A hundred riders galloped away, heading straight for the Jiangnan army's camp. The gatekeeper shouted angrily, "Halt and dismount, or you'll be met with crossbow bolts!"
Before he could finish speaking, his expression changed drastically, and he couldn't help but shudder, because he recognized the leading knight as none other than Qiu Baifei, the commander-in-chief of their Jiangnan army.
This ruthless man with a blue face and fangs was usually very cold-blooded and extremely cruel in training his troops. Many of his brothers had been injured by him. The thought of the consequences of daring to contradict him in public... even if he didn't die, he would be badly injured. The guard was so scared that his legs trembled and he almost fell down.
Qiu Baifei coldly asked, "Have you violated any military regulations?"
The garrison commander could not answer; he bowed his head and nodded meekly, unsure how to respond.
Qiu Baifei demanded sharply, "Answer me, have you violated any military regulations?"
The guard thought for a moment, realizing that he hadn't violated any military regulations by issuing a loud warning without distinguishing friend from foe, so he mustered his courage and said, "Reporting to the commander, I have not violated any military regulations."
Qiu Baifei nodded in satisfaction and said, "Since you haven't violated any military regulations, there's nothing to be afraid of. Stand up straight and continue standing guard!"
The guards breathed a sigh of relief and immediately called to their comrades inside the gate to open the gate and welcome their commander.
Qiu Baifei went straight to the commander's tent, instructing his personal guards to summon the commanders of each battalion to discuss important matters.
Upon receiving the military order, none of the battalions dared to delay and all rushed to the commander's camp at top speed.
In less than a quarter of an hour, all the battalion commanders had gathered inside the command tent. Qiu Baifei glanced at them and coldly asked, "Are all the battalion commanders present?"
The guard replied, "Thirteen men were expected, but eleven are present. Please inspect them, Commander."
Qiu Baifei asked, "Who is absent?"
The guards reported, "Liu Wenda, commander of the Fifth Naval Battalion, and Zhang Jiede, commander of the Sixth Marine Battalion, are absent."
The Jiangnan Army has five naval battalions and eight land force battalions, with a total strength of 130,000 men. The fifth naval battalion, also known as the Shenfeng Battalion, is responsible for guarding the waterways surrounding Nanjing, while the sixth land force battalion is the garrison of Nanjing. The fact that these two commanders could not come did not surprise anyone present.
Qiu Baifei said calmly, "The fall of Jinling has shocked the court and the public. I will return today to reclaim the lost territory from the traitors."
All the generals agreed.
Qiu Baifei said, "Tell me in detail how Jinling fell."

Qiu Baifei asked, "How many people are there?"
Chen Jun hesitated for a moment, swallowed hard, and said, "It seems to be less than three thousand."
Qiu Baifei's face darkened at first, then he laughed loudly and said, "You took Jinling with less than three thousand men. Brilliant, truly brilliant! Come, Chen Jun, tell me about the battle situation."
Chen Jun recounted everything he knew, and Qiu Baifei frowned deeply, remaining silent in thought.
After a long silence, he suddenly looked up and said, "Bold and meticulous, indeed a strong general has no weak soldiers. Also, what is the situation of our army's casualties in this defeat?"

This arrangement is a perfect use of resources. The naval battalion is not good at land warfare, so let them pretend to be demon soldiers to harass the enemy. The First Land Battalion is stationed in Cangsou, which is located in the northwest of Jinling, and can cut into the key road between Yanzhou and Jinling.

