I finally convinced Lp to cooperate. We also arranged a meeting place. The next day, before noon, I asked Lp to arrive at the agreed-upon coffee shop early to wait for him. This was mainly because it was our first time together, and I was still nervous. Plus, Lp had repeatedly emphasized on the way there that we'd just go and check it out and be right back, so I wanted to arrive early to get a good spot and secretly observe him. If Lp didn't like him, I could leave immediately. Lp and I sat down, ordered some food, and waited nervously. About 30 minutes later, he called to say he'd arrived. Lp saw him come in and waved to him, getting up to greet him. He sat down opposite us. We started chatting aimlessly, making small talk. After a while, we finished eating, and Lp said she needed to use the restroom. I took the opportunity to send her a text asking how Lp's influence on him was. Lp didn't directly object.
