Humanity Forbidden Island [Full Text] - 2

Chapter Fourteen: The Trap of Amputation

Sometimes, panic is more terrifying than the actual predicament. If we don't adjust everyone's mindset quickly, it's tantamount to waiting for death. I told them not to be afraid of the giant bear; having experienced the ordeal of drifting at sea and the test of life and death, they should be even stronger.

To avoid worrying me, they smiled and nodded, showing a certain resignation to their fate. Comforting them also relieved my own tension.

I said, "Yi Liang, come with me. We'll continue with last night's plan. Lu Ya and Chi Chun, stay in the cave and don't step out. The chances of wild animals attacking people during the day are slim, unless it's a hungry leopard."

Lu Ya's eyes were red; I knew she was timid and afraid of wild beasts. Chi Chun quickly took Lu Ya's head and held her in her arms to comfort her. I was grateful to this woman, older than me, who, despite her constant injuries and weakness, at least shared a lot of my mental burden.

Before leaving, I gave Chi Chun and Lu Ya each a pistol, just in case. Outside the cave, I moved several large stones to weigh down the wooden door.

Armed with our jungle rifle, Yi Liang and I ventured deeper into the island. She followed behind, also carrying the pistol I'd given her.

The forest was tall and dense, filled with lush, leafy plants. It was damp all around, and dew soaked both of us. I gripped Yi Liang's hand tightly, afraid of losing her if I turned around. Losing a companion in this primeval forest was incredibly painful.

I brandished my dagger, trying to cut through the vines that blocked our path. Some had sharp thorns, and Yi Liang's delicate skin was easily injured. She followed closely, afraid of being separated from me.

Our task today was to gather sea salt and spices. Fresh spices could be used to make porridge, and sea salt would help us maintain our strength and keep our hair black. We obtained it by drying seawater. Following the route we took to reach the island, it would take four or five hours to reach the beach. When we threw away the bear skeleton two days ago, we observed that crossing the edge of this dense rainforest took about an hour.

Holding Yi Liang's hand, I continued deeper into the forest. The scents changed; I detected the distinctive aroma of aromatic plants, wafting from the mudflats near the shore. I could faintly hear the babbling of a stream.

The intermittent light and darkness of the dense forest were particularly frightening. I held Yi Liang's hand tightly; gripping her small hand made her feel safe. I quickened my pace, leading her towards the aromatic plants.

Wherever there were overgrown plants blocking the way or narrow paths requiring touching to cross, I went first, then carefully guided Yi Liang through. She obeyed nervously yet obediently, accepting my protection.

Emerging from the dense rainforest, we came upon a wide stream, its turbulent flow indicating it headed towards the sea below the island. The aroma of the aromatic plants was stronger, suggesting they were nearby.

Recalling the observation from the cave ceiling, I roughly deduced that we were now on the edge of that vast primeval rainforest. I knew that the further we went, the greater the chance of encountering danger.

But for the sake of the spices, for our future survival, and to keep everyone from giving up hope, taking the risk was necessary; retreating meant certain death.

The air was thick with rising white steam, further emphasizing the ancient and mysterious nature of the ecosystem. I looked back at Yi Liang; she was covered in sweat, her dark eyes filled with unfathomable depth.

"Are you afraid?" I asked. She shook her head. I continued to gaze into the depths of her bright eyes; she seemed a little nervous. "Yes," she nodded again, speaking her mind.

"Yes, if you're afraid, tell me. Let me take the blame; it'll make things easier for you. Life and death are insignificant to me now; my only hope is to protect you all." I reached out and wiped the sweat from her forehead. She closed her eyes, letting me wipe it away.

I told her again, "Remember, if you get into the mud and something dangerous happens, you must run back as fast as you can, don't look back, and don't look at me. Only if you escape can I concentrate all my strength to fight."

Yi Liang's eyes reddened, tears welling up in her eyes, refusing to fall. She rested her head on my chest, hugged my arm, and said, "If you die, we won't survive. Don't leave me, I'm your woman."

I hadn't expected that a sixteen-year-old girl could understand emotions so deeply. I held her head tightly with my left arm, my eyes scanning our surroundings for danger. I wiped her wet eyes with my fingers.

"Yi Liang, you miss home, don't you? You secretly cried while hugging my back at night." Yi Liang nodded her head in my arms and hummed in agreement. "Do you know why I brought you out?" Yi Liang shook her head, indicating that she didn't know.

I told her, "Because I'm afraid. I'm really afraid that one day when I go back to the cave, I'll find you're all gone. Although Chi Chun was a Japanese woman who perished, from the moment I arrived on the island and realized we couldn't leave, I considered her family."

Yi Liang didn't speak, but turned her head closer to me, wiping her tears on my chest. I knew she understood, even grasped the deeper meaning of my words. I took her hand and started walking into the mud. I made Yi Liang walk in front of me, within my line of sight, as animals in the bushes tend to attack those behind.

The evaporation rate on the island is high during the day, and although the mud was damp, it wasn't a swamp anymore. I pushed Yi Liang's shoulder, making sure to walk on the lighter mud to avoid falling into the man-eating swamp.

Clumps of knee-high, tender plants were scattered about. I told Yi Liang to try to avoid those clumps, as they might harbor poisonous snakes or vicious insects. After crying in my arms, Yi Liang was much braver than before. She moved forward cautiously and boldly.

Earlier, while walking in the woods, I had whittled a stick about the thickness of my wrist, roughly two meters long, specifically to pry away small snakes slithering on the branches. The stick proved useful again; it poked into the muddy ground, and if it was hollow, we immediately moved away.

Yi Liang's shoulders were very soft; I gripped her shoulder, fully feeling the suppleness of her bones. If a python were to coil around such a body, it would quickly break the bones, causing suffocation.

I whispered to Yi Liang, "If there's any danger, immediately turn behind me and run back to the stream along the route we came from." Yi Liang nodded.

"Stop!" Yi Liang shuddered, letting out a soft "Ah," perhaps startled by me, or perhaps I had pinched her too hard. "Look at what's ahead?" I continued whispering to Yi Liang.

"A dead tree, half a trunk," Yi Liang said, thinking I couldn't see clearly. I said, "No, stepping on it will take half your leg. Don't move." The surrounding rainforest was still steaming, and the sun was shining particularly brightly.

Yi Liang noticed and swayed slightly. "A crocodile, a camouflaged crocodile," she said in a trembling voice.

It seemed the crocodile had been camouflaged for quite some time; its wide-open mouth was bleached white from the sun, its sharp teeth gleaming like the white of desert bones, haphazardly protruding. Its eyes resembled the eyes of a withered tree, and its broad jaw was like the bark of a poplar. Its body was covered in bluish-gray, white, and black scales, a mottled pattern distributed along its back and limbs, like ancient armor, extending from its broad skull to its tail. It

was about a meter and a half long, clearly a young male crocodile. I pulled Yi Liang behind me and told her to retreat twenty meters along the same route. She immediately and cautiously carried out my command.

I slowly crouched down, giving the crocodile the illusion that I hadn't discovered the trap. Then I untied the laces of my riding boots, took out a dagger, and securely fastened it to one end of a wooden stick.

When I first became stranded on a desert island, I learned from the natives how to hunt crocodiles with a spear. Now, I'm making a simple spear to hunt down this trap-setter.

After securing the dagger, I glanced back at Yi Liang to make sure the fight wouldn't harm her. Even if I couldn't defeat the young man, Yi Liang could still escape.

I moved slowly, using the nearby clumps of low bushes and weeds for cover. If the crocodile couldn't see my movements clearly, it wouldn't be on guard. I gently extended a stick with a sharp dagger at one end, close to its open mouth.

The jagged, sharp teeth were surrounded by a yellowish-brown upper and lower jaw. It had no tongue, and no visible throat. The stick had to be held firmly; it couldn't be touched before I could thrust it in, or it would immediately close its mouth and attack me.

The sun had soaked me to the bone, sweat constantly dripping into my eyes. I couldn't afford to be careless; I had to kill it with all my might. Perhaps its flesh would be enough for four days' worth of food.

Like aiming a gun, I aimed the sharp dagger at its mouth, pushed off with my feet, leaned forward, and thrust it in with all my might. I could feel the dagger slicing through its throat and plunging into its stomach with a slippery sound.

Suddenly, my wrists trembled violently, and my arms went numb. This meter-and-a-half-long crocodile had clamped its jaws tightly onto the stick and was rolling around. I dared not use too much force, afraid the stick would break inside its stomach. So I loosened my grip slightly, letting the stick roll with its body.

The crocodile must have been in excruciating pain, its heavy body, lying on the wet mud, resembled a dolphin leaping out of the sea and tumbling. Its hard back and yellowish-white belly twisted and turned, the more it twisted, the more intense the pain

became, but the crocodile seemed oblivious. Instinctively, it lunged forward repeatedly, the stick piercing deeper into its belly through its sharp teeth. Its struggles gradually weakened; I, too, had been sweating profusely and my arms ached from controlling its frenzy. It wasn't large, but the destructive power of its young life force was unexpected.

During the fight, blood gushed from its throat, spraying onto my arms and face. I rallied my strength again, thrusting the stick harder, trying to pierce its internal organs, to kill it completely, to prevent it from biting me with its last breath.

Sweat streamed into my eyes, blurring my vision, but by instinct, I maintained control of the fight. Finally, this stubborn, fierce creature was completely lifeless.

I wiped the blood from around my eyes, flipped the crocodile over with both hands, pulled out a second dagger, and began to dissect its abdomen. The internal organs and intestines were badly damaged; crocodile blood soaked through the shoelaces tied to the dagger.

I quickly untied them, secured them to my riding boots, so I could run away quickly if other wild animals were attracted by the smell of blood. The crocodile's belly emitted heat and a foul stench, but I was used to the smell of blood and didn't feel a strong urge to vomit.

Yi Liang was still in the distance, anxiously looking at me. I waved her away, signaling her not to come closer. Firstly, I was afraid the gruesome scene would frighten her; secondly, I was afraid another sudden danger would prevent her from running away—

Chapter Fifteen: The Heavy Run.

I separated the crocodile's skin and flesh with the dagger, threaded the fine meat onto a supple shrub branch, and slung it diagonally across my upper body, my nose filled with the aroma of fresh meat. As I stood up to call out to Yi Liang, I suddenly felt the muddy swirling in front of me.

Some grayish-white ground rippled, as if a gigantic creature slumbered beneath, violently bursting forth upon awakening. My consciousness blurred; I thought it was an island earthquake. But I didn't feel any tremors beneath my feet. Looking more closely at the clumps of grass ahead, my blood surged, and goosebumps rose on my skin.

"Run! Run for your life!" Yi Liang was too far away to see what I was seeing. But she knew this wasn't a joke; judging from my tone, there was definitely extreme danger.

Yi Liang was a shrewd girl, accurately retracing her steps and running at top speed. She knew that only by quickly escaping danger could she avoid holding me back. "Don't look back, run for your life!" I also ran rapidly along the original route. We had to run in a zigzag pattern towards the stream; running in a straight line would likely result in sinking into the mud and being swallowed.

The rustling and scraping sounds behind me grew clearer; I had to judge the speed at which I was being chased, determining how much faster I needed to accelerate before being grabbed and torn to pieces.

Hundreds of burly crocodiles, a dark, menacing mass, gaping jaws, lunged at me. Their powerful tails shattered the soil and grass, sending billowing dust into the air. It was the scent of my butchering that had attracted them.

At the carcass of the slain crocodile, dozens piled high, tearing at each other's flesh, while the others locked onto me, continuing their ferocious pursuit.

Yi Liang, being a frail girl, couldn't outrun me. In the instant we passed each other, I swiftly grabbed her from behind with my left arm, pulling her along as fast as I could.

At first, she screamed, thinking she'd been attacked. But when she saw it was me, she immediately relaxed, allowing me to increase our speed. The gun and the raw meat slung across my bare torso, rattling and slapping. Thankfully, the weapon was on safety; otherwise, it might have accidentally discharged, piercing my buttocks and legs.

I didn't want to abandon this hard-won food, nor did I want to be torn to pieces by hundreds of crocodiles. My only option was to run for my life. The wind whistled past my ears, and I felt like I was back on the battlefield, hundreds of enemies chasing and firing at me, while I dragged my wounded comrade away

. Bullets whizzed past my shoulders and ears. But dodging bullets was all about aim; veering to the left or right would result in serious injury or death. Now

, chased by hundreds of crocodiles, survival depended on speed. The nickname "Chaser" was earned through my extraordinary running speed on the battlefield, a skill I'd acquired by luck in dodging bullets, and it had been with me for eleven years. At this moment, I pushed my running speed to its limit, even surpassing my previous records, because Yi Liang was with me—she was my woman, and thus, she transcended my life and allowed me to transcend it; and there was precious food to sustain the lives of Lu Ya, Chi Chun, and the baby.

Bushes rustled beneath my legs; I didn't care if they had thorns. Fear and duty temporarily numbed me to pain. The stream appeared ahead. I ran rapidly, adjusting my pace, determined to leap high over the current.

The rush of wind behind me told me, without even looking, that the frenzied crocodiles were closing in. If I slipped, I'd never get up again. With a whoosh, I leaped with all my might, a leap as grueling as my mercenary training, clearing the towering obstacle. A

heavy thud followed. My legs went numb and throbbed with pain. Yi Liang was thrown from my arms. I didn't hesitate; I grabbed her from the ground, swung her over the high boulder in front of me, took two steps back to run up, and vaulted over it too.

Lying on the scorching hot rock, my body went limp, and I gasped for breath. Yi Liang sat up, shielding my eyes from the sun with her hands. Below the rock, the fastest, strongest crocodile had already crossed the stream, followed by the crashing of the water—hundreds of crocodiles had arrived. Fortunately, they couldn't jump or climb; they could only surround the boulder, their ugly, ferocious mouths bared in a show of defiance towards us.

This boulder was like God's life-saving hand, and the winding valley beside it was like God's arm reaching down from the sky. Yi Liang and I could climb up the rough, uneven rock face and escape the treacherous swamp from the other side.

We lay on the boulder for a full hour before slowly recovering, the rock surface burning my bare back. Yi Liang didn't say anything, but anxiously took care of me, wiping away my sweat. I slowly sat up, touched her shoulders and cheeks, and knowing everything was alright, I finally breathed a long sigh of relief.

Seeing that I had recovered, Yi Liang couldn't hold back any longer and suddenly threw herself into my arms, bursting into tears. She had been terrified by what had just happened. I hugged her, patting her frail back to soothe her.

Only then could I see clearly what lay beneath the boulder: hundreds of crocodiles, piled upon each other, their bluish-brown backs gleaming with scales. They varied in size, some less than a meter long, others three or four meters, their mouths gaping open in fury, their sharp teeth sending chills down my spine. Some, lured by the scent of my blood, scurried about, their eyes darting nervously.

I pressed my right hand against the back of Yi Liang's head, preventing her from looking down; the horrific sight would frighten her. Then we got up and climbed the slope of the valley. I followed behind Yi Liang, and when we encountered steep sections, I quickly supported her bottom with my hands to prevent her from suddenly tumbling down. The crocodiles below still refused to disperse.

The descent down the hillside was relatively smooth, but we needed to slow down. On the steeper sections, I climbed down first before taking over from Yi Liang. We abandoned our quest for spices and sea salt today, as the crocodile meat would sustain us for a few days.

Returning to the cave by the same route, it was nearly evening. I was pleased to see the wooden door at the entrance well-concealed. Inside, Chi Chun and Lu Ya were overjoyed to see us return safely. Lu Ya ran over and jumped into my arms, overjoyed.

"Yi Liang, you rest well. I'll gather some branches before dark to roast our food." With that, I cut off a large piece of crocodile meat with my dagger, roasted it over the fire for a while, and then carried it out of the cave.

I climbed a nearby tree, hung the half-cooked meat at a suitable height, quickly gathered some firewood, and hurried back to the cave.

Chi Chun, seeing my quick return, looked at me with curiosity in her gentle eyes. Knowing they had been hungry all day, I told them they could roast the crocodile meat that night, eat their fill, and then get a good night's sleep. If the giant bear still came to forage nearby at night, the crocodile meat hanging in the tree would confuse its sense of smell and delay its appetite. Unable to eat it, yet unwilling to leave, it would linger under the tree, drooling all night.

