Chapter 99 Sister-in-Law

Luoxia Mountain is located northwest of Shangdu, about a day's journey away. The mountain is high and densely forested, with layers of floating clouds and

verdant greenery. Looking from afar, the colorful sunset in the west resembles a dragon drinking from a stream, falling upon the mountaintop.

Luoxia Mountain is not an isolated mountain; its western foot connects to a vast mountain range, at the end of which

lies the continuous Abula Mountain Range. Therefore, geographers are accustomed to considering Luoxia Mountain as

a peak of the Abula Mountain Range. In reality, Luoxia Mountain is still hundreds of miles away from the Abula Mountain Range.

The beautiful sunset scenery of Luoxia Mountain left Wu Tianjiao and his group in awe. Visiting Luoxia Mountain was not Wu

Tianjiao's or the Wu sisters' original intention, but rather Jian Hou's suggestion, saying that the scenery of Luoxia Mountain was beautiful and, since they were in Shangdu

, they shouldn't miss it.

The Sword Queen's visit to Luoxia Mountain had its reasons, but whatever her purpose, Wu Tianjiao wouldn't

object . Coupled with the thirteen newly recruited blonde female guards, he wasn't in a hurry to rush to Fengcheng. He figured the Empress Dowager

and the others had already arrived in Fengcheng, and they couldn't catch up anyway. They might as well stay in Shangdu for a while,

enjoying the scenery.

Wu Tianjiao waved his arm, and the group headed towards the mountainside of Luoxia Mountain. However, this time he didn't walk at

the front of , but followed behind, walking with the female guards, including Shura Bi.

After being examined by the Sword Queen and the Three-Sound Saintess, it was preliminarily determined that Shura Bi and the others had blocked meridians, a

result of the effects of the Dissolving Power Powder. Not only were their meridians blocked, but their martial arts power was almost completely gone.

Although Shura Bi and the others' martial arts power had been dissipated by the Dissolving Power Powder,

it wasn't impossible for them to regain their martial arts skills and start cultivating from scratch. Therefore, the Holy Mother of Divine Sound proposed her idea: since the main meridians of the female guards were blocked,

they could try a unique method of circulating true qi, focusing on the eight extraordinary meridians, or even dividing their bodies into

several parts and circulating true qi in each part separately, thus avoiding the effects of the main meridian blockage.

If this method of circulating true qi succeeded, they might be able to

gradually open up the main meridians by using the true qi cultivated in the eight extraordinary meridians. This was a task that no one else could help with; they had to do it themselves. So, along the way, under the guidance of the Sword Queen and the Holy Mother of Divine Sound,

the golden -haired female guards tried to apply the true qi routes they had previously cultivated

to the eight extraordinary meridians.

The results were unexpectedly good; their bodies did not resist this method of circulating true qi. Their

method of circulating true qi through acupoints without a dantian was even able to replenish lost

true qi when it was depleted. Therefore, they were actively trying to develop a complete and effective method of true qi cultivation without

any side effects .

They came to a flat area halfway up the mountain, where lush green bamboo grew. From afar,

red walls among the bamboo grove. Following Jianhou, the group ventured deeper into the bamboo forest along a gravel path.

After about a quarter of an hour, a tall, lush clump of jade bamboo appeared ahead. Turning past the bamboo grove, the view

suddenly opened up . A round, pointed-roofed temple came into view. Jianhou went straight in, followed by Wu Tianjiao and the others

.

Entering the temple, they found themselves in the main hall. Unlike typical temples, it was not cluttered; there were no numerous items or heavy

curtains. The entire hall was almost empty, the walls devoid of any patterns, as white as

snow in the deep mountains.

Inside the hall was only an altar, upon which rested a life-sized wooden sculpture. The sculpture

had distinct and, though exquisitely beautiful, was solemn and dignified. Upon seeing the statue, Wu Tianjiao couldn't help but tease the Holy Mother Leiyin: "

Sister Leiyin, she looks just like you!"

His comment resonated with everyone, who agreed that the statue bore a resemblance to the Holy Mother Leiyin. However, the Holy Mother of Thunder Sound

lacked the solemnity and dignity of the wooden sculpture; her beauty contained a hint of pride and allure. There was another difference:

the wooden sculpture had wings on its back, while the Holy Mother of Thunder Sound did not, because she was not a true god and therefore lacked

divine wings.

