Restricted Lovers [Complete] - 23 (Complete)

Episode 7, Chapter 6: Countdown to the Fire.

Although the underground storage room only led to the next room, the lights were on in Feng Hua's room, so the possessed ones didn't notice my obvious movement. Their partners were also focused on the house where Feng Hua was, especially since Fei Yue was still fighting in front of it.

Therefore, when I rushed out, it took them a few seconds to react, and then they immediately grabbed their weapons and roared as they chased after me.

I ran forward with all my might.

Tonight was truly a difficult night. The pursuers behind me had ferocious faces, and they threw stones and bricks at me from time to time. Since I don't have eyes in the back of my head, I took several hits. Although it hurt, it also spurred me to accelerate forward.

During the escape, people kept coming out of the alley. Although they were only in twos and threes, they kept gathering and eventually became a formidable force. And as if it were planned, every time I was about to escape into a shop near the road, they would always dart out from nearby, preventing me from escaping to the street for shelter.

I could only brake suddenly again and again, and at the critical moment when I was surrounded, I would turn and run away.

Later, I gave up on going to crowded, well-lit areas, at least to avoid ambushes—and in my memory, whenever I saw thugs beating up enemies on the street, or even smashing cars and shops, I never saw any passersby intervene.

I ran blindly through the alleys, eventually losing all sense of direction. The aura of possessed beings was everywhere, my own scent mingling with it, but the crows overhead clung to me, causing some people I had shaken off to chase after me again.

I glared at them through gritted teeth, but there was nothing I could do. As the footsteps drew closer, I could only take a deep breath and keep going.

The number of the allied forces had increased to the point of revolt, yet not a single policeman had shown up. What were these public servants doing? What about the residents of this area? Were they all confused, or were they too afraid to call the police?

I kept wondering, but being chased, I was powerless to change the situation, only able to try my best to avoid the ever-growing crisis. Heaven rewards the persistent, and I finally found a breakthrough.

It was a dimly lit firebreak alley, with only one person standing at its entrance.

His eyes were somewhat glazed, and a syringe was inserted into his arm.

The man had a dazed smile on his face; the drugs made him sway, and the fifty-centimeter-long iron bar in his hand had obvious dents.

He looked somewhat dangerous, but if I was willing to endure two or three blows, I might have a chance to get through the firebreak he was guarding, reach the next street, and turn right. Then, running for another minute, I would reach the much busier coffee and clothing street.

Thinking of this, I became quite tempted.

This was the most relaxed spot I had seen, and it might be my only way out tonight. If I missed it, I probably wouldn't have a better chance!

Thinking of this, my will to survive also bolstered my courage. I picked up a broken chair leg from the ground, tensed my nerves, and waved it a few times in front of him in a show of defiance.

"You... ha, do you still have any drugs?" He shook his arm weakly, staggering, and didn't seem very threatening.

"I don't have any drugs," I said cautiously.

"You're lying, you must have hidden it! We're... good brothers! Share some with me! Huh?"

"Okay, but I put the medicine on the other side, you have to let me through." I coaxed.

"Oh? Hurry up, then hurry up." He nodded blankly, like a schoolboy, obediently stepping aside to make way. I

didn't expect it to be so easy.

I couldn't believe it worked so easily. Forcing a smile off my face, I held my breath and slowly slid into the fire lane.

The alley entrance was very narrow, and our chests inevitably rubbed against each other. A sour smell came from him, he grinned, and his breath smelled of smoke.

"Good brother, hurry up! I'm waiting for you."

"I know." I forced a smile and coaxed.

Just then, I suddenly felt a cold sensation in my abdomen—I looked down and saw a small knife sticking out of my kidney.

His upturned lips immediately turned down.

"My brother said... said you've hidden a lot of stuff in your stomach... You're trying to lie to me! You're not giving me the medicine, and you're lying to me!"

He raised an iron bar and started hitting me hard.

“You lied to me! Who told you to lie to me! You didn’t give me the medicine! You still lied to me! Hand over the medicine!” he roared, pounding on my wound.

The small knife—clearly his so-called “brother”—continued its attack on my injury.

My head and neck were struck several times, the crazed drug addict relentlessly striking and hitting me. I gritted my teeth and grabbed his hand wielding the iron bar, but he immediately kicked me, his other hand attacking my face repeatedly.

“The medicine is here! The medicine is here!” I screamed, and his hysterical behavior immediately subsided.

“Good brother, I knew you were a good brother.” He held out his hand, his face regaining its idiotic smile. “Where’s the medicine?”

“Here.” I endured the pain, pulled out the “Soul Possessed” knife that was trembling in my wound, and placed it in his hand.

“Nonsense!” the drug addict yelled.

“This is the medicine,” I said calmly. “I did hide the medicine, in my stomach, but it ate it all just now. You can search me if you don’t believe me.”

“Nonsense! Nonsense!” he continued to shout, then suddenly threw the knife on the ground and stomped on it.

“You ate the medicine! You ate my medicine! Bastard, hand over the medicine! Hand it over!” He kicked and cursed, ignoring the possessed person’s wailing at his feet.

I shook my head, pressed my abdomen, and left.

After the excruciating pain subsided, I found a dark corner to sit down and examine my wound. Fortunately, I have a special constitution, so there was no fatal danger, only a dark crack at the wound, forming an eerie sight.

I hastily tore a piece of cloth from my clothes to bandage it, then looked at that damned crow that always cast a dark cloud over my head. As long as it was there, the other possessed persons would arrive soon, so it was not advisable to stay here any longer.

“What are you doing here?”

As soon as I stepped out, Ryua’s voice immediately made my heart skip a beat.

"I...I...I was just passing by," another voice stammered.

I calmly retreated to my original spot, watching the street corner where Ryua released the man's sleeve.

"Mr. Sang. Senggood?" Yotsuba exclaimed in surprise.

Otoyu, standing beside her, also gasped in surprise upon hearing his name.

"Shh, keep your voice down!" Sang. Senggood, wearing sunglasses, immediately looked around warily.

Despite his wig, his height and complexion were still quite striking. Fortunately, passersby only mistook him for an ordinary foreigner, glancing at him briefly before making any further moves.

"Are you here to take pictures secretly?" Ryua stared intently at the camera in his hand.

"N-Of course not!" Sang. Senggood blushed and quickly denied it. "Don't put it so harshly. I just wanted to faithfully record the little things in Regina's daughter's life so she could have beautiful memories in the future..."

"That's taking pictures secretly."

