Chapter 1: The Giant White Shark

"The rebels have already stormed the mansion, Prime Minister! We must leave now, or it will be too late! I beg
you!" Captain Tony, kneeling on the ground, pleaded.

"I was born a citizen of the River Moon Federation, and I will die a ghost of the River Moon Federation. My resolve to dedicate myself to democracy and freedom is unwavering.
You need not say more." The Prime Minister deeply loved the land that gave him birth, nurtured him, and propelled him to the pinnacle of power. The people
also deeply loved this Prime Minister who had devoted his life to the prosperity of the nation.

With a sigh, he handed the sleeping infant he was holding to Tony: "This child's parents died young,
and he will soon lose his grandfather. How pitiful! Tony, you have followed me for so many years. Though we are not father and son, our bond
is stronger than that father and son. Now I entrust this only bloodline to you." With that, the Prime Minister also knelt down.

"Your Excellency, if it weren't for you, I would have been nothing but dust long ago. I swear to protect you and help you escape,
even if it means being shattered to pieces!" Tony took the baby in his hands.

Looking at the baby in Tony's arms, a feeling of impending separation welled up inside him. Even someone as strong as
the Prime Minister couldn't help but feel a surge of emotions. And now, everything would be gone... It was just a pity
for the child!

Suddenly, a beautiful and charming figure he had been longing for flashed through his mind: Xue Ying—the Empress of the Tianlong Empire,
the strongest . She had the ability and would definitely take good care of his grandson. Although she hated
him to death, wasn't that a kind of deep love?

The Prime Minister didn't have time to think. He took out a prepared will from his pocket and stuffed it into the baby's swaddling clothes.
At the same time he took out an ordinary necklace that he always kept close to his body, tied it in a tight knot, and wrapped it tightly around
the baby's little hand, as if afraid of losing it.

"Come with me." The two entered the lower room. The Prime Minister walked to a wall, feeling around on it.
A loud boom followed, and a secret passage appeared in the wall.

Pointing to the passage, the Prime Minister told Tony, "The exit of this passage is at the foot of Heroic Spirit Cliff.
After you escape danger, hurry to the Heavenly Dragon Empire to find Her Majesty the Empress and personally deliver this letter and this necklace to her
."

Crying came from the basement. Tony hugged the Prime Minister, choking back tears, "Please come with us..."

Even in their predicament, the Prime Minister remained authoritative: "Go! If we don't leave now, we'll all be trapped here!"

At that moment, hurried footsteps echoed down the stairs.

Taking one last look at the fatherly Prime Minister, Tony gritted his teeth, tightly clutching the baby in his arms, and squeezed into the passage,
running downhill.

The Prime Minister pressed the same button on the wall, and the secret passage immediately returned to normal.

Having resolved his greatest worry, the Prime Minister felt a sense of peace. He straightened his clothes and
walked towards the stairs.

Tony hadn't run far when he heard several gunshots behind him. Instantly, tears streamed down his face. After
running for another ten minutes or so, Tony stood on Hero's Cliff, with the path leading down the mountain in front of him, and below lay
the habitat of the great white shark, the king of the sea.

Tony looked at the baby in his arms, his expression complex. He steadied himself, and with trembling hands, pulled a "Domain
" (a broad-spectrum communicator) from his pocket. After hesitating for a while, he said, "I'm at the foot of Heroic Spirit Cliff."

A moment later, a "hyper-levitation elevator" flew in. Climbing the rope ladder, a handsome
middle-aged man took the baby. After comparing it to a clear photograph, he exclaimed with ecstatic joy, "It's him…
it's him…I even held him when he was a month old!" He turned to Tony and said, "Without
your help, we wouldn't have been able to get this done so smoothly. Your contribution is immense! I want to reward you properly. From
now on, you are the Minister of the Interior of the military government." The middle-aged man congratulated him with a smile.

"Qin Pan, I don't want to be the Minister of the Interior. I only ask that you keep your promise and return Maria to me."
Tony lowered his head, still painfully immersed in extreme self-reproach—he had betrayed
the savior who had cared for and promoted him for so many years.

"I thought it was something big! Oh, look! Isn't that Maria?" Qin Pan smiled and
pointed to a woman in white on the cliff.

Tony stared intently, and there she was—his goddess, Maria! He excitedly waved in her direction
, and Maria saw him too. She jumped up and shouted, "Tony! Tony!"

"Hehe... don't get too excited, you'll be able to hold her in your arms soon..."

At this moment, Tony suddenly felt a pain in his back. He struggled to turn around and said, "You..."

"Hahaha... do you think I would return such a beauty to you for nothing? She's already
mine, go to hell! The Prime Minister is waiting for you in the underworld!" Qin Pan proudly waved his "helium
gun" and then kicked him in the chest.

And so, carrying a huge secret, Tony fell off the cliff.

Qin Pan, brimming with smugness, picked up a wine glass, poured in a 560-year-old Louis 81, downed it in one gulp,
glanced down at the great white sharks faintly visible below the cliff, nodded in satisfaction, and then, without hesitation,
tossed the infant out of the cabin door, saying with a hint of regret, "Go, the great white sharks will take you to paradise
. What a lovely child! It's just a pity you were born in the wrong place."

"Hahaha... This will be my world from now on. Democracy, freedom, let them all go to
hell ..." Qin Pan said triumphantly.

At this moment, he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his abdomen: "Ouch..." and then collapsed to the ground, panting.

From the inconspicuous bar, a person crawled out, looking at Qin Pan with pity, and said coldly, "Qin
Pan, you're too smug. The show isn't over yet!"

"Eagle? What are you doing here?" Qin Pan's face turned pale instantly, and he said in surprise.

"Heh heh, I've been here all along, didn't expect that, did you? I always like dealing with smart people, and you
're one of them, but you're still not smart enough." The man called Eagle said smugly, "Heh heh,
the wine you drank was poisoned by her a long time ago."

"Damn it! How did you bribe that bitch?" Qin Pan struggled to move, but his limbs were already
beyond his control.

"I was already tired of that bitch before giving her to you. Hehe, I just did a little surgery on her,
and she's a virgin again, hahaha..."

"Wait, I have something to say..." Qin Pan said.

Eagle sneered, pulled out his "Hydrogen Gun" and pointed it at Qin Pan: "Save your breath, your loyal
bodyguard was already taken care of by us, so you're useless now. However, your corpse is still somewhat useful."

Qin Pan was a smart man; he knew that Eagle wanted to use him as a killed rebel leader to
boast to the council, but before he could finish his thought, the gun fired!

...

The play has ended, and the eagle hums a cheerful tune...

That evening, the anchors of various television stations, suppressing their grief, repeatedly broadcast the following news:
The military conspiracy to overthrow the democratic River Moon Federal Government has been completely crushed: Qin Pan, the
rebel Qin Pan's name will be forever nailed to the pillar of shame of the River Moon Federation.
The members of the provisional government, with Richard as prime minister, will be sworn in at the Palace of Democracy in two days...

At this moment, in a corner of the Tianlong Empire's palace, someone is contemplating suicide in agony. He cries out, "I hate you!"

A pool of blood stained the sea surface, and white sharks, attracted by the smell of blood, are gathering in droves, stirring
the sea into a frenzy.

A small great white shark, barely getting a taste of its prey, was chased aside by the shark king…
Swallowing

its fill of blood, it was restless when it felt something fall from the sky. It
quickly opened its massive jaws and swallowed the object whole. Before it could even chew, fearing it would be stolen again,
it closed its mouth and fled into the open sea.

At that moment, a specialized shark-catching vessel spotted the lone great white shark, used a wide-angle tranquilizer
to stun it, and then used a titanium alloy net to trap the unfortunate, already unconscious great white shark.
It was then hoisted high into an automated shark processing berylliumizer.

Just as the workers were about to gut the shark and extract its treasure and heart, the work suddenly stopped.
A freckled young woman, who had been searching for other sharks, glanced at the screen and was horrified! Good heavens!
There was a live baby inside the shark's belly!

She quickly operated the machine to remove the baby, who was smiling innocently.

The young woman washed the blood off the baby with warm water, thinking to herself, "This child is so lucky! He
survived ! I've been married for ten years and haven't even given birth, and my husband dumped me... Could it be that
God took pity on me and sent this baby through a white shark?"

What a charming little face! The more she looked at him, the more she loved him, and she couldn't help but kiss him a few times, but the baby started crying loudly
. Because the young woman had no experience caring for a baby, she was sweating profusely. She first put her shriveled breast
into the baby's mouth, but unexpectedly, the baby cried even harder. In desperation, she picked up the necklace that had been wrapped around
the baby's wrist and waved it in front of him. Strangely enough, as soon as he saw the necklace, he stopped crying
; but as soon as she put it down, he started crying again. The young woman had no choice but to hang the necklace around the little baby's neck. At
this point no matter how much she kissed or nibbled at the baby, he stopped crying and even laughed softly.

To thank the great white shark that brought her the baby, the young woman, for the first time ever, released it, and for the first time, didn't calculate
how much money she had lost.

She dared not open the letter, fearing it would affect her resolve to keep the baby. She
hid this crucial letter about the baby's origins in the lowest drawer of her wardrobe, but feeling uneasy,
she finally tucked it into the lining of her favorite pink bra, intending to give it to him before she died.
Chapter 2 ◆ Extremely Lucky

"Baisha! Baisha! Where are you? Come home for dinner!"

Hearing her mother's anxious voice, Li Baisha hid behind a large tree, refusing to come out.

Her mother's calls grew more urgent: "Baby, don't scare Mommy, come out quickly..."
Her voice was now tinged with tears.

It was a thousand-year-old locust tree, its branches and leaves lush, its trunk reaching towards the sky. Li Baisha didn't dare breathe, remaining
pressed against the tree. Suddenly, he felt his feet slip
and One of his little hands was trapped in the pit, unable to move, and he couldn't help but cry.

His mother, hearing the noise, was startled and rushed over, picking up her beloved child. She soothed him, "Don't cry,
don't cry! Mommy will buy you new clothes and chocolates, my little darling. Whatever you want to eat, Mommy will buy it for you!"

This trick really worked! Li Baisha stopped crying, hugged his mother's neck, and sweetly said, "Mommy, you're so good! You
're the best mommy in the world..."

His mother smiled broadly, beaming with joy...

As he washed his hands to prepare for dinner, Li Baisha threw a rough, uneven object he was holding into
the basin and washed it along with the food. After dinner, Li Baisha picked up the object and examined it carefully. What was it?
If a gambler were nearby, they would surely tell him it was the most interesting and fun mahjong set!

Eleven

years passed in the blink of an eye, and Li Baisha was now a tenth-grade student. He wasn't particularly handsome, but he had a dashing air about him
for his young age, and he was also very charming, so the girls in his class liked to play with him,
and they often came to his house to do their homework together.

Not only girls, but even the animals liked him. His neighbor, an older woman, owned a purebred sheepdog named "Jacka,"
who would wag its tail and follow him around all the time. Today, seeing him come home from school, it ran over to play happily, but
Li Baisha was in a bad mood and accidentally stepped on its left leg.

Jacka got angry and bit Li Baisha's butt, causing blood to flow freely. Li Baisha was furious and
was about to beat the dog up when the older woman came back from outside, saw that Li Baisha had been bitten, and quickly called for
an ambulance to take him to the hospital for a rabies vaccination. Li Baisha kept saying it was his own carelessness and had nothing
to do with "Jack," so the aunt liked him even more and praised him repeatedly in front of his mother, Li Fang. Li Fang
was initially very angry. What kind of lousy dog dared to bite my baby? After hearing the neighbor's praise, she turned her anger into joy,
glad that she had "gave birth" to a good son and a good darling.

Several days passed, and Jack was still snuggling close to Li Baisha as usual, while Li Baisha
affectionately hugged and stroked him. He took a piece of Jack's favorite crunchy bone from his schoolbag and secretly
put it in its food bowl before going home to do his homework.

That evening, Jack became agitated and went berserk, biting his owner's little daughter and nearly
attacking his owner, before being shot dead by the specialized "rabies control team."

That day, his mother bought Baisha a newly released "nitrogen light particle
microscope .

Li Baisha, who was now almost as tall as his mother, happily kissed her and then took the instrument to
his room to study it.

After studying a few leaves, Li Baisha casually picked something up from the table and placed it under the
microscope . It was a seemingly ordinary mahjong tile. Upon closer inspection, he was surprised to find characters on the tile and
quickly began to study it carefully.

It turns out this was carved by a gambling master. In his youth, he was invincible at gambling, but in his later years, for some unknown
reason, he became obsessed with carving and even became a master. The older one gets, the more attached one becomes
to their possessions, so he spent five years carving his life's gambling wisdom onto a mahjong tile,
which ended up in Bai Sha's hands.

From then on, his mother noticed that her usually restless son was coming home on time every day
and would lock himself in his room to do his "homework." His mother was overjoyed. However, one day while cleaning
his room, she noticed many tattered playing cards on the floor, but didn't pay much attention.

A few years later, Li Bai Sha was a dashing student at the Federal Space Meteorological Military Academy,
a military academy in the Federation's history that had never produced a general. But
his joy turned to sorrow , resulting in a zero score. Fortunately,
a high-achieving girl provided the answers, allowing him to cheat smoothly in his earlier subjects, so he was still able to attend a school,
albeit a not-so-good one. He didn't care much, as his family was powerless, poor, and without influence; even if he got into
a good school, it would be a waste.

At the academy, although he was popular with girls, he couldn't find the spark to pursue them
. Incredibly, he was still a virgin.