The Holy Mother of Thunder Sound and the others stood quietly before the wooden sculpture, gazing intently ahead. Suddenly,

a figure rose before the altar, attracting the attention of Wu Tianjiao and the women. In fact, they had noticed her upon entering,

but because she was kneeling before the statue, they hadn't disturbed her.

It was a young female cultivator dressed in white, with long, flowing hair, about sixteen or seventeen years old, exceptionally beautiful,

her eyes like a deep, still pool, devoid of any emotion. Her absolute indifference made one feel that even

standing in the bustling city, she was detached from worldly affairs, devoid of desire.

The Sword Queen asked, "Where is your master?"

The young cultivator shook her head slightly.

"Do you know who I am?" the Sword Queen asked again.

The young cultivator gazed at her for a moment, then nodded, indicating she knew.

The Sword Queen smiled and asked, "Did your master leave any instructions?"

The young cultivator shook her head again. The Sword Queen sighed and asked one last question, "Then do you want to come with me?"

The young cultivator turned back to gaze at the statue, making no move to indicate anything. The Sword Queen knew that meant she had agreed,

because the young cultivator's gaze towards the statue was filled with the sorrow of parting.

The Sword Queen turned to look at Wu Tianjiao, who was idly chatting with Wu Liushuang. This

man who is growing up! The Sword Queen sighed inwardly, "He will dominate my life, my everything."

Her gaze shifted to the statue in the hall, then settled on the young cultivator's back, thinking to herself, "Although

our grudges have been forgotten, I still have to drag you into this, starting with your disciple!

Perhaps she is the weapon you left me to test him."

Having left the bamboo forest, it was time to decide where to go. Wu Tianjiao, in any case, had a go-with-the-flow

nature . Neither the Sword Queen nor the Holy Mother of the Three Sounds spoke, while the blonde female guards looked at Wu Tianjiao with expectant eyes.

Wu Tianjiao thought for a moment and finally decided to return to Shangdu City first. He needed to prepare various necessities, as well as carriages and

horses. Shangdu to Fengcheng was thousands of miles away, and most of the time would be spent in the wilderness, so all

living supplies needed to be prepared, especially since there were more than a dozen women in their group who were temporarily unskilled in martial arts

.

On the way back to Shangdu, the Sword Queen told Wu Tianjiao why she had come to Luoxia Mountain, but the answer

was vague. She only said that she came to Luoxia Mountain to find an old friend who was both an enemy and a friend, with whom she had a past conflict.

Unfortunately, the friend was now traveling, but Wu Tianjiao was determined to retrieve what the friend had taken, so he was temporarily taking her disciple with him.

His presence was meant to lure her out. Although Wu Tianjiao felt these words were full of flaws, he didn't dare question them.

Besides, he was always careless; any questions left unasked would be forgotten in the blink of an eye.

Because their journey was imminent, their return to Shangdu slowed down. It had taken a day to come,

but two full days to return. Seeing the tall arrow towers of Shangdu in the distance, Wu Tianjiao laughed, "We're

back in this city of lost ears."

"How can this be the city of lost ears?" Wu Xuanshuang asked, puzzled.

"Because a few days ago, many people here lost their ears," Wu Tianjiao chuckled. He led the way towards

the city gates of Shangdu. But just as he was about to enter the city, he saw a familiar back and was startled.

Coincidentally, the person behind the back also turned around to look at the large group of well-dressed men and women approaching.

"Eh! It's Xiao Yuehua!" Wu Tianjiao and the Wu sisters were both astonished. None of them had expected

Xiao Yuehua to appear here.

Xiao Yuehua was both surprised and delighted. She ran over quickly, then stopped, lowered her head, and for some reason,

her face was very red.

Wu Tianjiao approached and asked, "Sister-in-law, what are you doing here?" He was Xiao Yuehua's son-in-law, and

nominally her brother-in-law, so Xiao Yuehua was naturally his sister-in-law.

The words "sister-in-law" made Xiao Yuehua blush even more, but she didn't answer. Wu Tianjiao asked anxiously, "

Has something happened in the capital?"

Xiao Yuehua shook her head repeatedly, and after a long while, she uttered, "I've come to find my sisters!"

No one would believe her if she said this. Judging from Xiao Yuehua's expression, it was clear she wasn't being honest.

The sisters she referred to were naturally Xiao Yunhua and Xiao Qionghua. However, everyone knew that Xiao Yuehua was the illegitimate daughter of Prime Minister Xiao, and her

relationship with Xiao Yunhua and Xiao Qionghua wasn't very deep, in fact, there was practically no sisterly affection between them. Of course, Wu Tianjiao and the others didn't believe

Xiao Yuehua when she said she was looking for her "sisters."

