A Romantic Detective in the Qing Dynasty [Complete] - 29 Chapters

Part Six, Chapter Twenty-One: The Real and the Fake Chinese.

Bali is just east of Java. Across the sea, you can see the chaotic fighting taking place there. I immediately dispatched warships and led troops to Bali, ordering my soldiers to surround both sides.

I had my men shout several times in both Chinese and English, commanding them to lay down their weapons. Only then did both sides lower their weapons and stand facing each other on opposite sides.

I observed them closely. One side consisted entirely of strong, muscular men, while the other was made up of the elderly, children, and young women. Both sides were heavily wounded, but fortunately, the number of dead was not high. Strangely, the side with the elderly and children seemed to have a slight advantage.

I ordered each side to send a representative to me to explain the situation.

A short while later, Pu Lin brought a strong, muscular man and a spirited young woman.

The burly man, shirtless with a shaved head and covered in lumps of flesh, wore shorts with frayed edges. Upon seeing me, he burst into tears: "Fellow villagers, you've finally come! These barbarians have ravaged us! They've killed all our elders and children! We hid here, but they still came after us, determined to wipe us out!"

He spoke fluent Minnan dialect. I looked at him suspiciously, then turned to the girl. The girl was incredibly beautiful. Her bright, clear eyes stared at me, her long eyelashes fluttering, her long, jet-black hair casually tied back, her delicate eyebrows slightly furrowed, and her cherry-like lips moving gently as she spoke in broken Cantonese, "Do you believe me?"

I was stunned. Although I had been surrounded by over a dozen stunning beauties from the Qing Dynasty, Russia, Korea, and Japan, I was still completely captivated by this strikingly beautiful woman with her unique charm. I admired her exquisite figure and savored her sweet, innocent voice, momentarily forgetting where I was. Suddenly, I felt a gentle caress on my buttocks, and I heard Fei'er softly scolding me: "Pervert, they're asking you if you believe that man!"

I laughed: "Whether I believe him or not, I still need to hear your explanation! We Chinese people have wandered to all corners of the world and made huge contributions to the development and construction of those places. I will not allow anyone to bully them, much less allow anyone to kill my compatriots. I've come here with my troops to stand up for my Han compatriots!"

The girl's eyes gradually filled with tears, but the man knelt down on the ground with a thud: "Your Honor, we've finally found our relatives, our saviors! We've suffered too many injustices overseas, you must stand up for us!" As he spoke, he kowtowed repeatedly and burst into loud sobs.

Pu Lin stepped forward to help him up, saying gently, "Don't cry, we're here now!"

The girl looked at Pu Lin with disgust, the tears in her eyes disappearing, replaced by contempt. She smiled slightly and said, "What do you want to do to us?"

I laughed, "You haven't explained the situation yet, how can I draw conclusions? Tell me!"

The girl said calmly, "What else can I say? Haven't you already believed him? What else is there for me to explain?"

I glared at Pu Lin, who lowered his head and stepped aside. Soong Mei-ling stepped forward, smiling, and said, "My husband didn't believe what he said was true either. He was just telling you that our Australian business group came here to support the Chinese! Let me tell you, although your Mandarin isn't very fluent, you are a true Chinese, and a genuine Cantonese at that." "They've just been away from home for a long time and haven't been back!"

As soon as she said this, the girl's eyes filled with misty tears again, but she stubbornly turned her head and stared at me, saying, "Look at us, do we look like we're chasing them? We have the upper hand because everyone is determined to die and is more willing to fight than them; it's also because we all know some of our country's martial arts!"

I nodded: "Tell me what's going on! Impersonating Chinese is still a new thing, which shows that the enemy is afraid of the strength of us Chinese! It shows that we Chinese can now live with our heads held high!"

As soon as I finished speaking, the girl said coldly: "What's the use of saying that? We'll see what you do!"

Pu Lin's face turned pale with anger, and he impulsively wanted to step forward to say something, but was gently pulled back by Soong Mei-ling.

I coldly replied, "How can I know if what he's saying is true if you don't explain what happened clearly? We've been capturing bandits from Cape Raya in the west to here, and we've seen plenty. Some of those involved in the massacre of Chinese were just a few-year-old child, while others were elderly people. It's all because of a wolf pack. Whether it's a wolf cub or an old wolf that can still walk, they are all man-eating animals!"

The girl turned her head away, "You should ask other people. I can't explain anything to this wolf!"

I waved my hand, and someone took the girl and the burly man aside. The girl looked at me, her eyes flashing with surprise and unease, but she gently bit her delicate lips, straightened her back, and said nothing. On the contrary, the burly man cried out, "Fellow countrymen, please save us!"

After a moment, Pu Fei brought in an old man. He said, "This is the girl's gang. Father, you should ask this old man!"

I looked at the old man. Although his hair and beard were all white, he walked very lightly, clearly someone who had practiced martial arts. The old man saw me, froze, and then knelt down with a thud: "Your Majesty, forgive this humble subject Zhao Tianmin for being blind and unaware of Your Majesty's presence!"

I was also stunned and hurriedly helped him up: "Do you know me?"

The old man said, "I participated in the battle against the Japanese in Pyongyang, Korea in 1894. That battle was truly exhilarating! We beat the crazy Japanese so badly they were rolling on the ground, it was so satisfying! That's when I saw Your Majesty. All these years later, you are still so young, still so majestic. We Chinese are blessed!"

I happily said, "I am no longer the emperor, I am now the president of the Australian Business Group! That young lady was too stubborn..." "They won't say anything, just want me to guess, so I've invited the old man here to ask about the truth!"

The old man laughed: "My girl, Xiaoyu'er, is spoiled rotten; she doesn't know her place! We're from Zhao Family Village, east of Wanlong. Our whole village is here. These wicked people took a liking to my daughter and her group of friends. When chaos erupted, they gathered hundreds of thugs to burn, kill, and loot our village, but we drove them away! Later, my daughter saw that the thugs in the surrounding villages were also burning, killing, and looting Chinese, so she protected the old and young of our village and fled here, hoping to hide from the chaos. Who knew these thugs would chase us here again? We were in trouble when His Majesty brought people here!"

I "Are these thugs Chinese?" I asked.

The old man scoffed and said, "They're not Chinese at all. That kid's called Yamada Taichiro. Don't be fooled by his fluent Fujian dialect; he's a Japanese who grew up in Ryukyu. He's the one who started the massacre of Chinese in Bandung. His gang are all local thugs who do all sorts of evil. The leader is the 'Four Tigers of Ryukyu,' and he's the boss! Don't believe me yet. Interrogate those thugs separately and hear what they have to say, and you'll understand!"

I thanked the old man and escorted him back to his group. Then I had Pulin interrogate the burly men one by one. Less than an hour later, Pulin came, head bowed, and said, "Father, I..." "We almost got fooled by that kid. These are gangsters from the Indonesian underworld. They're the ones who instigated the massacre of Chinese people in Indonesia. Each of them has at least ten or eight lives; they're ruthless villains who wouldn't mind losing a few!"

I nodded, smiling, and said, "It's true that villains in disguise are hard to spot, but that's precisely the time to hone our skills! Alright, let's bring that girl and that villain back. Don't let it show that we already know what happened. I want to see how that villain puts on a show!"

Pu Lin laughed, "Father wants to see how the big bad wolf disguises itself as a lamb?"

I nodded, "It'll broaden our horizons!"

A moment later, the two men were invited back, and I had two folding chairs brought for them to sit down. The girl stubbornly refused to sit. The burly man's small eyes darted around for a while before he said happily, "My benefactor, have you figured things out?"

I laughed, "If I didn't figure this out, wouldn't I be too stupid? Now that it's over, where do you want to go?"

The man immediately said, "I heard our people haven't taken Jakarta yet. I want to join the attack on Jakarta. I want to personally eliminate those evil people who murdered my parents!"

I said, "Okay, I can completely grant your request, but I need to borrow something from you first!"

The man immediately said, "No problem, whatever I have, I'll give you whatever you want, no questions asked!"

I laughed and said, "I'm just afraid you won't give it to me!"

He patted his chest, "No problem, I, Yamada Tai—"

I was taken aback and said, "Oh, why did you choose a Japanese name? You know, what I hate most in my life is Japanese donkeys! In my whole life, I've led people to kill nearly a million Japanese donkeys because they're a wolf pack, a monstrous group that always wants to eat human flesh. How come you're also in this group?"

"No, no, no, sir, you misheard me. My name isn't Yamada, a Japanese man. My surname is Shan, pronounced like the 'shan' in 'Shan' (善), and my given name is Tian (田) from 'Tianyuan' (田园) and Tai (泰) from 'Taishan' (泰山)." The man hurriedly explained, but his legs began to tremble!