"Wh-what do you mean by taking pictures secretly? Can't you use a more elegant word?" Sang. Singood, sweating profusely, waved his large hand, "I'm just a documentary filmmaker, it's perfectly legitimate!"

"I'll call 'Madman' then."

"Wait! No! You... how do you have my teacher's phone number?"

"It's in the hardware store's phone book."

"Damn it, that guy..."

Watching them bicker, I clutched my stomach and silently retraced my steps.

The possessed ones were already close to the firebreak alley. Although the exit was just ahead, I didn't want to bring them unnecessary trouble.

"The drugs! Hand over the drugs! Damn it, all that kindness I showed you! Where are the drugs? Give me the drugs!"

Back in the firebreak alley, the drug addict was still kicking and cursing at the possessed one, the iron bar bent crooked from the blows. The possessed one was silent, I didn't know if he was unconscious or dead.

I bypassed him, sensing the direction where the possessed one's scent was weaker, and struggled to lift my feet.

It was truly a grim situation!

If the transmitter in my body was still working, the extreme sports club should know where I was.

What I feared was that while drawing away some of the possessed ones, they encountered an attack, or that in order to lure away even more possessed ones, they took pictures of those who rushed out...

This would mean they were powerless to turn back to find me.

I was panting, my body gradually heating up—the transformation time had come.

Even in human form, I couldn't shake off my pursuers; now, back in my original form, escape was even more impossible.

I looked around; all I saw were dark walls. The telephone poles were plastered with all sorts of pornographic advertisements, the ground was littered with scraps of paper that seemed endless, and overflowing, stinking garbage cans…

I really didn't want to die in a place like this!

I walked weakly, my clothes gradually falling apart.

Perhaps from overexertion, my head was spinning. The scents of the possessed were getting closer, but I couldn't care less; I just wanted to find a place to rest.

But even a moment of peace was unbearable. I'd barely pulled down a matchbox to sit down when I was enveloped in shadow.

I closed my eyes, hoping for a quick and easy death…

“What do you want?”

The suppressed anger in the voice made me open my eyes immediately—the beautiful landlady was clutching her phone, her anger practically glowing.

"Why did Yin You call me and say you were going to die?"

"You... how did you find me?" I asked timidly, my mind racing.

How did Yin You know about tonight's events? Did Ryua tell her? Does that mean Yotsuba knew too?

So, the third call wasn't because she didn't answer, but because Yin You happened to call her?

"I was just about to ask you to explain why the person who told me you were here was someone from the extreme sports club?" she said, clenching her fist.

"I... I don't know." I shook my head desperately.

Could it be that they couldn't get here in time, but found the pretty landlady nearby, so they pointed out my location to her?

A mascot costume was suddenly thrown in my face.

"Put it on!" Under her glare, I quickly put on the clothes, her face still grim: "You came out naked like this?"

"My... my clothes fell off." I chuckled awkwardly.

The costume, along with the underwear, was still lying on the corner of the alley; hopefully, she wouldn't go in that direction.

"Shall we... go back first? It seems like the area is quite chaotic tonight."

Seeing her made me feel relieved for a moment, but it didn't mean the crisis was over.

"I have something else to ask you." She looked at me coldly, her gaze instantly chilling me to the bone.

"Wh...what is it?"

"I think I heard that Neng Yuan and Fu Xiu aren't gay?" She clenched her fist, her knuckles cracking.

Oh no...has it been exposed?

"So, they already knew you could move and talk that day, didn't they?" She smiled, but it was like a bloodthirsty demon.

"He...he's lying! He just didn't want you to look at him differently!" I retreated, a chill running through me. "

Oh, then can you explain why the Extreme Sports Club knew about you besides Yin You?" Her smile grew even brighter.

"This...this..."

"I knew you wouldn't be able to explain it, so it's okay." She bent down, picked up an advertising board that had been thrown on the ground, her smile still sweet.

"You—go to hell!"

With a "boom!", the advertising board swung ten centimeters above my head and smashed into an old wall that was at least twenty years old. Cement shards flew off the wall instantly, and the billboard shattered into several pieces, leaving only a sharp-edged wooden handle.

"Calm down, this isn't the time for this!" I ran away.

"How did you bring Yin You back last night?" she roared from behind, knocking over several more trash cans.

"How many people saw you?"

"I...I didn't! It was probably a stranger with the same name as me, right?" I pleaded, trying to clear my name.

"A stranger? A stranger went to Xianyue Island with Yin You? If you don't tell the truth today, you're going to die!" she roared, wildly swinging her wooden stick, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake.

"Listen to me, there are a bunch of Soul Possessions around here, let's go back, we can talk properly when we get back, okay?" I cried, clutching my head, hoping to bring her back to her senses.

"Soul Possessions, so what if they're Soul Possessions? I've been fooled by you too many times already!"

"Bang!" Another loud crash, this time a row of potted plants fell from the wall.

The loud noise quickly served its purpose, attracting many possessed spirits and their partners.

Seeing the beautiful landlady's "heroism," the teenagers hesitated to rush forward, instead giving her a thumbs-up and exclaiming, "Wow, this lady is awesome!"

The beautiful landlady finally realized the crowd was growing, and her strength lessened considerably, temporarily halting the chase.

"Miss, why aren't you continuing? Beat that bastard to a pulp!"

the onlookers clamored, and the beautiful landlady finally tensed up.

"...Who are you?" she finally remembered to ask.

"I already told you, they are humans with possessed spirits!" I said, feeling wronged.

"Why is there only one aura? Miss, where is your possessed spirit?" someone who noticed something amiss asked.

The beautiful landlady, at this moment, vaguely guessed their "identities" from their clothing. A faint, almost imperceptible criminal aura emanated from them.

"My possessed spirit..." she drawled, her gaze shifting with suspicion.

Her possessed spirit was me, wasn't it? Now everyone sees me as her enemy, where is she going to conjure up a second mentally challenged possessed being to cooperate in this charade?

"My possessed being..." she lamented.

Everyone was waiting for her answer. She glanced at me and saw me standing obediently at her feet, seemingly unharmed. She gritted her teeth, pointed a slender finger at me, and said, "It's this! It's this that destroyed my possessed being!" Then, she kicked me hard.

Wh...what!

Contrary to my usual self, I shouted at her, "Liar! Your possessed being attacked me first! This was merely self-defense!"

"Shut up!" she roared, raising the wooden stick again.

I dodged hastily, and the others, fearing being caught in the crossfire, quickly moved to a safe distance, creating a wide enough passage through the human wall. I slipped out through the passage, the beautiful landlady glaring at me with a look that screamed "I want you dead!"

