My experience in making friends

We've had several friendships since 2003.
Due to work pressure, my spouse and I haven't had any activities since 2008, but we've never stopped researching and discussing things, and we've also been exchanging ideas with friends.
I remember our relationship started as a trio. The first time was in Shanghai, when my wife was working there and we were living apart.
There were also couples who met online, but overall I brought my wife along. This way, I could focus more and felt happier.
The best scenario seems to be: two couples plus one single man, or three men to one woman.
This is my experience with making friends.
