forward to my leaving?"

Wang Yao laughed, leaning on his shoulder and saying, "It's not that I'm looking forward to it, it's that I'm not used to it. You used to stay for a maximum of four months, but this time you've stayed for so long, we're not used to it."

Cheng Dong smiled wryly, helping her up and saying, "Yao Yao, to be honest, don't always stay in the company. Take advantage of your youth and go out and travel more, otherwise when you get older, you won't be able to travel as easily."

"How can I do that?" Wang Yao pushed him away, saying, "The child is young, and there are so many things to do at the company, how can I leave?"

Cheng Dong frowned and said, "There are so many people in the company, and the child is in kindergarten. Traveling is a good way to balance work and rest. What can't you do?"

Wang Yao hesitated and said, "Okay then, seeing how much you care about me, I'll go with you, but not for too long, Xiao Dong will miss me!"

"Don't worry, after traveling to so many places, I'm increasingly reluctant to leave home." Cheng Dong smiled and leaned in to give her a little kiss.

"You have the nerve to say that!" Wang Yao scolded playfully, her forehead lightly bumping against his chest, the wind ruffling her pretty face.

They stayed together for a while. Wang Yao took the child to bathe, while Cheng Dong pondered where to go.

The sea breeze was gentle, like warm fingers playing music. A pair of soft arms wrapped around her from behind, heavy, full breasts piled on her shoulders. "Xiao Ru, come here." Cheng Dong smiled and turned back, pulling Li Xiao Ru's plump buttocks

towards him. "How did you know it was me?" Li Xiao Ru's bright eyes sparkled as she sat in his lap, her arms wrapped around his neck.

"Is that even a question?" Cheng Dong laughed. "Besides you, who else has such heavy breasts?"

Li Xiao Ru smiled shyly, leaning against his shoulder and saying, "If you like, come to my room tonight, I'll give you a milk spray." This was Li Xiao Ru's specialty; Qin Yu could barely do it, but it felt far inferior.

"Okay." Cheng Dong smiled and nodded, turning to pull Li Xiao Ru beside him, lowering his head to kiss her magnificent breasts.

Li Xiaoru was barefoot, wearing a long gauze skirt around her waist and only a bra on her upper body. Cheng Dong pushed her away and hugged her two large breasts, kissing and nibbling them. Li Xiaoru chuckled softly and said reproachfully, "What are you doing? What if the child sees?"

"No, Yaoyao took her to bathe," Cheng Dong replied, continuing to enjoy the woman's ample breasts.

Li Xiaoru felt a tingling sensation, giggled, and turned slightly, her slender hand slipping into the man's shorts, grasping his already erect and hard member.

Li Xiaoru had a classic youthful face; in her late thirties, her figure was increasingly mature and full, but her face remained as beautiful and charming as ever, especially her large, watery eyes, which always seemed to ripple with affection.

The sun set. The sea gently lapped against the shore, and the coconut trees swayed overhead. The two caressed each other under the trees, their feelings flowing from the scenery to their desire, gradually reaching a climax. Cheng Dong's right hand slid down, across the woman's flat stomach, and slipped inside the slit of her long skirt, caressing her wet crotch.

Li Xiaoru trembled, her gaze glazed over, soft moans escaping her cherry-red lips. Finally, she couldn't resist whispering in his ear, "Husband, do I want it now?"

"Okay. Come on up." Cheng Dong looked around, then gently kissed her forehead.

Li Xiaoru's face was captivating. Her skin, red and white, contrasted beautifully as she gracefully lifted her long skirt. Cheng Dong smiled, his heart filled with delight. Li Xiaoru wore a thong made of three thin strings, tied in bows on both sides. Only a strip of fabric less than ten centimeters long covered her crotch, the back completely squeezed between her snow-white buttocks. Her hips and thighs were full, firm, and incredibly elastic, perfectly complementing her charming face, the thin gauze skirt fluttering in the wind. This mature beauty was both alluring and approachable.

Li Xiaoru's cheeks flushed. With trembling hands, she untied her thong. Then, shyly, she pulled down Cheng Dong's shorts, her plump buttocks dangling in the air. She aimed his hot penis at her lower body.

"Ah!" Li Xiaoru closed her eyes lightly, letting out a joyful moan. The hot, slippery thing beneath her swallowed her whole. Li Xiaoru's full, round buttocks sank down, her gauze skirt suddenly flipping down, covering the point where the two were deeply joined. This was their usual way of enjoying themselves, beautiful but not lewd, sex without being lacking in affection, allowing them to become one with nature without worrying about being exposed.

Cheng Dong felt a surge of heat in his lower body, once again feeling that tight, warm, and juicy flesh. He gently embraced her, caressing her snow-white back with tenderness. Li Xiaoru raised her beautiful, flower-like face in infinite bliss, and lightly kissed his lips, saying, "Cheng Dong, I love you so much."

"I love you too," Cheng Dong returned the kiss, "Hurry up, they'll be here soon."

Li Xiaoru shyly nodded, cupped his cheeks, and gently kissed his lips. Cheng Dong took hers, his hands sliding down to caress the woman's buttocks. Their tongues entwined in a tender kiss, and with her lover's encouragement, Li Xiaoru began to wiggle her hips and sway her buttocks.

The waves gently lapped at her, and the two made love softly on the shore. The sea breeze ruffled her skirt, and Li Xiaoru's round buttocks swayed with the wind; the sunset cast its glow over the sea and sky, and Li Xiaoru's beautiful legs swayed seductively; the coconut trees swayed gently, and Li Xiaoru's ample breasts rippled with waves; seabirds chirped softly,

and Li Xiaoru's cherry lips uttered alluring moans. After their lovemaking, Li Xiaoru regained some strength, shared a beautiful kiss with her lover, considerately straightened his clothes, playfully covered her bra, and then twirled her legs together and walked into the sea. Cheng Dong watched her retreating figure, his eyes and heart filled with indescribable satisfaction and joy. Of his five wives, Li Xiaoru was the most innocent and charming, while he was the most carefree and comfortable, just like the scenery of Tahiti.

Li Xiaoru stepped into the shallow waves, smiling faintly as she looked back. The wind tousled her long, disheveled hair. She winked, pulled her long skirt up to her waist, and suddenly squatted down, her snow-white buttocks flashing into the seawater, letting the waves naturally wash over her genitals after their intercourse.

Washing her buttocks with the seawater under the setting sun was a creative and incredibly beautiful sight. Cheng Dong's tenderness and pleasure surged. He kicked off his shoes and ran over.

"Why are you here?" Li Xiaoru, holding her long skirt, faced the sea with her bare buttocks. Hearing footsteps, she turned around shyly and reproachfully.

"I'll help you wash." Li Xiaoru squatted down, naked from the waist down, her posture suggestive, her powerful, beautiful buttocks incredibly cute and alluring in the seawater. Cheng Dong bent down, his right hand reaching in, caressing his first love's soft, warm lips in the water.

"Ah!" Li Xiaoru frowned, letting out a soft cry as her large buttocks trembled, splashing a spray of water. "Honey, stop! You'll feel it again soon!"

Cheng Dong chuckled, reluctantly lingering for a while before stopping his teasing and solemnly washing the woman's bottom. "Xiaoru, Yaoyao is going on a trip with us next time. Do you want to go out and travel?" Cheng Dong asked as he washed her.

"Of course I do! I'm so bored at home all the time."

"Really?" Cheng Dong paused, then chuckled. "Why didn't you say so earlier? We're husband and wife, you can just tell me what you want!"

Li Xiaoru didn't speak, pouting at him with a hint of grievance and resentment. Cheng Dong, feeling apologetic, gently washed her body and sincerely said, "Xiao Ru, you've had a tough few years. I also blame myself for not caring enough for you. From now on, if you have any thoughts, just say them. We're husband and wife, and we have two children. Don't keep them bottled up inside."