We broke through the encirclement "without a trace."

The remaining people weren't nervous at all. Seeing the landlady's ferocity and my miserable state, they all seemed to think I couldn't escape, so they leisurely followed behind, watching the show.

It's no wonder they were so relaxed; the landlady's blows were so heavy, the surrounding objects and the broken stick were the best evidence—if I hadn't been used to being chased and beaten by the landlady, I wouldn't have noticed her slight leniency.

But even in a performance, there has to be a limit. As time dragged on, the people behind, while still not finding it strange, began to grow impatient.

"Miss, you've been hitting me for so long, your anger should have subsided by now, right? If you keep missing, you might as well let us take over."

Hearing the suggestion from behind, my heart skipped a beat, and the pretty landlady stopped swinging her wooden stick.

I immediately sped up and ran forward, the pretty landlady's pace quickening considerably.

"Where do you think you're going!" she shouted, the icy wind whipped up by her swinging stick growing even colder.

But I knew she wasn't sure herself, just like me.

If we just kept running forward like this, what would happen?

One of us would eventually run out of strength, and then either she'd kill me, or someone else would help her kill me.

I didn't want that.

If no third person could help us, then we'd have to find a way to escape to a place the possessed ones couldn't reach!

Just as the possessed ones began to suspect something was amiss and surged forward, calling to each other, the pretty landlady immediately abandoned Nanbangguo, picked up me (who was running slower), and started running.

"They're in cahoots!" the teenagers behind roared in a fit of rage.

The pretty landlady was running through the alley just like I had been. Whenever other pursuers came to meet her, she had to immediately change direction, but the crows overhead always provided perfect navigation.

"Why are there so many possessed souls?" Her breath warmed my face.

I told her again what Ariel had said to me last, and she just smiled bitterly after listening: "I would think the same way."

Sure enough…

"If I can get through tonight, will they stop coming?" she asked again.

"They seem to have misunderstood that the gatekeeper will come to pick me up," I said. "If I really make it to dawn, the rumors will fall apart, and I think they'll start to doubt the crows' words, right?"

"But it's only a little past nine now…" The pretty landlady looked at her watch with a hint of despair. "If there's a way to get back to the hotel, maybe there's still a way."

"If you can really flag down a car, I suggest driving around the city all night," I said.

“Let’s think about the present! We can’t escape these alleys.”

The pretty landlady was right. Even if they couldn’t catch us, the possessed ones didn’t want us to leave, but running like this wasn’t a solution.

The pretty landlady finally ran into a bungalow and locked the doors and windows before the possessed ones caught up.

“It’s no use, the possessed ones’ scent can’t be eliminated.”

Although they had gained temporary peace, it would all be destroyed sooner or later.

I looked around. The room was clean, and there was half-eaten food on the table, but several plastic chopsticks lay on the floor… Where had everyone who lived there gone?

I drew the curtains and immediately grabbed the phone to call the police, but after a few seconds, she dejectedly put down the receiver.

“All the phone lines in this area have been cut.”

Rihua suddenly appeared beside the sofa, her transparent body startling the pretty landlady.

I briefly explained Rihua’s identity, and she calmed down a little. But just like when Ailien appeared, she couldn’t overcome her fear when faced with something she was afraid of.

"Sorry, there were too many people outside, I couldn't be of much help." Rihua's shoulders trembled slightly, seemingly thinking of the large crowd outside.

"Where are Yuehua and Xinghua?" I asked, but suddenly felt a murderous aura behind me.

"You... seem quite familiar? Can you tell me how you met?"

The beautiful landlady smiled calmly... at least on the surface.

Rihua was a smart person and immediately sensed the turbulent undercurrent beneath her smile. I quickly spoke up, "Uh, it's a matter of fate, isn't it? Because we're kindred spirits... By the way, Rihua, what happened to Yuehua and Xinghua?"

"Yuehua is with Miss Fenghua. If anything happens, she'll immediately notify Miss Linxi and Miss Lina." Rihua frowned slightly as she said this, "Those people are already outside!"

The beautiful landlady lifted a corner of the curtain, and sure enough, the group of teenagers gradually gathered outside, some even starting to climb over the wall. She immediately jumped up, pushing the sofa to block the doors and windows, and Rihua helped move the tables, chairs, and low cabinets.

The person who jumped into the yard, after the possessed soul beside me confirmed I was inside, began kicking down the door and smashing the windows. As a massage stick, I was powerless to resist due to lack of strength, and could only watch helplessly as the beautiful landlady and Rihua finished piling up the furniture, then grabbed a broom and mop, preparing to fight back when the enemy broke in.

"Miss Kosumi..." Looking at the monstrous, swaying shadows outside the window, Rihua said with difficulty, "We ghost maids are most afraid of human yang energy. Getting close is fine, but if a human touches us, it will deplete a lot of our yin energy. At best, we'll be weak; at worst, we'll disappear. So if they rush in later, I might not be able to hold out for long..."

"It's alright. Even if you're human, the two of us alone might not be able to drive away those despicable creatures... If it's not possible, you must leave first!" the beautiful landlady said, gripping the mop.

Her promise filled Rihua with gratitude.

"I will do everything in my power to protect you both," Rihua said firmly.

Outside, the possessed individuals were making a ruckus, as if cheering on the teenagers, emboldening the humans to act with even greater lawlessness.

The door shook violently, and almost simultaneously, several panes of glass shattered. Hands reached inside, reaching for the window locks, attempting to unlock them from the inside.

Seeing this, the pretty landlady and Rihua immediately struck the wrists, causing them to recoil in pain. I grabbed a bucket of salad oil from the kitchen and poured it over the hands. When they discovered their hands were greasy, they were terrified.

"Set the house on fire! Set the house on fire!"

Seeing they couldn't break in, the teenagers went berserk, several shouting, and more and more joined in.

Just then, a lot of noise came from the roof.

The pretty landlady and I looked up and saw crows and sparrows tearing at the roof tiles.

"Oh no, we can't defend against them from up there!" the pretty landlady exclaimed nervously.

The birds quickly made a hole in the roof; if they could get a long ladder, the people outside could easily climb in.

"It won't be that easy." I rummaged through the living room and quickly found a toolbox in a drawer. I quickly laid out the nails and thumbtacks inside, along with a few kitchen knives, below the hole.

Seeing these things, even if I didn't die from the fall, I'd have to think twice, right?

Seeing this, the pretty landlady turned back to focus on dealing with the still unruly "oddballs" alongside Rihua. Even if crows and sparrows flew in, they wouldn't kill anyone immediately.

