Ancient Martial Saint Emperor in Another World [Complete] - 27

Chapter 296 Fighting for Life

The knights of the First Knights Order of the Mehes Empire wore silver armor and rode white warhorses. These 50,000 elite knights charged like a silver torrent of iron, crashing into the black torrent of the Mad Dragon Knights.

However, behind this silver torrent, another jet-black torrent, like a venomous snake, charged with lightning speed, forming a pincer attack with the Mad Dragon Knights!

"Glory is my life!"

"Wind! Wind! Great wind!"

The two contrasting torrents finally collided violently, creating crimson spray!

"Kill! For the honor of the Mehes Empire!" Grand Marshal Cherno slashed his sword at Wang Tianxiong, the leader of the Mad Dragon Knights!

"Kill! For the honor of the Berserker Clan!" Wang Tianxiong's right hand, wielding a spiked club, left a trail of death in the air as it met Grand Marshal Cherno's longsword.

With a clang, club and sword clashed, sparks flying. Both Grand Marshal Cherno and Wang Tianxiong felt a jolt.

However, thanks to his mount, the Ironclad Silverback Terrain Dragon, Wang Tianxiong experienced a much smaller impact than Grand Marshal Cherno. Meanwhile, the Ironclad Silverback Terrain Dragon beneath Wang Tianxiong felt a sharp pain from the impact, roaring angrily at the sky. Its blood-red eyes fixed on Grand Marshal Cherno, who had caused it pain, before lunging forward.

Since being subdued by Qin Feng, the Ironclad Silverback Terrain Dragon had always been pampered by the Berserker Clan and had never suffered such harm. Now, it had truly provoked their wrath, and this lunge was completely unexpected by both Grand Marshal Cherno and Wang Tianxiong.

Originally, the two should have been pushed backward by inertia upon colliding, but this armored silver-backed terrain dragon instead lunged forward. Grand Marshal Cherno, left with no other choice, had to leap from his horse. At the same time, his greatsword was not idle; he channeled all his energy and thrust it towards the dragon's eyes!

"How dare you!" Wang Tianxiong roared, his own hand moving swiftly. His massive, jet-black club, leaving afterimages, blocked the path of Grand Marshal Cherno's incoming sword. "Clang!"

A second loud crash. Amidst the mournful neigh of his horse, Grand Marshal Cherno used the force from the greatsword to flip backward, pulling himself out of Wang Tianxiong's attack range.

However, his snow-white warhorse lay dead in a pool of blood, the massive body of the armored silver-backed terrain dragon crushing it beneath it. Its throat was torn open, revealing pink tracheas, from which bright red blood gushed.

"Roar~~~" The armored silver-backed terrain dragon, seemingly unsatisfied after killing Grand Marshal Cherno's horse, stared intently at the fallen Grand Marshal Cherno, several feet away, its blood-red eyes fixed on him.

"Again!" Wang Tianxiong, clearly having not encountered such a worthy opponent in a long time, roared excitedly and yanked the reins of his mount. His spiked club, imbued with the deathly roar of a tiger, swung with tremendous force, several feet away, and smashed towards Grand Marshal Cherno's head!

"Ah~~~" Grand Marshal Cherno subtly shook his numb right arm, raised his sword with both hands, and met the attack.

Unexpectedly, a cunning glint flashed in Wang Tianxiong's bloodthirsty eyes. His spiked club clashed with Grand Marshal Cherno's greatsword, then instantly retracted, simultaneously pulling on the reins. The armored silver-backed terrain dragon beneath Wang Tianxiong leaped upwards, its blood-soaked maw lunging towards Grand Marshal Cherno's head. But

Grand Marshal Cherno, who should have been exhausted, somehow found the strength to leap upwards again, his greatsword bypassing the dragon and thrusting towards Wang Tianxiong's chest.

Startled, Wang Tianxiong jumped aside, falling from his mount.

"Old man, you're impressive!" Wang Tianxiong said, giving Grand Marshal Cherno a thumbs-up as he stood nearby.

"Young man, you're not bad either!" Grand Marshal Cherno's eyes flashed with admiration, but quickly dimmed as he looked at Wang Tianxiong.

"I won't take advantage of you, I'll fight you on foot!" Wang Tianxiong laughed, hanging his spiked club on a weapon hook on the armored silver-backed terrain dragon, and pulling out a massive, jet-black battle axe from his spatial ring!

"This is the second set of ultimate techniques our leader taught our Mad Dragon Iron Cavalry, the Thirty-Six Forms of Heavenly Gang and Earthly Fiend Axe! Be careful!" Wang Tianxiong raised the giant axe and shouted.

"This is the sword that has accompanied me through my life of battle—the Ink Inscription Sword!" Grand Marshal Cherno held the giant sword level, speaking softly as if introducing an old friend.

Meanwhile, the First Knights of the Mehes Empire, having clashed with the Mad Dragon Iron Cavalry, finally completed their first charge after leaving behind more than six thousand corpses. However, the nightmare of the First Knights of the Mehes Empire seemed far from over. A chilling, hellish aura emanated from behind them, and before they could react, the last few thousand knights fell from their horses and died a violent death.

"Kill!" Seeing the Netherworld Guards easily wipe out a similar number of enemy soldiers as they had just killed, the indomitable spirit within their berserker bloodline erupted. One of them, seemingly leading the charge, ripped off his heavy armor, swung his massive spiked club, and smashed it down on the knights of the First Knights of the Mehes Empire.

Wild bodies, wild charges, wild tactics, wild slaughter—in an instant, wherever the Mad Dragon Iron Cavalry charged, men and horses fell, screams echoed.

However, none of this distracted Grand Marshal Cherno and Wang Tianxiong. Within a three-zhang radius around them, their auras forced a clear space, and the two, locked in a fierce confrontation, dared not be careless, for this concerned not only their own lives but also the morale of their respective armies!

"Ahhhhhh!" Having been building up his strength for so long, Kuang Tianxiong finally couldn't hold back any longer.

His giant axe, accompanied by a terrifying whistling sound, slashed diagonally towards Grand Marshal Cherno. "Whooshhhhh!" Grand Marshal Cherno exhaled, his Ink-Inscribed Sword, brimming with battle aura, radiating a hazy, dark light, and fiercely cleaved towards Kuang Tianxiong's head. He disregarded the possibility of being cleaved in two by the giant axe; it was a desperate, life-or-death struggle!

Chapter 297:

Even Marshals Can Die on the Battlefield. With a deafening "Crack!", Grand Marshal Cherno dodged Kuang Tianxiong's head-on axe at the last moment, sidestepping and slicing Kuang Tianxiong's neck with his greatsword! Fortunately, Kuang Tianxiong was covered in a layer of heavy black iron armor meticulously crafted by the dwarves. Furthermore, Grand Marshal Cherno had been exhausted from his earlier sway, relying only on the momentum of his sword. Therefore, the armor only left a faint scratch on Kuang Tianxiong's armor. Even so, it gave Kuang Tianxiong a fright, but this only fueled his ferocity.

"Ah...ha..." Before Grand Marshal Cherno could regain his footing, Kuang Tianxiong's giant axe flashed with a cold light, accompanied by a whistling sound, seemingly floating yet flashing, slashing towards Grand Marshal Cherno's neck.

"Hmph!" Grand Marshal Cherno snorted coldly, his greatsword moving like a living thing, blocking the axe's path with afterimages. "Bang!" Sword and axe clashed. Relying on his rich experience, Grand Marshal Cherno slightly pulled back at the moment of contact, then his right foot, like lightning, kicked fiercely towards Kuang Tianxiong's chest and abdomen!

With a loud "bang," Kuang Tianxiong, axe and all, was kicked backward by Grand Marshal Cherno. Grand Marshal Cherno pressed his advantage, his greatsword flying like the wind, aiming for Kuang Tianxiong's unprotected eyes. Kuang Tianxiong reacted quickly, rolling away to dodge the sword, and then slashing his greatsword along the ground towards Grand Marshal Cherno's legs.

"What a pity." Grand Marshal Cherno sighed softly, whether with regret or admiration, as he slammed his greatsword to the ground. It blocked Kuang Tianxiong's giant axe, and he took a step back, calmly dodging the attack. The first round. Grand Marshal Cherno, relying on a lifetime of accumulated experience, gave Kuang Tianxiong a good lesson. However, Grand Marshal Cherno was

, after all, getting on in years. No matter how hard he tried, his physical strength and energy were no longer up to par. After the fierce confrontation, although he tried his best to remain calm, he was still aware of his own condition. "Waaaaahh ... His enormous eyes seemed to bulge out of their sockets, and his already rock-like muscles swelled even more—clearly signs of berserk rage. However, Kuang Tianxiong had already gone berserk from the start, making this a second berserk rage, a phenomenon rarely seen in the Berserker Clan for millennia! Even after this second berserk rage, Kuang Tianxiong maintained his sanity, taking a step forward to cover nearly ten feet, and raising his giant axe. Without hesitation, he brought it down on Grand Marshal Cherno's head! With a clang, Cherno was forced to retreat nearly ten feet, his sword-wielding right hand numb for a long time. But Kuang Tianxiong, in his second berserk rage, gave Grand Marshal Cherno no chance to catch his breath. His giant axe, now whipped around like a blizzard, slammed down on Grand Marshal Cherno's head again.

"Clang!" Grand Marshal Cherno, after parrying, staggered back several steps, but before he could even catch his breath, Kuang Tianxiong's next axe blow came crashing down.

"Clang!"

"Clang!"

"Clang!"

As if possessed, Kuang Tianxiong fought with increasing ferocity, his giant axe chopping faster and faster until it was impossible to see the axe itself. Only afterimages and gusts of wind appeared, as if trying to devour Grand Marshal Cherno, his attacks wild and brutal. Grand Marshal Cherno, having blocked dozens of powerful attacks, was deathly pale. His hands, gripping his sword, were split open, and bright red blood slowly trickled down the blade. It wasn't that Grand Marshal Cherno didn't want to use skill to dodge Kuang Tianxiong's axe, but rather that Kuang Tianxiong's axe was simply too fast. So fast that Grand Marshal Cherno could do nothing but parry with his sword. The Thirty-Six Forms of Heavenly and Earthly Axe Techniques were said to be a peerless skill taught to the Tang Dynasty general Cheng Yaojin by an immortal in his dream. Later, the immortal, fearing the axe technique was too brutal and offensive to the heavens, only taught Cheng Yaojin the first three weakest moves. However, even with the weakest of the three moves, Cheng Yaojin earned his place among the 108 heroes of the Sui and Tang Dynasties, and his first three moves were unmatched. Getting back to the main point, the Thirty-Six Forms of Heavenly Gang and Earthly Fiend Axe Technique that Kuang Tianxiong learned from Tai Feng is the same axe technique Cheng Yaojin used. However, Tai Feng expanded and enriched those three moves based on the characteristics of the Berserker clan, thus creating an axe technique that can be said to be completely tailor-made for the Berserker clan. This axe technique emphasizes concentrating all one's energy into a single strike, aiming to kill the enemy in one blow. Combined with the Berserker's naturally abundant resources, each strike weighs over ten thousand jin, making it impossible for ordinary people to withstand. Finally, after twenty-three blows, Grand Marshal Cherno was cornered by Kuang Tianxiong. Seeing Kuang Tianxiong's ferocious axe about to strike again, the already exhausted Grand Marshal Cherno suddenly glared, letting out a low roar. A resolute glint flashed in his eyes, and his jet-black greatsword erupted with blinding light, thrusting with unstoppable force towards Kuang Tianxiong's chest. A violent aura instantly swept across the entire arena, causing both fighters to involuntarily stop and watch this epic duel.

"Eee~~~~~Ya~~~~~~" The relentlessly attacking Kuang Tianxiong seemed oblivious to Grand Marshal Cherno's incoming sword strike. A sinister smile crept across his lips as he swept his greatsword with a thunderous roar! The once noisy battlefield miraculously fell silent. The pungent smell of death and blood, however, did nothing to disturb the warriors locked in their deadly battle; they all stared intently at Grand Marshal Cherno and Kuang Tianxiong in the center of the battlefield.

"Clang... Plop..." Two clear sounds rang out on the battlefield, and a beautiful, poignant spray of blood rose into the air, crimson like blooming flowers! A magnificent head, white-haired and bearded, flew into the air! On the ground, the jet-black greatsword lay broken in two, lying quietly.

"Roar!" Kuang Tianxiong caught Grand Marshal Cherno's head as it fell from the sky, roaring at the elite soldiers of the Mehes Empire, his blood-splattered black face appearing even more ferocious!

Chapter 298 Annihilation

"Great wind! Great wind!"

"Fight! Fight! Berserker!"

"Roar!"

Seeing their leader holding aloft the enemy marshal's head, the Berserker Iron Cavalry, who had already routed the First Knights of the Mehes Empire,

roared like wild beasts. Their blood seemed to burn, and they raised their weapons, smashing them down on the Mehes Empire's First Knights who were now

disheartened .