Then one day, after skipping classes for several days and spending his time at the casino, he was so engrossed in
winning that he was taken by Lianyi, a waitress who had long admired him. The first time, he was incredibly nervous
and didn't know what pleasure was. But afterwards, due to his exceptional comprehension, he could always make
Lianyi scream with pleasure, even a towel couldn't stop her from crying. Lianyi was so feminine that Bai Sha
had no interest in the other girls at the academy.

Whenever he was at the academy, he would go to the library to research cosmology, meteorology, and geology;
he loved novelty and the strange. As for his major subjects…! He would skip exams whenever possible, and cheat on tests. Fortunately, his sources of
cheating were readily available, making him a "genius" in the eyes of his teachers.

Since entering university, Li Baisha's wallet had inexplicably become bulging. He was incredibly generous to the girls who helped him cheat on
tests , buying them clothes and shoes, making them swoon.
He was also very generous to his classmates and teachers, so he was very popular.

However, an unexpected incident severely damaged Li Baisha's illustrious image.

That day, he accompanied several female classmates who had just helped him pass his exams to buy new clothes, only to be
robbed by some petty thieves. He was terrified, his legs trembling. After the robbers robbed him of everything
, they set their sights on the girls, dragging him into a dark alley. The girls cried in terror, calling out, "
Brother Baisha, help us!" But he dared not move. A gleaming, sharp knife was pointed directly at him
! A cry for help lingered in his throat, but he couldn't utter a sound. Thankfully, a passing lady called the police, and
the disheveled girls were rescued by the timely arrival of the "flying saucer police." One of the pretty girls
even had her underwear pulled down—what a close call!

The Federal Military Commission suddenly notified them that the Chairman would be attending the academy's 280th anniversary celebration. This was
the first time since the founding of the nation that such a high-ranking figure had been welcomed. Rumor had it that the
academy hadn't been shut down because the renowned Federal Military God Klaus (the tenth
Chairman of the Galactic Federation Military Commission), who had single-handedly saved the day, had personally issued the order to establish the academy. To commemorate his achievements, the
academy was allowed to exist, albeit in a semi-dead state. The academy's leaders scrambled to complete
all ensuring everything was flawless and pleasing the Chairman so he would approve more funding—
this was merely the Dean's wish. Several Vice Deans were eager to seize this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to
advance their own careers.

The chairman spoke at length about his latest research findings:
the theory of . The lecture lasted for over two hours, and the graduating students and faculty standing in the college square
listened with unprecedented enthusiasm, frequently
bursting into applause. Of course, there were also some oblivious individuals who were dozing off.

"I believe many of you students here have specifically researched this topic. If you are interested, you can discuss it
with ." Perhaps infected by the enthusiastic atmosphere, the chairman was in a good mood.

All the teachers and students, who had never experienced anything like this before, were dumbfounded, exchanging bewildered glances, unsure of what to do.

Li Baisha had only secretly returned to his dormitory around 8:00 AM, but he had worked too hard the night before. Half-asleep
, he felt the surroundings were very quiet. He stretched out a large yawn—the ceremony was over!

Standing behind the chairman, the sweating dean, at this critical moment of uncertainty, suddenly
noticed someone in the crowd raising their hand. Good heavens! Finally, a lifeline appeared! He excitedly pointed over there:
"Please, that student, come up to the stage."

Following the dean's gesture, countless eyes focused on this person. This was their savior, their hero;
we must remember him!

Still dazed, Li Baisha, surrounded by his classmates, finally came to his senses.

"God, what have I done?"

Fortunately, his best friend Qin Tian, who had been standing beside him, reminded him in time, "He's talking about
the theory of interstellar subspace positioning. The Chairman has invited you to speak up." He then made a face.

Glancing at the "Neon Atom Time Recorder" broadcasting live, Li Baisha walked towards the stage, pondering
his next move . He thought to himself, "Damn it, thank goodness I've studied this course thoroughly, otherwise I'd be in big trouble today.
Although I've never met the Chairman, he can't be more troublesome than that old loan shark, right?"

Standing on the stage, Li Baisha gave a crisp military salute, then looked the Chairman up and down
before exclaiming in an exaggerated tone, "I dare say you're only in your early fifties." Seeing the Chairman's smiling
expression, he continued in an emotional tone, "Right now, I feel as if I'm talking to a learned
scholar . I greatly admire your profound knowledge, as one of the best graduates of this college in your field."
He glanced at the audience, where he received applause from the teachers and students, who clearly believed him to be right.

The chairman nodded without speaking. Li Baisha continued with deep respect, "What I want to say is that even by
the most stringent standards, the theory you presented is the most insightful and brilliant conclusion I have ever seen regarding
subspace ! This is not because you are the chairman of the Federal Military Commission.
The teachers and students present can attest to this; I am the most diligent student in this academy."

The teachers and students below the stage picked up where Li Baisha left off, saying, "Yes, this guy knows everything,
but he's incredibly diligent."

"But, sir, please forgive my impertinence, but if you were to briefly describe the prehistoric
laws governing cosmic geology, I think we would understand your theory more clearly, wouldn't you say, teachers and
students?" Li Baisha turned to the audience.

"Yes, Li Baisha." Amidst the cheers of the audience, the chairman remembered the
name .

"At the same time, what I admire even more is that you are not only a scholar, but also a great poet!" Li
Baisha racked his brains and finally managed to recite two of the Chairman's poems, which he had once severely criticized as utter nonsense.

It was truly unexpected that a student at the military academy could recite his poems word for word—
the name "Li Baisha" was deeply imprinted on the Chairman's heart.

Before leaving, the Chairman patted Li Baisha on the shoulder affectionately and said, "Our great Heyue Federation
needs more pillars of society like you to dedicate your
wisdom and talent We also hope that when the motherland needs you, you will step forward." The Chairman looked kindly at the "
talented" Li Baisha.

Both those present and viewers watching on television greatly admired the Chairman, praising his eloquence,
demeanor, and undeniable leadership.

Amidst the admiring gazes of all the teachers and students, the Chairman walked towards his car, but no one noticed that Li
Baisha was quietly approaching a charming female attendant with almond-shaped eyes and rosy cheeks who was lagging behind the crowd.

"Miss, you dropped something," Li Baisha said to her.

The young lady's eyes darted around, and she noticed a crystal-clear, shimmering necklace on the ground. She hesitated for a moment
and said, "This...this shouldn't be mine?"

Li Baisha picked up the necklace and said, "I saw it fall off your neck just now, how can it not be yours
?"

The young lady subconsciously touched her neck: Ah! She had completely forgotten to wear her necklace today.

Li Baisha, with gentlemanly manners, helped her put it on her fair neck and said softly, "My lovely beauty,
my name is Li Baisha."

Watching his dashing figure disappear into the distance, the young lady remained silent, her eyes revealing a deep, indescribable
feeling.

Chapter 3◆ Promotion and Romantic Encounters

One day after graduation, Qin Tian finally managed to wake Li Baisha, who was lying on the bed like a dead pig, and exclaimed in a strange voice,
"The Chief of the General Staff wants to see you at three o'clock this afternoon! Hehe, I also want to see him! You little rascal, don't forget me if you
get promoted !"

Li Baisha walked down the street, feeling a mix of excitement and trepidation.

On the surface, the white building in front of Li Baisha looked no different from any other office building,
but the armed military police standing at the entrance subtly revealed its uniqueness.

Everyone knew that this building was the headquarters of the "Heyue Federal National Defense Force General Staff," a place not only coveted by ordinary officers but also constantly anticipated by the proud generals
, who wondered when its owner would summon them
; and all personnel appointments and dismissals in the military originated from here.

Li Baisha, of course, also enjoyed coming and going from here, but previously he had never had the opportunity or the right to be near it.

After passing through countless checkpoints, he finally arrived at Chief of the General Staff Adolf's office. His beautiful
secretary was already standing at the door, greeting him with a smile: "Mr. Li Baisha, please come with me." He quickly
composed himself, smiling broadly, and said, "Miss, you are so beautiful!"
How ?

The secretary smiled happily; she had received many guests, but this gentleman's smile was the most
unique and genuine.

The enormous desk immediately came into view, and behind it, concealed by the back of a leather chair, peeked out a head
mostly .

"Student Li Baisha has come under orders to receive instructions from Your Excellency, Chief of the General Staff," he said, standing at attention.

But the person behind the chair remained silent.

Li Baisha stood there, not daring to move.

After a long while, a lazy voice, as if just waking up, came from behind the leather chair: "You are Li
Baisha?" "

This student is indeed Li Baisha."

With a "click," the leather chair spun around. Wow! How could there be such an ugly man in this world! His hair
was haphazardly scattered around his head, bald in the middle, and his large, bulbous nose was set in his uneven, pockmarked
face . His ugly, hawk-like eyes occasionally flashed with an unpredictable light.

He thought to himself, "If I were that delicate secretary, I would have quit long ago," but his face
showed no sign of it, remaining calm and composed.

Suddenly, a "poof" sound rang out in the room, followed by a strange smell that filled the entire space.

Li Baisha remained composed and steady.

"Hmm, this kid's really obedient; he's good material!"

The Chief of Staff scrutinized him carefully, but his expression softened considerably. He suddenly stood up and read aloud from
a : "Li Baisha is hereby appointed as
Lieutenant Colonel Commander of the Fifth Independent Squadron of the Third Fleet of the Second Army Group of the Far Eastern Army. Signatory: Adolf, Chief of Staff of the Galactic Federation National Defense Forces."

Before he finished speaking, Li Baisha desperately suppressed his inner elation and cried out gratefully, "Thank you
, Chief of Staff! I will certainly live up to your expectations, I...I..."

"What do you want? Feel free to ask." The usually aloof Chief of Staff was quite satisfied with his
performance and asked in a slightly friendly tone.

"Respected Mr. Adolf, as you know, I don't have much ability, how could I possibly shoulder such a
heavy responsibility ?" He glanced at the person opposite him again, "So please, no matter what, guide me, I will be extremely
grateful." Li Baisha's face was full of humility.

He was a smart man: "You also know that, according to the unwritten rule, even if someone graduates from your academy
makes a huge splash, they will only be a captain, a civilian officer. If it weren't for the Chairman personally..." The Chief of Staff, who had never spoken so much to a
stranger , stopped and regained his composure, saying, "Tell me your request."

Li Baisha said sincerely, "I might be good at meteorological and geological research, but I
really and need someone to guide me. And your prestige in the army is unmatched, so please
help me no matter what, otherwise I would rather not be this commander and go back to teaching."

Chief of Staff Adolf couldn't help but sigh, then walked out silently without saying another word.

Li Baisha stared at his retreating figure, then happily picked up a slip of paper, folded it several times, put it in his jacket pocket,
and buttoned it up. He then took out something he had prepared beforehand, walked to his desk, and gently
placed it in the drawer.

As he was leaving, Li Baisha said to his beautiful secretary, "You look very familiar, like
I've seen you somewhere before?"

The beauty rolled her eyes at him. What era is this? Still using such an old-fashioned method?

"That TV series last night, wasn't it called 'Love in the Aegean Sea'?" he asked earnestly, looking at the beauty. "What was the
female lead's name again?"

"Maggie Cheung."

Li Baisha didn't say anything more, smiled, and entered the elevator.

After a while, the beauty smiled, a very sweet smile.

Clutching his appointment letter, Li Baisha felt refreshed and elegantly hailed a taxi, heading straight for the most famous casino on Planet
Bruni (the capital of the River Moon Federation), "Las Vegas," which was also his lair.

A waitress, so alluring she seemed almost irresistible, greeted him seductively. Li Baisha gave
her a cool whistle, then affectionately wrapped his arm around her slender waist, saying, "Lianyi, my little darling, have you missed me lately?"

"Missing you? Of course I have! I think about you day and night, I can't eat or sleep properly..." Lianyi rolled
her eyes, looking incredibly charming, and scolded Li Baisha, "You heartless bastard, I wonder
which pretty girl you've been chasing lately, do you even remember me?"

The two laughed and joked for a while, and after getting what they wanted, Lianyi vanished like the wind, attending to
other customers.

After exchanging his chips, Li Baisha easily made his way through the crowd to the poker room.

A group of people, both men and women, were playing quietly and elegantly. He approached but didn't
recognize any noticing an empty seat, he sat down, took out a cigarette to light it, but then realized no one
was smoking, so he awkwardly put it down.

A beautiful young woman with strikingly pretty features and deep blue eyes was having a
lucky ; her table was overflowing with chips.

Li Baisha didn't look at his cards, his eyes glued to the woman, scrutinizing her face and her prominent breasts…
Damn, he couldn't see anything below her waist! But he could imagine her alluring figure.

When the waiter politely asked for the third time if he wanted his cards dealt, he suddenly snapped out of his daze, shook his head,
and indicated he needed to see them first.

The woman won the second round, the third, and the fourth.

The gentlemen at the table started to get impatient, their chatter increasing: "Why this hand again?"

In the fifth round, Li Baisha signaled for the waiter to deal, but he quickly conceded defeat.

In the sixth round, his hand was good, and he raised his bets several times, but he still lost because the fourth card
seemed utterly inexplicable.

The seventh, eighth, and ninth rounds… before even seeing the fourth card, he conceded. Small losses are better than wins;
when luck is against you, give up—this was the law of gambling, and he always adhered to it.

Now, a large pile of chips had accumulated in front of the beautiful young lady, while several men had left.

Li Baisha had already lost quite a bit, and the young lady was somewhat flustered. If she could win just one more round, she would
have enough money to go where she wanted to go.

In the tenth round, Li Baisha remained completely calm, almost with his eyes closed. After hearing the waiter's count, he
pushed out his chips.

Only two people remained, and the duel was now settled. Smelling the faint fragrance in the air, Li Baisha thought
: "Little girl, where do you think you're going this time?"

The young lady remained unchanged, her face expressionless.

