They said they would come to Lijiang on October 1st and asked me to meet them there on the 2nd. I transferred 1000 yuan to them for plane tickets when they said they were booking, and then another 600 yuan for a hotel room on National Day, which they said cost 506 yuan per night. On the 2nd, I drove eight hours from Sichuan to the hotel in Lijiang. They then told me I needed to transfer the remaining three nights' room fees, their food expenses, and the money for buying pregnancy tests before we could meet. I suddenly realized I'd been scammed. The scammer's ID number was 865989. In the future, everyone should be wary of people who talk about money; they are definitely not good people. Since everyone had this idea, buying some gifts after hanging out together is not a problem. I considered calling the police this time, but then I felt it wasn't worth the trouble and stress over 1600 yuan. I can only say that I'll give the 1600 yuan to this person named "Lv Meng" on WeChat for funeral expenses before the Spring Festival, hoping he has a peaceful journey to the West at the end of 2020. I won't see him off. I also want to remind everyone to verify the identity information, phone number, and WeChat ID of anyone you meet.
