2013 A real-life incident (Part 3)

Dear friends, I'm so sorry I didn't have time to update at the end of last year because I was very busy with work. I hope to finish telling you the rest of the story before the new year.
The second meeting was a few months later. I was in Hangzhou on business, and my wife also wanted to check out the Yan'an Road area for some nice clothes. On the way there, she sent me a few WeChat messages about our journey to Hangzhou. After arriving in Hangzhou, my brother called to say that dinner had been arranged for us and that we should have a good time for a few days.
My brother-in-law gave us the address. When we arrived, my sister-in-law was already preparing dinner for us. It felt very welcoming that they invited us to their home. My wife drank some water and then went to the kitchen to help my sister-in-law. My brother-in-law and I chatted about Hangzhou in the living room. It didn't feel like a stranger meeting me again; being at home felt like meeting long-lost friends. My brother-in-law was very hospitable, bringing out some good red wine for us to enjoy. During dinner, the four of us didn't drink much, but my wife and brother-in-law talked a lot. My wife enjoys shopping, and my brother, who is familiar with Hangzhou's roads, discussed it extensively. My sister-in-law and I just occasionally drank a little wine, and the four of us chatted together, completely breaking the awkwardness of our first meeting. At the small round table, we didn't try anything physical after our initial interaction; that would have felt strange. Instead, it fostered a stronger sense of camaraderie. After dinner, I wanted to rest early because I had things to take care of the next day. My wife, however, was quite happy and suggested we go for a walk by West Lake. Actually, she was more interested in looking at clothes in the surrounding area.
The four of us leisurely watched the fountain by West Lake. My wife and older brother walked behind, the older brother gesturing with his fingers to show my wife as we walked. That day, I was quite tired from driving and, thinking about things I had to do the next day, suggested we all rest. My wife, however, pulled my older brother aside and told us to rest while they went to the nearby shopping mall.
The West Lake felt especially quiet at night. I smoked as I watched my wife and older brother disappear from sight, while my sister-in-law fiddled with her phone. The two of them just sat there, leaning against their chairs, waiting foolishly.
My sister-in-law is a very thoughtful woman. She went to a nearby store and bought some drinks and snacks. The two of them chatted there.
After returning home, my sister-in-law and the others had already tidied up our rooms and told us to get some rest. The next day, everyone was busy, so we quickly washed up and went to our rooms to rest.
Lying in bed, I looked down and it was almost 10 pm, but my wife lingered beside me, telling me about the things she bought while shopping that evening. She also talked about how her older brother had helped her carry her things and showed her the way, saying she felt he was a really nice person.