I laughed: "I say, why do we Chinese have such wolfish names! I heard there's a Ryukyu Four Tigers in Bandung, and these bastards started the massacre of Chinese. If I catch them, I'll tear them to pieces!"

The burly man trembled, but immediately gritted his teeth and said, "If you catch them, hand them over to me. I'll make sure they're in a terrible mess! I want to see how many heads these people have, daring to oppose me!"

I nodded: "Alright, let's get back to the point. You still need to lend me the thing, I need to make sure the people here can live in peace!"

The man hurriedly said, "Just tell me what you need, as long as I have it!"

I smiled and said, "Of course you have it, I see it right now!"

The man looked down at his clothes: "Nothing useful?"

I slammed my hand on the table and shouted, "Guards! " "Drag him down and chop him up! I want to use his dog's head!"

Several burly men immediately grabbed his hands and pulled him down. The man collapsed instantly, shouting hoarsely, "Sir, you've made a mistake, I'm a good person!"

I roared, "Yamada Taiichiro, you owe all the blood debts you owe, what are you still acting for!"

The girl who had been watching me coldly from the side blinked her beautiful eyes, and a pair of pretty tears finally rolled down her cheeks... Part Six, Australian Business Group, Chapters 22-23,

Chapter Twenty-Two: The Battle of Dogs and Wolves.

With a "waaaah," the girl suddenly rushed forward, crying, and hugged my neck tightly. She rubbed her tear-streaked face against mine, making my face wet. Her full, high breasts kneaded against my chest, and she desperately snuggled into my arms.

I spread my arms wide and hurriedly said, "Miss, I'm Long Xiangyu from the Aussie Business Group!"

The girl released my hands, moved slightly away from me, looked at me with a flushed face, and murmured softly, "I'm not stupid, I kissed you!" Then she pounced on me and hugged me again, but this time she didn't hug my neck, but hugged my waist tightly, pressed her face against my chest, and whispered, "Little Yu'er has waited so many years, Little Yu'er's husband has finally appeared!"

My head immediately started spinning. Was this unexpected good fortune too sudden?

I glanced at Yan'er and Shu'er, who were grinning beside me, and whispered, "Let go quickly. I already have too many wives. You're still too young. We're not suitable!"

The girl didn't say anything, just looked up and cried like a little kitten. She smiled charmingly at me, buried her head in my chest again, and after a long while said, "I know you like me. What you said just now was a declaration of love. I understand! You have many wives, but I don't mind. I just feel that you are the one I've finally found after searching all over the world!"

In the end, Yan'er came over and pulled the girl away, saying, "Come on, even if you like him, you can't settle down now. You have to try to make him like you!"

The girl thought for a moment, nodded, and said, "I know. I will make him like me!"

Our group returned to Li Xianglin's command post on the outskirts of Jakarta. Jakarta has been besieged for over a month now, and I estimate the city's food supplies are almost exhausted. Fearing the overseas Chinese would suffer, I said, "With this siege, I'm afraid these wolves and dogs will cut off our food supply first!"

Zhao Ziyu leaned over and said, "I'll go in and try to get the overseas Chinese evacuated!"

I worriedly said, "You're an overseas Chinese, and so beautiful. If you go in, aren't you like a lamb to the slaughter?"

She chuckled, "Pretending? Why don't you keep pretending? You still can't bear to part with me, can you? Don't worry, I'm not stupid. Do you think I'd just go in like that? I'll even put on some makeup if I go. You'll see!"

She then ran into the house, and after a while, a woman in her sixties emerged. Not only was her hair completely white, but her wrinkled face also revealed her advanced age.

I laughed, "Oh, you're quite the expert in this area!"

She laughed, "You think I wouldn't dare to hug you without some skill?"

Yan'er laughed too, "Come on, sister, help me put on some makeup too, let's go in together and give him a good 'flowering'!"

I firmly disagreed with the two of them taking the risk, but they kept nagging, so in the end I let them disguise themselves and enter Jakarta.

A few days after they arrived, the overseas Chinese began leaving one by one, but every family's food and property had been confiscated by the Indonesian "government," which they euphemistically called "trading property for freedom!"

It turned out that after the two of them went in, they immediately united the overseas Chinese. After hearing the two of them explain the Australian business group's determination to eliminate the Indonesian thugs, everyone said they would rather give up everything than leave the city and create conditions for the Australian business group to eliminate the thugs! But when the Indonesian government leaders saw the overseas Chinese were fleeing, they said, "You can leave, but all your food and property must be left behind; only the people are allowed to leave!"

With no other option, and thanks to the promise made by Yan'er on behalf of the Australian business group that everyone would be properly accommodated, the overseas Chinese, with their children, fled within ten days.

Yan'er and Zhao Ziyu immediately became busy arranging things for the overseas Chinese.

Thanks to the houses vacated by the indigenous Indonesians, plus the relief supplies we brought, the fleeing overseas Chinese were all settled near Jakarta in less than a month and began spring planting under our organization.

We besieged the city for another month, and by June 3rd, Jakarta was in chaos. The grand welcome on April 3rd in Jakarta was a distant memory; now it had entered the stage of wolves and dogs fighting over food.

The damned food had driven both wolves and dogs mad. In Jakarta, Japanese and Indonesian troops began fighting fiercely over food. Originally, food was completely scarce, and everyone was tightening their belts. But then someone tipped off a secret, revealing an underground warehouse on St. Lin Street filled to the brim with grain.

This news was both a life-saving stimulant and a lit fuse to a dynamite bomb, a tempting feast. Indonesian and Japanese soldiers received the news simultaneously and dispatched their elite troops. Right there on St. Lin Street, the machine guns of the two armies opened fire.

The starving dogs and wolves revealed their wild nature. If they didn't seize this last straw, would they survive? Japanese General Yoshizawa Takeo and Indonesian Defense Minister Sudaman were usually acquaintances who frequented brothels together. They were inseparable, but when it came to food, they were uncompromising. Hiding behind each other, they shouted hoarsely, "Fight! Fight! Eliminate them to death! We can't let them take a single grain!"

The battle raged fiercely. By the afternoon, both sides had deployed artillery, and several Japanese tanks roared out, rampaging and advancing all the way to the vicinity of the secret grain depot.

Sudaman, enraged, yelled, "Damn those Japanese! Trying to hoard everything? I'll make sure they don't get a single grain of rice today! Men, set up the cannons and blast their crappy tanks! Drive the Japanese away, and we'll eat rice! If we lose to the Japanese, we'll all go hungry!"

His shout roused the Indonesian soldiers. This was a matter of life and death; this wasn't the time to let the Japanese get away with it! The soldiers immediately roared and set up the cannons, firing one after another. Several tanks broke down, one after another, overturned and wrecked by the artillery fire, reduced to piles of junk.

After a day of fighting, the dead soldiers on both sides could have formed a mountain, but no one had approached the warehouse. They only knew its approximate location; no one had seen if there was actually grain inside, nor did they know where the exit was! But no one could give up this last chance for survival!

The lazy, good-for-nothing Indonesians, initially bewildered by the sudden conflict between the dogs and wolves, watched the spectacle from afar, their stomachs rumbling. Some even shouted, "Fine, bastards versus bastards! Let's see who's stronger! If you all die, at least I'll have a bite to eat!"

But when they heard it was about fighting over food, chaos erupted. In a small building, several underworld figures held an emergency meeting to discuss the matter. A bald man, scratching his head covered in bumps, said, "We can't let those soldiers get all the good stuff, or we'll be nothing! Our brothers are starving, if we don't get some food soon, who'll stick with us? I think we have to get our hands on this grain, before they overeat!"

A man wearing reading glasses said timidly, "Those are all soldiers, can you really compete?"

"What do you mean? Even if we can't win, we can't just starve! They won't give it to us no matter who tries. We can't openly confront them, but we can try a sneak attack, right?"

"How can we do that?"

"Didn't you see how fiercely they're fighting? If we fire a few shots from behind, they'll be stunned!" "

Oh my god, they'll turn around and attack us! We're like mice trying to kiss a cat, we're asking for it!"

"Why don't you run away? Do we know this place better than them? If we send them running all over the place, then the warehouse will be ours to keep!"

This bald man was the second of the Ryukyu Four Tigers, named Yoshio Sakamoto. He didn't know his boss had committed a crime. They were all supported by Yukio Kawashima. When the Japanese army came to the island, they armed them with some weapons. Now they had upgraded their weapons and were much stronger than before, so of course they wanted to bite back on their patron!

The crescent moon shone on the smoke-filled streets of Shenglin. The two armies were still fighting fiercely, but neither side had made it to the warehouse, which was now just a stone's throw away.