After hearing my words, everyone started laughing. Actually, I wasn't sure if it would work; it was like gambling with myself, but also to comfort the women and make them relax.

Although the crocodile skin was rough and ugly, the meat inside was nutritious and juicy. I sliced the meat thinly and stuck it to the red-hot stone; it would cook quickly. They used twigs to pick it up and eat it, becoming much happier.

That night, Luya still wanted me to hold her while she slept. After Yiliang lay down beside me, she proactively hugged my back, gently placing her soft arms on my ribs. Chi Chun could see that the two girls' attachment to me was becoming obvious, and she covered her pretty little mouth, giggling.

During the night, Chi Chun got up twice to urinate. Judging from her movements and breathing, she was already half-recovered; in about ten days, she would be like a healthy woman. Although I was exhausted, I couldn't sleep. I kept thinking about whether I could successfully trick the giant bear, and how to turn the swarms of crocodiles in the mudflats into food.

Crocodile meat was delicious, and its high salt content meant we wouldn't have to worry about sea salt. Moreover, the sheer number of crocodiles in that vast mudflat undoubtedly provided us with an endless supply of food.

However, the thought of our escape during the day sent chills down my spine. I couldn't fight them physically; bullets were precious, and shooting crocodiles wasn't a long-term solution. If I went into the dangerous mudflats again, like today, to hunt them with a crude spear, I probably wouldn't be so lucky to escape again.

What would happen to them and the children if something happened to me? It would be like pushing them into a desperate situation as well.

The women slept soundly; sometimes, a kind of comforting reassurance is justified. Luya had gotten used to sleeping in my arms, her soft, slender legs wrapped around my waist. She was only thirteen years old. If we could survive on the island for a long time… One day she'll grow into a beautiful young woman, and if she were to sleep nestled in my arms like she does tonight, I wonder what might happen.

Yi Liang worked hard all day, drenched in sweat. When I went to gather firewood, she had already bathed in the stream in front of the cave. Although I had told them not to leave the cave while I was away, Yi Liang wanted to wash herself clean and sleep close to me. How could I reprimand her? Allowing me to care for her but not forbidding her to care for me is a form of arrogant constraint.

I am the strongest in this cave, able to obtain food and protect the women, but without them, without their bodies and their love, my soul would suffer. Thinking of this, Lu Ya was already fast asleep. I gently pulled my arm away, turned over, and held Yi Liang in my arms.

Yi Liang had cried on my back before, but I hadn't cared about her tears then; I only wanted to focus all my energy on protecting them. Now, I could forget about the giant bear and the crocodile, and wholeheartedly embrace Yi Liang, my little fiancée.

Her forehead was fair and delicate, her lips and teeth beautiful. I didn't know how to express my care to a beautiful girl who was fast asleep, so I simply kissed her forehead with my lips. I hoped she wouldn't have nightmares, wouldn't miss her family, and wouldn't cry alone in secret—

Chapter Sixteen: Love in Torment

The moonlight outside the cave was soft; it hadn't rained on the island for the past few days. I imagined the giant bear circling under the tree, drooling over the piece of meat hanging high in the air. In a little while, it would be dawn; it seemed the danger wouldn't come.

Yi Liang woke up once in the night and found me holding her. A sweet smile appeared on her lips, and I kissed her forehead again, letting Yi Liang feel my love. She hugged my arms tightly, and I hugged her even tighter.

Yi Liang's forehead was soft, and my chin rested on the smooth bridge of her nose. Her warm, moist breath caressed my neck, then bounced back and I inhaled it. A sweet, girlish scent filled my brain and heart.

My consciousness churned, my thoughts began to spin, and Yi Liang's soft body surged in my arms. She pressed her lower abdomen and chest against me with excitement, caressing my strong physique as if trying to merge into me.

Lu Ya slept soundly, her even breathing softly echoing behind my head. One of her legs was draped around my waist, just like Yi Liang had done the previous nights, hugging my back. I could feel Lu Ya's half-ripe private parts against my waist, radiating a moist warmth. I dared not move, afraid of waking this innocent and adorable little one.

Yi Liang's caresses in my arms gradually intensified, as if she were indulging in the pleasure of scratching an itch, her breathing becoming slightly rapid. Yi Liang's hair was very soft, brushing against the tip of my nose, the delicate fragrance of a young girl's hair emanating from her head and filling my nostrils.

My lung capacity is large, and my strong, elastic pectoral muscles rise and fall with my breath, constantly colliding with her proud, erect breasts, feeling the surging milk within. Her fragrant, soft breasts sometimes harden, sometimes soften, continuously.

Yi Liang's breathing continues to quicken, and my Adam's apple is moistened by her warm, moist breath, causing me to swallow involuntarily and clench my teeth. She curls one leg up, her knee pushing open my closed legs, and slips inside. The

warm, moist sensation of her moist, tender organs rubbing against my abdomen is far greater than the feeling Lu Ya gave my lower back. The soft flesh at the base of Yi Liang's thigh is already pressed against my most masculine organ.

My lower abdominal muscles bulge, and Yi Liang keeps writhing her delicate body wrapped in my arms, instinctively seeking friction. Her pants are very thin, made of a thin layer of cotton thread, and the newly developed private parts of a young girl release even more heat and moisture, stimulating my abdomen.

I don't know when my male organ became engorged and swollen. Due to my passive sleeping position, it was stuck up at an angle in my pants. The skin around my genitals felt a little uncomfortable, but the tip felt the soft flesh of Yi Liang's inner thigh, and waves

of pleasure began to circulate. Yi Liang, this sixteen-year-old girl, my little fiancée, was so intimately excited and eager to give herself to me for the first time. And I could only remain motionless, sparingly accepting her warm , surging flow.

My rough fingers began to caress her delicate back, but I dared not move too much, for fear of waking Lu Ya behind me and Chi Chun beside me. The muscles of my protruding lower abdomen twitched involuntarily, cooperating with the caress of her hot, moist private parts, feeling the sticky wetness clinging to them.

My fingers slid down to the tailbone of Yi Liang's spine and stopped, not returning to the starting point. Drawn by the moist heat between her buttocks and thighs, with boundless curiosity and exploration, I gently touched it.

My index and middle fingers gently scraped the heat source under the thin cotton thread, causing the girl's warm, sticky love juice to seep out. Yi Liang's plump, delicate body twitched in my arms with each touch of my fingertips, accompanied by soft panting.

I gently lifted my touching fingers, my thumb instinctively rubbing against my index and middle fingers, feeling the lubrication. Suddenly, Yi Liang arched her neck, her nose pointing upwards, her warm lips slightly parted, murmuring a request.

Lu Ya's slender legs were still firmly draped over my waist; I dared not move, only quietly waiting for Yi Liang's fragrant lips to arrive.

The instant her lips touched mine, a soft, warm tongue slid into my mouth. At that moment, I also lost control and jerked my body slightly. My hand, which had been caressing Yi Liang's buttocks, immediately withdrew, cupping her cheek and drawing her kiss deeper into my mouth.

Her fingers, which had been touching mine, were very close to my nose. I smelled the soft, sticky fluid secreted from her private parts, mixed with the unique dampness of her genitals and the scent of urine—a faint, fresh, and slightly pungent aroma filling my breath.

It was the scent of Yi Liang's sixteen-year-old private parts, secreted for me. I felt infinitely grateful to her, grateful for her feminine softness, grateful for this scent that proclaimed health and allure.

Her tongue, once inside my mouth, was captured by mine, entwining around its softness, sucking its moisture. Our lips pressed together forcefully, swirling and falling into a vortex of love.

Suddenly, Chi Chun's baby whimpered and began to cry. I immediately stopped kissing and pulled my neck closer. Under the shelter of my broad shoulders, Yi Liang withdrew her tongue, which had been wrapped around the baby, and slowly curled up, burying her head

in my chest. I heard Chi Chun get up; she picked up the child and rocked him gently. A rustling sound of clothes, and the baby's whimpering lips moved slightly before ceasing to cry. It must have been Chi Chun taking out her full, plump breasts and placing her juicy, brown nipples into the child's mouth, bringing silence to the surroundings.

This reminded me of our days of escape at sea, that moment of extreme thirst when Chi Chun, with her nipples still carrying the scent of breastfeeding, squeezed into my parched mouth, her soft, tender breasts rubbing against my cheeks. Recalling these memories, my taste buds conjured a variety of flavors: Yi Liang's saliva, and the sweet, almost fishy taste of milk overflowing from her smooth saliva.

Yi Liang's warm breath gently patted my chest again. Dawn was approaching; Chi Chun probably wouldn't be sleeping anymore. I pretended to be awakened by the baby's cries, gently sat up, and glanced outside the cave, finding nothing amiss.

Seeing me awake, Chi Chun's gentle eyes returned to me, landing on my bare, muscular back. Turning back to look at Chi Chun, a sweet smile graced her beautiful, weary face. I gently removed Lu Ya's soft legs from my waist, squatted down beside Chi Chun, and looked at the nursing baby.

The little one, probably awakened by hunger, was greedily suckling at the offered nipple with its tiny eyes squinted. The light inside the cave gradually dimmed the glow of the firewood, revealing the dawn's light. Chi Chun's fair skin flowed smoothly down her full breasts to her cleavage, the scent making the taste buds of my memories even clearer, and my mouth tasted the sweetness of breast milk from my memory.

I stroked the baby's little head; the newly grown hair still had a touch of lanugo. For some reason, Chi Chun reached out and stroked my cheek, gazing at me with a dreamy look. When her delicate fingers touched my cheek, I felt a slight pain. It was a long, drawn-out scratch from the thorns on the branches I'd been running during the day, now being gently caressed by Chi Chun.

The seabirds on the island called out their clear cries again; it was dawn. The giant bear hadn't bothered us, giving me plenty of time to prepare. Before embracing Yi Liang, I had already planned for the day.

The fire in the cave was still burning weakly, so I added some dry wood to make it burn brighter. I carved four pieces of crocodile meat with my dagger to bake for breakfast. To survive, I needed enough energy.

The aroma of meat gradually filled the cave. Lu Ya rolled over, rubbing her sleepy eyes as she sat up. Seeing me baking food, she happily squatted down beside me. "It smells so good! Can I have this piece?" I replied with a smile, "Why? Every piece here is the same." She picked up a small twig and playfully poked the piece of roasted meat she liked, saying, "This piece looks good, and it tastes delicious."

"Hehe." Chi Chun was amused by Lu Ya's innocence, and I laughed too. "Well, you can eat it if you like, but only one piece per person." Lu Ya was very happy to hear my words and turned back to make a playful face at Chi Chun, who was laughing.

She didn't know that just now, while one of my legs was draped over my waist as I slept, Yi Liang and I had secretly become intimate. If it weren't for Lu Ya, I really don't know how I would have been unable to resist exploring Yi Liang's body.

After breakfast, I came out with my jungle rifle and firmly kept them inside the cave to prevent wild beasts from entering. I wondered how the piece of crocodile meat that was hanging in the tree last night was doing. I had to go and check it out. If the meat was still there and hadn't been eaten by a giant bear or other wild beasts, I would retrieve my food.

Walking a short distance from the large tree, I noticed the meat hanging from the branches was gone. Unable to determine what had eaten it, I approached to observe and deduce.

It was a thick palm tree, its dark yellow bark, covered in fine hairs, curled upwards. Several pieces of bark had fallen near the base, revealing pale wood beneath, surrounded by scratches. The soil behind the palm tree was damp, with raised mud mounds bearing the footprints of large animals.

A fight must have taken place there last night; the paw prints suggested one was a giant bear, while the other resembled a wild boar. The muddy hoof prints indicated the boar was also quite large.

Perhaps one of them was attracted by the half-cooked meat, unable to climb the tree and reach the food, so it lingered below, scratching and gnawing at the bark, foolishly believing its massive body could topple the palm tree and secure its meal.

However, a keen sense of smell isn't just an animal's gift; the other was also drawn by the aroma of meat. Both sides believed themselves to be the overlords of this territory, the kings at the top of the food chain, and ended up fighting. Judging from the bristles and flesh on the ground, the wild boar was ultimately killed, its carcass becoming food for the giant bear, which carried it away, its whereabouts unknown.

The crocodile meat was probably knocked to the ground and eaten during the fight, or perhaps carried away by a leopard cat or seabird.

This filled me with immense joy, and a brilliant plan to deal with the giant bear flashed through my mind. Since the wild boar had been eaten by the giant bear and dragged away as spoils, I would make this threatening creature pay the same price—

Chapter Seventeen: The Bait for Revenge

. Back in the cave, I told Luya to bring the two largest pieces of crocodile meat, and handed her and Yiliang some banana leaves. "Wrap the meat up and tie it securely with vines." After I finished speaking, Yiliang picked up the leaves and did as I said, a smile she hadn't worn before playing on her lips. Lu Ya asked curiously, "Will the food taste good this way?"

I looked up at her, and she looked back at me, her big eyes questioning, blinking at me. "It's bait. After wrapping it up, we'll cover it with mud." After saying that, I continued to lower my head and whittle the sticks.

The baby was asleep, and Chi Chun quietly came over, wanting to help wrap the meat. The pain in her lower body had disappeared, and she was now in the recovery phase. I watched Chi Chun's actions; she didn't look at me, but smiled at Lu Ya and Yi Liang.

Chi Chun didn't look at me because she was afraid I would worry about her recovery and wouldn't let her participate in the work. Wrapping meat wasn't heavy physical work, so I didn't say anything and continued to whittle the sticks I had brought back. Each stick was about the thickness of a wrist, the wood was hard, and I chopped it into one-meter lengths, then sharpened one end with a dagger.

The three women worked on their tasks while laughing happily. Soon, I had carved out forty sticks, then went outside the cave to fetch some wet mud. They

used the mud to seal the fresh meat, then wrapped it in banana leaves. I tied the sticks together with hemp vines, and they prepared the meat according to my instructions. "Go wash your hands outside the cave, and hurry back. I'll block the cave entrance. Yi Liang, come with me."

Lu Ya grabbed my arm, pouting and shaking it vigorously, expressing her dissatisfaction that I only took Yi Liang and not her. I glanced at Chi Chun; she understood what I meant. She immediately pulled Lu Ya aside, patted her head, and led her outside to wash her hands.

I don't know how Chi Chun comforted Lu Ya, but this innocent girl hugged me as soon as she came in, saying, "Come back soon, Chi Chun and I will wait for you." I patted her head, hummed in agreement, and went out with Yi Liang to move stones and secure the cave entrance.

I slung the bundled wooden stick over my shoulder, two pieces of bait hanging from my arm, and set off again, retracing the route we took yesterday in search of spices. My jungle rifle hung around my neck, and Yi Liang clutched her pistol. I held a long wooden pole for catching snakes in one hand and her small hand in the other.

"Let me carry the bait?" Yi Liang asked, seeing how heavy my load was. "Our bodies are different. The bait will be heavy for you, just like the stick I'm carrying. Don't worry, I'm strong. A couple more pieces of flesh are nothing. We can't let your frail body suffer just to make things easier. If there's a sudden danger, neither of us can run." I tried to speak to Yi Liang in hushed tones to ease her fear. I squeezed her hand tightly, feeling her palm against mine, letting her feel me too.

The danger of yesterday's muddy swamp still sends chills down my spine, let alone for a girl. This was no longer jungle warfare like in the mercenary era, where teammates relied on mutual cover to ensure their safety, no matter how dangerous.

I couldn't make any such demands on Yi Liang. She wasn't a killing machine trained by demons; she was just a sixteen-year-old girl, a fragile woman, my woman.

Along the way, I had already used a wooden pole to pry open four or five snakes coiled on the branches. Their patterns were a strange mix of red and green, their tongues flicking; one of them was a viper, its venom capable of killing instantly.

"Don't worry about me. Just focus on walking. I'm not afraid to go anywhere with you. Since becoming your bride last night, I'd be happy even to die," Yi Liang said, seeing my concern for her and comforting me instead.

I nodded, telling Yi Liang that I understood, that I understood her feelings for me. Although she was three years older than Lu Ya, physically mature, and possessed the passionate nature of a woman, she was still quite ignorant about matters between men and women, which made me find her truly adorable.