Li Xiaoru wasn't really upset, so she asked, "Where are you planning to go this time?"

Cheng Dong pondered for a moment and said, "To Northern Europe, how about Narvik to see the snow?"

"What's Narvik?"

Cheng Dong said, "Narvik is a port in Norway, near the Arctic Circle. The glaciers and snow scenery are quite nice."

Li Xiaoru pouted, glanced at him, and said, "It's so cold, I don't want to go."

"Then where do you want to go?"

Li Xiaoru said eagerly, "Shall we go to Hollywood to see the big stars?"

Cheng Dong almost fell headfirst into the sea. He laughed and cried at the same time, "You watch blockbusters every day, haven't you had enough?" Li Xiaoru stayed at home and developed a habit of watching Hollywood blockbusters in her spare time. She would watch them all day long, and the worst part was that she could watch them repeatedly.

"I want to go!" Li Xiaoru pouted, her big butt swaying in the water.

"Okay, let's go then." Cheng Dong generously slapped the woman's butt.

Li Xiaoru was overjoyed. Ignoring her bare bottom and skirt, she jumped up and hugged his neck. The two kissed happily in the shallows. The tide washed over their legs.

They went home. Qin Yu and Xie Xiuying, wearing sunglasses, basked in the evening breeze and sunset on lounge chairs in front of the villa. Li Xiaoru nodded and went inside to prepare dinner; Cheng Dong groped the two women's breasts and went to find Qian Hui. Better to leave the whole family behind than leave one out. Wang Yao and Li Xiaoru were traveling together, how could he abandon Qian Hui? He decided to take a family trip.

"Shameless!" Xie Zhuying adjusted her bra, took off her sunglasses, and turned around to snort heavily.

Qin Yu didn't even open her eyes, casually tugged at her bra, and said lightly, "Zhuying. Xiaoru has had a hard time too. She's so old. Why are you arguing with her?" They had seen Cheng Dong and Li Xiaoru being intimate.

"I wasn't talking about her. I was talking about that shameless bastard Cheng Dong!" Xie Zhuying gritted her teeth, indignant. She'd been promised two women, but four had returned. Years had passed, and she still wasn't at peace.

Qin Yu smiled beautifully, said nothing more, and elegantly picked up a small mirror beside her, carefully examining her reflection. The passage of time hadn't diminished her beauty; instead, it had added to her maturity and stunning beauty. She was very satisfied. As for the messy affairs at home, she didn't care at all; it was irrelevant whether she cared or not.

Qian Hui was managing the Dongyu organization at her computer. Upon seeing Cheng Dong, she immediately said, "Cheng Dong, you've come at the right time. I have something to ask you."

"What is it?" Cheng Dong secretly shook his head and sat down.

Qian Hui turned around and said, "That batch of machines from Algiers is twenty days late again. This is the third time this year. We've lost over six million, without even an explanation. Even relatives shouldn't act like this. Have Qin Yu ask her brother what happened."

Cheng Dong said, "The ship didn't go to Suez, it went to the Cape of Good Hope, and it did some other business on the side."

"Other business? I'm the chairman of the company, how come I didn't know?" Qian Hui stared at him and asked. Dongyu Group is currently co-chaired by Yang Qianhui and Wang Yao. Cheng Dong and Qin Yu have no shares and no official status.

Cheng Dong explained, "It's just a temporary business deal; I shipped a batch of goods to Southwest Africa."

"What goods?" Qianhui persisted.

"A few Scud missiles," Cheng Dong told the truth helplessly. He had no choice; Qin Feng had tasted the benefits and, to support Dongyu Group, always asked him to handle things. Of course, the two of them always split the bill, and Cheng Dong's personal pockets swelled as a result.

"It's state smuggling again," Qianhui said, turning her gaze away and sighing. "Cheng Dong, I don't advocate this kind of business, but I don't oppose it either. Besides, you're the head of the family, but you should at least tell me first. The company's business departments work so hard, only to lose money because of shipping delays. How am I supposed to explain this to the employees? How am I supposed to account for the deficit? How am I supposed to manage effectively?"

State smuggling is considered normal business, but it's not allowed in China in principle, and it would also provoke resentment from the United States. Cheng Dong understood her predicament and quickly said, "Okay, okay, don't worry, I'll definitely tell you next time this happens."

"Don't agree so readily!" Qianhui glared at him and said with a dark face, "You definitely won't do these businesses for nothing. I don't care how much you make privately, but you must make up for the company's deficit. Don't try to get away with it!"

Cheng Dong was stunned for a moment, then said with dissatisfaction, "Qianhui, do you even have any sense of reason? In all these years, have I ever asked you for a single penny? And you're still squeezing money out of my pocket? That's too much!"

"Ha, you think you're right!" Qianhui retorted without backing down. "I'm the company's chairman and one of the two major shareholders. Besides being Shuangshuang's father, what other identity do you have? You've damaged my company's interests and used it to line your own pockets. Isn't it right for you to compensate me?"

Qianhui kept mentioning "identity" and "my company," subtly bringing up old grievances. Cheng Dong was both amused and exasperated, and could only say, "Alright, alright, it's just six million? I'll pay it. Why keep bringing up the past? Come on, I have something to tell you." He then carried his wife to the sofa.

"Oh, has the sun risen in the west?" Qianhui feigned surprise. "It's been over ten years, and this is the first time you've ever hugged my lap," he said playfully. "Don't be so eager to please. You're up to no good!"

"Don't talk nonsense! It's serious business." Qianhui's words were still as infuriating as ever. Cheng Dong couldn't help but roll his eyes. "Qianhui, Yaoyao and Xiaoru have agreed to go on a trip to Hollywood with me. Don't just keep focusing on the company. Let's take the kids and go on a family trip!"

Qianhui was genuinely surprised, and said with a half-smile, "It's not easy. Your conscience has finally awakened."

"You..." Cheng Dong stammered, "Are you sure you can handle this? You're never going to stop!"

Qianhui chuckled. She pouted and touched his temple, resuming her usual gentle expression.

Cheng Dong's heart fluttered. He grabbed her hand and gazed at her, saying, "Qianhui, to be honest, it's been over ten years, and you haven't changed at all. You're still as beautiful as when I first met you."

"Ugh!" Upon hearing this, Qianhui suddenly gagged, covered her mouth, and turned away, as if she was about to vomit.

"Qianhui, what's wrong?" Cheng Dong asked anxiously.

Yang Qianhui smiled. Shrinking her head, she said, "Honey, please don't say that again. I used to be touched by it, but now it disgusts me!"

"You..." Cheng Dong was furious. "Fine, I won't say it then. I'll get straight to the point!" With that, he twisted his body and kissed her, his right hand simultaneously slipping into her waistband.

"Mmm!" Qian Hui's body went limp, her arms arching upwards as she offered her tongue in a passionate response.

Outside the window, Xie Zhuying had turned around at some point and was lying on the recliner watching the two passionately kissing. Her eyes wide, she exclaimed, "Shameless!"

Qin Yu, who was fixing her long hair in front of the mirror, glanced at her and said, "Zhuying, I'm not trying to be mean, but she's an old woman, how old is she? Why are you always arguing with her?"

"I'm not talking about her, I'm talking about that useless bastard Cheng Dong," Xie Zhuying resentfully said, her puffs of anger rising. "He always acts like a decent person when he's with us, but he's a completely different person when he gets home! Humph! One face to your face, another behind your back!"

"Sigh, Cheng Dong has it tough too. She's an old woman, you know, we have to take care of her!" Qin Yu stood up gracefully, tossing her long hair as she sat down beside her. "Come on, calm down, let me rub some sunscreen on you." She then reached out and touched Xie Zhuying's breast.

"It's already dark and you're still wiping... Hey! What are you doing?" Xie Zhuying felt a tingling in her breasts and slapped Qin Yufeng's buttocks. "You little slut! Is that a place for you to touch?" "

Don't pretend! We've done this so many times, and every time you've been the one screaming the loudest!" Qin Yu chuckled, straddling her buttocks and squeezing both of her breasts.

