A Dream of Red Mansions: A Fairy Tale of Dreams (Complete) - Part 1

Chapter One: A One-Night Romance

Under the flickering, ambiguous lights of a bustling, dimly lit bar, Shi Yu walked with elegant steps toward his target. His handsome face conveyed goodwill, but only the slight upturn at the corners of his mouth revealed his carefree and unrestrained nature.
A tall, broad-shouldered figure stopped in a secluded corner. In this bustling, decadent space, this place was like a tranquil paradise. A sophisticated urban woman with dreamy eyes and rosy cheeks leaned quietly against the table, one hand supporting her full chin, the other gently swirling a crystal wine glass. Her moist red lips added a touch of sensuality, making her seem like a bewitching, alluring sprite in the night.
"You seem very sad. Why?" Shi Yu's bright eyes carefully observed the melancholy beauty before him.
The beautiful woman glanced at him silently, then took a large gulp of her cocktail, the pale red liquid flowing down the glass and onto her rosy lips.
Shi Yu, standing across the table, watched, his heart fluttering. A seasoned womanizer, he outwardly remained unchanged, but he had already chosen his prey for the night.
"In this abandoned world, there are always people more lonely than you! Since we've met, can we comfort each other?" Shi Yu's magnetic whisper carried a poignant sadness; he had decided to make this night more vibrant with the sparks of passion. Her long
fingers paused. The beautiful woman lowered her eyes, thought for a moment, then looked up, staring intently at the man who had approached her. "You're very good with words. Are you more lonely than me?" "I've been through too much, so how can I not be lonely?" Shi Yu stared back at her, his deep voice revealing a deep-seated helplessness.
The beautiful woman's gaze softened instantly. She gently raised her fair arm, gracefully gesturing for the melancholic yet handsome man opposite her to sit down.
Shi Yu naturally sat opposite her, wisely forgoing the seat next to her; distance creates beauty, and he couldn't afford to arouse her suspicion or displeasure. He knew that overconfidence always leads to failure!
"Today is September 1st, 2059," Shi Yu raised his glass to the woman, dropping the final bombshell under her puzzled gaze, "Tonight, forget everything, and I hope we can both be happy!" The woman raised her glass in response, inexplicable tears making her rosy eyes appear even more alluring and captivating.
"Ah!" A passionate moan echoed in the luxurious hotel suite. Shi Yu's strong, masculine body writhed and swayed beneath her soft, alluring form, fully enjoying the intoxicating passion.
The man's strength was deeply embedded in the woman's voluptuous body, her body flushed crimson. The powerful thrusts, rhythmic and intense, brought wave after wave of ecstatic passion to the woman. Their
wild lovemaking reached its peak when the man held her close against the wall. The two naked, intertwined figures traversed every corner of the room in their movements and swaying.
"Ah!" The powerless woman clung softly to Shi Yu, the powerful heat surging into her already exhausted body. The man, in a throbbing daze, held her as they slowly fell into the jacuzzi. The varying currents of water washed over the satisfied lovers, allowing them to lazily enjoy the post-coital bliss.
In the morning, Shi Yu drove his dusty, vintage Ferrari at breakneck speed along the highway, the scene of their parting flashing through his mind. A carefree smile returned to his lips.
"Stay! I want to spend my life with you!" the woman cried, holding Shi Yu's large hand tenderly.
"I'm sorry, our time together was only 12 hours!" The man gently embraced the woman, lightly kissing her lips. "Goodbye! If I ever come back to this city, I'll definitely look for you. I hope you'll be happy from now on!" Under the woman's lingering gaze, the man nonchalantly started the engine and resolutely resumed his wandering journey.
Five years had passed. Shi Yu, now 25, had been wandering for five years. A calling always lured him, pulling him to search for an unknown feeling, though he himself didn't know what he was looking for. He simply drifted from place to place, and in each new location, he would involuntarily seek a one-night stand. Only in the embrace of beautiful women could he feel a sense of peace. But at dawn, his heart remained empty and adrift, leaving him to continue his aimless wandering, endlessly searching for that indescribable feeling.
A high-end hovercar roared past Shi Yu's antique car, jolting him from his reverie. A disdainful whistle drifted from inside. He glanced at the antique car, still in autopilot mode, then indifferently looked up at the hovercars representing status and power passing overhead.
Is this life?! A single door of one of these hovercars could feed an ordinary family for a lifetime. These high-ranking "masters," aside from shedding those hypocritical tears during their annual speeches, have they ever truly considered the plight of the people?
Looking up at the sky, Shi Yu sighed sadly, shaking his head slightly in a negative way.
Moral decay, rampant selfishness—this is the reality of the world! Five years of wandering, and he hadn't witnessed a glimmer of truth, goodness, and beauty in humanity! The pursuits he held dear could not be proclaimed to the world; the world had discarded them like worn-out shoes, regarding them as foolish.
Alas! Shi Yu forced himself to stop thinking, took one last deep look at the sky devoid of blue sky and white clouds, and slowly closed his eyes to sleep, letting the antique car take him to the next city.
Behind the white mist, within a barrier space undetectable by any high-precision instrument, golden light shone in countless rays, auspicious clouds danced; dragons coiled around pillars, colorful phoenixes soared; exotic flowers and rare herbs bloomed, surrounded by clouds and mist; this was the realm of immortals and Buddhas, the supreme beings of the Three Realms—the Heavenly Realm!
A clear light screen reflected Shi Yu as he sped along, finally settling on his bewildered face.
"Alas! It seems our plan won't work." With a wave of his hand, the Supreme Lord Laozi of Taoism sent the "Mysterious Light Mirror" into thousands of points of light, dissipating into the void.
"How could the Great Sage descend to earth and become like this?!" Nezha, who had remained a child for millennia, stood on his Wind-Fire Wheels, spear in hand, deeply lamenting his friend's "fall from grace."
"Amitabha!" Beneath the smiling face of the chubby Maitreya Buddha lay a solemn expression. "This is the last chance for the Immortal Realm. Let's see if the Victorious Fighting Buddha can achieve his goal." In Chapter Two, at the highest point of the Lingxiao Palace, the Jade Emperor and the Buddha sat side by side, while Guanyin and Laozi stood a step below. All the gods and Buddhas gathered here, silently watching the scene that had been projected by the "Mysterious Mirror."
The dignified and holy Guanyin Bodhisattva held a jade vase in her hands. A hint of doubt flickered in the eyes of this most beautiful female bodhisattva in the Three Realms. "Wukong, guided by the goddess Nuwa, descended to the mortal world to experience the joys and sorrows, the loves and hates of humanity. With his talent, why has he been corrupted by worldly desires? Not only has he failed to comprehend the mysteries of Yin and Yang, but he has also fallen into 'dark desires'!" Even though Wukong had become a Buddha, Guanyin, who was closest to him, still addressed him affectionately. Since the birth of the stone monkey, Guanyin had cherished this adorable spirit monkey in every way. Now, seeing Wukong suffering tribulations, she was naturally anxious.
"The three thousand great worlds, the myriad dusts of the mortal realm!" The Buddha slowly opened his radiant eyes. Although he had expended considerable magical power to resist the attack of the Demon Ancestor Hun Dun, the warm Buddha light still swept over the hearts of all the gods and Buddhas like a spring breeze, calming their somewhat restless "Daoist heart" and "Buddha's heart."
"We are all beings who have distanced ourselves from the mortal world, and cannot fathom the hearts of ordinary people. You must know that the changes in the human heart are as profound and unfathomable as the mysteries of heaven and earth and the universe," the Buddha spoke softly. "The goddess Nuwa wanted the Victorious Fighting Buddha to descend to the mortal world to experience the true feelings of humanity, but now the mortal world is like a pool of sewage. Once the white veil is lifted, the truth cannot be seen. Difficult! Difficult!" The Buddha's repeated use of the word "difficult" instantly weighed heavily on the hearts of all the gods and Buddhas. The reports from the Thousand-Mile Eye and the Wind-Following Ear were like adding fuel to the fire and making matters worse!
"Report! All twenty-eight constellations have perished." "Report! The Demon Ancestor Hundun has transformed the star gods into twenty-eight meteors from outer space, hurtling towards the Celestial Realm at high speed. They will collide with Mount Buzhou in three days." The pampered Jade Emperor's expression changed drastically in an instant. His once straight back trembled, and he almost fell from his throne. His seven beautiful granddaughters rushed forward to support him. With the support of the seven fairies, the Jade Emperor, his limbs weak, looked at the Buddha beside him. "Buddha, the Celestial Realm is in danger! Let us destroy the world!" A flash of spiritual light and the illumination of Buddha's light restored the chaotic crowd of gods and Buddhas to peace. The Buddha's profound words echoed in their ears, "Nuwa will not agree to destroy the world until the very last moment. Moreover, even if we destroy the world and eradicate the source of evil, we are no match for the Demon Ancestor Hundun. This demon is a primordial demon, born with chaos. Only the primordial god Pangu could resist him. However, Pangu was the creator of..." "Heaven and earth have transformed, and he has become one with nature, returning to nothingness! The power of the primordial gods and demons is boundless, beyond the comprehension of us acquired gods and Buddhas!" The hearts of all the immortals and Buddhas sank simultaneously. The Buddha's words changed, bringing them a glimmer of hope, "The Five-Colored Divine Stones also originated from chaos. As long as the Fighting Buddha, who is the incarnation of the divine stone, comprehends the power of Yin and Yang—reaching the chaotic realm of the origin of heaven and earth—he can defeat the Hundun Demon Ancestor. This is the only turning point for the Heavenly Realm!" As soon as the Buddha finished speaking, the gods fell into thought. Everything returned to the starting point, and their hopes were pinned on the "Great Sage Equaling Heaven," who had been reincarnated and descended to the mortal realm.
"I've come up with a plan," said Guanyin, known for her wisdom, smiling as she held up a flower. "The 'Taoist and Buddhist Barrier' can still hold for three days, and Wukong has three more years in the mortal realm. Since the mortal world is currently so corrupt, why don't we go all out and work together to open the 'Gate of Time and Space,' sending Wukong to the pure and clean world of the past for some experience? That way, we might still have a chance of victory!" Laozi nodded in agreement. "Gathering the power of all the immortals and Buddhas should be able to open the Gate of Time and Space, but the backlash will be devastating, even for those of us with immortal and Buddha bodies cultivated for millions of years." "It would be unbearable, and the one who goes first would inevitably suffer the calamity of their soul being scattered." "If I don't go to hell, who will?!" Ksitigarbha, riding on his mount, emerged from among the gods and Buddhas, bowing to the Jade Emperor and Tathagata with his palms together. "Ksitigarbha is willing to take the lead and receive the power to open the gate of time and space!" "Brother Buddha, let me do it! The thousands of ghost soldiers in the underworld still need your leadership. Otherwise, if wronged souls rush out of the underworld, the evil atmosphere in the human world will increase greatly, and the power of the dark demon army will rise even higher!" Guanyin Bodhisattva spoke logically, leaving Ksitigarbha, who understood the situation, speechless and helplessly bowing to Guanyin with his palms together.
All the gods and Buddhas in the sky bowed to Guanyin with their palms together. Although they had cultivated for millions of years and had long since transcended the seven emotions and six desires of the human world, they could not help but deeply respect her actions. To easily and completely give up one's life and have one's soul scattered was something even gods and Buddhas had to think carefully about!
"Oh no! Oh no!" An urgent cry reached the ears of all the immortals and Buddhas, startling them. Had the dark army arrived ahead of schedule?
Pigsy, with his long nose and large ears, rushed into the Lingxiao Palace, his panicked words revealing the answer: "Oh no! The 'Golden Cudgel' that Brother Monkey entrusted to me for safekeeping has flown away on its own! I couldn't stop it! The power of the Golden Cudgel is too great!" The immortals and Buddhas were terrified upon hearing this. What could they do?!
In the beginning of heaven and earth, there was chaos. Primordial gods and demons arose from the void, simultaneously giving birth to the first divine object in the world—the Five-Colored Divine Stone.
The god Pangu separated heaven and earth, and the power of the chaotic void differentiated into Yin and Yang energies; the pure energy of heaven descended, and the turbid energy of earth rose. Heaven and earth responded, Yin and Yang harmonized, and all things came into being.
The goddess Nuwa mended the sky with stones. Since metal and stone were originally one, after countless hammerings and forgings, gold within the stone was refined. This metal, imbued with spirit, transformed into the first divine weapon of heaven and earth—the Ruyi Jingu Bang (Golden Cudgel)!
Of the stones Nuwa refined, only one remained unused. After being tempered by divine fire and absorbing the essence of the sun and moon and the primordial energy of heaven and earth over time, this stone miraculously gave birth to a spirit monkey, the later "Great Sage Equal to Heaven," Sun Wukong! Born from the same source, only Wukong within the Three Realms can wield the Ruyi Jingu Bang (Golden Cudgel)!
In the Heavenly Realm, twenty-five days ago.
Time has passed, and after two thousand years of peace in the Three Realms, the moral decay and rampant materialism of mortals in the human world have led to a surge of resentment and rampant evil. This dark and lewd atmosphere has awakened the slumbering primordial demon—the Demon Ancestor Hun Dun. Born for destruction, the Demon Ancestor has slaughtered gods and Buddhas without equal in the Three Realms, leaving all immortals and Buddhas in grave danger!
The army of immortals and Buddhas was no match for the dark demon army and was forced to retreat to the Heavenly Palace. The Buddha, Laozi, and other powerful immortals and Buddhas joined forces to create the "Taoist-Buddhist Barrier," barely managing to hold off the demon army's attack. However, under the primal demonic power of the Demon Ancestor, which was as powerful as creation itself, the barrier gradually weakened and could only last for twenty-eight days.
Chapter Three: The Discussion of Annihilation. One day in heaven is equivalent to one year on earth. Faced with this fleeting "moment," the immortals and Buddhas, who lived as long as heaven, were filled with fear and desperately sought a way to defeat the enemy.
"Your Majesty, Buddha, I have an idea," said Taibai Jinxing, whom Wukong jokingly called "the dog-headed strategist," stepping forward from the ranks. "The power of the Demon Ancestor Hun Dun comes from the corrupt human world. If we destroy the mortal realm, we can sever the source of the Dark Demon Army's power. Although we cannot defeat them immediately, we can win as long as we hold out until the Demon Ancestor's power is exhausted!" "Destroy the world!" This astonishing news exploded among the gods and Buddhas, and the idea they had never considered before swirled in their minds.
"I agree!" Erlang Shen, the most stern enforcer of the Heavenly Court, was the first to speak in agreement, and his celestial hound, Xiaotian, wagged its tail vigorously in agreement with its master.
"What a brilliant plan!" Venerable Ananda and Venerable Kasyapa simultaneously clasped their hands together, chanting Amitabha, and stepped forward from the ranks of the monks.
"Agreed!" In an instant, the Taoist and Buddhist figures spoke up, their emotions running high.
The Jade Emperor and Buddha exchanged a glance and nodded in approval of Venus's plan to eliminate any remaining mortals. Even the most powerful gods and Buddhas, when faced with a life-or-death situation, did not hesitate to abandon the mortals of the human world. Perhaps in their hearts, the human realm was nothing more than an anthill, even though they themselves came from the same "anthill"!
"Old Sun can't take it anymore!" The Victorious Fighting Buddha, clad in Buddhist robes, leaped into the air, his golden eyes blazing with golden light. He ripped his robes in two with a "whoosh," and pointed his hairy hand at the assembled immortals and Buddhas below. "Old Sun has tolerated you for over a thousand years! What right do you have to decide the survival of billions of beings in the mortal realm?!
I think you're not even as good as demons!" "How dare you!" Before the Jade Emperor and Buddha could react, Erlang Shen and Li Tianwang roared, "You monkey, are you trying to rebel again?!" "So what if Old Sun wreaks havoc in the Heavenly Palace today?!" Wukong's temper flared, and his heroic aura surged forth, instantly startling the immortals and Buddhas.
Magical weapons flew, precious light illuminated the sky, and a menacing aura filled the air! The gods and Buddhas of the heavens immediately confronted Wukong, and a fierce battle was about to erupt.
Just at the critical moment, a gentle glow suddenly appeared out of nowhere, ending this earth-shattering civil war!
"Wukong, stop!" The holy Guanyin Bodhisattva descended from the sky beside the goddess Nuwa, gently stopping Wukong's reckless behavior.
If Wukong had anyone to fear within the Three Realms, Guanyin was undoubtedly the only one! The Ruyi Jingu Bang (Golden Cudgel) swayed in the wind, its boundless immortal power rapidly contracting, transforming into a needle and returning to Wukong's ear.
"Greetings, High God!" All the gods and Buddhas, led by the Jade Emperor and Tathagata, bowed in respect. The conflict was finally completely resolved.
"Wukong, come here!" Nuwa beckoned to the stone monkey, her loving eyes carefully examining the "mischievous" monkey she had "created.
" "Greetings, Your Majesty!" A rare sight appeared: the once wild and untamed stone monkey obediently came to Nuwa's side, the sharpness in his fiery golden eyes vanishing, replaced by a tender, yearning gaze. In a sense, it wouldn't be an exaggeration to call Nuwa Wukong's "mother"!
Nuwa, who had lived for countless eons, gently stroked Wukong's fluffy head. After a moment, she turned and gazed at the myriad gods and Buddhas in the sky.
"The Demon Ancestor Hun Dun possesses boundless magical power; none of us are his match. Even if we were to annihilate the mortal realm, we would still be doomed!" Nuwa's gentle words plunged the hearts of all the immortals and Buddhas into despair. Within the Three Realms, Nuwa's magical power was not the highest, but her knowledge was undoubtedly the most extensive!
Whether immortals or Buddhas, their magical power cannot be attained solely through cultivation. Their innate aptitude determines the level of their magical power; this "aptitude" is what people commonly refer to as "celestial affinity" or "Buddha-nature."
Nuwa's next words finally brought a glimmer of hope to all the immortals and Buddhas: "Among the Three Realms, only Wukong has a chance of victory!" "Your Majesty, I don't have that ability!" Wukong shook his hands frantically. He had already fought a great battle with the Demon Ancestor Hun Dun, but he was defeated after only a short time. The magical artifacts of all the gods and Buddhas were as useless as children's toys under the boundless demonic power.
"Don't worry, monkey! Let Your Majesty explain it to you in detail!" Nuwa smiled at Wukong, gently comforting the scratching "little" monkey.
It turned out that the divine stone embryo originally had no concrete form. Only because it accidentally fell into Monkey Mountain during its initial formation did the embryo take the form of a monkey, thus achieving the supremely yang and powerful spirit monkey body.
The "Ruyi Jingu Bang" (Golden Cudgel), originating from chaos, contains the yin and yang forces of the universe's origin. Whoever can fully unleash the power hidden within its profound space will possess boundless magical power, achieving a level of mastery comparable to creation, reaching the ultimate realm of chaos.
