Speaking of my experiences on the community, I've encountered quite a few scammers who try to steal my photos and videos. So, I've developed the habit of exchanging a few photos before communicating. This helps avoid scammers. Several times, I sent them photos, only to be met with smaller versions of images found online – it was truly frustrating.
Last year, I chatted online with a couple from the same city. The woman didn't know, but the man was very willing to let me join. We agreed to meet at the entrance of a foot massage parlor, pretending to be old classmates we hadn't seen in years, and then be in the same room. If there was a chance, we'd go together. As a newbie, I was very excited about our first offline meeting. After dressing up carefully, we met as planned. Remembering that I was single, I offered to pay for the nearly 1000 yuan fee in advance. However, the woman wasn't happy about it, and we went our separate ways. We agreed to meet again another time, but the next day she disappeared.
There were also a few voice calls where I played our conversations beforehand, and she never spoke again. When I sent messages urging her, she would say she was too busy.