"Ah!... You, you're turning things upside down! Let go!"

Qin Yu ignored her, his perfect body looming over her, his sexy lips kissing Xie Zhuying's cheek.

"You!... You little slut, you're disgusting me again!" Xie Zhuying twisted her body and sat up, pinning Qin Yu down.

Under the setting sun, in the evening breeze, the waves crashed, and Ehuang and Nüying, dressed in sexy bikinis, laughed and joked on the deck chairs. God

's gift, the most beautiful place in the world, has added another beautiful line. Heaven is not beautiful, but earthly paradise is the most lovely.

A few days later, Cheng Dong's entire family of ten boarded a plane in Babbitt, flying via Hawaii to Los Angeles, a day earlier than Shen Meng's flight from S City to the United States. Would they encounter the Liu and Xiao families in the dreamlike city of Hollywood? What would happen?

...

A dozen hours later, the Liu and Xiao families arrived in Los Angeles. The Fang Sicheng couple, the Fang Yuyuan couple, Chen Lin and Zheng Song, along with Gong Xiaoyan and the incredibly brave Sheriff Stanley, were all at the airport to greet them. Compared to the large group of sixteen people from the Liu and Xiao families, there were eight people there to pick them up. (Hint: Fang Yuyuan, Fang Yuruo's older brother, many readers may not remember him.)

Both sides rushed towards their respective relatives. The Liu family went to Chen Lin and Zheng Song, while the Xiao family was received by the entire Fang family. Adults and children alike embraced and chatted, exchanging greetings.

Gong Xiaoyan and Stanley, Dongfang Jin and Dong Le remained still, smiling and quietly watching their families reunite.

"Dad, Mom!" Little Tiger jumped over and hugged his mother's arm. Liu Jing awkwardly led his wives to follow, shamelessly calling out "Dad, Mom!" and standing respectfully to the side.

Yu Xia, Xu Yan, and Guo, the elderly couple already knew, and Shen Meng had also explained Tian Yu's situation, so they weren't surprised. Professor Zheng, worried about his beloved daughter, looked somewhat haggard, but was still excited and forgiving. Chen Lin's expression wasn't so good; she stared at Liu Jing with a cold gaze, full of complaints and dissatisfaction. Liu Jing was apprehensive, and the women exchanged glances. The airport hall was noisy and bustling, but this side of the scene was quiet.

Little Tiger felt sorry for his lover, tugged at his mother's sleeve, and said with a forced smile, "Mom, Dad, let me introduce you. This is Sister Qin and Duo Duo, you all know them; this is Guo Yang, the daughter of Secretary Guo of the Provincial Party Committee. If it weren't for her, I would have been in jail last time; this is Xu Yan, she's been through thick and thin with Liu Jing several times; and Tian Yu, Sister Meng should have told you about her too."

Fang Xi blushed, speaking well of her lover. The four women, all smiling, stepped forward to greet her.

Chen Lin looked around, then finally sighed deeply and said to the women, "Xiao Jing is shameless, so I won't say anything; Xiao Fang is silly, but she's happy with her choice, so I won't say anything either. But you are all so beautiful, and your conditions are not bad either. Each of you is better than Xiao Fang, so why do you insist on following him? What's good about him besides being a scoundrel?" She pointed at Liu Jing, whose face was contorted with embarrassment.

Liu Jing's heart settled, and he shamelessly pulled out his trump card again: "Mom, they weren't doing it for me, they're just destined to be with Fang Xi. I'm just lucky to have married such a wonderful wife as Fang Xi, and to have such a wonderful mother-in-law like you!"

Chen Lin was amused and annoyed: "You little rascal, we just gave you a little kindness, and you're already taking advantage of it!"

Everyone laughed, and Yu Xia stepped forward and said, "Mom, you're wrong. Fang Xi isn't stupid, it's us who are. Fang Xi is holding onto the marriage certificate tightly. We've been trying to negotiate with her every day, even if it's just to change it once a year, but she absolutely refuses!"

"Yes, yes!" Guo pushed up his glasses and said, "Mom, actually, Liu Jing was the first to like me, the first to marry me, and I was the first to have a son, but she..."

"First time, first time! You're never going to stop!" Little Tiger, both embarrassed and ashamed, finally couldn't help but interrupt, "You keep talking about this trivial matter all day long, my ears are calloused from hearing it! It's not like I made you get a divorce, I made you leave, you deserve it!"

Everyone laughed, and Dongfang Jin and Dong Le smiled, deeply feeling the harmonious and delightful atmosphere of this family. Chen Lin looked at the two of them and asked Liu Jing, "Xiao Jing, who are these two ladies? Don't tell me they're yours too..."

"No, no!" Liu Jing broke out in a cold sweat and hurriedly introduced, "This is Reporter Dongfang and Officer Dong, they came with us to relax." Chen Lin didn't believe him, glanced at him sideways without saying a word. Dongfang Jin and Xun Le stepped forward to greet him, bowing in unison and saying, "Hello, Auntie."

Chen Lin nodded, looking them over and asking, "Ladies, why did you come with him to relax?"

"We..." The two women, their pretty faces slightly flushed, didn't know what to say for a moment. Chen Lin added, "Let me remind you, Xiao Jing already has five wives. If you still join in, you won't even get a share of the soup!"

"No, no, we...we definitely won't be his wives," the two said, waving their hands in embarrassment. Xu Yan and Tian Yu, standing nearby, stuck out their tongues and unconsciously touched their bellies. They were both pregnant; it wasn't just a matter of sharing the soup anymore.

While Liu Jing's side was bustling, Old Fang's side was even noisier. Fang Sicheng had always treated Xiao Shi like his own son, and now not only did his beloved daughter have a place to stay, but he also brought back three daughters-in-law and two older children. He laughed heartily, cuddling Ling Xiao and Chang Xiao and kissing them incessantly.

Professor Zheng, worried about Shen Meng, remained mostly silent. Liu Jing ushered Xiao Shi, who was exchanging pleasantries with Gong Xiaoyan, over and introduced him, saying, "Dad, this is Lawyer Xiao, the most famous lawyer in our S City. He used to be a brilliant detective in the criminal investigation team. No case could be solved without him. Don't worry, with him here, Sister Meng will be 100% safe."

Zheng Song grasped Xiao Shi's hand and said excitedly, "Lawyer Xiao, I've heard of you. Thank you for coming all the way to America. Mengmeng's mother died early, and she and I have been living together since she was five. You must save her; we're all counting on you."

"Don't worry, Teacher Zheng. I can't promise anything else, but as long as Miss Shen is innocent, I guarantee I'll clear her name." Xiao Shi wasn't being hypocritically modest, knowing the old man needed comfort.

The two sides introduced themselves again. A dozen or so beautiful Eastern women, like beauties in bloom, attracted countless foreigners, and some even whistled. Officer Stanley, who had always been captivated by Gong Xiaoyan's mysterious beauty, was nearly speechless at the sudden appearance of a dozen or so women.

Afterward, everyone boarded the bus prepared by the Fang family and headed straight for Dean Fang's house. Fang Yuyuan was a moderately successful businessman in the United States, owning a small two-story apartment that was just enough for him to live in. At the strong invitation of Dean Fang and Xiao Shi, everyone agreed.

Dean Fang's home was in the suburbs of Los Angeles, not far from San Pedro Bay, a scenic spot with a refreshing sea breeze. Upon arrival, Dean Fang and his wife led the women to their rooms, while Fang Yuruo led the relevant people to the study to explain the case to Xiao Shi. Before going to the US, Xiao Shi had already seen the case details via fax, but he still wanted to hear them in person.

The study was quiet, but the atmosphere was somber.

