Why does the mentality of cuckoldry develop? Why do they enjoy seeing their women with other men, experiencing both physical and psychological excitement? I believe the reasons require explanation from a professional psychologist. I will simply write down my own thoughts on the causes of cuckoldry, which I believe stem from castration anxiety. What is castration anxiety? You can search it online. Castration anxiety was first used by Freud to describe boys in the Oedipal stage, who mentally compete with their fathers for their mothers, yet fear that their fathers will use their power to castrate them, thus losing their chance as men.

Simply put, it's about being castrated by someone of the same sex, thus losing the possibility of being a man. On one hand, this is shameful; on the other hand, it means permanently severing sexual ties with their loved ones. It also prevents them from feeling powerless or incompetent in certain aspects. In today's society, theoretically, it is still a male-dominated society. Protecting what is important to a man is a man's duty and a source of his "value." However, in today's society, men also bear immense pressure from various burdens, such as cars, houses, parents, children, and jobs—all weighing heavily on their shoulders. When a man loses control over certain aspects of his life, he experiences feelings of powerlessness. Prolonged powerlessness can lead to anxiety, and he may realize that someone might defeat him and take his wife away (or perhaps his wife will go to someone else). For some, the constant anxiety is unbearable; it's not so much about death itself, but the period of waiting for death is the most painful. They may choose to make their anxieties a reality, sometimes by creating illusions in their minds, sometimes by subtly driving away their partner. But for some, this is when they begin to transform into cuckolds, a process that can take anywhere from one to two months to three to six years. Some discover this psychology today and act on it tomorrow. Ultimately, however, the psychology of cuckolds is closely related to childhood. Childhood is a starting point, and the values and pressures formed as adults are the explosives that detonate that point. Cuckolds generally want to render their partners useless, meaning they want to realize their childhood anxieties about castration. This is my view on the formation of cuckoldry and my observations based on my interactions with this group over the years.