However, the supremely yang and powerful Wukong can only unleash his yang magical power, unable to resonate with the yin force within the "Golden Cudgel." Unable to achieve yin-yang harmony, he can only unleash twenty percent of the chaotic power. Even so, this has already made the "Great Sage Equal to Heaven" invincible throughout the Three Realms, with few rivals!
"Your Majesty, is there any way for me to merge with the yin force?" Hearing this, Wukong was already scratching his ears and cheeks with excitement, his heart itching with anticipation.
All the gods and Buddhas in heaven were also filled with anticipation for this sudden good news; in this time of crisis, they consciously abandoned their jealousy.
Seeing Wukong's innocent nature, Guanyin and Nuwa exchanged a smile. Guanyin, who already knew about this, spoke at Nuwa's prompting: "Although mortals are foolish, the human body is the most intelligent of all things, deeply in accordance with the principles of heaven and earth, containing the mysteries of the universe." She paused, and Guanyin's heavenly voice reached Wukong's ears: "Wukong, as long as you descend to the mortal world and experience the truth, goodness, and beauty of humanity, you will naturally comprehend the power of Yin and Yang; when Yin and Yang unite and reach the state of chaotic void, you can save the Three Realms and Six Paths, and use boundless immortal power to purify the evil energy of the mortal world, restoring light and peace to the mortal realm." Guanyin did not wait for Wukong's response, her caring eyes gazing intently at him: "However, although this process is short, it is extremely dangerous. First, you must self-destruct your immortal body and fall into reincarnation. You must think carefully!" The entire Lingxiao Palace fell silent, all the gods and Buddhas waiting for Wukong's answer. For immortals, reincarnation in the mortal realm is an extremely dangerous trial; one wrong step and they could be trapped in the cycle
of reincarnation forever. Moreover, with the Demon Ancestor Hun Dun watching them like a hawk, would he allow this "Super Wukong" to be born? "Your Majesty, let's begin!" Wukong bowed calmly, a rare display of resolve on his furry face. He, the "Great Sage Equal to Heaven," had endured the 108,000-mile journey to the West; he would not fear this mere descent to the mortal realm!
Chapter Four: Transformation into Jade A cool breeze swept over him, the slight chill waking the sleeping Shi Yu. His bright eyes had barely opened when an incredibly powerful shockwave instantly blanked his mind, leaving only the breathtakingly beautiful woman in ancient costume filling his vision.
A flowing white dress trailed on the ground, her robes billowing in the wind. Her jet-black hair was styled in a high bun, draped lightly over it by a white veil, creating an ethereal and
captivating effect. Perfect features seemed naturally inlaid on her smooth, jade-like face, a soft halo clearly enveloping the figure of this ancient beauty. Faced with this breathtaking scene, Shi Yu's long-tested elegance and dashing demeanor vanished, revealing his true, lecherous nature.
"Wow! A super beauty!" Like a child encountering his idol, Shi Yu suddenly exclaimed, his mouth agape, drool dripping unnoticed. He simply strained his eyes, determined to etch this peerless beauty into his memory forever, never to be forgotten!
Guanyin, seeing this "grotesque" reincarnation of Wukong before her, was both angry and amused. Even with her boundless wisdom, she could not have imagined that their reunion would be like this!
"I wonder if he'll even remember his current appearance after he regains his immortal destiny?!" Guanyin thought of Wukong's expression back then, and even her usually calm and unwavering Buddhist heart couldn't help but ripple with a playful smile.
A surge of magical power emanated from the upper realm, and Guanyin's heart tightened, snapping her back to reality. Time was running out! Her slender, graceful fingers moved, and with each change of the "hand seal," immortal power enveloped the space around them, propelling Shi Yu and his carriage into the void.
This "lecherous fellow," whose eyes were only fixed on beautiful women, had never seen such a breathtakingly beautiful yet dignified and holy woman. He remained completely dazed, unaware that he had become a "flying man"!
So beautiful! Shi Yu felt no impure thoughts, only awe and wonder, cautiously "observing from afar." Such a beauty, coupled with that soft halo, was probably even more beautiful than the legendary fairies!
Thinking this to himself, Shi Yu's heart suddenly trembled—the halo! How could there be a halo?!
He rubbed his eyes hard, his heart pounding with anxiety, and looked again. Good heavens! It really was a halo! What was going on?
Panicked and disoriented, Shi Yu frantically looked around, instinctively trying to avoid this "terrifying" reality; but the reality that greeted him had escalated from "terrifying" to "horrifying"—all around him was a vast expanse of white mist. Although he was still inside the car, he had become a "flying car"!
"A ghost!" Realizing what had happened, all his composure vanished. He screamed loudly, his eyes rolled back, and he immediately fainted.
Even though Guanyin knew the situation was urgent, she couldn't help but smile wryly. Was this still the fearless and heroic "Great Sage Equal to Heaven"?!
She sighed inwardly, mustered her strength, and in an instant, her magical power surged. The vast mist enveloped the car, carrying Shi Yu at an accelerated speed towards the heavens.
In the endless void, countless immortals and Buddhas stood in rows, their myriad magical artifacts hovering overhead, gathering the yin and yang energies of heaven and earth. The power of countless immortals and Buddhas converged like streams forming a river, causing ripples to spread across the previously empty space. With the immortals and Buddhas continuously adding their power, a deafening roar erupted at the center of the ripples, and the ripples transformed into a raging torrent, spinning wildly, the vortex relentlessly devouring their power.
Just as the immortals and Buddhas were about to exhaust their power, a black dot slowly appeared at the center of the vortex, like "open sesame." The black dot struggled, finally growing into a large circular hole over ten feet in diameter. The so-called "black hole" of the mortal world finally revealed its mysterious true form thanks to the efforts of the immortals and Buddhas.
"Great Bodhisattva Guanyin, quickly send the Victorious Fighting Buddha into the 'Gate of Time and Space'!" Seeing the time was ripe, Tathagata decisively gave the order.
"I obey your decree!" Guanyin raised her hand, and the jade bottle in her hand rose high, rapidly expanding. A powerful suction force emanated from the bottle, drawing both herself and Shi Yu inside. Propelled by divine power, the jade bottle flew towards the "Gate of Time and Space" at an unbelievable speed. With
a jolt, Shi Yu awoke as he flew into the jade bottle. He opened his eyes, about to shout "Ghosts!", but was met with a sky full of gods and Buddhas glaring menacingly. The poor, unlucky fellow screamed again, "My God!" Overwhelmed with fear, he fainted once more. In the instant he lost consciousness, a strange sadness welled up within him. Having grown up in an orphanage, did he even have "parents"?
Seeing the jade bottle disappear into the "Gate of Time and Space," all the gods and Buddhas breathed a sigh of relief. The first goal had been achieved; now it was up to fate! Even gods and Buddhas could not escape the whims of capricious destiny!
Without the support of magic, the black hole began to shrink. Just as it was about to disappear when it was only about a foot in diameter, a phantom streaked through the air with a speed exceeding that of light. The "Ruyi Jingu Bang" (the magic staff) entered the "small" black hole with thousands of golden rays. Even after the "gate of time and space" was completely closed, the phantom of the number one divine weapon of heaven and earth still appeared before all the gods and Buddhas in the sky.
While unconscious, Shi Yu had a rather bizarre dream. He dreamt that he and a beautiful woman were trapped inside a bottle. The "terrifying" jade bottle then plunged into a dark space, and with a "bang," it shattered in two under immense pressure. An
even more ridiculous dream followed: having "escaped" the bottle, Shi Yu suddenly found himself outside his body. In the dream, he couldn't help but laugh with amusement—this must be the legendary soul!
Suddenly, a strange change occurred. Shi Yu, who had been "dreaming" of bizarre scenes, was dumbfounded. He saw his body suddenly burst forth with thousands of golden rays under immense pressure. The golden light dissipated, and his body vanished, leaving only a crystal-clear, exquisite jade stone before him. The jade stone suddenly emitted a powerful suction force, and before he, as a soul, could even scream, he was sucked into the jade stone.
As Shi Yu's soul was being sucked in, he seemed to see the beautiful woman also being sucked into a large, gleaming golden iron rod.
"Heavens! I've turned to stone! What kind of 'dream' is this?!" The soul sucked into the jade felt a sudden darkness before its eyes, plunging once more into a deathly silence.
Fate is indeed capricious! Just as Guanyin, who thought she was doomed, was about to be scattered, she was miraculously saved by the suddenly appearing Golden Cudgel!
Chapter Five: The Spiritual Jade. Inside the grand mansion with its overlapping gates and deep courtyards, maids, servants, and young men were bustling about, their faces filled with sorrow and anxiety.
A group of elderly women and young girls in brocade robes surrounded the door of a side room. From within, mournful cries echoed through the spacious courtyard, heart-wrenching to those who heard and wept.
"Grandma, something terrible has happened! Second Mistress has gone mad too!" Just then, a young maid rushed into the courtyard, running frantically forward.
Before the old woman, referred to as "Grandma," could even utter a rebuke, the disheveled, crazed young woman burst into the courtyard, wielding a gleaming steel knife and slashing wildly, chasing people and chopping down trees. The courtyard erupted in chaos, dust flying everywhere, plunging into even greater panic.
"What are we going to do?!" Surrounded by servants, the old woman wept bitterly. "What sins have we committed? In broad daylight, we've attracted a demonic invasion!" With a bang, the door to the side room was violently flung open, and a similarly disheveled, crazed young man rushed out, clutching his head. Everyone was terrified and rushed towards the boy; if anything happened to their master, they, the servants, would be doomed!
"Quick, stop the Second Master!" Before they could catch the crazed young man, he had already reached the frenzied young woman's side. With bloodshot eyes, "Second Madam" went berserk. Seeing the young man rushing towards her, she raised her gleaming steel knife high and brought it down fiercely on the boy's head.
"No!" everyone cried out in unison. The old lady fainted from shock, and the women around her hurriedly and helplessly helped her up, not knowing what to do!
Just as the blade was about to strike, a miraculous change prevented the tragedy from happening. Thousands of colorful rays of light burst forth from the young man's chest, instantly enveloping the two madmen. The dazzling light blinded everyone, making it impossible to see what was happening within the ball of light.
A moment later, the light disappeared, revealing the madman and his wife inside. They lay still on the ground, their chests rising and falling, already unconscious.
"Second Master's jade has become spiritual!" everyone cheered. Some even knelt down devoutly, praying to heaven for this "miracle."
"Quickly carry Yu'er into the room," a middle-aged woman with an air of wealth and nobility said, gently stroking the boy's cheek. She paused slightly, hesitated, and then continued, "Carry the Second Young Mistress into the room as well, and place her with the Second Master. Now, only the spirit can heal them!" To avoid disturbing the two "strange" patients in the room, only the middle-aged woman's personal maid remained in the courtyard to keep watch. The rest scattered, and a quick-footed servant hurried to summon a doctor to treat the unconscious old lady.
A terrible disturbance temporarily subsided, and the entire mansion began to circulate about the master's first miraculous appearance by Baoyu. With word spreading far and wide, the story became the talk of the town within a day. Everyone knew of this "miracle," and temples and monasteries were bustling with worshippers.
The "miracle" spread even further, reaching the court and the countryside, even the deepest mountains and marshes, causing endless turmoil and writing a brilliant chapter in history.
Shi Yu awoke from the endless silence, his eyelids trembling slightly as he slowly opened his eyes. The scene in the "dream" vanished like lightning, barely remembered. He only vaguely recalled a holy figure and a voice like heavenly music: "When you pick up the Ruyi Jingu Bang again, you will become the new Great Sage Equaling Heaven, traversing the Three Realms!" How terrifying! Thank goodness it was just a dream! Shi Yu let out a long sigh, his heart filled with a sense of relief at surviving a catastrophe. What was that all about? The Ruyi Jingu Bang? Was he Sun Wukong again?! "Heh, heh..." He chuckled to himself, probably because he had watched the centennial retrospective of the classic film "A Chinese Odyssey" by the white-haired film master Zhou a few days ago! Had he gone mad?!
Reality was always "cruel," and after a moment, the poor fellow realized this unchangeable situation.
Shi Yu braced himself with his hands, trying to get out of bed, but the moment he moved, a sharp pain shot through his body, as if pricked by needles. "Ah!" he cried out in pain, his arms giving way, and he fell back onto the bed.
An uneasy feeling welled up inside him, but Shi Yu, who had just woken up, was not fully awake and couldn't immediately pinpoint what was wrong.
"Second Master Bao, you're awake! That's wonderful!" A clear, joyful female voice came from the doorway, and with it, a pretty girl in ancient costume stepped lightly in.
Only then did Shi Yu realize that he was lying on an antique wooden bed, surrounded by ancient objects. He asked in surprise, "Are you calling me? Is this a movie shoot?" "My Second Master Bao, why are you talking nonsense again? We haven't hired any opera troupes these past few days. Can this 'play' even be filmed? It's not like we're swatting flies! Hehe..." The girl couldn't help but laugh as she spoke.
"You...who are you?" Shi Yu felt like countless stars were flashing before his eyes. He stammered as he asked, his eyes fixed on the girl's expression, hoping to find signs that she was lying.
"Hmph!" The girl rolled her eyes at him in dissatisfaction. "Stop pretending! I know you have so many older sisters and younger sisters, so naturally you wouldn't care about us little girls." Good heavens! Shi Yu turned pale. His rich experience told him that the girl's words were true, and he had really fallen into a terrible "nightmare." His chaotic mind was now filled with scenes of encountering beautiful women on the street. Except for the scenes in the "dream," everything was playing back in front of him. He clearly remembered that he and his car were "flying" in the sky.
"What's wrong with you? Don't scare me!" Seeing Shi Yu's sudden pale face and unfocused eyes, the girl hurriedly stepped forward and grabbed his large hand in alarm.
A moment later, Shi Yu, looking "weakly" at the girl, asked, "Who...who am I?" The pretty girl was slightly taken aback, but seeing that his pitiful appearance was genuine, her heart ached, and her eyes reddened as she said, "What's wrong with you? You are Bao Er Ye of the Rongguo Mansion, the second young master of the master, Jia Baoyu! I am Madam's maid, Jin Chuan!" "What?!" Upon hearing this, Shi Yu felt as if struck by lightning, his eyes widened, his lips agape, and the immense shock made his vision go black, causing him to faint again.
Good heavens! It's not fair! The unfortunate fellow, who had fainted, cried out in his dream, realizing he had become the most unmanly "Jia Baoyu" in history! No!
Chapter Six: Yuanyang and Jin Chuan. The "Baoyu" who had just recovered from his coma silently ushered Jin Chuan outside. The closed door remained silent for a long time, leaving the girl outside filled with suspicion. She repeatedly called out the Second Master's name softly until she heard a weak reply from inside. Only then did Jin Chuan's heart, which had been hanging in suspense, slowly settle.
Anxious, Jin Chuan paced back and forth outside the door, constantly bending down to listen for any sounds inside. She wanted to report to the Old Madam and Madam, but she feared that something terrible might happen to the usually dazed and confused Second Master Bao. She was caught in a dilemma, her heart filled with panic.
"Hey! What are you doing? Are you trying to steal something?" Just as Jin Chuan was at her wit's end, a savior descended from the sky. Yuan Yang had just stepped into the courtyard when she happened to see Jin Chuan pressed against the door.
"Sister, you've come at the perfect time!" Jin Chuan hurried to Yuan Yang's side, who was tall and elegant with delicate, chiseled features. "Second Master has woken up, but he's acting dazed and confused. He doesn't even remember who he is!" Although both were maids in the Jia family, Yuan Yang was clearly more courageous. "Good sister, what are you panicking about? You know what kind of person our Second Master Bao is! He's already half-mad all the time. Now that he's just recovered from a serious illness, it's not surprising that he says some crazy things and does some silly things. I would be surprised if he were perfectly normal, hee hee." "Heh...!" Seeing Yuanyang's nonchalant attitude and light laughter, Jin Chuan, who had witnessed Baoyu's change, said urgently, "No, this time it's different!" "Look how anxious you are!" Yuanyang said, noticing Jin Chuan's red eyes and tear stains. "The old lady has already asked the monks at the temple. They said it's like an immortal has descended to earth, a divine being has appeared! They want Second Master and Second Mistress to stay in their room and rest quietly for thirty-three days. The strange illness will naturally be cured then! Furthermore, the monks also said that no one is allowed to disturb them during this time; you are the only one allowed to quietly serve them their daily needs." Seeing Jin Chuan'er's delighted expression, Yuanyang, having finished explaining her purpose, couldn't resist teasing her, saying, "Now you can rest assured! I don't know what's so good about this Second Master, he's just a pretty face!" Yuanyang paused slightly, her gaze sweeping over Jin Chuan'er with suspicion, "Good sister, have you fallen for our good-for-nothing Second Master?" Jin Chuan'er's face flushed red at these words, and her slender hand suddenly scratched at Yuanyang's armpit, "What are you saying!? I just think that although the Second Master is a bit strange, he treats us servants very well. I'm a servant, of course..." "We must do our best to take care of our master, especially since Second Master is such an approachable and kind master." "Yes, that's the only redeeming quality of our Second Master," Yuanyang sighed with deep feeling, dodging Jin Chuan'er's "attacks." "It's a pity he's just a 'powder boy' who only knows about cosmetics. If only he were a little more ambitious!" "From what you're saying, sister, does that mean you'd like him if Second Master Bao became a little more generous?!" Jin Chuan'er lightly ran her fingers across Yuanyang's face, making her blush instantly.
The two sisters momentarily forgot about the patient in the room and began to laugh and joke freely in the courtyard.
Shi Yu sat blankly in front of the mirror, oblivious to the sounds of laughter outside.
Looking at the clear face of a seventeen or eighteen-year-old in the mirror, he couldn't accept it for a moment. The excessive stimulation caused him to sit silently and motionless, his whole being heartbroken.
His once handsome face vanished, replaced by a face in the mirror that he couldn't accept—though still possessing star-like eyes and a jade-like face, strikingly handsome, the obvious lipstick on his lips and the dark, painted eyebrows, and even more unbearable, the "horrible" layer of rouge and powder on his face, Good heavens! Was this some kind of transvestite?!
Upon seeing this, Shi Yu's weak body swayed, almost collapsing to the ground.
"Second Master!" Yuanyang had already left, and the loyal Jin Chuan'er called softly again from outside the door.
The girl's sweet voice startled the grieving man, and ignoring the aching in his legs, he rushed to the door.
With a creak, the door swung open, and a disheveled "Baoyu" appeared before Jin Chuan'er. "Water! I need water to wash my face! Hurry!" "Second Master, you can't come out!" Jin Chuan'er hurriedly helped him back to bed. "Wait here, I'll fetch you water right away!" A basin of clear water washed away Shi Yu's three thousand worries. Looking at his pale but "normal" face in the mirror, he smiled happily.
Looking at the beautiful girl standing beside him, Shi Yu said happily, "Miss, thank you!" Seeing the Second Master's cheerful expression, Jin Chuan'er was also delighted. "Second Master, why are you talking nonsense again? I'm a maid, not a young lady! If Madam hears this, she'll skin me alive!" Shi Yu was slightly taken aback, only then remembering that he was now "Jia Baoyu." His mind was filled with countless thoughts, and he didn't know how to respond.