The Indonesian army was usually not very strong and would run away after a few shots, but now things were different. They were like rabbits that had been provoked to bite. They were about to starve to death, and now that they had food, why not seize it? Plus, they knew the area well and had more people, so although they had suffered heavy casualties, they hadn't said anything cowardly.

Although the Japanese army was a regular force, they had been eating only half-full these days, greatly reducing their strength. Unfamiliar with the terrain, they hadn't gained much advantage after fighting for a while, and could only blockade the streets to prevent the Indonesian army from entering the warehouse area.

Thick clouds gradually rolled in like a tide, dimming the streets and adding to the somber atmosphere. Suddenly, deafening explosions rang out simultaneously from both Indonesian and Japanese positions, followed by towering flames that forced soldiers on both sides to jump up and scramble to extinguish the fires and repel enemy attacks! The battle instantly transformed into a three-sided, no, four-sided battle, with the rapid-fire gunfire intensifying, all coming from the latest Japanese-made rifles and machine guns.

Japanese General Yoshizawa Takeo and Indonesian Defense Minister Sudaman both knew that those fighting were their close associates, their "brotherly" troops whom Japan had armed. Now, however, they were both facing attacks from two sides, and none of them were in a favorable situation. Therefore, they were fighting desperately, trying to carve out a path!

The ferocity of these "dogs and wolves" was truly spectacular!

Chapter Twenty-Three: The Volcanic Eruption. The

wolf-dog war ended five days later, not because anyone had won, but because everyone was starving. Finally, the three sides reached an agreement to find food and distribute it per capita.

Under the supervision of representatives from all three sides, they began to open the supposedly important granary.

Hundreds of people worked for three days, demolishing all the houses and digging dozens of meters deep, but they couldn't even find a trace of an underground granary. Only then did they realize they had been tricked by the Chinese!

But now they couldn't even find anyone to vent their anger on. The Chinese had all been released; those remaining were wolves and dogs loyal to the Japanese. Did they kill the wolves or the dogs? It was all the same!

Hunger had turned the city's inhabitants into wolves; all edible food had been looted by the ravenous wolves. After struggling for two more days, they finally had no choice but to raise the white flag and surrender to the Australian conglomerate.

Jakarta was now a half-dead city; everything that could breathe was half-dead and listless.

The young girl Zhao Ziyu, along with her group of friends and the three thousand female soldiers she had obtained from Shu'er, searched the city for unmarried Indonesian and Japanese women, selecting over forty thousand at once. These women were then transported to Longhua Island and handed over to several large textile factories to be trained as workers. The plan was to discipline them and then marry them off to our soldiers. After these two large-scale recruitments, the male-to-female ratio on the island began to approach balance, and my soldiers from China could now expect to find wives, which was good for the island's development. Of course, the seeds of hatred in these women's hearts also needed to be slowly eroded through education and influence; this was a long-term project.

In order to eliminate the murderer, Pu Lin and Pu Fei gathered everyone on Bali for investigation and education. I was afraid that they would engage in human trafficking again, so I called them and their wives into my room and gave them a long lecture. I said, “I already know that you trafficked people to the Americas last time! Although this has some benefits for the future development of Indonesia, reducing instability, development and construction require people. Without people, who will you entrust the Indonesian islands to? Moreover, human trafficking will eventually be discovered, which will damage our reputation! I don’t want any more human trafficking issues to occur, and I hope you will think twice.”

The four people nodded very seriously. Soong Mei-ling added, “If Father sees us selling anyone, he can deal with us however he wants! Actually, we didn’t sell anyone last time. We just sent some people to the small islands next to Bali to garrison every day. Those American traffickers went to the islands themselves and recruited people to leave. They sold themselves secretly, and we were the ones counting the money! This time, we’re just conducting centralized education, mainly to prevent these people from reverting to their despicable ways! As for the personnel for development and construction, we have already started recruiting immigrants in Sichuan and Guangdong. This has been approved by the Chinese government, and more than 400,000 migrant workers have already signed up. Including their families, there should be more than a million people, enough to develop and build a new Tenghua Island!”

I was stunned: “What, Tenghua Island?”

Cai Xin laughed, "Oh, it was our eldest brother and sister-in-law's idea! They renamed Indonesia the Tenghua Islands, New Zealand the Tianhua Island, and the Hawaiian Islands the Xiahua Island, combining them into 'Dragon Soars Across the World'! Their intention is to make it easier to manage; we should establish a 'Dragon Soars Across the World' empire!"

I sighed, "You want to march on Hawaii?"

Pu Lin hesitated, then said, "Our two mothers said that place is very important. If we don't control it, it will be occupied by the United States and become a bargaining chip for the US to control the world later. Mother also said that Father has long been determined to take that place back!"

I knew that Yan'er and Fei'er remembered what I had said before; they didn't want to lose this strategic location, but were we overstepping our bounds? I hesitated for a long time before saying, "Then let's do as your mothers arrange!"

"Yes, sir!" The four of them happily saluted me!

I glanced at my two daughters-in-law, whose bellies were already showing, and said with some concern, "Meiling and Xin'er, you need to take better care of yourselves. You need to build your empire, but you also need to cherish your health!"

The two immediately blushed and said, "Thank you for your concern, Dad!"

Sigh, I already have children of my own generation; how can I still indulge in philandering? I should just reject that Ziyu!

After seeing the four children off, I was racking my brains trying to figure out how to persuade Zhao Ziyu when she rushed over in a flurry: "Honey, Sister Yan'er said that after the Indonesian issue is completely resolved, a mass wedding will be held simultaneously at several locations in Longhua on Qixi Festival (Chinese Valentine's Day). We calculated that over 83,000 couples will participate in the ceremony that day. Sister Yan'er and Sister Fei'er want us to get married on that day too, so it's a celebration for both officers and soldiers. Dad and the other sisters have already made preparations for us. The group's announcement has been sent out, saying that President Long Xiangyu will be marrying his last wife, Zhao Ziyu, and a soldier together on the Magpie Bridge! Isn't that meaningful?!"

Her words stunned me. I never expected my two wives to come up with such a wicked plan to deal with me. On the surface, it seems like she's adding another wife to my family, but in reality, she's closing the door on future women for me. Just as Lan'er planned, she's limited my wives to the twentieth! But she doesn't know that I don't even want the twentieth one!

I hurriedly asked, "Has the announcement been issued?"

She spread her legs and sat on my lap, wrapped her arms around my neck, tilted her head, her beautiful eyes sparkling, and said with a grin, "Are you regretting it? Let me tell you, it's too late. The announcement is out everywhere now, and everyone is happy that His Majesty has taken in his last imperial concubine. It's too late for you to change your mind! Don't you think I would tell you this if I wasn't absolutely certain? Love me well, I'm your last wife to enter the family! By the way, Uncle Li Hongzhang and his wife even sent congratulatory gifts, saying they want to drink your last cup of wedding wine!"

I was truly at my wit's end. I reached out and patted her little bottom, saying, "Aren't you making me look bad? Don't you see my daughter-in-law is already heavily pregnant? How can I, in my frivolous ways, take in wives and concubines? How can I face the world?"

"You've married all nineteen, and I'm the only one left? Do you think I'm ugly? I've heard that if we do a few rounds of dual cultivation, I'll be as pretty as those older sisters! How about we do a couple right now?"

My head was spinning. I sighed and asked, "How's the progress of liberating Sumatra, Kalimantan, and Irian Jaya?"

She playfully kissed me and said, "Don't worry, everything's going smoothly. The battle is over, and the troops are transporting prisoners to Bali!"

I asked, "All of them?"

"Can they even get them all over here? They're divided into three groups. The first group consists of people of Chinese descent. Not only do they stay put, but we're also helping them arrange their production and living conditions. The second group includes those who didn't participate in the anti-China activities. They've all stayed where they are, and we're helping them resume production as soon as possible. The third group consists of those who participated in the anti-China activities. We can probably pick out about a third of them. They've all been concentrated on Bali. Bali is in a chaotic mess right now. Pu Lin and Pu Fei are having people teach them the principles of getting rich through hard work! But those bastards are used to being lazy and good-for-nothing. I don't think a leopard can change its spots!"

The four kids were really good at organizing things. They actually set up study classes for those people, not only reuniting their families but also letting them manage themselves, organizing them into platoons and battalions, and putting them in a semi-military lifestyle. They even transported wine and meat for them to improve their lives on weekends.

They also invited foreign envoys to the island to attend a few classes, so that the world would know how the Australian business group treated prisoners of war well.

Immigrants from China began arriving in the Teng Hua Islands and Tian Hua Island. We organized a large number of staff to help settle them, distributing food and land to them and helping them build new villages.

