We searched online for a week but couldn't find anyone suitable. Either we didn't like the other person, or they were too young and wouldn't swap with us. Later, a male friend introduced us to a couple, so we added them on WeChat. They were from the same province as us, but not the same city, and lived quite far away.
After chatting, we felt we were both very sincere, so we video chatted. They were very open; we even undressed to check each other's appearance. The man on the other end was very experienced and shared a lot with us. They seemed to like us, and we thought they were okay too, so we decided to swap. We arranged for them to come to our house this Saturday night. To make it easier to stay in touch, we exchanged phone numbers. On Saturday morning, my wife told me to go to the market to buy groceries to entertain them and to ask the other party what they liked to eat. At noon, my wife texted me saying she had her period. I thought she was lying, so I called her to ask if it was true. She said yes. I had no choice but to call the other party to ask where they were and if they had boarded the bus. They said no. I said, "That's good, then you can't come because my wife has her period." The other party said they understood; their wife had also mentioned her period during their last swap, so this week's swap didn't work out.
We continued chatting, sharing our feelings. He said his wife had the same experience the first time, and that we should understand women; he really seemed like a good person. We finally agreed that they would come to my house next Friday. On Friday noon, they texted me to confirm if everything had changed, and I said no. At noon, I went to the market and bought groceries. They said they liked something light, so I bought some greens and went home.