But the madmen outside weren't so easily deterred. Amidst the shouts, someone actually gathered several buckets of oil and poured it on the doors, windows, and grass.

"Hand over the possessed soul who can transform, or we'll burn everyone inside!" Several men pretended to light lighters, the flickering flames threateningly visible through the windows.

"You have one minute to consider, and we mean it!"

I silently watched the pretty landlady—despite the threat to her life, she remained unmoved.

That was enough.

"Let me out!" I said.

The Allied Forces' actions had far exceeded legal norms; the simultaneous actions of so many people only clouded individual morality. Like smoking and taking drugs, the first time is often not the person's own choice, but rather a desire for approval, to avoid being looked down upon by their companions.

Such a situation would only lead to disaster. Like now, they didn't care who owned the house, didn't care that the beautiful landlady was also a person; their minds were completely consumed by madness.

Everyone knows how heinous murder and arson are, but with so many people, they were emboldened and didn't care at all.

"Don't be so hasty, Xiao Mo. If Xinghua can get back in time, maybe there's still hope!" Rihua immediately stopped him.

"It's alright, we still have one minute," the beautiful landlady said.

Hearing this, I sat down, my heart still heavy.

"Fifty-two, fifty-one, fifty... forty-seven, forty-six..."

Outside, the young man counted down, his voice growing louder and more excited.

"Thirty-four, thirty-three, thirty-two..."

The beautiful landlady broke out in a cold sweat. As the seconds dwindled, those hands stopped reaching in; everyone was waiting for the door to open, or for the magnificent scene of the house burning down.

"Seventeen, sixteen, fifteen, fourteen..."

Everyone roared fervently, as if counting down the last seconds of the New Year, their voices heart-wrenching.

"Let me out!" I yelled, using the sofa's height to jump onto the doorknob.

Seeing me frantically twisting the doorknob, the pretty landlady grabbed me, forcefully pulling me away and throwing me to Rihua.

"Grab him, don't let go!"

"Let me out!" I shouted, "Are you crazy! Haven't you always hated me? Do you want to be burned to death in there for me?"

"I didn't say you couldn't leave," she said coldly. "The time isn't up yet, you don't need to rush out to your death."

"It'll be too late once the house burns down! Rihua, let me go!"

"I'm sorry, my current duty is to protect you," Rihua said apologetically, shaking her head.

"Do you think the dead are more important than the living? Why won't you listen to me!" I roared.

"Because I'm the landlady," the pretty landlady said.

"Because… Miss Xiaocheng seems to have a higher status than you…" Rihua chimed in.

"…" I was speechless.

"Eleven, ten, nine, eight, seven…"

The countdown outside continued, the group completely hysterical. The pretty landlady swallowed hard, while Rihua faithfully carried out her orders, forbidding me from making any disobedient move to rush out until she gave her permission.

Just as the countdown was about to finish, a sudden change occurred—

a young man, completely absorbed in his own world, while loudly counting to "seven," raised his hands and bumped into the neighbor. The neighbor slipped and fell forward, his thumb releasing the lighter's trigger in time, but the lingering sparks ignited the lighter fluid, instantly engulfing him in flames. The man screamed

in agony, and those nearby immediately dragged him out. He rolled on the ground in agony, trying to extinguish the remaining flames on his body.

Several people took off their coats and covered him, then playfully kicked and stomped on him; others looked up at the leaping flames, continuing to count down, the atmosphere reaching its peak.

“...6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0—”

The final “0” was followed by countless screams that echoed through the air.

Beyond the wall of fire, we could see Fu Xiu at the doorway, mercilessly disciplining the group of wicked spirit-possessed individuals and their accomplices.

“Great, someone’s coming!” I exclaimed happily, but the indoor temperature continued to rise, and thick smoke poured in through the holes in the windows.

Although some of the smoke escaped through the holes in the roof, the beautiful landlady was still coughing from the smoke.

“Miss Xiao Cheng!” Ri Hua hurriedly wrung out a wet towel from the bathroom and told her to cover her mouth and nose.

“This won’t do, we have to get out of here quickly!” I climbed back onto the sofa and turned the scorching doorknob to let in some air. The hot air blew in gusts, making it even more unbearable.

Although the door was wide open, no one rushed in. It wasn’t just because they were busy dealing with Fu Xiu; the towering wall of fire at the doorway was also daunting—but if we didn’t want to burn or suffocate, we had no choice but to rush out!

Rihua brought a bucket of water and poured it over the pretty landlady, then draped a wet sheet over her. Before rushing outside, I checked the situation again.

Although Fu Xiu was agile, she couldn't immediately break free from the combined attack of the group.

Just then, a human and a wolf suddenly joined the battle, and Fu Xiu gradually gained the upper hand.

Comrades!

I was overjoyed.

Rihua also noticed the change in the situation outside and immediately put me in the pretty landlady's arms.

"Quick, Miss Xiaocheng, rush out in one go, don't stop, or you'll get burned!" she said.

"Then, what about you?" the pretty landlady coughed.

"Don't worry, I'll follow closely behind. I'm a ghost, I'm not afraid of getting burned." She stood up behind the pretty landlady and said, "When I count to one, please run outside as fast as you can, okay?"

"I understand." The pretty landlady stood in front of the scorching wall of fire, waiting for Rihua's instructions.

"Three...two...one, run!"

As soon as Rihua finished counting, the beautiful landlady took a deep breath, unhesitatingly shielded her face with her hands, and leaped across the red line in one breath.

Wrapped in the sheet, I felt the temperature rise instantly, followed by her cry of pain as she fell to the ground.

Chapter Seven of Episode Seven: Shattered

"Are you alright?"

I peeked out from her embrace and saw her rubbing her left elbow. It seemed she wasn't burned, only a few strands of her hair were singed.

"Miss Xiaocheng, Xiaomo! Are you alright?" Xinghua ran over from behind a garden tree.

"We're fine." The beautiful landlady and I said at the same time.

I looked at Fuxiu and Zhengxu; they had already taken down nearly half of the people, their momentum unstoppable.

"Xinghua, did you bring Fuxiu here?" Otherwise, he shouldn't have any reason to be here.

"No, the reinforcements I brought were them." She pointed to Zhengxu unexpectedly, "Because everyone looks bad, only they are helping to fight the bad guys, so I desperately begged them to come and help."

"They agreed so easily?" I never knew they were such kind people.

"Yeah, maybe it's because they saw my sincerity?" Xinghua nodded, then asked, "By the way, where's Rihua?