Unlike the berserkers' roar, the Netherworld Guards, equally inspired, attacked with even greater speed,

more , and astonishing killing speed.

"Cherno is dead! The Allied Forces have been defeated!" Kuang Tianxiong leaped onto his mount, brandishing Cherno's head, and roared at

the remaining 200,000 Allied soldiers who were unaware that Grand Marshal Cherno had perished at his hands!

"Ah! That really is the Grand Marshal's head!"

"Could they be telling the truth? Could the Grand Marshal really not even be able to defeat this crude berserker?"

"The Grand Marshal is one of the four great sword saints of the continent, how could he..."

"Heavens... if even the Grand Marshal can't defeat them, then what about us...?"

"We'd better run..." In an instant, the morale of the elite soldiers of the Mehes Empire plummeted. Their spirits crumbled, and they couldn't even maintain their previously formed formation, let alone resist

. Under the powerful onslaught of the Mad Dragon Iron Cavalry and the Netherworld Guards, they quickly collapsed. "Run! We're no match for these murderous madmen!" "Go! Run back the way we came!" Leaving aside the Mehes Empire's elite troops in the Trelot Grand Canyon, who were completely disoriented, the more than ten thousand . These mages were used to obeying orders, but with Grand Marshal Cherno dead, they suddenly lost their commanders and their direction. However, death seemed unwilling to let them go. Just as they were about to use their magic to fly back, a scorching heat descended from above, accompanied by a piercing, bird-like scream. "Ahhhhhh!" The mages who looked up only had time to cry out before being engulfed by the oncoming flames. "O omnipotent God of Light, I..." Of course, there were a few with stronger abilities, such as the vice-captain of the magic guild, Jessomo. They could even use their powerful magic to create a magic shield in front of them. However, even so, it only delayed their impending demise by a few seconds.

Under the scorching flames, no matter how strong the magic shields were, they were completely vaporized in the blink of an eye.

Those protected by the shields were reduced to ashes.

Fire rained down from the sky, carrying the stench of burning protein and the smell of burning cloth. However, this

was insignificant to the soldiers of the Mehes Empire, who were only concerned with their own survival. Who

cared how many of these men were once high-ranking mages?

But these scattered Mehes Empire elites were about to face despair.

When they finally reached the canyon mouth after a grueling ordeal, they found five thousand Netherworld Guards lined up neatly at each end of the canyon! Black armor, black warhorses, black spears, black masks—like death itself, five thousand Netherworld Guards

lined up in perfect formation ! "Oh...no..." "My God...could it be..." "Are they going to wipe us out?" This thought suddenly flashed through the soldiers' minds. They had barely crawled out of a pile of corpses, and now they were facing death again? "No, absolutely not! We don't want to die! Brothers, the people of Yanhuang City want to kill us all! For our lives, let's fight them!" A soldier from the Mehes Empire, who appeared to be a squad leader, saw his own soldiers, who had just escaped, exposed to the enemy's elite cavalry. As a professional soldier, he knew very well that this was no different from death! However, even ants try to survive, let alone humans? Clinging to a sliver of hope, these escaped Mehes Empire soldiers charged towards the soldiers guarding the valley entrance! Yes, several thousand Mehes Empire soldiers, their formation uneven, even disorganized, charged towards the five thousand menacing Netherworld Guards ! But are a bunch of mad rabbits enough to threaten a pack of hungry wolves? "Kill!" With a short and powerful command, five thousand Netherworld Guards, led by their leader, charged towards the skirmishers of the Mehes Empire, wielding their jet-black knight lances at an angle ! "Tick-tock...tick-tock...the dull thud of hooves played a deathly melody. The thirty-foot distance vanished in the blink of an eye. Silver streaks and black iron torrents collided, a dazzling interplay of silver and black, the sounds incessant. The grinding sound of spearheads piercing armor, the splattering sound of spears piercing flesh, the screams of those dying, the spurting of blood, the thud of corpses falling to the ground ... each sound weaving together a rhythmless dance of death. As the sun bathed the Trelot Grand Canyon in golden light, this battle, lasting a full day, came to an end! In this battle, the vanguard of the allied forces included 300,000 elite troops, including the First Knights of the Mehes Empire, up to the Imperial Grand Marshal..." From Cherno , one of the four great sword saints , down to the most ordinary soldier in the allied forces, except for one who was captured, none survived! Three hundred thousand soldiers perished at the hands of thirty thousand Netherworld Guards and three thousand Mad Dragon Iron Cavalry. Of course, we cannot forget Catherine, who made a great contribution this time ! However, Yanhuang City did capture one prisoner, namely the supervisor of the allied forces' vanguard, Lord Vatican! After being captured, Vatican was initially very arrogant, but after being severely beaten by the elite guards, he became much more obedient ! Of course, Yanhuang City also obtained a series of information about the allied forces' arrangements against Yanhuang City from this supervisor, but that will be discussed later! Chapter 299 Intelligence "Awooo~~ We have won!" "Haha~~~ Our Berserker Clan truly lives up to its reputation as the most suitable race for the battlefield!" "Our Berserker Clan has finally returned to our long-lost battlefield!" "Hahaha~~~" The Trilot Grand Canyon was stained crimson with blood. The Berserker Iron Cavalry, with only a handful of berserkers wounded and not a single dead, excitedly pounded their armor, embraced each other, and shouted with gusto. Some berserkers who carried alcohol with them took it out of their spatial pouches and drank wildly to vent their excitement. The lively scene contrasted sharply with the desolate battlefield. Meanwhile, the 30,000 Netherworld Guards stood in neat rows, silently watching their comrades excitedly venting their emotions . "Damn it! Shameful! Our 300,000-strong vanguard hasn't even reached the enemy city, and they've been completely annihilated! Not only that, even our supervising officer has been captured! My son!" "Damn the Mehes Empire, damn Cherno, damn Brad... If anything happens to my son, you... Hmph!" Inside a luxurious room within the Great Temple of Light in the Holy City, a middle-aged man in a long, crimson robe embroidered with gold trim, his face clouded with rage, angrily slammed a valuable porcelain vase to the ground. He roared, "No! I must see Her Highness the Holy Maiden and beg her to rescue my child as soon as possible... But Her Highness ordered me to guard the temple, and if I easily leave the city... Never mind, for Vatican City, I have to take the risk. I hope Her Highness the Holy Maiden understands a father's responsibility!" A faint trace of worry appeared on the face of the middle-aged man in the golden robe, then, as if he had made a momentous decision, he walked towards the door . On the northern wasteland of the Redstone Kingdom, the area was now densely covered with tents. Three or five burly soldiers patrolled along a specific route. In the very center of all the tents, there was a large tent, only the size of two ordinary tents, yet its craftsmanship and decoration were exceptionally grand, and it was brightly lit. Inside, at the head of the tent, the Holy Maiden Vivian, dressed in military attire, frowned as she looked at the generals from the surrounding countries, a hint of displeasure appearing on her delicate face. "The warriors of our Fatil Empire will absolutely not fear the bandits of this small Yanhuang City! Moreover, our Fatil soldiers are fierce and skilled in battle. As long as Your Highness commands, I, Hu Lian'an, will certainly lead the Empire's soldiers to take this small Yanhuang City and present it to Your Highness!" A burly general in golden armor inside the tent greedily gazed at the Holy Maiden's peerless beauty at the head of the tent and shouted loudly. "Oh?" "You people of Fatil are brave, but we soldiers of Izumo are just cowards? Can't our soldiers take that little Yanhuang City?" another soldier, also clad in golden armor, said in a gruff voice.

"That's right... Although our Redstone Kingdom's territory and economic strength are not as great as your Fatil's,

the bravery are absolutely no less than your Fatil's. As long as Her Highness the Saintess gives the order, our soldiers

will take Yanhuang City even if it means death!"

"That's right... We..."

For a moment, the entire tent was filled with a fierce argument. Saintess Vivian looked at

the generals from various countries below, who were arguing like fighting cocks, their faces red with anger, and was about to explode. Suddenly, a

voice mixed with panic and a little... fear came from outside the tent—

"Report!"

"Come in!"

A soldier from the allied army, his face covered in dust and his armor disheveled, entered from outside the tent. From his trembling body and the

horror , it was not hard to tell that he must have seen something strange earlier.

"What country are you from, soldier? How can you be so cowardly?! Soldier, answer me! Don't you know that courage is a soldier's

essential quality? You are definitely not a soldier of our Fatil Empire! Speak, what country are you from?" The Fatil

general lunged forward, grabbed the soldier by the collar, and roared.

"I...I..." The soldier's fear deepened, and he couldn't utter a word.

"Release her!" A gentle yet undeniable female voice came from behind the Fatil general.

The Fatil general in golden armor froze, then released the soldier and turned to bow to the saintess, saying, "Yes,

Your Highness!"

Saintess Vivian pointed at the soldier, and a milky-white halo fell from her fingertip onto the soldier

's forehead, flashing and disappearing in an instant.

After a moment, the panic and fear on the soldier's face gradually disappeared, and his eyes gradually regained their clarity.

"A mind-clearing spell?!"

The generals whispered amongst themselves, their gazes filled with even greater reverence as they looked at the Saintess Vivian

.

"Tell me, soldier, what did you see?" Vivian asked gently, looking at the soldier who had regained his composure

.

"Your Highness, I am the squad leader of the first squad of the third scout battalion of the Izumo Empire. I was ordered to check on

the progress of the vanguard composed of elite troops from the Mehes Empire. Everything was going smoothly until... but... when they

reached the Trilot Grand Canyon... then..." The soldier, who had remained

clear-headed after the Saintess's mind-clearing spell, showed a renewed fear when the Trilot Grand Canyon was mentioned.

"What happened to the vanguard after they entered the Trilot Grand Canyon?" The golden-armored general of Fatil asked with a hint of disdain

.

“Relax, speak slowly. What happened to the vanguard when they entered the Trilot Grand Canyon?” Vivian, sitting in her seat, spoke slowly with a hint of something unreadable

on her face .

“After the vanguard entered the Trilot Grand Canyon, they… were ambushed by the Yanhuang City forces… the entire army…

was wiped out …” the soldier said in a trembling voice.

Silence! The entire tent was unusually quiet, except for heavy breathing. Suddenly, General Fatil’s

exaggerated laughter came from inside the tent:

“Haha, soldier, your joke isn’t funny, really not funny. I didn’t realize your Izumo Empire soldiers had

the potential to tell lame jokes! Hahaha!”

Hahahaha…”

“I…I…I’m telling the truth…”

Chapter 300 Slaying

The smile froze on the faces of the allied generals in the tent. Looking at the soldier’s serious expression, the generals felt a chill from the bottom of their hearts. They exchanged glances, and all involuntarily focused their gaze on the saintess Vivian, who sat high on the platform, as if seeking her opinion.

Vivian frowned as if pondering for a moment, then sighed softly and nodded almost imperceptibly.

"Did you tell anyone else about this?" A faint hint of reluctance flashed across the face of the general from the Izumo Empire, but it was fleeting, quickly replaced by a faint smile as he asked.

"No, the brothers who went out with me encountered a scout team from Yanhuang City. I was the only one who escaped. They seem to have set up an ambush in the Trilot Grand Canyon," the soldier said, pausing for a moment.

"Oh, is that so… Then tell me, was this sent by Yanhuang City to sow discord among our troops?! Men, take this enemy spy out and behead him as a warning!" The general's smile vanished abruptly, replaced by a grim expression, as he roared loudly towards the outside of the tent.

"General?! General?!" The soldier stared wide-eyed in disbelief at the Izumo Empire general who had been smiling just a second ago, as the guards who rushed into the tent bound him. He shouted,

"Take him away and behead him! The Mehes Empire is one of the four great empires of the continent, and this time, the vanguard is composed of their elite troops, including the First Knight Order of the Mehes Empire, one of the four great knight orders of the continent, numbering 300,000! The Yanhuang City only has 200,000 at most! Moreover, the leader of the Mehes Empire's army this time is the Grand Marshal of the Mehes Empire, one of the four great sword saints of the continent, Cherno! How could Grand Marshal Cherno, who has spent his life on the battlefield, be completely annihilated?" The golden-armored general of the Fatil Empire suddenly stood up and pointed at the soldier, shouting.

"Injustice! General... everything I said is true... Your Highness... I absolutely did not lie..."

"Take him away!"

A scream rang out from outside the tent, then abruptly stopped, like a rooster with its neck severed, sending chills down one's spine.

"Your Highness..." The general from the Izumo Empire's face turned extremely grim, calling out softly, but daring not to look up.

"Generals, you are all the most outstanding commanders of your respective nations. You bear not only the heavy responsibility of this holy war, but also the honor of your nations. Therefore, you must not be careless," said the Holy Maiden Vivian, her face radiating a holy light.

"Yes, Your Highness!"

"Gentlemen, according to what that soldier just said, the vanguard of this holy war has been completely wiped out. From Grand Marshal Cherno down to the most ordinary soldier, not a single one survived! What are your thoughts on this?"