It was already the fourth card, and Li Baisha suddenly couldn't resist his craving for a cigarette. He took out his cigarette case, pulled out a
cigarette, and was about to light it when a delicate white hand reached out from the side and lit it for him. He glanced sideways and saw a socialite dressed in
a flamboyant manner . He casually pulled her into his arms.

Exhaling a smoke ring, looking at the beauty through the mist, he felt a unique sensation: "Awesome!"

Seeing her opponent's pathetic pretense, the beautiful young woman felt nauseous and thought angrily, "Tonight I'll
make you lose everything, even strip naked..." But she hesitated. This was her last bet; if she won, all
her problems be solved; but if she lost... she dared not think any further.

Just as she was about to push out an equal bet, the man opposite her suddenly pulled out a checkbook from his pocket, quickly
filled in a number with many zeros, signed his name, and handed it to the waiter: "Please, after verification, help me..."
"Bring me chips of the same amount!" A sharp-eyed woman exclaimed in surprise: "My God!"

A short while later, the waiter returned, carrying a bag that looked neither large nor small, and appeared to
be struggling. Seeing Li Baisha's gesture, he placed the bag of chips in the center of the table.

The young woman looked at the waiter with questioning eyes. The waiter, understanding, politely replied,

"Miss, this gentleman has placed ten million yuan in chips." The beautiful blue-eyed woman felt a surge of bitterness. She
only had seven million at most, three million short. What to do? Should she just give up like this? She was extremely
unwilling . She was about to win big, and this damned guy was even going to exchange for chips!

Unsettled, she asked in a negotiating tone, "Sir, I don't have much cash on hand right now.
Could I give you my hand as collateral?" The beautiful woman's face twisted in pain. There was no way out.
Finally, she gritted her teeth and said bitterly.

Li Baisha was somewhat shocked. What a ruthless girl! He had never seen anything like this before! The waiter, not daring to make the decision,
called over the casino manager. The manager said, "According to the law, there's no strict rule against pressing arms,
but it requires your consent, sir."

"What? You don't agree?" The young woman looked at the hateful man in despair and shouted, "Are you
even a man? What do you want? I'll spend the night with you, fine!"

Hmm, quite bold! I like it!

The damned, hateful man shook his head and said something even more infuriating: "One night isn't enough
! How about you spend a month with me? Okay?"

"A month it is." The blue-eyed woman was furious; who knew who would last the longest?

But that despicable guy still wouldn't let her go: "What guarantee do you have?"

The woman was enraged and shouted, "Fine, I'll write an IOU to the notary here, are you satisfied now
?"

"Hmm, that's a good suggestion, write it!" What a greedy man!

The game could finally continue. The pretty blue-eyed girl's face was contorted with rage: "You filthy man! Go to
hell! You deserve your bad luck!"

Everyone gasped: "Four Aces!" Four Aces! No hand
could beat them except a straight flush!

The despicable man shoved the socialite aside, stuffed a handful of chips into her collar, slapped her on the butt,
pushed her out of his arms, and then calmly gestured for the waiter to reveal the cards.

Wow, a straight flush! Good heavens! A winning hand!

The despicable man leered at the girl he was about to win, and said with a knowing look, "
How about it? Girl, spend a month with me?"

The beautiful blue-eyed girl's eyes were filled with despair: everything was gone, it was all over!

She tried to flip the table and escape, but her arms were already firmly gripped by the casino thugs who were on guard, and she couldn't
move .

Truly hopeless!

The manager, with a gentlemanly air, said, "Miss, this is your fault. You ran away.
How are we, the middlemen, supposed to explain this to this gentleman?"

The girl shouted, "If I didn't want to, would he dare to rape me?"

The manager, fawningly speaking on behalf of the winner, said, "This gentleman certainly wouldn't dare to rape you, but about your IOU!"
Saying this, the manager handed the IOU to Li Baisha's hand: "Sir, if you are willing to transfer it to our company at a suitable price
, we will naturally make her repay the money." Then he shouted loudly, "What if she doesn't repay the money
?"

The thugs shouted, "Disfigure her! And then..."

She knew all too well where she was!

She was terrified!

The despicable winner lightly hooked the beauty's chin, clicking his tongue repeatedly, "What a beautiful little girl!" He
put his arm around her slender waist. The beauty did not resist, but her expression was full of resentment.

Seeing that the joke had gone too far, Li Baisha released his grip and suddenly said seriously, "Alright, little sister, the joke
has gone too far. I'm really sorry. Bye-bye." After saying that, he bent down to pick up the bag of chips on the ground and walked out of the hall.
Li Baisha thought to himself, "You can't rush when you're picking up girls. Judging from her anxious look, she must need the money urgently. I
'll..."

At this moment, Li Baisha, who liked to play a few rounds and then rest, was sitting comfortably at the table, tightly embracing a beautiful woman with a great
figure , whispering to each other, and sipping a 150-year-old Louis XIX.

Just as he was about to get up, he heard a voice say to him, "Sir, may I speak with you alone?"

Li Baisha turned around and saw the pretty girl who had lost so badly earlier. He was giving him a wicked laugh and said,
"Hey pretty girl, go home and get your money before you come back!"

"If I really stayed with you for a month, would you give me my money back?" the pretty girl pleaded, trying
her best not to cry. She had been secretly following him for a long time; he was a lecherous gambler with an unusually good luck!

"I'm telling you, stop bothering me. There are plenty of handsome guys around here." The lecherous man was overjoyed. The fish was about to
take the bait; he couldn't rush it, he had to take it slow.

He walked outside, pretending to try and get rid of the beautiful but clingy girl. Picking up girls requires patience;
if you're unwilling, even if you end up in bed, it's pointless.

Li Baisha wandered around several places, sometimes fast, sometimes slow, before entering a luxury hotel. After getting his room key, he called
out, "Room 3808, hmm, very auspicious! Thank you, miss." He gave the receptionist a sweet
smile.

The lecherous man didn't close the door. He hurriedly took a quick shower and then lay down on the bed, waiting for something

After a while, just as his anxiety was building, he heard the door open: She's here!

In the darkness, Li Baisha eagerly embraced the still shivering woman: "Sweetie, is it cold outside?"
Forget everything else, he quickly stripped her naked, kissing and nibbling at her passionately. The woman
breathed but there seemed to be tear tracks on her face. The lecherous man didn't have time to think; he was too excited. But why
were her breasts bigger than he'd imagined? Haha… Finally, the ship entered the harbor. She screamed and began to sob.

"I've won the lottery!" Li Baisha thought to himself. "I never imagined that this woman with such a great figure would still be a virgin."
He moved more gently until the woman's reaction grew stronger, then he began his vigorous assault.

Finally, the battle ended, his lingering lustful claws still searching the mountain peaks and valleys.

The woman was finally exhausted, wrapped her arms around his waist, and the two fell into a deep sleep.

By then, the room was brightly lit. Li Baisha stretched comfortably, stroking the full and
smooth body beside him, saying, "My little darling, you're so alluring."

Suddenly, he sensed something was wrong. There were faint tear tracks on the girl's face, and she was staring coldly
at Li Baisha. After a while, seeing that he was awake, she held out her small hand to his face.

The lecherous man pretended to be oblivious and said, "You came here on your own initiative, I didn't promise anything, and besides, I was exhausted
last night , you should give me a little tip, right?"

The woman was taken aback at first, then became anxious, and a drop of water dripped from the tip of her pretty nose.

As her tears fell onto her clothes, she used some unknown strength to violently rip her underwear,
sneering, "Now who will still say I did it willingly? If I make a sound, you'll..." Terrified
, Li Baisha could only look at her pitifully, at her mercy.

"Although I hate you, I really need money today. Money is very important to me, so if you
don't return the money I took last night, I'll have to call the police and jump out the window." With this leverage over him
, the lecherous man had no choice but to surrender, pulling out the barely warm check and
handing it over.

"I still stand by my promise to spend a month with you, but I have an urgent matter to attend to." She put on her clothes
and staggered out the door.

"Remember to come back! I won't cancel this room; the key is at the counter," Li Baisha said urgently.
He was truly unwilling to accept this; he hadn't expected to lose so much.

He stared at her astonishing size, then thought: This girl is really something!

Li Baisha checked the "Heyue Encyclopedia," but few of the terms "home" suited him. "Exquisite beauty
connoisseur" was definitely the most satisfying term.

He took out a pen and wrote down Xiaoyu's information: Number: 10, Name: Yang Mingyu, Dimensions:
37 , 21, 36, Virgin, Consumed on January 18th, 3894 (Cosmic Calendar), Expected to enjoy it for a month.

Chapter 4 ◆ A Glorious Departure

The Fifth Independent Fleet's dedicated airport at the Apennine Fortress.

As Li Baisha, dressed in his brand-new lieutenant colonel uniform, walked onto the bridge, military music sounded at the opportune moment. Led by a
dozen , tens of thousands of officers and soldiers, already lined up neatly, saluted in unison.

A major stood by the gangway. Seeing him descend, he stepped forward and saluted again, saying, "
Chief of Staff of the Fifth Independent Squadron, Shikin, has come to greet Your Excellency, Commander." Li Baisha, beaming, quickly stepped down and returned the salute, saying,
"Thank you for your hard work. I'm so sorry to have kept you waiting." The two clasped hands tightly. "

Your Excellency, please allow me to introduce you to some of your colleagues. This is Deputy Chief of Staff Major Douglas…
This is Special Operations Commander Captain Hubble… This is Marine Corps Commander Lieutenant Has…" Each time Shikin introduced
someone, Li Baisha immediately stepped forward and warmly shook hands with them, shaking them exaggeratedly.

Li Baisha practically pulled Shikin and Douglas into a top-of-the-line luxury sedan, the "
Desera . Along the way, Li Baisha chatted and laughed, even recounting an embarrassing incident from his childhood,
instantly bridging the gap between the three.

Qin Tian, the adjutant and close friend, sat obediently in the front row without uttering a sound; he had no right to speak at this moment.

The long line of cars drove into a magnificent, gilded building. Li Baisha got out and stood in front of the building, his face
expressionless , but inwardly marveling. He couldn't believe that such a luxurious and high-class
office building existed in this remote fortress. It was truly an eye-opener.

Chief of Staff Shikin, with his full beard, asked in a low voice, "Sir, you must be tired from your journey. Would you please go to
your lodgings and rest for a while?" Li Baisha also felt a little tired and nodded. Just as he was about to step forward, Deputy Chief of Staff
Douglas stepped forward a few paces and said with a smile, "Let me lead the way. How could I trouble the esteemed Chief
of ?" He gestured for Li Baisha to pass, then took a half-step back, blocking
Shikin's path.

Higgin glared at him, but didn't dare to retaliate. Douglas pretended not to notice and, along the way,
vividly described the local historical sites and beautiful gardens. Li Baisha was very satisfied.

In the luxurious yet elegant residence, Li Baisha carefully groomed himself and stood in front of the bright
mirror . He saw a handsome man with a full head of black hair, his ice-blue eyes clear and bright, radiating a soft light
. His casual clothes, mainly black with silver accents, clung casually to his well-proportioned body, further highlighting his dashing and handsome
appearance .

He had a smug look on his face and looked up at Qin Tian, who was already prepared beside him, asking, "Handsome, isn't it?"

"Handsome, incredibly handsome! So handsome it's almost unbearable..." Qin Tian, who had been ignored for half a day, shouted irritably
.

Li Baisha chuckled a few times and handed over a check: "I'll give you a day off tomorrow, okay?"

Qin Tian was overjoyed, hugged his shoulder, kissed him, and said excitedly, "I absolutely love you
! My good brother!"

"Are you kidding me? I'm not gay..." Li Baisha exclaimed.

The two looked at each other and burst into laughter.

Li Baisha put on a top hat, looked refreshed, and walked out of the room, followed by the eager
Qin Tian.

"Sir, I know this place very well." Deputy Chief of Staff Douglas, dressed in civilian clothes, stood alone outside
the door .

What an understanding fellow! Thinking this to himself, Li Baisha smiled and said, "We were just worried about not finding a guide,
so please lead the way."

The three of them walked out the gate chatting and laughing, and were about to get into Douglas's car when the chief of staff approached.
Shikin pointed to the female officer behind him and said, "This is your personal bodyguard captain, Lieutenant Zhao Yu."
Li Baisha didn't hear a word Shikin said after that, because in his eyes, there was only this stunningly beautiful woman in military uniform
. A few strands of her jet-black hair playfully peeked out from under her women's flat cap, and her pale blue eyes were deep and bright.
Her lips were a deep crimson, her teeth like ivory, and a pair of shallow dimples accentuated her exquisitely beautiful face.
Beneath her collar, only a sliver of her fair and delicate neck skin was visible, dazzling and almost blinding. Her
impeccably tailored military uniform perfectly highlighted her curvaceous figure, and with each step she took, she
exuded an air of heroic spirit.

My God, such a peerless beauty!

Just as they were staring in disbelief, her long legs came to a sudden stop in front of Li Bai, and a cold
, emotionless voice rang in his ear: "Guard Captain Zhao Yu reporting for duty, requesting instructions, sir."
Although the crowd was already accustomed to such sights, they were still overwhelmed by the radiance of this peerless beauty, lowering their heads and
unable to look her in the eye.

Li Bai leered at her, his hand outstretched, and stupidly asked, "Are you my
captain ?" The words had barely left his mouth when he wanted to slap himself. How could he have asked such a foolish question?

The beautiful woman didn't extend her hand; her delicate, elegant eyebrows twitched slightly before returning to their usual calm. Her
eyes were fixed straight ahead as she coldly replied, "Yes, sir." Standing to the side, Qin Tian, seeing his superior's
embarrassed and helpless expression, felt a pang of pity and said, "Captain Zhao, we have some
personal matters to attend to. You don't need to come along." "According to regulations, I must always be by my superior's side,"
Zhao Yu replied expressionlessly.