The four children arranged for some of the more educated people to settle in several cities, helping them establish factories, shops, workshops, schools, and mines, which led to the rapid recovery and development of the local economy.

Now, the island's residents are mostly speaking Mandarin as their mother tongue. Soong Mei-ling issued an order requiring all regions to popularize Beijing dialect within one year. Anyone still not speaking Beijing dialect after one year would be fined, and anyone still unable to speak it after two years would be expelled from the four "Dragon Soaring Across the World" islands.

Everything was proceeding smoothly. The training classes in Bali were also making progress, and the students were beginning to be assigned places to settle down. The four children largely respected the students' choices, issuing them residence permits, and preparing to finish their studies soon and return to their homes.

On June 20th, the "Dragon Soars Across the World Empire" was established in Longhua City. I served as the first president of the empire, Pu Lin served as the prime minister, and Pu Fei, my twenty wives, Cao Futian, Li Xianglin, and others served as vice prime ministers, state councilors, and ministers of the government.

On June 26th, the three thousand people who performed well in the training class were the first to return home and boarded the Longhua ship back to Jakarta. Pu Lin held a welcome rally in Jakarta, where he said, "More than a million people will return to their respective places to participate in the construction of the new Tenghua. I hope that all of our people will not be divided by race or faction. You are all citizens of the 'Longteng Tianxia' Empire, all of one nation, that is, the Han nation! Let us unite closely around the Australian business group led by President Long Xiangyu, and build the 'Longteng Tianxia Empire' into one of the most powerful countries in the world, so that our Chinese nation will forever stand proudly at the forefront of the nations of the world!"

As soon as he finished speaking, he was shocked by the tragic news that Mount Agung in Bali had suddenly erupted, and the island was completely covered by thick smoke and volcanic ash.

Pu Lin was stunned and immediately ordered the rescue of the island's inhabitants at all costs. The Imperial People's Army Navy was dispatched to Bali, but due to the intense volcanic eruption, the troops dared not land to avoid further harm to innocent civilians.

Ten days later, the volcano stopped erupting, and Pu Lin and I landed on Bali. There wasn't a soul to be seen on the island; the lava was still scorching hot, making it impossible to breathe. There was no possibility of life remaining!

Pu Lin delivered a somber speech and designated June 20th as a national day of mourning, holding a large-scale memorial service on July 1st of the lunar calendar.

Although Pu Lin and his four children, Pu Fei and Pu Lin, appeared deeply grieved, I always felt there was something fishy going on. However, it was better to avoid trouble. After my marriage to Zhao Ziyu on July 7th, my wives and I gradually withdrew to the sidelines, ignoring their gossip. Yan'er, Fei'er, and I immersed ourselves in the Imperial Academy of Sciences, diligently studying science and technology.

In March 1926, the U.S. military invaded Hawaii and overthrew the local legitimate government. Pu Lin, the acting president of the Longteng Tianxia Empire, Soong Mei-ling, the prime minister, Pu Fei, the first vice prime minister, and Cai Xin, the foreign minister, approached me and strongly requested that troops be sent to Hawaii to have a real battle with the United States.

In recent years, Wen'er's Academy of Sciences has achieved hundreds of leading scientific and technological results in the world. Our aircraft carriers have been launched one after another. Our warships and fighter jets are now the world's best in both quantity and quality. Our atomic bomb has been successfully tested as an intercontinental ballistic missile. Our nuclear submarines have been launched one after another. Our People's Army has completed multiple joint sea, land and air combat exercises. We are now strong enough to compete with the United States. We should also send this future world policeman back to his hometown.

I convened a board meeting overnight and asked Pu Lin to give his opinion. After some debate, the board unanimously voted to: Fight!

Chapter 24 of Part 6, The Pacific War (Part 1)

Upon hearing that there was going to be a war, Zhao Ziyu was so happy that she jumped up and down. She snuggled into my arms and started to act coquettishly: "Husband, I have to participate in this war. My sisters have all made contributions to the Long family in battles big and small. I entered the Long family by being shameless. No way, this time I have to make a contribution to the Long family! Let me live with some self-respect!"

Damn it, this girl, she knows she's shameless?

I said, "The liberation of Xiahua Island mainly involves the navy. You don't understand the navy, what can you do?"

Unexpectedly, she hugged me and started crying, "Husband, don't you like me? You lied to me about such a small thing, as if I were a child. Even if the navy fights, won't there still be amphibious landing operations? Won't we have to eliminate the enemy on the island, and occupy the island?"

This girl, she doesn't understand anything. There was no other way but to agree to let her send her three thousand female soldiers to participate in the battle, but only later in the war! She pouted for several days because of this, until Li'er said to her, "Don't be ungrateful! You don't even understand that your husband is reluctant to part with you, you silly girl!"

Upon hearing this, the little girl immediately smiled brightly and happily went to organize the training.

Because they hadn't found a military command genius, the burden of the Minister of National Defense remained on Shu'er's shoulders. After the board meeting, Shu'er immediately convened a secret military meeting of the People's Army to formulate a complete set of strategies and tactics. At the military conference, I solemnly declared, “Besides reclaiming the Hawaiian Islands, you have an even more important mission this time! Do you all remember that in the Boxer Protocol, I had a clause added that ‘no missiles of any kind exceeding 1000 tnt shall be developed, used, proliferated, or produced. Anyone found to have experimented with or developed such missiles shall be fined ten times the amount of the damage caused!’ Now you understand, that refers to atomic bombs and nuclear weapons. Today, we have conclusive evidence that the United States has a heavy water plant and a nuclear weapons research and testing base codenamed ‘Devil’s Tears’ in Salt Lake City, and a secret research center in Atlanta. This time, we must seize this opportunity to pull out this immature nuclear tooth! We must never allow the United States to possess nuclear weapons! This mission is the touchstone for testing your People’s Army. You must complete it; there can be no compromise whatsoever!”

The name “People’s Army” for our army was decided upon after repeated discussions between myself and my twenty wives. Yan'er wanted to continue using the Chinese army's name, calling it the People's Liberation Army, while Shu'er wanted to call it the National Defense Army. I rejected both, saying, "The mission of our army now is completely different from that of the Chinese army back then. Back then, China was brutally occupied by foreign imperialists, and the primary mission of the Chinese army was to liberate those territories. But our Longteng Tianxia Empire was not built on the basis of colonies or semi-colonies. Our army has no mission to liberate the territories lost by our ancestors! Calling it the People's Liberation Army is inappropriate. Our army is not simply to defend the land we have already occupied and maintain the peace of the country. Our army is to expand the territory for the people and to achieve a world of great harmony! Therefore, I still think it is more accurate to call our army the People's Army. The army belongs to the people and must fight for the people and expand the territory for the people!"

My explanation was finally approved by all my wives, and the purpose of our army was established!

After the military conference, Shu'er quickly mobilized the Yue Fei and Huo Qubing aircraft carrier battle groups, as well as the 1st and 3rd Marine Divisions, to begin the recapture of the various islands scattered in the western Pacific. This matter was extremely difficult to handle. Due to the scattered islands and their complex terrain, some bandits often attacked and then fled, hiding and refusing to come out, leaving us overwhelmed and in a very chaotic situation. However, the children already had experience fighting in Indonesia, and although it took some effort, rapid progress was made.

The Chinese navy also cooperated, quickly deploying its fleet to recapture Luzon, Mindanao, and other Pacific islands, and dividing the waters with the imperial army in Borneo and the Mariana Islands, each controlling their own territory. This essentially brought the Pacific islands under the control of China and the Longteng Tianxia Empire.

After more than a year of fighting over a hundred battles, large and small, the Imperial People's Army conquered hundreds of indigenous tribes and drove out the Japanese, British, and French colonial forces. By December 1927, there was nowhere left for the United States to anchor in the Western Pacific except for the Hawaiian Islands. Meanwhile, we had built large naval bases in the Marshall Islands, Guam, Majuro Island, and Christmas Island in the Leylan Islands, each with 150,000 troops stationed there. Our two newly launched nuclear submarines also began patrolling the west coast of the United States. On

April 1, 1928, the US naval fleet stationed in Hawaii sank a bulk carrier belonging to the Dragon Empire, which was traveling between the Empire and Alaska. That same day, Imperial President Pulin issued a statement to the world through the Chinese Broadcasting Network and the Dragon Empire Broadcasting Network, strongly condemning the provocative actions of the US government and demanding that the US government apologize to the Dragon Empire within 24 hours, hand over the perpetrators to the Empire for punishment, and compensate for the losses of one hundred million US dollars. Otherwise, the Imperial government would not be responsible for any consequences arising therefrom.

Under harsh conditions, the US government rejected the Imperial government's demands.

