Chapter Ten: Intense Gunfight

The crisp ringing of the telephone in the dead of night always startles. I

phone.

Whoever was calling so late meant something unusual was happening.

I reached out, and Green's bag flew to my side. I pulled out the phone, and

the caller ID read "Mom." The phone, having rang for quite some time, had groggily woken

even the four little beauties who were sound asleep . 　　Green was sleeping to my right, so I gently pulled her up, letting her snuggle against me on the bed.