Douglas, who had been in a good mood, lost his temper and shouted, "You're not needed here anymore
. I order you not to follow me. Go back to your room and await orders." Zhao Yu replied coldly, "Fine,
but first, please have the army group commander amend the 'Commander's Protection Regulations.'" She added, "Besides, you
are not my direct superior now and have no right to command me." Douglas, stunned and embarrassed, lost
all composure, unbuttoned his uniform, and was about to lash out.

Seeing the situation spiraling out of control, Higgin quickly intervened, "As a superior, why are you arguing with
your subordinate ? What she said isn't wrong; the regulations are written in black and white." Then he turned to
Zhao Yu and scolded, "You're so rude! How dare you talk back to your superior? Apologize now!" Zhao Yu ignored him,
standing there expressionless.

Shikin leaned close to Li Baisha's ear with a strange expression and whispered, "Every commander of this fleet
must be equipped with a personal bodyguard captain, and she only obeys the commander's orders. No one has the authority to move her." Coming to his senses,
Li Baisha saw the two high-ranking officers standing awkwardly, but he didn't want to make things difficult for this stunningly beautiful woman.
So he said, "How about this, let's go back to my residence, have some tea, and chat? What do you think?"

The commander's intervention had defused the situation. Douglas was seething with anger. That damned guy! Always ruining my plans!
One day, I'll… Li Baisha thought, this is a golden opportunity! I must get my hands on you—Zhao Yu, my
little beauty!" He couldn't help but glance back at Zhao Yu following behind him.

Various vehicles were parked haphazardly in the courtyard, and all sorts of merchants and ordinary people were constantly
coming and going. The guards at the gate were practically non-existent, not even bothering to question them.

The office building resembled a marketplace, with all office doors wide open. Li Baisha casually stopped at the door of an
office , where he could hear the sounds of haggling: "Sir, my cargo isn't worth
that much money, why are you charging so much protection money?" "Nonsense, I say how much, that's how much. Are you in or not?"
the officer said.

"I'll do it, I'll do it..." The sound of banknotes being slammed on a table could
be faintly heard, followed by the emergence of a well-dressed, wealthy-looking older man, who was cursing rudely: "Damn it, they're
even more ruthless than pirates! You bunch of damned bastards, you might as well change your name to bandits." The man outside seemed to be in a
good mood and wasn't angry, ignoring him.

Li Baisha saw from the side that the merchant was all smiles, very happy.

Under Shikin's deliberate guidance, Li Baisha continued forward. In an office at the far end of the building, the door
was ajar . The air was thick with smoke and a foul odor. A group of men who looked like military officers were
gambling at several desks.

From a distance, one could hear voices inside: "Heard? Another new officer is coming..." "Yeah,
but what's it to you? Play your cards!" another said.

"Damn it, the previous officer was lucky. He made a fortune and got promoted two ranks,"
someone nearby said .

"A clueless bastard. If it weren't for his sister's connections... but his sister is really
sexy, she even slept with me," the last man said smugly.

"Stop bragging, you think you can do it?"

"What about me? I'm good at it."

"Hahaha, that's true, huge testicles..." A burst of boisterous laughter came from inside.

"I'm done playing! I've lost everything, not even enough money to pick up girls or keep a mistress." "Heh heh, damn it,
don't try to play the poor card in front of me. Last time I wanted to transfer you to another department as a company commander, why didn't you go? Don't even mention
a commander , even you little brat have made a fortune over the years, haven't you?" Li Baisha's expression was extremely ugly, and he turned and
stormed off.

This was a suburban department under Douglas's jurisdiction. Higgin, standing nearby, was secretly delighted. "Let's see
how Douglas handles this!"

Higgin shouted, "You bunch of bastards! How dare you gamble in a military stronghold! I'll teach you
a lesson !" This added fuel to the fire. The people left in the room were dumbfounded, looking at each other, speechless.

As soon as the car drove out of the compound, they heard a chaotic scene of people falling over and making a huge commotion. Li Baisha peered through the window and
saw commoners and merchants in various clothes being driven away from the courtyard by guards at gunpoint, while inside the building,
the sounds of tables and chairs clattering filled the air.

It seemed that this apparent disorder concealed another kind of orderly rule.

Across from him, Douglas fidgeted, vehemently protesting, "Sir, this is a complete frame-up! It must
be that old bastard Higgin's doing..." Li Baisha leaned back in his leather chair, closed his eyes, and remained silent.

Douglas grew anxious, stood up, pulled open his uniform, patted his chest, and shouted, "Sir, I,
Douglas, am utterly loyal to you! Look, my heart is red!" The person who decided his fate still hadn't...
"My achievements over the years are all here," Douglas said resolutely. "Please take a look, sir.
"

He then handed over a file with both hands. The commander extended his right hand and lightly pressed it onto the large desk, clearly
revealing . He then rose and walked into the lounge, ignoring them.

The adjutant, Qin Tian, took the file, opened it, and his face lit up with joy. He was about to speak when he noticed the finger marks on the desk. His expression
returned to normal, and he gently handed the file back to Douglas, saying with regret, "It seems your
work isn't quite done yet; your achievements aren't enough." Douglas gritted his teeth, put something into the file, and
handed it to Qin Tian. Qin Tian looked at it, shook his head, and shrugged.

Douglas hesitated, but seeing Qin Tian turn to leave, he reluctantly
took and stuffed it into the file.

At this moment, Qin Tian beamed, patted him on the shoulder, and said happily, "I knew you
'd done a great job , with outstanding achievements." Douglas smiled wryly, thinking, "You old codger, Shikin,
just you wait... And Li Baisha, you're too... too much, aren't you?"

Li Baisha, lying in bed, saw his adjutant's silly expression as he gleefully held up the file folder and found it somewhat amusing: He
really hadn't seen anything like this before.

Shikin, who had been waiting for several days without seeing any reaction from the Commander, reminded him, "
Commander , how should we handle what happened that day?" Li Baisha smiled and led him to the sofa, saying,
"Even if you didn't come to me, I would have. Here, these are the disciplinary actions." Shikin took the file folder and was dumbfounded. It
casually mentioned Douglas's leadership responsibility, but the list of those to be punished was very long. He looked again, and...
what kind of punishment was this?

He was about to speak up to persuade him, but Li Baisha, who had anticipated his words, earnestly said, "You're a
veteran leader of this fleet. Everyone makes mistakes. We should give them a chance to correct them, right? Take me
for example, I often make mistakes too, but we can't hold a grudge every time." Shigin was speechless.

When the room was empty, the adjutant Qin Tian gave his superior and brother a thumbs up: Brilliant!

Li Baisha reached out, and Qin Tian, as if by magic, handed him a cigarette and lit it for him. He took a leisurely puff
and said, "Where's my little beauty?" Qin Tian didn't answer, but pointed to the door.

"Hmm, let her in." Li Baisha understood perfectly well that to win a girl's heart, he had to get close to her and
understand her temperament; otherwise, there was no way to start. He glanced at Qin Tian beside him. This guy, for
some reason, was only greedy for money and not for women. But that's fine, I don't want to share a woman with my best friend or
be cuckolded .

The more Li Baisha looked at the beauty before him, the more his heart itched. His surging hormones constantly stimulated his
central nervous system, causing a noticeable physiological reaction in a certain part of his body.

Seeing his lecherous gaze, Zhao Yu felt nauseous and wanted to vomit.

After a long while, Li Baisha finally spoke: "Sit down, I have something to say."

"No." Zhao Yu completely ignored him.

Li Baisha didn't seem to care, walking to her side. A captivating, intoxicating fragrance wafted into his nostrils—
a delicate flower with thorns, easily pricked. "Don't rush, don't rush," he encouraged himself.

Li Baisha adopted a very serious expression and said, "I've called you here to ask you about this situation.
I hope you will answer my questions truthfully." He deliberately emphasized the word "commander."

"Yes, sir," the beauty replied in an icy tone.

Hmm, it's good that she's willing to speak. Li Baisha pondered his words while
looking at .

"Then let me ask you, when was our fortress built?"

"Cosmic Calendar 3765, sir." Not a single superfluous word.

"Alright, then let me ask you again, will you follow me wherever I go?"

"Yes, sir."

"So, when I go to the restroom, you'll stand outside the door, or when I go to pick up girls, you'll follow
behind?" Li Baisha was slowly getting used to her concise answering style, deliberately saying two things in one breath to see
how she would respond.

A moment of silence followed, Zhao Yu was extremely annoyed, how could there be such a person? But as a soldier, she couldn't refuse to answer
her superior 's questions, so she answered, "Yes, no, sir."

"Then if I sleep with a pretty girl, will you be there too?" Someone deliberately provoked her, observing her
expression.

At this moment, a blush crept onto Zhao Yu's icy face. Her pupils contracted, shooting out a piercing light, and her high, firm
breasts heaved rapidly, but gradually calmed down. She replied coldly and indifferently, "No, sir."

Li Baisha, who had been observing her expression, was quite puzzled and casually blurted out, "How is your mother?"

Zhao Yu was startled, her clenched fist relaxing.

Even in her daze, she was still adorable. Li Baisha silently admired her stunning beauty.

"She's fine, thank you, sir," Zhao Yu replied.

Li Baisha felt that she had said two extra words, and with a rare hint of warmth. Hmm, it seemed she
must love her mother very much.

"How many siblings do you have?" Li Baisha asked.

"One, sir," Zhao Yu replied.

After that, Li Baisha couldn't discern any change in her attitude; it remained nothing but indifference.
Li Baisha, who always considered himself very knowledgeable about women, was utterly perplexed.

An untimely knock made Li Baisha uncomfortable. "Come in," he said.

Douglas entered with a smile and said, "Sir, Liu Youcai, the chairman of the local Emperor Group, has been
waiting outside for a long time. He wants to see you, he..." He stopped abruptly upon seeing Zhao Yu.

Li Baisha said softly to the ice-cold beauty, "Xiao Yu, you can go out now, but don't go far." Zhao
Yu left quickly, expressionless.

Watching her lithe and graceful figure, Li Baisha was lost in thought.

Douglas, who had long seen through his superior's intentions but was powerless to do anything about it, could only say things his superior wanted to hear:
"That guy is really rich, practically a billionaire." Baisha's attention was immediately diverted, and he glared...
After a moment of calm, Douglas asked, "He must have something to say to me, right?" "It's nothing really, he
just wants to make friends with you, Commander," Douglas replied.

"It can't be that simple, can it?" Li Baisha was skeptical.

Douglas whispered mysteriously in Li Baisha's ear, and Li Baisha, satisfied with the answer,
smiled broadly: "Then let him in."

××××××××××

Qin Tian, oblivious to everything, stuffed food into his bulging cheeks, mumbling, "It's delicious,
much better than the pig slop I eat."

Surrounded by admirers, Li Baisha was enjoying this sumptuous meal. Seeing his adjutant Qin Tian's eating habits,
he found it somewhat amusing. He thought, "At least leave me some noodles!" and then stomped on Qin Tian's foot.

"Ouch, who the hell stepped on me?" Qin Tian cried out.

Liu Youcai and Douglas were fine, but the waitresses couldn't help themselves and
started giggling.

"What are you laughing at? Hurry up and get me an aperitif," Qin Tian, immune to the allure of beautiful women,
grumbled .

Although Qin Tian was initially annoyed by his embarrassment, all his displeasure vanished as they parted
.

Outside, Li Baisha glanced at Qin Tian, who understood. He walked to Douglas's car and said,
"Your car is so beautiful, can I drive it?"

Douglas made a funny face and said repeatedly, "Of course, of course."

Li Baisha got into the car, leaving the door open, intending to wait for Zhao Yu. Zhao Yu closed the door for him, sat in the front
passenger seat, and remained silent with a cold expression.

A man felt a bitter pang in his heart and secretly swore a poisonous oath to take this incredibly alluring yet cold-blooded
little wench to bed and make love to her for days and nights until she begged for mercy!

Men are all scoundrels; the more unattainable something is, the more they desire it, and Li Baisha was such a scoundrel,
and not just any ordinary scoundrel.

Chapter 5 ◆ A Powerful Assistant
Chief of Staff Shigin was recently quite depressed. Seeing the newly arrived commander getting
along , he was extremely displeased. When he was still the captain, Douglas was just a recent military academy
cadet, but in just a few years, Douglas was almost his equal.

The two had been fighting for years, but Shigin had lost far more often than he had won.

But for some reason, since Douglas became deputy chief of staff, despite being favored, his rank
had never improved; in terms of position, Shigin was still one rank below him, which was one of the few things that could console Shigin.

Facing the mountain of files on his desk, Shigin couldn't muster the energy to work on them.

Shigin wasn't actually old; he was only forty-eight this year. In public, he was a seasoned and respected
chief of , but in reality, he was bitter.

Approaching fifty, his rank remained low. Time seemed to relentlessly devour his
ambitions, each new officer younger than the last.

Because of his exceptional talent and early success—becoming a ship's captain at only twenty-two—he was arrogant and
disrespectful to his superiors, considering them incompetent and prone to criticizing their foolish actions
.

Now, among his classmates at military academy, he was the only one still holding the rank of major. Even
those he had always looked down upon were now colonels and deputy directors in the General Staff.

His secretary had quietly left for the third time; she had never seen her superior act this way. Perhaps he
was getting old? But he wasn't that old.

A gust of wind swept in, and Zhao Yu stormed in, her face contorted with anger: "Your Excellency Chief of Staff, I formally
request a transfer."

Shikin made a helpless, resigned gesture: "That man has already ordered a freeze on
the formation and movement of the guard unit." He then handed her an order personally signed by the Commander. Zhao Yu stamped her
foot .