Professor Zheng sighed and said, "That was the second day Mengmeng arrived in America. Chen Lin and I took her to Hollywood. On our way back, we passed that Chinese restaurant. Mengmeng said that Miss Gong was Xiao Liu's friend and she wanted to visit her, so she told us to go back first. Then the murder happened. But Mengmeng clearly entered the restaurant alone. The restaurant waiter and an old lady nearby insisted that she went in and out with the dead Japanese man and even had an argument. Mengmeng killed him with a knife from the restaurant, and someone even took pictures. How is that possible?"

Xiao Shi asked, "What time was it? I mean, when Miss Shen got off the bus?"

"7:30 pm," Chen Lin replied. "We finished dinner in Hollywood before heading back. I specifically checked the time and told her to go back to the hotel early."

Xiao Shi asked Gong Xiaoyan, "Xiaoyan, what happened at your restaurant? Why did only three people see her?"

Liu Jing seemed thoughtful upon hearing this. Gong Xiaoyan said, "The restaurant was chosen by General Manager Yang, and she also named it 'Passing By.' It mainly caters to passing tourists; very few people actually eat there, especially at night, so usually only one waiter is on duty. I ate at Stanley's house that day, and I wasn't at the restaurant. That old lady is a resident of the neighborhood; sometimes she sells small souvenirs on the roadside."

Xiao Shi asked again, "Besides that dead Japanese man, were there any other customers at the time?"

"The waiter said no," Gong Xiaoyan shook her head.

Officer Stanley knew the whole story, but Zheng Song spoke first, and since he didn't understand Chinese, he tried to speak several times but couldn't get a word in edgewise. Xiao Shi said to Fang Yuruo, "Please ask Officer Stanley to explain, and ask him to be concise." Westerners are verbose. Xiao Shi wasn't

used to it. Fang Yuruo relayed the information in English. (The following text will not be translated further; all statements will be direct.)

Officer Stanley, given the opportunity, first expressed his sympathy for Shen Meng before introducing the case. The situation was similar to the case report. However, he emphasized the evidence, especially repeatedly mentioning that a photography enthusiast nearby had taken photos of Shen Meng committing the murder.

Xiao Shi, impatient, frowned and asked, "How many photos are there in total?"

"One," Stanley said solemnly, holding up one finger. "But it's very clear; you can see Shen holding a knife and killing someone."

A hint of disdain flashed in Xiao Shi's eyes. He changed the subject, asking, "What's the situation with the deceased? Did he have a wife or girlfriend?"

Stanley replied, "The deceased's name is Shimazu Taro, thirty-two years old, a businessman. He did business in Los Angeles for a long time and had no criminal record. He was married. His wife's name is Kitahara Kiyoko, also in Los Angeles, but she just happened to be returning to Tokyo that day..."

"Just happened to be returning to Tokyo?" Xiao Shi exclaimed in surprise, interrupting. "When did she return? Did she have the opportunity to commit the crime?"

"This..." Officer Stanley spread his hands, grinning, "We can't rule out the possibility of timing, but all the evidence, and the witnesses, the three witnesses... they can't all..."

"Her husband is dead. Has she returned now?" Xiao Shi interrupted again.

Stanley tilted his head. He said seriously, “Shaw, I know you’re capable. You even served as a police officer in China. Yes, the Japanese woman is indeed suspicious, and she fell ill from excessive grief and didn’t return. She only sent someone from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department. But the evidence we have—I mean, enough evidence—is sufficient. We believe investigating the Japanese woman is pointless.”

Xiao Shi didn’t speak, his brow furrowing again. Stanley quickly added, “Dear Shaw, I understand your feelings, but you should calm down. I swear on my family’s name that all LAPD officers are honest and courageous men. They work as diligently as bees. But there’s too much evidence, all laid bare before us. We must respect the facts.”

Xiao Shi composed himself, saying each word clearly, “Officer Stanley, I believe in the LAPD, but don’t forget, the ultimate duty of the police is to protect the innocent, and superficial evidence often obscures the true facts.”

Stanley shrugged, remaining silent. He sympathized with Shen Meng and understood Xiao Shi, but like all Western police officers, he trusted evidence more than his brain and eyes. In other words, he at most believed Shen Meng had her reasons, but he was absolutely certain she had committed murder.

Everyone was dissatisfied, and Gong Xiaoyan was even angry, but the Westerners were rigid and there was nothing they could do.

Xiao Shi asked Gong Xiaoyan, "Xiaoyan, what's the situation with that waiter? Is what he said credible?"

Gong Xiaoyan felt bad, but still answered truthfully, "He's from South Africa, he's always behaved well, and he's usually very helpful. He shouldn't have any reason to lie."

"South African?" A thought flashed through Xiao Shi's mind. He pondered for a while before turning to the Jewish police officer and saying, "Officer Stanley, if I can prove that the testimonies of two of the witnesses are invalid, could you release Miss Shen first?"

Xiao Shi's words were met with delight. Stanley was incredulous, sincere and excited: "Xiao, are you telling the truth?"

Xiao Shi nodded slowly, very confidently. Stanley's eyes were filled with admiration as he said proudly, "If that's the case, dear Shaw, I believe both the judge and the jury would be more than happy to see the beautiful Miss Shen regain her freedom."

"No, no! I mean now," Shaw quickly explained. "There's still some time before the court hearing. I don't want the innocent Miss Shen to be imprisoned for so long. If I can prove her testimony invalid, could you release her immediately?"

"Oh, that won't do," Stanley shook his head. "The case has been transferred to the district attorney. Unless you find new evidence or witnesses, the attorney won't agree. In fact, the judge is already selecting a jury. You can completely secure Miss Shen's freedom in court. Besides, if you win, you'll become famous throughout America."

The room erupted in commotion. The little tiger shouted, "The original evidence was unreliable, why can't we release her? That's outrageous!"

Gong Xiaoyan gave him a cold look and said angrily, "Stanley, you can't even fulfill such a reasonable request? You've disappointed me greatly!"

Stanley was terrified and hurriedly confessed, "My dear Gong, I'm very, very willing to help you. In fact, I've been trying to do so, but I really..." Gong Xiaoyan's gaze grew colder, and the poor Jewish police officer could only say, "Alright then, I'll take you to see the district attorney, but... it really won't work. That's all I can do, Gong, don't blame me." Gong Xiaoyan

wanted to say something more, but Xiao Shi stood up and said, "Xiaoyan, forget it. Judicial procedures differ in different countries. Officer Stanley has done his best, don't pressure him." He turned around. Xiao Shi then said to Zheng Song, "Teacher Zheng, you can rest assured. I've handled the case.

I can't say who the real culprit is, but I guarantee I can prove Miss Shen's innocence. Miss Shen, then go with Officer Stanley to see the district attorney. If that doesn't work, Miss Shen will be released on trial day."

Release after trial meant that Shen Meng would still be detained for a while, but Xiao Shi had strong confidence. His confident tone greatly reassured everyone. Professor Zheng said gratefully, "Thank you, Attorney Xiao. As long as Mengmeng is alright, a few more days in jail won't matter. Perhaps this is her destined tribulation."

Xiao Shi nodded without speaking.

The crowd dispersed. Liu Jing stopped Xiao Shi and asked worriedly, "Brother Xiao, are you really confident you can convince the judge and the jury?"

Thinking aloud, Xiao Shi frankly said, "I've never experienced a jury trial before, so I'm a little worried. You know, the jury are all American citizens. Westerners sometimes have strange ideas, especially Americans. I will try my best to avoid going to court, but Stanley just said they need new evidence or witnesses. Do you have any ideas?"