"I'll serve you in the outer room. The old lady said no one is allowed to disturb you for the next thirty-three days, so don't call me unless it's absolutely necessary!" Jin Chuan'er's teasing words were barely finished when her charming figure, carrying a basin of water, had already left the room.
Shi Yu, having been "tricked," secretly sighed with self-satisfaction. This "Jia Baoyu" was truly approachable; even the little maid wasn't afraid of him! But that was fine! After his initial panic, this incredibly adaptable fellow's amorous "habits" began to surface, and he couldn't help but fall into reverie.
Being Jia Baoyu wasn't ideal, but the "Grand View Garden" was a man's dream paradise! Hehe… It's a pity I didn't like classical Chinese literature back then and hadn't read *Dream of the Red Chamber* carefully. I only vaguely knew that its ending was quite tragic; the "beauties" either died violently or met tragic ends, leaving readers with tears of sympathy.
Right, wasn't this Jin Chuan'er the one who drowned herself in the well?! What a pity! It's all that "cowardly" Jia Baoyu's fault. After causing such a disaster, he only knew how to run away, leading to the tragic death of the beauty.
No! Shi Yu's heart trembled slightly. Wasn't he "Jia Baoyu" himself?! Thinking of this, he suddenly became radiant. Since Heaven had sent him back six hundred years, he, the "fake" Baoyu, would definitely rewrite the tragic fate of these "Dream of the Red Chamber" women!
"Ha, ha... Peerless beauties, the 'fake Baoyu' has come to save you! Quickly throw yourself into my arms!" The "daydreaming" fellow laughed silently in his heart. "From now on, I am no longer Shi Yu, but the 'fake' Baoyu!" Chapter Seven: Lonely Man and Woman. Baoyu's anxiety turned into excitement. His mind relaxed, and only now did he realize how weak his new body was. A wave of drowsiness washed over him. He staggered to the bedside, slumped down, and lay back down, falling fast asleep.
A smile played on the lips of the man in his sweet dream, a blend of "Shi Yu's" wickedness and "Bao Yu's" innocence, brimming with alluring charm. In his hazy state, he unconsciously embraced the still-unconscious "Second Madam," his restless hands habitually roaming, finally slipping inside her clothes like an experienced horse, his warm palms lingering on her smooth, soft, firm breasts, unmoving for a long time.
Unaware of the two patients' presence, the "Spiritual Jade" hanging high above the bed curtains once more emitted a faint glow. Wisps of black energy emanated from the two bodies enveloped in this light, seemingly possessed by a spirit, darting left and right within the glow before vanishing with a "squeak." With the complete disappearance of the "strange" black energy, the jade ceased its magical glow, reverting to its ordinary, translucent state.
At that very instant, in a nunnery on the outskirts of the capital, an old woman with a sinister face let out a bloodcurdling scream and collapsed to the ground.
"Master, what's wrong?" Several nuns standing nearby rushed forward to help her up.
"A powerful being has broken my demonic possession spell! You must quickly take me away from the capital and hide for a while, otherwise, if the one who broke the spell finds their way here, we will all be killed!" The old woman, severely injured, had a look of utter terror on her wrinkled face.
Overnight, the nunnery vanished without a trace, and the nun, Granny Ma, never appeared in the capital again.
The sun sank in the west, and the sky was filled with beautiful red clouds.
Wang Xifeng, with her voluptuous figure and captivating beauty, trembled slightly as she slowly opened her alluring phoenix eyes. With a look of astonishment, she surveyed her surroundings. Though seemingly insane, she hadn't truly lost consciousness; she simply couldn't control her limbs, watching helplessly as she performed unbelievable actions. It wasn't until Baoyu suddenly burst from the room, his "Spirit Jade" emitting a truly magical, multicolored light, that Fengjie truly fainted.
A slight, uncomfortable pressure came from her chest, and Fengjie looked down.
"Ah!" A scream escaped her lips. The usually fierce Fengjie was now extremely weak, her voice barely audible, so faint that even Jin Chuan, guarding the door, couldn't hear it.
She saw that her bodice was half-undone, and Baoyu's large hand was tightly gripping her breast, even more infuriatingly, his fingers were tightly pinching the bright red nipple.
The beautiful young woman's pale face flushed crimson in an instant. Ignoring the stinging pain in her body, she struggled to push away Baoyu's lecherous hand. Her eyes blazed with fury as she turned to glare at the sleeping Baoyu beside her. Though fierce and unruly, she was a woman of virtue, not a promiscuous woman, and could not tolerate any lecherous man, not even the old lady's darling—Jia Baoyu!
Baoyu, now "washed of his makeup," was in a sweet dream. His captivating smile made the beautiful young woman's raised hand pause slightly. Baoyu's unadorned face was completely unfamiliar to her, and she had never seen his charming smile, a blend of wickedness and innocence, before. Fengjie couldn't help but secretly think to herself, "I never imagined Baoyu could be so handsome and charming!" Amidst her turbulent thoughts, her powerful hand moved swiftly and resolutely, striking Baoyu's cheek.
With a sharp "smack," a bright red five-finger mark appeared on Baoyu's rosy face, waking him from his sleep.
Fengjie, still recovering from a serious illness, had overexerted herself, letting out a cry of pain and falling back onto the bed. Her weak body couldn't move, her eyes glaring fiercely at the lecherous man who had just opened his eyes.
"Sister Feng, why did you hit me?" Baoyu had already learned from Jin Chuan'er that the beautiful woman beside him was the current head of the Rongguo Mansion, "Second Mistress," and, determined to become a "fake Baoyu," he had begun to integrate into "Jia Baoyu's" life.
"You...you..." Seeing Baoyu's innocent expression, Fengjie's face flushed red, and her anger surged even more, her body trembling with rage.
"What's wrong?" Still not understanding, the young man hurriedly bent down to examine her, gazing with concern at the beauty's contorted face.
The beautiful woman, having misunderstood Baoyu's intentions, was startled. Thinking he harbored ill intentions, she hastily increased her strength and retreated sharply. "Don't come any closer, or I'll call for help!" Unexpectedly, with this movement, her not-yet-fully-fastened robe opened again, revealing her full, smooth breasts.
Seeing this "beautiful sight," Baoyu's heart stirred slightly. He also realized what had happened and hurriedly suppressed the surging passion within him. "Sister Feng, don't misunderstand! I was asleep just now, I didn't do anything!" Baoyu sincerely explained to the beautiful woman, retreating further and turning his head to look away to show his innocence. But the alluring breasts he had just seen were firmly etched into his mind, unforgettable in his dreams.
Embarrassed, Fengjie suddenly found herself with renewed strength, frantically fastening her clothes. Her eyes, filled with doubt, turned to Baoyu. "Are you telling the truth?!" A fleeting image of Baoyu's innocent yet slightly mischievous smile as he slept flashed through her mind. She couldn't help but wonder if he really was asleep and had unintentionally "taken liberties" with her!
The beautiful young woman, recalling the shameful scene of Baoyu's large hand tightly gripping her breasts, felt her still-turbulent heart surge with renewed turmoil, though her initial anger had subsided into overwhelming embarrassment. "Heavens!
What am I thinking?!" Fengjie's heart skipped a beat, filled with self-reproach.
"Sister Feng, every word I say is true. If it's a lie, may 'Jia Baoyu' be struck by lightning and die a horrible death!" Baoyu swore without hesitation, pointing to the heavens. But this seemingly righteous fellow was secretly chuckling to himself, "Sorry, Jia Baoyu, you're already dead anyway, you won't mind saying this, right?"
"Alright, I believe you!" The ancients always valued oaths, and seeing Baoyu make such a solemn vow, Fengjie naturally believed him. She had no idea of the hidden meaning in his words, much less that this "Baoyu" came from a future world of hypocrisy where oaths were commonplace.
"Thank you, sister!" Baoyu, filled with gratitude, excitedly grabbed the beautiful young woman's smooth hand, expressing his joy, while secretly marveling at its smoothness and comfort. Unable
to break free, Fengjie could only let him knead her hand. Because of the previous "misunderstanding," and seeing Baoyu's excited expression, she naturally wouldn't guess the "rascal's" lecherous intentions.
Baoyu meticulously recounted the miraculous changes that had occurred since their illness to the beautiful young woman. Throughout the process, he deliberately forgot to release Fengjie's hand. Whether attracted by the incredible "miracle" or simply out of habit, Fengjie didn't try to break free from the "cunning lecher's" grasp.
Both were recovering from serious illnesses and were extremely weak. Coupled with the old lady's orders, after their conversation, they were exhausted and could only lie down fully clothed, falling into a deep sleep.
The "sleeping" man's large hand, of course, "unconsciously" slipped inside the beautiful young woman's clothes again.
Chapter Eight: Baoyu's Metamorphosis. Black and white alternated, the moon hid and the sun rose. Playful sunlight slipped in through the window cracks, warmly "caressing" the two people in sweet dreams on the bed.
"Ah!" The beautiful young woman had just opened her eyes when she saw the large hand tightly gripping her breasts again, and couldn't help but exclaim. "
Sister Feng, I'm sorry! I just can't break my bad habit of moving around in my sleep!" At the same time, Baoyu, who had also woken up, hurriedly withdrew his hand, apologizing to Sister Feng with a "sincere" expression.
"You..." Sister Feng's face flushed red with embarrassment. Fate was playing tricks on her; she didn't know whether she should scold Baoyu again.
Fengjie, being the shrewd and capable "Second Madam Feng," quickly regained her composure and said in a solemn and stern tone, "Brother Bao, I won't blame you for an unintentional mistake, but if you intend to be frivolous or harbor ill intentions, I will not let you off easily! You are not allowed to tell anyone about this, understand?" An invisible authority emanated from Fengjie's face, sharp and intimidating.
Upon hearing this, Baoyu once again swore an oath to the heavens, of course, the punishment being directed at the deceased "Jia Baoyu"; Fengjie's authority had no effect on him, who came from the 21st century, but instead further aroused his desire to conquer.
"From today onwards, I will sleep on the floor, and you will sleep on the bed. We will have nothing to do with each other." At this moment, Fengjie used the title "sister-in-law" to remind Baoyu of the relationship between the two. Since they could not leave the room, they had no choice but to separate their schedules.
"No!" Baoyu shouted, stopping her. Only when the beautiful young woman's eyes hardened did he give his reason: "The ground is cold, and you, sister-in-law, are still recovering from your illness. Your body is weak and cannot withstand it. If the cold enters your body, it will be terrible. I am a man, with a strong body. I'll sleep on the floor!" Before he finished speaking, Baoyu picked up the bedding and was about to get out of bed.
Fengjie looked at Baoyu in surprise, a sense of unfamiliarity flashing through her heart. Was this still the same muddle-headed, cowardly, and incompetent "young master" of the past?! Seeing Baoyu about to get out of bed, she hurriedly stopped him: "Brother Bao, you are also still recovering from your illness. How can you withstand the cold? Forget it!
Let's each sleep on one side!" After a moment of internal struggle, Baoyu finally nodded in agreement to the beautiful young woman's suggestion. Contrary to his sincere appearance, a phantom Baoyu with two horns on his head was currently in his mind. He raised two fingers, a sly smile on his face, "Yes, I succeeded!" The voices from inside the room startled Jin Chuan, who was guarding the door. The young woman gracefully pushed open the door, carrying a tray with a large porcelain bowl and two crystal-clear jade bowls. "Second Master Bao, Second Mistress, this is ginseng soup that Aunt Feng made for you. It was delivered early this morning. I didn't dare disturb you, so I kept it warm on the stove." Facing "Second Mistress Feng," Jin Chuan dared not be presumptuous. Her humble demeanor made Baoyu, who had witnessed her lively side, chuckle.
"Bring it here!" Although Feng Jie's voice was weak and lacked strength, her words exuded an undeniable air of nobility.
"Wait! What's stewed in this soup?" Baoyu asked, drawing puzzled looks from the two women.
"A hundred-year-old wild ginseng, it's very nourishing, is there a problem?" Jin Chuan'er wasn't so honest with Bao Yu.
Upon hearing this, Baoyu's expression changed, and he repeatedly said, "I can't eat this! I can't eat this!" Seeing the disbelieving looks on Fengjie and Jinchuan'er's faces, he explained in detail, "Our bodies are too weak right now, how dare we eat such nourishing food? Don't you know that 'the weak cannot tolerate nourishment'?! Do you two understand?" "Oh!" The two girls exclaimed in unison. Before Baoyu's face could even show any joy, they simultaneously "attacked" the smug guy. "I don't understand!" Baoyu felt his own illusory figure appear before his eyes. With a "bang," the illusory figure fell heavily to the ground, and a circle of sparkling stars appeared above his head. He couldn't believe that they didn't understand such a simple truth that everyone in the 21st century knew!
Helpless, he stretched out his finger and patiently began his "outlandish theory," "Our ailing bodies are like a bent finger. If you apply force slowly, you can successfully straighten it. But if you apply too much force, like this," Baoyu said, making a sudden, forceful movement, "it will backfire and definitely break in two! Do you understand now?" "Yes!" The two clever girls understood his meaning this time, but they were still not entirely convinced. Jin Chuan'er even asked directly, "Second Master, I don't know if what you're saying is true or false. What about the ginseng soup?" "I read it in a medical book. If you don't believe me, you can ask a doctor—no, a physician!" The one who'd let it slip quickly tried to divert their attention, "Just drink the ginseng soup quietly. It wouldn't be good if Aunt Zhao misunderstood!" "Brother Bao, when did you become so considerate of people like Aunt Zhao?!" Fengjie couldn't help but ask in surprise. Bao Yu's behavior was so different from before, but this change was a great thing. The old lady would be so happy! The beautiful young woman's thoughts drifted.
"Hehe!" Bao Yu didn't know how to answer, so he just chuckled foolishly to get away with it.
Seeing his childlike innocence, the two women laughed out loud in unison. It seemed that Second Master Bao hadn't completely transformed yet! Seeing his silly appearance now, they no longer felt pity or disgust, but rather a greater sense of affection.
"Jin Chuan'er, make us some congee. Just add some red dates or other common tonics to replenish qi and blood!" Bao Yu's gentle words reached the girl's ears, and for some reason, her heart fluttered, and a blush inexplicably rose on her delicate face.
Panicked and flustered, Jin Chuan'er turned and left hastily, forgetting even to take the ginseng soup from the table. The seasoned "womanizer," seeing this, couldn't help but feel a surge of joy; it seemed his "success" was just around the corner!
Once again, only the two lying in the room remained, facing each other. The previous "ambiguous" scene left them both feeling incredibly awkward and speechless. In the silent solitude, ripples of unease quietly spread.
Feng Jie, forcing herself to regain her composure, broke the ambiguity of the room. "Brother Bao, why haven't I seen you read any medical books? Didn't you always hate those dry and boring things?" The beautiful woman's charming phoenix eyes gazed at Bao Yu with a smile.
"I only read it recently. I was afraid everyone would laugh at me, so I read it secretly!" Baoyu chuckled again, scratching his head sheepishly, and casually covered up his mistake without hesitation.
Chapter Nine: The Fiery Sister Feng. Seeing his "silly" appearance, Sister Feng also laughed happily. The two smiled at each other in unison, and the previous unpleasantness and embarrassment vanished in the laughter. The uncle and sister-in-law chatted happily. Whenever they encountered something they didn't know, Baoyu would use his illness as an excuse to forget it. Instead, he learned a lot of interesting stories about "Jia Baoyu" from the beautiful woman.
And from time to time, he would utter some extremely commonplace remarks in the 21st century, which surprised and impressed Sister Feng. After thinking about it, she felt that it made a lot of sense and regarded it as brilliant. She had already completely forgotten the Baoyu of the past, and only this "strange" Brother Bao in front of her remained!
Happy times always pass in the blink of an eye, and half an hour had passed without them realizing it.
Jin Chuan'er entered carrying a steaming bowl of congee. The two, who hadn't eaten in a long time, smelled the aroma and their stomachs rumbled, saliva gushing out.
Bao Yu, whose body had mostly recovered, leaped out of bed, eagerly taking the bowl and drinking the scalding porridge in large gulps. Feng Jie, however, was weak and her limbs ached, making it difficult for her to even get up, so she had to wait for Jin Chuan'er to feed her.
Because it was an ordinary room, and the incident had happened so suddenly, there wasn't enough soft furniture for Feng Jie to lean against. Jin Chuan'er had to sit behind Feng Jie so she could lean on her, laboriously feeding her the hot congee.
"Jin Chuan'er, you just support Feng Jie, I'll feed her!" Bao Yu said, putting down his jade bowl and snatching the spoon from the girl's hand.
"Second Master, you're not good at serving people, give it back to me!" Jin Chuan'er didn't believe that Bao Yu, who only knew how to eat, drink, and be merry, could be of any help. Even Feng Jie, who
had begun to change her opinion of him, just smiled and thought he was just acting on a whim. Bao Yu didn't argue. He took the bowl of porridge, gently scooped up half a spoonful of porridge, and seeing the steam rising from it, he brought it to his lips and gently blew on it, looking extremely careful and serious, as if he were performing a great and earth-shattering feat.
"Sister Feng, it's not too hot anymore, come and eat!" Bao Yu said as he brought the spoon to Feng Jie's lips.
Her rosy lips parted slightly, and Feng Jie blankly accepted Bao Yu's instructions. Even after finishing the bowl of porridge, the beautiful young woman was still in shock. Jin Chuan'er behind her was also staring at Bao Yu in a daze. She had never imagined that the wealthy and highly respected Second Master Bao would have such a thoughtful and considerate "skill"!
As Fengjie swallowed the plain porridge without tasting it, memories of her past illnesses flashed before her eyes. Unable to attend to her husband, Jia Lian, he would use the excuse of staying out all night to indulge in pleasure. Fortunately, Ping'er and the maids and servants were there to care for her. At the time, she had only felt a slight resentment, but now, recalling it, she felt only heartache and self-pity.
Thinking of this, and then seeing Baoyu's tender care, Fengjie felt a pang of sadness, a surge of emotion welling up inside her, rushing to her eyes.
"Sister Feng, what's wrong? Did you burn yourself?" Baoyu, seeing the beautiful woman's eyes suddenly red and brimming with tears, asked with surprise and deep concern.
"Nothing. I want to rest for a while," Fengjie replied without further explanation, gesturing for Jin Chuan to put her down. Her heart pounding, she closed her eyes, feigning sleep, lying on her side with her back to the two men.
"Second Master, you haven't finished your porridge yet. Drink it quickly, or it'll get cold!" Jin Chuan handed Bao Yu the bowl of porridge he had only half-finished, her gentle voice unconsciously revealing a hint of affection. The
quick-witted young man was overjoyed. He reached out and deliberately grasped the girl's slender fingers. Jin Chuan only trembled instinctively, then blushed, her eyes lowered, allowing Bao Yu to caress the back of her hand.