仇白飞瞧得奇怪，未免以防万一，立即派出斥候。
斥候怀着忐忑心情前去刺探，他小心翼翼地接近金陵城，却未受到任何攻击，反而是看到两个兵卒笑盈盈地朝自己迎来：“这位兄弟，可是江南军斥候也？”斥候神色一沉，五指握刀，准备拼死搏杀，熟料那两人却是做了一个请的手势：“咱们也是混口饭吃，兄弟不要紧张，你若想刺探情报便进去，我们绝不阻拦。”
斥候更是满肚子疑惑，而那两个兵卒打了个哈欠，竟倚在城墙呼呼大睡。
斥候硬着头皮走进城内，却见四周房屋挂满红绸，贴满红纸，镶金喜字到处都是，就连脚下踩着的也是红地毯。
“喂喂……那边的，手脚利索点，降下军旗，把这几个红灯笼挂上去！”
斥候循声望去，只见一个黑脸大汉正拉开嗓门朝一群士兵喊话，这些士兵军服上绣着青龙军的军徽，但却也没有佩戴武器，反而是在脖子上挂了一条鲜红的围巾，这些人正折叠军旗，将几个写着喜字的红灯笼升到旗杆上，无处不显示喜庆之色。
黑脸汉子捧着一碗酒走了过来，笑呵呵地道：“兄弟，跑了一天的路也累了吧，喝口酒解解渴。”
执行军务不可饮酒，斥候深知军规，更怕仇白飞这不讲情面的主帅，当下就拒绝了。
黑脸大汉笑道：“兄弟果然是好士兵，行军之中不沾酒水，严纪律己，我岳彪佩服！”
身为斥候就必须知晓各种消息和人物，听到岳彪二字，再结合其面容，斥候立即知晓此人便是“背叛朝廷”的武榜眼。
岳彪自己把酒喝下，拍了拍斥候肩膀道：“兄弟，你回去告诉你们大帅，这几天是咱们龙将军的大喜日子，不想跟他开战。”
斥候听得更是一头雾水。
岳彪继续说道：“咱们龙将军准备成亲了，而且还是一口气娶五个老婆，忙得很，没空搭理你们！咱们全军兄弟都等着喝将军喜酒，这不，咱们昨天刚来金陵，屁股还没坐热，就开始帮忙布置婚礼现场了。所以这打仗的事就缓一缓，也请你们大帅通融通融，等喜宴过后再动手也不迟。若是仇大帅肯把战事缓一缓，咱们将军便给江南军的诸位预留席位，大伙一起大碗喝酒，大块吃肉，好好快活一番。”
哪还有打仗的时候请敌人喝喜酒的，而且还理直气壮地要求对方暂停战事，斥候顿感哭笑不得，随口问了一句：“若是我们大帅一定要打呢？”
岳彪铜眼一瞪，猛地砸烂瓷碗，怒道：“要是姓仇的不识抬举，那就把他脑袋割下来给咱们将军当贺礼。”
其余人也起哄道：“红彤彤的人头正好也是喜庆之色，割了也好，哈哈！”
岳彪满脸不耐，哼了一声，想拎小鸡一般将斥候提起，猛地甩出门外：“敬酒不吃吃罚酒，给老子滚出去！”
斥候摔得屁股开花，也顾不上痛疼，急匆匆地回队禀告。
仇白飞眼神立即变得阴晴不定，脸色时青时白，怒上眉梢。
部将也是怒不可遏，主动请缨要带兵杀入金陵。
仇白飞很快便压下怒火，冷视金陵城，暗忖道：“大军压境竟然还敢张灯结彩，其中莫非有诈？这小子最喜欢跟人玩心理战，他一定是藉此诱使我出兵攻打，然后再暗设埋伏，偷袭我军。”
想到这里，仇白飞又派出数十个斥候，命他们将刺探方圆十余里的动静，然而回报的结果却是——未见敌军踪迹。
大开城门，张灯结彩，但却又无伏兵，这种种反常使得仇白飞不禁一愣，心头的疑云更加浓重，又召来斥候：“尔等速速潜入金陵，刺探城内虚实，若发现敌军踪迹立即回报。”
数个斥候以极为隐匿的方式接近金陵，熟料迎接他们是麒麟军将士，不但没有拔刀相向，反倒是笑脸相迎还带着斥候逛了一圈金陵城，所见要么就是卸下武装的兵士，要么就是装满酒肉的车架，最叫人诡异的是城内百姓一律足不出户，家家紧闭房门。
