Weird men on the bus

    page views:1  Publication date:2023-03-24
I encountered a pervert on a bus back in my hometown. It was summer, and I was wearing a sleeveless dress, sitting in the last row by the window. A man got on and moved to sit next to me, squeezing me into the back. I was talking on the phone with a friend, and he kept moving closer, deliberately rubbing his hand against my arm. I quickly finished my call and glared at him, but he only moved closer. I pushed him away, but he still wouldn't stop, so I got angry, stood up, and told him to move aside so I could get out. When I got to the aisle, I realized there was only one seat in front of him, and since it was a long way and I didn't want to stand, I sat down in front of him. Unexpectedly, he started groping me from behind. In a fit of rage, I turned around, pointed at him, and yelled: "You son of a bitch, try touching me again! Are you crazy?!"
Everyone on the bus looked at us, and he stopped and sat down quietly.
Ladies, don't be afraid of these kinds of lewd people on public transport! Stand up for them! If necessary, take action!
Speaking of which, I've actually done it once.
On a sleeper bus back to my hometown, I was lying in the last berth. There was an older man, around 50 years old, who was originally lying diagonally opposite me. When he saw me coming, he moved to the smaller bed opposite me and started smoking. I was annoyed and told him, "No smoking on the bus!" He smiled sheepishly and said he couldn't resist, just one cigarette. I insisted, "Smoking is not allowed on the bus! The driver already said so!" Only then did he go to the restroom to put it out.
Later that night, everyone on the bus was asleep, including me. It was summer, and I was wearing a long skirt. The bus had air conditioning, but it was still a bit hot under the blanket. I was sleeping with one leg sticking out of the blanket when I suddenly woke up. Still half-asleep, I saw someone standing in front of my bed, his hand on my leg, not quite touching my thigh, but a wave of nausea washed over me! I angrily slapped his hand hard. He was clearly startled. I pushed him away and yelled, "Damn it! What do you think you're doing?!" He didn't dare say a word and went back to lying diagonally opposite me. After that, I didn't dare sleep again, and the man never came back to the bed opposite me when we arrived at our destination.
Later I found out that the man was on the bus with his wife, and she was sleeping next to me!
Also, speaking of sleeper buses, I heard last year that a girl was raped by several men in the middle of the night on one of those buses, and afterwards, sleeper buses on that route were banned. I don't know if it's true or not. But my experience makes me think it might be true. There were quite a few people on that bus, only a few empty seats at the back. Imagine if there were only a few people on the bus, and they were all men with malicious intent—it would be really dangerous for a girl to sit there!
In short, don't be afraid of anyone who molests you on the bus, and don't be polite—fight back! If you can use your hands, don't use your words. You might be afraid of him, but he's actually more afraid of you. Think about it: if a girl is touched or groped on the bus, she's probably afraid of being stared at, being talked about, or for other reasons. But I want to say: what are you afraid of? How many people on that bus know you? How many people do you know? You'll probably only see the people on the bus once in your life. If you're sexually harassed, you can yell at them and even hit them. They'll have no choice but to run away. What else could they possibly say or do? You'll feel better after yelling and hitting them, and the other person won't dare to do anything further, otherwise they'll just take advantage. And if you're too embarrassed to be on the same bus as these people after yelling and hitting them, just get off at the next stop and wait for the next one!
Anyway, I usually yell at these kinds of people, and if I could hit them, that would be even better.
Actually, after I've yelled at and hit them away, I always feel like I haven't yelled or hit them hard enough. For a long time afterward, I think back: "If only I had hit them harder, or yelled at them harder!" But now, looking at everyone's answers, I realize that very few people actually dare to speak up, and even fewer dare to actually hit them. I hope everyone can be braver and prevent these kinds of people from ever doing this again.