"Your Highness, this humble general believes that what this soldier said is unreliable! You must know that this vanguard force consisted of an entire..." General Fatil was about to repeat what he had just said when he was interrupted by the general from the Izumo Empire.

"Your Highness, this time our Izumo Empire sent out the elite of the elite, and this soldier was an elite scout. Therefore, this humble general believes that what they said is true, and so..." "

Oh, so according to you, Grand Marshal Cherno and the 300,000 elite troops of the Mehes Empire he led were completely wiped out?" Fatil's golden-armored general asked with a hint of annoyance, seeing that Vivian's attention was drawn to the general from the Izumo Empire.

"Although we are reluctant to believe it, we have to admit that it is indeed the truth!"

"Absurd! Utterly absurd! Although Grand Marshal Cherno's troops are fewer in number than ours, it is impossible to annihilate them all, as you say!"

"I am merely stating the facts..."

"You..."

"Enough!" Saintess Vivian's brows furrowed like a mountain, unable to bear it any longer, and she shouted at the two generals below who were behaving like fighting cocks.

"Your Highness!"

"Your Highness!"

"I need you to analyze the current situation, not to engage in this pointless argument! Hualimutu, tell me, is what that soldier said true?" Vivian didn't even glance at the two generals from Fatil and the Izumo Empire, but turned her gaze to the general from the Redstone Kingdom and asked.

"Your Highness, based on what that soldier said, and combined with the reports from my scouts over the past few days, I dare to conclude that the vanguard of the allied forces led by Grand Marshal Cherno has been completely annihilated by Yanhuang City!" The Red Stone Kingdom general glanced at Saintess Vivian and announced loudly.

"Oh? Then, General Huali, what kind of reports did your returning scouts send back? Could you share them with us?!" Saintess Vivian's eyes flashed with a sharp light as she asked the Red Stone Kingdom general.

"Of course, according to reports from our scouts, deafening battle cries were heard from the direction of the Trilot Grand Canyon that day, audible even hundreds of miles away. At that time, the sky in the direction of the Trilot Grand Canyon seemed to be on fire, visible even from our important border towns thousands of miles away. And since that day, we have received no further news from the vanguard!" the Red Stone Kingdom general said slowly.

"I see." Saintess Vivian nodded, glancing disdainfully at the Fatil general out of the corner of her eye. Then she rose, her eyes gleaming, and swept over the generals below, saying in a deep voice:

"In this way, the news that our vanguard was completely wiped out in the Trelot Grand Canyon can be confirmed! Although these 300,000 fresh meat are not many compared to our army's five million, they have still sounded an alarm for us! Gentlemen, we must not be careless!"

"Yes! We obey Your Highness's orders!" "

Order the entire army to strengthen its vigilance and send out more scouts. Generals, pay attention: report immediately if you encounter any suspicious situation. Do not act without authorization. Anyone who disobeys will be executed!"

"Yes!"

"At the same time, the entire army should slow down its march. The news of the vanguard's annihilation must be kept secret! Otherwise, it will cause unnecessary panic!"

"Yes!"

Chapter 301 Analysis of

the Yanhuang City Marshal's Office Council.

"Gentlemen, our ability to annihilate the vanguard of the invading allied forces—the 300,000 elite troops of the Mehes Empire—is entirely due to your excellent cooperation. However, these 300,000 Mehes Empire soldiers are but a drop in the ocean compared to the 5 million allied troops. According to our scouts, the main force of the allied forces, numbering 4.7 million, led by Saint Vivian of the Holy See of Light, has reached the border of the Mayan Wasteland. Our situation is extremely critical! What are your thoughts, everyone?!" Catherine, still clad in black armor with a cold expression, swept her gaze across the room and spoke calmly.

"What's there to say? Of course, we'll let them devour our Southern Kingdom! Three hundred thousand are going to die, three million are going to die too. We have our leader here, and Sister-in-law Phoenix and Sister-in-law Aini here, we'll make sure they don't leave alive! The men of our Berserker Clan are pulling out all the stops, those three hundred thousand Mehes soldiers aren't even enough to fill our teeth!" Kuang Tianxiong's arrogant voice rang out in the hall, but no one said anything to him. Being able to wipe out a whole three hundred thousand enemy troops with less than forty thousand troops—three thousand Berserker Iron Cavalry and thirty thousand Netherworld Guards—in itself demonstrated his formidable strength.

"This time, the enemy has four million seven hundred thousand, not three hundred thousand. Are you sure you can kill them all?" another deep, slightly hoarse voice came.

"Hey, Lao Lei, all I did was show off this time, and you didn't get to go. All I did was kill over seven thousand people, and you didn't. All I did was... you didn't get to go. But this was Phoenix Sister-in-law's order! You can't blame me, and you can't be so difficult with me, can you?" Kuang Tianxiong turned his head and looked up to see "Angry Lion" Lei Men's flushed face. He grinned, revealing his snow-white teeth, and words burst from his large mouth like cannonballs.

"You bastard, if you're so tough, fight me for three hundred rounds! You're supposed to be the young patriarch of the Mad Warrior Clan, but after the first time you beat me to a pulp, you've never dared to fight me again..." Angry Lion Lei Men glared at Kuang Tianxiong's smug black face and said through gritted teeth.

"Tch, our great boss taught us to use our brains! You've already reached the level of a beginner Sword God, while I'm only a mid-level Sword Saint. Our strength is clearly a level below each other. Aside from the first time I was bullied by you without knowing it, I'm not stupid. Knowing I'm no match for you, why would I still challenge you? That would be idiotic!" Kuang Tianxiong looked at Lei Men's gritting teeth, his mouth widening in a defiant grin, as if to say, "I can't beat you, I won't fight you, what can you do about it?"

"Haha~~~" Everyone present was amused by these two clowns and couldn't help but laugh, lightening the previously tense atmosphere of the meeting.

"Alright, although the enemy's advance is fierce, they also have a fatal weakness. Although they claim to be an allied force of all the continent's nations, the newly risen Qin Empire did not send any troops. Moreover, judging from the composition of this allied force, it is not a monolithic entity. The three major empires—Fatir, Mehes, and Izumo—account for two-thirds of the entire allied force. Although the Holy See is suppressing them from above, their underhanded actions will likely continue. In addition, some smaller kingdoms and duchies are purely here to fish in troubled waters and will not put in their best effort when it matters. Therefore, although we are at a significant disadvantage in terms of military strength, we are not without hope of victory!" Catherine's cold voice rang out again in the hall, but fortunately, everyone was used to it and did not take it seriously.

"Vice Commander, I would like to ask, when will Lord Qin Feng appear?" The Winged Human Clan Chief frowned his snow-white eyebrows and asked.

"Grand Marshal Qin Feng is currently in seclusion, breaking through his own bottleneck. I believe that once he emerges, his strength will reach an even higher level!" The one who answered the winged human chieftain was Aini, who had remained silent from the beginning.

"Oh, I see..." A glint flashed in the winged human chieftain's eyes, then he lowered his head and remained silent.

"Now, I will explain the upcoming battle strategy and plan," Catherine said, taking over the conversation.

"Given the disunity within the allied forces, our operational strategy is to divide and encircle them, defeat them one by one, and eliminate their manpower! In the two weeks since they reached Yanhuang City, our objective is to annihilate the manpower they have gathered from various countries. According to our scouts, the main force of the Papacy is divided into four routes. The largest force is a million-strong army assembled from the elite troops of various countries within the Papal States, attacking from within the Redstone Kingdom; then, four Class A legions totaling 800,000 troops from Fatil are advancing upstream along the Peterson River, attacking by water; five legions from the Izumo Empire totaling 900,000 troops are attacking from Silver City; besides the 300,000-strong vanguard, the Mehes Empire has another 600,000 troops assembled from all over the country, which will attack from the east of Yanhuang City; as for the remaining approximately 1.4 million troops from other kingdoms and duchies, neither their equipment nor their combat strength poses a significant threat to us, so these 1.4 million miscellaneous troops are not a concern!"

Upon hearing Catherine's analysis, the crowd below straightened up, a jolt of surprise washing over them. Based on past experience, the next step would likely be Catherine deploying troops.

"Of these enemy forces, the most threatening is the million-strong army from the Papal States, a contingent of elite troops from various nations and the angelic legions of the divine realm. Therefore, this army should avoid any contact with them before eliminating the other forces. As for the other troops, Lei Men!" Catherine finished her analysis and pointed sharply.

"Your subordinate is here!" Lei Men, the raging lion, responded reflexively.

"You will lead 30,000 Yan Yun Guards, utilizing the mobility of your cavalry, to wait near Silver City for the 900,000 troops of the Izumo Empire. Aim to eliminate four-fifths of them before they reach Yanhuang City. Of course, if you can eliminate them all, that would be even better!"

"Yes!" Lei Men's eyes flashed with excitement as he shouted.

"Ye Xinghen!"

"Your subordinate is here!"

"Your mission is to lead 50,000 beast warriors to ambush the 600,000-strong force from the Mayan Wasteland in the east, and seize the opportunity to annihilate them!"

"Yes, sir!"

Chapter 302 Taking Advantage of Your Weakness

The Qin Empire's capital, the Imperial Palace, Hall of Power

Qin Feng, dressed in a golden imperial robe, sat high on the throne, his eyes closed, expressionless, as if deep in thought.

Below the jade steps, a row of burly generals in golden helmets and silver armor stood quietly, seemingly awaiting their boss's decision.

"Let's talk about the current situation first. What is the current battle situation between Yanhuang City and the Holy War Alliance?" After a long while, Qin Feng's voice came from the high platform. Although his tone was calm, it contained an indescribable majesty.

"Your Majesty! The current battle situation has reached an unprecedented level of mystery." A general leading the group below the jade steps immediately stepped forward and reported.

"Oh? Mystery?" Qin Feng, sitting high on the throne, suddenly opened his eyes and stared at the general below him, asking.

"Yes! Originally, we subordinates thought that with the strength of Yanhuang City, it would be doomed to defeat against the five million-strong Holy War Alliance. In fact, we even predicted that Yanhuang City could only hold out for three days at most. But we never expected... we never expected that Catherine, who was in charge of commanding Yanhuang City this time, would be such an unparalleled military genius! First, she ambushed the elite vanguard of the Mehes Empire in the Trelot Grand Canyon in the Mayan Wasteland and annihilated them. This was already astonishing enough, but compared to their subsequent actions, it was just..." The golden-armored general's eyes lit up when he spoke of the battle between Yanhuang City and the Holy War Alliance, and he praised Catherine, who was in charge of commanding Yanhuang City, highly.

"Report the latest situation." A faint smile of joy flashed across Qin Feng's eyes on the throne, but his majestic voice came down from his mouth.

"Yes, indeed! Seven days ago, Yanhuang's valiant general, Rai Men, led 30,000 Yan Yun Guards in an ambush against 900,000 elite troops from the Izumo Empire. With the help of a thousand dragons, they completely annihilated these 900,000 elite troops. The situation was strikingly similar to the ambush at the Trelot Grand Canyon, and the results were almost identical. Both were clean and decisive annihilations! On the same day, at the source of the Peterson River, 800,000 elite troops of Fatil were ambushed by 10,000 winged people and 2,000 fire dragons. All 800,000 elite troops perished in the flames! On the same day, in the eastern part of the Mayan Wasteland, 50,000 beastmen from the Lion, Tiger, and Behemoth tribes, taking advantage of the terrain and supported by 1,500 dragons, swept away the unprepared 600,000 reinforcements of the Mehes Empire!" The golden-armored general, clearly well-prepared, replied immediately. His words were clear and logical.

"Oh? What about the other 1.4 million or so miscellaneous troops?" The golden-armored general's words had barely faded when Qin Feng's question rang out.

"Goodness, His Majesty the Emperor is truly remarkable. I only just received this news, yet he seems to know everything..." The golden-armored general's thoughts flashed through his mind, but he continued without hesitation:

"As for the 1.4 million or so miscellaneous troops from kingdoms and duchies that Your Majesty mentioned, after receiving news that the Holy War Alliance's several armies had been annihilated, they all rested on the spot and did not advance immediately, seemingly observing the next move of both sides. Currently, the only real threat to Yanhuang City is this million-strong allied force, led by the Holy Maiden Vivian of the Church of Light, composed of the most elite troops from various countries. Among them, 100,000 angels who descended from the divine realm are also part of this million-strong force."

"A million troops?" Qin Feng slowly rose from his throne, his imposing aura of a true dragon emanating from him, causing the generals below the jade steps to gasp for breath.

"Yes, the real threat to Yanhuang City right now is the last million troops in the Papacy's allied forces," the golden-armored general replied, forcibly suppressing his agitation.

"Even if Vivian holds on tightly, a million elite troops from various countries can no longer be completely under her control. As long as…" Qin Feng slowly descended from the throne, the jade pendant hanging on his body tinkling.

"Your Majesty, you mean…" Those present were all veteran generals trained by the First Emperor, and they immediately sensed a bloodthirsty undertone in Qin Feng's words, all looking at him with expectant eyes.