Actually, Shikin had his own
ulterior motives in assigning her to guard Li Baisha; he hoped the Commander would understand his sincere desire to serve. The position of Deputy Commander of the Fleet had been vacant for a long time, and he
had wasted too many years as Chief of Staff.

Shikin now thought that assigning Zhao Yu to guard that man might have been a colossal mistake: the lamb had entered
the tiger's den , but the tiger had already been enraged!

He regretted it; his flattery had backfired. A deeper part of Shikin's conscience
tormented him; he felt terrible.

After seeing Zhao Yu off, Shikin washed his face, splashing cold water on it, which instantly sobered him up. Whatever! " At his
age , still trying to curry favor with someone old enough to be his son? It's not worth it!"

He forced himself to pull himself together and began reviewing official documents.

"You dare try to fool me with a report like this?" Shigin roared angrily at a captain he had summoned
.

"Our fleet has its own specific circumstances..." the captain argued.

"Heh heh, this funding was only allocated to you on the 18th of last month, and it's already
used up ?" Shigin disliked those who made excuses when they were wrong, so he pressed for details.

"Last exercise, our ship spent a lot of money, resulting in a huge deficit," the captain said aggrievedly.

"I approved that exercise, and I allocated the funds. That funding was meant to supplement your exercise
needs. Look at your own report; you've submitted a 50,000 yuan repair request three times, brother." Shigin
handed over the report.

"Furthermore, according to the exercise requirements, your ship needs to use 5,000 rounds of ammunition, 200 flares, and
50 missiles, totaling 8 million yuan. Power costs are 1 million yuan, and emergency duty overtime pay is 500,000 yuan
… I calculated all of this before the exercise. You should have a surplus of 3 million yuan in your accounts now."

"Where did you get 3 million? Only 1.5 million…" the captain hurriedly protested, but
stopped when he saw Shigin's cunning, sly smile.

Shigin, not one to back down, immediately retorted, "Since you still have 1.5 million yuan, why submit a report for
additional funds? Where is the money? It must have been embezzled by you corrupt officials." Thinking of that man's face, Shigin…
He was even more annoyed, not caring whether the new captain was new or not.

The captain, thoroughly mocked, blushed and didn't even know what to do with his hands.

"If you don't return the money within three days, you can expect to be court-martialed." Shikin, his face ashen, dismissed
the new captain. This was the fifth person dismissed today.

When it came to official business, Shikin's professionalism was immediately apparent; his command and management abilities were undoubtedly above average.

After venting his inexplicable anger, Shikin felt a little better. It was only natural for the ship's commanders to want to improve the living
or . Besides, these days, who would over-report or under-report? Under-reporting would be foolish
, because the approved funding would be significantly reduced. Only the squeaky wheel gets the grease!

The key issue was that the leadership was corrupt, but how could a mere chief of staff like him decide the problems at the top?

After finishing his official business, Shikin slumped into his chair.

Lost in thought, Shikin suddenly noticed the commander standing smiling at his desk. He quickly
stood up and said, "Sir, if you wanted to see me, a phone call would have sufficed. Why did you come in person?" He
gave his secretary, who was following behind him, a reproachful look.

Li Baisha smiled and waved his hand, saying, "I told her not to notify you." Seeing the mountain
of , Li Baisha was speechless. "You've worked so hard. You're a senior colleague. I only knew you worked hard,
but I didn't know it was this hard. I'm truly ashamed." Not to mention Shikin, even the icy Zhao Yu
would be greatly surprised.

"Sit, sit, sit. Let's not stand." Li Baisha gestured for Shikin to sit down, while he himself sat down
on the worn-out sofa first.

Shikin looked at Li Baisha suspiciously and sat down beside him.

Li Baisha didn't waste any words and went straight to the point: "Given that the position of deputy commander of this independent fleet has
been vacant for a long time, I submitted an application report, and now, the report has been approved."

What? Shikin's heart pounded, his face pale. He stared intently at Li Baisha, trying to discern
something .

Li Baisha remained expressionless, saying, "I wanted to discuss this with you beforehand, but I
reported Douglas to my superiors..."

Before he could finish, Shikin jumped up, excitedly shouting, "Him? No way, absolutely not! He knows
nothing ! He's not even as good as me..." He couldn't finish his sentence.

Li Baisha smiled at him silently. Shikin realized he had lost his composure, his face flushed red, and he sat down
angrily , but now kept a considerable distance from Li Baisha.

Li Baisha didn't seem to mind. He suddenly stood up, his smile vanishing, and then solemnly and loudly proclaimed,
"Chief of Staff of the Fifth Independent Squadron, Shikin, stand at attention and await orders."

Shikin lazily stood up, his legs barely touching. "Sigh," he thought listlessly, "it's probably an
order ."

"Given the long-standing vacancy of the position of Deputy Commander of the Fifth Independent Squadron, and upon the recommendation of Commander Li Baisha ,
Major Shikin, the former Chief of Staff of the Squadron, is hereby appointed as Deputy Commander of the Squadron and concurrently Chief of Staff, promoted to
the . This appointment

is hereby made. Signatory: Commander Tang Na, Fourth Army." With each word Li Baisha read, Shikin
sighed inwardly. When his name was read, his heart skipped a beat . After hearing the entire appointment letter, the gloom in his heart vanished, replaced by overwhelming joy,
and his eyes welled up with tears.

"Congratulations." Li Baisha extended one hand, then the other, and the two hands clasped tightly
together , never to be separated again.

"I'm young and inexperienced. I'll need your help with the affairs of this fleet in the future. Please don't abandon me!"

"Enough with the pleasantries. As long as you need my help, sir, just give the order. If I even
frown 'm not a son of a mother." Shikin couldn't find any words to express his feelings, so he could only
say this.

After achieving his goal, Li Baisha was very happy, but he didn't show it: "Ah, senior, you flatter me
, you flatter me! This is also the superior's affirmation of your ability and character... a discerning eye for talent. I just
recommended you." At the end, Li Baisha's tone was slightly different, because he was still feeling the pinch of that huge check he had given to
someone .

Chapter 06 ◆ Young Major

General As soon as the commander arrived at the office, Chief of Staff Shikin followed him in, intending to inspect the situation in the defense zone.

Along the way, Li Baisha couldn't figure out what was going on, only saying "Good... good... not bad...
" He didn't dare to say anything out of the ordinary, for fear of revealing his true intentions. One thing he was quite clear about was that with its capable officers and
skilled , the fleet under Shikin's command was still quite formidable.

Outside the porthole, the stars twinkled. Li Baisha, who had never conducted an on-site investigation before, was incredibly excited.
Taking his laptop, opened the relevant documents, and listened to a navigator's explanation while
checking his research findings through the "Cosmic Photon Telescope." Each time he verified a correct hypothesis, he would exclaim, "
Fantastic! That's it!" No one would disturb him. The chief of staff dutifully issued a series of orders, and
the entire fleet set sail, then gathered together in a formation to protect the commander's expedition.

Although he had seen it many times before, the adjutant Qin Tian couldn't resist peeking in. He discovered that the computer
screen displayed a huge, slightly asymmetrical, elliptical sphere with many different colored
lines connecting densely packed small dots—more lines than the one he had seen before.

It was the interstellar positioning system that Li Baisha had designed and built over eight years. He collected and organized information on space debris and human activities related to interstellar development and utilization following
past interstellar wars and space disasters,
marking them all in the system. He then combined this information with the latest scientific research from space scientists to calculate
the exact dates and locations of these objects, storing it all within the system.

Fortunately, he had convenient access to a wealth of firsthand data. Of course, the universe
is vast and boundless, and he couldn't possibly mark all the unknown objects. Naturally, he wouldn't be the one actually marking them,
as he didn't have the time.

When Li Baisha discovered the massive fleet beside him, he sighed inwardly, thinking, "Shigin is really meddling!" However, he also understood that
Shigin wanted to demonstrate his military command capabilities.

The thought had barely formed when a piercing alarm blared from the ship: Enemy Situation! A reconnaissance ship reported that a large fleet of unidentified nationality was rapidly approaching from 200,000 kilometers away at 3
PM .
The officer on duty immediately pressed the alarm, which was instantly transmitted throughout the entire fleet via the instant communication device.

"Report: An unidentified fleet is rapidly approaching from 300,000 kilometers to our flank! They are estimated to
encounter us in ten minutes. Please provide instructions, sir!"

Upon receiving the report, Li Baisha shuddered, his body hunched over, almost disappearing under the table,
his usual imposing demeanor vanishing.

Forcing himself to calm down, he suppressed his fear and turned to ask Shikin, who was standing beside him, "Chief of
Staff , if you were in command in this situation, what orders would you give?"

Chief of Staff Shikin, thinking the commander was testing his command abilities, calmly replied,
"I would order the main fleet to adopt a wedge formation, with the flagship at the forefront, cruisers in the second
echelon, the flagship in the center, and destroyers and frigates on the flanks, all
moving forward ."

"Good, issue the orders according to the Chief of Staff's suggestion." Li Baisha proudly gave
the order .

The officer on duty repeated the commander's orders and turned to go about his business.

Seeing that his suggestion had been approved by his superior, Shikin was very happy. What
could be more gratifying than the full recognition of one's superior?

As time passed, the situation became increasingly clear. After spotting the Federation fleet, the enemy sent out a familiar
signal—it was an old acquaintance—Gemov's smuggling fleet.

Everyone looked at the commander, awaiting his further instructions.

They hadn't expected their first patrol to be such a disaster—encountering a smuggling fleet. As if to cover
something up, the commander decisively ordered, "Make them stop immediately and accept inspection."

The order had barely been given when Gramov's curses rang out, "Damn it! Douglas, you've gone too far
! The protection money I pay you every month isn't enough for you to support countless mistresses?"

Higgin coldly stared at the particularly repulsive bald head on the screen and said hatefully, "Douglas
isn't here . This is the commander's order."

"Oh." Silence followed for a moment.

After a while, Gramov, bowing and pleading, begged, "I said, for the
sake of our old friend, could we skip the inspection this time? I'll personally visit the esteemed Commander later."

The communicator clearly transmitted the report from the reconnaissance ship: "Reporting, sir, the smuggling merchant ship is trying to escape at full speed...
"

Li Baisha firmly issued the order to inspect: "Fire a warning shot, and sink it if it doesn't stop." He thought to himself, "
Good heavens, there's a lot of money to be made." This kid is too ungrateful; I've been here for so long, and he hasn't even
come to offer tribute.

"Yes, sir, sink it if it doesn't stop," the officer on duty relayed the order.

Gramov cried out in pain, "Damn it, you guys are too ruthless!" Despite his complaints,
he dared not stop the ship.

The officer inspecting the smuggling ship reported, "A woman has been found bound to a
wooden crate ."

The adjutant interjected, "Bring her to the flagship."

Soon after, the woman and Gramov were brought to the command cabin.

She was a delicate-looking young woman with full brown hair, weeping as she walked, seemingly heartbroken.

Gramov moved closer to Shikin, quietly handing her something and pleading in a low voice, begging him to spare her for
Douglas 's sake.

Mentioning Douglas only fueled Shikin's anger; he glared at Gramov and ignored him.

The commander was somewhat disheartened; he hadn't caught the big fish, but had caught a mermaid instead. After she stopped crying,
he asked, "Who are you? How did you end up bound to this smuggling ship?"

Hearing this, the woman, who had stopped crying, felt a pang of sorrow and burst into tears again.

The embarrassed commander could only look to Zhao Yu beside him for help.

Zhao Yu turned her head away, staring at her toes without saying a word.

At this moment, a beautiful young female officer with red hair gently approached the grieving woman and softly
said , "Good sister, don't cry. What grievance have you suffered? The Commander will take care of you. What are you afraid of?"

Li Baisha breathed a sigh of relief and looked closely; it was Lieutenant
Catherine , who had helped her out of the predicament.

After finally hearing the girl's choked-up account of the whole incident, everyone was utterly shocked.

It turned out that this girl was Princess
Mariana , and the first in line to the throne. During a trip, she had
all her guards killed by a group of masked thugs, and she was taken to a smuggling ship, her destination unknown. She

had truly hit the jackpot.

Shikin, with a mocking smile, gave Gramov a thumbs-up and said, "Brother, you're really something! You
even managed to smuggle a princess from the mighty Sun Empire. I'm completely impressed!"

Gramov stammered, "I didn't know she was a princess of the Red Sun Empire before. I just thought her
ornaments were too dazzling. Based on my experience, I estimated they were worth at least fifty million cosmic gold coins. So I organized
..."

After understanding what had happened, Li Baisha thought that this mermaid might bring him
an opportunity for promotion and wealth, so he quickly ordered the flagship to the Third Fleet's naval port to report to his superiors.

Chief of Staff Shikin was also very happy. The Third Fleet Commander,

who

had already put on a great show of preparing to spend the night with his lover, received Li Baisha with an
extremely . But after hearing this good news, how could he be unhappy? He was overjoyed,
thinking, "Good heavens! A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity has arrived!"

After Li Baisha left, he found something in his hand. He thought to himself, "Li Baisha really is quite capable." After carefully considering
his words, he picked up the phone and quickly reported his brilliant victory to the army group commander: including
how had Li Baisha meticulously planned and ultimately achieved a great victory, dismantling the cosmic smuggling ring and saving the Red Army.
The heir to the Japanese throne.

After leaving home, Li Baisha worked tirelessly, visiting almost every superior who could decide his fate. He also
made a cryptic, seemingly pointed phone call to Chief of the General Staff, Adolf, which Adolf
understood perfectly.

The good news was relayed through the ranks, and his achievements were exaggerated many times over!

