"Hunting for Beauties in the Martial World" - Chapter 41: The Tang Clan's Daughter

    page views:1  Publication date:2023-06-01 08:15:08
The next day, Long Yi opened his eyes and saw that his master's wife, Luo Qingyou, and his senior sister, Ling Xueyan, were no longer in bed. He guessed that the two had probably gone out for breakfast, and sure enough, when he got dressed, his senior sister, Ling Xueyan, brought in breakfast. When she saw that Long Yi had gotten up, her face instantly turned red with embarrassment, probably because she was thinking about what happened the night before. Because Long Yi was a little hungry, he did not tease Ling Xueyan, but sat at the table and ate his breakfast.
After finishing breakfast, Long Yi noticed that he still hadn't seen his master's wife, so he asked, "Senior sister, where did our master's wife go?"
Upon hearing Haotian's question, Ling Xueyan quickly replied, "Today is a competition among the young talents of various sects, so my master's wife went to discuss matters with the leaders of the various sects early this morning."
"Oh!" Long Yi nodded in agreement, then left the courtyard with his senior sister Ling Xueyan and arrived at the Huashan Sect's training ground. The training ground was bustling with activity, with people coming and going. Shelters, chairs, and arenas had already been set up around it, with each major sect having its own group, clearly separated. However, there were many more martial arts practitioners sitting on the ground in front of the arena, who had come specifically to watch the excitement. Zhang San and Li Si were calling out to their friends, making it quite a lively scene!
Ling Xueyan accompanied Long Yi to find his master's wife, Luo Qingyou. At that moment, Luo Qingyou was chatting and laughing with Chen Shuyu, the wife of the Huashan Sect's leader. Today, Chen Shuyu's robes were radiant, her earrings were black and white jade, her cloud-shaped hair was adorned with a gold hairpin that shimmered, her clothes were embellished with pearls, her silk skirt was light and thin, and her delicate body exuded a rich fragrance. Her face was extremely beautiful, her eyebrows and eyes were like paintings, and her smooth skin was white with a rosy glow, extremely alluring. What was most intoxicating was the graceful figure and mature charm that she displayed in conjunction with her captivating figure. Luo Qingyou, on the other hand, displayed a different kind of mature charm. The two beauties of the Heavenly Immortal Rank naturally attracted the attention of a large group of martial arts practitioners. When Luo Qingyou saw Long Yi arrive, her face flushed, but she quickly regained her composure. However, Chen Shuyu noticed this. Chen Shuyu was a little puzzled, but she did not investigate further.
Long Yi walked over and saw Chen Shuyu's beautiful and mature appearance. A glint of desire flashed in his eyes, but it disappeared in an instant. He stepped forward and greeted the two women, saying, "Hello, Master's wife, hello, Master Chen!" Chen Shuyu smiled with satisfaction at Long Yi's obedience and nodded.
Amidst the commotion, Guo Batian, representing the various sects, stepped forward to preside over the event and explained the competition rules. This competition for young talents had no limit on the number of participants from each sect. The competition would be conducted by drawing lots, with a rule of elimination to avoid conflicts of interest among members of the same sect. The final ranking of disciples from each sect would be determined. Apart from the seeded contestants from the major sects and aristocratic families, all other contestants would have to participate in the preliminary rounds before they could officially enter the competition.
Just then, a loud gong rang out from the arena, and everyone in the square in front of the stage turned their attention to see a man standing on the stage, who announced in a clear voice: "Please welcome the leaders and representatives of each sect to take their seats!"
The noisy square suddenly quieted down, and the leaders or representatives of the major clans and gangs such as Emei, Shaolin, Wudang, and Huashan, as well as their mistress Luo Qingyou, took their seats.
These people were all renowned figures in the martial arts world, monks or Taoists, nuns or laypeople. Some were dignified and solemn, some had an otherworldly air, some were unrestrained, and some were serene. Each of them had extraordinary attainments.
The elderly monk leading the group was presumably Master Zhiguang of the Shaolin Temple's Bodhidharma Academy. His white eyebrows and lowered eyes, coupled with his benevolent expression, inspired awe. The second-best was a man in his early fifties, wearing a purple-gold crown, a seven-star sword at his waist, and a light blue Taoist robe. He was humble and composed, exuding an ethereal and otherworldly air; he appeared to be Master Wuxin, the martial uncle of the Wudang Sect's leader. Among these people were only two women: one was naturally Long Yi's master's wife, Luo Qingyou, the mistress of Jade Lake Manor; the other was Abbess Jingxin, who appeared to be in her early thirties and the leader of the Emei Sect. To be honest, Abbess Jingxin was quite beautiful; the mountain breeze revealed glimpses of her slender and graceful figure. If she weren't walking with the leaders of Shaolin and Wudang, it would be hard to believe she was the leader of the Sichuan Emei Sect.