"The entire continent thought I, Qin Feng, had disappeared… My woman has been steadfastly protecting me, and it's time for me to reappear…" Qin Feng slowly opened his eyes, and instantly, a divine light comparable to lightning burst forth from them; wherever the light passed, no one dared to look directly at him. Those military generals who usually prided themselves on their martial prowess were now like mice seeing a cat, all of them unable to lift their heads, yet their ears were perked up, afraid of missing any information.

"Meng Ling!" Qin Feng suddenly called out in a solemn voice, a powerful aura of an emperor's true dragon erupting from his body. --

"Your subordinate is here!" The golden-armored soldier, upon hearing his name called first, immediately stepped forward, his face full of expectation and a hint of ingratiation as he looked at Qin Feng.

"This so-called continental coalition attacked Yanhuang City. It was initially thought that Yanhuang City alone couldn't withstand a single wave of attacks from the coalition, but unexpectedly, under Catherine's command, Yanhuang City repeatedly annihilated the coalition forces. Now, due to their involvement in Yanhuang, the various countries are practically defenseless, with their forces only sufficient for maintaining order." Qin Feng smiled calmly, paused, and continued,

"Therefore, our target shouldn't be the capitals of these countries with weakened defenses!"

"Ah?!" Even with the generals' extraordinary courage, they couldn't help but gape upon hearing Qin Feng's words, staring at him as if he were a monster. However, the excitement flashing in their eyes couldn't be hidden from anyone.

"Yes! Conquer all the capitals of these countries, capture all their kings! Then, use their monarchs' orders to dismantle this million-strong army. In the end, all that will remain are the Papal States' 200,000 elite troops plus the 100,000 angels from the Divine Realm!" A confident smile graced Qin Feng's face, his unparalleled aura making him appear even taller.

"This..."

"This is called striking while the iron is hot!"

Chapter 303: The Enemy Approaches the City

On the city walls of Yanhuang City on the grasslands, the soldiers of Yanhuang City, clad in gleaming armor, stood solemnly at attention. The leaders of Yanhuang City looked grimly at the allied forces below, led by the Holy Maiden Weiwei'an, composed of elite troops from various countries. The allied

forces, numbering over a million, were like ants, swarming down from the walls of Yanhuang City, densely surrounding the entire city. The fluttering flags obscured the sky, and the dust kicked up by the marching army stained the sky a dusky yellow, as if dusk had arrived early.

"Vice Commander! We..." The Winged Clan Chief frowned his long, snow-white eyebrows, about to say something, but was interrupted by Catherine, who was fully armored—

"Return to the Council to discuss a strategy to repel the enemy."

Her tone was calm, without any command, yet it conveyed an unquestionable sense of authority.

"Increase manpower and maintain vigilance day and night." Catherine turned to the dwarf general in charge of today's patrol and said.

"Yes, Vice Commander!" At

the Allied Headquarters below Yanhuang City.

"Your Highness, we have now completely surrounded Yanhuang City. Not even a mosquito could escape! Your Highness, we await your command. At your word, the sons of Fatil will use our flesh and blood to pry open the sturdy gates of Yanhuang City. We will use our lives and blood to protect the gods we have always believed in!" The Fatil general was clearly dressed specially today, appearing radiant and full of vigor.

"Your Highness, all the soldiers of our Izumo Empire will not slacken in the slightest. At Your Highness's command, we will immediately scale the walls of Yanhuang City and utterly slaughter these heretics who disrespect God! Let God's glory shine upon the entire continent!" The general from the Izumo Empire retorted without hesitation.

Instantly, the entire allied headquarters erupted in fervor, with everyone urging Weiwei An to join the battle. It seemed that Yanhuang City was like a lump of dough in their eyes, easily manipulated, completely forgetting the fact that, under the relentless attacks of Yanhuang City over the past two weeks, their original million-strong army had dwindled to less than seven hundred thousand.

Weiwei An sighed inwardly, a strange glint in her eyes. Glancing at the eager-to-show-off generals from various countries, she sighed inwardly, "What a bunch of reckless idiots! If Yanhuang City were so easy to conquer, the divine realm wouldn't have needed to send down 100,000 angels as reinforcements. Just the fact that they were able to annihilate the original 5 million-strong army to 700,000 before I could even integrate them demonstrates Yanhuang City's immense strength. Apart from these 100,000 parachuted angel legions, none of our forces can rival any of Yanhuang City's. It's a pity these brainless fools, always scheming and plotting, haven't realized the gap between themselves and Yanhuang City, and dare to utter such thoughtless words!"

However, Saintess Vivian didn't speak so directly, considering the overall situation. After a moment's thought, she slowly said, "You've all had a long and arduous journey, and I know you're all exhausted. I know your unwavering faith and bravery. However, God doesn't want his faithful followers to suffer unnecessary harm. Therefore, everyone should rest first, and we can discuss things again tomorrow." “

Your Highness, we…” Upon hearing this, the golden-armored general of Fatil stood up anxiously, his shiny hair shaking violently. He wanted to say something, but was interrupted by Vivian’s enchanting and captivating voice. “

This is the will of God! Those who believe in me will live forever!”

“May the gods protect us!” Upon hearing Vivian’s tone, the generals from various countries present knew that the situation was beyond change. They each lowered their heads and complained before withdrawing.

In the council chamber of the Grand Marshal’s Mansion in Yanhuang City.

“Vice Marshal, why hasn’t the Grand Marshal emerged from seclusion yet? The enemy army is already at the city walls. If he doesn’t come out to take charge soon, then we will… we will…” The winged human chieftain, as if his pants were on fire, immediately stood up and asked loudly as soon as he sat down in the council chamber.

"Grand Marshal Qin Feng hasn't come out yet..." A barely perceptible look flashed across Catherine's face. Before she could explain anything, the Winged Human Chieftain interrupted her—

"Why hasn't he come out yet? What time is it? The situation is dire! A million-strong army has already surrounded the entire Yanhuang City. If he doesn't come out soon, the consequences will truly be... well... um..." The Winged Human Chieftain was about to say something when he sensed the atmosphere around him suddenly become strange. The generals around him, whether it was the usually arrogant Kuang Tianxiong Leimen and others, or the usually quiet goblin leader and the Dragon Emperor who acted as strategists, all looked at him with surprise, even incomprehension. As for Catherine, who had been interrupted, she remained expressionless, but something seemed to be discerned in her sharp eyes.

"Um... I... I just wanted to ask when the Grand Marshal will be able to come out of seclusion, because our situation is very serious right now, so... so... I didn't mean anything else..." The winged human chieftain was no pushover either. Seeing everyone's expressions, he immediately knew what was going on and said in a flustered manner.

"Yanhuang City is now in dire straits, and I understand everyone's feelings. However, as the saying goes, every cloud has a silver lining. We cannot sit idly by and wait for our doom. We are not without hope of victory. Think about how we annihilated the enemy's more than four million troops with less than two hundred thousand soldiers. Such a victory is unprecedented in the entire history of the continent!"

Catherine paused, glanced at the silent Aini, and continued, "Moreover, our Marshal is currently in the most critical moment of his seclusion. Everyone must not lose heart!"

"Yes, Vice Marshal!"

"What follows will be the most severe moment in the history of Yanhuang City. Everyone must not be careless! Now let's discuss the defense deployment..."

Chapter 304 Siege of

the Fatil Empire's capital, as usual, was still a scene of prosperity and intoxication. The bustling crowds still had a unique sense of peace and satisfaction on their faces. The rich continued their extravagant lifestyles, and the poor continued their lives of poverty.

In this Holy War, Fatil, as the most active empire, practically mobilized its entire national military force. Over a hundred cities across the country, and even the capital, were left with only five thousand troops merely for maintaining order. For Emperor Fatil, Yanhuang City was like a huge cake; the more people sent, the more wealth they would receive!

Moreover, although news of setbacks for the allied forces occasionally arrived, Emperor Fatil dismissed it all as nonsense. Since the Duke of Tulip's death in the capital of Mehes, although the eldest son had grown rapidly, he couldn't fill the Duke's role beside the old emperor in a short time, and his understanding of some matters remained limited. Furthermore, what the old emperor feared was that the new Duke of Tulip seemed to have enormous ambitions, something every emperor deeply dreaded.

Overall, however, everything was still in the hands of His Majesty the old emperor, and with Princess Helen keeping an eye on the duke, Emperor Fatil was quite relaxed, even content with the status quo. He was simply waiting for news of the holy army's triumphant return, waiting to divide up the wealthiest city on the continent, Yanhuang, a city rumored to be overflowing with gold and overflowing with riches. What did it matter if the entire nation's military strength was exhausted? All the countries on the continent had sent almost their entire armies; even if they were all wiped out, it couldn't be just Fatil's alone, could it?

As usual, Emperor Fatil got up in the morning and did what he had done for decades without interruption, enjoying a sumptuous breakfast. Just as he was about to go to court, he was suddenly bumped into by a hurried figure. Fortunately, even after all these years, His Majesty's agility hadn't diminished, and he deftly dodged around it at the last moment.

"What's going on? Why are you in such a panic?" Emperor Fatil tried to calm his anger and asked, suppressing his temper.

"Your Majesty... Your Majesty... Something terrible has happened, Your Majesty..." The figure was a flustered eunuch who hurriedly spoke upon seeing the Emperor.

"What's the matter that you're in such a panic? If you don't give me a good reason, then you can forget about keeping your head." Emperor Fatil took a deep breath and said coldly.

"Your Majesty... Your Majesty... The enemy... The enemy... They're here..." the eunuch said tremblingly, his face deathly pale.

"Enemy forces? What enemy forces? What a joke... The entire continent is engaged in the Holy War, where would they find the spare troops to attack us? It seems I was too lenient with you before! Hmph, very well, guards come here..." Emperor Fatil suddenly widened his eyes and stared at the eunuch.

"Your Majesty... It's true... It's absolutely true... Outside the city... Outside the city, we're surrounded... We..." The eunuch's face turned deathly pale. He trembled as he spoke.

"Surrounded?" Emperor Fatil's pupils contracted sharply.

"Yes."

"Guards! Prepare the horses! To the city walls!" Emperor Fatil displayed the composure of a great emperor, shouting loudly.

"Yes, Your Majesty!" Several black-clad figures, exuding a chilling aura, emerged from inconspicuous corners of the palace and followed Emperor Fatil towards the city walls.

"Greetings,

Your Majesty! "

On the walls of the capital city of Fatil, a stern-faced general gazed down at the densely packed army below, a sight resembling a black iron torrent. Some timid officials and generals, never having seen battle, trembled in fear at the sheer power emanating from this black iron mass.

Some sharp-eyed officials saw the gloomy-faced Emperor Fatil, protected by several men in black, arrive at the city wall. They immediately knelt and paid their respects.

"Rise! Can anyone tell me what's going on? Why are the people in the city so panicked along the way? What has the city defense command been doing?" Emperor Fatil's expression grew increasingly grim, until he almost roared.

"Your Majesty, please calm down! This time the enemy came too quickly. They came under cover of darkness, and all our forces have already been sent to attack Yanhuang City, leaving our defenses weakened. Therefore, we didn't discover them..." The defending general, terrified, knelt before Emperor Fatil and explained.

"Hmm... I'll waive that this time. Please come with me to assess the enemy's situation!" Emperor Fatil nodded slightly, his previously terribly grim expression softening somewhat. He addressed the group of civil and military officials who were watching him with bated breath.

Upon reaching the watchtower on the city wall, Emperor Fatil saw a dense, dark mass of enemy troops below. They were all jet-black, with no other color visible.

Strange armor, strange clothing, strange weapons, strange formations—everything seemed completely unrelated to anything known on the continent, yet they exuded an aura of invincibility. "

Whose army is this? Why...why do I feel such a sense of insurmountable power?" A sense of helplessness washed over Emperor Fatil. He turned to his ministers and asked,

"My lords, can any of you tell me which country this army is from? How many are there?" "

Your Majesty, judging from the armor and formation of this army, we cannot discern which country they belong to. As for the number of troops, it is approximately two hundred thousand!" the original general replied.

"Two hundred thousand?! How many garrisons do we have in the capital?" Emperor Fatil asked in a bitter voice, though he already knew this would be the result, he still wanted to confirm.

"Your Majesty only has five thousand city garrisons."

"And the imperial guards in the palace?"

"The imperial guards have also been largely mobilized this time, leaving only five thousand in the palace, meaning the total strength in the capital is only ten thousand!"

"Ten thousand, while the enemy has a full two hundred thousand!" Emperor Fatil suddenly felt dizzy, then everything went black, and he lost consciousness.

"Your Majesty!"

"Your Majesty!"

"Quickly, help His Majesty into the palace!"

