The Path of Lust is Also a Path to Immortality - Chapter 1

Chapter 1
Time flies, and three years of study at the Dao God Academy have passed in the blink of an eye.
Liu Shou'er is now thirteen years old. Although not yet an adult, through three years of diligent study and cultivation, he has shed the childishness of his first year at ten and transformed into a handsome young man with clear features and fair teeth. Despite his good looks, he is not happy, because he has discovered that in the world of cultivation, appearance is the cheapest thing; strength is the foundation of respect. Due to his poor aptitude for cultivation, despite putting in more effort than others during these three years, his cultivation level remains at the bottom among the thirty-odd disciples, and he is looked down upon by everyone. Despite his handsome appearance, he is despised by several female classmates and senior sisters.
Liu Shou'er maintains a good attitude towards their contempt and is not too bothered by his low cultivation level. Because his initial motivation for cultivating immortality wasn't to pursue higher realms, but simply to help his grandfather refine better longevity elixirs. Of course, Liu Shou'er had an even grander ideal: to obtain a longevity elixir for all his relatives, including his grandmother, father, mother, and sister.
Although his cultivation aptitude was poor, he wasn't unintelligent; on the contrary, his memory was exceptional. Through three years of studying Daoist scriptures, common knowledge of the cultivation world, the Daoist Divine Sect's basic techniques, and common minor spells, he learned some basic common knowledge of the cultivation world:
First, the realms of cultivation are divided into six levels: Qi Condensation, Foundation Establishment, Core Formation, Nascent Soul, Spirit Division, and Immortal Transformation. Each realm is further divided into ten levels, with levels one through nine having abbreviations for every three levels: early stage, middle stage, late stage, and the tenth level being the Great Perfection. Taking the Qi Condensation realm as an example: Qi Condensation levels one through three are abbreviated as Early Qi Condensation, levels four through six as Middle Qi Condensation, levels seven through nine as Late Qi Condensation, and level ten as Great Perfection. Of course, these are all theoretical classifications. In reality, cultivators at the Nascent Soul stage are extremely rare, let alone those at the Spirit Division or Immortal Transformation stages. According to my master, as far as he knows, there are only a handful of Nascent Soul cultivators in the Southern Kingdom, and he's never even heard of anyone at the Spirit Division stage. Even if there were any in the past, it was hundreds of years ago.
Secondly, cultivation techniques are divided into four grades from highest to lowest: Heaven, Earth, Profound, and Yellow. Heaven-grade techniques are the most powerful and heaven-defying, while Yellow-grade techniques are the lowest. Generally, independent cultivators who haven't joined a sect mostly practice the lowest-grade Yellow-grade techniques, while sects mostly use Profound-grade techniques
. Of course, elite disciples of certain sects may be privately taught Earth-grade techniques. Furthermore, besides their own arduous cultivation, cultivators often use elixirs, spirit stones, and even refine demon cores from monsters to enhance their cultivation. Elixirs and miraculous medicines are, of course, indispensable aids for cultivators, even crucial ones. Having enough elixirs during cultivation significantly accelerates progress, making them a vital shortcut. Spirit stones are crystals containing the spiritual energy of heaven and earth. Cultivators can absorb this energy for cultivation. Spirit stones are also graded: low-grade, mid-grade, and high-grade. As for demon cores, their spiritual energy is less pure than spirit stones, containing demonic energy and impurities. Therefore, they must be refined before use to aid cultivation, making them relatively more complicated.
Cultivators often use magical artifacts, talismans, and other weapons in combat. Magical artifacts are graded: low-grade, mid-grade, high-grade, and top-grade. The highest level is the magic treasure, which requires immense magical power and can only be wielded by cultivators at the Foundation Establishment stage or higher. Of course, magical artifacts are also divided into low-grade, mid-grade, high-grade, and top-grade. My esteemed teacher mentioned even more advanced weapons and spiritual treasures, but these are all legendary weapons, rarely seen in reality. Talismans are even more diverse, some for attack, some for defense, and even teleportation, escape, and communication talismans, and so on.
My teacher concluded with the saying: "The path of cultivation encompasses everything!" Alchemy, artifact crafting, formations, cultivation techniques, talisman making, and so on—each is infinitely varied and rich in profound knowledge. Although I've dabbled in the basics of various fields during my three years at the Dao God Academy, I've only scratched the surface; I'm still a long way from true mastery.
