The main characteristics of a bar scammer are: 1. They will proactively ask for your phone number. 2. They will proactively request to meet. 3. They are not interested in your situation and basically don't want to know anything about you. 4. They will insist on meeting at the location they choose. If the fourth point is met along with any of the previous points, it can be basically determined that it is a bar scammer 99% of the time.