At 10:10 PM on April 2nd, Longhua time, 36 bombers from the Imperial Air Force took off from two aircraft carriers and launched a surprise attack on 13 US naval bases and 6 air force bases in the Hawaiian Islands. They sank 48 US ships of various types, leveled all the newly constructed airfields on the islands, destroyed all fighter and civilian aircraft, and 16 air defense positions, quickly gaining air superiority over the Hawaiian Islands.

The following day, 14 US merchant ships and 3 cruise ships sailing in the Western Pacific were captured by the Imperial Navy and taken back to Longhua Port. Four cruisers and six patrol boats on the US West Coast were sunk by the Imperial Navy without any enemy activity detected. A US military transport plane was forced to divert by three Chinese fighter planes and made an emergency landing at the Majuro Island military airfield.

Immediately, President Pu Lin, representing the Longteng Tianxia Empire, declared war on the United States, stating, "The US government disregards the existence of our Longteng Tianxia Empire and openly attacks our merchant ships on the high seas, causing significant losses to the lives and property of our Australian merchant group. Our people can no longer tolerate the shameless piracy of the US government and have decided to defend our empire with our lives and blood, and safeguard our maritime rights! We will let all those clowns who dare challenge the people of the Longteng Tianxia Empire know that the Han Chinese are forever a nation that stands tall and proud!"

Following this, the Longteng Tianxia Empire's Minister of Defense, Park Chun-sook, issued orders to the Imperial Armed Forces to advance on Hawaii and blockade all sea and air routes to Hawaii.

On April 3rd, the US government also declared war on the Longteng Tianxia Empire, deploying troops to seize all the Australian merchant group's assets in the United States and ordering the navy to attack our merchant fleets on various sea routes.

Because we were well-prepared, the Empire's losses were minimal.

On April 3, the Chinese government issued a statement protesting the piracy committed by the US military in attacking merchant ships of the Longteng Tianxia Empire, announcing that the Chinese navy would participate in the blockade of Hawaii and protect the right of Longteng Tianxia Empire merchant ships to navigate normally at sea, preventing any ships heading towards Hawaii from passing through Chinese waters.

Germany, Britain, France, Canada, Brazil, and other countries subsequently issued statements hoping that the US and China could peacefully resolve all disputes.

The Japanese government, observing the situation, only issued a perfunctory statement through its Foreign Minister.

While there is no word for "romance" in Hawaiian, the romantic spirit permeates every corner of Hawaii. Located in the North Pacific Ocean, Hawaii comprises over 130 islands, including the Big Island, Maui, Oahu, Kauai, Niihau, Molokai, Lana, and Kahoolawe, stretching 1,500 miles across the Pacific in an arc. The word "Hawaii" originates from Polynesian. Around the 4th century AD, a group of Polynesians arrived in canoes and settled there, naming the islands "Hawaii," meaning "home of the natives." The first European to discover the archipelago was the British navigator Captain James Cook, who landed on the Hawaiian Islands in 1778 and was murdered by the islanders the following year. In 1795, Chief Kamehameha conquered other tribes and established the Kingdom of Hawaii. In March 1926, the U.S. Pacific Fleet launched a surprise attack on Oahu, Hawaii, causing the Hawaiian Kingdom's army to collapse rapidly. On March 15th, the United States declared Hawaii annexed by the United States. (Historically, Hawaii was annexed by the United States in 1898. Due to our presence and containment, the US hesitated. Now, seeing the Chinese government busy consolidating its influence in West Asia and us busy dealing with anti-China forces in Indonesia, it seized the opportunity to send troops to occupy this valuable territory.) After the Empire declared war and blockaded Hawaii's sea and air transport routes, the US Navy in Hawaii lived in constant tension, unsure when the Empire's forces would attack. Every day, they were terrified by the sight of several eagles appearing on the horizon, thinking it was another bombing raid by the Dragon Empire. Air raid sirens sounded frequently, creating a climate of fear. But strangely, the Dragon Empire only blockaded the transport routes; it didn't attack Hawaii at all. Even its warships didn't appear in the nearby waters, and even the once arrogant and domineering Imperial Air Force disappeared. This left the highest-ranking US military commander in Hawaii, General Cruise, completely baffled—what was the Dragon Empire trying to do? Was it afraid, or was there a bigger conspiracy?

But the harsh reality that followed gradually became apparent. All of America's efforts to transport supplies to Hawaii were completely thwarted, leaving 200,000 American soldiers on the island facing the danger of running out of food and fuel for their warships. The island's military and civilians were gripped by fear and anxiety.

Cruise now understood that the Dragon Empire was employing a ruthless tactic of subduing the enemy without fighting!

On April 10th, at Cruise's repeated requests, the U.S. Department of Defense dispatched a powerful escort fleet led by U.S. Navy Commander Booker, consisting of 24 warships led by the light aircraft carrier USS Washington and 16 torpedo boats, to escort eight transport ships fully loaded with food and military supplies to Hawaii.

Upon receiving the report, Shu'er exclaimed happily, "The big fish has finally surfaced! The battle to besiege the enemy and strike at their reinforcements is about to begin. This battle will keep the Americans in check for ten or eight years, giving China and the Longteng Tianxia Empire another ten years of peaceful development!"

Seeing that Booker's fleet had already left the US mainland more than a thousand nautical miles away, Shu'er immediately ordered Zhen'er's son, Naval Commander Pu Dong, to lead the Yue Fei and Huo Qubing aircraft carrier task forces, consisting of forty-six warships, six submarines, and fifteen torpedo boats, to join the encirclement and annihilation of Booker's naval fleet.

Thus, the Pacific naval war between the Longteng Tianxia Empire and the US Navy began.

Chapter 25 of Part Six, The Australian Business Group, The Pacific Naval War (Part Two):

On April 14, amidst a raging storm, a large fleet and transport convoy composed of US naval forces was sailing along the Tropic of Cancer towards Honolulu, Hawaii. The fleet planned to reach the Big Island of Hawaii within two days. The battleship USS Vincent, commanded by Admiral Kron, was more familiar with the sea area and served as the vanguard of the fleet, sailing at the very front. Following closely behind was the pride of the US Navy—the 42,000-ton USS Washington aircraft carrier. Flanking it were six battleships and six cruisers arranged in a wing-like formation. Behind them were eight large transport ships and two fleet supply ships, each flanked by eight frigates. Further back were the fleet's other six cruisers and fifteen torpedo boats flanking them. Six diesel submarines, needing to refuel and refuel, followed below the supply ships. Six of the fleet's newest Black Widow anti-submarine helicopters circled overhead.

Accompanying the US carrier strike group were two large transport ships carrying 12,000 Marines.

Air reconnaissance revealed that the combined fleet of the Longteng Tianxia Empire was currently operating near the Northern Mariana Islands, preventing Japan's southward encroachment; the Yue Fei aircraft carrier battle group, led by Pu Dong, was deployed in the Tuamotu Islands, clearing out the remaining French forces.

Booker looked away from the nautical chart and said casually, "Even if they knew about our operation, it would be too late, too far for them to reach us!"

He then took a deep drag on his cigar, exhaling white smoke rings as he casually tapped the chart board in his hand.

He firmly believed that the Imperial army's true target was the islands surrounding Longhua Island, not Hawaii, thousands of miles away. He believed that the Dragon Empire's special forces, already infiltrated into Hawaii, were there to harass the United States and increase their leverage in demanding compensation.

Because of its greater distance from China, the United States had enjoyed a period of relatively peaceful development in recent years, allowing its economy and technology to advance rapidly and surpass those established imperialist powers. However, compared to the privileged Dragon Empire, it was still worlds apart. Sure enough, two Imperial Navy nuclear submarines were constantly following the Washington aircraft carrier, closely monitoring its engine room and six nearby submarines.

Suddenly, the situation changed drastically. Aboard the flagship USS Calvin, Booker heard several muffled explosions. Then, he watched as flames engulfed the USS Washington, thick smoke obscuring the entire ship. When the smoke cleared, he found the Washington gone. The flagship's captain stumbled in: "Commander, the aircraft carrier and six submarines have lost contact with us simultaneously. It seems there's an ambush by the Dragon Empire nearby."

"An ambush?" He was startled. Could there be submarines of the Dragon Empire lurking here? But why hadn't our sonar detected anything? Why didn't we know when they had approached us? He immediately ordered, "Order the anti-submarine aircraft to launch immediately, find the enemy submarines, and destroy them decisively!"

The captain said with a mournful face, "The anti-submarine aircraft just reported that they had not received any information about any enemy ships underwater! Could they have stealth submarines? Why haven't we found a single trace of them?"

Booker shook his head and said, "Unlikely, could they have run into a torpedo?"