Gradually, we heard the rushing stream again and smelled the fragrance of aromatic plants. Reaching the boulder that had saved us yesterday, I set down the weight on my shoulders. "Come on, Yiliang, let me carry you up." Without asking any questions, Yiliang snuggled into my arms. I lifted her to the top of the boulder, then carefully placed the bait on top. Luckily, it was securely wrapped; otherwise, the smell of fresh meat would have attracted venomous snakes and wild beasts as we passed through the woods.

I drew my dagger, turned, and cut off two large banana leaves from behind me, handing them to Yiliang. "You stay up there and watch over the bait. Don't break the surface layer of mud. I'll move stones in the stream below, at least fifty meters away from you. Stand on the top of the boulder and observe your surroundings, especially the bushes in the large muddy area opposite." Yiliang nodded vigorously, looking at me with unwavering determination.

Then I said to her, "I'll look up at you from time to time. If it's safe, sway the banana leaf from side to side. If there's danger, sway it up and down. Don't shout, it might attract trouble. No matter what danger I encounter, you're not allowed to come down. If I can't go back with you, you have to climb back through the valley behind us, don't go through the woods."

Before I finished speaking, two streams of hot tears rolled down her cheeks, splashing onto the rocks below.

"Don't cry, I'm just saying in case, it won't be that easy to fall here. Don't come down, you can't help this time, don't make me feel restricted. Understand?" I said to her in a low, cold voice. She tried hard to hold back her tears, biting her lip to suppress her sobs, and nodded vigorously at me.

After choosing a 20-meter section of the stream nearby, I stood in the middle and started moving stones. The rushing water kept crashing against me. I bent down, took out a large stone weighing a hundred pounds, and threw it onto the bank. The stones in this stream were weathered and eroded down from the upstream mountains. They varied in size and shape, generally weighing between fifty and one hundred pounds.

For my physique, this was like Lu Ya holding Chi Chun's baby—the same weight ratio. I tried to hurry, picking stones out of the stream to complete the plan as soon as possible. For everyone's safety, I had to get back to the cave before dark.

The stream lapped against my back, and the muscles in my hands, lifting the stones, bulged. My two large pectoral muscles were unusually swollen, protruding to the level of my nose. For boulders weighing four or five hundred pounds, I used leverage and the current to roll them downstream.

Some stones were slippery, or the current suddenly intensified, causing me to slip and fall. Each time, I could see Yi Liang standing on a distant boulder, her waving hands suddenly stopping. Her heart and eyes were drawn to me. I quickly waved to her, indicating that she wasn't worried, that I was alright, and then gestured around to remind her to stay alert and not lose focus. She nodded to me from afar and continued to look around.

Five hours passed. My rough palms began to burn, and blisters appeared on my thick calluses, causing a slight pain. I had scooped up almost all the stones from the bottom of the ditch, and standing on flat ground, I could no longer see the splashing water; the stream had sunk deeply.

I returned to the boulder where Yiliang had been standing, smiled at her, and she smiled back at me tenderly when she saw I was safe. I picked up the large bundle of sticks I had carried. "Yiliang, keep an eye on the surroundings. I might not see you for a while. If you spot any danger, shout immediately to alert me." With that, I slowly descended into the ditch I had dug. It was quite wide, about two meters deep, and twice my arm's span in width.

I inserted the sharpened sticks, their tips pointing vertically upwards, into the crevices in the rocks at the bottom of the ditch, placing two sticks within a meter of each other, trying to center them as much as possible. After everything was ready, I climbed up the stream and looked back. Below this twenty-meter stretch, a dense row of arm-thick thorns stretched out. I felt a great sense of accomplishment. Looking back at Yi Liang on the boulder, we both laughed happily.

To save time, I reached out and hugged Yi Liang, wanting her to help me with the rest. She was delighted, wrapping her arms around my neck, reluctant to get down. I used a dagger to cut thin branches, while she stood beside me cutting banana leaves. Then we laid the branches and leaves across the stream to conceal the trap below.

To further confuse those foolish and greedy creatures, we added small stones and bushes to the supports for the most realistic effect.

I lifted Yiliang back to the top of the boulder and told her not to come down. I dropped one of the two baits down, tied it securely with a long hemp vine, and said to Yiliang, "I'm going into the mudflats. Don't worry, this time it'll be hard for them to bite me. Observe the bushes and grass there. If they keep shaking, it means a group of crocodiles is coming. You need to immediately shake the banana leaf up and down. If the crocodiles are running very fast, you need to shake it very quickly so I can make a judgment. If there is no movement, shake it slowly from side to side." Yiliang's eyes flickered; I could tell from her expression and eyes that she was worried about me.

I recalled the path I had taken that day and then walked into the mudflats. The surrounding environment reminded me of the time I was chased and bitten by a large group of crocodiles, and I felt a chill run down my spine.

After walking about thirty meters into the mudflats, I stopped. The grass ahead was too dense; if I continued, I would easily be surrounded by crocodiles and attacked from behind. I brushed the mud off the bait, tore open the leaves wrapping the fresh meat, took two steps back, and swung it forcefully into the deeper mud.

I still clutched one end of the hemp vine binding the bait in my hand. Looking back at Yi Liang, I waved to signal her to be careful. My eyes remained fixed on the movement ahead. There was no wind, so the scent of the bait wouldn't easily spread, but I dared not be careless, constantly observing my surroundings. When

I couldn't see far, I looked back at the signal flag Yi Liang was holding. She waved the leaves from side to side, like a beautiful maiden dancing gracefully.

While digging the ditch and setting the trap, the cool stream water had kept me from feeling the heat. But now, it was the hottest time of day, the sun blazing down, making my cheeks and back ache.

I then remembered that Yi Liang had endured the long hours of scorching sun, yet still smiled at me. A surge of tenderness welled up inside me; I wanted to run back and hug her tightly.

But now is a matter of life and death, not the time for sentimentality, otherwise I would harm myself, Yi Liang, and everyone else—

Chapter 18: The Trap Piercing Through Flesh

. Sweat seeped into my eyes again, causing pain and affecting my vision. Whenever I was unsure of the safety of my surroundings, I immediately looked back at the signal Yi Liang had given me. I didn't know when Yi Liang's swaying of the banana leaves changed; she was now shaking them rapidly up and down.

I immediately sensed the danger, turning back to look at the muddy swamp, my heart pounding. The scene of being chased and bitten by hundreds of crocodiles yesterday flashed through my mind again. The bushes in the distance began to tremble, mud and grass swirling upwards. I felt the air currents shifting on my face; those menacing creatures must be a formidable force, even stirring up the surrounding air.

I couldn't wait any longer; the crocodiles would soon reach the bait. I grabbed the hemp vine, turned, and ran. I could feel the fresh meat rubbing and vibrating against the muddy ground. My legs pounded, the wind whistling past my ears. I didn't have time to look back; I only felt the billowing dust behind me, mixed with the low growls of hundreds of beasts. I couldn't let those ferocious creatures bite the bait, or all my preparations would be in vain.

Reaching the twenty-meter stretch of the ditch, I leaped across, my feet touching the ground before I darted forward again. The hemp vine slid through the half-open trap, its end still tugging at the fresh meat. My bare upper body stung from the scratches of the low branches, and I desperately sprinted towards the large tree I had initially chosen, climbing frantically higher and higher.

Only when I could no longer climb the thin branches at the top did I stop, frantically looking behind me. There it was again—those hundreds of crocodiles from yesterday, charging menacingly at the bait. Because of their varying sizes, the smaller crocodiles, barely a meter long, were rammed and knocked over by the larger, faster ones, their bellies and backs rolling in the muddy water, alternating between black and white. Once they regained their footing, they adjusted their attack and continued their assault.

I could sense that some of the larger crocodiles still harbored resentment for not catching me yesterday. I straddled the thick trunk, frantically trying to wrap my arms around the hemp vines. The bait quickly crossed the trap, and dozens of large, well-fed crocodiles charged in. Their massive bodies, weighing three or four hundred pounds, thudded through the ditch, snapping branches and being pulled down by gravity. A

muffled wail and howl followed from the bottom; I think at least five or six bodies had already given way. Their enormous weight betrayed their lives; they were most vulnerable to these traps. I quickly gestured to Yi Liang, telling her not to look down, to stand back, and not to slip. She was indeed terrified standing alone on the boulder, because that spot was closest to the trap, the horrific scene right before her eyes.

Yi Liang leaned back as far as she could on the boulder, crouching down and covering her eyes and ears with her hands. The number of crocodiles was astonishing. Standing atop this large tree, looking out over the vast, undulating muddy ground, mud and water splashing everywhere, crawling forward. It was like when I was in Bangkok, standing atop a skyscraper on a sniping mission, looking down at the cars speeding and weaving through the traffic.

Staring at hundreds of crocodiles running at breakneck speed for too long would make you dizzy and fall off a tree. I quickly shook my head to clear my head. The area they were attacking was vast, the front line about forty meters wide. The unfortunate ones in the middle had already fallen into the trap, while those on either side were splashing through the flowing stream, darting into the woods to try and snatch that piece of meat.

I dared not pull back the vines, afraid of luring the crocodiles to my tree, surrounding me, and starving me to death. After all, I didn't have the agility of a gibbon, leaping through the trees and infuriating the patient hunters below. The crocodiles could only roam freely in the mud, stirring up the water or smashing through the low bushes.

And this stream was like the Chu River and Han Border on a Chinese chessboard; once the crocodiles crossed it, they were like pawns on the defensive. Because jungle running is my forte, I could easily leap over the twisted, overgrown tree roots without slowing down. The ferocious crocodiles had too low a stance to roam freely in the woods.

If they weren't careful, they could get stuck in a tangled mass of tree roots, and no matter how hard they struggled with their powerful hind legs, they couldn't escape—it was like a natural shackle and cage for them. The bait was quickly snatched up by the crocodiles, who were piled up like a human pyramid. Those who had eaten began to strut back with their necks held high; those who hadn't eaten still wiggled their mouths, hoping to find some scraps of meat.

After searching for a long time without success, they swayed their large tails, raised their thick necks, and blinked their brownish-red amber eyes, surveying their surroundings. Feeling somewhat unfamiliar, and seeing most of their companions, having eaten their fill, heading towards the mud, they lost their confidence and sheepishly scurried back in a group.

Yi Liang was still crouching on the boulder, her hands covering her eyes, trembling. The camouflage of the twenty-meter-long ditch trap had mostly collapsed. About half an hour later, I carefully examined the ground and saw that most of the crocodiles had retreated into the mud. I gently called to Yiliang, "Yiliang, don't be afraid, the crocodiles have retreated. Stand up, observe the surroundings, and give me a signal flag; I'm going down the tree." As soon as she heard my voice, she stood up immediately, observed carefully for a while, and then swayed a banana leaf from side to side.

I knew it was safe. I climbed down the tree, put away the hemp vines, and cautiously walked to the trap to check. More than twenty burly crocodiles were trapped underneath. Some had their bellies pierced, with wooden sticks protruding from their backs, the tips dripping blood. Some were in even worse condition; the sharp points of the sticks had pierced their jaws and protruded from their eyes, their eyeballs hanging outside their sockets, drooping downwards, black blood gushing out continuously. They didn't even have the strength to open their mouths and roar at me.

A few lucky crocodiles had only their hind legs pierced and were still writhing and struggling. Looking up from one end of the ditch, these once ferocious monsters now resembled pitiful geckos nailed to a wall. There was even a pair of unfortunate brothers, their bodies stacked on top of each other, impaled on the same wooden stick like the hour and minute hands of a clock.

The ditch water cascaded over their bodies, constantly washing away the blood gushing from their wounds. The ripples downstream turned a slightly pale red. I picked up the long pole I used to pull out snakes and stood on the edge of the ditch, poking and tapping one after another. Some of the crocodiles, not seriously injured, were still swinging their large jaws, trying to bite the stick, their eyes burning with extreme rage. They probably wanted to tear me off before they died, to vent their anger.

I could sense their intentions, so I was extra careful; if I accidentally slipped in, I could easily be torn to pieces. These few, the ones charging ahead, were large and agile, probably leaders in their group. But now, caught in my trap, their deaths were only a matter of time. The hundreds of crocodiles back in the mudflats will probably be re-ranking themselves for the title of crocodile king.

Luckily, I have a habit of checking the battlefield. The last four or five meters of the trap creek section are still partially covered by camouflage, very close to the boulder where Yi Liang is standing. Judging from my expression, I've had a good haul. Yi Liang is very happy to see me, her eyes filled with joy and eagerness. I quickly waved, firstly to congratulate her, and secondly to warn her to be vigilant and observe carefully, as it could be very dangerous if a few crocodiles sneak out from the mudflats.

I continued poking and prodding the injured crocodiles with the long pole to check their vitality. Suddenly, a gust of wind rushed towards me, and a surprisingly large crocodile swung its jaws, almost biting my knee. It was nearly four meters long, with sharp and huge teeth, a thick neck that far exceeded the proportion of its body and tail, and glossy scales on its broad back that shimmered with a bluish-gray luster, indicating its health and strength, giving off an intimidating aura that suggested it was the undisputed king of crocodiles. I quickly dodged backward, staggering a few steps and nearly falling. If it weren't for my quick reflexes and agility, I would have been pulled down and severed in half.

In my panic, I couldn't help but let out a cry of alarm; the hairs on the back of my spine stood on end, and cold sweat poured down my back. Yi Liang was startled by my reaction and hurriedly shouted, "Quick, get up here!" I jumped up and leaped onto the boulder to observe the creek. After my racing heart gradually calmed down, I realized that the giant crocodile had slipped into the trap, its body half-stuck, not yet pierced. It had just swung its tail and opened its mouth to bite me, but now it was completely inside.

I had to kill it quickly, otherwise the bleeding crocodiles inside would be eaten, and they would be my food. I untied the laces from my riding boots, tied the dagger tightly to one end of the long pole, and, like last time, made a rough but sturdy spear. Actually, I could have shot it in the eye, but for the long term, I had to be careful with every bullet.

This giant crocodile must be incredibly imposing normally, but now, having fallen to the bottom of the ditch and seeing the tragic state of its companion, its limbs went limp and it dared not move. I crouched down by the stream, made sure I was steady, and slowly lowered the tip of my spear. I had wrapped the dagger at the end of the pole with a banana leaf, because its sharp, cold gleam could easily make the crocodile nervous and cause it to squirm back and forth.

The giant crocodile's nostrils flared as it panted heavily. The stream water crashed against its eyes, causing its natural protective membranes to rise and fall repeatedly, shielding its eyeballs. The rod tip approached, but the crocodile remained unresponsive. It must have thought I was provoking its hard armor with a branch covered in banana leaves; its nonchalant demeanor seemed to express disdain and contempt.

My heart clenched to its limit, and I gathered strength in my legs and waist, channeling it into my shoulders. In a flash, I gritted my teeth and plunged the spear into one of its large brown eyes, then swiftly withdrew the rod. This time, unlike my previous method of hunting young crocodiles, stabbing a giant crocodile headfirst was too risky.

The crocodile's explosive force could easily break the rod, or even injure me, causing me to fall into the creek. To contend with it was as foolish as trying to catch a trout swimming upstream. My goal was to blind the giant crocodile, not to naively kill it—

Chapter Nineteen: Primal Tranquilizer.

The moment the sharp dagger pierced the crocodile's eyeball, my hands gripping the spear shaft could clearly feel the tough material cutting into my retina. The dagger was pulled back quickly, but my arms were still numb from the crocodile's frantically shaking head; after all, the blinding pain was excruciating. It thrashed violently in the creek, its massive body splashing water vertically upwards like a fountain suddenly electrified in a plaza. My entire upper body was soaked, water streamed down my hair and from my nose, blurring my vision.

"Come on up!" Yi Liang called urgently, worried. I jumped up quickly, and Yi Liang immediately threw herself into my arms. Although she was standing on top of the boulder, out of the crocodile's reach, she could clearly see the danger and bloodshed, especially her worry for me. Stroking Yi Liang's head, I nervously watched the creek. The moment I blinded the giant crocodile, I was terrified it would leap out of the creek. Needless to say, the consequences of a bite were unimaginable; its nearly half-ton body alone would have been enough to severely injure me.