"Jin Chuan, I'll ask Madam to let you come to my room, okay?" Bao Yu placed the porridge bowl on the table, his large hand gently embracing the girl's soft, smooth waist, his seductive whisper echoing in Jin Chuan's ear.
"Mmm!" The girl, both shy and happy, blushed deeply, her earlobes turning red, and she nodded almost imperceptibly, her voice as soft as a mosquito's buzz in agreement with Bao Yu's words.
Seeing the captivating sight of the young girl's budding romance so close to him, Baoyu's heart burned with an irresistible passion. He slowly, almost bewitched, moved to kiss her delicate earlobe. Just as his
burning lips touched her earlobe, she leaped up like a startled deer, abruptly breaking free from his embrace. Her lithe, youthful body fled towards the door.
Reaching the doorway, Jin Chuan turned back with a shy smile, saying to the stunned Baoyu, "Second Master, what's the rush? What's meant to be will be. Jin Chuan isn't fickle; don't worry!" Before she finished speaking, the brave girl quickened her pace and ran away.
Baoyu stood there for a long time, finally withdrawing his dazed gaze. He glanced one last time in the direction Jin Chuan had disappeared, then turned and looked deeply at the reclining Feng Jie, a myriad of emotions welling up within him.
A pure and innocent pretty young girl, a dignified and graceful young woman who was not "tempted" by him—good heavens! There really are such "treasures" in this world! He had been searching for them for years in the 21st century, experiencing countless romantic encounters but to no avail. Just when he had given up hope on this hypocritical and decadent world, he never imagined that he would see the purity and beauty of humanity six hundred years ago!
Baoyu cried out to the heavens in his heart, "Thank you, God! I will definitely cherish and protect these good women with their tragic fates!" Time passed quietly, and ten days and nights had passed in the blink of an eye. As Baoyu and Fengjie's health gradually improved, their relationship was also undergoing subtle changes.
Every morning, as soon as Fengjie woke up, she would find Baoyu's restless hands inevitably resting on her sensitive areas. The beautiful young woman, initially angrily rebuking him, then quietly pushing him away, and now silently enduring it, perhaps out of habit, or perhaps out of helplessness and reluctance to hurt Baoyu's "innocent" heart, suddenly found herself unable to feel disgust or resistance to his "intimate" touch.
Unbeknownst to her, the beautiful woman's rational defenses were being gradually eroded by the "rogue Baoyu."
The experienced Baoyu steadily advanced his "womanizing plan," but his progress was becoming increasingly agitated. As he gradually won the beauty's heart, his own genuine feelings were slowly sinking. Knowing Fengjie's true identity, he knew this was a hopeless, bitter love. When he could no longer remain indifferent as he had in modern times, he involuntarily placed heavy shackles on himself.
Chapter Ten: Teasing the Beautiful Woman "You little rascal!" As always, when Fengjie opened her hazy eyes, she felt Baoyu's large hand on her firm breasts. She playfully pinched his straight nose before calmly pushing his hand away. Unexpectedly,
Baoyu woke up at that moment and, seeing this, deliberately tightened his grip, squeezing hard before letting go. This prompted the beauty to chase after him and his insincere pleas for mercy.
"Second Master, wash your face!" Jin Chuan'er pushed open the door, already used to their playful antics. She didn't think much of it; Baoyu had been used to joking around with all the sisters and cousins in the Jia household since childhood. If he were to behave properly, people would suspect he was ill!
"Jin Chuan'er, go tell the Old Ancestor today that Second Master and I have recovered. Can we return to the manor now?" Feng Jie, having regained her composure, revealed a hint of panic in her eyes. Her heart kept reminding herself, "We can't go on like this. Once we step out of this door, everything will naturally return to normal." "Second Madam, I already told the Old Madam and Madam yesterday. They both said that you and Second Master have a disease caused by evil spirits, and you must follow the high monk's instructions, not missing a single day of the thirty-three days!" Although Bao Yu was surrounded by beautiful women every day, he felt a little depressed after a while. Besides, he also longed to see Lin Daiyu, as beautiful as Xi Shi reborn, Xue Baochai, a beauty of unparalleled grace, and of course, the other beauties of the "Dream of the Red Chamber"! So, she approached Jin Chuan'er with a playful laugh, "Sister Chuan'er, could you let me out for a little while? I promise, just a little while!" "No, what if you really fall for some evil spirit again?!" Since that day she bravely revealed her true feelings, the girl had become even more caring and tender towards Bao Yu, but she also kept a close watch on him, never letting her guard down.
"Sigh!" Bao Yu sighed deeply, dejectedly lying back on the bed. The cunning fellow deliberately lay down in an ideal spot, his large hand reaching out to an angle where Jin Chuan'er couldn't see, pretending to accidentally lightly touch Feng Jie's soft waist.
The beauty's delicate body trembled, trying hard to maintain a calm expression so that the maid wouldn't notice anything amiss; but inside, her heart trembled incessantly, the pleasure of breaking taboos felt all the more real and exciting in front of others.
Feng Jie was no pushover; taking advantage of the moment Jin Chuan'er turned around, her slender fingers instantly transformed into "poisonous claws," viciously planting a string of bright red marks on Bao Yu's arm!
"Ouch!" Caught off guard, Baoyu cried out in pain. When Jin Chuan turned around, Fengjie was already sitting upright, feigning concern as she asked, "Brother Bao, what's wrong?" Faced with the two women's "concerned" gazes, he could only force a smile and say, "Nothing! I just got bitten by a pretty female mosquito." "You're talking nonsense again! Can mosquitoes distinguish between beauty and ugliness, or male and female?!" Jin Chuan burst into laughter, her laughter growing louder and louder until she had to hold onto the edge of the table to steady herself.
Fengjie, however, was both angry and amused, her jade-like hand unconsciously forming a claw shape, ready to "bite" Baoyu again at any moment.
"You just don't understand," Baoyu said, shaking his head with feigned profundity. "You know, birds of a feather flock together. I, Jia Baoyu, am naturally handsome and extraordinary. Those ugly mosquitoes would be ashamed of themselves and have to retreat. So, the ones that bite me are naturally beautiful mosquitoes!" "What nonsense! Then tell me about 'male and female'!" Jin Chuan'er, still unaware of the subtle meaning between the two, unintentionally joined in Baoyu's "teasing" of Fengjie.
The beauties in the scene couldn't help but widen their eyes, wondering what "great truth" Baoyu, who was "different from the past," would utter next.
Baoyu chuckled, his meaningful gaze making Fengjie's heart flutter. "The ancients said: Yin and Yang attract each other, a universal principle. So, the ones that bite me are naturally female, and the males will bite you!" The two women burst into laughter at the same time, even the teased Fengjie happily forgetting to "retaliate" against the rogue.
Time flies like an arrow, never to return. After more than ten days, both had fully recovered, but their mood grew increasingly gloomy.
Fengjie lay listlessly on her side on the bed, her mind in turmoil, torn between her inner turmoil and her own conscience. With her convalescence drawing to a close, an endless bitterness filled her heart. During this time, the beautiful woman constantly reminded herself that she was a married woman, yet Baoyu's smile, a mixture of innocence and wickedness, lingered longer and longer in her heart. The rest of the time, she could only picture the heartless face of her husband, Jia Lian, as he indulged in debauchery and pleasure-seeking.
Thinking of this, a hint of resentment flickered in Fengjie's eyes. She secretly resolved that once she left, she must thoroughly question Ping'er about his whereabouts during this period.
"Sister Feng, what are you thinking about?" Bao Yu's caring words echoed in the beauty's ears. He naturally embraced the beautiful young woman from behind, his hands slipping under her armpits, gently kneading and squeezing her soft, firm, full breasts.
The beauty did not resist Bao Yu's tender caresses. Although they hadn't spoken openly during this time, they could see deep affection in each other's eyes. In this special space where only the two of them existed, Feng Jie subconsciously regarded Bao Yu as her most intimate lover, finding a reason for her indulgence!
She silently accepted Bao Yu's open flirting, but whenever his large hands slid towards her secret place, she always skillfully dodged.
Although Bao Yu's heart was burning with passion, he truly loved Feng Jie, so he did not force her. Both of them restrained the urge to kiss each other. Their hearts, already opened, knew that once their lips touched, their desires would merge, and the overwhelming tide of passion would break through the final barrier. Moral constraints prevented Fengjie from crossing the line; allowing Baoyu to freely touch her was already her absolute limit.
"Let me tell you a joke to cheer you up, okay?" Baoyu's hot breath tickled Fengjie's ear, stirring endless ripples in her heart.
"No need, I'm quite comfortable lying here." Fengjie shifted her body, nestling in Baoyu's arms.
The two star-crossed lovers, destined to be apart, embraced in silence, quietly enjoying the warm tranquility. Ambiguous feelings, like countless threads, echoed in the small space, weaving a perfect web of love that gradually enveloped them. But when would this "cocoon of love" emerge as butterflies, fluttering freely among the birds and flowers?
Chapter Eleven: The Last Line of Defense. Once the seed of true love is sown in the heart, it will surely sprout and blossom. Sister Feng painstakingly guards that last line of defense, and the shackles of worldly conventions are being broken inch by inch by the true love from the heart. The beautiful young woman's heart is constantly falling for her.
For days, Fengjie had been struggling with this agonizing choice. Her slender fingers gently traced across Baoyu's handsome face as she weakly made her last stand. "Brother Bao, if you truly love me, you mustn't let your sister-in-law be branded a harlot. Promise me!" Baoyu, who was lightly caressing the beautiful young woman's swollen, bright red nipples, paused, a helpless, bitter smile appearing on his face. He sighed inwardly, "Heavens! Fengjie has actually entrusted the decision to me, this lecherous wolf with ulterior motives! What am I to do?!
" "Never mind, just 'eat' her! Isn't that what I've always done?" "No, that would hurt Fengjie. This is my first true love!" Baoyu was torn between his desires and his true feelings, locked in a final battle.
Fengjie's alluring phoenix eyes met Baoyu's shifting thoughts. The pleading in her eyes struck him like a hammer blow, instantly extinguishing his lustful desire. A torrent of genuine affection welled up in his eyes, pouring into Fengjie's gaze and stirring boundless waves within her.
"Sister Feng, rest assured, as long as you don't unlock my heart, I will remain your brother Bao!" Baoyu solemnly vowed.
"Aww!" Hearing this, Fengjie's eyes brimmed with tears, and she leaped into Baoyu's arms like a swallow returning to its nest.
A self-deprecating smile appeared on Baoyu's lips. He never imagined he would be a "gentleman" like this!
He gently embraced the beautiful woman, patting her smooth shoulders and back to comfort her.
He only regretted that they had met before she was married! Fengjie wept uncontrollably, releasing the pent-up bitterness in her heart, letting out endless, bitter tears.
The two, lost in their own thoughts, outwardly resumed their previous uncle-in-law and sister-in-law relationship, much to the surprise of Jin Chuan, who served them meals. Jin Chuan assumed the two had quarreled and became even more careful, fearing she might anger "Second Mistress Feng" and cause collateral damage.
Baoyu, having put aside his emotions, lay flat on the bed, closing his eyes to rest. He finally had time to carefully consider his "strange" experience.
Who was that woman in white, so beautiful she seemed like a celestial being? Was she a fairy, or a ghost? Why did he feel a sense of familiarity? It shouldn't be like this! A beauty of such caliber would be unforgettable to anyone who saw her once! Why couldn't he remember where he had seen her before?
Baoyu's heart was filled with endless doubts. His thoughts raced as he considered his current situation. Now that he was a "fake" Baoyu, how should he face the rest of his life?
He certainly wouldn't live the life of the original "Jia Baoyu." Recalling the rouge and powder on his face at the beginning, the "fake" Baoyu involuntarily shuddered, feeling a wave of nausea. However, he would certainly take a good look at his sisters and cousins, hehe…
Lost in thought, Baoyu smiled and unknowingly drifted off to sleep. Beside him, Fengjie felt a great weight lifted from her heart, but a sense of relief mingled with a lingering sense of loss, a deep melancholy.
The beautiful woman, her heart filled with complex emotions, looked up at the "Spirit Jade" hanging high above the bed curtains. With mixed feelings, she glared "resentfully" at the jade. It was all this jade's fault! Who told it to be able to communicate with spirits, thus trapping her and Baoyu together, forging this fruitless, bitter love affair? The
"Spirit Jade," deeply "blamed," swayed gently in the breeze, as if protesting its innocence and grievance.
Baoyu and Fengjie were deeply in love, yet their mortal eyes couldn't see the miraculous changes happening around them.
Whenever Baoyu fell asleep, the "Spirit Jade" would emit a five-colored glow invisible to the naked eye, enveloping his body from head to toe. The glow entered his body through his acupoints, eventually converging into a warm current that slowly circulated within his meridians. This miraculous heat constantly transformed his body, causing profound changes without his awareness, laying a solid foundation for his future brilliant life.
Because they were together day and night, Fengjie, despite being so close, didn't notice the daily changes in Baoyu. His originally delicate aura was gradually transforming into a graceful and ethereal strength, revealing his undeniable masculine charm! Though it was the same face, the difference was like heaven and earth; no wonder he easily captured the hearts of Fengjie and Jin Chuan!
"Second Master, the Old Madam has sent word that you and Second Mistress need to pay your respects to her!" Jin Chuan'er's clear voice rang out from outside the door.
"Time flies!" Bao Yu murmured to himself, gazing sadly at the rising sun, his heart filled with endless longing and reluctance.
Feng Jie's graceful body trembled slightly, her charming phoenix eyes instantly sparkling. Before Bao Yu could "wake up" from his sorrow, her rosy lips swiftly touched his lips, a light kiss like a dragonfly skimming the water, yet it contained the true feelings of a beautiful young woman.
Bao Yu was stunned by Feng Jie's sudden "attack," stunned and unsure how to react; Feng Jie, who had just stepped in and then retreated, took a deep breath, calming the turbulent emotions in her heart, "Brother Bao, let's go see the Old Madam!" With that, she took the lead and walked towards the door.
Watching the beauty's hurried figure, Baoyu, having missed his "opportunity," felt a pang of sorrow in his heart, and silent tears streamed down his face. He knew that his romance with Fengjie had ended with that kiss, becoming only a beautiful memory for both of them.
"Baoyu, hurry up, the old lady is waiting for you!" Jin Chuan'er urged him coquettishly, seeing him dawdling in the room.
Baoyu flicked his sleeve, wiping away not only the tears on his face but also the gloomy fog in his heart.
"Sister Feng, I won't give up! Because I am a 'fake' Baoyu, I will never let you die a tragic death like in 'Dream of the Red Chamber.' Let the shackles of the world go to hell!" Baoyu made an unwavering vow to the heavens in his heart.
Chapter Twelve: The Three Beauties of Spring After passing through four grand courtyards, Baoyu finally arrived at the old lady's residence. Though outwardly calm, he was inwardly amazed. What a magnificent and aristocratic family!
The maids and servants they encountered along the way were respectful and submissive to Fengjie, who was walking ahead, but they laughed and joked
freely with Baoyu, holding his hand and foot. The "fake" Baoyu, unaware of Jia Baoyu's usual behavior, could only feign ignorance and try to get away with it. "Baoyu, my son, come here quickly and let me see you!" Before Baoyu even stepped into the side hall where the old lady reserved for receiving relatives, Grandmother Jia, sitting on the kang (heated brick bed), excitedly called out loudly.
Baoyu was slightly startled, immediately realizing that Grandmother Jia was calling him, but he couldn't bring himself to act like a "daughter" like "Jia Baoyu." He stood there stunned, not knowing what to do! To be asked to rush into the old lady's arms and cry was more terrifying than a mountain of knives or a sea of fire!
"Grandmother, don't you love me anymore?" Fengjie, seeing the awkwardness in Baoyu's eyes, knew that his "temperament" had changed drastically. The beautiful young woman blurted out without thinking, defusing the awkward situation for her beloved.
As expected, Grandmother Jia shifted her gaze. "Look at Feng'er, everyone! Her mouth is still so sharp, even scolding this old lady! Alright, come here and let me see if you've lost weight!" Fengjie took the opportunity to snuggle up to Grandmother Jia, affectionately massaging her shoulders and back, making the old lady chuckle happily.
Yuanyang, who was standing behind Grandmother Jia, saw Baoyu standing blankly at the door, her lips slightly curled, and a hint of disdain flashed in her eyes. She thought to herself, "Jin Chuan said that Second Master has changed, but he's even worse than before, even more senile! I really don't know what Jin Chuan is thinking. I must give her a good talking to. Why did she fall for such a pretty face? She doesn't seem like a woman who covets wealth!"
"Baoyu, why don't you greet Grandmother!" A middle-aged woman sitting on the left urged Baoyu, her gentle eyes revealing affection, and her still charming face carrying a gratified smile.
This must be Lady Wang, the mother of "Jia Baoyu"! The "fake" Baoyu immediately recognized the woman's identity. As an orphan, he had never experienced the joys of family life. Now, suddenly, a mother appeared, and an unprecedented feeling of attachment and longing surged within him, swirling endlessly. Lady Wang's kind face unconsciously overlapped with the image of his mother he had fantasized about since childhood. A surging current of emotion quickly broke through his rational defenses, and Baoyu felt a blur before his eyes, rushing into a warm embrace.
A moment later, Baoyu, "awakening," found himself kneeling on the ground, his face buried deep in Lady Wang's waist and abdomen, his face wet, clearly from tears.
"You child, you're so grown up now, why do you still act like a child!" Lady Wang gently stroked her son's head, her words overflowing with affection. Facing the resurrected Baoyu, her eyes also reddened.
Half-lying in the arms of the "strange" woman, the "fake" Baoyu, after calming down, suddenly felt extremely awkward. He wasn't her real son! So intimately close, his cheek could clearly feel the plump skin of the middle-aged beauty. Wasn't he desecrating this dignified woman?! A sense of guilt arose in Baoyu's heart. Taking advantage of the situation, he left Wang Furen's embrace and knelt before Grandmother Jia.
"I've worried you, Grandmother!" Leaving Wang Furen's embrace, Baoyu felt an endless sense of loss. If only she really were his mother!
"Brother Bao, why are you so obedient today, even kneeling!" A sweet voice rang out behind Baoyu. Before the words had even finished, three graceful and charming figures entered, surrounded by a group of maids and servants.
Baoyu turned around, and with a "boom," his mind went blank as if struck by a heavy blow. Everything in the world collapsed instantly, leaving only the three women's exquisitely beautiful faces flashing before his eyes.
The teasing Tan Chun was tall and graceful, her eyes deep and clear like stars in the night sky; her elegant aura was ethereal, like drinking sweet dew, soothing and refreshing. Bao Yu secretly marveled, thinking that if this woman lived in the 21st century, she would surely be a sophisticated and beautiful woman.
"Bao Yu, get up quickly, the ground is cold." Ying Chun, a little older, had a voluptuous and alluring figure, her full face as smooth as jade, her curves subtly revealing a charm yet to blossom. The lustful man's heart burned with desire, his sharp eyes immediately recognizing her innate allure; once her heart opened, she would surely be an unparalleled beauty.