Furthermore, even if Xiao Yuehua wanted to find Xiao Yunhua and the others, she shouldn't have appeared in Shangdu

. She had set off from the capital, passed Beitian City, and if she wanted to go to Fengcheng, she could have taken the shorter route to the west, instead of detouring to Shangdu. Wu Tianjiao only

went to Shangdu because he reached the Xuantian Temple on Ziyun Mountain. He

was forced to do this to avoid assassins. Xiao Yuehua, however, had no need to take such a roundabout route. Clearly, she was most

likely there to pursue Wu Tianjiao.

The Sword Queen and the Holy Mother of the Three Sounds, standing not far away, found it amusing. They couldn't understand how this

young man, Wu Tianjiao, possessed such charm and popularity with women. This girl, clearly several years older than him, was

blushing in his presence.

However, only the blonde female guards showed thoughtful expressions, because they all felt there was

something . Only one place could nurture this unique,

radiant glow in a woman. But unfortunately, they found Xiao Yuehua unfamiliar.

Wu Tianjiao led a large group of women to Yunxiao Tower once again. This time, one private room was clearly not enough for

so many people, so he had the manager remove all the partitions between the three private rooms, connecting them into one extra-large room

to accommodate his guests and his group of beautiful women. In truth, he only had one guest:

his sister-in-law, Xiao Yuehua.

Of course, the conversation took place while enjoying a delicious meal. The Sword and Saber Twins and the female guards huddled together, ordering

dishes they hadn't tried before, knowing Wu Tianjiao was a "nouveau riche." The Sword Queen, the Three-

Sound Saintess, and the silent young cultivator the Sword Queen had brought back only sampled fruit. Only the Wu sisters stayed

by Wu Tianjiao's side, conversing with Xiao Yuehua.

From Xiao Yuehua, Wu Tianjiao and the others heard a shocking piece of news, which horrified everyone. Wu Yunshuang

reacted most violently, exclaiming in astonishment, "The Asuras have invaded?"

Wu Tianjiao was also greatly surprised, frowning as he asked, "So, the war between the Asura Empire and our Divine Eagle Empire

has broken out again?"

"Yes!" Xiao Yuehua said solemnly.

On August 6th, 1676 of the Holy Calendar, under

the instigation , the Asura Empire mobilized an army of 700,000, claiming to be a million, and launched an attack on the Divine Eagle Empire in three routes.

This invasion was even more terrifying than the one in 1653 of the Continental Calendar, and the Asura army

seemed determined to destroy the Divine Eagle Empire.

The wild, fierce, and incomparably savage Asura cavalry swept eastward from the western grasslands like locusts,

shaking the mountains and rivers and trembling the earth...

Upon hearing this news, Wu Tianjiao and the Wu sisters couldn't help but gasp, their expressions grave. Sword Queen,

Holy Mother of the Three Sounds, and others were all figures of the martial world, not particularly concerned with national affairs. No matter how brutal the war,

it seemed distant to them, hence their indifference. "No wonder..." Wu Tianjiao suddenly realized. He had been wondering why he hadn't encountered any more assassins

lately , and Xiao Yuehua's explanation made sense now. It turned out that the Asura Empire and the Divine Eagle Empire had gone to war, and Wu Wudi was busy with the battle, unable to spare any attention for him. "This is truly a misfortune for the people, but a great fortune for me, Wu Tianjiao!" Wu Tianjiao smiled bitterly, shaking his head and sighing. With the war breaking out and the Asuras invading, it was his duty as the Empire's Grand General to rush to the front lines, command the battle, and strategize . In this way, Wu Tianjiao at least didn't have to worry about Wu Wudi harming him in the short term. However, war is never a game. Although Wu Tianjiao had never experienced war, he could imagine the mountains of corpses and rivers of blood. No matter the outcome, it was always the common people who suffered. Could the Divine Eagle current strength, sustain such a war? Wu Tianjiao had serious doubts. When Wu Tianjiao pressed Xiao Yuehua about her reasons for leaving the capital, Xiao Yuehua stammered. Fortunately, she quickly came up with a reason: "Recently, news has spread from Dayuan City, the capital of Tiantu County, that the 'Sun and Moon Five Elements Wheel,' one of the Seven Divine Artifacts of the Martial World, has fallen into the hands of the Rainbow Mercenary Group, the largest mercenary organization in Dayuan City." "You want the 'Sun and Moon Five Elements Wheel'?" Wu Tianjiao asked with a sly smile. "No, I just wanted to go and see it, to broaden my horizons," Xiao Yuehua said, blushing. "I'm feeling bored at home. This trip is to relax. First, to find my two older sisters. Second, to travel the martial world. Third… I also want to go... "

"Warcraft Forest, let's try our luck and see if we can capture a monster cub!"

