On Tuesday, I'm meeting the so-called "couple" I've been chatting with here for a while. (It was my carelessness; I didn't do enough research beforehand.)
The other party asked me to find a place, and I thought that would reduce the likelihood of a honey trap or a scam, so I lowered my guard. They chose one of the two places I found. I thought I'd take it myself. Then they said they'd take it, which would be safer for me, since they were a couple. I was somewhat surprised; they seemed to be thinking of me, so I relaxed even more. Then I transferred the room fee to them.
The other party then asked me if I had any props or uniforms. I had some props but no uniforms, so he said he would go to a physical store to buy them and show me the bill when he got back, and I would pay for those as well.
The next day, I was a bit late because I had something to do, and I was constantly asked where I was on the way. They said they had bought test strips and would test me later, so everyone would feel at ease. They also ordered takeout and were waiting for me to come over so we could eat together. I was really flattered; they were so thoughtful! Then I told them I would pay for it. They sent me the amount.

That's when the unexpected happened. I should have calmed down and thought things through, but because I was in a hurry, I didn't carefully consider the loopholes.

From the very beginning, when transferring money, I suggested adding them on WeChat so I could transfer directly via WeChat. They disagreed and wanted me to transfer via QQ Wallet. I tried a few times and succeeded. So, the first two transfers were via WeChat to QQ Wallet. On the third time, when it came to the cost of the test strips and takeout, QQ blocked me from transferring money, which confused me. I tried several times without success, and since I was almost there, they finally couldn't resist and sent me their WeChat payment QR code. However, I still couldn't transfer the money. Afterwards, I guessed the other party had probably been blacklisted by WeChat. To receive the money, they sent three WeChat payment QR codes while I was on the street, but I couldn't transfer any of them successfully.

Then, posing as a woman, they asked me to top up her phone number. I was already downstairs, and they seemed to be dawdling, insisting I top up first, but I did. After topping up, they told me they were taking the elevator to pick me up.

About a minute later, this previously enthusiastic person suddenly disappeared. I waited foolishly downstairs for over half an hour, but no one showed up. I knew I'd been scammed, but I still asked, unwilling to give up, why hadn't I seen them yet? Still, no one answered. Finally, I asked if they had blocked me, and they replied that they had to go home because of family matters…

I was practically petrified. If they were really a couple, I wouldn't stop them if they had family matters, but to leave without even telling me is just ridiculous. So, I can only say I was too careless at the time and didn't calmly think through the whole process.

Writing this, I haven't really organized my thoughts properly; I just wanted to get my thoughts out. I admit I was scammed; it's my own fault. I lost over a thousand yuan in total, consider it a lesson learned. To the

single men on the forum, although I was scammed, there are still good couples on the forum who can genuinely connect with you. But you must keep your eyes open and distinguish between the real and the fake. Losing money is a small matter, but the time and energy wasted is truly devastating. To
