皇甫武吉冷笑道：“倪子雄，陈锋？不，朕应该叫尔等为人无双，摩侯罗伽！”
两人脸色一沉，倪子雄拱手道：“皇上，原本君要臣死臣不得不死，但吾等并不知道这人无双和摩侯罗伽是何来历，还请皇上明鉴！”
皇甫武吉冷笑道：“人无双啊，人无双，你聪明一世糊涂一时，哪有人在说自己家乡风貌时弄得跟写文章一般。”
倪子雄道：“皇上明鉴，草民只是想让皇上更好了解纶山，才尽量挑简练语言来叙说！”
皇甫武吉道：“你真当朕是傻子吗？若你真冤枉的早就跪在地上求饶了，哪来这么多唠叨废话，还不是想以言语的狡辩，让朕找不着你的证据，从而放你一马？”
“可惜朕是九五之尊，既然认定汝等乃昊天教之贼子，便不会放过！”
皇甫武吉冷冷地道，手掌一摆，示意刀斧手将两人拿下。
倪子雄哈哈一笑，真力忽然爆发，陈锋也随之迎合，提元凝气，准备拼死一搏，谁料功力凝聚到了一半立即消散。
皇甫武吉哼道：“别以为朕当着众大臣的面就不会下药用毒，尔等所喝的御酒早就下了散功粉，收拾汝等乱臣奸党，手段更要毒辣！”
人无双强行压下毒性，凝聚全身真元，誓做殊死一搏，只看他爆窜而起，掌灌雄力；摩侯罗伽也与之应和，祭起最强功力，只求最后一击。

人无双猛地瞪圆双眼，怒火迸射，正想开口叫骂，却被刀斧手抢先一步，用破布塞住嘴巴。
皇甫武吉冷笑道：“尔等趁着武林大会将手伸入江南，朕也可以借着科举之际，将汝等蠢材引出，来个虚实结合，端掉汝等狗窝！”
齐王带头齐声高呼：“皇上英明，万岁万岁万万岁！”
皇甫武吉拂袖道：“将这两个贼子打入天牢，十日后与鬼冥牙一同问斩！”
刀斧手得令，将两人绊了起来，押解下去。
末了，王公公又吩咐押解的士兵每日给两人喂食散功粉，这种药粉可以化去真气，软筋疲骨，叫人提不起力气，但却需定期服用，若不然药效一过，中毒者便会渐渐恢复过来。

皇甫武吉道：“不必，让昊天教之人夺取武状元已是朕的疏忽，既然朕犯了错，那便要承认，让下边的人选上来顶替，不过是欲盖弥彰，懦夫行径，所以朕决定今届武举只有榜眼！”

皇甫武吉哈哈一笑：“今天出了这么一件事，兆头甚是不好，那就这样吧，用喜事来冲冲晦气。”
群臣也为之一愣，这个时候还有什么喜事？“前些日子，皇后曾向朕提起，想替白将军做一桩媒。”
皇甫武吉笑吟吟地望着白翎羽，“我夏王弟有一独女，封号瑶映郡主，年芳十六，生得花容月貌，知书识礼，白将军觉得可好？”
白翎羽脸色微微一沉，拒绝也不是，同意也不是，顿时进退两难。
龙辉心里却是哭笑不得，这究竟是什么跟什么，堂姐娶堂妹，真是荒唐到了极点。
白翎羽暗叹无奈，只得说道：“微臣一介武夫粗人，只怕委屈了郡主。”
皇甫武吉笑道：“此事无妨，那小郡主最敬英雄豪杰，将军此等勇武猛将正是郡主之良配。”
白翎羽见推脱不得，便只好先答应下来：“微臣叩谢皇恩！”
皇甫武吉笑道：“好，待朕让鉴天官选一良辰吉日，让你们喜结连理！”
离开了皇宫，白翎羽闷闷不乐地朝自己的居所走去，而龙辉却在一旁作陪。
走了几步，白翎羽蹙眉道：“烦死了，这臭老头怎么硬要把皇甫瑶塞给我！龙辉你替我想想法子吧！”
龙辉强忍着笑，说道：“白将军，瑶映郡主国色天香，实在是你之良配！”
白翎羽气得柳眉倒竖，娇叱道：“姓龙的，你是不是想气死我！”
见他嬉皮笑脸的模样，白翎羽更是气得不打一处来，紧握粉拳：“我被气死之前也要先砸碎你这颗臭头！”
龙辉急忙好言相劝：“小羽儿，稍安勿躁，这一个月似乎并无婚嫁的日子，再说了，皇室婚嫁那会马虎，单是准备彩礼花轿也得花上十天半个月，所以时间还是充裕的，我们先想想办法，找个近机会把这门婚事给推走。”
白翎羽这才定下心来，两人顺着国运大街走去，街道中段，却见一座酒楼前围满了人。
龙辉望了一眼，只见门匾上写着“数论酒楼”四个大字，不禁暗自生疑：“这个名字也忒古怪了。”
他见门柱上贴着一张告示，上边如此写着：“小店东主喜数术，愿结交天下数术高手，故而在此留下三道数题，能解一题者可在小店随意吃喝一年，不收分文，能解两题者免费吃喝三年另赠白银千两；若三题尽解终身免费，另赠玉京城南大宅一座，外加黄金千两！”