"Really! But looking into your eyes, you seem to be lying?" Wu Tianjiao smiled, then changed

the subject : "How is your mother?" Recalling his affair with Lady Nightingale at Princess Wude's residence, he couldn't help but feel

a surge of desire.

Xiao Yuehua didn't understand why Wu Tianjiao was asking about her mother. She glanced at him in surprise and said, "My mother is fine

! She originally wanted to come out for a stroll, but she couldn't because of her status!"

"That's right, she is, after all, the second wife of my father-in-law, how could she go out so easily!" Wu Tianjiao laughed,

"Little bitch, Sister Yunhua and the others are probably already in Fengcheng. If you want to find them, you have to go to Fengcheng.

Now that the war has broken out, the road to Fengcheng is even more dangerous. Thieves are everywhere, robbing and kidnapping, stealing money

and women. I'm not comfortable with you traveling alone, so you'd better come with us!"

Xiao Yuehua was more than happy to accept Wu Tianjiao's offer to stay. However, she now regretted

saying that the reason for leaving the capital was to find the "Sun and Moon Five Elements Wheel." What would she say if she saw Xiao Yunhua and the others in Fengcheng

?

Having asked all the questions she wanted to ask, Wu Tianjiao now had something to do to prepare for the upcoming journey.

Whether it was a premonition or something else, he left Xiao Yuehua at Yunxiao Tower for the time being, while he, along with the

Twin Swordswomen and the blonde female guard Shura Wall, left Yunxiao Tower and, after asking around, headed towards a slightly secluded street.

Wu Tianjiao and his group entered an inconspicuous little shop. There were no tables or chairs for customers,

and no one greeted them. Only a long table was placed on one side facing the storefront, behind which sat two people: a

burly-looking old man in his fifties, who was resting with his eyes closed; and a bright-eyed young man, who was yawning

and looked like he hadn't woken up yet.

Wu Tianjiao walked to the table, put down a bag of gold coins, and said, "I want to ask some questions."

The young man didn't even look up and asked, "Do you know the rules?"

"I've heard them," Wu Tianjiao smiled and said, "Pricing is based on quality."

"What do you want to know?" the young man asked.

"'Shura Princess' Shura Flying Phoenix?" Wu Tianjiao asked.

The young man shuddered. The middle-aged man beside him suddenly opened his eyes, his gaze sharp and unapproachable.

The young man asked, "What news do you want about her?"

Wu Tianjiao glanced at the tense Shura Bi behind him and said, "Is she dead or alive? If alive, where is she?"

The young man looked at the old man beside him, and after receiving a signal from him, answered, "Alive. Someone saw

her fight her way out of the encirclement during the Battle of Luoma Slope, protected by her guards. She has now returned to Shura Fortress

to recuperate ."

Wu Tianjiao pondered for a moment, then asked, "Ask another person, Shura Na, the captain of the guards under Shura Feifeng.

She and many Iron-Blooded Rouge female soldiers were captured by our army. Can you find out her whereabouts?" "

It will take time."

"How long?"

"A month."

Wu Tianjiao nodded: "These five hundred gold coins are yours." Then, he stepped back to Shura Bi's side and

asked her if she had any further questions.

Shura Bi shook her head, her eyes filled with both joy and anxiety. Knowing that Shura Flying Phoenix was still alive

and hadn't been captured by the Divine Eagle Empire's soldiers was incredibly good news for her. However, whether Shura Na was alive or dead

remained a knot in her heart, and she was still deeply worried about Shura Na's safety until this knot was untied. Just

as the young man was about to collect the gold coins, Wu Tianjiao suddenly asked, "Can I ask one more question?"

"Sure."

"Has anyone bought that information from earlier?" Wu Tianjiao asked.

The young man's face showed shock. But that was enough; Wu Tianjiao didn't ask any more questions. Just as he was about to

step out the door, a booming voice suddenly came from behind him: "Young man, I suggest you go to Dayuan City.

The winds and rains from all directions converge there; perhaps you can find the person you're looking for."

Wu Tianjiao paused for a moment, but finally went out anyway.