The first officer spread his hands: "Even more unlikely, torpedoes can't take on our submarines one-on-one!"

"Then let the anti-submarine aircraft search the surrounding waters more carefully!"

The six anti-submarine aircraft searched for a while, found nothing, and then hurriedly flew towards Honolulu. Without the aircraft carrier, their immediate priority was to find a foothold; their fuel wouldn't last much longer.

The two submarines had already left the US fleet after launching their torpedoes, so of course they couldn't find them. But now, the two task forces of the Dragon Empire were heading towards the US fleet.

April 15th, off the coast of Midway Island. A squadron of black bombers shattered the morning tranquility. Nine bombers flew towards Midway Island at 350 knots. As they approached the island, they split into three groups: three flew directly to the US Air Force base in the bay, three targeted the US Army command post on Midway, and the other three attacked the US Marine Corps barracks.

Midway Island trembled instantly amidst thick smoke and flames. American troops scrambled about like headless ants, searching for a safe haven.

After the first wave of bombing by the Dragon Empire ended, the resounding bugle calls of the Dragon Empire followed. Dozens of Dragon Empire landing ships transported tens of thousands of troops to the island. Facing the demoralized American soldiers, the Dragon Empire's soldiers seized control of the American forward positions with a single charge. By 3 PM, the sound of gunfire had ceased on the island, and the Dragon Empire's forces had firmly secured Midway.

The phone lines at the U.S. military headquarters in Hawaii were ringing off the hook. Upon receiving the emergency call from Midway, Cruise immediately ordered the 41st Cavalry Regiment to board a transport ship to support the troops there. However, before they could even board, Oahu descended into chaos. A massive explosion occurred in the headquarters' staff quarters, killing the deputy commander instantly. Then, ammunition and fuel depots caught fire, followed by another massive explosion that shattered all the windows on the island. Next, mortar shells rained down on the barracks, sending American soldiers scattering in panic. With their own rear in turmoil, there was no strength left to support Midway. Cruise had no choice but to order a concentrated defense of Oahu.

Meanwhile, in the Pacific Ocean, two massive Dragon Empire aircraft carrier task forces were rapidly encircling the American fleet from the east and west along the Tropic of Cancer at a speed of 18 knots.

When news arrived that the Imperial forces had successfully landed on Midway, Pu Dong was extremely excited; now it was his turn to destroy the American fleet. The intelligence relayed from the nuclear submarine indicated that the US Second Task Force was located approximately 600 nautical miles east of Hawaii. Pu Dong ordered the fleet to split into two groups; he would personally lead Yuan Chonghuan's carrier strike group to intercept the US fleet from the west. The carrier strike group sailed eastward against the giant waves of the western Pacific. At 6:00 AM, reconnaissance aircraft reported that the enemy ships were 300 nautical miles away. Pu Dong believed the time for attack had arrived and immediately ordered all aircraft to take off. The largest naval battle in the Pacific War between China and the US was about to begin. As the carrier-based aircraft took off from the carrier, the beautiful female staff officer Xu Lei was diligently calculating the latest position, distance, and speed of the US fleet beside Pu Dong. As soon as she uttered the data and position, Pu Dong impatiently relayed the calculation results to all cruisers and destroyers in the attack formation, preparing to launch an attack on the US fleet. Pu Dong planned a coordinated and fierce attack on the US fleet, employing a "one-hit kill" tactic to knock the US fleet to the ground with a single blow.

At Pu Dong's command, hundreds of large-caliber shells simultaneously launched from cruisers and destroyers, hurtling towards the American fleet. A fiery cloud instantly swept across the sky, hurtling towards the American fleet. The Western Pacific immediately erupted in chaos; countless giant waves surged around the American fleet. Six warships, eight transport ships, and two supply ships sank amidst smoke and flames, and countless crying American soldiers floated and struggled in the sea. Before Booker's order for a counterattack could reach the warships, attack aircraft from the Longteng Tianxia Empire roared in from the sky.

The attack aircraft attacked the American fleet formation in two waves. Among them, 25 carrier-based fighter-attack aircraft, launched from Yuan Chonghuan's aircraft carrier, charged towards the enemy ships in a triangular formation, strafing the American soldiers frantically running to their gun positions, riddling the bridges of more than a dozen warships with holes and engulfing them in flames. Following closely behind were sixteen bombers launched from the aircraft carrier Huo Qubing, concentrating their attack on the American fleet. Twelve escort ships of the American fleet quickly sank to the bottom of the sea. The vast ocean was littered with burning American ships and struggling American sailors. Faced with this crushing defeat, Booker had no choice but to organize the remaining ships to launch a counterattack against the Dragon Empire's fleet.

The heavy losses suffered by the American fleet spurred the remaining American soldiers' fighting spirit; they quickly rushed onto the turrets and began to return fire against the Dragon fleet. The real naval battle had only just begun.

The battleship Vincent, commanded by Kron, first targeted the Dragon Empire's flagship, the Flying Fish, firing several shots in unison. The Flying Fish immediately burst into flames, and the command cabin collapsed in the inferno. In the instant of the explosion, Pu Dong, who was in command, was pushed to the ground by someone, who then lay on top of him. After the explosion, the soldiers, while counterattacking Vincent, simultaneously organized their forces to rush into the command cabin to rescue their commander.

The command cabin was engulfed in flames. The captain cried out, "Quick, our Commander Pu Dong is still inside!" Just as he was about to rush in, a man, engulfed in flames and carrying a soldier, staggered out.

The captain wept with joy, "Commander, are you alright?"

Pu Dong shouted urgently, "Quick, rescue Xu Lei! She was wounded saving me!"

Seeing the command ship damaged, the Dragon Army soldiers went mad. Hundreds of cannons slammed into Vincent. Kron and his warship hadn't even caught their breath before they plunged into the sea.

The naval battle was no longer intense. The powerful Dragon Army fleet quickly annihilated the American fleet's warships and torpedo boats, sending them all to sea. The

Dragon Empire's amphibious forces, having arrived off the coast of Oahu, were ecstatic upon receiving news of the naval victory. Through reconnaissance, Shu'er discovered that the southwestern beach of the island was an ideal landing area, and there were no American troops stationed in that region. Long Jun swiftly launched an amphibious assault. Landing craft carrying the landing assault team departed from the amphibious assault fleet and quickly seized the beachhead. Light armored units then disembarked from dock landing ships and rapidly landed. Following this, various types of mechanized landing craft, amphibious transport vehicles, and heavy equipment transported troops ashore. After the 3rd Marine Division established a foothold on the beachhead, Zhao Ziyu's 3,000-strong female army and Shu'er's special forces landed. By 5 PM, the landing forces had completed their assembly and began their deep assault.

As dusk fell, aerial reconnaissance revealed a lightly equipped U.S. Army unit advancing westward along the road towards Long Jun's assembly point. Shu'er immediately decided to have the 3rd Marine Division engage them head-on, while Zhao Ziyu's 3,000-strong female army and Shu'er's special forces would flank them. An hour later, our aircraft and heavy artillery launched a fierce attack on the U.S. forces. Then, under the cover of Long-class tanks, our Marines launched a frontal assault on the U.S. forces. After several hours of fierce fighting, the American armored forces were annihilated, while the infantry scattered into the woods on both sides of the road to continue their resistance. At this moment, Zhao Ziyu's 3,000-strong female army and Shu'er's special forces flanked the American

forces from both sides, forcing the remaining American troops to surrender. The American naval commander stationed in Hawaii discovered that the Dragon Empire's army had landed on Oahu and immediately led his fleet to flank the landing force from the right. Cruise also ordered the 30,000 troops of the 1st and 3rd Cavalry Divisions to advance on the landing force from the land!

Part Six, Chapter 26: The Great Pacific War (Part Three)

Upon receiving the reconnaissance report that enemy ships had entered the waters south of Oahu, Shu'er chuckled and hugged my neck, saying, "Honey, how can we fight this war? It's pointless. Americans may not be likable in many ways, but they're more obedient than our children! I really can't bring myself to fight them! Look, we've just cast our net, and they're already rushing here. It seems like not fighting would be a huge disservice to these kids! Sigh, it's a real dilemma!"

I smiled and patted her little bottom affectionately, saying, "Don't just focus on fighting and strategizing. Try to take care of the kids too. I want to take you all on a trip like Li Hongzhang! You're always clinging to the army; don't say I've abandoned you and taken them away! Don't cry then!" "You dare !"

she said, hugging me tightly. "You spoil her rotten. She can't eat or sleep without you. Now you're dumping her? Are you trying to kill me? Fine, let's go now. I'm not working for you anymore. I'll have a helicopter come pick us up right now. Let's go to the ends of the earth, to the corners of the sea. I'm sticking with you! Don't even think about leaving me!"