Chapter 305: The Hidden Chess

At dawn, the sun, as always, leaped up from the horizon precisely on time, impatiently showering golden flames across the sky. The drifting white clouds, as always, slowly circled around, gradually turning golden-red around the sun, just as always. ---

However, it was obvious that the atmosphere in Yanhuang City was vastly different from usual. The city's residents seemed to sense this unusual atmosphere, huddling in their homes... Inside the room, the once bustling Yanhuang City now appeared exceptionally desolate.

In the makeshift command post erected on the city wall, the generals of Yanhuang City looked solemnly at Catherine, who remained expressionless. The 700,000 troops surrounding the city were the elite forces of the entire continent, far surpassing the millions they had previously annihilated. More importantly, those present were all masters among masters, and they could naturally feel

the overwhelming aura emanating from the allied forces below, like a towering mountain.

"It seems the angelic legion from the divine realm has arrived with this force." The Winged Human Chieftain glanced into the distance with a complex expression, then lowered his head and spoke softly. Though his voice was soft, it was still clearly audible to everyone present in the unusually quiet command headquarters. ---

However, everyone in the command headquarters seemed not to hear him, each lost in their own thoughts. The Winged Human Chieftain felt awkward, but this did not deter him. He turned his eyes and asked Catherine, who was frowning and seemingly deep in thought,

"Vice Commander, the Marshal...?"

"The Marshal will appear when he is most needed. Don't worry about that. Just do your job! Understand?" Catherine didn't open her eyes, remaining in a closed-eye position, yet an indescribable pressure emanated from her, sweeping across the entire command headquarters like a gust of wind.

For a moment, everyone felt a difficulty breathing, but this aura came and went quickly, receding like a tide just as they were struggling to breathe. ---

Catherine, however, remained unfazed, her eyelids still closed, and calmly said:

"Now is a crucial moment. Every one of you here is a pillar of Yanhuang City. Yanhuang City's current state is entirely due to your collective efforts. Therefore, I hope that for the survival of Yanhuang City, you can set aside past grievances and join hands to help Yanhuang City overcome this crisis. If any of you harbor ulterior motives, you may leave now. But if you stay, then I hope you will uphold the principles of a subordinate. Otherwise, I, Catherine, swear on my life, even if it means going to heaven and earth, I will kill them!" "

After Catherine finished speaking, she stood up and left the command headquarters, her eyes remaining closed the entire time. With her departure, the generals, who had been feeling oppressed for so long, felt the pressure lift instantly. The atmosphere in the command headquarters seemed to lighten considerably.

The generals couldn't help but feel a chill run down their spines, secretly wondering who Catherine had been referring to. Some even glanced out of the corner of their eyes at the winged human chieftain, whose face was now ashen.

"...Huff..." The winged human chieftain seemed to sense the unwelcome gazes of the crowd. He opened his mouth as if to say something, but no words came out. Finally, he let out two angry sighs, rose, and left the command headquarters.

As the winged human chieftain left, a buzz of discussion arose throughout the command headquarters, but no one noticed a glint of sinister and smug eyes flashing in a corner.

Beneath Yanhuang City. Inside the magnificent and spacious command tent of the allied forces.

Saintess Vivi stood to one side, while a very handsome young man sat in the main seat. His golden

hair was as radiant as the sun. His bright eyes were like a clear pool of water, his nose was straight as a gall bladder, and the corners of his mouth were slightly upturned. Combined with his tall and straight figure and the well-fitting bright silver armor, he was undoubtedly the most suitable prince charming in the hearts of young girls in love.

"Lord Stephen, our army has now surrounded Yanhuang City. We await your instructions for the next move..." Vivian, dressed in a flowing white silk dress that accentuated her alluring figure, spoke humbly, her head bowed.

"Vivian, I am only here to assist you on the orders of my Lord. You will be in charge of the specific command. Don't feel too much pressure. Command at your normal level. I believe that with our forces, which outnumber Yanhuang City's, we can certainly remove this thorn in the side of the gods." The handsome young man seated at the head of the table waved his hand and spoke in a magnetic voice.

"Yes, Lord Stephen! As per your previous instructions, those in the allied forces who were not yet loyal to the Papacy... have all perished at the hands of Yanhuang City. The remaining 700,000 troops are truly devout followers of my Lord! Therefore, I hope you can..." A flicker of emotion crossed Vivian's eyes as she spoke.

"Hmm, very good, you've done a very good job. This operation has not only greatly weakened the strength of various countries, but they're also struggling to maintain order, let alone expand their territories. After eliminating the blasphemers in Yanhuang City, we can sweep across the entire continent with the momentum of our great victory. At that time, the glory of the gods will still reach every corner of the continent, and you will be blessed by the gods!" A fanatical glint flashed in the handsome general's eyes, which then cleared as he looked at Vivian.

"Yes! Then I congratulate you, sir, on your great service to my lord. I'm sure my lord will reward you handsomely! I hope you will give me your guidance then."

"Haha... Hmm, don't rush the attack now. Didn't we arrange a hidden move? It's time to let it play its role. Yanhuang City? Hmph... Many times, victory doesn't necessarily require too much effort." The young general squinted and said softly.

"Yes! My lord is wise." Vivian bowed and flattered the young general.

Chapter 306 Internal Thief

Yanhuang City was built through the joint efforts of various races, resulting in distinct residential areas clustered around different races, known as "ju" (居), such as dwarf ju, winged ju, goblin ju, and so on. ---

After returning from the command headquarters in a huff, the winged patriarch locked himself in his room, refusing to see anyone. This left the winged people who witnessed their patriarch's outburst somewhat bewildered. However, this was unimportant, because---

"Patriarch, you still have the mood to stay here? Heh... Aren't you worried about your people? And your own life?" A sinister voice echoed from the darkness, and a blurry figure seemed to have been waiting there all along. This figure was completely indistinct except for a pair of gleaming eyes.

The winged human chieftain was startled and took several steps back, staring at the dark figure in the darkness. He asked,

"Who are you...?"

"Hehe... Who I am is not important. What's important is that I can help you, Chieftain, resolve the crisis you are currently facing..." the dark figure said with a hoarse laugh.

"What a joke! What problems could I possibly have? What crisis could I possibly face? I am loyal to Yanhuang City and to the Commander-in-Chief. What crisis could I possibly have? What problems could I possibly face? What a joke! What a huge joke! You, leave immediately, and I'll pretend you were never here. Otherwise, don't blame me for having you arrested!" The winged human chieftain laughed loudly and said sharply to the dark figure. "

Tsk tsk... Chieftain, you're scared yourself... Think about it, since your Winged People submitted, has the treatment you've received been fair? As the wisest elder, how many of your suggestions have been accepted? Think about the looks in the eyes of those people in the command headquarters today, Catherine's attitude towards you... Think about it, if they fail this battle, your Winged People will be buried with Yanhuang City! Is it worth it? Facing an army of 700,000 and an angel legion of 100,000, do you think Yanhuang City can withstand it with its current strength? When Yanhuang City falls, everyone here will be buried with it! Your Winged People will suffer the pain of extermination because of your, Chieftain's, wrong decision! Think about it, the Winged People have barely survived tens of thousands of years of war, and only a few of them have survived. If they are all destroyed in your hands, can you face your ancestors?" A strange light flashed in the shadowy figure's eyes. The shadowy figure spoke with a seductive, analytical tone.

"We..." Seemingly struck by the shadowy figure's words, the winged chieftain opened his mouth but found his words inadequate.

"Chieftain, if you are still a responsible chieftain, if you are still a chieftain who seriously considers the future of your winged race, then, Chieftain, you should seriously consider the future of your winged race." The shadowy figure continued, seemingly intent on shattering the chieftain's defenses.

Silence fell; only the chieftain's slightly heavy breathing filled the room.

After a long pause, the slightly hoarse voice of the Winged Human Chieftain echoed in the room.

"Alright. I admit, what you said hit the nail on the head. So, tell me your conditions. Don't tell me you're offering no conditions whatsoever; the Holy See has never been so kind, hmph."

"Of course, there's no such thing as a free lunch. I think, as a wise elder, you understand that. So, respected Chieftain, I'm very pleased that you've made a wise choice. Welcome to our camp! The Winged Human race will surely rise to glory because of your decision!" The shadowy figure chuckled awkwardly before addressing the Winged Human Chieftain.

"What should I do?" the Winged Human Chieftain asked, a hint of disdain in his eyes.

"Hmm, Chieftain, don't be in such a hurry. Take your time. First, we need intelligence about the situation in Yanhuang City."

"Although I don't know who you are, judging from your tone, you must be a member of the current high-ranking officials in Yanhuang City. You probably have as much intelligence as I do. Asking me for intelligence seems a bit redundant, doesn't it?" The Winged Human Chieftain said, a glint of shrewdness in his eyes.

"We need to verify it. Actually, the intelligence we have isn't comprehensive. Catherine divided us into several responsible areas, and none of us are familiar with the defenses of the other areas. We need verification, we need cooperation!" The dark figure waved his hands repeatedly.

"We Winged Humans are responsible for the defense of Winged Human Residence. I, as the Chieftain, know all of this..." The Winged Human Chieftain's eyes flashed with a divine light, but he didn't continue, instead looking at the dark figure with a playful gaze.

"Oh, this... cough cough, well, I will certainly convey the loyalty of the Winged People to my lord. Well, let's leave it at that for today, I'll head back now..." The dark figure had expected the Winged People's chieftain to reveal the defenses of the Winged People's territory, but the old chieftain was a shrewd individual who didn't disclose any details, leaving the figure disappointed. Finally, the figure had no choice but to leave.

Seeing the dark figure vanish into thin air, the Winged People's chieftain, realizing the other party was deliberately showing off, was secretly astonished. This was advanced spatial magic, a technique lost after the great war tens of thousands of years ago!

Inside the allied forces' command tent beneath Yanhuang City, Stephen, the commander of the angelic legion descended from the divine realm, a mysterious

smile appeared on his previously expressionless face. He murmured in a barely audible voice, "Heh... interesting... um... not bad... not bad..."

Inside the Grand Marshal's Mansion within Yanhuang City, Catherine, clad in military attire, also revealed a faint smile on her previously icy face. She glanced seemingly casually

towards the outside of the city, then turned and returned to the Martial Arts Hall. Her spear, shimmering with energy ripples, thrust out along its predetermined trajectory.

Chapter 307: The Doomsday

of the Fatil Empire.

Strangely enough, ever since the capital was surrounded by this army with its peculiar armor, weapons, and formations, things had

been relatively peaceful. While it couldn't compare to the carefree life they once knew, it was still infinitely better than the

carnage .

As the saying goes, the calm before the storm, and some astute individuals sensed a

lurking storm brewing beneath the surface. However, this seemed futile, as the capital of Fatil was already completely surrounded

, an impenetrable fortress. No matter how powerful one was, there was no way to break through.

Perhaps sensing the tranquility before death, or perhaps knowing their lives were nearing their end, the residents of the Fatil

capital began to indulge in debauchery. Theft, robbery, and other atrocities erupted. At first, there were only one or two incidents, which the city guards could handle

. However, some members of the guards joined in, escalating the violence until bloodshed became inevitable

, plunging the entire city of Fatil into unprecedented chaos.

"Ruthless! Ruthless indeed! They don't just want to conquer our capital; they want to conquer it without bloodshed! But we

know their intentions, yet we can't stop them! Damn it, this army isn't human, it's demons!" The Emperor of the Fatil

Empire smashed his cup on the ground, his voice filled with resentment and helplessness.

As if confirming the Emperor's suspicions, after three days of a siege without attack,

the began their assault. ---

Without any prelude, as the residents of Fatil continued their revelry, the tentacles of death stealthily reached out under the cover of night

towards these decadent inhabitants of the Fatil capital.

Without a sound, the black-armored soldiers, like ghosts in the night, deployed various advanced siege weapons

atop the walls of the Fatil capital.

"Huh? Who's there... ah..." A drunken Fatil city guard staggered to a corner of the wall to relieve himself

. Seeing the blurry images before him, he managed to utter a single question before his throat tightened, and he

collapsed, clutching his bleeding throat, barely managing a scream.

Soon, the defenses on the walls of the Fatil capital crumbled easily under the black-armored army. The weakened city guards

posed no obstacle whatsoever, falling to the ground like livestock being slaughtered.

On a dark and stormy night, the Black-Armored Army, arriving under the cover of darkness, quickly seized all the strongholds of the Fatil Empire's capital. Five thousand city guards were

no match for the Black-Armored Army. With the fall of the four city gates, the city burst open with a deafening

roar, officially marking the fall of the Fatil Empire's capital, a city that had remained unconquered for millennia since its founding!

Thus officially perished.

--- The Hall of Ancestral Worthies in the Fatil Imperial Palace, the place where the ancestral tablets of the Fatil Empire's emperors were enshrined,

now stood the current Emperor of the Fatil Empire, dressed in mourning attire, prostrating himself before the tablet of the founding emperor. His graying hair and beard, aged

face, and lifeless eyes were a stark contrast to the Emperor who, just three days prior, had been so spirited and capable of unleashing his fury.

