To be honest, what the original poster said is true. I've had hemorrhoids before, and although I didn't have surgery, the pain was worse than death. A friend of mine had a similar experience, and his condition was even worse than the original poster's. Even now, if I were in a surgical ward or a similar one, I'd break out in a cold sweat. I had to take care of my friend during those days; it was so horrific.