Liu Jing said, "American nightlife is very vibrant. It was only 7:30 when the incident occurred. How could only three people have seen Shen Meng? Guo has worked as a columnist in the US, and he knows..." I have a friend who knows the media. I want her to write a revelation and find new witnesses, but I don’t know where to start. "

This is a way. Xiao Shi's eyes lit up and he pulled Liu Jing aside: "Brother Liu, your method is very good. Let me tell you, the murderer is the deceased's wife. Among the three witnesses, the old American lady said she saw Shen Meng coming in and out with the Japanese, but the person she actually saw was Kiyoko Kitahara. However, Westerners see us Easterners as alike, so she thought it was Shen Meng; the southern waiter was lying, but it’s hard to say why; as for the murder photos, they are not worth mentioning at all. "

I understand. As long as it can be proven that another woman was present at the scene, the case will be retried, right?" "Why are the murder photos regarded as treasures by the American police not worth mentioning? Liu Jing didn't understand, but he believed Xiao Shi and was even more excited.

"Yes, that's right. "Liu Jing immediately grasped the key point, and Xiao Shi was surprised.

"Okay, I'll ask Guo to write the pen right away, and add a photo of Shen Meng! "After Liu Jing finished speaking, he rushed away happily.

After everyone left, Xiao Shi quietly stood at the window and looked at San Pedro Bay in the distance.

Having worked as a policeman and lawyer for over a decade, this was his first encounter with the American legal system, and he was quite frustrated. He was scheduled to meet with the district attorney the next day, but without new evidence, he had already given up hope. Chinese law might be imperfect, but at least it had humanity; the rigidity of the American legal system bordered on harshness. Perhaps upholding the law required this, but he found it difficult to adapt to such impartiality.

The following day, accompanied by Liu Jing and Fang Yuruo, Xiao Shi went to the Los Angeles Police Department to review witness testimonies, and then went to see Shen Meng. Shen Meng was in good spirits and could even joke with Liu Jing, but thankfully she didn't inquire about his sex life anymore. Finally, Stanley led the three to the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office.

The United States has a dual prosecutorial system: federal prosecutors and district attorneys. Federal prosecutors are appointed by the central government and have offices at the state, city, and county levels; district attorneys are appointed by local councils. The two systems exercise their respective powers and do not interfere with each other, but local cases are mostly handled by district attorneys, while federal prosecutors are responsible for supervision and coordination, generally not interfering except in special circumstances.

Sitting in the prosecutor's office, Liu Jing suddenly felt a strong urge to know what this district attorney was like. His only impression of American prosecutors came from two Tom Lee Jones movies. In both films, Tom Lee Jones played federal prosecutors who, knowing the criminals were innocent, still relentlessly pursued them. He didn't believe it then, but now he did, because he saw that spirit truly exist in Stanley.

"Gentlemen, I apologize for keeping you waiting. Oh, and there's a lady too." Liu Jing was lost in thought when a man in a black suit walked in. He was in his thirties, tall and spirited, with a slightly plump face that looked friendly. He was gentle and refined, far superior to Tom Lee Jones.

Sheriff Stanley stood up and said, "Xiao, Liu, and Fang, let me introduce you. This is the District Attorney for the Los Angeles District, the most outstanding prosecutor in the entire Los Angeles area, the highly respected Mr. Sheng."

The three nodded, but didn't show much enthusiasm, because they didn't find anything particularly respectable about Mr. Sheng, let alone highly respected.

"Welcome, friends from China." Prosecutor Sheng was very warm, shaking hands with each of the three, and politely asking, "What would you like to drink? Tea, coffee, or something else?"

The three politely declined, and Prosecutor Sheng didn't insist. Make a gesture to invite someone to sit down, and take your seat.

Everyone was seated. Prosecutor Sheng, seated behind his large desk, elbows propped on the surface, spoke first: “Gentlemen, the courageous Sergeant Stanley has conveyed your request. I would be willing to help you, but it's impossible. American law is inviolable and will not be changed for you. You must respect this fact.”

As expected, Prosecutor Sheng refused without waiting for anyone to speak.

Liu Jing was anxious and wanted to say something, but Prosecutor Sheng waved his hand to stop him: “I sympathize with that beautiful Chinese lady. But the evidence is conclusive; she committed murder on American soil, that's undeniable. Perhaps you will question the evidence, but that's just wishful thinking on your part. I cannot negate the work of the entire Los Angeles Police Department because of one sentence from you.”

Everyone looked at each other, Stanley spreading his hands in a gesture of helplessness. Liu Jing sighed, stood up, and said, “In that case, let's just leave it at that.” Everyone followed suit, politely bidding farewell to Prosecutor Sheng.

Prosecutor Sheng felt a pang of reluctance. His tone softened, offering reassurance: “Gentlemen, please trust in the fairness of American law. Every juror is an upright American citizen, and there is also the benevolent Judge Hu. He possesses high moral character and will give your beautiful compatriots a just verdict.” (Judge Hu will appear later; thanks to my editor, Hu Shuo, for his cameo appearance at the end of this book.)

Xiao Shi had no interest in listening to this and instead asked, “Prosecutor, if we find new evidence or witnesses, would you agree to a retrial?”

“Of course, this is entirely in accordance with American law, as long as you can find them.” Prosecutor Sheng smiled and bowed politely.

The group bowed and took their leave. Prosecutor Sheng watched them leave, then rang the intercom on the table: “Miss Kate, please invite the Consul and the Inspector in, and please make us three cups of Chinese tea.”

As Xiao Shi and the others went out, they were greeted by two Asian men, one thin and one muscular. Xiao Shi and Liu Jing exchanged glances, then simultaneously looked at Stanley. The Japanese man's tense demeanor was unapproachable, and they both immediately sensed it.

Stanley whispered, "The skinny one is the Japanese consul, Kobayashi; the burly one is Inspector Sakumon from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department."

Sure enough, Xiao Shi nodded. The two men brushed past each other, both slowing their pace. The two Japanese men clearly recognized Stanley, bowing in unison without a word, glancing at the crowd before heading towards the prosecutor's office.

The Japanese officers' gazes were strange. Xiao Shi, struck by something, couldn't help but turn back. Sakumon was also looking back at him, their eyes meeting. Suddenly, Xiao Shi said, "Inspector, please wait."

The two Japanese men understood him and actually stopped. Sakumon glanced at Kobayashi, bowed, and said in Chinese, "May I ask what brings you here?"

Xiao Shi nodded slightly and asked, "I heard that Mrs. Shimazu is ill. How is she now?" Xiao Shi didn't call Kitahara Kiyoko by her name, but rather "Mrs. Shimazu."

“Thank you for your concern.” Inspector Sakumon, his eyes lowered and still bowing, said, “Miss Kaori is deeply grieving and quite ill.” Unlike Xiao Shi, Inspector Sakumon didn’t address Mrs. Shimazu as such, stubbornly calling her by her name.

Xiao Shi suddenly asked, “Inspector, is there any connection between Mr. Shimazu and the Shimazu family from the Sengoku period?”

Sakumon’s eyes glazed over for a moment, then he looked up at Xiao Shi. Xiao Shi smiled and said, “Inspector, please don’t be surprised. I’ve played your country’s games *Taiko Risshiden* and *Nobunaga* before, and the surname seemed familiar, so I just asked.”

Sakumon hesitated and didn’t speak. Consul Kobayashi interjected, “That’s right, Shimazu Taro is a descendant of the Shimazu family, one of the most prominent families in all of Japan.”

Sakumon frowned, seemingly displeased with the consul’s interruption.

Xiao Shi smiled and nodded, “Thank you, Consul. Farewell.” He then quickly left. Everyone was completely bewildered and hurriedly followed. Liu Jing asked impatiently, "Brother Xiao, why are you asking this? Is the Japanese Warring States period related to this case?"

"Hehe, maybe, who knows? I just thought of it, so I asked." Xiao Shi seemed much more relaxed, and added, "The key now is the witness. As long as we rescue her as soon as possible, who cares who the murderer is, it has nothing to do with us."

"Right." Liu Jing nodded. By this time, Guo should have already posted the notice. Could they find a new witness?

