He came to my room and knocked on the door. I was still a bit groggy from being woken up, so I opened the door and went back to bed. The room was dark because I had turned off the lights and drawn the curtains. I estimated it was around 5 pm. He walked to my bedside and sat down quietly. To be honest, I was still sleepy at first, but having someone sit next to me like that instantly woke me up. But I was still feeling a bit unwell because of the fever. Then we looked at each other in the dimly lit room. I asked him what he wanted to eat. I knew there were good places to eat at the Colorful Plaza (this was where I had dinner with a client the day before, and since I wasn't familiar with the area, this was the only place I knew). He said anything was fine, which left me speechless. We were silent for a while, and then I asked him why he brought me medicine. He replied simply because I was sick and alone out there with no one to take care of me. I suddenly felt so pathetic, thinking about how I had been alone out there for almost half a month. When I was sick, no one took care of me. As I was thinking about this, he suddenly leaned down and kissed my forehead unexpectedly. I was stunned for a moment, then he said, "You seem to still have a fever." I said I'd been feeling very cold and couldn't sweat. He then said he had a solution, but I had to agree, something rather traditional. I thought for a long time but didn't know what it was, so I said I could try. Then I saw him take off his clothes and go to take a shower. I wondered if I was being silly. After his shower, he came back and pulled me into his arms. His embrace was warm. I felt much warmer. Then I slowly fell asleep. When I woke up again, I was woken by a phone call. Later, we had sex for the first time. My fever subsided. That night, because a client was coming over, we didn't even have dinner before parting.
That night, I worked overtime until 3 a.m., and he stayed up with me on WeChat until 2 a.m. He said he would come over and take care of me after work the next day. Suddenly, I felt that having someone take care of me was quite nice, so I agreed.