Finally, Xi Chun was the youngest, her slender body not yet fully developed. Although her face was beautiful, it was always frosty and expressionless, like an ice sculpture—a true ice beauty. Bao Yu felt slightly disappointed; he never liked this type of woman, finding them utterly uninteresting, so he didn't pay her much attention.
The icy maiden said nothing, but gently pulled Baoyu up. The boy, so close to her, felt a captivating fragrance permeate his heart, and his legs went weak, almost causing him to fall. "
Heavens! This is truly unexpected!" Baoyu roared inwardly. Why did Heaven favor the Jia family's daughters so much, bestowing such beauty upon the Jia family?! No wonder Jia Baoyu often said: "Women are pure and clear water, while men are foolish and filthy mud!"
Now he truly understood! Let this mud blend harmoniously with the clear water! Hehe… "Tanchun, where are your Sister Xue and Sister Lin?" Grandmother Jia, who usually adored clever and obedient girls, beamed with joy upon seeing the three sisters, feeling immensely gratified.
"Reporting to the old lady, Sister Xue had some family matters to attend to and returned home yesterday. Before leaving, she asked me to convey her regards to the old lady and madam," Tan Chun's elegant voice was gentle and melodious. "As for Sister Lin and Sister-in-law, they will arrive later." Upon hearing the names "Baochai" and "Daiyu," Baoyu's mind was filled with longing, imagining how stunningly beautiful and talented these two beauties, the queens of flowers, must be!
Just as he was lost in his reverie, the two peerless beauties, one tall and one short, entered everyone's field of vision.
Chapter Thirteen: Li Wan and Daiyu, mature beauties, were about the same age as Feng Jie, between twenty-six and twenty-seven. Their hair was styled in a high bun, and their prominent breasts, even in their simple, loose clothing, could not conceal them. Their rounded hips rippled with each step of their long, slender legs, creating alluring waves. Their delicate, smooth cheeks were perfectly complemented by their rosy lips, and their bright, watery eyes held a faint trace of melancholy. This did not diminish their captivating charm; rather, it added a touch of pitiful, graceful elegance.
Baoyu stared, inwardly exclaiming, "What an absolute beauty! Her charm rivals Feng Jie's, equally captivating!"
Li Wan, accustomed to her brother-in-law's dazed state, did not think much of it. The two had always had a good relationship; seeing him recover, the beauty smiled sincerely, and with a swift movement, a young woman appeared behind her.
In an instant, thunder and lightning raged in Baoyu's mind. He felt his heart tremble with the movement of the girl's delicate figure. Seeing her perfect, exquisite face flushed with a sickly blush from taking a few quick steps, and her exquisitely beautiful eyebrows furrowed slightly, Baoyu's heart shattered along with the pain in her eyes. He felt an endless bitterness and pain rising within him, as if he were experiencing the pain himself.
This was the "Xi Shi clutching her heart, a heartbreaking sight for all!" Endless sorrow and pity surfaced on Baoyu's face. He murmured to himself in a daze, "Indeed, 'a Lin Daiyu fell from the sky!'" "Brother Bao! You've seen Daiyu before, why are you bringing up those silly things again?!" Li Wan teased Baoyu with a hint of surprise, which drew a burst of laughter from everyone. Only the delicate and shy Daiyu lowered her head in embarrassment.
Grandmother Jia, who doted on her granddaughter Daiyu the most, beckoned to her and said, "Come here to me. You mustn't laugh at her anymore. If you want to laugh, laugh at Baoyu instead!" "Heh, heh..." Baoyu, instead of being annoyed, was delighted and said with a silly grin, "Of course, you can all laugh at me. We can't embarrass Lin Daiyu!" As soon as he said this, the "fake" Baoyu suddenly felt a jolt in his heart. He realized that he was becoming more and more like "Jia Baoyu." In a short while, he was repeatedly dazed and talking nonsense. He couldn't help but feel a chill in his heart and shivered. Heavens! Could he really become "Jia Baoyu"?! No, I must become the carefree and unrestrained "Shi Yu" again!
"Brother Bao, why don't you sit down next to Grandmother and let her take a good look at you!" Fengjie's complicated and thoughtful gaze flashed over Baoyu, not daring to linger for too long.
Having been separated from Baoyu for over a month, everyone felt an extra sense of warmth and familiarity. The hall was filled with the sounds of birdsong and the fragrance of blooming flowers.
Baoyu, seemingly oblivious, felt a sudden surge of happiness, spending the entire morning in a dazed and confused state.
The sun rose high, and time changed.
"Grandma, lunch is ready!" Yuanyang whispered in Grandmother Jia's ear, seeking her opinion.
"Alright, all of you stay and have lunch with this old lady," Grandmother Jia said, in high spirits, seeing that Baoyu and Fengjie were both safe and sound, and decided to join the feast.
As the wine flowed, the women sipped only lightly, while Baoyu, "a feast for the eyes," kept raising his cup, enjoying the slightly sweet and fragrant rice wine. By the time the banquet ended, he was unsteady on his feet, clearly intoxicated.
"This child, how did he get so drunk?" Seeing her unsteady gait, Lady Wang's plump face showed concern. "Jin Chuan, be careful when you take Bao Yu back to 'Yi Hong Yuan'!" "Madam, I'll go with Jin Chuan to take Second Master back!" Seeing the petite Jin Chuan struggling to support Bao Yu, Yuan Yang, who was like a sister to her, quickly stepped forward to help. The two women, each supporting one side of Bao Yu, disappeared from the group's sight.
"Yuan Yang is such a sensible girl, no wonder the Old Madam dotes on her so much!" Feng Jie withdrew her gaze from Bao Yu and forced a smile as she praised Yuan Yang.
"Yes! This girl is just too proud. I don't know what kind of good family to find for her!" Grandmother Jia sighed. Yuan Yang was already old, and the Old Madam had always treated her like her own granddaughter, kindly finding her several suitable families, but Yuan Yang rejected them all, saying she didn't care about money, only character! The old lady was at a loss and could only worry in silence.
Supported by the two women, Baoyu, while they weren't looking, secretly gleamed with a sly glint in his half-closed eyes. He chuckled to himself, "I'm a genius! This way I can easily find 'Yihong Courtyard'
and avoid giving myself away by mistaking someone for someone else. Anyway, I'm drunk; if they mistake me, they'll just think I'm seeing things!" Lost in his smug thoughts
, the smug young man tripped over a stone and stumbled into the arms of Yuanyang beside him. The beautiful Yuanyang, thinking Baoyu was deliberately trying to molest him, cried out, "Ah!" The clever girl feigned panic, pushing Baoyu to the ground with a swift movement.
"Are you hurt?" Jin Chuan, in a moment of panic, rolled her eyes at her best friend, then lovingly helped Baoyu up, carefully examining him for any injuries.
"It's nothing! I tripped and fell myself; it has nothing to do with Yuanyang." Baoyu smiled calmly, not angry at all. "Let's go!" Yuanyang felt a pang of guilt; it seemed she had truly misunderstood the Second Master! Grateful, she stepped forward to help Baoyu up again, and together with Jin Chuan, they sincerely served the Second Master.
Supported by Jin Chuan and Yuanyang, Baoyu headed towards the "Yihong Courtyard." The feigning drunkard closed his eyes slightly, using the corner of his eye to survey the path he was taking. He saw lush green trees, strange peaks and rocks, pavilions and towers, winding paths leading to secluded spots—a veritable paradise on earth.
The three walked onto a gravel path, flanked by lush greenery and fragrant flowers. At the end, they turned a corner and were greeted by a bamboo fence, its branches draped with vibrant spring vines. They strolled along the fence for a moment until an elegant archway came into view. Above the archway, the three large characters "Yihong Courtyard" stood out prominently. A pond rippled with clear water, and a few lotus blossoms swayed in the breeze.
Chapter Fourteen: First Visit to Yihong Courtyard "Second Master is back!" A gentle, joyful voice reached Baoyu's ears. "Drunk" and with his head bowed, he couldn't see the person's face, only hearing a series of cheerful footsteps coming from inside the room.
"Sister Xiren, I'm returning your Second Master to you!" Jin Chuan'er bid farewell to Yuanyang with a sweet laugh and left.
Baoyu felt himself fall into a soft embrace again, inhaling the delicate fragrance of a young woman. He was lost in thought, his mind wandering.
Several delicate hands, half-supporting and half-carrying, led Baoyu into the room. The walls were adorned with ancient zithers, jade swords, and other decorative items, their gleaming surfaces shimmering with a precious light. The marble floor was intricately carved, a masterpiece of craftsmanship. Beyond a screen, a tall mirror blocked his path.
Baoyu glanced at it, finding the mirror itself unremarkable, but inwardly puzzled. Where were they taking him?
A woman beside him gently tapped the side panel of the mirror, producing a subtle clicking sound. He exclaimed inwardly, "So that's how it is! The ancients created mirror doors hundreds of years ago! Even in the 21st century, few have experienced such a thing. The Jia family is damn rich! Will an indoor golf course rise from the ground up in a moment?!" Stimulated, the bored man began to let his imagination run wild.
The women worked together to lay Baoyu down on an extremely luxurious bed and began to serve him methodically, skillfully removing his outer robe until he was left only in his undergarments.
Although Baoyu wasn't truly drunk, he was already somewhat tipsy. Now, with several pairs of delicate hands caressing him, even though he couldn't see the women's beautiful faces due to the backlighting, he was suddenly aroused, his heart burning with desire, almost revealing his true nature! The poor fellow hurriedly forced himself to suppress his restless "little Baoyu," closing his eyes tightly and mentally counting "little lambs," hoping this sensual "torture" would end soon.
"This Baoyu, he's been gone so long and comes back completely drunk!" A sweet, clear voice rang out among the women.
"Qingwen, stop complaining. How about we have Baoyu apologize to you tomorrow?!" Her gentle words echoed softly in Baoyu's ears.
"I wouldn't dare! Xiren, what's your relationship with Baoyu that you're making decisions for him?!" Qingwen asked, half-jokingly, her teasing words revealing a hint of doubt.
"Look at what you're saying, whatever your relationship with him is what my relationship with him is!" Xiren's gentleness revealed a hint of shrewdness, leaving Qingwen speechless.
"All packed up, let's go out!" Another sweet voice broke between the two.
"Musk Moon, you, Bihen, and Qiuwen go back to your room to sleep. Qingwen and I will stay here tonight to take care of Baoyu!" Xiren's gentle words startled Baoyu. Could it be that he'd have to sleep with her?! This is amazing! Hehe...
As the women left, only Xiren and Qingwen remained in the room. Qingwen's slightly weary voice shattered the lecherous man's "sweet dream," "Let's sleep in the outer room. Anyway, Baoyu won't wake up anytime soon!" "Alright!" Xiren hesitated for a moment, then walked out of the mirror door with Qingwen. A moment later, the faint sounds of undressing came from the bed in the outer room, causing the feigning drunken man's imagination to run wild.
Tomorrow, he would definitely take a good look at what they looked like! Taking advantage of his slight intoxication, Baoyu drifted into a sweet dream.
The night was silent and still. The "Spirit Jade" he wore on his chest emitted a faint glow, quietly enveloping Baoyu's smiling face.
"Where am I? How did I get here?" Standing blankly in the darkness, Baoyu cried out in panic, "Is anyone there?" The silent space offered no response. Looking around, Baoyu's heart leaped with joy. A faint light appeared in the distance, and he ran towards it with all his might. The light kept flashing ahead, but Baoyu could never reach it. Just as he was about to collapse from exhaustion, a ray of light descended from the sky, silently flowing into his body.
The light transformed into vibrant life force, circulating within Baoyu. He felt a surge of power, and with a powerful stomp of his feet, his body shot forward like an arrow.
The light flashed, dazzling to the eye, and suddenly everything around him was bright. Baoyu realized he had broken free of the black mist, and even more miraculously, he was standing in mid-air, with swirling clouds beneath his feet.
Stunned, Baoyu cautiously took a step forward. The feeling of solid ground filled him with elation. "Great! I can fly!" he exclaimed, cheering like a child. Then,
another change occurred. Baoyu's vision blurred, and a magnificent palace appeared before him, shrouded in clouds and mist, suspended in mid-air.
In disbelief, Baoyu twisted his thigh hard. "Ouch!" A sharp pain shot through his mind, but the "magical" palace before him did not disappear.
"Who are you?" A calm voice echoed in the endless space, a voice more beautiful than heavenly music, like a spring breeze soothing the soul.
As if drinking sweet dew, Baoyu's eyes were dazed, and he answered in a daze, "I am Baoyu!" "You are not Baoyu. Do you remember who you are?" A beautiful female voice revealed a hint of expectation.
"Fake!" Baoyu realized upon hearing this. "Right, I'm not 'Jia Baoyu'," he honestly replied loudly, "My name is Shi Yu." The enchanting voice echoed again, "You're not Shi Yu either," the voice paused slightly, disappointment evident, "Alas, you still can't remember who you are!" What did that mean? Baoyu wondered to himself, a voice in his heart telling him the mysterious woman wasn't just playing tricks! Driven by curiosity, he flew forcefully towards the "Jade Palace," wanting to ask the mysterious woman directly.
A dazzling wall of light suddenly appeared, blocking the way before the building. Unable to stop his momentum, Baoyu crashed straight into the light wall like a boulder.
With a soft "thud," a gentle rebound force came from the light barrier. Unable to withstand it, Baoyu was bounced back, lying horizontally in mid-air. Fortunately, the rebound was miraculous, the force precisely controlled; despite the impact, he was completely unharmed!
Chapter Fifteen: How could the Illusionary Realm be like this?! Baoyu was utterly dejected. "Tell me, who am I?" he shouted to the woman inside the building.
"You will know everything once you walk through this door yourself! Go back, and come back when you have the power!" The mysterious woman's calm words carried a hint of comfort and encouragement.
"Where is this place?" Baoyu asked helplessly, changing his question.
"This is the 'Land of Illusion'! It's a chaotic space created by the 'Ruyi Jingu Bang' (the magic staff)." The person in the room finally answered Baoyu's question, but it only aroused his greater curiosity.
The Ruyi Jingu Bang! Why does that sound so familiar?! Baoyu was slightly taken aback. "Then who are you?
Please tell me!" "I've already said too much. Saying more will only do you harm! For now, you can call me 'Fairy Jinghuan'." The mysterious woman's words were full of mystery, leaving Baoyu even more confused. "Everything depends on yourself. I hope that one day you can break through the barrier, and everything will become clear!" "What?" Baoyu found it even more unbelievable. "No, I want to know the truth now!" He gritted his teeth and used all his strength to crash into the wall of light, refusing to believe that he couldn't even break through an illusory light barrier.
"Boom!" After the loud noise, the wall of light remained intact, but Baoyu was once again thrown far into the air, leaving only a small black dot.
"Sigh!" A low sigh drifted into Baoyu's ears on the wind, and the space immediately fell silent, utterly still.
Baoyu felt a powerful force surge through him, as if he were being lifted into the air like a rocket, terrifying him to the point of utter panic.
"Ah!" Baoyu cried out in alarm, tumbling off the bed in a flustered manner. Opening his eyes, he realized it was all a dream! He wiped the cold sweat from his brow, realizing how terrified he had been!
"Baoyu, what's wrong?" Startled awake by the shout, Xiren and Qingwen rushed in, wearing only their undergarments in their haste. Their prominent breasts, slender waists, and shapely, long legs, along with the smooth, jade-like breasts barely concealed by their undergarments, made Baoyu's eyes dazzle even more.
"Second Master, have you lost your mind?!" Qingwen, seeing Baoyu staring at them in disbelief, covered her mouth with her hand and chuckled softly.
"Get up quickly, the floor is cold." Xi Ren and Qing Wen were about to help Bao Yu, whose heart was burning
with desire, to his feet. "No need, I can do it myself," Bao Yu, unaccustomed to being served, casually waved them off, stopping them. After giving the two women's graceful curves a "fierce" look, he said softly in a reluctant tone, "You...you should put on some more clothes! It's chilly, be careful not to catch a cold!" Xi Ren and Qing Wen looked back at him, "Ah!" The two women exclaimed in unison, their jade-like faces flushed red, and even the smooth skin below their necks turned crimson, incredibly beautiful.
The two women, blushing, paused, their delicate bodies quickly disappearing from Bao Yu's sight.
Bao Yu withdrew his lingering gaze, thoughtfully climbed back onto the bed, his mind filled with countless thoughts, the scene from his dream reappearing before his eyes.
"The Ruyi Jingu Bang!" Wasn't that Sun Wukong's magical weapon from the myths?! Why was he having such a strange dream again? Right, he seemed to have had a similar strange dream last time. Although he couldn't remember the details, he remembered the odd line—"When you pick up the 'Ruyi Jingu Bang' again, you will become the new, invincible 'Great Sage Equaling Heaven'!"
Thinking of this, Baoyu was filled with endless doubt. Could the things in the dream be real?! Otherwise, how could he explain the appearance of this "fake" Baoyu? Do ghosts and gods really exist in this world? Born in the 21st century and never believing in ghosts and gods, Baoyu fell into deep thought, his mind in turmoil, feeling restless and depressed.
"Never mind, I don't want to think about it anymore!" Putting things aside for the time being was always Baoyu's "excellent" habit. He thought to himself, "I just need to make myself happy! Who cares if he's 'Shi Yu' or 'Jia Baoyu'!" His tense nerves slowly relaxed, and a wave of weariness washed over him. He closed his eyes and fell into a deep sleep again.
"Baoyu, it's dawn! Get up quickly, it's time to pay your respects to Madam and the Old Madam!" Xiren and Qingwen gently pushed open the door and entered.
Baoyu, still asleep, was troubled by the "strange dream" of the previous night. Seeing this, Qingwen, with her slender and tall figure, stepped forward, her cool jade hand reaching out as if to "torture" awaken the Second Master Bao.
Xiren was already used to Qingwen's actions and was unfazed, and Baoyu, who had grown up laughing and playing with the girls, smiled slightly on her round, rosy face and did not stop Qingwen's actions. Unexpectedly,
Qingwen's delicate body trembled as she reached the bedside, instantly freezing in place, leaving Xiren behind her puzzled. Unable
to resist the temptation of curiosity, Xiren, who was of medium height and slightly shorter than Qingwen, also stepped forward. Upon closer inspection, she too was momentarily stunned.
Baoyu, in his sleep, had a smile on his lips, a smile that was a mixture of mischievousness and innocence, deeply etched into the hearts of the two women. "Master Bao has changed!" They both reached the same conclusion in their hearts. Baoyu was still Baoyu, but he wasn't the same Baoyu as before. The extremely familiar face gave Qingwen and Xiren a completely new feeling!
"Why are you looking at me like that?! It's scary!" Just as the two women were still dazed, Baoyu woke up on his own, only to be met with the strange gazes of the two women.