The sun was already setting, and the afterglow of the sunset shone on the triangular five-colored eagle flag fluttering outside the small shop

. Passersby couldn't help but glance at it, because they never knew when they might need it.

A sigh drifted on the wind from Dao Ji: "The Empire's Eagle Eyes truly have eyes and ears everywhere; even the movements of the Shura Empire are

under their control."

Although Eagle Eyes is an official agency, collecting intelligence from all sides of the continent, relaying messages, and serving the imperial court,

its agents in various regions also sell information for money. It can be said that with enough money, there's no

information that can't be bought from Eagle Eyes.

Upon returning to Yunxiao Tower, Wu Tianjiao immediately ordered everyone to prepare for their journey to Dayuan City. Initially, no one understood, but after

Shura Bi and the two sword maidens explained, they all agreed. Of course, the happiest among them was Xiao Yuehua.

They didn't linger in Shangdu, partly to reach Dayuan City as quickly as possible, and partly to

avoid any unforeseen complications. Therefore, they unanimously decided to leave Shangdu that very night.

It happened to be the middle of the month, a clear and bright moonlit night. Wu Tianjiao bought five carriages and twenty-six fine horses, and the group,

chatting and laughing, rode towards Dayuan City in the north.

On the way, Wu Tianjiao deliberately brought the Crimson Dragon Beast to the Sword Queen's side and asked, "Is she mute?"

The Sword Queen didn't know who he was asking and looked at him suspiciously.

Wu Tianjiao pointed to the carriage in the middle, and the Sword Queen immediately understood that he was referring to the young female

cultivator Han Qingxue that she had brought back. So she smiled and said, "Do you think she's mute?"

Wu Tianjiao hesitated for a moment and said, "Probably not, but why doesn't she speak?"

The Sword Queen didn't answer but asked in return, "Do you know about the 'Seven Tribulations' in martial arts?"

Wu Tianjiao shook his head.

The Sword Queen explained, "The so-called 'Seven Tribulations' refers to the seven stages passed down from the golden age of martial arts, used to measure a person's

martial arts From easiest to hardest, they are: Body Tribulation, Consciousness Tribulation, Intent Tribulation, Enlightenment Tribulation, Heart Tribulation,

Spirit Tribulation, and Soul Tribulation. Each tribulation represents a level of martial arts, and each leap into a new level signifies

a leap forward in martial arts. Han Qingxue is currently practicing the 'Intent Tribulation'—the silent meditation."

"Not speaking?" Wu Tianjiao's eyes widened. He found it unbelievable; could one really practice martial arts like that?

But the Sword Queen nodded, indicating that she was right.

The rumble of carriages echoed along the trade route from Shangdu to Dayuan City. Wu Tianjiao and his party had traveled all night, and

both men and horses were exhausted. As dawn approached, they chose a small hillside nestled against the woods and facing the water to set up camp and rest.

Wu Tianjiao had spent the entire night pondering the words of the Sword Queen the previous night. According to her, if the concept of "seven tribulations" truly

existed , how many had he overcome? Although he had diligently practiced the Dragon Elephant Divine Skill,

he was still a long way from achieving "mastery."

Recently, surrounded by beautiful women, Wu Tianjiao had long forgotten the importance of diligent martial arts practice, focusing only on seeking pleasure each day. But

the biggest problem wasn't even there. He realized he lacked the motivation to become

obsessed with a goal, like Han Qingxue, who had remained silent for years to achieve martial arts mastery.

"Where is my goal?" Wu Tianjiao earnestly asked himself.

Unfortunately, this question was interrupted by a large bird that suddenly swooped down from the sky. Indeed, that large bird

was a Dragon Eagle. Ever since passing Beitian City, the Dragon Eagle had been following Wu Tianjiao. Like Wu Tianjiao, it

loved freedom and often flew away, disappearing for days at a time. Fortunately, no matter where Wu Tianjiao

went , it always seemed to find him.

As soon as the Dragon Eagle landed, it circled Wu Tianjiao, sometimes even whipping up a gust of wind with its wings; it

seemed quite anxious. Wu Tianjiao noticed the Dragon Eagle's unusual behavior and jumped to his feet. The Dragon Eagle

cried out joyfully , flapped its wings, and flew into the air, leading the way. Wu Tianjiao had the Twin Sword Maidens, the Sword Queen, and the Three-Tone Saintess follow

him, and under the Dragon Eagle's guidance, they arrived at a canyon.