The next two days were spent waiting. Everyone was worried about Shen Meng and didn't go out, at most staying near Dean Fang's house. The children quickly became friends. Duo Duo spent all her time playing with Xiao Shi's two sons, indulging in her role as a big sister. The women formed several groups. Yu Xia, Yue Ru, and Chang Mei were close; Xiao Laohu, Xu Yan, Guo, and Fang Yu Ruo got together; Tian Yu, Yang Luo, Dongfang Jin, and Dong Le formed a group, the four girls whispering among themselves. Tian Yu and Yang Luo often argued, but it was unclear what they were arguing about.

On the third day, as everyone was chatting and drinking tea in the living room, the sound of a car stopping outside suddenly rang out. Immediately afterward

, Stanley shouted, "Xiao, come out quickly! We've found the witness!" Everyone was briefly startled, then overjoyed. Xiao Shi was the first to rush out, only to be stunned again. A large sedan (shaped like a sedan, but actually a minibus) was parked in front of the door, and Stanley was leading a man, five women, and four children inside.

"Isn't this…" Xiao Shi turned and shouted, "Chang Mei! Come out quickly, see who's here!"

The newcomers were, of course, Cheng Dong's family. The three families reunited. Cheng Dong paused, then asked his neighbor, "Zhu Ying, isn't this the policeman from back then?! I'm not mistaken, am I?"

"Yes, yes, it's him. Much more handsome than you." Xie Xiuying walked forward with a smile, "Hey, do you still recognize me? I helped you catch a bad guy!" "Yes,

yes, of course I recognize you." Xiao Shi said gratefully. At this moment, everyone went outside, and Xiao Shi pulled Chang Mei aside, saying, "Chang Mei, look! The witnesses are actually our two benefactors. What a coincidence!"

"Oh! Really!" The young woman stepped forward excitedly, glancing at Cheng Dong. "Sister, is that really you?" Xie Xiuying asked.

"Of course! We're really destined to meet." Zhu Ying replied absentmindedly, glancing up at the women behind her. Chang Mei grinned, then lowered her head in embarrassment.

Xiao Shi understood what was going on and pulled Liu Jing to Cheng Dong's side: "Brother, what's your name? I don't even know your name yet."

Cheng Dong also noticed the women and looked them over, saying, "Don't be so polite, my name is Cheng Dong." He then looked at his five wives: "These are my wives, that's Zhu Ying, and behind her are Qian Hui, Yao Yao, Xiao Yu, and Xiao Ru. And..." Oh, where are the children? Cheng Dong was about to introduce them when he noticed that the four children had already joined the three little ones from the Xiao and Liu families, even before the adults.

"So it's Brother Cheng." Xiao Shi glanced at Xie Zhuying and smiled, nodding in turn.

I wondered why he pulled me over here, turns out they're all in cahoots! Liu Jing looked at the five women of the Cheng family and also said, "Hello, Brother Cheng!"

Xiao Shi and Liu Jing introduced their respective women, making the Fang family courtyard incredibly noisy. Three polygamous families from S city, a dozen or so beautiful Chinese women, unexpectedly gathered together in a foreign land, much to everyone's astonishment.

Stanley, seeing that they were all acquaintances, and all polygamous, stared blankly, feeling increasingly annoyed. Isn't China a civilized country? How come a man here has so many wives? Are they deliberately trying to provoke America?

After exchanging pleasantries, the group entered, filling the first-floor living room with twenty or thirty people. Xie Zhuying kept staring, and Xiao Shi, afraid she would bring up the past, asked Cheng Dong before he had even settled in, "Brother Cheng, how did you end up in Los Angeles?"

Cheng Dong pointed to the ladies and said, "We're traveling around the Great Lakes and saw the ad in the newspaper. Not long ago, we went to Hollywood and visited that restaurant, probably before the incident, and we actually saw a woman there. We looked closely and were sure it wasn't the person in the newspaper, so we came here to testify."

Everyone was overjoyed. Xiao Shi said, "Brother Cheng, tell us in detail what happened."

Cheng Dong thought for a moment and said, "We just happened to be passing by, and since it was a Chinese restaurant, we went in. It's not easy to meet fellow countrymen overseas, so we wanted to chat for a bit. But the owner wasn't there, and the waiter was talking to that woman, so we bought a few drinks and left."

"Didn't see anyone else?"

"No, just two people."

"Did you hear what they were saying?"

"I heard them, but I couldn't understand them, though they were speaking Korean."

"Korean! I get it, I get it all!" Xiao Shi muttered to himself, then suddenly stood up and said, "Sister Ling

, call Xiao Min and ask Zhang Tang to help investigate that waiter's family background overnight. They must be connected. No matter how many generations back, we must find out the connection between them!" Ling Yueru responded. Xiao Shi then said to Stanley, "Officer Stanley, we now have six witnesses. Will Prosecutor Sheng agree?"

"Xiao, you're wrong. It's not six, it's ten." Stanley grinned. "You forgot about the four children. Innocent children never lie!" Children do

n't lie? Never heard of that. Xiao Shi chuckled inwardly and said, "Officer Stanley, then I'll leave it to you. I'll go to the police station later and explain everything to you."

"No problem, I swear on my family's name!" Stanley readily agreed and ran off to do his work. Xiao Shi clearly saw something. He kept it all bottled up for three days straight, almost suffocating him.

The American sheriff left, and Xie Zhuying glared at Xiao Shi. She sat down next to Chang Mei and asked, "Little sister, didn't I remind you? Why are you still seeing so many women?"

Chang Mei said with a mournful face, "You reminded me too late. We had already broken up. I had to shamelessly go back later."

Yang Qianhui leaned forward and asked, "What about the certificate? Who did you give it to?"

Chang Mei snorted heavily, pointing at Yang Luo and saying, "She stole it!"

"How dare you?" Yang Luo nestled next to Xiao Shi, craning her neck and saying, "You broke up with my husband first, and I came back when he was at his lowest point. Everyone in the house can testify!" She then raised her chin and said to Ling Yueru, "Sister Ling, this can't be considered me bringing up old grievances. She said it first."

Ling Yueru smiled bitterly; Chang Mei still wanted to say something. Cheng Dong chuckled, "My dear sisters-in-law, stop arguing. It's normal to have disagreements in relationships. It's fate that we're all together, so cherish it. Especially you two brothers." He then turned his attention to Xiao Shi and Liu Jing. "Our family is a bit special. To reduce unnecessary arguments, you must treat everyone equally. Be impartial to your wives, that's how you..."

"Ugh!" Just as Cheng Dong was speaking, Yang Qianhui suddenly vomited, covering her mouth and turning away. Li Xiaoru quickly asked, "Sister Yang, what's wrong?"

"I'm fine, I just suddenly feel unwell, I'm sorry," Yang Qianhui said, blushing and glancing at Cheng Dong. Wang Yao, afraid of embarrassing her husband, chuckled, "Don't be offended, everyone. Sister Yang... hehe, she might be pregnant again."

"Oh my, congratulations..." everyone immediately congratulated.

"Stop congratulating!" Xie Zhuying suddenly interrupted, "She's not pregnant, Cheng Dong disgusted her!"

"Zhuying, you..." Cheng Dong pointed at her, speechless with anger. "Zhu Ying, you heartless wretch! I've been so good to you for nothing!"

Everyone looked at each other, then burst into laughter.

After everyone finished laughing, Qin Yu affectionately hugged Cheng Dong's arm: "There's no need for everyone to laugh. This is normal. Good and bad should be left to nature. Although our family is special, people are still human, and there will definitely be differences in affection. How can we truly treat everyone equally? Five fingers can't be the same length, and even five sons can't be treated equally, let alone five wives?"

"Yes, yes, yes!" This immediately won Yang Luo's agreement, and she also hugged Xiao Shi's arm and said, "But we... oh dear!"

Yang Luo suddenly exclaimed halfway through her sentence, attracting everyone's attention. Qin Yu asked with concern, "Sister, what's wrong? It's okay, we get along so well, just say what you want to say."