"Your Majesties, I, your unworthy descendant Schnader Auguro Monarivich, bow before you all! The Fatil Empire has endured for

137 emperors, reigning supreme on the continent for over 3,400 years, yet now it has crumbled under Schnader's rule! I...I...I am sorry...for the painstaking efforts of my

ancestors ...Ah...Now that the capital is lost, I, Schnader, will never live on alone! I will never disgrace

the dignity of the Monarivich name!" The current Emperor of Fatil, Schnader Auguro Monarivich, finished speaking, a resolute glint in his eyes, and rose. He straightened his

imperial robes and turned to leave.

"Guards!" Seemingly regaining his former imposing manner, Emperor Schnader called out in a deep voice.

"Your Majesty!" A group of men in black rose from a corner, bowing respectfully to Emperor Schnader.

"The enemy has already captured the capital, hasn't they? How long until they reach the imperial city?" Emperor Schneider turned to the leader of the group of men in black and asked.

"Your Majesty, rest assured, with us here, we will protect you. For now, Your Majesty should retreat temporarily to prepare for a comeback and then deliver

a crushing blow to these invaders! Your Majesty..." The leader of the men in black respectfully addressed Emperor Schneider.

"Heh... Derry, you've served me for most of your life, always remaining in the background. Everyone says that Schneider's closest advisor is the Duke

of Tulip , but I know that my true closest advisors are you! You have served the Fatih royal family throughout history, loyal to every

Fatih emperor. I have never doubted your loyalty, especially now, when you are my last resort! Tell me,

how long until the enemy captures the palace?" Emperor Schneider sighed softly and said.

"Your Majesty... relying on the mechanisms set up by the previous emperors of the palace, plus the resistance of the suicide squad led by Chris, we can probably hold out

for about half an hour, enough time for Your Majesty and the princesses to escape." Derry choked up, although his face was always covered by a black veil, the tears glistening in his

eyes showed that he was very excited.

"Half an hour... um... should be enough... You, two of you, go and protect the eldest prince Eric as he escapes from the palace, and go to the west to find my

brother the loyal and brave Prince Emerson. The rest of you, help me gather all the concubines, and um, prepare the wine of ecstasy." Emperor Schneider said calmly.

"Your Majesty..."

"Go quickly, Derry, this may be the last time I order you as the Emperor of the Fatil Empire. Do you intend to disobey?"

"Your Majesty... Your subject... obeys!" Seeing that he could not persuade Emperor Schneider, Derry had no choice but to obey and leave.

The Blissful Wine, reserved for the Fatilian royal family, was used to execute members of the royal family or high-ranking officials and generals who had committed capital crimes but had rendered meritorious service. The wine possessed

a unique fragrance and a sweet, almost cloying taste. After drinking it, one would fall into an extremely blissful hallucination, simultaneously losing all life force and

dying in ecstasy, with a smile on their face, hence the name "Blissful Wine."

The Xuande Hall of the Fatilian Royal Palace.

His Majesty Schnaud sat high on his throne, dressed in his most magnificent royal robes, wearing an exquisite diamond crown, and holding a

platinum scepter symbolizing power. His face seemed meticulously made up, completely unrecognizable from his previous disheveled appearance.

Inside the hall, His Majesty Schnaud's concubines stood in rows according to their ranks, their expressions filled with hope, helplessness, and even

despair as they looked at the high-ranking man before them. Perhaps, in their eyes, this man was less their man and more...

He was just a man who could decide their wealth and status, their life and death.

With a creak, the doors of the Xuande Hall closed completely after Deli entered. Although the hall could

accommodate dozens of people, it still felt somewhat empty, though the atmosphere was rather oppressive.

His Majesty Schnard looked at Deli, who was the last to enter, and asked, "Is everyone here?"

"Your Majesty, there are seventy-three concubines of various ranks, all of them are present," Deli replied, bowing before the hall doors.

"Hmm, good." His Majesty Schnard nodded majestically, rose from his throne, and

descended . The sound of His Majesty Schnard's footsteps echoed in the empty hall, his heavy breathing sounding even more hesitant and helpless with each step.

"My beloved consorts," His Majesty Schnaud said, his voice trembling as he descended the jade steps and stood before his consorts

,

his eyes filled with apology. "Since Your Majesty's devotion to state affairs, I have neglected to get to know you all. To this day, many of us are strangers to you... I am ashamed... At this moment, I sincerely express my apologies to you." His Majesty stepped forward, his eyes brimming with regret.

"Your Majesty's heart is devoted to Fatil, what crime have you committed? It is we who are ashamed that we cannot share Your Majesty's burdens." A

middle-aged woman, though past fifty, still possessing a captivating charm, stepped forward and said to His Majesty.

"Empress..." A tenderness flickered in His Majesty's eyes.

"Empress is right, Your Majesty. Please do not blame yourself. We are fortunate to serve Your Majesty; it is our blessing. Your Majesty is busy with countless affairs

, devoting yourself entirely to the people of the Empire. We, your consorts, and our sisters admire you greatly and are proud to have such a good husband." Another young

and alluring woman stepped forward from among the consorts and said.

"Indeed, Your Majesty, please take care..."

"Your Majesty, we..."

For a moment, the entire Xuande Hall was filled with the soft murmur of women, various words of praise and flattery escaping the lips of the concubines.

However, in stark contrast to their ornate language was the fear and helplessness in their flickering eyes.

"Good! Good! Good!" Emperor Schneider exclaimed three times, his face flushed, clearly very excited.

"Today, I will drink and revel with my beloved concubines! Bring the wine!" Emperor Schneider, his face rosy, abruptly ordered Deli, who

was guarding the hall's entrance.

"Yes! Your Majesty! Bring the wine!"

Following

Deli's command, several men in black carried the prepared wine of ecstasy, filing into the hall and approaching the concubines, each carrying a tray filled with it.

"Come, my beloved concubines, let us drink this cup together." Emperor Schneider took a cup of wine and addressed the concubines.

"Thank you, Your Majesty!" A hint of sorrow flashed across the Empress of the Fatil Empire's eyes. As she accepted the wine glass, she gently wiped away a tear from her eye, instantly regaining her composure as she thanked His Majesty Schnard.

As the Empress of the Fatil Empire and His Majesty Schnard's first wife, she couldn't possibly be unaware of the meaning behind this wine. However, her ability to understand it instantly and accept it with equanimity reflected her magnanimity and wisdom. ---

Of course, an empire can only have one empress, so it's impossible to expect every concubine to be as sensible as the empress, or as magnanimous as her. This is because...

"Your Majesty, spare my life! Your Majesty... Your Majesty, I'm willing to serve you like a slave, but I beg Your Majesty to spare my life! I beg you, Your Majesty, for the sake of my service, even if I haven't rendered any great service, please spare my life, Your Majesty..." The first, alluring concubine seemed to remember something, suddenly kneeling down and kowtowing to Emperor Schneider.

"My beloved concubine, what is this? Today I wish to drink myself into oblivion with all my beloved concubines. Can't you grant my wish?" A hint of murderous intent flashed in Emperor Schneider's eyes as he spoke gently.

"Your Majesty... spare my life... Your Majesty... spare my life..." The alluring concubine continued to kowtow, repeating these four words over and over.

"Hmph! It seems you weren't truly with me after all, were you...?" Emperor Schnaud suddenly stepped forward, kicking the alluring concubine to the ground, pointing his platinum scepter at her as he angrily berated her.

"No... Your Majesty... no... Your Majesty... I am willing to... to be with Your Majesty... willing to die for Your Majesty... willing..." The alluring concubine rose from the ground and prostrated herself at Emperor Schnaud's feet, trembling as she clung to his legs.

"Oh? Is that so? My beloved concubine is truly willing to be with me? Good! Good? Very good! Come. Drink this cup of wine!" Emperor Schnaud bent down and gently stroked the alluring concubine's hair, revealing a beautiful and slightly seductive face, though her forehead was red and swollen from the force of her earlier kowtows, with a trace of blood, making her appear tragically beautiful.

"Come, drink it, my beloved concubine!" Emperor Schnaud gently brought the wine to the concubine's lips, speaking softly.

"Your Majesty...Your Majesty...Spare me..." The alluring concubine's once beautiful eyes were now filled with terror, like a little dog begging for its life. She shook Emperor Schnader's leg, pleading. ---

"Oh...it seems...you don't want to drink...what you said just now was just to appease me...is that it...Very well, then I'll help you!" Emperor Schnader's eyes flashed with murderous intent. With a "clang," he smashed the wine cup in his hand on the ground, shattering it into pieces. With a "clang," he drew his sword and, under the terrified and incredulous gazes of the concubines, beheaded the alluring concubine in one stroke.

Blood splattered everywhere, like a strange painting, sketching a silent tragedy in this thousand-year-old hall.

"Thump, thump..." Like a ball rolling on the ground, a beautiful head rolled all the way to the center of the concubines, a pair of large eyes staring wide open. It seemed like fear, it seemed like relief, it seemed like resentment…

“Ah…”

“Don’t scream!”

Several screams rang out in Xuande Hall, but under His Majesty Schnard’s furious shout, they were all silenced. The most timid concubines even covered their mouths with their handkerchiefs, afraid that their screams would lead them down the same path as their sisters.

“Is there anyone else who doesn’t want to drink?” His Majesty Schnard’s furious voice echoed in the silent hall.

Gasping. There was nothing but gasping; the heavy breathing of dozens of people reverberated throughout the hall.

--- “Well… since no one doesn’t want to drink, then drink it all!” His Majesty Schnard picked up another cup of blissful wine and raised it to the concubines.

“Come, come, come, I’ll drink first!” His Majesty Schnard downed the wine in his hand in one gulp.

"Your Majesty, I toast you!" Empress Fatil, seeing His Majesty Schnaud drink the ecstasy in one gulp, raised her own cup, her voice trembling. She then drank it down as well, though the tenderness in her eyes remained unchanged.

"Good! Good! Good! Truly worthy of being my Empress! Truly worthy of being my first wife! Come, my beloved consorts, drink your fill too!" A glistening tear flashed in His Majesty Schnaud's eyes as he stepped forward and gently took the Empress's hand, a rare tenderness appearing on his face, which was pale from anger.

"My ladies, His Majesty and I have already drunk some wine. Do you still doubt His Majesty?" The Empress turned to the concubines, her dignified face radiating a majestic and noble glow.

"Yes... do you still doubt... my intentions... do you still doubt that I would harm you? Haven't the Empress and I drunk any?" Emperor Schnaud roared.

Seemingly frightened by Emperor Schnaud's roar, or perhaps because the bloody scene of the sister who had resisted lying on the ground was still vivid in their eyes, the remaining seventy-odd concubines, except for a few who were stunned and frozen in fear, all drank the wine in their cups.

"Good, good, very good! Haha... my beloved concubines... haven't you seen many things you never thought you'd see in your lives? Haha..."

"Hehe..." " Hehe...

"

"Haha..." ---

After a few breaths, the effects of the Blissful Wine began to take hold, and the concubines were also caught up in some thoughts that had been buried deep in their hearts.

For a moment, the entire hall resounded with giggling laughter, while on the ground, the alluring concubine's corpse still lay, the undried blood contrasting sharply with the laughter within.

"Your Majesty... Your Majesty... Wherever you go, I will accompany you... Your Majesty... You've lost weight... I deserve to die. I haven't taken good care of you... Please forgive me, Your Majesty..." The Empress, also lost in her most beautiful illusion, leaned against the powerful energy within her, barely maintaining a sliver of clarity. After placing the Empress on a dragon pillar, he walked towards the concubines

who hadn't drunk the ecstasy wine.

"Are you all so afraid of death? Tell me, are you really so afraid of death?"

"Your Majesty, we are not afraid of death... we really are not afraid... it's just..."

"What do you mean 'just'? Since you are not afraid of death, you should drink the wine of bliss and ascend to paradise with your sisters, instead of living a life of ignominy here. Think about it, if the city falls, what kind of treatment will you, as the concubines of the Emperor of the Fatil Empire, receive? Do you really think I am so heartless as to kill my own wife? Dying now is better than dying in torment and humiliation later, understand? Come, drink this cup of wine!" Emperor Schnader said, somewhat agitated.

"Your Majesty, spare us! Your

Majesty, spare our lives!" "Your Majesty!" "If you don't drink, you would rather be humiliated than die! You bunch of bitches, you all deserve to die! You all deserve to die! I will send you to paradise!" Emperor Schnader's eyes grew redder and redder, until finally they became blood-red with madness. He suddenly raised the sword in his hand and, amidst the pleading and helpless eyes of the concubines, slashed down fiercely!

"I'll kill you all! I'll kill you all! I'll teach you to be cowards! I'll teach you to be cowards! Die! Die! Die!" Emperor Schnader was now somewhat frenzied. His sword was stained with blood. Several concubines lay scattered on the ground, their bodies stained red with blood. Each concubine's face was filled with resentment!