"Baoyu, you've changed!" Xiren said softly, a hint of shyness flashing across her smooth face.
Baoyu was startled. Had he turned back into "Shi Yu"? He hurriedly got out of bed and rushed to the peephole. The face reflected in the mirror was still the "Baoyu" he already knew. Thank goodness, he hadn't been startled again!
"Hehe..." Qingwen laughed before speaking when she saw Baoyu's "silly look." "Xiren means you've become more handsome, but I also think you've changed, though I can't quite put my finger on it. It's really strange!" Qingwen's sculpted jawline accentuated his "fiery" personality, and beneath his beautiful face lay a "savage" heart.
Chapter Sixteen: Miaoyu Like a Fairy "What changes!" Baoyu chuckled, relieved. "It's just that I haven't been wearing rouge or face powder lately!" "Is that so!" Unable to find the problem, Qingwen and Xiren believed her. "Second Master, will you still wear these 'good' things now?" "No, no!" Baoyu shook his hands repeatedly. "However, even though you won't wear them anymore, it's no problem for me to 'eat'
them!" The lecherous fellow said, pretending to pounce on Qingwen, about to "eat" the lipstick on her lips.
"Stop fooling around, we're almost late!" Xiren chuckled, stopping the two's playful antics. The two women skillfully helped Baoyu put on his clothes. The
well-served young master was deeply impressed; being a young master was truly wonderful! Even the lives of immortals couldn't be better than this. Why dream of being that "Monkey King" who only knew how to fight and kill all day?!
Baoyu arrived at Grandmother Jia's residence, where Lady Wang and the sisters of the Grand View Garden were already seated. After exchanging greetings, the quick-witted Baoyu handled everything with ease, without any awkwardness. Amidst the laughter and conversation, his heart warmed by this familial affection, as if he had forgotten that he was merely a "fake" Baoyu!
This "fake" Baoyu, with his rich life experience and witty remarks, possessed knowledge six hundred years ahead of his time. Naturally, he understood people's hearts better than "Jia Baoyu," causing the beautiful eyes of all the women in the hall to widen in surprise and astonishment! The old lady was delighted by Baoyu's clever words, beaming with satisfaction.
The cunning Baoyu knew that to act freely within the Jia household, he first had to win the favor of the old lady and his "mother"! Seeing the joy in the loving eyes of Grandmother Jia and Lady Wang, he secretly rejoiced; it seemed his goal had been achieved. Staying any longer risked revealing his true intentions, so he decided to slip away.
He excused himself, saying he had just recovered from illness, and after a few casual words with the three sisters, Yingchun, he took his leave. Reaching a secluded spot, he let out a long sigh, only then realizing he was drenched in sweat. It seemed that playing the "face-changing" game was no easy feat!
Baoyu walked alone in the Grand View Garden. As soon as he stepped through the gate, a row of strange peaks blocked his view, perfectly concealing the elegant scenery behind them. After turning past the rocks, a smooth and winding road winds around the pavilions and towers, with carved railings and jade steps on both sides, a scene of bustling prosperity and breathtaking beauty.
The main road was lined with winding paths, hidden among layers of lush green trees, seamlessly connecting the various courtyards within the garden. Clear streams, spring vines, and wildflowers created a scene of natural perfection—truly a magnificent and luxurious residence! The
carefree young man wandered aimlessly. Everyone he encountered greeted him warmly, to which Baoyu responded with smiles but few words. The maids and servants, accustomed to Baoyu's eccentric behavior, simply laughed it off, paying no heed. After half
a day of leisurely strolling, Baoyu had not yet finished exploring the Grand View Garden. Just as he was weary and preparing to return to his residence, a stunningly beautiful figure flashed past the edge of the woods in the distance. Her white dress, elegant and flowing, exuded a refined grace; her delicate form appeared only briefly before disappearing into the forest path.
A fleeting glimpse sent a surge of heat through Baoyu's mind. In an instant, his entire being was drawn into the woods
by that beautiful figure, and he involuntarily quickened his pace to chase after the direction where the "celestial beauty" had disappeared. No matter how fast Baoyu, burning with desire, quickened his pace, the white-clad figure ahead always maintained a distance that allowed only a distant glance. Whether intentionally or not, Baoyu always caught a glimpse of that dreamlike figure at the corner of her path, without the slightest deviation.
Astonished, the man's curiosity was aroused, and he hoped to see the celestial beauty in human form. His pursuit grew faster and faster without his awareness; he quickened, and the mysterious woman ahead quickened; the beauty sped up, and Baoyu sped up again. In this cycle, two phantom figures flashed past in the woods at an astonishing speed.
Baoyu was unaware of his "miraculous" state; all his attention was focused on the beauty's figure. He also failed to notice the surge of heat coursing through his meridians, pushing him beyond the limits of the human body and reaching a transcendent state.
Seeing the mysterious woman enter a nunnery without stopping, Baoyu was overjoyed. He abruptly stopped, miraculously becoming still at the entrance. The sudden movement created a sharp gust of wind, and the dust kicked up beneath his feet astonished the bewildered Baoyu. Why was there so much dust on the ground? There was no wind!
Looking up, the three large characters "Longcui Nunnery" came into view, as elegant as a beautiful woman's figure, the flowing strokes conveying a subtle ethereal quality, vivid and lifelike.
Could she be a Daoist nun who practiced while still keeping her hair?! A hint of regret flashed in Baoyu's eyes. His mind, churning with thoughts, suddenly flashed with a flash of insight, and he remembered the woman's identity: wasn't she the beautiful, aloof, and tragically kidnapped Daoist nun from "Dream of the Red Chamber"—Miaoyu?!
"Distinguished guest, why not come inside and sit for a moment?" A clear, melodious voice, gentle and soothing, like a spring breeze caressing the heart, brought peace and tranquility.
Baoyu, captivated, was utterly astonished! Miaoyu's voice traveled across the wide courtyard, reaching Baoyu's ears as he stood before the temple gate. Though gentle and soft, it was crystal clear, as if speaking right beside him. Considering the distance between them was over ten zhang, how could he not be astonished?! This Miaoyu must be no ordinary person; could she be the legendary "martial arts master"?! This
man from ancient times had long yearned for the legendary "martial arts world," eager to see it for himself. Now that he had this opportunity, he was overjoyed. He couldn't help but secretly think, if he could become the disciple of a "peerless master," wouldn't he be "prosperous" back in the 21st century?! Hehe…
Following the sound of her voice, Baoyu entered Miaoyu's room. His eyes widened as he stepped inside, inwardly exclaiming, "My goodness! No beauty in the world could compare to her; only she deserves the title of 'celestial beauty'!" Her serene face wore a gentle smile, her deep eyes sparkling like stars, mysterious and captivating; her graceful figure was incomparably alluring, an ethereal aura surrounding her. No matter how wide Baoyu's eyes widened, he couldn't quite recall her exquisite face—truly miraculous.
Chapter Seventeen: The First Meeting of the Two Jades "Second Master Bao, I'm relieved to see you're in good health!" Miaoyu gently gestured for Baoyu to sit opposite her.
Baoyu sat down quietly at the table, a strange pang of sadness rising in his heart. It seemed she and "Jia Baoyu" were old acquaintances, and quite concerned about him. He hoped they weren't old flames!
"A month ago, you were possessed by evil spirits, and I wanted to come and help you," Miaoyu said, taking out a beautiful wooden tea set from her side. "Unfortunately, I arrived a step too late. Fortunately, I heard that the 'jade stone' was spiritually connected and saved your and Second Mistress's lives. Is this true?" Baoyu saw that although the "fairy's" words were caring, there was a clear distance between them. The bored fellow was not annoyed but pleased, and put aside his ridiculous jealousy. "I was in a frenzy at the time and lost my senses. I don't remember the real situation, but according to what the old lady said, it must be true!" "Second Master, please have some tea!" Miaoyu's delicate hands never stopped. In a moment, she had brewed a pot of fragrant tea and lit a sandalwood incense burner. The simple and clean room was immediately filled with a sweet fragrance and the aroma of tea, which was refreshing and pleasant.
Although Baoyu wasn't a tea connoisseur, he was, after all, born in the information-rich 21st century. While indulging in a bit of refined taste, he had watched some programs about "tea ceremony." He chuckled knowingly, "One cup is for tasting, two cups are for drinking, three cups are for guzzling. To be able to taste tea brewed by the fairy herself today is truly a worthwhile trip!" Looking at the steaming tea, Baoyu's heart pounded. But as an "expert," he wasn't intimidated by the high temperature. He gently held the wooden cup with both hands, steeled himself, and took a small sip. He immediately felt a surge of heat flow through his lungs, and besides the lingering fragrance, he even detected a hint of plum blossom scent.
Unable to contain his curiosity, Baoyu disregarded decorum and brought the teacup to his nose, inhaling deeply. Indeed, amidst the wispy steam, there was a faint fragrance of plum blossoms.
"Master Bao is indeed no ordinary man. This cup of tea is no common tea; it was made five years ago from the morning dew collected from the petals of a winter plum blossom on Lonely Mountain. There's only one pool of it in total. It's also Master Bao's good fortune that it was just opened today. You are now the first person to taste this 'Morning Dew Tea'!" Seeing Bao Yu's amusing expression, the clever Miao Yu easily guessed his thoughts and patiently explained to him, her peaceful, ethereal voice devoid of any pretense.
Bao Yu felt flattered upon hearing this and was about to say a few words of modesty when Miao Yu's tone suddenly changed, startling him.
"Who are you? You are definitely not Master Bao. He doesn't possess the magic of supernatural speed!" Miao Yu's beautiful eyes flashed with cold light, her jade-like face as frosty as ice.
"What do you mean by that, Fairy? I don't understand." Bao Yu's mind was in turmoil, but he forced a calm expression; feigning ignorance was his specialty.
A burst of light suddenly emanated from Miaoyu's delicate body, her magical power surging, her aura fierce and sharp. Her beautiful hair fluttered even without wind. "Still pretending? Your figure was already exposed when you chased me. If I hadn't sensed no demonic power on you, I would have attacked long ago! With the meager magical power within you, I could take your life in less than ten moves. Now, confess!" Before her words were finished, the jade hairpin on Miaoyu's head leaped up, automatically hovering in mid-air. With a sway in the wind, it revealed its true form, a three-foot-long sword gleaming with cold light, its tip flashing, aimed directly at Baoyu's throat.
Miaoyu's miraculous performance left no room for doubt in her words, and Baoyu felt a sense of relief. Thank goodness!
The mysterious woman, unaware of the truth, darted around, and an idea struck her. "Now that you mention it, I remember. Since recovering from my serious illness, I've felt as light as a feather, as if I could fly. I've seen several doctors, but they all said I was just hallucinating from excessive fright." Baoyu paused slightly, a look of anticipation on his face. "Now, hearing your explanation, you should know the reason. Please, Fairy, dispel my doubts!" Miaoyu gazed at Baoyu for a moment, then, with a thought, the radiant light beside her swiftly rushed towards him, enveloping him.
Seeing this "strange" light, Baoyu felt a sense of familiarity. A flash of inspiration struck him; he suddenly recalled the scene before entering the "black hole," the image of the radiant beauty reappearing in his mind. Having already experienced many "strange and bizarre" things, his resistance had increased considerably, and this time he didn't cry out "Ghosts!" He only secretly wondered, "Heavens! Do gods and monsters really exist in this world?" So, is this "Miaoyu" a deity or a demon?
The rosy light quietly disappeared into Miaoyu's body, and the sharp sword transformed back into a jade hairpin, re-inserting into her beautiful hair. Miaoyu regained her serene and ethereal beauty. "It seems I misunderstood you. Please don't mind! It must be that the jade that was born into the mortal world with you is a celestial object. When you were in danger, the magic contained within it not only saved your life but also gave you immense benefits. It can truly be said that you ascended to heaven in one step! This jade is indeed extraordinary. Second Master's future achievements will surely be limitless!" Baoyu was half-convinced by the "fairy's" flattery, but secretly wondered about her true identity. "May I ask if you are... a fairy... or a demon?" The stammering fellow became nervous as he spoke, afraid of hearing "terrible" news. In his mind, he imagined the beautiful Miaoyu transforming into a terrifying scene of a human body with a beast's head, a blue face, and fangs.
"Giggle..." A melodious laugh, like the tinkling of silver bells, echoed in the nunnery. Seeing Baoyu's tense and pitiful state, Miaoyu's hidden childlike innocence was awakened. Her deep, serene eyes filled with laughter, and the ethereal, otherworldly beauty suddenly descended to earth, becoming approachable and natural.
Infected by the laughter, Baoyu relaxed his tense nerves and gazed at Miaoyu curiously, asking,
"Are you definitely a fairy?" Miaoyu's beautiful face remained unchanged; she simply shook her head gently. Her hair was styled in a high bun, and the two light tassels on her magical jade hairpin swayed gently with her hair, making Baoyu's heart pound.
"Could it be... you... are a demon?!" His heart pounded like a drum, his mouth went dry, his legs tightened, and cold sweat dripped down his face.
Miaoyu neither confirmed nor denied it, only smilingly watching Baoyu; a playful thought arose in her heart, and the beauty sighed, "Alas! Since you've seen through me, this demon has no choice but to kill you to silence you!" Before she finished speaking, the previous glow suddenly reappeared, and under the shroud of light smoke, a "classic" figure with a blue face, fangs, and a gaping maw appeared before Baoyu.
"A ghost!" This time, Baoyu's courage had improved, and he didn't faint; after a scream, his legs kicked up like a galloping wheel, and he fled frantically towards the door.
Chapter Eighteen: Qingwen's Heart. Just as he escaped through the door, Miaoyu's whisk transformed into thousands of strands, chasing after him and instantly "grabbing" him back into the room like a wrapped dumpling.
The "vengeful ghost" had vanished, and Miaoyu, with a smile, returned to her original form. "Please forgive me, Master Bao, I was just joking with you." Seeing the ethereal beauty before him, who didn't resemble a man-eating monster at all, Baoyu asked with some doubt, "Then just now...?" "My identity shouldn't be revealed to mortals," Miaoyu glanced at Baoyu meaningfully, "but since you can now be considered half a cultivator, I'll tell you the truth. I come from the Great Wilderness Mountain of Wuji Cliff, a blessed land of Taoism. My Dharma name is Miaoyu. I came down the mountain to the mortal world for trials by my master's orders! I'm neither a god nor a monster. Like you, I'm also a human, just a cultivator seeking the Tao!" "Cultivation?" Hearing this legendary term, Baoyu's curiosity overcame his earlier fear. Who said only women have curiosity? A man's curiosity can kill a nine-lived cat just as easily! "Does this mean cultivating immortality and becoming a Buddha?" "Achieving enlightenment is the ultimate goal of those who seek the Dao, but unfortunately, only one in a hundred achieves it. We can only live a few hundred years longer than ordinary people." Miaoyu's eyes revealed an endless longing and a hint of obsession for becoming an immortal.
A few hundred years...that's all! My goodness! Is "a few hundred years" that short? What kind of logic is this? Everything before his eyes had already exceeded Baoyu's usual thinking. Born in the 21st century, he never believed in ghosts and gods, but now he was stunned and stood there dumbfounded by this living reality.
Baoyu's mind was filled with countless thoughts. He couldn't even remember when he left the "Longcui Nunnery." He just walked blankly along the forest path. This small nunnery in the "Grand View Garden" had brought him a huge impact. His life had turned a mysterious new page because of this unexpected encounter.
Miaoyu's graceful and peerless body stood quietly at the entrance of the nunnery. Only after Baoyu's figure completely disappeared did she thoughtfully return to the nunnery.
Her exquisite face remained calm and serene, but Miaoyu's heart was in turmoil, a thousand thoughts flashing through her mind simultaneously, chaotic and tangled, unable to find peace.
Was he the destined one she had been searching for? Was she truly destined to be entangled with him for life?
Her master's prophecy had begun to come true; what should she do? Was she truly destined to spend her life with him? Would leaving him truly bring about a great calamity? Endless doubts swirled in Miaoyu's mind, and an even greater question churned within her.
She felt no romantic love for him; how could they cultivate together?! Moreover, with his current meager magical power, how could he possibly help her overcome a great calamity?
With a deep affinity for the immortals, Miaoyu sat cross-legged in meditation. After a moment, her primordial spirit merged with the natural world, and the troubles in her heart were washed away by the pure and ethereal energy of heaven and earth. The words of her master, the Immortal Miaomiao, before his departure floated into her mind: "Everything resides in the heart, learn from nature, and follow the will of heaven!" Baoyu wandered aimlessly in the Grand View Garden, his mind troubled by the talk of "ghosts and gods
." His feet unconsciously followed the path he had come from towards the Yihong Courtyard. "Second Master, you were just wandering around here! We were so worried!" A clear, coquettish voice rang out from ahead, startling Baoyu from his reverie.
Qingwen's graceful figure approached quickly, her voice tinged with reproach: "It's already noon, and you still haven't come back for lunch." Before she finished speaking, she grabbed Baoyu's wrist. "Come on, Xiren and Sheyue are still looking for you! We're too embarrassed to eat first without you. Do you want us to starve to death, hehe..." Qingwen couldn't help but laugh as she spoke.
Looking at the charming and beautiful young woman, Baoyu's heart warmed. He felt the soft, smooth touch of her wrist against his, and the beautiful woman's smiling face, so close to him, exuded a delicate fragrance that seeped into his heart, burning like a raging flame. Qingwen before him was now more beautiful than a flower, more fragrant than jade! Her intoxicating beauty made him drunk even before he drank, his eyes glazed over.
"Hurry up!" Seeing Baoyu's slow pace, Qingwen pulled him forward forcefully, urging him to quicken his pace.
With his mind filled with romantic thoughts, Baoyu took a large stride, his wrist naturally flipping to grasp the girl's delicate, boneless hand. He casually tightened his grip, saying, "Alright! I'm hungry too!" Qingwen, who was being dragged along, was slightly taken aback. Baoyu's large, warm hand stirred a strange flutter in her heart. Seeing his elegant, upright figure, devoid of his usual feminine air, a hint of surprise flashed in her eyes, quickly masked by a radiant glow. A blush crept onto her delicate, rosy face, making the young woman, experiencing her first stirrings of love, appear radiant and beautiful.
In a wealthy family like the Jia family, the personal maids serving their masters were essentially concubines without formal entry into the household. They had no freedom of choice; their only hope was to find a good master who wouldn't discard them after he was tired of them, selling them to complete strangers.
Although Qingwen was naturally beautiful, no less so than the other young ladies of the Jia family, she was not so fortunate. As a maid, she could only helplessly submit to the dictates of fate.
Being assigned to Baoyu's side by Grandmother Jia brought her both joy and sorrow. She was joyful because Baoyu was kind-hearted and not wicked, treating the maids exceptionally well; she was sorrowful because Baoyu, as a man, was worse than a woman, all show and no substance, utterly incompetent and useless!
Because of this, the proud Qingwen, though serving him diligently, was not as gentle and silent as Xiren. She would occasionally throw tantrums, venting her confusion and fear about the future, and she felt resentful about being subservient to Baoyu.