I angrily cursed, "You crazy woman! The enemy is already here, and you don't even care about fighting. All you know is running away with a man!"

She retorted confidently, "What's wrong with running away with a man? He's not some random guy. I'm a lawfully wedded wife of the Long family!" As she spoke, she picked up the phone and said, "Brother Deng, send our private jet over. Oh, and pick up Xiaoyu first. We're going sightseeing with the president. Aren't you coming?"

Isn't this ridiculous? The enemy is already in the encirclement, and she's doing this. I really don't know what she's thinking! I tried to grab the phone, but she slammed it down and looked at me mischievously, saying, "What, you naughty husband? Who are you trying to scare? Let's see who's afraid of whom in this world!"

A moment later, the plane really did circle above the flagship. She grabbed my hand and said, "Hurry up, or you'll miss the exciting scene!"

Before I could react, Yan'er appeared out of nowhere, grabbed my other arm, and dragged me out.

Once on the plane, I was truly stunned. All twenty of my little wives were there, even the heavily pregnant Ying'er was sitting in front of me, hugging her belly and laughing.

I asked curiously, "What are you all up to today? The enemy is pressing us from both land and sea, and you want me to take you sightseeing? Are you crazy? Don't you care about the country or your family?"

Fei'er said, "You, as an emperor, have become too bureaucratic. Whether this battle goes well or poorly is no longer our concern. Now it's Shu'er's precious girl, Pu Xiang, who's in charge. Old Deng is in the cockpit of the plane now; he's been stripped of power. It's Min'er's precious son, Pu Fei, who's in charge on the Yue Fei ship. Shu'er and the others have been leading them for a long time. From the landing to luring the enemy from Honolulu out, to this big net, it's all Xiang'er's clever ideas. We haven't said a word. Now that Shu'er is relieved, she dragged you up to the sky to watch the show!" As she spoke, she handed me a high-powered telescope: "Just sit there and watch the battle. The country needs talented people to emerge, and a new generation will replace the old! You're too old; retire and watch the children perform." " Act!"

Xiaoyu'er, the youngest and now the most affectionate, saw me sit down and ran over, spread her legs, and sat on my lap facing me. She held my head with both hands and looked at me for a long time before jokingly saying, "Sister Fei'er's words are so disappointing. How can you say my husband is old when he's so young and handsome? That's enough. If anyone says my husband is old again, I'll fight them to the death! If anyone says my husband is old, give me their time with him. I don't mind that he's old!"

Fei'er laughed and said, "Look at you, there are still people in the world with such thick skin. You've taken Ying'er's time, and now you want other people's time too. Are you ever going to have enough?"

I'm not in control of my own life now. The head housekeeper, Zhen'er, has set a schedule for all the wives to spend time with me, without any bias. Yan'er supervises the execution. Each time it's just the two of them. Xiaoyu'er is eager to get pregnant and has even borrowed Ying'er's time. Moreover, she's probably pregnant now, but she's still reluctant to leave. No wonder Fei'er makes fun of her.

The little girl hugged me tightly, burying her head in my chest: "I'm the last one to arrive, I've already suffered, please, ladies, give way a little, don't be so ungrateful!" Just then, news came from the four escorting fighter jets that the enemy fleet had arrived and was heading straight for the trap set by Pu Xiang.

Pu Xiang probably really inherited her mother's genes; she loved reading military books from a young age, especially studying case studies of marching and troop deployment. She could recite the Sino-Japanese War, the Battle of Beijing, several major Sino-Russian wars, and the major wars between China and Britain and France fluently, and she could even point out the problems in which battles were fought and how to improve them!

Shu'er saw that she was indeed a promising talent, so she started mentoring her when she was nine years old. After each battle, she would first let her give her opinion, and then point out what was correct and what was lacking. Over time, the little girl improved rapidly, and unexpectedly, she was now shouldering heavy responsibilities!

As we spoke, the enemy ships began to enter the encirclement. Apparently, they had discovered too many reefs and islands nearby, and began to linger outside the encirclement, even showing signs of turning back.

I sighed, "This is Xiang'er's ship! Looks like the enemy is trying to escape!"

Ying'er, being Shu'er's close friend, knew Pu Xiang's strength best. She laughed, "It's probably not so easy for them to escape. Didn't you see the nuclear submarine was already deployed? Xiang'er anticipated this move!"

Sure enough, the two enemy ships at the rear suddenly exploded. One was cut in two, gushing water, while the other lost its stern, resembling a large wax candle, stuck in the turbulent sea, burning fiercely.

The explosions startled the enemy ships, who immediately increased their speed and frantically fired depth charges, attempting to force our submarine away. However, this seemed ineffective. The two warships at the back exploded one after another, losing their momentum and beginning to drift at sea.

These successive attacks accelerated the enemy ships' advance into the encirclement. In less than an hour, the remaining 28 ships of various sizes had successfully entered the encirclement.

Command issued an urgent order for the aircraft to leave the scene immediately. Pu Xiang anxiously said, "Dad, take the planes and evacuate to a distance of 100 nautical miles immediately! The Dragon Military Academy is going to test a new type of missile!"

Shu'er laughed, "Damn, this girl's really going all out!"

Our planes quickly left the scene. After we reported our location, a flash of white light appeared, and a mushroom cloud gradually rose. Wen'er suddenly stood up, jumping up and down, shouting, "Great! Miniaturization has finally been achieved!"

Then, the Dragon Empire's Foreign Minister Cai Xin's melodious voice came over the plane's loudspeaker: "9:15 AM Dragon Empire time, the Dragon Soaring World Imperial Military Academy at a base on Dragon Flower Island ..." "We successfully test-fired a miniature nuclear bomb into the northern waters of our empire. All floating debris within ten nautical miles of the blast site was instantly cleared! Our nuclear weapons test is solely to stop war and to protect human peace! We also solemnly warn all imperialist powers that dare to challenge us to recognize the situation and not defy the world..."

After the dust settled, we looked at the scene from afar. It was a sea of fire, with warships burning and the sea itself ablaze. However, the area was not large, equivalent to about ten square nautical miles. If it weren't for several nuclear submarines herding the sheep together, this fleet probably wouldn't have been able to contain it.

I asked Wen'er, "How's the targeted strike going?"

Wen'er said, "We'll know once they report the detailed parameters. The main problem right now is the missile accuracy. This time it seems a bit better, but the US, especially Germany, is too far away. Their nuclear submarines' missile launch capability isn't yet sufficient, so we have to wait a

bit longer!" I said, "We can't wait any longer. Their research and testing bases are currently in a few limited locations. Once they make progress, they'll start dispersing production and testing to multiple locations, making it difficult for us to control! If necessary, we'll strike from the Grand Duchy of Moscow and Alaska!"

Shu'er frowned and said, "It's best not to involve other countries. We don't want nuclear weapons to proliferate, so let's not involve other countries. I think we should concentrate our efforts on researching submarine launch problems!"

I nodded and said to Yan'er, "Then you'll lead the effort, along with Fei'er and Wen'er. You'll have a month to concentrate your efforts on solving this problem!"

Yan'er exclaimed in surprise, "Really? This is science! " "This isn't something you can just stall for time!"

I said coldly. "There's no other way. If you can't take it down, I'll lease military bases from China and the Grand Duchy of Moscow. You must eliminate the nuclear programs of the US and Germany within two months! This is history's demand of us. I can't be like that world, with nuclear weapons scattered everywhere, leaving the world's people living under nuclear threat every day! Also, immediately send out SEAL teams to capture all those scientists researching nuclear weapons. If that doesn't work, eliminate them. I'll be like Qin Shi Huang, nipping nuclear weapons in the bud! At the same time, your Academy of Sciences must ensure top-notch secrecy and absolutely forbid anyone from leaking the technology!"

As I spoke, the planes had already landed. My three units, under Pu Xiang's command, were encircling the US 1st and 3rd Cavalry Divisions that had escaped from Honolulu. The battle had reached a fever pitch. My powerful Dragon Empire People's Army was infiltrating and dividing the two US divisions into several small pieces, carrying out the final annihilation.

Pu Xiang himself led his troops to surround Honolulu and issued an ultimatum to the American forces, ordering them to surrender!

Seeing that the situation was settled, I leaned back and said, "Keep it up, return to Longhua, and immediately begin the final push on launching missiles from the submarine!"

Chapter 27 of Part 6, Australian Business Group (The End)

After surrounding Honolulu, Pu Xiang issued an ultimatum to Cruise, ordering all American troops on the island to lay down their weapons, cease resistance, and avoid unnecessary sacrifices.