Struggling to maintain his composure amidst the beautiful illusions created by the wine, Emperor Schnader used killing to preserve a last vestige of clarity. He wiped the bloodstains from his face with his blood-stained imperial robe, glanced around the hall, and saw that all the concubines, except those he had personally killed, including the Empress, had died in bizarre ways, bleeding from all seven orifices, yet their faces bore genuine smiles.

"Burn them," he muttered, then turned and walked unsteadily towards the Hall of Sages.

Black-clad Deli gestured to his subordinates and followed behind Emperor Schnader. He also walked towards the Hall of Ancestral Worthies.

"Has the Crown Prince been sent out?" As if he already knew Derry was following him, Emperor Schnader asked without turning his head, standing at the entrance of the Hall of Ancestral Worthies.

"Yes, Your Majesty, the Crown Prince has been sent out by two skilled men. I believe he will arrive at the territory of the Loyal and Valiant King in a few days," Derry, following behind Emperor Schnader, replied. "Good," Emperor Schnader nodded and entered the Hall of Ancestral Worthies.

"Ancestors, your unworthy descendant Schnader will soon join you. In paradise, I am willing to accept any punishment. I will not let the enemy enter the palace even a step. I will disappear from the continent with this palace. Ancestors, rest assured, I have left a bloodline for our Monarivich. Ancestors, your unworthy descendant Schnader has come to pay his respects!"

As Emperor Schnader turned to a blood-red gem on his scepter, the entire Fatil Palace suddenly seemed to be engulfed in a vast sea of fire. The symbol of power of the Fatil Empire, which had dominated the continent for thousands of years, was thus annihilated in the flames!

Chapter 309 Although

the Helen Fatil Palace was destroyed by fire, the residents of the Fatil capital city were no longer concerned with such matters.

Compared to their own lives, these so-called gossips or unusual phenomena seemed insignificant. The city's residents

no longer harbored any thoughts about the Monarivich family, who had ruled Fatil for over three thousand years, and no longer fantasized that some heroic

figure would emerge from the palace to save them from their misfortune.

After all, white-horse heroes only appeared in the mouths of bards.

Outside the Fatil capital city, in a spacious

carriage , Emperor Qin Feng of the Great Qin Empire was calmly sipping tea with his eyes closed. Although he had only been emperor for a short time,

he possessed the true dragon energy of the First Emperor and had cultivated the essence of ancient Chinese martial arts, so an unparalleled imperial pressure could

be felt . ---

Beside Qin Feng lay a beautiful woman dressed in white, with delicate eyebrows, phoenix eyes, and cherry-red lips.

(Dear readers, please don't misunderstand; this woman was impeccably dressed and not…)

"Is Fatil finished? Is it really over…?" The woman in white pursed her lips, trying hard not to let a single tear fall from her phoenix eyes. Looking out the

carriage window at the distant Fatil capital, now engulfed in chaos, she finally couldn't help but let a glistening tear fall.

"Isn't it good that it's over?" Qin Feng put down his teacup. Playfully toying with a jade thumb ring in his hand, he spoke

without raising .

--- "Is this how you repay me? Is this your gift to repay my life-saving grace? Is this the repayment you, the Emperor of the

Great speak of?" Qin Feng's words seemed to ignite the woman in white's anger. She abruptly turned around, her phoenix eyes wide with fury

, and roared at Qin Feng.

"How dare you be so disrespectful to His Majesty!" The carriage curtain was lifted, revealing two heads without helmets, their hair simply

wrapped , shouting at the woman in white.

"It's alright, you may leave!" Qin Feng waved his hand calmly to the two Qin guards with his eyes closed.

"Yes, Your Majesty!" The curtain was drawn back, and the carriage returned to its previous oppressive silence. Only a

luminous pearl the size of a pigeon's egg on the carriage ceiling emitted a faint glow.

"What, don't you like my gift?" Qin Feng finally opened his eyes, two beams of light

shooting out like lightning, illuminating the entire dark carriage. The dazzling light even made the luminous pearl on the ceiling pale in comparison.

"You...I..." The woman in white was clearly startled by the illogical scene just now, but she quickly regained her composure,

only lowering her head. She no longer dared to meet Qin Feng's gaze, and her tone of voice undoubtedly weakened considerably.

"If someone destroyed your country and then said it was a gift to you, do you think you could accept it?" the woman in

white said, pausing for a moment. Although she didn't look up, her words contained dissatisfaction, even resentment, towards Qin Feng.

"Your father treated you like a commodity, forcing you to be with someone you didn't like. Don't you hate him,

Princess Lunlun?" Qin Feng's eyes flashed, then slowly closed again, asking calmly.

"I hate him, but I don't blame him. As the saying goes, the most ruthless are those in the imperial family. As a princess of the empire, from the moment I was born, I

knew I couldn't make decisions based on my own whims like some of my peers. As a father, using his

daughter to win people over certainly chills my heart, but as an emperor, betrothing a princess to the son of a high-ranking official

is a common occurrence. I, Helen, am not the first, nor will I be the last," the woman in white said calmly, as if she were discussing something completely unrelated to

herself . "

But the empire I protected with my entire life's happiness was reduced to ashes in a single thought of yours... You, what cunning you are!

Everyone on the continent thought Yanhuang City was your stronghold, and the Holy See even gathered the armies of almost every country on the continent to besiege it, but no one

knew that the Great Qin, one of the four great empires, was also under your control! Taking advantage of the weakened military strength of other countries, you launched a full-scale attack, sweeping all before you

. Heh, compared to Fatil, the current situation of the Izumo Empire isn't much different, is it?" Princess Helen paused and continued.

"You are very clever," Qin Feng said without denying it.

"Unfortunately, this cleverness only became apparent afterward. Congratulations, Your Majesty the Emperor of Great Qin. In the near future, you will be

the sole emperor of this continent. Today you captured me, do you want me to submit to you and become your slave? Or do you think I'm beautiful and want to

possess me? My Emperor Qin Feng?" Princess Helen's face flushed slightly, and a hint of allure flashed in her beautiful phoenix eyes, revealing

a charm as she looked at Qin Feng.

"Helen, I have never forgotten the time you saved my life when I was in danger. I have never intended to disrespect you.

The Fatil Empire has accumulated over three thousand years of history, and although it still appears prosperous

, you, Princess, are well aware of the crises and problems hidden beneath this prosperity. As the saying goes, 'No destruction, no construction,' the many nations of the continent need an opportunity to escape the

increasingly serious crisis. And this war is precisely such a good opportunity." Qin Feng slipped the ring back onto his thumb, raised his head

, and looked at Helen sincerely. "

Oh? Since Your Majesty Qin Feng has such good intentions, then what do you mean by destroying Fatil and Izumo?" Princess Helen's

flirtatious expression vanished, replaced by a serious look as she looked at Qin Feng and asked.

"I am a human being. My first priority is to ensure the safety of myself, my family, and my friends, and to guarantee their chance of survival!

This time , if Fatil and Izumo hadn't harbored greed and sought to kill me and my friends, then Fatil and the other nations wouldn't have

been so easily conquered by me. Princess, you forgot to mention one thing: it's not that I, Qin Feng, want to destroy them, but that they want to destroy me!" Qin Feng

said with a faint smile.

"I admit, what you said does make sense... Then, what about what you said earlier about giving the nations a chance to escape the crisis?

" Princess Helen was silent for a moment, then sighed softly and asked.

"This time, I will take this opportunity to eliminate some of the old nobles and their power. The remaining wealth and power vacuum... I'm sure you understand this better than I do,

Princess . Also, your brother, the First Prince, has been sent to the Loyal and Brave King in western Fatil..." Qin Feng

said calmly.

"Sent to my uncle? That's good, that's good. My uncle has always been the one who loves my brother and me the most..." Princess Helen

said with a sense of relief, as if a great weight had been lifted from her heart.

"Heh... If your father, His Majesty Schnard, were still alive, if Fatil's army hadn't been so heavily mobilized for the Holy War

, perhaps your uncle would still be your uncle, and would still care about you and your brother as before. But now your father Schnard is dead,

Fatil's capital has been captured by me, and almost all the troops that maintain your rule have been mobilized. Tell me, what would the ambitious and loyal Prince, who holds a large army and has no troops or power, only able to make empty promises, do in the face of a desolate

imperial prince?"

Qin Feng's lips curled into a mocking smile, as if trying to seduce him, and he spoke slowly.

Princess Helen, who had initially seemed relieved, grew paler and paler, biting her

lower lip until it bled. The faint trace of blood on her lip gave her a melancholic air. She uttered a few words through gritted teeth:

"Kill your lord and seize power?" ---

"Of course, that's just my guess. Perhaps the Loyal and Brave King is truly a loyal man, capable of fulfilling

his duty . However, killing your brother wouldn't benefit him. On the contrary, if he could be imprisoned and his name used to gather

the remaining Fatil forces across the land, hehe, then in the end..." Qin Feng didn't finish his sentence, instead taking a sip of his tea, his eyes flashing with an inscrutable

light as looked at Princess Helen.

"Tell me, what should I do?" Princess Helen, being a woman, had already shown remarkable composure amidst the chaos

. Now, startled by Qin Feng's words, she was completely at a loss.

"It's simple. Gather the remaining forces and fight your uncle on equal footing. The stronger your power, the less likely your uncle will dare

to act rashly Understand?" Qin Feng's lips curled into a sinister smile as he spoke softly.

"Yes." ---

"And the most elite force of the Fatil Empire hasn't been wiped out yet. This force is key to whether you can control the situation in Fatil,

and it's also crucial to your brother's life. If it falls into your uncle's hands, then..." Qin Feng didn't finish his sentence, but the meaning

was self-evident.

"Which force?" Princess Helen, who had developed a kind of dependence on Qin Feng, asked.

"Heh, think about it carefully. As a princess of the Fatil Empire, don't you even know which force is the empire's most powerful?"

"You mean... but they're participating in the Holy War. I'm afraid..."

"Then you can wait to collect your brother's corpse."

"I... okay, I'll try."

Chapter 310

The news of the fall of the capital of the Fatil Empire spread like wildfire across the continent within three days.

The Black Armor Army, which had suddenly appeared and was so different from the armies of other nations, was hailed as a force of legend. Its ferocious fighting power, swift attack speed, and unpredictable marching speed

instilled fear in the monarchs of various countries. After all, no nation on the continent dared to claim victory over the Fatil Empire; even

other empires could only maintain a level comparable to Fatil.

Inside the allied forces' command tent beneath Yanhuang City. ---

“Captain Stephen, the morale of the 200,000-strong Golden Tulip Legion, the elite force sent by the Fatil Empire to participate in the Holy War,

is currently very unstable. They could easily desert. My lord, what do you think we should do?” The saintess Vivian, dressed in a long robe,

asked the handsome young general seated in the main seat, her head bowed.

“Hmm…this news does indeed affect us…but things are still under control…By the way, have you found out

the origins of those black-armored soldiers?” The handsome young general (hereinafter referred to as Stephen, the leader of the 100,000-strong angelic legion that descended from the divine realm)

frowned , then asked with a faint smile.

“No, none of the spies we sent out to gather information have returned, so we currently lack detailed

information about that suddenly appearing black-armored army,” Vivian replied, shaking her head.

“I see, well, then…” Stephen was about to say something when he was abruptly interrupted by a voice from outside the tent.

“Report…Your Highness…there is urgent military intelligence…”

A faint hint of annoyance flashed across Stephen’s face, but he quickly regained his elegance and composure,

nodded , and the next moment, his figure disappeared from the command tent.

Vivian, expressionless, stepped forward and sat down in the commander's seat, calling out to the outside of the tent,

"Come in." ---

"Hoo hoo... Greetings, Your Majesty the Holy Maiden..." A scout from the allied forces entered the tent and bowed to Vivian.

"Speak, what urgent military intelligence is there?" Vivian asked calmly.

"Holy Maiden... the Black Armor Army has reappeared..."

"Oh? Which country did they wipe out this time? Ort? Hill? Or someone else?"

"It was... it was... the Izumo Empire!"

"What?" Vivian, who had been calm the moment before, suddenly stood up, a strange light flashing in her eyes as she stared at the scout

below , as if trying to discern the truth of the news.

"When was this news received?" After a long pause, Vivian slowly sat back down and asked calmly.

"I received the news two days ago. Five days ago, the Black Armor Army swiftly annihilated the Fatil Empire. Four days ago

, before the Izumo Empire even received the news, they appeared in Izumo City, the capital of the Izumo Empire. The number of soldiers is unknown, but

half were captured. Not only that, but all the ministers of the Izumo Empire in the capital

were also captured. It can be said that the entire Izumo Empire has fallen into the hands of the Black Armor Army..." The scout swallowed hard and poured out everything he knew

like beans, finally looking at Vivian with a hesitant expression. In the end, he didn't say anything.

"What else? Don't hide anything, just say it all at once." Vivian frowned and said.

"According to my estimation... the southern part of the continent... the land... has probably all... fallen into... the hands of the Black Armor Army..." The scout

looked at Vivian's increasingly grim face and said softly. "

Hmm... I understand... You can go now... Remember... Never tell anyone this... Otherwise... you should

know ..." Vivian's beautiful eyes flashed with a sharp light as she looked at the spy.

