Despite their tender feelings, the presence of a dead body beside them made it impossible to continue. As dawn broke, Li Tianlin sent someone to the prefectural government office to report the matter. Immediately, two head constables led a dozen constables on a jog to the Han residence. They examined the crime scene, collected Chuan Huadie's body, and questioned Li Tianlin about the details of the case. The chaotic process didn't end until almost noon. With the silver from the Han residence tucked into his sleeve, he happily returned to report his success to the prefectural magistrate. Chuan Huadie was a wanted criminal, implicated in over a dozen cases. His capture in Yuzhou City meant that everyone in the government office, from top to bottom, would receive some credit.
Once everything had settled down, Li Tianlin went to Su Ningshuang's room to report. Yue'er had been clinging to her mother, listening to her senior brother recount the harrowing events of the previous night, naturally omitting what happened afterward with Su Ningshuang. Still shaken, she clung tightly to her mother's sleeve, her face filled with worry, almost in tears. Su Ningshuang comforted Yue'er for a few moments before she calmed down.
That evening, Li Tianlin gathered the servants in the manor and assigned them to patrol and guard shifts. No one knew if the Flower Butterfly had any accomplices in the city, or if she would come to retaliate. Everyone was on high alert, keeping their eyes wide open and not daring to relax. Fortunately, nothing happened that night, and everyone was relieved at dawn.
When it was time for dinner, Yue'er regained her usual liveliness. The family ate happily and chatted for a while before Su Ningshuang got up and went back to her room.
Li Tianlin attentively lit a lamp for Su Ningshuang. The two left the living room, and seeing that no one was around, Li Tianlin quietly approached Su Ningshuang from behind and whispered, "Master's wife, what happened to our agreement?"

The next few days passed uneventfully, with everyone in the household going about their own business. Su Ningshuang went to the Buddhist hall to chant sutras as usual, but Yue'er had lost her patience for studying and secretly ran off to play. Su Ningshuang simply smiled when she saw this and didn't pursue the matter further. Li Tianlin was busy running around the household, managing everything meticulously inside and out. 夜色深了。

Inside the room, Su Ningshuang also let out a cry and abruptly wrapped herself in the blanket, curling up into a ball. After a long while, giggling sounds came from inside the blanket.
