Yuanyuan and I were roommates in college, and we were best friends. We could talk about anything, from clothes to money, and we shared everything. But I never imagined we'd share each other's boyfriends. In our junior year, we wanted to rent an apartment (to save money, the four of us rented a two-bedroom apartment). We were very happy then, cooking for ourselves, going out together, attending classes together, and helping each other. This simple and happy life lasted for about four months. But it was shattered by an unexpected event.
Every New Year's Day, our class organizes a party and dinner. After dinner, we all drank some alcohol but still felt a bit unsatisfied, so we bought more food and drinks and went home to continue the fun. We drank, chatted, and joked around. Gradually, we got a little drunk. (The following is pieced together from our later recollections and may not reflect the true story.) For some reason, my husband and I started kissing each other. (For people our age, public displays of affection are quite normal.) Perhaps due to the alcohol, my husband started kissing me while also touching me. Yuanyuan and the other girl, initially just watching the fun, were influenced and started kissing too. Like a competition, our kisses became increasingly intense (those familiar with Harbin know that our houses are very warm in winter, around 20 degrees Celsius, so we dress very simply), and we even put our hands inside each other's clothes to caress each other. Oblivious to everyone else, we started undressing each other. Until the four of us started having sex. If it had only been like that, perhaps we would have just felt awkward. (Because Yuanyuan and I had a good relationship, we often kissed and touched each other, and we often shared a bed when we lived in the same dormitory.) This habit led us to kiss each other again, which acted like a fuse, igniting the desires of the men. My husband started touching Yuanyuan (my husband's name is Chen, and Yuanyuan's husband's name is Yu). Yu, not wanting to be taken advantage of, started touching me. Then it escalated to the point where we penetrated each other. We switched partners.
It was a chance event, yet it had a profound impact on us. I don't remember if I felt any pleasure at the time. And that marked the beginning of our year-and-a-half-long cohabitation.