Unexpectedly, fate changed. After a serious illness, Baoyu became dashing and spirited, which was undoubtedly a stroke of good fortune for his close maids like Xiren and Qingwen! Seeing Baoyu's affectionate gesture, her heart naturally began to flutter; a young girl's heart is always poetic, and romance always descends with passion, irresistible!
Back at his residence, Baoyu hastily ate lunch and lay down on the couch under the shade of a tree in the courtyard, his eyes slightly closed, his thoughts in turmoil; he still hadn't recovered from the shock of the "ghosts and gods" tale. His beliefs of over twenty years clashed violently with the incredible yet real existence. It was remarkable that Baoyu could remain sober, after all, such a shock was unimaginable to those who hadn't experienced it firsthand!
Chapter Nineteen: The Fragrance of Flowers. Baoyu, tossing and turning, unable to sleep, was exhausted and weary. He quietly fell asleep on the cool couch, his brows furrowed even in his sleep, revealing his inner turmoil.
Xiren tiptoed to Baoyu's side, fanning him with a palm-leaf fan while silently shooing away the blood-sucking mosquitoes. Her watery eyes gazed at the sleeping Baoyu, a gentle tenderness unconsciously rising on her round face.
Among the maids, Xiren was the oldest and had fallen in love early. Like Qingwen, she was aware of her situation and future, but the gentle young woman harbored no resentment. She simply stayed silently by Baoyu's side, accompanying him as he grew up. Although a few years older than Baoyu, she was also in her prime, but her mind was exceptionally delicate. Even Lady Wang, who rarely praised her servants, spoke highly of her. The naturally loyal Xiren had only Baoyu in her heart; her world revolved around making her master comfortable and happy.
Perhaps feeling the cool breeze Xiren fanned for him, or perhaps having untied the knot in his heart, the sleeping Baoyu's tightly furrowed brows relaxed, and his uniquely captivating smile appeared on his lips.
Although Xiren's arms ached, her heart was filled with boundless joy; her master's happiness was her happiness. When the young girl saw that unfamiliar yet captivating smile on Baoyu's face again, her heart trembled slightly, then pounded wildly like a deer's. The embarrassing scene from a few days before Baoyu fell ill flashed through her mind.
As fate would have it, all the maids in the "Yihong Courtyard" were out on business that day, leaving only Jia Baoyu and Xiren alone in the room.
Bored, Baoyu picked up a book that the eldest son of the Xue family had secretly given him. He discovered it was a forbidden book, and Baoyu, who had never seen such a "good book" before, became completely engrossed. Just then, Xiren came to serve him, and he was overcome with passion, forcibly pulling Xiren towards him, wanting to enjoy the pleasures of love.
The young girl knew this day would come sooner or later, and although she didn't love Baoyu, she did have a slight liking for him, so she half-heartedly complied.
Thinking of this, Xiren, though shy, couldn't help but smile playfully, her eyes revealing a rare mischievous glint.
Baoyu, experiencing his first major life event, was already aroused by the forbidden books, and facing Xiren's fully developed, perfect body, his desire surged like a tide. He impatiently pounced on her soft, delicate body, and a ridiculous thing happened. Following
the instructions in the book, Baoyu "thrust forward with all his might," and the moment he touched the girl's mysterious valley, his erect penis, before even finding its way to the entrance, suddenly trembled violently, erupting like volcanic lava, unstoppable. The tingling
sensation throughout his body was incredibly pleasurable for Baoyu. As a novice in this "battlefield," he thought he had already completed his life's great event, and with his limbs weak, he rolled off Xiren's body and instantly fell into a deep sleep.
Although the older Xiren knew what true lovemaking was from the old woman who taught maids, her girlish modesty prevented her from speaking of it. She could only tidy herself up, half-fuming and half-laughing, and quietly leave Baoyu's room to avoid being seen by her sisters.
"Sigh!" Xiren sighed softly, recalling the ridiculous scene of that day. Since then, Baoyu had been ill for over a month. Although he had now recovered, he seemed to have completely forgotten what happened that day. Although she hadn't actually been intimate with him, her purity was compromised. What was she to do now?!
Xiren pondered silently, her heart filled with regret. It must be that damned "strange" illness causing it; how could he have forgotten such a thing!
"How did I end up here again!" Baoyu stared in astonishment at the "Land of Illusion" suspended in mid-air, then looked down at the swirling clouds below. He muttered to himself, "Looks like I'm dreaming again. Is this really real? Did my soul really leave my body and end up here?" After seeing Miaoyu, his consciousness had undergone subtle changes.
"Hey, Fairy Jinghuan, are you there?" Baoyu dared not bang his head against the "wall" again; the terrifying feeling of rapidly falling in the last "dream" was still fresh in his mind.
"You're here again. What is it?" A calm, unwavering voice echoed, unchanged from before.
"I don't know how I got here. I just fell asleep and ended up here. Didn't you bring me here?" Baoyu could no longer suppress his doubts.
"No, it was your 'Spirit-Communicating Jade' that brought you here," the question originated from the "magical" jade.
"Why did it bring me here? Are you also a cultivator like Miaoyu?" Baoyu blurted out expectantly.
The Fairy Disenchantment's voice rang out again, without a trace of impatience, "I am already an immortal, why would I need to cultivate further! As for the other questions, I have already told you. When the time is right, you will understand everything! Telling you now would only add to your troubles, so don't ask any more." Just as Baoyu was about to ask another question, the Fairy Disenchantment gently dismissed him, "Alright, go back now. Come find me again if you encounter any difficulties!" A powerful force came from ahead, and Baoyu felt himself transform into a floating feather, constantly being blown away by the breeze. He vaguely heard the Fairy Disenchantment's whisper carried on the wind, "
Go to the 'Xuanzhen Temple' outside the city; perhaps you can find what you need there!" His eyelids trembled slightly, and Baoyu slowly opened his eyes. The scene from his dream clearly appeared in his mind.
"You're awake!" A joyful voice came from beside him, and Xiren, who had been watching over Baoyu, hurriedly offered him some tea.
"Thank you for your hard work," Baoyu said, noticing the sweat on the girl's temples and the weariness in her eyes. He knew she had been serving him the whole time, and although Xiren was serving "Jia Baoyu," he was deeply grateful.
"Xiren, do you know there's a 'Xuanzhen Temple' outside the city?" Baoyu looked at the girl nervously, his heart filled with both anticipation and fear. If what he had dreamed of was true, then the whole world would be changed!
Chapter Twenty: Seeking Answers at the Taoist Temple "Why did you suddenly ask this? Don't you usually dislike Taoist temples?" Xiren asked softly, gently straightening Baoyu's clothes. "Have you forgotten that the Master cultivated immortality and sought the Tao in that temple?" The Master?! Baoyu quickly searched his mind, and after a moment, he vaguely remembered that in "Dream of the Red Chamber," Jia Jing of the Ningguo Mansion was mentioned as a Taoist enthusiast who eventually died from poisoning after accidentally ingesting cinnabar. It seemed that this "Master" referred to Jia Jing!
Baoyu wondered to himself why the Fairy Disenchantment had asked him to go to the Xuanzhen Temple. Was it to find Jia Jing? But he certainly wasn't a Taoist master, otherwise, how could
he have been poisoned by ingesting cinnabar?! "Baoyu, what's wrong?" Seeing his brows furrowed and his thoughtful silence, Xiren worriedly took his hand and shook it gently.
"Nothing! Come with me to the Xuanzhen Temple tomorrow morning." Seeing the doubt in Xiren's beautiful eyes, Baoyu spoke before she could ask, "Don't ask me why, I'll tell you later." "Okay!" The obedient girl nodded lightly, her heart filled with countless doubts, but she had to suppress them. This was the gentle and lovely Hua Xiren!
Ten miles outside the east gate of the capital, nestled among verdant pines and cypresses, the elegant and ancient Xuanzhen Temple is faintly visible. Although the temple lacks the bustling incense offerings and throngs of visitors, the presence of the eldest master of the Jia family in his quiet practice, coupled with the substantial donations and continuous offerings from the Ningguo Mansion, lends it an ethereal and otherworldly air, perfectly embodying the Daoist principles of tranquility and non-action.
Baoyu and Xiren rode slowly along the tree-lined path. Since the young woman couldn't ride a horse, and riding in a sedan chair would be too ostentatious, Baoyu, not wanting to disturb others, cleverly disguised Xiren as a handsome young man. The two quietly left the Jia mansion through a side gate and rode away together. As they left, they inevitably encountered some maids and servants, who dared not question them, only wondering when the Second Master had befriended such a handsome young man.
The two rode together, and Xiren initially paid no attention until the horse galloped so fast that she fell into Baoyu's arms, only then realizing the intimacy between them. Because the saddle was narrow, the young woman had to cling tightly to Baoyu, and with each rise and fall, their bodies inevitably touched. Baoyu, preoccupied with his emotions, didn't seem to notice, but Xiren felt a burning heat against his chest, a heat that flowed through her clothes into her body, stirring her gently rippling emotions, finally turning into a blush that spread across her beautiful face.
The young woman was filled with shyness, her delicate body trembling slightly, her fingers nervously gripping Baoyu's clothes. Her lowered eyelids secretly opened, and she stealthily glanced up at Baoyu; in that instant, in that very moment, the mysterious gates of her heart quietly opened, and the gently rippling sea of emotion suddenly surged with endless waves.
Baoyu stared intently ahead, his black hair billowing in the wind, his tall figure exuding a heroic and masculine aura. His strong masculine presence permeated the young girl's heart, causing Xiren's heart to flutter. A strange feeling suddenly arose, swirling endlessly within her.
The sweet romance that every young girl dreams of had arrived, and Xiren, blissfully, nestled into her master's arms.
The horse came to a halt, and Baoyu's gentle voice reached the girl's ears, "Is this the Xuanzhen Temple? It's a beautiful place, with lovely scenery!" Xiren's heart trembled, jolted from her reverie, her face burning hot.
As soon as the two dismounted, a young Taoist priest approached, bowing with one hand in a gesture of respect, and asked, "May I ask if you have come to pay your respects to Layman Jia?" Baoyu's eyes widened in surprise, and he asked in astonishment, "Young Taoist, why do you think we've come to see the Master?" The young Taoist's face lit up with delight. "Layman Jia cast a divination last night, and the oracle predicted that distinguished guests would arrive today. So I've been waiting here since early this morning, and it just so happens that you two have arrived. Hence my question!" "Is that so?!" Baoyu exclaimed in surprise, half-believing, half-doubting as he followed the young Taoist into the Taoist temple.
Halfway there, a middle-aged Taoist priest approached. "Layman Jia said that those who have come to see him should enter alone, while female guests accompanying him should have tea in the side hall." Baoyu was startled, secretly thinking to himself, "This Jia Jing seems to have some 'Taoist skills,' even able to predict that Xiren is a woman disguised as a man!" Who would have thought that the ancient divination method was actually so accurate!
Seeing Xiren's graceful figure disappear with the two Taoist priests at the side hall entrance, Baoyu forced himself to look away, his spirits lifted, and gently pushed open the door before him, stepping inside.
"It really is you! Baoyu, my child, sit down." The simple, clean room was filled with a sweet fragrance. An elderly man, nearly seventy years old, sat cross-legged on the floor, his white hair giving him a youthful face, his features thin, and a wisp of beard on his chin exuding an air of otherworldly elegance.
"Your child greets Your Excellency!" Baoyu, imitating Jia Jing, sat cross-legged on the prayer mat.
"Yesterday, I was moved by a sudden inspiration and cast a divination. Today, you have indeed come as predicted. It seems that among the nephews and nieces of the Jia family, only you and I are destined to meet!" Jia Jing's narrow eyes flashed with a sharp light, his words tinged with melancholy.
His calm tone left Baoyu with no doubt, and he instantly felt a deep respect. "I've come to ask you, Master, to resolve my doubts. Why does the 'Spirit Jade' always give me a strange yet real 'dream'?" "You don't need to ask further. When the time is right, everything will become clear! My cultivation is limited, and I cannot answer your questions!" The Master smiled and began to engage in Zen-like riddles with Baoyu.
There it was again! Baoyu cried out inwardly, his face showing pity.
"Do you know that the Jia family is facing a great calamity, their fate sealed!" Jia Jing's calm tone was like a thunderbolt, causing Baoyu's heart to churn with turmoil, unable to find peace.
Jia Jing's face showed reminiscence, and his deep voice echoed in the small space, "The Jia family has enjoyed unparalleled wealth and prominence since our ancestors, for over a hundred years; people say that prosperous families last three generations, but the Jia family has enjoyed five generations of peace and prosperity. Heaven has truly been kind to the Jia family!" Bao Yu looked puzzled, wondering why his master was talking about the Jia family's past. Jia Jing changed the subject, finally resolving his doubts.
"Recently, I have been experiencing involuntary heart palpitations. Since I began to focus on cultivating the Tao, I haven't felt this inexplicable unease for many years, so this must be a sign from Heaven!" His master paused slightly, and Bao Yu's heart tightened as well.
Chapter Twenty-One: The Taoist Texts of the Dharma Gate. "After I closed myself in seclusion, fasted, and bathed, I cast a divination, and it was indeed an ominous sign. The hexagram foretold the imminent demise of the Jia family! Shocked, I intended to use my shallow cultivation to defy fate, so I cast another divination for myself, but it was also an ominous sign, indicating my end was near, and I was powerless to reverse it." Upon hearing this, Baoyu couldn't help but ponder to himself, could he be referring to the Jia family's downfall a few years later, resulting in their dismissal and confiscation of property? But that only affected Jia She of the Ningguo and Rongguo mansions; Jia Zheng remained unscathed. Unable to contain his doubts, Baoyu blurted out, "What calamity are you referring to, Master?" "Demons and monsters run rampant, and you will die for the jade!" Jia Jing's deep, low voice struck Baoyu's heart like a thousand hammer blows. "This is the prophecy of the divination. After careful examination, I understand it must be related to you, my child!" "What? Related to me!" Baoyu's eyes widened in disbelief, his voice trembling. "Do you mean mountain spirits and monsters?" "To be precise, it's related to the 'Spiritual Jade' you were born with from your mother's womb," the Master glanced thoughtfully at Baoyu's chest. Looking at the jade in front of him, Jia Jing said, "The news a month ago about jade possessing spiritual power has once again confirmed the divination's omen. You guessed right; not only are demons coming to wreak havoc, but also cultivators from both righteous and evil factions in the human world. As for whether their intentions are good or evil, that's for you to discern!" "Me?" Baoyu's mouth gaped open, startled by Jia Jing's words. "Are you joking? You've achieved great success in your cultivation; naturally, only you can deal with these flying and escaping demons!" Jia Jing sighed somewhat helplessly, "Although my Jia family has hundreds of sons and thousands of grandsons, and is prosperous and wealthy, none of my many nephews and nieces are capable of..." "This is fate, the destiny of my Jia family. Our good fortune is coming to an end." The old master's eyes suddenly widened, his gaze fixed on Baoyu with sharp light. "Only you, my child, were born with extraordinary features, accompanied by divine beings from birth. Among your descendants, only you possess the innate wisdom to turn the tide and save my Jia family from peril! Although you have been playful since childhood, your true nature has gradually revealed itself since 'Baoyu's spiritual connection,' and your affinity with the divine far surpasses that of this old man. The one destined for this calamity is undoubtedly you, my child!" Upon hearing this, Baoyu thought to himself, "If you knew that the real 'Jia Baoyu' would have been finished long ago, I wonder if you would still be so confident." "Hehe..." "Don't doubt it," Jia Jing, an old and shrewd man, saw the half-believing, half-doubting look on Bao Yu's face. "Heaven's will cannot be defied! Your actions are the last chance for the Jia family. When the time comes, there will be no escape. Everything depends on you!" The old man paused slightly, subconsciously glancing at the "divination tortoise" on the table. "Moreover, my child, your origin is miraculous. You were born to face a calamity. Let me do my part for the Jia family before my time comes!" Bao Yu's heart trembled, and cold sweat silently trickled down his face. He didn't know if Jia Jing meant that he was born with a jade in his mouth or that he meant his true identity! "
I am just an ordinary person. How can I fight against demons? Please enlighten me, sir." Bao Yu put aside his doubts and began to accept what Jia Jing said.
"Opportunities are determined by fate, and cannot be forced by human effort! Behind me lies a quiet room containing Taoist scriptures, many of which are wondrous. My aptitude is limited; though I guard this treasure mountain, I have gained little. Now it all depends on your destiny!" Before Jia Jing finished speaking, his eyes slowly closed, intending to meditate in stillness. As he entered a state of tranquility, he said softly, "Baoyu, after you obtain the books, take them back to your residence and cultivate them on your own. There's no need to say goodbye to me. Be careful in everything from now on!" "Understood, son," Baoyu replied with joy. He never imagined he would come into contact with the magic of immortals. His intense curiosity instantly dispelled the gloom in his heart, making him forget the terrifying demons that were about to appear.
"Why is there so little?" Baoyu muttered to himself in dissatisfaction. He had originally thought the quiet room would be filled with countless scrolls, but instead, the walls were bare, with only four scrolls lying horizontally on a low table shaped like a tea table in the center.
He strode towards the low table, and as soon as he took a step, the space before him suddenly shifted as if it were solid, ripples trembling incessantly, and finally, a text miraculously appeared in the void.
When Baoyu was recuperating, to pass the time, he had Jin Chuan find some books. Although he hadn't specifically studied ancient writing, the differences between ancient and modern characters weren't too significant, and by comparing them, he could recognize most of them.
The text in the void said: "The 'Dao' school contains 360 methods, each of which can lead to enlightenment."
"I have spent my entire life seeking the Dao, and with all my might I have obtained only four volumes of Daoist texts, the four manuals of 'Technique, Flow, Stillness, and Movement.' I hope that a destined person will use them to benefit all living beings.
" Baoyu silently recited this in his heart, and after a moment, the words in the void transformed into countless points of light and disappeared without a trace. Already accustomed to such things, he thought with amusement, "Who left this message? They didn't even leave a name . If I can't master it and waste my time, who can I complain to?
" Baoyu's slightly trembling hand picked up the "Technique" manual, his eyes wide as he carefully examined it. Inside were talismans, diagrams, and methods of divination. A
happy smile appeared on his lips. Jia Jing must have learned this; his divination was quite accurate. If he learned this technique, wouldn't he be able to avoid misfortune and attract good fortune? The talismans could also exorcise demons and monsters.
Thinking of this, the guy couldn't help but recall those majestic scenes in future movies where a loud shout sends talismans flying everywhere, accompanied by wind and fire. Heh, heh… he wasn't bad looking either, cool and stylish enough!
Baoyu closed the book, about to tuck it into his robes, when suddenly a miraculous change occurred. The
"Spirit Jade" he wore on his chest trembled slightly, suddenly bursting forth with countless rays of light invisible to the naked eye. The light instantly enveloped the Taoist book of the "Arts" sect, as if an invisible hand had suddenly pulled it from Baoyu's grasp. Supported by the magical power of the "Spirit Jade," the book left a straight trajectory in the air and swiftly fell back onto the low table.