“好大的手笔，这店家主人是谁，竟然如此豪爽？”
白翎羽也啧啧称赞道。
龙辉呵呵笑道：“在这京师里除了蝶姐姐这位女中豪杰，还有何人能又赠宅子，又送黄金的。”
白翎羽一愣，蹙眉道：“蝶姐姐这葫芦里究竟是卖什么药？”
龙辉道：“当日我曾跟她提过，想借科举的机会从各路才子中找出数术高手，集思广益，合力破解宫家那张曲谱。但我一直苦恼，该如何知晓那些人才是数术高手，最终还是蝶姐姐高明，一个重赏之下必有勇夫，用钱把这些数术高手钓出来。”
听得大家都在白淑妃一事忙碌，白翎羽心头不禁一阵温暖，但还是有几分疑惑，问道：“那为什么偏偏在今日贴出告示？”
龙辉道：“若贴得早，那些才子都忙着备考，也无心理会其他事情，若是贴得晚，那些落榜的才子恐怕已经离开京师，所以就选了今天来出告示，既不会影响众人科考，也不会漏掉其他人。至于那些中榜的秀才，在没有赐予官位前，他们都还需留在京师，而且历年安排官位都得花上一个多月，所以这一部分便不用担心，而且告示一出，这些中榜者也会按耐不住，过来解题。”
“喂喂，快把题目拿出来，本公子来解上一解！”
围观之人顿时按耐不住，不少人都要解题。
掌柜笑道：“诸位公子稍安勿躁，这解题也不急于一时。我家东主给了小人一道题目，算是给诸位一个开胃菜，只有能够解出此题，才能解那三道难题，而且今日的酒菜钱全免。”
“好好，别啰嗦，快些把题目拿来吧。”
掌柜微微一笑，令人再贴出一张白纸，上边写着——今有鸡翁一，值钱伍；鸡母一，值钱三；鸡鶵三，值钱一。
凡百钱买鸡百只，问鸡翁、母、鶵各几何？掌柜又说道：“诸位谁若有了答案，请走到小可身边，悄悄告诉我，莫要叫浑水摸鱼者听见了！”
过了片刻，人群中接连走出数个秀才，他们依次在掌柜耳边说出答案，掌柜微微一笑，命小二带他们进去款待。
看了片刻，龙辉拉着白翎羽走了过去，白翎羽微微一愣，暗忖道：“这小子也会数术吗？”
想到这里不由对他刮目相看了几分。
掌柜笑问道：“两位相公，也是来解题的吗？”
龙辉说道：“不是，我们兄弟肚肠饥饿，想到贵店吃些东西，也好顺便瞧个热闹，不知掌柜……”
掌柜陪笑道：“相公说的什么话，小店开门就是做生意的，虽说解题可以免费，但也没有生意上门不要的道理，快快请进！”
白翎羽险些没气晕过去，这小子果然除了打仗杀人外，就只会调戏女人了。
两人来到一张桌子上坐下，朝四周扫了一眼，发觉那些解出题目的秀才都坐在西面侧，而在东面的都是花钱进来吃喝的客人。
过了好一阵子，掌柜见无人能解那道“鸡翁”题，就走进来招呼那些解出题来的人。
掌柜命人从梁上放下一块白布，上边写着三道数题。
若说入门之题只是开胃小菜，那么这三道题可算是山珍海味，但这山珍海味也不是谁都能吃得下的。
这首道算题乃是计算水利堤坝，不但询问填土挖掘所用之量，还涉及河道运转，水流动向；而第二道又是第一题的延续，需得以第一题为基础，算出钱粮调拨，民夫劳役之工钱，可谓是难之又难，众人看得不住摇头，实在是无能为力第三题更是难上加难，此题涉及日月星辰斗转移位，既有天地生成解，又有天地已合之位，最后再推演天地未合之数，此题乃是由数术演化天文，千变万化，颠倒阴阳，可谓是算中绝算。
白翎羽低声道：“这些题目是谁出的，好像很难的样子。”
龙辉笑道：“是无痕出的题目，她身为盘龙圣脉祀嬛，不但要向天地祷告，占卜凶吉，还得从日月星辰的运行推算海风洋流的方向，指点渔民捕鱼的时机，避开海浪怒涛等灾祸，这数术便是最基本的法门。”
白翎羽噗嗤笑道：“这最后一题想必就是无痕的老本行吧，直接把天文拿出来，玄乎玄乎的，也不知道吓死多少人。”
龙辉和白翎羽每天都以不同的身份出现在数术酒楼，一连坐了两天都未见有人能解开这三大数题。
到了第三天，龙辉和白翎羽各自装成粗野大汉，在店里自斟自饮，却见门外走进两个人，朗声道：“掌柜的，听闻你这儿有三道数题，还说能解者赠千金万银，此事当真？”
掌柜笑脸相应：“两位客官请进，小店东主确实定了这么一个规矩。”