The crocodile was still violently writhing and thrashing in the creek, causing the pebbles on the bank to vibrate and slide into the creek. Luckily, I had just stepped onto solid rock; otherwise, I would have tumbled down with the pebbles. Yi Liang's soft chest pressed tightly against mine, our rapid heartbeats resonating. I figured her fear was greater than mine, so I kissed her forehead to calm her down.

Water jets continued to pelt up from the bottom of the creek, some even splashing onto the boulders, wetting Yi Liang and me as we huddled together. I quickly used my strong arm to cover Yi Liang's head against my chest, preventing the large splashes from hurting her cheeks. A moment passed, and the thrashing in the creek gradually subsided. I guessed the giant crocodile had adjusted to the pain of being blind.

I gently patted Yiliang, telling her not to be afraid, and jumped down from the boulder to check the creek. My heart was pounding with tension, terrified that this enormous creature might have a scheme, waiting for me to get close before leaping up and swallowing me whole. I didn't lie directly on the edge of the creek to look, but instead went to the other side, keeping my distance from danger.

The giant crocodile lay across the bottom of the creek, the rock walls on either side too narrow for its massive frame, compressing its body. Now I was certain the crocodile couldn't jump out of the creek; the space was cramped, and the rushing water and slippery rocks made it impossible for it to gain leverage or climb. With this assessment, and a slightly renewed sense of confidence, I approached to examine its injuries, preparing to gouge out its second eye.

I picked up a banana leaf, washed the bloodied dagger with the stream water, wrapped it up, and crouched down, slowly approaching the crocodile. Many other crocodiles in the ravine had died, already impaled on spikes, awaiting their demise. But the giant crocodile, writhing in agony, cared nothing for their fear or the itch of their wounds, only focusing on its own violent struggle. The wooden stakes embedded in the rocks at the bottom of the ravine snapped in two, the force widening the wounds of the crocodiles that had been pierced. Several crocodiles with injured hind legs, however, were freed from their hold by the stakes. Although their wounds bled faster, they could now move.

Just moments before, I had worried that the giant crocodile would devour the food that should have been mine. Now, it seemed that anger and pain had driven away its fear and appetite. This ferocious creature staggered, leaning against the slippery rock wall at the bottom of the ravine, looking at me with its other eye, now a deep crimson. The eyeball pierced by the dagger had ruptured, and a jelly-like paste, like soy sauce and blood twisted together, kept sliding from its dark socket.

That once healthy eye, perhaps soaked in blood dissolved in the stream, glowed a terrifying crimson, a burning resentment swirling in its pupil. I was right in its line of sight; if I fell, it could still see the shape of my mangled remains through that eye. Or, if it managed to climb out, the hatred in that eye was enough to convince it that it would chase me to the ends of the earth to kill me. Even if I climbed back up that tall tree, it would relentlessly gnaw at the trunk from below, its teeth broken and lips torn, yet it would not let me go.

But now its sharp teeth were still intact, only the pain from the pierced eyeball had caused it to roll around, tearing the skin and flesh of its mouth, exposing its ferocious teeth, the broken lips sticky and refusing to be washed away by the stream.

The pole tip, concealing a dagger, slowly approached its mouth again. This time, the huge, ferocious creature no longer treated me with indifference; it grew restless and agitated, growling at the approaching spear with its wide-open mouth, repeatedly lunging forward with its front paws, trying to knock the sharp blade off the pole tip. It now knew what was wrapped in the banana leaf and was acutely sensitive to the pain of having its eyeballs pierced.

I could no longer easily injure its eyes as I had the first time. Standing on the edge of the ditch, I shifted my attack stance from side to side, unable to find the right moment. The sun shone even brighter. Sweat poured down my back and chest, and I grew increasingly anxious and uneasy. The bottom of the ditch was full of fresh crocodile meat, our precious food for survival. We would soon have to butcher it and find a way to bring it back to the cave. If we didn't hurry now, the danger of carrying such strongly scented food through the forest would increase many times over once darkness fell.

I couldn't kill the crocodile until it went blind. Throwing heavy stones at it wouldn't be very effective; it could retract its armor for protection. If I threw too many stones, it would climb up using them, and I'd be in serious trouble.

Just as I was racking my brains for a plan, Yi Liang suddenly cried out. "Ah! Quick! Come up quickly, hurry, hurry!" She practically jumped on top of the boulder, waving her long, thin arms as she called to me. I immediately turned around, thinking another crocodile had crept out of the mud and was lying in ambush. But apart from a few large, dark green rocks, I didn't see a crocodile.

I thought Yi Liang was just seeing things out of sheer panic. Looking at her again, I saw her jumping even more violently, her face filled with anxiety. Following the direction of her raised arm, I looked downstream. Good heavens! A giant bear, capable of terrifying anyone with just a glance, had appeared fifty meters downstream.

It was probably foraging downstream, smelling the blood of a crocodile in the stream, and came looking up. Now, it was arching its thick back, neck craned, looking at me from downstream.

This giant bear must have never seen humans before; it hesitated for a moment, seemingly considering whether we were edible, or how to hunt me. Yi Liang stood on the boulder, trembling uncontrollably. I wanted to jump onto the boulder immediately and pull Yi Liang up the valley. But I was afraid my movements would provoke the bear's wild nature, causing it to chase after us quickly, so I remained motionless, staring at the bear downstream.

I whispered to Yi Liang, "Don't move, and don't lie down and play dead. That's too risky, and it's probably too late. The bear has already discovered we're alive. If you lie down and play dead, and the bear bites you and you jump up in pain, it'll laugh its teeth out."

Yi Liang listened to me, hummed in agreement, and stood there motionless, her two soft, slender legs still trembling. Suddenly, she burst out laughing. "You're so mean, teasing me at a time like this." I didn't say anything, hoping that Yi Liang's smile would lessen my intense fear.

But I knew how dangerous it was. Getting entangled with this huge wild bear was no different from jumping into the creek to cut crocodile meat—a certain death.

The giant bear had probably finished assessing us. It didn't see any supple, sturdy fur or sharp spikes on us, nor any sharp teeth or claws. It was right that I didn't laugh with Yi Liang. If it had shown us our teeth, it would have thought we were too cheap to eat, and then it would have charged at us recklessly, enjoying the thrill of preying on a weaker creature.

"Yi Liang, slowly lean back, press your body against the valley wall. If there's danger, I'll jump up and grab you to escape," I whispered to Yi Liang, my eyes fixed on the giant bear. I really hoped I could pull half a crocodile out of the ditch and throw it to it, so it would eat its fill and leave us alone. But any such wishful thinking was unrealistic. If it attacked me, it would be best if I could safely escape with Yi Liang, shake off its pursuit, and prevent the giant bear from tracking us to our cave.

The sun's intensity began to wane, and the temperature dropped from its peak. A sea breeze picked up, bringing a cool sensation, but I felt no comfort; a palpable sense of menace emanated from it. A glint flashed in the giant bear's small eyes, and then it charged towards me, its heavy flesh rippling. Its brown fur gleamed against its thick layer of fat.

If the bear didn't move, I wouldn't move. This time, the bear wouldn't pounce on me like the Tibetan mastiffs I kept at the military barracks, wagging its tail and showing affection after days apart. If this bear were to lick me, half my skull would be exposed.

Since the bear had launched its attack, I couldn't hesitate. I quickly scrambled onto the boulder, grabbing Yi Liang and pulling her upwards. Yi Liang was terrified; I could clearly feel her limbs go limp, devoid of strength. This was far more terrifying for her than watching hundreds of crocodiles chase and bite me.

I could only grip Yi Liang tightly, inching her upwards. I couldn't ask her to do anything, or cooperate with me in our escape. She was still a child, and a fragile woman at that. I possessed the strength of a man, had undergone brutal training, and now I had to fulfill my utmost duty: to protect my kind, this girl, my little fiancée.

The giant bear quickly charged down to the base of the boulder. I thought it could climb up, its powerful, muscular limbs gripping the rough rock face, its mouth reaching out to bite us. Fortunately, the boulder was shaped like a giant goose egg. The bear's front paws gripped this large rock, allowing it to tilt its head and gnaw at the edge—

Chapter Twenty: Intimacy on the Rock Face

Even without climbing the valley's rock face, it couldn't reach our feet. However, the situation was too terrifying and frightening, easily causing dizziness and an automatic fall. One can imagine what it felt like to have a giant bear's mouth, revealing sharp teeth, darting and biting within twenty centimeters of one's ankle.

The valley walls were quite steep, and I slowly climbed, supporting the limp Yiliang, making sure we didn't slip. The enormous bear was roaring, trying to scare us, hoping for that to happen. I glanced back at the ferocious bear, assessing the danger distance. Its thick lips were everted, its pale fangs bared in a wide V-shape, and its palate and gums were swollen and congested, like a woman's genitals discolored from prolonged sexual intercourse, revealing the purple hue of congealed blood beneath the thin skin.

A patch of dark flesh on the bear's nose was spitting out damp breath, stirring up dust from the top of the boulder. A patch of brown skin on the bridge of its nose was peeling off, surrounded by dried, dark blood, while the white grime on the bridge was dazzling. The bear's wounds were clearly not recent; they must have been caused by an impact from a hard object or a fight with another bear. Could there be many such bears on the island? Impossible. A bear that big is probably the only one in the world.

I suddenly realized that ordinary wild beasts couldn't tear a bear's hide, so this was most likely the same enormous creature that posed a threat to our lives. If the wound was from a fight with a wild boar over food, then the threat was right before our eyes. Since two wild beasts could fight, both must possess incredible destructive power. The injured bear's nose was torn open by the wild boar's relentless grip. Thinking of this, a murderous urge for self-preservation boiled in my blood.

This situation was too good to pass up; if I ran now, I would not only be giving up food but also missing the chance to eliminate the threat to our survival. I had to risk it for these gains. I gently called to Yi Liang, urging her to wake up and hold onto the rock face so she wouldn't fall. I needed to jump back onto the boulder and kill the bear. Yi Liang understood what I meant, and panicked. She quickly hugged me and burst into tears. "No, don't risk it! Give it the food, let's go back. I'm not afraid of

going hungry." Yi Liang was terrified that something might happen to me, and even more terrified of losing me. I didn't have time to explain. I sternly told her to stay alert and hold on tight to the rock face. If the giant bear lowered its front paws from the rock, it would be almost impossible to attack its vitals again. Yi Liang was terrified. Tears streaming down her face, she gripped the rock face, trying to free me from supporting her. Her slender, delicate hands tried several times but couldn't hold on. Every time I let go, her body would start to slide down, which was extremely dangerous.

I knew Yi Liang had done her best; she was truly on edge. If it weren't for my urging, she might have already fainted. I gripped a hollow in the rock face with my right hand, wrapped my left arm around Yi Liang's waist, and pressed her down beneath me. I used my strong chest to press her soft, delicate body against the rock face, and then fiercely kissed her mouth. My lower abdomen increased the suction, and I used my tongue to pry open her two rows of neat little teeth, wrapping Yi Liang's tongue around my mouth and swallowing it repeatedly.

On her soft breasts, her proud, erect nipples surged with waves, resisting my strong pectoral muscles. I exerted force in my lower abdomen again, increasing the friction between her body and the rock, freeing my left hand from slipping down.

My rough fingers found one of Yi Liang's breasts, which I was squeezing, and began to knead and rub it. The cotton fabric of her blouse was thin, and my thumb could clearly feel the well-developed nipple beneath, a round tuft of hard yet soft flesh. My palm continued to press against the soft fluid inside her breast, while my index finger and thumb worked together to pinch and twist the areola under the fabric, squeezing it towards the nipple with a rhythmic release. I imagined the scene I saw that night when I was watching Yi Liang and Lu Ya bathe, knowing that her fair skin and pink, tender nipples were under the thin fabric, controlled by my palm and fingers.

I heard Yi Liang's soft moans after being stimulated, knowing that she was reacting, and my tongue also felt the counterattack of her fragrant tongue, a kind of attraction and an uncontrollable pursuit. My lower abdomen began to be assaulted by the waves of heat emanating from Yi Liang's lower body. My male organ, through my pants, pressed forcefully against the juncture of her lower abdomen and thighs, excitedly teasing the burgeoning heat.

The roar of the bear below still resounded. I entwined myself around Yi Liang, quickly arousing her and freeing her from the grip of fear. Yi Liang's soft hands began to push against my chest; perhaps my pressure was too strong, making it difficult for her to breathe.

I looked up at her bright, alluring eyes, shimmering with a captivating tenderness. "Are you feeling better now?" Yi Liang's cheeks were flushed. She hadn't expected me to suddenly feel such sexual urge towards her at this crucial moment. After hearing my words and understanding my intention, she immediately nodded, her hands gripping the rock face, carefully lying prone on the slope of the valley.

Seeing that she had regained consciousness and strength, I turned my head, aimed at the top of the boulder, and leaped back with all my might. My toes barely touched the bear's wildly biting lips before I recoiled, nearly being grabbed and thrown off a boulder, my brains spilling out. I reached for the jungle rifle hanging behind me; now was no time to be stingy with bullets. My dagger was useless; it couldn't pierce the bear's eyes or cut its hide. Poking its mouth would only enrage it, provoking a more ferocious attack. If it escaped, it would create an even more dangerous situation—bears hold grudges.

I quickly adjusted my weapon, released the safety, and switched to single-fire mode, but I wasn't sure whether to shoot the bear's mouth or its eyes—that would be more lethal. This arrogant bear was still shaking its massive head, its jaws agape as it lunged at my ankle. Perhaps my leap back from the rock face was a provocation and a sign of contempt for its power; the bear's ferocity suddenly intensified.

My rifle sights were already aimed at its face. The moment that wildly shaking head paused even slightly, my finger would pull the trigger, firing the bullet. "Yi Liang, hold on tight to the rock face, close your eyes and think about the scene of me kissing you, think about my rubbing against you. Don't look here, and don't listen to any sound."

Just as the giant bear hesitated, wondering why I was pointing such a small object at it, a bronze-colored cartridge ejected from the chamber with a thud, rolling down the boulder to the rubble by the stream. I thought the bear's tiny eye would explode into a black hole, just like the young bear that attacked us that night. Because of the bear's immense strength, the boulder beneath my feet wobbled, and the bullet missed, hitting its ear.

The bear immediately let out a deafening howl at the sudden pain, slamming its front paws back to the ground, shaking its head from side to side, sending rocks tumbling around it. It probably thought the pain was inside its ear, like a poisonous insect, and that shaking it out would solve the problem. The boulder came to rest after the bear's shoving, and I stood on it, clearly seeing blood trickling from one of its small, round, brown ears, dripping and rolling onto the ground.

I was worried, afraid the bullet had only grazed it, like when I was running for my life on the battlefield and an enemy bullet grazed me. The bear's roar echoed through the valley; from the sound, I could tell it was excruciating pain—the horrifying sensation of a hot bullet rapidly tearing through skin, exploding into flesh. I knew it all too well. The bear's brute strength was astonishing; its struggle created craters around it, sending pebbles flying like slingshots. I immediately crouched down on the boulder, preparing for a second shot, but it was difficult to find another opportunity to fire.

The giant bear finally realized it couldn't shake off the pain in its ear, and that its flesh had been injured by me, its prey without sharp teeth or claws. Extremely agitated and enraged, it roared and charged at me, its two button-sized eyes gleaming with extreme ferocity. It still believed I wasn't as threatening as the wild boar it had killed the night before. Watching it run at breakneck speed, I really thought it would leap onto the rock like I had. I hurriedly leaned back, trying to retreat to the rock face for cover, but it was too late.

With a loud crash, the boulder shook twice. Had it not been for the mountain wall behind it, the bear would have knocked it over. Just in that instant of violent shaking, I leaped onto the rock face; otherwise, I would have rolled down, been bitten on the thigh, and slammed violently against the boulder, my brains and blood splattered on it. And the crocodiles in the ravine, smelling that, would find peace in death and ecstasy injure.

Seeing me dart like a grasshopper to a place it couldn't reach, the giant bear's ferocity surged. It swung its massive paws, pounding the boulder relentlessly, indirectly venting its fury on me.