Yang Luo glanced at Dongfang Jin and said aggrievedly, "Sister Qin, you just said five, but both of your families have five, and my husband only has four. This is so unfair!"

I was just saying it casually, what does that mean? Qin Yu and everyone else were confused. Yang Luo sweetly said to Xiao Shi, "Honey, look, Sister Qin said there are five in the family, and Jin'er likes you too. I think today is a good day, so why don't you just marry her to make up the numbers?"

"I..." This is supposed to be a way to make up the numbers? Xiao Shi was about to faint.

"No way!" Before Xiao Shi could faint, Tian Yu suddenly jumped out, "Jin'er and I have already agreed that she and Lele will be my husband's mistresses!"

"Tian..." Liu Jing, who was watching the show, slid off the sofa upon hearing this.

Yang Luo hurriedly argued, "Your husband already has five, what do you need mistresses for? You're like a well-fed man who doesn't know the hunger of a starving man! Are you trying to kill my husband?!"

Upon hearing this, Xiao Shi, who had just regained consciousness, fainted again, and everyone in the room fainted. Little Tiger was also anxious and said to Dongfang Jin and Dong Le with dissatisfaction, "You two broke your promise! You both promised my mother you wouldn't be Liu Jing's wife?"

Tian Yu interjected, "Sister Zheng, she's a mistress, not a wife!"

"What's the difference? There's no certificate anyway!" Little Tiger was furious.

Liu Jing struggled to his feet: "Tian Yu, you're being disobedient again. Did you just say that?" He finally understood what the four women were whispering about all day, and what Tian Yu and Yang Luo were arguing about.

"Oh no!" Tian Yu rushed to his side, looking pitiful. "Honey, that fake news ruined their reputations. Who else would they go with but you? Besides, they agreed themselves. Don't believe me? Ask them!"

Liu Jing looked up in astonishment. Dong Le blushed and said, "It doesn't matter. Anyway, Qin and Tian Yu have always been on the same side." Dongfang Jin said, "I'm just writing an investigation report. I might leave at any time after I finish it. You don't need to be nervous."

Damn! Writing an investigation report can make someone a lover?

Yu Xia laughed: "Honey, you're amazing. With Dong Le, you've got all three captains of the S City police force."

"Hmph!" Guo pushed up his glasses disdainfully. "She's just a squad leader. Is that something to make a fuss about?"

Seeing that the Liu family was about to reach an agreement. Yang Luo, having wasted his time, was about to say something when Xiao Shi said, "Xiao Luo, forget it. Quantity isn't important; quality matters more than quantity."

"Who are you talking about? What do you mean?" No sooner had Xiao Shi finished speaking than Liu Jing's five wives and two mistresses tossed aside their belongings...

The next day, Xiao Shi went to the police station to analyze the case for Chief Stanley and Chief Omert. The two were greatly surprised and revered Xiao Shi as a brilliant detective, calling him "China's Ellery Queen." That evening at 7 PM, Shen Meng's retrial was held. At Xiao Shi's request, the location was set at the Passerby Bar, not far from the crime scene.

This was an unusual interrogation. Chief Omert generously entrusted the task of finding the real culprit to Xiao Shi. The Cheng, Xiao, and Liu families were all present. District Attorney Mr. Sheng, Los Angeles District Court Chief Hu

, Japanese Consul Kobayashi, and Tokyo District Inspector Sakumon all came to observe the police. The small Passerby Bar was packed with people. Gong Xiaoyan warmly greeted everyone and even offered free iced tea, a famous Chinese beverage.

Shen Meng wasn't handcuffed. She sat quietly in the front row, smiling and nodding to her parents and the others.

Consul Kobayashi protested, "Director Omert, Mr. Shimazu is a true Yamato, an outstanding Japanese businessman. He was murdered in your country, why isn't the murderer handcuffed?" Director

Omert, though portly, was very gentlemanly, smiling and bowing slightly, "Consul, you may not know, but we've discovered new witnesses, and the old testimonies have been overturned. The beautiful Miss Shen is innocent, so of course she shouldn't be handcuffed."

"If that's the case, why let a Chinese lawyer preside over the trial?" Consul Kobayashi pressed.

Director Omert said, "As you said, he is no longer Miss Shen's defense lawyer, so we have the right to choose any suitable person to help find the real culprit."

Consul Kobayashi was speechless and looked at Inspector Sakumon, hoping he would say something. Inspector Sakumon, his face full of difficulty and heaviness, slowly shook his head without uttering a word.

On the other side, Prosecutor Sheng and Judge Hu were also having an interesting conversation.

"Your Honor, what brings you here?" Prosecutor Sheng asked politely.

Judge Hu said, "Oh, I heard that the Chinese lawyer has turned this place into a courtroom, so of course I had to come and see."

"Your learning spirit is admirable!" Prosecutor Sheng bowed.

Judge Hu quickly waved his hand, "No, no, my old friend, I just wanted to take a look. Things are different now than they were back then. Young people can't be trusted, especially young Chinese people."

"Absolutely right, you're always so wise!" Prosecutor Sheng said piously.

As the two were talking, the interrogation began, with Xiao Shi and the new translator Xie Zhuying entering. Although Fang Yuruo had lived in Los Angeles for a year, she could only translate the gist of the sentence and couldn't compare to the expressive and engaging translation of Reporter Xie.

First, Xiao Shi bowed to the American lady and pointed to Shen Meng, asking, "Mrs. Swensen, do you know this lady?"

"Yes, they've asked me several times already," Mrs. Swensen replied warmly and talkatively. "That day I was on my way home—oh, I sell things on the street every day and always get home around this time—when I saw this young lady and the Japanese man enter this place. Later, when I got home, I saw them come out of the window, arguing." Mrs. Swensen pointed out the window, "That's my house. I feed the cats on the balcony every day at that time, so I saw them."

Xiao Shi asked, "Are you sure you didn't mistake them?"

"Of course not," Mrs. Swensen said somewhat discontentedly. "My eyesight is excellent, and I'm not old, only sixty-nine."

Everyone smiled, and Xiao Shi, suppressing a laugh, said, "Yes, you are very healthy; I can tell perfectly well. But Mrs. Swensen, could you allow us to conduct a small experiment to prove your consistently sharp eyesight?"

"Why not? I can prove it right now," Mrs. Swensen said defiantly, taking a sip of iced tea.

“Alright, please wait a moment.” Xiao Shi stepped aside, and Fang Yuruo, dressed in a white dress, emerged from behind. Xiao Shi pointed and asked, “Mrs. Swensen, you see this young lady now. If she left for a few minutes, would you still recognize her?”

“Of course I would. I remember what she looks like right now.” The experiment was too simple; Mrs. Swensen dismissed it dismissively.

Xiao Shi smiled and waved for Fang Yuruo to go back. Then, Fang Yuruo, Zheng Fangxi, Tian Yu, Xun Le, Dongfang Jin, and Guo (who wasn't wearing glasses), all six wearing different styles of white dresses, appeared together.

Xiao Shi asked, “Mrs. Swensen, please point out the young lady from before.”

Mrs. Swensen, holding her iced tea, was immediately dumbfounded. After holding up her finger for a while, she exclaimed, “Good heavens, how come all these Chinese people look exactly alike?”

A good-natured chuckle rippled through the crowd. Xiao Shi glanced at Prosecutor Sheng, who was observing, and politely asked Mrs. Swensen to leave.

The second was amateur photographer Pavin, a young man of Irish descent. He took the murder photo of Shen Meng from his own balcony. He brought his camera, a very high-end one, as requested.

Xiao Shi cut to the chase: "Mr. Pavin, you are an excellent amateur photographer with such a high-end camera. Given such a rare opportunity as 'murder,' why did you only take one photo instead of using continuous shooting?"

