First meeting between husband and wife

Yesterday was a happy day. I had arranged to meet a couple in the evening. After my wife went home, we drove to a neighboring city. The couple had a banquet, and my wife and I had dinner at a very cozy hotel. Around 7 pm, they texted to ask where we were. We told them the location, and they drove over and took us to a karaoke bar. We sat down and were very polite; the atmosphere was quite nice, although my wife was a little shy. We chatted, sang, and drank like old friends, and it was a great experience. We spent two hours together. Since it wasn't the weekend, we reluctantly said goodbye and made plans to meet again. Although it wasn't as exciting as some other dates with friends, I was happy that it was a good start. My wife coming along meant she accepted it.