"Yi Liang, hold on tight to the rock face. Don't worry, keep thinking about our intimate moments, don't open your eyes." After saying this, the bear began to retreat, not to turn away, but clearly intending to leap onto the boulder and kill me. If the bear successfully jumped to the top, Yi Liang and I would surely die. It would pin me against the rock face, slap my head off, and Yi Liang would succumb, falling into the valley and sustaining injuries, ultimately being eaten by the bear. There was

no choice but to push our life-or-death struggle to the limit once more. Just as the bear's front paws slid to the ground, I seized the opportunity and leaped back to the top of the boulder, lightning-fast switching back to automatic fire, raising the barrel and aiming it at its face. Bullets were precious, but at this moment, they were for survival.

Rat-a-tat-tat… Twenty-four rounds fired in rapid succession, followed by a scream that echoed from the giant bear's thick throat, a continuous howl. I knew the properties of the jungle gun; it was mainly used for wide-area firing, and its point-to-point fire wasn't as lethal as a rifle, unless it was for killing or hitting a vital point on a hard target. Now, the bullets were hitting the giant bear's face, which was covered in thick fur .

Chapter Twenty-One: The Pleasure of Falling into its Arms

The giant bear covered its painful face with its thick claws and began to scratch and claw wildly. I was very disappointed; I had wasted these precious bullets without hitting any vital points, which made things even more troublesome. The pain didn't make the giant bear immediately pounce on me; it raised its thick rump and rammed its head into the ground.

I wanted to turn around and go back to the rock wall, pick up Yiliang, and climb to the top of the valley, but I was afraid that the giant bear would recover and jump onto the boulder to attack me from behind. I could only squat helplessly on the boulder, preparing to continue blindly firing to drive away the approaching danger.

I carefully observed the bear's movements, listening intently to my own heartbeat. The massive creature remained motionless, and a flicker of joy crossed my mind—could I have killed it with a hail of bullets? But that seemed unlikely. I could only crouch on the boulder, aiming at it. If the bear charged again, I would fire, no matter how many bullets I wasted.

Just as I relaxed slightly, the bear suddenly raised its mud-covered face, its expression ferocious, and pounced on me with incredible speed. I didn't fire. Shooting randomly in this situation was futile; I had to save my bullets for the most crucial moment.

I drew my dagger, knelt on one knee on the boulder, and if it dared to pounce, I would stab it in the face with all my might. At this point, I had no choice but to take the risk and fight hand-to-hand, even though I had no chance of winning. I could only try to take advantage of the boulder.

With a loud crash, the giant bear's massive body, writhing in extreme rage, slammed into the boulder. I quickly pressed myself against the rock face, but my feet wobbled violently. The boulder swayed a few times before hitting the rock face, mitigating the impact and preventing it from toppling over. I broke out in a cold sweat, but a sense of relief washed over me. This time

, the bear leaped much lower than before, and its balance was significantly impaired. I was shocked to learn that one of its eye sockets had become a black hole; I hadn't expected my barrage of fire to have hit its eye. Now half-blind and half-deaf, the bear seemed somewhat disoriented in its attacks. A thought formed in my mind: since the bear was so badly injured, I would eliminate this menace, even if it meant dragging

it out until nightfall. The desire to fight surged within me. If I could just blind another eye, this behemoth might become my meal. The thought of its abundant, fresh flesh greatly boosted my courage.

The giant bear's body was round and muscular. The moment I managed to cling to the edge of the boulder, its thick rump would pull me off, and I kept veering off course, which only fueled its rage. Several attempts failed.

The bear seemed to possess some intelligence; it stopped its futile attempts and started swaying back and forth, trying to shake me off. If the boulder fell, I could hold onto Yiliang and continue climbing, but the food in the creek and this threat to our survival would be out of control. Even if we tried to escape, a slip while climbing would still result in being mauled by the bear.

The boulder, held by this behemoth, began to sway violently. It seemed to know how to use resonance to cause the boulder to collapse, which filled me with fear. My dagger was too short; I dared not approach its mouth rashly. If it bit me, an arm would be instantly gone. My feet became increasingly unsteady, forcing me to press closer to the rock face so I could climb back up in time to avoid falling.

The boulder finally gave way to the bear's momentum. Just as I lost my balance, I grabbed a crevice in the rock face, hanging precariously and swaying like an ancient pendulum.

The injured bear, lacking its usual balance, also tumbled downhill with the force of the boulder's fall. With a deafening roar, the boulder rolled across the creek, lying across the edge, but the bear had vanished. "It fell in! The bear fell in!" I heard Yi Liang's voice suddenly. I quickly said, "Don't talk, just stay still." Yi Liang pressed her soft face against the rock face.

The creek gurgled and splashed, and the low growls of biting and tearing echoed from the bottom. I gripped the rock face tightly, afraid the bear or crocodile might leap out.

I couldn't see the struggle inside; for safety, I could only judge the situation by the sounds I heard. The sun began to turn red, and the uncomfortable heat gradually dissipated. About half an hour later, the sounds in the ravine ceased. The two giant beasts must have decided the victor. My arms were aching from the weight, so I stretched my leg muscles and jumped down from the five-meter-high rock face.

"Yi Liang, hang in there a little longer." After shouting to her, I cautiously approached the creek, my fear growing with each step. The boulder had fallen, the natural safety island was gone, and if there was any more danger, I could only climb back up the big tree. The stream downstream had turned crimson. The four-meter-long crocodile in the creek must have mistaken the giant bear that had rolled in for me, and was viciously biting me. The bear missed me, but instead fell face-first into the mud, and was then inexplicably attacked by the crocodile. Its rage exploded like a grenade at the bottom of the creek.

The bear's mouth wasn't as big as the crocodile's, but those thick paws were no joke. As I gradually got a clearer view of the situation, the two beasts were locked in combat. The bear's fur was thick, and I couldn't see any external wounds, but the crocodile's back had been slashed open by the bear's paws, and the gushing blood couldn't be completely washed away by the stream.

The giant bear seemed to have lost its strength, biting the crocodile's tail, its body contorted in a deep curl. Both of these behemoths were now one-eyed, neither with much of a chance of winning. This pleased me greatly; with this head-on clash, I could easily end their lives. One thing was certain now: neither the bear nor the crocodile would ever emerge from the ravine again. I retrieved the spear shaft I had dropped, ready to begin the slaughter.

If I killed the crocodile first, the bear would be much harder to deal with, given its exceptionally thick fur, making piercing attacks ineffective. I poked the wound on the crocodile's back with the spear tip, like a cricket fighter using a rat's whiskers to manipulate a cricket's antennae. My dagger ripped a chunk of bloody flesh from the crocodile's dark bluish-green back, and the pain instantly gripped its entire body. It bit the bear's forepaw, violently twisting its body, its teeth spinning like gears.

The giant bear roared madly, biting the crocodile's tail and shaking it from side to side, trying to lift it up and slam it against the ditch wall. But the confined space and the crocodile's weight prevented it from using this fighting style. A layer of flesh was ripped from its thick, furry forepaw, leaving only white fat, from which blood trickled down.

Seeing how badly it was losing in a tooth-and-tooth struggle with the crocodile, the bear, enraged, swung its other forepaw and viciously pounded the crocodile's back. Imagine that bear's paw, capable of easily smashing boulders, now swung with extreme fury at the crocodile's back—a back with cracks—no matter how tough the poplar bark-like scales were, they couldn't withstand the force.

The bear's claws were sharp; not only with the force of the blows, but the claws also dug and tore at the crocodile's back, instantly turning the cracked scales into a heap of rotten flesh, like a cat scratching tender poplar bark, leaving haphazard, jagged marks.

I thought the giant crocodile was doomed; its spine must be severely broken, and countless ribs were snapped. Just then, two other crocodiles, each two and a half meters long, pounced, viciously biting at the bear's hind legs. It seems even animals have a sense of unity when facing other species; their innate desire to tear apart flesh is uncontrollable.

Because the creek was narrow, the bear couldn't turn around to respond to the attack from behind. It could only kick and thrash, trying to shake off the sudden pain. But this only tore off more flesh from its hind legs, causing it to howl in agony, a chilling sound. The stream continued to rush through this cruel, bloody creek. I used the tip of my spear to fiercely stab the two crocodiles attacking the bear's hind legs, piercing one of their eyes.

The intense pain of their eyes being destroyed spurred the two crocodiles to launch another ferocious attack on the bear, tearing large chunks of flesh from its white, bloodied, and fleshless hind legs. The giant bear could only whimper in agony, its brute strength gone. Seizing the opportunity, I quickly searched for its other eye. It was tiny, its long, thin fur soaked, making the socket even harder to spot.

I spotted the bullet-damaged, oozing black pus from the eye socket, estimated its approximate symmetry, and thrust it in with all my might. Another spurt of blood mixed with black pus gushed out, rolling into the rushing stream. The giant bear convulsed violently, its struggles not as exaggerated as I'd anticipated.

Although the bear was half-dead, I wasn't reassured. I used the spear tip to stab the wounds of the two crocodiles, making them continue tearing at the bear's hind leg flesh. The crocodile's bones seemed completely shattered; when I gouged out its other eye, it remained motionless, presumably dead.

I poked the giant bear's two dark eye sockets a few more times, and found that it was just twitching, indicating that its muscles and nerves were reacting, and it had no ability to resist. Only then did I feel relieved about the giant bear. Now it was the turn of the two injured crocodiles behind the giant bear. I easily pierced their eyeballs. Because they were badly injured and had lost too much blood, coupled with the energy they had used to bite the giant bear, they were like geckos that had just been sprayed by a gunman, only able to feel pain.

I began to poke their eyes one after another. Even though some were already dead, I was still very sensitive to feigned death. I had used the trick of feigning death on the battlefield to kill two enemies who were scavenging for valuables from a dead body. I then picked up a hundred-pound boulder and smashed it on the skulls of the crocodiles and the bear. I heard the cracking sound of the bones breaking, and only then did I feel completely at ease.

I ran down to Yi Liang and saw her lying on the high rock wall, watching me for a long time. I smiled and said, "Come on, jump down now." Yi Liang looked down and said, "I'm scared." I told her I could definitely catch her. She hesitated for a moment, then closed her eyes, leaned back, and fell into my outstretched arms with a splash, startling her with a cry of pain. I held her tightly in my arms, my lips brushing against the soft top of her head, trying to comfort her—

Chapter Twenty-Two: Trekking Through the Rainforest.

Yi Liang hugged me tightly; I knew she must be feeling very uncomfortable on the rock face. She was a delicate woman, and it must have been incredibly difficult for her to endure such a steep slope for so long, especially given the perilous surroundings. "It's getting dark; we need to hurry. Chi Chun and Lu Ya are still waiting for us in the cave." After saying this to Yi Liang, she nodded gently and released her arms from mine.

Yi Liang stood above the stream, observing the surrounding activity, so I could safely descend into the stream to hunt the dead beasts. Bringing this fresh meat back to the cave would be enough food for us for a month, but it was getting late, and I couldn't cut the lean meat off them right away. The bear pelts were essential for our survival on the island, so we had to skin them slowly, trying to keep the pelts intact.

This would take even more time, and bringing back a full ton of meat to the cave at once was impossible. For now, we could only butcher half of the crocodile; the rest we'd collect tomorrow. To prevent other wild animals from eating the carcasses in the creek, I weighed them down with large stones. This way, even if other predators pecked at them at night, we wouldn't lose too much.

Yi Liang stood on top, observing our surroundings while catching the lean meat I tossed up—it must have weighed a hundred pounds. I tied the plump, fresh meat with hemp vines, hoisted it onto my shoulder, and, holding Yi Liang's hand, started walking back. Because we'd spent so much time, Yi Liang and I had to run back to avoid being caught in the forest before dark.

Yi Liang's small, delicate hands were gripped tightly in my hand. I couldn't run fast, afraid of hurting her fragrant shoulders, and my right hand was constantly using the long pole to pry away the venomous snakes blocking my path.

After running for a while, I noticed that Yi Liang's cheeks were covered in sweat, and her legs were gradually weakening. To move faster, I pulled her into my arms again, kissing her tenderly and caressing her sensitive areas. Yi Liang's body was soaked with sweat, making the already thin cotton cloth appear even more diluted and transparent. My fingers kneaded her nipples and rubbed her genitals, trying to arouse her as quickly as possible and relieve her fatigue.

Her body and organs were more sensitive than before; my fingers quickly became sticky and wet, I couldn't tell if it was sweat or the love fluid secreted from her genitals. Yi Liang murmured loudly, her soft breasts and warm lower abdomen rubbing against me, and I could clearly feel the downy hair of her genitals through the damp cotton cloth of my pants.

Yi Liang's sexual desire began to intensify, and I quickly withdrew my fingers that had been stimulating her genitals. I shook the dazed Yi Liang vigorously and asked, "Are you feeling any better? We need to hurry on our way; every delay increases the danger." Yi Liang's pretty face flushed with shyness, and she nodded silently, a sweet smile playing on her lips.

I patted the fleshy weight on my shoulder to relax my back muscles, then grabbed her small hand and continued running through the woods.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, we spotted the cave in the distance. The entrance was still intact, which calmed my pounding heart. Once inside, Yi Liang and I rushed over to hug me, then Yi Liang. Seeing their tear-streaked faces, I guessed they had cried for a long time, worried about me. Lu Ya blinked her large, wet eyes, gazed at me for a while, then suddenly hugged my waist, giggling. She was overjoyed to see me safe. Yi Liang

and Chi Chun, seeing Lu Ya's innocent charm, both covered their mouths and smiled, their lips brimming with a manly delight.

That evening, we all sat together eating grilled fish slices. Yi Liang recounted the day's events, including the giant bear that posed a threat to our lives, which both surprised and delighted everyone. I told them I would come with them the next day to retrieve the fresh meat. Lu Ya, hearing that she could come out of the cave with me, clapped her hands excitedly and jumped around the fire.

After dinner, I took Yiliang to the stream at the cave entrance to wash off the mud. Yiliang was soaked in sweat; she must have longed to wash in the stream before bed. I still smelled of raw meat, and dried animal blood clung to my chest and back.

Yiliang glanced back at the cave, and seeing that Luya and Chichun couldn't see us, she took my hand and led me towards a further section of the stream. I didn't understand her intention, but I obediently followed her. After walking about twenty or thirty meters, I stopped Yiliang from continuing.

"Don't go too far. This stream mouth is quite wide; wild beasts could easily leap out." After hearing my words, Yiliang lowered her head and gently said "Oh," her tender, obedient demeanor instantly dispelling much of my fatigue. I said, "Hold on to the stream." Yiliang nodded.

After saying that, I suddenly felt very guilty. I was the only man on the island, and even the girl beside me couldn't provide the sense of security I needed for bathing in the stream at night, yet she always urged me on with commanding words.

The yellow moon hung high in the sky, casting a soft, even light that shrouded the mountains, water, plants, insect chirps, and even the girl before me in a hazy, dreamlike veil.

Yi Liang raised her soft arm, removed her upper garment, and her proud, erect breasts sprang forth, swaying from side to side. She smiled without any expression, handing me the clothes, then bent down, lifted the girl's fair right leg, and pushed down her trousers. Her fair back slid down her spine to her neck, forming a beautiful arc. I was captivated by her alluring body when she handed me the trousers.

A pair of alluring eyes gazed at me deeply before she began the girl's bath. Holding Yi Liang's clothes, I constantly looked around. The giant bear certainly wouldn't come, but I wondered how it and the crocodiles were doing, whether they were being pecked at by other wild animals. At that moment, I worried about our prey.

Holding Yi Liang's clothes in my hands, I felt an indescribable emotion. Yi Liang's jade-like arms scooped up the clear, flowing stream water, washing her pure, innocent body. I placed her clothes on a dry rock, then took off my own clothes to wash away the blood covering my body. I couldn't scoop up clean water to scrub myself, because the day's struggle had left many long, thin cuts on my bare upper body and calves, some of which had just scabbed over.

I carefully lay down in the stream, letting the water slowly soak and wash over me, so that the pain wouldn't be so intense. I kept my eyes above the water, observing my surroundings and Yi Liang, in case any danger suddenly appeared. Yi Liang was already squatting in the water, her left hand reaching down; I knew she was washing her most sensitive and private parts.