Even knowing it was an exaggeration, the fact remained that the man had been captured. Those with objections had little to say,
especially since all the officers wanted to profit from it; not spoiling the mood of superiors was an eternal law in the military.

Soon after, officers at all levels received promotions and rewards, but Li Baisha received no
news . His adjutant was puzzled, and Li Baisha himself was restless and anxious.

Finally, one day, the arrival of a lieutenant general broke the mystery. The Military Commission had
been fiercely debating how to reward Lieutenant Colonel Li Baisha for his bravery in the operation; however, at the insistence of Chief of the General Staff
Adolf , the esteemed Chairman overruled the objections and appointed Li Baisha as
Commander of the Third Fleet stationed at the fortress, promoting him to the rank of Major General.

Li Baisha was completely oblivious to the astonished and envious glances around him, appearing utterly bewildered,
muttering to himself , "How could this be?" He was still lamenting that he would never see that beautiful little princess again.

He had the honor of becoming the first
general in history among graduates of the Federal Space Meteorological and Geological Military Academy, and also the youngest general in Federal history—a twenty-three-year-old general.

A general's star was rising from the horizon!

As the tide rises, so does the boat; having connections makes it easier to get promoted.

Li Baisha entrusted all the daily affairs of the fleet, large and small, to Shikin, who had just been promoted to Corps Chief of Staff,
while he himself rarely stayed in his office.

Shikin was in high spirits, his spirits high after more than ten years as a major. He had recently been promoted to lieutenant colonel and deputy commander
, and now he had risen to commodore chief of staff of the Third Fleet.

He was a general now, and looking at his brand-new commodore uniform, he smiled—a radiant, sunny smile.
He was determined to follow this incredibly lucky commander and be his right-hand man.

The guard captain, Zhao Yu, didn't smile. Despite her promotion to major, she remained as cold and aloof as ever, showing no
change.

Li Baisha was very busy lately, busy dating the red-haired beauty, Catherine.

With her flowing red hair and mature, alluring aura, Catherine was
dismissive of her many suitors.

She had one wish: to marry a general.

The handsome and charming Li Baisha was very popular with young girls. Despite his young age, he was
already a commander. Although Catherine and he were only in a superior-subordinate relationship,
she had somehow come to find him incredibly attractive.

In the opera house's box, they kissed passionately, their experienced tongues teasing
each other's slightly inexperienced tongues . Li Baisha's right hand, through her thin blouse, gently caressed her proud breasts, and Catherine moaned softly
.

Gradually, Li Baisha reached into her bosom and began to fondle them. Her delicate white hands clung tightly to his neck,
her full body trembling.

The outwardly alluring but chaste Catherine gradually became aroused; how could she resist such advances?

His hand slowly moved downwards, slipping inside her panties and caressing between the canyon and the stream. Her most intimate parts were now
even wetter, and an indescribable pleasure made her moan. Suddenly, she felt a chill; her panties had been pulled down
...

Catherine was startled and sat up abruptly, flashing the general a seductive smile: "I need to go to the restroom."
This sent Li Baisha, who was gloating over his impending victory, plummeting into an ice cave, completely stunned.

The slightly cool water splashed on her face, and Catherine cried out, "That was close!" Luckily, she had retained
some sense; otherwise, her dream of becoming the general's wife would have been shattered.

Catherine continued to kiss the general's neck, letting him grope her upper body, but whenever his hand touched her
most private parts, she would immediately spring up and leave her seat to go to the restroom.

The general seemed somewhat bored. But Catherine was now burning with passion, eagerly demanding kisses and
pulling his hand into her bosom, making General Li's heart pound, yet he couldn't make any real progress.

The seasoned lover, Li Baisha, knew perfectly well that she wouldn't act until she saw the results.

He wanted to give up, not wanting to be bound by marriage, but he couldn't bear to let someone else pluck this beautiful flower.
Several times he had almost succeeded, but unfortunately, he always failed at the last minute. Now, feeling a different kind of excitement,
General Li only wanted to focus on conquering her.

Catherine, fully utilizing her feminine charm and wisdom, was always seen with General Li, but never actually
living together. Now everyone in the fleet knew they were dating, so her goal was achieved. Sometimes,
she felt like she was flying a kite.

Douglas, having been exposed by the smuggler Gramov, should have faced a military court-martial, but Li Baisha did
everything in her power to protect him. He was unwilling but helpless, blaming himself for his misfortune. However, he was still grateful to his superior
, especially in the matter of the commander's private life, where he went to great lengths to please him.

General Li's channels for satisfying his sexual needs were very smooth; almost every ten days or so, under
Douglas 's arrangement, socialites, noblewomen, or even young virgins would come to spend the night with him. But the smoother
the flow, the more Douglas wanted him to conquer that unpredictable fortress.

There was also an even larger fortress that he needed to breach, but that fortress was already heavily armed,
seemingly unattainable, and the agonizing torment sometimes almost drove General Li mad.

Chapter 7◆The Outbreak of War

Unbeknownst to many, the political, economic, and military landscape between the cosmic nations underwent a fundamental change. The River Moon
Federation, due to its emphasis on economic development, remained proud of its current economic achievements. However ,
the upper echelons of the River Moon Federation never understood that although they possessed the largest and most advanced fleet, it was
controlled by a group of "elites" who lacked practical combat experience and only knew how to talk the talk.

Its neighbor, the Red Sun Empire, though controlling a small number of star systems, implemented a universal conscription
system coupled with a military management system led by professional officers. Successive emperors and cabinets consistently prioritized the development of a powerful military.
To achieve its consistent goals, the empire, deeply dissatisfied with its long-standing situation,
has been expanding its military and preparing for war both overtly and covertly. It has constantly provoked conflicts with neighboring countries, engaging in both genuine and feigned battles, only to return to
its pre-war . As a result, commanders at all levels have been rotated, constantly honing their
military thinking and command skills through real combat.

However, this militarism has brought economic hardship. Since the empire fell into a nationwide
economic crisis ten years ago, the market has been severely depressed. The empire has used diplomatic intimidation and military invasion to annex
three neighboring countries, but this has failed to curb the economic decline. The devastation of the people, coupled with
policy errors, has led to unrest within the country, severely impacting the morale of the army.

At this time, nationalist sentiment was spreading rapidly within the country, and the "Sissler Party," representing extreme nationalism,
rose to prominence. Capitalizing on public discontent, they promoted the Emperor's militaristic ideology of absolute rule, attempting
to shift the political and economic responsibilities of the Imperial Government onto the River Moon Federation, which was not yet mired in economic crisis. Their party platform
harshly accused the River Moon Federation of being the culprit behind the country's economic crisis .

In the parliamentary elections four years prior, the "Sissler Party" won a vast majority of seats. Although parliament
was merely an advisory body to the Emperor, it directly influenced his perception of public opinion. Initially, the Emperor
was wary of the "Sissler Party," not wanting it to grow too powerful, but considering their royalist nature,
he refrained from suppressing them.

Because they consistently obeyed imperial orders, the Emperor gradually became more at ease, continuously granting them
important positions, culminating in the appointment of their leader as Prime Minister two years ago.

Now, the kidnapping of the princess, the first in line to the Imperial throne, by the despicable River Moon Federation
became the catalyst for a major war.

The Red Sun Empire first demanded the return of the princess from the River Moon Federation through diplomatic notes. After the Galactic Federation politely
declined, the Empire dispatched a delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Oshima as the chief negotiator to the River Moon Federation to
discuss the princess's return. Simultaneously, it secretly issued an emergency mobilization order, while simultaneously
launching to expose the River Moon Federation's despicable and sordid nature under the guise of democracy.

The Director of the River Moon Federation's Central Intelligence Agency had repeatedly reported the Red Sun Empire's various
movements to Prime Minister Bolin, reminding him to be vigilant and take appropriate measures.

Unfortunately, the Prime Minister was blinded by the Federation's apparent strength and satisfied with Oshima's humble
diplomatic posture, consistently doubting that the Red Sun Empire would dare to take action.

Not only the Prime Minister, but most of the Federation's citizens were immersed in their long-standing peaceful and happy lives.
Even though sporadic fighting occasionally occurred in the border regions, the capital of the great democratic Federation had not
witnessed .

In July of Cosmic Calendar 3894, the Red Sun Empire, having long been militarily prepared, saw
its army group , depart from their encampments and gather at the Yamato Fortress on the westernmost edge of the empire
for a meeting.

On July 25th of Cosmic Calendar 3894, Grand Marshal Ono, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Three Armies and
Commander-in-Chief (His Majesty the Emperor was the Commander-in-Chief), secretly arrived at the Yamato Fortress to convene the final pre-war military
conference. Meanwhile, the empire's major newspapers devoted considerable space to reporting that Marshal Ono was ill and hospitalized.

The heads of the River Moon Federation's Central Intelligence Agency were also misled by this false information; as long as Marshal Ono, known as the "Pillar of
the Empire ," remained in the capital, war would not break out.

The military conference was held aboard the heavily guarded interstellar carrier "Kongo."
Marshal swept his piercing eyes over the assembled officers and said, "Given
the uncontrollable escalation of our nation's economic crisis, His Majesty the Wise Emperor has approved our operational plan. As the supreme
commander , I have full authority to command on the battlefield. This final operational plan concerns the very survival of the Empire. Anyone
who dares to disobey orders may be executed without prior notification. Now, I invite all commanders to offer their final opinions."
With that, he closed his eyes and remained silent.

Chief of Staff Ohira Takeo took out a cigarette and sniffed it, but didn't light it, because the Marshal didn't smoke...
After a moment of contemplation, he said, "I think everything that needed to be discussed has already been discussed. Recently, there haven't been any unusual situations with the River Moon Federation's army
, and that so-called Prime Minister hasn't issued an emergency mobilization order, so we can attack here with peace of mind
." As he spoke, he pointed to a fortress clearly marked on a huge map—"South Carmen
Fortress —the location of the Eastern Military Headquarters of the Galactic Federation," and continued, "Gentlemen, once we take this
fortress that has swallowed countless lives of ours throughout history, our powerful Imperial Fleet will be able to drive straight in and strike at the so-called
Democratic Federation's lair:

'Brennie Planet,' and then there will be an inexhaustible supply of fine wine." At this point, Ohira Takeo
made a lewd gesture, "And of course, there will be countless beautiful women for you all to enjoy, hahahaha..."
The generals present also laughed wildly, revealing the lewd smiles of lustful men.

Suddenly, a clear voice rang out from a corner of the back row of the conference room: "Gentlemen, I am of
low rank and should not speak so much, but I must reiterate my point of view." The newly appointed Deputy Commander
and Chief of Staff of the 29th Fleet, the twenty-five-year-old Masayoshi Takahashi, stood up, saluted the esteemed Marshal, and said:
"Judging from the current situation, we can indeed catch them off guard, and our chances of victory are very high. But gentlemen,
please do not forget that the River Moon Federation possesses a powerful manufacturing industry and countless factories. Even if we achieve brilliant results in
a short time , once they regain their senses, we will be no match for them."

The generals, already feverish with anger, were filled
with they clamored to have this man dragged out and locked up. Marshal Ono, who had kept his eyes closed, suddenly
opened them and surveyed the crowd with a majestic gaze…

Overwhelmed by the old marshal's high prestige, the generals all lowered their heads.

Finally, the long-silent marshal spoke: "Actually, Chief of Staff Takahashi's words are not without merit, but we are
now on the verge of action and have no choice but to act. After three years of meticulous organization, our fleet has
secretly arrived at the designated location according to plan. If we cancel the plan now, given enough time, it will inevitably be discovered by the Galactic Federation."
If our intelligence agencies possess this information, our situation will become even more passive, which will seriously affect
the morale of our army. This is something a wise person would not do. "Then the Marshal fell silent again, and after a long while, as if he had made up
his mind : "I order... Vice Admiral Katayama, Commander of the Third Fleet, to lead this fleet as
the vanguard to search and advance according to the pre-arranged plan. Along the way, all people or things that know about your actions must be imprisoned on the spot."
The Marshal hesitated for a moment, then continued: "Or annihilate them all. There must be no mistakes, or else bring
your head to me."

"Yes, or die trying."

The Marshal ignored the slogan and turned to the Chief of Staff: "You must lead the rest of the Imperial
Combined Fleet and all the troops of the First and Second Land Combat Groups as the main attacking force to leapfrog
into the 'South Carmen Planet Fortress' from the center according to the pre-arranged plan."

The fanatical warmonger, Chief of Staff Ohira Takeo, patted his chest, raised his sheathed sword, and made a
firm guarantee: "If the attack fails, I will first use this sword to commit seppuku to thank His Majesty the Emperor for his kindness."

The highly respected Marshal Ono felt the same way, thinking that without His Majesty the Emperor's special decree, he would probably
have died in the cold and damp prison long ago. The Marshal paid his respects to the portrait of His Majesty the Emperor hanging on the wall.

Even the most critical royalists had to admire the Marshal's unwavering loyalty to the Emperor.

Next, the Marshal issued a surprising order: "Major Admiral Takahashi Masayoshi, I hereby appoint you as commander of the
feint attack fleet. Lead the Ninth and Tenth Fleets to
launch a full-scale attack on the Apennine Planet before our main force surrounds the 'South Carolina Planet Fortress.' The attack should appear fierce to lure the
Federation fleet at the 'South Carolina Planet Fortress' to come to its aid, but it is not necessary to eliminate the Galactic Federation's Far Eastern Third Fleet stationed there in the short term
. I believe you are fully capable of this
strategic ." At this point, Takahashi Masayoshi wanted to offer his opinion, but the Marshal waved his hand, saying, "A soldier's duty is to obey orders
." "Yes, sir!" The major admiral, looking utterly helpless, had no choice but to obey.