Cruise urgently telegraphed US President Calvin Coolidge, reporting the defeat in the Pacific naval battle and the fact that the Dragon Empire's army had besieged the US forces in an isolated city, with the 1st and 3rd Cavalry Divisions on the verge of annihilation. President Coolidge remained silent for a long time before finally saying helplessly, "I didn't expect Dragon Empire to be so powerful. Let them have the Pacific for now. We Americans will take back these places sooner or later. The world belongs to America, and history will prove everything! For now, let's preserve some strength for a counterattack. General, please order the surrender! I will have the State Department immediately discuss the repatriation of prisoners of war with the Dragon Empire!"

In the early morning of April 17, all US troops in the Hawaiian Islands laid down their weapons and surrendered to the Dragon Army!

Pu Xiang ordered the army to begin accepting the surrender in batches, and the Imperial People's Army began to move into the defense zones handed over by the US forces.

Everything needs a little pressure. Just over half a month later, Yan'er, Fei'er, and Wen'er stormed into my room like a whirlwind. The three of them pinned me to the bed, kissing and pinching me. I was so angry I kept yelling, "You crazy women, you're killing your husband! Did you just have a successful submarine missile test?"

Wen'er scoffed, "You still remember us? I thought you'd forget everything once you dumped us!" She started taking off her clothes one by one, startling me. I cried out, "No way! What are you doing in broad daylight? Don't set a bad example for the children!"

Yan'er and Fei'er didn't say anything, just kept taking off their clothes. A moment later, my three wives were completely exposed. I realized something was wrong and tried to run away, but it was too late. The three of them pounced on me, pulling and tugging, carrying me into the bathtub and throwing me into the water. I yelled angrily, "You crazy women! I haven't even taken my clothes off yet! What are you trying to do?"

"What are you doing? Do you know how the three of us have survived these past few days? Fourteen days! No combing our hair, no washing our faces, just eating dry rations when we were hungry, drinking water when we were thirsty, and sleeping soundly when we were tired. We haven't even had a taste of you, you big lecher, or seen the children's faces. Now Xiang'er is directing the targeted cleanup, so it's time for us to clean ourselves up and enjoy the caresses of this big lecher!" Before Fei'er could finish speaking, the three she-devils jumped into the water... The four of them had just gone wild twice when the phone in the bathroom rang. I quickly told the three crazy women to quiet down and picked up the phone.

The call was from Xiang'er. He excitedly said, "Dad, our neutron bomb test was a success! The nuclear contamination is minimal. The task you assigned us was completed in one go! The eight nuclear weapons research and production sites in Germany and thirteen in the United States that we controlled have all been completely wiped out in one fell swoop. Now there are explosions and fires everywhere, it's spectacular! Eight hundred and twenty of their nuclear researchers have been brought aboard our submarine, and ninety-eight have been dealt with. All the data has been destroyed! The nuclear proliferation problem is temporarily under control!"

I was in high spirits and said loudly, "Great! I'll immediately have your brother Pulin publicly award prizes to those who have made contributions, and especially reiterate to the world our emphasis in the Boxer Protocol: 'No research or use of any type of infectious disease.'" The regulations prohibiting the development, use, dissemination, and production of any type of missile exceeding 1000 tnt, which weaken the power of any nation through chemical and biological weapons, were merely a warning to the US and Germany. The warning stated that if they continued their actions, the US would eliminate all those in power in their current regimes.

On May 1st, Chinese Premier and Foreign Minister Zhou Enlai and the Foreign Minister of the Chinese Empire, Cai Xin, held a press conference at the Republic Building in Beijing, attended by 3,000 journalists from around the world. They strongly condemned the US and Germany's violation of the Boxer Protocol, emphasizing that such violations were a provocation against the Chinese people and the people of the Chinese Empire, and a continuation of hostility towards both nations. They asserted that the two countries' armies had the right to launch a devastating attack.

The following day, the Chinese government held a large-scale military parade in Tiananmen Square, while the Chinese Empire held one in Longhua Square. A number of new weapons from both countries made their debut. Three days later, the two countries held a grand military exercise in the Pacific Ocean, involving nearly 500,000 troops, 230 ships, and 1,300 aircraft. The scale and power of the exercise instilled fear in other countries.

This exercise secured nearly a decade of peace for the world, giving China and the Longteng Tianxia Empire ample time to prepare for victory in the future anti-fascist war!

Longteng Tianxia was officially divided into seven states: East China, West China, South China, and North China on Longhua Island, and Tenghua, Tianhua, and Xiahua. Large naval ports were built in Pearl Harbor, Guam, Longhua, and Jakarta, each garrisoning 30,000 naval personnel, 30,000 army personnel, and 10,000 air force personnel.

After this battle, Shu'er completely withdrew from the military, and Pu Xiang became the Empire's Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Defense.

To help the children manage the country macroscopically, we established a Senate. My wives, Li Hongzhang, Deng Shichang, Li Xianglin, Cao Futian, and I were all members of the Senate, regularly receiving reports from the President, Prime Minister, and ministers, and offering our opinions.

Both the Longteng Tianxia Empire and China entered a period of rapid development, with both countries experiencing rapid economic and military growth.

But the desire for peace was thwarted by persistent external forces. Entering the 1930s, the United States, Great Britain, Japan, and Germany engaged in shuttle diplomacy, culminating in war against China and the Longteng Tianxia Empire on July 7, 1937. German and Italian troops launched surprise attacks on Brest-Litov and Lviv in the Grand Duchy of Moscow; Japanese and American troops attacked China's Far East and Pearl Harbor; and British and French troops launched surprise attacks on the Brahmaputra River basin and Burma, inflicting heavy losses on all these countries. On

July 8, the Longteng Tianxia Empire, along with China, the Grand Duchy of Moscow, the Republic of Burma, the Kingdom of Thailand, the Republic of Afghanistan, the Kingdom of Iran, the Republic of Brazil, the Republic of Canada, and fifty-eight other nations, declared the establishment of the United Nations, with the aim of eliminating imperialism and eradicating fascism.

On the same day, the United States, Great Britain, Japan, Germany, Italy, and twenty-four other nations formed the Allied Powers, with the goal of eliminating the United Nations.

Thus began the World War between the United Nations and the Allied Powers.

I was elected as the first Secretary-General of the United Nations. In my inaugural address, I proudly declared to the people of the world: "We do not want war, but we are not afraid of war. This war is a bad thing, bringing endless disasters to the people of the world, but it is also a good thing. The problems that have been troubling us will be completely resolved in this war. That is, to permanently eliminate the source of the war in this war! To restore a lasting peaceful environment to the people of the world! Haven't you all been wondering why we haven't eliminated Japan, the source of the war? Haven't you been dissatisfied with letting that clown, the United States, go unpunished? Haven't you been resentful that the crimes of those old-line imperialists in plundering our developing countries have not been finally settled? This time, you will all be satisfied! We will completely wipe Japan out of this world forever, turn the United States into ten, or even dozens, small countries fighting each other, and make it forever powerless to point fingers on the world stage! Let those imperialists who invaded our country repay their blood debts tenfold..."

On that day, the UN forces launched a major counter-offensive on all battlefields, with nearly ten million UN troops appearing around the world… Liu Bocheng, a young military strategist serving in the Grand Duchy of Moscow, commanded the combined forces of the Grand Duchy of Moscow and China at Tsaritsyn. After dragging hundreds of thousands of enemy troops into the harsh winter, he suddenly mobilized two million troops for a major counter-offensive. After three years of arduous fighting, they finally surrounded the remaining 300,000 exhausted French, German, and British troops near Lille, France, and launched a final siege… Pu Xiang led the million-strong army of the Longteng Tianxia Empire to sweep across the Japanese archipelago. In just three months, he besieged the last remaining Japanese wolf army in Tokyo, then repeatedly refused the Japanese surrender requests, deliberately allowing these wolves to survive for dozens of days by eating grass roots, tree bark, and the dead, driving them mad. The delusional Emperor set himself on fire at the Yasukuni Shrine, forcing the Japanese into a two-week cannibalistic massacre. Only after confirming that no one was left alive within the encirclement, and after a thorough search and disinfection, did we advance into the last piece of Japanese soil, beginning a large-scale migration from Sichuan, China, to the Japanese archipelago, and transforming Japan into the Eighth Province of the Empire… In October 1939, Chinese Defense Minister Zhu De led his troops to sweep across the Indian subcontinent, extending the territory of Greater China to the eastern coast of the Indian Ocean… On February 1, 1940, the combined forces of China, the Chinese Empire, Canada, and Brazil simultaneously landed at San Francisco, Miami, Norfolk, and El Paso, advancing rapidly into the chaotic landscape of dozens of American states fighting amongst themselves… The world was reorganized and fragmented amidst the turmoil… (