Did she go to Yuehua's side?"

"Right behind us... wait, where is she?" The pretty landlady looked at the empty space behind her, puzzled. "Didn't she follow us out?"

"Rihua is still inside?" Xinghua's voice became anxious. "What do we do? We can't get through the flames!"

"Can't get through the flames?!" The pretty landlady and I were both stunned.

"Human fire is yang fire, just like human yang energy. Ghosts can't touch it!" She was so anxious she was almost in tears. "If we don't put out the fire quickly, Rihua will burn to death inside!"

"Then, there's a hole in the roof. Can she come out through there?" I asked.

"I don't know. We can only walk through walls, not fly. If Rihua can't climb up..."

"Hurry up!" The pretty landlady shoved me, and I immediately reacted.

Now it's impossible to predict whether Rihua can climb out. If we guess wrong, we'll have needlessly killed a ghost!

The fire, caused by the oil, couldn't be extinguished with tap water. I immediately started digging sand to cover the flames, cutting off the air supply. The pretty landlady and Xinghua were also digging diligently. The arsonist teenagers, seeing that Fuxiu and Zhengxu were not to be trifled with, scattered almost entirely after many fell. But some, unwilling to give up, continued their desperate struggle, hurling insults.

Sometimes, people just cling to pride and refuse to back down, pushing them further and further until they're driven to the brink, willing to risk everything.

A gun was drawn!

"Die!" The gun was aimed at Fuxiu, but the aim was off; the bullet struck the boy in front of Fuxiu in the back.

The boy screamed and fell to the ground, crawling helplessly in pain, trying to grab Fuxiu's trouser leg.

"Bang!" The second shot was much more accurate, but Fuxiu dodged, and the bullet embedded itself in the wall.

Anger and humiliation contorted the gunman's face. With only thirteen bullets left, the Beretta fired wildly, exposing Fu Xiu, Zheng Xu, and the three of us busy putting out the fire.

"Danger!"

"Watch out!"

The events unfolded almost instantly—Fu Xiu kicked the gunman in the chin, Zheng Xu immediately protected his vitals, and the beautiful landlady dove to the ground at the last second. Several bullets pierced Xing Hua's body, but fortunately, she was a ghost, and the bullets had no effect on her.

"Xiao Mo!"

"I'm fine, but—" I walked towards the wolf.

It was in bad shape, shot in the throat and abdomen—the bullets it had taken for Zheng Xu.

"Big Brother!" Zheng Xu cried out in grief and anger.

Although the gunman had been kicked unconscious by Fu Xiu, he couldn't hide the hatred in his eyes.

Blood gradually spread, like a breathtaking red flower. The wolf lay on the ground, its limbs twitching slightly.

"Hey, are you alright?" I asked.

“It’s alright… I won’t die for another few minutes,” it said, its voice hoarse. “At least I won’t have to endure the pain of suffocation.”

“That’s true, that’s one of the advantages of being a Soul Possessed Person.” I nodded.

“And what about you?” it countered.

“Like you can see.” I shrugged, the three bullet holes in my body looking pretty cool. “I’m not like you! Three extra holes are nothing to me.”

“Then I’ve lost miserably.” It laughed bitterly.

“You’re so stupid, if you hadn’t come, you wouldn’t have died…” I sighed.

Hearing me say that, Zhengxu was extremely excited, but the wolf only twitched the corner of its mouth.

“You’re right, but since I said I was coming to kill you, even as a ghost, I have to keep my word.”

“…Thank you.”

“Don’t thank me, I didn’t come here specifically to save you.” Its voice weakened: “It’s just a pity I can’t fight you again.”

“I won’t do it.” I laughed: “Then I’ll definitely lose miserably.”

“Of course…if you weren’t so despicable…”

“Big brother, stop talking!” Its dry voice made Zhengxu’s eyes well up with tears.

“It’s okay, I’m going to die anyway, I don’t want it to be so quiet.” The wolf said, then looked at me with some mockery, “Looks like not all side dishes are delicious?”

“It’s alright, I just happened to pick the kind I don’t like.” I grinned, feeling the cracks spreading to my neck.

“You were stupid too, if you had found a place to hide instead of squatting there putting out the fire, maybe you wouldn’t have lost this battle.”

“Perhaps it was the same feeling as you sacrificing yourself to save your brother?” I said.

Three bullet holes, a stab wound to the abdomen, and the cracks in the battery box and back inflicted by the pretty landlady earlier—the new and old wounds finally exceeded the limits, causing my body to begin to crumble.

"That's right, this is our war. We can't interfere with other people's history." It closed its eyes, only its belly still heaving with difficulty.

"Is it painful?" I asked.

"Just waiting for my soul to leave my body," it replied in a whisper.

"Hey, I want to ask you one last thing," I said, a piece of my lip falling off.

Excellent, people say a big mouth eats from all directions; now I'm even more fortunate.

"...Speak," it almost groaned.

"After becoming a wandering spirit, do you have any plans?"

"Probably...a fight with you..." "Let

's agree not to hit each other in the face first?"

"Deal."

"Okay, a gentleman's word!"

I reached out and grasped its forelegs. Its body finally succumbed to this final torment, shattering into several pieces of varying sizes.

"A four-horse chariot...hardly...to catch..." it laughed. As it finished speaking the last word, it finally breathed its last.

I didn't close my eyes. Before leaving this world... no, before leaving as a possessed soul, I wanted to see this world properly. However, before my consciousness faded, what I saw was my beautiful landlady's tear-streaked face.

I never thought she would cry for me. Because she always chased after me, her face always showing nothing but anger, anger, and more anger.

And now, she was still angry, only with two clear tears streaming down her face.

She didn't wail, but tried to piece my shattered body back together, silently letting her tears flow, while Xinghua beside her kept wiping away her seemingly endless tears.

The fire finally went out, and Rihua safely walked out of the house, but into the sorrow of the courtyard.

Relying on the transmitter inside my stomach, the members of the Extreme Sports Club came here one by one after clearing the possessed soul. Looking at my broken body on the ground, they just shook their heads and sighed.

Ash, Fal, and C were also alive, though their bodies were charred.

Someone was crouching beside me, floating in the air with me, looking at the world below. He pursed his lips, his eyes unblinking as he stared at Zhengxu, who was weeping bitterly over the corpse.

He was Zhengxu's older brother, Wolf—even though he didn't say it, I knew it.

After reverting to his spirit form, his wounds healed automatically, and his body felt light, as if he had lost all gravity.

"I'm not his relative," he said, his voice heavy, as if filled with guilt.