The Marshal then ordered, "The First, Second, and Third Army Groups, three in total, will be personally commanded and ambush
here." Pointing to an area on the map, he made a gesture of encirclement, saying, "When the Federation
rescue fleet passes by, we will..."

"We'll surround and wipe it out, Your Excellency Marshal," the generals chorused.

Next, the Marshal addressed the Deputy Commander of the Combined Fleet, Harada Shoji, "Your general reserve is extremely important;
you must provide support at any time! At the same time, you must ensure that all our logistical supplies arrive on time." Looking at
his increasingly aged friend, Harada Shoji embraced him tightly, everything unspoken. Finally, the Marshal suddenly
raised his voice, saying, "Gentlemen, His Majesty the Emperor will personally bestow honors upon you at the Red Sun Palace."

"Long live His Majesty the Emperor! Long live His Majesty! Long live His Majesty!" On the planet Brunnie, the Empire's diplomatic efforts
continued intensely. Foreign Minister Oshima of the Empire pulled out all the stops, negotiating with high-ranking Federation officials to
expedite the princess's return home. The more actively he worked, the more the high-ranking officials of the River Moon Federation
believed the Imperial princess they had acquired was the Empire's lifeline; with her in their hands, the Empire would never dare to act rashly,
thus making them even more reassured.

Meanwhile,

Li Baisha at the Apennine Fortress was also busy, though not preparing for war; he still believed war
was far off. By chance, he heard that this old scientist had gathered a group of previously overlooked
experts in cosmology and electronic communications, and in a very short time, developed a simple,
durable and timely alarm communication device. The biggest difference between this device and those currently in use was that it could actively
search for targets and issue timely warnings, operating in orbit for decades. Therefore, after successfully organizing the experiment, Li Baisha
secretly ordered the fleet's factories to begin manufacturing it, then placed these inconspicuous little devices on
some cosmic coordinates personally designated by Li Baisha. Having just completed deployments within his jurisdiction two days ago, Commander Li's primary
concern is protecting his own life.

After nearly making a fool of himself in the smuggling incident, Li Baisha has moved his office
to the "Monte Carlo," the fleet's most heavily armed and best-protected super-battleship, and ordered all
main fleets to be capable of launching combat operations within ten minutes.

Simultaneously, on Chief of Staff Shikin's advice, Li Baisha issued
an order to concentrate the use of all the fleet's main warships and formed a powerful task force, appointing himself commander while Chief of Staff Shikin handles
the specific command. This was his original intention: to make his fleet as elite as possible; everything else
could wait.

Shikin also transferred a large number of experienced officers from various fleets to serve as commanders of the
three .

After reorganization, the task force's number of warships decreased significantly, but its actual combat effectiveness increased considerably.
It was stationed on the asteroid "Mike," one light-year away from the Apennine Fortress.

However, Li Baisha made no progress against Zhao Yu's fortress. As time passed, his
desire grew stronger, accompanied by increasing patience and perseverance.

Unaware of all this, Commander Takahashi Masayoshi
quietly arrived near the Apennine planet on August 5th, 3894 in the Cosmic Calendar.

After making contact with agents already infiltrated on the Apennine planet, Major General Takahashi was puzzled:
where had all the main warships gone?

He ordered the reconnaissance ships, disguised as merchant vessels, to search for the Federation's Seventh Legion.

Coincidentally, due to insufficient supplies, a transport ship ordered to resupply the task force was
brazenly towards the task force's location on the asteroid "Mike."

The Imperial reconnaissance boats, having unexpectedly discovered the transport fleet, did not alert them. They
reported to Commander Takahashi while maintaining a safe distance and following them.

They eventually tracked them all the way to the task force's headquarters. Lieutenant Commander Yamaki, the captain of the Imperial reconnaissance boat, was remarkably audacious,
ordering the boat to disguise itself as a merchant ship bound for the Apennine Peninsula, even passing right under the task force's noses
. Because so many merchant ships passed through that area, and more importantly, because no one would suspect that an enemy vessel was among them...
The presence of human-made ships caught the attention of the careless Federation patrol ship, which easily let the
well .

Major Shan Qi peered through the high-definition particle telescope inside the ship and was utterly astonished!
"My God! So many capital ships! What incredible luck!" He quickly ordered his men to photograph every
ship .

Looking at the data displayed on the screen, Major General Takahashi laughed heartily. "Heaven is on my side!" he thought. "
A would annihilate the entire main force of the Seventh Legion." However, the objective of this mission was to destroy
a portion of their forces and then trap them, drawing the fleet from the "South Carolina Planet Fortress" to their aid.

Major General Takahashi came from the prestigious "Takahashi Family" of the Solar Empire. His grandfather, Takahashi Fuwa, had served as
the Empire's Minister of War and Commander of the Combined Fleet.

His father, General Takahashi Ryutada, was the Vice-President of the Imperial National Defense Command University and a leading figure in modern space military reforms . He was highly regarded by the Emperor and enjoyed immense prestige
among the younger, high-ranking officers in the Imperial Army . With his black hair, short stature, and imposing presence, Takahashi Masayoshi possessed a stubborn yet unyielding character. From a young age, influenced by his grandfather and father, he was determined to dedicate even unto death. He lacked the typical airs of aristocratic youths, living a very simple life, humble and cautious, with a persistent, inquisitive nature. His only "flaw" was his charm with women, especially beautiful ones; during his time at military academy, he even earned the nickname "The Casanova Takahashi." He devoted himself to the study of military theory, constantly researching the frontline military doctrines of various nations. After graduation, he participated in hundreds of battles, large and small, displaying exceptional bravery and strategic acumen. He enjoyed combining his military theory with practical experience, identifying similarities and differences, and continuously refining his approach. During a campaign against the Moxi Empire, Major Takahashi, taking advantage of an enemy oversight, achieved the remarkable feat of capturing no fewer than a hundred cruisers without any main battleships. He was awarded the Imperial Order of the Cherry Blossom, Third Class, personally bestowed by His Majesty the Emperor, along with the "Breaking Army Sword," a scepter awarded only for exceptional merit. He subsequently became known throughout the Imperial military as "Fox Takahashi." Now, this "Fox Takahashi" is squinting, unconsciously rubbing his prominent nose, staring intently at the "Breaking Army Sword" bestowed upon him by His Majesty the Emperor, his gaze lingering . Familiar with his thoughtful expression as he touches his nose, Yuriko Koyama leans against the porthole, leisurely stroking her long, flowing black hair. In the perfectly placed light, a stunningly beautiful woman with almond-shaped eyes, peach-blossom cheeks, a touch of red on her lips, and skin as white as snow—a woman of perfect thinness and traditional Eastern beauty—stands gracefully in the room. Suddenly, the beauty smiled, instantly filling the room with spring. If anyone else were there, their heart would surely pound so hard it would be suffocating. Her movements were so graceful and coordinated; nestled in Takahashi's arms, she swayed her hips, even her coquettishness was indescribable: "Darling, you've been ignoring me for so long, it's driving me crazy! You have to make up for it!" Takahashi pinched her delicate nose and exclaimed, "Make up for what? You wouldn't be thinking of…" As he spoke, a devilish hand landed on her vital area, gently kneading it. The beauty's face flushed red, and she twisted trying to escape the annoying hand. Half-heartedly resisting, a pear blossom was about to fall upon the crabapple blossom, poised for action, when suddenly, a loud, jarring knock came at the door. Damn it, which damned bullshit was it again! Enraged but unable to retaliate, the man hurriedly straightened his uniform. His adjutant, secretly amused, helped him tidy his disheveled hair. With a "Come in," a burly man burst in like a whirlwind. He was dressed as a colonel, and his voice preceded his arrival: "Commander, the prize is right in front of you! What are you waiting for? This isn't like you at all!" Takahashi glanced at his trusted lieutenant and teased, "Ozawa, how do you plan to eat this piece of meat?" Ozawa scratched the back of his head. The fearless and valiant soldier replied gruffly, " I'll just shoot wherever you point, sir!" Takahashi, both amused and exasperated, could only give a serious order: "Colonel... attention! Forward! Target : mess hall! Enemy—bacon sandwiches!" The beautiful adjutant, looking at her lover who rarely joked, smiled knowingly: "Darling, you've got an idea, have n't you?" "Hmm, darling, tell me, if you wanted to destroy the enemy's main fleet while also holding them off until reinforcements arrive, what method would you use?" Takahashi asked affectionately, his arm around his beloved's slender waist. "I...I...I'll kiss you!" The beauty's eyes flickered, and her lips pressed against her lover's full lips. After a long while, their lips parted reluctantly, and Takahashi, with a hint of regret for not having truly experienced ecstasy, revealed the answer: "I'll lure it out first, towards the 'Apennine Fortress,' then intercept it halfway, cutting off its retreat and forcing it to hold the 'Apennine Fortress' under my command, awaiting reinforcements." Looking at her jubilant lover, who seemed to have already won, the adjutant asked疑惑地问道, "Why not trap them on the current asteroid?" Takahashi, already confident of victory, explained, "Binding the enemy's main fleet on a poorly supplied asteroid would make it easy for us to defeat them, but it would lose the driving force to mobilize the enemy forces at the 'South Carolina Fortress,' thus rendering our campaign meaningless. Only by exploiting the enemy's focus on the entire ' Apennine Fortress' can we ambush them while they are moving, relieving pressure on the eventual capture of the 'South Carolina Fortress.' Otherwise, if the enemy remains huddled together, the blitzkrieg will turn into a protracted war, a catastrophe for our Imperial fleet, which has traveled a long distance , lacks strategic advantage, and has long supply lines." Since ancient times, beauties have loved heroes. Looking at her lover's dashing and commanding presence, the beauty offered another kiss. Once Takahashi made up his mind, he would carry it out without hesitation. Referring to the diagram made the following deployment: "I order Rear Admiral Nagumo, Commander of the Ninth Fleet, to lead his fleet to ambush near star system a 780e986542137, awaiting the enemy's main fleet's return to reinforce the 'Apennine Fortress'."

"When the enemy is about to retreat, intercept them halfway. Only allow them to advance; do not allow them to retreat back to Planet 'Mike'." The order
had barely been given when Nagumo rolled his eyes and said, "Why don't we just launch a full-scale attack while the enemy is unprepared and
annihilate them all in one fell swoop?" Nagumo had actually attended Marshal Ono's military conference and was well aware of the Marshal's intentions. He was
simply very uncomfortable with Takahashi's arrogant attitude; at least he should have consulted with the senior commander!

Takahashi, of course, understood his thoughts. Bearing a heavy responsibility, as the commander-in-chief of the feint attack fleet, he naturally
had the right to make specific military arrangements. Takahashi coldly replied, "Admiral Nagumo may have objections, but you must obey orders
now , or you will be court-martialed." Nagumo said nothing more, and Takahashi continued, "Colonel Ozawa,
you will lead the first, second, third, and fourth squadrons of the Tenth Fleet to attack the '
Apennine . The attack must be fierce, fierce, and fierce! Advance only, no retreat! You may only
retreat upon my order!"

"Yes, sir! I will certainly complete the mission!" Ozawa was overjoyed, dancing with excitement. He was
happy as long as there was a battle.

Takahashi nodded to Yamamoto, the commander of the Tenth Fleet, and said, "Senior, let's lead
the remaining squadrons of the Tenth Fleet to guard this vital passage." He pointed to a star field on the large screen.

The white-haired, veteran Imperial Fleet Rear Admiral Yamamoto nodded, inwardly sighing, "The younger generation is truly formidable!"

With the arrangements complete, Takahashi humbly addressed the commanders, "Seniors, please forgive any shortcomings in my work .
For the sake of the Empire's flag forever flying over the capital of the Galactic Federation, I urge you all
to proceed ." He then bowed deeply to everyone.

Deeply moved, the commanders stood up and quickly returned the bow, "We dare not! We dare not! It's all for the long-term prosperity of the Empire
!" After seeing off the commanders, Takahashi ordered the entire fleet to prepare for dinner and await orders to set sail.

The Apennine Fortress was bathed in the tranquil night, and those who had worked all day were soundly asleep.

The lieutenant on duty lay listlessly in his chair, the large screen displaying familiar lights—
everything was so monotonous and tedious, yet so peaceful and serene.

The lieutenant had a beautiful wife and several well-behaved children. His happy family life made him extremely
reluctant to stay in the cold, impersonal duty room. He had already looked at the clock on the wall eight times:
why hadn't the replacement arrived yet?

Suddenly, the entire fortress shook—a massive, deafening tremor!

The lieutenant was filled with doubt and uncertainty. Could it be a gas plant explosion?

The tremors continued unabated.

The lieutenant quickly grabbed the phone and dialed the gas monitoring center located at the police headquarters. "Hello, this is
the fortress fleet duty room. Where has the gas exploded?" As he was asking the question, a huge tremor knocked him to the ground.
He regained his senses and saw countless enormous points of light appearing on the large screen! As the distance drew closer, he finally
saw clearly : an enemy attack! An enemy attack!

The lieutenant staggered to the command console and pressed the alarm!

The entire fortress was in a state of panic. No one knew what had happened. People thought it was
an earthquake and were awakened from their sleep, running into the streets. The streets were teeming with people, a cacophony of shouts and cries
mingling with the wails of children, a symphony foreshadowing impending disaster.

Suddenly, a deafening explosion erupted, a massive mushroom cloud bursting forth from the crowd, a scene of
carnage .

A brave woman comforted trembling children, saying, "Mommy's here,
don't be afraid, be strong, God is with us..." Before she could finish speaking, another mushroom cloud rose, engulfing
them .

The entire fortress was shrouded in blood and fire, filled with cries, screams, and weeping... In the flames,
a young lieutenant, his face still bearing the innocence of youth, had just given the order to fire in response when he was swallowed by enemy fire;
a young life was extinguished.