When Yi Liang saw me looking at her, she seemed embarrassed and quickly lowered her head, pretending not to see me. My teeth were grinding in my mouth, not because the stream water was cold, but because of the intense pain from the cuts all over my body. Yi Liang found my bathing posture strange. To ease the slightly awkward atmosphere, she whispered to me, "You look like a crocodile." I laughed and whispered back, "Hurry up and wash, or I'll bite you." She laughed too, and from her loose, pink shoulders, I knew her left hand was still massaging that area underwater.

"I'm done washing, now I'll help you." She stood up, her pink and white knees above the water, and waded towards me. "Be careful, don't slip," I cautioned, but didn't refuse her. Yi Liang's knees came close to my nose, and a soft foot stepped on my hand in the water. Although it hurt a little, I didn't make a sound, but she exclaimed in surprise, thinking she had hurt me.

The stream water gurgled over my body, and Yi Liang's beautiful young body looked especially alluring in the moonlight. The moment she squatted down, a uniquely feminine scent wafted into my nostrils, sweet and intoxicating. Her soft hand gently touched my back. I could feel the plump flesh of her jade-like hand, so smooth and captivating.

My body suddenly twitched. Yi Liang, ever perceptive, knew she had touched my wounds and quickly asked with concern, "Does it hurt a lot?" I shook my head, my eyes continuing to scan ahead. I heard sobbing. Turning to look at her, I realized she had suddenly cried. "Don't worry about me, keep washing." She hummed in agreement and did as I asked.

I had several large wounds on my body, from being scratched by dry branches while climbing a tree. When Yi Liang's hand inadvertently touched them, I twitched a few more times. "Kiss me, it can ease the pain," she said, choking back tears. I hadn't expected Yi Liang to be so thoughtful; even I hadn't realized it.

"You can manage, keep washing," I said in a low voice without turning to look at her. Yi Liang didn't continue. She stood up, covered her face with her hands, and wept. I don't know how she interpreted what I just said. Perhaps she suddenly lost confidence in herself, or perhaps she was saddened by her inability to share my pain.

Yi Liang cried so pitifully, which made me feel guilty. I shouldn't have treated her that way, shouldn't have rejected her tenderness with my manly strength. I thought about how she was just a young girl experiencing her first love, and how I had repeatedly taken the initiative to tease her body, arousing her desire. And now, I had unknowingly neglected her, making her an audience for my desires.

I quickly squatted down and hugged Yi Liang tightly. My face pressed against her soft, smooth abdomen, rubbing and feeling it. Her round buttocks gave my hands an infinitely fleshy sensation, making it impossible for me to touch the inner hip bones.

Yi Liang lowered her hands, tightly hugging my head, pressing it hard against her abdomen. Finally, my desire ignited—the first truly burning desire I had felt since escaping the Snow. My breathing quickened, my head grew increasingly restless on her lower abdomen, and my tongue involuntarily darted out, licking and sucking her soft, delicate skin.

My heart pounded harder and harder, sexual urges overwhelming my mind. No longer content with licking her lower abdomen, my mouth and nose began searching for the downy hair on her genitals, my lips rubbing incessantly, my tongue, full of tension, probing the most sensitive clitoris. The faint, sultry aura emanating from there intensely stimulated me; my genitals began to swell, like a large eel rising in a rushing torrent, desperately trying to leap and bite at Yi Liang's alluring body—

Chapter Twenty-Three: The Tailor Shop's Lover

"I want to give it to you," Yi Liang murmured. I understood what she meant. Those words stirred many memories within me. Since I joined the mercenary army in Thailand at seventeen, I had slept with many women. Every month after the grueling training, large numbers of Southeast Asian women were transported by military vehicles to us to satisfy our sexual desires.

Most were local prostitutes, but some were trafficked refugees. The soldiers swarmed like vultures to carrion, grabbing one and dragging her back to their tents for their pleasure. To prevent sexually transmitted diseases from spreading within the ranks, these women had all undergone bacterial testing beforehand. In those tedious and terrifying days of training, this was the only pleasure the soldiers could obtain.

Therefore, everyone cherished every such opportunity; some women's bodies were used by multiple men almost simultaneously. They had to endure more than twenty sexual encounters a day, persisting until the next morning, in order to earn a considerable income, although that money was only enough to buy them food for a few days.

I only had sex with one woman at a time. If other men came to share the tent, I would fight them. Before I turned twenty, I could only mate with the women I had taken once or twice, because some men engaged in covert mating, wanting to enjoy every woman's body before they were satisfied. This would cause conflicts with me. If someone tried to take the woman I was with, I would fight them fiercely, resulting in me being covered in bruises.

In the training camp, conflicts between mercenaries couldn't be resolved with weapons; they had to resort to punches and kicks. If a soldier being beaten reached for a gun or dagger in a fit of rage, he would be shot dead on the spot by the instructors. This fighting was also considered training.

By the time I was twenty-one, I had become tall and strong. I remember once, those two guys who liked to take other men's women and provoke me entered my tent with lewd expressions while I was having sex with the woman they brought. I was furious. I pulled my penis out from under the woman I was with and fought them naked.

Actually, this was something I had long anticipated and planned; I wanted to avenge three years of hatred in this situation where I had been repeatedly humiliated. One of them viciously kicked me with a side kick, trying to hit my temple and kick me out of the tent. The continuous high kicks slapped my left arm, which I was using to block and protect my head, making my scalp tingle. I seized the opportunity, rushed into his opening, grabbed the leg that was attacking me with my left hand, and hooked my right fist hard at his chin. His body was sent flying, crashing heavily against the metal frame, blood streaming from his mouth and nose.

The other one, seeing this, was extremely angry. He roared and leaped into the air, aiming straight for my face. I turned my head to dodge the kick, reached my right hand under his crotch, grabbed him tightly in the back, and used my shoulder to push him out of the tent. With a thud, dust rose from the ground as his back slammed heavily to the ground. I was enraged to the extreme. Fueled by years of shame and resentment, I leaped forward, my knee slamming into his chest mid-air.

His blood gushed from my face, and I pounded his cheeks with my fists. At that moment, the other soldiers rushed over, pulling me away to prevent me from beating him to death. I shook off their restraints and went back to the tent. I pulled the terrified woman over, spread her legs, and thrust myself into her again.

I made love to her forcefully, glaring at the mercenaries watching outside the tent, blood dripping from my face onto the woman's pale vulva. The woman covered her face with her hands, unable to look at me, whimpering softly. At that moment, I felt no sexual pleasure; anger and fear still consumed me.

My desperate display of cruelty and murderous nature was a desperate search for a sense of security in my survival. The instructor came over with a pistol. I didn't look at him, continuing to forcefully make love to the woman beneath me.

I was mentally prepared that he might very well shoot me in the head, killing me to quell the chaos.

After a while, the instructor didn't do that. He checked the two mercenaries lying on the ground. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a sinister smile creep across his face. He waved, signaling to carry the wounded away, then put his pistol back on his waistband and turned to leave. Later, I learned that the guy who had fallen out of the tent was killed by me, and the other, suffering a severe concussion and near a vegetative state, was secretly dragged to the back mountain and killed.

From then on, when I used the tent to vent my desires on women, no mercenaries ever came in. Even on ordinary days, suddenly fewer people spoke to me. Until one night, while I was fast asleep, a group of people covered my head, loaded me into a car, and took me away from the training camp. After a month of secret interviews in the office, I began carrying out sniper missions against special agents, rarely participating in battlefield combat.

The concept of "**" was, in those years, like a bullet that can't kill—unimaginable to anyone. I lived on the edge of death every day, never imagining I'd end up on a deserted island, nor that I'd be holding Yi Liang, my young fiancée.

Yi Liang murmured repeatedly, "I want to give it to you, I want to give it to you." With a splash, I stood up naked, picked up Yi Liang, and gently placed her on the rock where I'd bathed Chi Chun. Heavy, rapid breathing filled my nose and mouth. I greedily kissed her warm tongue, my hands roaming over her body, my rough palms eagerly caressing her fair thighs and breasts.

My penis, like a wild horse, surged and throbbed towards her damp, warm pubic hair. Like an eel burned by a cigarette in soft mud, it relentlessly pounded and thrust. I could clearly feel the sticky liquid seeping from that mysterious crevice. If I contracted my lower abdomen a little more, or pressed down on my buttocks slightly, that trembling, thirsty eel would endlessly squeeze in, and Yi Liang would cry out in pain, transforming from a girl into a woman.

Suddenly, my brain felt like it had been electrocuted, and an extreme grief surged into my heart. I abruptly rolled her body over and lay down in the stream. The stream continued to flow, and no one but myself knew that tears were mixed in with it. Yi Liang was startled by my actions. I stood up from the stream, shaking my wet hair from side to side, water droplets splashing onto her naked body.

"What's wrong?" I didn't answer, but whispered, "We have to live. Let's go back to the cave." I picked up Yi Liang's clothes and handed them to her to wear, but my mind was blank. "You remembered the woman in the tailor shop, didn't you?" she asked tentatively. I patted her head and told her, "She was a good woman." Yi Liang hugged my waist tightly again, tears streaming down her face, and said, "Everyone in town is dead, she..." She paused, then continued, "After she knew you were going to marry me, she made a beautiful dress and secretly gave it to me. She also told me how to adapt to your body and told me not to hate her."

As Yi Liang recounted her story, the smile of the woman in the tailor shop surfaced in my memory, her alluring body, always so selflessly giving to me, catering to me. And yet, I couldn't protect her, this woman I had slept with so many times.

"Tell me, how did she die?" I asked Yi Liang, my voice heavy with sorrow. "I... I don't want you to know, it will make you sad," Yi Liang mumbled, her lips pressed against my chest. I wanted her to tell me, not to worry about making me sad. She thought for a moment, then finally spoke, "She was tied up by those bad guys and tortured in your attic all night. Luya and I hid in the secret room under the bed, listening to her screams all night. In the end, she and the attic were burned down."

After hearing this, I hugged Yiliang tightly, looked up at the endless night sky, and two lines of tears slid down my cheeks. "Yiliang, thank you, thank you for not being hurt by those bad guys." Yiliang didn't speak; perhaps she didn't understand. "Go back to the cave and rest. I want to sit alone for a while." "Okay." Yiliang pushed me away and turned to walk towards the cave entrance.

Seeing her enter the cave, I could no longer hold back. I lay down on the rock I had just been on, covered my face with my hands, and cried uncontrollably. My heart was twisting and contorting with pain. I had endured any pain before, but this great grief came suddenly, catching me off guard.

I thought of revenge, but resolving the hatred wouldn't bring her back. My current situation felt like being on a prison island; my very survival was uncertain, let alone revenge. The kind women in my life, gone, would never return. Since I couldn't take back the lives of the women I loved, I could only do my utmost to protect them from being taken.

Back in the cave, Yi Liang and Lu Ya were asleep. Chi Chun was still sitting on the rubber raft, a branch in one hand, swatting away mosquitoes for the sleeping baby. Her gentle eyes shone with a captivating light. Seeing me standing naked by the fire, she intently scrutinized me. I didn't speak, remaining motionless. Her fair neck revealed her alluring breasts, the firelight's shadow dancing on them, seemingly intertwined with her beauty.

She smiled faintly and beckoned to me. Chi Chun wanted me to carry her to the stream for a bath. I tiptoed closer to her, put my left arm around her back, and slipped my right hand under her fair, pink knees. Just as I was about to lift her up, she didn't cooperate and instead stopped me. Chi Chun's eyes were large and bright, and her sexy eyelashes fluttered in front of my face. Admiring her so closely made my heart pound uncontrollably.

Her heartbeat seemed to match mine, and it began to beat in unison. Her delicate hands caressed my cheeks, drawing my face closer to hers until our noses touched. The unique scent of a mature, beautiful woman filled my senses, and my lower body instantly sprang to life. But Chi Chun's snow-white thighs blocked my thrust, preventing it from rising further. A surge of blood pressure lodged there—

Chapter Twenty-Four: The Charming Woman's Kindness and Love

. Chi Chun was a woman with a sensitive body. Having been married for some time, she naturally knew a great deal about matters between men and women. In the dim firelight, I could vaguely see a large object protruding between my legs. Her slender thighs deliberately swayed, whether intentionally rubbing against me or wanting to feel me, I couldn't tell.

I quickly leaned back, preventing my inopportunely aroused member from touching her alluring thighs. Seeing my movement, Chi Chun smiled without uttering a sound, but her laughter only intensified. Those soft, jade-like hands gripped my cheeks tightly, pulling me close to her nose. She gently rubbed them together, then kissed my forehead firmly before pointing to her genitals.

Chi Chun was trying to tell me that she wasn't fully recovered and couldn't give herself to me yet. She hadn't kissed my lips or bitten mine because she didn't want to upset me, or make herself uncomfortable.

The baby slept sweetly, his thin eyelids and slightly upturned lips utterly adorable. I gently stroked the little one's forehead with my thumb. He felt a tickle, stuck out his tiny tongue, licked his lips, and continued sleeping.

Suddenly, Chi Chun kissed my right cheek, not too lightly, not too hard. The moment her delicate lips touched my face, a warm feeling welled up inside me. Seeing me turn to look into her captivating eyes, Chi Chun lowered her head shyly, her cheeks flushed.

I strained my waist to lift her a second time, but because I was afraid my still-erect lower body would rub against her skin, it was a bit difficult. Seeing me lift her like this, Chi Chun smiled shyly, leaning forward slightly and nestling into my arms. Her delicate arms wrapped tightly around my neck, her forehead pressed against my right cheek. Her full breasts, through her sheepskin vest, rolled back and forth like two plump water balloons, bumping against my chest.

Holding Chi Chun's voluptuous body, I returned to the rock by the stream, gently setting her down so she lay flat. I slowly immersed her two fair, graceful legs in the stream, washing them. Chi Chun's skin was very delicate; with just a little pressure from my hands, she would twitch and let out a soft moan—whether from itching, pain, or just teasing me, I couldn't tell.

After washing her legs, I washed Chi Chun's buttocks. I held her soft, jade-like feet, gesturing for her to raise her knees. Then, I gripped her thighs on either side and slowly dragged her down, trying to bring her buttocks closer to the stream. I continued to wash her with wet palms; her incredibly elastic, white buttocks made it difficult for me to feel the bones inside.

Chi Chun's private area between her thighs was sensitive to water, so I could only carefully wash the sides with my fingers. The plump, soft flesh made my fingers linger. Beneath the long, thick downy hair, a row of soft flesh curved down to her vertebrae, uneven and bumpy, which I carefully washed with my fingers.

She would only twitch and groan, a half-moan, neither in pain nor itching. The moonlight was soft tonight, also because there was no wind. As I washed Chi Chun's private parts, a damp, stuffy smell of urine assaulted my face. She sat inside the cave all day, unable to move, with little ventilation, and unable to wipe or wash after urinating. The plump, tender flesh of her lower body was compressed for a long time, resulting in a strong odor.

Yi Liang's private parts also had a faint, intermittent odor of urine, still retaining a girlish innocence. Chi Chun, on the other hand, had a rich sexual history; her private parts had undergone numerous frictions, and

the color of the edges of her slits was a testament to years of passion. Therefore, the scent she exuded was more mature and nurturing than Yi Liang's, extremely alluring, making me dizzy.

The sweet smell of her breast milk reappeared in my memory; its sweet and pungent aroma both nourished and tempted men. I squatted in the stream, the flowing water constantly hitting my crotch. Combined with the allure of her mature and beautiful body and the close sensory impact, my lower body became like an eel, throbbing and surging above the water, its tip full of tension.

Chi Chun, seeing that I had finished washing her buttocks, stood there blankly, then giggled, making me realize that I should turn her head around and wash her hair and upper body. I removed her vest and helped her lie down slowly. Chi Chun began washing her long hair with her own hands, while I scooped up stream water and poured it over her soft, plump breasts, scrubbing them more carefully.

Chi Chun's arms, which were washing her hair, kept stopping, her body trembling and panting. I had to pause for a while, waiting for her to regain her senses before continuing, repeating this process. When my rough hands grasped and squeezed her full breasts, I could clearly feel the abundant breast milk within.

