My becoming lovers with Ma Yanli was purely accidental.

Around mid-September 2003, two friends, Zhang Jie and Zhao Jun, and I drove to a friend's place in Donghai County where he owned a kiln. When we arrived, we bought some food and drinks at his kiln and met up with some of his local friends.

My usual alcohol tolerance is decent (6-7 liang of strong liquor), but that time we didn't use glasses, we used bowls (mainly because there weren't enough glasses at the kiln).