"Before deciding to partner with him, I observed him for a week. Seeing that he always went to the same few locations, I simply used him, pretending it was real.

"Actually, he knew all along that I wasn't the 'person' he was waiting for. My lies had too many flaws, but he still accepted me as a substitute and was willing to fight."

The longing for the dead is often blind; even knowing it's impossible, one still tries to believe.

"He must have really liked his older brother." I looked at Zhengxu's tears below; it was his emotional outpouring.

Men don't easily shed tears, unless they're deeply hurt.

"You liked Zhengxu too, didn't you?" I said to the spirit beside me.

Actually, with his abilities, he could thrive without a human partner.

"Initially, it was just for external protection and a sufficient food source." He shook his head.

Whether it was self-interest or pity, even he seemed unable to distinguish.

"The past is the past, the present is the present, and the current feeling is the most important," I said.

Even if the initial intention wasn't noble, time would eventually transform the chaotic and unclear thoughts into something closer to the truth.

He smiled, noncommittal.

"You're Zhengxu's older brother," I said.

"No, I'm just an insignificant stranger." He looked at me too. "If we look at it the same way, do you love that girl?"

I looked at the three bullet holes that had disappeared from my body and said easily, "Like you said, possessed beings shouldn't interfere with human history… I was indeed standing in front of her, but I didn't expect to take so many bullets!"

We looked at each other for a few moments, then he laughed: "We're both idiots, at least I'm a little smarter."

"An idiot with self-awareness?" I laughed too. "Oh well! Let's just consider it the price we have to pay for this second life; that way, I'm more willing to accept it." "

Having experienced and tasted all the joys and sorrows, if I were now faced with three paths—'soul possession,' 'reincarnation,' and 'heaven'—to be honest, even using the process of elimination would be a headache.

'A short but wonderful life...' he slowly pondered.

If the length of life is inversely proportional to its wonder, then it is indeed worth considering. However, for those people in the extreme sports club, perhaps they don't even need to think about it.

I can't imagine their lives ten years from now, after they've settled down, started families, and had children...

a (Liwei) might be taking his son around challenging other gyms all day.

b (Xuanhe) might be carrying his baby to overcome altitude sickness while the child is still an infant."

C (Olin) has a very high chance of rescuing his future "wife" on a deserted island, and the two will go out to sea to play "survival games" whenever they have free time.

Su Fei is probably stuck on the top floor of the office building every day, too lazy to find a partner.

Far's son will probably become his father's experimental subject from time to time.

Soren will definitely find a woman with masochistic tendencies, and his son will have great "resilience" in the future.

Shi Jing will have a happy family and be the most normal person among them.

Pluto will probably never escape Soren's control for the rest of his life. He might even have to marry the woman chosen by Sauron.

Cyrus is suited to be a scholar, but his fate is similar to Pluto's, a fate worthy of sympathy.

Tilo will be a king, standing at the pinnacle of power, clinging to Cyrus as his advisor.

Ash will likely choose to remain a hidden "wise man" throughout his life.

And Rose Girl will ultimately be dragged into the wedding hall by the paparazzi (Ryan)! In this era where same-sex marriage is legally recognized, unless "she" can kill her husband before marriage, even if she resorts to underhanded tactics, the paparazzi will still make the marriage possible.

...No, perhaps it'll be a gamble, as is customary!

As for President Raphael, he's better suited to be protected under the wing of Dilo or the paparazzi. With his genius mind, he might be able to become a researcher, spending his life in a male-only lab, far from the outside world's female contaminants, living a happy and carefree life.

As for the girls of Dormitory Number One, their future is incredibly clear and bright.

Sama will be a happy heiress; if she's ambitious, she could be a fashion designer, forever following fairytale themes; or she could become a pastry chef, publishing countless books.

Yotsuba will likely become a new generation of stage actress, occasionally relying on her super... Lucky draws swept away the profits of those big corporations.

Feng Hua is a powerful businesswoman, rivaling Lin Xi and Lina. If she wanted to save money for the company, perhaps she could discuss holding a lottery with Si Ye.

Fei Yue could be an athlete, holding multiple world records at the Olympics.

Yin You will definitely be a world-renowned pianist in the future.

Liu Ya has the potential to be a researcher, or she could use her family's influence to buy a national library. The

beautiful landlady is perfect for being a stock analyst. No, if she really wanted to, perhaps she could use stocks to earn enough for her future living expenses...

"You're crying," said Brother Wolf.

I then realized that tears had been falling onto the back of my hand without my noticing.

"I'm useless." So I can only fantasize about everyone's future lives here, unable to participate.

"You are the happiest of all the Soul Possessions." He looked at me, offering silent comfort.

What kind of heart-wrenching pain is the regret of parting? It's like being stabbed; you know it will hurt, but unless you actually experience it, you'll never know the extent of the pain.

He had just tasted that pain, so he understood. But he wasn't me; he didn't know how much I was suffering.

"...But also the most unfortunate." So he just sighed.

"I want to see them again." I sniffed.

"That's impossible; we're already dead. The dead and the living, even if they coexist, cannot disturb each other. They can't see you, and you can't interfere with them; that's not 'life,' it's 'hell.'"

He patted my shoulder and stood up.

"We should go too." I

turned around, and behind me stretched a white cloud as hard as concrete. Deep within the clouds was an area enclosed by a wall, containing many dilapidated houses and a towering office building.

The brightness here, contrasting with the darkness below, created two completely different worlds, and all the summoned souls faced the gates of heaven.

"Let's go, we're too late."

He pulled me to my feet, and my gaze reluctantly shifted from the crack in the clouds.

"Have you regained your memories?" I asked.

"I'm not his older brother." He looked at Zhengxu one last time.

"You are his older brother."

He was silent for a long time before finally exhaling, "Do you want him to lose his loved ones twice in a row?"

"You are his older brother." I said again.

He neither admitted nor denied it.

“I still don’t know your name,” he said.

“Little Mo,” I grinned.

“You little rascal!” He reached out and hooked his arm around my neck, quite firmly.

Like old brothers, we supported each other step by step as we walked towards the Gates of Heaven.

“I’m asking for your real name.”

“I forgot.”

“Nonsense!”

“I don’t know your name either?”

“Well… I forgot too.” He mimicked my nonsense.

“That’s perfect. Two souls returning to Heaven with amnesia, the gatekeeper will go crazy.”

“Just the soul roll call alone is enough to drive him mad.”

“That’s even better, making him even crazier.”

“Haha…”

We both laughed loudly.