After a while, Chi Chun released her hands from washing her hair. Just as I was about to turn her around, my stubborn, uncontrollable member was unexpectedly grasped by her.

That soft hand didn't use much force, but the magnetic field between us was like an electric shock, stimulating my spinal nerves. My lower abdomen suddenly contracted, and my swollen, engorged member, mistaking Chi Chun's soft palm for the gateway to ecstasy, involuntarily thrust upwards. Chi Chun covered her pretty little mouth with her other hand and smiled.

I held Chi Chun naked, and she held me naked in my arms, standing in the moonlight on this unknown island. The darkness was the only thing that could see my lower body being held tightly in Chi Chun's hand, refusing to let go.

All around was quiet, except for the babbling brook and the chirping insects in the bushes. Chi Chun rested in the cave every day, not in a hurry to sleep at night. I was exhausted and wanted to go to sleep early, but Chi Chun's captivating charm and alluring body stirred my thoughts. I gently laid Chi Chun on the rock, and after she dried off, I put on my sheepskin vest and went back to the cave to rest.

Chi Chun's hand still held my lower body, refusing to let go, looking at me with hazy eyes. I pulled my hands away, wanting to examine my body, but her tight grip on my lower body prevented me from standing up, making it even harder to control my swelling and erection. Under the bright moonlight, Chi Chun's eyes, brimming with affection, were fixed on me without blinking.

Suddenly, she straightened up, extending her other arm high, as if urgently needing me to come closer and embrace her. Thinking she was going back to the cave, she unexpectedly hooked her arms around my neck and pressed herself against her soft body. I was instantly captivated by her enchanting, jade-like skin. My strong chest pressed heavily against her soft breasts, like floating on a vast ocean.

She lifted her neck and kissed my lips, her fragrant tongue scooping up my tongue, sucking the saliva there. My breathing immediately became heavy and rapid, and my right hand kneaded and massaged one of her breasts, which was still nursing. Her seductive moans, capable of driving a man wild with desire, emanated from her nose and rapid breathing, drilling into my ears and igniting my lust.

Chi Chun's warm, jade-like arms tightly wrapped around my back, demanding the love and desire within my male body, filling her mature woman's chest with it. Suddenly, a sharp pain shot through my back. Chi Chun's fingers had gripped a deep wound, and I jerked violently. She quickly released her hand from my groin, cupped my face in her hands, and looked at me with anxious, watery eyes.

The pain subsided, and I regained my pained expression. She asked me to turn around so she could see my back. In the pale moonlight, Chi Chun could see my scarred back. Suddenly, she hugged my lower back and pressed her face against it. I felt her hot tears streaming down my back, and her warm tongue licked around the wounds, a ticklish sensation spreading through me.

Chi Chun sat up, gesturing for me to lie down next to her. Perhaps she wanted to rest her head on my chest, offering comfort, or perhaps she could find the solace a woman deserves. I didn't refuse Chi Chun and slowly lay down. One of her hands moved from my chest to my lower abdomen, then she gently lowered her body to my stomach, as if trying to hear the sounds of my battered body.

She sobbed, so heartbroken. This was the first time she had cried so bitterly since arriving on the island, just like I had just done. Her tears contained sorrow for me, and sorrow for herself. Chi Chun must miss her child's father terribly, she must miss her family. I gazed at the bright moon in the night sky, imagining what it would be like to look at it from the town's attic, whether I would see the same moon.

My groin, already limp, returned to normal. Chi Chun gradually stopped crying, but to my surprise, her sweet, peach-like lips swallowed my previously eel-like erection. The moist, smooth saliva, the slightly hot mouth, greedily felt by that eel-head-like part, began to stir again.

"No," I immediately sat up, telling her in English not to do that. She seemed not to hear, but instead worked even harder. I pulled Chi Chun into my arms, holding her head tightly, my chin stroking her soft hair.

I absolutely cannot let her do that, even though it stems from her gratitude and love for me. Both physically and emotionally, Chi Chun is still a wounded woman; what she needs most right now is a man's help and care. A man protecting a woman is an obligation among men. Just like the two crocodiles in the ravine helping the giant crocodile tear apart the giant bear, it was out of their own instinct; even if they ultimately die, their souls can comfort each other on their journey to heaven.

I must strive to obtain sufficient food so that everyone can survive, providing them with a comfortable living environment, instead of driving them into the cave as soon as it gets dark, using the excuse of protecting their lives to deprive them of their freedom to frolic under the night sky and enjoy nightlife.

Moreover, easily releasing my primordial essence will weaken my fighting spirit. Before a good defensive fortification is established, I must not be careless. Losing any of them would be a betrayal of both my beloved women, living and deceased, and a failure of my life—Chapter

Twenty-Five: Carrying Meat in the Snake Forest.

The night air was a bit chilly. I helped Chi Chun put on her sheepskin vest, carried her back to the cave, and placed her on the rubber raft. To make the fire warmer and more comfortable for everyone, we added more firewood. Luya didn't want me to hold her tonight; Yiliang must have said something to her to make her lie obediently on the bearskin and fall asleep early, looking forward to going out with me to carry food tomorrow. I

squeezed down next to them, and as soon as I touched the soft bearskin, I felt exhausted and quickly fell asleep.

The wooden door to the cave was sturdy with large stones and vines, so we no longer had to worry about the giant bear. We were all digesting the delicious crocodile meat. If we could get the bearskin again tomorrow, we could make another sleeping area, solving the problem of the three of us being cramped.

Luya and Yiliang got up very early. It wasn't until a fluffy foxtail grass tickled my neck and face that I vaguely smelled the aroma of roasted crocodile meat. Opening my eyes, I saw Luya, her big, cute eyes blinking, squatting in front of me with a mischievous smile.

Yi Liang had prepared four breakfasts. Seeing I was awake, she smiled at me, a bright and sunny good morning. Chi Chun was breastfeeding her baby. I stepped out of the cave, washed away the remaining sleepiness in the stream, and looked at the sun, realizing I'd overslept.

I was worried the meat in the stream would be eaten by something else, so I ate the grilled fish slices quickly, saying, "After Yi Liang and Lu Ya finish eating, rebuild the stone walls around the trout enclosure in front of the cave. We need to replenish our fresh food supplies. I'm going to cut down some small trees to make three wooden sleds of different sizes to carry the fresh meat back to the stream."

Lu Ya chewed her grilled meat slices with relish, shaking her foxtail grass, and eagerly said, "No, mine has to be the same size as Yi Liang's." Yi Liang chuckled and said, "Can you pull it? The food is heavy." "Yes, I can, just put in less." She pouted her little mouth, and Yi Liang and I both laughed.

The sun was already high in the sky. Following the same method as last time, I felled many trees. This time, I didn't need as many, so it didn't take too long. By the time I finished making the three crude wooden sleds to transport the meat, Yi Liang and Lu Ya had also finished stacking the pit, restoring it to its original shape before the wild bear destroyed it. I told them to hurry, lest they reach the stream and find only a pile of animal bones,

making their efforts futile. I brought Lu Ya along this time to carry back more food; for survival, it was inevitable that she would have to take the risk. She dragged the small wooden sled, which was suitable for her strength, ahead of Yi Liang, while I pulled the largest sled, ahead of Lu Ya. Yi Liang and I had walked through this forest twice before. When I used a wooden pole to clear away the poisonous snakes blocking our path, only Lu Ya showed signs of tension and unease.

The formation we used in the forest was something I had specifically decided upon. Yi Liang carried a pistol, so that she could shoot to defend herself in case of a wild animal attack. Luya was the youngest and also the most timid, so I had her walk in the middle to protect her if anything went wrong. The jungle rifle was still on my back; I'd left two pistols for Chi Chun when we left the cave, and I'd also secured the cave entrance tightly, just in case.

I told them to stay calm; the meat would probably need to be moved twice, and we should try to finish before dark. They both nodded firmly and jogged alongside me. Along the way, we tried to remain as silent as possible, minimizing any noise. Whenever a bird was startled or a small, brightly colored, strangely shaped animal darted out, Luya would be terrified, grabbing my waistband and hiding behind me.

Perhaps because of Luya, the youngest girl, Yiliang was much stronger than before. We continued through the woods, and I constantly scouted our surroundings, keeping a close watch on Yiliang's back. Bringing two girls out meant that any danger would be disastrous, so from the moment we entered the woods, I was on high alert.

Yi Liang and Lu Ya were running behind me, drenched in sweat, their pretty faces flushed, their shirts and trousers soaked through. I was equally drenched, my bare back dripping wet, water droplets running down my back. I couldn't tell if it was dew from the low branches or my own sweat. I untied the hemp vines I had prepared to use to bind the animal meat, strung them together with three wooden sleds, and made myself the engine, the main source of power, so that Lu Ya and Yi Liang could run more easily. However, if we encountered a major danger, we would have to abandon all three sleds at the same time; saving our lives at the cost of our resources was unavoidable.

Gradually, we could hear the babbling of the stream ahead, and we quickened our pace, hoping to break out of the woods and reach the clear stream as soon as possible. "Stop!" I immediately threw the sleds to the ground, afraid of tripping Lu Ya behind me. The sudden stop still caused Lu Ya to lose her balance, her forehead hitting my back, almost causing her to fall. Her big eyes looked around in panic.

Yi Liang stumbled, quickly crouching down without a word. She knew my sudden shout meant she sensed danger. "I'm afraid of bears," Lu Ya said, her slender arms tightening around my waist. I immediately gestured for them to be quiet, and we both crouched on the ground.

The hairs on my body stood on end, especially on my calves, which felt like they were bristling. My stomach churned, and I felt nauseous. I remembered being bitten by a python during jungle warfare. I was camouflaged and on a sniping mission when a specially trained British sniper infiltrated our territory. He killed the other five team members from a distance in a very short time, leaving only him and me for the duel. We both wanted to kill each other to survive.

In the dense jungle, we ran parallel to each other, about a hundred meters apart, simultaneously sprinting forward. Every time the British sniper leaped over a log or a gnarled tree root, he would fire a bullet at me in mid-air. This was the first time I'd ever seen such an excellent sniper. To be able to aim and fire through the scope the instant he gained air superiority was truly terrifying—a ghost on the battlefield.

During our rapid sprint, he fired two bullets; the first grazed the back of my neck, the second grazed my chin. I couldn't retaliate like he had. While running, I constantly varied my speed to prevent him from predicting my movements and killing me.

As I ran, I drew my pistol and fired bursts at him, disrupting his aim. If this terrifying guy fired a third shot, it would surely hit my head or neck.

For an enemy sniper, running isn't about escaping for one's own life, but about finding an opportunity to kill the opponent. Even the most skilled sniper can die if they're unlucky. He didn't see the ditch ahead, covered in dark green duckweed. If I weren't familiar with the surroundings, I would have fallen in like him. This British sniper must have recently parachuted in at night, unaware that this area's ecology and terrain are most dangerous to newcomers, especially this ditch.

It's like a water vat with a layer of bran floating on top; a greedy mouse that jumps on will be trapped and die. The instant he splashed into the water, I leaped up, scrambled onto a large, leafy tree, and quickly hid behind a thick foliage, aiming at his fall point, ready to shoot him in the head the moment he moved.

However, this was a highly experienced and cunning expert; after he fell into the water, he remained motionless for a long time. Although the ditch was deep, it wasn't deep enough to drown him. I figured he must be lurking somewhere, waiting for an opportunity to shoot me.

I was concealed in the tree, he was camouflaged underwater; at this point, killing each other was both difficult and easy. If I moved even slightly in the tree, or he moved slightly in the water, we would be dead instantly. Therefore, neither of us dared to make a sound before killing the other; patience was life itself. Even in the darkness, we could still use the dim moonlight to fire the first shot, maximizing the chances of the other's death. The

stalemate continued until the morning of the third day. The sunlight was blinding, and my higher vantage point gave me some advantage, but my eyes were swollen and aching terribly, and I was covered in mosquito bites. To survive, I had to pay this price. Thirst made me dizzy; if I closed my eyes, I would quickly faint, fall from the tree, and be riddled with bullets in mid-air, without even feeling the pain of the fall.

The sniper in the water, motionless for three days, was also suffering from the bites of aquatic creatures. We'd both reached the point of wanting to shake hands and make peace, but that was impossible. This situation sealed our fates, leaving us with only two ways to die: either shot to death or worn down.

With bloodshot eyes, I peered through the sniper scope at the water's surface, but couldn't discern anything unusual. Then a dragonfly landed on the tip of a small waterweed, flitting up and down, entangled in the plant. At first, I didn't think much of it, but then a possibility occurred to me: the underwater sniper in disguise must need a snorkel to breathe, and the tip of that green waterweed must be breathing, causing the dragonfly to bounce up and down endlessly.

I observed the waterweed more closely and noticed it was unusually vertical, unlike the surrounding waterweeds that swayed with the current below. My body was already exhausted on the tree; I had no choice but to gamble with him for life.

Through the specially designed underwater breathing tube, I imagined his position and posture in the water, estimated the approximate location of his head, aimed at that area, and fired three shots in quick succession. As the bullet pierced the thick layer of duckweed on the water's surface, I saw red ripples spreading across the water.

I'd won my gamble this time; I'd killed my opponent. I slid down a large tree, then lay prone on a high ridge, observing for a while. Only when I saw the back of his head and back bulging above the water did I feel relieved. I approached, grabbed his hair, and dragged him ashore.

It turned out he'd hidden his sniper scope under a large, round leaf of aquatic vegetation, the dark barrel of his gun pointed at that tree a hundred meters away, waiting for me to expose myself. For a sniper, pointing the muzzle at an enemy's chest and shooting from a thousand meters away makes little difference. The target in the scope is as if they're standing right in front of you. Fortunately, there was another large tree in front of the one I was hiding under, the overlapping branches providing excellent protection—

Chapter Twenty-Six: Half-Dead Head.

The bullet entered his left collarbone groove and pierced his chest cavity. His body, corroded and frozen underwater for so long, had left a black wound from the bullet, like a purple rose, gushing with dark blood. Of the three shots fired, the first one must have hit. Given his reaction speed, he wouldn't have given me time to fire a second or third bullet.

I lay prone in the ditch, drinking a little water. My atrophied stomach had to adjust slowly; drinking too much or too little could be fatal. I used my dagger to cut open all the pockets on the corpse, finding a small bag of beef and bread. Hunger made me want to devour the food in one gulp. Reason restrained my impulse; I spat out some small breadcrumbs, and my digestive system gradually began to move.

With my last bit of strength, I finally found the beetle-sized GPS micro-tracking device on his heel. I smashed it with the butt of my dagger, filled his backpack with mud, tied it to the corpse, and pushed it into the ditch. After

doing this, I could find a safe place nearby to rest for a day. Around evening, I felt shortness of breath in my sleep, my hair was being pulled painfully, my forehead was covered with something warm and sticky, and a foul stench filled the air.

I struggled to open my eyes, terror causing every nerve and hair in my body to swell rapidly, almost to the point of bursting. A grayish-blue python was devouring me. The sphincter muscles of its triangular upper jaw were taut, and two rows of long, slender, jagged hooked teeth were aimed directly at my eyes. Clear, viscous saliva clung to the tips of its teeth, ready to drip at any moment.

The massive python had coiled around me from my legs to my chest, holding me firmly, preventing me from adjusting my position to resist. Fortunately, I had been asleep with my hands under my head; otherwise, I would have been forced to watch helplessly as I was swallowed.

The instinct to save myself instantly caused my arm muscles to flex and spring up reflexively. One hand gripped the soft flesh of the python's upper lip, while the other pried open its lower jaw, slowly pulling my head out of its gaping maw. The python, responding to my resistance, tightened its coiled muscles, its smooth scales rubbing against my clothes. My pelvis and ribs creaked, and pain swept through my entire body.

Holding on was not an option; I had to free one hand to fight it. Releasing its jaws, a sharp pain shot through the back of my neck. Two rows of sharp teeth lined the inner edge of the python's lower lip. Not wanting me to slip out of its mouth, it clenched its jaws tightly, its sickle-like teeth digging into my flesh, hooking and gripping me.