The entire fortress was enraged. First, sporadic small-caliber cannons retaliated, then,
after a tremendous roar, a poignant and dazzling mushroom cloud began to bloom above the enemy fleet—the 388-caliber
fortress main gun, the "Kalamov," roared in fury.

The lieutenant on duty rallied from his panic and issued a series of clear orders. The counterattack began in an orderly
fashion . A massive energy shield slowly descended, and all types of main guns that could be used roared,
as if the cannons had been infused with a soul, venting their pent-up anger.

But the counterattack seemed so pale and powerless, so insignificant, before the premeditated attack!

Colonel Ozawa, a born bloodthirsty creature, saw everything before him through the large screen. He was extremely excited. The surprise
attack had yielded even better results than he had expected. The garrison fleet at the military airport
had been completely destroyed under the relentless attack.

He excitedly issued the order to destroy everything: "All fleet artillery
will bombard at full speed, firing 160 rounds per second. In fifteen minutes,
all will be deployed to search for and destroy any remaining enemy aircraft, while simultaneously covering the Marine Corps' landing operation. The Marine Corps
will begin moving towards this location after half an hour of bombardment." He pointed to the most severely damaged fortress, Sector E8. Although brave
and ruthless , he was not stupid, despite his rich combat experience (though this intelligence was only evident on the battlefield).

The situation at the fortress was becoming increasingly dire!

Chapter 8◆ Fight Back

When General Li Baisha received the report of the enemy attack from the flagship's duty officer, he did his utmost to drive away
the "Duke of Zhou" who still wanted to talk to him.

What to do? What to do?

The bewildered general looked pitifully at Lieutenant Catherine, whose red hair flowed down her shoulders and who should have been incredibly beautiful but whose face was now ashen
, trying to find an answer in her expression.

But all he found was disappointment!

Upon receiving the news, everyone rushed to the commander's cabin to await his orders.

Feigning composure, Li Baisha pondered for a moment, and finally, amidst the anxious waiting, gave the order: "First,
report to the army group commander that we have been ambushed by the Red Sun Empire. Then, the entire fleet weighs anchor and sets sail to rescue the suffering people of
the fortress , and drag that damned Red Sun down the mountain..."

Fortunately, everyone was used to his ramblings. Brigadier General Shikin, as the chief of staff, took it upon himself to issue
specific orders: "All warships, launch into the first combat attack formation,
advance , launch all reconnaissance boats, search for enemy tracks, and report any situation immediately!"
Within a very short time after receiving the order, the task force was ready for battle, formed its formation, and set off.

During their advance, a clear "whoosh whoosh whoosh" alarm suddenly sounded from the corner of the large screen. Upon closer inspection, everyone
saw a tiny, almost invisible point of light flashing. What was going on?

The disheveled Li Baisha leaned over to take a closer look and shouted, "Damn it!" He then frantically
searched for something on the computer. After a while, a massive enemy fleet appeared on the large screen, like a behemoth
, silently lying in the star field that the fleet was about to pass through. The Major General, flustered and anxious, ordered, "Quickly,
stop! There's an enemy fleet lying in ambush at eight o'clock!"

Everyone in the command room was confused by the Commander's order, but they remained silent, waiting for
his command obeying orders was a soldier's duty!

Finally, the massive inertia was brought to a halt, and the task force came to a stop.

The Commander gestured wildly as he explained, but no one understood what he was saying. After
his explained the Commander's research findings, the esteemed Commander noticed everyone
staring at him as if he were a monster. Feeling a pang of guilt, he said, "What are you looking at? Never seen a handsome man before?" "

Hahahaha..." The most exaggerated laughter came from the beautiful Catherine.

"This is ridiculous!" Hearing someone's complaint, everyone burst into laughter.

It took him a while to realize that he had mistakenly said eight o'clock instead of three o'clock.

Li Baisha, utterly humiliated, also caught a glimpse of the red-haired beauty's voluptuous curves.

The Red Sun Empire's ambush fleet, already gaping its jaws in anticipation of their prey, was astonished to find that the Federation
's main fleet, just before entering the ambush zone, had stopped and turned tail!

Due to Takahashi's strict pre-battle regulations, all fleets entering the ambush area maintained complete silence. Therefore,
Rear Admiral Nagumo, commanding the ambush, could only watch helplessly as the task force receded into the distance. Finally, unable to bear it any longer, he reported this anomaly to
Takahashi .

Takahashi, stationed in the second ambush zone, thought, "This is bad. The enemy might be running away. Could it be that
the enemy fleet commander could foresee my plan? Impossible! How could someone
see through such a meticulous plan?"

Seeing the massive fleet relentlessly pursuing him, he wiped the cold sweat from his brow. At that moment, Catherine, taking advantage of the others'
inattention , secretly rewarded him with a sweet kiss.

Li Baisha's only thought at this moment was to escape as far as possible, and he ordered, "Full speed retreat!"
Chief of Staff Shigin felt something was amiss, but remained silent.

Major Hubble, the one-eyed commander, watching the screen show the fortress engulfed in flames and a scene of carnage, yelled irritably
, "Commander, if we run, what will happen to the fortress?" The Commander retorted, "Didn't you
see the powerful enemy chasing us? If we don't run, we'll perish with the fortress!" He urged
the fleet to speed up, until the chief engineer reported that it was already at its fastest speed, at which point he reluctantly stopped
urging them on.

Suddenly, Li Baisha found the command room completely silent. Apart from his own shouting, no other
sound came out, and everyone was staring at him with strange, unfamiliar eyes… "Lieutenant, shall we go play a game of chess
?"

The usually obedient adjutant seemed not to hear him, remaining silent.

Just as Li Baisha was about to leave, the tender-hearted Catherine called out expectantly, "Baisha...
" Unable to suppress the fear in his heart, Li Baisha struggled to escape.

Zhao Yu, who rarely uttered a word, suddenly drew his gun, tossing it up and down, and coldly asked Shigin,

"Chief of Staff, desertion in battle is a capital offense, isn't it?" Shigin stared blankly at the guard captain,
opening his mouth but not speaking.

Suddenly, Li Baisha's face turned pale, as if afraid he would die if he spoke too late, and he ordered the chief of staff, "
I now authorize you to have full command of the fleet to rescue the fortress." He had no doubt that Zhao Yu was serious.

Inexplicably, how did the guy who was just terrified suddenly change his tune? Major Hubble shook his large
head, unable to understand.

Catherine watched Li Baisha's retreating figure through teary eyes, thinking, "I didn't misjudge him. He's not just a
general , he's a real man!"

In truth, Li Baisha was terrified! "Ugh, what a miserable life! I've run into this
guard captain who only knows military discipline! Damn it! I'll die at her hands sooner or later, let alone get her!" Chief of Staff

Shikin, his spirits lifted, sat on the command platform and notified the fleets following closely behind:

"As per the Commander's instructions, I now order the entire fleet to turn towards four o'clock, pass through the bottom of 'Dop
Planet ,' and support the fortress in its distress." The communicator crackled with cheers from the fleets, proving
the order was popular. The Commander's glorious image was even more towering and unapproachable in people's minds.

Shikin continued issuing orders: "I order the Second Squadron to proactively intercept and block the pursuing enemy fleet.
Don't linger; just keep them occupied." He paused, then added, "Good luck, Major Zhong!"
Zhong's playful voice came through the communicator: "I'll coil around the enemy like a snake. Rest assured, Commander and
Chief of Staff ."

Colonel Ozawa, launching the final attack, was flushed with excitement. A bunch of bumpkins! He
could no contain his impulse, rushing out of the command room, roughly dragging out a
pilot who had just replenished his ammunition and was about to take off again, climbing onto him, shouting, "Kill! Kill! Kill them all!" A small boat carrying Ozawa's "
Hellflower " sped off the mothership. Without orders, all the pilots
followed their commander with fanatical fervor, charging towards the fortress.

The fortress's defenses were originally quite complete, with three full anti-aircraft divisions stationed there. If it weren't for
a surprise attack, combined with the strength of the fleet stationed there, it would have been a force to be reckoned with for any nation.

What a pity! Caught off guard by a surprise enemy attack, the airport's fleet was completely destroyed, rendering it
unable to protect the fortress at the crucial moment. Even without air superiority, the fortress still possessed considerable strength, but unfortunately...
Because the energy shield failed to activate in time,
many of , leaving gaps in the defensive system. The cunning enemy concentrated their attacks on these areas,
causing increasing losses and pushing the fortress to the brink of collapse. Morale was wavering… The exhausted soldiers
could clearly see the狰狞 (zhengning

, meaning ferocious or hideous) face of Ozawa charging towards them. It was over! Suddenly, a series of rapid explosions erupted from the Imperial fleet.

Chief of Staff Shigin arrived with his task force. Seeing the devastated fortress, he was enraged!
The entire fleet was furious!

Shigin, laden with angry cannon fire, unleashed a torrent of fire at the damned Red Sun traitors.

Ozawa looked back—damn it! When had the enemy fleet gotten behind him?

He abandoned his plan to continue attacking the weakened fortress, turning back to reinforce it.

Our reinforcements have arrived! We're saved! News of Li Baisha's arrival with his fleet spread throughout
the fortress , causing an uproar!

With only four squadrons, Ozawa was no
match for the task force's concentrated strongest battleships, even in a direct confrontation, and could only suffer heavy losses and retreat.

Ozawa cursed angrily, "Damn Nagumo, I curse your ancestors for eighteen generations! What kind of ambush was this?"
He had no choice but to order his fleet to retreat immediately; any later and it would be too late.

Caught off guard, Ozawa also tasted the "goodness" of a surprise attack.

The task force was jubilant; the enemy had been repelled! Just

as the chief of staff was about to order a pursuit, Li Baisha stopped him, saying, "Don't chase them. Be careful not to fall into another enemy
ambush." The task force then returned to the fortress, where they were warmly welcomed by the entire population. People spontaneously
gathered around, and Li Baisha, standing on the bridge, waved repeatedly, saying, "You've been frightened
. I'm ashamed of my incompetence, causing you all to suffer..." At that moment, his image in the people's eyes
was incredibly noble!

Having just calmed the fortress's inhabitants and returned, a sudden gasp erupted in the command room. Li Baisha abruptly noticed a dense array of red dots on
the screen : the enemy was closing in.

His face turned green, and the scalding hot coffee he'd been holding had somehow spilled onto his feet, the burning sensation
running down trousers and into his boots. A series of pitiful screams filled the command room!

Fortunately, the high-energy shields had all been deployed, and the fortress, after emergency repairs by the officers and soldiers, had regained
some of its defensive capabilities. Ordinary naval bombardment of the fortress had little effect.

A major battle of attack and defense was inevitable.

Takahashi, who was originally guarding the fortress fleet on the run, received Nagumo's report and promptly adjusted his battle plan
. He ordered a pursuit while simultaneously blocking Ozawa's escape route with his fleet, preparing to ambush
Li Baisha. Unfortunately, Ozawa was too cowardly to pursue, escaping a close call – a stroke of good luck amidst misfortune… Nagumo ultimately
failed to catch Zhong Si's fleet, which was focused solely on escape. Nagumo deliberately left an opening, hoping Zhong Si would return to the fortress, but Zhong
Si preferred to wander in outer space rather than return.

The overall situation was that most of Li Baisha's fleet was surrounded within the fortress and unable to move. Takahashi concentrated
the fleet's powerful firepower and launched a full-scale attack.

Li Baisha was increasingly anxious due to the constant stream of bad news.

"Sir, the artillery in the East Ninth District has been silenced."

"Sir, the fortress in the West Third District has been breached by enemy marines."

"Hurry! Hold on! Hold on!" Li Baisha could only repeat these two sentences.

Seeing that his commander was truly panicked, Chief of Staff Shikin consciously took over the heavy responsibility of command: "I order
all officers and soldiers of the supervisory team to move to the front line. Anyone who deserts will be executed without exception. Activate the rotating defense system, and all
main guns will be activated with 360-degree firing systems to provide support at any time for the direction most heavily attacked by the enemy. If any officer
is killed in action, the deputy officer will take over, and so on. If an officer is killed, the soldier with the highest rank will take over command.
If any officer attempts to abandon his responsibility and flee, anyone can be shot dead, no matter who it is, it will be considered a meritorious deed..."

With guns pointed at their backs, the officers of all ranks had no way to retreat and could only organize their troops to fight back, finally
repelling the enemy's frenzied attacks time and time again.

One day, two days, eight days passed. The fortress was constantly on the verge of collapse. Li Baisha's voice was hoarse from
shouting for help.

Seeing that the fortress wouldn't last until tomorrow night, everyone gathered in the fortress command room, waiting to hear the commander's
brilliant plan to repel the enemy.

Li Baisha wanted to speak but dared not: he might as well surrender. He didn't want to become cannon fodder and die unjustly here.
After all, he still had money and "skills," so he wasn't afraid of being left without a way out.

He had already escaped once. Back then, he disguised himself as a civilian and blended into the
crowd . Unfortunately, his beloved guard captain, Zhao Yu, pressed a "heaven-shattering gun" against his chest, her eyes filled with
murderous intent: "I'll give you three seconds to consider. Either obediently return to command post, or..." Before she could
finish speaking , this "super deserter" had already obediently left with her.

Lieutenant Colonel Hubble, his head bandaged, remained as bold as ever despite his injury, shouting first, "I'll risk it all, even if I lose one
, I'll make three! Come on, you bastards!" No one spoke. The harsh reality was beyond what
courage they still had hope: reinforcements from "South Carolina Fortress,"
personally led by the Commander-in-Chief, had been on their way for two days.

Everyone eagerly awaited their arrival!