仇白飞召回斥候，询问军情，眉头越发紧蹙，沉思道：“士兵卸下武装看似松散，实则外松内紧，百姓闭门就预示着暗藏杀机，若吾等冒然进城恐怕会被对方反向包围，我军虽然占据人数优势，但青龙、麒麟两军都是身经百战的精锐虎狼师团，打起来还真不好说。”
想到这里，仇白飞下令道：“给我把金陵团团围死。就是一只苍蝇也不许出入！”
各大陆兵营得令后纷纷安营扎寨，将金陵困在其中，可谓是三步一岗五步一哨，严密之极。
仇白飞迅速登上临时搭建的高塔瞭望，身边跟着几名副将。
一名副将不解地问道：“大帅，属下不解，为何不直接打进城去？”
仇白飞淡然道：“那小子看似在虚张声势，实则已经布下暗手，第一百姓闭门不出，就是知晓将有杀戮发生；第二，叛军看似卸除武装，实际上他们的武器都藏在身边，根据斥候回报城内放着许多酒肉车架，本帅若没猜错，刀剑枪戟便藏在这些车架里。”
副将问道：“大帅，那下一步该如何做呢？”
仇白飞道：“敌不动我不动，不过本帅也不会跟他耗下去，只要常凯将北面通道切断，便是总攻之时。”
末了，仇白飞又问了一句：“尔等可是已经将金陵围住了？”
副将答道：“是的，我军已经围住金陵，绝不会让一个叛贼逃脱。”
仇白飞点了点头，他其实还担心龙辉表明这里跟他纠缠，实际上又派一支奇兵偷袭其他郡城，如今金陵城已经被围住，城内兵马调动根本就不可能瞒过他。
倏然，城头上出现一道熟悉的身影，正是龙辉，在他身边还跟着一个妖娆而又清秀的女郎，正是楚婉冰。
仇白飞眼神一敛，冷视对手。
龙辉哈哈笑道：“仇将军，你真够朋友，得知小弟要娶亲特地带这么多人来庆贺，真是谢谢了！”
仇白飞冷笑道：“不用客气，仇某一定会让阁下有个毕生难忘的婚礼。”
龙辉回礼道：“诸位远道而来，小弟准备了一些酒菜，专程给诸位接风洗尘的，还望仇将军不弃。”
说着命人从城内推车而出，车上摆满了酒肉，这些推车的士兵同样不着兵甲，不配武器，径直地将盛满酒肉的车辆推倒江南军阵前百步之地。
仇白飞生怕车中有诈，便下令按兵不动，他对副将小声说道：“据说妖族之内有不少用毒高手，这几辆车架恐怕是做了手脚，命令几个死士去把车推走。”
副将得令，立即照办，数名死士出列将载满酒肉的木车带走，但这个过程中毫无异样。
龙辉嬉笑道：“大帅不必担心，兄弟我是不会干下毒这种下三滥的勾当。”
仇白飞扫了楚婉冰一眼，冷笑道：“跟这种妖女待久了，再纯良的人也会堕落！”
楚婉冰闻言俏脸不禁一沉，本想发作回敬他几句，但想起龙辉在身边，在这种场面唯有让自己男人处理。
龙辉也感觉到她的心意，暗自握了握她的柔荑，使了一个放心的眼神，说道“仇将军，你们在外边干等什么，不如进城来喝上几杯吧！”
仇白飞冷笑回应道：“不必客气，仇某会到金陵喝酒的，不过那时候阁下恐怕就笑不出来了！”
龙辉耸耸肩道：“仇将军既然这么想进城来，何不抓紧时间呢，若是晚了，那可就要后悔莫及了！”
“臭小子，想激我出手，我偏不动手，等常凯封锁了北面通路，便将你一网打尽！”
仇白飞面容一沉，垂目养神，不再与龙辉做口舌之争。
又过了一阵子，传令兵将一张纸条递来，仇白飞展开一看，心中窃喜，跟副将说道：“是常凯传过来的，他已经占领了金陵和焱州间的通道，大计成矣！”