The dagger at my waist was pressed tightly into its sheath by the python's body. With great effort, I managed to grasp the hilt and yank it out. I couldn't simply raise the sharp blade and stab it into the python coiled around me; its scales were slippery, and I could easily kill myself.

Another piercing pain shot through my neck. Without hesitation, I shoved the dagger horizontally into the gap between my chest and the python's body, forcefully lifting it upwards, flipping the hilt, gathering all my strength, and violently slashing it out. Then I shoved it back in horizontally, slashing diagonally, repeating this frantically.

Thick blood slowly seeped down my flat chest. The dagger had cut my flesh as it was being pushed in, but the wounds weren't fatal. The python's wound was severe. With each cut I made, it convulsed and contracted, its jaws snapping shut in pain, trying to kill me.

The pain in my neck and the cracking of bones inside my body grew clearer. At that moment, I had to push through, channeling the pain into strength, and relentlessly slash at the python. My breathing was becoming unbearable; my constricted chest prevented my lungs from taking in oxygen, my vision blurred and darkened, my limbs went limp, and I unconsciously fainted.

When I awoke, my body felt like it was being crushed by a thousand-pound chain, as if a thousand ants were gnawing at my insides. The python was dead. I pressed down on its lower jaw, slowly pulling its barbed fangs from the back of my neck, another wave of pain shooting through my heart. Gently stroking my neck, my fingers were covered in sticky, clotted blood. This kind of python hunts by brute force; thankfully, it didn't inject venom.

My aching arms slowly unwrapped its stiff, coiled body, finally freeing me. After slowly and deliberately finishing the bag of beef and bread, I dragged my heavy body out of the jungle.

Ever since then, I'd been wary of pythons. But now, I saw another one, coiled on a branch ten meters away, its forked tongue flicking as it watched the three of us. "Don't get up, and definitely don't run," I whispered to Luya and Yiliang, while pondering our next move.

They both covered their mouths and chests, looking somewhat nauseous. Yiliang, in particular, looked like a young woman pregnant for the first time. If she were to become pregnant on this island, the entire process, from conception to delivery, would be putting two lives at risk. I'd seen many large, bluish-gray pythons before; even their enormous size only instilled a sense of dread.

But what suddenly appeared ahead was a rare golden python. The python wasn't actually golden; it resembled a yellow pumpkin, freshly peeled, with a stripe of yellow rind running across its white, polygonal cut surface. In fact, it was a white python. To use a cruel analogy, it was like an African man suffering from vitiligo whose eyes suddenly bulged out, causing a wave of fear and nausea.

This white python wasn't very large; judging from its girth, it was less than two meters long, but it was young and robust. There was only one path from the woods to the stream; we couldn't go forward, nor could we retreat. Trying to pry it away with a stick was like using a trout fishing rod to catch a crocodile—comical and dangerous.

It wouldn't let us pass easily; in its eyes, Luya and Yiliang were both desirable prey, and it was highly likely to attack. Gripping the thick wooden pole in my hand, I crouched and slowly approached the white python. It recognized me, not Luya or Yiliang, and seemed slightly displeased. It arched its head, displaying its ruby-like, crystalline eyes; perhaps among its kind, it was a beautiful creature.

But the hairs on my body still trembled, bearing the visual impact of its wary camouflage. The white python was quite aggressive; it actually sprang down from the branch and crawled towards me. The idea of striking a snake at its vital point is purely theoretical; even if I had a ruler, I wouldn't go and measure it. Years of battlefield combat had instilled in me the habitual belief that attacking the opponent's head was the most swift and decisive way to kill.

The white python swayed its body, flicking wavy lines on the fallen leaves beneath the tree, hissing, its scales rustling, as it lunged at me. Having discerned its swaying pattern and calculated the point of impact, I swung my arm down with all my might, striking it squarely on the top of its head. Its powerful tail lashed out, sending withered branches and leaves flying. Without hesitation, I gave it another frenzied beating. Blood splattered from the python's head, its triangular skull reduced to a bloody pulp, like a fallen red flower, its stamen facing upwards, trampled underfoot. We pulled

it up; it weighed a full eighty pounds. Its skin and flesh were treasures to us. We quickly dug a hole nearby and buried it. Luya hid behind Yiliang before daring to approach and look. I urged everyone to hurry, and we dragged the wooden sled towards the stream.

Near the stream, we stopped. I climbed a tall tree to observe the turf and carefully examined the section of the stream, finding no danger. The stream still flowed swiftly, the bear and crocodile carcasses weighed down by large rocks, just as they had been when I left yesterday.

Perhaps due to the scouring of the stream, the scent of the meat didn't easily spread, preventing other wild animals from finding food here. I had Luya and Yiliang stand on the edge of the ditch, keeping watch while catching the meat I tossed up. I moved the large rocks aside, dug my hands into the wound on the crocodile's back, opened it, and used a dagger to cut, separating the tough skin from the flesh and bone, causing a lot of blood to gush out. The crocodile actually twitched, which startled me so much that I broke out in a cold sweat and almost jumped into the ditch. Perhaps it was the impact of the current, combined with the lingering fear from yesterday, that caused me to hallucinate.

I picked up a large rock and smashed it against the crocodile's skull before I felt relieved. I cut out large chunks of meat and threw them to Luya and Yiliang. They were both happy and nervous as they loaded the meat onto the wooden sleds. "Both the small and medium sleds are full," Yiliang told me from the bank. I had shaving the giant crocodile down to its skeleton, the remaining red meat and silvery tendons jiggling in the stream.

Next was skinning the giant bear. I'd been eyeing its pelt since last night. I pried open its mouth and plunged a dagger between its gums and lips, trying to extract as much skin as possible. The stream was stained red with the beast's blood. It took a lot of effort to peel off the unusually large bear pelt and hoist it onto the ditch. Luya quickly dodged, afraid of getting bear blood on her.

"Put the pelt aside for now. Fill the largest sled with bear meat," Yi Liang nodded in agreement. Once the fresh meat was cut from the giant beast, we realized there was more than we'd expected. We needed to fill all three sleds to the brim, barely managing to move them twice to carry it all.

I climbed onto the ditch and secured the meat on the three sleds tightly with hemp vines. The smaller sled carried about two hundred pounds of crocodile meat, Yi Liang's sled carried three hundred pounds, and mine carried six hundred pounds. I had been worried that the two girls wouldn't be able to handle such a heavy load. "Change formation. I'll be in front, Yi Liang in the middle, and Lu Ya at the back." After saying this, I walked over to Lu Ya, cupped her small face in my hands, and gently rubbed her delicate eyelids with my thumbs. "You and Yi Liang just need to lift the sled handles and maintain your balance. I'll be the engine." She blinked her beautiful eyes and nodded at me.

I added, "We have to carry this food back. Don't be afraid, I'm here." "I'm not afraid, Yi Liang is!" Lu Ya pouted. "Alright, let's begin the haul." After saying this, I stood up and glanced at Yi Liang; she smiled and nodded.

I wrapped the thick bearskin around my bare upper body to prevent the large hemp vines from digging into my flesh as I pulled the sled. The stretch from the stream to the woods wasn't easy; the uneven stones underfoot made the sleds bounce violently. Once inside the woods, the three sleds moved much more smoothly. Luckily, I had a sturdy bearskin, otherwise the flesh on my shoulders would have been torn to shreds by the hemp vines—

Chapter Twenty-Seven: The Suspended Wooden Sled

. On the road, I whispered to the two of them what we were pulling. Yi Liang said it was gold, and Lu Ya said it was riel. I said they were both correct, so we had to pull hard and hold on. They both nodded and laughed, "Yes, yes, pull hard, don't let go." This method of quenching thirst with a mirage, although somewhat effective, still made them very tired, their faces covered in sweat. As for me, I felt as if my entire upper body was soaked in water.

Dragging so much naked flesh through the forest was quite dangerous. I smiled and kept teasing them in whispers, but I was very nervous inside. If a wild leopard or wild boar came rushing over, hoping to pounce on the flesh on the sled or me, or attack Lu Ya and Yi Liang, it would be terrible. I felt very cumbersome, bound by the thick bearskin, with many thick hemp vines around my shoulders, which affected the efficiency of my immediate counterattack.

Dragging the largest wooden sled ahead, I felt like an old ox harnessed to a three-horse cart—able to pull, but unable to run fast. Luya and Yiliang were too frail, naturally petite and delicate, and they had worked hard, even after walking such a long distance through the forest with me.

Seeing the bulging veins in my neck, they realized I was dragging over a thousand pounds of meat and struggling ahead, so instead of simply maintaining the sled's balance as I had instructed, they secretly pulled along with me.

The return journey was smooth; we encountered no wild beasts. Only one leopard cat followed us on the right flank, wanting a piece of meat from the sled but hesitant to approach. The leopard cat was slightly larger than an ordinary cat, but far smaller than a true leopard. At first glance, its spots resembled those of a jungle leopard, which could be startling, but upon seeing its small size, one couldn't help but feel a sense of superiority, a urge to chase it with a stick.

Upon reaching the cave, I told Luya and Yiliang to go inside and rest for a while, while I carried the fresh meat from the three wooden sleds into the cave by myself. At first, they refused to rest and insisted on working with me.

I told them, "Hurry up and recover your strength. Before dark, bring back the remaining meat from the stream, and we'll have won today." They understood what I meant and obediently went into the cave. As

I untied the hemp rope binding the meat, Chi Chun, holding her child, kept peeking at me from inside the cave, worried about us. All the meat was piled up on the rocks at the far end of the cave, reaching a height of more than a person. There wasn't time to dry it today, and I hoped it wouldn't rain tomorrow, otherwise this hard-won food would rot and spoil.

I cut off a few pieces of tender crocodile meat with my dagger, sliced them thinly, and roasted them on a hot stone basin. The meat slices immediately sizzled and bubbled, white smoke billowing into the air, instantly increasing my hunger. After the food was cooked, I gave Chi Chun a lot. Although the trout was gone, the crocodile meat was still nutritious and delicious, making her produce plenty of milk to nourish the baby. She

sat drowsily by the fire and ate the roasted meat I gave her.

The meal was short; after drinking some stream water, I sealed the cave entrance tightly again, and the three of us, just like in the morning, pulled the wooden sled and set off. We resumed our original formation, with Yi Liang at the back, me at the front, and Lu Ya in the middle. Our pace slowed considerably as we traversed the forest; the short rest hadn't replenished much of the girl's energy.

Urging them to hurry seemed too cruel, but the thought of returning after dark filled me with anxiety, so I could only try to push myself to my limits. I stopped and said, "This pace will drag us until dark. You two, get on the big wooden sled." Luya and Yiliang exchanged a glance, their faces showing a hint of shame, and remained silent. "Let Luya sit. I can run," Yiliang said earnestly, her eyes sparkling.

"You're girls, physically weaker, with less stamina. Heavy exercise isn't your strong suit, just like men aren't good at embroidery. There's nothing to be ashamed of." The two girls stopped, smiling mysteriously, but remained standing still. I said anxiously, "Hurry up, don't wait until you're completely exhausted and can't even beat a leopard cat."

Yiliang put down her sled and pulled Luya onto mine. "Hold on tight, it'll hurt if you fall." With that, I pulled the big sled and started running. The two sleds behind, secured with hemp vines, swished along.

Our running speed increased significantly, and the two girls, supporting each other on the sled, seemed much more comfortable, yet also a little thrilled, laughing frequently. I tried my best to keep them steady, preventing them from falling; their skin was so delicate, even a slight bump could cause serious injury. Luya said behind me, "This is so much fun! It would be so much better on snow."

I was already drenched in sweat, and Luya's teasing made me laugh, cooling me down a bit. The section of the path in the woods was where we encountered snakes most frequently. I used a wooden pole to pry them away; as long as they didn't get in my way, I generally wouldn't kill them. In case food became scarce, catching a few to take back and risk a few meals was better than starving to death.

Every time I heard the sound of the flowing stream ahead, I felt both excited and nervous. Before approaching the stream, I would climb a large tree as usual to observe carefully before crossing. I butchered the remaining game meat, filled three wooden sleds, and then tied them securely. The round sun was already close to the distant sea, and a gentle sea breeze brought a welcome coolness. Luya said, "It feels so good! If only we could watch the moon from the mountaintop tonight!"

My heart sank. Since arriving on the island, I'd kept Luya like a caged bird. She still retained some of her playful childlike nature, and it was precisely this innocence that brought everyone so much joy, but for me, it meant even more.

"When we get back to the cave, you can unleash your romantic side. We need to hurry, or it'll get dark, and you'll be the most timid one," Luya and Yiliang chuckled. "Yiliang's scared too," she couldn't help but retort, pouting.

I rearranged the wooden sleds, so it was Luya's turn to control the small sled from behind. "Luya, don't be afraid. Sleep in my arms tonight," I encouraged her. "Okay," she happily agreed. I wrapped myself in a thick bearskin to make the engine.

Passing the place where the python was hunted, I threw away the dirt and pulled out the white python. Upon seeing it, Luya immediately took a few steps back in fright. "Coward, always so stubborn." Although I scolded Luya, I myself felt goosebumps as I touched the python. I swung the eighty-pound white python onto the pile of meat and stuffed it under the hemp vines. "Alright, let's hurry on our way."

The red afterglow of the sun slanted down into the woods, making the island even more wild. My vigilance increased. Although the weight of the sled prevented me from running, I desperately pushed off the ground with my feet, trying to buy time. The snakes blocking my way seemed to be addicted to me. Every time I threw them far away with the wooden pole, they would always coil back onto their original branches. Perhaps I had disturbed them, and the snakes were doing this to show their defiance and protest.

Dragging my extremely exhausted body, I finally managed to safely drag the meat to the cave. Since the first batch of meat had filled the large rocks inside the cave, I found a few more suitable large rocks and rolled them into the cave to store more meat. After everything was settled, it grew completely dark.

Tonight, everyone was especially happy looking at the cave piled high with food. I told them that tomorrow, when the sun came out, we would use daggers to slice the fresh meat into thin slices and take them to the rocks outside to dry. We would store enough to last us a month.

Luya asked me, "When are we going to catch trout again?" I smiled and said, "We'll go after we've built the fortifications." Yiliang and Luya looked at me with great confusion, not understanding what I meant. They thought that blocking a large wooden door at the cave entrance would be enough for defense, which was far from what I had imagined.

I brought Chichun over, and everyone sat around the fire. I drew my design on the ground with pebbles, and everyone was amazed when they saw it. Completing such fortifications would greatly increase our freedom of movement and safety, both day and night.

Downstream from the cave entrance, we would find a section with good geology and build a wooden wall more than two meters high, enclosing a courtyard of 5,000 square meters. People inside could bathe and move around freely, and as long as they didn't go outside, they wouldn't have to worry about wild beasts.

Everyone longed for more living space, so they resolved to complete this plan within the month. After eating, we went to bathe in the stream. The moonlight was the same as the night before, and Luya and Yiliang were still in high spirits. Luya grabbed my hand and pulled me to the section of the stream where we were bathing. She was the first to strip naked; her usual girlish modesty was nowhere to be seen. Yiliang put her and Luya's clothes on a large rock, and the two girls bent over and stood in the stream to wash.

During the day, I had been wrapped in a giant bear's skin, pulled heavy loads of animal flesh twice, and my upper body was soaked in sweat. I had endured the pain from the wound on my back until now, but lying naked in the stream, I felt instantly refreshed and relaxed. Yiliang and Luya scrubbed each other, laughing and splashing water all the while. Looking at their lively and adorable appearance, and thinking about how hard the two girls had worked that day, I didn't have the heart to remind them to be careful, afraid of spoiling the two beautiful girls' fun.

I lay in the stream. I kept observing the surroundings, and soon I saw Yi Liang and Lu Ya squatting down to wash the young girl's private parts. They weren't embarrassed by my gaze; instead, they looked at each other and laughed at me. Two pairs of fair skin, one pair proudly erect, the other with its outline just beginning to emerge, swaying on the water's surface, appearing and disappearing, exquisitely beautiful.

Lu Ya's body displayed the beauty of a budding young girl, while Yi Liang's body embodied the beauty of a mature young woman. Perhaps it was the lingering stimulation from last night's memory, but this scene resurfaced, and my lower body lost control, like a vibrant eel, throbbing and rising in the swaying stream—