In front of the Gates of Heaven, besides the gatekeeper, there were five or six angels carrying laptops, frantically checking the names on the register.

Wolf Brother and I sat under a tree, too lazy to wait in the long line. Perhaps because we were too leisurely, one of the angels, carrying a laptop, tried to come over to question us, but was stopped by the gatekeeper.

"That's a special case, I'll ask again later."

So, Brother Wolf and I had some extra time.

Brother Wolf happily took a nap under the tree, while I, utterly bored, watched the somewhat unfamiliar surroundings to pass the time.

Next to the original Heavenly residential area, a much larger residential area had indeed been planned. No longer were there dilapidated bungalows, but countless high-rise buildings, seemingly apartment buildings, though only a few were completed.

At least this meant the gatekeeper wasn't lying; Heaven was building a new residential area, and—the progress was slow.

But this still couldn't explain his mistake of not transferring my soul.

I shifted my gaze to the long queues. They were composed of all sorts of souls, some who had wanted me dead, others not. But I couldn't distinguish them; I only sensed their auras and the appearance of their possessed entities. Perhaps they recognized me, but I didn't know who was who.

But that was fine; I didn't want to investigate anyway.

...But if I found out who "Crow" was, his fate wouldn't be any better!

Finally, thanks to the angels' high efficiency, the "Soul Dragon" was digested, but more than ten hours had passed.

The sky was still bright, the light neither too weak nor too dim. Does Heaven not have day and night? If so, it must be very difficult to sleep at night.

The souls were slowly led into the new residential area. The gatekeeper uncle walked towards us, and I immediately shook Wolf Brother awake.

"Hmm...it's finally our turn?" He rubbed his eyes and yawned.

"I really don't understand what you 'wandering souls' are thinking!"

The gatekeeper uncle walked up to me, plopped down, opened his laptop and typed furiously, muttering to himself, "When the lottery was drawn, the souls that didn't win would naturally be transferred...

it's only been a month, and you're already fighting with such impatience!" "

But when you came down to earth to inform us, you didn't say when the souls would be transferred!" I said.

“Indeed, it was my oversight. I didn’t specifically instruct the messenger to tell you, but do you really think that Heaven will abandon the remaining souls?”

“Who knows…” I muttered softly.

“Who knows?” Brother Wolf said nonchalantly, “Maybe you’re planning to make us kill each other. Who came up with the policy of descending to the mortal realm to possess souls? Can a gatekeeper fathom the thoughts of ‘gods’?”

“I admit that, but you can’t attribute your own assumptions to ‘gods’ because of that. That’s unfair.” The gatekeeper uncle defended him.

“Whatever.” Brother Wolf crossed his arms, leaned against the tree trunk, and looked like he was about to fall asleep again.

“Um, uncle, wasn’t I already dead? Why am I back in Heaven?” I asked.

“Do you remember the number Heaven marked on you? If you become a wandering soul, the mark will slowly disappear within ten days.”

The gatekeeper uncle’s fingers continued to move across the keyboard. “However, as long as the number is still there, we can find you no matter how far away you are in the Celestial Realm. You were lucky this time, you caught the summons just in time, otherwise you would definitely be doomed!”

“Then… there’s a girl named Ariel, did she…”

“Wait, let me finish dealing with your matter first, then I’ll check for you.” The gatekeeper stopped me.

I immediately shut my mouth and waited quietly for him to finish.

Five minutes later, the gatekeeper shook his head and only said “I’m sorry.”

“Is that so…”

She didn’t make it. I felt a pang of sadness, but her words at that time gave me some comfort.

“Then that’s all for now.” The gatekeeper closed his laptop.

“You should also go and register your residence later! Originally, each soul had its own apartment, but you caused too much trouble this time, and to prevent a repeat of the incident, we can’t let you descend to the mortal realm again. Until the new residential area is fully completed, four or five souls will have to share one.”

“But… I want to go down.” I raised my hand tremblingly.

The gatekeeper roared angrily, "No way! Even if there were an exception, everyone else would be, but not you!"

I shrank back in fear, but the gatekeeper's rebuke was relentless.

"You're the mastermind behind this war of possessed souls, and you still dare to make demands of me? Do you know how much extra effort I had to put in to conceal the matter of the elixir?"

"I'm sorry... but it wasn't me who was spreading the word..." I stammered like a submissive wife.

"But it's a fact that you took the elixir," Wolf Brother said, his eyes wide. "If there hadn't been a starting point, how could there have been a fuse?"

"No matter who you met in the mortal realm, your fate has run its course, and that fate was never meant to happen. If you met someone important because of it, that's already the greatest miracle; you shouldn't ask for more," the gatekeeper said.

Wolf Brother listened quietly, without objecting.

Although I understood, I still couldn't let it go.

My shoulders slumped.

Looking back, Brother Wolf seemed to see through my thoughts, shook his head, and said, "Don't be so persistent." Was

everything... truly impossible now?

A few days later, I wrote a letter to my beautiful landlady—my final note.

"Number 64, Yuan'en Street... Number 64, Yuan'en Street..."

Following the address in the letter, she arrived there—the shop where she had bought me the costume.

"Here! Here!" I waved discreetly from behind a trash can in the alley next door.

She was about to enter the shop when she was startled and hurried over.

"Little Mo?"

"It's me." I pulled down the hood of my cloak.

"You...you're alright?" She looked me up and down, seemingly doubting the truth.

"I'm fine, I just went back to the Heavenly Realm," I said. My mind involuntarily drifted back to the last few words I spoke to the gatekeeper that day—

"You're saying that possessed souls can't descend to the mortal realm anymore? What about the wandering souls left behind? Won't they still leak the secrets of heaven?" After being dissuaded by the uncle and wolf brother, I was almost resigned, but I still stubbornly asked.

"The reason possessed souls who have become wandering souls can be seen is because their numbers have celestial power on them. All the other marked wandering souls have been recalled to heaven, and even if the rest wanted to speak, humans wouldn't hear them."

"But what about those humans who partnered with possessed souls? They all remember!"

"Where's the evidence?" the gatekeeper uncle said. "Even if too many people see it, without evidence, society won't believe it."

"Luckily, the extreme sports club took a lot of photos that day," I said with a smile. "So I threatened the gatekeeper uncle with the photos, and he secretly let me down!"

"Then, how long can you stay down this time?" the pretty landlady asked.

"The gatekeeper uncle said I can call him when I want to go back."

The condition was that all the extreme sports club's "paranormal photos" had to be retrieved.

