The story begins after I graduated from my apprenticeship. Having not mastered the skills, I figured no place would hire me. So, I moved to a clothing production area in Haizhu District. My intentions were twofold: to practice my craft and to learn how to run a business. (Of course, the business was a failure.)
The renovations and equipment were finished, and on opening day, some of my junior apprentices came to celebrate. Even my goddess, Yi, was there.
Yi was a girl from western Guizhou, 172 cm tall, with fair and smooth skin, and a C-cup bust that was quite alluring. Among the hundreds of students in our class, she was considered quite beautiful. Many male classmates drooled over her. After class, she was always surrounded by men from all over the country. This was her source of pride.
I come from a rural area in the Wuling Mountains of northwestern Hubei. I won't go into how impoverished my family was; my parents brought us into this world, and that was enough. The rest was up to our own hard work. The phrase I heard my father say most often was, "The pot is full of food, not writing; being able to write your own name is enough." I graduated from elementary school with top marks and was admitted to the town's top middle school. Just as I was looking forward to middle school, my mother passed away. I began to help my father farm and practice archery. When I was a teenager, I heard on the radio about going south to work. When my father learned of my idea, he strongly opposed me leaving him. One moonlit night, I stole fifty crumpled yuan from my father and went down the mountain under the moonlight.
Among these students, I felt inferior. I wasn't handsome, nor did I have enough money to win over the girls. So, for the six months of training, I only went between the school and my dormitory. On weekends, the girls were taken to Baiyun Mountain by the handsome guys, while I had to practice in the classroom. Towards the end of the training, there were more people practicing in the classroom on weekends, including 'Yi'. Because I practiced more than them, I naturally knew more, and they would ask me questions. Of course, I was happy to demonstrate for them, until I graduated and won the Guangzhou regional championship.
On the opening night, there were about a dozen of us at dinner, and we drank a lot of various kinds of alcohol. Most of us were drunk and passed out, and everyone went their separate ways. 'Yi' stayed behind and was also a bit unsteady on her feet. It's quite a distance from Haizhu District back to Tianhe District, and she said I was too drunk, so I offered to take her home. I took a taxi to a hotel in Tianhe District, to the address she gave me. I helped her out of the taxi and asked her where she was staying. She pointed upstairs; it turned out she had been staying at this hotel for the past six months. When we entered, the staff greeted us, saying "Welcome back." Seeing how drunk she was, they didn't say anything and just helped me carry her to the tenth floor. After opening the door, the staff left. After helping her inside and lying down on the sofa, she started vomiting, all over her clothes and dress. I cleaned up the floor, but there was so much vomit on her clothes!