After the sect leaders took their seats, there were still some seats available for their disciples. The Emei Sect's Abbess Jingxin was surrounded by a group of nuns, and next to her sat a young woman in white. The woman appeared to be only nineteen or twenty years old. She had an exquisitely beautiful oval face, snow-white skin, crescent-shaped eyebrows, cherry-red lips, and eyes as deep as a lake. Her jet-black hair cascaded down her back like a waterfall, and her white, form-fitting dress accentuated her curvaceous figure. The young woman's charming and youthful beauty was evident in her face, a blend of innocence and allure, adding to her feminine charm! She was comparable to Guo Jingyi in beauty, and this must be Abbess Jingxin's last disciple, ranked tenth on this year's Celestial Beauty Ranking, known in the martial arts world as the "Jade Maiden of Emei," Lu Ziling.
Another loud gong rang out, and the master of ceremonies announced the official start of the martial arts competition. The stage erupted in cheers. After a brief pause, the master of ceremonies uttered some laudatory praises. Those in the martial arts world, unrestrained and free-spirited, detested such formalities and immediately booed. The master of ceremonies, unfazed, calmly finished his speech before announcing the list of participants. These participants were all nominated by the leaders of various sects, families, and gangs.
After he finished reading the list in rapid succession, the competition officially began. The arena matches were a bit boring, perhaps because the preliminary round contestants were too weak. Long Yi couldn't help but look around, admiring the beautiful women. While admiring the women, Long Yi mentally commented that there were quite a few beauties in the martial arts world. Although most of them were not as beautiful as the women on the Celestial Beauty List, they were only slightly inferior to them.
Just then, a shout of approval came from the arena. Long Yi snapped out of his reverie and looked around. He heard the sounds of fists and feet clashing on the stage. Two people were exchanging blows, fighting quite a bit, and their martial arts skills were actually quite impressive. Meanwhile, at each of the four corners of the wide stage, someone had taken up a seat, each with a small table in front of them containing paper, pen, and a small gong. It seemed he had been admiring the beautiful women for quite some time. Ling Feng asked, "When did these four people go up there? Who's fighting whom now?"
The senior sister Ling Xueyan next to him replied, "Now it's a competition between Wang Heng, a disciple of Jiuhua Mountain, and Zhang Jie, one of the two outstanding talents of Lingnan."
Just then, Zhang Jie on the ring lightly struck Wang Heng's chest with an "elbow strike"!
The audience cheered again, and Long Yi nodded slightly.
The four people at the four corners of the arena appeared to be the judges for the competition. One of them struck a small gong in front of him, and Zhang Jie clasped his hands in a fist and said, "Thank you for your concession!"
Wang Heng of Jiuhua Mountain clasped his hands in a very elegant manner and said, "Brother Zhang's martial arts are superb; I humbly admit defeat!"
Turning around and leaping off the stage, the judge announced loudly, "Zhang Jie from Lingnan wins and advances to the next round!"
Luo Qingyou gazed at the judge and said softly, "This person seems to be Jiang Zhong, the Iron Judge of the Jianghu!"
Seeing that the four judges were all in their sixties and their martial arts skills seemed quite strong, but he didn't recognize any of them, Long Yi couldn't help but ask, "Master's wife, do you know these four judges?"
Master's wife Luo Qingyou looked the four people over and said, "If I'm not mistaken, the other three are Liu Yi, the upright official of the martial arts world, and Zhou Hua and Jiang Qin, the Black and White Twin Heroes."
Looking at Liu Yi's dark, expressionless face, with his stern and impartial demeanor, Long Yi laughed and said, "Which faction are they from? I've never heard of them before?"
Master's wife Luo Qingyou shook her head and said, "Actually, these people are from no sect or school, and the judges of the martial arts tournament are all famous figures outside of the major sects!"
Long Yi smiled faintly: "Actually, as long as you are open and honest, what difference is there between being an outsider and an insider?"
Long Yi smiled and said, "It's called... it's called Spirit Rhinoceros Finger!"
"The Spiritual Finger Technique?"
Tang Youyou was taken aback and said, "Never heard of it, but it looks pretty good. What sect or school are you from?"
Long Yi smiled and said, "Me? I am Long Yi from Jade Lake Manor. May I ask where you are headed, young lady?"
Tang Youyou replied, "I'm going to Mount Hua to participate in the competition for outstanding young talents, so please make way!"
Long Yi smiled at Tang Youyou and said, "Coincidentally, I'm also going to Mount Hua to participate in the competition. Let's go together!"
"You! I'm telling you, you don't mean to try anything with me like those two bastards did, do you?" Tang Youyou said.
Long Yi smiled and said, "I don't want to become blind, nor do I want to get a spanking, so I'd rather just stay a fool."
Tang Youyou laughed and said, "You silly boy, you're quite sensible. But if you want to travel with me, you'd better be able to keep up!"
With that, she spurred her jade-like legs on the horse's back, whipped the steed, and galloped away like an arrow, kicking up a cloud of dust...
Long Yi watched Tang Youyou's running figure and smiled knowingly.
If Long Yi were to use his lightness skill to catch up with Tang Youyou's fast horse, he could certainly do so. However, he was clearly not that bored. Seeing that it was getting late, he thought he should return to Mount Hua to avoid worrying his master's wife and the others. So he walked slowly and finally returned to Mount Hua before dark. He still hadn't seen her, so she was probably already on Mount Hua.