Pavin's expression immediately froze. He stammered, "Because at the time... I was very nervous."

"No, you're lying!" Xiao Shi pointed at him. "Any photography enthusiast cherishes the opportunity. You would never take only one photo. You just carefully selected one because you want to be famous, you want your photo to be evidence of murder!"

The Irishman panicked, his eyes darting around. "I didn't! I only took one photo! Everyone knows that when someone is injured, the knife shouldn't be pulled out. It will worsen the injury. In my photo, that lady is holding a knife. What else could it be but murder?"

Xiao Shi scoffed and said to Shen Meng, "Miss Shen, please..." "Everyone, please explain."

Shen Meng stood up gracefully: "That's right, normally you shouldn't pull out a knife. But that Japanese gentleman was severely injured, and his chances of survival were slim. When I found him, he had completely stopped breathing, with only a weak pulse. In this situation, the important thing is to get him breathing again, to hold on a little longer. The knife was stuck in his lung, and I pulled it out to stimulate his lung function, to get him breathing again, to try and hold on until the ambulance arrived. But unfortunately, he couldn't hold on."

The onlookers were silent, all moved by Shen Meng's noble spirit, watching her intently.

Xiao Shi turned to the photographer and said, "Now you understand?"

"So what? I can only say I didn't know." This guy was still trying to argue.

Xiao Shi shook his head, glaring angrily at him, and said, "Fine, I'll tell you, every roll of film has a serial number. I believe that as long as you produce all the negatives of that photo, which are connected vertically, that's the whole process of saving someone!"

After saying that, Xiao Shi turned to Stanley and said, "Officer Stanley, I have ample reason to believe that Mr. Pavin is suspected of perjury. As Ms. Shen's lawyer, I request your country's police to assist in obtaining all the negatives from that night. If the evidence is conclusive, please impose legal sanctions!"

Pavin trembled, his eyes widening in panic. Stanley sighed, waved his hand, and two policemen took the pale-faced Irish photographer away.

Prosecutor Sheng, standing to the side, shook his head repeatedly: "My God, an American, actually did such a thing? It's a disgrace to America!"

Judge Hu shrugged: "My poor friend, this isn't your fault. As I've always said, young people these days can't be trusted. Not only in China, but facts have proven that we in America also have such guys."

Finally, it was the restaurant waiter's turn, the young South Korean man, Park Hwan-jung. The facts of the first two witnesses were still vivid in his mind. He hesitated as he stepped forward, his heart filled with countless fears and contradictions.

Unexpectedly, Xiao Shi did not ask questions as usual. Instead, he first asked Cheng Dong's family to leave before saying, "Mr. Park, do you remember these people? Do you still insist on your original testimonies?"

"I..." The young man looked at the two Japanese men not far away and finally lowered his head.

Xiao Shi did not ask any more questions. He looked around and said, "Now, I will tell everyone all the facts of this case. The real murderer in this case is the deceased's wife, Miss Kitahara Kiyoko. The person Mrs. Svensson saw twice was also Miss Kiyoko..."

"Absurd! Completely unfounded!" Consul Kobayashi roared, "What evidence do you have? Why would Miss Kiyoko kill her beloved husband?"

Inspector Sakumon was unable to stop him and turned his face away in pain.

Xiao Shi walked up to Kobayashi: "Mr. Kobayashi, finding evidence is the business of Officer Stanley and Inspector Sakumon, but I can tell you the motive."

Inspector Sakumon slowly closed his eyes, no longer wanting to look. Consul Kobayashi asked suspiciously, "What motive?"

Xiao Shi said, word by word, "Racial discrimination, Japanese racial discrimination."

"Whoa!" The entire room erupted in uproar. Americans were intimately familiar with racial discrimination, especially with many Black police officers present. Yet, they couldn't understand how there could be racial discrimination between two Japanese people.

"What did you say?" Kobayashi was even more incredulous.

Xiao Shi smiled faintly, "Miss Kitahara is Japanese, but of Korean ethnicity. Her grandfather, like Mr. Park Hwan-jung, was from Joppo Village in South Korea. During World War II, Miss Kitahara's grandfather was captured by your country's army and forced into labor in Japan. After the war, many returned home, but he stayed."

Consul Kobayashi was stunned, finally understanding why Inspector Sakumon had been so distressed.

Xiao Shi addressed the crowd, “Ladies and gentlemen, racial discrimination includes not only skin color but also discrimination among people of the same skin color. And it’s equally cruel. I believe Officer Stanley’s family must know this all too well.”

“Yes,” Officer Stanley stood up proudly, “like Nazi Germany’s treatment of Jews.”

“Thank you,” Xiao Shi smiled and continued, “In Japan, this kind of discrimination also exists. And it’s been going on for centuries. First, it was discrimination against the Burakumin and the untouchables, and after World War II, it evolved into discrimination against Koreans, Han Chinese, and descendants of various Southeast Asian ethnic groups. This discrimination is deeply rooted. The proud Yamato people do not allow their bloodline to be tainted, and descendants of other ethnic groups are forced to conceal their lineage, including Miss Kitahara Kaori. Mr. Shimazu, from a prominent family, was clearly unaware of this fact, but in this restaurant, he unexpectedly discovered it.

” Mr. Shimazu temporarily left to use the restroom or for other reasons. Miss Kitahara and Park Hwan were chatting and were pleasantly surprised to find they were from the same hometown. They naturally spoke in their native language, but when Mr. Shimazu returned, he discovered Miss Kitahara’s secret. He was furious, believing his family's excellent bloodline had been tarnished, and divorce was inevitable. They argued, and Miss Kitahara, unable to bear the humiliation, killed her husband. Mr. Park Hwan-jung, out of compassion for his clan, chose to conceal the truth. That's the whole story.

Everyone suddenly understood, but still found it unbelievable.

Xiao Shi said, "The Japanese writer Shimazaki Toson revealed this issue in his famous work 'Broken Commandments.' He said, 'Never reveal the secret of your birth; endure and endure again, even if you die like a wolf in the wilderness, endure to the end.' As a Japanese, his answer couldn't be more profound."

Everyone fell silent, all eyes focused on the two Japanese men. Consul Kobayashi and Inspector Sakumon lowered their heads, their faces filled with deep shame, not for the problem itself, but for the ugliness of their homeland.

Xiao Shi went to Inspector Sakumon, staring at him, and said, "Inspector, you should have known the truth long ago, but you chose to make an innocent Chinese man a scapegoat just to avoid bringing shame upon your country. Am I right?" Inspector

Sakumon's face twitched, and he bowed deeply: "I'm sorry, I'm very sorry." Xiao

Shi calmly walked away, not accepting the apology—not because he refused, but because it was meaningless. The apology should have been directed at all Chinese people, not just him and Shen Meng.

The case ended, and the Americans, including Prosecutor Sheng and Judge Hu, gave Xiao Shi the warmest applause. Prosecutor Sheng and Judge Hu continued clapping and talking.

Prosecutor Sheng said, "Such a thing! The Japanese are such a nuisance!"

"There's nothing we can do, my prosecutor, the Japanese are everywhere," Judge Hu said.

Prosecutor Sheng shook his head, "If only those islands were all sunk to the bottom of the sea!"

"Exactly, then we could enjoy the Chinese wine here in peace, instead of cheap drinks." "Judge Hu said humorously.

Hearing the conversation, Gong Xiaoyan fulfilled the wishes of the judge and prosecutor. That evening, a grand banquet was held at the Passerby Restaurant. The Cheng Dong, Xiao Shi, and Liu Jing families all attended. Prosecutor Sheng and Judge Hu were also invited, but they quickly left with complimentary Chinese wine. They knew they were just passersby; neither this night nor the story belonged to them.

That night in Hollywood, the moon was full outside the window, but the Passerby Restaurant had no passersby. Just like a famous saying from Qidian: It's okay to fantasize, as long as the ending is perfect.

The End"