Actually, with the gatekeeper's abilities, he could have easily handled it himself; there was no need for him to exchange conditions with me. Luckily, on the day he announced his descent to the mortal realm, I took a picture of him. He didn't know the camera belonged to Sama, and unable to retrieve his "solo photo," he had no choice but to agree to my unreasonable request—that was the real leverage.

"Then...then why are you still...like this?" The pretty landlady glared at me, still resembling an electric massager.

"Before I descended to the mortal realm...uh, the gatekeeper forced me to drink a bottle of medicine," I said, scratching my head.

Was this his revenge?

"But this time it's much better. Normally I can maintain my human form, but every twenty-three hours, I'm forced to transform into a massager for one hour..."

As I said this, I suddenly sneezed, and then, "Bang!"—I instantly transformed back into a human. It

was so fast I couldn't react.

"Ah!" she screamed, covering her eyes, and I immediately covered my groin.

"This...this was an accident. I didn't know the transformation time would be so short this time..." I was sweating profusely.

This time, I was truly sweating.

This new body was no different from an ordinary person's, with blood and tears, body temperature and a heartbeat.

"You..." She screamed halfway, then suddenly lowered her hand as if she had thought of something, pointing at my face and saying, "You are..."

Ah, right, this was the first time the pretty landlady had seen me transformed into a "human"—she finally recognized me as the person she bumped into at the carnival that day, and the one who went to church to harass her!

"You're the pervert who was naked in my room that day!" she shouted angrily, pointing at me.

Huh? Pervert?

I was stunned. Why was her answer different from what I expected? If she had seen my face during that transformation, she couldn't have failed to recognize me at the carnival; since she didn't know what I looked like, how was she sure that I was the same person as that pervert?

Was there any distinguishing feature...?

"Ah!" Now it was my turn to shout, my face flushed red: "Did you see my... sensitive spot that day...?"

Didn't I just get seen by her a second time just now?

"Shut up!" Her cheeks flushed red, her eyes blazing with fury, and she slammed her purse against the back of my head. "You pervert! Pervert!"

"Ouch...ouch!"

I clutched the back of my head, chased by her as we ran out of the alley. Amidst the screams of passersby, I had to rush into a toy store.

"Quick! Give me an outfit! Even just the lower half will do!"

"Ah—pervert!" "

Pervert!"

Instantly, the shop assistants and customers all screamed.

At the end of episode seven,

things had turned out this way, and I could no longer stay at the Saife Children's Dormitory. I took two jobs, rented a place near the school, and started supporting myself.

My beautiful landlady and roommate would visit me from time to time. Of course, under their combined interrogation, I also gave a detailed account of everything that had happened over the past four months.

For this, I was punched several times by Sama and bitten hard on the shoulder. I

couldn't renege on my debt to Feng Hua, so I had to work even harder.

After Hiizuki learned my true identity, I politely declined the debt transfer—she'd already done enough for me.

Ryua was very interested in my transformation ability and offered a high-priced "guinea pig" deal…please spare me! Yotsuba

and Otoyu were very understanding of my predicament; as for the pretty landlady…sigh, I estimate it'll take her at least a month to fully recover.

Besides the pretty landlady and her friends, the members of the Extreme Sports Club often come over, always drinking and playing cards until dawn, practically bursting my small apartment with their dozen or so people. And I always feel incredibly tired the next day.

Of course, occasionally I'll visit the dorm as a guest to see the pretty landlady and her friends. With the seven girls' joint guarantee, I'm probably the first male guest in history to "venture into forbidden territory" without having to confiscate my ID!

In short, my life is quite satisfying now, the only thing that gives me a headache is—I'm still stuck with the title of "Extreme Sports Club mascot."

For some reason, I still have to attend every important meeting in the club, so often I'm halfway through my part-time job when I'm inexplicably picked up by a long black car... Although the paparazzi pays me a fairly high hourly rate, and the manager of the part-time job doesn't dare to fire me easily, I still find it very bothersome.

Moreover, under President Raphael's orders, I have to accompany the club members to every "club exam."

If I don't do this, I often find that before I leave work, I've already "collected" my day's wages—of course, that's the president's doing, a genius at makeup...

Oh, and there's something I forgot to mention.

I recently received a letter from Masao's house; I heard that Masao has started raising a dog. Apparently, one day when he passed a pet store, he found a puppy that looked a lot like his "Big Brother Wolf."

He named the puppy after his deceased brother (I wonder what his brother would think if he knew?), and he seems to love it quite a bit...

Hmm, hopefully this dog can soothe his past pain.

My beautiful landlady and I read the letter together, and she smiled afterward.

The letter was signed "A Heavenly Escapee Who Didn't Drink the Soup of Oblivion," and the signature was a dog's paw giving the middle finger.

Actually, Brother Wolf also misses the mortal realm, but unlike me, he hasn't collected many "handles," so he has to achieve his goals in his own way. It seems that in a few months, once Brother Wolf is strong enough, I'll have to visit Zhengxu.

That fight still owed me has to be fought, otherwise it'll accrue interest—but I can't let the paparazzi know about this, or they'll definitely be betting on it.

As for the referee…

"Sama should be chosen!" I said, immediately getting a blow to the back of my head.

"You mean I'd be biased?" my beautiful landlady said angrily, grabbing a cushion on the sofa.

"You misunderstand, I need a referee who's biased…" and won't be biased to the wrong side…

"Idiot! Idiot!"

My head was immediately hit repeatedly, forcing me to beg for mercy under her violence. At this moment, a question flashed through my mind amidst the adversity.

"Oh, right!" I raised my hand to defend, interrupting her attack. "I still don't know your name."

"Does that matter?" she scoffed.

"Fine, fine! Go ahead! Go ahead!" I said, "And I'll give you another gift."

"That's more like it." She finally smiled with satisfaction.

"Well... I'm all ears."

"Chengruo."

Cheng...ruo...it really is a very beautiful name, but the person...

I could only shake my head in my heart.

"Here, the gift?" she asked, holding out her hand.

"Here." I pointed to myself and said very seriously, "I'll 'offer myself' in return! Anyway, you've already seen everything...I think my size will definitely satisfy you..."

"Bang!" I saw stars.

"Pervert!" she roared, followed by a storm of blows, "Pervert! Pervert! Pervert!"

she shouted as she hit and cursed.

"Just kidding..." "

Go to hell!"

"Bang!"

"...Ah, that's my cup!"

"Clang!"

"...My plate!"

"Smash!"

"...The chair!" I screamed, but when I saw her next target—

"No, no! That's the cabinet, the floor won't hold!"

"Boom!"

...

(The End)
