These things cannot be imagined without the experience of life. If life were all logical inevitabilities, there would be no ups and downs. Chinese writers often prefer happy endings, but I don't think so. I'm more moved by life's twists and turns that ultimately leave one sighing with emotion, like the "butterfly transformation."