左边那生着一撮小胡子的男子笑道：“这豪宅金子，吾等也不稀罕，只是想见识一下这数题是如何个难解法。”
掌柜指着白布道：“数题就在上边，两位请看。”
右边那个花紫袍的男子凝神观望，过了片刻微微一笑：“这题吾能解！”
掌柜命人呈上墨宝，花紫袍男子拿起墨笔就在纸上写下答案，说道：“掌柜此结果可对？”
掌柜道：“然也，公子高才，果然解出了第一题。不知剩下两题公子可否能解？”
花紫袍男子扫了一眼第二题，苦笑道：“水里土木我倒是不惧，当这钱粮出纳却非我所长。”
小胡子相公笑道：“此题便交给愚弟吧。”
花紫袍男子笑道：“妙哉，贤弟常日统钱计粮，想必此题也难不倒贤弟！”
小胡子相公下笔解题，不消片刻也将题目解出。
掌柜喜道：“两位客官真乃高人也，小店言出必践，还请二位稍作片刻，酬劳一会便奉上！”
小胡子相公摆手道：“不必了，这两道题乃是吾等二人联手解出的，不算高明。而且这第三题，吾等也是无能为力，实在无颜收下这酬劳！”
掌柜道：“二位客气了，还未请教大名！”
花紫袍男子说道：“吾乃工部侍郎鲁昭。”
小胡子说道：“吾乃户部侍郎李泽。”
掌柜急忙命人捧上好茶，陪笑道：“原来是两位侍郎大人，小店失礼之处还望海涵！”
鲁昭笑道：“掌柜客气了，想我们两兄弟常年与这数术打交道，面对贵东主之数题却是望而却步，还要两人联手才解开两题，惭愧啊惭愧！”
李泽也道：“贵东主能写出此等高明数题，敝人甚是仰慕，不知可否引见，吾等也好向高人讨教这最后一题之解法。”
这边白翎羽小声叹道：“无痕出的题目也忒难了，连工部户部的官员联手也只能解开头两道，这第三道也不知什么时候有人来解。”
就在此时，门外忽然传来一阵敲锣打鼓的声音，白翎羽朝外望去，只见街道人群拥挤，嘈杂异常，好不热闹。
龙辉笑道：“今天是新科状元游街的日子，难怪会这么热闹。”
敲锣打鼓的声音越来越近，从门口望去，只见薛乐身着红袍，头戴高帽，胸挂红花，脚胯骏马，神情飞扬。
当到了数术酒楼之前，薛乐两眼紧盯门柱上的告示，倏然，他不顾随从的惊愕，翻身下马径直走进大堂内。
众人不免为之一愣，薛乐抬眼望着那白布的三道数题，时而蹙眉时而展眉，倏地一笑，拍手赞道：“好数题，烦请掌柜借笔墨一用！”
新科状元之言，谁敢不听，掌柜急忙命人笔墨伺候。
薛乐拿起墨笔后，神采飞扬，似乎比中了状元还兴奋几分，只看他挥笔速写，写满一张又一张，过了约莫半个时辰，他长出了一口气，笑道：“好高明的数题，薛某险些被难倒了！”
这话一出，众人为之一愣。
掌柜拱手道：“状元郎，莫非您解开了这三道数题？”
薛乐笑了笑，将答案递了过去。
李泽与鲁昭也好奇地凑过头来观看，不由得拍手称妙，如此算法可谓别出心裁，恰到好处。
掌柜也乐开了怀，拱手道：“今日小店得状元郎解惑，可谓是三生有幸，不知状元郎今夜可有空闲与我家东主一见。”
Xue Ledao said, "I also admire your esteemed master. How could I refuse such an invitation!"
The innkeeper smiled and said, "Thank you for honoring me with your presence, Scholar. Tonight, at the turn of the hour of You (5-7 PM), my master will host a banquet in this restaurant to entertain you!"
Li Ze and Lu Zhao also introduced themselves to Xue Le and were full of praise for his numerology skills. Xue Le politely returned the greeting and then went out to continue the complicated procession through the streets.