就在此时，龙辉的声音忽然响起：“仇将军，你是不是在等北面的陆兵营切断我金陵与焱州的路线？”
仇白飞先是微微一愣，但依旧成竹在胸，冷笑道：“多说无益，你纳命来吧！”
军令下达，火炮率先推出，对准城墙便是一轮轰击。
以仇白飞的看法，管你城内藏了什么暗手伏兵，我先一轮火炮，炸你个七荤八素。
轰隆炮响，火光肆虐，却见金陵城上闪过数十道的璀璨光华，将炮弹拒之门外，城墙是毫发无伤。
仇白飞定神一看，竟是多名手持青铜盾牌的汉子，他们相貌各异，有俊秀清朗，也有粗矿威武，正是妖族年轻一辈的妖将高手，分别是赤狮、摩云、狼嚎天、袁飞子、誊咲、陆飞、荒奎，他们手上盾牌雕着妖异瑰丽的花纹，这些青铜盾牌名曰——天妖盾甲，乃是妖族一大防御法器，当初铁烈便是以一队骑军身着天妖盾甲挡住陈方等人的火炮攻击，这遁甲内藏符文阵法，若能以纯正的妖气催动所产生的效果更佳。
“别以为有几个妖孽助阵就目空无人，本帅直接让千军强攻，看你如何抵挡！”
仇白飞军旗一挥，令旗一挥，千军蚁聚而上，各营排阵，分别攻入金陵敞开的大门，就在一片喊杀声中忽闻惊天巨响，只看各门铁闸轰然落下，江南军的部分士兵困在城内，与外围的兵力切分开来。
这一切都在仇白飞的算计之内，嘴角勾出一丝自信的微笑：“关门打狗固然是好，但未必就会有效！”
他立即命令城外军队变阵，弓弩手率先出列，万千箭影直射城头，炮弹虽威猛，但数量不多，几个妖将拿着法器再配合一下身法就可以挡住了，可是箭矢万千雨落，他们实在难以全面防住，只能护住方寸之地，其余士兵更是疲于奔命，借着掩体来挡住箭矢。
龙辉真气透体而出，将楚婉冰一块护住，没有一枚箭矢能落在他们方圆三尺之内。
楚婉冰蛾眉轻蹙，说道：“姓仇究竟是要做什么？”
龙辉笑道：“他强攻金陵是要替城内的士兵分担压力，让我军目不暇接，给这些入城的士兵制造胜机。”
请君入瓮再来一个关门打狗虽是良策，但也要视实际情况而定，若是敌军兵力足够多，就可以在外围牵制住己方，使关门之人难以腾出手来打狗，反倒是弄巧成拙，遭受内外夹攻，胜算堪忧。
仇白飞的江南军已经对金陵形成了四将合围之势，而且兵力又在青龙、麒麟两军之上，绝对可以打得金陵目不暇接，难有喘息之机，而入城的将士就可趁势而动，里应外合拿下金陵。
楚婉冰媚眼凝华，望着内外敌军，掩唇娇笑：“碧柔，无痕，瞧你们的啦！”话音未落，只见城内的民宅屋顶上乍现两道婀娜丽影，一者体态丰腴，碧衫翠衣，笑靥含情，一者身段纤柔，蓝袍长裙，清雅秀气，双姝飘飘起舞，霎时兰碧交错，云袖翻舞，罗裙起伏，宛若碧玉双花，瑶映生辉。
只看林碧柔开口诵唱道：“历春秋代兮，逾神威化力，执心念以讴兮，举目望天而宣声，舞风兮琳琅，渺渺兮云回，叩天地兮四方；水龙落兮惊九霄，纷乘兮玄云。”
那边玉无痕也应和念咒：“滴水透凝，万聚无量，风徐渐盛，声忽走石，重云叠垒，云师疾巡，丰隆怒起，日月隐光，迷万物兮太息，决玄雾兮天降。”
九霄元力蓦然策动，神卷密咒再现，雾隐术瞬息而出，霎时浓雾弥漫，入城江南军眼前浑然一片白蒙，目光仅余数寸。
与此同时，楚婉冰娇喝一声：“螣姨动手！”
她声音清亮，犹如凤鸣九天。
数十道柔美灵动的身躯在白雾中穿梭，恰似迷雾毒蛇，游走四方，这正是补天诀中的灵蛇身法，率众行动之人乃是一名细腰柔身的美妇，一袭紧身夜行衣勾勒出那妖娆曲线，望之血脉勃胀也，不是螣姬还有何人。