The scene before them was utterly gruesome; numerous corpses lay scattered throughout the canyon, torn flags and

shattered carriage fragments were strewn everywhere. Some of the bloodstains were still fresh, indicating the massacre had

occurred .

Wu Tianjiao and his companions were filled with rage and fury, but they didn't slow their pace. Several of them quickly entered the canyon,

carefully checking for survivors. What they saw filled Wu Tianjiao with rage.

It was clearly a merchant caravan, numbering about three or four hundred people, some even accompanied by servants and

women . The men, including merchants and guards, had all been killed. Many women's clothes were torn to shreds, their genitals covered in

marks of abuse. Some women, even in their dying moments, had their empty eyes wide open, seemingly questioning the gods

why they had been given such a tragic fate.

Wu Tianjiao felt a surge of murderous intent; he couldn't tolerate such brutal acts of rape. Although he had raped

many women, he had always been gentle and compassionate, never killing them. Heaven endowed

men protect women, not to abuse them.

"No one who commits such a crime is unforgivable!" Wu Tianjiao roared. Sword Maiden comforted him,

offering a few words of solace. Wu Tianjiao's anger gradually subsided, but something new appeared in his eyes—

the gaze of a murderer.

"These two seem to still be alive," Sword Maiden suddenly called out from afar.

Wu Tianjiao and the others rushed over, unexpectedly finding Han Qingxue there as well. She was taking the pulse of the wounded.

Wu Tianjiao's curiosity about her grew, now tinged with surprise. As far as he knew, pulse diagnosis was an exceptionally

profound technique, known only to experienced physicians, and often treasured and rarely passed on. He never imagined that Han

Qingxue would possess such a difficult medical skill.

After examining him, Han Qingxue, without even looking up, wrote on the ground: "The woman's heart was injured by a sharp weapon;

she is near death. The man has dozens of sword wounds of varying sizes all over his body; he has lost too much blood and is not far from death."

Wu Tianjiao found her words amusing, but he understood Han Qingxue's meaning.

Both injured were seriously wounded, but not beyond cure. It seemed Han Qingxue couldn't heal them immediately, hence

the ambiguous assessment.

"I didn't realize she was so cunning," Wu Tianjiao thought to himself.

Wu Tianjiao understood Han Qingxue's meaning, as did the Sword Queen and the Holy Mother of the Three Sounds. Their gazes

turned to Wu Tianjiao, their eyes questioning. Wu Tianjiao was secretly moved; he hadn't expected the Sword Queen and the Holy Mother of the Three Sounds to consult him on such a matter of saving lives

.

Wu Tianjiao nodded, signaling them to proceed with the treatment. Then, he ordered the Twin Sword Maidens to search the entire canyon

for any other survivors.

Immediately, the Sword Queen and the Holy Mother of the Three Sounds had the two injured sit cross-legged and began healing them with their internal energy. With their

profound skills, no matter how severe the injuries, even if someone was on the verge of death, they could pull them back.

About fifteen minutes later, a trace of color returned to the two injured people's pale faces, and their condition improved.

A moment , with a surge of internal energy from the Sword Queen and the Divine Sound Mother, the two wounded men coughed up blood. They remained

unconscious.

"Can't be saved?" Wu Tianjiao exclaimed in surprise.

The two men stopped their practice, and the Divine Sound Mother smiled slightly, saying, "They've been saved, but they've lost too much blood and

are now asleep."

Wu Tianjiao chuckled, scratching his head, feeling foolish.

Besides the two wounded men who had been saved, there were no other survivors at the scene. Wu Tianjiao summoned his blonde female

guard, and together they buried all the victims who had been left to rot in the wilderness. Then, without lingering, they

immediately set off in their carriages and left the canyon.

Wu Tianjiao believed the massacre was caused by the caravan's goods and was likely the work of thieves.

However, Wu Ling Shuang disagreed. She had been observing coldly and noticed that

although the women's valuable jewelry and personal belongings remained intact, which was clearly not typical of thieves

.

Moreover, she discovered a major discrepancy: the three or four hundred corpses of the caravan,

radiating outwards from the carriages, had a radius of only twenty or thirty feet; beyond that distance, there were no more bodies. This

meant that from the very beginning of the attack, they were completely surrounded and virtually powerless to fight back.

In her view, apart from the two people they had rescued, no one should

have escaped . Therefore, she deduced that the attackers of the caravan were a well-trained group, a group that fit this description

but not many others; most likely, it was an army.

"Whoever committed this crime is unforgivable," Wu Tianjiao said firmly.