"Alas!" Baoyu was startled but not afraid. He was used to such occurrences and assumed it was the "Taoist book's" own magical power at work. He sighed softly, a hint of disappointment in his voice, "It seems I'm destined to be without the 'arts'!" As he sighed, a thought emanated from within the jade, instantly and without hindrance entering his mind and swirling endlessly. Baoyu suddenly felt a strange, inexplicable thought pop into his head: casting spells, drawing incantations, and divination were merely inferior methods, offering no benefit whatsoever, only a waste of time!
Baoyu felt a slight surprise, not understanding how he could have such a perception! But he naturally affirmed his own judgment.
Chapter Twenty-Two: The Perverted Book. Let's see what this book is about! Baoyu casually flipped open a "Liu" sect Taoist book, only to find that it emphasized swallowing elixirs and ingesting cinnabar, and crafting magical artifacts.
He immediately recalled how Jia Jing had died from accidentally ingesting poison, and the "Flowing" school of Taoist arts instantly transformed into a venomous beast, falling to the ground with a "thud." Ingesting sand and swallowing gold was too dangerous; he couldn't do it! He should persuade his master to give up such a dangerous "hobby"!
Having already abandoned two Taoist books, the man cautiously picked up the "Stillness" school of Taoism. A casual flip revealed its emphasis on tranquility and non-action, meditation, chanting scriptures and reciting Buddha's name, and achieving enlightenment through long-term arduous practice.
My goodness! Was this even humanly worthy of such treatment? Without a second thought, Baoyu immediately discarded it; he couldn't undertake such a "heroic" asceticism. The thought of spending his life facing a solitary lamp and wooden fish was worse than death!
Under the dual influence of the mysterious power of the "Spiritual Jade" and Baoyu's own nature, only one last Taoist book remained before him—the "Movement" school.
With a nervous heart, Baoyu clasped his hands together and prayed to heaven, hoping the book would suit him; otherwise, he would truly have entered a treasure mountain only to return empty-handed.
He slowly opened the "Dance" manual, and upon seeing it, he was speechless. It was full of illustrations of male-female intercourse, with four large characters at the top—"Yin Yang Harmony!"
"Haha…," Baoyu laughed wildly to the sky. This was wonderful! He loved it! The method of "Dance"—this "Dance" was actually bedroom exercise, hehe…
Just as the "shameless" fellow was drooling and about to take it into his arms, his previous thought resurfaced—this was also an inferior method, useless to learn!
Like a bucket of cold water poured over his head, Baoyu dejectedly put it back on the table; before he could retract his hand, the thought of "Shi Yu" surfaced in his mind—useless or not, as long as he liked it, it was better than nothing! With a wave of his hand, the "Dance" manual returned to his grasp.
"Unknown Thoughts" immediately launched their attack, while "Shi Yu's True Nature" stubbornly resisted. Bao Yu's mind was instantly caught in a fierce internal struggle, his large hands sometimes loosening and sometimes tightening, his emotions conflicted. Finally, his face turned red, his expression contorted, and waves of excruciating pain surged through his mind as the two opposing forces clashed and fought.
"Ah!" Bao Yu cried out, clutching his head in pain, but the two opposing thoughts within his mind continued their relentless battle.
Within the "Land of Illusion," which Bao-yu had dreamt of many times, the peerless Guanyin Bodhisattva gazed upon Bao-yu, slumped to the ground in the "Mysterious Light Mirror," and murmured helplessly to herself, "Could it be that Heaven intends for 'Wukong' to cultivate unorthodox methods? 'Yin-Yang Harmony,' though a Hinayana practice, could it possibly be related to the ultimate power of Yin and Yang?" "Alas?!" Guanyin sighed, "Perhaps we should follow Heaven's will. I hope 'Wukong' won't become hopelessly entangled in worldly desires. Is this how one comprehends Yin and Yang?!" With a wave of her jade hand, the "Mysterious Light Mirror" vanished into the void, and she immediately withdrew the divine power that had affected Bao-yu's mind.
His mind suddenly cleared, and the excruciating pain disappeared. Bao-yu, now back to normal, didn't dwell on his earlier unease, merely chuckling foolishly at the manual of the Moving Gate in his hand.
He muttered to himself, "It wasn't easy to get you. The pain I felt just now was you testing me with your magic! Don't worry, my determination is unwavering. My future 'sexual' happiness depends entirely on you!" Inside the quiet room, a half-mad, half-foolish boy held a book, his eyes gleaming, still muttering to himself in a daze. He looked so pitiful!
"Second Master, you're out!" Baoyu had just stepped out of the room when he heard Xiren's gentle voice, "It's almost noon, let's go back! If Madam finds out you've sneaked out, you'll get scolded again!" "Okay!" Baoyu, extremely excited, didn't notice the hint of affection in the girl's eyes. He was only anxious to get home quickly to study his "good book."
The two rode away together, carrying the happy girl, disappearing from the sight of the Taoist priests who were seeing them off.
Back at the Jia Mansion, Baoyu had just finished lunch when Jin Chuan came to deliver a message, saying that Madam Wang wanted Baoyu to come over.
Baoyu couldn't help but wonder if his "mother" had found out about his unauthorized departure. He'd heard that the rules of wealthy families were very strict, and in his memory, "Jia Baoyu" had almost been beaten to death by his father!
Could this "fake" Baoyu also suffer the same fate?
Anxious and uneasy, Baoyu followed Jin Chuan'er outside, hoping to glean some information from the girl. However, Jin Chuan'er remained indifferent, treating him like a stranger and ignoring him completely. This only made Baoyu more flustered, wondering when he had offended this charming and beautiful girl!
"Sister Chuan'er, please tell me what Mother wants to see me about, okay?" The two walked out of the "Yihong Courtyard" gate. Seeing no one around, Baoyu's feigned honesty vanished, and he stepped forward and grasped Jin Chuan'er's smooth, jade-like hand.
The young girl, however, was unmoved. Her jade-like face was frosty, and she shook off Baoyu's grasp with a flick of her hand
. However, her steps subtly veered off the main path, heading towards a forest trail. "Good sister, who made you angry? Tell me, and I'll get revenge for you!" Baoyu, with a roguish grin, chased after the girl, patting his chest confidently assuring her.
"Second Master Bao, don't call me that! I'm just a servant girl; I dare not be your 'good sister.' You should go back and call me 'Sister Hua'!" Jin Chuan'er stopped abruptly in the dense grove, plopping heavily onto a clean stone bench. Before she finished speaking, her eyes were already reddening.
The experienced Baoyu chuckled at this sight, finally understanding that the girl was jealous! Dealing with this was a piece of cake for him. He was about to launch into a "classic" confession when he caught sight of the sorrowful tears in Jin Chuan'er's beautiful eyes. His eloquent words instantly choked in his throat, and his playful thoughts were overwhelmed by the genuine emotions surging in his heart.
Chapter Twenty-Three: The Second True Feeling. Baoyu silently grasped the girl's delicate hand, pressing it against his chest. His voice, tinged with sadness, came from the depths of his heart as he softly asked, "Don't you understand my feelings?" Hearing Baoyu's deep voice, the girl's heart ached, tears welled in her eyes, and she sobbed silently. Slightly dissatisfied, she retorted, "I know you understand my feelings too. As long as you don't think I'm worthless, I've only ever loved you. But why haven't you sent me a single message these past few days?
And now you blame me for not understanding you!" Hearing this, Baoyu felt deeply remorseful. He had indeed neglected her these past few days. Although there were reasons, it was still his fault.
Thinking of this, Baoyu gently stepped forward and wiped away Jin Chuan'er's tears, his eyes filled with endless apology. "Chuan'er, I was wrong, don't cry! How about you hit me a few times to vent your anger?" Baoyu gently embraced the girl, wiping away the newly fallen tears from her face again. Jin Chuan'er could no longer suppress the surging emotions in her heart. With a soft "Ying," she leaned into his arms and cried loudly, releasing the doubts, fears, and bitterness that had been building up in her heart for the past few days!
Understanding the girl's complex feelings, Baoyu couldn't help but hug her tightly, giving Jin Chuan'er strong confidence with his powerful arms. The two embraced silently, without sweet words or flowery whispers, only strands of affection bursting forth from their hearts, intertwining in the void, finally weaving a perfect "net of love," trapping Baoyu and Jin Chuan'er within it, for all eternity, their devotion unwavering.
Baoyu gazed deeply at the second woman he had ever loved, his heart filled with warmth. A surge of passion overwhelmed his reason, and drawn by his true feelings, his burning lips slowly approached the girl's rosy lips.
Jin Chuan'er buried her face in her beloved's chest. Baoyu's obvious action made her heart tremble. Never having experienced such a scene before, the girl instinctively wanted to back down, but her pursuit of true love gave her immense courage. Her long, slightly upturned eyelashes trembled, her beautiful eyes half-closed, and she nervously awaited the arrival of that moving moment.
The heat of their breath was palpable. Jin Chuan'er's heart churned with emotion. Her jade-like hands gripped Baoyu's arms tightly, her rosy lips parted slightly, exhaling the burning passion that filled her heart.
Baoyu approached his target inch by inch, only to find the beauty panting heavily, her desire overwhelming. The delicate fragrance of the young girl, carried by her fiery breath, seeped into Baoyu's heart, igniting a burning passion within him. He felt a surge of heat in his mind; having abstained from women for many days, he could no longer control himself. His arms tightened, and he was about to "fiercely" kiss Jin Chuan'er.
Just as the heavens were about to ignite their passion, a sharp cry shattered their moment of intimacy.
"Ah! Second Uncle, what are you doing?" From behind a cluster of flowers, a bright-eyed, white-toothed girl of about twelve or thirteen emerged, looking at Baoyu and Jin Chuan'er with curiosity and confusion.
Caught off guard, the two were momentarily speechless, staring dumbfounded at the little girl who had appeared out of nowhere.
"Ah!" A moment later, Jin Chuan'er let out a piercing scream, her graceful body turning as if to flee.
Meanwhile, Baoyu, now fully awake, didn't take it to heart. Such things were child's play in the 21st century! He grabbed Jin Chuan'er's flustered hand and asked in a low voice, "What are you afraid of? Who is this girl?" The embarrassed girl blushed and said coquettishly, "Let go! How can you not even recognize her? She is Feng Er's daughter—Qiao Jie. What will happen if this gets to Madam's ears?!" The girl said as she forcefully broke free from Baoyu's hand.
"Don't be afraid, I'm here for you! I will never let you suffer even the slightest harm!" Baoyu comforted Jin Chuan'er in a low but firm voice. "Wait outside for a moment, I'll go see Mother with you later!" Baoyu's masculine words were like a spring breeze, instantly calming Jin Chuan'er's anxious heart. Her beautiful eyes sparkled with affection, and she nodded obediently, then shyly squeezed Baoyu's hand. "Actually, Madam didn't look for you. I just made an excuse to see you. You won't blame me, will you?" "Silly girl, it was my fault!" Baoyu's tender hand tightened slightly. "Then go back first! When the time is right, I'll ask Mother to let you come to my room, okay?" "Okay!" Jin Chuan'er's face flushed red. She looked at Baoyu with infinite happiness, letting go of all her worries, and happily walked out of the grove.
"Second Uncle, are you finished talking?" Qiao Jie stared at the two of them with her bright eyes, full of curiosity.
Seeing the little girl's innocent expression, Bao Yu's initial anger vanished. Faced with such a lovely, delicate face, how many people in the world could bear to reprimand her? Especially since she was "Sister Feng's" daughter!
"Qiao Jie, why did you come here alone?" Even though Bao Yu was thick-skinned, he was a little embarrassed and could only blush slightly as he tried to make conversation.
The little girl's bright black eyes darted around, and her clear, melodious voice was pleasant to hear. "Second Uncle, do you mean I shouldn't have come here?" Bao Yu thought to himself, truly worthy of being Sister Feng's daughter! Despite her young age, her speech was so eloquent. "I didn't think that way," Baoyu thought, his mind unexpectedly conjuring up the beautiful woman's radiant face. Her alluring eyes, seemingly both affectionate and indifferent, kept flashing through his mind. "How has Fengjie been lately?" "Mother is doing well, but she's in a bad mood," Qiaojie replied, looking aggrieved, clearly caught in the crossfire. "She had another argument with Father yesterday!" Baoyu was filled with mixed emotions of worry and joy, his heart churning, unsure of what to feel. Just as he was deep in thought, the little girl suddenly changed the subject, "You still haven't answered me? What are you and Sister Jin Chuan doing? Why are you hugging each other?" "This..." The embarrassed guy rubbed his hands together, his mind racing, "I got some sand in my eye just now, so I asked her to blow it out for me!" "Oh!" Qiao Jie's face twitched slightly. Bao Yu had just relaxed, but she hit the nail on the head, "I thought you two were being affectionate? Since it's about blowing sand out, I might as well tell Grandmother and the others, hee hee..."
Chapter Twenty-Four: Qiao Jie and Yu Chuan. The little girl's cheerful laughter sent a chill down Bao Yu's spine. He thought to himself, "Wow! This little girl is not easy to deal with. She really does have the genes of 'Spicy Sister Feng'!" "Heh, heh... Qiao Jie, be good. Just pretend you didn't see anything. Uncle will buy you delicious food and fun things, okay?" Bao Yu put on a "kind" smile, trying to win over this clever little girl. But his stiff, bitter smile looked more like that of a "wolf in sheep's clothing"!
Qiao Jie's eyes darted around, and she rested her chin on her hand, feigning thought. Before Bao Yu could finish his sentence, she abruptly said, "No! Mother taught me not to lie." Seeing Bao Yu's disappointed expression, a sly smile flashed in the girl's eyes. "However..." "However, what?" Seeing that Qiao Jie hadn't said anything more, Bao Yu had no choice but to willingly fall into her trap. "Tell me, I'll do whatever I can!" "As long as you give me good food and fun things every day, plus a good story every day, I'll forget everything I saw that day. It's settled then." The girl quickly increased the "bribe" many times over, and then added her "concluding remarks"!
"Alright!" Bao Yu had no choice but to grit his teeth and sign this unequal treaty, but a secret joy welled up inside him. This gave him an excuse to go see Sister Feng!
"Let's start tomorrow then. Goodbye, Second Uncle. Don't forget tomorrow's 'gift'," Qiao Jie cheerfully disappeared into the woods, shouting as she left, "Let's see if I can find such a good thing again? Hehe..."
The petite and adorable figure vanished, leaving only Baoyu standing there, his face contorted in misery. Good heavens! A good story every day—this was going to be longer and more miserable than "One Thousand and One Nights"!
Having finally "dealt with" Qiaojie—or rather, been easily "dealt with" by her—Baoyu dragged his weary body toward Lady Wang. Besides wanting to reassure Jin Chuan, he also longed to see this "Baoyu's" mother. Facing Lady Wang, he unconsciously identified himself as the real "Jia Baoyu," and the ordinary word "mother" held a profound impact on him. As an orphan, he always felt an extraordinary attachment and devotion to his "mother"!
Even the "fake" Baoyu himself was unaware that he actually had a severe "Oedipus complex," which is why he always preferred flirting with beautiful mature women in the 21st century, while avoiding and keeping his distance from inexperienced young girls.
Baoyu wandered around Lady Wang's residence, finding it deserted except for a few side rooms and a few maids. Just as he listlessly headed towards the door, Jin Chuan'er's lithe figure almost bumped into him at the doorway. Baoyu was overjoyed. "Chuan'er, where did Mother go? Don't worry, I've taken care of what happened earlier!" Jin Chuan'er was slightly taken aback, a hint of doubt flashing in her eyes, then a smile lit up her face as if she suddenly understood. "Madam went to pay her respects to the Old Madam!" Seeing that no one was around, the passion Baoyu had been suppressing in the woods suddenly flared up. He rose again, his arms clasped together, and he pulled the unsuspecting girl into his embrace. His tender whispers, like a spell, echoed in her ear, carrying endless allure, "My dear Chuan'er, let me kiss you again, no one will bother us!" "Giggle..." Instead of Jin Chuan'er's blushing and joyful face, nor her alluring red lips, he was greeted by the girl in his arms, whose smiling face resembled a blooming spring flower. Her delicate body trembled with intense laughter, and her melodious, bell-like laughter brought Bao Yu back to reality from his "sea of passion." He looked at the "strange" Jin Chuan'er with surprise and uncertainty!
"Second Master, let me go!" The young girl spun around smoothly, slipping out of Bao Yu's stiff hand. She looked at Bao Yu with a playful smile. "I've caught you! Let's see how you try to deny it now! No wonder I've felt something was off about her these past few days. She even kept it from her own sister!
Hehe..." "Sister?! Sister?!" Bao Yu inwardly cried out to the heavens, "Heavens! How could you play such a trick on me!" He vaguely remembered that when he was recuperating, Jin Chuan'er had mentioned her twin sister, Yu Chuan'er, many times. He hadn't asked too many questions for fear of giving himself away. He never expected to make such a huge fool of himself!
"Good sister, this..." The shameless fellow blushed, his handsome face turning red. He didn't know what to say and could only try to appease this mischievous "sister-in-law."
"What? Second Master, don't you call me 'Good Chuan'er' anymore?" Yu Chuan'er, who looked exactly like her sister, wasn't going to let him off so easily.
"Good sister, since you already know, I won't hide it from you anymore. I'm determined to be your brother-in-law." Baoyu's smile vanished as he solemnly assured Yuchuan, then his tone shifted, and he whispered a request: "But before I ask Mother for your sister, please don't let anyone else know, okay?" A flicker of joy and surprise flashed in Yuchuan's eyes. She was happy that her sister had someone to rely on for life, and surprised by Baoyu's boldness and decisiveness. No wonder her sister often said that Baoyu's personality had changed drastically since his serious illness; he had not only become very manly but also exceptionally bold and extraordinary!
Thinking of this, she couldn't help but be even happier for her sister. A playful feeling arose in her young heart. The "others" that Baoyu mentioned probably referred to Xiren, Qingwen, or perhaps Miss Lin, Miss Xue, or Miss Shi...
Seeing Yu Chuan'er "mischievously" identify a whole string of "girls," Bao Yu hurriedly shook his hands to prove his innocence. "Good sister, nothing like that! You'd agree if it were for your sister's sake, right?!" Yu Chuan'er's smile widened, feigning hesitation. "It's possible, but…" Oh no! Bao Yu cried out inwardly. Having learned his lesson from Qiao Jie, he didn't want to repeat it. A sudden idea struck him. Bao Yu looked behind the girl with delighted surprise. "Your sister's back!" Yu Chuan'er turned around at his words, but there was no one there. Just as she was about to turn and scold Bao Yu, she felt a gust of wind sweep past her. Bao Yu had already vanished around the corner of the courtyard gate, his last words carried on the wind: "Remember to tell your sister everything's taken care of!"