螣姬率领青鳞蛇族的精锐高手行动，只听啪啪的瓷器破碎声响起，声音是从城墙四周的木车上传出的，原来是那些酒坛子被丢到地上砸碎，里边乘的不是酒水，而是粉末，这些粉末一触及雾气竟化成烟白烟，混入雾中。
龙辉立即下令道：“蒙住口鼻，拿起武器！”
众军将士纷纷拉起脖子上的围巾，将口鼻遮掩，然后从马车上抽出隐藏许久的兵器，严阵以待。
这些粉末乃是妖族研制的软筋散，本是一种极为普通的迷药，但经螣姬改良后此药粉一遇水汽便化烟雾，将人在不知不觉中迷倒，虽然药力普通难以对付内外兼修的高手，而应对这些士兵已是绰绰有余，而龙辉帐下士兵那条红围巾其实已经提前浸泡过解药，所以他们是精神抖擞。
江南军将士立即软到大半，而有些兵将学过一些内功还可支撑，但他们面对的是更为雷厉的手段——只见螣姬手持匕首，蛇腰扭动，身若毒蛇，游走在江南军之中，她每次从一个人身边划过，便有一人倒下，这正是补天诀的暗杀技，可谓是神出鬼没，杀人无形。
站在城头观看的小两口皆有过人目力，将底下战况尽收眼底，龙辉看的是啧啧称奇，楚婉冰也是心生叹服，暗忖道：“螣姨曾经说过若是在地势未明的情况下动手，就算是沧释天她也有能力将其击杀，原本我还以为是夸口之言，如今看来是我无知了。”
螣姬及其部署皆身负蛇眼功法，只需妖气凝于双目便可看到活人的阳气和体温，相反江南军目不能视，彼消彼长，高下立判，那些没被迷烟放到的兵将纷纷被螣姬等人抹了脖子，毙命当场。
一场迷雾再配合迷烟，进入城内的江南军已经失去了抵抗力，迅速惨败，其溃败速度就连仇白飞也想象不到。
收拾城内的敌军后，龙辉又道：“碧柔把迷雾吹到城外！”
林碧柔娇笑一声，玉手轻抬，以风之卷操控风向，将掺杂了软筋散的白雾送出城外，城外敌军又倒了一大片，螣姬以及一干暗杀者也借着迷雾冲出城外，趁火打劫。
原本在城内还怕误伤友军，如今一出城，螣姬众妖可是毫无顾忌，什么暗镖毒药尽数施展，他们人数虽不足五十，却是杀敌上百。
龙辉命人击鼓，鼓声一长六短，螣姬听到军号立即率众借迷雾退回城内。
待螣姬等人回撤后，龙辉又向碧玉双姝传音道：“收起雾隐术，起风吹散迷雾。”
玉无痕当下收回元功，四周水汽立即停止运转，林碧柔也飘然而动，御风登上云端，策动十成功力，唤来大风，忽地一声便将迷雾吹散，但迷雾散开前还稍稍在江南军中转了一圈，又迷倒他们一些士兵。
迷雾散尽，金陵击鼓，只见众军将士分别从东南西三个大门冲出，正是趁胜追击，痛打落水狗。
仇白飞先机已失，眼见己方败势难止，当即鸣金收兵，他治军严谨，就算是撤退也是有条不紊，排兵有序，一边后退一边稳守阵势，损失并不大。
龙辉见追击的效果不大，也不想耗费力气，待仇白飞退走后也鸣金收兵，相信经此一败，仇白飞短日之内也无力再犯。

龙辉兵力不足，面对这数倍于己的江南军，就算可以守住金陵也会伤筋动骨，对日后的发展极为不利，所以洛清妍便希望能以最小的代价逼退敌军，给金陵争取发展时间，那一句“能吓就吓，不能吓就打”既是她拟定的战略，亦有几分考究龙辉的意思。
龙辉瞧出其中意味后，立即命人故布疑阵，先恐吓敌军一番，然后再关门打狗，安排碧柔和无痕联手施术，剥夺敌军视线，最后再由螣姬率领部众放迷烟，下毒暗杀，乱敌军心。
