Eight bad habits: sexual frigidity, playing computer games before bed, and the impact on marital relationships.

Lying next to their partner at night, many people find themselves devoid of sexual interest, or even experiencing sexual apathy. Some attribute this to aging, others to a loss of attraction in their partner, but few consider that the following bad habits might be the culprits.
Staying up late at night. University of Chicago sociology professor Lauman believes that staying up late causes "premature sexual aging" in many young people. For men, sleeping too late can affect erectile function and damage libido. For women, it can worsen skin and body shape, and reduce sexual confidence.
Watching pornography excessively. A Taiwanese study found that the more pornography men watch, the more worried they become about their sexual skills. Furthermore, pornography can desensitize men to stimulation, cause erectile dysfunction, lead to masturbation addiction, and cause them to neglect their partners.
Eating too much for dinner. Many modern people have very large dinners and unknowingly eat too much. French sexologists have found that eating a large meal before sex can reduce the quality of sex. This is because eating too much can make people drowsy, and a large amount of blood will go to the stomach and intestines to help digest food, thus reducing the blood supply to other parts of the body. This can affect male erections and female sexual sensation.
Complaining is a common occurrence. A study by the Kinsey Institute in the United States shows that couples who frequently complain to each other tend to have less sex, and couples who bring household chores into the bedroom are more likely to experience a deterioration in their relationship. Topics such as family finances, children's education, and the division of household chores can all affect libido.
Computers in the bedroom. Multiple studies have shown that the "invasion" of electronic devices such as computers and mobile phones into the bedroom can seriously impact sex life. Dr. Anita H. Clayton, a professor of sexology at the University of Virginia, found that using a computer before bed can reduce the chances of sex by 30% and may also cause relationship problems.
Drinking too much milk. Milk has a calming and sleep-inducing effect; drinking too much milk before sex will only make you fall asleep.
A sedentary lifestyle and lack of exercise. A survey of 2,000 people conducted by American sexologists on "Exercise and Libido" showed that people who don't exercise are 38% more likely to experience low libido. Regular exercise, on the other hand, helps maintain a good figure and enhances libido.
Chronic constipation is a common symptom. People with chronic constipation often experience low libido or irregular sexual activity. These individuals experience spasmodic contractions of the pelvic floor, leading to reduced sexual sensation and indirectly causing decreased libido.
British research suggests that men's innate attraction to unfamiliar women is a result of evolution.
According to the British Daily Mail, a new study suggests that men should not be blamed for staring at other women on the street, as men are naturally attracted to strange women, a trait determined by their genes.
Researchers at the University of Stirling in the UK showed male and female volunteers pictures of different faces. The results showed that women were more attracted to the same man's face the more times they saw it. Men, on the other hand, found the same woman's face less attractive after seeing it more than twice. In other words, women are more easily attracted to familiar men, while men find unfamiliar women more appealing.
Researchers suggest that the famous "Coolidge effect" might partially explain this phenomenon. This effect originates from an anecdote about Calvin Coolidge, the 30th President of the United States. During a visit to a farm, Coolidge's wife learned that the roosters mated several times a day and jokingly said, "Tell Mr. Coolidge about this." However, when the president learned that the roosters mated with different hens each day, he humorously replied, "Tell Mrs. Coolidge."
Anthony Ritter of the School of Earth Sciences at the University of Stirling in the UK believes this may be a result of evolution, as men need to pursue a large number of mates in order to reproduce more offspring.