"Clang!" With a thud, the spy drew his knife, shoved it into his mouth, and twisted it. A look of intense

pain , and he let out a few hoarse "ooh-ooh" sounds from his throat. Then, he spat out half of his tongue, mixed with blood

, which bounced on the ground like a fish out of water before falling silent.

"Ooh-ooh~~~" The spy's eyes were full of pleading. He whimpered at Vivian, but because half of his tongue had been twisted off,

he couldn't speak.

"I didn't want you to hurt yourself... Sigh... Never mind... You can go now..." A hint of pity flashed in Vivian's eyes, and a

milky-white . She tossed it forward, and it slowly fell into the spy's mouth. The bleeding stopped instantly, and the wound healed at a visible speed.

"Waaah~" The scout bowed gratefully to Vivian and turned to leave the command tent.

"What a clever man... Although he lost half his tongue, he saved his life. Trading half a tongue for a life, it's worth

it..." Stephen's voice came from inside the command tent. As if he had just disappeared, his imposing figure appeared inside the

tent in the next instant, shrugging at the tent flap.

"My lord... what do you think... we should do now..." Vivian stood up from her seat and asked Stephen. "

Hmm... Right now, we need to figure out where these Black Armor Army soldiers came from... Hmph, we've expended so much manpower and resources

to finally achieve this situation. Once we break through Yanhuang City, the era of our Holy See's rule over the entire continent will begin! We

finally managed to draw the armies of all the other nations, but unexpectedly, this suddenly appearing third party has taken all the benefits.

All our hard work has been for nothing! I want to see who these mysterious Black Armor Army soldiers are! How dare they

set on us!" Seeing the fruits of their labor stolen by a group of unknown origin, Stephenel grew increasingly angry,

his handsome face contorted into a bizarre expression.

"Hmm... That wallflower in Yanhuang City needs some work overtime... We must take Yanhuang City before news of the Black Armor Army conquering the entire southern continent

spreads !" A fierce glint flashed in Stephenel's eyes as he gritted his teeth and said.

“The Black Armor Army…” Vivian nodded and asked.

“The Black Armor Army? Hmph… Since your human spies can't gather any information, then… just send a small squad from the Angel Legion to

investigate ! The Black Armor Army… soon the veil covering your heads will be lifted, and then, hmph…” Stephen

turned around, the terrifying aura in his eyes making even the Holy Maiden Vivian uneasy.

“Yes, Lord Stephen!” Vivian nodded.

Although the allied forces of various nations were always commanded by Vivian, and although the divine realm always claimed Vivian as the supreme commander of this allied force, secretly…

However, the purpose of sending Stephen, a twelve-winged demigod with a powerful background even in the divine realm, to the mortal realm was self-evident. "Send down the order: martial law for the entire army! Anyone who dares to discuss military matters will be executed without mercy! Also, I need to obtain the defensive deployment map

of Yanhuang within two days. You will be responsible for supervising these matters. I will go and scout out the movements of the Black Armor Army. We will split up!" Stephen said calmly, his words brooking no argument. " Yes , Lord Stephen!" --- Inside a tent of the Fatier division of the Yanhuang City Allied Forces. "General, this matter is absolutely true. We must make a decision. If we don't, our Fatier Empire is finished!" A Fatier general pleaded with a middle-aged general seated at the head of the table. The generals inside the tent all appeared quite young, clad in full silver knight's armor, except for a golden tulip embroidered on their chests —the emblem of the Fatier Empire's most elite force—the Golden Tulip Legion! "That's right, General! The Papacy clearly knows the news, yet they're deliberately blocking us from access. This is simply outrageous! We, the Fatier Empire, have spent countless resources on this holy war, deploying almost our entire military force. Otherwise, how could those Black Armor Legion have succeeded in their sneak attack?" Another general from the Golden Tulip Legion stood up and addressed the general seated at the head of the table. "General..." "General..." "General, just give the order! Our Golden Tulip Legion numbers two hundred thousand! Are we afraid of the Papacy? We don't want to be slaves of a conquered nation !" "Yes, General! We are the most elite force in the Fatier Empire. We represent the pride of the Fatier Empire. We refuse to be slaves of a conquered nation! " A murmur of discussion filled the tent. "Shut up! Sit down!" The general in the main seat finally couldn't withstand the pressure from his colleagues and snapped the order. Glancing at them, he said with a mixture of helplessness and resentment, "I know how you all feel. I'm a Fatilian Seeing this happening in my homeland, I desperately want to go back! But I'm not just a Fatilian, I'm your commander! Go outside and look at the allied forces' formation. Do you think you can escape? Even if you can, how many can you kill ? What can those few people bring to Fatil?" The generals who had been so impulsive earlier exchanged glances, finally lowering their heads in shame. "Then... General... what should we do?" After a long pause, one of the generals asked softly. "Wait!" In a secluded spot within the allied forces beneath Yanhuang City , three heavyweight figures —Copol, commander of the Golden Tulip Legion of the Fatil Empire; Steno, commander of the Flying Dragon Knights of the Izumo Empire; and Popor, commander of the Medusa Legion of the Mehes Empire—were anxiously waiting outside the tent. Since the appearance of the Black Armor Army, which led to the fall of the capitals of the two great empires and the complete loss of southern China, the Holy See had intensified its surveillance of these three elite armies. The supreme commanders of these three legions had to be extremely cautious. However, thanks to the God of Light—no, damn the God of Light!—these three commanders probably cursed even the God of Light's ancestors to the eighteenth generation. Finally, they found time to meet and brought each other some truly shocking news. First, in Fatil, Princess Helen, disguised, managed to infiltrate the allied forces and find Kopol. She explained the situation in her homeland to him and analyzed it for him. Fortunately, Kopol was a loyal general and immediately swore allegiance to Princess Helen. Next, in the Izumo Empire, the third prince, also disguised, infiltrated the allied forces and found Sterno, the commander of the Izumo Dragon Knights, demanding that he urgently lead his troops back home to rescue the captured emperor and other members of the royal family. The envoy sent by the Mehes Empire was a eunuch. After Qin Feng's earlier outburst, the Mehes Empire was arguably the weakest of the four great empires. The Mehes emperor, upon hearing that Fatil and Izumo, both more powerful than Mehes, had fallen to their capitals, panicked and immediately dispatched his trusted eunuch, ordering the 200,000-strong Medusa Legion participating in the Holy War to return home immediately to assist in the defense of the capital. Upon receiving this latest news, the commanders of the three legions immediately realized the crisis at hand. Finally, an opportune moment was chosen for a meeting, leading to this tripartite summit. While the events described above seem complex, they actually took only two days. Inside the Winged People's Residence in Yanhuang City, in the secret chamber of the Winged People's Chieftain, the Chieftain stared at the shadowy figure hidden in the darkness, silent but deep in thought. A faint, oppressive atmosphere filled the air. "Chieftain, the higher-ups are very dissatisfied with the progress of your task. They require you to obtain a complete map of Yanhuang City's troop deployments within two days. This matter concerns the vital interests of your entire clan; I'm sure you understand this better than I do. I reiterate: God is merciful, showing boundless tolerance to any subjects who abandon darkness for light. However, God is also stern; for those who remain obstinate or unrepentant, God will unleash immeasurable punishment! Chieftain, time is of the essence; we cannot delay any longer!" the shadowy figure said with a touch of fanaticism. "Of course, it is an honor and pride for our Winged Race to follow in the footsteps of the gods. I will do my best to fulfill your orders. However, as you know, since the last meeting, all the races have been very wary of me, and extremely secretive about each other's affairs. I myself am finding it quite difficult to cope. If you truly require this, I have to question the validity and correctness of this order!" the Winged Race patriarch said confidently. "There is not much time left, Patriarch. Two days. I can only give you two days. If you cannot obtain the military deployment map of Yanhuang City within two days, then your Winged Race can expect to be destroyed along with Yanhuang City! I await your good news!" After the shadowy figure finished speaking, just like last time, he disappeared into the secret chamber, leaving the Winged Race patriarch, with a playful and peculiar expression, alone in the secret chamber in silence. --The night was cool as water. In the darkness, Yanhuang City resembled a beast crouching, awaiting its prey, silently waiting in the shadows. Suddenly, a dark figure moved through the night like a gust of wind, a spirit of the night itself. The figure stopped at the Grand Marshal's Mansion within Yanhuang City, cautiously observing the surroundings. Then, a pair of wing-like appendages extended from its back, flapped in the air, and in the next instant, it entered the mansion. The night returned to its previous tranquility. About fifteen minutes later, a dark figure suddenly soared into the sky from the Grand Marshal's Mansion, like a large bird spreading its wings. Immediately, alarms blared, and a bolt of lightning, as fast as a venomous dragon, shot out from within the mansion, striking the dark figure in the air and quickly catching up!

The dark figure in the air let out a muffled groan, twisting at the last moment to dodge the fatal blow. Even so, a spray of blood fell from the sky.

Immediately afterward, the entire Yanhuang City went into martial law, with squads of elite soldiers from various races deployed to the main streets for thorough patrols.

Inside the secret chamber of the Winged People's Residence in Yanhuang City.

"Congratulations, Chieftain! Congratulations on successfully obtaining the military deployment map of Yanhuang City! With this, the Winged People's rise to power is just around the corner! Don't forget my recommendation then…hehe…" the dark figure said to the Winged People's Chieftain with a hint of flattery and arrogance.

However, the Winged People's Chieftain remained silent, coldly watching him.

"Uh…this…um…how is the Chieftain's injury…I know a little healing magic, I might be able to take a look…" the dark figure, having been rebuffed, chuckled awkwardly and continued.

"Ahem... No need for your trouble, Your Excellency. My old bones can still hold up. But I hope Your Excellency and Your Majesty will keep the promise you made to the Winged People!" The Winged People's Chieftain coughed a few times, secretly wiping away a trace of blood from the corner of his mouth, his eyes somewhat dim as he spoke.

-- "That's... that's right, Your Excellency, rest assured. I swear in the name of the gods that I will ensure the interests of your Winged People! Rest assured! This... um... the military defense distribution map of Yanhuang City... um... I wonder if it would be convenient for me to take it back, Chieftain?" Upon hearing this, the shadowy figure quickly pointed to the sky and swore an oath.

"Ahem... um... this... is the military defense distribution map of Yanhuang City. I'll take it back to you, and I hope you will keep your promise! Ahem..." The Winged People's Chieftain took out a magic scroll containing a strong magical aura from his robes, coughed a few times, and said.

"Oh...oh...don't worry, I'll hand it over to the master properly! But, Chieftain, your injuries..." The dark figure snatched the magic scroll from the winged human chieftain's hand, a smug glint in its eyes, but it still feigned concern before offering a greeting.

"Ahem...you're stronger than me. Of course, if you want to test how powerful Catherine's spear, now infused with the power of the Phoenix, is, you're welcome to try..." The winged human chieftain, however, showed no mercy, speaking sarcastically.

"Uh...this...um...it's getting late...I'll go and report soon...that's...um...Chieftain...you can rest assured..." the dark figure said somewhat disheveledly, then vanished from the secret chamber.

"Ahem... The bait has been cast, but I wonder when the fish will bite?" After confirming the shadowy figure had indeed left, the winged chieftain in the secret chamber straightened his back, his earlier serious injuries gone, his white beard and eyebrows furrowed, and he muttered to himself.

The secret chamber returned to its previous silence and oppressive atmosphere.

"My lord, this is a map of the military defenses within Yanhuang City. I went to great lengths to bring this map out, hoping it will be helpful to your grand plan!"

Inside the allied army's command tent below Yanhuang City, the angel legion commander, Stephen, sat high on his throne, with Saintess Vivian standing beside him. Below, the shadowy figure who had appeared and disappeared mysteriously within Yanhuang City fawned, handing forward the magic scroll obtained from the winged chieftain, speaking with a hint of self-satisfaction.

"Oh...not bad...completed within the allotted time...very good...hmm...I've remembered your loyalty. Keep up the good work. Hmm, I'm short a divine servant, I'll keep one for you. Come back after Yanhuang City is breached!" Stephenel said casually, hesitatingly weighing the magic scroll in his hand.

"Thank you, sir...oh, no, my lord! Yanhuang City is under tight surveillance right now, I must return. My lord, I once again wish you a resounding victory and that you will take Yanhuang City in one fell swoop!" The shadowy figure was extremely excited upon hearing this, and it took him a while to calm down before speaking to Stephenel.

"Hmm...go back...continue monitoring...inform me immediately if there is any news!" Stephenel said calmly, then waved his hand, signaling the shadowy figure to leave.

"My lord, is this distribution map reliable?" Vivian asked after the shadowy figure disappeared into the command tent.

"Hmph, of course he's unreliable. Do you think Catherine is a pushover? She can't even detect an insider making trouble right under her nose? This idiot thinks he's so great, but he doesn't know that everyone else just sees him as a tiny, insignificant insect!"
